- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I'm with Ag Bull Media.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: We're a financial channel that loves agriculture.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Today on the show, we're going to talk about the soybean crush.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: We saw an overnight rally in grains last night.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: There's some breaking news from Morgan Stanley.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: We'll get to all of that here in a bit.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Let's look at livestock and where they ended up yesterday.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Live cattle and feeder cattle.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Big down day there across the board.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Live cattle were at down$3.30 at$231.43.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Feeder cattle, down five and a half bucks at$3.48.80.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Lean hogs.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: This is all the August contracts for you folks out there playing along.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Was up in the front months just a little bit, but down in the back months, the front month, it was up 35 cents at 98.45.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: But on the grain side, we saw an overnight rally last night, which is great to see as I'm quoting the market live here from plus 500 or trading software.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Soybeans did maybe didn't see the bump, but corn and the wheat definitely did.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Corn's at 442.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Chicago wheat is at 662, and beans are at 1182.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, big move.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Overnight jump there.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Cool to see when you wake up in the morning.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: That is 100% for sure.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: On to our weather slide brought to you, brought to us by Mr.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Craig Solberger, in-house meteorologist here at Nesvik Trading.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: This is his 120-hour chart.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: As you can see, the color on the right hand side of the screen, the eastern corn belt, is going to see rain through tomorrow and Saturday.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Really, a lot of coverage and a lot of area will be affected all the towards the end of this week.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: If you're in Indiana, Ohio, and even into Pennsylvania there, expect to see some rain.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Opposite story, however, if you're on the other side of the agricultural belts on the western corn belt and the hard red wheat belt, it's gonna be mostly dry through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: You can kind of note that giant white spot there right in the middle of the country.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: But on to some more grain talk for today, the NOPA soybean crush and oil stocks is released this morning, and the consensus is kind of looking at the same thing.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Maybe a third straight monthly decline down 2.3% on the crush there.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: However, that's still 10% above year over year.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: If we're going back to looking at last June, we always want to see more crush because it creates more demand, which helps support the soybean market.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And you know, they didn't go up overnight.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: So, you know, hopefully we maybe get a bounce from this later on today.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: But the big breaking news in the kind of the stocks world is I was checking CNBC this morning.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: This is where that article comes from.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Morgan Stanley reported second quarter earnings uh before everything opened up this morning, and they're expected to benefit from higher trading and investment banking revenues, very similar to what their rivals JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs have done.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: They're riding this tech AI wave and boom that's been affecting all of us.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: You know, there's several different conflicting opinions out there on the future of AI.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: If you have a strong one, I'm sure that there's something that I can agree with you in your discussion because I don't know if there's a perfect answer right now, but man, it's doing a lot on Wall Street, and it's really important to stay looking at some of this banking and investment firms and how they're affected by this kind of AI boom, and it's certainly seeming to help Morgan Stanley.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: That is a big jump there.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Well, on the economic calendar for today, the MBA mortgage applications came out at six, the PPI comes out right after I record this at 7.30 a.m.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: The EIA energy stocks are at 9.30 a.m.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: and the Fed's beige book comes out at 1.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: That's central time on all of those there.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Hey, make sure and tune in to Mr.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Davis Michelson this afternoon.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: He's great.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: The show we did yesterday, I thought was a lot of fun.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: We just kind of simply named it Davis, Tommy, and Jed Talk Markets.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: We just had a nice fun conversation, kind of rambling about some markets and kind of personal views and stuff like that.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: It was a lot of fun to chat with some good friends there.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Go ahead and catch that on all platforms where you find media, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: But if you can't get enough and said, Jed, you didn't go over cattle quite enough today, I encourage you to go over to the premium side.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: $25 a month or$250 annually.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: I did a great video with Mr.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Mike Sands yesterday that we call our Fat Tuesday show.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Comes out every single week where we broke down cattle, you know, getting ready for this cattle on feed report that'll be here before we know it.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Well, that's all I have for you today.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Thanks for watching.
