- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, I'm so glad you could join us for this podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Embrace Yourself.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I've gone through a few name changes, but this is the one Stuck no More podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Yeah well, we're going to help you and my guests get unstuck personally, financially.
- 0:16Speaker 1: How about getting unstuck with your voice?
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm so excited to kick this off with my dear friend, rebecca.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Rebecca.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Thank you, faith, for joining us.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I'm so glad you're here.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I am so happy to be here.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Thank you for inviting me.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to know a little better at our last Speaker Academy in LA and you know there's something about Rebecca coming up with someone and saying hey, and then boom, you got the fire.
- 0:41Speaker 1: That's where Rebecca's right and she had an amazing performance.
- 0:46Speaker 1: But first let's just introduce a little bit of yourself.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You got quite a story.
- 0:50Speaker 1: You're a South African, but give a little glimpse into your background and then we'll talk about I love your trademark.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Saying is so up to stuck, no more.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But anyway, everybody, please welcome Rebecca Faith.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It's an honor to just be with people who carry a passion and a fire and that's what I noticed about you.
- 1:14Speaker 2: And also, you know, when you've gone through things you come out with things and you've come out with some gold.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And so, getting to know you, hearing your story, I come from a super tiny, very vanilla white country dairy community in Lancaster, pennsylvania.
- 1:38Speaker 2: If you've heard of the Amish and the Mennonites, that's where I come from.
- 1:43Speaker 2: My father was raised Amish.
- 1:45Speaker 2: When him and my mother got married they were what's called Mennonite Amish or Beachy Amish.
- 1:50Speaker 2: There's all kinds of little, you know, offshoots, and I was raised Mennonite and so raised just super sheltered, very sheltered, very protected, for which I'm very grateful.
- 2:02Speaker 2: You know, raised in a very strong community, very strong family values, you know people looked out for each other and and family is kind of the heart and the core of everything Grew up knowing like everyone knew who my dad was, my grandfather was, and I didn't realize what a gift this was.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It was kind of annoying, you know, like walking into a place or go and sell subs in high school door to door, and somebody's like, oh, are you Jake Lapp's daughter?
- 2:29Speaker 2: And I'm like yes, I am.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Would you like a sub?
- 2:32Speaker 2: You know, and I just wanted to get out of there.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I just want to get out.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I wanted to see the world, I wanted to explore.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I wanted to.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I had always had a passion for people and I didn't realize it.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But you know, there was going to be a road to walk and that road was going to form a lot of the message that was already in my heart to give people.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And so, um, I'm just grateful I've been able to.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It sounds very glamorous, but I'll I'll share it and then I'll kind of back it up a little bit I was able to live on three different continents.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I moved to South Africa when I was 21, went onto the mission field as a full-time missionary, went into ministry full-time and loved it.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It was not glamorous.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Telling the stories is always a little better, you know, than actually living it out, but it was wonderful and hard and challenging and beautiful and rewarding all at the same time.
- 3:26Speaker 2: At the same time, wow, how these things all coexist, I don't know, but they do they do and lived there for seven years and got married there to a South African, ended up moving to Europe, lived there for about a year and a half and then have been back in the US of A in several different states, in Florida and Tennessee and California, now back in a different part of Florida just a few months ago.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So the journey's taken me all over.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Now, you know I love to talk about voice, as the voice is your unique expression of your identity, your values and your experiences that can impact thousands.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Your voice is represented in many things.
- 4:08Speaker 1: You're an amazing speaker, but you're also into music.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Share how you use that, I think.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Share how you use that.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's kind of funny because I grew up in a very musical family.
- 4:20Speaker 2: My maiden name is Lap L-A-P-P and we all sang and played instruments.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's a big, you know, mennonite thing, but even my mom's family aside from you know, the religious background was just very musical and they would get together my mom's side of the family every New Year's Eve and they would sing through Handel's Messiah.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You know my, my dad's family would sing.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know, my family, my now, my myself, my parents, my siblings and all of our kids, we all, when we're together we sing a prayer before we eat and it's really beautiful.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And so grew up singing, grew up singing harmonies, and I was always a very low voice.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So, if you're familiar with vocal parts, I was an alto too, which is practically a guy You're singing so low.
- 5:06Speaker 2: You know that you're you're not like a high female voice and was just kind of never a soloist.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was the harmony.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I led worship at a young age in the church, but you know, in high school I wasn't somebody who always got the solos and things.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I remember the Lord really asking and prompting me for myself in my life to really step out and use the gift that he'd given me and I remember kind of arguing with him and I'm like, but God, you know, I'm, I'm not, I'm not the most talented, like there's like a million people who can sing better than me, and I kind of expected this little like oh, rebecca, you can do it, you know.
- 5:47Speaker 2: But he didn't.
- 5:47Speaker 2: He was like you're right, and I was like wait, what God?
- 5:52Speaker 2: And he said you know, I'm not calling you because you're the best singer.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm calling you, because that's what I've anointed you to do, and so when you talk about voice for me, it's really.
- 6:01Speaker 2: And so when you talk about voice for me, it's really personal.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I don't feel qualified because I'm a great musician.
- 6:08Speaker 2: In fact, I balk when people call me a musician, even though that's what I do.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I travel, I sing, I play, I speak.
- 6:15Speaker 2: But I know that this is a part of the way that I was created to share my voice.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So I sometimes I can say it, and sometimes I sing depending what you want, depending what you need you know.
- 6:34Speaker 2: So singing and speaking and just letting it be a fusion of storytelling.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I think, that's the main thing, is like I just want to.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I want to tell stories.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I want to tell the story of of a father who so loved his son that he waited and ran to him when he came home.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I want to tell stories, even from my own life, of things that I have learned or things I got wrong, and just through it all, God was always giving me songs.
- 6:59Speaker 2: That's how he speaks to me, is just giving me songs that I would sing to ministers, to myself.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I love that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:07Speaker 1: What I see is you know and what I'm learning is you know.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I always say God wires something in your DNA, but it's more than that.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It becomes the core and when it's got the anointing in it, what comes out is you create what God wants in the world.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And that's radically shifted me.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Learning this a few months ago, I'm like, okay, what do you want?
- 7:31Speaker 1: How do you want me to use my voice?
- 7:33Speaker 1: But having that in the back of your mind, that's why, like you said, it's like if it comes out in song, you're an amazing speaker.
- 7:40Speaker 1: If it comes out in speaker, if it just comes out and loving my kids, what is that core?
- 7:45Speaker 1: And I think, stuck no more.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I think some people get so overthinking it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yes, go back to the basics and it's god lined it in your dna and a lot of times you like it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I heard the word um.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Desire is uh.
- 8:01Speaker 1: The latin word of desire is like um father or father or something like that, and so he gives you the father, gives you the desires.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Now you have a saying that kind of wraps up so much of your life's experiences.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Show that saying, because it definitely goes along with stuck no more.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Well, one of the phrases I found myself saying often, as I was encouraging others, was hey, you're going to make it, you're going to make it.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'm a diehard optimist.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So everywhere I go, I'm encouraging, I'm speaking.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But one day we were sitting after a meeting, we were sitting at home and we had a bunch of home and we had a bunch of people over and we had a tiny home.
- 8:45Speaker 2: So I was sitting on the piano bench next to my stepdaughter.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And she was probably seven or eight at the time, and I remember looking at her eyes and just seeing so many questions, so many questions, hurt, but also hope, wanting a relationship, but not sure what to do with that desire.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And it was like through me.
- 9:09Speaker 2: The father just spoke to her.
- 9:13Speaker 3: And he said that you're going to make it.
- 9:16Speaker 3: You're going to make it after all.
- 9:18Speaker 3: How do I know that's good?
- 9:21Speaker 3: He told me.
- 9:22Speaker 3: So Very beautiful.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And so that that kind of um, that message of hope, very simple, very simple, you're going to make it.
- 9:31Speaker 2: How do I know, how can I, how can I confidently tell you that?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Why?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Because he told me yeah he told me I don't know how.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how you're going to make it.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't know how he's going to turn this around for good.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I don't know how this is going to become a testimony from your test.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I don't know how, but I know it's true.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But it's a declaration too.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It's a declaration that God gets to fill.
- 9:54Speaker 1: But that is true.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Sometimes you as a parent, or sometimes like someone's you know telling you stuff, and you like kind of want to get in there, fix it.
- 10:01Speaker 1: But there's no fixing.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You got to let the time, you got to let the father and the process bring you the progress.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I mean, as a parent especially, you want to fix it.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Like my kids are 22 and 26, and they're in some tough situations.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I want to get in there and fix it.
- 10:16Speaker 1: But like, nope, God says I'll tell you when and I'll tell you what to say, and you just represent the father's heart because, yes, they didn't have a good example of a daddy's heart.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So you, you can't be the daddy, but you show the father's love.
- 10:32Speaker 1: So, yeah, so I think, uh, I was.
- 10:34Speaker 1: So I, well, first of all, I, I got rekt introduced to you at the girl power or kingdom alliance uh conference last year and you did lead worship, yeah, yeah, and you brought this is what I want to talk about.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Whether it's your voice or your music, you have the responsibility to shift atmospheres, but it's not a burden.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's that once again, that expression from your core, coming from the anointing.
- 10:59Speaker 1: So how do you, how did I mean?
- 11:02Speaker 1: When you came to that Kingdom Alliance, did you know anything about Little?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Power Alliance.
- 11:06Speaker 2: No, it's actually kind of a funny story because I'm you know, I'm invited to lead worship and I'm hired to do a job.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But see, here's the thing walking in the kingdom is that whatever I do, I know that I'm led by his spirit.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Nothing is an accident.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I do, I know that I'm led by his spirit.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Nothing is an accident.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And so I got in touch with Michelle Schaefer, who's the CEO and founder, and we had met on Zoom.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Come to find out.
- 11:32Speaker 2: We live in the same town, we live five minutes away from each other.
- 11:39Speaker 2: What are the odds?
- 11:41Speaker 2: I mean, it's just bizarre.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And so we were like hey, well, let's meet over lunch and let's talk about this conference.
- 11:47Speaker 2: You want me to lead worship at?
- 11:48Speaker 2: What do you want?
- 11:49Speaker 2: What are you looking for?
- 11:50Speaker 2: What do you want from me?
- 11:52Speaker 2: You know how can I serve you in your goal, and that's definitely as a minister.
- 11:56Speaker 2: My desire is, once I know God has um connected us with the right relationships, well then I'm here to serve.
- 12:04Speaker 2: So then I can serve with confidence, because I know God brought us together.
- 12:07Speaker 2: This wasn't a good idea, Wasn't just a paycheck, it wasn't just you know.
- 12:11Speaker 2: And so I show up at this conference.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I have no idea what the company is, you know, and I'm just like who are these people?
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, no, and so as I watched, you know, obviously there's excitement.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a bunch of women guys.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I love live events.
- 12:29Speaker 2: They're just the top A hundred percent.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I love women.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I love women empowerment, I love um and I mean that in the most positive way, Like I love healthy.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Healthy humans create healthy relationships.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Healthy relationships create healthy families.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Healthy families create healthy communities.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Healthy communities change the world.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And so, you know, I love these communities because they just get me fired up, you know, and start speaking my language.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And so I was invited to lead worship and she wanted some kind of a for the opening night, like this little worship concert.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And I'm thinking to myself, firstly, worshiping a concert like it's a concert to the King, but like how, I'm not a good performer.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I, you know, that's, that's what I, the kind of one of the lies.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I'm not a good performer, Like I lead worship and I speak, but if you want somebody who's going to get up and you know, put on a show, hire somebody else, yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 2: And so she's like no, I want you.
- 13:27Speaker 2: And I'm like you don't even know me.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It's like connecting to the right people matters because you're you may not know each other physically, you may not know each other mentally or culturally, but when you know each other by the spirit, Come on and you connect on that level.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It's a game changer.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Nothing like it, it is a game changer.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And so I showed up there, I brought a little team together and I said, hey guys, I'm not really sure what to expect.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We're leading a bunch of ladies here, you know, and I don't even know what they do and they were trying to understand what the company was and I was like I actually don't know, and so I got to know Kingdom Alliance through that event.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You got the because we were just coming off the first Speaker Academy.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So you have all the.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We were just pumped.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we had our.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It was like we had revival in that first one.
- 14:19Speaker 1: We were like, oh, this is just a byproduct.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It was incredible.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And then I wanted to know more about this speaker Academy Cause I was like hey, I'm a speaker, I love crafting, you know my skill and I love connecting and I love learning from other people.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And so that's when I actually did the certification.
- 14:37Speaker 2: When was that Just a few months ago?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we met up um out in LA and did a Kim 10 together, got certified together again and it was, it was incredible, it was, it was beautiful.
- 14:49Speaker 1: There's something about having the freedom to have a stage to share how God calls you to share, because I don't.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I think if, if I went into a church and they heard my opening line, they'd say who do we have here?
- 15:02Speaker 1: But there's that freedom.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I remember it was in a church I'm not going to tell you guys my opening line and I said Michelle, come here.
- 15:11Speaker 1: It's in a church setting, not necessarily church people.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I said, should I change my beginning?
- 15:16Speaker 1: And she's like Teresa, you know your instincts, you know Michelle, no, and you know I said that opening because in the first Kim Tin I made that comment and she said that's it.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But I couldn't do it last year.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I didn't have enough healing.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You got to speak from your scars, not your wounds.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So I'm just saying and then we both got we didn't just speak practice.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And on the Kim Tin stage we both got a dream to speak in the very first Kim Tin event.
- 15:47Speaker 1: And if there were two or if there were a thousand, it was so electrifying.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you felt it.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It was electrifying to represent Kingdom Alliance, represent everything that accompanies that, yes, and to be able to use our mouths, though, to really encourage women.
- 16:07Speaker 1: There are men in the company.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Now they have it.
- 16:09Speaker 1: What is it called Kingdom?
- 16:10Speaker 1: I don't know, yeah, but it's like whoa.
- 16:14Speaker 1: You know that to me.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You know I don't know if you feel this way, but I don't want to speak on just any stage.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, because they asked me.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I want to be where God wants me and the way I look at Kingdom Alliance, I'm just now getting back into a speaking career.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I want them my covering.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I want to know that I have a covering that's going to cover me with prayer and encouragement and even the right speaking skills.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So if you're interested in that, you go, you go online.
- 16:43Speaker 1: For what is it?
- 16:44Speaker 1: Nine weeks?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we met online for nine weeks and I mean they've got the whole thing covered and let me, it's an excellent course.
- 16:51Speaker 2: It is an excellent course.
- 16:52Speaker 2: They don't just cover, you know, speaking tips and things from an actual X news anchor who knows what it is to be on camera.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But what I loved about it was, you know, the heartbeat of the message, the talking about what do I really want to leave my audience feeling, and they unpacked it so well.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I loved the training.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I thought it was.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I thought it was fantastic.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Honestly, the feedback was just invaluable.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Going to the certification, being able to speak in a safe space and just lay it out, just lay it out Almost verbally, just put it all out there and then look at it and say, wow, the very thing that I despised or the thing that hurt me or the thing that caused trauma, I've spewed it out and look at it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: It's actually a gift and it's a feeling to the nations.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And that, that paradigm shift, like all the things that I was maybe embarrassed of or things that were, um, things that you know, I, I, I learned.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I learned to bring laughter back into the story.
- 18:05Speaker 2: You know where I'm married to an older man, and so all the things that you know the world, or the enemy, wants to try and shame you with, or even, you know, just religion wants to try and shame you with and shut you down and silence your voice, taking that very thing and learning how to package it so that you are the one sharing.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Because when I get to share my story, I decide how it's told.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I get to tell it with a smile, I get to tell it with laughter, I get to give people who've been through something similar permission to find joy in their story.
- 18:45Speaker 1: true, that is worth it yeah, come on, that, just got fire on it.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You know, um, it's funny because we had the kim stands for kingdom impact message for 10 minutes, so we call it a kim 10.
- 18:59Speaker 1: We like to say move over, ted, because I don't think you can talk about Jesus on a TED Talk.
- 19:05Speaker 1: No, I think you can weave in a kingdom message, though.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So I'm not going to totally knock Ted, but the idea of being able, like you just said, the first day we have a practice round.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I didn't know that last year and I'm so glad because I like threw up, I mean, I threw up practice round.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I didn't know that last year and I'm so glad because I like threw up.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I mean, I threw up my drama.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and then this year I didn't realize I was so excited.
- 19:31Speaker 1: When I get so excited, I get dark and fast.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Yes, at the end of it they're like Teresa.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I love it.
- 19:37Speaker 1: They said it was such kindness.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You know, caroline Leaf, don't you?
- 19:40Speaker 1: I love Caroline leaf, don't you?
- 19:45Speaker 2: I love Caroline leaf.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Oh, she dogs real fast, real fast.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I loved, I thought, all of the feedback and I used to be terrified of criticism because I was living my life in a continual attempt to measure up to some imaginary standard, I don't know, and I felt like I had to perform to be accepted.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I had to give you what you were looking for in discovering authenticity and an authentic voice.
- 20:11Speaker 2: There's something unlocked inside of you when you are only trying to be you.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, when you know that I'm not competing with anyone else.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I'm not competing with anyone else's voice, anyone else's style, anyone else's look, anyone you know, and I get to stand here and fully be me.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And one of the things I love about you and we and we I love how we laugh about it and then we coin it right Is your pose and you're standing up there and you get to be Teresa.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I get to do that and there's no competition in the kingdom and I don't have to be like one of the judges, you know, shay or Michelle or Molly or Lisa B I don't have to.
- 20:56Speaker 2: In fact, you know, realizing that there are things, people, messages, you know, realizing that there are things, people, messages, methods that only I can deliver, that only I can touch, the same for you.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And so, for any of you listening, if you feel like you know, it's one thing to be inspired by someone, please be inspired.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Please be inspired by Teresa, please be inspired.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But let that inspiration, that inspiration isn't so you become like Teresa or you become like me.
- 21:25Speaker 2: The inspiration is so that you have the courage to fully unlock inside of yourself who you were created to be.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Amen, amen.
- 21:35Speaker 1: That so goes along.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I've changed my website.
- 21:38Speaker 1: If you're just popping in, hey guys, say hello to Jen Rogers, the speaker of all speakers.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Oh, my friend was fantastic.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Why doesn't she do a great job?
- 21:48Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness, I fell in love with people.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Okay, I came home and I told my husband I'm like I've got a bunch of new friends.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You know, and it's just I did.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I was giving Jen um rides to and from the church and um and get fell as well and just got to know them better and just absolutely fell in love with these beautiful human beings.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I appreciate you saying that, because one person I didn't know how funny and I didn't connect with was Molly, but I connected with her like crazy on that and I was really glad because I'm like what we do, guys, is we have a practice round and we have four judges.
- 22:24Speaker 1: They're not there to criticize you, they're there to pull out the gold that you just gave us.
- 22:29Speaker 1: And I talked and talked so fast it wasn't even funny, which I do on my podcast.
- 22:34Speaker 1: But you know I don't know about you, but this is my second one.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm going to pull everything.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I stood up there, I asked questions.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm going to pull everything.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I stood up there, I asked questions.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm going to get my money's worth.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I pulled it.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I love it Cause they're, they're, they're they're experts.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I mean, look at Lisa Venderquack.
- 22:47Speaker 1: She's does that for a living.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I never did get.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You know, you're supposed to go this way for the past and this way for the future.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I think I got that all wrong.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Next time, next time, listen, next time I'm going to be with you in Dallas.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Let's talk about that.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Anyone in the Dallas area, this is your chance to make it there.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I don't have the name of the church, but go on both of our profiles, it's free.
- 23:12Speaker 1: We got invited to be part of another Kim 10.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And you know I'm excited about it because there's always refinement.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I know I'll have the structure.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I don't know if you feel that way.
- 23:22Speaker 1: There's a structure to my Kim Tim but, like God adds, fills it in, because it's kind of like in the beginning, like my first Kim Tim, I just threw up on stage.
- 23:33Speaker 1: When he threw up it was just Verbally, it was verbally about my marriage and it was terrible, but anyway, it was a lesson but it was good.
- 23:41Speaker 1: The second one you know you get to refine a little more, refine a little more.
- 23:44Speaker 1: So I'm so thrilled to be on the third one because, agreed, you know, here we get some more refinement and I my company just picked me.
- 23:54Speaker 1: This is like unbelievable in the.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You know we want you to be stuck no more financially.
- 23:59Speaker 1: But I'm with this company and he chose me to go to this event.
- 24:04Speaker 1: One of the amazing his name's Paul Getter.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Look at this.
- 24:08Speaker 1: He's the guru to the gurus and he's a Christian, he's a kingdom believer.
- 24:13Speaker 1: So I get Alana's, my friend Alana Vanderventer.
- 24:16Speaker 1: She gets to go too because she lives in Vancouver.
- 24:18Speaker 1: So see, I say okay, god.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I said how do you want my voice?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Now you're leading me to people to help me say the voice.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So that's encouragement for someone.
- 24:29Speaker 1: You may have an issue You're not sure how you're going to get if God's going to part this Red Sea, or am I just going to be stuck on the other side and stuck no more in the kingdom?
- 24:40Speaker 1: You can be stuck financially.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I really believe that they're kingdom keys.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell you about my company because you got to find it yourself.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You want to talk to me?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Sure, but that's not why we're here and I think, stuck no more.
- 24:55Speaker 1: And I think you represent this by the way you carry yourself, in the way you release.
- 25:00Speaker 1: You know whether you're singing or you're speaking.
- 25:02Speaker 1: You just release people and you know it could be one-on-one and we need more of that.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You're going to be okay.
- 25:11Speaker 1: You know we don't need to be told suck it up.
- 25:15Speaker 1: You know, no, we don't need to be told that we got a father.
- 25:18Speaker 1: So I want you to speak to.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Stuck no More to the person who just that, just want to walk in their identity, and either lack or trauma has kept them.
- 25:32Speaker 1: What would be something that they could hang on to, that you would have for them?
- 25:38Speaker 2: That's a great question, I think.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Number one, you know, just recognizing that your past doesn't define you.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And this can be a hard one, because we've lived it, we've made the decisions in it, we've owned the consequences from it.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Times as I was, I was having breakfast with my aunt this morning and we were talking about just our stories and different things and I said isn't it interesting how I've actually find myself cherishing the pain of my story?
- 26:12Speaker 2: And when God is asking me to let it go and give it to him, I'm holding onto it Like it's something precious, because that pain or that rejection, or that it's actually become an identity.
- 26:27Speaker 2: And when he asks us to release it, none of us here cognitively think well, I don't want to give God my pain.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 26:34Speaker 2: God, take my pain, take my trauma, but sometimes it's become something precious to us.
- 26:40Speaker 2: And so I would say, number one, just get ready to let go and know that you are not the author and you are not the finisher.
- 26:50Speaker 2: You are many things.
- 26:53Speaker 2: God has created you with many gifts.
- 26:55Speaker 2: God has created you with many talents.
- 26:58Speaker 2: God has created you as a unique individual.
- 27:01Speaker 2: You are many things, but you are not the author or the finisher of your faith.
- 27:06Speaker 2: That's his role and you get to be led.
- 27:10Speaker 2: And so if you're struggling with identity, or struggling because you're feeling stuck, or struggling because you're constantly comparing yourself to others, or struggling, you know, just find just to.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Even I struggled honestly to really not just know who I am, but have the courage to vocalize and be who I believe God created me to be like.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Who gave you permission?
- 27:34Speaker 2: Well, guess what?
- 27:35Speaker 2: Guess what he did?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he did, and sometimes you got to get a little bit of an attitude.
- 27:42Speaker 2: You know, and I was a people pleaser, I was like a fire lowerer.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You know, I'm like please can we avoid confrontation?
- 27:50Speaker 2: And so I had to get a little sassy with myself and say, rebecca, nobody is giving you permission.
- 28:01Speaker 2: You've got to just stand up and be who you are.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And I looked around and I saw opportunists and I'm like I don't like that.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I don't want to be like that.
- 28:09Speaker 2: They're just looking for the next connection or how they can make money from this relationship.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I don't want to be like that, I don't want to be a taker.
- 28:15Speaker 2: And so God's like well then, don't be, but don't let that be an excuse to not step out and connect and and and be a good steward of the relationships he's given you.
- 28:32Speaker 2: So listen, to not be stuck anymore.
- 28:33Speaker 2: It's.
- 28:34Speaker 2: It begins with understanding that you didn't start all of this.
- 28:38Speaker 2: That's your father did.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Your father in heaven when he knit you together in your mother's womb.
- 28:43Speaker 2: He started a work and he's going to be faithful to finish it.
- 28:48Speaker 2: You don't have to be in charge of your life, but you do have to come into agreement with what he says about you and listen.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Here's what I realized.
- 28:56Speaker 2: As believers, we are so good at being like God.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Talk to me, lord, tell me who I am and the minute he begins to speak truth, we argue.
- 29:04Speaker 2: We argue with him.
- 29:06Speaker 2: We're like oh God, who are you talking to?
- 29:09Speaker 2: No, do you not know what I've been through?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Do you not know?
- 29:11Speaker 2: You know I'm not a speaker, I stutter, I, you know?
- 29:14Speaker 2: And.
- 29:15Speaker 2: And he says come on, get up and use your voice.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And you're like why I'm scared of public speaking, you know, and and.
- 29:20Speaker 2: And the minute he begins to unleash dreams and unveil things, we start arguing with him.
- 29:26Speaker 2: But we've asked him to tell, we've asked him God, tell me who I am.
- 29:30Speaker 2: God, tell me, show me what you have for my life.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And then we argue with him.
- 29:34Speaker 2: And so I would just encourage you to just get ready to let go.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so good.
- 29:40Speaker 1: You know, I think the best way to get unstuck as far as your identity, new activity produces new identity, new activity in obedience to what God's saying.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I like what you said.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Someone said I won't say who she was, but she didn't think she was a speaker.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And God spoke to her in her car and said yes, you are a speaker.
- 30:00Speaker 1: So she had to break out of that skin that was holding her and now it's not her main thing, but she loved it.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I mean, she was one of the final four or five, whatever they chose.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're not.
- 30:13Speaker 1: You know, there are a lot of women who want to be speakers.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I do see that and that's great.
- 30:19Speaker 1: We need your voice.
- 30:21Speaker 1: But I would always say I say to my friend man, I struggle with regret because I was wrapped up in this relationship and she said well, what would your message be?
- 30:33Speaker 1: You weren't ready, because I'm 61.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I fight over that and I don't need to fight over it, but I do.
- 30:38Speaker 1: But what would you have been like back there?
- 30:44Speaker 1: And I said I've been full of performance.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So sometimes out of your misery comes your destiny, absolutely.
- 30:53Speaker 1: And that's can be hard when you're in the middle of the misery.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But you know that.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You know the sea is going to part.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I'm going to get to the other side and I'm going to speak to the person I once was, if that wasn't.
- 31:05Speaker 1: That's not just a marketing thing, that is that's.
- 31:07Speaker 1: We need you and someone's listening, listen live or recorded podcast or live here on YouTube or whatever.
- 31:15Speaker 1: We need your voice, because your voice is going to shift an atmosphere.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Like Rebecca and I can't shift Right.
- 31:23Speaker 1: You're going to speak to a person that we can't speak to.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Maybe you're going to speak to someone who had trespassed abuse.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I can't speak to that.
- 31:30Speaker 1: You might be able to speak to that.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Maybe you're going to speak to someone who had trespassed abuse.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I can't speak to that.
- 31:30Speaker 1: You might be able to speak to that.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But I think the bottom line is come from that place of knowing who you are in Christ and really, if you want to know who you are, get up every morning and ask God to show you.
- 31:42Speaker 1: That's it.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Just be real with them.
- 31:44Speaker 1: You don't have to sit your butt down.
- 31:47Speaker 1: It doesn't even have to be a Bible.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I have, I read the Bible, but it's on a uh uh iPad, because I had cataracts years ago and so now I can't don't judge me, but I can't read my Bible, even though I can see that iPad has a prayer place.
- 32:03Speaker 1: It has a place where I write notes, so you know.
- 32:07Speaker 1: But that's what I had to do, even in the midst of the cacophony.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Let's talk about being in the midst of the cacophony.
- 32:17Speaker 1: This just hit me the other day because I was in the midst of just trauma and everything.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And go back to what's lined in your DNA and create the way God would.
- 32:26Speaker 1: So, even though I was in the midst of that, from my time with him, he started to speak to me and he was called listen to the vine dresser, the declaration.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I couldn't conjure them up.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I've been writing them for years and finally I started to like whoa, okay.
- 32:40Speaker 1: And then I share a few on Facebook and someone said you need to write a book.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Imperfect action is better than no action, otherwise they'd be in my computer.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I'm using that as an experience that I was in the mess, but I was still connected to God.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I had problems, I had depression, I had anxiety, but every morning I had to make a decision Am I going to get up or am I going to go back to bed in my depression.
- 33:04Speaker 1: You can fight for your voice.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I got up and it was coffee and Jesus.
- 33:09Speaker 1: You can fight for your voice.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I got up and it was coffee and Jesus.
- 33:11Speaker 1: You can fight for the place to fight for your voice is with Jesus.
- 33:13Speaker 1: But that's not it.
- 33:15Speaker 1: It's not.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Oh, we'll quote Bible verses.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's great, but you've got to have the action to create a new identity, activity to identity.
- 33:22Speaker 1: So if there's any message and I think you embody it with your words is stuck no more.
- 33:28Speaker 1: We can go on the more is the plus sign.
- 33:33Speaker 1: That's what god has.
- 33:34Speaker 1: He didn't come to give us just life, he came to give us life more abundantly.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Come on.
- 33:39Speaker 1: So if you want listening live or recorded, we really want to pump into you.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yes, hope, so, on a final note, hope with your statement that you said to your daughter.
- 33:54Speaker 3: You're gonna make it.
- 33:56Speaker 3: You're gonna make it after all.
- 34:00Speaker 3: How do I know?
- 34:04Speaker 3: He told me so oh, so good.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Oh, I think I'm gonna cry.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Oh, rebecca, let's burn the stage up.
- 34:14Speaker 1: And if you guys want to know, september 11th in dallas, texas yeah, I can't remember the venue I think it's called celebration life church.
- 34:22Speaker 1: But look, look, look at yeah and then after that check out amazing conference.
- 34:27Speaker 1: What's the name of the conference?
- 34:28Speaker 1: It's like faith over fear.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's called faith.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Fear into faith, fear into faith.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:36Speaker 1: And if you can get there, I mean we're going to kick it off, but are you staying for the three days?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Yes, I feel like, hey, this is.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I never got to invest in myself.
- 34:44Speaker 2: So that's awesome.
- 34:45Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 34:46Speaker 2: And being in groups of women in rooms where they're just fired up it's like you never know who you're going to meet it's electrifying for me.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Literally it's like my jam I love it.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I just love it.
- 34:58Speaker 1: And I'm the one who can't speak in crowds.
- 35:00Speaker 1: So I'm like, okay, let me just find one or two people that I can talk to.
- 35:05Speaker 1: No, but I'm excited because I feel like to be a good speaker, a mom preacher you can't forget that you have to pour in.
- 35:14Speaker 1: You've never reached a level that, okay, I don't need that anymore.
- 35:18Speaker 1: No, no, no, no.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Always invest in yourself, and you know that's kingdom.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Okay, guys, and sometimes to invest yourself, you have to spend some money.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Yep 100%.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Break out of that poverty.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Hey, if you put it on a credit card, that's not consumer debt, that's an investment right and I believe God helps you pay off investments.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Just, I'm just going to talk money because I'm a money person and sometimes the greatest investments are when you're with people, I said I, I told God after my husband passed and I got starting to get over things.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I was like I just want money to travel, not to see the flowers, but to see my friends who represent flowers.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I want to be, I want to be around people who feel like sunshine.
- 36:01Speaker 1: So when God hears that and you know what I prayed even in the midst of the marriage.
- 36:05Speaker 1: I prayed Psalm 15 in a passion translation, since you like people and Psalm 15 in the passion is talking about people who make commitments, people who speak to you.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I was just like I'm going to pray this.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Ladonna knows that who's one of my friends.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I prayed it 15 years, I believe it and no evidence of it.
- 36:27Speaker 1: But by faith I walked it and now I get.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I consider Rebecca one of my friends.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I get in part of the kingdom alliance where they what I love about kingdom alliances you can know someone for just two months and they're your buddies.
- 36:41Speaker 1: When I was out West I met Michelle Tufford because she lived out West.
- 36:46Speaker 1: That was someone I met last year.
- 36:48Speaker 1: You know we had lunch, talked business, so business.
- 36:50Speaker 1: So I mean, come on, where do you get that?
- 36:53Speaker 1: If you're desiring that, maybe you need to be a part of kingdom alliance.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I'm not selling it literally, I'm not selling it.
- 37:01Speaker 1: That's my speaker covering, but at the same time it's the most beautiful covering with mich Schaefer as the head.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Come on, where do you get a kingdom connection?
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and I I talk about I'm going to end it with this and talk about I talk about it in my Kim 10, but I believe it so strongly oxytocin, in the context of relationships, it represents it's a bonding.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we know it's a cuddle, but listen, in the context of relationships it involves trust, empathy.
- 37:32Speaker 1: A bonding.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Yeah, we know it's a cuddle, but listen, in the context of relationships it involves trust, empathy and bonding.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:35Speaker 1: And then, when we're low, when we're low, when we're alone, when we're isolated, the studies indicate low oxytocin produces high blood pressure, blood disease and a weakened immune system, not to mention depression, anxiety and loneliness.
- 37:50Speaker 1: But this is what God has done for us.
- 37:53Speaker 1: He has brought along technology.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I'm having coffee with Rebecca.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I'm having coffee.
- 38:00Speaker 1: That's one thing I love about podcasting is I'm just going to get to have coffee and let's see what we can do.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Incredible Not that I'm not organized, but that could be you.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I say all that, rebecca, because Kingdom Alliance has an amazing thing called Radiant Leadership Academy, where for 16 weeks, you meet with the same people, you go over kingdom principles, you go over money, you go over identity.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I just feel like I need to say that, because when I was in that midst, I would have loved to have something like that, even though I wouldn't have been allowed.
- 38:35Speaker 1: I would have to sneak into college.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You know it wouldn't have happened, but that's available for you guys and that's truly the beginning point to be stuck, no more.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:46Speaker 1: So, yeah, so, and that's how I got connected mean, it's like I saw you.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I saw you in that retreat I mean the first one, when you were playing, and then you played that south african song.
- 38:57Speaker 1: You're like I gotta play, yeah, and I remember there were.
- 39:03Speaker 1: You know there's just then, of course, in la, I got to kind of you know, hang around you, but that's beautiful guys.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Yes, I don't know about you, but that's my heart's desire, because I'm better when I have people around, people who celebrate me and not tolerate.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You need people who celebrate you and not tolerate you.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You need people who being around them brings sunshine.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Yes, that's my challenge at the end.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I love you.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Let's rock the stage.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Yes, dallas, september 9th, you'll get to hear Rebecca live.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Believe me, this is awesome.
- 39:32Speaker 1: See her on stage and you'll get a real charge.
- 39:35Speaker 1: So we're excited about that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: We're going to burn the stage out for Jesus and we want you to be there September 11th.
- 39:40Speaker 1: What was the stage?
- 39:41Speaker 1: What was the?
- 39:42Speaker 2: I think it's called celebrate life church.
- 39:43Speaker 2: But check it, it's in Garland, Texas, right.
- 39:50Speaker 1: If you're listening to this podcast, maybe you can go to one of our pages and we'll have a recording.
