The Chicago White Sox blew a late five-run lead and lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Cleveland Guardians, 6-5, on a walk-off homer in the ninth. After dominating with a 5-2 lead in the sixth, the Guardians clawed back with runs in the sixth and seventh to tie it. The Sox’ pitching woes continued with nine walks and a shaky start, including a bases-loaded jam in the fourth.
