- Blake: ⁓ my god! Welcome back to another, say it with me, another episode of Mention It All again. I am your host, Blake. And, as always, I'm with my co-host, Casey. Hey Casey. Casey: Hey everyone, happy new episode listening on whatever day or time you're listening. Happy, happy day, happy night. I'm happy you're here. Blake: Happy afternoon even. Happy afternoon, happy morning, happy evening, happy middle of the night. Some of you might have insomnia and you might wake up and listen to us and to those people I say, go back to bed. Go back to bed. Try to go back to bed. Welcome back. Casey: Happy everything. Maybe some people use us as ASMR for their sleep. Blake: And you know what? I have been told that we both have really nice voices. So if you wonder how did these two freaking idiots get into podcasting, it's because someone told us we had nice voices. So thank you. It was both of us going, wow, your voice is so nice. Has anyone ever told you that he was such a nice voice? Casey: so nice. And it was each other to each other. No, I'm just kidding. Blake: But thank you guys for tuning in and you know what I have to say. You asked we answered. Because I've gotten a couple DMs. I won't say how many. It could be one, it could be ten, it could be a hundred. And you'll have to figure out how many it was. But I've gotten a couple of DMs that said when are you gonna talk about the Alicia show? When are you gonna talk about? Casey: you Blake: Rory I mean to be honest like it was really only like an Alicia stan who said who called it the Alicia show and then everyone else Within that range of one to 100 was like when you're gonna talk about Rory Um, and we're talking about it today. We are mentioning it all again now Wait, that's what I was gonna say. That's what I gonna say. Welcome to mention it now because that's what this segment is called Because we're talking Casey: Mention it now. You thought we weren't gonna mention the now? Blake: You thought we were only gonna mention it again? We're mentioning it for the first time. We're mentioning it now to mention it for the first time so that later we can mention it all again. If that's confusing to you, Casey: Correct. It's like that video, ⁓ it's like that video of the girl and she's like, ⁓ you thought this was a rabbit or Winnie the Pooh or something? And then she flips it around and she's like, it's Winnie the fucking Pooh bitch. Cause it's like Winnie the Pooh in a rabbit suit. Like that's us. Like whoa, like you thought we were only gonna do this. It's Winnie the fucking Pooh bitch. We're gonna mention it now today. I'll find that video. So people don't think I'm like insane. Blake: Ha ha! Whoa! Whoa! It's, yeah, we can... Well, we are mentioning it now because we are capable of speaking about things that happen in the current and the present. And I think that we would be remiss if we didn't add our eloquent voices to the conversation surrounding The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. And I think before we can even get started on discussing... I'm not gonna say the meat and potatoes. I feel like I've said that every episode for the past ten episodes. ⁓ before we discuss... ⁓ Casey: I'm start- I'm gonna censor it in post-production. I'm gonna bleep that out, like, I don't want the listeners to have to suffer. Blake: No, I don't even like potatoes. I don't know why I say that. It's annoying. But I think we have to have a quick little debate. Is it Rory or Rory or Roray? Casey: I'm glad you brought this up because when I was at that event with the Real Housewives of Rhode Island a few weeks ago, the people that were hosting it announced them as the Rory. And I just, don't like the way that sounds. It's not cute, like Rory? It sounds like a little Irish boy growing up in the countryside. I don't want Rory. Rony is the only one that I say like that. Blake: I don't either. Yeah No. i'm clapping, because it's true. rony, i feel like, makes a lot of sense. you don't say roa for atlanta, you don't say roa- Casey: No, you might like read it in your head like that when you're like reading like a caption, but that's a different thing. Like same thing as like you read like an acronym is like BRB, but you know it's BRB. Like you're not going to like play this game. Blake: Right. Right, you don't say Rome, don't say Robe, you don't say Roke, like all those things are just wrong. And Rory, I think if Rory wasn't a real name, it, like let alone a name that sounds like an annoying child, I would be fine with it, but it does sound like an annoying child's name, so I can't get behind it. Casey: Right, so now we're gonna give it Rory. I agree. And because like, I think when I read it, when I read the acronym, like my brain kind of processes it in this smooth way. That's kind of like the R-H-O-R-I. And it's like, in like a nice, like, I like the way the acronym looks. Like it has symmetry, like the I on the end. Like we don't need to make it into Rory. And then we're forgetting about the symmetry of the actual acronym. We're good here. Like, and I think, yeah, like let's cool our jets on that one. ⁓ If I had my way. Blake: Hahaha. Yeah. I also feel like I agree, like Rony is the one, just like that feels so sweet and gorgeous. But I think that for the rest of it, like it's not even an ease of like, oh, it's easier to say this. It's like, whenever I'm talking to anyone about housewives, I say Rhode Island, Beverly Hills, Miami. You just say the city. you don't have to say, have you watched the real housewives of... Casey: People know enough, like... Every time. Blake: No, you just say like the city. And it's fine. Roni, honestly, I don't even say Roni to like people in conversation if I'm like, have you seen this? Because usually like, I'm not talking to people who are like super tapped in. So I'll be like, have you seen like, like New York or Housewives of New York? Like Roni, I feel like is more of a personal like, or if I'm talking to someone like you, like Roni, but like, Casey: Sure. Sure, yeah. Blake: It's not even like that. You don't need it to sound like phonetic every time you're talking about it. So let's not make it. Let's not put a circular peg into a square hole. That doesn't. Casey: I agree, we're forcing it here, we don't need that. The fandom doesn't need that, we're good. Blake: right. No, and I think okay I'm glad we could settle that. I'm glad that we were able to come to a consensus because I know that in a couple minutes we're about to have some issues with our opinions regarding the quote-unquote Roar-Ree women. That's true, that's true. Okay, well we should bleep that. Let's bleep it. ⁓ Casey: No, stop. We have to be the change we wish to see in the world. Don't say it again. Randomly this episode now starts an era of extreme censorship. Blake: I was gonna say like suddenly like you listen to an episode of ours and it's like every three minutes you hear a bleep like we're just sick of everything Casey: But, probably true. And we're gonna try our best though to keep on hammering on and we're gonna, as Blake just suggested, rank the ladies the full-time housewives at their kind of mid-season point. So that way, for posterity, we can look back and say, remember how I was right? How I... Blake: We just had enough of words. Casey: was on the right side of history or wrong. I guess only time will tell. Blake: Right. Because we will be doing a end of season like complete look back so but I think it like makes a lot of sense especially given that You know first seasons of new shows are always like really short So we were seven episodes in that's like midway And I think it makes sense to do a vibe check Makes sense to do a vibe check where we feel how we feel about the women where we're at in the show And maybe like where we think we're going where we hope we're going. ⁓ But, you know, and I have to say also, like, this is not something we will be, like, Mention It Now will be a segment where, because obviously there's a lot of, like, current Housewives that are airing. Not all of them are Mention It Now worthy, and I'm just gonna say that. I'm gonna say that. have, Casey and I have standards, and if y'all don't know what those are, look it up, Google it, read about them. We do have standards, and... Casey: Absolutely not. Blake: I don't think every current Housewives season needs to be mentioned at now, but I think that Rhode Island does. I think this is actually, I was not expecting it to be good, to be honest. I thought it was gonna give New Jersey's kind of awkward little brother, ⁓ especially because they were shoving Dolores in there. was like, what? Casey: Yeah, no I can see that. Woodshow. Blake: what vibe should we be expecting? And I know that like Rhode Island, just like New Jersey, there's like a lot of Italian Americans, like there's like sort of those like, you know, like white ethnic subgroup type people. And so I was like, are we kind of doing the same thing? Cause New Jersey is in like a rut right now. ⁓ So I was not actually like, Casey: Right, I thought at first that it was like a potential like, in case we can't figure out this New Jersey situation, let's give a couple people a life raft and they can buy a summer house up there and call it a day, like Dolores. And then they seem to have it figured out. So they're like, all right, nobody else needs to jump ship and we'll use Dolores, because she already signed the papers on her rental in Providence. So I guess she can be at some of the parties, because she really hasn't had any type of a role. Why did they do this? Like you guys couldn't have saved that budgetary check and given it to like maybe some other people that were all wanting back or like just added it to the pot for like something more interesting than this? Blake: Or give it... use her salary for like a couple more episodes, you know? we- cause we- we're getting, you know, a mid-season trailer episode 7, which again, I know that's common, like you need to like really see like is this even worth a full season before you go to season 2? Like I get that, but ⁓ I think with Dolores, like my feeling on this is that- Casey: Right. Blake: They were like really afraid these women were not going to know how to like engage in drama and like really push a storyline and push a season forward. Maybe especially because they know each other so well, like the stakes are higher. Like I don't want to like upset my friend. I don't want this to be weird. Like whatever. So they thought Dolores who like barely knows. one person on the cast and it's Liz and they met at a cannabis convention. So like, okay, we'll throw her in there. She's a established housewife. Granted, not even really a housewife who like does a lot, but she's, you know, she's there. She's like tried and tested and tried and true, whatever. I think they were like, she's going to be able to stand there and sort of produce them almost. ⁓ And I think we saw that like with the, with Joe Ellen's 4th of July party, like Casey: Hell yeah. Blake: episode 3 or something, episode 2, whatever. ⁓ There was a point where Kelsey said something like, ⁓ Rosie's here and I'm annoyed with her because of blah blah blah. And Dolores was like... Well, you should go talk to her, like go. She was kind of like shooing her. And so that was like, I was like, okay, maybe she's gonna play this role where she's, you you guys, why don't you go over there and talk about this. And maybe if you go over there and talk about this and then we'll all go over here and we'll talk about this. But then honestly, like these women have it figured out. They don't need her. And that's why she's only been in the first half of the season for like five minutes total. And I'm not mad about that personally. Casey: No, it's dumb. Honestly, moving along, because just like my feelings on Dolores are, I honestly don't even want to talk about it, because there's nothing to say. There's nothing. Nothing was there. So let's get into it and let's we're going to rank the ladies at this midseason point. And, you know. Blake: haha There's nothing, there's really nothing. ⁓ Casey: We are mid-season, so there's room to grow and there's room to fall. There is always room to grow and room to fall in our rankings, both personal and in-house with free. Blake: Wait. Just like Tamara has said on Two Tees in a Pod, which is a podcast you should not listen to because you should listen to our podcast, but she said like, you're only as good as your last episode when it comes to Housewives. That's very true. And especially with these women, like we barely know them. So I'm actually very curious. I want everyone listening to this to bookmark our current positions. I would really be interested. to be held to account on how they change. If they do. If they do, I don't think they will. For me personally, like, I know if they will. Casey: I'll expand on this later, but we've got seven full-time wives on our OGs, our seven OGs of the Rhode Island, of the RI. So we'll start with number seven, bringing up the rear, a valuable position in train caboose-ery, ⁓ but the bottom of our list. So I will go ahead, should we say it like, should I go first or should we like? Blake: You go first, you explain, and then pivot to me. Casey: Okay, so in number seventh, I am placing Rosie. I think partially when I do like, when I do a mental ranking or when I talk to someone about a ranking, like on any type of show, there's like the objective versus the personal. But for the most part, I think my personal like favorites align close to the objectives, but not always. I'm a little like, I'm a bit of a weirdo. So my personal taste can be a little off kilter of like the like What's the word? The gen pop, like where everyone's leaning. But I think this one is objective to me. I feel like Rosie has brought the least. ⁓ I think she like has kind of like the most artificial energy to me. I don't really understand her vibe. Yeah, like is that shade, Phaedra? I guess it is a little bit, but she's not doing it for me personally. And I don't think she's really doing it for the GP either. GP, Gen Pop, look at me go. So I think I'm on the right trend with this one. Blake: I struggle because my six and seven are Rosie and Ashley. Rosie and Ashley. And I'm just trying to decide if, cause here's my thing. So I really don't like Rosie. I think that she's such a tryhard. Like she always wants to give like quirky relatable girl in her confessionals. She's always doing some sort of like. Casey: are close. Blake: ⁓ I'm a little bit kind of annoying and weird and like but you know what like but I am just kind of awkward I'm a little bit strange but like then she goes into these spaces and is like kind of rude to people and like abrasive and like weird and sometimes just straight-up like not nice and It's like you're trying to be likable But at the same time you're not doing anything to make people like you and that's supposed to be our problem as the viewer, no, I think we see straight through that. But the reason I have a struggle here is because I do think that she provides more to the show itself than Ashley, who to me is a similar thing where she's also like, I'm quirk chungus girl, like I'm just a weird millennial. And her fucking tagline that's like, ⁓ My life is like a rom-com! If I'm not crying, I'm laughing! Casey: Okay, but the point of the thing that is relevant about that is that her brand of The Bachelor and her run on reality TV has been really tied to the her crying and the whole saga of her relationship getting together. So she is just building off of what people know her for. So I don't think that that's the worst thing. Blake: It's not bachelor. It's housewives. You're on the housewives. Casey: She didn't say like, me a rose. Like, I mean, like, you know what I mean? Like, she's just calling on her own image. Blake: No, like, right, but like, there was literally a montage that they played at some point in the season where it's like, she's crying every fucking minute. It's like, she's always just fucking, like, at the mansion that they're at, like, the next day after when they go to breakfast and they're talking about, you know, Kelsey's backhanded comment to Rosie or whatever. And then Ashley, who is Rosie's mouthpiece, is breaking down, just talking about it. It's like, Art, do you know what show you're on? Like, do you understand that you are a real housewife? And also, this is barely even drama enough for you to be crying again. And then she does these things. She says like, these women are giving Malibu Barbie and I look kind of just like a- a mom who tried a little bit today, it's like everything with her, it's like, ⁓ I have my Jonas Brothers concert this weekend, like she's always just trying to, like, then she's crying because they're like, everyone reveals something about yourself, take your mask off, and she's like, I always cry about the fact that, I don't have a sob story, but eventually I will! it's like, you're so- what do you offer? you're literally just- you're- she said- Casey: ⁓ I just don't agree. I disagree so hard. Blake: She said she is clinging to Rosie, that's her like friend that she clings to because like she knows her the most. She's her mouthpiece the whole fucking season. She also only offers like the storyline with her and her husband and their like their coffee shop that I don't know if they're closing it, they're opening it. I think it's Ashley and it's Ashley is number seven because as much as I dislike Rosie and as much as she Casey: So is she your last place ranking or is Rosie? Blake: also has a lot of those problems. Ashley to me offers nothing to the dynamic. I don't think the women really even know her that well. So locking it in Ashley number seven. Casey: I disagree with you. I will get to my thoughts on Ashley where I have her, but I think that you're misunderstanding my friend Ashley, I. But whatever. think objectively, as I keep referring to, there's a clear bottom three to me. It's Ashley, Rosie, and Kelsey. Wherever you want to put them in the bottom three, that's where I think the bottom three is. Blake: See, and like for sure Ashley's my last, Rosie is my sixth, but then fifth is hard because... Casey: If you're gonna say what I think you're gonna say, you're about to make a crazy statement, but we're jumping ahead here. Let's go to number six. Well, you already said who your number six is, so why don't you start? Yeah. Blake: Let's go to six, let's go to six. It's yeah. Okay, so it's Rosie because, as I said, I think that as much as she wants to act like, you know, ⁓ she's actually just clocking Kelsey being so fake and whatever, I think that Rosie hides behind this mask of... I'm actually just so shy and like people want me to be this like news anchor who has so much energy and is so extroverted but really the real Rosie is just quiet and these women don't get it and they're always yelling at me. Meanwhile, the entire season you have come after Alicia, you have you know responded extremely rude when Kelsey was trying to say like I really wanted you to post my work, my haircut, my makeup, whatever that I did for you on Instagram because I am trying to build a career which you have made fun of me for not having. Like she is constantly talking shit. She's constantly talking from the side. She's jabbing people from the side. And then she wants to act like people don't really like me. People don't, she's talking about Kelsey at the first episode. They go to the beach. They're having their picnic. She's talking about Kelsey. She's like, what's up with her relationship? You know, and then Jo Ellen's like, fuck off, like shut up, like why are you being so like, why are you talking about her? And then she like lies about that and says Jo Ellen was the one talking about her. She is so fake and like I'm not saying Kelsey's life is completely transparent, which we can also talk about in a little bit, but my point is she wants to act like she's some just normal girl who's a little bit shy and everyone's being mean to her. No girl, like. Whether you have been honest about the square footage of your house or not, the way you treated these women is very like, you are trying to pull one over on them and get a moment and like, like with Alicia, ⁓ didn't she talk like shit about Liz? You know, like, and she's like, stop it. What are you fucking trying to do? I just don't see her as understanding where she fits in this group. And I think it's very fake. And she thinks she's being relatable and like quirky and awkward. And it makes sense that Sheena and Ashley are friends, but I fucking hate both of them. I really just... Casey: I was gonna say, like, you have really strong stances on these two. I feel like that's a lot after seven episodes, like, I don't know. I feel like maybe you need to, like, re-examine this. I do. I feel like you have to give them some room to grow and change. Blake: I do. I do. Hahaha Not gonna happen. I will, if the if if like end of season or like next season I will say this to you. This is breaking news on this podcast. I think that like I'm kind of in a place where I'm now thinking I might be on Lisa Barlow's side of like the Salt Lake City drama. Not that it's relevant, but I'm just saying I have capacity to grow but Casey: What Salt Lake City drama? What are you talking about? Blake: Well, like, you know what's like Lisa versus like Heather and Whitney and, ⁓ Bronwyn, like, I'm just saying I am open to the fact that maybe actually they're wrong, and this is not relevant to this current show, but I'm just saying. Casey: Girl, that is stale as tea. That season came out a year ago. We don't even have any Salt Lake City drama. How are you changing your stance now? Blake: Okay, it's been in the works, Casey. It's been in the works, but I'm just saying I'm open to ⁓ adjusting and adapting to what's in front of me. What's in front of me currently are two annoying ass millennial women who, to be honest, don't fit in with the rest of the group. That's me. Casey: I don't agree with you and I'm not following this argument that you're making here with the Salt Lake City thread, but my number six is Kelsey. I actually like Kelsey. I think I like all of them. I mean, I like Rosie the least, but I like all of them fine enough. I'm not gonna be outside the Bravo HQ clamoring for anyone's dismissal. I'm mostly neutral on my bottom half. unlike my co-host here, apparently, but... Kelsey I think is cool. I have like a little bit sense I think of her personality versus Rosie who I really don't I don't like feel like I know anything about her genuinely like Kelsey I feel like I've had I've watched her have reactions where everything like that's kind of real like she's a little bit bitchy she's a little bit judgy like she watches people do things and she's like ⁓ and I'm like no real like I would have done the same exact thing and like to me that's like all right like you're a real person like I can connect with you a little bit I'm getting a sense of like you're being a real person on camera that's to me. Like I'm cool with that. I do think the like sugar daddy of it all starts to detract from her coming out as a housewife and as like a television personality. Like it's just a weird thing to like tie your ship to for like five episodes and then be like... Forget that and I have this other man now and allegedly it seems like Rosie is searing up off. Well, maybe it'll be on camera, but so far to us off camera like this whole situation of like Kelsey potentially lying about the timeline with the sugar daddy to like have give herself a more interesting storyline when she came on and that obviously is is flopsiddy. Like if if that's what she did, I mean, like I don't care enough to like say fire her if she did that. But I think that's flopsity like come on. Just be a person. You don't need to like fake that Blake: I mean, I've heard that too. I've heard that too, that she, that her boyfriend broke up with her before the show and she wanted to still film in the house and pretend that they were still together. ⁓ But the weird thing about that to me is like they've spoken on the phone at least once during the season. So part of me is like, would he really let her do that? ⁓ And then whatever. Casey: Right, I agree. what does he get? He gets nothing from that besides airing out his messy business on national television. Blake: Right, cause she's still talking about him like she wants to break up with him and then is everyone else on the cast just going along with it and just like, let's just not say that this is fake. Cause if you're imagining like this is their first season, like, they all. Casey: or they didn't know, like they didn't know the timeline themselves and she's just lying, like that's a bigger deal. Blake: Yeah, I guess that could also be true. It just it feels like a lot to believe I could I could see it like it's not like Unimaginable but and I would agree with you That's like ridiculous if she was like because the thing is, know You have a lot of housewives who start and they're like, you know, I used to be married to this guy You know, it's like that's still part of your story You don't have to start the show in the middle of that story You can just be like it ended but I used to be married to this rich guy or whatever So we don't know, but that has been like a rumor. And I think that that also is part of like the Rosie Kelsey drama of like, know, like Kelsey's talking about Rosie's square footage and whatever. And she's talking about, you know, you're a squatter in this house and then part of you thinks like, does she mean squatter in the sense that they're broken up, but she's still living there or you know what I mean? Casey: Yeah, I guess it could really be either but yeah, they're like muckraking They're they're slinging shit at each other like they're they're getting into the pits. So like they have their little feud going on But I like Kelsey fine. I don't think she's doing a lot besides like just kind of being like the like sidekick to some of like the more dynamic housewives on the cast and looking flawless. Like she's a beautiful lady. She always looks really good in person. She looked fricking really good to like, OK, chill. ⁓ But yeah, I respectable number six, I think room to room to increase room to fall potentially. I don't I honestly don't really see my rankings changing all that much, but. I think that's where I'm putting Kelsey. Blake: So can you tell me why your number five is Ashley? Casey: Yeah, what if I wanted to tell the viewers that my number five was Ashley? You just stole it. didn't even also my list is right up here for Blake to see Blake's list nowhere to be found. So I'm flying blind and Blake is reading my list off. So this is honestly sick and twisted. And now you all know what's going on here. Yeah, I am. But it's making me nervous because I'm like, I'm like here, Blake, like, let's be transparent. Blake's like, hell no. Like this is actually a game show. Blake: Cuz Right, but aren't you on the edge of your seat? I'm honestly thinking about it on the spot. Casey: ⁓ but yes, my number five is Ashley and honestly, like I would have simply, I would have put her higher if I wasn't trying to like factor in, I think objective performances. ⁓ but Ashley, I, as you can probably, can you let me speak about my Ashley eye defense? Blake: HIRE! No, that just... Okay, sorry, go ahead, but like, whoa. Casey: Ashley? I love Ashley. I have loved Ashley forever. Like, I used to watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette when I was growing up with my dad and my family. I like even watched it a little bit, like as an independent adult, teen adult, whatever. And then I kind of tapered off because it started to suck and like get weird and creepy. I mean, it was always weird and creepy, but it got weirder and creepier, I feel like, and more like more flop and less like ridiculous. But Ashley was always my favorite, like one of the only girls I stayed keeping up with after I stopped watching the franchise, like This is a reality TV professional down like Blake doesn't understand if you're listening and you understand I know you understand like someone is going to be like I stand with Casey on this matter because this woman has raised millions. Okay, millions could be too many. This woman woman has affected hundreds of thousands. That's probably true. And she's iconic and her and Jared's love story is iconic. And I know what you're going to say. That's the Bachelor. This is Housewives but Blake: I hope. Casey: Respect where respect is due, I'm not gonna just abandon my mother like that. And you wouldn't either if it was a mother of yours. So you have to understand that. Blake: Can I say something though? Someone did send me an Instagram clip of when she was on The Bachelor and she didn't get the rose and then was like in the car and then she was like, I actually want to go back. And then she went back and like said like, will you let me stay? And then they were like, sure. And she was like, okay. Like I respect that. I respect that. mean, again, it is difficult for me to be like, that's amazing. So you get to like have points for being a housewife. Casey: No, like, she's amazing. But that's not necessarily what I'm saying. I'm just saying that, I am predisposed to have her back. And I do think that, like, some of, like, the callbacks to crying, even if it's not her own, pumping up her own brand, I also would not be shocked in the slightest if Bravo wanted her to pump up a little bit of it because she has, the most followers out of any of the cast. And, like, she has a little bit of name recognition and, like, another tie into another show. So, like, I could see that being the case, too. But either way. I think she's finding her footing. She herself has been in like admittance of like, this doesn't, this isn't like my normal friend group. Like this isn't like something I was like expecting to be kind of like this type of way. And I think sure, if on the one hand you could kind of criticize it as you have as like, it's a little bit like, ⁓ I'm so different. Like, and I can't hang with these girls. But I think like what she's trying to say is like, I hang out with like, You know, like less bougie moms like this is like a different group for me like and obviously that's not what people want to hear on housewives But like I mean she's being real about it. Would you rather her not so like I think that's kind of a difficult? Spot to be in but I think she'll she'll she will either find her footing or she won't and like that's you know The name of the game, but I think that she'll find it I think that they want they will want to keep her and that season two could be like a real shining point for her or end of season how things go but I appreciate her commentary, I think it's nice to see an outsider's perspective on some of these women because they're all really intricately connected to each other and like we might not like get a lot of like the like true reactions of like this is kind of crazy like because they all are so used to each other's shenanigans so I think it's a fresh add-in to the group. where otherwise you would have this really tight-knit Rhode Island matriarchy and these other annoying little flies like Rosie and Kelsey and now you have Ashley who's a little bit different too and you kind of have the young bucks and the older ladies. So I think it rounds out the group nicely. Do I think she's having the best first season Housewife performance? No, I think number five says that. That's not even top half of the list, even though I love her. So I am trying to be real, but... Blake: Yeah Do you see her as someone who will have seasons under her belt or who will be gone after like two or three max? Casey: I honestly think that's up to her. think she's probably at a crossroads right now of like, it's either time to lock in and be a housewife or I kind of either collect my check for this season, maybe one more season where I kind of fade out and then I move on, because I kind of help them launch this with some of my followers. I can get back to my peaceful Rhode Island life with my hot husband and our coffee shop, which who can blame her? Yeah. But I honestly am not sure. That's what I mean. it could go either way like I I think her disposition is not to be like this so I feel like it is like almost like a like devil like come this way come like the housewife way like and just be mad at people and like get crazy Blake: I mean with the platform, the money that eventually will like yield her. think like it's. Casey: I don't think they need the platform though, I don't. I think they have enough, like, I think, like, in terms of the reality TV fan base, I don't think they're gonna really gain that much more from Housewives, like, her and Jared. Blake: You don't think the crossover between Bachelorette and then now the committed Bravo fans, like, would yield them? Casey: I think it's really high, but that's what I'm saying. I think people that like, people that aren't, no one is becoming a fan of her because of Housewives. You were either already a fan or you weren't. Blake: But the thing is, like, they could if she was a good housewife. Casey: Right, but I'm saying like right now that's not the case. like. Blake: But I think she might think like, okay, if I stay on for a couple of seasons, like, you know, I think Housewives offers women like an incredible platform. And I also think that for me, it's mainly based on the fact that they have this like coffee shop that I know that they want to like be successful. And I her husband really wants that to go off of, but you know. It's like kinda like Whitney and Justin where it's like Justin had like a normal job, whatever. But I feel like now he's sort of like, don't really care as much about my job because like this has become so big. Like we have this platform, we can do a lot of things with it. You he got fired from his job and they are still fine. No, yeah, but I just think that like it generally like it is great to have like a platform on Housewives when you've been like three, four plus seasons. Casey: Yeah, but he's not like not working now. Blake: I would be shocked if she chose to leave, but I'm just... I need to see... Casey: ⁓ that's what I think is, I think that she's either gonna choose to leave or she's gonna lock in and become like a really good housewife. do. I think like it'll be like that's kind of like she's at that exact point where it's either gonna... Blake: They're going to keep her. Yeah. Casey: It's gonna continue to go. She's like at a midpoint for me. Like I don't think she's like fully declining. So it's either like, let's go up or let's go down. You can probably carry the middle for like another season, but then you're probably out or getting demoted. So at that point you'd make a decision anyways, but it might be too late. So I think she needs to make it in this in-between period. ⁓ So I think let's wait and see. I honestly don't know, but I will say that like the rumblings in like the media about her like and the cast, like I think a couple of Blake: Yeah. Yeah. Casey: them now have like said openly that like like ⁓ if there was someone I had to get rid of it'd be Ashley like I don't really know Ashley like there's been like various little peeps I remember like one of them being Liz in an interview with Dolores like she was like something shady about Ashley like I just like don't know her like she's who I'd like acts from the cast and someone else too Blake: Is that... Is that when you texted me, like, you think that they're all, like, kind of teaming up against her or something? Casey: Yeah, because I saw the Liz one right after I saw somebody else say something similar. Blake: Was it like Joellen maybe? Casey: Cause I don't think it would have been Alicia. And it wasn't Rula. It was either Joellen or Kelsey. I think it might've been Kelsey. ⁓ I feel like it was on her watch what happens maybe. But either way, were the point stands. There were two different. Blake: No, yeah, definitely not. Yeah, Kelsey makes sense. Casey: instances within like a week of like multiple of them being like ⁓ and so I was kind of like ⁓ like not looking good for my sister I feel that way whenever any of the housewives start to do like media comments about another because it's usually like a coordinated like we want her off the show we're making that clear like as we've seen in other franchises but Blake: Yeah. Casey: Then I was in Ashley's comment section. She posted a photo. ⁓ she was at like the Kentucky Derby with a bunch of other housewives. So it was like, like there were tons of photos. She looked cute. Like they had a little cute outing. I'm in the comment section, obviously, as I do to comment mother to comment stunning to comment. love you so much. It's a comment. I love this so much. And this is pretty early on in the post cycle, right? We're talking a couple of minutes on the clock. Like getting those comments quick. I have come. Blake: Hahaha Beautiful strength tonight, Queen. Hehehehehe Casey: I have commented in like the first couple minutes. Liz has commented. Alicia has commented. Joellen has commented. I think that's about it. Whose comments are liked out of those, do you think? By Ashley. Obviously mine is liked. Was Liz's comment liked? No, and this was right after she made that comment in the press. So like low key, I have boots on the ground reporting. Blake: Yours. You Casey: There's tension and I know it and you heard it here first because no one else is clocking this like I'm clocking this. So this, it, it, mark it here. This is my first exclusive leak of tea. Blake: So you think they're beefing? So you think they're beefing? Casey: I know they're beefing Blake. You Blake: well you heard it here first folks mention it all pod breaks it breaks news Casey: When you see this on Bravo and cocktails, remember the source. Blake: Remember who commented first, who commented within the first 10 minutes. Casey: Remember who threw the first comment at the feud? Liz vs Ashley. It was me. Blake: HAHAHAHA Casey threw the first comment at Stonewall. ⁓ Casey: Who's your number five? Blake: Okay, I'm gonna say it, you're gonna be mad, but I'm gonna say it. Casey: I am gonna be mad and I know who you're gonna say even though you're hiding your list from me. This is so twisted. Blake: I think it's... I think it's Rula, sorry. Casey: I just can't even believe that you would say that. Like, I honestly, I'm shocked. Blake: i can't either but like, she's been in bed all season! she's either been leaving a function because her husband gets pressed about cheating on her, so she leaves immediately, or she's in bed not showing up! i want to love her, i want to support her! Casey: And she looked fierce doing it and she's still the talk of the town doing it that's mother Blake: great, that's wonderful, she should be the talk of the town at the table with the rest of the women rather than in bed being like, have such a headache and look, i'm not saying she's not actually sick or whatever but it's- okay, either she's- i mean, we did just study munchausens if we wanna go there ⁓ but like, okay, you're either- Casey: Lisa Rinna? Fectitious disorder. Blake: You're either in bed, fine, that was like two scenes, well first of all, that was probably three episodes, because it was the winery and then both of the episodes where they're at the mansion. But then also, it seems like there have been also two episodes with two separate events where Brian gets asked something about his behavior and then immediately after not really giving an answer and looking sus as fuck, Y'all leave and then we get the little cam in the car of you not talking to each other. It's completely awkward. So Yes, I want to love Rula. I have nothing against her. I don't think she's showing up on this the show like she should be and I want her to stand the fuck up like you know There is shit going on with your husband and she got a after they stopped recording. She got a filming not recording ⁓ She got a restraining order against Brian and he's given like a minority stake in his business to his mistress. There is something afoot. It is nefarious and she is pretending like nothing is there and I can't sit by and watch my Syrian Lebanese sister go through that. Like stand up. You are a smart woman. We all know you are. So it just is annoying to see her especially Acting like Joellen is trying to perpetuate drama for the sake of drama when everyone on the cast just wants you to wake up to the fact that your husband is a like a glazed Christmas ham hog. Piece of shit. Wake up, Rula. Sorry. So that's why she's number five. Casey: I think that that's an incorrect ranking. I think that other people will share this opinion with you though. I think that I'm probably against the grain with my correct assessment of Ms. Rules, of Ms. Rulesy, but I'm gonna save most of my defense for when I get to her in my ranking, which you already know when that's coming, but I, but I think that that's wrong. And I think that people are, Blake: Okay. I do. Casey: taking for granted the impact she's having on this season. That being said... Blake: Interesting. Casey: My number four, and this is where I start to feel tricky with the top four, is where I feel like a lot of them are having very comparable. Same, me too. That's the one I did first. I was like, I know who number one is. I knew who my top three were and then I was less sure about the rest of them. ⁓ And I was less sure about like who I put at two or three. ⁓ Blake: I know what my number one is. I know what my number one is. Casey: Or four, really. The top four is hard. I think, like, these ladies are all doing really great, having great debut seasons, establishing themselves as needed to the cast, needed to the season at least. Let's say that, because, we don't really know yet. Needed to the first half of the season. We don't really know yet. But my number four, and it kind of shocks me to say this now, we're at mid-season, because I thought it would be different, but I am going to say Liz at number four. I think... Blake: I am a shark, by the way. Casey: I know, but I think that Liz had a strong start to the season. think she really kicked things off in the R.I. Like, I think she, like, took that narrator role and, like, led a lot of, like, the Rhode Island isms coming out and, like, pushed the ladies into, good situations and slash, like, bad situations and, got a little, like, you know, she showed she could handle her own. She got a little nasty. She had some good parties. She was showing us her her depth of skills. But I think in this and like the couple last episodes, I feel like she's fallen more to the background. and like one thing that like I wasn't really vibing with slash like made me feel like ⁓ I don't really know like how successful she is gonna be continuing not that I think she's gonna like fail out of it but like just like level was like when they were at that like McMansion and They were all having fun playing in the waterslides and talking to the butlers and she was having a Kim Fields moment and was like, I can't be near these young boys and these waterslides and these drinks. I'm too old, ⁓ I raised children, I need to go back and... Blake: Yeah You Casey: Okay, like first of all, they've been talking to these butlers for like 30 seconds. Like it's not like anyone's like dry humping them. Like Atlanta has done far worse with plenty more married ladies. Like grow up. Like this is, guess I'm kind of saying the same thing to you that you have to the other women, but in this situation, it pisses me off. I was like, okay, so you're just gonna like make it weird and establish yourself as the old one? Like what a weird, what a weird card to play. Blake: Well, my issue specifically with that was like, JoEllen and Alicia went on a walk that was like out of the mansion. Why did you not choose to go with them knowing that the activity the other women had planned was a slide where they were going to be in their bikinis and like whatever. If you felt so strange about that, leave. Like why didn't you schedule another event for you? Like a- Casey: She wasn't invited to the walk. The walk was off limits. It was an Alicia Joel and time only. Yeah, no, I agree with you. Like you came to this situation and then threw like a little bit of a tantrum about it. I just kind of thought that was weird and I found it like off character from like what I thought she was gonna be like and like from what she's kind of demonstrated so far. And I think just in general, kind of like where the last few episodes have gone, she hasn't been super central to. Blake: Or then then take like Kelsey or You know, I just like don't stay there Right. Casey: anything that's going on just beyond like, you know, she's been enjoyable, like, but hasn't been giving to me all that much. So she fell down a little bit with me. I think she probably was one above for me, number three for most recent, but she just dropped to number four. ⁓ And she's been using a lot of AI on her Instagram and I don't like that either. Blake: interesting. i see I haven't looked at her Instagram, but I will say that I disagree with that ⁓ and I will get into it when I get into my Liz ranking but my number four ranking I think is going to be and this is also probably gonna come as a shock to you But it's gonna be Alicia Because wait No Casey: like a lot. I just like don't even know what to say to you. my God. Wait, pause. My cat's rolled up in my charger. ⁓ my God. Blake: Sorry, sorry, no, sorry, that's wrong, that's wrong. I got- hahahaha ⁓ my god. I was just thinking like, wow, I'm not gonna have to really cut much from this episode. Casey: You were kind of stuttering anyways though, so hopefully it'll be an easy cut. Blake: No, because, well, I guess let me know when you're ready. Casey: I'm ready. Blake: Okay, my number four is going to be Kelsey actually, not Liz. Wait, I didn't even say Liz. Okay, start again. Alicia, yeah. Yeah, we're cutting, okay. So my number four is going to be Kelsey because, this is similar to you with Liz, I think Kelsey was higher up earlier on in the season. Casey: You said Alicia, but we'll just cut it. Blake: I I still really enjoy her. do think that I like the fact that she started off with this like rich guy sugar baby kind of storyline because for number one, it's always fun to get like some lifestyle porn. Like when you have housewives, like you have a big house, like whatever it's fun. But like I enjoy. Casey: Unless it's fake though, it's not hers. Blake: the added levels of drama and like, ooh, is it fake, whatever. Like, I mean, we're watching TV. Like, I think it's fun that she's like going to all these extents to make it like something that's worth watching. I also like her as a person. think that she's like, well, first of all, she's gorgeous. I also appreciate that she's going through this like... Casey: Yeah, sure. Blake: point in her life where she's like, maybe I want something more and like, technically I could not work and just be here. ⁓ but I want something more. And also I do like that she's brought the word polyamory to housewives. And I think it's like fun to see a housewife be like, yeah, I'm dating two guys and I'm having the time of my life. ⁓ and also I really like her relationship with Liz and, ⁓ Joe Ellen and Alicia. And I personally, I I'm probably gonna be in the minority on this, I don't know, but I think that I'm, I mean, I'm team Kelsey when it comes to Rosie versus Kelsey. I know some people are like, ⁓ well, you know, she's the one who actually like is insecure about her life because Kelsey has every, or because Rosie has everything that Kelsey wants. I think that Rosie has a problem with the way that Kelsey lives her life and wants to cause problems about it and then Kelsey responds because Rosie's the one who brought it up in the first place. ⁓ never have I ever been a polygamist, which she used the word wrong, but like she brings it up and then is like, wait, I thought that was Kelsey. Like girl, don't be trifling. Like you're trifling right now. Like, and then she wants to act like she never brought it up. I genuinely like the way Kelsey moves. Honestly, I will say, and I I'm a little bit afraid to say this to you because you're like the connoisseur, but I feel like Kelsey gives me like Whitney Rose vibes. Like I can see her kind of having a... She has that like outspoken, messy... Outspoken? Outspoken messiness but like confidence and gorgeousness. Like there's a lot of similar factors going on. Casey: I literally couldn't disagree harder. I don't think they'd get along at all. But would your opinion slash ranking change if it's true that this whole thing was faked storyline? Cause like a lot of what you just said like hitched on like this all like I'm enjoying this moment, this journey, like her being authentic and like none of that would be true. Blake: No, honestly, it wouldn't change because the story, the like rumor is that it happened right before they started filming. So if she was like, let me just like... Casey: I saw Tamra said it was two years ago. Did you see Tamra judges video? Tamra posted a video which we can I can add this in to the Blake: ⁓ I didn't see that. I did not. Casey: episode but so Tamara posted a video ⁓ you're missing like a key piece of information Tamara posted a video because Andy posted like message me your questions for Rhode Island or whatever still pretending like he doesn't just make half them up and Tamara post a video her insane ass and she's like Tamara from the OC here like writing in Blake: haha Casey: Like she either said like a little birdie told me or like, it true that and she said that like you actually broke up with your sugar daddy over two years ago and like you called him and said like it'll be good exposure for like the stuff you have and like how much you have and like he like apparently is a really big housewives fan and like was like, yeah, like whatever like we can do that. And she like liked a comment on the post about like. This is what Rosie's been saying, and people have had this on Good Authority for a while and Tamara liked it. So there's something abuzz in the works and Tamara judges it, got her nose in it. I think probably from someone like Rosie that told her or like... Blake: how would she know that? someone DM'd her or something well if it was genuinely like a two year thing and she's like this would be good exposure and he's like rehashing like reviving this as a storyline and then having all the women go along with it pretending like it's a current storyline yeah then i would be like you're a loser like that's ridiculous and that's Casey: Or they just don't know. Like the other women might just not. Like, cause again, this guy's never there. Like it's like, it would be an easy lie. Blake: but if it's two years and allegedly some of them are close to her, you would know Casey: But we don't know if they've been close for like the last six months or like... Blake: True, but I mean is she just going around lying to everyone for months and months? Casey: I don't know, I just think in terms of, I think that that changes things for me based on what comes out about that. I mean there's lies afoot about it. It's pretty much all but confirmed she lied in some way about it. Like whether it was a week before, two weeks before, two years before, she lied about it. ⁓ So I think to even compare her to Whitney Rose is so disrespectful. Whitney is a real queen. That girl has... Blake: If that's true. ⁓ You think it's disrespectful? Casey: 100 % Whitney has played it nothing but authentic her entire time on housewives. She's put her whole life out there. She's Blake: okay but you're assuming that Kelsey's lying so what if she isn't then would you- no we don't! i didn't say she was i said there's a rumor that she is if she's not Casey: We know she's lying. You just said that she was lying too. Yeah, but if there's that many rumors about it, she's lying in some way. Like, where there's smoke, there's fire. Blake: Well there were rumors that Whitney was a swinger and she's not so... Casey: Like, whatever, I just disagree with you, clearly. Cause like, I don't know why you're on this. I think you're the only Kelsey defender like this. your opinions are actually really kind of scaring me. I didn't expect this from you. I'm serious. I'm scared, I'm alarmed. I feel this close to death right now. I like, I literally like, I'm in shock. Blake: you do and that's fine they're scaring you! think Kelsey's great, I don't- I- look, we have discussed- we have discussed rumors, we have certainly not discussed truths. We don't know what the truth is. So, you should take it- Casey: I think she's fine, like I'm not mad about her. Alright, if you want to be intentionally dense about the- That's like me being like it's rumors about Rula's mistress and her husband. Blake: ⁓ that's not true. Because they have- there's a difference between Tamra Judge talking about something on a video versus Joe Ellen having a literal- ⁓ who is- does- does- Okay, people have been saying that Joe Ellen has a phone with pictures and texts on it, where it's like I'm actively currently getting receipts. I- ⁓ here we go. The AI text messages. Casey: ⁓ isn't just Tamra, like Tamra's getting it from somewhere, like Rosie's been saying it. Could be fake. I mean, if you want to play the rumors game, if you want to play the rumors game, then that's all rumors. Then we can't. Blake: I just don't, I'm not saying that it's true or not with Kelsey, I'm just saying like, we don't have the confirmation. Where is the text, where is like the actual, Joellen has those. So where are, like you can say, ⁓ many people are talking about it. Casey: We don't, I mean we don't know anything then on that basis, but like, regardless, there's been so many rumors about this situation, I think it's pretty damn clear that her and her boyfriend were not together. Blake: you're just mad that i said she's giving me whitney vibes, which i meant as a compliment, but clearly you don't take it that way. Casey: Yeah. I do not. I don't think they're alike at all and I think that like... Whitney has literally been nothing but authentic. think if you can take a look, you can have your criticisms of her and you can not like her. I'm not saying you, I'm saying anybody. Like I'm saying like people have their like dislike of her, like for reasons that are valid. Like I, I mean, I don't agree, but like I think are valid reasons to not like somebody like in a way that like it just might not be your cup of tea. But like, I don't think you could say that she hasn't been like real and honest about the stuff she's put up about her life. Blake: but i didn't mean it as an insult No, definitely, definitely not. Casey: So like, think I don't trust Kelsey in that way. And even if you ignore the boyfriend, what do we know about Kelsey besides the fact that she has two boyfriends and like nothing. Blake: Well clearly she doesn't have much else going on. Casey: Right, but that's what I'm saying. I just don't find her to like, I mean, I enjoy her and I appreciate, like I said, that she seems to have real person reactions to things on camera, but do I think that she's being honest about her life? No, that's why she's in my bottom, because I don't think her and Rosie, I don't really get them as people, as much as I get the other women. I feel like I understand their vibe, their life, all besides my number three, but I have a reason for her being my number three, so. Blake: Okay, so let's move on to number three. Casey: Okay, so I have Rula at number three and I have Rula at number three. Number one, I enjoy her. I think she's funny and I like her and we're friends in my mind. But I think that like, if you take away her whole scandal situation from this season, Blake: which is a big part of it. Casey: These women might be, that's what I'm saying, like we might be scrambling for some content here a little bit and some other people would have to step up more than they already have. Cause it's taking up a lot of the conversation and it's taking up a lot of the like, you know, if you're thinking about a first season housewife season, like, and we are as viewers and these women are too, and the producers are, what do we need that's going to make this season good? What is going to be the plot line that is going to hook people in? Who are going to be the interesting players? What's going to be the drama? Where are we going to get the clicks? And like, obviously they have tons of great personalities on this show. Like, so they knew they'd get like a lot of like character lines and all that stuff, but like, okay, where's the drama going to come from? We know where it's coming from. It's coming from the mistress of the one housewife who they're showing up, he's going to his mom's sickbed, there's a mistress. That's classic Housewives drama. It's perfect for a first season. It's perfect fodder to talk about for a group. It's perfect for the women to all be like, ⁓ It's literally like, you couldn't write it better. I'm so glad that they stumbled upon this situation. No shade or no disrespect to a hard situation for Rula. But that... is a tough situation to be in, especially as a first season housewife where you don't even have a lot of loyal fans that will back you. She's eating a lot of shit, so I think that is important. And just like... she's important to the season. Like this storyline has really taken on, I think, even more. And it looks like it's only gonna keep on giving in the second half. And we know we're gonna get into it at the reunion. So Rula is gonna continue to be a major player. The only way she leaves this show is if her demon husband pulls her off of it by chains. like, she will get asked back because of this, because people are gonna wanna follow how it goes, how she goes, if she leaves him, what happens, how they defend this. Like this is classic. And I appreciate it and it's necessary and you know if it's gonna be shit she might as well at least get some respect from the world renowned Mention it all again podcast and maybe that will help soften the blow Blake: You Do you think that she's actually absent from a lot of these events because she doesn't want to talk about her situation with her husband? Casey: ⁓ I mean like who can say I'd imagine some of them like are certainly a factor like maybe that's like what's making her sick like Two like maybe it's like a like a circular thing of like this is probably really awful to be dealing with especially like When you're making your tv debut like a mistress is a lot to deal with when you're not on television like so like I can so like maybe like it's all just like one big thing and like she's getting sick because of like this horrible like fucking sick weird thing that's happening to her Blake: Yeah. Casey: But I don't know, I mean, like I'm not one to, I'm not Lisa right now. I'm not gonna comment on her health and the validity of her staying home. I'm not her doctor. Blake: But do you not get frustrated with the fact that she is clearly in denial of what is presented in front of her. And she then, you know, she had that one moment with Joellen where she said, I don't want to have the wool pulled over my eyes if someone's trying to like bamboozle me, like I want to know. And then immediately like just jumps to her husband's defense at any given point when there are Instagram stories being posted. Casey: Mmm. Blake: there is- there are locations being had, like, there are- there is evidence, and she just doesn't wanna hear it. and it's... annoying! Casey: No, it doesn't bother me because- Like, number one, think that we've watched so many Housewives have this journey. like to like, it doesn't bother me because I think it's a classic thing. Like how many women come on these shows in horrible marriages and we have to watch them go through a journey of like realization and like healing to like get away from them and like figure out their own shit. Like so many times, like Shannon Bedor and David, like Doritza had her own little thing. I mean like Bronwyn's having her thing now. Like we've watched all these women go through denial phases. is like, Meredith Marx's denial set, central denial is a river by Dochi. Meredith loves to deny, deny, deny and disengage. So like, I'm not mad about it. Like, I think it's like, I, this is what I mean. Like I'm seeing the long game for her. Like she is creating this beautiful housewives arc that she's just beginning. We're in the initial phase. Like if the timeline, like we're just in the little beginning timeline phase of. Blake: You Casey: horrible marriage, suffering, free her phase. And then we'll get to the inevitable messy divorce. We'll get to the slay baddie era. And then we'll see what comes after that. Those are like the, you know, the central three blocks. Blake: So you admit that she will get divorced because he is definitely cheating on Casey: ⁓ those are rumors and I don't feel like I can talk about rumors. ⁓ I just want to follow- No, I want to take the lead of my co-hosts who so accurately pointed out that these are rumors and we don't know. Blake: ⁓ interesting. ⁓ that's interesting. Because Kelsey's rumors, you were so clear too. Okay, well mean Joellen knows, cause she gets texts from... You're not, but Joellen has told us. I mean we have what Joellen... No, she doesn't have texts. She doesn't have texts. I mean the women were looking at it going, ⁓ Liz looked at it and went, ⁓ I thought this was not true, but wow I changed my mind because of what she's showing me. I'm going off of what seems to be true. Casey: I'm not Joellen. Tamra knows about my other rumor. How do you know that? You don't know what she has. Things are, those things, things like that are fake all the time. I think you're being intentionally dense about this nuance. I really do, I really do. Blake: You think so? Well I'm not. Well I'm not being intentionally dense because the thing about Kelsey is that we do still have receipts if you were to show me some sort of text message or something like I could obviously Casey: But like we don't really have receipts about any of this. Like we don't know these people. Like we're never gonna get our hands on them. Blake: Well, we definitely have proof that when they were at the polo match, there was a picture posted at that moment of the mistress and Brian. So like, we at least know that these posts were being made while they were filming. Casey: I like, I think, like, the women could say that, like, you don't have- we, like, you don't have them. Blake: Well, I'm going off of what the women are saying from the show. Casey: I'm going off of what the women from the show are saying too, this is what Rose- like I- like I don't really know like what you think the difference is here. We're talking about Housewife shit. Blake: So. Well, cause you're choosing not to believe what they are saying they're seeing. Casey: Dude, I never even, I wouldn't even be saying this if you hadn't taken that whole intense stance against me bringing up a rumor. I don't know why you can bring up rumors, but I can't bring up rumors. Blake: It's not- okay, that's literally not what it was. My point is, the rumors that I'm talking about have been substantiated to a certain degree. It's a difference, in that case, versus like, ⁓ people- there are rumors of Kelsey doing this, whatever, but it's like, I haven't seen anything like, ⁓ someone sent a picture to Liz that was like, text message screenshot of, you know, ⁓ Kelsey saying like- Casey: I think I just fundamentally disagree with you on what's enough evidence to constitute believing in it. I don't know if we should keep going back and forth. I honestly think we should cut that out. I feel like it's tense. I don't think I'd want to listen to us argue about that. No, I just feel like it's not fun. Blake: That's fine. No, that's totally fine. Let's go to number two. Okay, we can, I mean... Okay, we can cut it out. Let's go to number two. Casey: ⁓ Well you didn't- Did you say your number three? Blake: ⁓ I didn't say my number three. Okay. Casey: Who's your number three? Yeah, I was just talking about Rula. Blake: So my number three is going to be Alicia. And I'll tell you why. I really like Alicia. I actually, the first episode was like, I'm gonna hate this bitch because she and Rosie were having a moment and I already knew like I was not vibing with Rosie. And they were talking about whatever and I was like, ⁓ they're gonna be in cahoots. So I was like, ⁓ she's like, ⁓ she's a... try hard, like I'm not gonna like her, whatever. And then it was clear, like as we were going through the show, she's really funny. I really like her. Obviously she has these like moments where she mispronounces words and like can't think what she's trying to say. But there's also a part of her where it's like. She makes me a little bit sad. And not in like a way where it's like related to her as a person, but like her situation. Like I want better for her when she's talking about how her fiance doesn't have her on the restaurant, her fiance doesn't have her on the house. And she's like, I have to ask Bobby for my, for money and it makes me uncomfortable. And I'm like the, the mother of your child. Like all of that makes, and then the conversation she was having with Joellen about their childhood and whatever, I genuinely feel like she like, this whole like doll thing, this whole I forgive people really easily, like I genuinely, like as much as I find her funny, like ⁓ I ran over a woman and all these things, like she's definitely funny, crackass and whatever. But there's a part of me that's like I wanna protect you, like I want you to be, like I want you to. She clearly has had such a traumatized childhood that she's reverted back to some sense of child whimsy in her adulthood with the dolls and everything. And I think that's just because she hasn't been treated super well. I genuinely see her and I'm like, want you to live. I want you to live. I want you to pay your taxes. Casey: Well, like, I agree with you, but why don't you feel that same sort of sympathy to Rula, in the sense of they're both in bad situations, but like... Blake: I do, I definitely want her to be... Casey: That's kind of what I meant of like, that's why I'm not like annoyed or like holding it against her. Like I feel like you can't get annoyed by that because like there are so many housewives that like are in these bad marriages and are like trying to find themselves and like are dealing with bullshit and like have their own phases of like admitting when it's like really like that bad. Like I think Alicia's in a similar phase quite as it's kept like just because he's not having a mistress scandal. Like she's having the same moments of like, girl, like if you have to ask that question, like obviously like to friends about him not giving you access to your bank accounts and all that stuff. Obviously, you're not in a good spot. another, she put on her Instagram story a couple days ago, literally this past week, and deleted it right after. Asking for a friend, what do you do when he doesn't give you access to any money and uses your image for everything? there was a second one that was, what do you do when it was another thing about controlling her? So it's just, there's gonna be a couple. these ladies that like are needing to get free and like are gonna have to go through some arcs like in this relationship I mean that's true for any housewife franchise like we're that's just America like 50 % of marriages and a divorce or whatever the statistic is now probably even worse like obviously we're gonna we're getting less sampling of the US population like we're gonna see the divorces happen and the marital discord happen because obviously the other 50 % isn't living in harmony so even if you do make it we're still gonna see this drama that's part of the show Blake: Yeah. Yeah, I mean I do feel that about Rula. Like I see her as like potential to be a great housewife and like when I see her on screen I root for her. I want her to be out of that situation. It just frustrates me that she signals at times that she's interested in the truth but then whenever there is evidence presented to her it's like always either it's fake or Jo Ellen's trying to meddle or she's trying to make this a thing or whatever. Casey: Great. Blake: I just feel like it's like when she says I want the truth, I have not seen her engage at all with anything anyone has had to say in a way that's like, it could be possible that maybe something is going on and she just seems completely in denial and I'm not blaming her for that. My point is just... Casey: No, I mean, I agree with you. Like I see how it's frustrating. I think. I don't know, I think it's complicated. like... Blake: I think she's doing it for the kids and I get that. Casey: Yeah, I don't think like, I mean, there's so many things that you can factor into those. Like maybe it's for the kids. Maybe they have like a really dark and twisted abusive dynamic. And like she's in a warped pattern of thinking where like, you know, she sometimes feels like she does want the truth. But then when it's actually in front of her, like she's too scared of like what might happen if like it goes to like the next step. And like, you know, that's all speculation, like relationships and like. those types where there's clearly something going on, like we're never gonna know the full story, like that's between the two of them ⁓ and their household. like, I think, yeah, both of them, like I honestly see in like similar types of Housewife arcs, but they're just getting different branding, because Alicia's getting, like you said, like the silly, like quirky, not quirky, the silly, like. viral iconic moment housewife Queen Rhode Island wrote this Rhode Island bitch like she's really getting that whole edit so it's kind of just like sweeping under like the The bee edit of her besides that is like, ⁓ wait, is her husband Loki a fucking weirdo? Blake: It actually, it actually is true. you say it that way, but it's like true. Like she's been getting a different edit than Rula, but like I have clocked whenever they talk about her husband. I'm like, I actually like feel so uncomfortable because I really feel like this man is not like the, he's clearly not treating you the way that you deserve to be treated as the mother of his child, as the one who was like helping him with his business. And you're talking about. you feel like worthless because he doesn't give you anything and you're just sort of like the stay-at-home mom and I'm like I want you to realize that yeah you've been together for nine years he should be giving you a piece of that business your name should be on the house like and when she did that roleplay with Kelsey and almost like broke down into tears I actually like I was like ⁓ my god Alicia like no this is not okay Casey: My god. Yes. ⁓ I know. Well, it's like watching like a car crash happen in slow motion too, because like obviously these issues are only going to get exacerbated with more income and more opportunities that she's having to come in, which only means more conversations of like, where is this money going? Where is like this appearance going? Like, so it's like you're almost like you're watching her and you're feeling bad and you're almost like feeling this like impending sense of even more doom because like it's obviously not going to it's going to get worse. And now you're in the public eye too. like it's like you're getting to just slipping that in there and like an episode where there's so much else going on. It's kind of like, wait, wait, like this is really bad. Yeah, it's not a good situation. ⁓ But I guess that means I know, I think I know where you're going next. Blake: Well, rewind. Rewind. So, number... Yeah. So I mean, for me, ⁓ my number two is Liz. I, yeah, I actually, so to your point about like, you know, fading out towards the end of the season, I view Liz as one of the pillars of this show. I think that Liz to me is, I agree with you, it was strange that she made such a fuss about being around like young butlers in their swim trunks or whatever, but. Casey: That's what I thought it would be. Blake: To me, like Liz is like an established presence in Rhode Island. She clearly has like a very interesting life. I think she has a like, a very commanding personality. And I think everyone looks up to her and respects her. And I don't think that her pulling back with regard to like the sexy butlers means that she's like not interested in being on the show. as much as she's trying to figure out like how the show should be produced and done. So I think maybe she was probably like, don't think I wanna like be around this, but I think she actually does enjoy being on camera. And like we obviously saw her with the party where she like blew up and ran away. Like I think she has potential to like give us moments. I just, think that to me like Liz is somebody that Casey: Yeah, that was good. Blake: has a rich life with a lot of experience. And I think when we're given like a longer season to really get into it, I think that she has a lot to offer. Like to me, like Liz is one of those people I see as a staple of the show. ⁓ So I, and I've actually really enjoyed her. Casey: Yeah. No, and I agree with you. Like, and I don't disagree with you. And that's what I was thinking originally. And I would have thought like she would have been in my top three locked, maybe even top two locked. But I think for me, it's not like that moment made me think like, ⁓ was she have interest in doing this? It's more like This is a group where most of the cast is well-liked. I honestly don't think that any of them will be fired for season two. I think that they'll all be given at least one more season. So we're probably good, maybe like an Anubi, but I think they'll probably just let them rock. But I just lost my fucking train of thought. Blake: But like Liz you you like Liz you thought she was gonna be in your top Casey: Liz, Liz, ⁓ I do like Liz. And that moment made me think more of like, just looking at the cast, we know that these ladies are all coming back. She's the oldest. And I'm not like saying this in like an ageism way. She's the oldest by a good amount from the rest of the women. so. For me, it's just more like longevity thinking. You gotta think a little bit smarter in that kind of moment. Not that you can't have a misstep on camera. Obviously, that's fine. But I think I'm just like, what is your role going to be if there's gonna be this disengagement from the group if there's a young? thing going on or like you know like if you are just gonna like kind of pick and choose like that when it's really like it's pretty light-hearted like you could have just stood there like you didn't have to like like I don't know I just kind of I was surprised by it because I thought she was playing smarter than it and I think it just made me feel a little bit like I don't know why you'd create like a wet like a distance between you and a group where there already is a literal distance like I would just try and keep that close and I don't think she's gonna go anywhere Blake: in her defense in her defense if joe ellen or alicia were not alicia or alicia? alicia i always get it confused because i'm like alicia that sounds a little bit like spicy for her ⁓ but like if they were not gone Casey: Alisha, I think. Do Blake: and having their own scene. I feel like she's in her element when at least one of them is in the group. So I think it was a specific kind of situation. I do agree with you, she should get used to... Yeah, I agree. Casey: Right. Right, you gotta figure that out. Like, yeah, you're stronger with certain people, but let's get strong with everybody, because that's what we want to see. That's what the fans want to see. Blake: Agreed. Who's your number two? Casey: My number two is Joellen. ⁓ I have been really enjoying Joellen. I felt like at first my clear standouts at the beginning of the season were Alicia and Liz were like who I thought right away. was like, I can like see the star power and like the fan appeal like that they're going to get big hits. And at first I wasn't really sure about Joellen, but she's really created a good little path here for herself. I think she's probably like. I think that her and Alicia are having like the most moments of like virality and like the most like they're getting the most flowers at least on my feeds which could be because I curate my algorithm to a to a T so I'm liking who because I like them so that also could be the case so maybe this is biased media reporting but I'm really enjoying Joellen I think that like she Blake: cuz you like them Casey: has every right to like be mad about and involved in the Rula situation since that weirdo husband called her work. Like otherwise you could probably start to like have at least a little bit of a Lisa Rinna question of like, all right, let's come on, like let the mouse go a little bit. Like, but she's directly involved. So she has every right to like be involved. And I think like the way that she's spoken to Rula has always been like, seeming like it always like seemed like genuine. And like, I'm like, I'm not. Blake: Respectful. Casey: like trying, like I'm really not trying to hurt you, but like I got wrapped in and like now it's out. Like, you know, it never really felt like it was like, girl, like it really, this didn't, I didn't want this to come about because of you. Like it really is like because of everything else. And I mean, of course, like it's a good storyline. It was going to come out on camera because everybody knew it needed to come out on camera for the show to be good. But like, I don't get the sense that like she had any type of bad intentions. And I think like that's a. whether she's thinking into this or not, that's a really smart way to go about this, because it shifts any type of, again, weird, why are you doing this? You're kind of really attacking someone who's in a bad spot. She's not doing that. She's repeatedly, she has the mouse, she's not letting the mouse go, but she's not being evil about it. And I think that's a cool way to position yourself as I'm gonna get involved and I'm gonna stand up for shit, but I'm not gonna be so nasty and so like, targeted as we've seen other women do to other women in horrible marriages on these shows, Anish in bad situations. So I respect that about her. think her sister dynamic really confuses me and scares me. I like... Blake: Hahaha! Casey: I don't love that her sister's getting in the Instagram reels and on like, I don't want that. I'm nervous about that, but that's not her. But I am nervous about all of that. But otherwise I like everything she's selling. That's what I mean. I'm all on board. If she didn't have that sister, I would have no doubts about her. I am a little concerned about that, but what can you do? Blake: Well, me and my cat agree. Yeah, I was gonna say, I mean, I'll get into my version of Joellen, because she's my number one, but ⁓ I guess, pivot, perfect, number one. Yeah, so my number one is Joellen, because I do agree with you that the fact that- Casey: Right, know who, yeah, who's left here. Blake: her sister wanted to fuck her husband in high school and then she ended up getting him but now her sister is the one who like watches the kids with her husband and like jokes about wanting to like have kids with his sperm and shit I'm like okay that's a bit weird and she's like they've never fucked don't worry and I'm like do you know that to be true? ⁓ but I think that she's first of all gorgeous like I'm like she's stunning ⁓ I just I really do also relate to her in the sense where she's like Casey: It's like their nanny, yeah. Yes. Blake: Her trauma and stuff has made her very hard. feel like people take her as trying to be a bitch and dramatic and stirring the pot when I think she's just someone who wasn't really given a lot of emotion and coddling when she was young. So I think that she has a harder exterior. And I kind of see a little bit of myself in that. I also think that, like you said about with Rula, Rula has this idea that she's trying to meddle in her relationship but I get the sense that Joellen really is just trying to be a girl's girl maybe she's not reading the fact that it's not wanted by Rula and so you know maybe she Casey: Right, and it's kind of the same nuance of what we were talking about with Yolanda, bringing it up on camera at all in itself is a thing. So of course that is a factor. But again, I think that that's negated by, your husband brought her right on into this. She can make whatever call she wants, he's really going after her. So I do think that she kind of gets, if anyone gets a pass for it, I do think that there's a little bit of a pass at play here, but. Blake: Yeah. Yeah. Casey: But of course there's gonna be tension. Like if you're bringing up someone's personal secrets on camera, like of course they're gonna be upset. Blake: Well, and then, you also get into the whole, you know, her business was called, so she's mad about that, which I think that's an insane thing to do, especially when it's obvious that you are cheating on your wife. ⁓ But I also really appreciate the fact that she, I just feel like she's a housewife to me that like, you're gonna sit down with her and she's gonna cut into the bullshit, she's gonna mention it, she's gonna give you a good scene, and she's also gonna be real and honest, I don't think she's putting on a lot. Casey: Right. Yeah. Blake: I don't know, to me, I just look at her and I'm like, I'm very excited to see your trajectory as a housewife moving forward. Casey: Yeah, I see her as like an ethical Tamra judge role like Blake: Yeah, I see that. That's a good way to put it. Casey: Like, yeah, literally that's how I would put it. I see her as a more ethical Tamra Judge with a little bit more consideration of what's going on and a little bit more awareness of like certain things that would really turn people off to you, like if you did or said them. So like, that's a good trait to have. think that, I think she'll be really successful on the show. And I think that probably a lot of people have her in their number one or number two spots. I don't think you, again, I don't. Blake: you Definitely. Casey: I guess we agree on, I don't think, we agree on the same top three, not in the same order. So like, we're in agreement of who the people are at the top. Blake: I do have to say, my friend has a friend who DMed him saying they were talking about watching The Real Hostess of Rhode Island. And you know, there was a point in the show when, where Joe Allen was talking about being in a sorority or whatever. And they were talking about hazing. And my friend sent me ⁓ a screenshot of this conversation with his friend. And she said, Every time I see Joellen I think of her hazing my pledge class. I have PTSD. She goes, she had us doing really crazy shit. ⁓ when I was a freshman she came back to URI to haze us. And then, the next episode, I guess she was talking about it more, and this friend said, I'm watching the latest episode. Joellen is a fucking liar. She made us pick up pieces of rice with our mouths while our hands were bound behind our backs. Cause I guess on the show, She was saying something like, I was in a sorority, like, you know, we haze, but it was like nothing crazy. I guess she said something like that. But this person was messaging my friend going, she's fucking lying, which, you know, in the grand scheme of housewives, not a huge deal, but it's still kind of, it's funny. No, it's funny. It's just funny. Like I, it's just funny. No, not at all. Anyway, who is your number one? I mean, I know, but tell us. Casey: Yeah, I was gonna say I can't gap. Right, it's not cancelable, but. My number one is Alicia. I absolutely adore her. think she's hilarious. I like her personality a lot. Like I relate to her. Like I'm a little bit of a weirdo. Like I defo will have like dolls or like some shit around my house. I have Barbie dolls in my house right now. Like I'm gonna have that type of like attitude about life. And like, I think she's... authentic like as I clearly there's a theme in how I rank people like I like to feel like I actually like I'm getting a sense of like the real you and if there is like Doubts or like lack of like moments of like ⁓ this is actually like what this person looks like then like I don't really feel connected personally I don't know like I think you can get around that if you have like a lot of buzz and a lot of like good storylines and like you know like like like Kenya for example on Atlanta like sometimes I didn't really feel like I knew what was going on with her genuinely, but she was serving it and she was giving us Content she was giving us a show so like I couldn't be mad about it I feel that way a little bit about Rula like do I fully know what's going on with Rula? No, but she's bringing a lot to this right now, as I said, like she's got something coming to the table. So well Rula, but I'm getting to Alicia. I was circling back, but I love Alicia. I think that like she is an immediate personality. I think that like I got a real Blake: Do you mean Alicia or Rula? ⁓ okay. Casey: sense of who she was like I was saying and she's hilarious I mean for what everyone's loving her for I'm loving her for I'm right aboard the I'm just like everybody else in this situation you know I'm fitting in with the crowd so I'm with y'all and I'm I'm a fan she's so lovely she's so kind I feel like she has a really good energy she clearly can get activated when she needs to get activated but she also Demonstrated that she like can forgive and move right along which is a good trait to have and housewives housewives housewives ⁓ So I think I think she's got a bright future ahead of her. I think she's stunning. I got I have no no complaints I'm afraid of her husband. That's I guess that's a complaint and I'm afraid of where we're gonna, how we're gonna escape this, if we're gonna escape this. But, you know, that's not my business. I, as a woman who has been in a horrible abusive relationship, I made all the wrong choices and everybody knew it and I knew it and I still carried on doing it. So who am I to judge a housewife who is in a real binding situation with children and money in real life things going on? So I will never, I will never read judge that lane because I can't. simply can't. I'm right there with them. I'm in the battered women category too. So I love her. I hope that things get fixed with the husband, whatever way that is. Blake: What do you say about the, there was a tweet somebody said like, there's gonna be like an epic blow up feud between Liz and Alicia. Like, what do you think about that? Casey: could see that occurring. think again, like you have to start to think about like, where is this gonna go? Like there has to be a, there are only so many scandals. There's gonna be a season where they don't come up with one and they're gonna have to drum up some inner group dynamics to cover the lack of a mistress bomb or sugar daddy or whatever. Like it's gonna mellow out at a point. So like that's what I kind of mean about Liz. Like I'm kind of like looking ahead to like the group dynamics, like. Eventually, they're gonna have to flesh out a little bit more of like who's gonna fight? What are the alliances? What are the teams? We've been able to mostly kiki across the squad, but it's gonna have to it's gonna have to shake the boat at some point We're gonna get up. We're gonna get an inevitable fight where it's half-first half that there's gonna be two sides Somebody going back and forth. I could see it being Liz and Alicia and I think like that's where you'd get Like if it what let's say POV, it's a Liz Alicia feud Ashley's taking a neutral position and sharing tea back and forth between them in a neutral way. She's not gonna take a stance hard unless her Liz have beef as I have suspected then maybe she'd go Alicia, but I still think I still think she's gonna go neutral because again, that's her personality Kelsey's gonna go Liz Rula's Rosie's gonna go Alicia Rula's gonna go Alicia Blake: Rosie's gonna go with you. Casey: Joellen is gonna be our swing pin. ⁓ I think so too, probably because she has to or else we're not gonna have a good, we need somebody else, another power player to go Liz for this to really hit the fan. So. Blake: Liz. I think Joel ultimately goes Liz. Casey: That would be like my hypothesis and I'd be pleased with that. Like I'd be happy with that. Ashley and Rosie, think are interchangeable on like which one of them takes a side and which one of them plays like the shit stirrer like in between like camps. Like, ⁓ I heard this like has a one-on-one like, you know, you can picture Ashley having a walk with Liz and then having a walk with Alicia like three days later, like I heard from Liz like, so like I, yeah, like I could see that. Blake: Yeah, absolutely. Casey: playing out exactly like that. But I'm excited for where things will go. I think they have a lot of open roads where they can take. We obviously have some potential looming scandals, like with the Alicia of it all and like the Liz has like that guy like that's been in her, even though she's like pretty much said she's not going to entertain that being a storyline on camera with these women. So I don't know if we'll get to that. Honestly, hypothesis, prophecy. I think. Skipping, if we skip a Liz, Alicia feud, I think we're gonna get a couple of seasons and then we're gonna get a whole group-esque Liz takedown in like a Beverly Hills LVP way of like, need to take her down. Like she's the master manipulator. Like, yeah, I'm seeing it, I'm seeing it. Blake: ⁓ my god. I hope not, because I really love her, if- Casey: But I think she'll survive it. I don't think she's gonna LVP it. I think she'll rise from the ashes. Blake: I think that there is too many of these women are too afraid. I think they're too afraid of her. Casey: That's why I was just thinking of that connection, because I was like, she has that same kind of like hold on them where eventually something will build up where they all have felt some similar thread of like, I was never able to bridge this because I'm a little bit afraid of her. And if it all converges at the perfect time. We'll get it. Blake: I... you know, I am very excited to see where we fall at the finale after the reunion because I think that we both have very strong feelings based off of like seven episodes clearly and I'm excited to see if we both land at the same place or if maybe like one of us feels the need to apologize and say you were right or if we're both just like... you know what? Clocked! I clocked! Casey: Yeah, and the reunion could really shake things up. I have a feeling the reunion will be a game changer because this is the first time they're all gonna be together after their season has like mostly aired and like they've seen how things have played out. Like it will be a telling moment when we get them in those reunion chairs. I think for a lot of them on like it'll be a little bit make or break of like where they're gonna go for their housewife career, especially Rula. Blake: Yup. Casey: and probably Kelsey who I think will be in the most in the in the hot seat the most. Blake: Yeah, I agree. Well, thank you guys for tuning in to mention it now the inaugural episode of mention it meow And we will absolutely be revisiting this season once it ends But let us know in the comments in the DMS like what you guys like what's your ranking of the women? What do you do you agree with us to disagree with us? Do you hate us? Do you think we should die? Tell us everything? please go on our youtube, we do videos on youtube, mention it all again pod, ⁓ go on our tiktok, mention it all again pod, go on our- ⁓ that- no, tiktok is m-i-a-a pod, m-i-a-a pod on tiktok, instagram, Casey: That's the one that's different. Which in hindsight we should have made that one the same too, but it is what it is now. ⁓ really? Blake: No, it didn't let us, I don't think. I think we tried. Yeah, Instagram, mention it all again pod. TikTok, MIAA pod. ⁓ YouTube, mention it all again pod. For the people who like to do visuals.
