- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, welcome to another Radio Archive Hour from the Radio
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hall of Fame. Phil Henry Show and our website philhenryshow.com.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Dean Wheeler comes to us from January of 2004. Dean's
- 0:09Speaker 1: a weirdo, as you know. He was in jail in
- 0:11Speaker 1: New Jersey, but he eventually recuperated and got himself together,
- 0:15Speaker 1: I guess, and started a holistic center in Northern California.
- 0:18Speaker 2: But he's just a mess.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Here he is talking in the month of January 2004
- 0:22Speaker 1: to get kids to bug their parents to vote for
- 0:26Speaker 1: Howard Dean because that's who Dean is. is voting for himself.
- 0:30Speaker 2: You said that who?
- 0:31Speaker 1: I know what I said, okay? That who, that's who
- 0:35Speaker 1: Dean is voting for himself.
- 0:37Speaker 2: George Bush's war machine?
- 0:39Speaker 3: That is exactly what it is, Phil. The Bush war
- 0:42Speaker 3: machine continues to roll on, and the media may have
- 0:46Speaker 3: drummed Howard Dean out of this race, but we are
- 0:48Speaker 3: still going to keep Howard uppermost in our mind. We
- 0:53Speaker 3: think there's great momentum.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Well, I don't think it's possible.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Well, I think it is possible that... Otherwise, many more children, Phil,
- 1:01Speaker 3: and I think this is really the bottom line of
- 1:02Speaker 3: what we're saying, many more children are going to die
- 1:04Speaker 3: in Iraq before the elections, and if we can save
- 1:08Speaker 3: just one of them by stopping the George Bush war machine....
- 1:12Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Okay, so, Dean, you know, what about Kerry? If you
- 1:17Speaker 4: want a guy who's against George Bush.
- 1:20Speaker 3: John Kerry is a war criminal who had a hand
- 1:22Speaker 3: in the slaughter of Vietnamese women and children. I... I
- 1:26Speaker 3: don't think so.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Well, that is a strong assessment. But I will tell
- 1:30Speaker 4: you this much. Your boy Dean, well, he's not my boy.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Well, I don't.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Mean disrespect, but he's not going to be nominated.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Well, I think our alternative solutions retreat, Phil. We're going
- 1:43Speaker 3: to middle schools. We're going to junior schools. We're going
- 1:45Speaker 3: to junior high schools. I mean, we're going to high schools.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And these are kids who can understand what we're handing
- 1:52Speaker 3: out to them.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Now, you're handing out a picture, and I have it
- 1:55Speaker 4: right here, that is without a doubt one of the
- 1:58Speaker 4: most horrific things I have ever seen.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I'd like to explain it, Phil.
- 2:01Speaker 2: All right, but first of all, I want to tell
- 2:02Speaker 2: people what it is, okay?
- 2:04Speaker 4: It's of a dead child killed by, you claim, an
- 2:07Speaker 4: American mortar or a bomb blast of some kind.
- 2:10Speaker 2: With the words above the picture, George Bush did this.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Now, how can you in good conscience give something like
- 2:16Speaker 4: this to a minor child?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Let me interrupt you, Phil, first. And I understand what
- 2:21Speaker 3: you're saying, and I have two sons of my own,
- 2:23Speaker 3: so please understand. I recognize the concern of the people
- 2:28Speaker 3: listening to you and of your own. And believe me,
- 2:31Speaker 3: I know. But the George Bush war machine can only
- 2:34Speaker 3: be slowed down by regular people. If the middle school
- 2:37Speaker 3: kids and the high school kids that we're handing this
- 2:41Speaker 3: picture to see it and begin to become emotional and
- 2:47Speaker 3: even hysterical in front of their parents because of the picture.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It drives the message home to the parents of how
- 2:53Speaker 3: right I am and what a horror this war is
- 2:56Speaker 3: and how much we need Howard Dean in the White House.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You're giving the kids a.
- 3:01Speaker 4: By the way, we're talking here with Dean Wheeler from
- 3:03Speaker 4: the Northern California Alternative Solutions Retreat.
- 3:07Speaker 2: This picture of.
- 3:09Speaker 4: This is a child that has been obviously terribly maimed
- 3:13Speaker 4: by this bomb. You're giving kids this picture... that's a
- 3:16Speaker 4: baby basically blown apart with the words George Bush did
- 3:20Speaker 4: this above it so that they'll cry in front of
- 3:22Speaker 4: their parents and then the parents will want to get
- 3:24Speaker 4: George Bush.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Out of the White House.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Absolutely. And I didn't want to do this, but people,
- 3:30Speaker 3: believe me, Phil, you're thinking I caused this and I
- 3:33Speaker 3: didn't cause this. People making fun of Howard Dean caused this.
- 3:37Speaker 3: People laughing at Howard Dean and saying he sounded like,
- 3:42Speaker 3: I heard someone say he sounded like.
- 3:45Speaker 3: He sounded like Winston Churchill's old fag.
- 3:48Speaker 5: That's what I heard.
- 3:50Speaker 3: And once somebody said he sounded like a fag hag
- 3:52Speaker 3: and this kind of thing because the man got emotional.
- 3:55Speaker 4: All right, so people made fun of Howard Dean's scream.
- 3:58Speaker 4: You're saying forced you into giving kids a picture of
- 4:00Speaker 4: an Iraqi baby murdered.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I think that is... I think that's giving up responsibility.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Phil, the other night when they made me angry, and
- 4:09Speaker 3: it made me resolve to myself, and my wife Terry
- 4:11Speaker 3: was there, that we get Bush out of the White
- 4:13Speaker 3: House and we get Howard Dean, and if that means
- 4:15Speaker 3: showing children blown to bits by a bomb, then that's
- 4:21Speaker 3: what it's going to take.
- 4:23Speaker 4: What if showing that child, what if showing a kid
- 4:26Speaker 4: that makes them traumatized, what if that hurts the kid
- 4:29Speaker 4: you're showing?
- 4:29Speaker 2: You understand what I'm saying, Dean?
- 4:31Speaker 3: In other words, I think the kids today, they're going
- 4:34Speaker 3: to cry. They're not going to be traumatized. These are
- 4:36Speaker 3: kids who have grown up on Grand Theft Auto, and
- 4:39Speaker 3: they've seen their fathers sexually abuse their sisters. It will
- 4:43Speaker 3: make them sad, but they'll get over it.
- 4:46Speaker 4: All right, 1-800-449-8686, 1-800-449-8686. I'm talking here with Dean Wheeler
- 4:53Speaker 4: from the Northern California Alternative Solutions Retreat. They're doing handouts
- 4:58Speaker 4: in northern and southern California and in parts of the
- 5:00Speaker 4: East Coast and Midwest, a picture of a baby blown
- 5:02Speaker 4: to bits, apparently with the words, George Bush did this,
- 5:09Speaker 4: over the.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Top of it.
- 5:12Speaker 4: I'm a parent, and you give that picture to my child,
- 5:16Speaker 4: regardless of what I think of the war.
- 5:17Speaker 3: And I'm well aware of the fact that you support
- 5:20Speaker 3: the war, Mr. Henry.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Okay, does that mean that my kid has to be
- 5:24Speaker 2: abused by you?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Excuse me. Excuse me.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Because that's what I think it is.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Excuse me. You're not going to call me a child abuser. Okay,
- 5:32Speaker 3: George Bush is the one who... Look, the people listening
- 5:35Speaker 3: to your broadcast right now and yourself, Mr. Henry, and
- 5:38Speaker 3: I say this with great respect because I'm a person
- 5:41Speaker 3: who believes in dialogue. I do not believe in confrontation.
- 5:45Speaker 3: But I don't know if it's a concept that you
- 5:48Speaker 3: and your listeners will understand that I care so much
- 5:53Speaker 3: for the children of America I want to show them
- 5:56Speaker 3: a picture of a baby mutilated. I want them to
- 5:59Speaker 3: see that because I love them. And I want them
- 6:02Speaker 3: to see.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Why?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Because that's what George Bush did?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yes, George Bush did that. Once they see that, then
- 6:08Speaker 3: they'll know that I'm right. And that Howard Dean.
- 6:12Speaker 3: But they caused it. And don't ever blame me. They
- 6:16Speaker 3: caused it.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I think it's abdicating responsibility in the stupidest possible way, sir.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Please don't call me stupid. What I'm saying to you, Phil,
- 6:23Speaker 3: is that making fun of Howard Dean forced my hand.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I never would have done this had they not made
- 6:29Speaker 3: fun of Howard Dean.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Well, he screamed like a woman, you know. It wasn't presidential.
- 6:35Speaker 2: People made fun of him. Whatever, okay? You hand out
- 6:38Speaker 2: pictures of a dead Iraqi child.
- 6:39Speaker 3: And then we time it so that as soon as
- 6:42Speaker 3: they look at the picture, and we're very proud of Howard.
- 6:46Speaker 3: We call it the war yell. And as soon as
- 6:49Speaker 3: the kids see the picture, we let out a great,
- 6:52Speaker 3: proud Howard Dean war yell.
- 6:55Speaker 2: When a child sees this?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Demonstrate it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Well, I can't. He just went, yeah, like that.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So as soon as the kids' eyes fall on this
- 7:04Speaker 4: pile of what looks like just red meat, and forgive me,
- 7:08Speaker 4: ladies and gentlemen, but it's just to hand this to kids.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And then we say, vote Howard Dean. But I never
- 7:16Speaker 3: would have done it had they not made fun of him.
- 7:19Speaker 3: You tell your parents to vote for Howard Dean or
- 7:21Speaker 3: this kind of thing, and this is the message we
- 7:24Speaker 3: want to get home to the kids so desperately. Unless
- 7:26Speaker 3: they vote for Howard Dean, what you see in this
- 7:30Speaker 3: photograph could happen to you, a younger sister, or your
- 7:33Speaker 3: new baby brother that your mother just brought home from
- 7:35Speaker 3: the hospital, or something like that. It is a direct
- 7:39Speaker 3: action campaign. It is done with love and caring. And
- 7:43Speaker 3: I have principle, and I'll tell you why, Phil. I'm
- 7:46Speaker 3: from San Francisco.
- 7:48Speaker 2: In the Mill Valley area?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yes, and we live in San Francisco. As a result
- 7:53Speaker 3: of that, we have a bit healthier lifestyle. We're more
- 7:56Speaker 3: aware of life. Our children are not. The kids that
- 7:59Speaker 3: grow up in the Bay Area are more prone to
- 8:01Speaker 3: enjoy a bike ride than they will a, you know, a,
- 8:06Speaker 3: what do you call it, paintball. We're a little more
- 8:11Speaker 3: aware of life than the typical meat-eating Americans who are
- 8:14Speaker 3: led like cows anyway down a slaughter ramp by George Bush.
- 8:20Speaker 2: All right, 1-800-449.
- 8:22Speaker 5: I'm angry.
- 8:22Speaker 2: You know that.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Frankly, Phil, I'm sorry you're angry, but you and all
- 8:26Speaker 3: of you people have made fun of Howard Dean. And
- 8:28Speaker 3: the media censors pictures like these without me. Kids won't
- 8:32Speaker 3: learn the truth about what the president's done with the
- 8:35Speaker 3: media censoring these things.
- 8:38Speaker 2: You don't care what happens to these kids.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I care very much what happens to them. Showing them
- 8:42Speaker 3: this picture will get Howard Dean elected, and then the
- 8:46Speaker 3: kids will know that I was right.
- 8:50Speaker 2: All right, let me go to Eleanor.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Eleanor, hi, you're on the Phil Hendry Show, 1-800-449-8686 with
- 8:54Speaker 4: Dean Wheeler.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Yes, I would like to let this gentleman know that
- 8:59Speaker 6: what he is saying is totally out of line. I
- 9:03Speaker 6: work with little young people who have been traumatized by
- 9:07Speaker 6: things like this in their early childhood. They don't forget
- 9:11Speaker 6: these things. They remember these things. And it traumatizes them
- 9:16Speaker 6: for their whole life. It just doesn't go away.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Did you see Howard Dean being made fun of?
- 9:23Speaker 6: No, I did not see Howard Dean being made fun of.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I think you should have seen that to know my motivation.
- 9:29Speaker 3: They made fun of him.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Excuse me, sir.
- 9:31Speaker 7: By laughing at him.
- 9:32Speaker 5: They laughed.
- 9:32Speaker 6: Excuse me, sir. You are an adult. That man is
- 9:37Speaker 6: an adult. What you are doing, you are destroying children's lives.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Eleanor, you have your radio turned up, don't you?
- 9:47Speaker 6: Just a little bit.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to turn it down for us.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Well, Phil, I'd like to comment on what the lady said.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I'm showing the reality of war, what happens when you're
- 9:56Speaker 3: blown apart. Excuse me, sir. Yes?
- 10:01Speaker 5: Excuse me.
- 10:02Speaker 6: What are you trying to do by showing a child
- 10:06Speaker 6: someone being blown apart?
- 10:08Speaker 5: I am shocked at you. It will get the child
- 10:11Speaker 5: to go home to his parent and say, look what
- 10:16Speaker 5: President Bush is doing to children in Iraq.
- 10:19Speaker 6: No.
- 10:20Speaker 3: And then, through the grace of God and your help, Eleanor,
- 10:24Speaker 3: and good Americans like you, you'll vote for me.
- 10:26Speaker 6: The grace of God. I am a born-again Christian. And
- 10:30Speaker 6: I would never allow anybody to traumatize my children like
- 10:35Speaker 6: this to go.
- 10:37Speaker 3: If you're a born-again Christian, then why did you make
- 10:40Speaker 3: fun of Howard Dean?
- 10:41Speaker 6: I did not make fun of Howard Dean.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Isn't this the lady who said she thought he looked
- 10:46Speaker 5: like a fag or some word like that?
- 10:48Speaker 6: No one ever. If you accuse me.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Of that, young man, I would like.
- 10:54Speaker 6: To have your name and your address, and my lawyer
- 10:57Speaker 6: will contact you.
- 10:58Speaker 3: All right, ma'am.
- 10:59Speaker 5: My name is Dean Wheeler.
- 11:00Speaker 6: I have never said anything like that.
- 11:05Speaker 5: I believe you said that you thought Howard Dean looked
- 11:07Speaker 5: like a poofter.
- 11:09Speaker 8: My God.
- 11:10Speaker 6: May God bless you, sir. I'm hanging up this phone.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Don't you want my address?
- 11:14Speaker 6: And he had better bless you well, because this is
- 11:17Speaker 6: going to cost you plenty.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Well, ma'am, I can tell you that.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Well, thank.
- 11:23Speaker 2: You very much for that, Dean.
- 11:25Speaker 3: What did I do?
- 11:26Speaker 2: What did you do? What did you do? She's now
- 11:29Speaker 2: threatening to sue.
- 11:30Speaker 3: What is she going to sue? I thought I heard her.
- 11:33Speaker 2: She didn't say any such thing, sir. And yet you
- 11:37Speaker 2: make that claim.
- 11:39Speaker 5: You know, Phil, we're way off point here. George Bush
- 11:42Speaker 5: did this. I didn't do it. You didn't do it.
- 11:44Speaker 5: That lady didn't do it. George Bush, by blowing.
- 11:48Speaker 3: The kid up, and then they made fun of Howard Dean.
- 11:56Speaker 4: All right, so you're saying you never would have passed
- 11:59Speaker 4: out these pictures of this poor Iraqi child maimed through
- 12:02Speaker 4: war if they hadn't made.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Fun of Howard Dean.
- 12:05Speaker 3: It pissed me off, yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 4: And so because you're angry at people for making fun
- 12:09Speaker 4: of Howard Dean, you're going to go out, show their
- 12:11Speaker 4: kids pictures of this child, they'll cry to their parents,
- 12:14Speaker 4: and their parents, out of guilt, will vote for Howard Dean?
- 12:18Speaker 3: I will tell you this much. They'll either vote for
- 12:20Speaker 3: Howard Dean out of guilt, or they will vote for
- 12:22Speaker 3: Howard Dean because they believe in Howard Dean. But I
- 12:26Speaker 3: think that he is the best man that I have
- 12:29Speaker 3: ever met in politics. And for people to say he
- 12:33Speaker 3: screamed like a pillow-biting queen... In my opinion.
- 12:40Speaker 2: All right. We'll take a break, sir.
- 12:46Speaker 8: 1-800-449-8686.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Talking with Dean Wheeler from the Northern California Alternative Solutions Retreat,
- 12:52Speaker 4: the NCASR, about Dean's campaign to hand out pictures of
- 12:58Speaker 4: Iraqi children maimed in battle at middle schools and high
- 13:02Speaker 4: schools because the kids need to see them. If the
- 13:06Speaker 4: kids see them, They will be affected by them emotionally
- 13:09Speaker 4: and they will convince their parents that George Bush has
- 13:11Speaker 4: to go.
- 13:12Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 13:14Speaker 4: Anybody shows my kid a picture like this, I'm going
- 13:16Speaker 4: to find him and I'm going to talk to him
- 13:18Speaker 4: about it. I'm not saying I'm getting violent. I'm going
- 13:20Speaker 4: to find him and I'm going to talk to him
- 13:21Speaker 4: about it. I don't think that kids, you know, today
- 13:26Speaker 4: we're sexualizing kids. We're doing everything. They can't be adults
- 13:28Speaker 4: fast enough, for God's sake. We've taken every shred of
- 13:32Speaker 4: childhood away from them.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Why? I don't know why. Because we've got bigger problems,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I guess.
- 13:36Speaker 5: 1-800-449-8686.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Phil Henry Show. The Phil Henry Show.
- 13:38Speaker 8: 1-800-449-8686.
- 13:38Speaker 2: We eat kittens.
- 14:07Speaker 8: The Phil Henry Show is back.
- 14:08Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Dean Wheeler with me from the Northern California Alternative Solutions Retreat.
- 14:17Speaker 4: I've got some phone calls to get to, but I
- 14:18Speaker 4: want to talk to you a little bit, Dean, about
- 14:20Speaker 4: the nature of this. The fact that you say that
- 14:24Speaker 4: once these children see how horrible war is, they'll go
- 14:27Speaker 4: to their parents, cry about it. and then everyone will
- 14:29Speaker 4: know that you're right. Do you think this is about you?
- 14:32Speaker 3: No, Phil, no, it is not about me. It's about
- 14:36Speaker 3: Howard Dean, but, Phil, I come from San Francisco. I
- 14:41Speaker 3: was born and raised here. I started the Northern California
- 14:44Speaker 3: Alternative Solutions Retreat when I left the armed forces.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Were you in the armed forces? You were in what?
- 14:52Speaker 3: I was in the United States Army.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Did you see combat?
- 14:57Speaker 3: No, sir, I did not. No, I left the U.S. Army.
- 15:01Speaker 3: I was given what is called a D & D.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Dishonorable discharge? Yes.
- 15:06Speaker 5: It was a Section 8.
- 15:08Speaker 4: You were Section 8 out of the Army, which means
- 15:12Speaker 4: they thought you were nuts.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Because they are fascists, and they think everyone's crazy who
- 15:17Speaker 3: doesn't agree with them, that's all. But I will tell
- 15:20Speaker 3: you this, Phil. I come from San Francisco. We don't
- 15:24Speaker 3: hurt children here. We enjoy children more than you'll ever know.
- 15:29Speaker 5: But I have to show them this child blown to
- 15:31Speaker 5: bits because they made fun of Howard Dean. I don't
- 15:36Speaker 5: think that's Christian, and it certainly doesn't cover the tenets
- 15:39Speaker 5: of the other major religions of the world.
- 15:41Speaker 2: All right, 1-800-449-8686. Veronica, go ahead, Veronica.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Mr.
- 15:47Speaker 7: Wheeler, I just have basically one point, is that I
- 15:51Speaker 7: think that you're traumatizing these young children who, to make
- 15:57Speaker 7: a political point of voting for Howard Dean, which are
- 16:02Speaker 7: two totally separate issues. But you're traumatizing the young children,
- 16:06Speaker 7: and I think that you would probably also be the
- 16:09Speaker 7: type that says, well, let's not show, let's say, the
- 16:13Speaker 7: partial birth abortion type pictures, which also traumatize children. But
- 16:19Speaker 7: you're still traumatizing.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Are you showing children those pictures?
- 16:23Speaker 7: I would never show an innocent child.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Well, no, you just said that you did, though.
- 16:28Speaker 7: No, I didn't.
- 16:29Speaker 2: No, she didn't.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Yes, she did.
- 16:30Speaker 5: She said she thinks it's more valuable to show abortion
- 16:34Speaker 5: pictures to a child.
- 16:35Speaker 7: No, I said you would.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I'd be happy to do that if you had some.
- 16:37Speaker 7: I said you would not.
- 16:38Speaker 2: She said you.
- 16:39Speaker 7: Excuse me.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:40Speaker 7: Excuse me. Please don't interrupt me.
- 16:43Speaker 5: No, but you're saying.
- 16:44Speaker 7: You're interrupting me when I'm making a point.
- 16:46Speaker 3: No, you interrupted me, and I'm saying that.
- 16:49Speaker 2: No, wait a minute, Mr.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Wheeler.
- 16:50Speaker 2: The lady made a point comparing the picture... From Iraq. Okay.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Have you seen these pictures that.
- 16:56Speaker 3: We've got, Veronica?
- 16:58Speaker 7: No, I have not, and I certainly don't want to.
- 17:00Speaker 5: You really ought to.
- 17:01Speaker 9: Why?
- 17:02Speaker 3: First of all, I guess you're not going to like
- 17:06Speaker 3: this because Mr. Henry has twisted this conversation. We've had
- 17:09Speaker 3: some full-color shots done.
- 17:11Speaker 5: We've blown them up poster board size, and we wanted
- 17:16Speaker 5: to put them on. into a coffee table book so
- 17:20Speaker 5: that the children have access to see what the devastation.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Of war looks like. Otherwise, we're lying to them. Otherwise,
- 17:26Speaker 3: they think war is just, oh, I think I'll go
- 17:28Speaker 3: to the video game and kill an Iraqi.
- 17:32Speaker 7: Now, would you also include the.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Wait, wait, wait. Did you say you want to put
- 17:35Speaker 2: these into a coffee table book?
- 17:36Speaker 5: Yes.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Why not?
- 17:40Speaker 7: Would you also include the World War II where the
- 17:44Speaker 7: Jews were total annihilated?
- 17:47Speaker 5: Haven't you seen those?
- 17:50Speaker 7: Of course I've seen them.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Well, then what, do you want to see them again?
- 17:52Speaker 3: How sick are you?
- 17:54Speaker 7: No, I'm saying that.
- 17:55Speaker 5: You want to see dead Jews? I'm giving you a
- 17:58Speaker 5: dead Iraqi.
- 17:59Speaker 7: I'm saying, are you going to include the whole war
- 18:03Speaker 7: picture rather than putting it into a political program?
- 18:07Speaker 5: No, because this is about getting Howard Dean elected. I
- 18:10Speaker 5: don't know where you've been, but that's what I've been
- 18:12Speaker 5: talking about.
- 18:13Speaker 3: If you have abortion photos, I'd be happy to include
- 18:16Speaker 3: them in the book, but I can't promise you what...
- 18:21Speaker 3: Whatever your kick is, I mean, I'm not judging you.
- 18:23Speaker 7: This is not her kick. You're not listening.
- 18:26Speaker 3: No, the lady said she had abortion photos, and she said,
- 18:28Speaker 3: why would I use those? You said, would I use those.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Did you not say that, or am I going crazy?
- 18:33Speaker 7: I said, now, if you'll listen to me, I said,
- 18:37Speaker 7: you're probably the type that would not allow people to
- 18:42Speaker 7: see abortion pictures But you would allow them to see
- 18:47Speaker 7: war pictures. And I never said anything about me having
- 18:53Speaker 7: pictures of anything.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Can I say something?
- 18:56Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I'm not judging Veronica if she has abortion pictures, and
- 19:00Speaker 5: that's her freak.
- 19:00Speaker 3: That's her thing.
- 19:01Speaker 7: And thank you for putting words in my mouth.
- 19:04Speaker 2: She didn't say she had abortion pictures.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Well, then what is she talking about?
- 19:08Speaker 7: Do you want me to put them in the book?
- 19:11Speaker 2: All right, Veronica, hold on for a minute. 1-800-449-8686. What,
- 19:15Speaker 2: are you going to put abortion pictures in the coffee
- 19:17Speaker 2: table book, too?
- 19:18Speaker 3: Mr. Henry, this is not about me. This is about
- 19:23Speaker 3: how we can get Howard Dean to stop the juggernaut
- 19:26Speaker 3: of the Bush war machine and how little kids will
- 19:30Speaker 3: know that I'm right. I'm from San Francisco. I'm not
- 19:33Speaker 3: going to hurt anybody. And that woman, if her kick
- 19:36Speaker 3: is looking at aborted babies, good. I'll put a special
- 19:38Speaker 3: index in for them. All right, hold on.
- 19:40Speaker 5: 1-800-449-8686. 1-800-449-8686.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Phil Henry Show.
- 19:40Speaker 2: The Phil Henry Show.
- 19:41Speaker 8: 1-800-449-8686.
- 19:42Speaker 2: God's favorite radio show.
- 20:13Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686.
- 20:14Speaker 5: And now more on The Phil Hendry Show.
- 20:18Speaker 4: All right, I'm back with Dean Wheeler from the Northern
- 20:22Speaker 4: California Alternative Solutions Retreat.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Mr.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Wheeler, you said you had something you wanted to say about,
- 20:29Speaker 4: you said you had an announcement you wanted to make.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Well, I told your producer that, I'll tell you what,
- 20:35Speaker 3: in about two minutes I'm going to make you feel
- 20:36Speaker 3: really stupid. And I don't want to do it, Phil,
- 20:38Speaker 3: but the things you've been accusing me of, of trying
- 20:42Speaker 3: to scandalize kids. I told you where I'm from. It
- 20:46Speaker 3: doesn't seem to have an impact. I told you about
- 20:49Speaker 3: the Bush war machine. You're not listening. I told you
- 20:52Speaker 3: that John Kerry is a war criminal. You're not listening.
- 20:55Speaker 3: They made fun of Howard Dean, and you're still not listening.
- 20:57Speaker 3: So in about five minutes, I'm going to tell you.
- 21:01Speaker 4: You're the one that's passing out pictures of a baby
- 21:03Speaker 4: blown up in Iraq and giving them to school kids
- 21:05Speaker 4: in the hopes that they'll show them to their parents
- 21:07Speaker 4: and say, please vote for Howard Dean, Mommy and Daddy.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I don't want to see any more kids killed.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I told you I'm from San Francisco. I know you're.
- 21:15Speaker 2: From San Francisco.
- 21:16Speaker 5: 1-800-449-8686.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Charles, go ahead. You're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 21:22Speaker 8: Hello.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Thank you for.
- 21:23Speaker 8: Taking my call.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 21:25Speaker 8: And I have two points. The first one is, as
- 21:28Speaker 8: a parent, if I was to thank my child in
- 21:30Speaker 8: public or to even raise my voice in a threatening
- 21:33Speaker 8: way towards my child, I could be subject to arrest.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I wasn't aware of that.
- 21:42Speaker 8: So what gives you the right, number one, to basically
- 21:47Speaker 8: hand the child something like that and then scream at
- 21:51Speaker 8: the top of your lungs like Howard Dean did and
- 21:54Speaker 8: then expect nothing to happen? And then, two, you say
- 21:58Speaker 8: that you're from San Francisco. You say that you wouldn't
- 22:01Speaker 8: do anything ever to harm a child. But do you
- 22:04Speaker 8: know that there's an organization called NAMBLA also based in
- 22:08Speaker 8: San Francisco that say basically the same thing? But you
- 22:11Speaker 8: know what? Just like you, they get off on traumatizing children.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Well, NAMBLA, you know, I've seen a couple of those
- 22:20Speaker 5: guys at some golf tournaments.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I think you've got a lot of them. I don't
- 22:26Speaker 3: agree with what they do, but if you sit down
- 22:28Speaker 3: and have a drink with them, they can be a
- 22:31Speaker 3: lot of fun.
- 22:32Speaker 8: Okay, you know what? And I think that's what you've done.
- 22:34Speaker 2: What do you mean you went to golf tournaments with them?
- 22:38Speaker 3: Well, a lot of the Nambla guys will buy a foursome.
- 22:42Speaker 3: But I want to say to Charles more than anything else, Charles,
- 22:46Speaker 3: what would you say if I told you that the
- 22:49Speaker 3: picture of the Iraqi baby, okay, are you hearing me?
- 22:53Speaker 8: Yes, I'm listening.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Was actually a hamburger that I threw on the sidewalk
- 22:56Speaker 5: and photographed.
- 22:59Speaker 8: Then I would say either you're lying to everybody else,
- 23:02Speaker 8: in which case you are a fraud, or if you're
- 23:05Speaker 8: telling the truth, then you're still a fraud because that's
- 23:09Speaker 8: the kind of thing that could still... You should be
- 23:12Speaker 8: liable for... You're definitely leaving yourself open to lawsuits.
- 23:17Speaker 5: So you're telling me I ought to be sued for
- 23:19Speaker 5: showing a kid a picture of hamburgers?
- 23:21Speaker 9: Oh, boy.
- 23:21Speaker 8: And screaming at the top of their lungs like that.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, let me hear that.
- 23:24Speaker 8: Especially if it is not your child.
- 23:26Speaker 2: So you go up to the kid, you show him
- 23:27Speaker 2: a picture of this baby. Okay, you know what?
- 23:29Speaker 8: I'll give you an example. It would be the same
- 23:32Speaker 8: thing if I approached your child and did the same thing.
- 23:37Speaker 9: What would your reaction be?
- 23:39Speaker 8: Your reaction would not be to vote for somebody else.
- 23:42Speaker 5: All right, let me tell you what happens.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Your reaction would be to kick my butt.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Let me tell you the three-step program.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Because I know that if you did that to any
- 23:48Speaker 8: of my children, that's the first thing I would want
- 23:50Speaker 8: to do.
- 23:51Speaker 3: But I'm from San Francisco.
- 23:52Speaker 5: You know what? That's right.
- 23:54Speaker 8: You're from San Francisco. That's the land of fruit and fairy.
- 23:58Speaker 8: You just need to stay right where you are.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 24:01Speaker 5: This is what we do. I walk up. I say,
- 24:03Speaker 5: look at this poor baby blown to bits by George Bush.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Vote for Dean.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Now, what is wrong?
- 24:11Speaker 8: And if Dean has people like you campaigning for him,
- 24:14Speaker 8: he has no chance in hell of winning the White House.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Now you've just insulted him again.
- 24:18Speaker 5: So now....
- 24:21Speaker 2: Now what?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Now I have to go show more pictures to children.
- 24:22Speaker 8: No, I didn't insult Howard Dean. I insulted you.
- 24:25Speaker 3: You called me a fruit.
- 24:27Speaker 8: Yes, I called you a pathetic excuse for a human being.
- 24:30Speaker 2: A twisted old fruit.
- 24:31Speaker 8: That's exactly what you are.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Charles.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Charles, what city do you live in?
- 24:37Speaker 8: Why does it matter to you?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Maybe I've got some pictures to show your kids.
- 24:43Speaker 8: You know what?
- 24:45Speaker 2: I've got to put up your thing. Okay, Charles, thank you. 1-800-449-8686.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Here is Roger. Roger, go ahead. You're on the Phil
- 24:52Speaker 2: Henry Show with Dean Wheeler.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Mr.
- 24:55Speaker 9: Wheeler?
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 24:57Speaker 9: Okay, now I want you to listen to me real close.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Oh, yes, sir.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Of course.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:01Speaker 9: I was in the military for 30 years. I was
- 25:05Speaker 9: in Korea, Vietnam, and Okinawa in World War II.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:09Speaker 9: Now I want you to listen real close to what
- 25:11Speaker 9: you're saying.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:12Speaker 9: George Bush did not do that. It might have been
- 25:16Speaker 9: something because of the war, but he definitely didn't do it.
- 25:20Speaker 9: So that is a lie right there. And the next
- 25:23Speaker 9: place is, when you show this picture to these children,
- 25:26Speaker 9: you're doing the same thing as violating them with sexual
- 25:30Speaker 9: or anything else. You should be put in prison because
- 25:34Speaker 9: you are violating the children.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Roger, I eat nothing but sprouted seven-grain bread. I get
- 25:40Speaker 3: up in the morning and do a variety of postures
- 25:43Speaker 3: and Pilates, and to suggest that I abuse children.
- 25:47Speaker 9: You are abusing them. Everybody knows that. If you had
- 25:49Speaker 9: a brain in your head, you would understand this is
- 25:51Speaker 9: abusing a child. It traumatizes them.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Now, Roger, this is Phil Henry. You're a veteran, sir, right?
- 25:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 25:56Speaker 2: All right, now, I've got another veteran on the line,
- 25:58Speaker 2: also a Korean War vet. Is this Lloyd?
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yes, sir.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Lloyd, meet Roger.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Yes, sir, Roger. How are you doing?
- 26:05Speaker 9: Well, I'm really upset.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I've never called a talk program before. Yeah, I listened
- 26:09Speaker 5: to this guy, this joker they got on the radio
- 26:11Speaker 5: right now who keeps saying he's from San Francisco. And personally,
- 26:16Speaker 5: I wouldn't go across the street to piss on the
- 26:19Speaker 5: whole city myself.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I'd like you to watch your language, too.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I'm very sorry, but what this man is saying, he's
- 26:27Speaker 5: not showing a picture of an Iraqi baby. He said
- 26:31Speaker 5: he took a picture of hamburger meat.
- 26:34Speaker 9: That's totally irrelevant. He's been saying it was a baby.
- 26:38Speaker 9: How about the 2 million-plus people at Saddam Hussein gassed
- 26:42Speaker 9: to death and laying in the streets? Why don't you
- 26:44Speaker 9: show pictures of that?
- 26:45Speaker 5: I agree with you. Let me tell you, I agree
- 26:48Speaker 5: with you.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 5: But this guy, you know, and another thing.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Can I jump in, Phil? Go ahead.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Saddam Hussein, yes, he gassed people. You're right.
- 27:01Speaker 5: But we really forced him to do that because... Who
- 27:06Speaker 5: forced him to do it?
- 27:07Speaker 3: America did. We forced him into that.
- 27:09Speaker 5: He didn't want to do it.
- 27:10Speaker 3: He didn't really want to do it. But we were
- 27:13Speaker 3: so insulting. Look at what we did to Howard Dean.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Howard Dean gasses a number of people in Vermont.
- 27:20Speaker 5: I won't be shocked.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 27:22Speaker 5: You're doing the same... Well, that's the craziest bunch of garbage.
- 27:25Speaker 9: I've ever heard in my life.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Well, let's let Roger say something.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 27:30Speaker 9: Is this the host?
- 27:32Speaker 2: I'm the host, yes, sir.
- 27:33Speaker 9: Okay, well, sir, I respectfully request that you take this
- 27:37Speaker 9: guy out of his mind. You cannot talk to him.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Absolutely. Listen, man, you know what I used to do
- 27:44Speaker 5: with guys like you? I was in the United States Navy.
- 27:46Speaker 5: We used to take you guys down in an alley
- 27:50Speaker 5: and go through your pockets, take all the money, and
- 27:53Speaker 5: leave you with no pants on.
- 27:55Speaker 9: You think so, huh?
- 27:56Speaker 5: That's what we do with a guy like this.
- 27:58Speaker 9: You think so, huh? If you hear what I said,
- 28:02Speaker 9: I was in Vietnam, I was in Korea, and I
- 28:04Speaker 9: was World War II, and I'm still alive. There's a
- 28:06Speaker 9: lot of dead people behind me, buddy. Who?
- 28:10Speaker 5: Who are you?
- 28:11Speaker 2: This is the Roger, the other veteran.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Oh, I thought it was the guy who had the pictures. Oh, no, no.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Thank you, thank you.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I want to say something. Saddam Hussein is a victim
- 28:22Speaker 3: of a horrible propaganda machine which is run by the
- 28:24Speaker 3: warmonger Bush. You know that, Roger, and I know it.
- 28:27Speaker 9: He's not a warmonger.
- 28:28Speaker 5: What the hell kind of gobbledygook is that? You know,
- 28:32Speaker 5: you sound like the kind of fruit that thinks Michael
- 28:34Speaker 5: Jackson is all that and a bag of GD chips,
- 28:37Speaker 5: don't you? Don't you? No, I'm not going to be surprised.
- 28:42Speaker 9: You know, in a way, I'm sorry I got upset
- 28:45Speaker 9: at you, because you are really an asset to the
- 28:48Speaker 9: Republicans and to George Bush, because everyone that hears you
- 28:51Speaker 9: talking like this now, I would say I'd never vote
- 28:55Speaker 9: for a Democrat as long as I live.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Hey, Roger, I don't want to interrupt you, but you
- 28:58Speaker 5: know who's on the television? My wife's got the Fox News.
- 29:02Speaker 5: I don't know if you ever see the Fox deal.
- 29:03Speaker 9: Yeah, I've seen it.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Okay, they've got that Tammy Faye Baker. Now, let me
- 29:07Speaker 5: ask you a question.
- 29:08Speaker 9: What?
- 29:08Speaker 5: Is that a piece of ass or what?
- 29:10Speaker 9: You should apologize, sir. There's millions of people listening.
- 29:13Speaker 2: There's a lot of women listening, yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Well, I'm terribly sorry, but I've got to the point
- 29:18Speaker 5: in my life where I just don't give a sweet
- 29:20Speaker 5: Christ any longer, you know?
- 29:22Speaker 9: No, but I do.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but this gentleman, Roger, is a gentleman, and he
- 29:24Speaker 2: doesn't want to hear that, okay?
- 29:26Speaker 9: No, I do. I care about this country.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Also, I think it's a horrible way to speak about
- 29:30Speaker 3: one of our female species. Women are just like men,
- 29:35Speaker 3: except they have to squat and, you know, do those things.
- 29:39Speaker 9: Can I talk to the host again for a second?
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm right here, sir.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Well, in the meantime, I should talk.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Okay, what do you want to talk about?
- 29:44Speaker 9: Okay, is the host on now?
- 29:45Speaker 2: Yes, I'm right here, sir. Go ahead.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:48Speaker 9: What I want to say is.
- 29:49Speaker 5: A guy like you ought to be taken out and shot.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Well, you don't understand.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Go ahead. They're talking in the background. Could you two
- 29:56Speaker 2: guys not talk in the background?
- 29:58Speaker 5: Who, me?
- 29:59Speaker 3: Are you talking to me?
- 30:00Speaker 5: Yes.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I'm right here, Roger. Go ahead.
- 30:02Speaker 9: Okay, what I would say is the more I hear this,
- 30:05Speaker 9: the more thankful I am for him because anyone that
- 30:08Speaker 9: hears him that would vote for a Democrat has got
- 30:10Speaker 9: to be out of their mind. This guy, he shouldn't
- 30:14Speaker 9: be allowed loose on the streets. Forgive me, sir.
- 30:16Speaker 5: Because I've always enjoyed sex.
- 30:18Speaker 2: All right, okay, thank you, Roger.
- 30:23Speaker 6: What?
- 30:24Speaker 2: What are you guys talking about? What, are you all
- 30:28Speaker 2: of a sudden getting his card now?
- 30:29Speaker 3: Look, Phil, we're really off the point. The point here
- 30:34Speaker 3: that I've been trying to make is that.
- 30:36Speaker 4: I don't care what the point you're trying to make.
- 30:38Speaker 4: You're talking to this guy about something, and I'm trying
- 30:40Speaker 4: to talk to the other guy.
- 30:41Speaker 2: What do you mean you've always liked sex?
- 30:44Speaker 5: That's none of your beeswax.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Well, what are you talking to him about it for?
- 30:47Speaker 5: He's from San Francisco.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Oh, I see. Yeah, okay. So we're going to go
- 30:52Speaker 2: into the stale gay jokes now?
- 30:53Speaker 5: No, we're not. No, we're not going into the stale
- 30:56Speaker 5: gay jokes. Didn't I just say I thought Tommy Faye... Tommy, uh...
- 31:00Speaker 5: Didn't I just get done saying that I thought Tommy,
- 31:03Speaker 5: the guy from Motley Crue, is a piece of ass?
- 31:05Speaker 2: No, you said Tammy Faye Baker.
- 31:07Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
