- 0:21Congratulations you have made it into the Treehouse. On Friday, September fifteen,
- 0:32twenty twenty three, Friday, number three episode Here in the Treehouse, I'm
- 0:37Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholme and Raj Sharma. Happy Friday, gentlemen,
- 0:43Happy Friday to you. There are a number of reasons to be happy on
- 0:50this Friday, not the least of which is the debut of the Treehouse Football
- 0:55Podcast yesterday, which if you are not downloading and listening, you need to
- 1:00be because even if you're not a sports fan, we still have plenty of
- 1:03stupid on the sports side. That was a lot of fun. That is
- 1:08the thing. See. See, just because we do two stupid tree House
- 1:14episodes per week doesn't mean we're fresh out of stupid. No. Yeah,
- 1:18we cook it up every day. We just don't always throw it out there
- 1:23every single day. Yeah. It's like you know, eminem and Detroit has
- 1:27the restaurants. He has Moms Spaghetti. I don't know if you guys know
- 1:32that, like you can go and yeah, so you can. You know.
- 1:34It's from the song Lose Yourself where it's like a moment on the sweat
- 1:36roll a ready mom Saghetti so you can go and buy mom spaghetti. So
- 1:38if I think we have cook up anything, it should just be called stupid.
- 1:44I don't know what would be inside of it, but it would be
- 1:46fantastic, you know all. You mean, like a casserole or something.
- 1:49Sure, like a stupid casserole. That'd be great. It'll be like some
- 1:52gravy and some red sauce and probably some legos locked up in jello. I'd
- 2:04still eat it. You're not gonna have any teeth left, but that'll be
- 2:07stupid, stupid casserole. I will point out, though, that Trey sometime
- 2:15back did purchase a very valuable RL that we will we will deploy at some
- 2:22point. What what what's the what is it? We make the stupid dot
- 2:29com? Oh? I like it. I like it. That's fantastical.
- 2:35We make the stupid. That's good. So not only are are the shows
- 2:38stupid, but that website is. Therefore, we're just waiting to figure out
- 2:45exactly what's stupid to throw on it. We don't know yet, but we've
- 2:49got it. That's the main thing. Sometimes it's better to, you know,
- 2:53go ahead and do something versus having a plan in place. We plan
- 2:57later. Just go and get the website. But this is Friday number three
- 3:02inside the Treehouse. Again, lots of reason to be happy, not the
- 3:07least of which it's Friday. Also because the Treehouse Football podcast has made its
- 3:13debut now and and in there. Obviously we're happy with the start of the
- 3:17Cowboys, and because at the start of the Friday podcast that means we get
- 3:21birthdays, and birthdays make people happy. I still don't understand how or why
- 3:24so many people love our take on celebrity birthdays. But ef it here we
- 3:30are, so I tell you what. Let's not waste any time. Let's
- 3:37jump right in. You ready, gentlemen? Yep, all right? As
- 3:49I mentioned, today is Friday, September fifteenth, twenty twenty three. Birthdays
- 3:55today. By the way, it is a good birthday day. Lots of
- 4:00well known birthdays today, which helps. We will start with John Bradley.
- 4:04He is thirty four, very basic name, but he had a memorable character
- 4:10in Game of Thrones. This is one of the few characters in Game of
- 4:13Thrones I know by name. He played Samuel Tardly on Game of Thrones.
- 4:17Do you guys remember that character? I never I've watched the first season a
- 4:21Game of Thrones and it was I I couldn't get through the second like I
- 4:29it was, I just didn't like it. It was torturous to get through
- 4:33the first season, and everyone says, oh, it's better after the first
- 4:38thing. I just I'm with you. I don't know. I'm not good
- 4:43with the fantasy weird stuff, like I'm like, really, there's a little
- 4:46person that runs the whole show, and he's like, everybody's catching nass open
- 4:51from a little person. Like I'm like, I can't not really none,
- 4:54they actually didn't from Peter Dinklige no, no. And then there's dragons,
- 4:59and then there's people. I mean, everybody back then smelled and nobody's addressing
- 5:02that. Nobody. I'm good with the fantasy, like I like the Witcher.
- 5:09I mean, the Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of my favorites.
- 5:12The books, the movies, everything, I just I couldn't. I
- 5:15just couldn't get into Game of Throw. Do you guys realize Like back then,
- 5:17like nobody, like everybody's bowing everybody, but nobody bathes. Nobody brings
- 5:20it up, like hey, you kind of state whatever your name is.
- 5:24But I love it because back then everybody smelled so bad. That was the
- 5:28norm. Therefore, they didn't know what a bad smell was. The reason
- 5:30why is because they didn't know what a good smell was. Now, just
- 5:33because they every however long, every fortnight they would bathe, they had to
- 5:40know that smelled pretty awesome. And then the rest of the time, I
- 5:43was like, we don't smell like this when we put water on us.
- 5:46The chances are they were jumping in that bathwater after four other people and possibly
- 5:49a horse, So it's not like it's smelled that much better. They were
- 5:53just wet. And then winter was always coming, but it never showed up.
- 5:57I'm like, what is happening? Like, I can't I can't to
- 6:00it. So no, it wasn't very It was a very slow moving series
- 6:03overall, with the exception of the final season. But I enjoyed the show.
- 6:09And so obviously you guys have no idea who the character Tarley is,
- 6:13but today is his birthday. But every episode like mean, winter is coming,
- 6:15and I'm like, how long is this win? It was like seven
- 6:19seasons. It was like seven seasons. No, thanks, Well, they
- 6:23didn't say it was coming tomorrow. They just said it's coming, and then
- 6:26it did. It did come. It just it just three every winter had
- 6:30taken an eed pill, so it took a while get there. That wouldn't
- 6:39last a little more than four hours. I wanted to make sure you really
- 6:42really got your money's worth before the culmination of winter coming. So anyway,
- 6:49we've got the birthday of John Bradley. He is thirty four today, and
- 6:54I don't even think Samuel Tarley was in the first season to game at thrown,
- 6:57so you really would have no idea, Trey. Let's move on to
- 6:59someone everyone does know, Prince Harry. He is thirty nine today. Yeah.
- 7:06Uh so after he and Meghan Markle, after they renounced their royal whatevers?
- 7:14Is he because he's supposed to be fifth in line for the throne,
- 7:16but since he renounced his titles, does that go away or is it just
- 7:20more of like a like a gesture like, oh, we renounced our titles,
- 7:24but if if the four people in front of him died, he'd still
- 7:27become king. Yes, and they didn't renounce their titles. They renounced,
- 7:30Uh, they basically said that they won't be performing their royal duties, their
- 7:34royal function or whatever that is for. That's interesting because Spotify told him they
- 7:40were not performing their podcast duties either. It's funny because if you read about
- 7:47like like his Invictus games and everything else, like he has done things and
- 7:53evidently like he loved being in the battlefield and like he a soldier, and
- 7:57they ever since he made it seems like ever since he married Meg and Markel,
- 8:01it's just been yeah, well, he basically did everything, so he
- 8:05literally loved being He was a screw up for most of his life. With
- 8:09anybody in that with that kind of status and whatever, they're gonna fall into
- 8:13some dumb stuff. We all know that that happens with celebrity kids all the
- 8:16time. This is on a different level, especially because the press in the
- 8:22UK is just horrendous when it comes to celebrities. But he really came into
- 8:26his own when he was in the in the military and he loved he loved
- 8:31that and for for the for the royal family, that's very much just for
- 8:37media to capture some good footage of you doing some stuff. If you looked
- 8:41at his brother, there was some very fantastic footage of him, like standing
- 8:43by a table with a map and pointing at stuff. This guy was literally
- 8:48like flying blackhawks and like was like was you and he he was, as
- 8:52they say in the yes and when and when, uh, he went back,
- 8:58that was like the whole family basically was no, no, you know,
- 9:00you don't have to do that anymore. And he's like, well,
- 9:01these are my guys. I'm not leaving them out there. And so when
- 9:05he went that was against their wishes. And then everything he did when he
- 9:09started peeling back the onion that is the royal family was like, oh,
- 9:13I don't like that you guys do this, and I'm not gonna I'm gonna
- 9:16do what I want to do. And then when that happened, nobody's ever
- 9:20done that, uh, And and when he started doing that, he started
- 9:24getting a lot of grief for it. And so now and then he married
- 9:26a lady who was divorced, and that you don't do. And then you
- 9:31know, then then she's black, and that you don't do. And they
- 9:33basically uncovered the the elitist, racist side of the monarchy, which again,
- 9:39why was anybody surprised at A ninety seven? Was his racist? Is it?
- 9:43You know? It's it's like and it will tie this back A little
- 9:46teaser of the football podcast of No One Shocked that Jerry Jones might be a
- 9:50little racist. Why is anyone shocked the Royal family the whitest of white u
- 9:56and pride themselves on the genetics of that. Yes, racist, yeah,
- 10:01I mean, uh she's British. Well yeah, because because she was the
- 10:05tightest fancier well, I mean she was also it's racism with the pinky extended.
- 10:11But the optics were good on the old lady, right, she had
- 10:13little the little corgis that she walked with, and she always had a hat,
- 10:16and she waved to people and she was very accessible to old Grandma with
- 10:20a crown. Yeah, so that the optics were really good. People didn't
- 10:22realize, like she signed the paperwork for racism, like she's signed the paperwork
- 10:26for apartheid. She signed all the paperwork for to oppress, uh, what
- 10:31she believed to be lower class people. So what I what I found amazing
- 10:35was when it came to that, everybody called her your royal highness or your
- 10:39majesty. Uh. Nelson Mandela never called her that. He called her Elizabeth.
- 10:45He never spoke. They never said your highness or your majesty ever.
- 10:48He called her Elizabeth. And he was the only person that was allowed to
- 10:50do that. And I was like, you go, dude, He's like,
- 10:52we've had enough surprise. You didn't call her anything else. But yeah,
- 10:58So I mean he kind and I kind of respect, like he wrote
- 11:01the book, and everybody kind of gave him grief saying, well, he's
- 11:03just doing it for the money, and I think for him it was just
- 11:05kind of like, let me let you in on what's going on over here.
- 11:09And nobody wants to hear that because we love watching them get married on
- 11:11TV because look at it's the princess and the prince getting married and all that
- 11:16fairy tale. You don't want to disnease. You don't want to believe,
- 11:20like they're like, oh what did they do to the Chinese? What do
- 11:22they do to the Indians? What do they do to Yeah, you don't
- 11:24want to believe any of that stuff, And so that's where that gets pulled
- 11:28back. It doesn't help their cause when you know the argument of there doing
- 11:33it for the money, but and then when you you know, totally trash
- 11:35the family, but then you still want you're mad if they don't give you
- 11:39enough money or support. It really is a double edged sort of but the
- 11:45majority of pale hypocrisy I think that's what. Yeah, But I mean the
- 11:48majority of like where the where Harry's money will come would would have come from
- 11:52outside of book deals and stuff that they're doing is from Diana's a state because
- 11:58they were the only two sons, so they got they got her estate,
- 12:01so she was worth hundreds of millions of dollars. So when people are like
- 12:05they're still getting all the money, it's coming from there. It's not like
- 12:09it's not like Prince Charles is cutting the check every every month or whatever they
- 12:13do get as part of the Royals. They do get a salary, and
- 12:18it's as a healthy one. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's when when
- 12:22you walk away from your you get you still get your money, but you
- 12:26the salary that you get, they don't get, like they don't get there
- 12:28because they walked away from that. Prince William, I want to say,
- 12:31like they said his salary is like four and a half million. Yeah,
- 12:35I wouldn't doubt it. I mean, and you would think you would think
- 12:39he'd go and get the hair transplanted just you think you can afford it.
- 12:43Yeah, but also when you're right there by Turkey and you but in my
- 12:48head, is it this one He's like, well, I'm already I'm already
- 12:52me so like like William also in the Beatles, But you're right. I
- 13:03mean, he's got enough money. He could have a Beatles haircut from the
- 13:05sixties if he's so wonderful, and no one would really care, No one
- 13:09would mind. No one cared when Jason went and all of a sudden sprouted
- 13:11hair when he took over calling games on Monday Night football. And then when
- 13:16everyone said you suck at this and he went back to play football, he
- 13:20was bald again. No one cared. Has some magical hair now too.
- 13:26Lebron James has had a not a receding hairline, well, he had a
- 13:31receding hairline. And then it started seating. And how and how Lebron James
- 13:37and and and Chia Pett couldn't find a way to come together on a deal
- 13:43just just blows my mind because it was right there in front of our eyes.
- 13:46And now I figured out why everybody likes her birthdays. Figured out from
- 13:52because no other show is going to tell you that Prince Harry is thirty nine
- 13:56and end up with chiahad Lebron James, I was when you said it earlier,
- 14:03like I don't know why people like birthdays, and I'm like, maybe
- 14:05it's because, you know, everybody has their favorite celebrity. Midway through this,
- 14:09I was like, this is what this is, so let's continue.
- 14:13Then that's only two birthdays, and like I said, this is a big
- 14:15birthday. Dave. He played Eddie Brock in Venom mad Max in Fury Road.
- 14:20And that is Tom Hardy. He is forty five today. Was nice?
- 14:26That was that guy? Uh? And then what was the boxing movie
- 14:30that he did? The MMA movie? Oh god, that was so good.
- 14:35Such a phenomenal film. A Warrior, Yeah, I believe so.
- 14:39Yeah what he fights his brother? Yeah, yeah, that was incredible.
- 14:43That's a phenomenal movie. And then Baine was just I mean, unbelievable.
- 14:48Uh. Well, good for him. Tom Hardy good sounds sounds like a
- 14:50good dude. I don't know. I don't have any story about about him.
- 14:54So that was fine. And the movie is Warrior. It's a twenty
- 14:58eleven American sports action film directed by Gavin O'Connor, stars Tom Hardy and Joel
- 15:03Edgerton. He's a he's a good actor, as well as two estranged brothers
- 15:07whose entrance into a mixed martial arts tournament makes them come to terms with their
- 15:11lives and each other. Who has a good slug line? It really is,
- 15:16though, Trey. If have you ever see that pop up on Netflix
- 15:18or something, watch that it's called Warrior. If you like Tom Hardy,
- 15:24you will absolutely love that movie. Also celebrating a birthday today, we've got
- 15:31Josh Charles. He is known to a lot of people more currently as the
- 15:35character he plays. I don't know he's gonna watch it on The Good Wife,
- 15:37but Trey and I will affectionately remember him as the role he played in
- 15:43Dead Poets Society. I also loved him in a little show and I think,
- 15:46Trey, you like this as well. Sports Night, oh yeah,
- 15:50in the day he was one of the anchors on Sports Night. The other
- 15:52anchor on Sports Night, by the way, Peter Krauso, who went on
- 15:56to six Feet under Fame and now is on is it nine one one or
- 16:03whatever it is as a firefighter in La. Yeah, that's Sports Night was
- 16:08such a good show that it was such a shame because like, I don't
- 16:12know why it didn't take him. I actually it did, okay, And
- 16:15then Robert Guillaume had a stroke and he was one of the characters that seemed
- 16:18like it never recovered from that. No, he never did, but it
- 16:22was. It was. It was so Sports Night was one of Aaron Sorkin's
- 16:26first shows, and it was it was I think his first TV show.
- 16:30Now, keep in mind, Aaron Sorkin wrote the play A Few Good Men
- 16:33and then later wrote the script for the movie A Few Good Men, which
- 16:37of course led into Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise having one of the legendary court
- 16:42scenes in cinema history. And then the next thing Aaron Sorkin did was right
- 16:47and executive produced create Sports Night, and I think it was only on for
- 16:49three seasons. I loved it, but ABC, the channel it was on,
- 16:53kept effing with it. They would like it was a what Hollywood refers
- 16:59to as a as a single camera show. It didn't have originally, I
- 17:03don't think it ever had taped in front of a studio audience. So it
- 17:07was shot like say Modern Family, or shot more like a like a film
- 17:11versus a sitcom. And ABC insisted on throwing a laugh track in it because
- 17:17they thought the show was too smart and that the idiot audience wouldn't know when
- 17:22to laugh. Yeah, that was out of Sorkin's control. The show didn't
- 17:26work, it went away, but then it still worked out Naron Sorkin's favor
- 17:29because he followed it up with the West Wing and that turned out. Okay,
- 17:32Yeah, I heard that was all right. So anyway. Josh Charles
- 17:34is fifty two today from Naughty by Nature, Kage is fifty three. Lindsay
- 17:41Lowen's mom, Dina Lowen, is sixty, but she's just a really proud
- 17:45mom. Former football great Miami Dolphins quarterback legend Dan Marino sixty one. His
- 17:53name always comes up as the one that who was the greatest quarterback or the
- 17:57greatest NFL player who have never won a Super Bowl, And a lot of
- 18:02people will say Dan Marino, Well, I mean right, like that's gotta
- 18:06be hard, Like I don't. I mean, it's like, uh,
- 18:11to Tom Cruise, I think is I think he's reconciled within himself, like
- 18:15I'm not gonna win an Oscar because they just don't want him to win one.
- 18:19Uh. And I don't know if that's the scientology side of things or
- 18:22whatever, but if he didn't, I had friends that worked on because Born
- 18:26and fourth of July was filmed here in Dallas, and I had film friends.
- 18:30I had friends that worked on that film. And there's a scene in
- 18:32the He's what he's newly paralyzed when he's in the hospital, and there's a
- 18:37scene where he's it's really painstaking scene where he's throwing up and it's it's he's
- 18:41miserable and he's crying and all sorts. And that shot was done four or
- 18:47five times and he like threw up on command, like he could do that.
- 18:51Uh, he's a tremendous actor. I don't care what you think about
- 18:53the scientology side of things or whatever, but he's just really, really good
- 18:57and few good men. He should have on something for for sure, but
- 19:03instead I think Jack Nicholson won Best Supporting Supporting Actor, Yes, and so
- 19:07I think what they'll do is kind of the same thing, along the same
- 19:11lines of Dustin Dustin Hoffman, where years later he gets one or he gets
- 19:15a Lifetime Achievement Award, But that's gonna be the same. Tom Cruise even
- 19:18nominated for Born on the fourth of July. I don't believe I think he
- 19:22might have been. I don't think he I know he didn't win, but
- 19:25I don't I don't know if he was not, I think a Golden Globe
- 19:27because I know because usually you would think if you're an actor and you portray
- 19:32a disabled veteran based on like a whether it's based on a real story or
- 19:37not, chances of you getting nominated or winning something prestigious or high. I
- 19:41mean, just ask Gary Sinisee. He was nominated for an Academy Award for
- 19:44playing Lieutenant Dan and Forrest Gum. Yes, Tom cruise was nominated for Best
- 19:49Actor and Born on the fourth of July. And Jerry McGuire, Oh that's
- 19:55right, Yeah, both of them Best Supporting Actor for Magnolia, which was
- 19:59great about that movie? Uh but yeah, I mean both both all all
- 20:04all great movies. But Dan Marino's got to be that you know what I
- 20:07mean, like in that in that profession, like all your buddies that you
- 20:11hang out with have that ring. They have the ring. But then Dan
- 20:15Marino can turn to them and say, yeah, but I played myself and
- 20:19Ace Fincura pet Detective, and Troyitman was like cool I was in Jerry McGuire.
- 20:30That's when it comes down to, he's got a better IMDb in ally
- 20:37would Yeah, nobody cares about the ring. Here's the thing that Dan Marino,
- 20:41dan Marino's role in Pet Ventura or Dan Marino's role in Ace Fintura Pet
- 20:45Detective was crucial to the story, unlike Troy Aitman's cameo in Jerry McGuire.
- 20:51Yes, and he was also in Bad Boys too, when they go for
- 20:55when they're they're chasing guys and Dan Marino's going for a test I was very
- 20:57very classy product placement for Cadillac. And they pulls up in a Cadillac and
- 21:03they the common deer of the vehicle. Uh, and it's Dan Marino and
- 21:08he's like, who's on a test drive? And he's like, well,
- 21:11let me know how it rides. Like, oh, yeah, he's gonna
- 21:11He's gonna ride the shit out of this. Another great thing though, it's
- 21:15like you said it kind of jokingly about Dan Marino's IMDb being better than other
- 21:21you know, NFL players that have rings, like said Joe Montan. It's
- 21:25like, well it is, I mean, because Dan Marino co starred with
- 21:27Courtney Cox, Jim Carrey, Will Smith, Lawrence and Lawrence and Tone Loke
- 21:38and Tone Low. Sorry, Steve Young, you just can't you just can't
- 21:45cut it. Steve Young was in a very fantastic episode of nine O two
- 21:49one zero God You and nine O two one h Jesus Other Birthdays Today from
- 22:00Oliver's Stone Turns seventy six today. He directed greats such as Platoon, Wall
- 22:06Street Born on the fourth of July. How about that? That was unplanned
- 22:10that we brought that up the doors JFK, Natural Born Killers Any given Sunday,
- 22:15Alexander w Ann Snowdon and he also wrote a bunch of those himself.
- 22:19Yeah, and he also likes to do psychedelics, which is fantastic because anytime
- 22:26I hear about a seventy six year old dude that likes to trip balls,
- 22:29I'm like, I like this guy, I don't know what it is.
- 22:32But and then you see some of the movies and you're like, oh,
- 22:33I get it. Oh yeah, yeah, you see natural Born Killers and
- 22:37you're like, so he was high the whole time. Yeah, everybody knew
- 22:40it. Everybody. Uh. Famous curmudgeon slash actor Tommy Lee Jones is seventy
- 22:47six today. Yeah he's not. And he's looked seventy six for thirty years.
- 22:56It really is amazing, Like there are just certain people that have looked
- 23:02old forever, and he's one of them. I'll give you a quick example.
- 23:06So we were out the other night and at the bar. We were
- 23:07at the restaurant bar we were at on TV, my cousin Vinnie was on,
- 23:11and I'm looking. When I first saw that movie, all those people
- 23:14looked old to me. You know, Joe Beshi looked old. The guy
- 23:18that played I can't I'm brain fighting on his name, but the guy that
- 23:21played the prosecutor looked old. What's his name? From the Adams Family,
- 23:26I'm sorry, from the Monsters? Yeah, what's his name? Trey fred
- 23:30gwen Fred Gwenn. He looked old in that movie. Even Ralph Macchio looked
- 23:36old in that movie when I first saw it as a kid, still to
- 23:40this day doesn't look old. No he doesn't, he's but even then he
- 23:44looked older than me at the time. Is kind of what I'm getting.
- 23:47But then I'm watching the movie my cousin Vinny, I'm like, all these
- 23:48people now look like my age. Yeah, And then you go and then
- 23:53you look at Ralph Mancio now and you go, oh, he looks exactly
- 23:56the same, like, I don't know, very very similar. I don't
- 23:59know what his moisture rising regiment is. I don't know if he got it
- 24:00from Trey or what I know, but I think he's six. He was
- 24:07like thirty when Yeah, this is close to thirty doing the Karate Kid movies.
- 24:11He had his uh the second Karate Kid movie was he almost the almost
- 24:17had delay production of it because his second or his second or third son was
- 24:21born right when they were about to start filming. So when he's playing this
- 24:25like he's getting on the plane, like I missed my high school day and
- 24:27she broke up with me, and I'm like, you you've been married for
- 24:30seventeen. It's the same thing from our friend Gabrielle Cartiers. Uh, Andrea
- 24:34on Natona, she was only four years older than the father on the show.
- 24:41Four years younger than the father of the show. Yeah, that was
- 24:44always freaky. Yeah. So anyway, Tommy Lee Jones, he is seventy
- 24:48seven today, and he had one of the great speeches in film history in
- 24:53The Fugitive, where he talks about every outhouse and you know, chicken house,
- 24:57you know in the area search at to find Richard Kimball. Yeah,
- 25:03but there's another line in that movie that I think is far superior. That
- 25:06does not get near the amount of praise it deserves, unless, of course,
- 25:10you've been listening to this show for any number of years via radio or
- 25:14even now podcast. Because there's another moment in that film where he delivers a
- 25:18line so impeccably that whenever I use this phrase, which is an everyday phrase
- 25:22for most people, I always think of him and the way he delivers it.
- 25:26Is the scene when they're inside the Dam and Tommy Lee Jones Marshall character
- 25:33catches up to Richard Kimball Harrison Ford, and Harrison Ford yells at him,
- 25:37I didn't kill my wife, to which Tommy Lee Jones says, I don't
- 25:42care. Is there not a better delivery of that line? I mean,
- 25:49that's one of the great that's one of the greatest deliveries of all time.
- 25:53Yeah, I think. I think the motivation for that delivery was, like
- 25:56the waters really loud, so he's just screaming yeah. But even still,
- 26:02the delivery on it, the way he's the emotion he really doesn't care,
- 26:11the look in his eyes like I really don't care. That's not my job.
- 26:15I just I'm just here to arrest you. Is this did this happen?
- 26:19What was Is this the same movie? I can't I get the two
- 26:22confused. I haven't seen it so long. I know, is this one
- 26:25with what's the one with Robert Downey Junior and him in it? That's Fugitive
- 26:29two? Fugitive two? Is that what it is? Okay? I was
- 26:33wondering which one? Was it Fugitive two or was it the US Marshals?
- 26:36Marshals? Okay, that's what you're us. That was a good one too,
- 26:41That was I really I thoroughly enjoyed that one. Yeah. That was
- 26:42one where they were chasing down Wesley Snipes, right, yes, yeah,
- 26:48yeah. I think at a certain point even in the movie, I think
- 26:52Tommy Lee Jones's character says in US Marshals, are we ever or or someone
- 26:56on his team says, are we ever going to try to catch him one
- 26:59that actually did the crime that they were and in the hindsight, uh you
- 27:04know, hindsight being twenty twenty and it's the Wesley Snipes, they could have
- 27:07just made at the irs and the movie would have been that's an FO run
- 27:17one. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that Treehouse on air

- 27:52Let's say you have a new home buyer and it's been told to them that
- 27:56their monthly payments on what it is they're looking to spend are going to be
- 27:59higher than expected. So I'm curious. I've heard you mentioned before something called
- 28:03a buy down program, So what is that and how can that help?
- 28:07So let's say you have a very negotiable seller when it comes to buying a
- 28:11home. We're seeing this right now on houses are setting on the markets a
- 28:14little bit longer on certain properties. So we have what's called a two one
- 28:18buydown. Now the seller has to pay the buy down fee, and that
- 28:22buy down fee is normally a round two point five points, so it's two
- 28:26and a half percent of the amount that you're borrowing. But what this allows
- 28:30you to do is, for example, let's say your rate was going to
- 28:33be seven and a half percent on your mortgage, it allows your first year
- 28:37rate to be five and a half percent. It allows your second year rate
- 28:41to be six and a half percent, and then it allows your rate three
- 28:45through thirty to be seven and a half percent. All you're doing dan is
- 28:48waiting over the next year or two to refinance your loan and save money at
- 28:52that time. And then if the seller paid that buy down cost and let's
- 28:56say your refinance before all those payments go up, then that money is not
- 29:02lost. It's credited to your principle of your loan. So this is a
- 29:06wonderful program. It's for buyers that are out there looking to keep their monthly
- 29:11payments lower. But you do have to be heavily negotiated with the seller.
- 29:15So pick up the phone before you go out looking. If you've never heard
- 29:18of a two one buy down or three two one buy down, call us.
- 29:21Let's talk about the opportunities because it's saving people a lot of money when

- 30:33Double check here. I think we got all the birthdays in oh I wait,
- 30:37no, there is actually one other living birthday today with the name that
- 30:41Raj. I'm not sure if you will know the name, but I know
- 30:45Trey does, and that is Baseball Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry. He is
- 30:48eighty four, Sorry, he is eighty five today. I do not I
- 30:53apologize for my lack of knowledge of geriatric Hall of Fame Baseball players I uh
- 31:02my, apologies to Tray. I don't know if this is a role model
- 31:03of yours or why you would know, Gaylord. I think the only way,
- 31:07I think, the only way that Gaylord Perry might be a role model
- 31:11for Trey is just in longevity. Okay, did he did he? I
- 31:18don't. I don't know what what did? Who? Did? He play
- 31:19for? What? A number of teams? But at one point I believe
- 31:23near the end of his career he was a Texas Ranger. Yes, oh
- 31:27gotcha. He does sound like if it now, had you said with that
- 31:30same name Broadway choreographer, it sounds like I would I would most likely like
- 31:37if you were like and and turning eighty five today is a Broadway choreographer,
- 31:41gay Lord Perry, I'm like, oh, yeah, all right, yeah,
- 31:45I bet he's won a Tony or two, or at least dated a
- 31:48few. So happy birthday, Gaylord Pry. I'm sure you're so excited for
- 31:56it. Moving on to news now, there has been a recent arrest that
- 32:10has consumed the American zeitgeist. The convicted killer who escaped from a Pennsylvania prison
- 32:16nearly two weeks ago is in custody. Tactical teams used heat seeking technology to
- 32:23find end surround Danello Cavalcante and a police dog ultimately subdued him when he tried
- 32:30to flee. Hell yeah, I love it when they love it. When
- 32:34they launched the furry missiles prose. If you had never gone down the rabbit
- 32:39hole on YouTube or just the internet in general of police canines being deployed,
- 32:45and I'm meaning being deployed, it is up. There was some of the
- 32:50most satisfying things because it's it's almost as good as seeing the eighten Worth Hogg
- 32:55or eighten Thunderbolt doing the machine gun on its nose fire because it doesn't sound
- 33:00like a machine gun like Aware of It sounds like a drunk pigeon. Discomplete
- 33:08side note on it. There was a meme the other day that really made
- 33:12me laugh because it was like it showed like an F twenty two and it
- 33:15goes, my plane has guns, and then it showed a ward Hog and
- 33:17it goes, my gun has a plane. And that is true. It
- 33:24is very, very true. The Air Force went to I forget who the
- 33:28manufacturer is of the A ten and they basically said, all right, here's
- 33:31the gun. We wont now build the plane around it, and they did
- 33:36built the plane around the gun that comes out the nose or just underneath the
- 33:40nose of the A ten, and that's what they did. They gave him
- 33:43the A ten, a plane built around a gun. I will have to
- 33:46I will have to look it up. I've seen I've seen a couple of
- 33:51videos. And then I saw I think it was watching the First forty eight
- 33:54and they were tracking somebody and they released the dog and it's it is amazing,
- 34:02Like it's amazing to me how quickly like the people that they are released,
- 34:10like the in the in this episode of the First forty eight, when
- 34:13they released it, like the minute the dog left the side of that officer,
- 34:16that dude gave up, like it hadn't even gotten to him, and
- 34:20he's like already, like I'll give up. I'm like yeah, And like
- 34:22they didn't call they waited. I mean, they have to wait for it
- 34:25to secure the target. Uh so, but the guy gave up, they
- 34:30still didn't call it off just yet. Like it took it took the guy
- 34:34to the ground, and then they did very quickly. But like he saw
- 34:37the dog start, I'm like like the first stride coming at him and he
- 34:42was like, yep, we're done. Like there were there there were officers
- 34:45surrounding this guy with like guns drawn, and he was like if you guys,
- 34:49and I didn't do anything like all this stuff. And then that dog
- 34:52went and he's like yeah, I'm good, Like go ahead, tray.
- 34:58Oh it's amazing. I'll even watch sometimes they'll show the videos and it's just
- 35:01it's the dash cam yea, and a police card, it's got the dog,
- 35:06and then you know, it's just it's so locked in on you know
- 35:10it's officer. And then the minute you hear that buzz and that door deploys,
- 35:15that dog is just bit I mean, because they're basically just sitting there
- 35:17just wanting in on the action. I tell you right now, manufacturers and
- 35:23the design team at Ferrari watch these dogs and they are envious of how quickly
- 35:30they go from zero two hundred. So I'm gonna show you real quick.
- 35:35This is actually a quick comparison just pulled up on YouTube of what looks to
- 35:39be the first jet doing a test fire is either an F twenty two or
- 35:44an F thirty five. I can't quite see it because it's because of the
- 35:46angle, but it shows them firing its machine guns. And then and then
- 35:52you get to see a couple of action shots from the A ten ward Hog.
- 35:55And this is this is from this is a proof for release, an
- 36:00official something whatever. Uh this is titled. You just type in A ten
- 36:06and the suggestions will come up Burt b O R R T. So here
- 36:12you go. So the A ten says, Oh, that's cute, that's
- 36:23the A ten. That's a machine wow destroying a tent wow, Because it
- 36:36it is something ridiculous. I mean, like it just it sounds like it
- 36:44just sounds like a million ducks farting all at the same time. It just
- 36:46sounds like everything natural graphic when the lion has the ward hog, like when
- 36:52it's when it's got like the or the whatever it is, yeah, the
- 36:55like the wilderbeeste or whatever it is, and it's like it's got it like
- 37:00mouth around its neck and it's taken it down. Like that's like and I'm
- 37:05done, Like, that's just that's just the yell of death. That's what
- 37:07that is. That's a that's what that's sound is. The thing is though.
- 37:13The thing is, though, if you if if you're an enemy combatant
- 37:15and you hear that, yeah, that's it. Yeah, that's what I'm
- 37:17like. That's the that's that's the same as the dog coming at you like.
- 37:21That's when he just laid out and just fall I can give up.
- 37:23You just play possum and hope it works. Maybe if I pretend I'm dead,
- 37:29they won't kill me. You better, you better pray man. Anyway,
- 37:36back to the back to the escaped inmate who's now been caught by the
- 37:38fur missile. The old police officers were injured during the capture operation. That's
- 37:43according to law enforcement. The inmates escape on August thirty first prompted a massive
- 37:46man hunt involving hundreds of officers and put the world community of the cops and
- 37:52township on edge. Uh Cavalcanti was convicted of killing his ex girlfriend in twenty
- 37:59twenty one. He's also wanted in an earlier homicide case in his native Brazil.
- 38:06That's why he that's what prompted him to kill the girlfriend is she he
- 38:09told her that he had done it, and she was then gonna go to
- 38:14the authorities as a witness or yeah, as an informant flash witness to that
- 38:20murder. And that's what he he and he killed her in for god,
- 38:22I can't even imagine the horror. But he killed it in front of her
- 38:25kids. And so he was and I don't know if you've seen the escape,
- 38:30Uh, it's it's like side like walking up the wall like that is.
- 38:37I mean, it's like I did that as a kid in like my
- 38:38family's house. Like I would just like I would like, you know,
- 38:42spider crawl up the wall or whatever. And he just that he's a he's
- 38:45a tiny fellow. He's all of five foot tall. And there's that there's
- 38:49this one place and and apparently the sheriff's and the and the correctional officers at
- 38:53this prison had brought it up like that's like that specific part of that prison
- 39:00is has been giving them a lot of like like we have to do something
- 39:04about this because it is a point that you can breach, and he just
- 39:08kind of just crawls up it and then it's gone. I'm like that everybody
- 39:14in that prisons like for you know, for a couple of days, like,
- 39:16man, I wish I was five feet tall, look up for the
- 39:22little guys. That's exactly I mean. And and two weeks I think it
- 39:25is the longest anybody has been uh, look looking up. If I'm wrong,
- 39:31I think somebody reported to stay it's the longest anybody's gone that that many
- 39:37days consecutively without being caught. Eric Eric, I think like he was out
- 39:47on the run for months and months and months. But also I think that
- 39:52went on multiple states, so maybe, okay, that might be what it
- 39:55is. I feel like this is getting into sports stats where it's like,
- 39:58Okay, well, this guy's and on the has the record for the longest
- 40:01on the lamb. It's like, yeah, but but that was in one
- 40:05state, so and so from you know, New York as the one for
- 40:07multiple states, that's way more impressive. Yeah, well, but then you
- 40:10started doing the comparison, ok kind of like Jordan versus say, doctor j
- 40:14or Jordan versus Wilt Chamberlain. Who's the greatest of all time? It's hard
- 40:17to compare eras It's like, what's the greatest prison escape ever? Is it
- 40:21this guy? But is it same to compare prison escapes because the other guy
- 40:24escape from a totally different prison. It's not a fair comparison. Who was
- 40:29it? And this wasn't too long ago? And I was like, you
- 40:30know what, Okay, kind of it was kind of on board with this
- 40:35guy he broke out to uh and they found him at a diner like it
- 40:42like it wasn't like he was like hiding. He went to eat like he
- 40:47wouldn't. Got a burger and fries and like pie and like that's what they
- 40:51found him. And he's like the food sucks. Like that's like and even
- 40:55like even I think the wresting officers like you did all of this because that's
- 40:59how bad the food. And he's like yeah, and then the prison food,
- 41:02yeah, he's like the food was so bad. He's like he broke
- 41:05out and he's like that's the first place he went was a diner. And
- 41:07there's his face on TV and he's like, I just want to eat.
- 41:10That's all it was. And he didn't like he didn't resist the rest,
- 41:14he didn't do anything. They came and got him. He's like, all
- 41:16right, I'm full, we can go back now, like he just he
- 41:21just wanted one, just one more good meal. Yeah, I get.
- 41:23I'm like, well that, I'm like, yeah, you know, they're
- 41:25like I don't know what the you know, I've never been to prison,
- 41:30so I don't know how bad the food is. But that's what everybody complains
- 41:32about and this guy's like, I've had enough. Goddamn it, I'm getting
- 41:37a burger. Speaking of burger, Yeah, speaking of burger. I forgot
- 41:43to mention in birthdays that today is National double Cheeseburger Day. Oh yeah,
- 41:49okay celebrating it. It's National double Cheeseburger Day, not not singles cheezburger Day,
- 41:55but double cheeseburger Day. And because I was curious, I looked up,
- 42:00Well, if today's double cheeseburger Day, then that means there has to
- 42:04be just a regular single cheeseburger day. And there is that's later in September.
- 42:13Well, happy birthday to the double cheeseburger. I don't think it's the
- 42:16birthday. It's just whatever the idiots at the National whatever stuff come up with
- 42:21and vote on. Be like, all right, well today's National double Cheeseburger
- 42:23Day. Yeah, regular cheeseburger Day. Is this coming Monday the eighteenth?
- 42:30Celebrate accordingly, double and singles alike? Gotcha? But yeah, this is
- 42:35I mean, I guess that's how bad the prison food is. This guy
- 42:37was like, you know what, armed guards and towers and barbed wire.
- 42:43I'll risk it. I'll see what I can do, But I'm getting So
- 42:45if you guys were in prison and you decided the food sucks, I need
- 42:50to escape for one meal. What is it you're going to get before being
- 42:53caught and sent back? I mean I would have to go with like a
- 42:58butter chicken with non and right, because I know I'm not getting Indian food
- 43:01in in Brison, That's true. I know. I don't think they will
- 43:06allow the spices that make it because that could take over the prison. Well,
- 43:09not only that, they just rub that on the bars and it melts
- 43:13it within a few hours. Like you can just cook and everybody's eyes will
- 43:17start watering. You can escape, you can escape weekly if you want to.
- 43:21Actually, maybe there is, maybe there is Indian food in prison.
- 43:23It's just at the disposal of the riot response team the riot that's why.
- 43:30That's why they have riots and the pepper sprays where the Indian inmates can just
- 43:34get some of that pepper spray and put it on their food. Yeah,
- 43:36it's not amaze or anything like that. It's just massala. It does work,
- 43:45U, that's I mean I would go for I would go for I
- 43:47would go for Indian foods, like, yeah, it would have to be
- 43:53Mexican food. With some places had chips and salsa and then you know,
- 43:57get a plate of enchiladas or something like that. Like just you don't think
- 44:01they would do like a chips and like don't they have like a thing where
- 44:04you can like a place where you can go buy food from the well they
- 44:07have a commissary. But I don't know. I don't know if they have
- 44:09chips and salsa and yeas and stuff. I don't know if you're gonna get
- 44:13the bob arm strong dip you know, can you get a bob or a
- 44:20very strong arm and you might get dipped, but you're not gonna get all
- 44:25three at once. On the end of the chip. You're gonna be somebody
- 44:29salsa. It's so it's so romantic sometimes in prison where one in mate says
- 44:36to the other, you're the salsa to my to my little chip. But
- 44:43can't can't people bring you I don't know, I don't know how it works.
- 44:45Can people bring you things? Like I think they can? And that's
- 44:49where the gag and cartoon started, where you bring it and made a cake
- 44:52and inside of it as a file. Oh okay, gotcha? Okay?
- 44:55Like I didn't know if like they could bring you food and so maybe be
- 45:00you can like, no, but I will. Nobody's bringing me like chicken
- 45:05berry honey. Like no, nobody's bringing that in. It wouldn't allow it,
- 45:07Yeah, not to be too dangerous. Well. And then on top
- 45:10of that, though, I mean, the ironic thing is is I know
- 45:14a few people in prison, but I don't feel like visiting them, and
- 45:22if I'm going to bring them anything to eat, and it ain't gonna be
- 45:23food. Yeah, I do remember when when I got uh arrested dropping Dan
- 45:37off at home. I was I was detained, as as they later said,
- 45:43I wasn't arrested. I was detained. Uh didn't you go to loose
- 45:46Starrett? Did that feels more than being I went to the loose Starrett.
- 45:52I asked for a breathalyzer multiple times and they said no, that they didn't
- 45:55have one handy, which I thought was hilarious. Uh. And but there
- 45:59there were people discussing the word commissary. That's would reminded me that there were
- 46:04people that were amongst themselves. I was just listening to other people while I
- 46:07was waiting to get sprung. We're discussing who has the best commissary and apparently
- 46:15for anybody listening that is on their way to jail. You want to get
- 46:21arrested in fort Worth because they have the good ice cream and the twenty ounce
- 46:25drinks in the commissary there and whatever the main So are you trying to tell
- 46:30me the ice cream machine works at the fort Worth jail but not at McDonald's.
- 46:36Yes, visit us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com eight three three.
- 46:57Cook DFW was the phone number you will need to contact Daniel Cook from Cook
- 47:00DFW Roofing and Restoration who joins us now in the Treehouse Daniel Cook. My
- 47:05question for you today, Daniel is timing. It's about timing. Is the
- 47:08timing important to file a claim with the insurance company if you have an issue
- 47:14with the roof and it's super important. So you know, as we are
- 47:17here in the metroplex, we get some very big storms that come through and
- 47:21if a storm gets to a certain size, they call them what's called a
- 47:23catastrophe team or a cat team, and those adjusters or task with trying to
- 47:28get to as many people as fast as possible. They're going to try to
- 47:30err on the side of the customer. They're there to try to assess that
- 47:35damage as fast as possible. They're very a lot more lenient and they try
- 47:38to get those checks in those customers hands. Now, when you wait six
- 47:43seven, eight months after that event, then you're going to get an adjuster
- 47:45that maybe daven know about that event, or maybe we're stationed somewhere else in
- 47:49the country, and so then it just prolongs the amount of eye and an
- 47:53experience that that adjuster is having looking at your property. So it's very important
- 47:58let's get those claims called in as soon as occur, and especially if you
- 48:00have a super large claim. So don't wait after an event like Daniels saying,
- 48:05to contact your insurance company, and the very next call you make,
- 48:08or even the call right before the insurance company should be to Cook DFW Roofing
- 48:14and Restorations so they can be there to walk their property and the roof with
- 48:16your adjuster to make sure you are absolutely covered top to bottom. Eight three

- 48:39of plumbing, Jackline, I'm curious when we were selling our house in Carrollton,
- 48:44we had our prospective buyers. They wanted us to have a plumber come
- 48:46out and fix what they thought was a sync in the master bathroom wasn't coming
- 48:53out with enough water pressure. I have a for those of you who like
- 48:57to watch the podcast, made the most lewed hand gesture at Dan a couple
- 49:00of seconds ago. It was the okay hand gesture with the circle and the
- 49:06finger. And what I was explaining was that in most faucets, you don't
- 49:09have it in a tub spout, but in most faucets you have what's called
- 49:13an air rator, which is that little mesh guard that before the water comes
- 49:17out, the water runs through it. And sometimes depending on how old your
- 49:21system is, if you've had a leak repaired, if you've got a really
- 49:22old water heater that's got sediment in it, it'll just catch gunk and it
- 49:27can restrict the flow of water. So you'll notice that you're getting cold water
- 49:30fine, you're getting hot water fine, You're just not getting a lot of
- 49:34it. And most times if you have a plumber come install a new faucet.
- 49:37They give you these little keys that are specifically made to pull that air
- 49:42rator out. And the first time I ever saw one, I looked at
- 49:44it like, what the hell is this? And I threw it away like
- 49:46a ding dong. But you know, so there's a lot of things that
- 49:50you might think are totally normal. Oh my, the faucet itself is corroding.
- 49:53It's got some some plaque build up for lack of better terminology. And
- 49:57that might be true, but sometimes some things are so easy to fix.
- 50:00So I mean, yeah, going back to the real estate thing, if
- 50:01you're going to sell a house and it's a minor problem, email me the
- 50:05inspection report and I'll tell you what you can do and what I can do
- 50:08to save you some money. So I had a friend of mine in high
- 50:13school, and what she did is she actually took my air raider out of
- 50:16my kitchen kitchen sink faucet and use that to make herself a pipe to smoke
- 50:23weed on the way to school. Oh yeah, I remember you talking about
- 50:27that. With your marvelous house centers. Were you missing Have you checked your

- 51:22are single complicated? So Raj is in It's complicated. Well, if you
- 51:30want to uncomplicate things, there is a woman in New York who made headlines
- 51:37recently for her display in looking for a husband. I think this is gonna
- 51:44be for Trey. I can already see him light up. He's like,
- 51:52is this bitch crazy? She has to be to go public with this.
- 51:57Yeah, I'm so glad that our cameras are from the chest up. I've
- 52:05known Tree for many years where there's some things I just don't want to see
- 52:09other than you being happy. So in that case, pay attention. A
- 52:13woman has made waves on social media after she posted a video of herself walking
- 52:16around the streets of New York City with a sign that said looking for a
- 52:20husband. Her name is Carolina Gits or Geets I'll know. She's a twenty
- 52:24nine year old living in New York City who recently went through the streets holding
- 52:29the sign. Holding the self made cardboard sign signifying her wishes looking for a
- 52:34husband. She said during an interview that was having a discussion with friends that
- 52:39dating apps were not working because it takes a long time to chat. As
- 52:44joke, I said that I'll go outside with a sign, and next day
- 52:50she did just that. She took a cardboard box she received in the mail,
- 52:52ripped off a piece of it, wrote the words looking for a husband,
- 52:54and took to the streets. The TikTok video of her moment now has
- 53:00are ten million views one point two million likes since it was posted on September
- 53:02three. The influencer and model, said it was funny to her to see
- 53:07the response from people passing by, and she said she was actually shocked by
- 53:10how many people supported the action. Okay, interesting, Uh, she said
- 53:19people are sending her their dating profiles for review, although she said she's still
- 53:23looking for the best. This tray on his phone trying to figure out what
- 53:32this what this woman looks like? I will, I will send you on
- 53:37link my friend. Oh, thank you? Yeah, you should send you
- 53:42should send your profile in Uh, somebody needs to send a profiler to this
- 53:47lady. But uh, because because you know, that's just crazy. If
- 53:52she didn't find one on the streets in New York, I'm gonna guess she's
- 53:53fairly hideous. It's hard to tell. So I've seen two photos. Was
- 54:00in the news story that I sent you, Trey and the sign or in
- 54:02one photo where she's holding the sign looking for a husband, and of course,
- 54:07like people do these days, it contains her social media handle. She's
- 54:13wearing a white men's dress shirt with only one button button with her arms up
- 54:19therefore it's exposing her middrift short cut off denim shorts and what looks like cowboy
- 54:28Go Go boots all right, m I liked the I mean, I don't
- 54:35know. Can we pull up a picture, but I don't know what I
- 54:37like the out the outfit looks, it sounds a sounds appealing. That's one
- 54:40of them, but I guess there was another one also another photo with the
- 54:45same sign, So I don't know if she did if she did a wardrobe
- 54:47change and went to another location or is this is this like it started getting
- 54:52popular. So a stylist popped in and crazy, you can just tell right
- 55:00up my alley, I sent you the link. Crush, Okay, I
- 55:08amage searched her. Yeah no, she's she's hot enough and she's definitely crazy
- 55:14hot enough. Well, you know the crazy hot matrix. I might go
- 55:17a little heavy on the crazy. Other times you might go a little heavy
- 55:23on the hot and a little less crazy. Yeah no, actually no,
- 55:28I've never figured that one out. Crazy hot matrix always leans to the crazy.
- 55:32Yeah, it's it's got a permanent list to one side. You're just
- 55:37happy to know that she's moving the crazy needle. I didn't get the link,
- 55:42but I will look her up. Oh yeah, that's perfect for you,
- 55:45buddy. Yeah, yeah, she has the sunglasses on to hide the
- 55:47crazy eyes. Yeah yeah, yeah, but Tray can see behind those I
- 55:52can see through that disguise. I can see into her soul. If we
- 56:01come back on Monday, it is like, hey, man got married.
- 56:07That we won't even need the full explanation because we'll already know. If you
- 56:14check in on Facebook the New York City, I'm mikey Founder. They say
