- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: your presences, presents, and I already had too much stuff.
- 0:35Speaker 2: So how do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gift. I'm Richard Wineker. We're
- 0:54Speaker 3: here in the studio. We've been here for quite a while, actually,
- 0:57Speaker 3: because there was some there was some microphone issues that
- 1:00Speaker 3: we were dealing with that made me feel like I
- 1:01Speaker 3: was announcing a monster truck show. But what's happening. I
- 1:06Speaker 3: came by the studio to get my baby Bell cheese,
- 1:09Speaker 3: and I figured, why not just do an episode while
- 1:11Speaker 3: I'm here having a baby Bell cheese? Are people eating these?
- 1:16Speaker 3: I think this is one of God's most perfect creations,
- 1:18Speaker 3: maybe his only perfect creation, the baby Bell cheese. And
- 1:21Speaker 3: if you don't have those in your fridge, you're making
- 1:23Speaker 3: a huge mistake. They're just there for a snack, and
- 1:26Speaker 3: it's a craft. I love these things. But you know,
- 1:30Speaker 3: I've used up a ton of our guest time just
- 1:33Speaker 3: figuring out technical issues. So I think we should get
- 1:35Speaker 3: into the podcast. And I adore today's guests already everybody
- 1:40Speaker 3: loves them. It's Jordan Myrick and Kendall Landrath. Kendall, Jordan,
- 1:46Speaker 3: no gifts.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Thanks, were so excited.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I'm so excited to have you here and to have
- 1:50Speaker 3: just kept you here off podcasts.
- 1:53Speaker 2: But you know it's sad.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Is that that's what we want, Like we're so excited
- 1:58Speaker 4: to get out of the.
- 1:59Speaker 2: House to connect too. We love to connect with to connect.
- 2:02Speaker 4: It's like when you were like so sorry about the
- 2:04Speaker 4: technical difficulties, I was like, I'm having the time of
- 2:07Speaker 4: my life.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna come earlier.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I wish we were here longer, and I wish there
- 2:10Speaker 4: could be technical difficulties after Also on.
- 2:13Speaker 2: The lap the baby belt cheese thing. Oh do you
- 2:17Speaker 2: like laughing cow?
- 2:18Speaker 3: I've never had. Oh the lapping cow is a little square,
- 2:21Speaker 3: the little triangle, yeah, little pyramid. Oh I like those things.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I put that on a tortilla, spread it around, fold it. Oh,
- 2:29Speaker 2: it's good. You wouldn't believe the kind of things happening
- 2:34Speaker 2: in our house when she gets in the kitchen.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Well kind of tortillas are you using?
- 2:37Speaker 2: You want to fib like hard valance? I see it is, I.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Mean truly but now, I mean that sounds better. I'm
- 2:46Speaker 3: very particular about tortillas and it's a big it's a
- 2:50Speaker 3: bigger issue, and we could get into it if you
- 2:52Speaker 3: want to. But uh, store about tortillas are almost always horrible,
- 2:57Speaker 3: just like regular flower tortillas at the store are bad.
- 2:59Speaker 3: It tastes like or garbage. So this whole week thing
- 3:02Speaker 3: seems like like at least has a texture that's on purpose.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, there's something intentional there. I also think getting
- 3:10Speaker 4: older is just kind of forgetting what tastes good, you know.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Or I'm like, I'll be like, oh, you gotta try this,
- 3:15Speaker 4: It's really good, and someone's like, oh, is it really good?
- 3:17Speaker 4: And I am always.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Like, well no.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I also think you know what I mean. Yes, I
- 3:23Speaker 2: also think there are times when you're like trying to
- 3:25Speaker 2: have something really good, and then there are times when
- 3:28Speaker 2: you're trying to just get by. And I think that
- 3:31Speaker 2: we now buy these fiber tortillas just together just to
- 3:34Speaker 2: get by. But I know what a good tortilla tastes like,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and when I want that, I'll have that.
- 3:38Speaker 3: You know, you can't have a good tortilla at home
- 3:40Speaker 3: because you'll just be gobbling them up.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Absolutely I have to go to the hospital and.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And they're all you would have to be hospitalized.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I would die.
- 3:47Speaker 3: It's also hard to have a good tortilla at home
- 3:48Speaker 3: because they need to be made within the hour. Yeah,
- 3:51Speaker 3: I would say, so you're not gonna have that in
- 3:53Speaker 3: the fridge. It's an impossible thing to have at home.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Have you tried making them at home before? Yes, it's
- 3:58Speaker 3: more difficult than you would expect.
- 4:00Speaker 2: A flower tortilla, Well, flowers much harder than corn, but
- 4:03Speaker 2: even corn, it's like, you know, you see a woman
- 4:07Speaker 2: at a restaurant making them in some kind of window,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and she's just making them with the effortlessness that I've
- 4:12Speaker 2: never had in my magician in relation to anything. Yes,
- 4:15Speaker 2: and you're trying to make them at home, and it's
- 4:16Speaker 2: not like that. They're always too thick, even if you
- 4:18Speaker 2: have a tortilla press.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yes, and with a flower, you can't use the.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Tortilla press because it's too small.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Well, and it'll stick.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I've never thought of it.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I've tried that. I guess you can do it with
- 4:28Speaker 3: wax paper, but that's not how they're actually made. You're
- 4:31Speaker 3: with a flower when you're supposed to roll into a
- 4:32Speaker 3: ball and then just roll it out. But I don't
- 4:34Speaker 3: have kind of either of those skills, right, So then
- 4:37Speaker 3: they end up being kind of just like shapes of
- 4:40Speaker 3: different states.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Or something the same thing. Have you ever tried to
- 4:42Speaker 2: make peda?
- 4:43Speaker 3: Oh, forget it. It's another thing that I mean, when
- 4:47Speaker 3: made well, it's the best thing in the world. When
- 4:50Speaker 3: bought at Albertson's a bad product. It's like a different
- 4:54Speaker 3: food altogether.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Right, yes, because when you buy to the store a
- 4:57Speaker 2: lot of times they're like a peda pocket.
- 5:00Speaker 3: The pocket is a tough one.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Right, and not like a beautiful pita that you get
- 5:04Speaker 2: like an Armenian restaurant.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Peana pocket is almost not pita, right, It's like a
- 5:08Speaker 3: sen food product. I would consider it.
- 5:11Speaker 4: It's like something made to go into a lunchable. It's
- 5:13Speaker 4: not like made for for adults. I'm buying them, but
- 5:18Speaker 4: it's not supposed to be.
- 5:19Speaker 3: And it's kind of it's more, uh, is it hard
- 5:23Speaker 3: in order to keep the shape of the almost purse like.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It really is like a purse, like you could their sturdy.
- 5:31Speaker 3: They're dry as hell.
- 5:33Speaker 4: They're very and I hate dry sick. I can't tell
- 5:36Speaker 4: the difference be readen anything.
- 5:37Speaker 2: This is the problem.
- 5:38Speaker 4: This is why I'm not good at cooking, because you
- 5:40Speaker 4: hand me a homemade trotilla and a car balance whatever brand,
- 5:45Speaker 4: and I have no.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Keep yourself some credit.
- 5:48Speaker 2: She really doesn't. I love her other than her taste
- 5:50Speaker 2: and lovers. She has horrible taste.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I have easy taste. I'm just like, whatever it is,
- 5:57Speaker 4: all right. And I have such a bad memory that
- 6:00Speaker 4: I'm like, once I've eaten something, I don't even remember
- 6:03Speaker 4: what I I don't remember what it tastes like, So
- 6:05Speaker 4: why spend my time?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Why waste it? She's so positive too, It's like that
- 6:08Speaker 2: kind of stuff doesn't matter to her. But she like
- 6:10Speaker 2: she loves when something's good. But she also likes when
- 6:14Speaker 2: something's not good. It's really incredible. Either way, it's an experience.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yes, that's a good attitude.
- 6:19Speaker 2: She's attitude.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I have a very poor memory, except for when it
- 6:22Speaker 3: comes to food, and then it's like it's burned into
- 6:25Speaker 3: my brain if something was good or bad, like I
- 6:27Speaker 3: will not forget a bad or good thing.
- 6:29Speaker 2: What's the worst thing you've eaten recently?
- 6:30Speaker 3: The worst thing I've eaten recently. And now that I
- 6:32Speaker 3: say that's like, oh, I have to go to cut
- 6:35Speaker 3: that out, Like when I go to a restaurant, I
- 6:38Speaker 3: can almost eat the entire thing every time, and when
- 6:40Speaker 3: I can't finish it there, that's a horrible sign for
- 6:43Speaker 3: the food. And unfortunately it's not coming.
- 6:47Speaker 2: To simulator we have.
- 6:50Speaker 4: When we were in London last year we went to
- 6:53Speaker 4: get High Tea.
- 6:55Speaker 2: It was incredible day. What was it called? It was amazing.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I think it's called like the Jubilee Diamond Room for Mason.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Oh, yes, that's what it's like.
- 7:06Speaker 2: We loved it. We had the time of our lives
- 7:09Speaker 2: and it was like one of the less recommended ones.
- 7:11Speaker 2: All the other ones were sold out.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Oh I hate to hear this, I'm trash.
- 7:14Speaker 2: No, we had a great time. The other we went
- 7:17Speaker 2: kind of late. No, I got a tournament.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Oh of course, you got it when you're in a
- 7:21Speaker 3: department store.
- 7:22Speaker 2: We had an unbelievable time and the food was incredible.
- 7:24Speaker 2: We did have this one thing that was like what
- 7:27Speaker 2: felt like an orb of pat tay that almost had
- 7:31Speaker 2: what seemed like fon dunte over it.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'm just saying hard to eat lists and.
- 7:39Speaker 4: That was one thing it really did because that for
- 7:42Speaker 4: I am a finisher, I can eat anything.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I just liked to eat.
- 7:45Speaker 4: I don't care what it is, what it tastes like.
- 7:48Speaker 4: That is one of the first things I've been like,
- 7:49Speaker 4: I cannot eat this. You're not happy because I said,
- 7:52Speaker 4: what type of chocolate is this? Jordan said that's duck.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I said, huh, horrible, Sorry, baby.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean on the one thing that I can
- 8:02Speaker 3: always go back to that I was not able to finish,
- 8:04Speaker 3: and of course I wasn't. This is years ago. Let's
- 8:06Speaker 3: just let's just say this, Okay. I was having a
- 8:11Speaker 3: chicken parm sandwich at Burger King.
- 8:15Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with that. Okay, nothing wrong with that.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yes, I got a third of the way through the sandwich.
- 8:22Speaker 3: She said, dinner's over. This is being thrown out.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I don't think that. That's not what you get a
- 8:28Speaker 2: burger King.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Oh no, you don't.
- 8:30Speaker 2: That's not what you get.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you would, but you get a chicken palm.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I get anything a burg King. She would do anything.
- 8:38Speaker 2: She's a wild woman. I love Burking. I will say there,
- 8:42Speaker 2: chicken fries have never been a hit for me.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:45Speaker 4: It feels like they're trying to prank you where there's
- 8:46Speaker 4: like no chicken in it and they just do the
- 8:48Speaker 4: breading and then it's hollow and they're.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Like, no, that's chicken. That's what it always seems like
- 8:52Speaker 2: to me. But that being said, we love the Impossible Burger.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Oh okay, and Impossible. This is a different thing that
- 8:59Speaker 3: feels like it is kind of coming from outside of
- 9:02Speaker 3: the business. Sure, it's in partnership with right, Sure, I
- 9:06Speaker 3: think I Possible company was probably like an impossible burger
- 9:10Speaker 3: almost anywhere is prettytty good.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yes, but also they have cokices, which is one of
- 9:14Speaker 2: my favorite beverages that you can possibly consume.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And then also, Burger King has the best classic so
- 9:19Speaker 2: not seasoned. I'm not talking of Popeyes or anything like that,
- 9:22Speaker 2: just a classic French fry. Burger Kings are the best.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Well, I don't know where they currently stand with French
- 9:28Speaker 3: fries because they've had an identity crisis. Like through the
- 9:31Speaker 3: late nineties thousands, there was like a new Burger King
- 9:34Speaker 3: French fry. I would say every three weeks.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Sure, they're perfect now, They're crispy on the outside, they're
- 9:39Speaker 2: mashed potato on the inside. They're delicious.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I like them, but I'm also a I'm kind of
- 9:44Speaker 4: a freak for bad fries.
- 9:45Speaker 2: You know what. I mean like, I want a soggy,
- 9:48Speaker 2: long fry. I want to fry. I could wrap a
- 9:50Speaker 2: president like, wrap it around like a boat.
- 9:52Speaker 3: It's a ribbon.
- 9:53Speaker 4: That's what I want to see. Like a fry that
- 9:54Speaker 4: looks like it's already been sucked on.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Is what I'm wrong with.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I know, I'm telling you that's what I like. If
- 10:00Speaker 2: I don't know, no, I do.
- 10:01Speaker 4: But even burger kings like those are objectively good fries.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I'm like, I kind of wish it was wetter.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Wow, So where are you getting a wet fry?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Mickey D's Mickey D don't make me say McDonald's on
- 10:10Speaker 2: a podcast, and we're not going to any of those
- 10:13Speaker 2: places when you're supposed to.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I don't know, but I dream it's like I don't
- 10:18Speaker 4: go to Chick fil because I'm gay. But when people
- 10:21Speaker 4: are like, well, they're not really that good.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I'm like, god, no, I will push back on this.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I have been in eight years.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I said every day, Okay, this is my this is
- 10:31Speaker 3: a dirty, dirty little secret. I will eat Chick fil
- 10:34Speaker 3: a if if okay a layover at.
- 10:40Speaker 2: An airport at an airport, sure, yeah, that's.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The only time. And I still feel bad about it,
- 10:45Speaker 3: but I think, look, we're trapped in the airport. Most
- 10:48Speaker 3: of the food here is going to be truly revolting.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah, God's eyes can't see you there. Yeah, you're supposed
- 10:53Speaker 2: to eat in the Kentucky International Airport. You look, they
- 10:56Speaker 2: have a gay friendly restaurant there.
- 10:58Speaker 3: When in Dallas Fort Worth, you must have got to
- 11:01Speaker 3: go to the Chick fil A. And every time I
- 11:02Speaker 3: eat it, I'm like, this is pretty good, I guess
- 11:05Speaker 3: for airport food, but yeah, I'm not gonna in the
- 11:08Speaker 3: real world, absolutely not. I will find a bride chicken
- 11:11Speaker 3: sand which elsewhere and it'll be better almost nine times
- 11:14Speaker 3: out of ten.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Well, in Chick fil A two they put on quite
- 11:17Speaker 4: a show. And I don't like to be manipulated. But
- 11:20Speaker 4: whenever I've been in a Chick fil A, which I
- 11:22Speaker 4: don't go anymore, but years and years ago I would
- 11:24Speaker 4: go when I was a teenager, they always have some
- 11:27Speaker 4: guy working the cashier that's like, haker.
- 11:30Speaker 2: It's the gayest guy you've ever met in your entire life.
- 11:33Speaker 2: What a life and four kids at age nineteen, it.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Is like the gayest place I've ever been in. I'm like,
- 11:42Speaker 4: this is so manipulative and weird.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Okay. Also, this track is what we were talking about earlier.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But speaking of gayest place we've ever.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Been, Oh, I can't wait to get into this.
- 11:50Speaker 2: You said you're from near Salt Lake City. Salt Lake
- 11:53Speaker 2: City is the gayest place we've ever been in our
- 11:56Speaker 2: entire life. Kendall and I got recognized everywhere we went
- 11:59Speaker 2: and we're not family as at all. I feel like Beyonce.
- 12:02Speaker 4: I literally walked in every story, walked into there was
- 12:05Speaker 4: a person with like a short blue haircut, like.
- 12:08Speaker 2: No way, no way, Kendall, Jordan knows, what's my name?
- 12:11Speaker 2: What are you doing here? Why are you outside of
- 12:13Speaker 2: LA We're like, whoa, they know so much.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You're a drop of water in the desert. Drink that baby,
- 12:18Speaker 3: drink it.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I loved it. We had a blast. We went to
- 12:22Speaker 2: a drag show, a silent disco. We were there for
- 12:26Speaker 2: a real Housewives of Salt Lake City birthday party weekend
- 12:30Speaker 2: for the producer of our podcast, Blake.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 12:33Speaker 2: We thought it was gonna be like kind of we
- 12:35Speaker 2: were like, oh no, we shouldn't have agreed to this
- 12:36Speaker 2: because we're gonna get there for one second, We're gonna
- 12:39Speaker 2: be like haha, this is funny. And then it's gonna
- 12:41Speaker 2: be over and we're still gonna be in Saltlake City
- 12:43Speaker 2: for three more days. We have the time of our lives.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Oh Utah is such an onion to talk about because
- 12:49Speaker 3: the layers are so complicated and strange, and it every
- 12:52Speaker 3: day seems to just be trying its hardest to self
- 12:56Speaker 3: destruct with this new like not letting pride flags be
- 12:59Speaker 3: in schools. It's really like in competition to become a
- 13:03Speaker 3: more boring version of Florida.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But I think give it three more years, Mormons are
- 13:10Speaker 2: going to be like gay people are allowed, they need this,
- 13:14Speaker 2: they need did you hear anything? Are you ex Mormon?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I'm ex Mormon.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yes, they're dropping new undergarments. You heard what new? More
- 13:24Speaker 2: like you need to wear a new style of easier
- 13:26Speaker 2: to wear, less conservative undergarments.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Underwear that's not an under Jesus can't drop new merch.
- 13:34Speaker 3: What is this?
- 13:36Speaker 2: So I'm telling you in three years, they're going to
- 13:38Speaker 2: be like Dyke's get in here.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I mean it's because people under fifty are Yeah, I
- 13:42Speaker 3: would say under fifty at this point are rapidly leaving
- 13:45Speaker 3: because they're like, there are so many things that I
- 13:48Speaker 3: don't agree with here, and they're like they're making friends
- 13:52Speaker 3: and they're being on the internet for more than one minute,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, things are not adding up, and
- 13:57Speaker 3: why is this thing to have so many bad feet
- 14:00Speaker 3: things about people? So many people at this point, And
- 14:05Speaker 3: I have to be careful even how I speak about
- 14:06Speaker 3: the Mormon Church because I have a lot of loved
- 14:08Speaker 3: ones in it. Sure, there's so many great people within it,
- 14:10Speaker 3: but the yeah, it's a truly I think a two
- 14:13Speaker 3: hundred billion dollar corporation of course, and literally that much money,
- 14:17Speaker 3: and they're picking on people that have nothing to do
- 14:20Speaker 3: with any any of it. It's just like, leave us alone.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're gonna change their minds.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I'm telling you they do that.
- 14:25Speaker 2: There are the Catholic Church. They've been around too long.
- 14:28Speaker 2: We have to they got to get out of here.
- 14:29Speaker 2: They've been around too long. They're not changing at all.
- 14:31Speaker 2: They're just saying, but Mormons, if enough people leave, they'll
- 14:34Speaker 2: be like, you know what, actually, gay people, trans people,
- 14:37Speaker 2: you're allowed. We'll give you each one thousand dollars too.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Like they will do anything to get people in. And
- 14:42Speaker 2: I'm like, we just got to give them time.
- 14:44Speaker 3: They do change their minds a lot on a lot
- 14:46Speaker 3: of things. And they also have like a lot of
- 14:48Speaker 3: pr issues where you know, they were known as Mormons,
- 14:52Speaker 3: but then they've like kind of made this recent push
- 14:54Speaker 3: to be like that's not don't call us that.
- 14:56Speaker 2: They don't like that right fact, like it's a slur.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I'm like, relax, people don't have that. First of all,
- 15:01Speaker 3: if you want people to think good things about you,
- 15:04Speaker 3: change your behavior.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Second of all, I mean first, it's like they're on
- 15:09Speaker 3: the run or something like witness protection type style. We
- 15:12Speaker 3: still like even if you change your name to LDS
- 15:14Speaker 3: or everyone knows what that is. Essentially, Mormon is a
- 15:17Speaker 3: softer word anyway, It's an easier fun thing to say Mormon.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Also, they should stick with it because it sounds less
- 15:23Speaker 4: culty than LDS.
- 15:25Speaker 3: LDS sounds like a pill or something like it chanced.
- 15:30Speaker 4: I feel it being chanted. I'm very susceptible to stuff
- 15:34Speaker 4: like I'm telling you. If I wasn't with Jordan, I'd
- 15:35Speaker 4: probably be in the LDS. I see these hot ladies,
- 15:38Speaker 4: I say, where do I sign up?
- 15:40Speaker 3: You're dealing with a former missionary, so watch out, watch out?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Where do you go?
- 15:46Speaker 3: I was in East Malaysia and Singapore.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Okay, did they teach you to speak the language before
- 15:51Speaker 2: they sent you?
- 15:52Speaker 3: Simply didn't.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Really that surprises me. And the reason why we bring
- 15:56Speaker 2: this up is because So call in my best friend
- 16:00Speaker 2: and who is a fan of this podcast. Hi Colin.
- 16:03Speaker 2: His partner is from Taiwan and moved here a couple
- 16:06Speaker 2: of years ago from Taiwan, and he's like, the people
- 16:10Speaker 2: that speak the best Mandarin of all people are white
- 16:14Speaker 2: Mormon missions of course, because they really like So he
- 16:17Speaker 2: will watch these vlogs of like white people coming to
- 16:20Speaker 2: Taiwan and trying all the restaurants to find out what
- 16:22Speaker 2: restaurants he wants to go to because he's like, they
- 16:23Speaker 2: do better Mandarin than most people, which is insane.
- 16:26Speaker 4: That's such a hard language, tonal language.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and they do it in two years. It's really impressive.
- 16:33Speaker 3: But part of the world I was and had so
- 16:35Speaker 3: many different languages and dialects that sure, in theory, English
- 16:39Speaker 3: was the one thing that everyone spoke I see, but
- 16:42Speaker 3: especially when you get into like rural Malaysia, it's like
- 16:44Speaker 3: people don't really speak English, so it becomes this bizarre
- 16:48Speaker 3: and I ended up leaving early because of its a whole.
- 16:51Speaker 3: It's like not sold on the idea to begin with,
- 16:53Speaker 3: and then you're on a bike for eight hours a day,
- 16:55Speaker 3: You're like, maybe I should.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Wearing the whole outfit.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Well in the heat. Well in Malaysia you wear a
- 17:01Speaker 3: slightly different outfit because it's actually illegal to be a
- 17:04Speaker 3: missionary in Malaysia.
- 17:06Speaker 2: So you could have gone to jail.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I could. I Right before getting there, two missionaries had
- 17:10Speaker 3: been in jail, and so like we would instead of
- 17:14Speaker 3: you know, they wear a white shirt and a tie
- 17:15Speaker 3: and a name tag, we would wear dress pants and
- 17:19Speaker 3: a colored.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Classic Malaysian garb.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Really throw people off fit in with the crowd. You know,
- 17:25Speaker 3: I'm just blending. Literally every I went people were yelling
- 17:31Speaker 3: Harry Potter at so I don't think I was deep
- 17:37Speaker 3: covered one good.
- 17:40Speaker 2: That's really funny.
- 17:43Speaker 3: But Okay. You were in Salt Lake for the Housewives party?
- 17:46Speaker 3: What what was the general theme of it? Did you
- 17:48Speaker 3: meet any of the housewives?
- 17:49Speaker 2: No, we tried. We looked around. We went to all
- 17:52Speaker 2: the places from the show. So we went to Meredith Marx's.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Jewelry, Jewelry.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Underwhelming to Heather Gaze like med spots.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Which location did you go I've been to both.
- 18:05Speaker 2: The one next to the Dutch bros.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Okay, the one in the real.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Arrest happened where the arrest having So we walked in
- 18:15Speaker 2: and without saying anything, the woman the friends goes the
- 18:17Speaker 2: housewives mergers over there. I was like, okay, she either
- 18:20Speaker 2: thinks we're hot enough that we don't need work or
- 18:23Speaker 2: we look poor?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Why not both? Yeah?
- 18:27Speaker 2: Wish Will thinking I.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Was so close and this is I'm so lucky to
- 18:30Speaker 4: have you Jordan, because Jordan really grounds me. I would
- 18:32Speaker 4: have I know myself, I would have gotten eight thousand
- 18:35Speaker 4: dollars worth of work done just because that pissed me
- 18:38Speaker 4: off so much.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I was like, how do you know I'm not here?
- 18:40Speaker 3: Okay, I'm getting it all.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah. And then we went to Vaultures Austria.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Oh you went to Vaulters and Vulture past away.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I have a video of him on my phone. Of course.
- 18:53Speaker 3: It's famous. Scene is like grinding pepper something real fast.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And I'll tell you what it was incredible was it
- 18:59Speaker 2: really was delicious. We got a table Caesar that had
- 19:02Speaker 2: like we had that like chicken paca that had huge
- 19:04Speaker 2: caper berries on it. It was delicious. We loved it.
- 19:07Speaker 2: We went to the like Speak Easy Brunch Whitney were
- 19:14Speaker 2: Whitney did the pole dance in season one. We went well.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Also we went to Thirst. Wait, it's one of the
- 19:22Speaker 2: soda places. So Thirst specifically like follows us and has
- 19:31Speaker 2: been supporters of our comedy for a long time.
- 19:35Speaker 3: So you'll never dead.
- 19:37Speaker 2: In a swig. I'm thirst all the way, Honey, have
- 19:40Speaker 2: the merch.
- 19:42Speaker 3: We love that differently, I.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Don't know they're all exactly the same thirst and a
- 19:47Speaker 2: swig and I know that, Uh, the people that own
- 19:51Speaker 2: Thirst like gay people. I don't know about Swig. This
- 19:54Speaker 2: is not me calling sw It's me calling Swig in
- 19:56Speaker 2: because I don't know where they stand on this speak out.
- 19:59Speaker 2: But third, they were just like, we love you guys.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Guys are so funny. Do you want to come in
- 20:02Speaker 2: and like do the whole thing? And we were like yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 2: They like brought us behind the counter. We were making
- 20:07Speaker 2: all of our own sodas and then they give us
- 20:09Speaker 2: deniers and like, oh they have Jordan is from New Orleans.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Okay, oh yeah, so you would know, you.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Said, it was like truly up to par with New Orleans.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Mab it's the best bignet I've had outside of New
- 20:22Speaker 2: Orleans because a lot of times people be like, it's
- 20:23Speaker 2: a beignet, but it's.
- 20:24Speaker 3: A doughnut, right right, it's a diamont.
- 20:27Speaker 2: It's not this. These are really bignets. And we made
- 20:30Speaker 2: all that. We made hundreds of sodas, and we had
- 20:32Speaker 2: literally the best time of our lives. I think about
- 20:34Speaker 2: going back to Lake City just to go back to Thirst.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It's so cool.
- 20:37Speaker 3: I think we've got to We've got to go on
- 20:39Speaker 3: a Thirst tour.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I would love Thirst.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I haven't heard of well, I've only heard of you
- 20:44Speaker 3: as of thirty seconds ago, but I haven't heard a
- 20:47Speaker 3: word from you. I'll be back to like soon, Thirst.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Fly the three of us out. But they I know
- 20:56Speaker 2: they were on Real Housewives of Mormon, Real house Why,
- 21:00Speaker 2: Real Lives, Real More, Real Real Lives. Yes, they were
- 21:06Speaker 2: on that. They like cater one of the baby showers.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yes, and they did it with the canned soda, which
- 21:11Speaker 3: I have thoughts on. Of course, give me a fountain
- 21:15Speaker 3: drink any day.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Of the way, Oh way, way and chilled.
- 21:19Speaker 3: I've just learned that McDonald's is no longer letting you
- 21:24Speaker 3: fill up your own drink in the store. Close them
- 21:28Speaker 3: corroboration should just shut down at the time that.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Is your probably don't think of myself as someone who'd
- 21:34Speaker 4: ever complained a service worker, and I don't. But the
- 21:37Speaker 4: closest I come is when I get a flat soda.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Oh I'm about to you turn it around and scream.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Ever, I have to also three nine.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Now it's as much as a coffee.
- 21:51Speaker 4: It's insane. Any Jordan wrote it, you wrote into a
- 21:55Speaker 4: corporate One time we went to Deltaco, and I love Deltalk.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I'm right you should be able to trust still to.
- 22:00Speaker 2: And we should and we love them. A long time supporter,
- 22:02Speaker 2: I love them, I said.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Jordan was like, you gotta something's gotta change you guys,
- 22:06Speaker 4: because I used to come here for you know who
- 22:08Speaker 4: has good carbonation, Costco, and it's it's hard.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Because Pepsi company.
- 22:13Speaker 3: See no, they're changing.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Really.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I just read in the news coke is on its
- 22:17Speaker 3: way to Costco.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Thank god someone's reading the news.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I like to think of myself as up to day.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I love that. I just lot a thirteen year old
- 22:26Speaker 2: tell me what's going on TikTok. Yeah. I emailed all
- 22:30Speaker 2: Taco and because I was like every time I go there.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It's bad. And also, you know, people are yelling at
- 22:35Speaker 2: these nice people that work there, The people that work
- 22:36Speaker 2: at the tul talk when yours are the nicest people.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And so I just emailed don't.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Talk corporate and I was like, hey, you guys, just
- 22:42Speaker 2: a heads up. The people that work at this location
- 22:44Speaker 2: are so nice. They do an incredible job. The food
- 22:47Speaker 2: is always delicious. You're doing them dirty by having this
- 22:49Speaker 2: bad soda machine. Just get them a new soda machine.
- 22:51Speaker 2: They had. This is gonsane. The manager of that location
- 22:54Speaker 2: called me on the phone, oh and apologized to me.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I said, you said, I'm so so sorry. This is psychotic.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I wanted them to just fix the machine and send
- 23:06Speaker 2: me one coupon. The fact that they're having you call
- 23:09Speaker 2: me is disgusting and I'm so sorry. And then I
- 23:12Speaker 2: just apologized to her profusely. And then I saw her
- 23:14Speaker 2: like two days later in the draft. That was fine.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Soda flat flat flat.
- 23:20Speaker 3: That's an easy fix. Yes, as somebody who's worked h
- 23:23Speaker 3: you know a place where we had to fix the
- 23:25Speaker 3: soda machine. You just changed the co two machines. We're
- 23:29Speaker 3: at a juice.
- 23:30Speaker 4: It also makes me go they're not being someone's not
- 23:33Speaker 4: being nice because that means that these employees are not
- 23:36Speaker 4: allowed to have soda whenever they.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Want, and they should and they should be drinks.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yes, I were in a restaurant.
- 23:43Speaker 4: I was getting diet cooked all like water, and I
- 23:46Speaker 4: would be the first person to go it's flat, you guys.
- 23:48Speaker 4: We got to change it out. I didn't know how
- 23:49Speaker 4: to change it out. We got to change it out.
- 23:51Speaker 4: They don't even know what's going on. They're probably not allowed.
- 23:52Speaker 4: They probably got cameras on. I'm not allowed to drink soda.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a real good point because I uh, when
- 23:58Speaker 3: I was working at this one place for a long time,
- 24:00Speaker 3: I was drinking straight up. I feel like I want
- 24:04Speaker 3: to give them the business. And this is a bakery
- 24:06Speaker 3: cafe chain in Utah that accused me of burglar.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Been there, been there, Okay, so keep going. I'm sorry.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I had to know, and I'm going to ask.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I was the night shift manager at this place. We'll
- 24:20Speaker 3: beep it out. It's called they're not get You're not
- 24:22Speaker 3: getting a single bit of my business. Hired me and
- 24:27Speaker 3: I was the night shift manager for quite a while. Excellent,
- 24:30Speaker 3: of course. I was a good imploy. Yeah, I can
- 24:32Speaker 3: tell I was crossing the t's, I was dotting the i's.
- 24:34Speaker 3: I was making sure everybody was doing it, stealing regularly
- 24:40Speaker 3: night shift.
- 24:41Speaker 4: If you found someone to work at night shift, let
- 24:43Speaker 4: them take your absolutely nobody there. They're taking ten years
- 24:46Speaker 4: off their life.
- 24:47Speaker 3: They get that for just the customers who hang out
- 24:49Speaker 3: after the store closed. Yes, those are the worst people alive.
- 24:53Speaker 3: But I worked there for a while. Quit and at
- 24:57Speaker 3: the time I went to my boss, Sean, I was like,
- 24:59Speaker 3: if I don't leave, I don't think I'm gonna be
- 25:01Speaker 3: able to move on, Like I'm gonna be stuck here
- 25:03Speaker 3: like I think I was twenty. It's like, yes, you are.
- 25:06Speaker 2: What are you talking about.
- 25:08Speaker 3: This is a part time job while you're in college.
- 25:10Speaker 2: You've really had a lot going on.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Now I had so much going on, So I quit.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Of course, couldn't find another part time job. Six months later,
- 25:17Speaker 3: return and now is the delivery driver.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:21Speaker 3: About two months in we get burglar Rest and I'm
- 25:25Speaker 3: on one of my delivery shifts. I get a call
- 25:27Speaker 3: from the South Jordan Police Departments this bridger, Yes, we're
- 25:31Speaker 3: gonna need you to come in, So I go in. Wow,
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm in an interrogation room with a cop, went through
- 25:38Speaker 3: the whole thing, and then they took basically took me
- 25:41Speaker 3: off the schedule. It they never I guess we're beeping
- 25:44Speaker 3: this constantly.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Fuck, beat both of those words out.
- 25:51Speaker 3: But during over the course of the investigation, they were
- 25:54Speaker 3: asking all these questions like where were you this night?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. They came in they said, uh, something
- 26:00Speaker 3: happened Tuesday night, let's say where more questions were asking
- 26:04Speaker 3: They're like, where were you Wednesday night? I was like, well,
- 26:07Speaker 3: I know on Tuesday night. I was at a concert
- 26:09Speaker 3: for sure, Wednesday, and I'm not Wednesday night. I'm not
- 26:13Speaker 3: sure that. I was like to the cup, I was like,
- 26:15Speaker 3: but you're we're talking about Tuesday night, right, So she's like,
- 26:18Speaker 3: oh yeah, oh yeah. So that was the quality of
- 26:20Speaker 3: investigation that was happening with, Like they weren't even sure
- 26:23Speaker 3: where to find to put the alibi. I know who's
- 26:27Speaker 3: who burglarized the.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Place because he was here.
- 26:31Speaker 3: He was clearly the thief, bad attitude, he worked there,
- 26:36Speaker 3: he worked there, drug dealer, had hated the place. He
- 26:42Speaker 3: was the one that had broken in and he got
- 26:45Speaker 3: away with it, and I got taken off the schedule.
- 26:47Speaker 3: And now I'm complaining about it constantly on my own podcast.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Oh he's in the Trump administration. How did we get to.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Are Salt Lake City trips? We love soda?
- 27:07Speaker 3: Okay? Yeah, So the only places I've been for real
- 27:10Speaker 3: housewives are Beauty Labin Layer, both locations. Of course, multiple times.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I get a picture every single time.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I go, have you gotten work done?
- 27:17Speaker 3: No? And do you know what I've heard? In Utah?
- 27:19Speaker 3: You don't have to have a license to practice what is?
- 27:22Speaker 3: What do you practice? Aesthetics?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Estheticians?
- 27:28Speaker 3: Esthetician? No esthetician, that's a mortician. Maybe you don't need
- 27:32Speaker 3: a license for that either. I'm not sure. Estheticians apparently
- 27:35Speaker 3: don't need a license in Utah, which gets a little
- 27:38Speaker 3: scary for me. They use needles, they're doing things.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Well, they're injecting poison into your face.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, literal talks. Yes.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I don't know though, kind of it looks good those women, well,
- 27:50Speaker 2: this is what I'll say. I'm always like, those women
- 27:52Speaker 2: do look good. But then when I think about it,
- 27:54Speaker 2: I'm like, they're all twenty two. What happens to them
- 27:56Speaker 2: when they're older? I never see you see them on
- 27:59Speaker 2: real houses and Slake City. But other than that. I'm like,
- 28:01Speaker 2: you don't really see the older ones, right, where are they?
- 28:03Speaker 3: How old Heather Gate do we think?
- 28:04Speaker 2: Oh, she doesn't count hundred years old, and it doesn't matter.
- 28:08Speaker 4: We're waiting for her. Yeah, we're I'm in love with
- 28:12Speaker 4: I like the biggest crush on her.
- 28:14Speaker 3: People love Heather.
- 28:15Speaker 2: She's a good time.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I miss Monica. I've got to say,
- 28:19Speaker 3: miss Monica.
- 28:20Speaker 2: She added a lot of spice.
- 28:22Speaker 3: She was ruining people's the entire productions life, and I
- 28:25Speaker 3: loved it.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yeah, she was evil and I thought it was good TV. Sorry.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Oh we went to the church. Oh we went to
- 28:31Speaker 2: Mary Cosby's church. It was it was boarded up. Oh
- 28:35Speaker 2: no Mary, there was a gate around time, and I
- 28:38Speaker 2: miss her. I'm sorry she's Oh I haven't watched a
- 28:41Speaker 2: new season. New season.
- 28:42Speaker 3: She's full force.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I got I think she's I think she's a
- 28:47Speaker 2: real true villain.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Yes, that's why she needs to be on watch this season.
- 28:51Speaker 3: You two. I can't wait watch's redemption arc.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Did you see the Reddit threads of people who were
- 28:58Speaker 2: in her church that had left her church?
- 29:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 29:00Speaker 2: No, check it out.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Well, then I'll watch season four again to just wash
- 29:06Speaker 3: my mouth.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Yes, this is the problem with reality TV right now
- 29:11Speaker 4: is it's like, why are you taking people off? Canceling
- 29:15Speaker 4: people's great, Sure, don't take them off a reality TV show.
- 29:18Speaker 4: That's what I'm trying to see. And that's why I
- 29:20Speaker 4: was like, I love her on the show because she's
- 29:22Speaker 4: absolutely bonkers. And now when you watch The Bachelor, all
- 29:27Speaker 4: the guys are like.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I hear you, I see you. I want to validate you.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I'm like, boring off my screen boring, Yeah, bitch, I
- 29:35Speaker 2: want to see a man punch another man. And I'm
- 29:37Speaker 2: watching The Bachelor. I want to see a man punch
- 29:39Speaker 2: another man.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Well, I can't speak to that series. But for Real Housewives, obviously,
- 29:45Speaker 3: Monica and Mary made excellent television because they were clearly
- 29:48Speaker 3: not just difficult on camera, they were like making the
- 29:51Speaker 3: PA's lives a nightmare. Like every producer must have hated
- 29:55Speaker 3: them because otherwise they would keep them.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Monica seemed certifiably needing out, I mean some kind.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Of facility, and Linda her mom, Yes, at least keep her.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Sure, let Linda and the kids' day.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I would love for give Linda her whole a whole
- 30:13Speaker 3: show just talking to plants.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You know.
- 30:15Speaker 3: I adored her and now who knows, they're probably at
- 30:18Speaker 3: home just fighting with each other, borrowing the car from
- 30:20Speaker 3: each other.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I know, in their townhouse.
- 30:23Speaker 3: No, that's a That's one thing about Salt Like housewives
- 30:26Speaker 3: that I'm not that familiar with the rest of housewives,
- 30:29Speaker 3: but like a lot of them just live in truly
- 30:31Speaker 3: normal homes that are rented to frequently rented.
- 30:34Speaker 2: That's a big thing that I always think is so
- 30:36Speaker 2: funny when they get into these kind of things. It
- 30:37Speaker 2: was the same one with Real Housewives of Dallas, where
- 30:40Speaker 2: it's like they're poor compared to all the other houses.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Yes, some housewives genuinely super rich. Yes, there is a
- 30:47Speaker 3: new one on Salt Lake that's genuinely super rich, which
- 30:49Speaker 3: one Bronwyn.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's her first.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Name, Yes, Bronwen. She and she's kind of a delight,
- 30:56Speaker 3: but she's it's also interesting to watch her because she's like, oh,
- 30:58Speaker 3: I have endless wealth, yes, and I don't even need
- 31:01Speaker 3: to be here. So she almost gets to be a
- 31:04Speaker 3: spectator because she doesn't really have to deal with anything
- 31:06Speaker 3: she doesn't want to do.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but I do think because the other girls need it.
- 31:09Speaker 2: They really were, especially in the early you know, first
- 31:12Speaker 2: two seasons fighting for their lives. They needed the show
- 31:15Speaker 2: to stay on.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Yes, you felt that, and I love that you felt
- 31:18Speaker 3: that from jen Shaw because you thought it was going
- 31:20Speaker 3: to save her from jail.
- 31:22Speaker 2: You've seen the photos of her.
- 31:23Speaker 3: With oh, with Liz Holmes, all workout, buddies. Yes, they're
- 31:28Speaker 3: gonna have a show and it's gonna feel genuinely bad
- 31:30Speaker 3: because they've ruined lives.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I think it's gonna become like everyone will forget about it,
- 31:36Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? And then it'll just
- 31:37Speaker 2: be funny.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Like the pipeline from that to gay icon is so quick. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 4: Like we're gonna be seeing Elizabeth Holmes in concert and
- 31:46Speaker 4: gay guys will be dressing as her for Halloween.
- 31:48Speaker 3: The things that the gay community is willing to forgive
- 31:51Speaker 3: if someone's like a genuine villain, it's just like we
- 31:54Speaker 3: love it, we love it, allow it. Yes, and Liz Holmes,
- 31:58Speaker 3: I guess she did. Most of the pople's lives she
- 32:00Speaker 3: ruined were tech people.
- 32:02Speaker 2: That's so hard because I still don't understand what she did. Unfortunately,
- 32:06Speaker 2: I'm like she made a fake medicine and then sold
- 32:10Speaker 2: it to like men at a company, but it never existed, Like,
- 32:13Speaker 2: what are you talking about? If that's what happened, those
- 32:16Speaker 2: men should be in jail.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I think a lot of people should be in jail
- 32:18Speaker 3: for that thing, right.
- 32:20Speaker 2: But did it ever affect me? Did it ever affect
- 32:24Speaker 2: the common man?
- 32:25Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean? I don't think it
- 32:26Speaker 3: ever really trickled down to the normal population, and who cares? Truly,
- 32:31Speaker 3: It's like a bunch of super rich people made a
- 32:33Speaker 3: dumb mistake, not my problem.
- 32:35Speaker 2: That's like what business is, right, Yeah, I don't know,
- 32:37Speaker 2: I've never done it, but that's what it seems like.
- 32:39Speaker 2: They're all just gambling with their money. And if you
- 32:42Speaker 2: buy into a woman tell you about a medicine that
- 32:45Speaker 2: she's never shown you, I'm sorry, that's your fault.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Ask some questions.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Jenshaw really truly did bad.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Truly, like one really step away from murder essentially.
- 32:57Speaker 2: I mean, defrauding old people is like rough. Look that's
- 33:01Speaker 2: Kreladville level.
- 33:03Speaker 3: And we know where Stewart ended up. The assistant Stewart.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Has to be in witness protection because she's going to
- 33:09Speaker 2: kill him.
- 33:11Speaker 3: She's a dangerous person, she's a violent, angry person.
- 33:14Speaker 2: She's going to defraud his grandparents she just immediately does
- 33:17Speaker 2: it again. It's got to be careful.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I could say on this topic for
- 33:22Speaker 3: the rest of my life, but there is something else
- 33:24Speaker 3: we need to talk about. Unfortunately, I hate to make
- 33:26Speaker 3: a turn into something less pleasant. But I was very
- 33:30Speaker 3: excited to have you here today. You know. He thought
- 33:32Speaker 3: they would come by, we'd have a great time. And
- 33:35Speaker 3: so things started to unravel a little bit. I'll say,
- 33:37Speaker 3: when I was trying to pull into the parking lot
- 33:40Speaker 3: and I see this car making kind of a wild
- 33:43Speaker 3: attempt to back into a space, and then I park,
- 33:49Speaker 3: I get out. It's you two, and I'm thinking, oh,
- 33:51Speaker 3: I've already lost total respect for both of them.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I wasn't driving, so calm down.
- 33:58Speaker 3: And you were holding the podcast. Let's just be very clear.
- 34:00Speaker 3: The podcast is called I said no gifts, and I
- 34:03Speaker 3: assume at least one of you saw at least half
- 34:06Speaker 3: an email. At some point you mentioned that your friend
- 34:09Speaker 3: listens to the podcast. Maybe he's not a real friend.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I don't know. Sure, maybe it's not a real listener.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Sure you two were holding a gift that I have
- 34:16Speaker 3: to assume was for me, unless you're on your way
- 34:17Speaker 3: to a party.
- 34:18Speaker 2: No, it's for you because I knew I was going
- 34:20Speaker 2: to park like that, so I said, I'm so embarrassed.
- 34:23Speaker 4: I have to bring something just to be safe. And
- 34:25Speaker 4: you know what is actually embarrassing. It's like I love
- 34:28Speaker 4: Jordan's so much, but they started like a year ago
- 34:30Speaker 4: backing into parking spaces and I don't know how to
- 34:33Speaker 4: tell them, Like, you look like a complete asshole. Why
- 34:38Speaker 4: are you pulling backing into a parking spot?
- 34:41Speaker 2: I think it looks cool. It's like a flex.
- 34:43Speaker 4: It is so weird, and you can't I'm sorry it
- 34:45Speaker 4: takes you so you're not.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Just drift because I have a backup camera and not
- 34:51Speaker 2: a front of my car camera.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Okay, I think these are two topics i'd actually like
- 34:55Speaker 3: to touch on briefly. Okay, I think we need to
- 34:57Speaker 3: have an honest conversation about backing into parking space.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Backing into parking spaces feels like the new nickelback. Why
- 35:03Speaker 2: does everyone hate it for no reasons.
- 35:05Speaker 3: To how I feel?
- 35:05Speaker 2: Really?
- 35:06Speaker 3: Yeah, this God was so villainized for such a long time,
- 35:10Speaker 3: and probably for good reason for a while, you know,
- 35:14Speaker 3: jerk asshole guys that were backing in to show off.
- 35:17Speaker 3: But I think if we look at it on a
- 35:20Speaker 3: level playing field and try to be as neutral as possible.
- 35:24Speaker 3: If you can do it, it's not a bad idea.
- 35:27Speaker 2: If you can do it. If you can do.
- 35:31Speaker 3: But the problem is the reason a lot of people
- 35:33Speaker 3: it's still an if is because it's it had this
- 35:36Speaker 3: real bad reputation. We've been afraid to try.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yes, so I'm brave.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah you're breaking I'm doing it.
- 35:43Speaker 2: But I'm also obsessed with, like doing a good job parking.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I want to make sure everyone around.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Me has considerate room to get out of.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Their car whatever. I want to be, like perfectly in
- 35:50Speaker 2: the center of my spot. Also, there was like construction
- 35:53Speaker 2: happening on the parking lot. So what happened is like
- 35:55Speaker 2: I was very stressed because there was a long period
- 35:57Speaker 2: of time of me sitting there being like, oh, am
- 36:00Speaker 2: I allowed to park? So yeah, you're giving me the finger.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I was like, am I allowed to park in this
- 36:05Speaker 2: parking spot? There's so much construction? The men working on
- 36:08Speaker 2: it were on their break. I'm not gonna bother them
- 36:10Speaker 2: on their I did not yell at them, ma'am. I said,
- 36:17Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I should have known that. So then
- 36:19Speaker 2: I went and parked in a different parking space, but
- 36:20Speaker 2: it was like different than the parking It wasn't like
- 36:23Speaker 2: marked visitors, So I was like, am I allowed to
- 36:25Speaker 2: be in this parking space. I'm very infatuated with doing
- 36:29Speaker 2: the right correct It's a problem.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Honestly, you're too considerate in a way that negatively affects me. Sorry,
- 36:37Speaker 4: it's not considerate to me because you're so scared with
- 36:39Speaker 4: like a random stranger.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Like if we were.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Never I love to stop my car in the middle
- 36:46Speaker 4: of the road, hazard lights on. If you're gonna, yeah,
- 36:50Speaker 4: I'm taking a smoot break, Jordan will not if I
- 36:53Speaker 4: stopped for half a second to just kind of.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Like, you gotta keep it going. You gotta keep it going.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Someone's coming up, someone's going. I can't just stop in
- 37:00Speaker 2: the middle of the street, can You actually can't.
- 37:03Speaker 4: And you know what, I think we all need more
- 37:05Speaker 4: patience because I tell you what, I don't even notice
- 37:07Speaker 4: when I'm driving someone stops in the road.
- 37:09Speaker 2: They're texting. That's the leak.
- 37:10Speaker 4: I don't think that's safe at all. But I'm like,
- 37:12Speaker 4: none of my business. They're texting, they're talking to their kids,
- 37:14Speaker 4: they're eating the sandwich. I truly don't even think about it.
- 37:16Speaker 4: I'm just like, and I shall wait.
- 37:18Speaker 3: You're minding your own business.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Minding my own business. I'll wait, I take a minute.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I don't want them to be stressed out. We just
- 37:23Speaker 4: on need more patience. I like, the second anything turns green,
- 37:27Speaker 4: people are hogging at me. I'm like, let me put
- 37:29Speaker 4: down my coffee, close my.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Nepplaces, to stop this crossrooms for second.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I don't think that for me, it's a patience thing.
- 37:37Speaker 2: It's just like it's not considerate and it's not safe.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm very much with you here, thank you. I mean,
- 37:43Speaker 3: I think green light, I think we all owe each
- 37:45Speaker 3: other about two to three seconds in this point. There's
- 37:47Speaker 3: a grace period because we all are looking at our phone.
- 37:50Speaker 3: We have to admit that at least I does stop light.
- 37:52Speaker 3: We're looking at the phone, unless you're at a green arrow,
- 37:55Speaker 3: in which case you have to be much more vigilant. Yes,
- 37:57Speaker 3: because you have a power there. Yeah, you can let
- 38:00Speaker 3: us all go through quickly. Yes, and if you're walking around, oh,
- 38:03Speaker 3: if it ends up being one car because you were
- 38:05Speaker 3: on your phone, straight to jail. But overall consideration, I'm
- 38:10Speaker 3: with you. My problem is I can't back into a
- 38:11Speaker 3: spot because I have zero spatial skills whatsoever? Too?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Do you not have a backup camera?
- 38:16Speaker 3: I do? That doesn't matter. Really, I am I do
- 38:19Speaker 3: not know where the car is in space or time
- 38:21Speaker 3: at any time.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Do you have a tension deficit disorder?
- 38:25Speaker 3: Some listeners have recently reached out, sure, of course to
- 38:29Speaker 3: diagnose me. Of course I have never been diagnosed. But
- 38:32Speaker 3: I'm like, maybe our listeners reaching out the new web MD.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Yes, yes, well everyone listens to our podcast. Well now
- 38:42Speaker 4: I used to another podcast and all the comments are
- 38:44Speaker 4: just be like waiting for Kendall's autism diagnosed, And I
- 38:48Speaker 4: was like, okay. So then I asked my therapist. I
- 38:50Speaker 4: was like, do you think I want? Of course, I
- 38:53Speaker 4: was like I don't really think I do, but I
- 38:55Speaker 4: And then so I came. She was like, no, I
- 38:58Speaker 4: really don't think you. So then I go back to
- 38:59Speaker 4: the guess. I was like, everyone thinks I have autism.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I don't.
- 39:02Speaker 4: And then the comments were like Kendall saying she doesn't
- 39:04Speaker 4: have autism. It's a canon event. We can't interfere, so
- 39:08Speaker 4: it remains to be seen. I don't think so, but
- 39:09Speaker 4: I do have very severe ADHD. Like did the long
- 39:13Speaker 4: testing for it, he said, my executive function was he said,
- 39:17Speaker 4: I've never seen anything like that. You have just pretty
- 39:19Speaker 4: much no executive function. And something about it is, I've
- 39:22Speaker 4: I have really bad spatial awareness. So it's like anytime
- 39:24Speaker 4: I walk into a room, my shoulders hitting the door.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I don't know if you it might have dried now,
- 39:29Speaker 2: but I had a celsius before I came in.
- 39:30Speaker 4: It was all down my shirt because every time I
- 39:33Speaker 4: go to drink, I don't know where my mouth is.
- 39:35Speaker 2: I just pour it down myself.
- 39:36Speaker 3: I thought this was all just because I was gay maybe,
- 39:39Speaker 3: And part of that interesting, What is the whole test?
- 39:42Speaker 3: What do they do make you do? Or can I
- 39:44Speaker 3: not know? Because then I'll cheat?
- 39:46Speaker 2: Well, I don't think you could cheat if you wanted to.
- 39:49Speaker 4: I think, yeah, it's it's really terrible, to be honest.
- 39:53Speaker 4: I don't think a lot of people take it now
- 39:55Speaker 4: because it seems like people can just like get yeah,
- 40:00Speaker 4: they're like listeners reach out and Walgreen's like, okay, that's
- 40:02Speaker 4: good enough. But when I got diagnosed, I did to
- 40:05Speaker 4: take this long test. It was like seven six hours
- 40:08Speaker 4: on zoom because it was during oh Cravy, so it
- 40:12Speaker 4: was it's basically designed where if you have ADHD you cannot.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Make it through this test.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Wow.
- 40:19Speaker 4: And so by the end, I remember the last The
- 40:24Speaker 4: last thing they had me do was you know one
- 40:27Speaker 4: of those tests where every time the letter B comes up,
- 40:29Speaker 4: you press the space right very easy. I have good eyes.
- 40:33Speaker 4: I'm not unable to see you when the beat comes up.
- 40:35Speaker 4: This was an hour six I missed like twenty five
- 40:39Speaker 4: bees out of fifty because I was so he said
- 40:43Speaker 4: during the test, I looked away.
- 40:45Speaker 2: I was just looking around. I was so exhausted, but
- 40:50Speaker 2: I couldn't do it.
- 40:50Speaker 4: And then there was one test where he said, name
- 40:53Speaker 4: as many animals as you can in a minute. He said,
- 40:56Speaker 4: I named more animals than he'd ever seen. I name
- 40:58Speaker 4: more animals.
- 40:59Speaker 2: You never seen it.
- 40:59Speaker 4: He said, you name like an animal. Second, that's my
- 41:02Speaker 4: improv training. But then he goes, now name go back
- 41:07Speaker 4: and forth. So name a your animal name, name an
- 41:11Speaker 4: animal name, and then name a boy's name. I said,
- 41:13Speaker 4: well that's complicated because what is a boy name? But
- 41:16Speaker 4: then you have to go back and forth. My I
- 41:18Speaker 4: don't remember the statistic, but it was like my ability
- 41:21Speaker 4: to do that dropped like ninety five percent.
- 41:23Speaker 2: So instead of being like zebra cow cat. I was
- 41:26Speaker 2: like zebra.
- 41:29Speaker 4: John, I like could not and that's where you I
- 41:33Speaker 4: cannot go back and forth. Like my ability no one
- 41:35Speaker 4: can really multitask. My ability to change between tasks is is.
- 41:39Speaker 3: I got to take this. I have to take this.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Take it.
- 41:42Speaker 4: It was not good and it was, but it was
- 41:44Speaker 4: also affirming, like I feel like afterwards you were like
- 41:47Speaker 4: are you upset?
- 41:48Speaker 2: Like oh, because he was like, you're so uh such
- 41:51Speaker 2: bad adhd. You also found out you had a couple
- 41:53Speaker 2: like learning disabilities.
- 41:56Speaker 4: He was like, you're he's not able to diagnose me
- 41:58Speaker 4: with the learning disability. But he was like, I would
- 42:00Speaker 4: encourage you to seek out more testing and I was like,
- 42:03Speaker 4: I'm not ever picking up a book again, so thank
- 42:05Speaker 4: you so much. But I was like, no, I feel
- 42:08Speaker 4: worst case scenario, I would have gone in and he
- 42:10Speaker 4: would have been like, you're fine, and I would have
- 42:11Speaker 4: been like, what's the problem.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I'm not something is deeply wrong. It's very nice. It
- 42:17Speaker 2: was good to know, like, yeah, my brain is actually
- 42:19Speaker 2: not functioning.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Of course that's great to learn, just to know you're
- 42:22Speaker 3: living with something. Yeah, but why wouldn't you want to know?
- 42:25Speaker 2: It's a perfect excuse for everything.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Of course, ID every time I'm late.
- 42:32Speaker 3: And I don't have to take you might be too
- 42:34Speaker 3: much to ask, but or am I asking too much? Here?
- 42:36Speaker 3: Are you on a medication?
- 42:37Speaker 2: Because I'm on a.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Medication, it has to be she can't drive or read
- 42:43Speaker 4: or be on time or and even just it, I'm
- 42:46Speaker 4: so overwhelmed because everything feels so hot.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I can't.
- 42:49Speaker 4: And when I first before I got diagnosed that they
- 42:52Speaker 4: diagnosed me with depression, and I even in the when
- 42:55Speaker 4: I got diagnosed and they put me on anti presdents,
- 42:58Speaker 4: I was like, I don't think I have to. I
- 43:00Speaker 4: really don't feel like I connect to that like at all.
- 43:02Speaker 4: And but that's really common if you've had undiagnosed ADHD
- 43:05Speaker 4: for so long.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Because every task is so hard, like.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Washing your face is so hard, like remembering, and you
- 43:12Speaker 4: mess up so much too. You piss everyone off because
- 43:14Speaker 4: you're like, oh my god, I showed up to this
- 43:15Speaker 4: photo shoot, I didn't bring any clothes.
- 43:18Speaker 2: I'm naked.
- 43:18Speaker 4: I like, are you always apologizing everyone? And it just
- 43:21Speaker 4: wears on yourself confidence, it wears on just everything. And
- 43:24Speaker 4: when I I and then you know, I got the
- 43:27Speaker 4: medical I got diagnosed in add and then I.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Got adderall at first. Okay, and you know I'm comforted.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I'm kind of from a hippie town.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Sure, sure, and I am. You are not vaccinated.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I am vaccinated by I was vaccinated, but I will
- 43:42Speaker 4: tell you I just join the other day. I was like,
- 43:44Speaker 4: I was always vaccinated because my mom came from out
- 43:46Speaker 4: of town. We didn't grow up where, like she didn't
- 43:48Speaker 4: grow up where I grew up. But when people are
- 43:52Speaker 4: like blown away by anti vaxxers, that was like most
- 43:55Speaker 4: of the people I.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Grew up interesting, even though I grew up It's called
- 43:58Speaker 2: Grass Valley.
- 43:59Speaker 4: It's in California. Okay, it's like really beautiful, but a
- 44:03Speaker 4: lot of.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Things happening in northern California have all different shapes inside.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I'm sorry I was born there. I've never met a
- 44:08Speaker 2: single person.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Wow, this was born in Grass Valet and grass badly Okay, Okay,
- 44:13Speaker 3: well chat.
- 44:14Speaker 5: I lived in Nevada City for the first six years
- 44:16Speaker 5: of my life, and then I moved to Boulder, Colorado and.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Has measles right now, right now.
- 44:21Speaker 4: That city is like it's like Grassline. Nevada City are different,
- 44:25Speaker 4: but they're the same. Like I went to school with everyone.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I went to school with was in Nevada City. Wow,
- 44:29Speaker 4: you said, I was like, is it Grass Valley? And
- 44:32Speaker 4: then you said Grass. I'm sorry, my mind's blown incredible. Okay,
- 44:34Speaker 4: we have to talk more because I never met anyone
- 44:36Speaker 4: from there. It's small, but it's a little you know,
- 44:39Speaker 4: there were still like chicken pox parties happenings take their
- 44:42Speaker 4: kids to get chicken pox, right, So I don't agree
- 44:44Speaker 4: with it, but I was not It was not uncommon,
- 44:47Speaker 4: so I was kind of like, oh, yeah, most people
- 44:49Speaker 4: don't vaccinate their kids or take advil, like that's very normal.
- 44:52Speaker 4: And so even though I don't believe in that, I
- 44:54Speaker 4: think adderall is kind of like boss.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Level and it is a medication that can be that
- 44:59Speaker 3: is often abused.
- 45:00Speaker 4: One hundred percent. And so even once I had the medication,
- 45:02Speaker 4: it's gonna be so long to take it.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Sorry, this is such a long story. I don't know
- 45:04Speaker 2: I'm talking so much about this, but it one day
- 45:07Speaker 2: I could not get out of bed. Huh, And I
- 45:10Speaker 2: always I'm sorry.
- 45:11Speaker 4: I don't want to get in trouble, but I would
- 45:12Speaker 4: roll my eyes when I see those things that are
- 45:13Speaker 4: like give yourself a sticker for brushing your teeth. I
- 45:16Speaker 4: feel like this, I understood it. I was like, I
- 45:18Speaker 4: need someone to give me a sticker. I'm not brushing
- 45:20Speaker 4: my teeth. I could not get out of bed and
- 45:23Speaker 4: was like, take the adderall, just take it, just try it.
- 45:26Speaker 4: And it was great about adderall. It's not like the
- 45:28Speaker 4: other drugs. We have to try it for two weeks. Like,
- 45:30Speaker 4: you take it one time, you'll know.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 45:32Speaker 2: If you know, you don't have to wait for it
- 45:35Speaker 2: to kick in.
- 45:36Speaker 4: And I literally got out of bed immediately and was like,
- 45:40Speaker 4: I'm fixed. Everything's fine, my brain is functioning how it's
- 45:44Speaker 4: always supposed.
- 45:45Speaker 2: It's incredible. It changed our lives.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Wow, okay, I'm gonna take the test.
- 45:50Speaker 2: I would, I really would.
- 45:51Speaker 3: I mean speaking of ADHD, I truly I was starting
- 45:54Speaker 3: to get the podcast on track with the gifts.
- 45:57Speaker 2: No back at it? Are you mad at us?
- 45:59Speaker 3: No? I'm like I'm the listeners like I was right
- 46:02Speaker 3: all along. More people are writing into diagnose me, like
- 46:05Speaker 3: this guy cannot keep track and stay on track with anything,
- 46:08Speaker 3: although I am on time all the time, which makes
- 46:10Speaker 3: me wonder because I feel like people with ADHD are
- 46:13Speaker 3: often not on time.
- 46:14Speaker 4: But maybe you have such bad anxiety from being like
- 46:17Speaker 4: from upsetting people that you like have to because I
- 46:21Speaker 4: feel like I was.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I used to be similar, Okay, or maybe you have.
- 46:25Speaker 2: I have severe generalized anxiety disorder right that I take
- 46:28Speaker 2: medication for it.
- 46:29Speaker 3: So maybe you have that, which has been very helpful.
- 46:33Speaker 2: That's what That's one of the things I take as well.
- 46:35Speaker 3: But you know, I'm willing to take as many pills
- 46:37Speaker 3: as possible.
- 46:37Speaker 2: I love that.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Let's pick a couple out. I'm here to just ask.
- 46:40Speaker 2: You for I'm willing to you.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Okay, you brought the gift. Should we open it here
- 46:46Speaker 3: on the podcast?
- 46:47Speaker 2: Do you want it? You didn't seem like you wanted it.
- 46:49Speaker 3: I mean, now I feel rude that I you know,
- 46:52Speaker 3: I guess I have to I ask.
- 46:53Speaker 2: It's really but I think you're gonna want it.
- 46:55Speaker 3: A gorgeous little bag. I'm tempted.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Kendo is incredible at wrapping.
- 46:58Speaker 3: I love It's almost like this is like Batman's suit.
- 47:01Speaker 3: It is what is this? You feel?
- 47:05Speaker 2: We were rich? Extremely rich?
- 47:12Speaker 3: Okay, we're pulling it. I love the tissue. Okay, but
- 47:15Speaker 3: oh I'm gonna pull out the tissue just because just
- 47:17Speaker 3: to make noise did sound okay? And now I'm reaching
- 47:21Speaker 3: in there are three objects. I'm gonna try to guess
- 47:24Speaker 3: they're fruit of some type, and I want to guess
- 47:27Speaker 3: they've been I imagine you plucked these yourself picked, you know,
- 47:31Speaker 3: pluck a fruit?
- 47:32Speaker 2: You do?
- 47:33Speaker 3: Do you pluck a fruit?
- 47:34Speaker 2: An apple off a tree?
- 47:35Speaker 3: Pluck an apple off a tree? I suppose go apple plucking?
- 47:38Speaker 2: Why not?
- 47:39Speaker 3: But these are these feels citrus? Yes, I'm gonna guess
- 47:43Speaker 3: these are.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Limes.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Oh don't I actually don't know. Are these tangerine?
- 47:53Speaker 2: You don't know what those are? They're lemons?
- 47:56Speaker 3: These are lemons.
- 47:57Speaker 2: What's wrong?
- 47:58Speaker 3: They're very orange.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Kendle's kind kind of popping off in a way that
- 48:01Speaker 2: I think we maybe shouldn't color blind. Those are lemons.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I don't know how I know. Well, this is what
- 48:07Speaker 2: I'll say that really upset me.
- 48:09Speaker 3: These are myer lemons.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Okay, these are my elements, Yes, from my parents, lemon tree.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Oh. Meyer lemons are tricky because they're very orange, Yes,
- 48:22Speaker 3: very sweet.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Very sweet. These are the best lemons I've ever had.
- 48:26Speaker 2: They're so thin skinned. The zest is incredible. Okay, put
- 48:30Speaker 2: them in the fridge or they will mold too quickly
- 48:34Speaker 2: because the skin is so thin. Oh but They're unbelievab
- 48:37Speaker 2: They're the best lemons I've ever had. There. My parents
- 48:39Speaker 2: live like thirty minutes north, okay, and those are from
- 48:43Speaker 2: their tree. If they start to put them in your
- 48:44Speaker 2: garbage disposal, Oh yeah, no, it's true.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Oh I love That's my little like treat to myself
- 48:50Speaker 3: where I'm like, it probably shouldn't get ground up in
- 48:52Speaker 3: the garbage disposal, but it smells wonderful. Probably just a
- 48:55Speaker 3: little bacteria dean something exactly. Okay, So why did you
- 49:00Speaker 3: bring this?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Because I think it felt like a nice thing you
- 49:05Speaker 2: would want.
- 49:06Speaker 3: It seems like a lovely thing to have in a drink.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Make a lemon meringue pie. Probably not enough for that.
- 49:13Speaker 2: We're really trying to seem like homesteaders, Okay, we're trying
- 49:17Speaker 2: to We're trying to seem sophisticated. Okay, and we really aren't,
- 49:20Speaker 2: and we really want to.
- 49:21Speaker 4: You know, we live in an apartment, but we're trying
- 49:24Speaker 4: to you know, compost and Jordan has a small tomato plant,
- 49:28Speaker 4: and we're trying to like be farmers.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Bring the earth in, yes, and like not.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Shop at you know places that you know, not go
- 49:36Speaker 4: out and just fully make our own food.
- 49:38Speaker 3: You're butchering your own meat, right, and.
- 49:41Speaker 4: So that's kind of what this is to show, is
- 49:43Speaker 4: like you think, now we have like an orchard on
- 49:45Speaker 4: our apartment.
- 49:46Speaker 3: I asked too many questions. You were hoping that I
- 49:48Speaker 3: would just move past the lemons and everyone would assume
- 49:51Speaker 3: they were yours.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Yes, but fine, it's for my parents tree. But I
- 49:54Speaker 2: don't know. It feels fancy and classy and gift you'd.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Really you well, and it's not even really your parents tree.
- 49:59Speaker 4: It's your parents neighbor's tree that hangs.
- 50:01Speaker 3: On a neighbors tree.
- 50:03Speaker 2: It hangs into my parents' yard. So legally we're allowed
- 50:05Speaker 2: to pick the fruit.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I have a neighbor has a pomegranate.
- 50:08Speaker 2: That's so good.
- 50:09Speaker 3: When those show up, I feel like I'm in heaven fens.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I thought about going on like Facebook, like buy nothing
- 50:18Speaker 2: groups or something there has to be a group with
- 50:20Speaker 2: and just posting being like, does anyone have a fruit
- 50:22Speaker 2: tree where I can come get some fruit?
- 50:23Speaker 1: Oh?
- 50:23Speaker 3: I'm sure people do. I think a lot of people
- 50:26Speaker 3: they're very spoiled and take them for granted, but they
- 50:28Speaker 3: have these trees that they're like, I can't use as
- 50:30Speaker 3: much fruit. That's like me any fruit tree owner unless
- 50:33Speaker 3: they run a business.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Well, and then the fruit falls and squirrels calm or
- 50:39Speaker 2: rats com or whatever. So I'm like, let me take it.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Let me be the rat.
- 50:44Speaker 4: And a lemon is the best tree I think to
- 50:46Speaker 4: have because it's so multi use.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you can just put it in water.
- 50:50Speaker 4: My mom had a peach tree for a while, and
- 50:52Speaker 4: it was like every whenever those bloom she was had
- 50:55Speaker 4: her cans out, being like, I've got nine hundred peaches.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I have to make jars to give to your teachers
- 50:59Speaker 4: and so much. But you can do so much of
- 51:01Speaker 4: a lemon.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Although a good peach is so hard to find, sure
- 51:05Speaker 3: to have it just be ready on the tree. I mean,
- 51:07Speaker 3: I think a peach is probably the best A ripe
- 51:10Speaker 3: peach is the best fruit available, very but it's nearly
- 51:14Speaker 3: impossible to get.
- 51:15Speaker 2: That's every fruit.
- 51:16Speaker 4: I think every fruit is us remembering the best version
- 51:20Speaker 4: of that we had ninety years ago.
- 51:22Speaker 2: That's how I feel about berries.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Oh berries are tricky. Apples I feel like are easy.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Kennel's very particular. I don't want any mealy apple.
- 51:31Speaker 4: I cut off every bruise, everything, so it's just a
- 51:34Speaker 4: tiny core that I have to nibble on, like.
- 51:35Speaker 2: A not being particular about food, but apples. The one
- 51:39Speaker 2: is the one thing.
- 51:40Speaker 3: What sort of apples are you eating?
- 51:43Speaker 2: Fuji?
- 51:43Speaker 3: That one fuji? Okay? So fuji are red?
- 51:46Speaker 2: I pick a red one at the store. I don't
- 51:47Speaker 2: really know. I like a green apple and.
- 51:51Speaker 3: A yellow apple.
- 51:53Speaker 2: What's a yellow apple? That's a lemon. You probably thought
- 51:56Speaker 2: fire lemon.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Yellow apples are I feel like are something that we're
- 52:00Speaker 3: in a paper bag lunch in like nineteen seventy eight,
- 52:03Speaker 3: and then people forgot about them. They always seem really
- 52:05Speaker 3: mealy to me. There's nothing they're not. I think they're
- 52:09Speaker 3: very sweet. Actually, I don't think they're like tart at all.
- 52:12Speaker 3: I need a fruit to have some level of kick
- 52:15Speaker 3: to fight back. So if a fruit is sweet and mealy,
- 52:19Speaker 3: it's like eating mold, it's like just eating death. Sure,
- 52:24Speaker 3: but you are having trouble with the apples. Your parents
- 52:28Speaker 3: are growing all this fruit.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't like berries.
- 52:31Speaker 3: You don't like berries at all.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Not really. I think you're always trying to chase a
- 52:35Speaker 2: good berry and I'm like, stop giving me a strawberry
- 52:37Speaker 2: in November and being surprised. And I don't like it.
- 52:41Speaker 4: But what I like with blueberries, though, they're doing some
- 52:43Speaker 4: good stuff with science with these.
- 52:45Speaker 3: What are they doing with them?
- 52:46Speaker 4: You're getting blueberries now, I know it's gonna give me
- 52:48Speaker 4: cancer one day.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I don't care. They're giving me blueberries that are an
- 52:51Speaker 2: inch wide? Wow?
- 52:52Speaker 3: Are they? Blueberries are extremely difficult for me because they're
- 52:55Speaker 3: almost always mush sweet mush. I like them to be
- 53:00Speaker 3: like I hate. I don't like to see the word firm,
- 53:02Speaker 3: but you know, yeah, like a crunch. Wait, why not
- 53:05Speaker 3: firm for me?
- 53:07Speaker 2: It's a no go.
- 53:07Speaker 3: It's a no go. Wow, firm.
- 53:09Speaker 2: I love firm rhymes with worm like worms?
- 53:13Speaker 4: All right, sorry, we're homesteaders. Yeah, very firm.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just I don't know. There's something that makes
- 53:20Speaker 3: me uncomfortable. But I like it to have some sort
- 53:23Speaker 3: of crunch or something and be sour. So I guess
- 53:26Speaker 3: I don't like you like it to be sour?
- 53:29Speaker 2: Interesting?
- 53:30Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, okay, I think I need everything to be sour.
- 53:32Speaker 3: I think my senses are all have been dulled so
- 53:35Speaker 3: much that things have to be either extremely sour or
- 53:38Speaker 3: spicy for me them. I'm extremely spicy to you, like
- 53:42Speaker 3: a spicy.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Thing, very very spicy.
- 53:44Speaker 3: How like, what's the spicy thing you'd like to eat.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Oh anything. I love lob, which is like a tie. Okay,
- 53:52Speaker 2: so you know, get that really spicy, I mean anything,
- 53:55Speaker 2: but I like it as hot as you can get
- 53:58Speaker 2: it because I'm not a thrill seeker in any other as.
- 54:01Speaker 2: I'm very safe and I'm very safe, and spice is
- 54:06Speaker 2: the one way in which I seek the thrill.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Right. I love, I love spicy food, but I've had to,
- 54:11Speaker 3: like recently, kind of dial it back because despite it
- 54:14Speaker 3: tasting wonderful, it just like it makes my stomach feel
- 54:17Speaker 3: like it was burned by, like it's ash. The next morning,
- 54:20Speaker 3: it feels like I've truly thrown it into a fire.
- 54:22Speaker 3: So I have to be careful. I have to modulate it.
- 54:24Speaker 3: I can do like a do you ever go to
- 54:25Speaker 3: Halan Rai's. I do a medium there now, okay, which
- 54:29Speaker 3: is like a spicy spicy, but beyond that is dangerous.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I think, what do you get there?
- 54:34Speaker 2: I get I would say probably hot, because that's one
- 54:37Speaker 2: below the hottest.
- 54:38Speaker 4: But you just accept kind of your pain. I feel
- 54:41Speaker 4: like I like it. I'm like sweating way it feels
- 54:45Speaker 4: good like after and this is just part of it.
- 54:49Speaker 4: I'm like you should maybe do that, and you're like,
- 54:52Speaker 4: I just have to allow that that's just part of it.
- 54:55Speaker 3: You're not a spicy eater, No, not at all.
- 54:58Speaker 4: I like nothing season And I'm really embarrassing when we
- 55:02Speaker 4: go to restaurants.
- 55:03Speaker 3: I do feel like secondhand embarrassment when my boyfriend to
- 55:06Speaker 3: order something that's like.
- 55:08Speaker 4: It's like, it's like I hate when people are so pretentious.
- 55:15Speaker 4: It's like Journoise gets embarrassed when we go to an
- 55:17Speaker 4: Italian restaurant and I ask for butter with my bread
- 55:20Speaker 4: and then they're like, we don't have that. You don't
- 55:22Speaker 4: have butter. It's a restaurant, give me some butter from
- 55:26Speaker 4: the frint. You're lying straight to my face. You're trying
- 55:28Speaker 4: to make me feel like you're better than me. You're
- 55:29Speaker 4: not gonna get me some butter. I don't say that
- 55:31Speaker 4: I do.
- 55:35Speaker 2: It's like doing it. I'm pretending.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, the little time I wish I had
- 55:39Speaker 4: butter instead of this, but I guess we'll, you know,
- 55:43Speaker 4: or like when I ask for like extra sour cream
- 55:46Speaker 4: in a Mexican restaurant, I'll be like, we don't have
- 55:48Speaker 4: sour cream because it's like really authentic. I just like
- 55:50Speaker 4: I'm like, then I'll bring some next time, and that'll
- 55:53Speaker 4: be really embarrassing for you.
- 55:55Speaker 3: To pull sour cream out of your bay warm. I
- 55:59Speaker 3: do frequently feel like I should have at least a
- 56:02Speaker 3: bottle of hot sauce in my bag, but I'm afraid
- 56:05Speaker 3: it'll break. Oh sure, then what do we do? Where
- 56:08Speaker 3: do we go from there?
- 56:08Speaker 2: Or nothing worse than a broken linquid in a band.
- 56:10Speaker 3: But when you end up, I mean, the one thing
- 56:12Speaker 3: worse is when you go to a restaurant and all
- 56:13Speaker 3: they have is tabasco.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Oh, it's so awful. It's and it's just the bread,
- 56:21Speaker 2: one grain Chipotle. We can do, just the red tabasco.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Why it's bad? Sorry, Louisiana, it's bad. It's just cayenne
- 56:32Speaker 2: and vinegar. But I like both cayenne and vinegar, So
- 56:35Speaker 2: I don't know what's going wrong.
- 56:37Speaker 3: It's just not what you like. It's not what you
- 56:39Speaker 3: want out of a hot sauce.
- 56:40Speaker 2: It doesn't taste good. It's not what you want to
- 56:41Speaker 2: have anything. You have to have something else, especially when
- 56:44Speaker 2: you go to a place that's like if I go
- 56:46Speaker 2: to a place that's like a Cajun place and they
- 56:48Speaker 2: only had tabasco. First of all, they won't. If it's
- 56:50Speaker 2: a real Cajun, real place, they're gonna have Louiana, they're
- 56:53Speaker 2: gonna have crystal, You're gonna have something, yes, But if
- 56:57Speaker 2: it's more like that, they only have Tabasco. Okay. Sometimes
- 56:59Speaker 2: you go to like like an Italian restaurant or like
- 57:02Speaker 2: a weird whatever, and then they like only have Tabasco.
- 57:04Speaker 3: I'm like, unacceptable. Is this unacceptable? There are so many
- 57:08Speaker 3: choices that other restaurants have shown they can have. Yes, Zabs,
- 57:12Speaker 3: do you like.
- 57:15Speaker 4: You should see our fridge, Like the whole shelving on
- 57:18Speaker 4: the left side is just hot sauce.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I love. I get them everywhere we go, get sent
- 57:24Speaker 2: hot sauce toar and stuff. We should go to dinner together,
- 57:28Speaker 2: or you should come over for dinner and we could
- 57:29Speaker 2: do something really spicy.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Do you have a favorite hot sauce in the world?
- 57:34Speaker 2: I love the original. I can never remember the name.
- 57:41Speaker 2: I think it's maybe called sarrage panache. Maybe it's what
- 57:46Speaker 2: it's called. I have to look it up. Please have
- 57:48Speaker 2: that yellow top. It has the old top. It's like
- 57:50Speaker 2: the original.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Siracha Oh and a confusing I like siracha.
- 57:57Speaker 2: I do think it tastes good, but this is like
- 57:59Speaker 2: the like the you know, the scratch everyone thinks off
- 58:01Speaker 2: with the green top. I like it, it's good, but
- 58:04Speaker 2: this one is like really next level. So I love
- 58:06Speaker 2: that one. I love crystal. They do a garlic crystal fantastic.
- 58:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Like other big ones I really like, and I like
- 58:15Speaker 2: a true hot sauce. Now you know, it's pissing me
- 58:17Speaker 2: off lately everywhere I go, you want hot sauce, they
- 58:21Speaker 2: have Chili.
- 58:22Speaker 3: Crisp oh, which is fantastic, which is.
- 58:26Speaker 2: It's its own thing, and sometimes I want spice with
- 58:29Speaker 2: all I want spice without all that oil.
- 58:31Speaker 3: And the garlicy and has Chili Crisp has a real
- 58:35Speaker 3: distinct flake, it has texture.
- 58:37Speaker 2: But I just kind of like every restaurant now like
- 58:38Speaker 2: Americans have found out about it and I love once again,
- 58:41Speaker 2: I loved. I'm a big logam fan, like I love
- 58:43Speaker 2: Chili Crisp. I use it all the time. But it's
- 58:46Speaker 2: just like you'll go to like a regular like American
- 58:49Speaker 2: style brunch restaurant and they'll be like, well, we're not
- 58:52Speaker 2: doing hot sauce, We're doing chili Crisp. Would you like
- 58:54Speaker 2: that for your eggs, Benedict, I'm.
- 58:57Speaker 3: Like, it's not a neutral hot sauce. Yes.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Did you like the TJ's Chili crisp? Because I'm a
- 59:02Speaker 2: viral you no, that Trader Joe's onion chili crisp tastes
- 59:08Speaker 2: like old oil and onion skins. It's not good. I
- 59:11Speaker 2: hate to tell you.
- 59:12Speaker 3: TJ does a pretty good job with most of these things.
- 59:15Speaker 2: Have an arrow. Hot sauce is greatly yeah, really nice,
- 59:18Speaker 2: really simple, very affordable.
- 59:19Speaker 3: They dropped the ball on the chili crisp.
- 59:20Speaker 2: What's your favorite hot sauce?
- 59:22Speaker 3: I mean, right now, might just like go to My
- 59:24Speaker 3: hope is that a place will have Zabs. It goes
- 59:26Speaker 3: with almost everything, just spicy enough.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Everyone's having za.
- 59:29Speaker 3: I feel like in La Zabs is popping up more
- 59:32Speaker 3: and more. I mean, and also I should just say
- 59:33Speaker 3: eat it Clark Street Diner nine times a week. Okay, Yeah,
- 59:38Speaker 3: it's just an unfortunate flaw. Where I am, they're constantly
- 59:41Speaker 3: drinking probably half their diet coke supply and putting Zab's
- 59:47Speaker 3: hot sauce on everything.
- 59:48Speaker 2: That's so interesting to me because it's a Saint Augustine
- 59:52Speaker 2: Florida style hot sauce is what it allegedly is. And
- 59:55Speaker 2: I grew up origin from New Orleans and then grew
- 59:57Speaker 2: up going between Orleans and South Florida. I had no
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: ever ever heard of a Saint Augustine style hot sauce
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: or even really like a Florida regional hot sauce. Never
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: heard of that. And then Zab popped up, and now
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: it's like a whole category of hot sauce. It's very
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: interesting to me.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I really like it, and I like the name.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: It's made with the daddle pepper. Oh that's it. Yeah,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I guess a specific type of pepper that comes from
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Saint Augustine, Florida.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: I'm oh my god, the things I'm learning right now.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: But yeah, Zab's. When I'm at like a Thai restaurant,
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: I guess I hope that they have their own thing,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: of course, but siracha, although I've heard that sarracha tastes
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: different now they had some sort of issue. Control is
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: all over the place.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: This is what I'll tell you.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: And I'm sorry I've been ranting about this like I'm
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: a nine year old man, but I am like products
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: these days, they're all going downhill.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Oh the only thing I'll say that's I've spoken about
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: this on the podcast before is the Girl Scouts thin mint.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: I think it's the one thing that throughout history has
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: tasted the same, been the same quality to all of them.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: That well now they call them carbal oh similar because
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: those are the ones I wanted as a kid. Okay,
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: and when I taste them now, it really takes me back.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: It feels like it tastes the same.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Their tag alongs have fallen off the peanut butter.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Well do you know I learned this at work. There
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: are two different Girl Scout cookie bakeries in the nation.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: There's two different ones competing.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: No, but just like where they make them and the
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: tag along specifically, people say that from the two different
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: bakeries taste different.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Oh interesting stuff with a lot of I saw somewhere
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: I'm questioning if it was listening to this podcast Tony five.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: But they're cheese. It's cheese.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: It's in can If you if you really love cheese,
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: it's you go to the code on the back and
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: if it has a K in front of it means
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: it was made in the Kansas factory.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: And those are the cheese lovers. The best cheese.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: I wonder they're making the other ones interesting garbage North Hollywood,
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: literally probably interesting.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I do want to know, did you like the gift?
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: What I've been thinking about is should I taste it? Sure?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: Just peel it here and taste it. You never peel
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: a lemon.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: No, I've never seen anyone do.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: This, and I've never just eaten a lemon. I might
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: need some water.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: What is that coffee? Coffee?
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: This coffee.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: That's a real power play if you were just at
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: a restaurant and just peel, just ate a lemon.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I used to do that because I feel like in the.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: South, I grew up in grass Alley, but it went
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: from zero to six I lived in North Carolina. I
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: feel like in the South everything is served with a lemon.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: And as a kid, oh I would too. I would
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: love like a lime, just a little bit of lime.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: But I have. I mean it's been years and I've
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: never had it. Oh, thank you for the water on
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: a least. I've never had like a section of a
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: lemon and Myers lemon.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I'm excited. Your hands are going to smell.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: And you already do.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Does it smell good?
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: This feels like something to now like when you open
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: TikTok and they're like, ten reasons your cord at all
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: is fucked.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I feel like it could.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: I could totally see a world where girls are like,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: eat a full lemon every morning and it's like an
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: old day Alzheimer's.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: I'm sure. I bet we've just started that. Now the
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: ball is rolling, people are gonna be eating lemons. I
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: mean that a lemon is a tricky thing to appeel,
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: to be honest.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Well, I did ask my guy in acologist about the
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: cortisol thing.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: And what they have to say.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: She was like, that is fake. She was like, that
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: is made up. I'm so sorry to tell you. And
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: my guy in college is cool, too interesting. She's very the.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Back of a grocery store.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Yes, it's what I can afford. She but she's not
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: like some stuffy old man doctor who doesn't believe in
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: progress or listening to her. Like she's very quiet, like
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: her a lot, but she's like, yeah, that's just a thing.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Her explanation was like everything is just people looking for
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: a reason why they're gaining weight as they get older.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: And it's like she was like, if your cortisol, your
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: cortisol could only be off by such a minute amount,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: and if it was off by like way more, you'd
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: be dead. Oh so it's not like a lot of
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: these things that people are like, Oh, this thing is
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: like She's like, you would be so so sick. It's
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: not just like I've gained six pounds and my face
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: looks heavier. Oh, your Cortisol's.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: High be in the hospital.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: You'd be like very sick. Something would be really really wrong.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: So she's like, yeah, everyone's just chasing a reason as
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: to why they are a little heavier now as they
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: get older. She's like, that's just the way the body works.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Like a much liquid is These are really juicy?
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm so sorry. Oh my god, our gifts suck.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: I thought this would be a cool gift.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: I'm thrilled about this, but it's got to be. Look,
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: I've never seen anything like this.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: You're so dropping it.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: I get the seeds out to either of you now
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: that I've touched.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: On home some of those.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Thanks, Okay, we're going to give this a shot here.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: I mean, it's amazing, is it really? It's like sour candy.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: It's like the sweetest lemon you've ever had.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Oh, I genuinely I wonder if you give me a stomache,
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: if ache, if I eat more.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: It's very acidic, but you know.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna eat one more because it tastes good.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: I'm so happy. Oh this just makes my day.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: This is a delicious wet it is really.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: I don't think they're intended to be in that way necessarily,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: but I'm glad you are.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Oh delightful. It's the same thing as like a sour
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: patch or a sour guy.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: My mouth is salivating watching.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: My hands smell cleaner than they ever Again, the entire
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: extator layer has been melted off of my hands.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: This is exactly what I wanted.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: And the room smells so good.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Now, oh it does?
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Am I a lemon should just be a snack? I
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: promote that. I'm gonna start promoting that. Okay. Now I've
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: made an absolute mess of the entire studio.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: My hands are sticky.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: Okay, but that's fine. Who cares? And now I'm gonna
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: struggle here. Do your parents have other fruit trees?
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: I think that they've planted some that they're hoping become
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: full tree. Okay, but we like moved around a lot,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: so my parents really haven't gotten a chance to like
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: invest in a space in that way up until the
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: last couple of years, and I think now they're really
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: trying to do it. I think they have a fig tree. Cool,
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: and your grandma has a eucalyptus tree. My grandma has
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: the eucalyptus tree. My parents have an olive tree. Now
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: keeps trying to do alive.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: That seems like a nightmare.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: It really is. She keeps just molding them on accident.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: But I didn't think about this. Of course, olives are
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: in brine, but like you have to brine them otherwise
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: they're right kind of useless. But that's hard. It's a
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: full time job. My mom's an icy universe and she's
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: like one of the head icy unurses at like a
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: big hospital in La. So my mom's like taking on
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: these hobbies that are the kind of hobbies a retired
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: person dies.
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: And the hospital is noticing. They're like something off, something's
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: going focus on something else. Yes, Oh god. Now I
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: have some fruit trees in my yard and they rarely
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: have fruit on them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: That's devastating.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: I might be a meyer lemon. Then I've obviously never seen.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: I think sometimes you just have to fully neglect stuff,
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: as I've learned, because anytime I take care of something,
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: it dies immediately. And then there's like a thing growing
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: on my street where I walk my dog that no
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: one's touched and it's just in full bloom.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: That's how What is that bush that's all over la
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: that's uh.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: That looks like a dinosaur.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: It's like pink.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Oh, do you.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: Know what I'm talking about where it's like, ah, almost
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: it looks like something from prehistoric times. It's like the
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: almost like a succulent. And then coming out of it
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: is a long trunk. Oh that hangs if you don't
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: clip it, and no one does, And.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: I wonder what that is. So that sounds great.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: We have one outside our house.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Oh booga vilia is what I'm thinking. Oh, yes, those
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: will be like on the side of the freeway.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Yesttle beautiful.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: And then I'm trying to grow in my yard and
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: it's like no thing I try on this thing, neglect, water,
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: whatever will help it.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: Yeah, And I'm like I was walking the other day
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: and I saw one of those on our street and
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: I was like, everyone's going to Japan to see these blossoms.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: Isn't that what this is? And also we should really
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: why don't we plant more? And then people would come
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: see these dreams?
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to go to La for the blossom.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Right because I was like, we have these too. These
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: are pink and pretty. Why are you trying to get
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: people to come to La?
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: There's enough people here.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Okay, Well, is there anything left to say about the lemons?
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Before we move on?
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: You tell us?
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: Do you each name your favorite fruit?
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I didn't. What's your favorite?
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: I love a mango, a good mango. Yes, I love watermelon.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Oh? Interesting, and I love you only ask for one.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: I don't have to name. I'm a fruit fruit. I
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: love fruit. I love blueberries. I'm a big blueberry person.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Citrus is my favorite. But that's not an acceptable answer
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: most of the time, so I will say, like a
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: more solid fruit, which is pineapple.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Oh, of course tastes really a line.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: I know, I'm loving.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: Sorry, I know, I'll leave my dad ate so much pineapple.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: One time you had to go to the hospital.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Oh acid. I don't remember exactly what happened, but there
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: was a whole somewhere in his body. He was a
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: sick man.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: In general, he was very sick, but he that was
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: a separate. My mom like packed him a pineapple. He
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: was like going to go on this trip. He was
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: always going on some trip. He was always like doing
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: a business deal.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: We did not have any money.
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: I don't know what these business deals weren't working out,
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: but he my mom packed him a bunch of pineapple.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: She caught up like two full pineapples. Tried to kill him, probably,
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: but she was like, you're going on this long trip,
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: so eat these over the course. But my dad, she
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: should have known. He's a big pineapple freak. And he
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: ate them all on the first day and he had.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: To go to the hospital.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Wow, who would care?
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: His mouth was probably bleeding mouth.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: He was so sick, cankerstors. That's why I shouldn't be
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: eating lemon.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: She was fine, that's normal, two little segments.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: We'll wash my mouth out.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: It's fine. Our gift was good.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: It's an excellent gift. I don't think I've ever eaten
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: a citress on the podcast before first or walked away
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: smelling good. First. Yeah, kind of an ideal gift he
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: brought for me. Well, I think we should play a game. Please,
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: We're gonna play a game called Gift or a Curse.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: But I need a number between one and ten from you.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Three.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Okay, Wow, I have to do some light calculating to
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: get our game pieces. So right now you can promote, recommend,
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: do whatever you want.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: I'll be right back, wonderful. Please listen to our podcast,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Happy Wife, Happy Life. It's a relationship, comedy and dating
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: podcast that we do together and sometimes have guests and.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: We have an absolute blast. And if it's not your thing,
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: just turn the volume down and listen to it.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, just let it straight. I need you to be engaged.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: We just need someone. We need people listening to it.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: But we have a real blast over there. Yeah. You
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: can also follow us both on social media. I'm sure
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: that our handles will be maybe in the bio of
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: this who knows, but find us online. We'd love to
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: see you there. And Jordan has their own TV show.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: It's called Gastronauts. It's on Dropout. It's a comedy, cooking
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: competition show. We just wrapped on the second season. First
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: seasons all on Dropout and it's a real blast. I
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: think you should watch it. It's so good. It's really amazing.
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, we're just on social media and then our little
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: podcast so much fun, a lot of gay stuff, but
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: also we're trying to connect more to a straight Onio.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: We got our gay people, so.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: Now we're trying to get us straight people too, So
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: we're getting straight guests, So look forward to that.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: If you have a husband.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Connecting with straight people, it's really lifelong battle.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: It feels bizarre because it feels like the opposite of
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: everywhere else is trying to be like, we got to
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: have more gay people in our show, or gay people
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: were desperate.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: We are literally like, no more or lesbians, gay people,
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: no more lesbians this season. We've had enough.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: We've heard it, we've averted all before, you're all the same.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: We're done. We need to get a bachelorette contestant.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: We need to cross guests, get into a bigger straight
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: on here.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Yes, do straight people listen to this podcast?
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I hope they do, but I feel like mostly gay
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: people and women And then but like in case you'll
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: be like a very straight person will be listening to it.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: Like what am I saying that could possibly be appealing
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: to you?
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Sure? But I love that.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Oh of course we welcome everybody, Yes, except for all
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: the people I don't like. But yeah, that's a whole lot.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: You welcome. No, come, Yeah, if your enemy listened to this,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: you wouldn't like it.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: Oh, I would love nothing more. Leave a review enemy.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: I actually the network is telling me to remind people
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: leave reviews. Leave reviews for their podcasts as well. Everybody.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: People love that, and we still have merch These are
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: things I never talk about on the podcast and a
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: bad at the general business aspect.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Can I tell you one thing that's also helpful. We
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: didn't know this until recently, but Spotify told this to us.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: People can follow your podcast on Spotify. Oh not just
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: rate and review and listen. It's actively helpful if you
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: follow the podcast on Spotify or Apple Music or whatever.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: So make this is a great podcast. Everyone that's listening.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Make sure you go wherever you're listening and you follow
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: the podcast on the the whatever program you're listening through.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: And happy wife, happy life. Thank you. These things should
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: come with a handbook or something. Nobody knows that truly. Okay,
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: this is how we play gift or a curse. Okay,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna name three things. You're going to tell me
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: they're a gift or a curse and why and then
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: I'll tell if you're right or wrong, because there are
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: correct answers. Okay, all right. This first one is from
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: our Mega Tier of listeners, from a listener named Peter
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Gift or a curse saying that's funny but not actually laughing.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: It's a curse, but it's what I do. I don't
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: know how to stop myself from doing that. I think
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: it's a curse, but it's fine for me. I think
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: it's a curse that comes from being a comedian for
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: the last twelve thirteen years. So now I hear things
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: and I process them and go, that's funny, But I don't.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: I'm not like haha, because it's not catching me off guard.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: I think the only thing that can really catch me
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: off guard is like physical comedy.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Yes, like someone.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: I'm sorry I've talked about this so much recently, but
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: I'm a big mister Bean fan, and like that'll make
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: me laugh out loud because I don't know where he's
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: gonna drive next to.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Get a turkey on his head.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Right, that makes me laugh, But for the most part,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: I feel like stuff.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: I'm like, when you think so much about how to
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: write a joke and much to say you kind of
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: know what people are gonna say, kind of how chess
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: players are the next I'm so smart.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm a comedy genius.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: But I do that.
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: I think once I'm like my social battery is done,
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: I will start really being like, that's funny, that's funny.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: And I've stopped laughing.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: But you're saying, curse, curse. I think curse correct, Ye, curse.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: I mean it's a bad it's a bad thing to do.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: And I in the same boat here. I feel like
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: I get a most from stand ups. Stand ups will
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: not laugh. They just say that's funny, and it is.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: It's an unsettling feeling.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Well, they're objectively bad people.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: They're all, every single one of them. And I should
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: be in a prison on an island, not just a
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: regular Alcatraz.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Would love it. They would put on open mics every night.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: They wouldn't even notice. They do the same material over
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: and over.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: They run it and go, oh, I just made I
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: haven't come up with anything, and they do the same
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: set they've done for ten years, and they would they
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: wouldn't even notice.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: The were there.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Horrible feeling when someone just says that's funny, yeah, you
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: need that, you need some sort of reaction. Yes, curse,
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: good job, thank you. Okay. Number two this is from
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: a listener named John Gift or a curse speed limit
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: signs that say something like nineteen miles per hour.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: I've literally never even seen that. What are you talking about?
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: I guess like a curse because you're in an alternate
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: universe and you need to get out.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a curse because you are in Kankakee, Illinois,
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: seeing that. You're not seeing that in a place you
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: want to be. Well.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Speed limit signs in general are a curse because I
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: disagree you're.
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: Blowing down every way.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: I disagree. Yeah, I have my hazard lights on. Police please,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I disagree.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: No, I think I think it should be forty miles
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: an hour or whatever it is, and you have to
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: go that exact number, maybe one below, one over.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: But I don't like did you know. I'm sure you do.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: Police officers they can pull you over if you're going
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: the speed limit, because you could be going not with
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: the speed of traffic. But they can also pull you
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: over if you're going ten over the speed limit with
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: the speed of track.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: It's just whatever they decide. Oh yeah, of course, it's bad, course,
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: but I do find myself often wishing there are more
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: speed limit signs because sometimes I'm just driving and all
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: of a sudden I'm like, wait, what species supposed to
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: be going? So I think Kennell and I were saying
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: curse on this one.
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: It's a gift. No, it's an absolute gift. You've seen these.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: I haven't seen the nineteen miles an hour, but i've
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: seen the twelves. I've seen the well fifteen is kind
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: of common.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: Well, it's always accompanied by a sign that says slow
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: kids at play, Get your kids out of the fucking street.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Kids at play?
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Why get them in a car?
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Get a right, your kid's a car.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: That's like putting a sign up in like a tattoo parlor,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: Like don't curse kids at play?
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Why are they playing in here? It's dangerous. Get your
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: kids out of the street.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: No, it's a gift. It's a nice little challenge. How
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: often do we think about driving twelve miles an hour?
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: I've seen them for twelve eight and those are probably
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: the two that i've seen.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: I'm gonna see them ever we're now, But I swear
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: to you i've never seen one before.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Probably in parking lots. Frequently in parking structures you'll see
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: a twelve uh tawny neighborhoods.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: We're leaving here and we're going to a parking structure
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: to see if we can find one. Because I've never
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: seen this or heard of this.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: I love it and it's just a strange kind of
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: uncanny thing to see. It's like that should say thirty five?
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: Why does that say eight?
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: Wow?
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Okay, And it's you know, it's creating jobs, making people
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: have to make these signs the eight miles an hour.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: So well, yeah, the same people that make the twenty
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: five mile scigence can't make eight miles.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, you'lleges. Yeah, it's a whole different thing to raise
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: a different way basically. Okay, so you've gotten one right
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: so far, one wrong. And this final one is from
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: a listener named Rebecca Gift to a curse couples who
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: hold hands across the table at restaurants while waiting for
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: their meals to come.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Gift and I'm sure that they're going to say curse,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: but sorry, Kennill, I love each other. Back off.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: Do you too hold hands across the table?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: We hold hands all the time. Oh, that's cross. I
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: love to hold hands across the table. If we hold
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: hands across the table and make direct eye contact and
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: just chat.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: And sing harmony.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we've known to do that. I think it's
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: such a gift. What's wrong with that? Now? I don't
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: think you should be impeding the waiter in any way,
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: shape or form. As soon as the waiter even comes
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: hand on the table, KENL and I are fully hands
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: up away from the table, never interfere with the waiter
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: doing their taking me against you?
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: And yeah that's how I'm the waiters holding a.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Gun, yes, yes, And we should give waiters guns they deserve.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: They really do. Those are the one category of people
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: who should get to have a gun.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, So I both waited tables for a long
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: time and I could have used it.
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: Oh I would have used a gun every night.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: But so, I think holding is great. But you just
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: have to be aware of your surrounding.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Still.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: But I think this person is gonna say curse.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: Well the person is me.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: Oh wait, the.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Page tell you it's you. These people don't know. That's
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: why they're riding in. They need to they need to
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: be set straight.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Okay, I would have been arguing more. If i'd known
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: it was just.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: You, we can go back. I'm happy to fight over
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: these other twos.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: Listen, we'll talk about this off the pod. Okay, what
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: is this one?
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: This is a gift. I've got nothing. I have nothing
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: against people holding hands with each other because you're in
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: love too. It says you're in love and uh, oh,
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: did you say it's because you're all because I'm in love. Yeah,
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: it's a nice thing to see.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: And sometimes it is a nice little sign that you're
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: looking at some annoying people. Yeah, and why not have
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: a little red flag at the restaurant. I think it's
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: a perfect gift. Holding hands when you're sitting on the
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: same side of the booth and nobody's on the other side.
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: That's where I feel like we've gone. That's into new dimension.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: It doesn't make sense.
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: Someone's trapped. Well, some of these people in the relationship
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: is trapped against the wall.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: It's also like you're not you don't want to talk
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: because the way to talk is you're not looking at
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: each other. So it's like you don't want to talk,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: you just want to be physically close, And I think
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: that means there's something wrong. With your relations the.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Marriage is on the skids. Yeah, you're trying to figure
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: out who's going to take the kids and who's going
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: to take the boat to me.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: It feels like you're in middle school rights that to say.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: But you want to be physically close.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: Just completely, Yeah, but across the table, why not. But
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: don't get in the way, especially if a sizzling vahetas
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: is on its way down to the table. You know
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: someone's burned.
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: Well, I will say, we don't hold hands when we
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: go get fatas. No, that's more of a that's not
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: a date. That's we're not messing around. When I go
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: to Salsa and Beer, that's my favorite restaurant.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: I want to go there so bad. People rave about
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: this place.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: Please, it's my favorite restaurant in La Frozen Margarita is
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: the size of my head.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: And so they are. And they've never judged me. I say,
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: extra sour cream they're giving me. They have beans. When
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: you get there, they immediately give you beans when you
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: sit on the table.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Now no beans in a spoon.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Yeah, they be it in a gun.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: Figure it out. I am going to push back a little.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: I have a rule about when people recommend a Mexican
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: restaurant and the first thing they say is they have
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: amazing margaritas. I think that's not a good Mexican restaurant,
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: you know what, But I've heard enough about salsa and
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: beer that I'm willing to trust you.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: Listen. Can I tell you why you're wrong? Because I
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: work a lot in food and I do think you're
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: wrong because I think that it depends on what you're
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: looking for. If you want the best street taco, you're
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: ever going to have go get it from a taco truck.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: But if you want kind of like salt and beer
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: almost starts to verge on Tex mex You're getting huge margarita's,
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: frozen Margarita's, passion fruit frozen margarita giant. They have their
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: sodas come in the red plastic caps that you get
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: in the South and they read one sip, seventeen diet coats.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: We're gonna leave here and go there. It is so
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: good and huge portions, incredible salsa bar, sauces that are
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: actually hot, their house pickling, their own jalapinos and carrots.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: Night table seats ninety.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: Feet ball and do you have access to the salsa
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: bar yeah, yeahs. It's almost extinct at this.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Point because everybody thinks bars and buffets are nasty. And
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: you know what, if I have to take in a
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: little bit of someone sneeze to get the most delicious
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: salsa in an unlimited quantity, I'll do it if I
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: will lose.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: It if they ever if these idiots, and I'm a germophobe,
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: I swear I grew up I had separate silverware from
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: my family. I wouldn'tat at a table with my family.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: But if I'm at a Ruby Tuesdays, if they ever
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: take those salad bars away, it's over. It's the only
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: good salad that's ever existed. It is a Ruby Tuesday's
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: buffet out.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: I've never enjoyed their salad bar.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's You've never enjoyed a salad that so good?
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: Hate salad.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: It's Mexican blend cheese. It's all just it's like truly,
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: there's no Roman lettuce. And then the rest of it
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: is all cheese, can chickpeas, sausage, boiled eggs, and bacon
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: bits corn.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Wow, well you got two out of three. Not too bad?
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Take it and has their gift or a curse? Now
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: they're going to Now this this is where it gets
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: tricky because neither of us as has the final answer here.
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: It's to really prove, you know, give a fairness to.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: The podcast and remember that you have a connection to
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Kendall nowhere the same maybe and I'm sure you and
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: I could connect on something.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Meanwhile, Honesly is just constantly trying to take over the
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: podcast and get rid of me soon.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: Who knows, Yeah, we got that fue.
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: Oh okay, what is it?
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: Gift your a curse? Brushing your teeth in the kitchen sink, curse, curse? Illegal?
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: What that's the old You only do that when you
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: have company in town and they're staying with you and
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: they're using the bathroom for so long, and you're like, no, no, no,
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, And then you have
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: to go like brush your teeth in the kitchen sink
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: because you love your company. But other than that, what
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: and don't ever do it. I don't want to see
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: anyone brushing their teeth. That's a private thing. That's a secret.
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: You don't want people knowing you're brushing your teeth When
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: someone walks out of the room and they're trying to
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: talk to my brushing their teeth.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: I want to vomit. It is so gross. Don't show
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: people that wow private, Oh you know, I'm a come.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: On, it's a little vacation. Well, we're traveling to a
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: new country to brush our teeth. I like to get
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: a little nasty when I'm brushing my teeth.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: What if there's dishes in the sink, Oh, I'm going
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: for it.
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: Speaking of lemon, putting a lemon in a lemon in
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: the disposal. When you spit your toothpaste in there, there's
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: a little like I'm making that fresh.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: No, it would have to be a completely empty and
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: recently clean sink.
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: Absolutely not, Absolutely not on occasion late night with the
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: toothbrush and the kitchen sink, you've got just the oven
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: light on. It's a little bit more romantic. It's not
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: quite as medical as the bathroom washing.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Horrible.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: You don't.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: Gay men want to act like they're different than straight men,
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: but whisper away from being the same damn face gay man.
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: I go into their house, I go, you know what, actually,
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: first of all, buy a plate. Why do you have
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: no plates?
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: You?
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: Everything is disgusting. I'm like, you're just as much.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: I don't like that we gave you guys a TV
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: show where you give makeovers because I think it's literally.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Teeth in the kitchen sink. Apologize you're not.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: Right, use and I'll tell you something else I've been
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: doing recently. Brush my teeth in bed.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Well, that doesn't make anything. It doesn't make sense. Where
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: are you spinning it under the covers?
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: I believe I have my electric toothbrush full minutes, you know, yes,
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: and rather than standing in the bathroom, I go lie
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: down on the sink and just go. My boyfriend hates it.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: So your poor boyfriend, It's like he can come with
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: us if he needs.
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: I'm telling people, try brushing if you have an electric toothbrush.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: I can't imagine doing the manual. You know, analog, but uh,
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: electric in bed. I'm all for it, but at least analog.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: It's not that that's not.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: This podcast is the final word on toothbrush.
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: A manual toothbrush, you're not when someone's using an electric
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: tooth I'm a manual guy. My dentist every time is like,
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: stop you're gonna I mean.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: Was encouraging. I was like, who is this danger?
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: He's always like why do you not have an electric
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: toothpress because I'm old school. Whenever someone's us an electric
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: toothpress brush, Jordan is like this.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: It is springing at me like a spring vibrator. You're
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: like every time, I'm like, what this is horrible?
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: Like I would rather you just get right dentures by
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: the time you're sixty, like an orong person and not
- 1:26:07Speaker 4: spray me.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: Like I got to get into it. I fought it
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: for years and now it's changed everything. I'm in bed
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: with the toothbrush.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: I will say I have to commend you for doing
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: the full two minutes.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: Thank you. It's one of the few things. And now
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: I'm like, see, maybe I don't have ADHD. I'm people
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: to pay attention for two minutes to a toothbrush.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: No, you get in bed, probably to watch TV because
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: you can't stand a mirror.
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: And doing it in the yard, well, that's good.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: That's taking it a little fresh air. Yeah's reconnecting with nature.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna start brushing teeth in the backyard and see
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: what happens.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: That feels fine, It feels fine. The kitchen sink is
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: that's a curse, and I think you should be able
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: to be in public too.
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: I think, Kenny, I've been talking about this recently. I
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: said twenty five, your public urination is what's big in
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: twenty twenty.
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: Five, because that is I'm all for the I'm not
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: trying to say no to government, but where I peete,
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: that should be no one's business.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: Dogs are doing it right, and people who have penises
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: are doing it.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: I saw a guy yesterday in Glendale on my way
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: to joanne Fabric. I almost took a video because I
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: wanted to prove to people should.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: Be illegal, you should not be able to film people being.
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: I had to prove that public urination is a hot top.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: And then he went into his work, which.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: Is he went into his work where they have a bathroom.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: I wonder if a customer was in there. Sometimes you
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: know what you get desperate.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: I don't like public urination, but I do like Joanne's fabrics.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: So I'm I'm split on what you're saying.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: And Joanne's going out of business devastating.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: I know my mom and I have plans to go
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: on Monday to get some stuff from the from the discount.
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: The discounts are still not quite where you want them. Yeah,
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: they're twenty percent. Are you kidding me? That's a regular
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: sale that's less than their coupons.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: That's true. That's how they get you. J C Pennies
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: does the same thing. Macy's does it with the one
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: day sale, but Joanne really is closing.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I shut down.
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: Jesse Pennies need to do the same thing because I
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: feel like jac Penny has been shutting down for fifteen years.
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: Walking like nineteen ninety seven stuff series.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: But when you go into Jice Pennies, they'll be like,
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: the jeans are forty percent off, but the original price
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: would have been like two hundred and fifty dollars.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: I'm like what.
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: J C Penny at one point experimented with no sales
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: when they had Allen as a spokesperson. They tried this
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: new thing where they're like things will just be cheap
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: and like you'll never have to worry about a sale.
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: Of course they're no one's shopped there for like years
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: because they're like, oh, you can't get anything on sale.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: That's why you go to JAZ Penny to get a sale.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: People are really stupid though, because psych my mom always
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: talks about how she used to work at Dillard's and
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: they I don't remember.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: If it was the whole state would do it.
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: They'd be like a no tax day, okay, and she
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: would be like people would be lining up like it's
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Black Friday course at five am to get into the
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: no tax day. But in reality, it's like a two
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: percent sale if somebody you're.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: Not getting that much off. I once won an evening
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: gown from Dillard's, say more the worst, the first Dillards
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: that opened in Utah. They in the newspaper. They had
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: like a bunch of little things you could fail out
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: for a contest, and my brother and I filled out
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: every single one of them, obviously hoping we would win
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: something that made sense for us.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: We were in middle school, going to end up working
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: for you just right, And it taught you something about if.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: It had happened twenty years later, I would be I
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: would dress would be in mind.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: But we won the evening gown, so my mom got it,
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: which is nice. Oh that's sweet, But I wanted back
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: to school clothes. Sure Dillard's really ripped me off. I
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: haven't shopped there since.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: That's not true. They cannot keep me out of there.
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: Department stores are hard for small men.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Well, hey, most stars are also hard for big women.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Kendall and I both really hate.
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: Anything that's not just whatever they've decided as a person.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: Yeah, how tall are you?
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Five six? So if I want to go to a
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: store and feel like, oh they I'm like a normal
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: sized person, I have to go to Japan. Sure. Otherwise,
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: like I go into a department s where they start
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: at medium.
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: You still have more options than us. When we go
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: to Japan, people scream, scare organized store. They just immediately
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: say absolutely.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Say there are no clothes for you here, white Godzilla,
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: get out of here.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: No, it's a I guess shopping in general it's just
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: a nightmare. Yeah, except for some mystical person I'll never be.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: That's why I love shoes and bags.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: Oh interesting, much more?
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Does it matter? Your body can do whatever it needs
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: to ages. Shoes could change a little bit, obviously, but
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: like shoes and bags generally pretty good bets.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: You get to a certain foot size and you're there. Yeah,
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: something tragic or strange.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: Pregnancy can change, you know, get swollen.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: But then they never go back. Your fingers and you
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: get pregnant. I heard your fingers grow and your feet
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: grow and they don't go back.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: I'm not having to wish I could get pregnant.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's just what you need. Huge, huge hands,
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: huge feet, same size body.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: Okay, on a lease?
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: Does that answer it? The tall Saffex have it.
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: It is a.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: There are there are bathroom germs, and there are kitchen germs. Okay,
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: and never I agree with you, though, dare you?
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: I'm a critical though, because I'm like mop water in
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: the sink, dog washed in.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: Yes, but brushing your teeth too much? But you're but
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: you're one hundred percent right and so wrong.
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: No, we're cutting all this audio.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: This will just be kind of I'm quitting the podcast with.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: Now I win. This is this is my plan all along.
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: I just wanted you to break up with me.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: And people don't brush their teeth. They just rub a
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: rock against the leader. Let them.
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we need to answer a listener question. We
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: have a bunch of voice notes. Now, uh, let's roll
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: one of these.
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: Hey Bridger, I'm a big fan, and I think I
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: speak for your whole listenership when I say that we
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: chair shoes, so please keep it up.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: There we go.
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: I have gotten into a crazy habit of listening to
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: I said no gifts two times in a row when
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: it's overall played a second time, and I think it
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: provides such a perfect level of escapism and gives me
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: the feeling of being ghost sometime.
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: And I love you.
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: So my question is what is your karaoke song?
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: Okay, that's a fake video that you had someone sent in.
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: That is your voice, pitch, that's your voice and a modulator.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: That was not a real question, first of all. Second
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: of all, that person does have severe generalized anxiety disorder
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: if they're watching something and then immediately watching it again,
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: because I do that with TV shows.
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: I paid for that on cameo y that do not
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: say your name, Patty, She's incredible stuffer voice. Uh, do
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: you want to go first? Or should I go first?
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: You go first? Wait, you're so beloved you have to
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: go first, sup, pretending you're thinking.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: You've had Okay, actually you should go because I can't
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: sing karaoke, so I actually have to think about things.
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: I'm a horrible singer, yes, but no, you're not about
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: carry a bad level where they're like, please don't, you're
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: ruining everyone's fun. Okay, I'm to try to think of
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: one anyway.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: I did karaoke one time, and I one time that
- 1:33:18Speaker 4: at one time, which is insane because it's the exact
- 1:33:20Speaker 4: type of thing I would like to do, right, And
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: I went and I thought I was a little drunk,
- 1:33:24Speaker 4: but I was like, I'm going to do Boyfriend by
- 1:33:26Speaker 4: Justin Bieber more of a rap really, And I my
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: head was like, people are going to lose their minds, And.
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: I was so confident. I wasn't nervous at all.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: I went up.
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: First of all, it's the longest song that's ever been written.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure people were so upset and disappointed, which
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: is why I don't like doing karaoke in LA because
- 1:33:44Speaker 4: I feel like everyone who goes is like a professional
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: singer with the talent that is so embarrassing.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: Not to be rude.
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: If you're a good singer and you like go to
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: karaoke all the time to show you're good at singing,
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: that's like the girl the Sleepover who makes everyone like
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: turn around while she sings. I'm like, either get a
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: record deal.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Or got drag us your little party trick.
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: So I didn't like that because I feel like my vibe,
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: I'm like, that's the vibe of karaoke is going and
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: singing a silly little bit.
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: I was trump tized.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: I can hear how drunk I sounded too, because it
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: was in the mic, and I just remembering, like everyone
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: is so annoyed by me. And then a girl came
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: up and like saying, I will always love you perfectly.
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: And I was like, what is it's the fun in
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: that shooting fish in a barrel?
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: My audition for the voice? What are you doing?
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: I have two depending on who I'm with. The way by.
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: Fastball okay, oh yeah, of course is for a.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Specific audience, huh. And I need to be pretty drunk
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: and everyone else also needs to know that song. It's
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: it's vibe heavy.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: Or Proud Mary, a good one that seems like a classic.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: Proud Mary, and everybody loves it and everybody knows it
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: and people know the dance. So like that's one that
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: I feel like you could do more in mixed company
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: because like everybody loves and knows Proud Mary, so everyone's
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: gonna join it with you. Because I don't want to
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: be doing karaoke to be watched. I want to be
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: like closed in a room in Koreatown in New York
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: with just like eight people that I like, did an
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: improv show.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: At Trust we're all drunk? Yeah, yes, well who's the
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: way for?
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: Like you're drunk? But maybe it's like sadder like you
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: just did like a you just had like a going
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: away party and now you're all going out to karaoke.
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: That song falls in the same category as closing Time.
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's better energy than that, right, And also
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: it like, yeah, it's like Proud Mary One saying with
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: anyone the way by Fastball needs to be like thirty
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: eight plus because also, once again I don't want to
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: do it alone. But it's a fun song because a
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: lot of people forget about it and they forget how
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: much they like it, and then it is a good
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: and fun song. So it comes out to people like,
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: oh my god, I forgot about this song and that's
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: a fun energy.
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: That's a great one. I mean, listen to The first
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: thing I was gonna say was a way in the
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: Away in a manger.
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: Literally, what are you talking about?
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: I mean, obviously not, but that was the first thing
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: that popped into my mind. I thought, what a great
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: karaoke song that would get up in front of a
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: group of people that are looking to have a good
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: time and suddenly away in a manger? What does anyone
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: doing in the audience? My dream karaoke song if I
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: could sing Deborah by Beck. Do you know the song?
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: I mean it is to me seems like a perfect
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: karaoke song.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: But nobody else is gonna know that, but they'll love it.
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: Everyone loves that song the first time they hear it,
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: and it like it has funny lyrics, an incredible beat
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: like everything. It's like kind of weird and tawdry talks
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: about j C. Penny and Glendale like may also taking
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: singing lessons so I can do it, do it, But
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: I think that would be my dream, and that I've
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: in the past. I've sung Private Dancer, fun Tina Turner, Uh,
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: Breaking the Law by Judas Priest. That's an easy one.
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: You're just screaming angels among us. I did that one
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: once and it felt like a hit. I wish I
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: could sing. I feel like that. I answered it. Listen,
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: I gave everybody, everybody a new idea. A Way in
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: a Way in a Manger is the next big karaoke hit.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: I think gospel music is, you know, I wish I was.
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: I would I would call it a hymnal Christmas, not
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: call it gossip.
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: You feel the soul in a way.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: Yeah, Pentatonics has done a cover gospel music either, Kendall,
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: I will tell you I'm so easily convinced of stuff.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: I'm not religious, but anytime any religious song shows up
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: on my TikTok, I am like hands up, like I am.
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: There's no more a choir singing could get me to
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: do anything.
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but no choir is singing away in a major
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: except for a children's choir. I like that for a
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: children's hospital where all the kids are really sick. Like
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: no real choir.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: I got in so much trouble when I was four
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: years old. We went to a Christmas party. We don't
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: see these relatives anymore, but they were my Alabama relatives,
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: my dad's side of the family. Bible belt religious, just
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: but also religious, but I mean breaking every latch. Sure
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: they were using nice people, but we go to there.
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: We would go every year for Christmas and all the
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: girls would come up and sing a Bible song.
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: You call it bible, so I don't know.
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: It was some of the worst ones too. I'm like singing,
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: there's some good ones. They would sing like away in
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: the main.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: Some real snoozes.
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: Yeah, And I got up there and I was just
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: like trying to I was like, okay, sing a Christmas
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: on Christmas song. It was four years old, and I screamed,
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Felice Navidad. My dad side of the family was horrified.
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: She couldn't. They said, she's speaking Spanish. We've never heard
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: this before. We're terrified.
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: My mom, I thought it was so funny, and yeah,
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: that was one of our last Christmas at them because.
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: There are two racists. I mean they literally were like horrified.
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: Look, I remember think it was funny because I think
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: my head as a kid, I was like O because
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: it was just different. Looking back, they were really just
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: like stop speaking Spanish, crystalsane, demonic, demonic.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: Yeah, they were wow, good riddance, enjoy your boring Christmases.
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Falice nave DoD is fun. If you're racist that
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: you don't like Folice Navidad, there's something dark in your heart,
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: lock yourself in a basement and die to me.
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: Because at four, I remember going, okay, there's like three
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: Christmas Christmas songs. There's like jingle bells were a major
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: and Felice Navidad that is the Christmas song.
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: Right, Well, ask your cousins. Yeah, I can speak.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: They're the only reason I have Facebook, though, to keep.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Up with Oh, to just watch That's what my temptation
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: with Facebook. I'm like, maybe I should get back on
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: so I can see the sort of bizarre behavior. Good.
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: But most of the people that I want to pry
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: on from high school are old because of the way.
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: The reason I want to pry on them is because
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: they're the sort of people who are only on Facebook.
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: I know, yes, and so it becomes the psyche.
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: But you don't need to know what they're doing. In reality,
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: you already know what they're doing.
- 1:40:10Speaker 4: But when you see it, when you see a status,
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: that's like, of course, that's what happened to me. Dot
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: dot dot fifty comments. That's better than doing cocaine.
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: I love it. It's perfect. It's great entertainment.
