  Speaker 1: Welcome back.
• 0:14
Speaker 1: It's just another football Tuesday and we're going to react to these conference championships.
• 0:35
Speaker 2: we have ourselves a super bowl 59 matchup, and it is the chiefs and the eagles, just like jimmy told you it would be.
• 0:42
Speaker 1: And before we get started there, let's just go right there, Jimmy.
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: Playoff Jimmy.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, I mean, we went.
• 0:50
Speaker 1: We ended up going with the.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: I asked you what would you bet that day?
• 0:53
Speaker 1: And you said you were 19-15 Chiefs.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: So you win that one.
• 0:59
Speaker 1: You win the NFC Championship.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: That brings your playoff record to 10-1-1.
• 1:03
Speaker 1: That's pretty good credible against the spread.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: That's insane, insane eater.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: That's why we couldn't do the show yesterday.
• 1:12
Speaker 3: He was too busy I was too busy celebrating.
• 1:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, all the hookers and blow man all day yesterday.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, um, I was kind of just taking in the reactions to the.
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Let's start with the Bills, the Chiefs.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Is that still the most relevant game?
• 1:32
Speaker 1: The other one was kind of a blowout, but that game came right down to the end.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: If you would think I watched it, I didn't.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that it was decided by the refs at all, but if you go online, it's like it's can, it's like jfk assassination conspiracy theories I mean it is ridiculous.
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: I don't, I don't know.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: I I think, um, there's a couple of calls that are in question here.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: We had the Xavier worthy catch or no catch or incomplete, which people forget that on that play they did throw a flag and they had a defensive holding.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: Right, would have it first down.
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 2:22
Speaker 1: So it would have been an automatic first down.
• 2:24
Speaker 1: So if it's an incomplete or an interception, it doesn't count.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: So you're getting mad about field position there.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: Maybe a 10-yard gain if you know the difference there.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: So that's not as big as it.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: I think that's getting lost in the in the all the conversation.
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: What do you?
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: And then?
• 2:46
Speaker 1: And then you have the one that I think was the one that probably is the most to get upset about.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: The spot of the ball bills are driving up 22, 21.
• 2:56
Speaker 1: Um, they have a third down.
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: Play they.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: It looks like it's pretty close.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: The spot is you have two line judges running in.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: One looks like he's calling him short, the other one looks like he's calling him.
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: They made it.
• 3:11
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: So they went with the guy that was calling him short.
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: They reviewed it.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: They deemed there was no conclusive evidence.
• 3:25
Speaker 3: I'm not surprised by that.
• 3:26
Speaker 3: So there you go.
• 3:26
Speaker 1: All right, I laid it out.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: What do you guys think?
• 3:30
Speaker 2: I think the worst call was the fact that the bills kept running the tush, push over and over and over again.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: They weren't having success with it.
• 3:40
Speaker 1: Right, I didn't even see much of a push either.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: I saw just an.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: I just saw a regular quarterback sneak.
• 3:47
Speaker 2: It was just Josh Allen.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: They don't have it down to where the Eagles have it, where I think it should be damn illegal.
• 3:55
Speaker 3: It almost makes it, we'll get to that.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: We'll get to that, but anyway I didn't remember anybody lining up behind Josh Allen and actually pushing him which they should have had, yeah, but again, kansas City also did a really good job scouting that.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: They did, they had it and they had it.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: Where he goes to his left, he goes to his left and they were there Now.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: I think they could have given him the first down.
• 4:23
  Speaker 3: Right, that's a tough one.
• 4:28
Speaker 3: My question about the, the, the people that think that that decided the play, that that call or the you know the worthy catch, were the deciding factors of the game?
• 4:35
  Speaker 3: No, like right.
• 4:37
Speaker 1: No, well, that's what a lot of football games don't come down to one play and you know like there were some plays that we watched it.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: It was like, wow, they that was bill's got a break on that one yeah but the ones where, like the, it comes down to the end of the game.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: That one was the only one I could.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: I could see anybody legitimately getting upset about because you give them the first down there, they probably probably get the lead.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: But I'm telling you, I mean, who's to say Pat Mahomes doesn't come back and tie it?
• 5:08
Speaker 1: All I'm saying is the Chiefs still had to go down and score.
• 5:11
Speaker 3: I mean home field advantage has always been a thing.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: And then Josh Allen made an incredible play off.
• 5:19
Speaker 1: A great blitz by Steve Spagnuolo, he brought the corner at the right time.
• 5:24
Speaker 1: Great blitz by Steve Spagnola, he brought the corner at the right time.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: Josh Allen desperately ran to his right, avoided the pressure enough to throw what was looked like a kind of a lollipop, a floater, to Dalton, and he dropped it.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: It reminded me of Rookie, of the.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: Year at the end.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: Know, it's like, you have to float it.
• 5:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like oh, I got this we're about to win.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Oh no, it's just something you're not used to yeah, yeah and uh, so you could have caught that, and nobody's talking about all this stuff.
• 6:00
Speaker 2: So yeah, I just don't know why you don't, why you're not feeding james cook the ball in that second half right as well as he was running and you got a fourth down run, which would have been you got third and one you got third and one and fourth and one and you don't give cook the ball one freaking time that's just bad play call.
• 6:16
  Speaker 3: It really was.
• 6:17
Speaker 3: This guy was receiving back right in college like he can be put in the passing game, and he didn't even like make him sure, like all right, you're going to hit Josh Allen, though, like where was the put?
• 6:28
Speaker 1: There's no tush push, they called it.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: It was just a quarterback sneak, old fashioned Right, and it got, and it got blown up every time and they kept going back to it.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: So, even if you know, I still think it's a bad call, still think it's a bad call, even if they give them the.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: You know the spot.
• 6:44
Speaker 2: I agree with you on that one well, even I mean, that's where the game was lost, dude it was.
• 6:53
Speaker 2: It was lack of imagination on the offensive coordinator for the bills, dude, where he, his offensive strategy was just like all right, josh allen you're doing something go and andy reed.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: Just it does what he man.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: I think he's just a great play caller.
• 7:05
Speaker 1: He feels it out and with the little bootlegs he had with Pat Mahomes, I mean he had two rushing touchdowns.
• 7:14
Speaker 3: The first down conversion to ice.
• 7:15
  Speaker 3: It was beautiful.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: Every time he needs a play he gets it with his legs.
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: He's just a scrambler.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: He has a gun.
• 7:25
Speaker 1: Everyone's afraid of his arm.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: So he has this freedom kind of just to run without people like running at him like they would say Lamar or other running quarterbacks yeah, I mean I think people run at Lamar as fast as they can because they know like that's the only possible way.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: I have of catching them.
• 7:48
Speaker 3: But yeah, there is some hesitation when you're rushing Mahomes.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: So do you buy?
• 7:54
Speaker 1: Like, do you think there's a conspiracy out there, justin?
• 8:02
Speaker 2: I wish there was, because I think there's a conspiracy about damn near everything in my life, so I would love to be able to just say, oh, the fix is in, but there's too many Dude.
• 8:14
Speaker 2: The Bills lost this game more than the Chiefs won it, in my opinion.
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: I think that's fair.
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: I think that's fair.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: I think that you had plays to win the game and you didn't make them.
• 8:24
Speaker 1: It's easy to point to the calls now.
• 8:27
Speaker 1: I think you got to catch the ball and you got to make better play calls, like you said.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where the game was won and lost.
• 8:38
Speaker 2: Cook was tearing it up in the second half of that game and they did on the fourth down and he made it and it was just an amazing play.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: If they win that, that game that's going to be played over and over again, because he just fourth touchdown where he did the over extension at the goal line.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: He had to do every single inch of that, and that was from like a couple yards.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: So why don't give him a chance with just like an inch to gain?
• 9:03
Speaker 1: He can just jump over the line, you know.
• 9:05
Speaker 2: Well, especially when your quarterback sneak isn't working.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: I mean, josh Allen is 6'6", that's a massive target to hit Right.
• 9:12
Speaker 2: You know, like when Hurts runs the tush, push.
• 9:15
Speaker 2: You don't see Hurts, he gets down and he doesn't throw.
• 9:19
  Speaker 3: Yeah, it's leverage.
• 9:21
Speaker 2: And Josh Allen's standing up there at 6'6" you know, yeah, it's leverage.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: And Josh Allen standing up there at 6'6" you know, fucking pointing his chest out and it's like hit me, hit me.
• 9:29
  Speaker 2: It's not a good play.
• 9:30
Speaker 2: It's not a good play designed for his skill set.
• 9:32
Speaker 2: Dude, you give the ball to Cook, or you get him on a rollout, or you do a little quick hitter to Shakir.
• 9:37
Speaker 2: There's a million other things that would be a better play call than that quarterback sneak.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: That failed in the first quarter, it failed in the second quarter, it failed throughout the game, because they I mean they must have ran it seven or eight times, right?
• 9:48
Speaker 3: like this time will be the one it works in the most crucial point of the game up till now.
• 9:52
Speaker 3: It's going to work this time, we promise yeah, it's bad play calling that.
• 10:01
Speaker 2: And then josh allen does do some alien crap and Kincaid drops a ball.
• 10:06
Speaker 2: That is right between the numbers and if you look at where he was on the field where he dropped it, they were already damn near in field goal range if he makes that catch.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: Oh, if he catches it, they're scoring a touchdown.
• 10:17
Speaker 3: I'm convinced of it, that's you know.
• 10:20
Speaker 3: Spag saved his best blitz for the end of the game.
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 10:24
Speaker 3: Spag saved his best blitz for the end of the game.
• 10:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, and he put Josh out through the ball to an open spot in the field.
• 10:36
Speaker 1: I think maybe, if there's anything, maybe there's kind of maybe like the Jordan rules kind of thing effect where they might have a they get benefits of the doubt.
• 10:44
Speaker 1: But I don't think it's some memo, you know.
• 10:48
Speaker 3: I'd be much more willing to accept the conspiracy stuff if they didn't have one of the greatest head coaches of all time.
• 10:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, arguably one of the best defensive coordinators of all time.
• 11:00
Speaker 1: And then Pat Mahomes is your quarterback.
• 11:03
Speaker 3: Guys like Chris Jones, like they're really good.
• 11:05
Speaker 3: It's not surprising that they win close games.
• 11:08
Speaker 1: Well, they won now 17 in a row, I guess, one possession games, which is incredible, right, and that is that.
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: Is that wait?
• 11:19
Speaker 1: Is that eye opening to you right there?
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Just the fact that, hey, 17 times one possession games?
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: Yeah, not once.
• 11:29
Speaker 3: I mean, you know, if, if you can, if is there an instance there where, like the, the game was won on a call, then we can talk about those instances, if they do exist, but like a game like last night and no man or two nights ago.
• 11:42
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: Well, um, it's not going to be easy being a bills fan, um, but that's what those fans do I mean going?
• 11:52
Speaker 3: to be easy being a bills fan, um, but that's what those fans do.
• 11:53
Speaker 1: I mean, they're loyal to tables, bro, yeah, and they're used to it.
• 11:55
Speaker 2: They're used to it yeah they're used to circling the wagons.
• 12:00
Speaker 2: They're used to circling the wagons and then getting ambushed.
• 12:06
Speaker 3: I mean, that's what they do well yeah, they got josh allen, they got james cook, so they can still feel good about that, right.
• 12:14
Speaker 2: And then you have you got to think keon coleman's gonna get better as more.
• 12:18
Speaker 2: I mean he was just a rookie, and I mean like even from a hurricane span I mean they threw to him on third down down there yeah just didn't go nowhere.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: Now Then one of the officials made like a gesture after that play, like he was like hey, should I throw the flag?
• 12:35
Speaker 1: That was kind of weird, so I mean.
• 12:42
Speaker 3: I know what play.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know what play you mean.
• 12:45
Speaker 1: I mean, but it wasn't, it wasn't interfering.
• 12:48
Speaker 1: It was just a weird thing for the official to do.
• 12:49
Speaker 3: The throw was out of bounds.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: And it's just more fuel to the fire of all this conspiracy talk.
• 12:59
Speaker 2: If you want to see the conspiracy, you can always find reasons to do it Because, like I said, I do it with everything.
• 13:04
Speaker 2: I'm ready to jump on board with a good conspiracy man.
• 13:09
Speaker 2: You want to talk about the, the federal reserve and shit dude I was gonna say we, we haven't gotten there yet as soon as we get that npr funding, we'll start branching off on different uh oh, man, all right um all
• 13:28
Speaker 1: right well so that that game, another, another close one, um, feels kind of like had a great game.
• 13:35
Speaker 2: That game was fun as hell to watch.
• 13:37
Speaker 1: It was it was very dramatic all the way to the end.
• 13:40
Speaker 1: Um, it feels like just there's a jinx on the bills and right now it's my homes, and it's funny that the draft trade, the team they traded with to get my homes, was the bills and and the bills also traded out.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: Uh, traded down, and then the chiefs drafted xavier worthy, so with that pick.
• 14:04
Speaker 2: It's a little bit of just a little bambino curse right double salt in the wounds there damn, if you're the bills and the chiefs call you on draft day, you hit them with the bitch button immediately, because I mean that is sunny weaver calling to get his picks back at this point.
• 14:25
Speaker 1: All right, the chiefs call the bills well before that one, our matchup now, and it started with what was a defensive pass interference they're holding on Philadelphia and two Super Bowls ago that they got their first one of this now chance to three-peat and I remember that game was tied and they were able to just milk the clock, kick a game when you feel goal.
• 14:54
Speaker 1: It's kind of just a terror for what was a great game.
• 14:57
Speaker 1: It was really a terrible ending.
• 14:59
Speaker 1: We're gonna get a rematch of that because the eagles was too much.
• 15:04
Speaker 1: Saquon barkley took it to the house.
• 15:06
Speaker 1: The first play, the real mvp the uh eagles had the ball.
• 15:10
Speaker 1: He's gone and that the the commanders takes like 20 plays to get a field goal and then they hand the ball to saquon and he runs it to the house ball game.
• 15:23
Speaker 2: I mean that's right right at the start, it was over yeah, it was over, but I mean it.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: Philly just has a better roster they do, and washington made mistakes.
• 15:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, jayden daniels did not but jayden daniels is the real deal, but they're just gonna have to build it around him a little more.
• 15:42
Speaker 2: Um they gotta bring in that coach that coached up tiki barber back in the day about how not to fumble the goddamn football.
• 15:48
Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness, yeah, three fumbles, one on special teams, that that was terrible that was a killer that was just.
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: I mean I, I go to the bathroom and they're down 14 to 3.
• 15:58
Speaker 1: So, um, that was just.
• 16:02
Speaker 1: They couldn't do that they.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: They had you have to.
• 16:04
Speaker 1: You have to get ahead on philly and you can't let them just milk it like that.
• 16:10
Speaker 1: You have to keep it close and then do what the Chiefs do.
• 16:17
Speaker 2: What the Chiefs always do, yeah so I mean, what's?
• 16:20
Speaker 1: any other thoughts on the NFC Championship?
• 16:23
Speaker 3: Well, how about the little incident down at the goal line where Washington kept going off sides?
• 16:31
Speaker 1: oh, yeah, yeah I've never heard that one.
• 16:33
Speaker 3: We're gonna reward them points right, well, you, I guess you can't intentionally eventually you gotta move on with the game and it's only because it's a damn tush push yeah, and I remember such an unstoppable play you have.
• 16:47
Speaker 1: You're almost like hope.
• 16:49
Speaker 3: Your only shot is to like do some crazy shit like right jump over what I want to see is a defensive coordinator, say all right, man, I'm gonna have my, whatever, my five, six man front, and then I'm taking every 300 pounder on the sideline and I'm putting them behind my, my defensive line and they're gonna, yeah, they need to do the same thing yeah, yeah.
• 17:10
Speaker 1: They have to do what they're doing with their linebackers Because you're giving up.
• 17:12
  Speaker 1: It's a leverage game.
• 17:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's where it's rugby.
• 17:16
Speaker 3: Defensive backs on the field at that.
• 17:17
  Speaker 3: It's not football.
• 17:18
Speaker 3: The guy that kept jumping the snap.
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: It's not football.
• 17:21
  Speaker 1: 220 pounds Like that's a different sport.
• 17:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, usc fans like that.
• 17:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's fine, we have that, we have that much push but it's just like, wait a second, what are we doing here?
• 17:41
Speaker 1: We're just going to oh, we're going to play all this other stuff, and then we're going to get down, pushy, pushy, like, like dude, like let's just push him in, get a score.
• 17:51
Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I want to see it.
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: It's a physical game, that's true.
• 17:56
  Speaker 2: Out physical.
• 17:57
Speaker 2: The other team man, I get it.
• 17:58
Speaker 2: I want to see.
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: I don't like it either.
• 17:59
Speaker 1: No, it's not that bad, and I want to see a response to it, though I want to see what.
• 18:04
Speaker 3: Jimmy was talking about defensive coordinators.
• 18:06
Speaker 1: start actually thinking besides hey, just jump the snap, count and try to line up right where they are on the ball and just start.
• 18:14
Speaker 1: You got to do something.
• 18:15
  Speaker 3: It's the NFL.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: We're all NFL teams here.
• 18:17
Speaker 1: We got big strong guys, but what they do have is a guy that squats like a defensive lineman at quarterback.
• 18:24
Speaker 1: That's the one thing Jalen hurts.
• 18:26
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: Very powerful and they line it up where he gets low and they have it where they know what they're doing, unlike the Bills.
• 18:34
Speaker 3: And then you get lower.
• 18:35
Speaker 3: Yeah you got to get lower, you got to get bigger, and that's what he's doing Get lower, bigger and stronger and stop them.
• 18:41
Speaker 2: That's why not every team can do the tush push like they do.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: That is so true, and I don't like it.
• 18:51
Speaker 2: I mean we're not doing it, we're not doing the tush push with two of us.
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: I don't like it, that's true, I don't like it, but you're right about that.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: No other team can do it like them, so that is an advantage that they have and they deserve, I guess, to take advantage of that.
• 19:02
Speaker 1: It's no rule that you can't do it, so you got naughty, you got naughty.
• 19:20
Speaker 2: You got chris jones.
• 19:21
Speaker 1: You got a couple stud d linemen man that you know, earn your freaking money I think that's true, but I think, at certain point, leverage game, though, if they're going to come with another line and push have more weight.
• 19:36
  Speaker 3: That's my thought.
• 19:37
Speaker 1: The physics of it.
• 19:37
Speaker 1: So you need to have somebody behind the defense to almost watch the running back Force behind the leverage, kind of like they're the ball carrier and attack the hole just like they would if they had the ball.
• 19:48
Speaker 1: But you know which means you have to look at it like a different sport.
• 19:53
  Speaker 1: But I mean, I guess it's football.
• 19:55
Speaker 1: It'll be fun to see a response.
• 19:57
Speaker 1: I mean a lot of people are upset they didn't get the matchup they wanted, but I mean you got two of the best teams here you got the two best teams in the NFL.
• 20:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be a great game.
• 20:07
Speaker 1: It's going to be a great game.
• 20:08
Speaker 1: It's going to be a down to the wire.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: I'll tell you that right now it's a pick them pretty much.
• 20:11
Speaker 1: We'll get to the picks later.
• 20:14
Speaker 2: The Eagles roster is built to beat the Chiefs.
• 20:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they got the running game, they got the dominant defensive line, they got explosive wide receivers.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: I mean they're built to beat the Chiefs, right, but the Chiefs are built to beat teams that are Beat everybody.
• 20:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, just win every game close.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: Only people they can't.
• 20:35
Speaker 2: The only person the Chiefs can't beat was Tom freaking Brady.
• 20:40
Speaker 3: Thomas Brady yeah, I mean it's, that's how you end this dynasty.
• 20:47
  Speaker 3: Joe Burrow won.
• 20:48
  Speaker 3: He beat him.
• 20:49
Speaker 1: He got him, he did get yeah he got him.
• 20:52
Speaker 3: He did get him once, bengals got him in the AFC championship.
• 20:55
Speaker 1: So I mean it's not impossible here they went into Kansas City and beat him, yeah, so but nobody's going to remember that that was before Taylor Swift was dating Kelsey, though.
• 21:08
Speaker 2: That was before the conspiracy started, man.
• 21:11
Speaker 1: Joe Biden, all right.
• 21:15
Speaker 1: Well, hey, guess what man?
• 21:16
Speaker 1: Where's the North Florida Sports Network?
• 21:18
Speaker 1: I guess it's January and we have some ACC schedule releases.
• 21:24
  Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
• 21:25
Speaker 1: Oh man, pull them up.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: All right, I know Justin doesn't know about it, so we'll give him Miami's live and get his reaction to it.
• 21:35
Speaker 2: All I know is we got Florida and Notre Dame in the first couple games.
• 21:42
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 21:42
Speaker 1: Well, let's go to my.
• 21:45
Speaker 1: You want to go ahead and do my, yeah?
• 21:47
Speaker 3: let's do Miami first.
• 21:48
Speaker 3: I want to do the reveal, mm.
• 21:54
Speaker 1: All right, uh, let's see that, like you said, they're starting with Notre Dame.
• 21:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, man Is that.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: That's in Miami, though, right.
• 22:03
  Speaker 2: I believe.
• 22:03
Speaker 2: So I think both Florida and Miami uh and the Notre Dame game are both.
• 22:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, they got some good home games.
• 22:10
Speaker 1: That's going to be a good game.
• 22:12
Speaker 1: Then you got Bethune-Cookman, and then you got USF oh God.
• 22:22
Speaker 2: I hate having them on the schedule.
• 22:24
Speaker 2: Man, that's such a scrappy, annoying team.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: That's the week before you play the gators, which is in hard rock, so you play notre dame and florida at home, and then you get a buy and you go to tallahassee to play the knolls.
• 22:38
Speaker 2: Oh, okay, that's like our three biggest rivals in the first like five weeks of the season.
• 22:45
Speaker 1: Dude, that's nuts yeah, that's true, but I mean I think it's you got time for each one.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: You open up a notre dame and you play bethune, then you get usf florida and a buy and then florida state and then you go another buy after that, so you'll have a chance to kind of reset um you kind of need to, after that kind of a gauntlet, to start, man.
• 23:09
  Speaker 1: I mean that's freaking brutal.
• 23:10
Speaker 1: Then it's home to louisville.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: Uh, it's gonna be a tough one.
• 23:14
Speaker 2: I mean, louisville is always a scrappy team yep, and then um home at.
• 23:19
Speaker 1: And then they're home again.
• 23:20
Speaker 2: They're hosting louisville, and then they're hosting stanford man, do we go on the road at all this year?
• 23:26
  Speaker 2: You're about to.
• 23:27
Speaker 1: I'm about to hit it at the end and you hit the.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: Then you hit the gauntlet, you go at smu oh oh, oh, no yeah my boy right, lashley, yeah.
• 23:37
Speaker 1: And then, uh, then you're back at home, um, but syracuse is coming down there, so chance for a revenge game.
• 23:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, gotta get revenge on that.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: And then you host nc state at hard rock, and then you're on the road to virginia tech and you're on the road to pit to end the season oh god man.
• 24:02
Speaker 2: blacksburg and pittsburgh, the final two games in the snow, potentially God that's a rough way to end it.
• 24:08
Speaker 1: What are your initial thoughts about this schedule?
• 24:12
Speaker 2: That's about as tough as an ACC schedule can be, yeah as compared to last year, this year's uh-oh Kind of wish you had a game award this year.
• 24:23
Speaker 2: SMU ain't going nowhere.
• 24:24
Speaker 2: I think SMU is just going to build more and more.
• 24:26
Speaker 2: I think they're just going to get better and better as long as Lashley is there.
• 24:31
Speaker 2: So you got SMU is going to be a dog fight.
• 24:32
Speaker 2: Notre Dame obviously going to be a dog fight.
• 24:35
Speaker 2: Florida is going to be much better than they were last year with Lagway Dude.
• 24:39
Speaker 2: That's going to be another dog fight.
• 24:41
Speaker 2: There's no chance FSU goes two and 10 this year.
• 24:43
Speaker 2: There's no chance they're going to be that bad, yeah.
• 24:53
Speaker 2: And then you got pit pit, virginia tech, who are both going to be, you know, solid eight, nine win teams.
• 24:56
Speaker 2: You got nc state, who should bounce back from a rough season, and louisville all on the schedule.
• 25:00
Speaker 2: You really cannot get a harder acc lineup than that.
• 25:03
Speaker 2: All it's missing is clemson.
• 25:04
  Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
• 25:05
Speaker 1: I was going to say Tough, tougher than it was last year.
• 25:10
Speaker 1: You got Carson back no.
• 25:11
  Speaker 1: Georgia Tech.
• 25:14
  Speaker 2: I'll take that.
• 25:15
Speaker 2: I'll take that too.
• 25:16
Speaker 1: Let's look at Florida State's schedule.
• 25:19
Speaker 1: You got that one Me.
• 25:24
  Speaker 1: No, I don't get it.
• 25:25
Speaker 1: Oh, I got it Okay.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: Pull that up, jamie.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: I mean jimmy, that's for all my rogan bros out there, I know we know the opener right and it's alabama.
• 25:37
Speaker 1: At doke, the newly renovated stadium will be on display um as the crim.
• 25:47
Speaker 2: We'll get to see plenty of the seats that they added by the third quarter, yep.
• 25:54
Speaker 1: Because they'll be empty.
• 25:55
Speaker 1: We'll see Alabama coming off 9-4 season.
• 26:01
Speaker 1: They're going to be having a new quarterback.
• 26:03
Speaker 1: Florida State will have a new quarterback.
• 26:05
  Speaker 1: We'll see.
• 26:07
Speaker 2: Do we know who's going to be the Florida State quarterback?
• 26:09
  Speaker 1: Thomas.
• 26:09
Speaker 3: Castell we know who's going to be the florida state quarterback yeah, it'll be little tommy it's going to be castellano.
• 26:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, it's definitely gonna he.
• 26:15
Speaker 1: He's coming here to play.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: Um, I actually like that in terms of what he fits the malzahn system right, you need someone they can run around when you can't block yep um, so then, after alabama, which I mean if you're gonna get, I mean if you're going to get them, I think this is the time to get them right.
• 26:33
Speaker 1: I mean, well, they'll most likely be, Alabama will be favored.
• 26:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think Florida State has a shot to win this game.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: We'll see they're going to be starting.
• 26:42
  Speaker 2: I don't know I'll give Kalen DeBoer.
• 26:43
Speaker 2: I don't trust Kalen DeBoer as a coach.
• 26:46
Speaker 2: I mean we hear about how great he is.
• 26:48
  Speaker 1: I don't think that FSU's talent was 2-10.
• 26:54
Speaker 1: No, but we also lost.
• 26:57
Speaker 1: We lost a lot, some of the talent, but I mean, you just replaced it, you got a new coordinator, you got it on both sides of the ball.
• 27:06
Speaker 1: This will be the tale.
• 27:08
Speaker 1: We'll be able to see how fast you can rebuild it in this new era, which I always said.
• 27:13
Speaker 1: Before the season started, I said this is going to happen.
• 27:16
Speaker 1: You're going to have these ups and downs by these, by most teams, and like maybe a few, like ohio state and maybe texas can survive it.
• 27:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, but oregon, yeah in oregon.
• 27:30
  Speaker 2: but yeah, because I don't.
• 27:31
Speaker 2: I I don't know how good alabama is going to be moving forward.
• 27:34
Speaker 2: Man, I didn't see a lot from bama last year.
• 27:37
  Speaker 2: That was impressive.
• 27:39
Speaker 2: There was a lot of, especially from an offensive minded coach supposed to be this offensive genius.
• 27:44
Speaker 2: There was a whole lot of run around and make a play, jalen.
• 27:47
Speaker 1: Miller Right, we lost him.
• 27:53
Speaker 3: Well, I think that kind of fits that he just stuck with Jalen as a favorite of that kid.
• 27:55
Speaker 3: We'll see we're going to really see his offense.
• 27:57
  Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know.
• 27:57
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 27:58
Speaker 3: They're more than likely going to be starting a freshman quarterback, either the red shirt or the true freshman, so it'll be the first college football game for the quarterback.
• 28:09
  Speaker 3: So who knows?
• 28:09
Speaker 3: But I know they got Ryan Williams and until I see FSU play this year, I'm just going to assume that we don't have anybody that can stop that kid, so I'm going to just go to it.
• 28:19
Speaker 2: I don't know that anybody in the country has anybody that can stop Ryan Williams, yeah.
• 28:23
Speaker 3: So when they have a player like that, I mean you know it's going to be tough, right.
• 28:28
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 28:29
Speaker 1: Well, after that, you um, you have some.
• 28:31
Speaker 1: You got a few weeks to lick your wounds Good, which is what you want when you're trying to coming off a bad season.
• 28:38
Speaker 1: You want to have some easy games.
• 28:39
Speaker 1: You've got East Texas, a&m, yeah, and then you got state, which I think had the only brand the only team that was worse on offense.
• 28:50
Speaker 1: Last year was Kent state.
• 28:53
Speaker 2: Oh, that should be an exciting match.
• 28:55
Speaker 2: Yes, yes, going on the CW, yeah.
• 28:58
Speaker 1: Um, straight to the CW.
• 29:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, and then after that and that's going to Bali, that one's going to Bali, oh yeah, all.
• 29:06
Speaker 2: Right to valley sports.
• 29:06
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right, then you go on the road um your acc opener in charlottesville against virginia always been such a nice place for us to play sneaky.
• 29:20
Speaker 1: I think virginia is better than they have been.
• 29:23
Speaker 2: You saw, they're always kind of scrappy, they came, came on at the end.
• 29:26
Speaker 2: Scrappy, annoying team Tony.
• 29:27
  Speaker 1: Elliott.
• 29:28
Speaker 1: I think he had to put up something, otherwise he was going to get run out of there.
• 29:33
Speaker 3: And they're touting this as their big year coming into the season.
• 29:37
Speaker 3: They've done some work in the transfer portal, a little bit of consistency at quarterback, so this will be a game they're expecting to win On a Friday night?
• 29:47
  Speaker 1: Yeah, All right.
• 29:49
Speaker 1: So then you come home.
• 29:51
Speaker 1: We're going to do wins and losses later.
• 29:53
Speaker 1: It's only January, people Come on.
• 29:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to say I can't do wins and losses.
• 30:00
Speaker 1: No, we're not doing that.
• 30:01
Speaker 1: Then after that, you're coming home to play Miami.
• 30:06
Speaker 3: And you know what that entails.
• 30:07
Speaker 3: It's almost like the rugbyami right.
• 30:16
  Speaker 3: We always I can't.
• 30:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's january game, we'll see what I mean both teams are going to look so much different than they did last year.
• 30:21
Speaker 2: So every year I just hope that every year tickets are reasonably priced, because two years ago, when that game was here, it was like $250.
• 30:31
Speaker 1: Well, everything's going to cost more.
• 30:33
  Speaker 1: There's less seats.
• 30:36
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 30:37
Speaker 1: That's what they did they moved out the seats to make them bigger.
• 30:40
Speaker 3: Less seats, more money, fewer options.
• 30:42
  Speaker 3: Let's go.
• 30:43
  Speaker 1: More executive suites?
• 30:45
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 30:46
Speaker 1: So anyway, All right.
• 30:46
Speaker 1: So anyway, All right.
• 30:50
Speaker 1: And then after Miami you're back at home again against Pitt.
• 30:56
Speaker 3: That's a sneaky tough game right there.
• 30:58
  Speaker 3: You liked it.
• 30:59
Speaker 3: They're both at home.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, but coming off an emotional game.
• 31:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely yeah that's got let down, Let down game written all over it.
• 31:06
Speaker 2: Pitt has definitely kicked our ass at home before.
• 31:08
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh no, that's got let down, let down game written all over it.
• 31:09
Speaker 3: Pitt has definitely kicked our ass at home before.
• 31:10
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh no, that was Norvell's ass actually yeah, all right, so let's go.
• 31:15
Speaker 1: After that, we're going out to Stanford.
• 31:18
Speaker 1: All right as Florida State takes it to the.
• 31:22
  Speaker 3: Trip to Cali.
• 31:23
Speaker 1: The western side of the Atlantic coast.
• 31:25
  Speaker 1: That's right, baby.
• 31:26
Speaker 1: Far west of the.
• 31:26
  Speaker 3: Atlantic coast.
• 31:26
  Speaker 1: That's right, baby.
• 31:27
Speaker 1: Far west of the Atlantic, pacific, atlantic, the Pacific end of the Atlantic range.
• 31:33
Speaker 3: Are we calling that the Pacific rim of the Atlantic coast?
• 31:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, there we go.
• 31:38
Speaker 2: Hey man, the Atlantic Ocean, I'm sure somewhere up near the North Pole, connects with the Pacific Ocean.
• 31:42
Speaker 2: Dude, it's on the same waterway, bro.
• 31:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, man, there we go, so we're going out there.
• 31:46
Speaker 1: You saw a water Play Stanford, and then you get a bye, get a chance, because then that's when it gets tough.
• 31:54
Speaker 1: And you got Wake Forest, which is not the tough one.
• 31:58
  Speaker 3: I mean, you don't know?
• 31:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's always For Florida State, they're not not tough.
• 32:02
Speaker 1: But then you got Clemson at Clemson, oh Jesus, and you got to come back play Virginia Tech at Doak, and that's your last home game At least you don't have to go to Blacksburg for that one.
• 32:15
  Speaker 2: Blacksburg's a nightmare.
• 32:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, well then you're going the following week to what is a nightmare for FSU a lot of times is Carter Finley In Raleigh.
• 32:24
Speaker 3: Raleigh Going to Raleigh on another Friday night game.
• 32:30
  Speaker 1: Friday night game.
• 32:31
Speaker 1: Friday night in Raleigh it is too early to go wins and losses, but that's a loss.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: So then you're ending the season in Hogtown at Florida November 29th so they save November for the old diesel it's going to be a rough finish Clemsonmson, virginia tech nc.
• 32:52
Speaker 3: State florida, last four yeah, so you better have that you better have that fifth or sixth win by then yeah, you gotta rack up some wins against the stanfords of the world and then I hope you slip.
• 33:04
Speaker 2: You gotta get in a bowl, like right you gotta've got to get back to it.
• 33:07
Speaker 1: Six-win dream, yeah, and I don't think it's anything more than that, and I think that would be a success after what was a terrible, record-setting year.
• 33:16
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, If you go from 2-10 to like the Doritos Bowl or whatever at 6-6, man, that's a hell of an improvement, Right an improvement.
• 33:25
Speaker 1: Right, I mean with a journeyman quarterback but miami's in a tough years where it's like you, you're in that where similar, where you almost you didn't get in and you feel like, all right, we got to keep going for it, right.
• 33:39
Speaker 1: So you went out and got carson back four million dollars, which is crazy.
• 33:44
Speaker 1: You know there's like nfl players not making that money on multiple years bo callahan for the titans isn't making that yeah, so, um, they're going for it again.
• 34:00
  Speaker 1: Um, we'll see.
• 34:00
Speaker 1: I know crystal ball can recruit.
• 34:02
Speaker 1: Let's see if he can get over the hump, but with that schedule it's going to be tough but, you got it.
• 34:10
Speaker 2: We really got to be see who, uh who, we bring in at the, uh, at the skilled positions, like a wide receiver, because we lost so many awesome wide receivers, um, but the offensive line, most of the old lines coming back, uh, we got fletcher, the big badass running back, coming back, and then the freshman kid lyle.
• 34:30
Speaker 2: Like our offense, like our line is good, good to have that coming back.
• 34:34
Speaker 1: That's everything's gonna be new for florida state.
• 34:37
Speaker 1: You have a whole new offensive line.
• 34:41
Speaker 2: I mean you went out and got a new system, a brand new offensive system too.
• 34:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's brand new receivers.
• 34:47
Speaker 1: It's just all the receivers are new.
• 34:49
Speaker 1: Is there anyone on the team?
• 34:53
Speaker 1: You got a couple running backs that were there right, it was the kid uh cam davis.
• 34:59
Speaker 2: Is that the guy?
• 35:00
  Speaker 2: The?
• 35:00
Speaker 2: Big freak looking guy yeah and then.
• 35:02
Speaker 1: But everybody else is brand new, so we'll see you got a brand new defense coordinator coming like bringing in a new system, yep, so you got more returning defensively than you do offensively, but, like you said, new system on both sides.
• 35:20
Speaker 1: It's exciting, though I mean I'm looking forward to some optimism and some lowered expectations.
• 35:30
Speaker 1: It felt like a lot of like last season was just doom and waiting.
• 35:36
Speaker 3: Last season was just still trying to to cope with 2023 and the way it ended.
• 35:41
Speaker 3: Yep, you had to get you, got it out.
• 35:43
Speaker 3: You sure did that.
• 35:44
Speaker 3: Yep, let's just get everybody's mind off of 2023.
• 35:51
Speaker 1: Well, we got to get on out of here.
• 35:53
Speaker 1: All right, here here, but before we go, I don't even want to talk about hoops.
• 35:59
Speaker 1: Knowles went out west, lost both of them.
• 36:03
Speaker 3: End of the season effectively.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: I mean NIT's still up for grabs.
• 36:08
Speaker 3: But you got to, not a host.
• 36:10
Speaker 3: We ain't playing in the tuck, you can't just have a 500 record you got to have A couple games over.
• 36:14
Speaker 1: They're no good man, not a host.
• 36:15
Speaker 1: I mean you can't just have a 500 record, you got to have like a couple games over.
• 36:19
Speaker 3: They're no good man.
• 36:20
Speaker 3: Malik Ewan could probably play for one of.
• 36:24
Speaker 1: Leonard Hamilton's tournament teams.
• 36:26
Speaker 1: I think you're now seeing the difference of the conferences and the money allotment in basketball more.
• 36:31
Speaker 3: Oh, you mean half to 25 being the SEC?
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's like every team's good and it's like well, you don't have to buy that many players.
• 36:39
Speaker 1: The margins are different.
• 36:41
Speaker 1: You got Bruce Pearl and it's just like baseball, like you saw in baseball it's already been like that.
• 36:46
Speaker 1: It's going to be like yeah, bruce Pearl out there.
• 36:48
Speaker 1: Out there just taking over, doing it like he's always been doing it.
• 36:52
Speaker 3: Right and nothing changed.
• 36:53
