  So first hot topic for this week, Nazem Kadri.

  He's been on here before a lot, actually a few times over the

  course of the season. Everyone's talking to Cook is he

  backs, he cooked. Do we how do we expect him to do

  with the trade? Where's he going, blah, blah,

  blah. Well, he finally got traded.

  He's in Colorado and at the same time as this trade rapid.
• 3:05
  Well, probably not the exact same moments, but Gabe Landeskog
• 3:08
  is out week to week with this new turn of events.

  Also artery leakin out week to week previously.

  So with this new turn of events, Nazim country kind of finds
• 3:17
  himself on line 2 power play one soon to probably get right wing
• 3:21
  eligibility because he's playing on the wing in Colorado.

  What is his value after the trade?

  What do you think? So Kevin and I spoke a little
• 3:31
  bit about this in the previous episode, the one that that you
• 3:36
  missed because of the cold. So again, kudos for power and

  through and hanging in there. We all hope you feel better

  He told me that initially when you guys were speaking about

  this, he was leaning towards Kadri getting a spot on the wing

  and you thought he was gonna play centre.

  I think that this is really kind of the crux of it.

  If he plays centre, I am very skeptical about his value
• 4:03
  because this is a team with insane centre depth and I don't
• 4:08
  think he's going to supplant Brock Nelson, who's been solid
• 4:10
  all year. If he plays on the wing with
• 4:13
  McKinnon, I think it's going to be a turn around like the second
• 4:18
  best, you know, points per game of his career henceforth.

  The best being like that 190 point season in Calgary, which
• 4:24
  or sorry in Colorado, which was absolutely ridiculous.

  But yeah, either way, I mean, it's just to me, it's gotta be
• 4:32
  he has to play on one of the top 2 lines somehow and then I love
• 4:36
  it if he gets put to line 3, like forget it.

  So it's really one or the other go big or go home type thing.

  Yeah. And I think that the timing of
• 4:46
  this land scag injury just could not have worked better for Kadri
• 4:49
  because like I said, he's playing in that top six.
• 4:52
  He's playing on power play 1, two things that I didn't think
• 4:54
  were possible when the trade originally happened.

  But like I said, the combination of Lebanon and Landeskog being
• 4:59
  out, this is kind of just like a perfect, perfect storm for for
• 5:03
  Kadri just to turn him into an elite fantasy asset to end out
• 5:06
  the fantasy season. So if he's available in your
• 5:08
  leagues, I would absolutely pick him up, even if you have too
• 5:10
  many pure sees, if Yahoo does their job, which is a big if so,
• 5:14
  you know, take that with great assault.
• 5:15
  But if they do their job, he should get figure eligibility
• 5:17
  soon. So I think that he's a monster
• 5:20
  pickup, especially with Colorado's playoff schedule.

  And I think at this point both lacking in Atlantis gauge are
• 5:25
  earliest coming back for game one of the playoffs.

  They're not going to risk their health when they're looking to
• 5:29
  make a deep playoff run by doing like bringing up for meaningless
• 5:32
  regular season games. Yeah, 100% agree.

  And they're both week to week like you said.

  I mean it's already listed that. So I think that this is a
• 5:39
  tremendous opportunity for him to have a big turn around.

  I wonder if he gets the winger eligibility as it happened yet.

  And like I said, Yahoo doesn't always do their job so.

  But I just think he's a very high upside play.

  And so even if you have too many CC's, I think there's a chance

  that it works out for you. Five shots, three hits in his

  Can't complain about that. The one thing he's missing is he

  won't be getting any faceoff wins.

  But I think you're very happy with that trade in most leagues.

  Next, we've got Sergei Bobrovsky.

  So throughout the entire season, it feels like we've been talking
• 6:20
  about him as a Bilo because you know, Florida's back-to-back cup
• 6:23
  champs or like there's no way they're missing the playoffs,
• 6:25
  like blah, blah, blah. You know, at this point in the
• 6:27
  season, they've essentially said we're going to tank for the best
• 6:32
  possible drafting that we could get.
• 6:34
  So their draft pick that they made a trade for Seth Jones,
• 6:36
  right? They gave up their first round
• 6:38
  pick, but it's top 10 protected. So essentially they need to make
• 6:41
  sure that they drop down to the bottom 10 in the league so that
• 6:44
  they get to keep their first round pick this year.
• 6:46
  So they've already shut down. I don't know if you saw them
• 6:48
  just today announced they essentially shut down Marshall
• 6:50
  for the season. So they're pretty like, I think
• 6:54
  anyone who you know has a broken nail, they're going to be like,
• 6:57
  alright, you're done. Because it's not even just about
• 7:00
  not risking the entry for no reason, but I think they
• 7:02
  actively wanna tank. So anyways, all that to say, but
• 7:06
  he's been pretty awful all season.

  But the one kind of saving grace has been we view Florida as a
• 7:10
  very strong team. If Florida is no longer a strong
• 7:13
  team, is Bobrovsky droppable? Yeah, I mean, I think so.

  I, I think it, it obviously like big caveat your goalie depth in

  the, in the league, like that's, that's like a very, you know,

  important start here. Like right now our best options

  are the 2 Toronto guys. I mean, I think I would rather

  Bob over them. Kind of lost it.

  Then I think it's. Kind of, sure, yeah.

  them to get money. But now that like Panthers are

  kind of like at Philly level of a team, you just take the guy

  who's putting up the better numbers.

  So I think Phil Darcy is out there.

  And younger guy there's still like fighting for a spot.

  I wouldn't be surprised if they shut Bob down, like you said,

  with a very small injury that doesn't even warrant keeping him

  Yeah. So I mean, all those things,

  like 1, he he is on the older side, and two, Florida's

  tanking. It's a perfect storm.

  That's a recipe for his fantasy value.

  That's a good kind of line. Yeah, no, actually I fully

  agree. I think he's droppable in in

  most leagues. I think it's not now it's the

  point. You have our permission now he

  knows. So yeah, I don't see this

  happening with the coming with the Panthers.

  Honestly, I thought they would turn it around, especially with

  the good shot coming back. But it just seems like injuries

  and just wear and tear from all these cup runs.

  This has caught up to them on the.

  Just being so competitive. And the Atlantic specifically

  also. Exactly, Yeah.

  Exactly. On the note of the Florida

  Panthers, Seth Jones, do we think comes back or is he

  getting shut down for the year? Because I saw he was practicing

  in full contact. And then today, Palmeri says

  he's practicing full contact, but he has some stuff that needs
• 9:11
  to heal up still. And it kind of feels like if
• 9:14
  they weren't in the playoff race, Jones would be back by
• 9:17
  now. But since they're not and
• 9:19
  they're kind of actively tanking, is there a chance that
• 9:21
  they just kind of hold them out for the rest of the season?

  That's kind of like, I'm not sure, you know, So I'm holding
• 9:27
  Jones. I mean, I have an IR spot for
• 9:28
  him, so it doesn't cost me anything.

  But is he worth a stash? Is he worth, you know, like

  picking up and like, like holding if you have like a dead
• 9:37
  roster spot, if you have, you know, maybe if you're
• 9:40
  comfortable for playoffs, is it worth the risk?

  I don't know. What do you think about that

  whole situation? I don't think that they're gonna

  shut him down if he's able to play, if he's gonna contact, if

  he's like. And I know this is exactly the

  opposite of what we said with Bob.

  The difference with Bob is that, you know, he's one of the oldest
• 9:56
  goalies in the league at this point.

  Why would they risk any form of serious injury with him?

  Whereas these players do generally want to play.

  And I think that if he's already missed such a big chunk of the
• 10:10
  season, I don't think that they're going to rush him back

  by any means. But I think it'll get a few

  games before the end of the season.

  Yeah, I think I kind of view it the same way where like I saw

  like, I mean, I've been holding him for like months now, right,

  hoping that he would come back. And I saw that he was like
• 10:27
  practicing, practicing full contact.

  I'm like, OK, he's back any day now.

  And now like this newest thing like this really seems like

  they're gonna like delay it. Like he's gonna play, like you
• 10:35
  said, probably a few games, but it feels like they're gonna
• 10:37
  delay it way longer than it has to be because they're not in it.

  So there's no reason for them to rush.

  So I feel like I'm still happy to stash him.

  I'm hoping like if I make it to, you know, week 22, week 23, that
• 10:47
  he could come back. They have a four-game week both
• 10:49
  those weeks. So if he comes back, either of
• 10:50
  those, you're happy to have him. But it does kind of suck how
• 10:53
  that season ended up for him because he was kind of just
• 10:55
  hitting his stride before that injury.

  Yeah, yeah, I'm, I'm with you there.

  Alright, next we've got Robert Thomas, who, you know, another
• 11:04
  much talked about name over the course of the season.

  Was he going to get treated? Was he not?

  Was he going to get healthy or the Blues going to have a
• 11:10
  miraculous run? None of that stuff really
• 11:12
  happened, but he did get healthy and he's got like 7 points in
• 11:16
  four games since coming back from injury.
• 11:18
  So they finally kind of built a good top line of Tomas Holloway
• 11:23
  and Snuggerud. And maybe they're, you know,
• 11:27
  maybe they finally realize like, oh, what if we just put all our
• 11:30
  best players on the line the other instead of trying to
• 11:32
  spread it out among. I think a lot of coaches like
• 11:34
  the idea of spreading out that top 9 because they look at teams
• 11:37
  like Dallas and Florida who do it so well.
• 11:39
  But I think if you don't have the talent for it, then you're
• 11:41
  just making your all your lines worse, right?
• 11:43
  So, yeah. So anyways, do we think Thomas
• 11:45
  is a point per game guy for the rest of the season?
• 11:48
  Yeah, I I think that's definitely in the range of
• 11:50
  outcomes. He's been a monster.

  Like you said, he's shooting, which is different than what he
• 11:54
  was doing previously this year. And also even in his career it
• 11:58
  hasn't been great. But you know, like last year he
• 12:00
  was hovering around A2. This year he's at a 1.6 even
• 12:03
  with this big stretch. So clearly he has the confidence
• 12:08
  to bring this into his game now, whether it be the better
• 12:11
  linemates or the, you know, the fact that he's fully healthy at
• 12:15
  the end of the day, the minutes combined with the fact that that
• 12:18
  this is like the production I'm seeing in both the peripherals
• 12:20
  and the points, I'm extremely encouraged.

  I wouldn't say a point per game is definitely like I.

  I think that's definitely possible.

  Yeah, yeah. So no, I fully agree.

  Here's a good question. Would you rather in a league

  that's like, let's say shallow or some more, some more of these

  guys are available? Would you rather pick up Robert

  Thomas or an awesome Kadri? I was literally gonna ask you

  That's like a perfect probably because we were just talking

  about it, if I'm being real. But it also is a really good

  one. I think that Thomas is

  deployment is a lot safer in general.

  Yes, we're confident that it's going to be Kadri on the line 1.

  So you know that that is part of it.

  But I even with the Lichenin and Landeskog injury, it's not like

  he's stapled there 100%, you know what I mean?

  So I'd say like henceforth between now and the end of the

  year, he probably gets 75 to 80% of the games there.

  And on the games he's not on line one, I have no idea what

  kind of production he's going to get.

  Also, it's a new team that's always kind of, I mean, he's

  played there so we know as the players, but for all intents and
• 13:25
  purposes, he hasn't been playing with those guys.

  He's never played a game just before.

  Yeah, right. And even.

  When he was there, he's never had the gift of playing with me

  just before there. Yeah, the privilege.

  Yeah. So I think, I think I'm gonna go

  Thomas here because the range of outcomes would like his expected

  value is just a bit higher, higher floor, lower ceiling.

  But I think the higher floor just makes it so that the

  average outcome would be better for Thomas.

  And just one little wrench in it, does the fact that Thomas
• 13:55
  has a 234 weeks, 21 to 23, whereas Colorado has like a 434,

  So those two extra games in the quarterfinals, does that change

  your answer? It it's close, it definitely it

  definitely makes it like more. Because first of all, like if

  they were to have the same amount of games, I fully agree

  And so this is literally the same thought process that I'm

  thinking. As much as I do believe in that

  being very important factor in your decision, there's a chance

  that two of those games either in the finals or in the semis

  or, you know, or three of those games spread out over those

  weeks, he's just online 3, just cause, you know, yeah.

  I mean, look, think about it. I.

  And again, like they, they, they do, I mean, they're gonna make

  the playoffs, but they still sort of need to win.

  I mean, the Western Conference and the Central in particular is

  Like they want to finish and they want to finish as high as

  possible because I think that the, the wage gap there, if you

  will, is pretty tremendous. Whereas for the East, every team

  is just good, but they'd much rather finish in first and end

  up playing, I don't know, like the Kraken, Yeah.

  One then have to play Dallas or Minnesota, Yeah.

  All this to say, if they end up feeling OK, now we're confident

  that Saint Louis has in that quarterfinals is against like

  2 games each, you know with how bad the opponent is so and a lot

  of off nights for Saint Louis. So and I think Thomas is enough

  better than Kadri and safer that that I would take him.

  But it's kind of crazy because both of these guys, we're kind

  of like job candidates throughout the season, right?

  And now like both our guys that would be super happy to have
• 16:45
  going into the playoffs. So it's just crazy.

  hot topic is 1 who's kind of like the opposite story, Tom

  Wilson. He was probably one of the best

  fantasy players last year. And then for most of the season,

  pretty much until the Olympics. And then the Olympics happened.

  He lost his mojo again, losing in the finals.

  I guess I don't know what happened.

  Maybe he's a little injured, banged up.

  Maybe it's just that the Capitals are kind of like not

  making it this year, which I called by the way.

  But anyways, um, is he cooked? Because he's been dog awful

  since returning from a from the Olympics.

  necessarily know 100% that they're not making it, that it's

  with their entries, but I think they have a big enough buffer

  that they're safe. And I think that I could see

  Columbus passing Islanders, but I don't see Washington passing

  both Columbus and Islanders. So I don't think they're making

  In that case, I like just on the Wilson front, look, I mean, it's
