- 0:28Speaker 2: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 0:33Speaker 2: at Jillette Stadium, and we got two more hours of
- 0:36Speaker 2: Patriots Unfiltered this week. Let's make it work, you guys.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We're heading out to London out where the Patriots will
- 0:47Speaker 2: be taken on the jag Uars nine thirty Eastern time
- 0:50Speaker 2: on NFL Network this Sunday, a game which both teams
- 0:55Speaker 2: I think believe they can win.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, and I should yep, yep. So both teams
- 1:00Speaker 5: will win, both teams should believe they should they could win.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Uh, it's Alex, it's Paul, it's me,
- 1:07Speaker 2: Deuce and Evan will be bye later. We'll be doing
- 1:09Speaker 2: our picks later. So we got a hurry. But you know,
- 1:13Speaker 2: we've got a lot of news out there, and some
- 1:16Speaker 2: of it's okay and some of it's not okay. First
- 1:19Speaker 2: of all, Ben Volan reporting that Mac went for an
- 1:23Speaker 2: MRI after practice.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Yeah what what what? Jules? Oh did I say Mac?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Oh? I got Mac on my mind because we're playing
- 1:34Speaker 2: the Jaguars. Yeah no, I mean you didn't even speak
- 1:38Speaker 2: Fred for me there.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I didn't, ye May. Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Now we don't know how accurate that report is because
- 1:45Speaker 2: I think he's the only one reporting.
- 1:46Speaker 5: It right, yeah, now because it's rebetful.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Wow, I kind of but yeah, he is the only one.
- 1:55Speaker 2: But all it takes is one person at Shields.
- 1:58Speaker 6: MRI to say, oh, I saw Drake manner. We don't
- 2:02Speaker 6: know what it's for.
- 2:04Speaker 2: You assume it could be thene because that's what he's
- 2:06Speaker 2: on the injury report for, and it could be just
- 2:08Speaker 2: you know, precautionary, just make sure everything in there looks okay.
- 2:11Speaker 6: But you know who knows?
- 2:13Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, And you know, Alex van Pel talked about
- 2:15Speaker 5: it a little bit, well, just about a half hour
- 2:18Speaker 5: ago he had his press conference. He felt like Drake
- 2:23Speaker 5: looked like his normal self yesterday at practice. But then
- 2:27Speaker 5: I thought there was a follow up question, and you know,
- 2:30Speaker 5: it was about to anticipate any whatever he's dealing with
- 2:34Speaker 5: to impact it all. He's like, no, I don't think
- 2:36Speaker 5: so you know. So at first it was kind of like, well,
- 2:39Speaker 5: I don't really know anything about any injury, and then
- 2:42Speaker 5: the follow up was kind of indicating, well, yeah, he's
- 2:44Speaker 5: dealing with something, but we think it's it's going to
- 2:46Speaker 5: be okay. So I don't think it's anything that's going
- 2:49Speaker 5: to prevent prevent him from playing on some about the running,
- 2:53Speaker 5: but I but I do think he's dealing with something, yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 5: you know, and I don't know if it happened during
- 2:57Speaker 5: the game or if he tweaked it in practice or something,
- 3:00Speaker 5: you know, like.
- 3:00Speaker 2: If it happened in practice.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Right, So yeah, so great.
- 3:04Speaker 2: There's that, you know, not not you know, perfect, And
- 3:08Speaker 2: then this Christian Barmore thing. I mean, we're not gonna
- 3:10Speaker 2: dwell on it, but dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb dumb, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 2: just like first of all, get your car registered. Second
- 3:18Speaker 2: of all, like okay, you you get stopped, it's not registered.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Just do what they'd say, you know, like I.
- 3:24Speaker 7: Think tweeting at one am is.
- 3:26Speaker 2: What tweeting and calling your mother and it's like what
- 3:30Speaker 2: are we doing here?
- 3:31Speaker 7: I feel like they let him off pretty easy, like
- 3:33Speaker 7: you have to get your car towed, like you you
- 3:35Speaker 7: can't drive an unregistered vehicles.
- 3:37Speaker 2: They would get in trouble if they like driving then
- 3:39Speaker 2: something happened.
- 3:40Speaker 7: But then to go on Twitter and tweet about it
- 3:42Speaker 7: and make the police department look bad, like then they're
- 3:45Speaker 7: going to be like, Okay, we let you off, but
- 3:47Speaker 7: you want to now say.
- 3:49Speaker 2: This, but it's stupid, it's funny. I was listening to
- 3:51Speaker 2: Zola today because yeah, it happened to me twice. It's like, oh,
- 3:54Speaker 2: of course it did. You know, Like I can see
- 3:57Speaker 2: him as being a person not getting his car registered
- 4:00Speaker 2: in time. This is I guess when he was playing
- 4:03Speaker 2: at Pennsylvania registration. So you know, it's a little bit
- 4:06Speaker 2: more complicated, but still you got to take care of
- 4:08Speaker 2: that stuff. You know, I have a son who is
- 4:11Speaker 2: you know, in his twenties. You know, harp on them.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You got to take care of that. Your insurance, your registration,
- 4:17Speaker 2: you know, you got to do that.
- 4:19Speaker 7: And if you have substances in your car, well that's
- 4:22Speaker 7: the whole different thing.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean nowadays weed is the same as it's nothing, really, but.
- 4:28Speaker 7: Yeah, driving and on blood thinners.
- 4:34Speaker 6: I don't know about how that works.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Maybe we're going to turn the show over now, which
- 4:39Speaker 5: is going to us that.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Weed lowers your heart rate. We were on blood thinners.
- 4:44Speaker 7: I would not be doing something that lowers my heart rate.
- 4:48Speaker 7: I'll probably leave it at that.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 5: So that's like I said, maybe it's maybe it's a
- 4:52Speaker 5: special type.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Maybe it's prescribed by the doctor.
- 4:55Speaker 7: I hope it is.
- 4:56Speaker 5: So like I don't know, I agree like that, you know,
- 5:00Speaker 5: the weed is like sort of a lesser of the things.
- 5:02Speaker 5: But I do like people are very quick to just
- 5:05Speaker 5: sort of dismiss that now because it's legal, and you
- 5:10Speaker 5: make a good point, you still can't drive, right, Like
- 5:13Speaker 5: if someone had a beer, like one beer driving around,
- 5:18Speaker 5: would that be okay?
- 5:19Speaker 2: It's legal, but if it's if it's not open, like
- 5:23Speaker 2: if I just went to the package store and I
- 5:25Speaker 2: had a six pack.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Right, but I have to get it home somehow.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Right, No, But but if it's like it would not
- 5:30Speaker 5: be okay if it's open, right No? Right? Right, So
- 5:33Speaker 5: it's kind of the same thing, like it's legal, but
- 5:36Speaker 5: you can't drive around under the influence.
- 5:38Speaker 7: That's why I think they let them off because they
- 5:40Speaker 7: could have done an OUI test, and frankly, after seeing
- 5:43Speaker 7: the video, I would have given him an.
- 5:46Speaker 2: One thing.
- 5:47Speaker 6: It's just a total aside.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And this has nothing to do with Christian Barmore. But
- 5:52Speaker 2: I don't understand like these workers who you know, of
- 5:56Speaker 2: course you can't drink on the job, but feel like
- 5:58Speaker 2: on their break they can, you know, smoke weed like
- 6:01Speaker 2: it's still altering your faculties, like it's it's not okay, yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 2: like it's recreational do it, you know, when you're not working.
- 6:10Speaker 6: But like, man, people think that that now.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's legal, like it's just like a cigarette, it's not
- 6:16Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, so anyway, that's that's just that's just me.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And by the way, you're not getting away with anything
- 6:23Speaker 2: because it reachs these days. When I was a kid,
- 6:26Speaker 2: it didn't smell like it smells now now you can't
- 6:29Speaker 2: walk around with this stuff. You can smell it, you
- 6:33Speaker 2: can smell it. It's it's you're not getting away with anything.
- 6:37Speaker 7: And that's why I think they just, I don't know,
- 6:40Speaker 7: they need to be smarter.
- 6:42Speaker 6: Yeah, well it's smarter and just common sense.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Yeah, like he turned what I think was really nothing
- 6:48Speaker 5: thing into a big thing.
- 6:49Speaker 7: I think if he didn't send that tweet, no one
- 6:51Speaker 7: even knows about it, right, And that's why I'm like, why,
- 6:54Speaker 7: I mean.
- 6:55Speaker 2: There's probably hundreds of people every day in Massachuset. I
- 6:57Speaker 2: think this is in Rhode Island, but which whatever, hundreds
- 7:00Speaker 2: of people in any state every day they get stopped
- 7:02Speaker 2: because they forgot to renew their.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Especially I think it was like a week.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not a big deal. Yeah, it's not a
- 7:08Speaker 2: big deal. It can happen to anyone. But once you
- 7:11Speaker 2: get stopped, you gotta be like, oh miakopa, Yeah you know.
- 7:14Speaker 7: I'm sorry, Yeah, do what you gotta like.
- 7:19Speaker 5: It's just it's it's an unfortunate situation, and you know
- 7:24Speaker 5: it's funny, like Alex mentioned the blood Dinners and that
- 7:27Speaker 5: to me it was my big takeaway, Like I went
- 7:29Speaker 5: all football.
- 7:30Speaker 7: Like, this is trying to get back on the field.
- 7:32Speaker 5: This is not a violent crime or anything like that.
- 7:34Speaker 5: This is you know, missed him or whatever. I mean,
- 7:38Speaker 5: obviously bad judgment, belligerents.
- 7:39Speaker 7: Yeah, just bad pr more than.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Any bad judgment, I get it. Yeah, it's not something
- 7:45Speaker 5: that's going to end up, you know, ultimately leading to
- 7:47Speaker 5: his dismissal from the team or anything like that. But
- 7:51Speaker 5: when when he's talking to his mom, you know, his
- 7:53Speaker 5: mom is is basically you know, employing the police to
- 7:56Speaker 5: be careful because he's on Blood Dinners. That was my
- 7:58Speaker 5: big takeaway. Football. He's still on at Dinners, and you know,
- 8:01Speaker 5: maybe we're not quite.
- 8:02Speaker 6: That's the headline because Bury the lead.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, Gerard had sort of let us, you know,
- 8:08Speaker 5: gave us an indication late last week that there was
- 8:12Speaker 5: a better chance of him being able to come back
- 8:14Speaker 5: and playing. If they're still not past the Blood Dinner stage.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Maybe I'm not sure how realistic that is. I'm no doctor.
- 8:20Speaker 5: So that was my big take.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Those were two things that have developed since our show yesterday.
- 8:27Speaker 2: So let's talk about the game a little bit, you know,
- 8:30Speaker 2: for what it's worth.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Uh.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Like we talked about early on both teams, I think
- 8:35Speaker 2: you're in a situation right now where I think more
- 8:38Speaker 2: so for Jacksonville, but both teams really need to win.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Patriots have lost five games in a row. Jacksonville, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 2: went into the season with high hopes. You know, they
- 8:48Speaker 2: thought that you know, Trevor Lawrence would play better. Uh
- 8:52Speaker 2: this season, They've They've got some you know tools, but
- 8:56Speaker 2: it's just not happening.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Uh.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And so I think their head coach is on the
- 9:02Speaker 2: hot seat, Doug Peterson, And so they really need a win,
- 9:06Speaker 2: and you know, I would put the Patriots in that
- 9:07Speaker 2: category as well as needing a win, just just to
- 9:12Speaker 2: you know, you know, it gets straight game. You know,
- 9:15Speaker 2: you've lost five games in a row, new quarterback. Now
- 9:20Speaker 2: let's let's let's get a win here.
- 9:21Speaker 7: That's why I think are the New England's morale is
- 9:25Speaker 7: a lot higher than Jacksonville's. I don't I don't know
- 9:27Speaker 7: about Jacksonville's morale right now.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they Patriers didn't lose last Sunday for a lack
- 9:32Speaker 2: of effort. They just got outmatched. They just came up
- 9:36Speaker 2: against a much better team. But I think people are
- 9:38Speaker 2: accusing Jacksonville some players of giving up that game, just
- 9:42Speaker 2: lack of effort. So that's to me, that's more of
- 9:45Speaker 2: a reason why they need to They need to come
- 9:47Speaker 2: out and just prove that they still want to play.
- 9:50Speaker 6: But we'll see, you.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Know, No, I think that's the big the big question
- 9:54Speaker 5: to me coming into the game is what kind of
- 9:56Speaker 5: motivation does Jacksonville have. Yeah, they determined to give one
- 10:00Speaker 5: the last push out the door for Doug Peterson because
- 10:03Speaker 5: we've seen these international games can can end badly. You know,
- 10:06Speaker 5: you take the flight home and all of a sudden,
- 10:08Speaker 5: the announcement's made, you know, so is that their goal
- 10:12Speaker 5: to get rid of the coach or are there are
- 10:16Speaker 5: enough people in there that have the professional pride and say,
- 10:20Speaker 5: you know, this is our fault that this coach is
- 10:23Speaker 5: on the hot seat, like this, let's do whatever we
- 10:25Speaker 5: can now to save his job. I could see it
- 10:28Speaker 5: going either way.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't see Doug Peterson as the kind of
- 10:31Speaker 2: guy who players would end up not liking, Like, yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 2: seemed to be.
- 10:36Speaker 5: I think there's some static with with Lawrence in Peterson,
- 10:40Speaker 5: but oh yeah, yeah, I don't know exactly where it
- 10:43Speaker 5: emanate's from. And you know, if it's you know, who's
- 10:46Speaker 5: in the right, who's in the right?
- 10:47Speaker 2: I mean, Trevor Lawrence is a guy who I think
- 10:50Speaker 2: over the years have had good reason to complain and
- 10:52Speaker 2: it never has. You know, he seems to be a
- 10:56Speaker 2: pretty good teammate. And so if he has static with
- 11:01Speaker 2: Doug Peterson, I blamed Doug Peterson.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Okay, he is static with two different coaches now though, well, Urban.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Meyer, yeah, can you blame him?
- 11:10Speaker 5: Well, just because you think you're right doesn't mean it's right.
- 11:12Speaker 5: He's had static two different even.
- 11:14Speaker 7: Urbans like last month than Jackson.
- 11:17Speaker 2: You know, but even that season, I think Trevor Lawrence
- 11:20Speaker 2: kept his mouth shut for the most I agree.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree.
- 11:24Speaker 7: And when you're that young in the league, I think
- 11:26Speaker 7: that's he handled it perfectly. Now I think he probably
- 11:29Speaker 7: has a little more credibility to be able to open
- 11:32Speaker 7: his mouth.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 6: So, I mean that's that's you're saying.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Sometimes when there's always static between you and someone else,
- 11:38Speaker 5: at some point it might be you. I don't know,
- 11:41Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on. I think urban Meyer
- 11:44Speaker 5: was a train wreck.
- 11:45Speaker 2: He was, and it was very unfortunate that he that's
- 11:48Speaker 2: his first season in the league. He got off, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 2: to the wrong on the wrong foot as an NFL
- 11:54Speaker 2: quarterback was too bad on the Patriots. You know, Drod
- 11:58Speaker 2: was talking yesterday about making changes and you know, they
- 12:03Speaker 2: pressed him and they said, you know, does that mean
- 12:05Speaker 2: starting positions And he said, yeah, you know, and I
- 12:09Speaker 2: don't know what they could be.
- 12:10Speaker 5: But we sounds like linebacker might be, yeah, focus based
- 12:14Speaker 5: on Democraus Comington.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but he was talking about you know, pre snap
- 12:18Speaker 2: penalties that you know, we just can't have those, and
- 12:21Speaker 2: you know, I like, he doesn't really have a lot
- 12:24Speaker 2: of tools in the tool belt at this point in
- 12:26Speaker 2: terms of like swapping guys in and out.
- 12:28Speaker 6: No, yeah, so I don't other.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Than that's why the discipline stuff is so annoying, Like
- 12:33Speaker 7: what's happening.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if they have like the kangaroo court,
- 12:36Speaker 2: you know, where they're finding guys internally for these type
- 12:40Speaker 2: of things. I don't know if the CB allows for
- 12:42Speaker 2: that anymore. But something, you know, he needs to do
- 12:46Speaker 2: something to, you know, get these guys on the field disciplined.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and it sounds like linebacker might be you know,
- 12:56Speaker 5: maybe Christian Ellis is a guy we talked about yesterday.
- 12:59Speaker 5: He's been in a little bit of a third down
- 13:01Speaker 5: role the last couple of weeks. Covington seemed to indicate
- 13:05Speaker 5: that maybe he's earned a little bit more, so maybe
- 13:08Speaker 5: we'll see him on early downs. They got to do
- 13:10Speaker 5: something about the run, the run fits and the run
- 13:13Speaker 5: discipline up front. Comington seemed to think that the guys,
- 13:17Speaker 5: the defensive linemen anyway, we're doing their jobs. I would
- 13:23Speaker 5: have liked to have gotten a follow up in there
- 13:25Speaker 5: about the amount of yardage they've allowed. If everybody is
- 13:29Speaker 5: doing their job, I think Gotcha's played pretty well, But
- 13:33Speaker 5: I find it hard to believe that all the rest
- 13:35Speaker 5: of them have done their job and still allowing one
- 13:37Speaker 5: hundred ninety two and one hundred and ninety three yards
- 13:39Speaker 5: in consecutive games. Beyond that that front seven on defense,
- 13:45Speaker 5: I'm not sure, Like you're right, Fred, Like, how many
- 13:47Speaker 5: options do you have? I mean, it's probably Born getting
- 13:51Speaker 5: more snaps, maybe Polk getting a little less, but those
- 13:54Speaker 5: are going to be four receivers, right, you know, Born, Polk,
- 13:57Speaker 5: Douglas and Booty.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You know, he says, he said, we're going to put
- 14:01Speaker 2: the people out there that we can depend on that
- 14:03Speaker 2: give us the best chance to win. You know, that's
- 14:07Speaker 2: it's slim Pickens. I hate to say it right now.
- 14:10Speaker 5: So you know, you know on my show yesterday, you know,
- 14:14Speaker 5: one of the lines of thought that they had it
- 14:16Speaker 5: was more like as I was leaving and I listened
- 14:19Speaker 5: on my way home, it seems like they're sort of
- 14:22Speaker 5: you know, Girodmeo circle in the wagons a little bit
- 14:25Speaker 5: and putting a lot into this. You know, we want
- 14:28Speaker 5: some accountability, we want to change the way it's going.
- 14:31Speaker 5: It's just like the outcome of this game, maybe a
- 14:34Speaker 5: little bit more important as a result. You know, we
- 14:36Speaker 5: want to win this game. We need to make some
- 14:38Speaker 5: changes and if it if it doesn't work, you know,
- 14:42Speaker 5: you kind of wonder does that lead to a spiral?
- 14:45Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:45Speaker 5: You know, when you put a lot into a game
- 14:47Speaker 5: and you don't get the results, sometimes that can have
- 14:49Speaker 5: a really, really bad effect. So I do think it's
- 14:52Speaker 5: an important game for, you know, a young team that's
- 14:55Speaker 5: trying to establish something in a rebuilding year.
- 14:57Speaker 7: For sure, especially for the defense. I mean, I know
- 15:02Speaker 7: we're probably a lot higher than Paul was on the
- 15:04Speaker 7: defense like coming into this year, but just linebacker issues
- 15:08Speaker 7: and stopping like that's the last issue I really expected
- 15:11Speaker 7: us to have this year. I know injuries played a
- 15:13Speaker 7: lot into that, but it's just it's not a position
- 15:15Speaker 7: I ever would have imagined the team to be in.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Well, I mean we did worry, you know what the
- 15:20Speaker 2: loss of Belichick would mean, both of them, Yeah, Steven
- 15:23Speaker 2: and Bill. You know, they had to mean something.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't expect it to be this Yeah, And
- 15:29Speaker 5: I mean even though I had my questions.
- 15:32Speaker 7: At the beginning of the year, because you think you're
- 15:34Speaker 7: going to be okay.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Bentley's hurt, you know, so it's been a it's been
- 15:39Speaker 2: one thing after another to just weaken that defense a
- 15:42Speaker 2: little bit, and then you just weaken it enough and
- 15:45Speaker 2: then the damn breaks.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Far more Bentley Peppers like right down the.
- 15:49Speaker 7: Yeah, and not to mention douggar, just dealing with injuries exactly.
- 15:55Speaker 2: So it's been one thing after another for the defense.
- 15:58Speaker 2: So you know, eventually it's gonna break. But we'll see
- 16:01Speaker 2: what happens. I think, you know, defense, you can rally
- 16:04Speaker 2: more so on off more offense. You just have to
- 16:06Speaker 2: have the talent defense sometimes you can.
- 16:08Speaker 6: You can get by.
- 16:09Speaker 2: On on effort for sure, and just playing as a
- 16:12Speaker 2: team and then having good coaching to scheme up things.
- 16:16Speaker 6: So we'll see.
- 16:17Speaker 2: We'll see about the defense. I got an email here
- 16:20Speaker 2: on podcasts at pages dot com person says, why all
- 16:25Speaker 2: caps have you discontinued to chat for the live stream
- 16:28Speaker 2: shows in bold? Are you afraid of answering the question
- 16:33Speaker 2: during the show. No, I'm not afraid. We had a
- 16:36Speaker 2: couple of racist people on the live stream and until
- 16:39Speaker 2: we get the filtering figured out where they're not gonna
- 16:42Speaker 2: continue letting these people have a form. But we are
- 16:46Speaker 2: gonna apply some filters. I believe, and once we get that,
- 16:49Speaker 2: we'll open it up again.
- 16:50Speaker 5: So you want me to be in charge of the
- 16:51Speaker 5: online chat?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we need some monitoring because we did we have
- 16:55Speaker 2: some we have some babies and racists on there. And
- 16:59Speaker 2: so until everyone can behave and we have the filter,
- 17:02Speaker 2: we're good.
- 17:03Speaker 7: We can handle the insults, we can deal with that,
- 17:06Speaker 7: but just keep them racist stuff out of it.
- 17:09Speaker 5: It shouldn't really be It's not a very high bar.
- 17:11Speaker 5: You should be able to, you know, say what you
- 17:14Speaker 5: want without being racist and insensitive.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Right, So, yeah, I'm not afraid.
- 17:20Speaker 2: No, I'm not.
- 17:20Speaker 6: I'm not a scared.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Are you afraid? Fred? Do you think they're going to
- 17:25Speaker 5: ask you the tough questions?
- 17:26Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm just afraid. All right.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Podcast at patriots dot com is the email address. We'll
- 17:33Speaker 2: get to some of those because.
- 17:34Speaker 6: We have to hurry. Got a big picks day coming up.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Right? What time is Evan and DU's going to be bad?
- 17:41Speaker 5: Well, everything was pushed back a little bit, should be here,
- 17:43Speaker 5: surely locker room was opening at twelve. I think Deu
- 17:47Speaker 5: just wanted to get a couple of things then he
- 17:49Speaker 5: was going to come. Then Evan will be pushed back
- 17:51Speaker 5: to like one for practice. I think so he might
- 17:54Speaker 5: be coming in hot okay.
- 17:56Speaker 6: For the picks, for the picks.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he stinks anyway, So that this week it was
- 18:02Speaker 2: a little different. Oh yeah, a little different. Yeah, I
- 18:06Speaker 2: don't week. I don't like the sound on some of us.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I don't like the sound of that.
- 18:10Speaker 7: I don't think I did well.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Let's see. Shane writes in Fred must have been trolling
- 18:16Speaker 2: with the Bayern Munich kit during the Frankfurt pick last year.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I wore that if he's looking to troll London and Arsenal,
- 18:24Speaker 2: lot will do the trick. Arsenal have won twenty five
- 18:27Speaker 2: more trophies than the Spurs over their history. Spurs are
- 18:30Speaker 2: known for choking and generally disappointing. Spurs are much more
- 18:33Speaker 2: akin to the Jets than the Patriots. I don't know
- 18:36Speaker 2: why the Spurs are involved, but uh okay, I wasn't
- 18:39Speaker 2: planning on wearing a soccer shirt. I have a special
- 18:41Speaker 2: shirt I will be wearing though Saturday night.
- 18:44Speaker 7: You're gonna tease it or just let it be a
- 18:46Speaker 7: surprise surprised.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:50Speaker 5: You have that soccer shirt they gave me that year
- 18:52Speaker 5: somewhere in my house.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Yeah, better than this thing you're wearing now and there
- 18:57Speaker 5: it is.
- 18:58Speaker 6: I don't.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I just I don't like these shirt hoodies.
- 19:03Speaker 5: You don't mean it's like a T shirt is a
- 19:06Speaker 5: hood that shirt. I've literally had this for at least
- 19:11Speaker 5: ten years and I wear it all the time because
- 19:13Speaker 5: it's very comfortable. And every time I wear Fred has
- 19:17Speaker 5: inrogatory comment.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It should be a sweatshirt like Andrew Whitworth is that
- 19:22Speaker 2: his name. Yeah, he wears them all the time. Like,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you're not going to put the hood Have you ever
- 19:27Speaker 2: put that hood on?
- 19:28Speaker 5: I've never put a hood on wearshirt I have. Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 5: you like raining, but I never have.
- 19:36Speaker 6: But I just don't like that. I don't. I don't.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Never is a strong word. You know. When I put
- 19:42Speaker 5: a hood up is when I'm like shoveling snow and
- 19:44Speaker 5: I'm out with a snowblower. I'll put you put the
- 19:46Speaker 5: hook on everything I have. I have one of those
- 19:48Speaker 5: head socks too, I put I put everything on in
- 19:52Speaker 5: regular like just wearing a hoodie I would never put
- 19:55Speaker 5: most of the.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Time, you don't andless Like I said, it's you need cover.
- 20:00Speaker 7: Baseball hat with the hood over the baseball hat.
- 20:02Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that's that's a look. That's you young kids.
- 20:04Speaker 6: That's a look you young kids. But you don't need that.
- 20:10Speaker 6: You don't need that.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Let's let's see Brandon writes in he says, when should
- 20:15Speaker 2: we expect to see Bourne become a bigger part in
- 20:17Speaker 2: the offense. I know he's still working his way back,
- 20:20Speaker 2: but he's been non existent since he's been back on
- 20:23Speaker 2: the field.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Also this week.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, I fear that a VP offense and scheme
- 20:29Speaker 2: doesn't really fit May's playing style. As for the defense,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm starting to get discouraged with Gonzales. He doesn't play
- 20:35Speaker 2: physical at all, and it seems sometimes that he shies
- 20:38Speaker 2: away from contact. To be shut down. To be a
- 20:40Speaker 2: shutdown corner, you have to be a little physical and
- 20:43Speaker 2: be able to make open field tackles, and I'm not
- 20:45Speaker 2: sure if he's capable of doing that consistently. I think
- 20:48Speaker 2: he's tackled well. Actually, I think that's one thing that
- 20:51Speaker 2: he's done pretty well. Even when he lets up a pass,
- 20:54Speaker 2: he's right there to make the immediate tackle. Uh So
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'm not complaining about that he.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Was on an open field tackles. That's not what he's talking.
- 21:01Speaker 2: About, No, I know, But like I don't the physical.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Part, like the not very physical. Yeah, I agree with that.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that part I see, Yeah, that part I can see.
- 21:11Speaker 2: But I think he's a pretty sure tackle.
- 21:12Speaker 5: I would just like to see him. I think he's
- 21:14Speaker 5: been pretty good. I would just like to see him
- 21:17Speaker 5: used in a different way. I would like to see
- 21:19Speaker 5: him lockdown somebody Like, Yeah, just say, going into the game,
- 21:24Speaker 5: you are going to play man to man I whatever
- 21:27Speaker 5: plus percent of the snaps and you're going to take
- 21:30Speaker 5: X receiver whatever the other team's number one guy.
- 21:33Speaker 7: Is, like, get more to the scheme they're running on
- 21:36Speaker 7: defense than him.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 5: I think he's pretty good. I do. I just don't
- 21:41Speaker 5: think that he's been asked to do what a lot
- 21:43Speaker 5: of my colleagues claim that he does, and that is
- 21:46Speaker 5: lockdown the other team's receiver. When you're only asked to
- 21:50Speaker 5: play man to man a handful of snaps against one guy,
- 21:53Speaker 5: that's not locking down a guy. So at the end
- 21:56Speaker 5: of the day, when the guy finishes with three catches
- 21:59Speaker 5: for twenty five yards, I don't necessarily credit one guy
- 22:03Speaker 5: for that when they played sixty percent of the snaps
- 22:07Speaker 5: in zone. You know, according to Evan anyway, I don't
- 22:10Speaker 5: shot this crap. I leave that to the right. So
- 22:14Speaker 5: I would like to see him play the way ty
- 22:17Speaker 5: Law did and Steph Gilmour did and keep to Leeb did,
- 22:21Speaker 5: and you know, just man to man, you have this
- 22:25Speaker 5: guy and we know that we're going to win that matchup,
- 22:27Speaker 5: and I haven't really seen that on a consistent basis.
- 22:32Speaker 2: We like interrupting you today.
- 22:35Speaker 5: We got things, we got things going on. It's going
- 22:37Speaker 5: to be the Alex and Paul show. I can tell
- 22:39Speaker 5: the rest of the way.
- 22:40Speaker 7: I will say about Gonzo. He's come out of his
- 22:42Speaker 7: shell a lot this year in terms of like off
- 22:44Speaker 7: the field stuff, going to do a little lifestyle moment.
- 22:47Speaker 7: He's been awesome in the community. He's great with us,
- 22:49Speaker 7: just like he's really coming out of his shell and
- 22:52Speaker 7: like getting to know him has been pretty cool. Like
- 22:54Speaker 7: I think he'll he'll be really I like.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Everything about him. To be honest with you, I think
- 22:58Speaker 5: we had a question yesterday. Ali. It's like about draft picks,
- 23:02Speaker 5: that that that you had, like when you made the
- 23:05Speaker 5: pick and it made you excited because they picked him
- 23:08Speaker 5: and he was one of the guys I picked. I
- 23:09Speaker 5: was really excited when they chose him. I wasn't expecting
- 23:13Speaker 5: him to be available, that's the thing.
- 23:14Speaker 7: It was such a surprise that he was there.
- 23:16Speaker 5: So I was really happy with the pick. I'm being
- 23:19Speaker 5: really happy with the play, you know. And a lot
- 23:21Speaker 5: of times when you say, well he's not that, it
- 23:23Speaker 5: means that you're bashing him. And I wouldn't bash any
- 23:27Speaker 5: game that Christian Gonzalez has played yet, Like, I don't
- 23:31Speaker 5: think he has had quote unquote a bad game as
- 23:33Speaker 5: a pro, all right, but I think he's being like
- 23:36Speaker 5: sort of considered this next level.
- 23:39Speaker 7: Well, it's just fit project. People are projecting their ideals
- 23:43Speaker 7: onto him before actually just like watching him play out.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we all wanted to be that shutdown. But I
- 23:48Speaker 2: mean that's what he should be. He was drafted in
- 23:50Speaker 2: the first round and that's what he needs to start,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you know, playing like eventually. Now you know, it's his
- 23:56Speaker 2: second year, but it's only his like test game, you know,
- 24:00Speaker 2: so he's only got a half a year under his belt.
- 24:03Speaker 5: No, I agree, and that's a that's a big part
- 24:05Speaker 5: of it. But I do I want to see him
- 24:07Speaker 5: being used in a more aggressive way.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Yep, Alex and fall.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Now, Paul, this person's calling you out for being two
- 24:13Speaker 2: faced because of your shows, it's.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Not the first time because you ready for this? Sure?
- 24:18Speaker 6: Can you take the heat?
- 24:19Speaker 2: Can you take the smoke? I can take the smoke,
- 24:22Speaker 2: Alex and fall River. I noticed on the postgame show
- 24:25Speaker 2: Paul said he had to be honest and that Drake
- 24:27Speaker 2: may exceeded his expectations for his first game.
- 24:30Speaker 6: That's that accurate.
- 24:32Speaker 5: First of all, I mean, I'm going to say yes.
- 24:35Speaker 5: I don't remember saying it that way, but I'm going
- 24:36Speaker 5: to say yes.
- 24:37Speaker 2: In contrast, while listening to one of Paul's shows, Felgery Maz,
- 24:41Speaker 2: he said the complete opposite, and I quote, if you
- 24:44Speaker 2: asked me if he exceeded my expectations, I say no.
- 24:48Speaker 2: It feels like when Paul is on his shows, he
- 24:50Speaker 2: tries to fit in and be cool and temper his
- 24:53Speaker 2: positive takes to fit in like a chameleon.
- 24:55Speaker 5: No, Paul, I will say this now, that's I'm sure
- 25:00Speaker 5: that he's right. I'm sure that I said that on
- 25:02Speaker 5: the postgame show. I would say that I might have
- 25:05Speaker 5: been overstating it on the postgame show. My point that
- 25:11Speaker 5: I was trying to make is I think that he
- 25:16Speaker 5: was exactly what I expected good. That's why I wanted
- 25:20Speaker 5: him over Jayde and Daniel, Like, I think that this
- 25:22Speaker 5: was kind of misinterpreted a little bit.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Again, I thought he was coming right right. And and
- 25:29Speaker 5: I'm not dismissing the emailer because I'm sure that I
- 25:32Speaker 5: said he exceeded my expectations if he says that I
- 25:34Speaker 5: said that, But my point being is that I thought
- 25:38Speaker 5: he was really good and he made some really good plays.
- 25:41Speaker 5: I also saw some really bad plays. I was kind
- 25:43Speaker 5: of expecting those two, so I wasn't I would say
- 25:47Speaker 5: I didn't get my expectations weren't exceeded. On All Access,
- 25:52Speaker 5: which will air tomorrow night, Mike Reese and I were
- 25:56Speaker 5: asked that question and I said, no, he didn't, and
- 25:58Speaker 5: Mike said he did. May, And I said, well, I
- 25:59Speaker 5: guess you didn't think as much of him as I did,
- 26:02Speaker 5: because that's like I wanted him over Jayden Daniels. Jayden
- 26:07Speaker 5: Daniels is arguabill been the best quarterback in football. Forget
- 26:10Speaker 5: the best rookie quarterback. He might be the best quarterback
- 26:14Speaker 5: in football through six games, and I wanted Drake May
- 26:17Speaker 5: over him. So I'm not overly surprised that he played
- 26:20Speaker 5: reasonably well. Yeah, but I'm sure like I'm sure I
- 26:24Speaker 5: said it on the post game show, but more accurate
- 26:29Speaker 5: from my feelings would be I was really impressed, and
- 26:32Speaker 5: that's what I expected to be impressed. Yep, So he
- 26:35Speaker 5: didn't I get it, you know what I mean. I'm
- 26:39Speaker 5: a complicated man out.
- 26:40Speaker 7: You just surround yourself with so much negativity on those shows.
- 26:43Speaker 7: It's hard to.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Tony in Virginia, don't forget Mike Felger thinks it's better
- 26:49Speaker 5: to win than lose. I know you probably think.
- 26:52Speaker 6: Nobody agrees that. He's the only one that thinks.
- 26:55Speaker 5: No one thinks like that.
- 26:56Speaker 6: Don't forget Tony in Virginia.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Wanted to get your guys on expanding the use of
- 27:01Speaker 2: the central ref from New York. Take the miss face
- 27:04Speaker 2: mask on Gibson. Why is New York not able to
- 27:07Speaker 2: buzz down immediately and give them notice that there was
- 27:09Speaker 2: indeed a face mask. I've also heard the refs are
- 27:12Speaker 2: huddling more often this season because they are using more input.
- 27:16Speaker 6: From New York.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Do you prefer this slowing down of the game to
- 27:19Speaker 2: get the right call at times to a degree? But
- 27:22Speaker 2: like this probably holding on every play, so they can't
- 27:25Speaker 2: They can't be like buzzing down, not for holding.
- 27:28Speaker 7: But I think stuff like that face mask the other day.
- 27:30Speaker 5: I don't want any of that. I don't want any
- 27:32Speaker 5: more meetings, huddling up. I don't want any of it.
- 27:36Speaker 5: There's there's too much replay. I think it should go
- 27:39Speaker 5: the other way. It drives me crazy. That was a
- 27:42Speaker 5: face mask, they missed a face mask? Should should they
- 27:45Speaker 5: have buzzed down when Kyle Duger tripped Joe Mixon on
- 27:48Speaker 5: a run play, like, at what point are we going
- 27:50Speaker 5: to stop?
- 27:50Speaker 1: Right?
- 27:51Speaker 5: Like the referees make calls, they miss calls. I thought
- 27:53Speaker 5: the Mapu passing appearance on the first drive was tiki
- 27:57Speaker 5: tak at best. Should they buzz down and say that
- 28:00Speaker 5: we'd like to let that one?
- 28:01Speaker 6: But but I'm with Belichi.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I think every play should be challengeable. Still with the limits,
- 28:09Speaker 2: you still can't challenge more than two plays, but if
- 28:12Speaker 2: you're right on the challenge, you don't lose it. But
- 28:15Speaker 2: any play should be challengeable by the coach.
- 28:18Speaker 7: I agree with that too.
- 28:19Speaker 5: I hate that. I just hate it.
- 28:21Speaker 2: You're not going to get any more challenges because you're
- 28:23Speaker 2: still only allowed to.
- 28:25Speaker 5: You just said you if you're right, you don't right,
- 28:27Speaker 5: and you shouldn't lose it, so then you are here
- 28:30Speaker 5: to get more challenges if you don't lose it.
- 28:31Speaker 6: The ref suck.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so that shows so that we could be
- 28:35Speaker 5: here all.
- 28:36Speaker 6: Day well because you think the ref suck.
- 28:39Speaker 5: No, because if you are going to open it up
- 28:42Speaker 5: to penalties being reviewable, how many times do you watch
- 28:45Speaker 5: a replay and good?
- 28:49Speaker 6: I'm all for that.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Every play is good.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I don't care. You know, I don't think it's going
- 28:53Speaker 2: to be as bad as you think. I know what
- 28:55Speaker 2: you're thinking, like, you know, you're always going to be right,
- 28:57Speaker 2: You're never going to lose them, and you're just endless
- 28:59Speaker 2: amount of Oh.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I just think there's gonna be a million challenges because
- 29:02Speaker 5: the reference. The coaches always think that there's a penalty
- 29:04Speaker 5: or not, but depending on.
- 29:05Speaker 2: What they're gonna lose them if they're wrong.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Right, I think there's gonna be a lot of challenges,
- 29:11Speaker 5: is all I'm saying right now. There's not a lot
- 29:13Speaker 5: of challenges. I like that, Yeah, just let them play.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Well, there's not a lot of challenges because if you're wrong,
- 29:18Speaker 2: you lose it. So you have to be judicial same
- 29:20Speaker 2: way you're gonna lose it if you're wrong.
- 29:22Speaker 5: No, you don't lose it if you're wrong. I mean,
- 29:25Speaker 5: if you're right. I'm sorry.
- 29:26Speaker 2: No, I said you're gonna lose it if you're wrong.
- 29:29Speaker 5: No, but they challenge it.
- 29:31Speaker 6: Okay, here we go.
- 29:33Speaker 2: If you if you challenge a play and you're wrong
- 29:36Speaker 2: in your challenge, you lose that challenge.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Right. That's the same as it is now, exactly exactly.
- 29:42Speaker 5: So why would there be any less challenges?
- 29:44Speaker 2: I didn't say there would be less.
- 29:46Speaker 5: No, why are there less challenges?
- 29:47Speaker 6: You said there will be more?
- 29:48Speaker 5: Right, I do think because if you're opening up to penalties,
- 29:51Speaker 5: there'll be more.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But but if you're wrong, you're still gonna You're only
- 29:55Speaker 2: allowed to you know.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Yeah, But I don't want to. I want to go
- 29:59Speaker 5: away from challenge period. I don't want more stoppages. These
- 30:02Speaker 5: games are long.
- 30:03Speaker 6: I want the calls to be right.
- 30:04Speaker 5: I hate but they're not. So Like I watched replay
- 30:08Speaker 5: all the time. They're not right, I know, So I
- 30:10Speaker 5: want that fumble the other night was a fumble. They
- 30:13Speaker 5: watched it seventeen times on replaying, still didn't overturn.
- 30:15Speaker 2: It like those those are outliers. But I want a
- 30:18Speaker 2: mechanism to get it right. I want a mechanism to
- 30:21Speaker 2: get it right.
- 30:22Speaker 5: Like just like deal with it.
- 30:23Speaker 2: It's there's a human element, yeah, I you know. It's
- 30:27Speaker 2: the same thing with balls and strikes and baseball. I
- 30:30Speaker 2: just can't stand when a ball is a strike and
- 30:32Speaker 2: the umpire calls it a ball.
- 30:33Speaker 6: I just doesn't just doesn't.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Make sense because we have the technology doesn't work.
- 30:38Speaker 2: We have the technology. Ron and Conway New Hampshire Mike
- 30:43Speaker 2: Cadillac just tweeted that May walk through the locker room,
- 30:46Speaker 2: no braces, wraps on his knee and he's walking normally.
- 30:50Speaker 2: AVB said no concerns when referencing May's knees. Lastly, in
- 30:54Speaker 2: my opinion, the off field crap that's going on with
- 30:56Speaker 2: bar and more peppers is unacceptable. Suspension without pay might
- 31:00Speaker 2: be in order. As far as the game Sunday, even
- 31:03Speaker 2: though it looks like a possible winnable game, it will
- 31:05Speaker 2: be tough.
- 31:06Speaker 6: I agree.
- 31:07Speaker 2: If the offense plays better and bills on the good
- 31:09Speaker 2: things they did last week. Would the team be buyers
- 31:12Speaker 2: at the deadline for players of need only if those
- 31:15Speaker 2: players can last.
- 31:16Speaker 6: More than one season. If you're going to get a
- 31:19Speaker 6: good player and you're going to be able.
- 31:20Speaker 2: To extend them, Okay, but no rentals because this is
- 31:23Speaker 2: not the season that they're going to contend rental.
- 31:27Speaker 7: If you're on the verge of like a super.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Bowl, it's got to be a player that you can
- 31:30Speaker 2: either has a contract that's long term or that you
- 31:33Speaker 2: can resign and keep them here.
- 31:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Now I agree with that, and I just I can't
- 31:39Speaker 5: really create too many scenarios where the Patriots should be
- 31:43Speaker 5: buying players Like I don't think they should be giving
- 31:46Speaker 5: up draft picks for players right now. But under the
- 31:50Speaker 5: situation that you guys just unfolded, Sure, if you could
- 31:53Speaker 5: somehow get a young player who has term on his contract,
- 31:57Speaker 5: who potentially is better than what you have. Sure, but
- 32:01Speaker 5: that's not really sure why those players would be available.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Jeff and Connecticut. No offense to Paul, but Fred's right.
- 32:07Speaker 2: A shirt shouldn't have a hood attached. Also, as much
- 32:11Speaker 2: as I am a Belichick fan, I never liked the
- 32:13Speaker 2: cut off sleeves hoodie. I don't understand it.
- 32:16Speaker 5: I don't like cut off sleeves.
- 32:17Speaker 7: I love the cut off sleeve hoodie.
- 32:21Speaker 5: My arms are too small.
- 32:22Speaker 7: It's like the weight of a hoodie, but you're not
- 32:24Speaker 7: as restricted in the sleeve.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Well, I think that's why he cut him off, because
- 32:27Speaker 2: also he would cut a slit because I think they
- 32:30Speaker 2: used to.
- 32:30Speaker 6: Help with that thing on the side set and stuff.
- 32:33Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, by the way, in terms of buying
- 32:38Speaker 5: or selling at the deadline, Mayo was asked specifically about
- 32:42Speaker 5: the two wide receivers DeVante Adams and Amari Cooper said, Yet,
- 32:45Speaker 5: those aren't things that we were involved in, which makes
- 32:49Speaker 5: sense to me. They shouldn't be buyers.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Players, right exactly.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Tpx hutline eight five to five past five hundred is
- 32:56Speaker 2: the ace stick and outline. Cameron is in North Carolina.
- 32:59Speaker 5: Hey Cameron, Hey guys.
- 33:01Speaker 8: Uh, I just had a quick thought. I know Geron
- 33:04Speaker 8: Mayo said that it was his decision, and his decision
- 33:07Speaker 8: only last week to uh like may as a starter,
- 33:11Speaker 8: But I was kind of wondering the week before we
- 33:13Speaker 8: go to another international game, do you think Crap had
- 33:17Speaker 8: any faith though, and that decision due to the poor
- 33:20Speaker 8: product that we've put on the field last year in
- 33:23Speaker 8: Germany and maybe him not wanting to go two years
- 33:25Speaker 8: in a row in an international game playing like crap
- 33:31Speaker 8: and not take it off line.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Okay, I'm sure he doesn't want to go two years
- 33:35Speaker 2: in a row playing like crap internationally, But I think
- 33:38Speaker 2: the Crafts are ultra sensitive of being accused of meddling,
- 33:42Speaker 2: and I don't think that. Uh maybe they let their
- 33:46Speaker 2: opinion be known. I don't know, but it was it
- 33:49Speaker 2: was Gerard's decision. Yeah, yep, yeah, I'm I don't want
- 33:55Speaker 2: to play two years in a row like crap overseas.
- 33:58Speaker 2: It's just bad. It's I feel ad for our fans.
- 34:00Speaker 2: You know, they get all excited about seeing their team live,
- 34:04Speaker 2: you know, and then then you put up a stinker
- 34:06Speaker 2: like you did last year.
- 34:07Speaker 6: That was embarrassing.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Definitely, that was embarrassing. We were we were all Robert
- 34:12Speaker 2: crafton our puffy jacket with our head down.
- 34:15Speaker 6: I mean it was. It was when he threw that ball,
- 34:19Speaker 6: It's like, Okay, we're gonna you know, we got a chance,
- 34:21Speaker 6: we're in the red zone.
- 34:22Speaker 2: We can pull this out, and then he throws it
- 34:24Speaker 2: right to the other guy.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Oh awful.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Credit to the German fans though they're still just yeah, no,
- 34:30Speaker 7: obviously they would have liked to see a win, but
- 34:31Speaker 7: they were just so great.
- 34:33Speaker 5: There was a lot of enthusiastic Yeah, it's going to
- 34:36Speaker 5: be a lot when you guys get it's.
- 34:38Speaker 6: Gonna be great.
- 34:39Speaker 2: You know, the our UK fans are great, and it's
- 34:42Speaker 2: also fans from all over Europe that come for sure.
- 34:45Speaker 7: Up on the training.
- 34:46Speaker 6: I can't wait. Nelson's in Los Angeles?
- 34:48Speaker 2: What's up?
- 34:49Speaker 6: Nelson?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Hey?
- 34:51Speaker 5: Man?
- 34:51Speaker 9: Were doing today?
- 34:52Speaker 6: All right?
- 34:54Speaker 9: Good thing? Y'all doing a wonderful Johnavan, No letting you
- 34:56Speaker 9: know that all the time. We're gonna win thirty one,
- 34:59Speaker 9: you know, I mean, yeah, thirty one.
- 35:01Speaker 6: Team thirty one seventeen.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I love it. Are they all offensive points or some
- 35:05Speaker 2: of them defensive or special teams? I believe want one defense.
- 35:11Speaker 2: So you're going to score about twenty four points on
- 35:14Speaker 2: the offense. Okay, I'll take it. I'll take it. Yep,
- 35:18Speaker 2: all right, all right, thanks for the call, Nelson. I
- 35:22Speaker 2: wasn't taking picks, but you know that's okay, that's fine.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Well he picked the right sides. Yeah, well we'll allow.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Kelly and Saw like, I don't want more challenges. We
- 35:34Speaker 2: were talking about it.
- 35:35Speaker 5: No, but I would, but I wouldn't want.
- 35:37Speaker 2: To like to see the referees held But I wouldn't
- 35:41Speaker 2: want to like to see the referees held accountable for
- 35:43Speaker 2: egregious miscalls.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I would like to see the reps held accountable for
- 35:46Speaker 5: egregious miscalls.
- 35:47Speaker 6: It's terribly written.
- 35:49Speaker 5: But I just figured it out.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the referees need a governing body that
- 35:53Speaker 2: holds them accountable. How about something more. If you suck,
- 35:56Speaker 2: you don't get extra games in the playoffs, Well, that
- 35:59Speaker 2: would works. That's exactly how it works.
- 36:01Speaker 5: That's how it works.
- 36:02Speaker 2: They're graded after every game and then at the end
- 36:04Speaker 2: of the season.
- 36:05Speaker 5: The best crews get the playoffs, but the best referees
- 36:09Speaker 5: they split up the cruise, which I don't think they should.
- 36:11Speaker 5: I don't know if they still do that, but yeah, yeah, okay,
- 36:15Speaker 5: but that I mean, that is the way you should
- 36:17Speaker 5: do it. Like, what if you have a back judge
- 36:20Speaker 5: who's the worst back judge in the league, but he's
- 36:21Speaker 5: on the best crew. Now you have the worst back
- 36:24Speaker 5: judge in the league doing, you know, a playoff game.
- 36:27Speaker 5: You can't have it that way.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Ellen Wisconsin says you are missing the point of the
- 36:31Speaker 2: hooded shirt. When you're doing something like hiking, you want
- 36:35Speaker 2: lightweight shirt. Paul doesn't hike. If you want a lightweight
- 36:39Speaker 2: shirt because it can get hot, then you have the
- 36:41Speaker 2: benefit of the hood If you want to keep the
- 36:43Speaker 2: sun off your head and neck.
- 36:45Speaker 7: Yeah, it looks like a Halloween get up.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like you know you're gonna ask me
- 36:52Speaker 2: for my money.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Well I don't think that's okay. I really don't think
- 36:59Speaker 5: that's okay.
- 36:59Speaker 6: Well, I'm just I'm just saying.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Because I'm Italian, No, because you have a black hood on.
- 37:04Speaker 5: I think it's because I'm Italian. Anyway, I just.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Well, if you were telling you wouldn't ask.
- 37:12Speaker 5: You news. Yeah, this is it's a very comfortable shirt.
- 37:18Speaker 5: I enjoy it. I do wear it a lot. I
- 37:20Speaker 5: wear it probably once a week, the entirety of like
- 37:23Speaker 5: October through say March inclusive. It's a very comfortable shirt.
- 37:28Speaker 5: It's like a little waffle leave.
- 37:29Speaker 2: It could be comfortable without the hood.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Right, should I cut it off it came with the hood?
- 37:34Speaker 5: I would, But then you talked to Ralph Lauren. What
- 37:36Speaker 5: do you want me to tell you it's a polo.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Tony and uh, Tony and pot in the UK,
- 37:43Speaker 2: be careful what you wish for when it comes to
- 37:45Speaker 2: video reviews. This has been involved with the English Premier
- 37:48Speaker 2: League for a few years and it's a nightmare. They
- 37:51Speaker 2: still get the calls wrong, and the game is so
- 37:53Speaker 2: much longer than ninety minute game has turned into a
- 37:56Speaker 2: hundred and what's the key?
- 37:59Speaker 5: They still get it wrong. And I've seen enough replay
- 38:02Speaker 5: reviews where they still don't get it right to say
- 38:04Speaker 5: I don't want.
- 38:05Speaker 2: More, And this is without the coaches being able to challenge.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Leave it as it is at best, don't wish for more.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I disagree, but that's okay. I get the point. Soccer's
- 38:14Speaker 2: got it all wrong. They'll be playing.
- 38:17Speaker 5: Does dudes have a regular shirt.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Another hoodie shirt? I can't stand it. You guys are
- 38:25Speaker 2: trolling me, right, Why coordinated shirt?
- 38:30Speaker 7: And was like, I'm gonna wear I like hoodie.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I don't like shirts.
- 38:34Speaker 10: I had to represent the sharing, the struggling sharing Eagles.
- 38:37Speaker 10: I should say, I'm sorry Fred, it was a little
- 38:39Speaker 10: too cold, so I put something underneath this. It's just
- 38:41Speaker 10: specifically a hoodie T shirt.
- 38:44Speaker 5: It was just a hoodie. He has no problem.
- 38:47Speaker 10: It's not really an appropriate climate to wear a hoodie
- 38:49Speaker 10: T shirt. You know, like, you can't like it's not
- 38:51Speaker 10: so cold you need the hood but you know the
- 38:53Speaker 10: arms allright? Well, sorry, you know, trying to represent.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Fred doesn't like it. When Fred doesn't like it. That's long.
- 38:59Speaker 5: I know that I don't like it.
- 39:01Speaker 2: All right, Duce, what do you get to say, Oh.
- 39:04Speaker 11: Look who's bag from the locker room?
- 39:07Speaker 12: What was the mood where the player's friendly to that?
- 39:10Speaker 2: None of them looked.
- 39:11Speaker 7: Like Devin, Henry, Hay, Mike.
- 39:13Speaker 11: What was it like in the locker room?
- 39:18Speaker 2: Hand like?
- 39:19Speaker 7: What was it like.
- 39:20Speaker 1: In the.
- 39:22Speaker 7: That's fire, that's so good, that's the best one.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Scorching, Yeah, I thought so too.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Yeah, better than Evan's totally better Than's song.
- 39:30Speaker 7: Yeah, this one's more my genre.
- 39:33Speaker 10: I mean, honestly, I thought Evan's song was better when
- 39:34Speaker 10: it was about me, and now when it's about him.
- 39:36Speaker 5: I now, Uh.
- 39:39Speaker 10: That was an appearance by the owner in the locker
- 39:40Speaker 10: room today? Oh OKAYK walk through a lot of bags,
- 39:44Speaker 10: a lot of bags packing up for England.
- 39:47Speaker 2: So I did do?
- 39:48Speaker 10: I feel like now I'm establishing a routine. I need
- 39:50Speaker 10: to go into the locker room for a little bit,
- 39:51Speaker 10: you know, just get the vibe the mood.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Friend used to do that. A lot just came around.
- 39:56Speaker 10: You know, nobody needed a pep talk or anything from me.
- 39:58Speaker 10: I was ready to deliver it, but it wasn't asked
- 40:02Speaker 10: but then we heard from Austin Hooper Kendrick Bourne Hooper like,
- 40:05Speaker 10: on win you in the locker in the other locker room,
- 40:08Speaker 10: in the Red's locker room. We need a name.
- 40:09Speaker 5: Locker room adjacent locker.
- 40:10Speaker 10: Room adjacent the champagne room of homerooms.
- 40:13Speaker 5: I guess no touching in the champagne I know what they.
- 40:16Speaker 10: Tell you, definitely no touching. I thought Born was the
- 40:19Speaker 10: most interesting one. I mean, he always is. He's just
- 40:20Speaker 10: got great energy, but you know, he's really kind of
- 40:23Speaker 10: hammering down on like, you know, we're building for the future.
- 40:26Speaker 10: And you know, it was and I thought Phil Perry
- 40:28Speaker 10: had a good follow up of you know, how hard
- 40:30Speaker 10: is it to kind of balance, you know, competing for
- 40:32Speaker 10: the now, trying to win games now, but you know,
- 40:35Speaker 10: knowing that you're you're building for the future. I mean, honestly,
- 40:37Speaker 10: the way Kendrick kind of said it, I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, Like,
- 40:40Speaker 10: you know, are still we're in the season here, you know,
- 40:42Speaker 10: we're not. We're not all just thinking about twenty twenty
- 40:44Speaker 10: five yet. But he was he was great, you know,
- 40:47Speaker 10: he said he was swimming in it a little bit
- 40:49Speaker 10: his first game back and then last week, he felt
- 40:51Speaker 10: a little bit more aware. He doesn't feel fully physically back,
- 40:54Speaker 10: but you know, a lot of compliments for Kayshaun Boody,
- 40:57Speaker 10: who caught some compliments from Alex Van Pelt today as
- 41:00Speaker 10: well for his hard work.
- 41:01Speaker 5: He did, I should have mentioned that.
- 41:03Speaker 10: Yeah, Bourne, you know, Bourne said they have. They said
- 41:05Speaker 10: they're competitive in the meeting room and they'll you know,
- 41:07Speaker 10: call out things on the board, you know, and he said,
- 41:10Speaker 10: Booty's on top of it. Booty's coming out with you
- 41:12Speaker 10: know what the right answers are.
- 41:14Speaker 5: So it was interesting. Van Pelt said. They challenged him
- 41:16Speaker 5: a little bit. Even't like the way he was practicing
- 41:18Speaker 5: early in training camp, and they challenged him to be better,
- 41:21Speaker 5: be better, and he did. Yeah. No, I mean that
- 41:23Speaker 5: was very very strong too. And we saw that, you know,
- 41:27Speaker 5: manifest itself in practice over the course of training camp.
- 41:30Speaker 5: He was better at the end of camp than he
- 41:32Speaker 5: was at the beginning.
- 41:33Speaker 10: It's a good story.
- 41:33Speaker 7: Not I really appreciate how he's just like put his
- 41:36Speaker 7: head down and worked and I don't know, I think
- 41:38Speaker 7: it shows.
- 41:39Speaker 10: Yeah, he's I mean he's reaping you know, a little
- 41:41Speaker 10: success now, I mean a long way to go. You
- 41:43Speaker 10: got to continue to to you know, build off of
- 41:45Speaker 10: what he did last week. But Bourne also said he
- 41:48Speaker 10: talked a little bit to Polk yesterday, you know, trying
- 41:50Speaker 10: to pick him up a little bit and you know
- 41:52Speaker 10: again to alexand Peltic. He's a rookie. There's going to
- 41:55Speaker 10: be ups and downs. I think we're you know, all
- 41:57Speaker 10: hoping that that Polking get back on track and deliver.
- 42:00Speaker 10: I think they need they need a player like that.
- 42:02Speaker 2: So good stuff.
- 42:03Speaker 10: Austin Hooper fully admitting, you know, fumble can't happen. You know,
- 42:08Speaker 10: we're we're trying not to hang our heads and you
- 42:10Speaker 10: know it's not it's not easy. I mean they're one
- 42:12Speaker 10: and five right now, so I think all those guys are,
- 42:14Speaker 10: you know, hoping they can get a win maybe here
- 42:15Speaker 10: and and change the narrative a little bit, because you
- 42:18Speaker 10: know how once it starts kind of snowballing, it gets
- 42:20Speaker 10: harder and harder to break the trend.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I mean this is where I agree with Felger. You
- 42:25Speaker 2: know where some people say, oh, they should lose the
- 42:27Speaker 2: game so they have the high draft pick. No, they
- 42:29Speaker 2: should win as many games as they can win. That's
- 42:32Speaker 2: the culture you want to it's it is a culture thing,
- 42:35Speaker 2: and it is a mindset and it can really get negative,
- 42:38Speaker 2: you know.
- 42:39Speaker 10: Oh for sure, Yeah, for sure.
- 42:40Speaker 5: And it's it's easy. Yeah, it's easy to lose. It's
- 42:43Speaker 5: hard to I mean, it's it's the old cliche. It's
- 42:45Speaker 5: harder to win than lose. And if you establish that
- 42:48Speaker 5: it's okay to lose, then you make it easy on everything.
- 42:51Speaker 6: That's right.
- 42:52Speaker 10: Yeah. Yeah, And when you're hinting a little bit, he's
- 42:54Speaker 10: been working at both spots. So we'll see how it
- 42:56Speaker 10: works out with the guards and the tackles of it all.
- 42:59Speaker 10: Maybe Vederian I was able to get back out there today.
- 43:01Speaker 10: I don't know, I'm not really I'm not really holding
- 43:03Speaker 10: out hope that the guys that didn't practice yesterday and
- 43:05Speaker 10: you know, including him and Stevenson, are gonna be able
- 43:07Speaker 10: to make the trip and play. It just seems like
- 43:09Speaker 10: even harder with the long travel, and I don't know,
- 43:11Speaker 10: it just seems to complicate things even a little bit
- 43:13Speaker 10: more so my pian Antonio Gibson again to try to
- 43:16Speaker 10: carry the load, try to get that run game going
- 43:18Speaker 10: a little bit.
- 43:18Speaker 5: I think that would be.
- 43:19Speaker 10: You know, be helpful.
- 43:20Speaker 7: Was remonder in the locker room.
- 43:22Speaker 10: I didn't see him. No, I did not see him,
- 43:24Speaker 10: but I know he was around yesterday. I saw him.
- 43:25Speaker 10: I see him yesterday.
- 43:26Speaker 7: I was like trying to he was posting on Instagram.
- 43:28Speaker 7: I think he lost a good friend. I think a
- 43:30Speaker 7: good friend passed away. So I was wondering if maybe
- 43:32Speaker 7: that's why we haven't seen him at practice. But then
- 43:34Speaker 7: I heard he was in the locker room, so I
- 43:36Speaker 7: don't know. I was trying to be hopeful and think
- 43:39Speaker 7: maybe it's not.
- 43:40Speaker 10: Injury related personally.
- 43:41Speaker 7: So she really played down that injury post game.
- 43:45Speaker 10: Yeah right, I know. I know that's what's a little strange.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 43:48Speaker 10: That's one of those more bizarre things where a guy
- 43:49Speaker 10: like limps off and you're like, oh that's not good,
- 43:51Speaker 10: that's good, and then he comes back in, but then
- 43:53Speaker 10: he's out again.
- 43:53Speaker 7: I mean it's and then impressor he said, I just
- 43:55Speaker 7: I just took a helmet to the calf. It's stung.
- 43:58Speaker 7: So I was like, oh, okay, cool, And then I
- 44:00Speaker 7: was like, Okay, maybe he hasn't been practicing because he
- 44:01Speaker 7: lost a good friend. That's understandable.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Like I don't know, Yeah, we'll see I still, because
- 44:07Speaker 5: that's what I thought he took. I actually thought it
- 44:09Speaker 5: was the shin and then he said calf, but then
- 44:11Speaker 5: it's listed as foot, So I don't know. It's what
- 44:15Speaker 5: we do here, you know, I don't.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Know what the calf lower leg leg too.
- 44:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Jacob and Illinois writes in at podcasts at Patriots dot com,
- 44:27Speaker 2: a longtime listener, fellow trucker like Bigie, thanks for making
- 44:31Speaker 2: the drive fun. With the offensive line woes we've had,
- 44:34Speaker 2: would taking a look at David Batiari be something we
- 44:37Speaker 2: can consider. At best, he's a veteran presence that can
- 44:39Speaker 2: show up the left side. At worst, I can't imagine
- 44:42Speaker 2: he can be much worse than what we've had so far.
- 44:44Speaker 2: And an added bonus, it's a friend of Aaron Rodgers
- 44:47Speaker 2: we can take away from the New Jersey Packers.
- 44:50Speaker 10: I think that ship has saled. I mean, we've been
- 44:52Speaker 10: talking about David Baktieri going back to the Spring, and
- 44:54Speaker 10: there's plenty of teams out there that need tackles as
- 44:57Speaker 10: bad as the Patriots do. So I don't think if he.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Hasn't come out of retirement now, I think he's like
- 45:02Speaker 5: if he was going to come out of retirement like
- 45:04Speaker 5: Kansas City has no tackles, you know, go there. I
- 45:08Speaker 5: just wonder if he's and I say, come out of retirement.
- 45:12Speaker 5: I don't think he officially retired, did he No? No,
- 45:15Speaker 5: but if he, if he's healthy enough to play, I
- 45:18Speaker 5: would think that he would pick a team that he
- 45:21Speaker 5: felt like had a postseason chance.
- 45:23Speaker 10: Like it's kind of hard to convince a guy to
- 45:25Speaker 10: come out to a one in six team.
- 45:27Speaker 5: And yeah, sorry, that was hurtful. And you know you
- 45:32Speaker 5: listen to like what you said, Kendrick Bourne said, you know,
- 45:35Speaker 5: like you know we're building for the future. Well, yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 5: I mean guys that are on the sideline aren't clamoring
- 45:40Speaker 5: to come back. Now. If that's his only option and
- 45:42Speaker 5: he wants to play, well then sure, I know, look
- 45:45Speaker 5: kick the tires and look into it.
- 45:47Speaker 10: You know what, it drove you nuts. In the locker
- 45:49Speaker 10: room today, Paul was people asking for explanation of details
- 45:53Speaker 10: of Drake against the zero blitz in practice in the
- 45:56Speaker 10: opening In the opening segment of the practice, that was like.
- 46:01Speaker 5: We've resorted to is we have to get well, they
- 46:04Speaker 5: really look good in practice.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Hey, Jules, you have access to the emails over there, well,
- 46:17Speaker 2: the one from James McLeod I like, if there's a
- 46:20Speaker 2: graphic in it, if they could get it, if you
- 46:23Speaker 2: could get it over to KSP, I'd love to have
- 46:26Speaker 2: them put that up on the on the screen. Okay, yeah,
- 46:31Speaker 2: it just came in at twelve forty five.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Nice graphic there, Yeah, boy cartoon.
- 46:36Speaker 10: Yeah, what's he doing? What's he up to?
- 46:38Speaker 5: I don't know who's he. I have a feeling my
- 46:41Speaker 5: hoodie might be involved, but I haven't.
- 46:42Speaker 10: Seen did attack your hoodie too?
- 46:45Speaker 7: Oh yeah, oh yeah, we had a but then a
- 46:46Speaker 7: whole city it's just a zip up.
- 46:49Speaker 5: He hates this shop. I don't like he tells me
- 46:51Speaker 5: every time I wear it, which causes me to wear.
- 46:54Speaker 2: It more.
- 46:56Speaker 5: Ingcause I'm a team because I'm a teenager. When you
- 46:59Speaker 5: tell me not to do, I'm just gonna do it more.
- 47:01Speaker 10: No one can convince me, though, that Bill Belichick wasn't
- 47:03Speaker 10: responsible for I don't ever remember a short sleeve hoodie
- 47:06Speaker 10: before Bill Belichick.
- 47:07Speaker 5: Like I had one in a nineteen seventy seven really
- 47:10Speaker 5: really really short sleeve sweatshirt.
- 47:13Speaker 10: I stand corrected. So Fred's been hating you all the
- 47:15Speaker 10: way back to the seventies.
- 47:16Speaker 5: Well, I don't think Fred knew me in the seventy
- 47:18Speaker 5: hood shirt.
- 47:19Speaker 2: It's the hoodie shirt. It's not hoodies, it's the hoodie shirt.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Kyle and Pembroke. First, Evan's song is still better than Mike's.
- 47:26Speaker 10: Oh, Kyle, you just made an enemy.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Secondly, do you think Booty will get more snaps over
- 47:32Speaker 2: Poke because of their recent performances? In third, I think
- 47:35Speaker 2: the Patriots blow out the Jacks thirty five to ten.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Oh wow, So Booty led the receiving corps and snaps
- 47:42Speaker 5: last week. Yeah, he's already doing that. Yeah, right, and
- 47:47Speaker 5: he's earned it. He's played, you know. I mean, the
- 47:49Speaker 5: production hasn't been off the charts, but he's played well
- 47:53Speaker 5: when he's taken advantage of his opportunities, more so than
- 47:57Speaker 5: I would say than the other guys.
- 47:58Speaker 10: Yeah. I mean, I think you suggest yesterday Paul the
- 48:00Speaker 10: Pole could be a candidate to just give a little
- 48:02Speaker 10: mental break, to pull back on his reps a little bit.
- 48:05Speaker 10: I find it a stretch that Jaymon Baker is going
- 48:07Speaker 10: to suddenly appear and get a chance. And I mean,
- 48:10Speaker 10: I don't know if that was why.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I would find it really strange if Polk all
- 48:13Speaker 5: of a sudden was inactive, you know. But I could
- 48:15Speaker 5: see Born maybe getting some of polk snaps and them switching,
- 48:19Speaker 5: because what was it like fifty percent?
- 48:22Speaker 10: I think Born he it was like twenty five percent
- 48:24Speaker 10: the first week and then about fifty percent the next week.
- 48:26Speaker 5: So I could see, you know, maybe whatever Polk and
- 48:29Speaker 5: Born were last week, I could see them switching. Yeah,
- 48:32Speaker 5: and Born, you know, getting three quarters and Polk dropping
- 48:36Speaker 5: down a little bit. But he'll I think he'll be
- 48:37Speaker 5: active in the game, right, You don't think.
- 48:39Speaker 10: He'll no, no, no, no, I just I think he'll
- 48:41Speaker 10: get maybe get reduced to snaps little. I mean, I
- 48:43Speaker 10: like what you kind of said, which was maybe they
- 48:45Speaker 10: wait and let him, you know, let the game declare itself,
- 48:48Speaker 10: let him get settled, and then all right, now get
- 48:50Speaker 10: in there, you know, hold back that racehorse a little
- 48:52Speaker 10: bit and then and then let him loose.
- 48:54Speaker 6: Uh speed.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Rights that we were talking about challenges and all that stuff.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Speing Frezo says, if the games get slowed down because
- 49:01Speaker 2: of correct challenges, that could create pressure on the league
- 49:05Speaker 2: to improve the officiating. It would be short term suck
- 49:08Speaker 2: for long term gain, or it would be trading suck
- 49:11Speaker 2: for suck. But either way, it blows. Now I say
- 49:14Speaker 2: blow it up so it doesn't suck so hard.
- 49:17Speaker 5: Could watch a college game.
- 49:19Speaker 10: I try not to, But why because it's all penalties
- 49:22Speaker 10: in big plays and four hours. Yeah right, I know,
- 49:27Speaker 10: it's crazy.
- 49:28Speaker 5: Because everything is reviewable. It's so true, and it takes
- 49:30Speaker 5: forever for the games to end. And it's been like
- 49:33Speaker 5: that for ten plus years.
- 49:34Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 49:35Speaker 5: So that hasn't improved the officiating.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Everybody wants to talk about it, though. Micah in South Dakota.
- 49:43Speaker 5: I think there was an egregious face mask my miss
- 49:45Speaker 5: last week. That's why everybody wants to talk about it.
- 49:47Speaker 2: I think you could fix a lot of the issues
- 49:49Speaker 2: with officiating if the NFL actually made them full time employees.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I work with the daughter of one of the white
- 49:55Speaker 2: Caps in the NFL, and he sells insurance in the offseason.
- 49:58Speaker 2: If the NFL made them full time employees and gave
- 50:01Speaker 2: them more training throughout the off season, I think that
- 50:03Speaker 2: would fix some of the issues. I also do like
- 50:06Speaker 2: the human element element of it because it gives me
- 50:09Speaker 2: something to complain about.
- 50:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't like the mistakes. I don't think the
- 50:14Speaker 5: officiating is good. I'm not here to advocate on that.
- 50:18Speaker 5: I just I just don't know what full time. So
- 50:20Speaker 5: like if I watch video like on Wednesday, it's gonna
- 50:24Speaker 5: instead of Friday, that's going to make me better run Sunday.
- 50:28Speaker 10: What about putting the pressure on them if this is
- 50:30Speaker 10: your only job now and you better be good at it.
- 50:32Speaker 7: Or what if you just make them answer to the
- 50:34Speaker 7: media afterwards.
- 50:36Speaker 5: Well you have the ability to do that.
- 50:38Speaker 7: Like a like a press conference, like you could do
- 50:40Speaker 7: it like we all pile in with.
- 50:41Speaker 5: You do a pool report reporter.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you don't want them, you know, I understand
- 50:46Speaker 2: why the ref. I mean, the league is protective of
- 50:49Speaker 2: the rest because you can't have them like being attacked
- 50:51Speaker 2: at every game. You know, that's going to make them
- 50:53Speaker 2: even worse, you know. Maybe.
- 50:55Speaker 5: Plus there's too much HOMERSM in the media a core
- 51:00Speaker 5: and it's like, well, they're out to get us, you know,
- 51:04Speaker 5: as opposed to well, do you really think it was
- 51:06Speaker 5: a bad call, Lork, what are you doing? Like the
- 51:10Speaker 5: judgment The judgment calls to me or should be different
- 51:14Speaker 5: than you know, whether a guy's in or out of bounds,
- 51:17Speaker 5: But it's all lumped in together. They're all out to
- 51:19Speaker 5: get us.
- 51:20Speaker 10: I think Jewels might have something to say.
- 51:21Speaker 2: She's she's like, I just forwarded it to your email box,
- 51:26Speaker 2: so you've got it and there it is, so you
- 51:28Speaker 2: can just send it to KSP. Let's go to the
- 51:32Speaker 2: TPX hotline. Uh, pat is an agawam? What's up Patty?
- 51:37Speaker 9: Good afternoon everyone?
- 51:39Speaker 5: Hey Patty, Patty ready, I'm.
- 51:43Speaker 9: A little disappointed in you.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Okay, tell me why I love shirts.
- 51:48Speaker 9: Because when you took Cameron's call, you didn't say Cameron,
- 51:52Speaker 9: and you know, usually usually accentuate names like that.
- 51:55Speaker 5: So but I don't know, I don't know. I was
- 52:00Speaker 5: looking for a Q. Okay, sorry, Patty, only Thursday afternoon.
- 52:05Speaker 6: I'll be better.
- 52:06Speaker 5: You're in full fledged Sunday afternoon mode right now. What we.
- 52:12Speaker 9: I'm not my lunch break?
- 52:13Speaker 5: Oh okay, okay, all smoking weeds proceed.
- 52:19Speaker 9: You know, I do contract work, but I'm not one
- 52:21Speaker 9: of these guys that gets stoned and go to work,
- 52:24Speaker 9: you know, or won't have beers on lunch break because
- 52:26Speaker 9: I'm I like my job. I don't want to get fired.
- 52:29Speaker 9: But you're the one just regarding this game, I think, Paullie,
- 52:33Speaker 9: I thought you're Your point about this team possibly being
- 52:37Speaker 9: in a spiral or being in at Tilston is is
- 52:40Speaker 9: pretty apt. And I could see I could possibly see
- 52:43Speaker 9: a big win. Especially if that is the case, I'm
- 52:47Speaker 9: looking forward to it, you know. And just whoever said that, Like,
- 52:52Speaker 9: do you think they started to break me because they
- 52:55Speaker 9: didn't want another stinker? Internationally? Just because May's starting doesn't
- 52:58Speaker 9: necessarily mean that they're not gonna to think up the joint.
- 53:01Speaker 9: I mean, I don't think they will. But just because
- 53:03Speaker 9: he made a quarterback change, you could still go out
- 53:05Speaker 9: and lay it stinker. And there was one other thing
- 53:08Speaker 9: I can't remember, but that's all I really had to say.
- 53:11Speaker 2: And I think we're winning this week.
- 53:13Speaker 9: I'm happy, I'm confident, and I want to see Born
- 53:16Speaker 9: be a bigger part, you know.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's it all right, thanks, Patty. I mean
- 53:21Speaker 2: I could see a big win. I could also see
- 53:22Speaker 2: a big loss, and I don't know what's going to happen.
- 53:25Speaker 5: I could see a shootout, yeah, I mean it could
- 53:28Speaker 5: be the thing on any most likely I'd say shootout
- 53:30Speaker 5: like around you know, high.
- 53:33Speaker 2: And anything could happen.
- 53:35Speaker 6: Anything could happen.
- 53:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't see a blowout, but you're right, I
- 53:39Speaker 5: can't rule it out either. If that whole thing about
- 53:42Speaker 5: the motivation, you know, I feel like I thought, Mike
- 53:45Speaker 5: before you came in, you know Mayo talking about changes
- 53:49Speaker 5: and you know, refocusing and you know fast start and
- 53:52Speaker 5: all this stuff like that's great if it works. If
- 53:54Speaker 5: it doesn't work and you lose again, yeah, what you're
- 53:57Speaker 5: going to do? Then what's going to happen? Right? And
- 53:59Speaker 5: I think jack was in the same exact spot, like
- 54:01Speaker 5: they're one in five, they're a mess. And do they
- 54:04Speaker 5: come out and they say, you know, we got to
- 54:06Speaker 5: do something about this and play our best game or
- 54:09Speaker 5: do they just say, well, you know, it's it's over.
- 54:12Speaker 5: I mean, they're not making the playoffs. They're one and five.
- 54:14Speaker 10: I mean, do you think that though there's a it's
- 54:17Speaker 10: a little harder on Jacksonville if they lose in that
- 54:19Speaker 10: they feel like they kind of have the pieces.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but.
- 54:22Speaker 5: In five is definitely harder on jackson But what's going
- 54:25Speaker 5: to happen the rest of the season? No idea, No,
- 54:29Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 54:30Speaker 10: Maybe not Eldred.
- 54:32Speaker 5: I think they're done.
- 54:32Speaker 6: Eldred's on the line.
- 54:34Speaker 2: What's up? Eldred?
- 54:35Speaker 5: From the road?
- 54:36Speaker 10: I like that there is.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Look up.
- 54:48Speaker 13: Quick okay one? Uh, Mike touchdown it a few minutes ago.
- 54:53Speaker 9: I was listening to him it with Baker.
- 54:57Speaker 13: Baker and Tawn really dud And two, do you think
- 55:04Speaker 13: Ellen Wolfman try to turn the season around nixt year
- 55:07Speaker 13: after reevaluating this year and not take it off there?
- 55:11Speaker 6: Okay, good one, thanks Eldre.
- 55:13Speaker 10: Uh Well, I just te up the Javon Baker thing.
- 55:15Speaker 10: I mean, the coach has talked about he's got to
- 55:17Speaker 10: be more consistent. He's learning how to be a professional,
- 55:19Speaker 10: you know, those kind of things. So I feel like
- 55:21Speaker 10: it's a probably a behind the scenes season for him.
- 55:24Speaker 10: Unless injuries start to happen, they'll, you know, maybe give
- 55:27Speaker 10: kJ osb one another chance at some point. I don't
- 55:29Speaker 10: know about Taekwon. It's just it seems like they're cycling
- 55:32Speaker 10: through those guys with Booty trying to find an answer.
- 55:34Speaker 10: They're clearly going to play poke a lot. They like
- 55:37Speaker 10: Born Douglas is playing well, so those guys are locked in.
- 55:39Speaker 10: But I think it's it's trying to find those complimentary
- 55:42Speaker 10: pieces Lean Malvern.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Do you think he's using this season to figure out
- 55:46Speaker 5: what he has and then going about adding next year.
- 55:51Speaker 10: I guess I don't know. I don't know how to answer. Well, yeah,
- 55:53Speaker 10: I mean, it's not what you're always doing. I don't
- 55:55Speaker 10: know that's yeah.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Well, I mean Lee and malvern u K kind of
- 55:58Speaker 2: has a related question, and he says, looking forward to
- 56:01Speaker 2: attending the game, that's great. With May more willing to
- 56:04Speaker 2: throw the ball downfield, do you think we can sort
- 56:06Speaker 2: out who was worth keeping from our group of complimentary
- 56:10Speaker 2: piece wide receivers. I think it's a good point. Like
- 56:13Speaker 2: I think forget about throwing it downfield. I just think
- 56:16Speaker 2: having a better quarterback allows you to evaluate your wide receivers.
- 56:21Speaker 10: Right, yeah, I mean especially kind of concerning if Taekwon
- 56:24Speaker 10: can't get on the field with May and his ability
- 56:26Speaker 10: to throw the ball deep, because that's what you were
- 56:27Speaker 10: hoping Taywon Thorn was gonna bring.
- 56:29Speaker 5: To me, it's more about how the receivers play. Now,
- 56:32Speaker 5: I get that you might be able to get a
- 56:36Speaker 5: little bit more out of some of the receivers if
- 56:37Speaker 5: May is a better passer, like your passing game should
- 56:40Speaker 5: be better. But like I I think if you're a
- 56:43Speaker 5: good receiver, you figure out how to make an impact.
- 56:46Speaker 5: You know, like Garrett Wilson was every bit as good
- 56:49Speaker 5: with Zach Wilson throwing.
- 56:50Speaker 1: In the ball.
- 56:51Speaker 5: Yeah right, you know, now, could he be better if
- 56:54Speaker 5: he had a better quarterback, of course he could, you know,
- 56:57Speaker 5: if he somehow like unlocks this and gets on the
- 57:00Speaker 5: same page with Rogers, he should be better. But I
- 57:04Speaker 5: think you figured out the four guys that the Patriots
- 57:07Speaker 5: feel pretty good about right now and receivers, and I
- 57:10Speaker 5: think Mike is right what he just how he answered
- 57:12Speaker 5: the last question about that group. You know, I don't
- 57:17Speaker 5: think it's Taekwon. I don't think it's jayvon Baker. I
- 57:19Speaker 5: think it's the four guys that we talked about Born Polk,
- 57:23Speaker 5: Booty in Tomio Douglas. I think those are the four
- 57:26Speaker 5: guys they feel really good about right now. You know,
- 57:29Speaker 5: we'll see what happens the last eleven games.
- 57:31Speaker 2: I'm feeling really good about this food that just came.
- 57:34Speaker 2: So we're going to take a break. But before we do,

- 59:40Speaker 3: When someone accidentally threw away the school play costumes, oh no,
- 59:45Speaker 3: replacements were shipped with FedEx and with picture proof of delivery,
- 59:49Speaker 3: everyone could focus on the perfect opening night FedEx where
- 59:52Speaker 3: now it's next for residential delivery only.
- 59:58Speaker 14: Not even gonna chuckle with the good more All right,
- 1:00:00Speaker 14: that one miss, that's all good doing?
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:00:04Speaker 14: Look so turning the page on the Jacksonville a team
- 1:00:08Speaker 14: that you know, even though their record may not be
- 1:00:10Speaker 14: what they wanted to be, they still have weapons. All
- 1:00:13Speaker 14: over the place. They have weapons obviously as on the
- 1:00:16Speaker 14: defensive line, linebackers and really all three levels. Defensively, I
- 1:00:21Speaker 14: would say offensively, they also have you know, big players
- 1:00:24Speaker 14: over there, so we got to do a good job
- 1:00:27Speaker 14: you know, matching their intensity or they have to match
- 1:00:29Speaker 14: our intensity. And that's going to be you know, our
- 1:00:31Speaker 14: focus this week, and our focus also is we got
- 1:00:34Speaker 14: to start games faster, to start games faster, and that's
- 1:00:37Speaker 14: definitely a point of emphasis. Uh this week, I feel like.
- 1:00:42Speaker 11: Created this trip to London can kind of re energize
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: you guys and get you kind of going in the
- 1:00:47Speaker 11: right direction.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I hope.
- 1:00:48Speaker 14: So, you know, I would say, you know, looking back
- 1:00:51Speaker 14: on that last game that we just played, there were
- 1:00:54Speaker 14: times and things that you could pull out of that
- 1:00:55Speaker 14: game and be encouraged about in saying that, I think
- 1:00:58Speaker 14: we need to do a better job playing complimentary football,
- 1:01:01Speaker 14: and hopefully, you know, a long trip across the pond,
- 1:01:03Speaker 14: you know, helps us continue to build our relationships and
- 1:01:06Speaker 14: chemistry and and we start turning in the right direction about.
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: Short of schematics, game planning, what.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Can you do to try to produce better starts?
- 1:01:17Speaker 15: Those are things you.
- 1:01:18Speaker 14: Do this week, Yeah, so we you know, we have
- 1:01:21Speaker 14: a period in practice today where it's like nothing else
- 1:01:24Speaker 14: really matters. It's not about x's and no's and schematics.
- 1:01:26Speaker 14: You must have saw the practice script. But we have
- 1:01:28Speaker 14: a start fast period where you know, it's just offense
- 1:01:31Speaker 14: versus defense and we're rolling out of the gate and
- 1:01:34Speaker 14: that's the plan.
- 1:01:35Speaker 16: Maybe you mentioned a period of last week where you
- 1:01:37Speaker 16: guys open good, I'm good and it was a bliss period.
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: Is that something you've been trying lately or will this
- 1:01:41Speaker 10: be new today?
- 1:01:43Speaker 14: Now we've we've done this the past couple of weeks,
- 1:01:45Speaker 14: so it's it's not much different today. We'll do it
- 1:01:48Speaker 14: in the red area though, because I think that's a
- 1:01:50Speaker 14: place that we need to do a better job offensively
- 1:01:52Speaker 14: and defensively.
- 1:01:53Speaker 16: What did you see the last couple of weeks.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: It's a lot of success weak.
- 1:02:01Speaker 14: Look, he's one of our best route runners. He could
- 1:02:03Speaker 14: really run anything route and he does a great job
- 1:02:05Speaker 14: getting open. I would say, uh, now we're just we're
- 1:02:08Speaker 14: finding them and you know, the quarterbacks are making up
- 1:02:10Speaker 14: good throws to him and he's uh picking up a
- 1:02:12Speaker 14: lot of yards.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Any common denominators on the penalties.
- 1:02:16Speaker 10: Yeah, but the practice to.
- 1:02:22Speaker 17: Tend team, to clean.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: Up for experience time with that, that keeping the year.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: And that pid come between unforced errors and that's guys where.
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: You can tell they're just trying to get backs.
- 1:02:34Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean the common nominator is just a lack
- 1:02:37Speaker 14: of focus. You know when we you know, we we've
- 1:02:41Speaker 14: we're in the middle of the season now and to
- 1:02:42Speaker 14: have a penalty on the first play of the games
- 1:02:44Speaker 14: is just unacceptable and so it's a lack of focus.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: It's just real quick.
- 1:02:48Speaker 14: Sorry, Yeah, well you know there will I will say
- 1:02:54Speaker 14: this like there will be changes, uh for this game.
- 1:02:59Speaker 14: And so my message to the coaches and the players
- 1:03:02Speaker 14: really we want our most dependable players out there that
- 1:03:05Speaker 14: we can really count on. If you're gonna you know,
- 1:03:07Speaker 14: pre snap post snap penalties, we can't live that way.
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: So I guess to answer your question, is the personnel
- 1:03:13Speaker 14: part of it like a wake up call and that's
- 1:03:16Speaker 14: start period.
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: Is that like the top offense.
- 1:03:18Speaker 14: Versus I haven't see we did the last couple of weeks,
- 1:03:23Speaker 14: which you know, hopefully obviously didn't produce what we wanted to,
- 1:03:27Speaker 14: but maybe through doing it again at the work.
- 1:03:29Speaker 16: I mentioned changes this week just to clarify does that
- 1:03:32Speaker 16: mean in the starting lineup.
- 1:03:33Speaker 14: For a definitely be changes in the starting lineup. Look,
- 1:03:37Speaker 14: we got to put the best guys out there that
- 1:03:39Speaker 14: give us the best chance to win.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Are putting the tost spot not you want Bentley just
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: activated to any talky talky, But what have you seen
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: from NACBT precently?
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: You know, I would just say we have to be better.
- 1:03:50Speaker 14: We're not playing at the level that that we need to.
- 1:03:53Speaker 14: And look, Bentley's not coming back anytime soon, and so
- 1:03:55Speaker 14: we need someone to step up in that role. And
- 1:03:57Speaker 14: so whether you get that from the linebacker room or
- 1:03:59Speaker 14: the safety room, you just need to have, you know,
- 1:04:02Speaker 14: better production out of that group.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: Was the police report file? What to do with Christian.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: Barmore in the province or you guys are wear the
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: situation that you're addressed.
- 1:04:10Speaker 14: Yeah, we're aware of the situation. I had a conversation
- 1:04:12Speaker 14: with him this morning. But you know, like I said,
- 1:04:15Speaker 14: at least for this time here with you guys, I
- 1:04:17Speaker 14: just want to kind of focus on Jacksonville. Look, we'll
- 1:04:24Speaker 14: see as the week progresses. It's unfortunate again one of
- 1:04:28Speaker 14: our I would say, one of our most dependable offensive linemen,
- 1:04:31Speaker 14: you know, going down. It's definitely difficult in saying that.
- 1:04:35Speaker 14: We'll see how the week as to be.
- 1:04:37Speaker 18: Out of the practice today plays.
- 1:04:42Speaker 14: I'm not sure.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: Not sure.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Second year for the organization having an international game.
- 1:04:47Speaker 11: What did you learn about last year's experience that you're
- 1:04:49Speaker 11: maybe applying this week?
- 1:04:50Speaker 14: Is just say this, you know the schedule, the schedule
- 1:04:54Speaker 14: as far as you know, leaving tomorrow and making sure
- 1:04:57Speaker 14: the guys are fresh for Sunday. I thought we were
- 1:04:59Speaker 14: fresh last year. Uh, we just didn't play play well.
- 1:05:02Speaker 14: So that's what I learned is just the scheduling. It's tough.
- 1:05:04Speaker 14: It's tough to go, you know, to go east versus west.
- 1:05:08Speaker 14: But I think we have a good, good plan area.
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: When we're going down being you guys, look a move,
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: Mike back out the right time.
- 1:05:15Speaker 10: Special.
- 1:05:16Speaker 14: That's in consideration.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: What do you remember about twenty twelve?
- 1:05:20Speaker 14: I guess the Saint Louis rams and uh, not much.
- 1:05:25Speaker 14: Was that Stephen Jackson at twenty twelve?
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:05:28Speaker 14: Was that Stephen Jackson? That running back practice?
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:05:33Speaker 14: We won that game? Yeah?
- 1:05:34Speaker 15: What was the score?
- 1:05:36Speaker 14: Yeah it was Yeah, it was great. You know, honestly,
- 1:05:38Speaker 14: I remember more about after the game because we had
- 1:05:40Speaker 14: a good time before we got back on the plane.
- 1:05:43Speaker 16: If this baby were an eliot question that you guys
- 1:05:46Speaker 16: think about another tenter yesterday, what do you call them
- 1:05:48Speaker 16: three days or practice squad?
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: What practiced you to the guy?
- 1:05:53Speaker 14: Either, yeah, you know he has h he has upside.
- 1:05:56Speaker 14: I would say, once again, we look at the practice
- 1:05:58Speaker 14: squad as uh, you know, a place where we want
- 1:06:01Speaker 14: to develop those players so hopefully they become you know,
- 1:06:03Speaker 14: starters at some point or rotational players. I did learn
- 1:06:08Speaker 14: left handed snappers. It's a little bit different. I never
- 1:06:11Speaker 14: knew that, which I thought was interesting. But this guy
- 1:06:13Speaker 14: definitely has potential to be a good player for us.
- 1:06:15Speaker 11: The Bills and Jets added Devonte Adams and Namari Cooper yesterday,
- 1:06:19Speaker 11: we're the Patriots.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: Are you guys in on any of those conversations?
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:06:23Speaker 14: You know, those are conversations that we you know, when
- 1:06:25Speaker 14: I say we the scouting department, Elliott and his staff
- 1:06:27Speaker 14: and the coaches talk about I would say those those
- 1:06:30Speaker 14: teams that you're mentioning are at different points in there
- 1:06:34Speaker 14: in that cycle, you know, So we were we weren't
- 1:06:37Speaker 14: really in on that.
- 1:06:38Speaker 11: So how do you quantify growth from the first game
- 1:06:42Speaker 11: to the second game? Just moving forward for a guy
- 1:06:44Speaker 11: like Drake and just trying to see that progress.
- 1:06:47Speaker 14: Yeah, you know, for a guy like Drake or really
- 1:06:49Speaker 14: any other player, you want to see them get better
- 1:06:50Speaker 14: in practice, and then obviously you get to the game.
- 1:06:53Speaker 14: You want to see the confidence. You want to build
- 1:06:55Speaker 14: off the things from the previous game or the prior
- 1:06:57Speaker 14: game and just continue to you know, era the mistakes
- 1:07:00Speaker 14: that he made that in this pass game.
- 1:07:02Speaker 16: When you talk about starting fast, specifically offensively with Drake,
- 1:07:06Speaker 16: will there be any consideration move forward to just try
- 1:07:10Speaker 16: to maybe get him some easy rows to start out,
- 1:07:12Speaker 16: to sort of get him into the rhythm of the game.
- 1:07:14Speaker 16: How'd you feel like the early portion of the game plan.
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: Went for him this past week?
- 1:07:18Speaker 14: Well, the past week, I mean we had those run plays.
- 1:07:20Speaker 14: I would also say it was the first time that
- 1:07:22Speaker 14: a rookie quarterback, you know, making his first start, you
- 1:07:24Speaker 14: know center really being here five days. That was part
- 1:07:27Speaker 14: of it. But I thank you guys as you watched
- 1:07:29Speaker 14: the film, he got better as the game went on,
- 1:07:31Speaker 14: and that was important to see and so once again,
- 1:07:33Speaker 14: hopefully we can build off of that.
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: Keilanie said Monday, going aft, but when he saw film,
- 1:07:40Speaker 11: he said, we're pissed off and we have a lot
- 1:07:41Speaker 11: to prove. How much do you feel out resonate amongst
- 1:07:44Speaker 11: the entire group because you get.
- 1:07:45Speaker 14: Ready for this? Yeah to me, and I tell the
- 1:07:47Speaker 14: guys this all the time. It's about that action. It's
- 1:07:49Speaker 14: not about it's no more about like talking about what
- 1:07:52Speaker 14: we need to do. It's about what we put out
- 1:07:54Speaker 14: there on Sunday.
- 1:07:57Speaker 17: Can you talk about just being a foundation.
- 1:08:01Speaker 9: The year and heard what we have.
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: And then we kind of going through how do you maintain.
- 1:08:07Speaker 15: With this kind of building?
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: You're you're kind of win the cyle the main team.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: We urge you see the players today, but you need to.
- 1:08:18Speaker 14: Tame and and that's the tough balance. And I would say,
- 1:08:21Speaker 14: you know, from my perspective, we can win with the
- 1:08:23Speaker 14: guys in that locker room, and we just have to
- 1:08:25Speaker 14: go out there and do it. And starts this week
- 1:08:27Speaker 14: against Jacksonville.
- 1:08:28Speaker 16: You'll obviously see Matt jumps this weekend, just wondering, you
- 1:08:32Speaker 16: know how much it's all did the way things fell
- 1:08:35Speaker 16: apart or him weigh on you and deciding how conscious
- 1:08:37Speaker 16: to meet Drake Spelling and play and point the play.
- 1:08:40Speaker 14: I didn't really think about it that way. I think
- 1:08:43Speaker 14: every situation with a first year quarterback is its own
- 1:08:46Speaker 14: unique situation.
- 1:08:47Speaker 19: And so.
- 1:08:49Speaker 14: You know Mac is you know, I'm good friends with Mac.
- 1:08:51Speaker 14: I think he's a great guy and hopefully he turns
- 1:08:53Speaker 14: to a great quarterback.
- 1:08:54Speaker 17: Thanks, and now great moments in history.
- 1:09:19Speaker 20: I ended up turning around and selling reselling the ticket
- 1:09:21Speaker 20: on Ticketmaster and actually made more on one ticket than
- 1:09:24Speaker 20: I paid for the two. Right, So I get to
- 1:09:27Speaker 20: the game, you know, and and I and I sit
- 1:09:29Speaker 20: down and there's this really nice little old lady and
- 1:09:31Speaker 20: she's like, oh, how did you get tickets and Ticketmasters? Yeah,
- 1:09:34Speaker 20: I just I just bought mine. My husband, who is
- 1:09:36Speaker 20: a big Patriots fan, he passed away, and so I
- 1:09:39Speaker 20: felt like I.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: Needed to be here for it. And I'm just feeling
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: worse and worse than I like to this money.
- 1:09:44Speaker 20: And then it was so bad she couldn't even drive
- 1:09:46Speaker 20: to the game. She had to leave early to catch
- 1:09:48Speaker 20: the train to like get back, so she.
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: Had to leavening.
- 1:09:56Speaker 21: I just bought it on Ticketmaster for eight million dollars.
- 1:09:59Speaker 17: So that's an other great moment from.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: All right back in the pictures, Feltered is Paul me
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: Deuce alex Evan will be by any moment and we'll
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: be doing picks. What do you got jewels? You look
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: like you want to say something now.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: She wanted you to say jewels in the book.
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: She's talking.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, go ahead, yeah, eminem, I had all.
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: I had a feeling. I had a feeling that my
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: hoodie was going to end.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: I like him.
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: I like it. There you go. That's great. Our resident cartoonist.
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: Eight miles an eight mile and Everett arms are heavy. No, no, hey, fred,
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: I have my pitchion. I did a Paul yesterday. I think, uh,
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: I think it would be maybe a fun off season
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: game for the show of like what if we have
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: morel gather pictures of all the famous callers and we
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: have to try to figure out who's who's.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: That's a great idea. You do a live or you
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: could do like a test, because aren't really bad at that.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Whenever I here somebody for a long time and then
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I finally see what they look like, right, I didn't
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: think they look like.
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: You look like you know, I know you guys know
- 1:11:16Speaker 10: like five.
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: It's not like a fault, like I'm really bad at that.
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: How would you know?
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: Some people like probably better at it than me.
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: It's like when you're reading a book to like you
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: visualize the character and then they go make a movie
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: out of it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: Like right, I think that's maybe.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: I had the whole thing and the like they send
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: them to Morrell, we don't see them period. I think
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: you could do a lot off season game off season
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: in the middle.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Of our listeners know that actually you want their pictures
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: so that we can give them to security.
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: Just kid, We love our listeners.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: It was great.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: I was I was well on board.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: That's good stuff.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: That's fun, all right, Travis and West Virginia writes in
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: a podcast at Patriots dot Com. I hate to be
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: that guy, he says, but I have some criticism to
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: offer on Mike's new song. It's a great song, but
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: the line that says what was the mood is the
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: exact line from the Evans song. She should have found
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: a way to change it up. Also, what paperwork do
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: I need to fill out to request that Pat Nagawan
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: be temporarily suspended from the show. Nobody gets more hate
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: than Pat Nagawa when it comes to he can take it.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: Cousin Pat Yeah, Cousin Patty knows how to take it.
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: That's why I tease him so much.
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: He calls in early. He always kicks off our pregame show,
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: usually right, he's the one that's that's usually.
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: He's usually on the line before we come on. Fred
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: gets mad. You know it's rude. Fred calls it rude.
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: Like showing up to a dinner party before it starts.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Oh jeez, kind of John writes in I love how
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Mike's contribution to the show is being hands some laughs
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: at all Paul's jokes, no matter how bad they are,
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: and tells his Hollywood stories. And Evan waits to talk
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: until his song is played, like he's in a ninety
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: sitcom and he's waiting for the applause to die down
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: to read his lines.
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: God, I love this show. You guys have the Aura.
- 1:13:18Speaker 10: I love it Aura.
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: You guys know that one is that is that a
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: new things are saying Aura?
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: Like you just like he has.
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: Riz Will has said that about me for at least
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: a couple of years and I'm dead series.
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: He says, you have Aura. That's nice a.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: Couple of years. Oh yeah, I'm very kind of nice
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: to make fun of him because because I go with
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: the anti Aura.
- 1:13:38Speaker 10: But I've definitely seen some older women during the draft party,
- 1:13:41Speaker 10: thought you had aura?
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: How you doing? Not the only handsome one on the show?
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: Bro Seen the old ladies at the y m c
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: A the other day, the lift strong problem with Christian Gonzalez.
- 1:13:52Speaker 10: Okay, like like, I probably Christian.
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: They're like, how old is he? I'm old enough to
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: be his grandmother. I don't care.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: Oh man, he's got that, he's got that, he's got
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: the aura.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: I have to say.
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: I think he's a good he's a kid, He's very good.
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: He's going to be squah.
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: I don't speak Italian French.
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: See she did that. I don't speak Spanish. She's like,
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: that's French.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Beast. Joe writes in how many of the twenty twenty
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: five offensive line is on the team right now?
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: Including injuries?
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: So Andrews twenty twenty five offensive and when you.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Like, who's gonna still be here next year?
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: Andrews might not be. I don't know, I would say,
- 1:14:44Speaker 10: and when you that's the only one I feel confident about.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: I mean, I think I think the guys they drafted
- 1:14:51Speaker 10: will emerge. Yeah, I mean, I think they'll be great.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Question though I can make an argument for or again,
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: a lot of those guys.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: I don't know if they'll be starting. I think Leyden
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Robinson will we'll be.
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: On the team. Yeah, I thought he said start. Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: Robinson and Wallace will be on the team, so will.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Probably be on the team City, Yeah, City.
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: So I don't know about Strange only because of health. Yeah,
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: Like I don't know. If if he comes back and
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: he shows that he's healthy, then I would put him
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: in that group. If he hasn't nobody had left right?
- 1:15:20Speaker 10: Yeah, what if he can play center too? You know
- 1:15:22Speaker 10: like that? Yeah, I think one of those guys has
- 1:15:24Speaker 10: to emerge at left guard. I mean, that'd be the
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: perfect whether it's so Robinson, Michael Jordan, even like when
- 1:15:30Speaker 10: one of those guys locked that spot down and you know,
- 1:15:32Speaker 10: just so you don't have quite so many holes to fill.
- 1:15:34Speaker 10: But maybe Strange could be center. I mean, and in
- 1:15:37Speaker 10: the perfect world, you want Kate Wallace to be your
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: right tackle next year, I would say. I mean, but
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: it's asking a lot. He's been injured, and.
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not willing to say those guys will be starters,
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: but Fred's right, more than likely, you know, Mafi, that
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: situation that's rare. Yeah, year two, not good enough to
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: make the team. That's that's rare. He made the team.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Cut Parcels cut him.
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: Remember remember Eugene Chung?
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: Yeah when the second years into his career.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: It was two years he was a first round draft pick.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think it was the first year he
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: got caught.
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: I don't think I said his second year.
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: I don't think so. I mean I could look it up,
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: but I don't think he got cut in year two.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Okay, year three, Well it wasn't on the team. Wall
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: it's Marcel set an example, and he cut him.
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: But it's not the same thing, all right. If year
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: two and year three is not the same thing, all right,
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: Like that's a big difference. Look, get up, Mike is looking,
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: he's got it.
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: What year Eugene chunk?
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: But it also was a whole different regime too.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Like.
- 1:16:39Speaker 10: Okay, well please he was born on June fourteenth.
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: All right, Yeah, I didn't I do remember part. I
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: vaguely remember Parcells cutting him. I didn't realize it was
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: that quick though.
- 1:16:50Speaker 10: Well, he played fifteen games in nineteen ninety two as
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: a rookie, and then he got to the second year player,
- 1:16:57Speaker 10: and then he played three games in his third year.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: So it was third year, three games into his third yeame.
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: I'll give you, I'll give you the point.
- 1:17:04Speaker 10: Jacksonville, Indianapolis.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: They're cut in year three.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: In season, right at the beginning of the season. Y, Yeah,
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: it was a shaka. Tony writes in I don't know
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: why people want Baker to play. The coaches told to
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: see isn't getting it. You can't have him out there
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: running bad or wrong wrong routes with a rookie quarterback.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: He could make the situation worse and could hinder May's progress.
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I understand why people want to see him.
- 1:17:32Speaker 10: They want got some talent in college, and he showed
- 1:17:34Speaker 10: some explosiveness and I mean we certainly hyped him up
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: a little bit in trade.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: But they haven't seen really any explosiveness from the wide receivers.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: You know, you hat a little flash from Jamario Douglas
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: this past game. So they want to see if there's something,
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: you know, the guy that they haven't seen might be
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: something that they don't know. I mean, I get it. Yeah,
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: Now the emailer is right as to why he's probably
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: not playing. Those kinds of things are a problem.
- 1:18:02Speaker 10: I'm not wrong, though. There wasn't there a period of
- 1:18:04Speaker 10: like a week or a couple of practices where he
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: got a lot of like whoa, it's happening, Like.
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: You know how I feel about those?
- 1:18:11Speaker 10: Oh, I know, I know. That's why I was flashing back.
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: But I mean that's where you guys make fun of me.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: Expectations on guys correct, you know.
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: And that's why I say to Fred all the time,
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: I don't throw that stuff around because when it actually
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: is great, I want to have a place to go
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: to to talk about it.
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: He's even all the time.
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: Yeah, like Drake May on Sunday for example, Right, I'm
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: not going to call that a great performance because I
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: think he can play a lot better than that.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Jeffrey in Canada writes in about the challenges. He said,
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: the NHL has a good fix for challenges. If you're challenging,
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: you're wrong, you get a two minute penalty. Makes the
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: coaches really think before they challenge. NFL could institute a
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: fifteen yard penalty for failed challenges. That would be interesting
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: that sure it works.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: I mean it would be worse than just losing a
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: time out whatever it is. Yeah, yeah, you know, like
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: you'd have to really weigh the situation I have, you know,
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: second and three from the twenty if I'm wrong, and
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: all of a sudden it's you know second and eighteen.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Right yeah, I like that.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Sure, whatever we can.
- 1:19:17Speaker 10: Do with math right there implemented.
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: I struggle with that.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: I mean, there's nothing more frustrating for fans to see
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: your team get or not get a.
- 1:19:28Speaker 10: Call that last week game and with the third downs
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: on defense that first drive, it was just that's so maddening.
- 1:19:34Speaker 10: It's just especially when it's so specific to the situation
- 1:19:36Speaker 10: where it's like you think you almost got to stop
- 1:19:38Speaker 10: and then no, you don't. I mean, I'm sure it's
- 1:19:40Speaker 10: hard for the team too. It's the same emotional kind
- 1:19:42Speaker 10: of roller coaster where you think you've done something good
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: and then all of a sudden, I no, we got
- 1:19:47Speaker 10: laundry on the field.
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: Those are the ones that kill him. The third down
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: stops and then the flag comes out and there was
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: I think two or three on both sides in that game,
- 1:19:54Speaker 5: and that was just like, I just like, have a
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: play without a flag.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: I think the rest are better though, at the plays
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: in the end zone that you know they call him
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: touchdowns now because they know it'll get reviewed.
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: The score, right, you know, then we don't have.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: To So if it's close, call it a touchdown. Let
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: the review.
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: And I thought they did a good job. In the
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: Monday night game, Garrett Wilson caught one in the back
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: line of the end zone and it looked live like.
- 1:20:19Speaker 5: I was like, how did they not call this a touchdown?
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: They said it was incomplete and they never even had
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: to go to replay. They fixed it.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: That's yeah. They called from up top.
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: They called in and to heal.
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: He had two feet in a knee like it didn't
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: look all that close live. He drove an RV through
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: the and Frans got a good feel for the judgment calls.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: Jay writes, insue he's got something to do with the
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: military because it's got all this secure stuff on it, unclassified.
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: This is a classified, unclassified email.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: How awesome would it be if the Las Vegas Raiders
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: hired Belichick to coach next year with TB twelve his boss.
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: So do you guys really think that that? I mean,
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: I know everybody was writing about that yesterday talking about
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: you guys think that's a real possibility the Raiders going
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: to make a run at Belichick.
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: I don't.
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: I don't really know why not?
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: Why not because I don't think they're close to winning.
- 1:21:13Speaker 10: Oh, you're saying, but you don't think Bill would want
- 1:21:15Speaker 10: to go there?
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: You I don't know, why would you want to coach that.
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: They got the top coach?
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: Wouldn't you want to go?
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: It's going to be a coach for a year or two,
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: and you're not really I mean, yeah, I don't.
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: I don't think they don't think he can coach for
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: ten more years. Yeah, he's found the fountain of youth
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: and they have to coach for ten more tax for Nevada.
- 1:21:33Speaker 10: Yeah, what do you think that they the temperature test
- 1:21:36Speaker 10: is right now?
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Though?
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: For Bill getting back into coaching, Like, do you feel
- 1:21:39Speaker 10: like he's going to be back I still kind of
- 1:21:40Speaker 10: feel like he's going to be back next year.
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: My gut says, yes, he still wants to coach. Oh.
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: I think he definitely wants to coach. I think because
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: he's been openly campaigning with his seventeen media appearances per week.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: No, but is that because he wants to coach or
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: because he wants to figure out what he wants to do.
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: I think he wants to coach. Yeah, he said it.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: I mean he told Schefter right.
- 1:22:06Speaker 10: Can't wait to quit all his TV shows and just.
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: I uh, I don't know if he's going to get
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: a job, but we'll see.
- 1:22:13Speaker 10: I think see how some team will take a chance.
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: I just think that it changes. It's just it changes
- 1:22:17Speaker 10: the narrative about a team. And then all of a sudden,
- 1:22:19Speaker 10: your whole thing is we have Bill Belichick now, and
- 1:22:21Speaker 10: what's he going to do?
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: And the only people who won't like it in the
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: media in that town and who cares?
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: Right, Uh, Todd's in North Carolina. What's up, Todd?
- 1:22:30Speaker 15: Hey, guys, I was just wondering about when you guys
- 1:22:32Speaker 15: said that the preparation is like, there's could be many
- 1:22:36Speaker 15: layers that there could be the players preparation to be
- 1:22:38Speaker 15: a coach's preparation, but could also be maybe they didn't
- 1:22:41Speaker 15: think enough about the defense before to have started, because
- 1:22:46Speaker 15: you know, they just didn't. They don't have any backups,
- 1:22:48Speaker 15: They don't have anybody that's going to be able to
- 1:22:51Speaker 15: step in and do a lot of the things that
- 1:22:52Speaker 15: they need, and they seem to be constantly going through
- 1:22:54Speaker 15: injury issues. I don't know, what did you guys take
- 1:22:56Speaker 15: on that. I'm more worried now about the defense and
- 1:22:58Speaker 15: then no.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Offense like That's so we were talking yesterday because it
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: was it said that we weren't prepared.
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: Yeah, Dietrich Wise, Yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:07Speaker 10: I don't know. I just they haven't really had have
- 1:23:09Speaker 10: they had a big injury the last few weeks. I mean,
- 1:23:11Speaker 10: I think they've kind of been stable, am I not? Remember?
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: I mean.
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: Some good pieces, but but Dougar missed one game, he
- 1:23:19Speaker 5: came back, but you know Pepper's Barmore Bentley, that's I mean,
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: those are those are significant pieces that you lose right
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: in the middle of your defense. But I do I
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: agree with Todd's point. I think that the depth is
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: a little bit more lacking right now. But that's the
- 1:23:35Speaker 5: state of the roster. You know, your starters aren't as
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: good as they were either. You know, Jude On goes
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: and that puts you know, other people in in you know,
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: key On White as an example, would be one of
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: those guys that's playing more if someone went down, well,
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: he started off playing almost every down. So some of
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: the guys that you had his backups last year are
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: in bigger roles. Some of them played you know, whites
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: played reasonably well, so like that's that's not an issue.
- 1:24:03Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean I think, you know, you lose
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: a Lawrence guy and they really didn't replace him, you know,
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: and then when you lose bar More on top of that,
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: so now it's godchaw by himself, you know, whereas last
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: year was gotchaw Barmore and got three you know. So
- 1:24:22Speaker 5: that's a big difference. Chip away in the depth. Now,
- 1:24:25Speaker 5: all of a sudden, guys that filled in in situational
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: roles like a quality like Jeremiah Farms, they're asked to
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: be in more prominent roles. I think it's a trickle down.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I think we need to sign somebody named sig Freed,
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: Sigfried and Roy, Yeah up front, the white.
- 1:24:42Speaker 10: To replace wise Guy, the white tager.
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: What if you play you used to have wise Guy
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: and now we could have.
- 1:24:47Speaker 10: Played the Bengals in their white uniforms. That would be confusing.
- 1:24:50Speaker 10: Roy going against the white Bengal uniform is brilliant one
- 1:24:53Speaker 10: of them.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: My Dylan writes in Mike, I like your song. Your
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: role also includes quietly making that usually go unnoticed by
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: everyone other than Paul. In all seriousness, I've noticed a
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: huge fall off in Jonathan Jones wondering if you guys
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: see it too. I'm guilty of seeing him through the
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: twenty eighteen Kansas City Chiefs Tyreek Hill lens, but he
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: has no business covering those Tank Dell, Tyreek Hill, JSN
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: J Flower types.
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: In twenty twenty four.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Seemed to me that they pulled Gonzo from Diggs to
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: cover Dell after he was easily separating from Dell. I
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: think he meant from Jones, we also have to play
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: the Jets twice a year now, and they're going to
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: roll out Lazard, Wilson, and Adams. I also see him
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: getting blocked fairly easily on a lot of big runs.
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: He seems to be a liability in all matchup settings.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: And I think cornerback has been talked about as an issue,
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: but to me seems like an even bigger issue than
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: most think.
- 1:25:50Speaker 10: I don't know if it's that extreme, but I saw
- 1:25:53Speaker 10: him chasing a lot.
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: You know what he looks like to me? Like he's
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: not healthy?
- 1:25:56Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: Like, and it's just ten years or too.
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: All last years, been on the injury report a lot
- 1:26:02Speaker 7: this year and what is he thirty one? Thirty two now?
- 1:26:05Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: Good player who I think is kind of and he's
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: kind of a free agent this year anyway.
- 1:26:11Speaker 10: Yeah, when you talk about needs for next offseason, that's
- 1:26:14Speaker 10: something you have to have.
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: To I look to see if you know, a good
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: team is looking for depth in the secondary. Yeah, can
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: you get you know, a d even a Day three
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: pick for him?
- 1:26:24Speaker 10: Firstatile guy, I could probably play a couple, you know,
- 1:26:26Speaker 10: could maybe just be your slot receiver. Now, you know,
- 1:26:27Speaker 10: I don't know if he's still got that kind of
- 1:26:29Speaker 10: short area of quickness anymore.
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: But yeah, I like Jonathan Jones. I think he's been
- 1:26:34Speaker 5: a really good Patriot. He's another long line of great
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: stories of the undrafted guys that turn into you know,
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: really solid players, Malcolm Butler, Randall Gay, There's a lot
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: of corners that have done that over the years, really
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: really good career. I think it's coming, you know, I don't.
- 1:26:50Speaker 5: I'm not burying it yet, but I agree with the
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: email or I don't think he's been great this year.
- 1:26:54Speaker 10: Yeah, you wonder if he's one of those guys. Is
- 1:26:56Speaker 10: he part of the next great Patriots team.
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: That's why get into it as someone who was interested
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: in them, you know, Like I been talking about yesterday
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: with like Judon, if you had held on to Judon,
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: maybe you had them available now could you hold up
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: the Lions for Matthew Judon.
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: Oliver from the UK with.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: Some tourist tips for people visiting London for the game.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: The Ivy Asia at a shopping area called One New
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: Change is a fantastic restaurant within a stone's throw of
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Saint Paul's Cathedral. There are a ton of great pubs
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: around this area, and you are in the city where
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: business happens and lots of historic buildings can be found.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: I would suggest exploring the area around bank Station where
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: all the bankers and other financial services professionals work. Lots
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: of great pubs. To them, I work in the area,
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: and if you're a tourist, it's worth the visit.
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: Tell the girls on the trip about that.
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: And he says.
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: A lot of khakis and puffy fas.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: Puffy Fat says, if you're in the area, pints are
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: on me.
- 1:27:55Speaker 19: So okay, Fred, you should take them up on fine, Oliver,
- 1:28:00Speaker 19: let's fine, Oliver, and Rick says, I think it was
- 1:28:05Speaker 19: last week I heard people complaining about the pick segment.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: The pick segment is awesome. I love listening to Fred
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: try and explain the hook in the sharps. But I
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: do miss his displeasure with Denver seemingly always being at
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: home and Paul laughing hysterically.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: It makes me laugh every week.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: I'm a child, admitted, and the shuffling of the papers
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: when we go back to the Patriots game.
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: Where did that stuff?
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: I do that? I did it well.
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: Now that we're on TV, it's a little hard to
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: go back.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: By the way, is it me or does it seem
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: Tennessee as the college version of Denver?
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: They never seem to have a road.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: Game Tennessee, Oh, Tennessee Valls. That happens in college teams
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: will have like five six home games in a row.
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: Oh is that right?
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: Yeah, because like a lot of times, you open the
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: season with cup takes, and generally the big boys don't
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: travel to the cupcake, although Missouri did to U Mass
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: last week.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Anyway, it seems like Rick fashions himself as a sharp Yeah,
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: so he's got some tips Parlant's take the Patriots over Jacksonville. No,
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: this isn't a homer pick. I love my wallet more
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: than the team, I've heard Paul say, and rightfully so.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: That when you have two good teams that are closely talented,
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: grab the points. I think the same can be said
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: for two crappy ones. Also, Jacksonville has been favored three
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: times this year and has failed all three times against
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: the spread. Drake's figures to improve off of last week,
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: go with our boys in this one. This is two
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: out of three. Take the Lions over the Vikings. As
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: stated above, two closely talented teams, I'll grab the points. Also,
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: Detroit has covered seven straight contests against Minnesota, and finally,
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: take the Ravens over the Bucks. I don't listen to
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: that maggot infested turret Colin Coward, WHOA that's strong. But
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: a while ago, during one of my rare minutes of
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: listening to him, he said something that actually made sense.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Teams in the NFL NFC have had a hard time
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: against Jacksonville because they against jackson because they only see
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: him every four years. And look at this year. The
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Ravens won and covered over Dallas and Washington the points.
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: That is actually a good point. He has an unbelieved
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: you know, he was only I think he's lost one
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: game in his career against an NFC tam So yeah,
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: something like twenty one and one against the NFC. And
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: that's as good a reason as any.
- 1:30:20Speaker 10: I should say to Evan might be a little late today,
- 1:30:22Speaker 10: so I don't know if we want to handle it.
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: I at that, Yeah, we should start.
- 1:30:27Speaker 10: We'll get his picks at a little day just yet,
- 1:30:29Speaker 10: but we'll hurry them.
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: He'll be coming in hot for Catch twenty two.
- 1:30:32Speaker 10: Right, Him and Alex bicker and like an old couple.
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: Already should have heard them.
- 1:30:37Speaker 18: Media, it's like it was like it really is it
- 1:30:41Speaker 18: really is Alex's side though yesterday, oh really, Evan was
- 1:30:45Speaker 18: talking about how there's a great period if you your.
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: Registration expires, and I don't think there is. I don't
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: think if your registration expires, like there's no grace period
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: you have an unregistered vehicle, correct, And I said, Evan,
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: no go, but if they're nice, but there's no like
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: thirty no grace.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: There's a grace period when you first buy a car
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: in order to but.
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: Not if you already have a registered vehicle and it expires,
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: then you're driving an unregistered un.
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: Christian I think said it expired on October fifth.
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: Right, so like not long ago, but it's still.
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: See I could see if they wanted to give them
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: a break or whatever. But then you hear and you
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: watch them.
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: They did give them a break.
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: I think they were trying to give them a break.
- 1:31:29Speaker 10: I'm trying to save them all right.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: Well, it's that time of the way, Jewels, what are
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: the records?
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: I'm scared.
- 1:31:46Speaker 10: I thought a good week.
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:31:50Speaker 10: It doesn't look happy right now.
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: Oh no to the contract contr Evan and Paul wowow
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: what thirteen and one? Woowow, Mike and alex eleven and three,
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: and Fred nine and five with the spread Paul ten
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: and four alone in the top. Evan and Mike nine
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: and five, Fred seven and seven had a bad spread week,
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: you did, Alexandra five and nine.
- 1:32:25Speaker 7: Oh my god, as an all time bad.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: So that's like Paul like for the rest of the season.
- 1:32:31Speaker 5: So the standings, my strong week has gotten me to
- 1:32:35Speaker 5: the top of the overall fifty seven and thirty five,
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: followed by alex at fifty six and thirty six, Evan
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: fifty five and thirty seven, Fred fifty four and thirty eight,
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: and Mike fifty three and thirty eight. So we're all
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: it's like one game all the way down with the
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: spread Fred remains at the top with his feel for
- 1:32:57Speaker 5: the lead this year forty nine, forty and three, Evan
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: forty eight, forty one and I'm sorry Evan and Mike
- 1:33:05Speaker 5: forty eight, forty one and three, Paul forty seven, forty
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: two and three and thanks to Alix five and nine.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: Starting to hear paul footsteps though, starting to hear Paul's footsteps.
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: You got you got the theme of the week. Then yeah,
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: um down forty five, forty four and three. Still making money,
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: not good enough, still making money. Yeah, I am two
- 1:33:25Speaker 5: games behind Fred. Yeah, okay, you know what you guys
- 1:33:28Speaker 5: did you let me hang around?
- 1:33:31Speaker 10: We should have put them don't all right?
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: We got PD going tomorrow night. Don't let us win time.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: All right? So when Evan comes, well he can catch up.
- 1:33:40Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, because they don't know it's too
- 1:33:42Speaker 10: rapid fire.
- 1:33:43Speaker 6: But tonight eight fifteen on Prime Video, it's the three
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: and three Broncos at the two and four Saints.
- 1:33:50Speaker 5: The Denver Broncos by two and a half. It's in
- 1:33:54Speaker 5: the rare Road Tilts for the Broncos.
- 1:33:55Speaker 10: I figures this is still Spencer Rattler.
- 1:33:59Speaker 5: Yeah, she gets scrap.
- 1:34:00Speaker 10: Say look at that rat.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: Gosh, this is tough.
- 1:34:04Speaker 10: It's hard to pick Bonnicks.
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: And no receivers for the Saints. Elave and Shaheed are
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: both out. No Patrick Sortan for the Broncos, probably their
- 1:34:14Speaker 5: best player.
- 1:34:16Speaker 10: That's gross, you know what. And then this kind of situation,
- 1:34:18Speaker 10: I'm going to just go with a home dog.
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: It's amazing. A lot of guys not able to play
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: three days after they played loud, right.
- 1:34:25Speaker 10: Right, amazing.
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: Now it's weird.
- 1:34:27Speaker 10: Yeah, give me, give me the Saints at home. I'll
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: take the points two and a half.
- 1:34:30Speaker 7: I'm just gonna go with Vegas on this one. I'll
- 1:34:33Speaker 7: take Denver.
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: So I am going to take Denver as well. Those
- 1:34:40Speaker 5: receivers being out for the Saints, they seem like they've
- 1:34:43Speaker 5: been struggling even with those receivers, So I'll take Denver.
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: I think their defense is legit, even without certain.
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: So I was looking at reports and apparently the league
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: came to Denver and said, hey, listen, we got to
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: have your play on the road this week. And Peyton said, well, listen,
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: I used to that used to be home from me, So.
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: I'll allow that.
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: So makes sense. Yeah, So, but I will take the
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: Broncos playing a road game at home.
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: Yeah, Sean Payne tribute video coming and Island.
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: All right, we're gonna skip over.
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: Oh yeah, Paul do a nice Exaggeratriots.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: On Sunday morning, and we're gonna go to one o'clock Fox,
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: three and three Seahawks at the four and two falcon
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: Sneaky good game.
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: Here hot Atlanta Atlanta by three.
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: This one's for the Birds.
- 1:35:31Speaker 10: I feel like Smith looked like Paul's version that you
- 1:35:34Speaker 10: know Smith last week? Am I wrong? A couple of
- 1:35:37Speaker 10: bad interceptions? Uh yeah, I'm gonna go with Kirk Kirk
- 1:35:40Speaker 10: Cousins at home like that, like that. I like it.
- 1:35:44Speaker 10: I'm gonna take it. Atlanta by three.
- 1:35:46Speaker 7: I like it. I love it. Atlanta Atlanta.
- 1:35:51Speaker 5: Yes, I will take Atlanta as well both ways.
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: Okay, me too. I'm with you.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: One o'clock CBS one in Titans at the four and two.
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: Bills Buffalo by nine and a half.
- 1:36:06Speaker 10: Goodness gracious, yeah so big Amari Cooper debut at home
- 1:36:13Speaker 10: sighting for Buffalo.
- 1:36:14Speaker 5: Short week for Buffalo.
- 1:36:15Speaker 10: I'm definitely gonna take Buffalo to win. Is it going
- 1:36:18Speaker 10: to be that close?
- 1:36:18Speaker 5: Though?
- 1:36:19Speaker 10: With Will Levi's I'm gonna say no, I'm gonna lay
- 1:36:22Speaker 10: the points, all nine point five of them.
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: Please.
- 1:36:26Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna take Buffalo to win at home, but
- 1:36:28Speaker 7: short week I'll give Tennessee the points.
- 1:36:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought about that, but I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:36:33Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Buffalo both ways. I think Cooper gives
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: them a little bit of.
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: A boost now that Paul's bouncing back.
- 1:36:41Speaker 5: It's got the juice. That's the Bills both ways.
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: I will take the Bills, but I will take the points.
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: Just another now I feel better.
- 1:36:52Speaker 5: Keeps closing, so the Bills win five and two.
- 1:36:57Speaker 10: Any kind of window delay in the window closing for
- 1:37:00Speaker 10: what Amari Cooper to that delay the window closing, It's.
- 1:37:02Speaker 6: Just gonna make it that much worse for them. It's
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: gonna be pissed.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: Sunday at one CBS two and four Bengals at the
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: one in five Browns.
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: Cincinnati by six six.
- 1:37:19Speaker 10: Yeah, that's a big road favorite. Yeah it is. But
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: you know what, I think I get it right. I
- 1:37:26Speaker 10: think they're due for a division that SmackDown Cleveland, unloading Cooper.
- 1:37:31Speaker 10: Maybe not the last. I'll take Cincinnati and I'm gonna
- 1:37:33Speaker 10: lay those points to Cincinnati.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: Yeah, Cincinnati, Cincinnati.
- 1:37:41Speaker 5: So in all seriousness, I understand all the off field
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: stuff with Deshaun Watson, But what do you think is like,
- 1:37:49Speaker 5: why does he look so bad?
- 1:37:52Speaker 10: But what I don't know, it's a great it's a
- 1:37:55Speaker 10: great question.
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: I'm gonna take the Bengals both ways.
- 1:37:57Speaker 10: I was wondering, couldn't have been that bad right when
- 1:37:59Speaker 10: they gave him that, like, it can't be that, it
- 1:38:01Speaker 10: can't be that bad.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: And that he can focus on football anymore. He's got
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: more lawsuits.
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: Think that's a very cerebral position everybody.
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: I don't think he's focused on the game.
- 1:38:11Speaker 5: Maybe he doesn't care and you got that contract and
- 1:38:13Speaker 5: it's like, yeah, maybe I'll watch films.
- 1:38:15Speaker 7: I mean, if I'm him, I mean not that I
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: don't think he deserves everything coming towards him, but maybe
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: he's like f the world if everyone like unpaid, I'm
- 1:38:23Speaker 7: laughing all the way of the bank.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but wouldn't it be better if you were really great? Yes?
- 1:38:29Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:38:31Speaker 7: But has the ship, say.
- 1:38:33Speaker 5: Played the way he played in Houston, people would not
- 1:38:36Speaker 5: be focusing on his own field. I think it's the
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: fact that he's played so badly will not allow that
- 1:38:42Speaker 5: ever to go away, Not that it should go away.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: I'm saying that's the way. Unfortunately, that's the way it works, like, oh,
- 1:38:49Speaker 5: you know, winning is the best and come back and
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: you play well, oh oh yeah, it wasn't that bad.
- 1:38:54Speaker 5: What he didn't know I mean obviously doesn't change it,
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: does You got the Bengals friends, you know.
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: I hate it, but I just can't give this away.
- 1:39:02Speaker 5: I'm getting that close to you that you no longer.
- 1:39:04Speaker 6: Give me the lap.
- 1:39:06Speaker 7: Jommy was looking like Joey B last week. I think
- 1:39:09Speaker 7: Joey is looking like.
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: I can't pick Cincinnati.
- 1:39:13Speaker 6: Joey B has been like him for a while.
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: He's been greatly since since the first game.
- 1:39:18Speaker 6: He is the reason that they've got just frustrating games.
- 1:39:21Speaker 10: He's going to go off on them.
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: One o'clock CBS. The five and one Texans coming off
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: a huge win. They might have an emotional against the
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: four and two Packers. I don't know if they can,
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: you know, get th game.
- 1:39:37Speaker 5: Here, back up one of two really good one o'clock games.
- 1:39:41Speaker 5: I think Houston at Green Bay Packers by three.
- 1:39:47Speaker 10: I think I did really like him, like I thought
- 1:39:49Speaker 10: I'd save you the troup. I think it's like recency bias,
- 1:39:51Speaker 10: especially when I see a team in person, but I
- 1:39:53Speaker 10: just really impressed with Houston. Joe Mixon maybe a little
- 1:39:56Speaker 10: bit more healthy. I'm gonna take Houston, and I'll take
- 1:39:59Speaker 10: the points on the road, please, I'm going to take
- 1:40:01Speaker 10: that upset too.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I think Houston is a better team than Green Bay. However,
- 1:40:08Speaker 5: I am going to take the limbo sort of aura
- 1:40:13Speaker 5: to use Alex's work, and I'll take the Packers.
- 1:40:16Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: I think the Packers are a little bit better than
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: I give them credit for. But Texans probably the best
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: team in the league.
- 1:40:23Speaker 5: Probably know probably possibly put up forty one at Foxborough.
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: Exactly, and I think that one's going to propel them
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: to big, big things this year.
- 1:40:33Speaker 6: So I'm going to take the Texas.
- 1:40:34Speaker 5: I did not expect to be on an island on
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: that pick.
- 1:40:36Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 1:40:37Speaker 7: Well, we'll see what Evans says.
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: One o'clock Fox the two and three Dolphins are at
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: the three and three Cults. The Bobby Brady there.
- 1:40:46Speaker 5: Colts by three. It's Peter Brady, is it? Come on?
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: Get it right? When it's time to change.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: You've got to.
- 1:40:55Speaker 10: Yeah, you wonder how Miami spent their their bye week. No,
- 1:40:59Speaker 10: tuists still will like to come back can you believe
- 1:41:01Speaker 10: that Paul He's gonna try to come back and play
- 1:41:02Speaker 10: That's ridiculous.
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: I don't know about you, but I am not comfortable.
- 1:41:06Speaker 6: I think people should pick it.
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: I'm not comfortable with that. I can't watch it. I
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: think people it's about me.
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: People should cancel the Dolphins.
- 1:41:14Speaker 10: I don't think he's gonna be back this week though, so, uh, yeah,
- 1:41:17Speaker 10: I'm gonna. I'm gonna go with Indie. I don't feel
- 1:41:19Speaker 10: great about it. Sound like Jonathan Taylor to be a
- 1:41:20Speaker 10: little bit better, but yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna take
- 1:41:22Speaker 10: Indie La the points.
- 1:41:24Speaker 7: I'll take Indy. I'll give Miami the points.
- 1:41:28Speaker 10: She's taking the hook.
- 1:41:30Speaker 5: I am gonna take Indy as well. This is one
- 1:41:33Speaker 5: of those games that Miami is gonna, you know, kick
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: themselves because of their situation. I think this is a
- 1:41:39Speaker 5: game they would absolutely wineh with offense and they're not
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: gonna have enough. I'll take Indy.
- 1:41:44Speaker 6: I'll take Indy as well.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: One o'clock on Fox, the four and one Dolphins are
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: at the five and oh Viking.
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: Okay, so they're not the Dolphins, they're the Lions.
- 1:41:57Speaker 6: Dolphins. Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: Ions are at the five and o Vikings.
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: This is the other one o'clock game that I foreshadowed,
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: the Vikings by one and a half.
- 1:42:08Speaker 10: It's another good game. This was the other one. I
- 1:42:10Speaker 10: see you're referring to as one o'clock. Yeah, and I
- 1:42:14Speaker 10: know he is Aiden Hutchinson. I hope he's doing well
- 1:42:17Speaker 10: down there Texas. Hope you're all right. Uh, I'm gonna
- 1:42:20Speaker 10: take Detroit. I just you know, I still as well
- 1:42:23Speaker 10: as Minnesota's played. I just I can't. I can't buy
- 1:42:26Speaker 10: Sam Donald just yet. I'm gonna take Detroit and I'll
- 1:42:29Speaker 10: take those points every week. And I know Minnesota is
- 1:42:32Speaker 10: my buggaboo. They always are, Like how many games they won?
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: Five? Five and all coming off of bye Evan's back.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Okay, double times?
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: All right, before we get to Evan, let's just finish
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: up this game.
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: Okay, Alex, take Detroit. Okay, why don't you make your
- 1:43:03Speaker 5: first pick? Detroit is at Minnesota, Vikings by one and
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: a half. Also, I am going to take the Lions
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: if for no other reason, then I'll be rooting for them,
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: especially without Hutchinson.
- 1:43:17Speaker 6: I'm going to go with the Vikings school.
- 1:43:21Speaker 5: Okay, So Evan, just to let you know thirteen and
- 1:43:25Speaker 5: one last week you were and you oh and you,
- 1:43:29Speaker 5: my friend, I.
- 1:43:31Speaker 21: Didn't know thirteen and one is like, okay, fine, that's
- 1:43:35Speaker 21: why we write it on our paper so we can tell.
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: Footsteps.
- 1:43:40Speaker 10: It's weeks week, so Harry comes that words.
- 1:43:47Speaker 6: All right, Evan, what happened at practice?
- 1:43:49Speaker 5: All right? Good news?
- 1:43:51Speaker 21: First, the good news is Marcus Jones is back at
- 1:43:53Speaker 21: Patriots practice.
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: On the Marcus Jones is back at practice.
- 1:43:57Speaker 21: So that he popped up on the injury part with
- 1:44:00Speaker 21: an illness along with his groin injury yesterday, So I
- 1:44:03Speaker 21: guess is that the illness was mostly the blame for
- 1:44:06Speaker 21: that d NP. And then the bad news still no
- 1:44:10Speaker 21: remondro Stephenson, so he's still not practicing with the foot
- 1:44:14Speaker 21: injury of Darien Lowe also not practicing with an ankle injury.
- 1:44:18Speaker 21: So it looks like those two guys are going to
- 1:44:20Speaker 21: be out. And if I had to guess, we might
- 1:44:23Speaker 21: see Trey Jacobs at left tackle this week with on
- 1:44:27Speaker 21: WHENU going back out?
- 1:44:30Speaker 10: So I don't feel great.
- 1:44:31Speaker 5: Would it be Jordan at left guard and Robinson at
- 1:44:34Speaker 5: right guard or would so be going? If I had
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: to guess, yes, that would be said two different things.
- 1:44:40Speaker 21: I would Oh, I thought I was going with the
- 1:44:42Speaker 21: first thing.
- 1:44:43Speaker 5: Okay, so Robinson at right guard.
- 1:44:44Speaker 21: Yeah yeah, so Jacob's Jordan's combination.
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: Would be my guess on back outside, yes.
- 1:44:54Speaker 21: Yeah, out of necessity, it seems like this time, and
- 1:44:57Speaker 21: I'll just throw out there that everybody was watching Drake
- 1:45:01Speaker 21: May like it was the Zibruta film.
- 1:45:03Speaker 5: We look fine, perfectly fine.
- 1:45:06Speaker 21: Did not have any braces, not have any limp or
- 1:45:09Speaker 21: any noticeable issues with wheelchairs? Nothing, absolutely nothing. But that's
- 1:45:13Speaker 21: just from the eye tests.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: You have any MRI residue, have any.
- 1:45:17Speaker 10: Not touching that, but I keep your residue to yourself.
- 1:45:20Speaker 21: I don't just based off of us watching him move around,
- 1:45:23Speaker 21: he looked fine.
- 1:45:25Speaker 6: Was ben Volan there?
- 1:45:26Speaker 19: He was not?
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: So guys couldn't gang up. So let me ask you,
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: you know, as as the cadre of media people, When
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: you have a media person who makes a report on
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: his own, like Violin did, he was the only one made,
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: do you guys like all go to women and say, hey,
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: where did where did you get that from?
- 1:45:45Speaker 21: Is there like a It's more it's more kind of
- 1:45:49Speaker 21: behind his back than anything where it's like we all
- 1:45:52Speaker 21: go to each other and are you hearing that?
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: Are you hearing that?
- 1:45:54Speaker 21: You know that sort of thing? And uh, at least
- 1:45:58Speaker 21: as of right now, he looks fine. That's that's all
- 1:46:01Speaker 21: I'm saying out at practice.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: If you were to choose one media member who is
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: a regular participant in these in the gaggle, who would
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: you say is the alpha dog?
- 1:46:12Speaker 21: The alpha dog? I don't know that's a good question.
- 1:46:16Speaker 21: I mean, like he doesn't necessarily carry himself.
- 1:46:19Speaker 6: Who sets the mood?
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: Like I don't do the day to day anymore.
- 1:46:21Speaker 21: Fred, he doesn't because he's such a nice guy.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: But like Ree's he'e.
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: Is the big lead by example guy.
- 1:46:30Speaker 21: Yeah, like he's not going to come out and with
- 1:46:32Speaker 21: the you know, the chest puffed out or anything. But
- 1:46:34Speaker 21: in terms of like who do who do you it's.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: Not Andrew Callahan the fifth Oh No, not him, Okay, I.
- 1:46:43Speaker 5: Would say, but I think it's you know, maybe Tom Curran,
- 1:46:47Speaker 5: But he's not really a dated.
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: Isn't Callahan the head of the pf W p B
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: A he leads from he is?
- 1:46:55Speaker 21: And uh, I would say that that he's near the
- 1:47:00Speaker 21: top of the list because of his his affiliation with
- 1:47:03Speaker 21: the ped whatever you.
- 1:47:05Speaker 10: Re leads the questions off, he says, the tone he
- 1:47:07Speaker 10: asks the things that you know something, it's funny. Hell right,
- 1:47:10Speaker 10: he gets the good question in. But then I'll also
- 1:47:12Speaker 10: ask some random one that you didn't even see coming about,
- 1:47:14Speaker 10: like one of the penalties that I didn't even really
- 1:47:16Speaker 10: pay attention to.
- 1:47:17Speaker 21: So my favorite Mike Grease is Friday Afternoon with Jeremy Springer,
- 1:47:22Speaker 21: and it's just a core group of of us diehards
- 1:47:26Speaker 21: that will stay for Jeremy Springer at like two o'clock
- 1:47:29Speaker 21: on a Friday afternoon and Mike Grease is asking him
- 1:47:32Speaker 21: about L three and the Personal Protector and this I'm impressed, Like,
- 1:47:37Speaker 21: I don't even I don't even pay attention to that.
- 1:47:39Speaker 7: Those two guys have to be like a match made
- 1:47:41Speaker 7: in heaven with enthusiasm, Oh yeah, positivity.
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: Special Teams even on the All twenty two or they
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: just like cut off.
- 1:47:46Speaker 21: No, you know, it has its own film. It's only
- 1:47:49Speaker 21: The cool thing about the Special Teams film is that
- 1:47:51Speaker 21: it's so short. So if there is a play that
- 1:47:54Speaker 21: happens on Special Teams that's worth breaking down, like a
- 1:47:56Speaker 21: punt return or.
- 1:47:57Speaker 5: Something like that, it don't get to it.
- 1:47:59Speaker 21: Yeah, it takes you a third seconds.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:48:01Speaker 5: Should the game?
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: Should we zip Evan through it? Are you up for
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: a lightning round?
- 1:48:06Speaker 5: I'll get it.
- 1:48:06Speaker 6: I want to get it out.
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: Okay, do you want to do anyway? You want to
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: do it?
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: Put him on the spot.
- 1:48:11Speaker 5: We can. We can get to it.
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: After that, we'll do it. Okay.
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll continue from where we left off, which is
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: one o'clock on Fox. The three and two Eagles at
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: the two and four Giants.
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: Philly by three.
- 1:48:26Speaker 10: Uh yeah, that sounds about right to me. Uh tight
- 1:48:30Speaker 10: divisional battle. I like Philly. Uh on the road. I'll
- 1:48:33Speaker 10: lay the points, Philly, Philly, Dilly.
- 1:48:37Speaker 21: I'm also taking Philly, Philly. But I don't I don't
- 1:48:39Speaker 21: like how the Eagles look right now?
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: Could you nick taking humans? Bringing human shields?
- 1:48:46Speaker 21: Conferences, yelling in the crowd like get your man.
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: Anyways, I'm going to do it. I'm going to take
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: the Giants.
- 1:48:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm going to take the points. I'll take the Eagles,
- 1:48:59Speaker 6: but I will the.
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: Points, which is what I tend to do when I'm
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: not sure. All Right, now we move to four h
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: five on CBS. The Tom Brady owned two and four
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: Raiders are at the one in four Rams let's discuss.
- 1:49:15Speaker 5: The Lar by six and a half.
- 1:49:18Speaker 10: Wow, that's a big spread.
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: I agree.
- 1:49:20Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the Rams, but
- 1:49:22Speaker 10: I'll give the Raiders those points. I'll pull a Fred on.
- 1:49:24Speaker 7: That, Aidan O'Connell again, I will retweet Mike.
- 1:49:31Speaker 21: I like the Rams both ways. I don't think there
- 1:49:33Speaker 21: are one in fourteen. I know they've had a bunch
- 1:49:35Speaker 21: of injuries, so I like the Rams both ways.
- 1:49:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Lar both ways as well.
- 1:49:39Speaker 5: And because of that spread, I just feel like it's
- 1:49:42Speaker 5: the Fred thing. Seems like a big spread for a
- 1:49:45Speaker 5: one win team to be fair, you know, same as
- 1:49:47Speaker 5: the Patriots game coming up later. I'll take I'll take
- 1:49:51Speaker 5: the Laar.
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I hear you, Paul. But what the Sharps are
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: not taking into consideration is Tom Brady getting into that
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: locker room before the game.
- 1:49:59Speaker 6: No giving them more.
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: It's about honor, your honor, your family's honor.
- 1:50:05Speaker 5: You don't really think he's gonna spend a whole lot
- 1:50:06Speaker 5: of time in Vegas. I do.
- 1:50:09Speaker 2: I think that he's already invested in that basketball team.
- 1:50:12Speaker 5: And I mean right now, yeah, And I think broadcasting.
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: And I and I hear that they're getting the ownership
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: group together for the NBA expansion team, and I'll bet you.
- 1:50:21Speaker 6: He's part of it in my sports group.
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: Ah, So I'm gonna go with the Raiders.
- 1:50:28Speaker 6: Both ways.
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: I don't I don't really have to say one way
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: because they're dogs.
- 1:50:34Speaker 19: No.
- 1:50:34Speaker 5: Well, but if you wanted them to win outright, yeah,
- 1:50:36Speaker 5: they're gonna win. Yeah, I got you.
- 1:50:38Speaker 10: Okay, more more points.
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: Four or five on CBS, the one in five Panthers
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: are at the four and two Commanders.
- 1:50:46Speaker 5: Commanders by eight.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: Who would have think whould have thought going into the
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: season that the Commanders would be eight point favorites in
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: any games?
- 1:50:54Speaker 10: Not me, that's for sure.
- 1:50:55Speaker 19: Uh.
- 1:50:56Speaker 10: Yeah, I think they bounced back after they lost to
- 1:50:58Speaker 10: Baltimore last week. Jade Daniels, I'll take them. Am I
- 1:51:02Speaker 10: gonna allow all the eight of those points?
- 1:51:04Speaker 6: Yes?
- 1:51:04Speaker 7: I am retweet again.
- 1:51:08Speaker 21: Yeah, I'm just going.
- 1:51:12Speaker 10: I do. I like to I like to tell him
- 1:51:13Speaker 10: up and then.
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: Well that's good.
- 1:51:17Speaker 6: He should Paul Paul Morel.
- 1:51:21Speaker 5: That's the only so you can look at all the
- 1:51:23Speaker 5: crossouts and stuff. You absolutely should make sure that I
- 1:51:26Speaker 5: get it right.
- 1:51:28Speaker 6: When it comes.
- 1:51:29Speaker 5: So I am going to take Washington as well, but
- 1:51:31Speaker 5: I will take the points. Eight points is a lot, So.
- 1:51:34Speaker 6: I got that.
- 1:51:34Speaker 10: Like Green Advisor on he's doing the thing in the morning.
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: I'll go with the Commanders as well. Both ways four
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: on Fox and Fox Deportes. The other undefeated team, the
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: Chiefs fed five and oh are at the forty nine
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: Ers three.
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: And three Super Bowl rematched. Despite what Fred Kirsch says,
- 1:51:52Speaker 5: Niners by one and a half.
- 1:51:54Speaker 10: I h I'm not gonna overthink this one. I'm just
- 1:51:57Speaker 10: going to continue to take Kansas City and I will
- 1:52:00Speaker 10: give them a point and a half.
- 1:52:01Speaker 6: Forty nine Ers are favored by a point and a half.
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: I'm gonna take San Francisco. I feel like the Chiefs
- 1:52:09Speaker 7: have to lose at some point.
- 1:52:11Speaker 21: Yeah, I'm gonna do the same thing.
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: I don't have to take the forty This Chiefs team, like.
- 1:52:17Speaker 21: Yeah, I'm gonna take the forty nine Ers as well.
- 1:52:18Speaker 21: I feel like when you play the Super Bowl rematch,
- 1:52:21Speaker 21: sometimes the team that lost, they're the more pissed off team.
- 1:52:24Speaker 21: They're the team that's more motivating team.
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: This is why Evan and I go thirteen and one.
- 1:52:28Speaker 10: Individual it was one week, let it go.
- 1:52:31Speaker 5: He's right, darn good it's pretty darn good, Mike, and
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: we lost different games too. I will take the Niners
- 1:52:37Speaker 5: to win at home.
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: Anyone back from the Niners, like, why are what's going
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: on there?
- 1:52:42Speaker 21: No, McCaffrey's still.
- 1:52:43Speaker 5: McCaffrey's still.
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with the Chiefs, Chiefs Patrick twenty Sunday Night,
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: NBC Universo and Telexito's and Peacock Good. The two and
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: four Jets are at the four and two Steelers.
- 1:53:00Speaker 5: So I will say Pittsburgh is doing what Devin mccordy
- 1:53:05Speaker 5: wanted to do.
- 1:53:05Speaker 10: Put Russell Wilson in.
- 1:53:07Speaker 5: They have not They have not announced their quarterback. Po
- 1:53:11Speaker 5: certainly sounds like Russell Wilson's going to start. I think
- 1:53:13Speaker 5: Justin Fields had a press conference who said, you know,
- 1:53:16Speaker 5: I didn't play well enough, this wouldn't be an issue.
- 1:53:20Speaker 5: So for all those I say, like generally that's not
- 1:53:22Speaker 5: how it's done well, Pittsburgh is doing it the way
- 1:53:25Speaker 5: Devin McCarty suggested.
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: The Jets could be.
- 1:53:27Speaker 6: Looking ahead.
- 1:53:28Speaker 5: The Jets are favored by two and a half. I
- 1:53:32Speaker 5: just got that.
- 1:53:35Speaker 10: You're killing me, Fred.
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: I hate Jets by two and a half.
- 1:53:38Speaker 10: I hate this game.
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: I just I hate this game. I hate my thought everybody, No,
- 1:53:41Speaker 5: I just I.
- 1:53:42Speaker 10: Hate the thought of like putting Russell Wilson in. Like,
- 1:53:44Speaker 10: if I'm a Steelers fan, I don't want to see
- 1:53:45Speaker 10: Russell Wilson. I want to, like, let Fields work through it,
- 1:53:48Speaker 10: a young guy possibly, like what are we doing?
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: The only chance that Pittsburgh has it getting to another
- 1:53:54Speaker 5: level is if Justin Field somehow.
- 1:53:56Speaker 10: Clicks so in that regard, they're stupid. I'm in the
- 1:54:00Speaker 10: of course, but I don't know for sure. They might
- 1:54:01Speaker 10: not be doing. But I'm gonna take the Jets. You know,
- 1:54:03Speaker 10: maybe they get a little boost with DeVante Adams reuniting
- 1:54:06Speaker 10: him with Aaron Rodgers. But I will say I think
- 1:54:08Speaker 10: there are like a lot of people, a lot of
- 1:54:10Speaker 10: whispers that Aaron Rodgers has washed so I but I'm
- 1:54:13Speaker 10: gonna take the Jets anyway.
- 1:54:14Speaker 7: I agree with what Mike said.
- 1:54:17Speaker 21: I'm gonna take the Jets both ways as well. I
- 1:54:21Speaker 21: do think they get a little jolt from DeVante Adams
- 1:54:23Speaker 21: reuniting with Rogers. I think it'll be short lived. But
- 1:54:26Speaker 21: I like them this week to put up some points.
- 1:54:28Speaker 7: Me too, Jets a little.
- 1:54:30Speaker 5: Bit, and I like the way the Jets offense looked
- 1:54:32Speaker 5: the other night. I thought that that was the best
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: semblance of offense that they've really had. They missed the
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: two short field goals, which were killers. Too many penalties
- 1:54:42Speaker 5: which I think stop some of their drives. They cleaned
- 1:54:44Speaker 5: some of that up. I think they they could be
- 1:54:46Speaker 5: all right offensively.
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Jets as well.
- 1:54:51Speaker 5: I did not see that coming Fredi, but I.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: I think what Tomlin's doing is he's kind of giving
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: a little respect to Russell Wilson, but at the end
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: of the day he's going to decide Justin Fields is
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: going to start.
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: I hope.
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: So eight point fifteen Monday Night on ESPN, ABC, ESPN two,
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: ESPN plus ESPN Deportes, the four and two Ravens are
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: at the four and two Buccaneers.
- 1:55:20Speaker 5: Good game, Baltimore by three and a half. First of
- 1:55:23Speaker 5: the Monday Night twin Bill again thoughts.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: I like hate it, I like it, it don't like it.
- 1:55:28Speaker 5: I like it, don't like it.
- 1:55:30Speaker 10: I don't really watch either of them, but I think
- 1:55:31Speaker 10: it's kind of fun to wake up in at two
- 1:55:33Speaker 10: games to review. I'm going to take Baltimore. Thank you
- 1:55:36Speaker 10: to our friend for calling in and the mentioning Jackson's
- 1:55:38Speaker 10: records the NFC, but I was going to go with
- 1:55:39Speaker 10: them anyway. I think they got they got a good offense,
- 1:55:43Speaker 10: and Derrick Henry is pretty good.
- 1:55:44Speaker 7: So yeah, Baltimore and Baltimore.
- 1:55:48Speaker 21: Yeah, I'm gonna take Baltimore both ways. I think the
- 1:55:51Speaker 21: Buck's just too inconsistent to stick with the team like
- 1:55:53Speaker 21: ballmoh he's been Bacon.
- 1:55:55Speaker 6: What do you have?
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: Five touchdown passes last we also threw three picks in
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: the same four four touchdown three picks.
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: Big play, big play quarterback teams. I'm going to take
- 1:56:04Speaker 5: the Ravens both ways as well.
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: I will take the Ravens as well. That was a
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: good nugget about that Colin Coward had about the Ravens
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: record against the NFC.
- 1:56:15Speaker 5: Well, the nugget was that he feels like it's because
- 1:56:18Speaker 5: the NFC teams do not see.
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: Right and that's why.
- 1:56:20Speaker 5: And the record is too fast. You know, I can't
- 1:56:22Speaker 5: see when you have a feel for the league like
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: Evan and I. You know these things.
- 1:56:26Speaker 6: Okay, I appreciate this, guys.
- 1:56:28Speaker 10: I'm going to take more. I know, if I ever
- 1:56:31Speaker 10: have a good week, I'm going to do this.
- 1:56:33Speaker 5: Fred Fred did go undefeated one week.
- 1:56:36Speaker 10: Maybe I'll go sixteen and o once.
- 1:56:40Speaker 5: I don't know that. I don't know that that's ever happened.
- 1:56:42Speaker 5: It will fourteen and oh what is happening? I think
- 1:56:44Speaker 5: Fred did it?
- 1:56:46Speaker 6: It was it was a bye week.
- 1:56:48Speaker 5: Yeah, like like last right, thirteen and one.
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: Now nine o'clock on Monday. And I remember back in
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: the day, Paul, when Monday night football games always started
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: at nine o'clock.
- 1:56:56Speaker 10: That's too late.
- 1:56:58Speaker 6: Kickoff? Would that was on the regular.
- 1:57:03Speaker 5: We just do seven o'clock.
- 1:57:05Speaker 10: People go to bed night games?
- 1:57:06Speaker 21: Yeah, nine o'clock clock.
- 1:57:07Speaker 10: Can we just do seven o'clock? What's wrong with seven?
- 1:57:09Speaker 5: Nine o'clock on ESPN, Grandpa? I need to heat up?
- 1:57:12Speaker 6: Wait, hold on, hold on dinner.
- 1:57:14Speaker 10: The game starts, you're by ten.
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: So this double header, the second game is only on
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: ESPN Plus.
- 1:57:21Speaker 6: Is that true?
- 1:57:21Speaker 10: Oh that's all I'm I subscribe.
- 1:57:24Speaker 5: Oh I did not know that, So I should be
- 1:57:25Speaker 5: watching a play that.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: Is not truly a double header.
- 1:57:28Speaker 6: In my mind, it's a secret.
- 1:57:29Speaker 5: The second the director of content.
- 1:57:33Speaker 6: I don't have a streaming I don't have an ESPN Plus.
- 1:57:35Speaker 21: It's actually not his title.
- 1:57:37Speaker 10: He's the vice president of content.
- 1:57:38Speaker 5: Bizarre of content does not watch games.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: Fair No, I watched a prime peak. I have Peacock,
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: I have a Nfilm Network, NFL Networks.
- 1:57:47Speaker 5: Why do you not have ESPN Plus.
- 1:57:48Speaker 6: I don't know why. I think I got it once.
- 1:57:51Speaker 5: You have Disney.
- 1:57:51Speaker 6: I do have this bundle bundle. It's the same bundle,
- 1:57:56Speaker 6: but you have to bundle to bundle it.
- 1:57:58Speaker 5: I have got a plus.
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: I have. It's Disney Plus.
- 1:58:01Speaker 21: Yeah, so it's ESPN Plus only streaming or streaming for
- 1:58:05Speaker 21: everybody but locally on Fox if you live in those markets. Right,
- 1:58:08Speaker 21: So it's an ESPN Plus game.
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: So it's not a doubleheader for me because I will
- 1:58:12Speaker 5: never at nine o'clock go to a stream no way,
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: no black by two and a half.
- 1:58:20Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm on on the on the lack on this one.
- 1:58:23Speaker 10: I'll take the lack lay of the points.
- 1:58:25Speaker 7: Gotta hurry, I'll take the charges. I'll give Arizona the
- 1:58:28Speaker 7: points at home.
- 1:58:30Speaker 10: Tight one.
- 1:58:32Speaker 21: Hmm. I'm gonna take the Cardinals in this game.
- 1:58:35Speaker 5: I just like the Cardinals.
- 1:58:37Speaker 21: I do like the Cardinals. I like watching them play.
- 1:58:39Speaker 21: They've been in rough a little bit last week against
- 1:58:42Speaker 21: the Packers and Lambeau, but they're back home. They're back
- 1:58:44Speaker 21: in their dome. I like the Cardinals.
- 1:58:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not necessarily a believer in the Chargers yet,
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: but I'm gonna take the lack. This is a big
- 1:58:52Speaker 5: game for them if they want to sort of get
- 1:58:54Speaker 5: themselves in the wild card picture and the AFC.
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Cardinals in this game,
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: you know, just because because they don't need a reason.
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: They've kind of disappointed me. I thought their offense was
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: going to be top five in the league, and they've
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: really kind of dropped off the cliff there offensively. But
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: Chargers something not right with them when they jump out
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: to a twenty three nothing lead.
- 1:59:21Speaker 5: They looked great last week and they just kind of
- 1:59:23Speaker 5: like whole hummed it in the second half.
- 1:59:24Speaker 10: Jim Harbo was having like harp palpitations. So it's weird, Okay,
- 1:59:29Speaker 10: all right.
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: So I will go with the Cardinals in that game.
- 1:59:32Speaker 2: Now we have to hurry, We have to make way
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: for Catch twenty two shortly. So let's go back to
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: Sunday morning, nine thirty NFL Network. Both teams won and
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: five Jaguars and.
- 1:59:44Speaker 5: Patriots Jacksonville by five and a half, five.
- 1:59:47Speaker 10: And a half, ridiculous, disrespectful to Drake May and the Patriots.
- 1:59:52Speaker 10: I just think if the Patriots can get a little
- 1:59:53Speaker 10: bit of a lead on them and make the Jacksonville
- 1:59:56Speaker 10: defense kind of get a little bit like in their
- 1:59:58Speaker 10: own heads.
- 1:59:58Speaker 5: Quitty.
- 1:59:59Speaker 10: Yeah, I like the Patriots. I think I think Jacksonville
- 2:00:02Speaker 10: we have every reason. I think they're gonna move the
- 2:00:04Speaker 10: ball to two. But I like New England. I like
- 2:00:06Speaker 10: the points. Give me the Patriots. I'm gonna go higher.
- 2:00:10Speaker 10: I'm gonna go twenty seven to twenty four.
- 2:00:14Speaker 7: I would love to take the Patriots. Just this Remandree
- 2:00:16Speaker 7: stuff scares me, and I think it might get worse
- 2:00:19Speaker 7: before it gets better With Drake, I don't know. I'll
- 2:00:23Speaker 7: take Jacksonville. I don't like it. Pat I know we'll cover.
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: That's nice.
- 2:00:34Speaker 7: What's the spread from up to five five and a half.
- 2:00:37Speaker 7: Let's do twenty seven to twenty four.
- 2:00:40Speaker 6: You're just sucking to Karam Milton. That's good.
- 2:00:45Speaker 5: That was.
- 2:00:47Speaker 7: Oh oh well, he got her first name wrong, so
- 2:00:51Speaker 7: I didn't know what he was talking about.
- 2:00:56Speaker 5: Kendra.
- 2:00:57Speaker 21: I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I.
- 2:00:59Speaker 7: Don't suck up to anyone.
- 2:01:01Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, I'm shoes no more.
- 2:01:04Speaker 21: I'm looking forward to this game because I don't think
- 2:01:06Speaker 21: there's gonna be much defense in this game. I think
- 2:01:09Speaker 21: both offenses have good matchups and that Jaguars defense is
- 2:01:13Speaker 21: dead last and pretty much every passing category in the
- 2:01:16Speaker 21: NFL this year. And I like the matchup for Drake May.
- 2:01:19Speaker 21: It's an island game for the Patriots, and I think
- 2:01:21Speaker 21: that Drake May is gonna have a little coming out
- 2:01:23Speaker 21: party in this game. I'm going thirty to twenty seven.
- 2:01:27Speaker 21: Patriots close one across in the pond, game winning drive
- 2:01:32Speaker 21: by Drake May. Welcome to the NFL.
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:01:38Speaker 5: This spread, to me, really stood out one and five
- 2:01:41Speaker 5: against one and five with a five and a half
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: points spread. I thought that was odd. I'm going to
- 2:01:45Speaker 5: take Jacksonville to win. I feel like they know something,
- 2:01:47Speaker 5: but I will take the points. I'm gonna say twenty
- 2:01:52Speaker 5: three to twenty. I understand both defenses think, but I
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: just can't. The Patriots at some point are going to
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: score that amount of points and then I'll start to
- 2:02:01Speaker 5: treat them like they can do that. But I need
- 2:02:03Speaker 5: to see it first.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: Well, I had a premonition, and the premonition was the
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: Patriots scoring in the thirties. So when Evan said thirty.
- 2:02:11Speaker 2: I said, oh, he's onto something thirty one for the Patriots,
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: twenty four for the Jaguars.
- 2:02:19Speaker 10: We see a game like that in a while.
- 2:02:22Speaker 5: All right.
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's it for this edition of Patriots Unfiltered
