- 0:00Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 86.
- 0:03Sean McAllister: Donnie Osman makes a big announcement while we're there in the room.
- 0:08Dayna Roselli: And boy, we saw his show at Harris for the first time, and it is good.
- 0:12Dayna Roselli: All that coming up.
- 0:13Dayna Roselli: Plus, after rave reviews all over North America, the immersive Van Gogh experience comes to Las Vegas.
- 0:20Sean McAllister: New things are happening at Sahara, Las Vegas, and Nat's car is back here too.
- 0:25Dayna Roselli: Really, that's just a start.
- 0:27Dayna Roselli: We got a lot to talk about, so let's spin that wheel.
- 0:48Sean McAllister: That's right, what a fun week it was.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: I am now officially 46.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: And I have to say, there were a lot of comments on social media asking you what you do to stay so young and effervescent.
- 1:03Sean McAllister: And I mean, I think it's the gummies that you take.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: It could be the goalie gummies, yes, and FYI.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: You can use code Dana Roselli for 10% off always and free shipping.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: Alright, thanks for the plug, Sean.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: It keeps everybody young.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: Popping those gummies is always a good thing.
- 1:21Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: People ask sometimes, you know, it's so funny because you never know.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: Do you believe them?
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: Like you don't look 46.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: It's like, well, I mean, you're being nice, but uh, you know, they ask sometimes what I do or that, and I'm like, I do nothing, literally.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: Or maybe it's other people who are 46 that you know who really look more like 60.
- 1:41Sean McAllister: Maybe.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: So maybe they're comparing you to a bad 46-year-old.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: It's true.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: Listen, I've never had Botox.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: I've never done any of that stuff yet.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: I'm not saying that I will never get Botox because there could come day.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: I use vitamin C serum, that's about it, and take the goalie gummies.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: I mean, it's all good stuff.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: Those super vitamins just infusing into your system.
- 2:02Sean McAllister: That's all good.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Well, I had a great uh birthday, so thanks everyone for the tweets and thank you, Sean, for everything that you did.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: The balloon, the video of your dog picking me up at the airport because I did a quick trip to LA.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: You had Elvis playing and singing happy birthday.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: And then you and I are gonna go to the steakhouse at Circus Circus because you know I love it there.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: I do.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: I know that we've talked about that.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so we're gonna do that at some point.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: So that's your birthday gift for a date of your choosing.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: Great.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: So happy birthday.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: All right.
- 2:29Sean McAllister: And I think another uh kind of gift that comes along with your birthday is the end of the oppressive heat here in Las Vegas, Dana.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: That's the triple digits, okay?
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: So to apparently, and we're recording this on a Thursday.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: Yesterday was supposed to be the last day in the hundreds.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: So I keep watching because it was in my car on my way over here, and I saw 99 in my car.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: I just looked at my phone and it says ninety-nine, so it's holding steady, so it looks like our forecasters were right.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: It hasn't clicked to 100 yet.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: And I think on average, they say that September 16th is generally the last day of triple digit temperatures in Las Vegas.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: So that means that any time mid-September through really mid-November, that's like the prime vacation time in Vegas.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: Because I think if people don't live here, they might think, well, the nineties, like that's hot.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: But here, the 80s and 90s, especially the 80s, but the 90s actually feel pretty good because it's so dry.
- 3:34Sean McAllister: It's just warm.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: It gives you a night, it feels like you're just being hugged by a good cozy blanket that doesn't overheat you.
- 3:44Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: That's what the 90s feel like in Las Vegas.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: And it's perfect pool weather, too, because you can actually lay out in your lounger for a little while before having to get back in the water.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: Literally, in the the heat of summer, you can get out of the pool and your hair dries in five minutes.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: I mean so quick.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, the this time of year is perfect for the pool.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: It's perfect for even taking a walk on the strip, you know, maybe dipping in and getting a cold drink every now and then.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: But also just visiting Vegas and even having um patio dining is perfect.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: I mean, maybe not in the heart of the day when it's in the nineties, but you know, at night it's perfect.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: I think this morning when I went outside, uh, you know, around between seven and eight o'clock, it was uh still in the seventies, and we haven't felt that in forever.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: So great time of year to visit, as Dana mentioned, great pool weather, which uh is great for the Sahara because they just opened a brand new pool.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: I know, and a lot of people think about, you know, the Sahara.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: It's obviously one of the older hotels because it's a classic.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Then it it shut down and reopened as the SLS and then reopened and rebranded, I should say, then as Sahara Las Vegas.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: So you they've been doing a lot of upgrades through the years to kind of keep that property current because it is one of the classics, and something they just redid is one of their pool areas, and it is now considered an ultra pool.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's called the Azillo Ultra Pool, and this kind of uh expanded on the footprint of the old Sahara pool deck.
- 5:19Sean McAllister: They kind of demolished the entire thing and started from scratch, redid everything.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: There's two levels of cabanas out there.
- 5:27Sean McAllister: Um, it's really beautiful.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: And if you've seen Circa Las Vegas out at their pool, they have it in this massive LED wall that has, you know, any game that you could ever watch during the day on game days.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: They have sporting events up there.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: Well, the Sahara has its own version of that kind of thing.
- 5:47Sean McAllister: They have this massive LED wall that overlooks the pool.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: So you can watch sporting events out there at night when it's kind of more of a party atmosphere.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: They can do all the graphics up there and just change the entire vibe of the pool area.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's really cool.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, how things kind of take off and then, you know, other properties start kind of emulating each other, but in different ways.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: And so, you know, Sahara's a much smaller property, probably than Circa, I would think.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: Not like a huge, huge difference, but it's a smaller property.
- 6:16Sean McAllister: So But I would say that the Sahara has more of a boutique kind of feel to it.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: You know, I'm all for the park and walk right in type of thing instead of, you know, the whole, you know, level garage and walk across and this and that.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, Sahara, yeah, has definitely made a lot of upgrades through the years, and we were just looking at some of the things that they're offering at this pool.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: So if you're interested in going, another great thing is it seems more affordable than some of the other places on the strip because the Sahara is on the strip.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: It is across from and a little bit more to the north of Resorts World and south of the stratosphere.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: But when you look at the pool, the one thing that caught my eye was free admission.
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: And I see that for an event that they're doing on Saturday and Sunday and Monday, and like you mentioned, they're doing like a football sports viewing.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: And, you know, that's great to have free admission to the pool.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: If you want to just go and hang out, but if you want your own space, they've actually made it pretty affordable to secure day beds.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: They have lily pads, which are, you know, their kind of circular bed kind of deals along the pool.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: They have cabanas, as I mentioned, and bungalows on the first and second floor of the pool.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: The uh day beds out there start with a rental fee of 150 bucks, and then there's a hundred and fifty dollar food and beverage minimum that goes along with that, which when you compare to other pools on the Las Vegas Strip, that's extremely affordable.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: It is, because if you're gonna get a cabana, it means you're gonna be there for not just one hour.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: You're gonna be there for hours, right?
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: So you're probably gonna have some lunch, you're probably gonna have a drink, whether it's alcoholic or not, or maybe get a bunch of water.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: So it adds up.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: And the cabana rentals uh are$400 with a$400 food and beverage minimum.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: Uh, and you can have anywhere from six to ten guests in the cabanas, which I mean you split, you know, with a that's an eight hundred dollar total.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: You split that between ten people, that's eighty bucks a person, which is great.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: And that's just for the the minimum.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: Um, the bungalows you can have up to 12 people in there, and that's uh that'll run you about a thousand dollars from a five hundred dollar rental plus the food and beverage bottle.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: A bungalow is bigger than a cabana, a bungalow is bigger than a cabana, yes.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: Got it, and that's got uh the TV, the surround sound, the fridge, the couch, two sun loungers out front.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: That's like a good sundae.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: I mean, it's a good way to go, especially because you don't necessarily, when you're out at the pool, you don't necessarily want to be out in the sun all day long.
- 8:59Sean McAllister: No, and that gives you an option to have some shade.
- 9:02Sean McAllister: So, I mean, really, I say a Zillow Ultra Pool is the way to go.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: It's got a Moroccan design to it.
- 9:10Sean McAllister: So, well done, Sahara.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: Can't wait to get over there and experience it.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you and I will go check that out.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: Um, it's funny when we're talking about when you're talking about the prices being affordable.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: When I went to see, I told you my favorite comedian, Sebastian Manascalco at the win recently, he had a whole joke about the cost of pools these days.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: He was like, I'm staying here at the win, and he was like, I'm just trying to go to the pool, get a little sun and read my book.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: And he goes, I'm waiting in line, and they tell me that'll be$10,000.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: And he was exaggerating, but he was like, Well, what do you mean?
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: I just want to go to the pool.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: And he's like, Well, we can get you a lily pad for$8,000.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: And he was making fun of the prices and how you can't just go to the pool anymore.
- 9:47SPEAKER_02: So it was kind of funny.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: But yeah, that's definitely affordable over there at the Sahara.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: So the pool is opening there.
- 9:53Sean McAllister: It is still pool weather.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: It's also NASCAR weather, and we have a big race coming up here in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is uh just north on your way out of town.
- 10:06Sean McAllister: Uh, if you're heading north up the 15, you can't miss the speedway, it's over on the right hand side.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they have a lot of events there.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: The main thing are the races, but they've also actually opened that up now over the last few years to have the electric daisy carnival there um as well.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: So it's a big, big space.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: Uh people come in here from all over to see NASCAR, and it's huge.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: And historically, uh, I think it's we've always had a race in March, but then a few years back they added a second NASCAR race, which here in Las Vegas, it was big news when they added a second race because it brings in hundreds of thousands of people.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: And this is the I think South Point 400, but there's, you know, races all weekend long.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: There's different kinds of events with all the drivers and fans come in from all over.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: Uh, the weather should be perfect.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: It should be uh just looking way ahead, because it's not the weekend of the 17th and 18th, but it's the following weekend.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: And so it looks like it'll be like 91, so that's nice.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: We always used to laugh though when people would get off the buses from the speedway because they'd be wearing their sunglasses all day.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: And even though it is 90, when it's sunny, they would have those rings of suntan around their around their eyes.
- 11:18Dayna Roselli: So wear plenty of sunscreen if you're going out to the race.
- 11:21Sean McAllister: Well, and that is uh tip number one of episode 86.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: Even though it's bearable to be outside, you're still gonna get tons of color from being out there.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: So keep that in mind.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: And on the subject of sports, what a Monday night football game for the NFL.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: The Raiders and the Allegiant Stadium hosted the Baltimore Ravens.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: And what a game, first of all.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: It was edge of your seat, overtime, the Raiders won.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: But what a night when it comes to the stadium, because it was the first Monday night football game where patrons were allowed to attend the game.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: Last year we had football, but the public was not invited because of COVID.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: And so, you know, we've been talking about different things like in the stadium handle, the parking, and blah, blah, blah.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: But the place was packed.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: Even my dad in New York was calling me and going, I'm watching the game.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Holy cow! It's you know, just loaded with people and what a spectacle.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: The Thunderbirds flew over my my condo uh for the flyby.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, what an occasion.
- 12:25Sean McAllister: I mean, it really was it was spectacular.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: And hearing the announcers on TV talking about their own experience at this all new stadium, all new for fans, um, and they just showed so many different vantage points from inside the stadium.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: And uh I think it it was a great experience all the way around, and then just a lot of people saying the best football game they have ever seen went to overtime and it was back and forth.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: People losing the ball and getting it back, and the Raiders finally won the game, which was just phenomenal.
- 13:04Sean McAllister: So really, I think that was uh probably the best way to kick off the Raiders' first official season game inside Allegiant Stadium with Monday Night Football.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: You know, I agree, and I think you know the Raiders have it's been they caught a lot of flack, you know, obviously moving from not only just a different location, but you know, a different state.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: They were in California before, and then building a new stadium and the cost, and then not allowing fans in last year, even though some teams did.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: It was such a great way to, you know, now build momentum for this team.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: And uh here is tip number two of episode 86, and something that you experienced firsthand, Dana.
- 13:44Sean McAllister: Uh, even though the Raiders did move from California, people wondered, oh, is this gonna dwindle the fan base?
- 13:50Sean McAllister: Are people gonna come and see them now that they're here in Las Vegas?
- 13:55Sean McAllister: Well, I think you can report that people are coming in to see the games.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: They are.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: And the reason we say that is because when I mentioned Sean picked me up from the airport, I was in LA on Sunday.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: On my way back on Monday, I took a southwest flight.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: Uh, we were delayed an hour.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: Then when we got on the plane, we kind of sat there for a little bit and we're getting like waiting for the okay to take off.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: And our pilot came on and said, Listen, here's the deal.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: There are so many corporate jets flying from California to Las Vegas for the Monday night football game at the Raiders Stadium that it's like throwing off the whole air pattern, and so we have to wait our turn.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: So it was like that feeling of you build it, they will come.
- 14:37Sean McAllister: And they certainly did, and they're flying in on their private jets for these games.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: So I mean it is good to hear that there are, you know, members of the Raiders fan base from California who are coming out here.
- 14:49Sean McAllister: Obviously, you know, these are the people with private jets who can who can just hop on a plane and come out here on a whim.
- 14:57Sean McAllister: Um, but it is.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: It's good to see that there is now a new fan base here in the Las Vegas Valley, along with uh the traditional Raiders fans over the years.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: And as we've mentioned uh in past episodes recently, uh when I mentioned I was out on the phone with my dad, he said no one's wearing masks.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, well, you don't have to because the Raiders have a policy in place now that you have to be vaccinated to attend the game.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: Um there is one little exception, and that is if you get a vaccine on site, you are allowed in the stadium, but you do have to wear a mask.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: That's probably why we didn't see a lot of masks.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: But so they have a stadium full of fans that are vaccinated and mask-free, because right now here in Las Vegas, you have to wear a mask indoors, not outdoors, but indoors and the stadium, which also a lot of people don't realize.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: They think it's um actually not inside, and that we have one of the retractable roofs, but we don't.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: No, we have a giant glass window at the north end of the stadium that opens up so that there's a great view of the Las Vegas strip from inside the stadium, but the roof that is uh that's enclosed all year round for so that we can keep the air conditioning in and the sun out.
- 16:07Sean McAllister: Um, but Danny, you mentioned the vaccines to get in to the Raiders games.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: There were 6,000 people who received their first dose of the vaccine in order to be eligible to go to this uh first regular season game for the Raiders.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: There were 300 vaccines that were given on game day on site, and then the rest of those 6,000 were given at other locations, but they had the uh proof of vaccination that they had just gotten the shot so that they could get in.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: So I mean that's not just a few people, that's a a good number.
- 16:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really good number.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: And you know, I mean, that's the thing.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: If you want to go to the game, if you want to have these experiences, the Raider said this is what you gotta do, and it looks like a lot of people did choose to do it, which is good.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: Yeah, it paid off.
- 16:57Dayna Roselli: And we mentioned vaccines and a quick little note.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: We talked last week about the theater opening up at Virgin Hotels, and Sean and I went to the uh opening with Gary Clark Jr.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: was the performer, but we got to see some of the new upgrades, and I definitely did notice the VIP upgrades.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: The VIP social room was really cool with couches and a great view of the stage.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: As we looked down, you could see some of those VIP areas right in the front row there as well, a lot of couch areas.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: So everything that Tiffany from AEG talked about last week definitely held true when we got there and visually saw it ourselves.
- 17:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, and cosmetically, I think it it was a more modern feel inside there.
- 17:36Sean McAllister: Physically, I think it generally stayed the same.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: One thing to note though, when we went to the box office to pick up our tickets, there was a gentleman in front of us who needed to either show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours, and that's a condition that the theater over at Virgin Hotels and A.E.G.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: the operator have put in place uh to be able to go in and see concerts.
- 18:02Sean McAllister: Uh he did not have uh proof of a negative COVID test.
- 18:08Sean McAllister: However, they were offering them on site, so they were telling him where to go.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: But here's the thing it costs 130 bucks to get one of those rapid tests on site.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: So keep that in mind.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: If you are not vaccinated and you do need to show uh a negative COVID test, just keep in mind it's probably not going to be free at events like concerts and sporting events.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: You probably will need to fork out a good amount of money to get that test done.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and that's a good point because I recently was on a music video set for a friend of mine, and we had to get COVID tests, but they just recommended, you know, they gave us a heads up a few days earlier, and they told us to get a curative COVID test.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: So I didn't really know what that was, so I looked it up.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: And that's basically all the free spots around town.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: So you can go get a free COVID test, but it's not a rapid test.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: It will take two or three days to get the results.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: So basically what we're saying is plan ahead.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: If you're going to a concert, you're going to an event where you need a negative test, you can get it for free if you plan ahead.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: If you're going to get it on site, like Sean just mentioned, it's going to cost you.
- 19:18Sean McAllister: And uh just kind of staying on the COVID theme here, uh, one of the biggest conventions that we have in Las Vegas all year is the National Association of Broadcasters, the NAB show that comes here.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: And it's the latest and greatest in broadcasting sets, uh, camera equipment, anything that you could imagine.
- 19:39Sean McAllister: Plus, there's like speaker series that go on.
- 19:42Dayna Roselli: It's like heaven for Sean and I.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: We are looking forward to it.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: However, uh they just canceled less than a month out, I think two weeks out from the convention, and they pulled the plug, said nope, with a Delta variant spreading so much, we are not going to risk it.
- 20:00Sean McAllister: We'll see you in April.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: It was really sad to hear and so close to the actual convention.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: I know a lot of people were disappointed, but you and I were noticing they were sending out a lot of surveys.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: And so I don't know if the response they got from those surveys what led them to the decision or maybe the lack of response, because you and I were also getting emails saying invite people, handout free exhibit passes.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: So maybe did they need more people that were going to commit to attend, and maybe it just wasn't worth it because they weren't getting the amount of people that they would normally get.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: So anyway, we don't know what the factors were, but we do know COVID is obviously the main reason.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: But they do say they'll be back in 2022.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: And I also did just get an email from CES, and it looks like right now that's taking place in January and it's still on.
- 20:44Sean McAllister: Well, and at this rate, we need CES to stay on the books because you know, with big conventions still, obviously on the fence, the convention business really is what drives Las Vegas in order to meet the bottom line of what's expected here.
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: We have that beautiful new convention center.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: I talk about it all the time.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: I want people to use it.
- 21:06Sean McAllister: And so few people have seen it.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: It's so pretty.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Um, well, you know what we did see is Donnie Osmond at Harris and his new solo residency show.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: And what a great time.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: We I've been gushing over this show to everyone that I see.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: Sean, I was surprised.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: And I'm not this isn't a slam to Donnie.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: I saw Donnie and Marie years and years and years ago because they had their show on the strip for a very long time.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: I think it was like 11 years.
- 21:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, over a decade.
- 21:31Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: And then I've seen them perform at things like the Caesars 50th anniversary and things like that.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: Always excellent.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: But I wasn't sure what Donnie's show would be like and if it would interest me.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: But holy cow, it was literally one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time.
- 21:46Sean McAllister: I know one of our mutual friends in the media uh came up to me actually at the uh the theater at Virgin Hotel's opening and said, Is Dana on Donnie Osman's press team?
- 21:58Sean McAllister: Because she was just gushing through.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: To me about his show.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: I've never heard her talk so highly about anything before.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: But she is all in on Donnie.
- 22:08Sean McAllister: And I'm telling you, rightfully so.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: And remember what you said when we were talking about Usher.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: You talked about, you know, how when there is a show in Vegas, there has to be some sort of, or, you know, in our opinion, a little bit of a Vegas element, or you leave that show and it makes you become either a fan if you weren't one before, or more of a fan if you were a fan before.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Makes you want to maybe download some music from that person, makes you want to talk about it with other people.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: And that's what the Donnie Osman show did for me.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: I talk about it all the time.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: I thought it was excellent.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: I thought that he had such a great variety of songs.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: He had songs that he had done through the years.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: He had current songs.
- 22:53Dayna Roselli: He had stuff from his new album that he just released.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: He changed costumes.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: He had great dancers.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: There was a Vegas bit in it.
- 23:00Dayna Roselli: There was a dedication to Marie Osmond.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: And then let's talk about this 10-minute rap that he did.
- 23:07Sean McAllister: Yes, you heard that correctly.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: Donnie Osmond does a 10-minute rap in the middle of his show.
- 23:17Sean McAllister: And I mean, I don't want to ruin it for everybody because it really is something that you need to go and see.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: But essentially, during this rap section, he recaps his entire 60 plus year career in show business in rap form.
- 23:39Dayna Roselli: In rap form, complemented by uh video screen.
- 23:43Sean McAllister: Multimedia full of experience.
- 23:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: Full of pictures and videos.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: And literally, I'm talking every time he hit a change, like uh going from one thing to the next, the rap and the picture or video literally followed along in sync.
- 24:01Dayna Roselli: It was just so well done and so highly produced.
- 24:05Sean McAllister: And I there is no way that I would be able to make it even halfway through.
- 24:11Sean McAllister: I would be out of breath.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, to have to have to do that?
- 24:15Sean McAllister: Well, then to memorize it.
- 24:16Sean McAllister: And then to memorize it, and then to have to keep going with your show.
- 24:19Dayna Roselli: There was no prompter.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: No, there wasn't.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: Even though Donnie knows his own life, still you have to remember, because he even talked about I always say, you know, things work better when you rhyme them.
- 24:28Dayna Roselli: So that was kind of like a rap rhyme.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: But we talked to him after, and I was like, How did you remember that?
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: And he was like, It's not easy, you know, and he laughed, but he was overjoyed that we expressed that we really liked it.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: And I think it's because he put so much work into it.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: Yeah, he did.
- 24:43Sean McAllister: And he sifted through decades and decades of old videos, of Osmond family appearances, of Donnie and Marie shows, of Donnie's solo appearances, of music videos, everything.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: He has picked the best of the best of his entire career and put together one hell of a show over at Hara's here in Las Vegas.
- 25:05Sean McAllister: So um, you know, we mentioned it before, but we will be sitting down with Donnie uh to talk in person on a future episode of Vegas Revealed.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: We did, as Dana mentioned, chat with Donnie uh after the show and you know, had a great little conversation with him.
- 25:23Sean McAllister: Um, but we're gonna have a great chat once we do sit down with Donnie.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: He's a great, great person.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: Uh, love having him a part of Vegas.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: Couldn't ask for more when it comes to someone, you know, dedicating their time and just being excited to be here as well.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Uh, we mentioned that Donnie did make an announcement while we were there, and that was exciting.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: He announced uh the show already has kicked off to such a great start that they have added all new 2022 dates.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: So he's gonna be performing at Hara's through November of 2022.
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: At least that's what's on the book so far.
- 25:59Dayna Roselli: So at first there were just 2021 dates.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: Well, it's not a bad thing when you're what, a week and a half, two weeks into a new solo show and you already are extended for an entire year after your first announced run.
- 26:15Sean McAllister: So bravo to Donnie, to his cast, his crew, everyone involved.
- 26:20Sean McAllister: It it is a phenomenal show, and definitely put that on the books and get tickets for when you're in town.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: And something I just noticed when I was reading off the dates, I was reading the press release to get the dates right, and they called what we just called the rap, they call it an auto-repography.
- 26:38Sean McAllister: Really?
- 26:39Sean McAllister: Yes, isn't it?
- 26:40Sean McAllister: Oh, instead of an autobiography.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: Right, an auto-rapography.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: So yeah, go check out Donnie Osman.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: He's over at Harris.
- 26:46Sean McAllister: And something else you might want to check out uh while you're down on the Las Vegas strip is uh a new exhibit/slash experience that has opened up at the Crystal Shops over at Aria.
- 27:00Dayna Roselli: It's called Immersive Van Gogh, and there were some construction delays, but it is now officially open.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: And I want to just point out there was something similar off the strip at area 15, but it is a completely different experience, this Van Gogh experience.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: So if you've heard of this before, this is different.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: So this is called Immersive Van Gogh, and it's on level three of Crystals, like Sean mentioned.
- 27:24Dayna Roselli: Also, want to point out there's free valet at Crystals, so keep that in mind.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: But it's this whole experience where you kind of travel through the mind of Van Gogh.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: And Sean and I actually haven't seen the full-on exhibit, but we did get a little bit of a preview, and it looks like it's gonna be amazing.
- 27:42Sean McAllister: I mean, it really does take you, it feels like you're stepping inside of Van Gogh's most famous pieces of art.
- 27:52Sean McAllister: We're talking about a starry night, that field of sunflowers that everyone knows.
- 27:57Sean McAllister: And this experience puts you right in the middle of that.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: Uh, we spoke with the producer of this experience.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: His name is Corey Ross, and he talked about how excited he is to finally have this exhibit open.
- 28:10Sean McAllister: We're so excited to finally be here in Vegas.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: Well, and I know, and this isn't the first location, this isn't the second location.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: Tell us about all the places that you plan to go to and also have been already.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Well, this is the ninth location.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: We're in New York, we're in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis, Charlotte.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I've forgotten a couple.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: Um, but uh Vegas, because I produce several shows here, I have WOW and Potted Potter and Extravaganza.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: It was an important market.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Uh, and uh it's been a huge project to get us open here at Crystals.
- 28:42Sean McAllister: And uh when we talk about uh this Van Gogh experience being immersive, explain to people uh exactly what that means.
- 28:51Sean McAllister: What are they being immersed in?
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Well, it's really tricky to explain this to people who haven't seen it.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: It's a completely new genre, it's a completely new way of experiencing art.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Um, the first thing I usually say is if you saw immersive Van Gogh on Emily in Paris, then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about because it got to be very popular in the US among people who saw that Netflix show.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: Um but we have a gentleman out of Italy, a guy named Massimiliano Siccardi, and he's really the Steven Spielberg of the genre creating these immersive art installations.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: He's been doing it for 30 years in Europe and uh sold millions and millions of tickets, and I met him and I said, I really want to bring your work to America.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: And uh and from there the conversation began.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: What you experience is you walk into a room and in the gallery, all parts of the architecture, the floors, the walls, the columns, the brickwork, it's all being projected on with uh hundreds of projectors.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: We have over 500,000 cubic feet of projection space and over 90 million pixels being projected.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: Um and so you walk in and you walk through the art, and then Sicardi has animated the art, so it begins to move around you, and there's movement within the pieces, sunflowers swaying in the breeze, and clouds going by and stars twinkling.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: But beyond that, the pieces morph from one to another, and it's choreographed to music, which begins to give you a sense of what might have been flashing before Van Gogh's eyes in the moments before he passed away.
- 30:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's incredible.
- 30:14Dayna Roselli: And what I was thinking, what I was just gonna ask you is are you taking us through his art or his mind when we talk about the immersing into something?
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: But it's like a little bit of both in a way.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: It is both, but it's really in his mind.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Um so the effort here is to go beyond simply displaying the art, beyond walking through the art, but really getting into the into the mind, which is an interesting place uh in the case of Van Gogh and understanding how he imagined things, how he thought about color, uh, how things progressed um in his mind artistically.
- 30:45Sean McAllister: And is there kind of a through line with what you're doing here in Las Vegas?
- 30:49Sean McAllister: Because I I walk in here and it's clearly going to be visually stunning.
- 30:54Sean McAllister: And then we look at wow, and we look at extravaganza, and you take the performers off the stage, and those shows are also visually stunning.
- 31:02Sean McAllister: Is that just what you guys are all about?
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: Well, look, I mean I'm interested in the strong visuals, although I suppose you wouldn't say that that's potted potter.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: It's more about we fly around the world and we see really interesting and exciting things, and and it's an exciting part of my job, uh at least when there's not a pandemic, to fly around the world and to see exciting things and to figure, you know, what is it that might work and would be interesting to other people like me in America, and uh and so we we bring them here.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: Um and each of these shows has its own unique things.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Certainly, if you think about this show and the WoW show, which stretches out into the audience and and sort of breaks that fourth wall and comes right at you with the with the stage thrusting the way it does into the audience and some of the acrobatics happening right on top of you.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: Well, here you're right inside the art, you're right inside the show.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: So I love shows where where it's participatory like that.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: I suppose we have that in Potted Potter, where we have the interactive game of Quidditch with the audience as well.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: So I I like shows where the audience becomes more active, more involved.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: Uh I find it exciting, and I find that the public finds it exciting.
- 32:01Dayna Roselli: And I was gonna say, for folks that don't know and that might be listening, uh Extravaganza is at Bally's, Potted Potter is at Bally's, and wow, is it the Rio still, right?
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: They're back in the same spot that they were before pre-pandemic.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: Correct, correct.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: So we're reopened everywhere where we were at Bally's and Rio, and then here uh this new show at Crystals.
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: And Crystals is a great spot, and a lot of people, you know, don't get here often, so this is also a reason to come to Crystals.
- 32:24Dayna Roselli: But talk about the experience.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: When you come in, when you buy that ticket for is it 30 minutes, are you st are you a part of it walking through, or are you standing and everything's happening around you literally for 30 minutes?
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: No, it's well, first of all, you don't have to stay only for 30 minutes.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Typically, people stay for several loops of the show.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: Um, but you come in and uh the other part that we haven't even spoken of is David Corins, who's the set designer of Hamilton the Musical and Deerevan Hansen and the Academy Awards and a number of other things.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: He's created the environment.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: He's designed the environment that Massimiliano's work has projected onto.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: He's designed all sorts of incredible activations and sculptures in the lobby.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: So you come into the into the gallery, uh, and the first thing you experience will be David Corins' work.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Uh and then as you move into the gallery, then you begin to see what Massimiliano Siccardi has created.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: But you move through.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: It's choose your own adventure.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: You should walk around, you should examine this from different angles, you should see everything that's going on and pass through the art, and that's a really active and exciting experience.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Alternatively, some people do like to sit, um, so that's an option as well.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: But uh listen, if you're ADD like I am, for sure, you're gonna be one running around this place and looking at all the different angles and seeing everything.
- 33:33Sean McAllister: And the choose your own adventure here uh is pretty good for your Instagram feed too, huh?
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: So there are certainly a lot of people who come in and uh and and get great shots.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: Um and it's a great, it's it's a great date night.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: Um we have we were rated in USA today as the number one date night in America.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Uh and it's a great family outing as well.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: So if you're here with kids and you want to give them their first experience with Van Gogh, this is an excellent way to do it.
- 34:00Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, it's such a good idea too, the date night, because then you can have something to talk about after.
- 34:04Dayna Roselli: Either if you want to avoid and end the date or if you want to continue the date.
- 34:09Dayna Roselli: You've got two things going.
- 34:10Dayna Roselli: Anything else you want folks to know about this display that may have not, you know, been here before or been able to see it in any other city before we let you go?
- 34:18Dayna Roselli: Because I know it's important for you to let people know what this is all about and your vision.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: Well, it's really it's an incredible experience.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: It's an it's just this completely new way of experiencing art, and it's caught on.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: We've sold over three and a half million tickets.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: We've had big stars come through and and have incredible reactions.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Madonna came in New York, um, George Lucas came in Chicago.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: We had a cartoon about us in New Yorker magazine.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: It really is a show that's entered the zeitgeist in a way that nothing I've ever worked on before has.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: And it's because it's so fresh and new and such an incredible experience to have after whatever we've been through, a year and a half of being deprived of any kind of experience with art where you can go out of your house.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: This is the thing that you deserve to see.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: You should treat yourself.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: It's so much fun.
- 34:59Sean McAllister: Well, I can't wait for everybody here in Las Vegas to come out and be immersed in the world of Van Gogh.
- 35:05Sean McAllister: Corey, thank you so much.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: Okay, so to learn more, you're gonna want to go to their website.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: It's vangovegas.com.
- 35:12Dayna Roselli: Vangovegas.com.
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: There you can get all the venue information and you can buy tickets.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: They start at$59.99.
- 35:22Dayna Roselli: And I wanted to mention, again, it's at the shops at Crystals on the third level, and it's in an all-new place called the Lighthouse Las Vegas.
- 35:30Sean McAllister: And there are going to be a lot of exciting announcements that are coming out in uh the next few weeks and months associated with this exhibit.
- 35:39Sean McAllister: So you'll definitely want to go check that out.
- 35:42Sean McAllister: And when those announcements are made and we're able to talk about those, you'll hear it here on Vegas Review.
- 35:51Dayna Roselli: And unrelated to Vegas, but still in the world of show news, a big shout out to New York City because Broadway is back, and I know a lot of people are excited about that, Sean.
- 36:01Dayna Roselli: I also know in October you're gonna be heading to a couple shows for a quick long weekend to kind of celebrate the opening as well.
- 36:07Dayna Roselli: What are you gonna see?
- 36:08Sean McAllister: Uh, so we are going to see uh To Kill a Mockingbird with uh Jeff Daniels, uh Waitress with Sarah Borrellis.
- 36:19Sean McAllister: She wrote the music for Waitress and she's starring in it uh as the show gets back up and running.
- 36:24Sean McAllister: Also, we're seeing the show called Six, which never officially had its big Broadway opening before the pandemic shutdown.
- 36:33Sean McAllister: It's a show that that opened over in London's West End, came over here, it's about the six wives of Henry VIII, and it's like a rock concert.
- 36:43Sean McAllister: There's the six wives are doing kind of a rock concert, and they all kind of take on the persona of different really famous pop artists, but have all of this music that kind of tells their stories from the wives' point of view.
- 36:58Sean McAllister: And I have a feeling that we're gonna see a lot of awards racked up for a sh for this show called Six, uh, you know, once that is award eligible.
- 37:08Sean McAllister: So it'll be great to see those shows and also uh a few other big ones that just reopened.
- 37:13Sean McAllister: The Lion King, Wicked, and Hamilton are now back on Broadway also.
- 37:18Dayna Roselli: Gosh, the Lion King just has life, man.
- 37:20Dayna Roselli: That just keeps going and going, doesn't it?
- 37:22Sean McAllister: It's the circle of life, akuna matata.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: Akuna matata.
- 37:26SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 37:27SPEAKER_02: All right, well, why do you say we do some tips?
- 37:32Sean McAllister: So, Dana, for my first tip, which I guess in the grand scheme of episode 86, this is like tip number three or four.
- 37:40Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 37:40Sean McAllister: But it's officially tip number one.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: We have a lot of tips throughout the show.
- 37:43Sean McAllister: Uh, we're headed to downtown Las Vegas, where Main Street Station has just reopened within the past week.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: So I had no idea it was still closed.
- 37:54Sean McAllister: I know.
- 37:55Sean McAllister: I've been down there, I've driven past it.
- 37:57Sean McAllister: It's seemed like there were people out and about around the casino.
- 38:02Sean McAllister: Maybe they were just walking by the colour.
- 38:04Dayna Roselli: And the lights have been on, so you don't realize, yeah.
- 38:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, but Main Street Station is now officially back open in downtown Las Vegas.
- 38:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and if you've never been, it's a cool place uh if you love old Vegas.
- 38:16Dayna Roselli: So we're excited that they're back open.
- 38:17Dayna Roselli: They have a great brewery there that I've been to many, many times, and it's kind of fun if you want to go watch a game or just have dinner and maybe something a little bit more relaxed than like a fancy dinner.
- 38:26Dayna Roselli: But congratulations to Main Street Station.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: We thought that was so important to get out there during this episode.
- 38:32Dayna Roselli: I saw like Circa and some of the casinos and hotels around there saying, you know, welcome back, my friend, and you know, congratulations.
- 38:40Dayna Roselli: So it's another piece to this opening puzzle.
- 38:43Dayna Roselli: Happy to see that Main Street Station is back open.
- 38:46Sean McAllister: And uh Main Street Station also uh houses Winston Churchill's uh pool table.
- 38:53Sean McAllister: Really?
- 38:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, on the upper level, I don't know how accessible it is to the general public, but up on the uh top level, the balcony area that overlooks the casino, Winston Churchill's pool table is up there.
- 39:06Dayna Roselli: Uh you probably can't play pool on it, right?
- 39:08Sean McAllister: Well, I maybe with special uh permission, maybe you can.
- 39:14Dayna Roselli: Look at that.
- 39:14Dayna Roselli: But it's really cool.
- 39:16Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, that's really cool.
- 39:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's cool inside Main Street Station.
- 39:19Dayna Roselli: I'm just looking at the pictures you're showing me.
- 39:21Dayna Roselli: It's it's really a beautiful property, especially if you love the old feel.
- 39:25Sean McAllister: We need to head over there and get the inside story on that.
- 39:28Sean McAllister: So stay tuned for that.
- 39:29Dayna Roselli: All right, well, our next tip has to do with parking.
- 39:31Dayna Roselli: I know we talk about it a lot, but it's definitely a very hot topic.
- 39:34Dayna Roselli: And this has to do with Caesars, just because we often say you can park free at Caesars with a Nevada ID.
- 39:40Dayna Roselli: So we don't want to throw people in the wrong direction.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: So we did go to Hera's, both of us parked there separately.
- 39:46Dayna Roselli: Now, I was first reading that you could park there for free within a three-hour window, which for a lot of people that's a lot of time.
- 39:53Dayna Roselli: However, by the time we entered, by the time we went to Donnie Osmond's show, by the time we went to the after party, we had been there for more than three hours.
- 40:01Dayna Roselli: However, it was not taking my Nevada ID.
- 40:04Dayna Roselli: Then it wasn't taking yours, and you hit the call button, and what did they tell you?
- 40:07Sean McAllister: I did.
- 40:07Sean McAllister: I called the parking attendant, you know, as I was sitting at the arm backing up traffic inside the parking garage.
- 40:14Sean McAllister: I uh had the guy talking to me on the little speaker there.
- 40:18Sean McAllister: I said, Hey, I'm trying to scan my Nevada ID and it's not going through.
- 40:23Sean McAllister: He said, Well, that's because uh free parking for locals ended on September 1st.
- 40:29Sean McAllister: I was like, What?
- 40:31Sean McAllister: I didn't hear about that.
- 40:32Sean McAllister: Me either.
- 40:33Sean McAllister: So we did send a message over to uh the reps at Caesars Entertainment.
- 40:38Sean McAllister: Haven't heard back about that, about you know, whether it has the free parking for locals has officially ended, or if maybe we just exceeded that three hour window of free parking.
- 40:50Sean McAllister: But either way, uh even when we went in, the machine wasn't scanning my ID.
- 40:56Sean McAllister: Uh which usually you scan your ID, the arm goes up.
- 40:59Sean McAllister: But who knows?
- 41:00Sean McAllister: We're we'll be investigating.
- 41:02Dayna Roselli: But that's a thing.
- 41:03Dayna Roselli: See, and that gets it to my point that I came.
- 41:06Dayna Roselli: It's just not simple.
- 41:07Dayna Roselli: No, it's not.
- 41:07Dayna Roselli: And I that's what's holding up these parking garages, is we just need a simpler way.
- 41:12Dayna Roselli: If you want our money, fine.
- 41:14Dayna Roselli: We just want to get in and out with ease, so we don't get frustrated, so we don't back up people behind us, so we don't have to push the call button.
- 41:21Dayna Roselli: All that.
- 41:22Sean McAllister: Arms and tickets are not the way to go.
- 41:24Sean McAllister: Ugh, it's not there is a better way to do it, and we need it implemented citywide.
- 41:30Sean McAllister: Worldwide.
- 41:31Sean McAllister: Screw the city, worldwide we need it implemented.
- 41:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I don't know.
- 41:35Dayna Roselli: Maybe we need to be maybe we need to start a board, like the the free parking or the of the park, not free, the parking on the strip board.
- 41:43Dayna Roselli: Who wants to be a part of it and we'll have meetings every other week and and hold protests?
- 41:48Sean McAllister: So are you officially calling for the creation of the P P P C?
- 41:56Dayna Roselli: And what does that stand for?
- 41:57Sean McAllister: That would be the people of paid parking policy committee.
- 42:02Sean McAllister: P P P P P C C the Quadruple P C.
- 42:09SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 42:10SPEAKER_02: Let's do it, let's do it.
- 42:11SPEAKER_02: I'm calling for it.
- 42:12SPEAKER_02: I'm calling for it.
- 42:13SPEAKER_02: Except I don't have too much available time, so if we could just maybe meet over Zoom, that would be helpful.
- 42:18Sean McAllister: Or in an email every quarter.
- 42:20Sean McAllister: An email, yeah.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: Because it's true, because I do hate to Zooms as well.
- 42:23Dayna Roselli: Oh man, it's a different world out there, folks, that's for sure.
- 42:26Dayna Roselli: So we love that you listen, and we know a lot of you have written us saying that you do actually have plans to finally come to Las Vegas in this what we call fall window, even though it's still in the 80s and 90s, um, here in Las Vegas.
- 42:39Dayna Roselli: And we look forward to hearing about your trips and hopefully taking some of our recommendations.
- 42:45Dayna Roselli: We always have something out there for you.
- 42:46Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, I I announced last week that the pork chop was good at the Italian restaurant at Caesars, so you never know.
- 42:53Sean McAllister: That's a great tip.
- 42:53Sean McAllister: I mean, I never would have guessed that that you would have had that.
- 42:56Sean McAllister: But yeah, when you are in town, shoot us a note on social media or on uh email and let us know about your Vegas experience, what what you're you know going through on your trip, and if you have any tips that you've acquired over the years.
- 43:12Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 43:12Dayna Roselli: We did get a great email from one of our listeners who just discovered us in the UK.
- 43:17Dayna Roselli: And coming up on a future episode here, sometime soon, we're gonna use what he suggested that we do, and that's some of the free attractions around town for someone who maybe has never been or is on a trip alone.
- 43:28Dayna Roselli: Because some people do like to come out to Vegas alone.
- 43:30Dayna Roselli: Like what can they walk around and do and what are the must-see places?
- 43:34Dayna Roselli: Uh, which seem obvious to people who live here, who have visited here many, many times, but there are people who haven't, and and we welcome them to town too.
- 43:42Sean McAllister: And really, there is a a long list of those things.
- 43:45Sean McAllister: So we'll compile that all into one episode, and you'll be uh seeing that.
- 43:50Sean McAllister: Actually, you'll be hearing that on a future episode here on Vegas Records.
- 43:54Dayna Roselli: All right, we hope you have a great week, everyone.
- 43:57Dayna Roselli: Thanks for listening.
