- 0:54Speaker 1: What a difference a week could make the somber energy
- 0:58Speaker 1: that was on this program. We put on good faces
- 1:02Speaker 1: with the negativity that existed on this program when we
- 1:07Speaker 1: recorded it interpersonally last week, compared to how we're feeling
- 1:11Speaker 1: after the Thundersmack we put on the Bengals.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It is good joining me.
- 1:17Speaker 1: As always, the great Chad Daniels. Hey, are teams going
- 1:21Speaker 1: to Europe?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Baby? They're in Dublin.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 1:24Speaker 2: They are in Dublin.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Our producer Jay sent me a message of one of
- 1:29Speaker 1: his Buddies who's landed there for the game already. He's
- 1:33Speaker 1: taken the vacation into the game. And there is a
- 1:35Speaker 1: giant sign up on a building there that shows a
- 1:39Speaker 1: picture of a cartoon Vikings football player and it says,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the last time the Vikings landed in Dublin, they literally
- 1:49Speaker 1: conquered the place.
- 1:50Speaker 2: No pressure, lads.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh, I like that.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It's great.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It's also like a tip of the cat, like, hey,
- 1:56Speaker 3: remember when this happened. Let's let's let's keep history alive.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I just feel good.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I feel that that win last week gives us something
- 2:05Speaker 1: to really build upon, at least in this show, because
- 2:08Speaker 1: you and I I think as a duo we can't
- 2:11Speaker 1: handle consecutive weeks of large negativity.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That will never be good for us.
- 2:16Speaker 3: No, it won't. And I'm going to tell you something.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I was at the game, and I know that we
- 2:21Speaker 3: are not a review show, but I need to tell
- 2:23Speaker 3: you something. I need to tell you something. Isaiah Rogers
- 2:27Speaker 3: obviously huge game, first player in NFL history to return
- 2:31Speaker 3: two touchdowns and have two force fumbles. First ever. You
- 2:36Speaker 3: know what my favorite thing about athletes is, it's when
- 2:38Speaker 3: they use their popularity and to like to they spread
- 2:44Speaker 3: it out to the fans. Before the game, Isaiah Rodgers
- 2:47Speaker 3: is down in the end zone play and catch with
- 2:50Speaker 3: people in the stands with little kids, and they're throwing
- 2:53Speaker 3: it back to him, and I was like, you know what,
- 2:56Speaker 3: that is awesome. That's what it is about for me.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And and then this dude has a day.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It was.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It was so fun, such a great like little bow
- 3:06Speaker 3: on the package. Fantastic.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I I just and and now if it could give
- 3:10Speaker 1: us something to build on as we have to play
- 3:13Speaker 1: a team. We have to play a team that people
- 3:17Speaker 1: refer to themselves as the fans refer to themselves as
- 3:21Speaker 1: something called a yinser, which sounds sounds like a well,
- 3:26Speaker 1: let's not get into it. It sounds like it sounds
- 3:28Speaker 1: like some sort of terrible drink at an awful party.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Well, I think the beer is yingling from from Pennsylvania.
- 3:35Speaker 2: That's where it comes from.
- 3:36Speaker 3: You must have something to do with that same same
- 3:38Speaker 3: pre do you think I think Pittsburgh.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm not gonna hammer on Pittsburgh here, because I do
- 3:43Speaker 1: think Pittsburgh has become like a secretly cool There's a
- 3:45Speaker 1: few cities that, yeah, have become secretly cool art towns.
- 3:50Speaker 1: You know, it used to be Ashville and Austin and
- 3:53Speaker 1: places like that, and then they got overrun and all
- 3:55Speaker 1: the artists who couldn't live in those places anymore went
- 3:58Speaker 1: to like Detroit and Pittsburg. So Pittsburgh's a cool city.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I will say this is not an exaggeration. It rains
- 4:05Speaker 1: there more than Seattle, which is wild. And they are
- 4:11Speaker 1: a We have a lot of friends who are Steeler fans,
- 4:15Speaker 1: just randomly, and they are They can be a tough
- 4:18Speaker 1: people to love. They've had a lot of success as fans,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and they can they carry with them. One of our
- 4:26Speaker 1: closest friends, Justin, who is trying everything in his power
- 4:30Speaker 1: to get rid of Mike Tomlin despite not understanding like
- 4:35Speaker 1: there's a bit of spoiled today. I would say the
- 4:39Speaker 1: Steelers fans. Although I like the Steelers, I like their team,
- 4:43Speaker 1: their fans talk to you a little bit the way
- 4:47Speaker 1: Green Bay Packer fans talk to you.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That's what it feels like.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Yeah, because the Steelers third team to win five Super Bowls,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and so they know it. They have this pedigree and
- 4:58Speaker 3: they will they will talk to They will remind you,
- 5:01Speaker 3: no matter how long ago it was, they will remind
- 5:05Speaker 3: you that they have some Super Bowl wins, and it
- 5:10Speaker 3: is annoying and people are like, well, we don't like Tomlin,
- 5:12Speaker 3: we want him out of there.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I don't know it people that were I understand it's
- 5:18Speaker 1: working out with Jordan Love, but it's like the people
- 5:20Speaker 1: who were pushing Aaron Rodgers out the door, like, get
- 5:22Speaker 1: him out of here, let's get the next guy in here.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's like, you haven't sat through what anyone else's like.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I think the Steelers have had. I could be incorrect
- 5:31Speaker 1: about this. Jay could could tell me if I'm wrong here,
- 5:34Speaker 1: but I believe they've only had three head coaches. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: think it was Chuck Nole, great name, Bill Cower, all
- 5:41Speaker 1: time chin, like.
- 5:43Speaker 2: If we're talking like football chins.
- 5:48Speaker 1: When you put that guy, he's the only one on
- 5:50Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore, an excellent looking, excellent looking football coach.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And knocked unconscious. He's never been knocking.
- 5:57Speaker 1: No chance that you you punch him in the chin
- 6:01Speaker 1: and your hand falls unconscious, it just flops back the
- 6:04Speaker 1: other one, Yes, exactly. Uh. And then it's it's mikey
- 6:07Speaker 1: T Mike Tomlin, which you and I are enormous fans
- 6:12Speaker 1: of Mike Tomlin.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he's a fantastic head coach, knows what
- 6:15Speaker 3: he's doing, brings in the right players, I mean kind of.
- 6:19Speaker 3: And uh, you know, Dk Metcalf, what a brilliant move
- 6:23Speaker 3: where you go, Hey, you thought it rained a lot
- 6:25Speaker 3: in Seattle. Come here for a sec. I'm gonna show
- 6:27Speaker 3: you something.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You're gonna love it In Pittsburgh. There's no chance it
- 6:29Speaker 1: could rain more here. Uh. And I I gotta tell you,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I've always despite having all those Steeler fan friends, I've
- 6:38Speaker 1: always had an admiration because I as a kid, and
- 6:41Speaker 1: you had to too, being you know, a little a
- 6:44Speaker 1: little ball of I might say energy dough.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Sure like, because we like Kirby.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I like athletes that don't look exactly right where you're like,
- 6:54Speaker 1: how did Kirby Pucket? You know, Kirby Pucket was just
- 6:59Speaker 1: this short, stout, little machine full of legs that didn't
- 7:03Speaker 1: look like he should be the best of the best.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And Jerome bettis, dude, just this just this rumbling, stumbling, bohemoth, bohemoth, yikes,
- 7:17Speaker 1: behemoth of a man.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Uh. Jerome bettis actually I mean I remember growing up
- 7:26Speaker 3: and all the kids that were big that wanted to
- 7:30Speaker 3: be in sports. He gave them that chance.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Because he was an alignment, right, exactly, a huge dude
- 7:38Speaker 1: who is just trucking people as one of the best
- 7:40Speaker 1: running backs of all time.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 1: One of one of my friends, who is a giant
- 7:46Speaker 1: Steelers fan, was the producer of the TV show that
- 7:52Speaker 1: I created in la that failed, but we still got
- 7:56Speaker 1: to make it. And he produced a lot of TV shows.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And he had still it feels like bragging. This still
- 8:01Speaker 3: feels like bragging.
- 8:02Speaker 2: He had a lot.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You were I asked you to be on the show
- 8:05Speaker 1: and you chose to go on a Mexican vacation. It's
- 8:08Speaker 1: not my fault.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Got to take care of yourself before you take care
- 8:11Speaker 3: of others.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So I he develops a lot of shows, and as
- 8:16Speaker 1: a Steeler fan, he got to develop a pilot with
- 8:20Speaker 1: Jerome Bettis and he said, first of all, he said,
- 8:24Speaker 1: Jerome Bettis was like the coolest guy, but what the
- 8:26Speaker 1: show was, it was Jerome Bettis would pick up teams
- 8:31Speaker 1: of fans, like a team of two, and they'd like
- 8:33Speaker 1: the great Race and they'd all get on a bus
- 8:35Speaker 1: that Jerome Bettis was driving and then they'd drive around
- 8:39Speaker 1: the city they were in doing different competitions and at
- 8:42Speaker 1: every stop, one the team that came in last place
- 8:45Speaker 1: on that challenge is kicked off the bus like Survivor
- 8:48Speaker 1: until the very last challenge leads them to the stadium
- 8:52Speaker 1: where the winning team gets to sit like front row center,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know, fifty yard line.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Excellent, excellent show. Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Do you ever hear about a show and you go,
- 9:03Speaker 3: how come that one didn't get on? And then and
- 9:06Speaker 3: then now I'm watching this show?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yes, how Yeah, I don't understand how with all the
- 9:12Speaker 1: things that I watch when I watch TV, that you
- 9:15Speaker 1: wouldn't put Jerome Bettis's bust Challenge on TV.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah, put the contestants in swimsuits. That gets sold in
- 9:23Speaker 3: one second.
- 9:25Speaker 1: One of my other favorite things about the Steelers is
- 9:28Speaker 1: I like, I like, you know, we're so used to
- 9:30Speaker 1: the modern NFL where everything is it's it's year round,
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's every minute, the media business, the actual football, it's
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's this huge monster. But I you know, the Steelers
- 9:42Speaker 1: are one of the iconic franchises of the past, and
- 9:45Speaker 1: there was a time I think when the Vikings joined,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I think they were the fourteenth team to join the NFL.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I could be wrong about that, but so there was
- 9:54Speaker 1: a time when there were less teams and you know,
- 9:58Speaker 1: and even you go back before for that, before even
- 10:01Speaker 1: the Super Bowl era. So the Steelers have been around forever.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But much like much like many things, during the era
- 10:11Speaker 1: of World War Two, football changed and they had to
- 10:16Speaker 1: a lot of the guys were like war age because
- 10:19Speaker 1: they were football players.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, And so they had to figure out a
- 10:25Speaker 2: way to keep the leagues going.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And one of the things they did was they combined teams,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and in forty three they combined the Eagles and the
- 10:33Speaker 1: Steelers into a team that they called the Steegles.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Which hates that so much?
- 10:40Speaker 1: You do you hate it? I think it's my favorite
- 10:42Speaker 1: all time NFL trivia fact, the Stiegles. They're in in
- 10:48Speaker 1: nineteen ninety six, This is this is one of the
- 10:53Speaker 1: you ever remember those TV shows America's Dumbest Criminals.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I sure do, great show. I think they should have
- 11:00Speaker 2: done it.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I think they did later years as a panel where
- 11:03Speaker 1: they had comedians on talking about it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah. So this is this is an all time one
- 11:10Speaker 2: of those moments.
- 11:10Speaker 1: So in nineteen ninety six, the Steelers were having a
- 11:16Speaker 1: halftime field goal kicking contest, which I don't feel like
- 11:19Speaker 1: that happens anymore. Is is that a thing of yesteryear.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I mean, it happens on college game day. I don't
- 11:24Speaker 3: know if it happens in pro football game.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Definitely still happens in NBA games. They bring up there's
- 11:30Speaker 1: so many breaks, but yeah, I don't think they're just
- 11:32Speaker 1: putting random humans on those I mean, there's so much
- 11:36Speaker 1: effort that's put into those fields and then you just
- 11:39Speaker 1: let you know, somebody's brother in law onto the fields.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I couldn't did it to be fair. Yesterday at the
- 11:44Speaker 3: Vikings game, they had a Corgi race and I was like,
- 11:46Speaker 3: who's going to get tackled in poop? I don't know.
- 11:49Speaker 1: So they're doing a they're doing a halftime field goal
- 11:55Speaker 1: kicking contest and this guy named Alan Adams, he gets selected.
- 12:01Speaker 1: He comes down to kick. But here is the thing.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Alan Adams had a warrant out for his arrest for
- 12:10Speaker 1: skipping bail. Oh what a ding dong dude, And it
- 12:19Speaker 1: was it was from four years before that, it was nine.
- 12:24Speaker 2: He had a four year old warrant.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And so he's selected, he goes down and he's gonna
- 12:30Speaker 1: kick at halftime in this years game. And here's a
- 12:33Speaker 1: credit to him. He didn't even think about it. He's like, dude,
- 12:35Speaker 1: what am I gonna not kick at halftime? What are
- 12:39Speaker 1: you crazy? A police officer working security at the game
- 12:42Speaker 1: recognizes his name when it was announced, and he cross
- 12:46Speaker 1: references the name confirms it's the guy. They arrest him
- 12:49Speaker 1: as he's leaving the field. And this is my favorite
- 12:53Speaker 1: thing I read. There was just a sentence in the
- 12:55Speaker 1: summary of it I read that just said he reportedly
- 12:59Speaker 1: did not make any of his kicks.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's some good smack talk. I mean, how do
- 13:05Speaker 3: you not grow a beard in four years when you're wanted?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Come on, right, dude, Oh you're not going by by
- 13:12Speaker 1: Ryan Adams or something else, like you're you're you're on
- 13:15Speaker 1: the run and you made no effort. You're going to
- 13:18Speaker 1: NFL games kicking at halftime with the same face, same hair,
- 13:22Speaker 1: same name.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Come on, man.
- 13:24Speaker 1: He did try to claim as he was being hauled
- 13:27Speaker 1: away that that he was It was the same name,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but different. Person's like, oh, I'm not that Alan Adams.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm a definite, I'm definitely a different Alan Adams.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Now.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I so let's let's let's shift. Let's talk about the game.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I think the NFL is a week to week league.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And you know, the previous performance against Cincinnati breathes a
- 13:53Speaker 1: different sort of life into the team. That puts, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: don't want to say pressure on this game, but puts
- 13:58Speaker 1: a lot of excitement and potential into this game.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Right, I agree with that. Yeah, I think the defense
- 14:03Speaker 3: is going to have to keep it. And that's one
- 14:04Speaker 3: of my that's my prediction this week. It has to
- 14:08Speaker 3: do with the defense because I think that they they
- 14:11Speaker 3: put on an absolute show. Yeah, and that and that
- 14:17Speaker 3: gives Carson Wentz and the rest of the offense a
- 14:21Speaker 3: chance to take a deep breath when there's a three
- 14:24Speaker 3: and out or whatever, they can go, hey, they have us,
- 14:29Speaker 3: we'll go back out and we'll do something next time
- 14:31Speaker 3: instead of everything being so high pressure. Plus you throw
- 14:35Speaker 3: Addison back into this mix. I think it's going to
- 14:37Speaker 3: get wild.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Dude, And I think that's I wonder what percentage of effect? Right,
- 14:46Speaker 1: because the Christian dearI saw thing you were at the
- 14:48Speaker 1: game that was it breaks the percentage meter exactly the
- 14:55Speaker 1: percentage of effect that dude had over what was going on.
- 15:00Speaker 1: And in no coincidence, Jordan Mason just runs right behind
- 15:03Speaker 1: him for it literally an entire game. It was comical
- 15:08Speaker 1: So my question is what is that percentage of effect
- 15:14Speaker 1: with Jordan Addison coming back? Because I think in the
- 15:18Speaker 1: NFL that it's all a percentage game, right. I talked
- 15:21Speaker 1: about the salary cap a lot, where it's a math
- 15:23Speaker 1: equation how much can you get out of what you're
- 15:26Speaker 1: allowed to pay? So if that's why having a rookie quarterback,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know, a talented rookie quarterback who can overperform his deal.
- 15:32Speaker 1: But now you know, with Hawkinson coming alive and feeling
- 15:37Speaker 1: being here, if Addison comes back and takes a like
- 15:41Speaker 1: not only comes back, but takes a step forward, which
- 15:44Speaker 1: is really fair to expect in a year three for
- 15:47Speaker 1: a dude like that, I don't know that the level
- 15:50Speaker 1: of percentage gain that could cause and the trickle down
- 15:53Speaker 1: effect it could have on everything we.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Do across the board is wild.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think it completely not to be dramatic, but it
- 16:02Speaker 1: completely changes the way you have to prepare for the
- 16:05Speaker 1: offense because Jalen Naylor can get like, he can get deep,
- 16:08Speaker 1: he can get behind people, and then you're gonna have
- 16:10Speaker 1: Addison a guy who can do that but can also
- 16:12Speaker 1: run routes like It's crazy.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I could.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I think what it's gonna bring is it's gonna bring
- 16:17Speaker 3: more time for whoever is at the quarterback position because
- 16:21Speaker 3: they're they're gonna line up seven, but they're gonna have
- 16:24Speaker 3: to drop guys back because there is no way they
- 16:27Speaker 3: can go single There's there's three people that they're not
- 16:31Speaker 3: going to be able to go single coverage, and if
- 16:34Speaker 3: they do, they're gonna get worn down throughout the game
- 16:37Speaker 3: and they're gonna get burned.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Big Wentz opportunity here in the land of Red Hair.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Like, dude, welcome home, dude, Hey Carlon, welcome, Welcome home brother.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Home game, brother.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Go out there and be the king of the Red Hair. Yeah, dude,
- 16:53Speaker 1: here's the thing, all time nickname in the history of sports,
- 16:56Speaker 1: the red Rifle, Andy Dalton take it. Take it, yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 1: take it from him. Become the new red Rifle and
- 17:05Speaker 1: do it in Ireland.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And also introduce yourself as Catterson Wentz. You have to
- 17:12Speaker 3: You're home immediately.
- 17:13Speaker 2: You absolutely have to.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I on the other side of the ball.
- 17:19Speaker 2: You know, we saw him with the Jets.
- 17:21Speaker 1: It's very weird to see Aaron Rodgers in different uniforms and.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I just.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You got to think this is basically the last time
- 17:32Speaker 1: you see him, and for a dude who tormented the
- 17:34Speaker 1: team for as many years as he did, to get
- 17:38Speaker 1: him the way we got him against the Jets, if
- 17:40Speaker 1: you could get him again against the Steelers, and at
- 17:43Speaker 1: least I don't want that moment where he gets us
- 17:46Speaker 1: one more time. I want him to have had his
- 17:48Speaker 1: run in Green Bay. And towards the end we were
- 17:51Speaker 1: really coming around and making it difficult because I think
- 17:54Speaker 1: his last year there we put it on him too,
- 17:56Speaker 1: so to Pete to let that the Barn Rodgers thing
- 18:00Speaker 1: peter out, because the Rogers thing doesn't feel like the
- 18:03Speaker 1: Farb thing to meet. Right, you watch Farb play, he
- 18:05Speaker 1: was like fun to watch and so you were jealous.
- 18:08Speaker 1: The Rogers thing was more like, I don't want this
- 18:11Speaker 1: guy to succeed. So I really don't want him to
- 18:16Speaker 1: bite us in the ass and have a you know,
- 18:19Speaker 1: because he's playing well. I really don't want that throwback
- 18:23Speaker 1: vintage Rogers game in double Yeah.
- 18:25Speaker 3: The Vikings should have huge confidence going into this, just
- 18:28Speaker 3: what they've done the last few times they've faced him.
- 18:30Speaker 3: And you know you said that he tormented a team.
- 18:33Speaker 3: I mean he tormented the fans as well. I spent
- 18:36Speaker 3: a lot of time calling the front office at Lambeau
- 18:39Speaker 3: asking if I could fight him for charity. And I
- 18:41Speaker 3: know he would knock my head off my shoulders because
- 18:45Speaker 3: that's the hip speed you need to throw a football
- 18:47Speaker 3: seventy yards. But I was willing to do it for
- 18:49Speaker 3: the kids and maybe one crack at getting him. So
- 18:53Speaker 3: I am excited for the Vikes to go in with confidence.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I think that they've seen it, they know it, and
- 19:02Speaker 3: I really, really I'm confident, and by the way, I'm
- 19:07Speaker 3: confident they're going to shut them down now.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I so first team. I believe we're the first team
- 19:13Speaker 1: to play Jake and text me if I'm wrong. I
- 19:14Speaker 1: believe we're the first team to do the back to
- 19:16Speaker 1: back week thing. I think that's very interesting. Have you
- 19:21Speaker 1: you were gonna go on a European vacation that then
- 19:24Speaker 1: got canceled, right, and so did that cross over with this?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Have you ever considered I don't think. I don't think
- 19:33Speaker 1: I do well on the NFL. I have a lot
- 19:35Speaker 1: of friends who are going. I think I'm too insane
- 19:38Speaker 1: of a fan to put me in a foreign country
- 19:42Speaker 1: rooting for me, because I when I go to the
- 19:45Speaker 1: stadium and I have to take the twenty thirty minute
- 19:47Speaker 1: drive home. If the game didn't go the way I want,
- 19:50Speaker 1: that sucks for everybody. You're gonna put me in Europe,
- 19:53Speaker 1: that's a big risk. I think I'm too cocky. If
- 19:56Speaker 1: we win in Europe, nobody's gonna love that. I think
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm at the pub running mouth. And if it doesn't go, well, dude,
- 20:04Speaker 1: that's a tough plane ride for everybody around me. I'm
- 20:07Speaker 1: not I don't think I'm the quality of fan. I'm
- 20:10Speaker 1: so pumped for everybody that's going, but I don't think
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'm the quality of fan that they want with them.
- 20:15Speaker 3: There's for two weeks no question that you're not the
- 20:18Speaker 3: quality of fan they want with them. Americans are really
- 20:21Speaker 3: loved overseas right now anyway, So you get over there
- 20:23Speaker 3: and talk crap about this game, it's not gonna go great.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I was so disappointed when I saw the schedule because
- 20:31Speaker 3: I was booked both weeks already to work, and then
- 20:34Speaker 3: I was gonna miss them. I was gonna be in
- 20:37Speaker 3: Germany October eighth through the sixteenth, and so I was
- 20:39Speaker 3: gonna miss them no matter what. But I am jazzed
- 20:43Speaker 3: up to go watch them the next time because I
- 20:45Speaker 3: will be there because I love the idea of just
- 20:48Speaker 3: going over getting to watch your favorite team and then
- 20:52Speaker 3: also you're on vacation. I mean, I think it's terrific.
- 20:57Speaker 3: And guess what, Vike's win and Dublin runs out of guinness.
- 21:02Speaker 3: That's one of my predictions.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's I wonder, I wonder how many when
- 21:10Speaker 1: it's all said and done, because this will be the
- 21:12Speaker 1: two back to back weeks. I wonder what the numbers
- 21:15Speaker 1: of fans that'll actually be over there, and it'll be
- 21:18Speaker 1: It'll be really interesting to see. You know, London has
- 21:20Speaker 1: had the thing going on forever and ever and ever,
- 21:23Speaker 1: just to see the excitement in the stadium. And I'm
- 21:28Speaker 1: always fascinated because the Vikings and the Steelers are both
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know, Steelers longer, but they're both early franchises, so
- 21:36Speaker 1: they've been around a really long time. So if you're
- 21:39Speaker 1: somebody over there who did I would assume it's going
- 21:43Speaker 1: to skew of the people who come there. You know,
- 21:45Speaker 1: it's funny when you see a game in Mexico or
- 21:48Speaker 1: Brazil or Europe and it's just like every guy wears
- 21:52Speaker 1: his own jersey. It's just Americans over there, like dude
- 21:55Speaker 1: shown up in his Niners jersey because he's not going
- 21:57Speaker 1: to get a chance to see the Niners. But it
- 21:59Speaker 1: will surprise me, given the Steeler history and success, if
- 22:04Speaker 1: it skewed Steeler in terms of the people in Europe
- 22:09Speaker 1: who travel to the game, Well.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I think the I think if you're going just Dublin,
- 22:14Speaker 3: I mean Dublin is it seems more like Pittsburgh. It
- 22:18Speaker 3: seems like this bluey, blue collar rainy. So I wouldn't
- 22:25Speaker 3: be surprised if it if it leans a little towards
- 22:28Speaker 3: the Steelers. But listen, I don't I don't think fanship
- 22:31Speaker 3: here is going to matter. It's going to be guys
- 22:33Speaker 3: getting there, staying up as late as they can the
- 22:36Speaker 3: first day to get through the jet lag, and then
- 22:39Speaker 3: just making it happen.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I love that you're with all the effort and intention
- 22:44Speaker 1: behind sports science in today's day and age. I love
- 22:48Speaker 1: that you in your brain what you think is going
- 22:50Speaker 1: to happen is what happens for you on a commercial
- 22:53Speaker 1: flight to Europe.
- 22:54Speaker 3: There's no question.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I love that.
- 22:55Speaker 3: There's no question. Hey guys, if you're listening, stay up late,
- 22:59Speaker 3: you're welcome.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Let's do predictions.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Game prediction and by the way, we got our Jordan
- 23:06Speaker 1: Mason game. You and I have been on it for
- 23:08Speaker 1: two weeks. We got a Jordan Mason game, we got
- 23:11Speaker 1: a Hockinson breakout game.
- 23:13Speaker 2: So let's go.
- 23:14Speaker 1: We'll do Steelers Vikings in Dublin. Let's do score prediction,
- 23:19Speaker 1: player prediction and chad prediction.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna go score prediction, and no one's gonna
- 23:26Speaker 3: like this because it sounds unrealistic, but I'm gonna go
- 23:30Speaker 3: fifty five twenty one vikings, fifty twenty one vikings my
- 23:38Speaker 3: player prediction. I was lucky enough when I did initials
- 23:43Speaker 3: on the morning show on k Fan, I got to
- 23:45Speaker 3: talk to Josh Mattelis because I was talking to him
- 23:49Speaker 3: about how he's had this game circled on his calendar
- 23:52Speaker 3: since the schedule came out because Rogers got one on
- 23:58Speaker 3: him last time they played. And so I am with
- 24:01Speaker 3: Josh Mattelis. I am supporting forty four and I say,
- 24:06Speaker 3: at least an interception. I don't know if he's going
- 24:08Speaker 3: to bring it back, but I'm gonna say at least
- 24:10Speaker 3: a pick. And my chad prediction is somebody is going
- 24:16Speaker 3: to bring me back a bottle of whiskey and maybe
- 24:19Speaker 3: I start drinking again.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I I'll go one hundred and twenty eight seventeen vikings.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Keep it consistent. I love the Mattellas prediction. I am
- 24:33Speaker 1: going to I'm going to say I think it's a
- 24:35Speaker 1: big sack day. I'm not going to put it on
- 24:37Speaker 1: any which which I'm maybe going to give it to
- 24:40Speaker 1: Grenard for a couple of them.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But I think it's going to be a big sack
- 24:43Speaker 2: day for us. And then I'd like Turner to get
- 24:47Speaker 2: a couple.
- 24:48Speaker 3: That'd be great.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I think, no matter how the game goes, our next
- 24:54Speaker 1: week's show will be a little frostier from a dynamic
- 24:57Speaker 1: standpoint because the Ireland Games starts at eight thirty Chad time,
- 25:04Speaker 1: which means Chad starts getting Viking related texts from Cy
- 25:09Speaker 1: and his nephew at seven thirty eight o'clock Chad time.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And I think that's gonna be a little intense for you.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Will, but you have to understand that I am going
- 25:20Speaker 3: to be in San Diego, so it's actually going to
- 25:23Speaker 3: be coming in about five thirty.
- 25:25Speaker 1: So then I predict a frozen dynamic between the two
- 25:29Speaker 1: of us. That's how I see it's going to be
- 25:30Speaker 1: on the next show.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Now we're pros.
- 25:32Speaker 1: We're going to work through it right, absolutely, so we'll
- 25:36Speaker 1: go with that. We'll go big Vikings win. We're gonna
- 25:38Speaker 1: see Mattellus and some Sacks and we'll see how friendly
- 25:42Speaker 1: we are in the pre show meeting.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I think it's going to be great because one more
- 25:46Speaker 3: prediction is Saturday night. I'm going to put my phone
- 25:48Speaker 3: on donaw sister.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Thanks to all of you for joining the show again
- 25:53Speaker 1: this week and for listening on our podcast feed.
- 25:56Speaker 2: We really appreciate it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Leave us a review, it would mean a lot.
- 25:59Speaker 2: The five star is the whole thing.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Finally, a huge shout out to Ticketmaster, the official ticket
- 26:03Speaker 1: marketplace of the Minnesota Vikings, for helping make this show happen.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Enjoy the game, everybody,
