Thirty-three-year-old ecologist Owen OKeefe just shattered records by completing a grueling 39-kilometer open-water swim from Baltimore to Mizen Head in under eleven hours — the first time anyone’s ever done it this way, past Sherkin Island and Cape Clear. A veteran of extreme swims, including being the youngest Irishman to cross the English Channel at sixteen, Owen raised over €3,000 for the RNLI while battling wind and waves.
