- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one Piece episodes eight seventy two, eight seventy three,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and eight seventy four. A desperate situation, the iron tight
- 0:25Speaker 1: entrepman of Loofy pulling back from the brink, the formidable
- 0:29Speaker 1: reinforcements Germa, and the last hope. The sun Pirates emerge
- 0:39Speaker 1: in this section. I am really, really, really enjoying myself.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Guys. This is such a fun weird I I The
- 0:53Speaker 2: only thing is that she was just about to have
- 0:56Speaker 2: that cake and then I wasn't allowed to watch any further.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Welcome to spoil Me, Welcome to the show everyone. I
- 1:21Speaker 1: am Natasha. Thank you very very much to Lena for
- 1:26Speaker 1: commissioning this episode. Lena, if you're out there, I appreciate
- 1:30Speaker 1: you very very much. So first of all, guys, I
- 1:37Speaker 1: want to apologize for how I just seem to not
- 1:40Speaker 1: remember things last time, even though I watched the episodes twice.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I don't really know what happened there, but I tried
- 1:47Speaker 1: to retain everything a little bit more effectively for this section.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I did, though, remember something that I can meaning to
- 2:01Speaker 1: bring up, and every time it happened in the episode,
- 2:04Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I gotta remember to mention this
- 2:07Speaker 1: next time, and then did I remember? No? I did not,
- 2:11Speaker 1: And that is even for all of my like, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the fight needed to end when it did, and we
- 2:18Speaker 1: you know, enough was enough, and YadA YadA. I stand
- 2:22Speaker 1: by all of that. But there was a particularly dope
- 2:25Speaker 1: thing about the fight between Lufy and Katekori, and that
- 2:30Speaker 1: was the theme for category that music is a banger.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It's this chorl like with this like electric guitar, fucking
- 2:48Speaker 1: like speed metal kind of energy to it. And I
- 2:53Speaker 1: was so into it when it first started, which was
- 2:58Speaker 1: what like fifteen episodes ago, because they're fighting for a
- 3:02Speaker 1: minute before this theme begins, and I get the feeling
- 3:05Speaker 1: that it's sort of like yeah, because he wasn't taking
- 3:08Speaker 1: it that seriously, and then once the music starts, this
- 3:12Speaker 1: is him locking in and being like, oh, okay, so
- 3:15Speaker 1: I gotta take you seriously. And when it first started
- 3:20Speaker 1: and you're just getting the hole for a split second,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh boy, I don't know about this,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and then the drums began and I changed my mind
- 3:34Speaker 1: instantly and was like, never mind, this fucking rules and
- 3:39Speaker 1: I just needed to talk about it. Before I forgot
- 3:42Speaker 1: because I can't. I actually at one point was like
- 3:46Speaker 1: with my husband in the car and said to him,
- 3:49Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, hold on, And I like went
- 3:51Speaker 1: and found it on YouTube and played it and was
- 3:54Speaker 1: just like and he was like, oh, yeah, this fucking rocks.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Actually I was like, I know, right, So yeah, it
- 4:03Speaker 1: was just a nice because there it doesn't feel like
- 4:08Speaker 1: we have gotten new music like in World in a while,
- 4:15Speaker 1: with the theme song changes all the time. But I
- 4:20Speaker 1: feel like we've been playing around with pretty much the
- 4:22Speaker 1: same overall score. And I was just surprised when it
- 4:29Speaker 1: like juked left like that because it's the first time
- 4:31Speaker 1: in a while that there's been some really new music
- 4:34Speaker 1: that was like continuous, you know. So anyway, I'm sorry.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I just had to mention that, and now we shall
- 4:43Speaker 1: get back into it. I would like to say for
- 4:48Speaker 1: the record that there is no putting in these three episodes.
- 4:55Speaker 1: This has got me worried. The way that we left
- 5:00Speaker 1: things is her. It seems leaning in to kiss Sangy.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I don't know if that's what happened. Here's the thing,
- 5:11Speaker 1: here's the thing, guys, her power all right. I feel
- 5:16Speaker 1: like it's been long enough since I saw her use
- 5:18Speaker 1: it that I've kind of lost sight of the fact
- 5:23Speaker 1: that her ability is terrifying and can easily change the
- 5:31Speaker 1: game depending on what happens. And I am sort of
- 5:37Speaker 1: wondering if like she went on tiptoe the way she did,
- 5:41Speaker 1: as if she was going to kiss him, and instead
- 5:45Speaker 1: changed the memory of him finding out that she was
- 5:53Speaker 1: like about to betray him, or I don't know, because
- 5:57Speaker 1: like the last thing that he says before she she said,
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't leave, and then she leans forward. So that's why
- 6:09Speaker 1: it seems like it's gonna be a kiss of like
- 6:11Speaker 1: I am letting you know that I actually do care
- 6:14Speaker 1: about you and trying to get you to stay, because
- 6:17Speaker 1: the last thing he had said was I guess we
- 6:21Speaker 1: are still enemies in the end, aren't we? All you
- 6:24Speaker 1: saw was some schmoe walking into an obvious trap. So
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm kind of starting to think that maybe that's what
- 6:31Speaker 1: she changed. But I'm really bummed for the record. Florian says,
- 6:37Speaker 1: but why did she take the cigarette out of his mouth?
- 6:38Speaker 1: And that's also my thought, like it maybe it's just
- 6:43Speaker 1: that she's getting close enough that the cigarette was just
- 6:45Speaker 1: gonna be in her face, but like it really does
- 6:48Speaker 1: seem like she was gonna kiss him. I want it
- 6:51Speaker 1: to be that she was gonna kiss him, like for
- 6:54Speaker 1: the record, but I just feel like it setting me
- 7:00Speaker 1: up to think that, and that must mean it didn't happen,
- 7:04Speaker 1: which is a pretty tedious way to think, but you know,
- 7:07Speaker 1: there it is. So anyway, I just really personally was
- 7:15Speaker 1: sad that she wasn't in any of these But that said,
- 7:21Speaker 1: these episodes were overall really really fun. So let us
- 7:27Speaker 1: begin with the I think one of the first things
- 7:31Speaker 1: I want to talk about is just Jerman Double six,
- 7:34Speaker 1: because I really do enjoy what's going on with them,
- 7:42Speaker 1: which is basically, what we're doing will save you. But
- 7:47Speaker 1: that's not why we're doing it. It's just a side
- 7:49Speaker 1: effect that we have no control over, and it makes
- 7:52Speaker 1: zero difference to us whether we are being helpful to
- 7:55Speaker 1: you or not, because that is of no importance. And
- 7:59Speaker 1: I always sort of enjoy this kind of thing. There
- 8:03Speaker 1: are multiple ways that you can handle that kind of plot,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and sometimes it's like all of these circumstantial things add
- 8:10Speaker 1: up to a person being like, oh, they must be
- 8:12Speaker 1: good guys, even though as a viewer you're like, no,
- 8:15Speaker 1: they're not. But here they're making no bones about actually
- 8:19Speaker 1: saying to Sanji, this has nothing to do with you.
- 8:23Speaker 1: This is purely our fucking battle here. And you know,
- 8:27Speaker 1: this makes total sense. They got fucking humiliated and almost
- 8:35Speaker 1: had their entire kingdom murdered and basic and all of
- 8:42Speaker 1: their technology like taken from them, so of course they're
- 8:47Speaker 1: going to be going very, very hard. And we have
- 8:50Speaker 1: the moment to where mont d'Or remembers the phone call
- 8:57Speaker 1: that he got saying that Germa had been taken out
- 9:01Speaker 1: and is just like, wait, then, what the fuck was that?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Who was that on the phone? Which I do enjoy
- 9:07Speaker 1: the fact that like he doesn't get an answer, he's
- 9:12Speaker 1: just like wondering and evidently doesn't ever get that mystery
- 9:16Speaker 1: solved or not anytime soon. But montdor just being like,
- 9:23Speaker 1: this can't be right. We beat them. I know we did.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And of course the voice of the guy he was
- 9:30Speaker 1: talking to is very distinct, so it you know, it
- 9:34Speaker 1: makes sense that he was so so certain. And it's
- 9:38Speaker 1: extremely fun to watch the way that Germa Doubles sit,
- 9:43Speaker 1: the way that they swoop in when they do, because
- 9:48Speaker 1: suffice to say, Loofy is in a bit of a quandary.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Him and Sanji by the time Jerma stepped sin we
- 10:01Speaker 1: have Loofy. Like at the end of the last episode,
- 10:06Speaker 1: Loofy and Branch are scooped up by Peckham's and I
- 10:16Speaker 1: sort of had it in my head that Peckhams was
- 10:18Speaker 1: going to have another way out. I really thought, you know,
- 10:23Speaker 1: that he knew of an alternate way to take Loofy
- 10:27Speaker 1: to the outside world that wouldn't And no, the thing
- 10:33Speaker 1: that he is doing is still clutch, and that is
- 10:38Speaker 1: capturing Brule and bringing her into the mirror world so
- 10:41Speaker 1: that Lufy can leave. But I really thought, okay, and
- 10:46Speaker 1: then there's an additional aspect, and that is the fact
- 10:49Speaker 1: that there will be another escape that they didn't see coming.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And no, it's just that he's able to actually get
- 10:56Speaker 1: Loofy out, which is not nothing. But I just thought
- 10:59Speaker 1: there was you know what I'm saying. So anyway, what
- 11:02Speaker 1: we find out, because like there's this reminding guys what
- 11:06Speaker 1: the name is? Oh, Seraphim's here, Hi, Seraphim, Remind me
- 11:10Speaker 1: what the name is of this state that they go into?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Soo long, Florian knew what I was about to ask
- 11:17Speaker 1: before I even finish my sentence. Look at you, Florian,
- 11:21Speaker 1: So we have this like flashback because Peckham's is talking
- 11:27Speaker 1: about how you know, it's a full moon and it's
- 11:31Speaker 1: about to go down, and I am not able to
- 11:36Speaker 1: control myself and come back from it. When I go
- 11:39Speaker 1: into this state, the only person that was ever able
- 11:43Speaker 1: to bring me out of it was Pedro. Something about
- 11:46Speaker 1: his voice would bring me back down to earth. And
- 11:52Speaker 1: so he's like going to go into this with a
- 11:55Speaker 1: full expectation that he is going to either be killed
- 12:00Speaker 1: by somebody or he is going to wear himself out
- 12:03Speaker 1: so badly that he dies. That seraphin says Peckham's, Who
- 12:09Speaker 1: is Peckham's I see only mistems. Yeah, I forgot about
- 12:12Speaker 1: that last time. That like when Lufy's like thanks Peckhams
- 12:16Speaker 1: and he's just like, what what do you mean, oh,
- 12:19Speaker 1: Peckham's And it's so funny because he's trying to be disguised,
- 12:23Speaker 1: But what I thought for a second last time was
- 12:26Speaker 1: that he was Pedro. So his disguise isn't working in
- 12:29Speaker 1: any sense. But anyway, I like Peckham's being prepared to
- 12:41Speaker 1: throw down and let himself go into this state that
- 12:43Speaker 1: he knows he isn't going to be able to come
- 12:45Speaker 1: out of is really a hell of a sacrifice, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: he's willing to do it for Pedro, who he clearly
- 12:56Speaker 1: cared about and respected a lot, and is like, Pedro
- 12:59Speaker 1: believed you, and so I am going to do this thing.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And then very unexpectedly, it turns out that Sanji has
- 13:10Speaker 1: the right kind of voice to help him get out
- 13:12Speaker 1: of it as well, which like it doesn't wind up.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I am not willing to believe that Peckhams is dead, okay,
- 13:21Speaker 1: just saying, but I will say that Peckham's had been
- 13:27Speaker 1: remembering Pedro telling him, Hey, it's okay, don't worry, It's okay,
- 13:34Speaker 1: And that is what Sonji says. And then he as
- 13:40Speaker 1: because he gets really badly injured, says that out loud
- 13:45Speaker 1: himself to who he thinks is Pedro, and you guys,
- 13:51Speaker 1: it was like genuinely sad and touching, and I was
- 13:54Speaker 1: just like, oh man, it's a what a sleeper character,
- 13:58Speaker 1: Peckhams says, you know, just a guy that he was
- 14:03Speaker 1: real weird and a little goofy and you don't expect
- 14:07Speaker 1: anything from it. And this is the way it can
- 14:10Speaker 1: be with these characters, you know, they just sort of
- 14:13Speaker 1: sneak up on you, and suddenly they're like a big
- 14:15Speaker 1: part of things, and you're like, wait, when did this happen?
- 14:20Speaker 1: So I'm trying to figure out it because like it's
- 14:25Speaker 1: now that everybody is converging into the same area, it's
- 14:28Speaker 1: a little harder to talk about everything because people had
- 14:31Speaker 1: such separate, distinct stories going on, and now things are
- 14:35Speaker 1: beginning to mush together a little bit more. We also
- 14:40Speaker 1: have what is what is the name of the fucking dude?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Guys that uh has the tongue because he is watching
- 14:49Speaker 1: Mom approach the island and he is trying to figure
- 14:53Speaker 1: out what could possibly happen with her eating this cake,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and he's going through all of the these different possibilities
- 15:02Speaker 1: Paris sparro, thank you guys, and he is like, Okay, well,
- 15:10Speaker 1: what if the poison kills her, Oh that would suck,
- 15:15Speaker 1: But like, also the rampage would be over. What if
- 15:20Speaker 1: it doesn't kill her, but it made the cake taste bad, Well,
- 15:25Speaker 1: then her rampage won't be over and she'll keep like
- 15:29Speaker 1: wreaking havoc on this island. And it's just him sort
- 15:33Speaker 1: of like weighing all of these different potential outcomes, which
- 15:37Speaker 1: I actually kind of appreciated it. Just you know, it
- 15:41Speaker 1: feels somewhat rare sometimes in one piece for there to
- 15:46Speaker 1: be a character who's like following all the logical lines
- 15:49Speaker 1: of thought. It can just feel like everybody is flying
- 15:53Speaker 1: by the seat of their pants at all times. And Mom,
- 15:58Speaker 1: by the way, like the way that she is animated,
- 16:01Speaker 1: she has lost a bunch of weight by the time
- 16:03Speaker 1: we get here, so she like is if it were
- 16:09Speaker 1: for her outfit, would seem like a completely different character
- 16:12Speaker 1: by this point, if it were for her outfit, and
- 16:14Speaker 1: the fact that you know, she's like fifty feet tall
- 16:16Speaker 1: and desperately on a rampage for cake. So this whole
- 16:23Speaker 1: thing with this cake, I am just really really interested
- 16:27Speaker 1: to see what happens when she eats it, because it
- 16:30Speaker 1: seems like there's Look, I'm just really really wanting Mom
- 16:38Speaker 1: to find out that she ate those people when she
- 16:40Speaker 1: was a kid. I just really really want her to
- 16:45Speaker 1: know that happened. And I am not. I feel like
- 16:50Speaker 1: there was a point in the chat where one of
- 16:53Speaker 1: you said something about it's never been confirmed that she
- 16:58Speaker 1: ate them, but it strongly implied, And so that leads
- 17:05Speaker 1: me to think that Mom never finds out because then
- 17:08Speaker 1: it would have to be confirmed. But the way that
- 17:15Speaker 1: episodes seemed to be triggered was she's in the throes
- 17:19Speaker 1: of this craving and then she gets what she wanted
- 17:22Speaker 1: and it sort of like causes her to totally dissociate
- 17:26Speaker 1: from reality. So the way that we're all behaving is like, Okay,
- 17:31Speaker 1: if we just get her this cake, then she'll calm down.
- 17:34Speaker 1: But I'm not entirely sure that's true. I don't know
- 17:37Speaker 1: how often they've dealt with these hunger cravings, though it's
- 17:39Speaker 1: probably they've dealt with them before and they know how
- 17:41Speaker 1: she can be.
- 17:43Speaker 2: But the.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Concern I have is like, what if Mom eats this cake.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It's so delicious, and then she just starts to pick
- 17:53Speaker 1: up fucking townsfolk and eat them. Because the thing that
- 17:58Speaker 1: comes up in these episodes as well is that the
- 18:01Speaker 1: townsfolk are fucking feeling really ripped off. They have been
- 18:08Speaker 1: giving up literal pieces of their soul in order to
- 18:12Speaker 1: live on these idyllic food islands under the protection of
- 18:17Speaker 1: an emperor, and then that very emperor is the one
- 18:21Speaker 1: running around trashing the place, so everybody understandably is really
- 18:28Speaker 1: in a place of just like, well, then what the
- 18:30Speaker 1: fuck what am I even getting out of this? Which
- 18:33Speaker 1: is a fair question, and sorry, Seraphim says. So his
- 18:39Speaker 1: name keeps up the food related theme naming, with Pero
- 18:42Speaker 1: being the Japanese on a mon apea for licking something
- 18:46Speaker 1: huh okay, and then oh she ate them? Only way
- 18:50Speaker 1: for Big Mom to have the soul fruit. But there's
- 18:52Speaker 1: a limit for how dark oda will go explicitly, Yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I guess that's what I mean is like, I know,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I know she ate them, and I'm fully confident of that.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But if it's not confirmed, like somebody doesn't actually say
- 19:09Speaker 1: it out loud, that means that it's unlikely Mom knows
- 19:16Speaker 1: that's what happened, unless it's simply not set out loud
- 19:20Speaker 1: explicitly by her either. Maybe it's that she has like
- 19:23Speaker 1: the memory and suddenly it comes back to her what
- 19:26Speaker 1: really happened. I don't know how we show her having
- 19:30Speaker 1: the memory of what really happened without it being that
- 19:33Speaker 1: dark though, without it actually showing that happening. Maybe it's
- 19:38Speaker 1: just going to be her being like, but wait, then,
- 19:41Speaker 1: how did I get her power? And putting two and
- 19:43Speaker 1: two together? But one would really think that that two
- 19:48Speaker 1: and two would have been put together by now if
- 19:50Speaker 1: it was going to happen the fact that it hasn't
- 19:53Speaker 1: occurred to her to wonder how she has this power suddenly,
- 19:57Speaker 1: or maybe it has occurred to her and she just
- 20:01Speaker 1: doesn't care. Like I'm over here thinking, once it's revealed
- 20:05Speaker 1: to Big Mom what she did, she's gonna lose her shit.
- 20:08Speaker 1: But like I what if she's actually kind of knows
- 20:14Speaker 1: and has just chosen to be like, well, you know,
- 20:19Speaker 1: shit happens. I have a power now, so that's cool.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Like ah, I don't even know she's The thing about
- 20:28Speaker 1: Mom is that she can be at the whim of
- 20:33Speaker 1: her cravings and stuff. But that doesn't make her stupid,
- 20:36Speaker 1: but she will be really obtuse, So I don't have
- 20:44Speaker 1: a great grasp of the kind of things that she
- 20:48Speaker 1: would have put together or what she wouldn't you know
- 20:51Speaker 1: what I mean. And also there was that weird guy
- 20:54Speaker 1: who was sort of managing her that would protect her
- 20:57Speaker 1: from certain thoughts. I'm sure, I don't know. I don't know,
- 21:03Speaker 1: so anyway, I just keep thinking about what happens when
- 21:09Speaker 1: she actually eats the cake, and whether or not things
- 21:12Speaker 1: actually like calm down and get better, or whether this
- 21:15Speaker 1: has some weird unexpected other effect because I said before too,
- 21:20Speaker 1: if the cake is too good and she finds out
- 21:23Speaker 1: that Sanji made it, is she gonna let Sanji leave?
- 21:26Speaker 1: And like they are well on their way by the
- 21:30Speaker 1: time this third episode ends.
- 21:32Speaker 2: So.
- 21:34Speaker 1: They are getting away. But as we saw, Big Mom
- 21:39Speaker 1: can travel over the ocean, and it's really not a
- 21:41Speaker 1: big problem for her, especially if you're not out very far.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And I don't know how far away they have to
- 21:50Speaker 1: be for her to not pursue. Never mind the fact. Sorry,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Florian's in the chest says, I love how you started with.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Let's talk about Germa first, Honestly, that's what I'm here for.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I mean, look, I did talk about Germa mostly. The
- 22:05Speaker 1: one thing I didn't talk about was like how their
- 22:07Speaker 1: attacks work. There's this the finger splitting apart with strings
- 22:12Speaker 1: between to give him a bigger grip is crazy, guys.
- 22:15Speaker 1: That particular mechanic I think is so genius and it's
- 22:20Speaker 1: really creepy looking. But but yeah, so the the the
- 22:31Speaker 1: I keep I keep getting wrapped up because I'm talking
- 22:33Speaker 1: about like how Big Mom is going to react if
- 22:36Speaker 1: she eats the cake and whether she's not gonna want
- 22:38Speaker 1: Sanchi to leave because he made it and it was
- 22:39Speaker 1: so good. Also, though, there's the the aspect because montdor
- 22:45Speaker 1: notices that the fucking pelican is.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It a pelican?
- 22:51Speaker 1: What? What's the need? What's the bird? That is the
- 22:54Speaker 1: journalist an albatross has saraph him. Okay, his name is
- 23:03Speaker 1: like Franklin or something. He's got a name that I
- 23:06Speaker 1: remember being like what Florian says big news. Morgan's okay.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So this dude is in the wind by the end
- 23:21Speaker 1: of these three and that's something that has got Mondora
- 23:29Speaker 1: really freaked out because part of this whole thing has
- 23:35Speaker 1: been we can't let anybody know that somebody got the
- 23:40Speaker 1: drop on Big mom that anything. You know, this is
- 23:45Speaker 1: a humiliating event that we have got to keep secret
- 23:50Speaker 1: and protect our reputation. And so this dude who in
- 23:55Speaker 1: the last episodes was like, oh, this is gonna be
- 23:58Speaker 1: big news and Montdora that's when he says something about like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: oh yeah, we'll have their like decapitated heads for the
- 24:04Speaker 1: front page. He's really depending on the journalists sticking around
- 24:13Speaker 1: and watching how it all unfolds to the end, which,
- 24:18Speaker 1: of course Mondeorg assumes is going to be our victory.
- 24:22Speaker 1: And so if he just waits till the end, then
- 24:26Speaker 1: there's nothing to report but another upstart who got quashed
- 24:31Speaker 1: by the Big Mom Pirates. But if he leaves now,
- 24:36Speaker 1: even if you win, the story gets out before you've won,
- 24:42Speaker 1: that somebody by basically stunted on you, and that's not
- 24:48Speaker 1: a good look. That's like, you know, I am super
- 24:52Speaker 1: curious if there's going to be any major fallout from
- 24:55Speaker 1: this word getting out other than like the fracturing of
- 24:59Speaker 1: egos in the Big Mom Pirates, because if, like potentially,
- 25:05Speaker 1: if this news gets out, folks might show up to
- 25:08Speaker 1: this area to help the straw Hats somehow it would
- 25:12Speaker 1: be too late, but they might not know that, you know.
- 25:16Speaker 1: But I think maybe it is just purely going to
- 25:19Speaker 1: be our reputation is ruined. And Montor's it's interesting, he's
- 25:25Speaker 1: like the only one. There are some competent people in
- 25:29Speaker 1: the Big Mom Pirates. They're not all losers part you know.
- 25:35Speaker 1: The reason for that being Mom had so many kids
- 25:41Speaker 1: that even if only five percent of them are competent,
- 25:45Speaker 1: that's like a pretty decent number of competent people that
- 25:47Speaker 1: you're working with. So Montdor seems like the only one
- 25:53Speaker 1: who really kind of is is keeping the big picture
- 25:56Speaker 1: in mind other than Perospero and perosp It's a big picture,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but like regarding mom specifically and what she's gonna do,
- 26:06Speaker 1: whereas montdor is thinking about the family image and reputation
- 26:10Speaker 1: on a grander scale and is the one like directing
- 26:13Speaker 1: everything surrounding that. He's like a stage manager. I feel like,
- 26:17Speaker 1: you know, Saraphim says, So Morgan's isn't just a journalist.
- 26:24Speaker 1: He straight up runs the largest worldwide newspaper company. Every
- 26:28Speaker 1: time we see a character getting a paper, it's his. Okay,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I did not know that, And Saraphim says, and she
- 26:35Speaker 1: made the competent ones, the ones running things, Yeah, exactly.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Montaur's is such a weird guy that I have grown
- 26:46Speaker 1: to actually kind of like a little bit, because there
- 26:50Speaker 1: are characters sometimes that keep making really stupid decisions and
- 26:53Speaker 1: you're just watching them being like, of course, this didn't
- 26:56Speaker 1: go how you wanted because you're stupid and you made
- 26:58Speaker 1: a stupid choice. But he is one of those where
- 27:01Speaker 1: I'm watching him fail despite making the right call a
- 27:05Speaker 1: lot of the time, and the other people around him
- 27:09Speaker 1: not being smart and or not really understanding their orders
- 27:14Speaker 1: or not having like initiative on how to handle things
- 27:17Speaker 1: if something goes left, And so I find him weirdly
- 27:22Speaker 1: like relatable in a way of just if everybody just
- 27:26Speaker 1: fucking listened to me and did the smart thing, we
- 27:29Speaker 1: would be all right. But y'all keep playing with me
- 27:33Speaker 1: and ruining things. So all right, I'm trying to make sure,
- 27:39Speaker 1: like as I'm going through this all that we get
- 27:42Speaker 1: to that I managed to talk about everything, this whole
- 27:46Speaker 1: thing with Peckham's too, and how he has recaptured Brulai
- 27:53Speaker 1: Brulaise yells for help. I feel like I've talked about
- 27:57Speaker 1: this already, but the voice actress for Brulai is kind
- 28:01Speaker 1: of odd. She has this weird tone, almost like she's
- 28:07Speaker 1: swallowing the sound, and so even when she's yelling, it's
- 28:12Speaker 1: very soft, and so she's saying like somebody help me,
- 28:18Speaker 1: Somebody help me, and it's like not projected at all.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And it's also she's got a much lower voice. It
- 28:27Speaker 1: sounds like whoever is doing the voice for her is
- 28:30Speaker 1: a smoker or imitating a smoker voice really really well.
- 28:37Speaker 1: But seeing her grabbed up again, I really thought that
- 28:41Speaker 1: people were going to be more of an asshole to
- 28:44Speaker 1: her when Peckhams comes through the mirror with her in
- 28:47Speaker 1: his arms, and they weren't so bad. They were just
- 28:51Speaker 1: sort of like, oh, she got captured again. But they
- 28:54Speaker 1: weren't just like, oh, fucking Brulai Jesus Christ again, you
- 28:58Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And when he holds a gun
- 29:04Speaker 1: to her head, so to speak, the reaction is very
- 29:10Speaker 1: much still unified, and her family is just like, no, don't.
- 29:15Speaker 1: There is something weirdly nice about this, because we have
- 29:18Speaker 1: had so many characters who work for like different pirate
- 29:24Speaker 1: captains or whatever, that don't seem to have each other's
- 29:28Speaker 1: backs at all, and something about the Big Mom Pirates.
- 29:32Speaker 1: As much as they like bicker with one another, they
- 29:36Speaker 1: are still united weirdly in a way that I find
- 29:41Speaker 1: almost touching. I'll be honest, So sorry. Florian says, I
- 29:50Speaker 1: love her so much. This arc has many characters that
- 29:52Speaker 1: sneak up on you like that. Sarah Faim says, yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 1: Branch is great. Another one who really isn't an idiot,
- 29:58Speaker 1: just constantly dealing with foes outclass her. You know, I
- 30:02Speaker 1: think you're right that she isn't an idiot, But I
- 30:05Speaker 1: will say that I haven't forgotten about Loofy calling her
- 30:09Speaker 1: branch and her yelling it's bruleet from inside her hiding place. Look,
- 30:17Speaker 1: we all have our thing, and he just managed to
- 30:19Speaker 1: push the exact right button to make her yell out.
- 30:23Speaker 1: And if somebody were trying to find me and they
- 30:27Speaker 1: yelled to the window, I would not be able to
- 30:30Speaker 1: resist to the wall. I mean, we all just we
- 30:34Speaker 1: have our buttons that people can press, you know. So anyway,
- 30:42Speaker 1: when they come through the mirror, Loofy gets attacked immediately
- 30:48Speaker 1: by a guy named Raisin, who is new. I don't
- 30:55Speaker 1: remember seeing this guy before. We may have, but I
- 30:58Speaker 1: have to be honest not impressed. Raisin. You're not bringing
- 31:02Speaker 1: much to the table here, bro. His look also is
- 31:06Speaker 1: very disappointing considering his name is Raisin. I know that
- 31:09Speaker 1: the costumes don't necessarily match the ability or name or whatever,
- 31:15Speaker 1: but uh, he's like sleek looking almost you know. It's
- 31:20Speaker 1: a very white and silver theme and it just doesn't
- 31:23Speaker 1: go anyway. So this this attack Lufy is like fucking
- 31:32Speaker 1: He is spent, and so his attack probably would have
- 31:36Speaker 1: hit a lot harder if it weren't for Sanjy being
- 31:40Speaker 1: there and just swooping in and managing to like catch
- 31:44Speaker 1: him in mid air because they go flying up into
- 31:46Speaker 1: the air and there he's using his what is the
- 31:54Speaker 1: ability called, guys where he can like walk on air?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Is that all it's called? Just walk on air? Wind
- 32:02Speaker 1: Walk says Seraphim. Okay, I like that he's escaping using
- 32:09Speaker 1: this ability, which, like I don't blame him for just
- 32:12Speaker 1: thinking that's gonna be the end of it. As it
- 32:15Speaker 1: turns out, they have got their own team of people,
- 32:19Speaker 1: and one of them says, we can use Geppo too, dummy,
- 32:24Speaker 1: which I don't remember.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Is that.
- 32:29Speaker 1: What is Geppo? This is like I can't decide if
- 32:33Speaker 1: this is even ringing a bell or not. It feels
- 32:36Speaker 1: like it kind of is. But part of me thinks
- 32:38Speaker 1: I'm just making that up, and let's see. Florian says skywalk,
- 32:46Speaker 1: Seraphim says it depends. CP nine call it Geppo slash, Windwalk,
- 32:49Speaker 1: Sanchi calls it blue walk or something. Oh okay, So
- 32:55Speaker 1: it's got a few different names. So that's why, huh,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I wonder are giving a different names, Like hockey has
- 33:02Speaker 1: just got the one name. Why don't we just call
- 33:05Speaker 1: it the one thing? It does not matter anyway, So
- 33:12Speaker 1: they are all trying to come at Soanjy in midair,
- 33:17Speaker 1: and these guys are all the ones that are wearing
- 33:19Speaker 1: these like weird, like pink and white outfits, which I
- 33:28Speaker 1: do wish, just for the sake of things, that Sanji
- 33:31Speaker 1: wasn't still wearing his white groom's outfit. I uh, it's
- 33:40Speaker 1: just a little confusing in mid air when the animation
- 33:43Speaker 1: is going by super quickly. It's not actually difficult to follow,
- 33:46Speaker 1: but you get what I'm saying. And meanwhile, we've got
- 33:55Speaker 1: Peckham's you know, going into this state. I'm sorry, I'm
- 34:02Speaker 1: going back to find it here. Uh soo long, soo long.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I really just don't seem to be able to remember
- 34:11Speaker 1: that word. I don't know why. But he goes into
- 34:15Speaker 1: this and is wild looking, like when Carrott went into
- 34:21Speaker 1: this stage, she just looked like beautiful but dangerous, you know,
- 34:31Speaker 1: she was like really pretty and scary. Peckham's it's not
- 34:37Speaker 1: pretty at all. He is his man turns into what
- 34:42Speaker 1: looks like very thick dreadlocks. I hesitate to even say
- 34:46Speaker 1: dreadlocks because they each look like they're's about as big
- 34:48Speaker 1: around as like a two liter bottle of Coca cola.
- 34:53Speaker 1: All his hair turns white. His tail also turns into
- 34:57Speaker 1: this like weird sort of texture, and he is striking
- 35:03Speaker 1: at all of these like the pink and whites in
- 35:05Speaker 1: the air, which again, because he is currently kind of
- 35:09Speaker 1: pink and white himself, is a little odd. There's a
- 35:13Speaker 1: uniformity to everybody in this series of fights that's surprising.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I is there a word for this team of enemies
- 35:24Speaker 1: that's all in the pink and white with their weird
- 35:26Speaker 1: because they all like look similar to each other, but
- 35:29Speaker 1: there'll be a tall one and a short one, and
- 35:32Speaker 1: a wide one and a skinny one, and they all
- 35:34Speaker 1: have almost what sounds like the same voice actor, but
- 35:37Speaker 1: they're distinct people. And there's a point in the previous
- 35:42Speaker 1: section where Oven is yelling at one of them and
- 35:46Speaker 1: he uses the wrong name and the guy's like, Hey,
- 35:48Speaker 1: I'm so and so why are you yelling at me?
- 35:51Speaker 1: I didn't have anything to do with this, which I
- 35:52Speaker 1: didn't think was actually kind of funny. But is there
- 35:55Speaker 1: like a word for these guys as a group, because
- 36:00Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what their deal is. They can
- 36:02Speaker 1: all walk in the air. It doesn't seem like they've
- 36:06Speaker 1: eaten devil fruits. Because this ability is something that you
- 36:09Speaker 1: can get without a devil fruit. And I don't remember
- 36:12Speaker 1: seeing them display any other ability beyond this, which is
- 36:16Speaker 1: nothing for the record, but I'm just saying the is
- 36:23Speaker 1: it decuplets or deceptlets? That is really hard to say. Wow,
- 36:31Speaker 1: Florian says, I think because he has not mastered it
- 36:35Speaker 1: like her yet, and Sarahim says, yeah, I think it's
- 36:37Speaker 1: to show how Peckham's more wild and uncontrolled and he
- 36:40Speaker 1: turns into a raging beast. That makes sense. So maybe
- 36:44Speaker 1: if he was able to like get this more in hand,
- 36:47Speaker 1: he would be prettier interesting deck deck tuplets. That's tough.
- 36:58Speaker 1: It's gotta be deck, right, the surfrum says, as in
- 37:03Speaker 1: they are ten kids from the same birth triplets, but
- 37:05Speaker 1: ten Yeah, no, I figured that. I'm just trying to
- 37:09Speaker 1: just saying it is really hard, that's all. But they
- 37:14Speaker 1: all are like ganging up on him and having no effect.
- 37:20Speaker 1: And meanwhile Sanji is in the air and is watching him,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and it's just like, this doesn't seem good. I'm worried
- 37:28Speaker 1: about him. And as he says this, beckhams turns and
- 37:31Speaker 1: spots him and punches him, which this sucks. The fact
- 37:34Speaker 1: that he is so out of control that he doesn't
- 37:36Speaker 1: even know who to fight. This is a different thing.
- 37:39Speaker 1: You know, it's one thing to be completely out of control,
- 37:44Speaker 1: but you know that you're going to let yourself do
- 37:46Speaker 1: this to help your friend. And it's another thing when
- 37:48Speaker 1: it becomes not for your friend anymore and you aren't
- 37:54Speaker 1: even aware. That sucks. I hate that. So anyway, he
- 37:59Speaker 1: takes a swipe a Sanjy and he really really The
- 38:03Speaker 1: whole screen turns red for a second in an alarming moment,
- 38:09Speaker 1: and he says, uh. Pedro is saying Peckham's you're gonna
- 38:14Speaker 1: be okay, And the camera pulls out and you see
- 38:19Speaker 1: that it is Sanji who said that to him, and
- 38:22Speaker 1: the red of his eyes slowly he begins to uh
- 38:29Speaker 1: tear up, and then the red begins to dissipate, and
- 38:35Speaker 1: blue comes back in and he is in control of
- 38:39Speaker 1: her himself, and he pokes at Sanjy and says, take
- 38:44Speaker 1: straw hat and flee no matter what happens, you have
- 38:47Speaker 1: got to get out here, and Sanji is like bet
- 38:51Speaker 1: and takes off, and then Peckhams goes down into the
- 38:55Speaker 1: midst of the crowd and he handles his business yo.
- 39:00Speaker 1: He takes a lot of hits. It's rough, and we
- 39:06Speaker 1: see the like from his POV him looking up at
- 39:09Speaker 1: the sky and the moon beginning to like separate into
- 39:15Speaker 1: multiple like his vision is blurring as he says, don't worry,
- 39:19Speaker 1: big bro, It'll be okay, don't worry, and I was
- 39:23Speaker 1: just like, that is very rude. So this is when
- 39:32Speaker 1: Sony really gets jumped. You got a lot of people
- 39:36Speaker 1: gathered here. It's bad. It's understandable that he is beginning
- 39:43Speaker 1: to feel like, oh, that's it. It's a wrap on us,
- 39:48Speaker 1: and he gets slammed to the ground. The first guy
- 39:51Speaker 1: to come after him has this weird like inflating black
- 39:55Speaker 1: weapon that I don't know what this is, but uh,
- 40:00Speaker 1: As this attack is happening and it's beginning to be like, oh, yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: he's outnumbered, we have all of Big Mom's awesome cupcake
- 40:11Speaker 1: ships getting bombed, which I was like, can we not
- 40:14Speaker 1: hurt the awesome ships please? But you know, we gotta
- 40:17Speaker 1: do what we gotta do. And it turns out German
- 40:20Speaker 1: Double six is here and they are going to fuck
- 40:24Speaker 1: up their entire day, and we have all of them
- 40:29Speaker 1: posing with these like the kind of canisters that cause
- 40:36Speaker 1: them to do the sailor moon transformation thing. I am
- 40:40Speaker 1: so sorry. I am never going to get sick of this.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It's so fun to watch. It had to be really
- 40:46Speaker 1: fun to animate too, you know, and just the drama
- 40:50Speaker 1: they could have changed into all this before they got here.
- 40:53Speaker 1: They did this because they wanted everybody to see this
- 40:56Speaker 1: rad transformation, you know. Seraphim says, The thing is, I
- 41:05Speaker 1: never really took that Assanji having the same effect as
- 41:08Speaker 1: Pedro as much as Sanji's saying. That just triggered Peckham's
- 41:12Speaker 1: memory of Pedro, and it gave him the willpower to
- 41:15Speaker 1: control himself possible. Uh, Sarahim, you never pass up the
- 41:20Speaker 1: chance for a magical girl transformation sequence. And yeah, definitely not. Oh,
- 41:25Speaker 1: when I want to like mention all this is happening,
- 41:29Speaker 1: Sanji is on point. German double Stix is showing up.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Oven is you know, talking shit as he keeps doing.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Oven is just dumb. But Uh, the thing that is
- 41:42Speaker 1: very funny to me is Lufy is just out here snoring.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Every time the camera is on Sanji. We see Lufy
- 41:49Speaker 1: in the background just passed the entire fuck out, unaware
- 41:52Speaker 1: that anything is happening, and I just find it very funny.
- 41:57Speaker 1: It's it's a different take than what we often have.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I feel like, where Loofy has to be removed from
- 42:06Speaker 1: the equation early on until later when he can fight
- 42:10Speaker 1: the bad guy, but here he fights a lot earlier
- 42:14Speaker 1: and then is out of the equation because he's passing out.
- 42:19Speaker 1: And I sort of like mixing it up a little bit.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I think this works. So I'm sorry, guys. I just
- 42:29Speaker 1: remembered like a couple of things that I had not
- 42:33Speaker 1: mentioned last time. The other one that I thought was
- 42:36Speaker 1: really funny was somebody saying, like, what if straw Hat
- 42:39Speaker 1: beats Katekori? An Oven, having just mentioned that I think
- 42:44Speaker 1: he's very stupid, Oven says to that person, don't be ridiculous.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Kategori doesn't lose. It's like his whole thing. It's just
- 42:56Speaker 1: a very funny line to just be like, the man's
- 43:00Speaker 1: whole identity is tied up in the fact that he
- 43:02Speaker 1: never loses. So obviously that cannot have happened because reality
- 43:07Speaker 1: bends to suit the way that he sees himself. If
- 43:11Speaker 1: only you know. But so, yeah, this whole thing that's upcoming,
- 43:18Speaker 1: Lufy isn't participating in this at all. It's solely Soany
- 43:24Speaker 1: and Germa, and they're up against all of these pirates
- 43:30Speaker 1: who have gathered here. The guys on the ships, it
- 43:33Speaker 1: seems like, have almost all been completely taken out of
- 43:36Speaker 1: the equation. I think we're meant to believe that they're
- 43:38Speaker 1: all dead. Not totally clear on like how many people
- 43:42Speaker 1: have survived or what, but this is the moment where
- 43:47Speaker 1: Mondor hears that, like, they're all dead. Who is that
- 43:50Speaker 1: on the phone? YadA YadA. Also, the egg Man is
- 43:54Speaker 1: here and doing his like over the top French reaction
- 43:58Speaker 1: to everything, which is just really really funny. We haven't
- 44:02Speaker 1: seen him in a minute, so after being away from
- 44:06Speaker 1: the series for a little bit, especially to go do
- 44:08Speaker 1: the live action, he hits different coming back and just
- 44:12Speaker 1: seems very very funny. So Sanji is like, you know,
- 44:22Speaker 1: managing to make his escape now that German is here
- 44:24Speaker 1: to have his back, and we've got a bunch of
- 44:28Speaker 1: people on the ground just with fucking guns and bazukas
- 44:31Speaker 1: that are aiming at him up in the air, all
- 44:35Speaker 1: stacked up on top of one another. And these guys
- 44:39Speaker 1: just really I hate them so much, these stupid little outfits,
- 44:43Speaker 1: and they fire a Bazuka that has this, uh, the
- 44:49Speaker 1: cannonballs have spikes on them that like pop out after
- 44:53Speaker 1: they've been fired, and they are tracking Sanji in such
- 44:58Speaker 1: a way that almost it's like they're heat seeking, you know.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And this is when all of his siblings get in
- 45:07Speaker 1: the way. Actually I think it's just as brothers, but
- 45:11Speaker 1: they prevent these from hitting and are just standing there
- 45:17Speaker 1: in mid air grinning down like, yeah, you really thought
- 45:21Speaker 1: And evidently everyone knew that Jermo Double six doesn't get
- 45:27Speaker 1: hurt when they're shot, that they have this like impenetrable skin,
- 45:31Speaker 1: but it seems like nobody really believed that was true.
- 45:35Speaker 1: The impression that you get as everyone's taking in the
- 45:38Speaker 1: fact that these guys are not taking damage at all
- 45:43Speaker 1: is just wait, what even though they all allegedly know
- 45:48Speaker 1: this and this is like what Mom wanted to team
- 45:51Speaker 1: up with Drmafore, it almost seems like they just thought
- 45:56Speaker 1: it was kind of an exaggeration and so getting to
- 46:01Speaker 1: actually see that, yeah, you're firing a literal bazuko, multiple
- 46:06Speaker 1: bazukas did nothing. It's really eating away at morale. Let's
- 46:12Speaker 1: just say that. So I'm oh, I'm just realizing how
- 46:19Speaker 1: much how little time I have left, and I've got
- 46:21Speaker 1: to pick the pace up here. I've talked about a lot, though,
- 46:24Speaker 1: so I feel like to a degree, I've covered a
- 46:27Speaker 1: lot of the more important things. There is the moment
- 46:32Speaker 1: where everybody finds out that Lufy actually beat Category, and
- 46:39Speaker 1: the person to deliver this news is brulat because everybody
- 46:44Speaker 1: is like, so, did Loofy do something to distract him
- 46:49Speaker 1: and then run off. That's like the assumption everybody is
- 46:53Speaker 1: making about how Loufy even got out, and the shock
- 46:59Speaker 1: at the fact that LuFe actually beat Kategori renders everybody
- 47:04Speaker 1: immobile for a few minutes, like they just stop dead
- 47:07Speaker 1: and stare except Oven. Oven is the one who recovers first,
- 47:15Speaker 1: and it's just like, there is no way that runt
- 47:19Speaker 1: broke his streak, and everybody else kind of gets shaken
- 47:22Speaker 1: out of their reverie by him yelling this, and all
- 47:27Speaker 1: of them agree it's impossible Lufy must have cheated, which
- 47:35Speaker 1: I mean, I can kind of see how you would
- 47:37Speaker 1: assume that. Look, Loufy just doesn't look like much. Let's
- 47:41Speaker 1: just be fair. He has a real reputation, sure, but
- 47:48Speaker 1: I could see how you would just be like, I
- 47:51Speaker 1: just don't buy it. Sorry, they haven't gotten to know
- 47:54Speaker 1: him real well. I think once you know him, it's
- 47:57Speaker 1: immediately obvious that like something different about this guy. But
- 48:03Speaker 1: I can't help but understand. There are times where a
- 48:07Speaker 1: person just being like I am unwilling to believe this,
- 48:10Speaker 1: and so it must be a lie or they must
- 48:12Speaker 1: have cheated. I will just be like, oh my god,
- 48:14Speaker 1: you are so annoying. This is the most illogical. But
- 48:17Speaker 1: this is one of those times where I'm like, no,
- 48:19Speaker 1: I get it. Like, he almost didn't win. He came
- 48:23Speaker 1: really close to not winning, so I mean like, and
- 48:28Speaker 1: he technically won, but it's a real technically. You know,
- 48:34Speaker 1: he got knocked out a couple times before he finally
- 48:38Speaker 1: knocked category out and kind of cory. It feels like
- 48:42Speaker 1: when he went down the last final time, it was
- 48:46Speaker 1: very much him being like voluntarily going all right, I
- 48:51Speaker 1: think we're done, you know what I mean. I'm not
- 48:54Speaker 1: trying to say he threw the fight, but it was
- 48:58Speaker 1: so close that this is a rare time where everybody
- 49:02Speaker 1: being in complete disbelief makes a little bit of sense
- 49:07Speaker 1: to me. Actually, So this results in all of them
- 49:11Speaker 1: just being like, well, we can't let this cheater escape,
- 49:15Speaker 1: which is very funny because the whole thing has already
- 49:18Speaker 1: been we need to get this guy at any cost.
- 49:23Speaker 1: But then the reveal that he beat category in a fight.
- 49:26Speaker 1: It's not even that he killed him either, Like she
- 49:29Speaker 1: doesn't say that if he had killed him, even then
- 49:32Speaker 1: I might understand this like ramping up to a new level.
- 49:36Speaker 1: But it's purely beating him and probably having cheated, as
- 49:40Speaker 1: they are assuming it gives this crowd new life. They
- 49:45Speaker 1: are in a fucking fury, foaming at the mouth coming
- 49:52Speaker 1: after them, especially oven Bro is heated. And I mean
- 49:56Speaker 1: that on every level pun intended. I will not apologize
- 49:59Speaker 1: for that one. So anyway, this is the moment, like
- 50:05Speaker 1: he's like hovering over them and he's about to lay
- 50:09Speaker 1: Sanji out, and it's guys, I just love his siblings
- 50:19Speaker 1: jumping in and saving his ass, and Soanji having these
- 50:23Speaker 1: flashbacks to how utterly they like abused and ruined his
- 50:30Speaker 1: childhood and then looking at them now and just being
- 50:33Speaker 1: like what is going on? And he is right to
- 50:37Speaker 1: wonder this, And as it turns out, like I said before,
- 50:41Speaker 1: they're very clear that this has nothing to do with him.
- 50:45Speaker 1: We're taking down the pirates, that's all this is. You
- 50:48Speaker 1: know which totally fair. I accept this. So then we
- 50:57Speaker 1: have all like this great attack from behind what is
- 51:02Speaker 1: his sister's name, with the poison ability, but she comes
- 51:07Speaker 1: up and she attacks these guys with that power, and
- 51:11Speaker 1: it is so cool looking, y'all. I'd love her whole look.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I love her power. I love the vibe of her
- 51:19Speaker 1: being like not quite as heartless yet because they hadn't
- 51:23Speaker 1: gotten the recipe right, and just being the only one
- 51:28Speaker 1: to ever look out for sanjy. I just think she's
- 51:31Speaker 1: great if I were like in a position of to
- 51:37Speaker 1: cause play her. And when I say in the position too,
- 51:39Speaker 1: I am saying I don't think that I could do
- 51:43Speaker 1: this look justice, but she is a favorite for me.
- 51:48Speaker 1: I think so far in the show, I really really
- 51:51Speaker 1: enjoy her. Sorry, Sarah Fim says, if not dead at
- 51:59Speaker 1: least too busy trying to swim to be an issue,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I miss what that was about. But and then Otis's
- 52:04Speaker 1: response in some SBS questions about the fight does imply
- 52:08Speaker 1: you are not wrong about category accepting a loss. SBS
- 52:13Speaker 1: is an author Q and a section done for the
- 52:15Speaker 1: Mango volumes. Okay cool? And then her name is raise
- 52:18Speaker 1: you okay cool? Thank you.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I just really really.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Enjoy her, and I kind of like, I don't think
- 52:27Speaker 1: she's going to be breaking away from her family understandably,
- 52:31Speaker 1: like they're a package deal at this point, but I
- 52:33Speaker 1: wouldn't mind it if she did. It'd be kind of cool,
- 52:36Speaker 1: you know, especially because she is a more combat based power,
- 52:41Speaker 1: and we all know that I want more women front
- 52:44Speaker 1: and center in the series that are fighters, So I'm
- 52:49Speaker 1: into it. So finally we have Sanji getting back to
- 52:57Speaker 1: the Sonny. He has been this whole time in contact
- 53:01Speaker 1: with them via transponder snail, just being like, you need
- 53:04Speaker 1: to get as close as you can. I'm coming to
- 53:07Speaker 1: the shore line. And I was really not expecting him
- 53:11Speaker 1: to actually reach the ship within these three episodes. I'll
- 53:13Speaker 1: be honest. I thought that, like it was going to
- 53:16Speaker 1: be a little bit. They would be blocked some other way.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Now I'm kind of thinking, Okay, they got there, but
- 53:22Speaker 1: they're going to be chased again. I don't know, we'll see.
- 53:25Speaker 1: But uh, Loofy is still asleep and is injured. So
- 53:34Speaker 1: now he got chopper and he is, uh you know,
- 53:37Speaker 1: about to do some work on Loufy as well as Sanji,
- 53:41Speaker 1: who got shot in the retreat, and Soanji insists it's
- 53:46Speaker 1: not a big deal treat Loufy first. I'm kind of
- 53:49Speaker 1: worried that it's more of a big deal than he
- 53:51Speaker 1: is letting on, but uh, we'll just have to wait
- 53:54Speaker 1: and see. Meanwhile, as they are fleeing, we've got Smoothie
- 53:59Speaker 1: still behind them, and they are beginning to get caught
- 54:03Speaker 1: up enough that the cannons are almost reaching the sunny
- 54:07Speaker 1: So it is time for us to put the pedal
- 54:10Speaker 1: to the metal, kids and really get going here. And
- 54:15Speaker 1: I think it's Broke that said something about like we
- 54:18Speaker 1: got too distracted. They managed to catch up to us,
- 54:20Speaker 1: which it's understandable. You know, Sanji is here with Lufy.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Of course she got distracted. That's what's going to happen.
- 54:26Speaker 1: This is the point where the camera goes over to
- 54:29Speaker 1: the villagers who are trying to rescue family who have
- 54:33Speaker 1: been trapped underneath like falling mortar and walls and stuff.
- 54:40Speaker 1: And the lady with the friggin big wide brim hat
- 54:46Speaker 1: what is her name? I remember knowing it at one point,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and she's all blue. She has heard this sword that
- 54:56Speaker 1: she's using to slice up the buildings to get people
- 54:59Speaker 1: out under them, and people are really grateful to her,
- 55:04Speaker 1: but they are pissed at the fact that this has
- 55:07Speaker 1: happened when they gave up part of their souls in
- 55:10Speaker 1: order to be able to live in under protection. Florian
- 55:15Speaker 1: says Almond, but in French is her name? Okay, I
- 55:19Speaker 1: don't remember how to say that. I know that I've
- 55:22Speaker 1: seen it because it's on all kinds of like skincare
- 55:26Speaker 1: and food ingredients. But that's how I know how to
- 55:30Speaker 1: say punp and moose as well. But so, okay, I'm
- 55:38Speaker 1: jumping ahead a little bit. Right, there's this bit with
- 55:40Speaker 1: Beggie guys. They lose their ship. It's on fire and
- 55:49Speaker 1: Beggie has to take a moment and just like have
- 55:52Speaker 1: a moment of silence for their ship. And look, y'all
- 55:56Speaker 1: know I didn't see eye to eye with many of
- 55:59Speaker 1: you about the Going Mary. I just I understand that
- 56:04Speaker 1: the Mary is an icon and I can respect that,
- 56:11Speaker 1: but I just didn't like it. I found it unattractive.
- 56:16Speaker 1: I found it weird when we switched over to the Sonny.
- 56:21Speaker 1: The Sonny is really bizarre looking, but at least Frankie
- 56:25Speaker 1: didn't design it to have his own face on the front,
- 56:28Speaker 1: which is what Mary did with that ship, which I
- 56:31Speaker 1: just I could never really get past that. I thought
- 56:33Speaker 1: that was just so strange. And then here I am
- 56:39Speaker 1: with what is it called Nostromo's castello something something that
- 56:44Speaker 1: means our castle I think in Italian, and it's on fire,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and I was just like, oh, and I think it's
- 56:51Speaker 1: just because I've grown to like Beggi and Chfon so
- 56:54Speaker 1: much and really begun to like see how seriously they
- 56:59Speaker 1: take family, that this being their home up in flames. Really,
- 57:06Speaker 1: I was just like, this sucks. They really sacrificed. And
- 57:10Speaker 1: basically that's what Beji says, is like this better have
- 57:12Speaker 1: all been fucking worth it, and he wants to leave
- 57:16Speaker 1: after all of this has gone down. But Chiffon is like,
- 57:24Speaker 1: we're at what is it? She says, fluff Island, which
- 57:29Speaker 1: is this is a weird one, guys. Is it meant
- 57:31Speaker 1: to be like marshmallow fluff? Because everybody is sort of
- 57:35Speaker 1: in charge of a different food. But that's not a
- 57:41Speaker 1: like it's such a This is a very specific thing
- 57:44Speaker 1: versus like chocolate, you know. Cacao Island is a general
- 57:49Speaker 1: thing in that that has a lot of applications and
- 57:53Speaker 1: can be can mean a lot of things. Fluff is
- 57:57Speaker 1: just one thing from my understanding, and it's not even
- 58:04Speaker 1: it's just this doesn't deserve its own island. I'm just
- 58:07Speaker 1: gonna say it. And her being Minister of fluff, it
- 58:10Speaker 1: literally sounds made up. It sounds like somebody knew you
- 58:14Speaker 1: wanted a job and they felt bad because you had
- 58:19Speaker 1: been left out of the roster, and they were just like,
- 58:22Speaker 1: you'll be I don't know, minister of fluff, and they
- 58:26Speaker 1: just like threw a fucking word out there, you know.
- 58:31Speaker 1: So anyway, Chiffon tells Begi, I'm minister of fluff, and
- 58:38Speaker 1: that's where we are. I am staying this is my responsibility,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and she hands the baby off to Beggie as we
- 58:47Speaker 1: see Big Mom beginning to approach and really get excited
- 58:52Speaker 1: because she has spotted the cake and it's all most
- 58:55Speaker 1: time she's about to eat it. And this is we
- 59:01Speaker 1: cut over here to the conversation between Perosparro and Montdor
- 59:11Speaker 1: and everybody trying to decide whether or not they should
- 59:14Speaker 1: even like let Mom eat this cake or what they
- 59:17Speaker 1: should do, and Chiffon is saying, I believe in the
- 59:22Speaker 1: cake he baked. I don't know who trained him, but
- 59:25Speaker 1: he is the finest I've ever seen, and I think
- 59:29Speaker 1: that this actually is going to work because the cake
- 59:32Speaker 1: is a legit masterpiece. But like I said, Mom's like
- 59:37Speaker 1: sailing through the air towards it, but we don't actually
- 59:39Speaker 1: get to see her eat it here, which killed me
- 59:42Speaker 1: a little bit. And we go back over to the
- 59:50Speaker 1: ships and the cannons firing between Germanistic six ships and
- 59:56Speaker 1: all of these like tart ships, we see oven like
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: looking down on the The whole thing is sorry, not oven.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: What is what is Sanchi's father's name? Saraphim says, it's
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: funwari in Japanese, and it's just something with no good
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: English translation. It seems to mostly be a term used
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: for puffed food like rice puffs, cream puffs, et cetera. Huh. Interesting.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: His dad is Judge, thank you. I don't know how
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: I forgot that one, but this is very funny because
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: as the straw hats are passing, Judge is looking down
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: on them and he starts yelling to Lufy, like what
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: is it that you even see in my son? And
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: he's like naming all of these things that he sees
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: as defects, like he sacrifices even when he's going to
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: die for people that can't give him any thing, and
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: just all of this shit that he thinks he's really
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: making an argument about, like why would you even want him?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: And there's this love pause, and I'm really like, how
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: is Lufy going to react to this? But Lufy just
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: yells thanks for the help, see yah, and everybody's like, dude, what,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and Judge says, you didn't answer me? And then when
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: we go back to the ship, Loufy just goes, your
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: father sure had a lot of nice things to say
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: about you at the end, didn't he. And I love
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Sancha just being like what because he just doesn't understand
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: everything that this man listed as in the cons Loofy
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: sees as the pros So for him, he was just
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: not understanding any of that conversation at all. And I
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: do really think that's great. It's very funny because like
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the ultimate thing that Judge says is like why what
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: does he have to offer? Why would you like this guy?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: But that's not the part that Loofy hears. He just
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: hears the list and the question is not penetrating because
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: there's no other way to take the question, you know.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: But it's fine because that's loofy and that's just how
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he be. So at this point, Carrot she leaps up
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: to like the crow's ness because there's something going on,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: and she says, oh my god, guys, look ahead and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: there's this huge blockade of ships and everybody is like,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: oh fuck, because they had no idea that they were
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: going to be dealing with this big affleet and the
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: fucking Genie dude reappears here. This guy sucks anyway, all
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: this to say, we have that weird little undersea crew guy.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: And I say weird little because he looks like he
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: should be little, but he is like one hundred feet tall.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: And this dude appears out of nowhere and just tosses
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: these ships around like toys and is absolutely devastating to
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Big Mom's whole scene. I mean, I don't know how
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: many ships this was, but we got almost no survivors here.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I would think, why don't sue me? Says Sarah FM.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Thank you. So yeah. This guy apparently was brought here
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: by his friends, his being sorry being Jembay's Aladdin, and
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: his weird sharp toothed wife. I don't remember her name,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: but I've been wondering what was going on with them,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: because we saw them doing the whole thing with the
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: snails before, which was like really important as it turns out,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: But then we don't see them for a while and
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, the snail thing's been accomplished. They
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: got to be up to something else, and I just
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: sort of left it. I wasn't, you know, wasting much
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: time wondering about it.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: But this was.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Delightful because it doesn't feel so much like a DAYO
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: sex not gonna as it could due to the fact
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: that they were in the wings the whole time and
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: we have been aware of that. So her name is
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: pray Lean to Saraphim. Thank you, Yeah, this is delightful.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I really really enjoyed this, like last moment of we
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: got your back, buddy. It was nice. So I got
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: a wrap. I'm over time, but thank you guys again
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: so much for coming hanging out. Thank you to Lena
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: for commissioning this one. And I'm having such a fun
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: time with this arc. Until next time to the lou motherfuckers.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: That was an unspoiled network
