- 0:00Speaker 1: Lately.
- 0:01Speaker 2: General, welcome the late debase.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Great to have your company. I'm James Macpherson with Liz
- 0:09Speaker 3: Storer and Caleb Bond. Do you remember how during the
- 0:12Speaker 3: presidential debate, Donald Trump and Joe Biden argued over who
- 0:15Speaker 3: was the better golfer. Well, it turns out Donald Trump
- 0:18Speaker 3: is very good at golf. We've got the footage to
- 0:20Speaker 3: show you. Plus, when we look at the papers, the
- 0:23Speaker 3: Albanesi government looking at a cabinet reshuffle after two ministers retire,
- 0:28Speaker 3: and new data brings bad news for the economy showing
- 0:31Speaker 3: record numbers of Australian businesses are failing.
- 0:34Speaker 4: So we'll get to all of that later.
- 0:36Speaker 3: But probably the most talked about person in the world
- 0:38Speaker 3: right now is Kamala Harris. And as Vice President, she
- 0:41Speaker 3: only had one job close the border, and as we
- 0:46Speaker 3: all know, the whole world knows, she failed on an
- 0:48Speaker 3: epic scale. She once gave a speech where she simply
- 0:52Speaker 3: told illegal immigrants do not come, after which more than
- 0:56Speaker 3: eight million illegal immigrants came. In fact, the borders are
- 1:01Speaker 3: She didn't even bother to visit the border, or at
- 1:03Speaker 3: least not until she was shamed into doing so by,
- 1:07Speaker 3: of all people, NBC News.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Do you have any plans to visit the border at
- 1:13Speaker 5: some point?
- 1:14Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:16Speaker 5: We are going to the border.
- 1:17Speaker 7: We've been to the border, So this whole, this whole
- 1:20Speaker 7: thing about the border.
- 1:22Speaker 8: We've been to the border.
- 1:23Speaker 5: We've been to the border.
- 1:24Speaker 2: You haven't been to the border, and.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I haven't been to Europe, and I don't understand the
- 1:31Speaker 5: point that you're making.
- 1:33Speaker 3: So after that train wreck of an interview, she finally
- 1:36Speaker 3: relented and went to the border that she was responsible for.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And check out what the New York Post is now
- 1:42Speaker 3: reporting happened when she went there back in June twenty
- 1:46Speaker 3: twenty one. Federal agents were instructed to clear streets of
- 1:51Speaker 3: migrants and put on a show for borders. Are Kamala
- 1:54Speaker 3: Harris's only trip to the border now in June twenty
- 1:57Speaker 3: twenty one, when she visited the New York posts. There
- 2:00Speaker 3: were twenty one and a half thousand illegal migrants that month.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But when she went there, well, the streets were bare.
- 2:07Speaker 3: There was hardly a migrant to be seen, and the
- 2:10Speaker 3: only ones that were seen, well they were very well presented.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Listen to what one of the border agents told the
- 2:16Speaker 3: New York Post and I quote they that is the
- 2:19Speaker 3: Biden administration rented out a ton of hotels and we
- 2:22Speaker 3: spent hours moving out bodies. The kids that remained, that's
- 2:26Speaker 3: the migrant kids. We had to braid their hair. They
- 2:30Speaker 3: made jokes about how the building Kamala Harris was visiting
- 2:33Speaker 3: was more secure than the whole border. She had zero
- 2:36Speaker 3: interest in really seeing anything.
- 2:38Speaker 4: The whole thing was rushed, caleber Liz.
- 2:41Speaker 3: This is an administration that we know, for four years
- 2:44Speaker 3: hid Joe Biden's dementia, and they spent four years hiding
- 2:48Speaker 3: the crisis on the border, I might add, with help
- 2:51Speaker 3: from the media, with help from local hotels. How can
- 2:54Speaker 3: the American people believe anything they're told these days?
- 2:57Speaker 9: Well, well, they didn't really have to hide what was
- 2:59Speaker 9: going on. In fact, they failed quite badly to hide
- 3:01Speaker 9: what was going on. Because anyone who lives in New
- 3:03Speaker 9: York or any other part of the US where they've
- 3:05Speaker 9: actually at a deal with all of people coming over
- 3:08Speaker 9: the border Texas, et cetera, and then being put up
- 3:10Speaker 9: in luxury hotels and whatever, they're well aware of what
- 3:13Speaker 9: was going on.
- 3:14Speaker 2: But you know, imagine trying.
- 3:15Speaker 9: To pull that swiftly. You didn't go there, then you
- 3:18Speaker 9: go there, We'll didn't move, you just out of frame
- 3:21Speaker 9: just for a minute, so it looks good.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It reminds me there.
- 3:24Speaker 9: Was a story we talked about, i think earlier in
- 3:26Speaker 9: the year out of Victoria. It's the opposite of this one,
- 3:30Speaker 9: where there was a hospital where the health Minister was
- 3:33Speaker 9: going to visit and they were really worried that if
- 3:36Speaker 9: the hospital didn't look full that they wouldn't get the
- 3:39Speaker 9: extra funding that they wanted. So the staff rung in
- 3:42Speaker 9: friends and family and whatever to come and fill up
- 3:45Speaker 9: the beds so that when the minister rocked up it
- 3:48Speaker 9: looked like the hospital was in full swing. Well, Harris
- 3:51Speaker 9: has done the exact opposite here. Just get them out
- 3:54Speaker 9: of the way. And this happens all the time anytime
- 3:57Speaker 9: foreign dignitaries come to tether Oh you know the home
- 3:59Speaker 9: was Remember Clover Moore.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Did this in Sydney, Ida five or six years ago.
- 4:04Speaker 9: She just had them moved on for a while because
- 4:07Speaker 9: there was a big event going on. And of course
- 4:09Speaker 9: after our dad matter, you can all come back now
- 4:11Speaker 9: like do they think we're that dumb? Do they really
- 4:14Speaker 9: think we're that dumb that she would go down there
- 4:16Speaker 9: and go nothing to see here?
- 4:19Speaker 2: It's all good lads, it's not.
- 4:22Speaker 5: But she knew.
- 4:23Speaker 7: I mean she's her entire administration is very much culpable.
- 4:27Speaker 7: In fact, they facilitated We've covered before the fact that
- 4:31Speaker 7: America was flying in some of these illegals. They simply
- 4:36Speaker 7: had to get on an app Most recently, I saw
- 4:39Speaker 7: China has now produced a documentary telling people how they
- 4:44Speaker 7: can make use of this open border into America.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Go on, guys run along infiltrate.
- 4:52Speaker 2: So she knew.
- 4:53Speaker 7: This was because they knew if the VP was going
- 4:56Speaker 7: there would go the media, and so they didn't want
- 5:00Speaker 7: what was happening at the border to be prolifically playing
- 5:04Speaker 7: out in the background while she's standing there going photo ops,
- 5:07Speaker 7: I'm at the border.
- 5:09Speaker 5: I promised you I'd go look at me doing my job.
- 5:12Speaker 7: So they had to make it squeaky clean for all
- 5:14Speaker 7: the media attention.
- 5:16Speaker 8: It would have suggested.
- 5:17Speaker 7: But how do you love the mainstream media in America.
- 5:23Speaker 7: I'm telling you you do not hate these guys enough.
- 5:27Speaker 7: Because of course, the Trump campaign is running very strongly
- 5:31Speaker 7: on the very glaring issue of illegal immigration, and she
- 5:36Speaker 7: as now the almost president should the Democrats win in November.
- 5:42Speaker 7: She was in charge of the border, so Now they're
- 5:45Speaker 7: trying to convince us that she wasn't the borders are.
- 5:49Speaker 7: Check out this clip comparing media in twenty twenty three
- 5:54Speaker 7: when yes, she was the borders are to media now
- 5:57Speaker 7: in twenty twenty four trying to convince every one she
- 6:00Speaker 7: was never the borders are.
- 6:01Speaker 5: What are you talking about quote unquote borders are? Vice
- 6:06Speaker 5: President Harris was not a borders are.
- 6:09Speaker 10: Being time vice president and borders are Tamala Harris facing some.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Backlash what he said about Harris and immigration was not true.
- 6:15Speaker 4: She was never appointed borders are.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And this will be her first visit to the US
- 6:20Speaker 1: Mexico Border regents, and she was appointed as the borders
- 6:23Speaker 1: are by President Biden.
- 6:24Speaker 8: People gonna have to counter the misinformation. You already hear
- 6:26Speaker 8: folks talking about the borders are. She wasn't the borders are.
- 6:29Speaker 6: President Biden tapped Kamala Harris Vice President Kamala Harris to
- 6:32Speaker 6: be the borders are.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Now, she wasn't the borders are.
- 6:36Speaker 5: That's what Republicans labeled her. What is this now? Don't
- 6:41Speaker 5: believe you're lying ears.
- 6:43Speaker 7: I mean, everyone knew that was one of the things
- 6:46Speaker 7: that she was appointed with as soon as she was
- 6:48Speaker 7: elected as VP as soon as they made it into
- 6:51Speaker 7: the White House in twenty twenty. Although you'd think for
- 6:54Speaker 7: a party that was so firm on people's correct pronouns, they.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Called the the czar. He's not a zark. Come on, guy,
- 7:02Speaker 5: get this right. But the Republicans, of.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Course, are charging on with their anti immigration campaigns, much
- 7:10Speaker 7: like Bill Eagle, he's the Missouri state senator.
- 7:13Speaker 8: Check out his campaign ad.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I'm Bill Aegel. I'm running for governor to crack down
- 7:19Speaker 1: on a legal immigration. Let's no more taxpayer handouts for illegals, period,
- 7:30Speaker 1: Nada silk, zero.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Masdinero, no mas fiestas.
- 7:37Speaker 1: We're throwing them in jail and sending them back where
- 7:39Speaker 1: they came from.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Corma.
- 7:45Speaker 5: You gotta love it.
- 7:46Speaker 7: They know the Democrats a weak spot and they're not
- 7:49Speaker 7: letting up on it.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Neither should they.
- 7:50Speaker 5: This is what the everyday American wants to see.
- 7:54Speaker 8: The Republicans go hard on.
- 7:55Speaker 7: They're absolutely sick of this invasion by design that the
- 7:59Speaker 7: Biden administration has presided over for four years now. Even
- 8:02Speaker 7: the conservative estimates are now over ten million illegal immigrants
- 8:08Speaker 7: have made it across the border.
- 8:09Speaker 3: The clip you played of mainstream American media before Biden resigned,
- 8:13Speaker 3: when Kamala was responsible for the border and now just
- 8:17Speaker 3: demonstrates most of the media treat the public like the
- 8:20Speaker 3: public don't have a memory span that is longer than
- 8:22Speaker 3: twenty four hours, and we literally can't remember what happened yesterday,
- 8:26Speaker 3: and so they can treat us as if we're completely clueless.
- 8:28Speaker 3: And of course, thanks to Elon Musk in particular and X,
- 8:32Speaker 3: that's greatly helped people's memory because it promotes all of
- 8:36Speaker 3: these things that the media tried to hide, suppress or
- 8:38Speaker 3: simply deny outright, that's.
- 8:40Speaker 9: Right, I mean, and the denial that she was the
- 8:42Speaker 9: borders are just gives more bizarre I mean, how can
- 8:45Speaker 9: you possibly say she wasn't the borders are.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And what it proves is if she.
- 8:50Speaker 9: Were to become president, god forbid. Her track record, just
- 8:56Speaker 9: like Barden's when it comes to the border over the
- 8:59Speaker 9: last three and a half years, has been terrible. Nothing
- 9:03Speaker 9: will change if there is a Harris administration. In fact,
- 9:08Speaker 9: you could argue that it is worse because her having
- 9:11Speaker 9: been put in charge of the border. Literally her one
- 9:14Speaker 9: job as vice president was to do something about the border,
- 9:17Speaker 9: and she did literally nothing. In fact, try to hide
- 9:21Speaker 9: what was happening at the border, So you couldn't have
- 9:23Speaker 9: any confidence whatsoever that anything would change if she were president.
- 9:28Speaker 9: In fact, it would probably get worse, I imagine.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We should add the fact that the media were lying
- 9:33Speaker 3: so blatantly about her role just demonstrates how much of
- 9:37Speaker 3: a weak point that is for her.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Yes, correct, And also it is so reassuring to see
- 9:42Speaker 7: focus groups like these.
- 9:44Speaker 8: This one happened in Wisconsin, where they've just.
- 9:47Speaker 7: Gathered everyday people asking them what do you think of
- 9:50Speaker 7: Kamala Harris. This just goes to show that the mainstream
- 9:54Speaker 7: media propaganda now around this woman, where she's just the
- 9:58Speaker 7: best thing since lifespread, is simply not working because the
- 10:02Speaker 7: everyday American goes, hang on a minute.
- 10:04Speaker 5: You guys are the same people who lied.
- 10:06Speaker 7: To us for years about Biden's true health issues, and
- 10:12Speaker 7: now you're the same people who are trying to convince
- 10:14Speaker 7: us that this woman, who Trump has called ad nauseum
- 10:17Speaker 7: dumb as a rock, is the best.
- 10:19Speaker 8: Thing since slid spread. We're not buying.
- 10:23Speaker 2: She doesn't even know what's going on at the border, okay.
- 10:26Speaker 7: And that's what she was supposed to be doing doing
- 10:30Speaker 7: And then charge.
- 10:31Speaker 6: On and She's not the first woman to run for
- 10:34Speaker 6: the presidency Hillary Clinton. I'm assuming no one voted for
- 10:38Speaker 6: Hillary Clinton in twenty sixteen, so it's not necessarily going
- 10:41Speaker 6: to sway you to vote for a woman in office.
- 10:45Speaker 8: When do you think.
- 10:46Speaker 6: America will have a female president when.
- 10:50Speaker 8: There's a competent one.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Just I don't get a good feel for her.
- 10:54Speaker 4: I think she's an idiot.
- 10:57Speaker 7: That laugh, Lady there really summed it up such a
- 11:00Speaker 7: succinct synopsis right there.
- 11:02Speaker 8: Yeah, very I think she's on the IDIA.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Very insightful. Indeed, sorry, you're about to say something.
- 11:07Speaker 9: No, well, I'll bet it doesn't matter. I was actually
- 11:10Speaker 9: going to throw to that grab.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Liz did it for me.
- 11:12Speaker 9: So you know we're a team here on the Lake debate.
- 11:15Speaker 9: We can literally read each other's minds.
- 11:17Speaker 2: That's how in tune we are with each other. That
- 11:20Speaker 2: was MESNBC. By the way you put that to her,
- 11:24Speaker 2: it's like, WHOA, what a shot.
- 11:26Speaker 9: But of course, what is going to catch up with
- 11:28Speaker 9: Kamala is her record, and the border is one of
- 11:32Speaker 9: those things you can go all the way back into
- 11:34Speaker 9: her past and talk about when she was a prosecutor
- 11:37Speaker 9: and attorney general and whatever, and we talked about this
- 11:40Speaker 9: the other night, all the people she locked up for
- 11:42Speaker 9: mina drag offenses and then admitted that she committed mina
- 11:45Speaker 9: drag offenses herself. You know, Kamala the cop is what
- 11:49Speaker 9: she was referred to back in the day. And then
- 11:52Speaker 9: you can get into her record as a senator.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Now, of course she has been described. Well, we'll let
- 11:58Speaker 2: her tell you.
- 11:59Speaker 9: She's been described as the most liberal senator that there
- 12:03Speaker 9: was in the United States. The person who described her
- 12:06Speaker 9: is that may not surprise you, but when she was
- 12:08Speaker 9: asked about this, you are the most liberal senator.
- 12:11Speaker 2: She almost squirmed at the idea.
- 12:14Speaker 9: Didn't know how to respond because of course this stuff,
- 12:17Speaker 9: if you're trying to go to an election against Donald
- 12:19Speaker 9: Trump probably ain't going to work.
- 12:22Speaker 8: You're considered the most liberal United States senator.
- 12:27Speaker 6: Somebody said that in it actually was Mike Pence on
- 12:30Speaker 6: the debate stage.
- 12:31Speaker 7: But yeah, well, actually that nine partisan Gov track has.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Rated you as the most liberal senator.
- 12:39Speaker 8: You supported the Green New Deal, you supported Medicare for all.
- 12:43Speaker 9: I mean, she looks like a deer in the headlights there.
- 12:46Speaker 9: Oh no, don't tell me about my voting record. People
- 12:48Speaker 9: might actually pay attention to what I've done. I mean,
- 12:51Speaker 9: this woman is not just a centrist sort of lefty.
- 12:56Speaker 2: She's a proper leftist there.
- 12:59Speaker 9: And I think Michael Kroger was talking about on PML.
- 13:02Speaker 9: You know, you thought Bernie Sanders was bad, wait until
- 13:05Speaker 9: you see Kamala Harris. And that's the danger. It's very
- 13:09Speaker 9: clear in the way she's treated the border that she
- 13:12Speaker 9: will bring with her a suite of very left wing policies,
- 13:17Speaker 9: most of which she will keep hidden in the lead
- 13:20Speaker 9: up to the election, because of course you don't want
- 13:22Speaker 9: to go too hard. But with someone as radical as
- 13:24Speaker 9: her there, who is a DEI higher She's only there
- 13:28Speaker 9: because she's black, not even African American, but you know,
- 13:32Speaker 9: has dark skin, a woman of color as she has
- 13:35Speaker 9: described herself, and a woman.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And once she gets to the job, what's she going
- 13:39Speaker 2: to do? I don't know. She doesn't want to tell us.
- 13:41Speaker 3: And this is what the Trump campaign have got to
- 13:43Speaker 3: focus on. They can't go around calling her a DEI candidate.
- 13:46Speaker 4: They can't keep bringing.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Up her cackle or telling us all she's dumb is
- 13:50Speaker 3: a rock because we all know that. But really where
- 13:52Speaker 3: they can destroy her is on her record. His Pennsylvania
- 13:56Speaker 3: senator he's a Democrat, Bob Casey in Dorset, Kamala and
- 14:01Speaker 3: someone has taken his endorsement and demonstrated why it is
- 14:04Speaker 3: absolutely ridiculous.
- 14:05Speaker 4: And look at this. Kamala Harris is inspiring and very capable.
- 14:10Speaker 8: The more people get to know her, they're going to
- 14:12Speaker 8: be particularly impressed by her ability. I am prepared to
- 14:15Speaker 8: get rid of the filibuster to.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Pass agree the deal. There's no question I'm in favor
- 14:19Speaker 5: of banning thrat.
- 14:20Speaker 8: Would you be an offshore early yes?
- 14:22Speaker 5: What is the solution for voters in the fossil fuel industry.
- 14:26Speaker 8: Giving the workers an ability to transition. We're not going
- 14:28Speaker 8: to treat people who are undocumented cross the borders criminals.
- 14:31Speaker 5: That's great.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Raise your head if you think it should be a civil.
- 14:34Speaker 9: Effects rather than a crime across a border without documentation.
- 14:39Speaker 10: Abolish I sam that a position you agree with, and
- 14:42Speaker 10: we need to probably think about starting from scratch.
- 14:46Speaker 4: She's absolutely inspiring.
- 14:48Speaker 3: If you like open borders, you like fentanyl being trafficked
- 14:52Speaker 3: into the country, you like socialism, She's very inspiring.
- 14:55Speaker 4: And that's what they've got to keep doing.
- 14:57Speaker 7: And well, if the DEM's love all those things, so
- 15:00Speaker 7: even within her own party, there's really not going to
- 15:03Speaker 7: be much pushback. As we've seen over the last four years,
- 15:06Speaker 7: the Dems do not object to this. It's the Republicans
- 15:09Speaker 7: who've been screaming their lungs out, particularly over immigration. But
- 15:13Speaker 7: you just saw her say that, or ban drilling or
- 15:15Speaker 7: ban fracking. What is left once again, much like our
- 15:22Speaker 7: won't say radical left, but our lefty government. You're just like,
- 15:26Speaker 7: you're crucifying our prosperity.
- 15:28Speaker 5: What are you doing.
- 15:29Speaker 7: We are sitting on all these resources and now you're
- 15:32Speaker 7: telling us we can't use them for the sake of
- 15:35Speaker 7: the planet. That is exactly what the Democrats have been doing.
- 15:39Speaker 7: And that's exactly what everyone knows because she's been very
- 15:43Speaker 7: upfront about it for four years while she's been in
- 15:46Speaker 7: the limelight as VP, they know exactly what to expect
- 15:50Speaker 7: should she make it to the White House.
- 15:52Speaker 2: God forbid.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Well, Joe Biden announced officially that he will not be
- 15:56Speaker 3: in the White House next term. And this appearance was
- 16:00Speaker 3: posted to answer all the questions about why he's standing
- 16:03Speaker 3: aside and what's really going on. And he spoke for
- 16:06Speaker 3: what fourteen minutes and really didn't give any reason at all.
- 16:09Speaker 3: In fact, he boasted about what a great job he's
- 16:12Speaker 3: been doing, which left open the question, well, why.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Don't you keep doing it?
- 16:16Speaker 3: But of course you didn't need to listen to his
- 16:19Speaker 3: words to know the truth about why he's dropping out.
- 16:21Speaker 4: You just had to look at him.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Have a look at the bizarre way in which his
- 16:25Speaker 3: addressed to the American people began.
- 16:35Speaker 11: My follow Americans, I'm speaking from behind the resolute tesk
- 16:40Speaker 11: in the Oval office.
- 16:44Speaker 3: My fellow late debaters, it was alone a long pause there.
- 16:49Speaker 8: I think, what the heck was that about this?
- 16:52Speaker 7: Because it wasn't even live, as I mean, the internet
- 16:56Speaker 7: wins the day again. They paid attention to the time
- 17:00Speaker 7: on the watch he's wearing, and they were like.
- 17:03Speaker 5: This wasn't even alive, So why wouldn't you just cut
- 17:06Speaker 5: that bit out?
- 17:07Speaker 9: Well, actually no, it's quite possible because, of course, remember
- 17:09Speaker 9: he said recently that he wasn't going to do events
- 17:12Speaker 9: after eight pm, and his age was saying that he
- 17:15Speaker 9: was only really of any use between ten am and
- 17:17Speaker 9: four pm. They probably wound his watch back so that
- 17:20Speaker 9: he looked at it. I'm still in working hours. I
- 17:23Speaker 9: can actually I can actually stand up.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I want to come to his defense on the watch thing,
- 17:27Speaker 3: because my watch. You know, it's powered by it's no battery,
- 17:30Speaker 3: it's powered by I don't know, your body energy or whatever.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but occasionally, if I don't wear it for a while,
- 17:35Speaker 4: I put it back on and it's totally stopped, and
- 17:37Speaker 4: I don't really.
- 17:41Speaker 9: So Biden is wearing an automatic watch. And if he
- 17:45Speaker 9: is wearing an automatic watch, then that's actually one thing
- 17:47Speaker 9: I'll give to him, not wearing a court's watch. That
- 17:49Speaker 9: I'm wearing a courts watch. But if he's wearing an
- 17:51Speaker 9: automatic watch, I bet he's actually a point in his favor.
- 17:55Speaker 2: But watching that thing, and just look at the man's.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Face, right, this is weak at Bernie's Now, if you
- 18:02Speaker 9: weren't already convinced that he couldn't run again, you've got
- 18:06Speaker 9: to be after watching that speech today, the way that
- 18:09Speaker 9: they've done him up, and we know that they did
- 18:11Speaker 9: the fake tan on him after the debate because he's
- 18:15Speaker 9: just so sickly there. I mean, they've gone beyond fake
- 18:17Speaker 9: tan now, they've gone beyond Donald Trump makeup.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Does the crypt keeper neck?
- 18:23Speaker 3: You know the actor I think it's James Wood said
- 18:25Speaker 3: this online today. He said it was like looking at
- 18:27Speaker 3: an open casket.
- 18:28Speaker 2: It was it was actually I feel really sorry for
- 18:31Speaker 2: the guy.
- 18:32Speaker 7: So you guys coming around to my mask, that.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Was no mask that you're watching last night.
- 18:41Speaker 8: You know what I'm talking. I'm just hearing you guys.
- 18:45Speaker 2: That was a mask.
- 18:46Speaker 9: Then they did a very poor that was and whoever
- 18:49Speaker 9: did the job, if that was a mask, just got
- 18:52Speaker 9: Biden down packed.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It's the worst we've ever seen him up. But of
- 18:55Speaker 2: course this was a pre prepared speech. It was scripted.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He had a prompter, the whole thing.
- 19:02Speaker 9: And he couldn't even get through that, a possibly pre
- 19:05Speaker 9: recorded speech.
- 19:06Speaker 2: He could not even get through that without stumbling.
- 19:11Speaker 11: American's gonna have to choose between moving forward or backward,
- 19:16Speaker 11: between hope and heat, between unity and division. We have
- 19:22Speaker 11: to decide do we still believe in honesty, decency, respect, freedom, justice,
- 19:28Speaker 11: and democracy? In this moment we can see those we
- 19:33Speaker 11: disagree with, not as enemies, but as fellow Americans.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Can we do that?
- 19:41Speaker 2: I mean, God help us all.
- 19:43Speaker 9: And I was having a discussion with a friend of
- 19:45Speaker 9: mine this afternoon and he said, watching that, I'm actually
- 19:49Speaker 9: worried about his ability to complete his term as president.
- 19:56Speaker 9: If that's what he's like today, we're expecting him now
- 19:59Speaker 9: to through until January next year. That's what he's like today.
- 20:04Speaker 9: I'm not convinced that he won't be dead before then.
- 20:07Speaker 9: And then we'll actually have Kamala as president before she's
- 20:10Speaker 9: been elected.
- 20:11Speaker 3: And do you think if you're a Trump supporter, the
- 20:13Speaker 3: last thing you would want is for Kamala to get
- 20:16Speaker 3: into the Oval office prior to.
- 20:18Speaker 4: The election before about that?
- 20:19Speaker 3: Would it not lend her some gravitas that she otherwise
- 20:22Speaker 3: would not have.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I think no, exactly. I think that's the thing that.
- 20:27Speaker 9: Could count against her is that if she actually has
- 20:30Speaker 9: to stand up and do the job between now and
- 20:32Speaker 9: the election in November, that people will actually be able
- 20:35Speaker 9: to see what she would be like as president, and
- 20:37Speaker 9: that may well scare people off. I mean, if I
- 20:39Speaker 9: were Donald Trump, I'd be hoping that Joe Biden dropped
- 20:42Speaker 9: dead tomorrow so that Kamala could go in there, because
- 20:44Speaker 9: if it's a total disaster, then that's her candidacy completely shot, right,
- 20:48Speaker 9: or her chances of being elected re elected at that
- 20:51Speaker 9: point president completely shot?
- 20:53Speaker 11: Right? Yeah?
- 20:54Speaker 4: Fair enough.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Well, we're talking the other day about Kamala Harris's campaign launch,
- 20:59Speaker 3: and interestingly, she had Joe Biden phone in and speak
- 21:04Speaker 3: with her and Kamala Harris herself stumbled when they're asking
- 21:08Speaker 3: if Joe was on the record, and then she corrected
- 21:10Speaker 3: herself not recording call, which then of course opened up
- 21:13Speaker 3: all sorts of questions as to was it live, was
- 21:16Speaker 3: it pre recorded?
- 21:18Speaker 4: Was it even Joe Biden?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Well, on the Joe Rogan Show, they had a couple
- 21:22Speaker 3: of computer nerds do some analysis using AI of the
- 21:26Speaker 3: voice on that call, and well, have a look at
- 21:30Speaker 3: their conclusion.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Let's just go on all the Leaven labs and see
- 21:35Speaker 1: if that's really all they probably used for this.
- 21:39Speaker 11: So lude.
- 21:44Speaker 4: I love it.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Nerds cannot be stopped.
- 21:49Speaker 8: Very likely.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Probability ninety eight percent.
- 21:52Speaker 4: They didn't really try, so they reckon listen, I know
- 21:56Speaker 4: you will love this. They reckon.
- 21:57Speaker 3: It was a ninety eight percent probability that the voice
- 21:59Speaker 3: on a Paul purporting to be Joe Biden was actually
- 22:03Speaker 3: an AI Joe Biden.
- 22:05Speaker 7: Indeed, indeed, so it was a Freudian slip when she said, Joe,
- 22:09Speaker 7: we know you're still on the record.
- 22:11Speaker 8: Are you still on the line there?
- 22:13Speaker 5: Joe, No, he wasn't. He wasn't on the line.
- 22:16Speaker 8: And I love that.
- 22:17Speaker 7: Joe Rogan, he's the most listened to most watch podcast
- 22:21Speaker 7: in the world, by the way, millions upon millions of followers.
- 22:25Speaker 7: So he took it upon himself to just be like, why, well,
- 22:28Speaker 7: they're having conspiracy theories when I can just get some
- 22:30Speaker 7: AI geates, some of the best in the business to
- 22:33Speaker 7: test this out and the results speak.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Through if that's true. If it's true, and I'm not convinced,
- 22:39Speaker 4: but if it's true.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I'm sure you know better than the high tech.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I'm just saying there was a two percent chance it wasn't.
- 22:44Speaker 3: According to Joe Rogan, I'm going with a two percent
- 22:47Speaker 3: because I want to keep my faith in government.
- 22:50Speaker 2: If that you.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Got faith in government, I'll get off.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Well, let me make my point.
- 22:56Speaker 3: If it's true that it was AI and pre recorded,
- 22:59Speaker 3: that means Mamala Harris would have had to rehearse that
- 23:02Speaker 3: entire thing practice interaction.
- 23:04Speaker 7: No, no, you don't understand how this works.
- 23:06Speaker 8: As I said, I've got an app on my phone.
- 23:09Speaker 7: All I need is a voice grab from you and
- 23:12Speaker 7: then I can speak using your voice.
- 23:14Speaker 5: I'm not typing it in to say AI.
- 23:17Speaker 7: You can do it that way as well, but it
- 23:19Speaker 7: is a very easy way to make it work.
- 23:22Speaker 4: So it could have been speaking on the crack pipe.
- 23:27Speaker 9: It could have been anyone that would That would explain
- 23:30Speaker 9: why he said that he could actually see what was
- 23:32Speaker 9: going on at the thing even though he was on
- 23:34Speaker 9: the phone, Because if it was Hunter and he was
- 23:36Speaker 9: smoking the crack pipe, maybe it was he was having
- 23:38Speaker 9: visions of what was going on. And because we know
- 23:41Speaker 9: that Biden has refused to have a meeting with Benjamin Yaho,
- 23:45Speaker 9: the Israeli Prime minister who is currently in the US,
- 23:48Speaker 9: and he rocked up today at the Capitol to give
- 23:51Speaker 9: a speech and the carry on outside, and we've kind
- 23:56Speaker 9: of left this alone for a little while that the
- 23:58Speaker 9: protests have ey down for the most part in Australia,
- 24:02Speaker 9: but they ramped right up again, these pro Palestinian protests
- 24:06Speaker 9: in the US today. And if you thought what you'd
- 24:09Speaker 9: seen up to this point was pretty bad, this was
- 24:13Speaker 9: even worse. Here they are burning the US flag. And
- 24:31Speaker 9: then this woman was asked if she supports her mass. Now, look,
- 24:34Speaker 9: it's probably pretty self explanatory when you take a look
- 24:37Speaker 9: at her. She really didn't need to ask the question,
- 24:39Speaker 9: but she tried not to answer it anyway.
- 24:43Speaker 2: What messes you.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Want as soon to do I don't have a message
- 24:45Speaker 7: for you.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Free Palestine, that's it.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Are you supporting?
- 24:51Speaker 5: Your answer? Now, I support the resistance.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Apologies, I'm assuming that's a woman. But you don't know
- 24:57Speaker 2: what's going on under all that clobber, do you.
- 24:59Speaker 9: And then of course they were up on a monument
- 25:01Speaker 9: spraying Hamas on it, just to really prove the point
- 25:04Speaker 9: they were trying driving home.
- 25:06Speaker 12: Sorry, like you.
- 25:17Speaker 9: Couldn't make it any more obvious. We're just here supporting terrorists.
- 25:22Speaker 2: And I seriously ask.
- 25:23Speaker 9: The question, why can people like that, even if they
- 25:27Speaker 9: are a citizen of the United States, not be punted
- 25:30Speaker 9: out of the country. If you're standing there literally writing
- 25:34Speaker 9: hamas the name of a terrorist organization on a monument,
- 25:38Speaker 9: thereby voicing your support for a terrorist organization, are you
- 25:42Speaker 9: not a terrorist sympathizer who shouldn't be allowed in a
- 25:46Speaker 9: Western nation.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Well, that footage where they're burning the American flag, you
- 25:49Speaker 3: couldn't hear it on that clip, but if you listen
- 25:52Speaker 3: to the whole thing, you can hear the chance of
- 25:54Speaker 3: Allah Akba in the background as well.
- 25:56Speaker 4: And you think, well, where are the police.
- 25:57Speaker 3: It turns out there were police present, not nearly enough.
- 26:01Speaker 4: But check out how the police were treated by these protesters.
- 26:16Speaker 7: What you're doing.
- 26:19Speaker 3: So, as you can see there, the police are trying
- 26:22Speaker 3: to do something, though greatly outnumbered. Imagine though, if those
- 26:26Speaker 3: Hermus supporters had been say Trump supporters, going.
- 26:29Speaker 4: For a walk through the capital, it would.
- 26:32Speaker 7: Have been insurrection all over again January sixth. It would
- 26:35Speaker 7: have made the front lines. But this is truly disturbing
- 26:40Speaker 7: because I believe any government worth a grain of salt
- 26:45Speaker 7: would be this is the country's capital. These protesters bust
- 26:50Speaker 7: themselves in.
- 26:51Speaker 8: I don't know who's funding this. Somebody look into that, please.
- 26:54Speaker 7: Bust themselves in from all over the country to make
- 26:58Speaker 7: a huge demonstration. Now, I don't doubt that some of
- 27:02Speaker 7: them there don't support Hamas and would have been just
- 27:05Speaker 7: as horrified as we are as to what it turned
- 27:08Speaker 7: out to be. I mean, these guys scrawling all over
- 27:11Speaker 7: some of the most sacred monuments in America, much less
- 27:15Speaker 7: their capital, carrying on like pork chops, violence against the police,
- 27:19Speaker 7: chanting aluakba. The Liberty Bell was completely graffiti. I visited
- 27:26Speaker 7: that bell myself and it's unrecognizable.
- 27:28Speaker 5: There wasn't a smallest liver of it.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Left, and we wanted to show it tonight, but we
- 27:33Speaker 3: couldn't because of the obscenities.
- 27:35Speaker 4: It just wasn't right to show it on team.
- 27:36Speaker 7: We would have had to blur out the entire footage,
- 27:39Speaker 7: so it wasn't worth showing you.
- 27:40Speaker 5: But these guys went to town.
- 27:43Speaker 7: Now, I don't doubt that some of the protesters thought
- 27:46Speaker 7: that they were just rocking up to an everyday protest,
- 27:49Speaker 7: protesting the war, protesting the bloodshed, and obviously, much like
- 27:54Speaker 7: January sixth, actually there were the agitators there who were
- 27:58Speaker 7: there to cause trouble, who there to do the worst,
- 28:01Speaker 7: who were there to take the flag down and burn
- 28:03Speaker 7: it in front of everyone and dance around joyously. It's
- 28:07Speaker 7: frightening when we see these demonstrations, and much like our
- 28:11Speaker 7: government here.
- 28:12Speaker 8: We do not see a strong response whatsoever.
- 28:15Speaker 3: And the other point they proved, and Benjamin Netanya, who
- 28:18Speaker 3: made this point in his speech to US politicians, is
- 28:22Speaker 3: that the war in Gaza is not simply with Israel,
- 28:25Speaker 3: it's with America and the free world, as well as
- 28:28Speaker 3: demonstrated by the fact that they're graffitiing American monuments, they're
- 28:32Speaker 3: burning the American flag. I mean, they couldn't have made
- 28:35Speaker 3: Netanyahu's point for him better than they actually did well.
- 28:39Speaker 8: He dedicated the first half of his speech.
- 28:41Speaker 7: He went for about an hour, dedicated the first half
- 28:45Speaker 7: of his speech to slamming these protesters, including the academics
- 28:50Speaker 7: that were called before congressional hearings.
- 28:53Speaker 8: Most of them ended up losing their jobs.
- 28:55Speaker 7: I must say I thought it was a waste of
- 28:56Speaker 7: half of a speech, really, because firstly, the right to
- 29:02Speaker 7: protest is just as much protected there, if.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Not more than here.
- 29:05Speaker 7: And I found it very strange that a visiting dignitary
- 29:09Speaker 7: from another country, who's who's visiting the most powerful nation
- 29:13Speaker 7: on earth, took it upon themselves to slam Americans while
- 29:18Speaker 7: asking for more support, which is of course taxpayer dollars.
- 29:23Speaker 7: I did find that remarkable, and I think what a
- 29:25Speaker 7: lot of people wanted to hear was some sort of
- 29:27Speaker 7: there is an end in sight, and he covered off
- 29:30Speaker 7: on a.
- 29:30Speaker 8: Bit of that talking about Rapha.
- 29:32Speaker 7: We killed over twelve hundred terrorists, twenty four civilians as well, tragically,
- 29:39Speaker 7: but over twelve hundred terrorists.
- 29:41Speaker 8: We're doing our best here, but.
- 29:43Speaker 7: There didn't really seem to be any end in sight,
- 29:47Speaker 7: and that's what these protesters, and indeed the world at
- 29:49Speaker 7: large wants.
- 29:50Speaker 8: To hear when is this going to end?
- 29:54Speaker 7: And the terms that he laid out in his speech
- 29:56Speaker 7: for an end to this war just don't seem REALI whatsoever.
- 30:01Speaker 7: So I think anyone who's waiting for this to end
- 30:05Speaker 7: would have been very disheartened today.
- 30:06Speaker 3: And deed, I thought he controlled himself very well, bearing
- 30:10Speaker 3: in mind Biden wasn't there, Harris wasn't there, Pelosi wasn't there,
- 30:16Speaker 3: He didn't get an official welcome when he arrived in
- 30:18Speaker 3: the United States. I thought he was treated very badly
- 30:20Speaker 3: by the Biden administration. And I take your point that
- 30:23Speaker 3: he slammed the protesters, but he was quite specific addressing
- 30:27Speaker 3: the fact that they were chanting from the river to
- 30:29Speaker 3: the sea, and he addressed the fact that that is
- 30:31Speaker 3: historically and geographically inaccurate. He did slam the academics, but
- 30:36Speaker 3: he himself is a graduate of MIT and of Harvard,
- 30:39Speaker 3: so he has history with these institutions, and these institutions
- 30:44Speaker 3: have labeled Israel a racist state, a genocidal state, and
- 30:49Speaker 3: so yes, he was addressing the behavior of some in America.
- 30:52Speaker 3: But these are worldwide tropes that he took the opportunity
- 30:55Speaker 3: to address. And he did end by saying the vast
- 30:59Speaker 3: majority of America are supporting Israel, and he's very grateful
- 31:02Speaker 3: for their help. But I thought he was restrained. And
- 31:05Speaker 3: when you see what it was restrained.
- 31:07Speaker 5: At all, it was.
- 31:10Speaker 7: Joined, applaud, listen, And I was like, okay, made just
- 31:16Speaker 7: in the country just because he wasn't welcomed by certain dignitaries,
- 31:21Speaker 7: that doesn't give you an excuse to then get up
- 31:24Speaker 7: in Congress. And kind of to me, it came across
- 31:29Speaker 7: as if he was berating, and you do not do
- 31:32Speaker 7: that when you were given the honor.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Of standing ovation from most of the people's presence. They
- 31:36Speaker 3: cluly fil rated several.
- 31:39Speaker 8: But he was in the presence of friends.
- 31:41Speaker 7: Obviously half the Democratic Party didn't.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Even knock up to the speech exactly.
- 31:44Speaker 7: So another reason why I did not understand why.
- 31:49Speaker 8: The tone of his speech.
- 31:51Speaker 7: When he knew that he was preaching to the choir,
- 31:53Speaker 7: you were you're well, he.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Was preaching to a domestic audience as well back at home.
- 31:57Speaker 5: He doubt very much that they were watching.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I'm sure they would have.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Been our long speech from the man that they've already
- 32:04Speaker 7: outright made clear to everyone that they're not fans.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Think if your country is under existential threats, very existence,
- 32:11Speaker 3: and your national leader is speaking in Congress that people
- 32:16Speaker 3: back in Israel wouldn't be watching and listening.
- 32:18Speaker 5: To what Israel.
- 32:19Speaker 8: Yes, but you forget.
- 32:20Speaker 5: He is wildly unpopular in Israel.
- 32:23Speaker 4: But that's why I like him.
- 32:24Speaker 8: In the minute they go.
- 32:25Speaker 5: To the polls, he'll go. And that was before the war.
- 32:28Speaker 2: That's during the war.
- 32:30Speaker 8: He is a dead man walking.
- 32:32Speaker 7: Perhaps that's why he's just like oh burn every bridge
- 32:35Speaker 7: on the way out. He himself in June disbanded his
- 32:38Speaker 7: own war cabinet. I mean, things are not good at home,
- 32:42Speaker 7: So don't talk about him.
- 32:44Speaker 8: Like he's adored at home. The Israeli he's adored.
- 32:47Speaker 3: He just said that the domestic audience wouldn't have cared.
- 32:50Speaker 3: And I'm just saying people in Israel.
- 32:51Speaker 7: No, I wasn't talking about the domestic audience. I'm talking
- 32:54Speaker 7: about the audience that he was speaking to, which is
- 32:56Speaker 7: first and foremost of people in Congress.
- 33:00Speaker 5: That is your first audience.
- 33:01Speaker 7: And so to spend the first half hour kind of
- 33:04Speaker 7: with this berating tone, I found it very jarring, especially
- 33:08Speaker 7: when the whole point of your visit is to solidify
- 33:12Speaker 7: your allyship and ask.
- 33:13Speaker 8: For more support.
- 33:15Speaker 3: I think when your country is under existential threat, you're
- 33:17Speaker 3: not that worried about being polite.
- 33:19Speaker 11: Or perhaps.
- 33:21Speaker 7: When he does these fund raising rounds, he doesn't speak
- 33:25Speaker 7: to world leaders like that.
- 33:26Speaker 2: He's very he's very Consially.
- 33:29Speaker 9: I agree with you both to some extent that I
- 33:31Speaker 9: thought that the discussion about the protests is sort of
- 33:35Speaker 9: so six months ago, and this is a war that
- 33:38Speaker 9: has dragged on for a long time now.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Zero help.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Back the entire Sure sure, sure SHOT's dragged on because
- 33:49Speaker 3: the world has not given Israel permission to do what
- 33:52Speaker 3: needs to be done, get rid of her mask.
- 33:54Speaker 9: But the problem is that in order to get rid
- 33:57Speaker 9: of harmas you essentially have to go in and carpet
- 33:59Speaker 9: on the joint. Well that's that's that's the only way
- 34:01Speaker 9: you get rid of her mass.
- 34:02Speaker 3: I'll be to be perfect protecting. Then you do what
- 34:06Speaker 3: you do to protect your sie hives. Look from those
- 34:09Speaker 3: who come across the border, rape, burn, behead and kill.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I'm on record what we.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Like I've tragically taken. On October seven, Israel have already
- 34:18Speaker 7: claimed forty lives to each one life.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Israel and not the villains. Her mus are the villains
- 34:23Speaker 4: talk to her mass.
- 34:24Speaker 8: We understand that, But how long? How long can you
- 34:28Speaker 8: how long.
- 34:29Speaker 7: Can people who do hold life sacred keep saying that, keep.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Saying that, because, like I said, the measures.
- 34:38Speaker 7: That Netanya who set out in this speech, he said,
- 34:40Speaker 7: we will we will not end on anything but total victory.
- 34:44Speaker 7: And total victory looks like civilian leadership in Gaza? Who
- 34:48Speaker 7: is an anti Israel?
- 34:50Speaker 8: Where are you going to find them in Gaza? Right now?
- 34:53Speaker 4: After you have got to go all the way.
- 34:56Speaker 7: But the other one is all the way though after
- 34:59Speaker 7: Gaza As we've got forty thousand people dead in Gaza,
- 35:02Speaker 7: what is all the way?
- 35:04Speaker 5: You're going to kill everyone who supports a mass? That's
- 35:07Speaker 5: all of them?
- 35:07Speaker 3: Are you not playing into the strategy of her mass
- 35:10Speaker 3: where the Hamas wants.
- 35:11Speaker 7: I'm not playing, No, I'm simply looking at There is no.
- 35:15Speaker 4: End date Tomas their strategies.
- 35:17Speaker 3: They want civilian casualties because then eventually the world will say,
- 35:22Speaker 3: you know what, we supported Israel in October seven. But
- 35:25Speaker 3: there's been so many casualties, many of them pushed forward
- 35:28Speaker 3: by Hamas so that they create outrage and eventually, if
- 35:31Speaker 3: one tires of the war and says, eye Israel, come on, stop,
- 35:34Speaker 3: just that's enough. You've done enough. And Israel fall short
- 35:37Speaker 3: of their goal, which is to secure the border and
- 35:40Speaker 3: secure the safety of their own citizens, which is the
- 35:42Speaker 3: right of every sovereign country.
- 35:44Speaker 2: They're never going to totally.
- 35:45Speaker 9: The problem is that you're never going to totally do
- 35:47Speaker 9: that unless you wipe out everyone in Gaza who supports mass.
- 35:51Speaker 2: So I'm not I don't disagree with that point. So
- 35:55Speaker 2: you do mac.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Everyone who supports her mass.
- 35:58Speaker 5: That is all gardens. That is the entire But that's
- 36:01Speaker 5: the only answer. And because that's the way they were raised.
- 36:04Speaker 7: If you were born two would back come us.
- 36:08Speaker 4: What's the alternative to secure the They have.
- 36:10Speaker 8: Lived side by side for a very.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Very Israel continually have bombs, lobbed over missiles, They.
- 36:16Speaker 7: Continually fire back, They continually.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Five and they've finally said enough, We're not going to
- 36:21Speaker 3: put up with this. We're going to eliminate this problem
- 36:23Speaker 3: once and before. A sovereign democratic nat has to be
- 36:27Speaker 3: right to self defense.
- 36:28Speaker 8: There has to be an end insight.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Easy to say that you're in Sydney where we've got
- 36:32Speaker 3: no dramas.
- 36:33Speaker 7: No, it's easy to say that in Sydney when you've
- 36:35Speaker 7: never been to the West bank.
- 36:37Speaker 8: You've never actually you have to.
- 36:41Speaker 7: I think it is very difficult for anyone with a
- 36:43Speaker 7: beating heart right now to just say yes, I am
- 36:46Speaker 7: okay for this to continue indefinitely.
- 36:49Speaker 3: We're going to keep arguing about this during the commercial break,
- 36:52Speaker 3: but stick around after the break we'll take a look
- 36:53Speaker 3: at what the papers are saying.
- 37:00Speaker 4: I'm sorry for laughing.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Just as we're coming back from the break, these two
- 37:03Speaker 3: are saying rude things to me, trying to get a reaction.
- 37:06Speaker 3: We are now going to look at what's making news
- 37:08Speaker 3: in tomorrow's papers.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Are going to do it sensibly. Caleb, you've got the asage.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Ah, you're seeing how the sausage is made. Let's go
- 37:14Speaker 2: to the strategy.
- 37:16Speaker 9: It's been real Thursday Thursday for us as our last
- 37:19Speaker 9: night of the week, so it's like Fridays. Sometimes they
- 37:22Speaker 9: get a bit silly. Let's go to the OS where
- 37:24Speaker 9: it says PM's reset.
- 37:26Speaker 2: We'll see a reset. It is on Sunday.
- 37:28Speaker 9: Push to get Home Affairs in order. Anthony Albanize has
- 37:32Speaker 9: urged being urged sorry to use his first ministerial reshuffle
- 37:35Speaker 9: to sharpened Labour's policy cut through in Indigenous affairs, housing
- 37:39Speaker 9: and immigration, while swapping out under pressure ministers Andrew Garles
- 37:43Speaker 9: and Clara O'Neill.
- 37:44Speaker 2: From their current jobs.
- 37:45Speaker 9: If he does not do that on Sunday, then God
- 37:50Speaker 9: help this man, God help this country. If nothing changes,
- 37:56Speaker 9: I might well have an aneurysm. How would it be
- 37:59Speaker 9: possible to leave Andrew Giles in situ after how badly?
- 38:04Speaker 9: And there's another story about all this inded YQ stuff
- 38:06Speaker 9: we'll get to in a minute. But if he's still
- 38:08Speaker 9: there on Monday morning, I don't know it is going
- 38:10Speaker 9: to pack up, move to No.
- 38:11Speaker 5: He's still there now. So if he's still there now.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Then he could well be there on Monday.
- 38:17Speaker 7: Ninetee to still be there Monday because the worst of
- 38:20Speaker 7: it has passed. It's like, well, if you survive that, mate,
- 38:23Speaker 7: you're not going to be moved on for any reason.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Apparently there's drones monitoring every movement by Andrew Giles. In
- 38:29Speaker 3: the article, this is my favorite part of this article,
- 38:31Speaker 3: right it says Anthony Alberanezi boasted about how long his
- 38:35Speaker 3: cabinet and ministerial lineup had lasted. No government in living
- 38:39Speaker 3: memory has had a more stable cabinet and instrual positions
- 38:43Speaker 3: for its first two years in office Albanze. He said, well,
- 38:46Speaker 3: it's only remained stable because he has, as you've pointed out,
- 38:48Speaker 3: allowed hopelessly incompetent ministers to remain in their job. The
- 38:53Speaker 3: stability is testament either to Albanese's cowardice or his own
- 38:57Speaker 3: incompetences commitment.
- 39:00Speaker 9: I think the use of stability here is a bit overstated,
- 39:03Speaker 9: because of course by leaving those ministers in place, you
- 39:06Speaker 9: created instability, particularly for the government, Like, how can you
- 39:10Speaker 9: possibly look at that and go, we did a good job, boys,
- 39:13Speaker 9: Like they've done a terrible job, and he's backed them
- 39:16Speaker 9: in the whole way.
- 39:17Speaker 2: By the way, Linda Bernie to buddy, Oh she's she
- 39:21Speaker 2: got up and she cried and carried off.
- 39:25Speaker 9: I believe you're leaving politics because you're a failure, Miss Bernie.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I mean, she had one job. Better put these back
- 39:33Speaker 2: on so I could see the camera. She had one job.
- 39:37Speaker 9: As Indigenous Affairs Minister along with the Prime Minister, and
- 39:40Speaker 9: that was to get the.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Voice over the line.
- 39:43Speaker 9: She's absolutely failed in that, like turned it from sixty forty.
- 39:49Speaker 6: Line.
- 39:50Speaker 7: The neighboring headline literally reads Bernie proud of voicemail?
- 39:54Speaker 2: How how what is it proud of?
- 39:57Speaker 9: In there and she's not done anything else in the
- 40:00Speaker 9: with Indigenous Affairs to improve the lives of a single
- 40:03Speaker 9: Indigenous person in this country.
- 40:04Speaker 7: I was surprised to find out that she had resigned
- 40:07Speaker 7: because I thought she already had heard of you since
- 40:12Speaker 7: the Voice campaign.
- 40:13Speaker 4: I think, can I.
- 40:16Speaker 7: Just point out mac has drawn a go tee on.
- 40:21Speaker 5: Can you?
- 40:23Speaker 7: No?
- 40:24Speaker 4: I don't think it's appropriate to show that I think glasses.
- 40:27Speaker 3: I think Linda Bernie would say that her achievement was
- 40:31Speaker 3: being the first Indigenous woman to achieve certain positions, and
- 40:35Speaker 3: so it was an achievement of symbolism, which the Left
- 40:38Speaker 3: are very fond.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Groucho Mart's eyebrows, these.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Are really wow. James James loves to doodle in the
- 40:45Speaker 2: ad breaks.
- 40:46Speaker 9: But I would say her greatest achievements as Indigenous Affairs
- 40:50Speaker 9: Minister was much like Giles, just surviving.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Until the reshuffle came along.
- 40:56Speaker 9: It's for another story on the front of the oars tomorrow,
- 40:58Speaker 9: one that mister Giles will be reading with great interest.
- 41:01Speaker 9: M Zidyq cases sent to High Court. The Albanezy government
- 41:05Speaker 9: is seeking to avert another wave of dangerous non citizens
- 41:08Speaker 9: using the landmark enzi Wyq ruling to be released into
- 41:11Speaker 9: the community by elevating the cases of too foreign criminals
- 41:15Speaker 9: to the High Court, with a constitutional law expert saying
- 41:18Speaker 9: the gamble would backfire if the government's case failed, because
- 41:22Speaker 9: of course, once it's to started in the High Court,
- 41:24Speaker 9: if the government fails, the precedent is set across every
- 41:27Speaker 9: other court across the country.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I mean, you're totally stuffed. I understand why they're trying
- 41:32Speaker 2: to do it, but it is a big gamble.
- 41:34Speaker 4: How could it possibly fail.
- 41:35Speaker 3: You've got Mark Dreyfus, you've got Andrew Giles, and you've
- 41:38Speaker 3: got clar O'Neill on the case.
- 41:43Speaker 5: How could it possibly fail? Just like the last one
- 41:46Speaker 5: did where.
- 41:46Speaker 8: They were like, oh are we fine at the High Court?
- 41:48Speaker 8: We don't even have a plan B.
- 41:50Speaker 7: And then it wasn't fine at the High Court and
- 41:53Speaker 7: all those guys got released and started reoffending.
- 41:56Speaker 2: That's right.
- 41:57Speaker 9: And remember this emergency legislation that is coming through that
- 42:00Speaker 9: they can redetain the worst.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Of how many of them have been redetained? Duck egg.
- 42:06Speaker 9: As far as I know, they certainly haven't crowed about
- 42:08Speaker 9: it if they've done any of it. Another story on
- 42:10Speaker 9: the front of the Odds Tomorrow Business failure record more
- 42:14Speaker 9: to come. Business failures surge to a record high in
- 42:18Speaker 9: the past financial year. Is Deteriorating economic conditions, combined with
- 42:22Speaker 9: rising operating expenses, forced many companies to close for good
- 42:26Speaker 9: amid the threat of a rate hike when the Reserve
- 42:28Speaker 9: Bank meets next month. And this is the biggest problem
- 42:33Speaker 9: for the federal government if and when they go to
- 42:36Speaker 9: an election. And I was talking to someone the other
- 42:40Speaker 9: day in Parliament who was saying their belief is that
- 42:43Speaker 9: will go to an election in September, so that there
- 42:47Speaker 9: would be potentially one rate rise.
- 42:50Speaker 2: In the offering if it happens in August. The best case.
- 42:52Speaker 9: Scenario would be that you avoid a rate rise in August,
- 42:55Speaker 9: then you call an election, and that may well scare
- 42:58Speaker 9: the RBA out of making a rate rise happen in
- 43:01Speaker 9: September because they don't want to be seen to be
- 43:03Speaker 9: interfering in the election. The worst case scenario is that
- 43:06Speaker 9: you have a rate rise in August, you have a
- 43:08Speaker 9: rate rise in September, then you wait until May next year,
- 43:12Speaker 9: everyone's interest.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Rates continue to go up.
- 43:15Speaker 9: I mean, this is the one thing that could potentially
- 43:18Speaker 9: get a coalition government elected.
- 43:20Speaker 2: And that's a tall order. Come on, it's the one
- 43:23Speaker 2: thing that could potentially do it.
- 43:25Speaker 9: Businesses failing at record rates, interest rates go up twice again.
- 43:30Speaker 9: The government doesn't have anything else to sell. They've done
- 43:33Speaker 9: pretty much nothing in this term of government that they
- 43:35Speaker 9: can say was big policy. Their one big policy, the
- 43:38Speaker 9: Voice failed. All they can say is well, we delivered
- 43:41Speaker 9: you interest rate rises and record business failures.
- 43:43Speaker 2: That's going to go.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Can you imagine if they took the country to an
- 43:46Speaker 3: election in September. You've got the NRL finals, the AFL finals.
- 43:50Speaker 3: The last thing anyone wants is to have to go
- 43:53Speaker 3: to polling booths on a Saturday when you've got football finals.
- 43:56Speaker 4: That's a worse than the government con.
- 43:57Speaker 7: I'm convinced after standing on a few polling booths myself.
- 44:01Speaker 7: But I'm convins that most Australians vote because they don't
- 44:05Speaker 7: want to get fined, So maybe maybe they'll be more
- 44:08Speaker 7: amenable to that if it means missing the game.
- 44:11Speaker 5: They're just like old cop it on the nose.
- 44:12Speaker 3: It's only twenty dollars, isn't it.
- 44:15Speaker 5: No, I've always voted.
- 44:17Speaker 4: It costs you more money in country. Do you know
- 44:19Speaker 4: because a friend.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Of mine it costs you more it costs you more
- 44:22Speaker 3: money in fuel and tolls in Sydney to get to
- 44:25Speaker 3: the polling booth and then just pay the fine for
- 44:26Speaker 3: not voting.
- 44:27Speaker 2: I know someone.
- 44:28Speaker 9: I'm not going to tell you who because those baggers
- 44:30Speaker 9: at the AEC are probably watching.
- 44:32Speaker 4: I know someone point at me when you're telling this story.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I know someone.
- 44:36Speaker 9: No it's not James McPherson, but the at Ocean probably
- 44:40Speaker 9: look into him. And I know someone who isn't enrolled
- 44:42Speaker 9: to vote, hasn't been enrolled to vote for most of
- 44:45Speaker 9: his life. He's in his fifties and they've never found him.
- 44:49Speaker 9: They've never found him, so he doesn't vote, doesn't copy fine.
- 44:52Speaker 9: I don't know how they haven't worked out that he
- 44:54Speaker 9: doesn't vote.
- 44:54Speaker 2: But he doesn't vote. There you go, there's the hack.
- 44:56Speaker 4: But he's voted in American elections.
- 45:01Speaker 7: In fact, last American election he voted ten times. Vote
- 45:04Speaker 7: early voters, you have run page to the Daily Telegraph,
- 45:08Speaker 7: Now run metro around the clock.
- 45:11Speaker 8: A plea from business all night long.
- 45:14Speaker 7: Desperate bar and restaurant honors are demanding the New South
- 45:18Speaker 7: Wales government cash in on the new twenty one point
- 45:20Speaker 7: six billion metro under Sydney by running services twenty four
- 45:24Speaker 7: hours a day to revolutionize the city's ailing night life. Yeah,
- 45:30Speaker 7: but would that work to actually get people into the CBD,
- 45:34Speaker 7: especially now that they're out of practice venturing into the CBD,
- 45:38Speaker 7: if they are going for drinks, if they are going
- 45:40Speaker 7: to have a late one with mates.
- 45:42Speaker 8: I just don't know that the metro is going to
- 45:44Speaker 8: be all that bigger incentive.
- 45:45Speaker 2: What's what's to lose.
- 45:46Speaker 8: In doing it?
- 45:47Speaker 13: Though?
- 45:47Speaker 2: Because they don't have drivers on them, they're automatically.
- 45:50Speaker 3: You've still got to pay for staff on platforms, you're
- 45:52Speaker 3: still going to pay for security. And the other problem
- 45:54Speaker 3: is they've got to find some time to do maintenance
- 45:56Speaker 3: on these things. So if you're running twenty four to
- 45:58Speaker 3: seven when you do make and they're always doing track work.
- 46:02Speaker 7: It wouldn't do any harm to have to go probation
- 46:05Speaker 7: period where they're like, well, we'll just see how many
- 46:07Speaker 7: people are actually using the twenty four hour service before
- 46:10Speaker 7: we decide to make it permanent or not.
- 46:12Speaker 3: All right, we're going to go to a break when
- 46:14Speaker 3: we come back. Donald Trump, how good at golf is he? Well,
- 46:17Speaker 3: he's actually surprisingly good. We'll show you in a second.
- 46:23Speaker 4: Welcome back. Well, one of the great regrets I think
- 46:25Speaker 4: we'll all have.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Due to Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential races,
- 46:28Speaker 3: We'll never get to see that golf tournament between Donald
- 46:31Speaker 3: Trump and Joe Biden.
- 46:33Speaker 4: I'll tell you who would win.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Trump on a heartbeat, he played a round with professional
- 46:38Speaker 3: golfer Bryson champion Shambo Chambo? Is that how I say
- 46:43Speaker 3: his name to Chambia. Have a look at how good
- 46:45Speaker 3: Trump is. He's got an awkward swing, but the result
- 46:48Speaker 3: is pretty good.
- 46:52Speaker 4: I mean, look at that.
- 46:53Speaker 2: That's a perfect I've never was fifty yards further.
- 46:58Speaker 8: Well, that's really hit.
- 47:01Speaker 11: It may be left.
- 47:02Speaker 2: You hit that grade right.
- 47:03Speaker 13: I just pulled it well, said away the water, beautiful,
- 47:08Speaker 13: sit down, beautiful shot.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Nice by the way, partner, this.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Is a little closer. I'll let you call it, but.
- 47:16Speaker 4: I know that that's going to break like I can
- 47:18Speaker 4: control that. I know how to do like I like you.
- 47:21Speaker 4: This would be a solo birdie if you make this
- 47:22Speaker 4: right here.
- 47:22Speaker 8: I want to see one out here.
- 47:24Speaker 2: This would be a very nice birdy.
- 47:25Speaker 4: Yes, it would be.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Go in, go in.
- 47:34Speaker 4: Let's go solo birdie.
- 47:37Speaker 3: And aside from playing a great round of golf, don't
- 47:39Speaker 3: Trump just seems like good fun. Listen to the conversation
- 47:42Speaker 3: they have in the golf cut talking about the maple trees.
- 47:46Speaker 13: See, they just see the trees in there. They grow naturally,
- 47:49Speaker 13: they grow naturally. You can take them, put them out here.
- 47:52Speaker 13: You have the nicest trees in the country. That's a
- 47:54Speaker 13: maple right there. I love it, just gross, you know why.
- 47:57Speaker 13: It's very vibrant part of the world.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Calvin Lisa can that would be a nice, enjoyable Saturday
- 48:03Speaker 3: morning round of golf with him.
- 48:05Speaker 8: Who wouldn't want to play around with Trump?
- 48:07Speaker 7: I find it very interesting because back in twenty sixteen, twenty.
- 48:11Speaker 8: And sixteen, Trump was never seen on a golf course.
- 48:13Speaker 8: He was always suited up.
- 48:14Speaker 10: He was all about projecting that I'm about business, I'm
- 48:17Speaker 10: about business, I'm on the job. But because of the
- 48:20Speaker 10: way that culture has changed over the last eight years,
- 48:23Speaker 10: people love to see these glimpses into your personal life
- 48:26Speaker 10: and what.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Song you're playing in the golf cart.
- 48:29Speaker 8: And that kind of thing.
- 48:30Speaker 7: So his campaign is running with this and sharing these
- 48:33Speaker 7: kinds of clips of his life.
- 48:34Speaker 8: I think it's great.
- 48:35Speaker 9: I know, And there's actually there is another clip, so
- 48:37Speaker 9: he gets a birdie in that one and Bryson de Shamba,
- 48:40Speaker 9: by the way, invited both Trump and Biden to play
- 48:44Speaker 9: a round of golf with him after that gauntlet was
- 48:46Speaker 9: put down at the debate. I think Biden has just
- 48:49Speaker 9: sort of magically let the invitation go missing.
- 48:52Speaker 2: In the mail somewhere.
- 48:53Speaker 9: He spends more time working out how to put his
- 48:55Speaker 9: underpants on in the morning than being able to swing
- 48:58Speaker 9: at golf club.
- 48:59Speaker 2: But in that he got a birdie. There's another clip.
- 49:01Speaker 9: Trump scored an eagle, and I mean, for a man
- 49:04Speaker 9: with a swing like that, it's a pretty unorthodox swing.
- 49:07Speaker 2: He does a damn good job, he certainly does.
- 49:09Speaker 3: That's it from us. Enjoy your weekend stick around. It's
- 49:12Speaker 3: Red the Penney Show coming up in just a moment.
