- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Ever since we heard that Gleainn Maxwell was
- 0:07being moved from Tallahassee to Camp Brian, there have been
- 0:11a lot of unanswered questions surrounding what necessitated such a move,
- 0:17and not only that, but who gave the order because
- 0:21according to Pam Bondy, she had no idea. So that
- 0:26leaves us with Todd Blanche and according to him, he
- 0:31said that there were some security issues that needed to
- 0:33be addressed as far as Glenn Maxwell and her safety.
- 0:37And on its face, something like that sounds reasonable, right
- 0:41until you start looking at the numbers down in Tallahassee.
- 0:44We're not talking about a dangerous prison where people are
- 0:47getting shanked in the yard. We're talking about a low
- 0:51level security prison. And honestly, that time was too soft
- 0:54for too In my opinion, Glenn Maxwell should be in
- 0:58at least a medium security. When you wear a children
- 1:02you're engaged in a human trafficking operation, the last thing
- 1:06you deserve is leniency, especially when that leniency is unexplained.
- 1:11You mean to tell me that Glainne Maxwell deserves to
- 1:14have this sort of break and other people in the
- 1:18system don't. But we'd all be very naive to think
- 1:20that there wasn't a two tier justice system, you know,
- 1:24one system for them and another one for us. Today's
- 1:28article is from The Times and the headline glean Maxwell's
- 1:32prison is park like congressmen claims. This article was authored
- 1:38by Josie and Zor. Congressmen who visited the prison where
- 1:43Glenn Maxwell is serving her sex trafficking sentence have compared
- 1:47the facility to a community college after claims that she
- 1:50was being given special treatment. Well, we already knew, and
- 1:55if you know anything about these low level camps, you
- 1:58know that it's not hard time. Now, it's still prison, right,
- 2:02you still have to be there, and there's still a
- 2:04regimen for most people, but not Klainne Maxwell. She rules
- 2:10the roost, does whatever she wants, and nobody has any
- 2:14explanations as to why she gets all these extra privileges.
- 2:20Members of the House Representatives Oversight Committee allege that more
- 2:23than a dozen people have come forward with whistleblower complaints
- 2:27that Jeffrey Epstein's former girlfriend and accomplice receives unusual perks
- 2:31at Brian prison camp, including being able to use a
- 2:34laptop unsupervised and being given bottled water while other inmates
- 2:39drink tap water. And that might not sound like a
- 2:42big deal, right, but it is when you're in prison,
- 2:46when you're in a controlled environment for doing what Kilain
- 2:48Maxwell did not allegedly convicted by a jury of her peers.
- 2:53This shouldn't be an enjoyable time for you. You should have
- 2:55a laptop. You shouldn't have any of those necessities, especially
- 3:00if nobody else is getting them. What makes Maxwell rate?
- 3:05Why does she get this special treatment? Why does she
- 3:08show up and just take the whole entire facility over?
- 3:11On Tuesday, Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Robert Garcia
- 3:15of California, the top Democrats on the Judiciary and Oversight
- 3:19Committees who are granted a tour of the Federal Prison,
- 3:22a low security detention center in Texas where Maxwell is
- 3:26serving her twenty year term. Garcia told CNN the facility
- 3:31has fountains, trees, It was a Parklke community college setting.
- 3:35This facility is the least restrictive for a movement in
- 3:39the country. Now does that sound like a place where
- 3:41Glene Maxwell deserves to go? I mean, let's be real here,
- 3:47she should be in a regular prison, and I don't
- 3:51even mean low security like Tallahassee. I complained about that too.
- 3:54She should be in a medium level prison. She's a
- 3:59dangerous person and if she was let out of prison,
- 4:02my guess is she'd harm people again. He said that
- 4:05Tanisha Hall, the warden at Brian Prison, confirmed that Maxwell
- 4:09was the only convicted sex offender of more than six
- 4:12hundred inmates. Not a single person could actually explain why
- 4:16Maxwell was transferred there, Garcia said. Uniformly, we all came
- 4:20back with the same conclusion. This is a park White
- 4:23campus and Klaim Maxwell should not be there. Well, that's
- 4:28a fact, and I'd love for somebody to explain to
- 4:32me why she should be there, like break it down,
- 4:35give me all the details, and then show me the
- 4:38examples of other people that were in her situation who
- 4:41were treated the same way. That shouldn't be too difficult, right,
- 4:45He said. They were not granted access to Maxwell to
- 4:47question her about her detention. Well that doesn't shock me either.
- 4:51Got to protect the golden goose, right, got to make
- 4:53sure that gallainn. Maxwell is in speaking out of school.
- 4:57Raskin and Garcia said in a statement after that or
- 5:00visit that the Bureau of Prisons leadership repeatedly shut down
- 5:03our lines of questioning or could not provide basic information
- 5:06about our central concerns, including Miss Maxwell's extraordinary treatment, allegations
- 5:12of sexual assault that the facility, and retaliation against inmates
- 5:16who tried to blow the whistle. We also have serious
- 5:19concerns about the accuracy and veracity of information received by
- 5:24our investigative staff. So basically saying that the facility is
- 5:28trying to put the cabash on the investigation. And look,
- 5:32it doesn't shock me. Have you guys been paying attention
- 5:36to what we've been reading through with those depositions and
- 5:39those meetings with the OIG investigators. It's not like the
- 5:43CEOs and the people running these prisons are fucking MENSA candidates.
- 5:48In fact, a lot of them seem to be relatively stupid.
- 5:51And considering all of that, are you shocked that the
- 5:54same thing's going on over here at Camp Brian. We
- 5:57need a complete overhaul of the The American people are
- 6:04tired of seeing the Trump administration pamper a sex trafficker
- 6:07and obstruct Congress investigation into Attorney General Blanche's role and
- 6:12ensuring Miss Maxwell remains comfortable and quiet. Look, Blanche is
- 6:16directly in the middle of all of it, and it's
- 6:18crazy to me that he doesn't realize that he's being
- 6:21set up as the fall guy. When all said and done,
- 6:24what do you think Donald Trump's going to be holding
- 6:25the hot potato? We all know better than that it's
- 6:29going to be Blanche. Who was going to be Bondie,
- 6:31but now it's going to be Blanche. A Federal Bureau
- 6:36of Prisons spokesman told The Times, our standards of employee
- 6:40conduct explicitly prohibit staff from providing any preferential treatment to
- 6:45any inmate. Yeah, what about the president? What about the
- 6:50Attorney general or the deputy Attorney General? Are they allowed
- 6:53to provide whatever they want? I mean, I'm sure that
- 6:56there's some rules somewhere about quid pro quo from the
- 6:58office of the President. Right, if only we had a
- 7:01body that provided oversight. In an unprecedented move for a
- 7:05sex offender with more than ten years left of their sentence,
- 7:08Maxwell was transferred to Brian from a facility in Tallahassee
- 7:13after meeting Todd Blanche, the then deputy Attorney General who
- 7:16is now the acting Attorney General. Nothing funky there. Everything
- 7:22was just you know, legit. They followed all protocols, nobody
- 7:26stepped out of line. And there's no way that Glenn
- 7:28Maxwell was given concessions to offer up some favorable words
- 7:33towards Trump and the administration. There's no way that happened, right,
- 7:37I mean, we would never see that from the most
- 7:40transparent administration in the history of America. Her treatment by
- 7:44the Trump administration has received significant attention since it backtracked
- 7:48on a promise last July to release its full investigative
- 7:52files on Epstein. As part of the selective five star treatment.
- 7:56Garcia and Raskin alleged in a letter sent a Blanche
- 7:59in January that Maxwell sixty four, has received unsupervised laptop access,
- 8:06retained more personal and legal possessions than other inmates, and
- 8:11enjoyed access to staff only areas to watch TV alone.
- 8:14Must be nice to be Glad Maxwell running around like
- 8:17she's fucking l Choppo over here. While miss Maxwell's special
- 8:21treatment is both astonishing and unprecedented, it clearly stems from
- 8:25the very top. The congressman wrote, Well, okay, you keep
- 8:29saying this, do you have evidence of that? Let's see
- 8:32the evidence now. It seems relatively apparent that that's what's happening.
- 8:38But you're in charge of this investigation. What are you
- 8:41doing and why are we stuck in neutral? Julie Howell,
- 8:46an inmate at Brian who overlapped with Maxwell for several months,
- 8:50spoke to CNN earlier in June after her release. Howell,
- 8:54serving a sentence for a white collar crime, claimed Maxwell's
- 8:57mules and water were delivered to her. She was escorted
- 9:00by armed guards, and she was also given access to
- 9:03areas like the chapel for private visits, like private visits.
- 9:08Who's going to visit Glane Maxwell? What sort of slimy,
- 9:12smarmy son of a bitch is going to visit Glaine Maxwell.
- 9:17Other inmates say Maxwell has only had one cell mate,
- 9:21while most other prisoners have to bunk with two others.
- 9:24I'm sure somebody's getting paid, somebody's definitely getting hooked up,
- 9:30a couple bucks under the table. Whatever, you know, what,
- 9:32you know how it goes? Now? Can I prove that
- 9:35I can't? But let's not act like the CEOs aren't crooked.
- 9:40How do you think most of the contra band gets
- 9:42into these facilities? The inmates aren't going out for a
- 9:47run to the corner store and picking up a pack.
- 9:51What they're doing is paying off these guards, and then
- 9:53the guards will bring this contraband in and then the
- 9:56guards get a cut of whatever the profits are and
- 9:59on an ohs. David Marcus, Maxwell's lawyer denied in his
- 10:04statement that she was receiving preferential treatment. The rule of
- 10:07law matters most when it protects the least popular defendant.
- 10:10He said, humane treatment is in special treatment, and political
- 10:14prison tours don't move the country forward. Oh, isn't he
- 10:17just such a intelligent man? Like, what are you even
- 10:21talking about, David Marcus? Absolute buffoonery. Nobody's saying that Glainne
- 10:26Maxwell shouldn't be treated like everybody else. The problem is
- 10:30she's being treated better than everybody else. That's the problem.
- 10:35So you can try and conflate the issue, but let's
- 10:37not act like Alaine Maxwell is at some black CIA
- 10:41site being rendered Okay, that's never happened. It's never going
- 10:45to happen. And Glenn Maxwell, frankly is being treated way
- 10:49better than she should be, and that, of course is
- 10:51the heart of the problem. So let's see what Congress
- 10:55has to say. Let's see what Congress does, and most importantly,
- 10:58let's see if anybody is held accountable. All the information
- 11:04that goes with this episode can be found in the
