Trump Pitches a Fantasy While Reality for Americans Gets Bleaker · 2 Men In Black and White: An Honest Conversation

• MARK HAYES (00:01.422) All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Another exciting edition of Two Minute Black and White, an honest conversation. We're going to get real honest with you. Folks, it's getting expensive out there. Stay indoors. Gas in Atlanta, Georgia, $3.50 already for regular unleaded. I remember just about two, three weeks ago, it was down like $2.20, $2.30 in some places. So yeah, we're pretty much screwed, folks. Brock Enelis joins me now from Harlem, USA. Brock, talk to me, my friend. We had an affordability issue when Trump 2.0 started. Now it's really getting ugly. Brock Ganeles (00:44.894) Yeah, you know, they always calculate inflation as core inflation minus those volatile prices of food and energy. Well, they're not volatile, right? They just keep going up. Unfortunately, food and energy are the two items that we all spend on every single day. So gas and oil prices will be up. We'll feel that in our heating oil. Everyone will feel it at the pump. And of course, all the inputs. MARK HAYES (01:11.95) me. Brock Ganeles (01:13.992) to food production, fertilizer, diesel for the farm equipment, right? Just all the inputs are going to get more expensive for everyone in the supply chain, which means prices inevitably will continue to go up. for the foreseeable future. And we all know they go up a hell of a lot faster than they come down when things settle down. everybody is just going to be more squeezed for an indefinite period of time. Yet somehow Trump was trying to spin higher. MARK HAYES (01:46.158) Oof. MARK HAYES (01:50.35) Okay. Brock Ganeles (01:56.075) energy prices as a benefit to the US economy, maybe because a couple of his MAGA oil execs are going to make out okay on this, but not the 99 % of us, certainly. For most of us, we're just going to be poorer because our costs are going up. MARK HAYES (02:11.425) NO! But that's the purpose. That's the goal. Inflict pain upon the American public. Make it as hard as hell for us to fight back. I can't believe the American people are such wimps. We are wimps right now, allowing soft and squishy Donald Trump, who's never done an athletic thing in his life, much less win a fight, The only fight he's ever won is against a teenage girl when he was a grown ass man. Why are we letting this happen? Why are we not going to the streets and tearing this thing down? These people don't know what they're doing. They're not smart. None of them are any good at their jobs. Carolyn Levitt sucks at her job. Pete Hegson, where's our Schwarzkopf's, our Powell's? Where are? the generals that actually know how to put war plans to get, if you're gonna go to war, get somebody that actually knows how to do it. It's actually studied it. Pete Hegseth has studied the bottom of Budweiser bottles for the last 20 years. This guy's a joke just because he's served doesn't make him qualify. He ain't qualified to do shit. And now we're all screwed for it. We're screwed because we're racist pricks. That's why America is screwed right now. Right? Before it used to just cost us money. Now it's costing us money, quality of life, education. Think about the ramifications on our education system, It's killing us. We were dumb already. Think about how dumb we're going to be for the next two generations while we try to write this. Brock Ganeles (04:07.346) I was going to ask you why, why, why do you think MAGA is hanging in there day after day, just swallowing? Well, why is the left still not tough enough? Okay. We'll get back to that. But why is MAGA day after day, just swallowing what they know is absolute total bullshit from Trump, right? We bombed in elementary school on the first day of the war. was one of the first targets. So all that planning, we got to pick the day, right? We didn't have to start this war of choice until we were ready. And day one, we bombed an elementary school. No fog of war yet. There was no fog yet, right? We were just barreling in and bombing, okay? But just 48 hours ago, Trump was absolutely bullshitting us. MARK HAYES (05:00.398) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (05:00.446) that it might have been, he was trying to pin it on the Iranians that they did it to themselves, that somehow they stole Tom Hawk missile and shot it at their own elementary school. That's what he tried to sell us 48 hours ago. days later, we know it's all horse shit, right? Some, just enough facts came out. It was pretty obvious to anyone that it was us who did it. So now at least some. Some people in the administration are acknowledging that Trump will never acknowledge it. Two days later, he's trying to bullshit us that soaring energy prices are good for the American economy because there's a couple of companies benefit off of it. and in between that, he basically called oil tanker operators wimps because they weren't willing to go through the straight of hormones during a war. MARK HAYES (05:50.027) and die. Brock Ganeles (05:51.655) and yet a bunch of the ones that have gotten bombed. And then he got to telling us how this is all in our best interest and it's really working out for us. I mean, why is MAGA swallowing it? You answered it, you said, because they're getting their white supremacy vision of America. Why is the left swallowing it? Why are we, why are we still taking it? MARK HAYES (05:55.404) Yeah, yeah. MARK HAYES (06:03.576) Thank you. MARK HAYES (06:09.944) Sure. MARK HAYES (06:13.752) The leftists were going in because they don't think there's anything that can be done, obviously. I mean, that's the only reason I can come up with. I mean, why else would we just sit there and take this? I mean, brah, this is what, the ninth military action in a year? Like, why would we swallow? Yo, the one percenters kids are not the ones out there getting all hacked up and torn up by these missiles, by these drones. know, Iraq, Iran has 90 million people. What do you think you're gonna do? Kill your way to peace and freedom? You're not. Iran has major. technology. See, this is the problem with having dumb people at the helm. They're taking these smaller-ish countries for granted. You think they don't have nuclear scientists in Iran working on all kinds of tools, getting ready just for this moment? They've been preparing for this. There are reports now coming out saying they've been preparing for 20 years. And it sure shows. Because they are striking some very strategic US properties in the Middle East. And they want you to believe that they're just bombing willy nilly. They are not. They are not. They are playing chess while Donald Trump is sitting over here trying to figure out How many in a row do you have to get to win at Connect Four? Because he has no clue. Brock Ganeles (08:01.898) And as someone mentioned in, as someone we just mentioned in the chat, as a reminder, we have now come to confirm that Russia has been aiding Iran in terms of identifying American assets for them to target. So Trump's rationale was to lower sanctions against Russia. now Russia gets to sell more energy and gets to boost their economy. So they there are, although they're targeting U S assets, they're an economic winner of this war in Iran because their coffers getting filled with energy that they had been in essence banned from selling. So how, how is Maga world justifying the fact that Russia simultaneously is targeting us and benefiting? MARK HAYES (08:38.958) Mmm. Brock Ganeles (08:58.538) And Trump will still position them as our ally against Ukraine. But America, we're just all swallowing this because Trump's decision is our decision, right? He represents us. We can't divorce ourselves from what he's doing. We're Americans. He's the leader of America. MARK HAYES (09:06.968) With Mikkoff. MARK HAYES (09:21.9) Yeah, yeah. And we got your boy, Witkoff, hosting a Russian delegation with Jared and a bunch of other clowns who we don't know who they are, but we're all assuming that there's a transaction taking place because everything the Trump regime does is transactional. You have to pay for everything with them. And there's only a few people benefiting, right? So the women... and the men who put on the uniform to defend this country are out there getting hacked up and torn up and killed and targeted so Donald Trump and his cronies can make a little bit of fucking money. But MAGA, hey MAGA, by the way, these are your boys coming from Arkansas, coming from Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana. Brock Ganeles (10:01.98) and targeted. MARK HAYES (10:22.35) They're coming from red states too people. Out of all these people that are dying, you think they're only blue state soldiers? They're not. They're not. These are your sons and daughters. And Brock, we are spending, you how much money we are spending launching missiles that aren't hitting anything? Billions, billions. of dollars being wasted by inept and incompetent morons at the helm in the Defense Department, in the White House, and, you know, these pussies in Congress. Excuse my French ladies. Brock Ganeles (11:08.22) in the State Department, the bungling of the CIA, and you can go up and down. up and down the list, the best in finances out like, you know, saying, you know, we're going to need countries to band together to solve this. Like, meaning like an international consortium like NATO. what a good idea. so NATO. Yeah. Yeah. And Alliance of nations who all kind of get together and figure things out. Now we decided that we didn't give a shit about that. Like we're, you can't hire. MARK HAYES (11:14.894) Yeah! MARK HAYES (11:30.348) Right. Brock Ganeles (11:42.185) the dumbest, most selfish, most narcissistic person in the world and handing the keys to the greatest army and military in the world and the number one economy in the world and think that you're gonna have positive outcomes. I mean, this was inevitable. It's almost like it's amazing. got through Trump one dot. without the whole fucking world order falling apart in America, going into free freefall, but it's not, this isn't that unpredictable that we have American decline. MARK HAYES (12:13.614) Well MARK HAYES (12:26.006) No, no bro. Hey, hey, there were adults in the room last time. John Bolton, Miles Taylor, even Bill Barr. Yeah, John Bolton. Brock Ganeles (12:35.37) Yeah, you had John Kelly and you had, um, Millie. You had, Millie running shit. Dan Coates. MARK HAYES (12:41.602) Yeah, you got nothing but yes men this time around. Yes women. And if you think that Donald Trump is smart enough to govern a nation like this one, he couldn't make money in a casino. How many times do I got to say it? Couldn't make money in a casino where people hand you money and expect absolutely nothing in return. Right? Who? Who goes to the casino and complains that they lost all their money in the slots? Nobody. Nobody. Because if they had won, they wouldn't be complaining. He couldn't do that. He's not smart. He hasn't read a book in who knows how long since Mein Kampf, right? And how is that helping us? Brock Ganeles (13:32.041) My worry is that if you're MAGA, you're still hardcore Trump. There is no line to what you're willing to accept from him. So there is no atrocity that's too much for you. There is no economic hardship that's of others that's too much for you. That there's really no one. who at this point has stayed involved and supporting the MAGA movement that can be peeled off. Like you've gone this far. You're so deep into this. You want your white supremacy so much that there is nothing we can do, particularly on the international stage, that's going to rattle you at all. And that's why this is almost like, this is just like a... At a control train going downhill, like what's to even to slow it down? There's no mechanism to slow it down unless we protest in mass numbers and truly disrupt the operation of American society and American government. And we, the people have not been willing to do that yet. MARK HAYES (14:49.144) Right, right. I don't know what the breaking point is. We're bombing elementary schools. Gas is going to, I saw a prediction earlier today of $8. Who's gonna be able to go anywhere on $8 gas? Not me. I'm not leaving the house with $8 gas. And imagine what goods and services are gonna cost when gas gets that high. You know what it's gonna cost to go to the grocery store? Even Aldi is gonna be expensive, LIDL. All the discount stores are gonna have prices through the roof because all that cost is being passed on to the consumer. Not Donald Trump, because he's got somebody that shops for him and it comes out of our pocket. But he doesn't take a salary. So that's the good thing about this president. Fucking buffoon. And he's looting us too. So, you know, all the free money that he's made gives him the opportunity to not have to worry about grocery prices, to not have to worry about what it costs to get your kid to the soccer game, you know, that's 60 miles away because we got to play travel soccer. You know, it really is mind blowing that we can't decide on just rooting this clown out of here. You know, we're already talking about who's running for 2028. There ain't going to be no 2028. All right, we might be speaking Iranian or Farsi come 2028. Brock Ganeles (16:27.37) Even the midterms, right? Seven and a half months away, nine and a half months before any new electee would actually take their seat. I mean, how are we possibly? going to hold any semblance of America together with nine more months of, by the way, Trump's in mental decline, his mental deterioration. It doesn't get better from here. It gets worse every day. MARK HAYES (17:02.471) Every day. Every day. Brock Ganeles (17:05.372) So you think it's bad that he lies about bombing an elementary school. Like that's, that's nothing compared to what we're going to get from him as we go down the road and he becomes his dimension narcissism, like collide with each other. And he just is, you know, is absolutely totally off the rails. in his rants, his anger and just is like, you know, nonsensical. MARK HAYES (17:18.03) Thanks Brock Ganeles (17:34.099) you know, communication ability. So... MARK HAYES (17:36.508) Mm-hmm. Brock Ganeles (17:39.433) And there's no one around them to even slow the pace. Some of them are cheering it from the sidelines. mean, the left has to stop even thinking as a governing. I think we've said this a few months ago, but we haven't talked about it recently that the left has to stop thinking about themselves. The Democrats have stopped thinking of themselves even as a political party and start thinking about themselves as like a resistance force. Yeah. Because like just playing for elections, that's like with playing within the MARK HAYES (18:03.852) The opposition. Yes. Brock Ganeles (18:09.356) parameters of a scheme that's that's that's deteriorating around us like We have to, we have to start thinking about this as like, you know, in civil warfare mode, not in that we're going to use the same protocols and rights and election process that has worked for 250 years. It's not, it's not going to work in 2026. We need something more extreme. The, the commentary, like we need a, we need a mobilization force, not just to get out the. MARK HAYES (18:39.148) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (18:45.93) vote. MARK HAYES (18:47.276) Yeah, we need a full-blown resistance. We need to match the MAGA energy with the energy of the Freedom Caucus. We need to be out here. You know, when they show up at the polls with that dumb shit, we need to show up at the polls with even dumber shit because we cannot have our votes discounted. We can't afford to lose one vote. one single vote, not even in Texas. Brock Ganeles (19:20.35) But that's just the election, Mark. You're still, we're still talking way down the road. Like before we get to that, I mean, we just need civil disobedience on a large scale. MARK HAYES (19:22.69) What? Brock Ganeles (19:34.795) Like we cannot just continue to go along as if we all live in a society that's not being ruled by Donald Trump and his cronies. Like it's kind of how we're living our lives, right? We're kind of still pretending like it's not as bad as it is. And. It's worse probably even than we know because we're only talking about the shit that we know on the surface. The corruption that's going on behind the scenes is probably even worse than we could even ever imagine. It's just like the Epstein files were appalled by what we've seen. MARK HAYES (20:12.962) Right, right, right. I mean. Brock Ganeles (20:15.338) You know? There's a shit in there. There's shit in there. They're probably like... They're gonna curdle our blood, right? MARK HAYES (20:20.598) Yeah, there's some shit in there that is disgusting. I mean, think about it. In New Mexico, they're going over the property trying to find some of those bodies that may have been, you know, graped out there and disappeared. Brock Ganeles (20:37.226) They might, but they might have waited too long. know, might be too much to, you know. MARK HAYES (20:40.992) Right. Through that. Yeah, 20 years is a long time, you know? Brock Ganeles (20:47.07) Yeah, I mean, maybe someone will get lucky and find something, but I mean, there's a good chance they don't find anything. I mean, that's what happens when you, allow a couple of decades. MARK HAYES (20:56.728) Do we need anything else? Yeah, do we need anything else? What else do we need to prosecute the people that we're seeing in these photos? What else do we need? Like, is this not a crime? Or is it only a crime for certain people in America? Brock Ganeles (21:11.998) What else do we need on Jan six to bring people up for treason? Right. A gallows wasn't enough funding the people to go there wasn't enough. Like we didn't, you know, we never quite have enough, right. Or we don't think we have enough or we're just afraid of the fight. MARK HAYES (21:31.0) I think we're afraid of the fight. I think Merrick Garland was afraid of the fight. Here you have all of Trump's top officials on the run. Pammy Jo Bondi had to move to a new location to live from. Stephen Miller had to move. All these top morons are moving because they're afraid of the threats that they're getting. Brock Ganeles (21:57.588) From who? MARK HAYES (21:58.894) Well, they're apparently international, right? know, Pammy Jo was getting some death threats from South America because she wants to prosecute Maduro, right? Because we snatched, we disappeared him. Now we're prosecuting him. And for what reason again? What are we doing down there now? Are we nation building? Are we regime change? What are we doing? Brock Ganeles (22:24.966) And that's We said fentanyl, even though none of it comes from there. don't, you know, my just question is like, you know, I don't know. Everyone gets threats, right? If you're in the public sphere, there's going to be threats. It's just so easy to lob out a threat anonymously now in this day and age. Right. So I don't, I just didn't know what are they, they think they getting threatened by Antifa or is it, there, are there MAGA crazies that want like Bondi to release the Epstein files that are threatening her? That's why I'm just curious. MARK HAYES (22:29.901) Right. MARK HAYES (22:39.232) Right. MARK HAYES (22:47.874) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (22:57.164) everyone think, you where are the threats coming from? How do we just acknowledge we're all under threat and that's just the world we live in because it's the world we created and there's no place you can really go to hide. So, you know, you kind of just have to roll along and go on with your your business. So that's my way of saying I have no sympathy for hearing about the threats like just. MARK HAYES (23:21.78) no, don't look at me as a sympathizer. Think about how long the list is of people who want to threaten Stephen Miller. Brock Ganeles (23:25.672) like Yeah. Can't handle the threats. Then just resign. Resign. Yeah. Don't, don't, don't take the job. So I don't, I don't care about, you know, I mean, the threats we can't, we can't control the threats. Every person has a keyboard and a fake handle and they, anyone can throw a lot about a threat any day. I don't even know how that even comes into play anymore. MARK HAYES (23:31.68) stay up to date. Yeah. Take it easy. MARK HAYES (23:39.692) No, I could give a shit. MARK HAYES (23:50.145) And they And they didn't give a shit when President Obama, you know, was getting a record number of death threats on a daily basis. You didn't hear about him moving around, not showing up for stuff, you know? Jeez, Louise. Brock Ganeles (24:06.896) AOC has been threatened every single day since the moment she got elected. Comes with its territory. Right. Jasmine Crockett has been threatened every second of every day. Okay. I mean, I guess she has to make the decision that she's going to live with that, with those threats hanging over her or resign the job and go live a quiet life in the country. Right. It's just a choice that everyone now in the public eye has to make. MARK HAYES (24:12.28) Period. Same thing. Yep. MARK HAYES (24:35.604) Right. Brock Ganeles (24:37.13) Like if we add enough viewers, right? One of these days, we're gonna get a threat in the chat, right? Once the wrong person notices that we're saying the wrong thing. MARK HAYES (24:45.11) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (24:50.25) But what and it's going to be some handle, right? Like Jackass 127 blah, blah. We have no fucking idea who that person is. No one does. So they lob a threat out. What are we going to do? Shut down the podcast. Then? Okay. Oh, we got threatened. guess we better go shut up and hide under like we're not. So that's same thing with Pam Bondi. I don't care. You're getting a threat against you. I mean, it comes with the territory. MARK HAYES (25:03.949) Right. MARK HAYES (25:16.802) Yep. Yep. You wanted the job. You got it. And you're doing what Donald Trump is leading you down the road to do. And Donald Trump will throw you to the wolves as soon as you're no good to him. So there's always that, you know? And apparently Donald Trump is not happy with your boy, JD Vance. So apparently Marco ass kiss Rubio is moving up the ranks there. And just got it. And of the Stephen A. Brock Ganeles (25:19.048) You want the job? Yeah. Brock Ganeles (25:42.985) What ranks? What ranks? All the people, all the people who get to think they're going to be the candidate in 2028, but in reality, Trump's not going to allow there to be an election. So like we're all fighting, you know, for a fake crown that will never be handed to them. But okay, let them go fight over it. Good for Rubio that he's moving up the ranks. MARK HAYES (25:53.93) Exactly. MARK HAYES (26:04.364) Right, right. And, and, you know, little Marco also got an endorsement from Stephen A Smith. So that ought to take him far. That ought to be. Yeah, maybe maybe he'll be number two on the ticket with Marco. You know, keep it brown. Maybe Magga will love that. Yeah, the Cuban guy and the soul brother. I don't. Brock Ganeles (26:33.822) He'll run it. He'll run as Mark Rubio, though, not Marco, right? He'll all the Ted Cruz and. MARK HAYES (26:37.192) Exactly. Yeah. Jeez, Louise, it's ridiculous. I can't take it anymore. You know, the stupidity is really wearing me out, and I just don't have any more patience for these fuckers. We need to get them out of office now. And we need to go revolution. We need a revolution. How many more of our young men and women? How many? How many people did we lose in Afghanistan? We didn't learn our lesson, right? And this isn't even weapons of mass destruction. They can't even tell us what this is. We have no idea why we're bombing Iran. most of us have drawn the line between the PP tapes, the Epstein files and the Epstein strikes in the Middle East. We're wagging the dog. The number of Epstein file searches has decreased by like 80 % the last week on the Google. But then again, I don't trust the Google. I don't trust the Google, right? Because they are, you know, in lockstep with the Trumpsters. So, you know, who knows? Who knows? I know those Epstein files ain't going away because we haven't seen the best of the best shit yet. Like you said, there's some stuff in there that's probably gonna make us throw up. I mean, we've already seen enough to throw up, but I'm sure there's more that's worser than what we've already seen. Brock Ganeles (28:13.864) Yeah, it wouldn't be fighting so hard to suppress it if it wasn't really, really bad. You know, I mean, they've scrubbed it and what we've seen, you know, has already appalled us. So like, you know, what's behind it? And somebody's got those video tapes that Epstein took and, and, and Mossad, the Israeli spy agency, you know, those tapes that somebody has. Yeah. The video that somebody has that we really haven't. MARK HAYES (28:18.222) really bad. Yep. Yep. MARK HAYES (28:30.518) Yeah. Yeah. MARK HAYES (28:35.34) Right. And nauseam. There's a lot of video. A lot of video. All those mis-tages and all the, yeah, the happy endings. Also today we got the old Dominion shooting. One dead, two injured. The shooter is dead. The temple is real. Car, I drove the car into the synagogue. I mean, I've driven past that synagogue probably a hundred times when I lived in Michigan. Brock Ganeles (28:56.04) Guy rammed the car into this tenner guy? Yeah. MARK HAYES (29:05.068) right outside Detroit there in West Bloomfield. Beautiful part of the world, beautiful community with some of the nicest people that you have ever met. And we've got, you know, anti-Semitism. Brock Ganeles (29:17.766) And he ran over like a security guard there, which tells you already that they had a security guard there, right? And that somebody shot him, right? So there is someone around with some weaponry as well, you know, lesson learned after Pittsburgh, right? So we're not safe anywhere. MARK HAYES (29:22.506) Right? So, know? Yeah! because you need it. MARK HAYES (29:33.326) 2026. Mm-mm. But didn't your boy Trumpster tell us we were gonna be? Brock Ganeles (29:44.363) America first, we're going to be safer. We're to get out of all these entanglements. We're going to get and we're going to kick out all these brown people who committing all the crimes. We're going to round them up, put them in concentration camps, and then we're going to live in this nirvana, this white supremacy nirvana like all the tech bros talk about. Like, you know, if they can't do it on Mars, first they were going to do it here and turn America into this, you know, idyllic white nation. I how's that going for you? MARK HAYES (29:52.014) Well, crap. MARK HAYES (30:09.43) Right. Yeah, don't know, bro. No, it doesn't. know, talk about a guy who does so much winning. Yeah. All right, let's get up out of here with a couple of quick hits. What do you got? Brock Ganeles (30:17.29) It doesn't feel like winning. Brock Ganeles (30:28.266) Let's talk some sports for a little bit. Everyone, since our friends always tell us to shut up about politics and society and talk about sports, two quickies for you. course, WNBA still has not worked out their contract, but number one, the new version of the women's national basketball team has rolled out. MARK HAYES (30:30.698) you MARK HAYES (30:40.141) Sure. MARK HAYES (30:45.367) Mm-hmm. Brock Ganeles (30:45.758) with the starting back court of Caitlin Clark and Paige Becker's. they didn't start, but we know they're the stars. And that's a pretty formidable squad now with this new younger generation that has stepped in. But, you know, for Caitlin Clark, first time she's played in like 10 months and Asia. I don't even know if Asia Wilson's playing. I didn't even see her on the roster because they don't even need her in these games. But anyway, speaking of Asia Wilson, let me tell you this. MARK HAYES (30:58.861) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (31:14.258) No fucking bam out of bio ain't dropping 83 points on Asia Wilson. If she was guarding them. Okay. If you don't know they're dating each other and Asia Wilson is the best women's basketball player in the world. Maybe I'm out of bio who scored three points two nights ago. The second highest single scoring game in NBA history. Didn't watch it. Glad I fucking didn't. MARK HAYES (31:19.406) you MARK HAYES (31:27.934) And bam, bam is down. MARK HAYES (31:36.386) surpassing. Brock Ganeles (31:39.665) I'm appalled by the whole fucking scenario. instead of it being. Yeah, BAMS 83 to me is like a glorified pickup game. And to me, instead of it being a celebratory moment, I think it's a little bit of an embarrassment for the NBA because so many teams are tanking, are out trying to lose to get better next year. MARK HAYES (31:43.574) about Bambi and Lady String? MARK HAYES (31:54.541) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (32:07.786) that they're putting like these horrendous lineups on the floor and giving up 150 160 points and letting guys like Bam out of bio, who's a good player, but not even a good score to score 83. I think it's an indictment on the league that Bam got 83. I was not in, know, 83 is 83. Everyone's telling me shut the fuck up, but MARK HAYES (32:20.438) You were on the Olympic team. MARK HAYES (32:28.494) Ooooo MARK HAYES (32:35.772) Ha ha ha! Brock Ganeles (32:35.818) I think it's bad for the NBA. It's just showing how bad the product is right now because of NBA socialism, which is where teams want to lose so they can get a better draft pick so they can be better the next year. And yeah, well half the leagues running around playing to lose right now. And I think it's just horrendous for the product. MARK HAYES (32:56.877) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (32:59.208) And it's no knock on Bam. I like Bam. Good player. But like, he's not a guy who's... He's not Kobe. He's not a guy who can drop... He's not Wilt. He's not a guy who drops 83 points. MARK HAYES (32:59.373) Yeah. MARK HAYES (33:03.182) You are a limiting! No. I thought it was a mistake. I thought it was a mistake when I first saw it. And I said, what? Bam, got 83? Knock Kobe out? Like surpass Kobe? I was like, uh, that doesn't sound right. Yeah, that's a lot of dunks. That's 42 dunks. Brock Ganeles (33:24.094) What was going on out there down there? Yeah. So I'm just like, come on. Brock Ganeles (33:32.343) Like 43 foul shots. Why'd they foul him 20 times? He's not that good. Right. So that was just my reaction to it. It was more of frustration because I love the NBA. More of my frustration with the league and the league system and that so many teams are tanking. MARK HAYES (33:45.314) Yeah. MARK HAYES (33:50.892) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (33:50.955) and not trying to be competitive. And I viewed the Wizards who Bam got the point. They're a team that's trying not to win. I didn't feel like they really cared if Bam dropped 83 on them. They're not embarrassed. They don't care. They're like, good, we lost because we want to have a shitty record and we want to draft whatever, Boozer's son. So it's my frustration with the NBA and the tanking. MARK HAYES (34:19.47) All right, right, right. What were your thoughts on Miami, Ohio finally losing? You know, we haven't had a team go perfect in college basketball in quite some time. And the Red Hawks get knocked off by UMass. Yeah, UMass got number two. Brock Ganeles (34:40.124) UMass, yeah, our boy Herbie, Steve Herbst was celebrating on the text. The UMass was the one that pulled it off. I hope they make the tournament anyway. So I don't want to hear that debate. You know, that's what Auburn was complaining because they're not as strong strength of schedule and all that. You know, I kind of think it's good for teams to get a loss. MARK HAYES (34:45.719) Hahaha! Mm. You hope? They're not a shoo-in? They're not a shoo-in. Brock Ganeles (35:07.902) before the playoffs, so if they do get in, you kind of learn from losing sometimes. You can get complacent when you're winning all the time. what they did was remarkable though. know whenever people want to knock it and it's like, hey, you play the schedule that's in front of you. Like you just win the games as scheduled. And a lot of times the top teams don't want to play like a Miami of Ohio because it doesn't help them. MARK HAYES (35:15.936) All right. Brock Ganeles (35:34.409) to beat a team like that and it helps them. So sometimes it's hard for those mid-majors to schedule against the really top teams. Well, it's usually sometimes not their fault that they're not playing a better schedule. Oftentimes, you know, no one will let them play a better schedule. So yeah, I mean, they lost, but I hope they make the tourney anyway. And it's remarkable to win 30-31 in a row. Like that's hard to have no off nights or not to... MARK HAYES (35:34.668) Would you ever drink this again? MARK HAYES (35:42.262) Right. MARK HAYES (35:50.552) Right. MARK HAYES (35:58.552) Yeah. Yeah. When we were at Maine, when my son was at Maine, we went up to Miami, Ohio and played them in a weekend series. Yeah, they thumped us. so I've hated them ever since. Yeah. So to hell with them. They lost. Too bad. If you get in the tournament, good for you. If not, there's always the NIT. Brock Ganeles (36:14.302) Hahaha MARK HAYES (36:26.894) The runner up, the runner up tourney. He'll be the 69th best team in the nation when it's all said and done. Brock Ganeles (36:37.578) Since we're talking sports in maybe even not following the Division III basketball tournament, but the Wesleyan Cardinals for the second year in a row have made it to the Sweet 16. They lost in the final four last year and they'll be traveling up to Boston on the road to play the Tufts Jumbos on Saturday. MARK HAYES (36:45.461) no! MARK HAYES (36:53.453) What? MARK HAYES (37:01.646) Huff's Jumbos! Nice! Brock Ganeles (37:03.85) The Jumbos in the round of 16. Just in case anyone's following the Division 3 action before March Madness kicks in. MARK HAYES (37:13.182) All right, a lot of set shots going on in that game. Is Wash you in the tourney? Brock Ganeles (37:15.626) What are you saying? A suburban white kid shooting threes? You'd be surprised. I don't know why she made the tourney. You gotta ask Ricky. Ask Ricky about that one. MARK HAYES (37:27.53) our old buddies. Yeah. Yeah, went to a game here not long ago. Wash. You played Emory. I guess they're in the same league. Yeah. Yep. Brock Ganeles (37:35.388) It's a good league. Yeah. Yeah. And why using that league? It's like, it's, it's the only division three leagues that that's national every, all the other leagues are regional because the travel, you stay local. That's the only one that has teams all over the country. Like they do some real travel. Like that's a, that's a high, high prestige league. Yeah. MARK HAYES (37:43.069) really? Right. MARK HAYES (37:51.852) Yeah, I remember Rick saying that. Yeah, well, they got high tuition too, So yeah, not surprised they could afford to do all that. Brock Ganeles (37:56.819) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (38:01.802) No scholarships. No scholarships in D3. Better be right most checks. MARK HAYES (38:05.546) No, sir. Mom and dad are writing the checks here. Good stuff. All right, buddy. I'll have to follow the Wesleyan Cardinal. Can you send me a hat or a sweatshirt or something? Send me some swag. Need some swag. All right, buddy. Have a good one. We'll see you tomorrow. Yes, sir. Peace. Brock Ganeles (38:14.238) Or mark. Brock Ganeles (38:17.898) I'll get you some swag. I'll you t-shirt. All right, Mark. Always a pleasure.
