• 1:47
Speaker 1: So here are the recalls you ready A missing seat limiter, meaning that if you slide the seat up or you slide the seat back, electric or manual, it doesn't stop, it just goes right off the track.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Can you imagine how do you need to push the seat back?
• 2:07
Speaker 2: just a little bit, it's a light turn green, you'll wind up in the back seat.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: In the third row.
• 2:11
Speaker 2: Say he's pushing that little red button for that Jackson City.
• 2:14

• 2:28
Speaker 1: The heavy-duty is $2,500 and $3,500 for the model year 2024.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Then they're going to go back because you have to go back.
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: It's like playing the golden oldies Ram 25, 35, 45, 5,500 from 2017 to 2018.
• 2:56
Speaker 1: Loss of abs, traction control from module failure.
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: Now here's a real problem.
• 3:00
Speaker 1: The audi a7, the audi q5, uh-oh 22 high-voltage battery may overheat and catch fire.
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: That's a problem.
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: Thermal event.
• 3:07
  Speaker 3: Carb-a-cube.
• 3:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, always go to safercargov.
• 3:11
Speaker 1: You can go to NHTSA as well.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: There's a place in there you can type in your VIN number, and that VIN number, by the way, can be found up there in the windshield in front of the driver, correct?
• 3:22
Speaker 1: Or you can find it probably in your pocket or on your phone with your car insurance, right on the door glove box that's in a lot of places just punch in that number and you'll be able to tell whether or not your car has been recalled without us having.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: It's a peace of mind thing.
• 3:36
  Speaker 3: It's a piece of something.
• 3:37
Speaker 3: Peace of mind you gotta you know.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: Rest assured that you're gonna check and make sure you got no recalls right, yeah, and you don't want to have the car catch fire in the garage while you're asleep at 3 o'clock in the morning and the car's out there charging or not, it could just catch fire.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, you know everybody thinks, oh, that's just a battery thing.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: No, I remember very well where you know fuel lines would leak, or somebody didn't put the fuel filter on that's underneath the hood, right and it leaked drip, drip, drip, drip, drip.
• 4:08
Speaker 1: And you pull into the driveway, into the garage, and you shut the thing off and go inside and just, it just takes nothing to set the gasoline on fire and there goes up the whole car and maybe the house too well, the fumes are what explodes exactly.
• 4:22
Speaker 2: A lot of people think it's the you know whoa.
• 4:23
Speaker 2: I don't have the gas on me.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: No, no, no it's the fumes are what explodes Exactly.
• 4:25
Speaker 2: A lot of people think I don't have the gas on me.
• 4:25
Speaker 2: No, no, no, it's the fumes.
• 4:26
Speaker 2: The liquid feeds the fumes Exactly.
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: Hemmings sold cars.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Oh boy, here we go, let me get my scorecard.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: I spent some time deciding which cars I'm going to, because there's probably at least two or three dozen cars on, because there's probably, I don't know, at least two, three dozen cars on a weekly basis, but I don't use all of them.
• 4:48
Speaker 1: I use the ones that I think that you know stand out, for whatever reason.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: So our first car up this is guessing how much the car actually sold.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: For Now I don't go into a lot of detail about the car other than the year, make and model.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Okay, now, whether it's a rust bucket or whatever it is, I don't know that.
• 5:09
Speaker 2: I could find that out by clicking on it, you're not going to find a rust bucket on the Emmings.
• 5:12
Speaker 1: No, you don't know that it's not true?
• 5:13
  Speaker 2: I'll bet you.
• 5:13
Speaker 2: They vet those things pretty well, but as long as you tell the truth, hey here's our first one.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Okay, a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: It looks like it's in stock condition.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: It's either red or orange.
• 5:32
Speaker 1: It has the single headlights on it.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Okay, and that's it.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: 1974 Pontiac Trans Am.
• 5:40
Speaker 1: Looks good, looks cool, looks very clean.
• 5:43
Speaker 3: How much do you?
• 5:43
Speaker 1: think that that's sold for.
• 5:44
  Speaker 3: I'm going to go 18.
• 5:45
  Speaker 3: Are you?
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: Mm-hmm, I was going to go 22.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Well, you missed it by a bunch $74,540.
• 5:55
Speaker 3: So it's not a rust bucket.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: My guess is no, it's not All right.
• 6:00
Speaker 1: Now one that may be a rust bucket 74.
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: Single headlight.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Now one that may be a rust bucket, single headlight.
• 6:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a nice little car it is, but still, here's one.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: This is for Jeff, because Jeff is a Cadillac queen you bet.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: So this here is a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and it's kind of copper colored, ooh, and it's got those big ugly hubcaps on it.
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey To cover the whole wheel.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: They're called wheel covers, not hubcaps, whatever um for that, for the price of the wheel, yeah, I was gonna say now for the price, you're gonna wind up paying.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Encourage him, yeah, you'll, you'll see.
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: You'll see.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: How much do you think that that car sold for god it's a beautiful car.
• 6:40
  Speaker 3: I've driven those too, 75.
• 6:41
Speaker 3: Uh, I'll let you go first yeah, I don't have a clue.
• 6:44
Speaker 2: I was going to kind of feed off of what you said.
• 6:46
Speaker 2: I would put it up $38,000 for some reason I'm going to go $9,000.
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: For a convertible.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: It sold for $14,175.
• 6:59
  Speaker 3: So we're tweeners.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: If you cut mine in half, we were tweeners.
• 7:01
Speaker 3: And there's that Pontiac, I will tell.
• 7:02
Speaker 2: Not bad, there you go.
• 7:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, if you cut mine in half, we were 20 years and there's that.
• 7:04
  Speaker 2: Pontiac.
• 7:06
Speaker 3: Well that's what I thought it was.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: I will tell you that I at one time owned a 1957 Chevrolet pickup truck and the problem with going back that far today is unless it's been completely restored, rust is a major issue.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: You don't know where it's been completely restored.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: Rust is a major issue.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: You don't know where it's been.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: This particular truck looks really nice.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: It's got some real ugly wheels and wheels are.
• 7:34
Speaker 1: I don't like tires that stick out of the fender wells.
• 7:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, so they put wheels on there that the tires stick out of the fender wells.
• 7:42
Speaker 3: Do these look like mudders off-road?
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: I don't know Some crap 1959.
• 7:50
  Speaker 2: I think it's a technical term.
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: Chevrolet 3100.
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: So it's a heavy-duty.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: That's why the big tires.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: No, that's dumb, is what that is.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the tires.
• 8:02
  Speaker 1: A Chevy heavy-duty 59, 3,100.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: What do you think that that's sold for?
• 8:07
Speaker 1: That looks really good.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: It's orange, real clean.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: Doesn't look like any big modifications other than those tires and wheels, but my guess is somebody's probably dropped a V8 in it if it didn't have one in it already 14 and not a penny more.
• 8:21
Speaker 2: I would go up around $20,000.
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: $43,050.
• 8:26
Speaker 1: Just a little off.
• 8:27
Speaker 2: So I'm going to think that there's been a Camaro subframe put under it.
• 8:30
Speaker 2: Something Disc brakes all the way around.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: Those are really expensive tires that stick out.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: But that's one of those vehicles that you really have to want a Restomod if that's what it is A Restomod, heavy-duty pickup truck.
• 8:43
Speaker 3: Why that 59 Restomod?
• 8:45
  Speaker 3: I just don't understand it.
• 8:47
Speaker 2: Well, that's back to the single headlights, isn't it?
• 8:50
Speaker 1: No, it's twin headlights.
• 8:51
Speaker 3: yeah, I find better ways to spend.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: All right, here's one 1970 Chevrolet El Camino.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: My daughters don't understand that car at all.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: They said Dad, that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
• 9:03
Speaker 2: That is the only 70 model is the only vehicle hot rod that my wife thinks looks good.
• 9:09
Speaker 2: She said she would drive a 70 model.
• 9:11
Speaker 3: We're going to buy this for her today.
• 9:13
  Speaker 2: I love it.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: I love the El Camino, Especially that 1970 model.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: This looks like an SS model, so it's gold.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: It's got the black vinyl top on it and it's gold.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: It's got the black vinyl top on it and it's got black stripes on it.
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: It's gold.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: It's got cowl induction.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: It does look like it has cowl induction and it's got the stock Super Sport wheels on it.
• 9:36
Speaker 1: So it looks really good.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: Trim rings and all that.
• 9:39
Speaker 2: It doesn't say anything about an LS6 in there anywhere it doesn't say anything about that.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: I think you have the information you get.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: I will give you this piece of paper and you can look it up online, but it's already been sold.
• 9:47
Speaker 1: What do you think it's sold for?
• 9:49
  Speaker 3: 41.
• 9:50
Speaker 3: This isn't Jeopardy, you've only got a little bit of.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: I've got to be at work one day 35.
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: 47, 250.
• 10:03
Speaker 2: Okay, well, it's not an LS6.
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: Close enough.
• 10:05
Speaker 1: All right, since we're in the 50s here.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Since we're in the 50s, let's stay in the 50s for one more A 1958 Chevrolet Impala that was featured in American Graffiti, if you remember correctly.
• 10:20
Speaker 2: Not this particular car, but it's that model.
• 10:23
Speaker 1: It's a two-door, it's an Impala, so it's the big loaded up one.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: This one is red with a white top and it's got big white whites on it.
• 10:32
Speaker 1: Looks all stock, Looks really good.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: What do you think that's sold for?
• 10:38
Speaker 2: That's yours first I would put it up around $28,000.
• 10:41
Speaker 2: I was going to go $17,000.
• 10:44
  Speaker 3: $42,000.
• 10:46
Speaker 2: We are off today, way off.
• 10:49
Speaker 2: There could be three deuces sitting underneath that.
• 10:51
Speaker 2: There's a couple of things that could drive it up a little bit more.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: They didn't offer three deuces in 1958, did they?
• 10:57
Speaker 3: I think they did I think On the Impala when did they bring the 409 out?
• 11:01
  Speaker 3: She's real fine by 409.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: What year was that?
• 11:05
Speaker 2: I think that was like 62.
• 11:06
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe.
• 11:14
Speaker 1: have to look, I'm not that big of an aficionado, that thing is a boat and it weighs about 10 tons.
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: That's okay.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: 1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler Remember the Scrambler?
• 11:26
  Speaker 3: Scrambler yeah.
• 11:27
  Speaker 2: Isn't that what you're?
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: driving this one.
• 11:29
Speaker 1: Here is a little pickup truck 100 grand.
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: So it's got the cab up front and then it's got the truck bed in the back, the CJ8 Scrambler 1983.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: It looks completely stock.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: It's even got those white wagon wheels on it.
• 11:49
Speaker 3: It's got mudder tires on it.
• 11:50
Speaker 3: I'm going to go 11, and that's high.
• 11:52
Speaker 2: No, I was going to go 28.
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: With a Scrambler.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: It's kind of rare, no.
• 11:55
Speaker 2: I was going to go 28.
• 11:56
Speaker 2: With a Scrambler, it's kind of rare, no they didn't.
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: They sold for 27, 825.
• 12:01
Speaker 3: I got close to this one.
• 12:02
Speaker 1: I'm going to give that to you.
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: Thank you.
• 12:04
Speaker 1: Here's one for you, Jeff 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7.
• 12:11
  Speaker 3: Oh.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: Generally speaking, it is a rare car 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7.
• 12:15
Speaker 1: Oh, this is a.
• 12:15
Speaker 1: Generally speaking, it is a rare car 73 Mercury Cougar XR7.
• 12:20
Speaker 3: This is a convertible, it's red XR7 was the luxury version.
• 12:25
Speaker 3: The XR plate luxury version.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: It's red.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: Convertible is white.
• 12:31
Speaker 1: Convertible top is white.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: Got the top down.
• 12:34
Speaker 1: Looks like it's got a combo red-white interior.
• 12:36
  Speaker 3: I'm going to go 27.
• 12:37
Speaker 3: And I have no clue, but I'm going to go 27.
• 12:39
  Speaker 3: It's a beautiful car.
• 12:40
Speaker 3: I'm sure it is.
• 12:42
  Speaker 2: I'd go 35.
• 12:43
  Speaker 2: 16.8.
• 12:44
Speaker 2: No, not even close today.
• 12:47
  Speaker 2: I know.
• 12:56
Speaker 1: The interesting thing here is that there's really no rhyme or reason to these prices that I can see somebody wanted that car and was willing to pay that price to get it right, because that's a lot of this kind of stuff.
• 13:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, 1965 international scout, because you know they're about ready to bring the scout back out.
• 13:07
Speaker 1: Well, this is one of the original 65 international scout white in color.
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: It's got some.
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: It's a resto.
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: It's got some.
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: It's a Restomod.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: It's got some modifications to it.
• 13:19
Speaker 1: Unfortunately it still has those really ugly big mirrors on the side of it.
• 13:24
Speaker 1: I don't know why you'd keep those on there if you're going to Restomod it.
• 13:26
Speaker 1: But whatever, to each his own.
• 13:28
Speaker 1: It's got a black, shall we say a convertible top, but I don't know what it is.
• 13:36
Speaker 1: Soft top, it's a soft top.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got the plastic windows in it.
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: 65 International Scott 32 32.
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: Mars.
• 13:44
Speaker 2: No, I'm going to go with 46.
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: 20 20.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: Now here's one that you two should really zoom in on.
• 13:52
Speaker 1: You should really zoom in on, okay, a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle that light blue color.
• 13:59
Speaker 1: They must have made a bajillion of those Sort of like what they've got at Pro-Am.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: Yes, but this one is a hard topper.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, it's a coupe, obviously, and it's got some sort of package on it where they had the black stripe down along the door.
• 14:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, bottom of the door.
• 14:18
Speaker 3: Sport racing package yeah, some stinger or whatever they wanted to call it?
• 14:20
Speaker 3: Does it have any kind of like wheels?
• 14:22
Speaker 1: No Special wheels, that's all stock.
• 14:23
Speaker 3: Okay, I'm going to go $12,000.
• 14:27
  Speaker 3: $12,000.
• 14:28
  Speaker 2: Ours.
• 14:30
Speaker 1: No, I'm going to go $18,000.
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: Jeez.
• 14:34
Speaker 1: You guys are terrible today, I know.
• 14:35
Speaker 1: Here's one for me.
• 14:37
Speaker 2: It's end of year sale prices I can't keep up with.
• 14:40
Speaker 1: It looks like a rust bucket.
• 14:42
Speaker 1: Oh, at least he gets honest about it, and it's got the trailer behind it.
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: What is it?
• 14:47
Speaker 1: It's a 1958 Mac B42, which is basically a tractor, if you will.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: Not a tractor tractor, not a farm tractor.
• 14:58
Speaker 1: But a tractor Tractor semi-truck tractor Correct, but this is a 58 model.
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: It's a rust bucket.
• 15:04
Speaker 1: There's no paint, unless it's rust brown.
• 15:08
Speaker 2: Is it a cab?
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: over.
• 15:09
Speaker 1: No, you want to see it.
• 15:11
  Speaker 2: It's a COE.
• 15:12
Speaker 2: I still have no idea.
• 15:14
  Speaker 2: No, it's not a COE.

• 19:53
Speaker 3: I believe they've announced tickets available.
• 19:57
Speaker 2: I didn't think they had because they haven't announced the route yet.
• 19:59
Speaker 2: People are asking about that for hotels and stuff.
• 20:02
Speaker 3: Maybe I misunderstood, because they announced the dates, I believe, but I thought they were announcing the tickets available?
• 20:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're still trying to finalize the route, but it is going to start in Victoria.
• 20:10
Speaker 2: My guess is they've already got it.
• 20:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, they've already got the route all down.
• 20:13
  Speaker 2: They're confirming.
• 20:15
Speaker 1: They're waiting for the first of the year to announce it.
• 20:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, fine-tuning it, because it'll go quick.
• 20:19
Speaker 3: They'll probably get it right through here, right down this driveway.
• 20:22
Speaker 2: Well, that's what we thought.
• 20:23
Speaker 2: You know that little covered street over there by the canal with parking lot behind us.
• 20:26
Speaker 2: Don can serve tea in the afternoon.
• 20:34
  Speaker 1: A little lemonade.
• 20:35
  Speaker 3: Stand out there.
• 20:36
Speaker 3: Hot dogs, hot dogs, good ones Footlongs.
• 20:40
  Speaker 1: Always With chili.
• 20:41
Speaker 1: Time now for the Motor Minute.
• 20:44
Speaker 1: Jeff always has that, the.
• 20:45
Speaker 3: Motor Minute is just something that people out there driving Christmas slow down.
• 20:51
Speaker 3: If you're in an area by a shopping mall, you don't need to do 500 miles an hour to get to a parking spot.
• 20:56
Speaker 3: Be patient, do all that.
• 20:57
Speaker 3: Second thing on the motor minute is uh fast, jack beckman, it will be in the john forrest ride for next year.
• 21:04
Speaker 3: They've announced that this past week, so that's a cool thing.
• 21:07
Speaker 3: Uh, god bless john, and you'd hate to see that retiring out of this in that fashion?
• 21:12
Speaker 1: He hasn't said that.
• 21:13
Speaker 3: He hasn't said it, but I think maybe there's under consideration.
• 21:16
Speaker 3: So for 2025, jack Beckman will be in the car.
• 21:19
Speaker 3: So two things Congratulate the force team and slow down.
• 21:22
  Speaker 3: It's holidays.
• 21:23
Speaker 3: You don't want to be in an accident, you know.
• 21:25
Speaker 1: And to that end, let me just say this it's say this it's so funny because when the weekend, or get closer to the weekend, traffic usually gets lighter, especially on friday.
• 21:36
Speaker 1: Right, and it seems like that is the green light.
• 21:37
Speaker 1: To speed and go as fast as you friggin can, yeah, and I don't get it, and that's when so many really bad accidents happen.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: You know the old stupid thing about speed kills, it's true, and you know.
• 21:48
Speaker 3: And this nonsense about fighting over parking spot, you know that's just what.
• 21:52
  Speaker 3: What is that?
• 21:53
Speaker 1: get some exercise, park a little further away, maybe walk off that I do that all the time, or I do that all the time.
• 21:59
Speaker 1: I'm gonna fight for the park.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Hey, there's no parking over here, fine, I'll park down by the walgreens and if you got a nice car, you don't want to be next to the door from some knucklehead or some hoopty beater.
• 22:08
Speaker 1: You know where I changed my attitude about that when I was doing the drag racing thing.
• 22:12
Speaker 1: Yep, Because you know, most of the drag racing teams had one or two scooters, the guys that needed to go from here all the way over there In a hurry or you know to get there at a certain time, whatever.
• 22:23
Speaker 1: And the owner said no, we're not going to do that.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: You need the exercise.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: Get out there and walk.
• 22:29
Speaker 1: I walked every track.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many miles.
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Every weekend I walked.
• 22:36
Speaker 3: And I still walk today.
• 22:37
Speaker 3: You're going to be walking.
• 22:37
Speaker 3: If you're going to the mall or some outdoor activity, You're going to walk there anyway.
• 22:40
Speaker 3: Why does everybody want to park so close?
• 22:42
Speaker 3: Why does everybody want to speed?
• 22:43
Speaker 3: Because I'm on the road every week.
• 22:44
Speaker 3: You know that I do so.
• 22:45
  Speaker 3: It's nonsense.
• 22:52
  Speaker 1: Calm down people.
• 22:53
Speaker 1: Mike's going to come get you New car review.
• 22:54
Speaker 1: I had a chance to drive the Mazda CX-5 for 2025.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: This car was built in Hiroshima, japan.
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: Available trim levels 2.5S, 2.5s Select, 2.5s Preferred, 2.5s Select, 2.5s Preferred, 2.5s.
• 23:13
Speaker 1: Carbon Edition 2.5 Premium Plus 2.5 Carbon Turbo.
• 23:21
Speaker 1: 2.5 Turbo Premium, 2.5 Turbo Signature that's right.
• 23:31
Speaker 3: Honest to God, really, yeah, really, that's amazing.
• 23:33
Speaker 3: Do we need to have the 2.5?
• 23:35
Speaker 1: I don't know how about select preferred carbon fiber?
• 23:38
Speaker 1: Well, why would you have to?
• 23:41
Speaker 2: They need some chrome across the back to put the name back there.
• 23:45
Speaker 1: Well, I drove, the 2.5 turbo signature Are you sure?
• 23:48
Speaker 1: No, I'm not, but that's what the monroney said.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: This is a five passenger small suv.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: This was all new in 2017.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: You're saying well, wait a minute, this is an old, long of the two thing.
• 24:02
Speaker 1: Well, yes, it is, but it's their most popular vehicle still now.
• 24:09
Speaker 1: It's going to be phased out soon, but it is still for sale and its replacement is the CX-50.
• 24:18
  Speaker 1: Duh.
• 24:19
Speaker 2: Well, I'm telling you what we've got on the screen right there.
• 24:22
Speaker 2: That's a nice car that any family could use to drive around town.
• 24:26
Speaker 2: I mean, it just looks good.
• 24:28
Speaker 1: Although it may be an older design, it's still one of the best looking in its class, I think Familiar shark nose grille with a very nice squinty.
• 24:42
Speaker 1: Headlight design, up front Slots yeah yeah.
• 24:45
Speaker 1: Big wheel openings with wheels and tires that fill the void.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Rounded rear hatch with nice lighting.
• 24:52
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 24:53
Speaker 1: The overall looks get high design marks, in my opinion.
• 24:56
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 24:58
Speaker 1: Well, they haven't changed it since 2017, so why mess with a good thing?
• 25:02
Speaker 1: It's kind of like for years and years and years, you know, jeep had the wonderful Jeep Grand Cherokee.
• 25:09
Speaker 1: They made no changes to it.
• 25:10
Speaker 1: They sold every one that they made.
• 25:12
Speaker 1: Obviously, if you start changing jacking with stuff, that's when you really roll the dice, so don't Just keep it going.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: Interior highlights sharp-looking design inside too, with high-quality surfaces.
• 25:26
Speaker 1: Infotainment screen sits atop the dash.
• 25:29
Speaker 1: Not a big fan, but remember this is 2017 design.
• 25:32
Speaker 1: Second row seat is a little tight as far as legroom is concerned.
• 25:36
Speaker 1: Cargo trunk room adequate.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: It fits its size.
• 25:40
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 25:41
Speaker 1: The quality and the lasting design of the interior as well.
• 25:45
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 25:46
Speaker 1: The infotainment system needs an easier to use operating system.
• 25:51
Speaker 1: I've gone over that a jillion times and I'm going to beat a dead horse.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Infotainment system needs an easier-to-use operating system.
• 25:55
Speaker 1: I've gone over that a jillion times and I'm going to beat a dead horse.
• 25:56
Speaker 1: 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that turns out a perfectly matched 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
• 26:06
Speaker 1: It has a six-speed automatic transmission.
• 26:09
Speaker 1: It gives you an idea once again of the older school, because everybody's either going with a CVT or a 10-speed.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: This works just fine.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: It tows up to one ton.
• 26:18
Speaker 1: It gets 22 in the city, 27 on the highway, For a combined of 24, I got 24.2 miles per gallon over 454.8 miles.
• 26:28
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 26:29
  Speaker 1: The peppy motor.
• 26:30
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 26:31
Speaker 1: Don't mess with it, leave it alone, make the money.
• 26:35
Speaker 1: It's good, ride and handling.
• 26:37
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 26:39
Speaker 1: I liked its sports car handling.
• 26:41
Speaker 1: Now, if you're not into that kind of a ride, that kind of a quickness in the steering, then this might not be for you.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: But if you appreciate that you like to throw it around the corner once in a while, this is your small SUV.
• 26:55
Speaker 1: Now it does have, like I said, sports car handling.
• 27:00
Speaker 1: What could use improvement in that?
• 27:02
  Speaker 1: Nothing.
• 27:03
Speaker 1: If you don't like it, then you're going to have to go to a different make, model or design altogether, but they play off of the mazda miata cx5 is what is no, I think it's no mx5.
• 27:19
Speaker 1: Sorry, that's the mazda miata.
• 27:21
Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about the price base.
• 27:23
Speaker 1: Trim price forty thousand seven hundred sixty dollars, that's the base as tested 42, $42,750.
• 27:31
Speaker 1: Still not bad Now to get into one if you just want to buy one bottom baseline price $28,570.
• 27:39
Speaker 1: Oh, there you go, see, and you need to build up the layers.
• 27:44
Speaker 3: And obviously this is the top of the line You're finding.
• 27:46
Speaker 3: A lot of the manufacturers are in that price range.
• 27:48
Speaker 1: I guess the sweet spot, One of the competitors to this vehicle is the all-new Mazda CX-50, because it starts at $3,300.
• 27:56
  Speaker 1: Well, that's almost a $2,000 difference, almost $1,800 difference, wow.
• 28:01
Speaker 1: So take a look at the Mazda CX-50.
• 28:04
Speaker 1: Maybe you'll like that a little bit better for a little bit more change.
• 28:10
Speaker 1: Another competitor the Honda CR-V $30,100.
• 28:13
Speaker 1: Or the Kia Sportage $27,190.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: They're all in there and that is huh.
• 28:19
Speaker 1: They're all in that range.
• 28:20
