SPEAKER_02: Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Skin Anarchy.
• 0:07
SPEAKER_02: I'm super excited about our guest today.
• 0:09
SPEAKER_02: Um, we are interviewing uh this brand again, which is wonderful for me because I'm a huge fan of their products, and I think a lot of you might have heard of them.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_02: I think right now is a very exciting time in skincare because we're really bridging the gap between true regenerative medicine and the regenerative principles in that field of medicine and what we are bringing over, you know.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_02: And I feel like this brand is really leading the way and you know in that space.
• 0:33
SPEAKER_02: So without further ado, please welcome back Keith O'Brien, who is the CEO of Hydrinity.
• 0:38
  SPEAKER_02: Welcome, Keith.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_02: I'm so excited to chat with you today.
• 0:41
  SPEAKER_00: Thank no, I'm I'm excited.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_00: Always a pleasure talking to you.
• 0:44
SPEAKER_00: So thank thank you for thank you for the opportunity.
• 0:47
SPEAKER_02: Oh no, I'm so excited.
• 0:48
  SPEAKER_02: I can't wait to dive in.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_02: And I and I would love to really kind of talk about what hydrinity is really doing because I think what you're bringing to the space of skincare is so novel in so many ways.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_02: You know, the products are they speak for themselves, honestly.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_02: I think anyone in the audience, if you have tried them, you guys know what I'm talking about.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_02: And I want to start there, Keith.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_02: You know, I want to talk about hydrinity and where it began because the foundation is in wound care.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_02: So I want you to really talk to us about how, you know, now with the Encore Body Hydrator and other innovations, you know, you're really applying these regenerative principles to full body care.
• 1:26
  SPEAKER_02: Let's talk about that.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, we um we did.
• 1:31
SPEAKER_00: I tell everybody all the time, it was never my goal to start an aesthetics company or a skincare company.
• 1:39
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_00: Our background is regenerative medicine, wound care, spine surgery, oncology.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_00: But when we saw how well that our even prehyndicate products help compromise skin, the light bulb just went off and said, you know what, there's a role for this in skincare.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: Because the same principles apply.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: You need rapid, you need rapid healing.
• 2:05
SPEAKER_00: Um because if you think about wound care, some in wound care in my previous life, people had things happen to them.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_00: Well, we actually inflict wounds on people in aesthetics now.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_00: So, but the same principles apply.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: You have they need to heal fast, they want they want to know what their downtime is.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: Um, how do you balance their pH?
• 2:23
SPEAKER_00: How do you manage that inflammation?
• 2:25
SPEAKER_00: And I do think that we've been very fortunate because a lot of the the principles that are now being applied to in aesthetics, we've got years and years of experience with with that.
• 2:36
SPEAKER_00: And I do think that kind of gives us a leg up.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_00: That and not growing up in this industry, which I love now, and I don't know what took me so long to get here, um, but we're not bound by the same rules as ever.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_00: Well, we've always done it this way.
• 2:51
SPEAKER_00: Well, we get to look at things fresh and different, um, and we get to try things that I think other people are not willing to do.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_00: And I do think that gives us it gives us an advantage because we're not encumbered by by the past.
• 3:07
  SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
• 3:08
SPEAKER_02: No, what prompted you guys to shift from like you know, facial skincare to the whole body?
• 3:14
SPEAKER_02: I really want you to speak on this a little bit.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um we I wouldn't say we shifted, Dr., but there's such a need in that.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_00: And and so here's the body is it's 90% below the neck is as of skin.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_00: The market kind of dictated it too with the GLPs and the body contouring and that there was really no good product out there that I thought satisfied that worked well with those.
• 3:45
SPEAKER_00: And so we had requests from our partners.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: We also had an internal, I had a had one of my favorite people that works at the company.
• 3:53
SPEAKER_00: She goes, You need a body product because I'm tired of having to buy renew and put it all over my body.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_00: And so we laugh about it, but it but it's true.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: And so that's where we that's where we started because the body's different.
• 4:06
SPEAKER_00: And what I noticed with a lot of other body products is they were taking the same facial and just putting it in a bigger bottle.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_00: Well, you can't, you know, you can't do that.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_00: The body skin is four times as thick, it's got slower turnover, turnover's there 28 plus days, not 14.
• 4:25
  SPEAKER_00: There's fewer sebaceous glands.
• 4:27
SPEAKER_00: And so you really, really have to look at that different.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_00: You have to pick ingredients that penetrate down to the dermal layer because you've heard me say this before, it's true healing and true regeneration of the skin only happens at the dermal layer.
• 4:43
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_00: And it just there was a need there.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: Um and I knew with our delivery system with our low molecular weight HA that we could do it, and we could do it really well.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_00: And the results have been they've they've been they've been phenomenal.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_00: The other thing that I really wanted to focus on was really ramping this up with a lot of antioxidants because that's reactive stress hits that uh hits the body worse than it does the face for for for what for whatever reason.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_00: The other thing that we were able to do is um we were up the dose of vitamin C.
• 5:26
SPEAKER_00: With your skin being thicker, you don't get the side effects, you don't get the irritation, it's less sensitive.
• 5:32
SPEAKER_00: So you're able, you're able to play with like kakadu plum's my favorite vitamin C.
• 5:37
SPEAKER_00: And I and we're able to put more of that in in the encore of the body product than any other product on the market because it the skin can tolerate it, the body skin can tolerate it.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_00: And it actually soaks it in and it does really, really well.
• 5:52
SPEAKER_00: And so we just there was an opportunity, the market was screaming for it.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_00: And our customers were, and we said, you know what?
• 5:59
SPEAKER_00: We we think we can we can fix this problem.
• 6:02
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, you know, I really love the way you are approaching body care and just talking about it because I want to take a minute and really kind of for our listeners, you know, shine a light on this because when we are looking into the landscape of body care products right now, right?
• 6:18
SPEAKER_02: I I see a lot of the same mistakes that people were making with that whole natural beauty phenomena that happened with facial skincare where everybody was using like shea butter and like you know, we were just making things in the kitchen and like you know, there's a lot there's a lot of that going on, yes.
• 6:38
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it's kind of scary to me because I'm like, I don't want us to walk down the same road that we've been down, and then find out that people are getting these full body reactions happening, and you know, that whole thing.
• 6:52
SPEAKER_02: So that's where I feel like hydrinity's take on this is truly novel because I mean, everything you're describing, the body skin is something I think as consumers, we need to understand that there is a real need here, just like there is with our facial skin.
• 7:08
SPEAKER_02: And if we don't approach it from the same scientific rigor and this like lens of truly, let's put the science first, let's figure out what ingredients really work in what concentrations, we're never gonna see improvement.
• 7:21
SPEAKER_02: So I really love, I wanted to take a minute and say that for our listeners because it's important, you know, for us to highlight.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_02: Um, but you know, you you often talk about skin care, you know, Keith, uh, as as a regenerative care, right?
• 7:35
  SPEAKER_02: And that's really important.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_02: I mean, can you talk to us about that?
• 7:38
SPEAKER_02: In what ways are you seeing concepts from like oncology, wound repair, um, all of those things really influenced the future of aesthetics and skin health, particularly for the body care side?
• 7:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yep.
• 7:53
SPEAKER_00: What we noticed before in in wound care is that we would we were doing the right things, but we weren't getting great clinical results.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_00: And then um David Armstrong at USA in California, he came out and he said, if you if your pH is not right, you're not going to pH is one thing, and then I'll talk about my other favorite topic here.
• 8:19
SPEAKER_00: If your pH is not balanced, your wound's not gonna heal.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_00: And you can just you can transfer and you can take out the word wound and you can put skin.
• 8:30
SPEAKER_00: Your skin is not gonna thrive if it's if your pH is not balanced.
• 8:34
SPEAKER_00: So what we do, one of our key things is every hydrantity product balances pH.
• 8:40
SPEAKER_00: And so it has to.
• 8:42
SPEAKER_00: The other thing is inflammation.
• 8:45
SPEAKER_00: Prolonged inflammation is bad for your gut, it's bad for your joints, and it's terrible for your skin.
• 8:52
SPEAKER_00: So what we do is every hydrant product is anti-inflammatory.
• 8:56
SPEAKER_00: So those are key principles that other medical disciplines look to.
• 9:03
SPEAKER_00: And so what we try to do is implement those in into into aesthetics.
• 9:08
SPEAKER_00: Um, inflammation in itself is not bad, it is needed in the body, it's the body's natural response.
• 9:14
SPEAKER_00: But prolonged inflammation is terrible because then you never get to sell your proliferation.
• 9:20
SPEAKER_00: And prolonged inflammation increases scarring, it does a lot of negative things.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_00: And so what you have to do is you have to modulate that inflammation.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_00: And that's what we try to do with every hydroenity product is you know, when we come up with our with our formulation, because it's not ingredients, it's formulation that really matters more than the ingredients.
• 9:40
SPEAKER_00: Then we do our clinical testing, but part of that clinical testing is to test to see how much the inflammation and the pH balances is.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_00: And then after that, then we can work on the other the other parts of the of the product.
• 9:52
SPEAKER_00: But those are those are critical um from what you have in regenerative medicine.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_00: And and especially if you look at oncology, inflammation is terrible because we could go down and talk about CD RAM 44 and how inflammation causes cancer and and that.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_00: Um so inflammation is just bad.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_00: And so what we try to do is we fight it every day.
• 10:13
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, that's I think that's brilliant.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_02: I think that's the real inflammation is such an interesting area to understand in science, right?
• 10:22
SPEAKER_02: Because it's it's really at the heart of everything.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_02: And I I think that at the end of the day, for when it comes to body care, this is something that's very intriguing for me because when you think about something like sun exposure, right?
• 10:33
SPEAKER_02: You take something like being out in the sun, especially right now in the summertime, everyone's enjoying being outdoors.
• 10:39
SPEAKER_02: We are so focused on skincare and like application of SPF, and that's wonderful.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_02: But then you still don't really address any of the trauma that takes place from something like that.
• 10:49
SPEAKER_02: And so when you look at you look deeper, inflammation becomes very central to that conversation, you know, and so being able to understand that, like, you know, when there's an insult, it induces inflammation, which then lasts, and then you have to maintain your ability to drive that inflammatory, you know, cascade in the right direction in your body.
• 11:10
SPEAKER_02: That is, I think, where, you know, true innovation can happen in this space, is when so people can get a grasp on that, you know.
• 11:17
SPEAKER_02: So that's very fascinating what you said.
• 11:19
  SPEAKER_02: I think it's very, very critical.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_02: Um, I want to ask about how you're maintaining this whole biotech integrity piece, you know, while you're making the experience also very sensorial, very retail-worthy for for patients when it comes to this um the whole body care space.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, we take we take great pride in that because I don't think you have to choose one or the other.
• 11:43
SPEAKER_00: Um we often say inside the organization that we we're at the intersection where science meets luxury.
• 11:52
SPEAKER_00: And there are some brands that are luxury is is their their game.
• 11:59
SPEAKER_00: Not sure clinically it does anything.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_00: And then there's some brands their science is really, really good, but patients and clients don't like it.
• 12:09
SPEAKER_00: And so we always uh we always start with the efficacy first.
• 12:15
SPEAKER_00: It's it has to work.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_00: If it doesn't work, we're we're not gonna put the hydrant DH on it.
• 12:19
  SPEAKER_00: That's the first thing.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_00: Patient safety is right there, but form fit and function is a very close third because when people need to experience something, things don't happen in a in a day, it takes a couple of weeks.
• 12:34
SPEAKER_00: They need to want to apply this, and so we work really hard on our form, fit, and function.
• 12:41
SPEAKER_00: We don't put perfumes in ours, we don't put dyes, we don't add things that we don't need.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_00: Because I don't know if you like coconut or or vanilla.
• 12:51
SPEAKER_00: The best way to do it's not to have any scent.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_00: And so, and what I found in this industry, most of the time that things have a smell, they're trying to cover something up, or if they have if they had added scent.
• 13:02
SPEAKER_00: Um, I think you can have both.
• 13:05
SPEAKER_00: And we um we take great, great pride in that because I will tell you, I get that a lot.
• 13:11
SPEAKER_00: When people use our product, the first time it's like, oh, that that's different.
• 13:18
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 13:18
SPEAKER_00: And so we were, and so that's that's a that's a big part of what of what we do is and that's the reason people tell us all the time, hey, we're obsessed with your brand, because it it feels so it just feels good.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_00: I I look forward to putting it on, not just for what it does, but how it feels.
• 13:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, and you you can do both.
• 13:36
SPEAKER_00: And I it's a little extra work and you use better ingredients and and you do things the right way.
• 13:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but the but when we get the feedback that we get, it's absolutely worth it.
• 13:47
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, I I think that that's really I like what you said about you know fragrance, especially.
• 13:53
SPEAKER_02: I think that you're really you're hitting the nail on the head there, you know, because um I find it to be very interesting why, you know, again, that conversation about how I feel like people are making it in the kitchen with body care these days.
• 14:04
SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, um, I think it's very, very uh transparent for you to say that because, you know, I think consumers kind of have this mindset of if it's body care, it's gotta smell a certain way.
• 14:16
SPEAKER_02: You know, we're treating it almost like a fragrance product when in reality that's not at all how we should be approaching it.
• 14:22
SPEAKER_02: I think fragrance has its place.
• 14:24
SPEAKER_02: You should be able to layer fragrances on top of body care that, you know what I mean?
• 14:28
SPEAKER_02: Like it helps because hey, it's gonna balance your pH, which is automatically gonna make your fragrance smell better.
• 14:34
SPEAKER_02: You know, that's just how fragrance works.
• 14:36
SPEAKER_02: If you're spraying perfume on imbalanced pH, it's not gonna smell the same it does out the bottle.
• 14:41
  SPEAKER_02: That's how it is.
• 14:42
SPEAKER_02: You know, so I think that conversation is such, it goes so much deeper.
• 14:47
SPEAKER_02: And I think it really does actually open up a whole different category, right?
• 14:51
SPEAKER_02: In the body care space, is that when you understand that, um, especially for consumers, because that then you can separate, you know, you can you can start figuring out that no, this isn't the same thing as fragrance.
• 15:02
SPEAKER_02: You know, my body lotion doesn't have to have like crazy smell to it.
• 15:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 15:06
  SPEAKER_00: No, I don't want it to.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_00: Our our body product, it's a therapeutic product.
• 15:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 15:10
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it it hydrates, it fights off the free radicals, but there's also with some of our ingredients, there's some tight, there's tightening that goes on, and it's that that effect.
• 15:22
SPEAKER_00: And if you use it, we've got great before and after pictures where people are using it, and it's um you you can absolutely the appearance of even stretch marks, um, now it's not going to cure those, but the appearance of it, and I've seen some pictures that I would not have have believed before.
• 15:42
  SPEAKER_00: They they start.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_00: We we knew our ingredients would help with that, but it's um that it's a therapeutic.
• 15:49
SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't want to compete with your perfume or or your or what you use in in the in the shower or so.
• 15:54
SPEAKER_00: If if you like your perfume, I don't want my body product to overpower that.
• 15:59
  SPEAKER_00: It's that's that's what you choose.
• 16:01
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 16:02
  SPEAKER_02: No, absolutely.
• 16:03
  SPEAKER_02: I completely agree.
• 16:03
SPEAKER_02: I think it's so there's so much that can be done with the you know, really good products for body.
• 16:09
SPEAKER_02: It's it's crazy to think about, you know, the yeah, but I want to talk about um, you know, this really like this idea of the fact that, you know, I think aestheticians are now starting to realize that they need to get behind better protocols.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_02: You know, I think a lot of them are being very proactive in that way.
• 16:27
SPEAKER_02: You know, they don't just push products anymore, they're more so about what can we really do to like make sure our practice is more refined, you know.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_02: Um, I wanna like what are your your takes on that, you know, and hydrantity's role in enabling providers to move away from this whole marketing hype and you know, all of that towards more truly evidence-based practice.
• 16:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I um I love protocols that are very that are patient specific.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_00: So you start with certain things.
• 17:00
SPEAKER_00: So you you you know you have to cleanse your face and you know you have to have to have to clean it, but it then, but I'm also we pride ourselves on skinalization and skinemizing.
• 17:11
SPEAKER_00: I don't believe in 12-step protocols because some of those they're just not being effective.
• 17:18
SPEAKER_00: But if you can utilize two to three to four products, yeah, and you get the results that you that you need, that's that's beautiful.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_00: And so all I tell everybody is trust the data, follow the science, make sure that the data that you're seeing is clinically relevant and it's gonna do what it says, and trust yourself, use your experience.
• 17:41
SPEAKER_00: It's I will tell you, we have some wonderful estheticians out there that do this every day.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_00: They know what's gonna work.
• 17:49
SPEAKER_00: And you have to remember when we started, we only started with three SKUs.
• 17:53
  SPEAKER_00: It's it's amazing how fast we've grown.
• 17:55
SPEAKER_00: So when we develop those, we develop those to be able to you to utilize within protocols and not to have one itself, but just to drop the hydrinity.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_00: They layer really well, they play well with others, is is is how we say it.
• 18:10
SPEAKER_00: And it just makes the other uh the other products better.
• 18:13
SPEAKER_00: And that's and that's what you can get.
• 18:15
SPEAKER_00: You can get real synergy if you use multiple products that treat different things and have different ingredients.
• 18:21
SPEAKER_00: And I I do, I think, I think that's a trend that's that's not gonna stop when you know going away, not destroying the skin barrier, but using two, three, four products to get the results that you want that you use every that you use every day or twice twice a day.
• 18:38
  SPEAKER_00: It's uh that's just good.
• 18:41
SPEAKER_00: Somebody asked me the other day, what's the secret to good skin?
• 18:44
  SPEAKER_00: I said it's just consistent.
• 18:45
SPEAKER_00: Whatever you use, just be consistent.
• 18:47
SPEAKER_00: Use it morning and night, and try to do it every every day.
• 18:52
SPEAKER_00: If you're consistent, that's the best thing you can do.
• 18:56
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 18:57
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 18:58
SPEAKER_02: No, I agree with that.
• 18:59
  SPEAKER_02: I think that's that's spot on.
• 19:00
SPEAKER_02: You know, I think that's the hardest part.
• 19:02
SPEAKER_02: But you know what's interesting is I know we keep talking about body care, but hydridity, by the way, for everyone listening, has a lot of really great products, guys, for facial skin care.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_02: I mean, everything is just it hits home.
• 19:13
SPEAKER_02: So check out the whole brand.
• 19:14
SPEAKER_02: But I know I keep harping on body care, but you know why is because of everything you're saying here.
• 19:20
SPEAKER_02: Because I think that when it comes to body, we have a real opportunity, I feel like, you know, and especially a brand like yours, you know, paving the way.
• 19:29
SPEAKER_02: I mean, there is such an opportunity here to help consumers create truly healthy skin habits.
• 19:35
SPEAKER_02: You know, like when it comes to like when you get out of a shower or when you're applying any body care product, it's a daily ritual.
• 19:43
SPEAKER_02: You do it every day, you know, and you don't think about what am I really putting on?
• 19:47
SPEAKER_02: So if you had the right products and you were doing that every day, now imagine what your skin would look like 90 days, because the body skin, like you had mentioned this, Keith, it's very different.
• 19:57
SPEAKER_02: It's got a whole different, you're you're working with more layers, you're working with a whole different physiology.
• 20:02
SPEAKER_02: So the way that it's going to respond is going to be very different than how facial skin responds because it's thinner.
• 20:08
SPEAKER_02: You know, so people are maybe you're not experiencing things as profound as maybe facial skin, right?
• 20:14
SPEAKER_02: When you get the thinning or you get really deep wrinkles, maybe earlier in life, you don't really see that with body as you know, early.
• 20:21
SPEAKER_02: So you have, I think, a bigger window to intervene and and build these healthy habits so that you can really get to a point when you age that you, you know, you notice like, wow, I really aged beautifully because I've been on this consistent regimen, you know, for X amount of years.
• 20:36
SPEAKER_02: I think there's a huge space there, you know, potential there.
• 20:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 20:40
  SPEAKER_00: No, and and I and I I I think you're right.
• 20:42
SPEAKER_00: A lot of people use products, but I would say it's just as important to use medical grade skincare on your body as it is as your face.
• 20:50
SPEAKER_00: It's everybody says it, but skin is it's your largest organ.
• 20:55
SPEAKER_00: You need healthy skin to to help fight off disease and just and and aging.
• 21:04
SPEAKER_00: Just there is so much environmental pollution these days that you your skin needs it needs to be healthy to fight that.
• 21:10
  SPEAKER_00: It really does.
• 21:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely.
• 21:12
SPEAKER_02: Now I want to dive in because I know you guys are coming out something new.
• 21:16
SPEAKER_02: And um, I want to talk all about that.
• 21:18
SPEAKER_02: And I would love for you to share your insights and so what what what is happening, what's the newness coming out for the Hydrinity?
• 21:26
SPEAKER_00: No, I am so I'm so excited about about this.
• 21:32
SPEAKER_00: Um we've been working on this product for over two years now, and I really do think that Hydrinity is going to deliver on the promise of of Virginia Madison.
• 21:44
SPEAKER_00: So we we have a new product uh that we're gonna that we're gonna launch on September September the 8th.
• 21:53
SPEAKER_00: And it's a um it's gonna become the new gold standard in in red.
• 22:00
  SPEAKER_00: Therapy.
• 22:01
SPEAKER_00: It's it's going to be uh it's it's the first, and so it's true innovation in that therapy.
• 22:07
SPEAKER_00: It's the first hydrating retinol, it's the first retinol encapsulated by a biomimetic exosome.
• 22:16
SPEAKER_00: It's the first retinol that doesn't need titration.
• 22:20
SPEAKER_00: Um it works on fine lines, wrinkles, tone texture, which which is what you would expect it to do.
• 22:28
SPEAKER_00: But the clinical thing that blew me away in a 12-week study is that there was a 58% reduction in erythema.
• 22:37
SPEAKER_00: Most retinol products cause redness and that, but this actually decreases it.
• 22:44
  SPEAKER_00: So it's it's it's just it's triple therapy.
• 22:48
SPEAKER_00: So you you have your retinol, which is which is the standard uh in in skin care.
• 22:54
SPEAKER_00: This is a retinol, not even a retinal.
• 22:57
  SPEAKER_00: A retinol, not a retinol.
• 22:59
SPEAKER_00: So you're that one step closer, it's 10 times more potent.
• 23:02
  SPEAKER_00: But there's no titration.
• 23:04
SPEAKER_00: You use it from day one.
• 23:05
SPEAKER_00: Uh Fitzpatrick, we studied one through six.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_00: Uh we had zero dropouts in it.
• 23:11
SPEAKER_00: Um, and here's the other thing there was a 44% increase in hydration at the two-week mark.
• 23:18
SPEAKER_00: So what we did is everybody that we put on it, we we took a digital skin analyzer someplace on the skin, we tested their baseline, and then two weeks later, we tested everybody, and the average was 44% increase.
• 23:32
SPEAKER_00: Um it does everything that a retinol is supposed to, plus some.
• 23:36
SPEAKER_00: We have our HA in there, so that's why it's so hydrated, super amount of HA.
• 23:41
SPEAKER_00: We've got some other ingredients in there.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_00: Um but this the exosome therapy um delivers it down to the dermal layer of the stratum basale where it needs to be, stimulates collagen and elastic, it does everything.
• 23:59
SPEAKER_00: So the retinol gets what it's supposed to, it doesn't get oxidized, it doesn't dig denigrate, it's just it stays pure in its form and it's really potent.
• 24:11
SPEAKER_00: And the results are are are fantastic.
• 24:14
SPEAKER_00: And again, this is the first.
• 24:16
  SPEAKER_00: Um, and I know I'm foam, I'm just I'm so I'm just excited.
• 24:20
SPEAKER_00: I'm just so excited about this because there hasn't really been any real true innovation in this, what I consider in the retinoid therapy in almost 10 years now.
• 24:30
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 24:31
SPEAKER_02: And you know, what's it's very interesting what you said that you know this doesn't cause that irritation because I won't lie to you.
• 24:39
SPEAKER_02: For a you know, I hopped off the retinal bandwagon because of that reason.
• 24:44
SPEAKER_02: Because I had these conversations with dermatologists, and I I remember getting very heated about it, you know, because I was like, Well, I can't, I will never back anything, you know, that causes actual trauma before it heals, like that kind of thing.
• 24:58
SPEAKER_02: And so this is huge.
• 24:59
SPEAKER_02: If you're able to do that, yeah, that's huge.
• 25:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's so we're so excited about this because it just um daily use without titration, able it it it does every it just takes it takes away the reason that people don't don't use uh retinols.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_00: Um, we've got over 55 patients uh either have finished or in clinical trials right now.
• 25:27
SPEAKER_00: We've had zero dropouts because of side effects.
• 25:30
SPEAKER_00: So we had a 20 patient IRB uh um study study uh done.
• 25:36
SPEAKER_00: We had another 20 patient uh multi-centered place done.
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: Uh we're treating with acne patients.
• 25:44
SPEAKER_00: Fitzpatrick's five and six, we're getting great results in those, and those are super super hard to treat.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_00: Um the FITS ones and twos that usually can't tolerate a retinol are having great results with with with that.
• 25:59
SPEAKER_00: Um so it's um it is actually true uh true innovation.
• 26:06
SPEAKER_00: Um and we've been able to and that's and that's why I'm sighted about where we're going because exosomes have they've been out there for a few years.
• 26:15
SPEAKER_00: And there's a couple of companies that some are doing it pretty good, but with this one, it is so stable.
• 26:21
SPEAKER_00: Uh and that's been the problem in the past, is it's the stability of the exosomes.
• 26:26
  SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but this is stable.
• 26:28
SPEAKER_00: Being a biomimetic, everyone is the same.
• 26:32
SPEAKER_00: And an exosome, I know you know this, it's a thousand times smaller than a stem cell.
• 26:37
  unknown: Okay.
• 26:37
SPEAKER_00: So it goes exactly where it's supposed to go.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_00: And when you manufacture your own, every one of those is the same.
• 26:44
SPEAKER_00: So when so when you put a million exosomes in a bottle, it's actually more than that, but we'll say it's a million.
• 26:50
SPEAKER_00: When you put that, if every one of them is the same, then you know you got pure, potent, and precise therapy, but everybody gets the same.
• 27:01
SPEAKER_00: And it just you don't have to guess what you're getting.
• 27:04
  SPEAKER_02: That's that's huge.
• 27:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's it's going to be um I like I said, I'm I'm excited.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_00: I've been doing this, not skincare, but in in in medicine for 30 years and launch 40 products.
• 27:20
SPEAKER_00: This may be the one I'm the most excited about because it is just so different than anything else out there on the market right now.
• 27:25
  SPEAKER_02: That's incredibly exciting.
• 27:26
SPEAKER_02: That's incredibly, I mean, that's really kind of that's at the intersection of outdated pharmaceuticals and new age true biotech-backed products for dermal health.
• 27:37
  SPEAKER_02: That is huge.
• 27:38
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can't applaud you enough for taking that on because I think that, you know, it was sad for me as both of a physician and a scientist, also as a consumer to see something like retinol kind of start going out the door.
• 27:52
SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
• 27:52
SPEAKER_02: Like people were starting to get rid of it.
• 27:54
SPEAKER_02: And I don't think I never felt like we had to do that.
• 27:57
SPEAKER_02: I just always felt like there's gotta be a better way, you know what I mean, to bring those benefits back and just do them in a way that it's going to help.
• 28:05
SPEAKER_02: And this sounds exactly like that.
• 28:07
SPEAKER_02: So I'm very excited to see that you're doing this.
• 28:09
SPEAKER_02: And, you know, everybody listening, this is that's huge.
• 28:12
SPEAKER_02: You know, if any of you know, retinol is is such a pain point for most consumers, it causes so much irritation.
• 28:18
SPEAKER_02: It it really kind of can backfire, you know, if you don't have the right skin type.
• 28:23
SPEAKER_02: So this is really huge.
• 28:25
SPEAKER_02: I'd be very excited to see how many, you know, derm offices and med clinics would are gonna get behind this because I mean this could revolutionize the way that we suggest products, you know, to people.
• 28:35
SPEAKER_02: And also, like, you know, when retinol first came out and when the it first started getting prescribed and all of the derms are backing it and everybody was backing it because it has so much potential, you know, it does so much good stuff that we need to bring that back, but in a in a better way.
• 28:51
  SPEAKER_02: So that's that's very exciting.
• 28:52
  SPEAKER_02: I'm very excited.
• 28:53
SPEAKER_02: I'm sure you could tell.
• 28:55
SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's um it it is because retinol therapy, it's they're the only one that's recognized by the FDA as really the for final fine lines and wrinkles.
• 29:05
SPEAKER_00: And and it is so well studied, it's it works.
• 29:08
SPEAKER_00: Nobody denies that it works.
• 29:10
SPEAKER_00: It's the baggage that it carries with it.
• 29:13
SPEAKER_00: And some work and some work better better than others.
• 29:16
SPEAKER_00: Um, so if you get something number one, that's more efficacious but doesn't cause the side effects, plus it also hydrates your hydrates your skin, uh, decreases the redness.
• 29:29
SPEAKER_00: So you're looking at it's we know it's good for fine lines, we know it's good for acne patients.
• 29:35
SPEAKER_00: Well, now with the urethema being rosacea patients, there are it's um it is we call it the new gold.
• 29:42
SPEAKER_00: It's we're rose gold is one of our colors, so we call this kind of the new the new gold standard.
• 29:47
SPEAKER_00: One of uh one of the physicians that did did the study with it was on our advisory board, he just kept saying that this is the new gold, the gold gold standard.
• 29:58
SPEAKER_00: Um and so and we we have can I tell the name of it?
• 30:02
  SPEAKER_00: Yes, of course, please.
• 30:04
SPEAKER_00: No, so what we did is because it's a retinol and it's an exosome, so the name of it is retizome.
• 30:14
SPEAKER_00: Oh so it's so it's a combination, so it's a combination, and it's really three, but I couldn't figure out a clever way to get our hyuronic acid in there.
• 30:22
SPEAKER_00: So you get triple therapy in in in in one in one product.
• 30:26
SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's really cool that you did that because you know it's interesting that you combined it with with certain things because hydration is one of the biggest things.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of peeling, there's a lot of dry skin, there's a lot of things happening when you're using retinol.
• 30:41
SPEAKER_02: So you do need that hydration support, you need that antioxidant support, you need a lot of things, right?
• 30:46
SPEAKER_02: The skin needs that extra kind of boost, you know, during the regenerative process that it's going through.
• 30:51
SPEAKER_02: So yeah, this is this is very exciting.
• 30:53
SPEAKER_02: I'm very excited about that.
• 30:55
SPEAKER_00: It is it is it is so cool.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_00: We we were able to create the biomimetic exosome with a nice lipid layer.
• 31:05
SPEAKER_00: We we put Cintella in there, also, which is a plant that uh's been around for thousands of years, medicinal purposes all over the world.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that's in the exosome, but then in the very center, the retinol is encapsulated.
• 31:22
SPEAKER_00: And so that way it doesn't, it doesn't break down.
• 31:25
SPEAKER_00: So just think of that as the um you have you have the exosome, but then you have the ha that even protects that when it's going.
• 31:34
SPEAKER_00: So the ha protects the exosome, the exosome protects the retinol, and then they all do their they all do their job.
• 31:42
  SPEAKER_02: Wow, I love that.
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_02: I really love that.
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_02: I can't wait to try it.
• 31:45
SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be huge, you know.
• 31:47
SPEAKER_02: And I think that everybody out there, if you guys uh if you've already tried hydrinity's products, I mean you already know what you're getting, you're getting amazing quality, but that's the kind of brand that I want to see, you know, get behind this because I at the end of the day, a lot of people are claiming exosome stuff right now.
• 32:02
SPEAKER_02: And I'm don't get me wrong, I'm here for the science, you know.
• 32:05
SPEAKER_02: I love science and I I love stem cell science.
• 32:08
SPEAKER_02: And you know, exosomes are great, but you have to know how to utilize them.
• 32:12
  SPEAKER_02: You really do.
• 32:12
SPEAKER_02: And that's the biggest, I think, white space in this, you know, this whole category is that people don't know how to be applying this to skincare, you know, like it's not enough to just say we have exosomes.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_02: You need to have a purpose of why they're there and what they're doing because they're essentially they're nano sized, but they're really messenger molecules.
• 32:33
  SPEAKER_02: That's what they are.
• 32:34
SPEAKER_02: You know, so so that's very, very cool.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_02: But no, Keith, thank you so much.
• 32:38
SPEAKER_02: It's always such a pleasure to chat with you.
• 32:40
SPEAKER_02: And I'm just so excited about the new innovation coming out and and all of the wonderful products.
• 32:44
  SPEAKER_02: I I can't recommend them enough.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_02: I think I was on TikTok just the other day, and I literally dropped your products in the in the comments because I was like, you guys need to check out hybridity.
• 32:55
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know what you're doing.
• 32:57
SPEAKER_02: Just go check out the brand.
• 32:58
SPEAKER_00: So I guess I guess I need to update my TikTok game.
• 33:01
SPEAKER_00: I'm not really good at all that.
• 33:06
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
• 33:06
SPEAKER_02: I think we're you and I are probably more so in the same boat than we realize.
• 33:09
SPEAKER_02: I'm just on there for market research, you know, but I'm always finding myself commenting.
• 33:14
SPEAKER_02: But no, it was it's such a great brand.
• 33:15
SPEAKER_02: And I think what you're creating is leading the way, especially now.
• 33:18
SPEAKER_02: I know longevity skincare is buzzing.
• 33:20
SPEAKER_02: I think when I personally think of longevity skincare, I think of products such as what hydrated is making, something that's going to be tried and true and people can come back to over and over and over again, you know, and see results at the end of the day.
• 33:32
SPEAKER_02: So I can't, you know, applaud you enough for doing that.
• 33:35
  SPEAKER_02: And I I love the brand.
• 33:36
SPEAKER_02: So thank you for innovating, continuously, you know.
• 33:39
  SPEAKER_00: No, thank thank you.
• 33:40
SPEAKER_00: It's um it's it it really is fun to come up with new things.
• 33:47
SPEAKER_00: And and our our goal is to elevate the industry and make make it and bring some of these cool technologies over over to to to aesthetics.
• 33:58
  SPEAKER_00: It's um, it's it's it's fun.
• 34:01
SPEAKER_00: We love what we do.
• 34:02
SPEAKER_00: We get up every day and um we we're driven by innovation, but we're guided, we're guided by our partners and and and our clients and our patients.
• 34:12
SPEAKER_00: Um we we try to do what's right by them, get them what they need in a very innovative way.
• 34:17
SPEAKER_00: And if we do that, then everybody wins.
• 34:19
SPEAKER_00: We win as an organization, we win personally, our satisfaction.
• 34:24
SPEAKER_00: But you know, our partners and our and and their clients win.
• 34:27
SPEAKER_00: And so I I think you can have you can have a win-win-win if you just if you focus on the right things.
• 34:33
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 34:34
  SPEAKER_02: I couldn't agree more.
• 34:35
