- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on? Everybody, Welcome
- 0:16Speaker 1: to Inside the Birds. It's Jeff Moser and Adam Kaplan.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Guess what. The Eagles just played a huge game. They
- 0:21Speaker 1: want it and now they got another big, enormous game
- 0:24Speaker 1: coming up this weekend. Something Jalen Hurts said about this
- 0:27Speaker 1: game against the Eagles and the Lions on Sunday night
- 0:31Speaker 1: really took an intro. I took an interest to Adam
- 0:34Speaker 1: because it was very interesting the way he said it.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We'll get into that in a second. If you're a
- 0:39Speaker 1: vibes person, I'm not, but I do think that sometimes
- 0:44Speaker 1: what said and the narrative around the team can reflect
- 0:48Speaker 1: what's going on. Doesn't always impact the field of play, Adam,
- 0:52Speaker 1: But if you're a vibes person, not a great week
- 0:55Speaker 1: for the Eagles, just on the testy press conference that
- 0:58Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni had about the AJ Brown questions and of
- 1:01Speaker 1: course the fourth down questions, and of course AJ once
- 1:05Speaker 1: again on social media complaining about his lack of production.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So from a vibe standpoint, not a great week from
- 1:11Speaker 1: the Eagles. But that seemingly has not always impacted them before.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But it did two years ago. It's a story in that,
- 1:20Speaker 2: and we're not gonna we don't. We're not a gossip show.
- 1:22Speaker 2: We're an insider show. So we if we think something matters,
- 1:25Speaker 2: we'll talk about it. This kind of nonsense. It matters
- 1:30Speaker 2: when it becomes a problem, that's when it matters. It
- 1:32Speaker 2: became a problem. Two years ago. You had the Sirianni
- 1:34Speaker 2: Hurts issue. You had the Sean desayahshoe player issue. The
- 1:39Speaker 2: players didn't buy an them, they they tune them out.
- 1:41Speaker 2: That's a problem, like that's that's a problem. The dvides
- 1:44Speaker 2: are terrible. You have to you have to talk about
- 1:45Speaker 2: it was bad. A. J. Brown talked about it two
- 1:48Speaker 2: years ago. He was absolutely right. They kept winning. He
- 1:51Speaker 2: wasn't happy. There's a reason it looked good.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And remember, yeah, you brought this up too, but it
- 1:56Speaker 1: really came out and we reported it. But it came
- 1:58Speaker 1: out after that. You know how certain veterans felt about
- 2:02Speaker 1: not only Decide, but then that the whole Decide Patricia thing.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It wasn't a good it was.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Not a good locker room.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I remember remember we ran into one agent and he
- 2:09Speaker 1: said his player would never want to go back to that.
- 2:11Speaker 2: S okay, So Jeff and I were at the senior Ball. Okay,
- 2:16Speaker 2: you just don't know what you're gonna get when you
- 2:18Speaker 2: go to the super Bowl, you know, did Jeff and
- 2:19Speaker 2: I have known these some agents for like twenty years,
- 2:21Speaker 2: so anyway, I mean they were coming up for us,
- 2:23Speaker 2: did you hear this? They like wanted us to and
- 2:26Speaker 2: there were a couple of prominent agents had big time players.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And when it's even worse than we knew, like we
- 2:32Speaker 2: thought we knew, but no, we didn't know enough. But
- 2:36Speaker 2: uh yeah it was bad. But you know Nick, Nick
- 2:38Speaker 2: has grown up since then, you know, he's I know
- 2:40Speaker 2: that Wednesday press commentary is kind of testy. I can
- 2:42Speaker 2: understand why and I and honestly, I think you and
- 2:44Speaker 2: I see the same way. The questions were fine. They
- 2:47Speaker 2: were very fair.
- 2:48Speaker 1: All the questions were fair.
- 2:49Speaker 2: They want to know, like what the hell was what
- 2:51Speaker 2: you going for? It? Not only going for both the
- 2:54Speaker 2: actual play that happened, because then you got the video
- 2:58Speaker 2: and Nick and Nick you know Nick, by the way,
- 3:00Speaker 2: Nick covered for the players two years ago. Let let's
- 3:02Speaker 2: call it like it is after the Seattle game, yep,
- 3:05Speaker 2: if you recall that. So I thought it was fair
- 3:08Speaker 2: and I understand where Nick is Companies want to start
- 3:10Speaker 2: dealing with the stuff.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yep.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But you know, you go back to two years ago
- 3:14Speaker 2: and they were winning and the Yeah, the disaster of
- 3:16Speaker 2: the defense was it got off the hot start, they
- 3:18Speaker 2: became terrible, and then Patricia took over trying to run
- 3:21Speaker 2: someone else's scheme. Was it was an absolute embarrassment. Okay,
- 3:24Speaker 2: never what's going to work, couldn't work. There's another scheme.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And then you got the offense which had its moments
- 3:30Speaker 2: in the first half that had the stereo aggression. Then
- 3:31Speaker 2: it was just awful and Brian Johnson got fired because
- 3:35Speaker 2: of it. So it was a nightmare season. Syrianna had
- 3:38Speaker 2: to grow up and learn from what happened. And what
- 3:40Speaker 2: happened is they won a Super Bowl the next year.
- 3:42Speaker 2: That's what happened. That's right, got his contract and him
- 3:46Speaker 2: and how I have a good thing going, but you
- 3:48Speaker 2: have this issue as you talk about to move this
- 3:50Speaker 2: forward here, I could just tell you the way it works,
- 3:54Speaker 2: folks in the National Football League. Anyone who thinks that
- 3:56Speaker 2: the coaches are fine with ten points is on drugs.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You know, to think like anyone who coaches the National
- 4:02Speaker 2: FOOTBA League wuld be happy with ten ten points are
- 4:04Speaker 2: you out of your mind. It's disgusting with this talent
- 4:07Speaker 2: on this roster.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I think what happens is sometimes fans, right, we'll hear
- 4:12Speaker 1: guys say, hey, a win's a win, that's all accounts,
- 4:15Speaker 1: it matters, but they don't always hear the stuff. That's
- 4:19Speaker 1: like we when we're in the locker room, when we
- 4:21Speaker 1: hear you know, player, And I'm not just talking about
- 4:22Speaker 1: this year, I'm talking about any year. To your point,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you don't practice endless amounts of plays Wednesday through Saturday
- 4:30Speaker 1: and spend all the time in the fill room on
- 4:32Speaker 1: the practice field, working with your position coaches, your offensive coordinator,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you're head coach, and do all this for it to
- 4:37Speaker 1: not really come out the way you want to. And
- 4:39Speaker 1: even Jalen Hurts are alluded today. I said, we're our
- 4:42Speaker 1: work in progress. I get it, it's cliche. He says
- 4:44Speaker 1: it every week, but it's true. But yeah, they're they're
- 4:48Speaker 1: happy with the win. But most people are more most
- 4:52Speaker 1: coaches and athletes you know this more than anybody. They're
- 4:55Speaker 1: process oriented more than results oriented. So if the Eagles
- 4:59Speaker 1: had exec cuted almost way better offensively and defensively, which
- 5:04Speaker 1: is hard to do defensively, but if they had lost
- 5:05Speaker 1: on a freakish turnover because you know, somebody dropped something
- 5:10Speaker 1: or something crazy, some crazy call. But they played really well.
- 5:13Speaker 1: The coaches will tell you it sucks to lose, but
- 5:15Speaker 1: we our process was good.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:18Speaker 1: They're they're happy with the win, but they want the
- 5:21Speaker 1: process and the results to match. They want to seemilar
- 5:25Speaker 1: for the effort they're giving in Yes.
- 5:27Speaker 2: You're set. You said it well. And by the way,
- 5:29Speaker 2: and Nick said, I kind of like when he does this,
- 5:32Speaker 2: even when they've actually had a good offense before him.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So he'll say, hey, we'll beat ourselves up on Monday.
- 5:36Speaker 2: We'll go through the tape. We'll be hard on ourselves.
- 5:39Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. Like I couldn't like he
- 5:42Speaker 2: says we'll beat ourselves up about it. I mean, I'm
- 5:44Speaker 2: thinking he must punch himself like fifty times some Monday
- 5:46Speaker 2: morning or because there's an embarrassment. And I listen, we
- 5:51Speaker 2: feel that, folks. We we have to talk about this.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We do the Inside the Tape show with Greg co
- 5:55Speaker 2: celt twice a week. Okay, you know we're talking to
- 5:58Speaker 2: Greg and Greg and we all if you mean Greg
- 6:02Speaker 2: joked on Monday on Tuesday morning. I guess it's going
- 6:04Speaker 2: to take you Greg five minutes to go through the
- 6:06Speaker 2: tape with his terrible offense.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that he was actually obligated to break down
- 6:11Speaker 1: the tape of the.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Offense, right right. We have a deal with Greg, we
- 6:13Speaker 2: have to do this. But yeah, but but to move
- 6:16Speaker 2: this forward here, m hm. You got Smith who's having
- 6:19Speaker 2: a great season. A J. Brown is still really really good.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I watched his press conference, the get together he had
- 6:28Speaker 2: in his locker. He didn't I guess he did that
- 6:29Speaker 2: twitch show or whatever with a front of his he
- 6:31Speaker 2: didn't want. He didn't walk into the comments back. He
- 6:35Speaker 2: doesn't get the ball. I know our Sam Finkle did
- 6:39Speaker 2: the analytics on his separation. You know, I understand that.
- 6:43Speaker 2: But you always have to remember where's the ball? You
- 6:45Speaker 2: have to you have to understand Hurts does not throw
- 6:49Speaker 2: the way he explained to me by a strong league
- 6:51Speaker 2: source who's great at the Eagles tape because it's his job,
- 6:53Speaker 2: because he works. He has the Eagles for some of
- 6:58Speaker 2: the games that they have for advance Hurts the strongest
- 7:02Speaker 2: his arm is. He doesn't although in the Minnesota gave
- 7:05Speaker 2: me was phenomenal on it. But more often than not,
- 7:06Speaker 2: he doesn't put it out there for the past target
- 7:08Speaker 2: to go with the football. He just doesn't. That's just
- 7:11Speaker 2: now Deeve throws that we're talking about overall passes. If
- 7:14Speaker 2: you graded each pass like people in the NFL do, Okay,
- 7:18Speaker 2: that's how they do it. They don't grade. They don't
- 7:21Speaker 2: do it. They go grade literally every single pass. It's
- 7:25Speaker 2: something that he just is not good enough with, despite
- 7:27Speaker 2: having a great arm in terms of power and you
- 7:31Speaker 2: know ag likes. Part of it is sometimes you know
- 7:35Speaker 2: it when you need it here. If you're watching on YouTube,
- 7:37Speaker 2: we don't want it just we don't want it here.
- 7:40Speaker 2: We want it here. Bill Walsh talked about it. If
- 7:42Speaker 2: you see the NFL Films video, I think it was
- 7:46Speaker 2: either either Steve Young or Joe Montana, the one of them.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Funny's made it great pas because no, it wasn't. I
- 7:51Speaker 2: want it here, I don't want to hear And they
- 7:53Speaker 2: were like, whoa, Okay, I get it. That's run after
- 7:57Speaker 2: the catch. You want me the past target going forward
- 8:01Speaker 2: not to slow up that. That is part of the
- 8:03Speaker 2: issue with separation. That is not in the numbers that
- 8:06Speaker 2: you got to only know by tape and context. Man
- 8:09Speaker 2: you'll never get that on social media unless people want
- 8:12Speaker 2: to be smart about it. You gotta you gotta have
- 8:14Speaker 2: contact with this stuff.
- 8:17Speaker 1: And I I to yeah again with the AJA thing,
- 8:23Speaker 1: and I know he told reporters it's it's tough. You know,
- 8:26Speaker 1: he's trying to make fun of the situation to get
- 8:29Speaker 1: through it. I mean that sounds like a sort of
- 8:31Speaker 1: convenient excuse, like what he said was just venting. You know,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it's my life's fine. But but but he's venting, and
- 8:40Speaker 1: he's very well and it's not like he got caught
- 8:42Speaker 1: like saying something to a friend. He's playing a video
- 8:44Speaker 1: he's venting on the platform that's viewed by hundreds of thousands.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You know what he's doing exactly. He knows what he's doing.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And now I you know, he did tell reporters U
- 8:54Speaker 1: on Wednesday night, man, they had a late locker hurt
- 8:56Speaker 1: six thirty and then the locker room open around seven. Uh,
- 8:59Speaker 1: he's he did say, you know, I'm just trying to
- 9:01Speaker 1: have fun with it. But I think you're he's back.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He's frustrated. I just know from the Titans talking to
- 9:09Speaker 2: them at the time of the trade and talked to
- 9:10Speaker 2: so many people close to him there. He's very emotional.
- 9:15Speaker 2: He wears his heart in sleeve. He does really really care. Now,
- 9:18Speaker 2: would you rather have not air his frustration publicly? I'm sure.
- 9:24Speaker 2: But now if it becomes a problem, and if it
- 9:27Speaker 2: does get out, then that's a problem. If you mentioned distract,
- 9:33Speaker 2: if it does become a real distraction, then that's a problem.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Like you can't have that when you might be on
- 9:39Speaker 2: another Super Bowl run. Because this roster is how he
- 9:42Speaker 2: added three players when one of them won't be with
- 9:44Speaker 2: the team. About that later, but one got off that
- 9:48Speaker 2: unbelievable start. Merloll Reese and I hosted The Pro Football
- 9:51Speaker 2: Report on Tuesday. Folks, you have to hear the show.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'm not giving you any of the stories that Merrill
- 9:55Speaker 2: gave the people that were Chicken, Pizze and Warrington. Jeff,
- 10:00Speaker 2: We're almost fell off the chair like I did.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I couldn't me was a great storyteller.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I merriw for nearly twenty or someone something like that,
- 10:08Speaker 2: and he and I've shared a lot of stories and
- 10:10Speaker 2: fun together. But I just turned the show over to him,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and he just because he goes through his mind, yep.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And this Doug Peterson story and then and by the way,
- 10:21Speaker 2: the one that he told Andrew and I the show
- 10:23Speaker 2: before this about him and Chip Kelly.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Mmmm, it's Meryl.
- 10:29Speaker 2: He's he doesn't. He doesn't. He's like, Hey, I want
- 10:33Speaker 2: people to be informed and know what it's like. And
- 10:35Speaker 2: I was like, holy, he's bleep.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:39Speaker 2: So that was a great fun show. We really enjoyed it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah, let me because I agree with everything you say,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and I think we can both sort of summarize it
- 10:47Speaker 1: this way as we move on from the Holy J.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Brown thing is that you guys have a very strong foundation.
- 10:52Speaker 1: They've been able to persevere through this for a while.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But as we saw you pointed it up a couple
- 10:58Speaker 1: of years ago. Winning, As every player and coach will
- 11:01Speaker 1: tell you, winning covers up a lot of that. Winning
- 11:03Speaker 1: helps that foundation become stronger. If the Eagles don't win,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you know, if they start losing games, and I think
- 11:11Speaker 1: this Lions game, some people have sort of related it
- 11:15Speaker 1: to the Niners game two years ago that they got
- 11:18Speaker 1: their rear ends kicked in and then it started the tailspin.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I don't expect the Eagles to get their their rear
- 11:25Speaker 1: ends kicked in. Could they lose, sure, but if they
- 11:27Speaker 1: were to lose, like not just the Lion, they like
- 11:29Speaker 1: two out of four or three. If it started to
- 11:32Speaker 1: get like that, I do think this, all this stuff
- 11:35Speaker 1: that is being covered up right now as it is,
- 11:38Speaker 1: could threaten what they've got. But that's why it's important
- 11:42Speaker 1: for them to keep winning. And they have enough talent
- 11:43Speaker 1: to do it.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Oh, they have enough talent. And look again, this is
- 11:46Speaker 2: a down year for the quality league. They're right up
- 11:48Speaker 2: there there. You know, everyone could do their own power rankings.
- 11:51Speaker 2: If you're being honest, they're top two or top three team.
- 11:53Speaker 2: The Phillips trade. I know it's only one game. Merril
- 11:55Speaker 2: said it he can't remember a better debut by a
- 11:58Speaker 2: defensive player, and since he's it's been what nearly fifty
- 12:00Speaker 2: years since he's been calling. Well, that's a good question.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I can't think of He asked me and big time
- 12:08Speaker 1: defensive player that they traded for to make that kind
- 12:11Speaker 1: of a difference, we.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Called a camera right now. Let me call Joe, let
- 12:14Speaker 2: me go two one five, Uh.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I would say Zach Bond's debut game, it wasn't a trade,
- 12:21Speaker 1: it was a it was a it was a free
- 12:23Speaker 1: agent signing. But Zach Bond's first game as an Eagle
- 12:26Speaker 1: was incredible, right, that was, But I.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Would say more after trade though, was the context? Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You know, Slay was traded for it, but that wasn't
- 12:36Speaker 1: in the middle of the season. Yeah, i'd have to
- 12:38Speaker 1: go you'd have to go way back. I'll give you
- 12:43Speaker 1: a great one.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Will Witherspoon.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It was a that they acquired from either the Titans
- 12:48Speaker 1: or Rams.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I can't remember. He was so good the Rams. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 2: and it just didn't work here. Good dude, it just
- 12:54Speaker 2: didn't work well.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You know, no middle line, no off ball linebackers really
- 12:58Speaker 1: working in the late Andy Reider, you know, my man, I.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Just can't believe how good their backers are. I just
- 13:06Speaker 2: I'm kind of like when we said this a couple
- 13:08Speaker 2: of years ago, you won't be embarrassed about the linebackers
- 13:10Speaker 2: a little, did we know? I mean, we don't do
- 13:13Speaker 2: rankings on the show. But I have a hard time
- 13:15Speaker 2: believing the threesome. I know Campbell Dean right now is
- 13:18Speaker 2: better for what they need than Campbell. I understand that,
- 13:20Speaker 2: but the three of them together, are you serious?
- 13:23Speaker 1: I never thought I would be an Eagles reporter when
- 13:26Speaker 1: they had too many good off ball linebackers, and don't
- 13:28Speaker 1: forget Trotter's not bad rights not probably play and arn
- 13:32Speaker 1: Brooks came in last year and played at a really
- 13:35Speaker 1: high level too when he had to be in the playoffs,
- 13:37Speaker 1: So go figure. Hey, it's Jeff Mosher. And if you
- 13:40Speaker 1: have a family and kids at home, like me, you
- 13:42Speaker 1: always want them to be fully protected. That's why I'm
- 13:45Speaker 1: thrilled to be a Simply Safe customer. And our house
- 13:48Speaker 1: is equipped with the most technologically advanced alarm system you
- 13:52Speaker 1: can get. If you could actually stop someone from breaking
- 13:54Speaker 1: into your home before they got inside, why wouldn't you.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Traditional security systems only react after they're a break in,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but simply Safe is different because it stops crimes before
- 14:05Speaker 1: they happen. With active guard outdoor protection, they're AI powered
- 14:09Speaker 1: cameras detect threats while they're still outside your home and
- 14:12Speaker 1: they alert real security agents. These agents take action while
- 14:16Speaker 1: the intruder is still outside and confront the intruder to
- 14:19Speaker 1: let them know they're being watched on camera and police
- 14:22Speaker 1: is on the way. And that's how you stop a
- 14:24Speaker 1: crime before it's committed. There's no long term contracts or

- 14:44Speaker 1: security system at simplysafe dot com slash bird. That's simplysafe
- 14:49Speaker 1: dot com slash bird. All right, let's move on to
- 14:52Speaker 1: the really pressing news. Obviously, Jelly the whole I swear
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna write a book about the crazy things that
- 14:59Speaker 1: have happened in Eagles Lore and Daria. Alexander will be
- 15:03Speaker 1: up there with him. You know, you and I were
- 15:07Speaker 1: pretty skeptical, skeptical about the trap. I mean, they gave
- 15:10Speaker 1: up nothing, so that's not the part of the skepticism.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But was he really going to come in here and
- 15:14Speaker 1: help the team, if healthy, if he was the Alexander
- 15:17Speaker 1: of a couple of years ago, Yeah, you could see it.
- 15:19Speaker 1: But there's a reason we both said that the packers
- 15:23Speaker 1: gave up on him and the Ravens gave up on him,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and so I didn't have high expectations. But I also
- 15:28Speaker 1: didn't think he was just gonna up and leave.
- 15:30Speaker 2: No, but I think what right I think when when
- 15:33Speaker 2: you really look at it. Right, So, after Thursday's practice,
- 15:37Speaker 2: which is the first practice of the week because they
- 15:38Speaker 2: played on Monday night, he told the reporters that's the
- 15:41Speaker 2: best he's felt since last season. I was like, Okay,
- 15:44Speaker 2: let's hope he doesn't have a setback. I'm saying to myself.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Little did I know. So basically think about it, and
- 15:50Speaker 2: this like rarely happens. So I pretty sartin. It was
- 15:55Speaker 2: prior to the walk prior to them flying, and after
- 15:57Speaker 2: the walkthrough, they put him on the report with the knee.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And they also let reporters know that part of it
- 16:03Speaker 2: was coach's decision. He wasn't going to travel, and you
- 16:06Speaker 2: know that he needed more time to learn the scheme.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Totally understand that match carriage delivers not for everybody. You
- 16:11Speaker 2: have to learn how to the mirror, the the match
- 16:13Speaker 2: system that Fangio uses, which some teams use. By the way, Uh,
- 16:19Speaker 2: it's it's Jaicryan Bennett wasn't totally getting it before he
- 16:22Speaker 2: got hurt, by the way, with pectoral strain. So anyway, okay,
- 16:25Speaker 2: and then the next thing you know, uh, it gets
- 16:29Speaker 2: out there from my guy Glazer. Uh and it I
- 16:33Speaker 2: was like, wow, really, and you and I were talking
- 16:35Speaker 2: about it, like wow, he uh, you know, he looked
- 16:38Speaker 2: pretty good for what we understand and practice, and then
- 16:40Speaker 2: I don't know. He You never know what though, because
- 16:43Speaker 2: it was a major knee injury and surgery. You never
- 16:47Speaker 2: know if it could swallow up the next day. That
- 16:48Speaker 2: that's the thing we don't know because nobody gets access
- 16:50Speaker 2: to him. Yep. But you could only go by what
- 16:53Speaker 2: you know from the information that's available. Is that the
- 16:57Speaker 2: fact that they put him on the injuryport Sunday is
- 16:59Speaker 2: obviously something happened. He wasn't feeling right and the fact
- 17:02Speaker 2: that he's on the reserve retardless. Is the way it
- 17:04Speaker 2: works is he could come out of retirement tomorrow. The
- 17:07Speaker 2: Eagles actually have to reinstate him now they could wind
- 17:09Speaker 2: up cutting them if they want it. And you know,
- 17:13Speaker 2: now we're not totally sure where they left it with them.
- 17:16Speaker 2: They've never said they wouldn't take him back, but he
- 17:19Speaker 2: needs this time away. Let's hope he's doing okay, wish
- 17:22Speaker 2: him well, and it's it. We obviously have to outline
- 17:26Speaker 2: what they have going for now with him out of
- 17:27Speaker 2: the picture. They were definitely counting on him to contribute.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I mean, it's the fact.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Yeah, they were hoping. They certainly were hoping.
- 17:33Speaker 2: For thought he was going to and and now that
- 17:35Speaker 2: he's not, we're.
- 17:37Speaker 1: They were going to I gotta tell you then that
- 17:40Speaker 1: that's on them.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I mean, why would you make the train diff between
- 17:44Speaker 2: because it's a dart throw.
- 17:45Speaker 1: If you have you have nothing to lose, you're hoping
- 17:47Speaker 1: that maybe he can be the guy that two other
- 17:51Speaker 1: teams couldn't get out of him over the last year
- 17:53Speaker 1: and a half. That's but if you were hope, if
- 17:55Speaker 1: you were if they were pinning their hopes thinking three
- 17:57Speaker 1: weeks from now, this guy's are starting cornerback. Sorry, that's
- 17:59Speaker 1: on I.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Know, let's put it this way. Let's put it this way.
- 18:02Speaker 2: You don't make a trade, okay, Christian Park and maybe
- 18:05Speaker 2: he still talked to him. I know he didn't coach
- 18:07Speaker 2: him technically. He was a defensive quality control coach. That
- 18:09Speaker 2: means you're not coaching him. You're you might know the
- 18:11Speaker 2: player because you're on that side of the football with
- 18:14Speaker 2: the Packers. But we know that Eric Decost and how
- 18:18Speaker 2: we've known each other for a number of years, and
- 18:21Speaker 2: whatever intel they had suggested they thought he could be
- 18:24Speaker 2: ready at some point in the near future. It could
- 18:26Speaker 2: have been a week, three weeks. But guess what, he's not.
- 18:28Speaker 2: So let's move on. And now they're back to square one.
- 18:31Speaker 2: We're past the trade deadline. They never worked out of
- 18:35Speaker 2: Santie Samuel Junior. They had no interest in him. Okay,
- 18:37Speaker 2: mm hmm, okay, he signed with the Steelers practice squad. No, technically,
- 18:41Speaker 2: if you can do it, you can't block anyone from
- 18:44Speaker 2: signing a player off a practice squad. You could offer
- 18:46Speaker 2: him a fifty if you have them on your your
- 18:48Speaker 2: practice squad, you go, hey, don't sign there, We'll move
- 18:50Speaker 2: you up to our fifty three. That's all you can do.
- 18:53Speaker 2: So but to this point they've shown no interest. So
- 18:56Speaker 2: all you can do is really you poach. You try
- 18:59Speaker 2: to poach a player off for the squad by talking
- 19:02Speaker 2: to the agent, or you work out players. They're not
- 19:05Speaker 2: working a corner. So it's right now going for Bennett,
- 19:09Speaker 2: by the way, was activated off of Venger reserve. He's
- 19:12Speaker 2: now in fifty three. He takes Alexander's place on the
- 19:14Speaker 2: fifty three. They're now they're back to the limit of
- 19:16Speaker 2: fifty three. You've got Ringo and you got Jackson and
- 19:19Speaker 2: you got Coop if you need to, and mac Mickwillams.
- 19:23Speaker 2: As you know, they just vict Kally doesn't think he's
- 19:25Speaker 2: ready to help them.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Right right, I mean, yes, you can look at practice
- 19:29Speaker 1: squad guys, and maybe there's somebody out there you like,
- 19:32Speaker 1: here's a veteran who's good, but he's depth. They have
- 19:34Speaker 1: two options. Their options are either try to continue to
- 19:39Speaker 1: hide Ador Jackson and see if you can get away
- 19:41Speaker 1: with it, and if you can't, you move Cooper to
- 19:43Speaker 1: Gene outside and play Michael Carter at nicol that I
- 19:46Speaker 1: can't imagine that they're going to poach a dude off
- 19:47Speaker 1: the practice squad is going to be their starting right
- 19:49Speaker 1: corner when everybody's healthy.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh, I would go, I would go listen exactly. I
- 19:53Speaker 2: would go with Coop in a minute, and Vic Scotta
- 19:55Speaker 2: just as much as he doesn't want to do it,
- 19:57Speaker 2: because Coop is remarkable at Nickel mm hmm. It's just
- 20:02Speaker 2: you're trying to win a super Bowl, Okay. This team
- 20:04Speaker 2: is just as good as anyone's, if not better. And
- 20:07Speaker 2: you got Michael Carter who gotten doctrinated in a practice
- 20:09Speaker 2: last week. So now just just be careful when Sirianni
- 20:13Speaker 2: talks about the players, it's always positive. It's very rare.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Like you could tell when Andy Reeve was here in
- 20:18Speaker 2: Philly when he was not happy with a player's performance.
- 20:21Speaker 2: There's a certain thing he would say, yep. But with Sirianni,
- 20:24Speaker 2: it's I don't that guy could have the worst game ever.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Oh he had some good snat like he won't tell
- 20:29Speaker 2: you the truth. So when he's talking about Ringo, I
- 20:31Speaker 2: just kind of laughed because they think so little of Ringo. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 2: they only played him on defense because Jackson, because Quinnell left,
- 20:41Speaker 2: you know, the game for a little bit. So let's
- 20:42Speaker 2: just be careful of what Nick says. I understand that's
- 20:46Speaker 2: his job, and God bless him for doing that. Struct
- 20:48Speaker 2: they think positive.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It's just so funny though, when he when he says, like,
- 20:51Speaker 1: you know, oh, we're really happy with the dory. Ringo
- 20:53Speaker 1: has given us a good play. Well, then why have
- 20:55Speaker 1: you traded him for? Why are you signing a guy
- 20:57Speaker 1: like trading for a guy who can't get on the.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I laugh and I wanted to text, so I didn't.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I was when you texted me. I was out on Wednesday,
- 21:08Speaker 2: so I didn't hear the press commerce. Look, oh I
- 21:09Speaker 2: got to hear this because you were explaining to me
- 21:10Speaker 2: what happened. Oh boy, I'm gonna listen to this. And
- 21:14Speaker 2: I laughed. And then Mike Gill asked you on football? No? No,
- 21:18Speaker 2: he said, oh, well, sir, and he thinks Ringo is
- 21:21Speaker 2: doing well. And I almost wanted to text Mike, Oh
- 21:23Speaker 2: you serious? You really believe that. I mean, he's a
- 21:27Speaker 2: great special teams player. He's great at it. But yeah,
- 21:30Speaker 2: I mean this is three years now, folks, do you
- 21:31Speaker 2: need more? They don't want him to be starting. What
- 21:34Speaker 2: more do you need? They wanted him too, They tried sometime.
- 21:38Speaker 2: It doesn't work unfortunately anyway. Yeah, it's it's transparent.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Hey, I still like a good night out, but I'm
- 21:44Speaker 1: not always in the mood to drink. And that's why
- 21:47Speaker 1: I looked for a great alternative, and I found one.

- 23:07Speaker 1: Com promo code birds for thirty percent off. So the
- 23:12Speaker 1: only good thing about Jay or Alexander stepping away and
- 23:15Speaker 1: going on the reserve retire list is that we don't
- 23:18Speaker 1: have to argue anymore, not argue, we don't have to
- 23:20Speaker 1: like sit there and play the guessing game on who
- 23:23Speaker 1: then has to become the guy that gets excized from
- 23:26Speaker 1: the roster.
- 23:27Speaker 2: To do clear roof of Oh yeah, exactly.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So Ja Coryan Bennett's back on the fifty three and
- 23:32Speaker 1: they're good and when no, remember they were at fifty
- 23:35Speaker 1: two when Nolan Smith came on. So now again they're
- 23:38Speaker 1: they're good here at fifty three without having to lose
- 23:42Speaker 1: anybody else's job up.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So that's good.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And we'll see, like you said, Bennett wasn't getting he
- 23:47Speaker 1: wasn't healthy, and then he was you know, a he
- 23:50Speaker 1: wasn't getting the system. Then he got hurt and so
- 23:53Speaker 1: it's hard to get familiar with that system while you're
- 23:55Speaker 1: hurt and not getting out there and getting the practice reps.
- 23:59Speaker 1: But he's been in a window now for this will
- 24:01Speaker 1: be week three or no, the three week window expired,
- 24:03Speaker 1: so he's been out there. So hopefully, if you're you know,
- 24:07Speaker 1: if the Eagles coaches, you're hoping maybe he made some
- 24:09Speaker 1: strides here and you know, I don't. He's not going
- 24:12Speaker 1: to be the starter, but.
- 24:13Speaker 2: No, but let's put it, he'll absolutely be playing if
- 24:17Speaker 2: he's ready. There's They tried it for Bennett. Okay, I understand,
- 24:25Speaker 2: and you're absolutely right. He'd trouble with the system. Okay,
- 24:27Speaker 2: he changed. Can he not played in the system? It's
- 24:29Speaker 2: not for everybody in the match system because you you know,
- 24:32Speaker 2: you match, you carry him to an area, you deliver
- 24:33Speaker 2: them to him. He wasn't comfortable with it, okay, and
- 24:36Speaker 2: then he got heard. He's been out for a while.
- 24:38Speaker 2: If VIC thinks he's ready, he's playing. Hell, it won't
- 24:41Speaker 2: be now that it's It's just where they're at. Okay.
- 24:46Speaker 2: They've gone out of the way not to play ringo
- 24:48Speaker 2: a lot over the last three years. They've done it
- 24:49Speaker 2: when they've had to. He also given him time after
- 24:52Speaker 2: time after time, and to try. It just didn't work. Okay,
- 24:55Speaker 2: Bennett's here. He could run. His tape was pretty good
- 24:58Speaker 2: when he was healthy last year. But he had both
- 25:00Speaker 2: shoulders fixed. They're good. Then he has this pectoral strain.
- 25:04Speaker 2: So we'll see there. They're at options. We're past the
- 25:06Speaker 2: trade deadline. The other option is putting Coop over there
- 25:08Speaker 2: now right, they.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Got to see what they got. I agree with you,
- 25:10Speaker 1: and I think you know, I think a dorige. I'm
- 25:12Speaker 1: sorry I didn't inter're up Torriy Jackson my start, but
- 25:14Speaker 1: you know, the guy gives up again. They've been hiding
- 25:17Speaker 1: him well, but he gives up three or four catches
- 25:19Speaker 1: in the first quarter. I think the lease is short
- 25:21Speaker 1: and you're gonna see Bennett in there as as well.
- 25:24Speaker 2: You do that or let me tell you something, Vic, Look,
- 25:27Speaker 2: you gotta win games. And Coop is a hell of
- 25:31Speaker 2: an athlete. He got got The guy was a corner
- 25:34Speaker 2: before all this. Let's not getting goes drafted in play corner.
- 25:36Speaker 2: But things happened due to injury and they move Nickel
- 25:38Speaker 2: and who knew? So with Jamison Williams coming to town
- 25:42Speaker 2: and I give Dan Campbell. We're gonna talk more about
- 25:44Speaker 2: this with Greg on Friday for or that whatever you
- 25:47Speaker 2: do the pregame show. But Dan Campbell called Place twenty
- 25:50Speaker 2: one not didn't do a great job of it? Did okay?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Not great? I took he fired Anthony Lynn or Anthony
- 25:56Speaker 2: lennyra signed him. Anthony Lynn was in over his head
- 25:58Speaker 2: as a play caller, but pretty good run coach. But
- 26:01Speaker 2: Dan's learned a lot since then. He's become a great
- 26:03Speaker 2: head coach one the top and he called a hell
- 26:05Speaker 2: of a game against watching it, I know, watching all
- 26:07Speaker 2: sorts of injuries. That's not the point, right, you got
- 26:09Speaker 2: Jameson won. Jameson Wallace was awesome in that game. Yep,
- 26:13Speaker 2: lookout Sunday Man because you got Aman Ross phenomenal. Now
- 26:17Speaker 2: the Porter will get into their injuries, their injury report.
- 26:19Speaker 2: All of a sudden, they added a bunch of players
- 26:21Speaker 2: for their injuryport. We'll get into that, but it's gonna
- 26:24Speaker 2: be a fun matchup on Sunday Night Football.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Sunday Night Football. Then that cater as well to our
- 26:30Speaker 1: next topic, the injuries. So the Eagles had to walk
- 26:33Speaker 1: through Wednesday. So that's an estimation, and I'm very curious
- 26:37Speaker 1: to see what it looks like today and tomorrow with
- 26:41Speaker 1: this short turnaround, because you kind of talked me off
- 26:43Speaker 1: that I thought having the entire starting offensive line except
- 26:48Speaker 1: Jordan my Alatta on the injury report as limited for
- 26:52Speaker 1: a walkthrough was not a great sign. But to your point,
- 26:54Speaker 1: and you know, it's better than them, not like the
- 26:57Speaker 1: way Lane Johnson was really struggling there, came out and
- 26:59Speaker 1: had to go back and Cam Jurgens, we haven't you know,
- 27:02Speaker 1: really seen. I guess it's a good indication that they
- 27:05Speaker 1: were at least limited, and you hope that they can
- 27:07Speaker 1: get to full and better as the week progresses. Well,
- 27:11Speaker 1: there's nothing better in full. You just hope they can
- 27:13Speaker 1: get to full.
- 27:14Speaker 2: As we yes, by Friday, yeah, by Friday. So basically
- 27:17Speaker 2: they had to walk through obviously. Now, although Chip Kelly
- 27:20Speaker 2: would probably practice on Wednesday, but that's another story. You know,
- 27:23Speaker 2: Chip Chip believed they having a walk through on Friday
- 27:26Speaker 2: and the Saturday practice. Boy, the players really love that
- 27:28Speaker 2: one anyway. Yeah, yeah, so limited was a diction. This
- 27:32Speaker 2: is a new injury, quadriceps. You had another new injury
- 27:35Speaker 2: for him. But he did get some light working on Wednesday.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Lane Johnson with the ankle to participate on a limited basis.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Cam Jurgens did a little bit within a cool at
- 27:43Speaker 2: least he participated in the walk through. Ayleer Stein's injury
- 27:46Speaker 2: is new. It's an oblique. You know, you're not a
- 27:50Speaker 2: picture in baseball. He wo'd be out two months. You know,
- 27:51Speaker 2: if you have an oblique, you're done for a while.
- 27:53Speaker 2: But yeah, skill position players more often than not don't
- 27:57Speaker 2: play when they have an oblique injury. The same week
- 27:59Speaker 2: so we have to watch this one. But at least
- 28:01Speaker 2: he participated in it. The long snapper cal Adamitas with
- 28:05Speaker 2: a finger injury. He did it in full, so you
- 28:08Speaker 2: know he's gonna play Bennett full Darius Cooper the shoulder.
- 28:12Speaker 2: The cool thing is he did participate it, and remember he
- 28:14Speaker 2: got he reinjured the shoulder in the game, and then
- 28:16Speaker 2: he came back. The phenom of fans on the internet
- 28:20Speaker 2: love Willie Lampkin with a knee and an ankle. He participated.
- 28:23Speaker 2: See here's the thing, though, I think you said this
- 28:27Speaker 2: best last week. What's the point of bringing like Okay,
- 28:29Speaker 2: you can let him practice. That's great part of his
- 28:32Speaker 2: part of getting to know who he is as a players.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Let him practice because you can't if you don't designate
- 28:36Speaker 2: for a return, he cannot practice. So at least they
- 28:39Speaker 2: get a look at him. But he'll never be like
- 28:41Speaker 2: it's like, what, he's an undrafted free agent, right, he
- 28:45Speaker 2: wasn't drafted by the worms. He's an undrafted free agent.
- 28:48Speaker 2: He wasn't here. He was he's barely been here, So
- 28:51Speaker 2: you don't really know the player. Are you really gonna
- 28:53Speaker 2: activate him? Then? How active on game date to potentially
- 28:56Speaker 2: play that that's a long shot. Yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I like in this situation with Willy to a little bit.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I don't want to not apples to apples to Lewis
- 29:03Speaker 1: scene last year. Now see was obviously a first round pick.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Who But the whole point is they're on the fifty
- 29:09Speaker 1: three man roster, but not their intent is not to
- 29:11Speaker 1: play this guy this year. It's to have him in
- 29:13Speaker 1: the building, have him practice, develop them so that next
- 29:17Speaker 1: year when OTAs and camp come around, do you have
- 29:19Speaker 1: something there there. I can't imagine there's any intent to
- 29:22Speaker 1: get Willie Lampkin on the field this year.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I would be that would surprise me. Willy Lampkin, by
- 29:29Speaker 2: the way, on your point, has a three year deal
- 29:31Speaker 2: because you know he undrect your freegent signed three year deals,
- 29:33Speaker 2: so right, yeah, he signed through twenty twenty seven, so yeah,
- 29:37Speaker 2: it's he's an intriguing player. Man. I know he's short,
- 29:41Speaker 2: but do we know his armblands? Off hand? I can't
- 29:44Speaker 2: remember if he had his measurables?
- 29:45Speaker 1: I don't off hand.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Okay, okay, but the bottom line is these developmental players.
- 29:50Speaker 2: This is a good one. It was controversial because you
- 29:53Speaker 2: typically do not claim players off You don't claim them
- 29:56Speaker 2: when they're wave injured. It's very rare. It's it's not
- 30:00Speaker 2: seen as good practices. But you know what, so what
- 30:04Speaker 2: all's fair and love of war Eagles, how he knows
- 30:07Speaker 2: Kevin's Kevin Demoff very well. The president, you know, he
- 30:11Speaker 2: knows his people. It is what it is. But you
- 30:14Speaker 2: know what, you're trying to get better. Who it's the bottom.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Line, true, you're trying to get better. And he's an
- 30:20Speaker 1: interesting guy. So so really it's the offensive line we
- 30:24Speaker 1: got to kind of monitor here. I'd let you're right
- 30:28Speaker 1: about that oblique injury. That can be tricky for skill
- 30:30Speaker 1: position players, maybe less for alignment, but still not great.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, you don't want to have an offensive lineman
- 30:35Speaker 1: who's got like a soreness in the chest area or
- 30:38Speaker 1: may have like range of motion issues in blocking or pivoting,
- 30:43Speaker 1: is really hurting him.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Surely, just so people know if you've ever I've had
- 30:47Speaker 2: an oblique strain. Man, it can't even it's hard to
- 30:50Speaker 2: sleep with it. It's uh, it's not good. Yeah, I
- 30:53Speaker 2: don't he looks like he was a non combine invited
- 30:56Speaker 2: because I'm not seeing let's seeing my numbers here. But anyway,
- 31:01Speaker 2: so yeah, you want to get to let's get to. Yeah,
- 31:05Speaker 2: there are a lot of them, by the way, So
- 31:07Speaker 2: here're the ones that, as I understand their concern about
- 31:09Speaker 2: Tarrion Arnold is still in the concussion protocol. Folks, to
- 31:12Speaker 2: say they're beat up a corner would be an understatement.
- 31:15Speaker 2: So dj Reid, you know, they say he's on the
- 31:18Speaker 2: big free agent deal. Uh, he's been out since week five.
- 31:21Speaker 2: He had a severe hamstring strain. He started working back Wednesday.
- 31:26Speaker 2: They won't they won't commit to know him. He's going
- 31:28Speaker 2: to They want to get him through practice this week.
- 31:30Speaker 2: It would be a surprise. But you're letting a guy
- 31:33Speaker 2: with a hamster stain practice, You must feel pretty good
- 31:35Speaker 2: about that it's healed. You know, why would you risk it? Right? True,
- 31:38Speaker 2: Annis Ray Costral second round pick, will not play this
- 31:40Speaker 2: year at major shoulder surgery. That this guy he fairly
- 31:43Speaker 2: played last year.
- 31:44Speaker 1: He was going to be there, Nickel, I know that
- 31:46Speaker 1: sucks for them.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so what the what they're doing now? This is
- 31:51Speaker 2: where they've run out of corner. So basically I will
- 31:53Speaker 2: tell you in a second. Rock Yasine formerly of Temple
- 31:58Speaker 2: you might remember him, yep, kind of a journeyman boy
- 32:01Speaker 2: time has flown in the National Football League.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Well, he's played for the Colts, he's played for the Raiders.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I think he's playing Niners. Niners. Yeah, he's been.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Around Ravens, right, he is now he turns thirty in
- 32:15Speaker 2: in May, Okay. So basically what they're doing because it's
- 32:19Speaker 2: it's a nightmare with all these injuries. If Arnold doesn't play,
- 32:22Speaker 2: which is realistic, mm hmm, you're probably gonna Rocky Scene
- 32:27Speaker 2: will start now, Amik Robertson. They playing Nickel. He's really
- 32:30Speaker 2: was drafted by the Races to being Nichol. He's a
- 32:31Speaker 2: smaller player but really aggressive and tough and smart.
- 32:34Speaker 1: He played really well for the play him some tomes.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It's been a great exactly. Remember he was like like, Wow,
- 32:41Speaker 2: he's actually gonna play outside. Wow. Arthur Molette, who's a
- 32:44Speaker 2: journeyman corner, has been with a lot of teams. Rocky scene.
- 32:47Speaker 2: They now they do have a Vonte Maddox. He's playing
- 32:51Speaker 2: sort of safety and corner. Nicol he's you know.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but what they're doing that, yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I know, but but they don't so and then the
- 33:00Speaker 2: other big one, this is major to me. Kirby Joseph
- 33:03Speaker 2: is highly unlikely to play when the top three for
- 33:05Speaker 2: safety is in the National Football League. Phenomenal football player
- 33:08Speaker 2: IHS paid safety in the NFL, number thirty one. It's
- 33:11Speaker 2: been out for the last three weeks weeks with a
- 33:12Speaker 2: knee injury. Dan Campbell did not give a time frame
- 33:14Speaker 2: to return. They're starting Thomas Harper, who they claimed off
- 33:19Speaker 2: waivers from the Raiders. If you follow Notre Dame, he
- 33:24Speaker 2: played there. He's starting right now. They're getting away with it.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Good coaching, but yeah, I mean they're getting away with it
- 33:30Speaker 2: and we'll see what happens. So they've got a lot
- 33:32Speaker 2: of injuries on the back end, then the new injuries
- 33:35Speaker 2: which just popped up this week.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 33:42Speaker 1: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 33:45Speaker 1: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is

- 34:33Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 34:36Speaker 1: one and up.
- 34:38Speaker 2: The big ones that Aiden Hutchinson now didn't sense an
- 34:41Speaker 2: a concern, but we'll learn more about the rest of
- 34:43Speaker 2: the week. He's got an elbow injury. Obviously, he's a
- 34:46Speaker 2: phenomenal football players on the major contract extension. Oh one
- 34:49Speaker 2: more which is interesting. It's actually important brock Wright their
- 34:53Speaker 2: y ten end, one of the highest paid why tight
- 34:54Speaker 2: ends in the National FOOTBA League. He's got an ankle injury,
- 34:57Speaker 2: so watch that because the Porter now is a back
- 34:59Speaker 2: end injury. Sam La Porter didn't work on Wednesday, and
- 35:04Speaker 2: I'm just looking at the guys who did not wear
- 35:06Speaker 2: Penny souls an echo injury. We'll arn know more about that.
- 35:08Speaker 2: They're right tackle so they're really beat up. I mean,
- 35:11Speaker 2: the Eagles are one of the healthiest teams in the
- 35:13Speaker 2: National Football League compared way to the Lions, and the
- 35:16Speaker 2: Lions are just they're making it. But I don't know
- 35:18Speaker 2: what it is about the Lions and their cornerbacks and injuries.
- 35:22Speaker 2: You know, I know Dan Campbell, he does hit in
- 35:24Speaker 2: training camp if I recall correctly. I think I know
- 35:29Speaker 2: they Every team does wear pats at some point, but
- 35:31Speaker 2: they might have hit in the regular season a little
- 35:33Speaker 2: bit before. I remember hearing that, maybe some years ago.
- 35:37Speaker 2: But I don't know what it is, man, I don't
- 35:39Speaker 2: know why they get hurt so much.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I don't know either that that team, the Lions and
- 35:43Speaker 1: the forty nine Ers and the command The Commanders are
- 35:46Speaker 1: an old team, so I get that. But yeah, I
- 35:49Speaker 1: feel like the forty nine Ers have like eight to
- 35:51Speaker 1: ten all the time, all the time. It's a crazy Yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Look, remember the Chargers for years and they still are.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Remember talking to them, they said they did a study,
- 36:02Speaker 2: they did everything you can to to try to change
- 36:05Speaker 2: the routine to be healthier. I don't know. I don't
- 36:08Speaker 2: know what it is. But getting that guy from Penn
- 36:13Speaker 2: Medicine arch Denota who does the the analysis of injuries
- 36:17Speaker 2: and how they should, how should how long they should
- 36:19Speaker 2: practice and all that stuff. It all works, man, sports science.
- 36:22Speaker 2: You could one of a few good things Chip Kelly
- 36:24Speaker 2: brought here were sports science.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Man, that's right, and the smoothies they're still.
- 36:31Speaker 2: And yeah, this Saturday practice players absolutely, I mean I
- 36:36Speaker 2: read it Chris once, I apologize for it, but oh.
- 36:38Speaker 1: My god, that they complained about that endlessly. I remember
- 36:42Speaker 1: once saying, I'm like, it's a walk through though, right,
- 36:45Speaker 1: he goes, I don't know walking going on? They were
- 36:47Speaker 1: They're like fool speed practices.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I was like, don't know how long they were, but
- 36:51Speaker 2: what do you? Oh well, medical science backed it up. Okay, okay.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Anyway, that is the injury and the trend action intel.
- 37:01Speaker 1: And this is a fascinating game coming up on Sunday Night,
- 37:04Speaker 1: and we're gonna have it covered even more so on
