- 0:00Speaker 1: Here at one look of Alex media. To me, the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Friday story of the day is a former president was
- 0:08Speaker 1: deposed and.
- 0:10Speaker 2: The president went on to say that the President Trump
- 0:15Speaker 2: has never said anything to me to make me think
- 0:19Speaker 2: he was involved, and he met with Epstein.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And that is what President Clinton told the committee today
- 0:29Speaker 1: in a historic deposition over his ties to Epstein. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: know that some are hoping, well, if this former president
- 0:41Speaker 1: can get deposed, what about the current president get deposed?
- 0:44Speaker 1: And we know that that is still an interest, at
- 0:48Speaker 1: least on the Democrats side, maybe on some of the
- 0:50Speaker 1: Republicans' minds too. But here's the thing. The last two
- 0:55Speaker 1: days are quite frankly historic. The last two days of
- 1:01Speaker 1: watching the former First Lady Hillary Clinton react to her
- 1:06Speaker 1: deposition and say she's never met Jeffrey Epstein, and then
- 1:13Speaker 1: today former President Clinton being deposed and testifying on his
- 1:22Speaker 1: ties to Jeffrey Epstein. It's never before seen. If you
- 1:31Speaker 1: ask that eight year old kid who made the peace
- 1:36Speaker 1: sign with President Clinton at Cardinal O'Connor's funeral, that you
- 1:42Speaker 1: be witnessing history of that same president who walked around
- 1:47Speaker 1: the pew and said hey, buddy and down for that
- 1:52Speaker 1: famous picture in the papers when I was eight years old.
- 2:00Speaker 1: If you asked this kid, little Alex, could you see
- 2:11Speaker 1: this president testifying being deposed over anything, let alone the
- 2:22Speaker 1: Epstein files, I wouldn't know how to answer because I
- 2:26Speaker 1: was eight years old. But from that eight year old,
- 2:29Speaker 1: from that perspective and that visual of remembering making the
- 2:34Speaker 1: peace sign with President Clinton across the casket of Cardinal O'Connor,
- 2:45Speaker 1: about a year and a half removed since his relationship
- 2:49Speaker 1: with Monica Lewinsky was revealed, that this president would undergo
- 2:57Speaker 1: another trauma of this Epstein disaster, I wouldn't think of it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I often thought that maybe, just maybe I had met
- 3:11Speaker 1: President Clinton at the right time, that was part of
- 3:15Speaker 1: his healing process as he was literally leaving office. Remember
- 3:22Speaker 1: that election was that year. That was his last full
- 3:26Speaker 1: year as president after relationship with side two brilliant terms.
- 3:33Speaker 1: He understood bipartisanship, he lived it. He and knew Gingrich pulled,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you know, put America on an incredible trajectory, did they not?
- 3:49Speaker 1: But I thought maybe we were meant to be in
- 3:54Speaker 1: that front row at the cathedral at Saint Patrick's Cathedral
- 3:59Speaker 1: to give him some peace and healing, and in some
- 4:05Speaker 1: sense of you know, wound closure. And yet twenty six
- 4:18Speaker 1: years later, that little kid who remembers vividly Bill Clinton
- 4:28Speaker 1: coming across the pews after giving me a peace the
- 4:31Speaker 1: peace sign coming over and I black out as the
- 4:37Speaker 1: pictures are going on. I don't remember that moment. I
- 4:40Speaker 1: remember saying hey, buddy, but I don't remember him kneeling
- 4:46Speaker 1: down him for that famous picture that you'd seen in
- 4:53Speaker 1: the New York Post the next day. But what I
- 4:57Speaker 1: do remember was he was kind, he was gracious, he
- 5:04Speaker 1: was nice. And that picture in the Post, and that
- 5:09Speaker 1: moment with President Clinton where the New York Times said,
- 5:12Speaker 1: oh look he's talking his way to Washington with my
- 5:17Speaker 1: pictures flattered the Times, that moment will be more innocent
- 5:23Speaker 1: and will be innocent forever to me. And I have
- 5:32Speaker 1: prayed for the Clintons these two days. I have because
- 5:43Speaker 1: this is rough to watch this family. The Clintons have
- 5:50Speaker 1: gone through a hell, and sure I often think that
- 5:55Speaker 1: the Global Initiative is a little shady, But because of
- 5:59Speaker 1: that moment and that historic picture and the kindness exuded
- 6:09Speaker 1: to me, I have prayed that they maintain innocence in
- 6:20Speaker 1: this epscene disaster. No one wants to be wrapped up
- 6:24Speaker 1: in Jeffrey Epstein's evil. I'm sure no one wants to
- 6:31Speaker 1: defend themselves from this evil that Epstein had going on.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And so while I saw a president get heckled this
- 6:45Speaker 1: week at the State of the Union by rabid, rabid radicals,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm here to say, when you might consider a GOP
- 7:02Speaker 1: or whatever, even though I'm independent, that it's okay to
- 7:07Speaker 1: pray for the Clintons. The Democrats love to dish dirt
- 7:15Speaker 1: and dish out crap against Trump, when all I think
- 7:23Speaker 1: of America right now is watching this historic moment and
- 7:32Speaker 1: maybe praying also, do we want to see President Clinton deposed? No?
- 7:41Speaker 1: Do we want all the information of what he knew? Absolutely,
- 7:49Speaker 1: But in a moment of unity around all of this,
- 7:55Speaker 1: the fact that President Clinton, I'll play it again, according
- 7:58Speaker 1: to James Comer defended Trump is a massive, breaking news
- 8:05Speaker 1: story that's for you to decide.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And the President went on to say that the President
- 8:14Speaker 2: Trump has never said anything to me to make me
- 8:18Speaker 2: think he was involved, and he met with Epstein.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So, and he met with Epstein. That's major that one
- 8:30Speaker 1: former president is defending this president. And that has been
- 8:44Speaker 1: one strength of Bill Clinton. By partisanship, and being the
- 8:51Speaker 1: good guy, quote unquote, the charismatic guy, the guy that
- 8:58Speaker 1: looked at me during the peace of Cardinal O'Connor's funeral,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and I felt he cared. I felt he cared in
- 9:12Speaker 1: that moment so much that he comes around the pew
- 9:14Speaker 1: to greet me after the funeral and after Cardinal O'Connor's
- 9:21Speaker 1: cask is taken. Will hear pundits, will hear pundits and
- 9:34Speaker 1: politicos opine about this historic moment where President Clinton is deposed,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and we'll probably get from him later today, But take
- 9:44Speaker 1: it from the eight year old kid that saw him
- 9:48Speaker 1: walking across to the other side, when he came around
- 9:51Speaker 1: the pews to greet this little kid in suspenders and crutches.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Take it from that kid's person in the most innocent
- 10:01Speaker 1: moment of that, you know, and that whole thing, and
- 10:06Speaker 1: really of Clinton's presidency. And I think today's powerful and
- 10:12Speaker 1: him reaching across the aisle, even in deposition to defend
- 10:16Speaker 1: the current president. I wouldn't say it's heroic, but it
- 10:20Speaker 1: certainly is respectful. It is a sign of who Bill
- 10:28Speaker 1: Clinton is at heart, I think, and it hopefully brings
- 10:36Speaker 1: healing to all this mess because as one of my
- 10:39Speaker 1: colleagues here says, no one wants to be in the
- 10:41Speaker 1: Epstein files. It's the worst thing to be connected to him.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So maybe once again Bill Clinton, in a time of disunity,
- 10:49Speaker 1: can bring unity by defending the current president. He's always
- 10:54Speaker 1: been a unifier, personal issues aside. He's one of the
- 10:57Speaker 1: most unifying people, especially when he was in office. And
- 11:03Speaker 1: how about that twenty six plus years later, he continues
- 11:07Speaker 1: that unity by defending the current president. This cut should
- 11:13Speaker 1: be played over and over again.
- 11:17Speaker 2: That's for you to decide. And the President went on
- 11:20Speaker 2: to say that the President Trump has never said anything
- 11:25Speaker 2: to me to make me think he was involved, and
- 11:30Speaker 2: he met with Epstein, and.
- 11:32Speaker 1: He met with Epstein. That is the unifier Bill Clinton.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I always thought he was and continues to be, apparently
- 11:44Speaker 1: in the most toughest of circumstances in a deposition, in
- 11:51Speaker 1: a testimony, powerful moment today in Chappaqua, New York. And
- 12:00Speaker 1: maybe Slick Willie, we'll help us that one leg up
- 12:04Speaker 1: on unity. And that's my message on one leg up.
