- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, so you were contemplating whether or not bringing a little a little boo bucket for um Zach's niece and nephew, which you guys uh you said you're seeing this weekend.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we have a brunch on Saturday for his mom's birthday and then you know, pumpkin patch and all that good stuff.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, so uh I'm just I'm I'm kind of looking through here to see uh 'cause I said the the danger that could come of this, it's great.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Do it.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: I think it's cute.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: Just know the one side effect that might come of this is you could start to get looked at as the gift lady.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: So you only get seen every every other month, month, month, every other month, whatever.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: And kids at a certain age just they they put in their little minds, oh, this is how I associate you with that.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: And you might have to come, you know, with I don't know, next time uh a pack of Uno and uh whatever.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: And I don't know.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's actually a great one to bring for Thanksgiving when you see them.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Bring uh a pack of Uno.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: That way you guys can all have a big family fight.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And they ever plays Uno, right?
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: They love playing games.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: That's actually a really good idea.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: But I don't want to always be the gift lady.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Let me read this one.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: They said, Allie, just tell them Halloween is your favorite holiday and believe this is the time of year that you want to celebrate with them.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Cut the expectation of being the gift lady, but still winning them over.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, I that might help.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: You can by saying, Hey, this is my favorite time of the year, and they they get to share a little bit of that.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, you might be able to do that.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: Because I I'm I look, like I understand what you're saying, even though it's probably Dollar Tree visits or dollar store visits stuff that you would take.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Kids just mentally put it in their head.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: You're the gift lady.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: I mean, just imagine the cute little sunglasses that are little ghost faces.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: No, you know what's adorable.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's I get exactly what you're doing.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: I'm just trying to prevent this from being an you know, for the next three years.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Because then they get out of it.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: But, you know, for the next three years, every time you see them, I'm not doing that.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I'm not doing that.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: If you do decide to get something special, it's almost too bad that we don't live closer to LA.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: This guy runs a horror-themed convenience store.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: And oh, this is cool.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, listen to what he's got.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: So I own a store called the Mystic Museum, which is a horror immersive experience and gift shop.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I just felt like I needed a change and do something a lot more whimsical, a lot more fun.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I wanted to do something retro.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: But within the horror box, the bodega just seemed very like fun.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like, oh wow, what if there was an all horror-themed bodega or convenience store?
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I've never heard of it before.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: Now, listen to this.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: So, this guy, like I said, owns this uh horror-themed convenience store, bodega, if you will, filled with food that was uh played that played a role in like scary movies and Halloween themed food.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Um Do you think that they'll have from Silence of the Lambs a nice glass of Chianti?
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: That's exactly.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: But I was also thinking, wait a second, I'm not done.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Keep going.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: So I was also thinking The Beetlejuice shrimp.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah!
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Because who doesn't want convenience store shrimp?
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you know what I do want?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: I've always loved the wax lips that were the Dracula teeth.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Weren't those the best?
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Um, also, what if there's Well he does have wine too, so I bet he has the Chianti.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Chianti.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: And I hope that there's some sort of like jelly or gelette.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: You know how there's there's um Oh, he's got the Zagnut bars from Beetlejuice.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: That's great.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: He's got the what?
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Zagnut.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, Zagnut.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: I just could not understand what she said.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: Oh, and egos.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: Remember, egos were big in um Stranger Things.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's a good one.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: It is a good one.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: But here's the other one.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: You know how there's gummy worms, which actually you could do that for um beetle juice.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: But if they had like a gummy brain.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Because again, and why am I keeping going back to Silence of the Lambs?
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: That's disturbing.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Or oh my god, what if they even had jerky that kind of looked like pieces of skin?
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, it kind of already does.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, this is true, but it would have to be a little bit lighter.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Because that was the other thing in Silence of the Lambs, because like they like ripped the he had carved the skin of the face off.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: That would be kind of cool if there was a whole face skin, but it was actually jerky.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Turkey jerky.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Turkey jerky.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Because that's a little bit lighter with meat.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Right, it's it's healthier.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I was also thinking like lighter face, but I got it.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, thanks.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: The Fanta with the scream face on it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: That's another one.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: So all right, this guy's got a hit.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Now, all right, we're we're talking about food.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna tell you something in a minute.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: Uh, it's the five minute rule, not the food five minute rule.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: Although it might bleed into that, but this is not the food five minute rule.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: Wait till you hear this five minute rule next.
