- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Holidays, right?
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: You don't want to uh break the deal you've made with yourself.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: And of course, we all choose December to start uh start the uh the weight loss rituals, and it's maybe not a problem, but it's just potentially going to amplify what you've probably already been doing over time, meaning you've made promises to yourself, you've broken those promises.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: So now we get into December, and for some weird reason, the way that we are, we just want to get started right now.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And that's great, but is it going to be the same repeat of every time before, or is this going to be something different?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: The delay mechanism we have, we're going to wait till Monday, or you know, now we're going to wait till January.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe you can prove to yourself that there really is no right time.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: You just need to really get it done.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And the longer you spend in the right realm, the longer you spend doing the right things, whether it's eating the right foods, caloric restriction, not eating at all, whatever that is, is going to equate to your success.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Should you start now?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And if you do, what happens when you get around friends and family?
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Now everybody looks at eating as it being the last possible area of solitude for everyone.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: We sit down with each other.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Eating is like the main focal point of everybody's gathering.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: But it depends on what circles you run.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And if you hang out with fit people, usually eating kind of takes a back seat.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: If you've never noticed that, maybe you've never hung around those type of people.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: But really, they're out there trying to do something.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: And instead of they going out to dinner, it's they're going to go out for a midnight swim in the ocean and deal with the sharks.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Crazy stuff.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: But then they'll also do bike rides.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: They'll also do a lot of walking.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: They might have dates at the gym.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: They might do other things like that.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So that lifestyle carries with it a whole different subset of activities.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: A lot of people that are sedentary, a lot of people that eat, they surround their activities, their fun with eating.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So it's always eating and drinking and being at these places.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Now it depends on who you have in your periphery, who are those people closest to you, what you're going to be doing as far as how you start your diet and how you put it into place.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Now, diet, of course, is the way that we eat.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Diets have a bad connotation.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Realistically, it's going to be more time in grade, more time of you doing the right thing is going to get you through that whole process.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And you probably know this.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: And I don't know what words you need to hear to get you on the stick to make a commitment to do it, but our bodies, ourselves, our minds, everything around us, even other people are very good at helping us sabotage ourselves.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: And we don't even have to put the blame over there.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: We're great at sabotaging ourselves as well.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: My recommendation is try to think about the things maybe you've done in the past, maybe the things you've succeeded with, even the time when you you had that diet that lasted a week and you actually were pretty successful.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: What was the differentiation point in that and where you are now?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's something having to do with stress or things that you don't even know, but you might need to explore that.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I wish you the best.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Be strong and be safe.
