- 0:04Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five wests stuck in
- 0:08Speaker 1: and they go, we're a whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 0:11Speaker 1: But what did you expect. It's a podcast called twenty five.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Whistles twenty line.
- 0:20Speaker 3: We're doing the show life from Saint Louis. We're outside
- 0:22Speaker 3: of the Bush Stadium and we.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Are in the sun.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Dude, this is amazing though, Like, we are literally in
- 0:28Speaker 2: front of the administrative offices of the Cardinals, right across.
- 0:31Speaker 1: The street from the stadium.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I think I just want to say we're right across
- 0:34Speaker 3: strero from the sadium instead of by the administrative office.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Well, the reason I.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Said that, sure, let's see administrative office.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I see is a clipboard it says right there.
- 0:41Speaker 2: But the reason I say that is because when people
- 0:43Speaker 2: complain about like the team, like problems in the front office,
- 0:46Speaker 2: that's it, dude.
- 0:46Speaker 1: That's what they're taking of. Problems right there, that's what
- 0:49Speaker 1: they're talking about.
- 0:50Speaker 4: When somebody says that about the Cardinals, You're like, I've
- 0:51Speaker 4: been there.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen it.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We were right in front of it.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Okay, welcome to twenty five Whistles on location in Saint Louis.
- 0:58Speaker 3: A couple of things before I forget we stopped. I
- 1:01Speaker 3: like to stop in any local city at the local
- 1:03Speaker 3: card shop and help the economy.
- 1:04Speaker 1: That's the first thing we did.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Help the economy.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Well, we had time once we got off the plane
- 1:09Speaker 3: and we were going to Jim Edmon's house and I
- 1:12Speaker 3: bought a box of cards. And it's really windy, and
- 1:15Speaker 3: it's fine by me. I like to win. But can
- 1:16Speaker 3: you hear the win of the mics? You think, no
- 1:19Speaker 3: love it?
- 1:20Speaker 1: He has no monitor in his ears. Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 3: So yeah, we were going to Cardinal great Jim Edmond's
- 1:27Speaker 3: house to do an interview what you'll hear next week.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And while we're on the way, we went by a
- 1:31Speaker 3: card shop and I bought a box of current cards.
- 1:33Speaker 3: They're twenty twenty four like tops chrome, and inside of
- 1:38Speaker 3: these cards, like in every pack, there was like one
- 1:40Speaker 3: old school great and I literally pulled a after we
- 1:43Speaker 3: were Jim Edmon's house, a Jim Edmonds tops chrome autograph.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Well all of them look autographed. There it's part of
- 1:51Speaker 3: the make. Oh okay, but that's not a real it's
- 1:53Speaker 3: his autograph, but it's like a what they call facsimile autograph.
- 1:56Speaker 1: A dude, this is so cool, man. We were just
- 1:58Speaker 1: at his house. Ye.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Well, it was one of the odds that that's one
- 2:01Speaker 3: of the people that I pulled.
- 2:02Speaker 1: They are like eight packs in the whole thing.
- 2:04Speaker 3: There was also a Dizzy Dean, which who's an old
- 2:07Speaker 3: Cardinals player, and a Bobby Door who's an old Red
- 2:09Speaker 3: Sox player. But I pulled him whenever I opened up
- 2:12Speaker 3: those on our stream, the signatures from Hall of Famers. Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 3: and I said it to Eddie and he's like, who's
- 2:18Speaker 3: Bobby Door, the guy from Major League Movie?
- 2:20Speaker 1: And I was like, no, it's an old Red Sox,
- 2:22Speaker 1: the one that wild thing fights with you. Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 3: So we're in Saint Louis. A couple of things I
- 2:28Speaker 3: wanted to talk about. Number One, the n C double
- 2:32Speaker 3: A basically lost a lawsuit and now colleges can pay
- 2:39Speaker 3: their players, which I think is a great thing because
- 2:43Speaker 3: at least it's going to give us some structure in
- 2:46Speaker 3: the wild West that is in IL. I also saw
- 2:48Speaker 3: a Penny Hardaway talking saying that his assistant coaches make
- 2:51Speaker 3: less than his players do now, which is hilarious.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:54Speaker 3: And eventually or in some schools, it's going to be
- 2:56Speaker 3: the opposite where some of the players are going to
- 2:59Speaker 3: make more than possible, believe newer head coaches.
- 3:02Speaker 2: But I mean that's it in the pro level, right
- 3:03Speaker 2: in the pro level, like you're dealing with managers that
- 3:07Speaker 2: make less than their but it is like pro right,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you know, I'm just saying it's a new world.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Well I get it, but I'm just in general and
- 3:12Speaker 1: a lesser pay frame.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like the best college players never going to make
- 3:17Speaker 3: as much as the best professional player. Yeah, because there
- 3:20Speaker 3: are five million colleges, but yes.
- 3:22Speaker 6: And a lot of these assistants are former players that
- 3:25Speaker 6: played at a high level or they're like, wait, where
- 3:27Speaker 6: was this ten years ago?
- 3:29Speaker 3: So what you know? I read a couple of like
- 3:32Speaker 3: the headlines and I didn't want to dive in because
- 3:34Speaker 3: they were still waiting for the SEC to kind of
- 3:36Speaker 3: jump on.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And they did.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And I think the PAC twelve was a big part
- 3:39Speaker 3: of it. Was were they the last one or was
- 3:41Speaker 3: the last one?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:42Speaker 4: I think the PAC twelve.
- 3:42Speaker 6: But they said they're on board from the original even
- 3:44Speaker 6: though they're pretty.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Much in shambles.
- 3:46Speaker 3: So it's like the PAC two now yeah, yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 6: But they're still it's still the same thing as what
- 3:50Speaker 6: they originally agreed to.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I mean, only two teams in there left. Yeah, yeah, literally,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I think there are two teams.
- 3:56Speaker 3: So what what can you tell me about this?
- 3:58Speaker 6: So they first agreed on the two point eight billion
- 4:00Speaker 6: dollar settlement of buy our payment back payment from players
- 4:04Speaker 6: that were prior to nil, right before the four years
- 4:07Speaker 6: prior to nil that are like, hey, why didn't we
- 4:09Speaker 6: get paid at all?
- 4:10Speaker 3: Okay, so it's not start the lawsuit. Whenever the NFL
- 4:13Speaker 3: was sued for a concussion and a lot of old
- 4:17Speaker 3: players through all of NFL history got paid. There were
- 4:19Speaker 3: still lives.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yes, it's not that there's actually like a limit.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like the four players leading up to that
- 4:25Speaker 6: four years, four years, one college years.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Yes, one college cycle, where like, how do we get
- 4:29Speaker 4: bout all?
- 4:30Speaker 1: I mean they just missed out?
- 4:31Speaker 3: No, no, but you get But that's that's that's capitalism.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Luck of the draw at it.
- 4:35Speaker 3: But yeah, that's capitalism. That's if a new law is
- 4:37Speaker 3: made and you get However, think about two things. One,
- 4:39Speaker 3: think about you were a fourth guy, either like the
- 4:44Speaker 3: fourth you know, point getter, fourth guy or the fourth
- 4:49Speaker 3: guy off the bench, and you're done with school. You're
- 4:51Speaker 3: an accountant now and now you're gonna.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Get some money. Yeah, that's cool.
- 4:54Speaker 3: That's like the greatest news.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's also a group of five. It's not
- 4:57Speaker 6: just power five, it's all the schools. But the weird
- 5:00Speaker 6: thing is it's sixty forty group of five sixty or
- 5:04Speaker 6: five forty paying out.
- 5:05Speaker 4: It's one point six compared to one point two.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Oh man, that's bizarre.
- 5:09Speaker 6: So now a group of five is trying to get
- 5:10Speaker 6: it to change, like, hey, wait, why are we paying
- 5:13Speaker 6: more because there's apparently twenty two schools can I don't know.
- 5:16Speaker 4: So it's so it's a numbers game.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Maybe, But also you think it would just be built
- 5:20Speaker 3: on the revenue that eats school exactly made in the
- 5:22Speaker 3: athletic program more than just we're assigning unless it's a
- 5:26Speaker 3: revenue number based on what the conference is made. And
- 5:30Speaker 3: I'm sure the way smarter than we are. Yeah, and
- 5:32Speaker 3: maybe that's why it is. Yeah, but I do think
- 5:36Speaker 3: as weird as it is, and some old school folks,
- 5:38Speaker 3: even maybe Eddie.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Maybe not Eddie, No, I still have I still had
- 5:43Speaker 2: the angle of like, man, it's college, like get education,
- 5:46Speaker 2: don't get paid.
- 5:47Speaker 1: That's old. What do we do we pay high school players?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Now that's that's next. It's pretty sure that rolling down.
- 5:53Speaker 3: The hill college. But I think with a while west
- 5:56Speaker 3: of what was now starting to be legal, this is
- 5:58Speaker 3: a great step into having so sort of framework where
- 6:01Speaker 3: the schools can pay the players, where things are above board,
- 6:04Speaker 3: where there's not as much what they call dark money
- 6:07Speaker 3: in college athletics, which is not just players getting ANIL
- 6:10Speaker 3: and not having it reported because they don't have to write.
- 6:14Speaker 3: But through some of these boosters will go, hey, I'll
- 6:17Speaker 3: sign you to an NIL on the board for one
- 6:19Speaker 3: hundred thousand dollars, but I'll also secretly give you fifty
- 6:22Speaker 3: thousand cash so you don't to pay taxes on it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Like that's the dark dark money.
- 6:25Speaker 6: And this is separate from the NIL. So going forward,
- 6:29Speaker 6: they agree to a new ten year deal for fifteen
- 6:32Speaker 6: billion dollars for the Power fives to split for their players.
- 6:35Speaker 6: So each each school, I think is two hundred and
- 6:37Speaker 6: three hundred million.
- 6:38Speaker 2: What do you mean separate from nil? Does this mean
- 6:40Speaker 2: college can take money from the university and pay them directly.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Well, that it's not take because that's not it's the revenue.
- 6:45Speaker 3: There's reamy of what they.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Make as athletics.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Yes, and so now they're paying their players. So college
- 6:51Speaker 6: is paying their players, and on top of that, they
- 6:52Speaker 6: can also get paid.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Oh that's very different.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And what is going to be a good thing for
- 6:57Speaker 3: the colleges is they now you know, because depending on
- 7:02Speaker 3: when it changed, colleges wouldn't put a jersey out with
- 7:04Speaker 3: the last name on it.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 3: So let's say I'm a running back University of Arkansas
- 7:09Speaker 3: six years ago and I was number thirty four because
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'm power back.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And you got bones in the back of your jersey.
- 7:14Speaker 3: No fullback, No, I'm a running back like Sean Alexander.
- 7:17Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, I go hard. But they wouldn't sell
- 7:20Speaker 3: the jersey with the name on the back, but they
- 7:22Speaker 3: would sell the number. And where people would get upset
- 7:24Speaker 3: about that is they're like, you're basically selling that player, yeah,
- 7:27Speaker 3: and they're like, no, we own the number in the
- 7:29Speaker 3: team name. But they can probably sell the player names
- 7:32Speaker 3: now and make more money to pay the players more.
- 7:35Speaker 3: But what this is going to also allow is because
- 7:37Speaker 3: it's going to take nil and any sort.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Of nil.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Rule making to go through Congress, and it will and
- 7:45Speaker 3: this is the start of there being actual rules and
- 7:49Speaker 3: laws that people will then later break, but so that
- 7:52Speaker 3: a lot of it is above board. And it will
- 7:55Speaker 3: become a bit more fair. So it's just not a
- 7:58Speaker 3: couple of rich guys at one school can make.
- 8:02Speaker 1: All the money.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Yeah, because unless you're making money on nil right now,
- 8:06Speaker 6: as like you know, a main face of that program,
- 8:08Speaker 6: you're not making any money. So like the starting left
- 8:11Speaker 6: guard isn't making any money really correct, you know?
- 8:13Speaker 4: So now he can make money.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Way less because you have to think they have twenty
- 8:17Speaker 3: two starters. Yeah, and unless you're a quarterback or a
- 8:22Speaker 3: crazy good wide receiver occasionally a running back.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Running backs have been devalued a bit, like.
- 8:26Speaker 3: You're not making the big money where a basketball player.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I think the kid that just went to Washington just
- 8:30Speaker 3: made two million bucks. As in Io it was two
- 8:32Speaker 3: million dollars. So basketball it's one out of five and
- 8:35Speaker 3: the program makes less, but the players are worth more yep,
- 8:37Speaker 3: because there are far fewer players needed and if you're
- 8:41Speaker 3: that much more dynamic, you're worth that much more.
- 8:43Speaker 2: And this is all sport, right like, so the swimmer
- 8:45Speaker 2: can get some money.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Too, But it's and this is where it gets tricky again.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It's revenue going to the school, but then do they
- 8:52Speaker 3: break it off in revenue that's made by the sport
- 8:54Speaker 3: because if you do that, swimming is not going to
- 8:57Speaker 3: get any money. Yeah, However, like Oklahoma softball, they make money.
- 9:02Speaker 3: They're one of the few softball programs that make money,
- 9:06Speaker 3: so those players would get money from the school. And
- 9:08Speaker 3: there already were collectives to the school. All this to say,
- 9:12Speaker 3: we don't know anything about it. And also we I'm
- 9:16Speaker 3: speaking for all of us because I often do that
- 9:18Speaker 3: we like it because it will then be the framework
- 9:22Speaker 3: to some sort of structure in college athletics.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's starting in twenty twenty five, so they
- 9:28Speaker 6: still need to fine tune some things, but twenty five.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Also, just for all of you old schoolers that are like,
- 9:34Speaker 3: I don't think college athletes should get paid, Like, I
- 9:38Speaker 3: hear you. But the same person said many years ago
- 9:41Speaker 3: when it was controversial, I don't think athletes should be
- 9:44Speaker 3: able to receive a free scholarship because they can run fast.
- 9:46Speaker 3: They should just go play for the It's the same thing.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It's when people go this ain't country music anymore. It's
- 9:52Speaker 3: the same thing.
- 9:53Speaker 4: It's just changing lockal So it was.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I won't say it's widespread controversy when athletes started to
- 10:00Speaker 3: get scholarships, but because there wasn't social media. But imagine
- 10:04Speaker 3: back in the fifties, my model, my model t don't work,
- 10:08Speaker 3: and now kids are getting a free education to run fast.
- 10:12Speaker 1: They're ruin in sports.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So okay, boom. That's what we know about that, which
- 10:16Speaker 3: is very little, but we know that it's I think it's.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Gonna help overall.
- 10:19Speaker 3: But and also, I can't be a hater toward rich
- 10:21Speaker 3: people coming in and buying stuff because we just bought
- 10:24Speaker 3: John Caliperio Arkansas.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's a rich guy, John Tilan.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's that's how the game works. Now I do.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'm more in a saying Louis Cardinal's hat, but it's
- 10:33Speaker 3: not a Cardinal's hat. See, here's the thing I.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Had to play this. I like how your brain works. Rategically.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I am always going to be absolutely respectful to the
- 10:42Speaker 3: places that have us, because I'm never going to show
- 10:46Speaker 3: up and be like, hey, thank you for having us
- 10:47Speaker 3: and letting us work with your team and go inside
- 10:49Speaker 3: the organization and I'm gonna.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Wear another team stuff.
- 10:54Speaker 3: So what I did is I web a red I
- 10:55Speaker 3: love red and it just has stl and from the surf.
- 11:00Speaker 3: But she would go that guy as a Cardinals fans, sure,
- 11:02Speaker 3: but to me, it says I like Saint Louis and
- 11:05Speaker 3: I like red.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Perfect man. Everyone wins. Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 6: When I saw you with that this morning, when I
- 11:10Speaker 6: came outside and you had that, and I was like, oh,
- 11:12Speaker 6: he's in.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Now he's bought in.
- 11:14Speaker 3: But am I?
- 11:15Speaker 1: I am?
- 11:15Speaker 2: And it's not your traditional Saint Louis Cardinals sign. It's
- 11:19Speaker 2: not the STL.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Okay, so his eddie's different.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, this is St. Louis Cardinals.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Okay, that just says the letters STL not mixed together
- 11:27Speaker 2: like the logo s t L written out.
- 11:29Speaker 3: My and I'd like to give some some inspiration. My
- 11:33Speaker 3: wife won't wear Arkansas razor By stuff and I don't
- 11:35Speaker 3: make her. I don't want it to and I don't
- 11:36Speaker 3: wear Oklahoma stuff. We respect each other's teams and it's
- 11:39Speaker 3: cool we root for the other teams. However, when she
- 11:41Speaker 3: goes to Arkansas stuff, she wears a hat that says
- 11:43Speaker 3: f a Y for Faytue. It's red, it's his faeteville.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Is that the airport code?
- 11:48Speaker 3: No, it's just fable where the school is, ok it's
- 11:51Speaker 3: xcellenty international fa y. So she's like, look, if people
- 11:55Speaker 3: see this they see him wearing like a Faetteville hat
- 11:57Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, possibly she's an Probably she's a
- 12:00Speaker 3: Arkansas fan, so she's not. I'm going against it, but
- 12:04Speaker 3: I won't wear anything with a hog now. In the
- 12:07Speaker 3: same respect, when I go watch Oklahoma softball, which I
- 12:11Speaker 3: have a couple national championship, a couple of college World
- 12:12Speaker 3: Series is, I would.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Wear a Gaso shirt. Correct.
- 12:16Speaker 2: So I have my shress is gas supporting coach, So
- 12:19Speaker 2: Patty Gaso the head coach there, close to basically family,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and so I wear that, but I don't wear anything
- 12:24Speaker 2: with Oklahoma on it.
- 12:25Speaker 3: What was weird was the Oklahoma Athletic program social media
- 12:30Speaker 3: team came up to me and said, hey, would you record.
- 12:32Speaker 1: A video for us?
- 12:33Speaker 3: Since you're at the game, we think it's kind of
- 12:34Speaker 3: cool you're here.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I struggle with that.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I struggle with.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That, so I got on.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I didn't like to sell me video, and I was like,
- 12:42Speaker 3: what's up, guys, Bobby Bones, I'm at the college Softball
- 12:44Speaker 3: World Series. Let's go Patty Gasso. There's always a way
- 12:49Speaker 3: to strategically be full of crap, and right now I'm
- 12:53Speaker 3: strategically full of crap because I have my Cardinals to
- 12:55Speaker 3: most people had, but it's really not.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Let me ask you this though, Yes, while we're at
- 13:00Speaker 2: the game tonight and the Cubs say the Cubs hit
- 13:04Speaker 2: a home run, I won't, I won't. I won't read
- 13:08Speaker 2: inside though you're like, oh, I'm reading.
- 13:10Speaker 3: The five hundred right now, And i watch parts of
- 13:16Speaker 3: most games, even if it's like an inne or two,
- 13:19Speaker 3: just to keep up. Not most, maybe sixty percent of
- 13:21Speaker 3: the games they play. It you have the ticket or
- 13:24Speaker 3: what is that called MLB.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Extra innings Extra innings.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's a lot of the games that though
- 13:30Speaker 3: we're all packaged YouTube, TV or ESPN, you can catch
- 13:33Speaker 3: them most of the.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Games, except on regional games, which is Cincinnati and Braves
- 13:38Speaker 2: for us. We don't get Reds or Braves in Nashville.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Yeah, anytime the Braves, I can't watch it.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Did you know that? From so?
- 13:45Speaker 3: What I heard was this could be I want to
- 13:47Speaker 3: say this for legal reasons. This can be completely wrong.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Just here.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Save absolutely could be the wrongest thing I've ever said
- 13:54Speaker 3: in my life. No, boy, that the Braves did not
- 13:56Speaker 3: want Nashville to get a baseball team, and they were
- 13:58Speaker 3: claiming we were taking their fans.
- 14:00Speaker 1: If we did, and this is part of their region,
- 14:02Speaker 1: which is bizarre.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I would have never thought that Atlanta would be part
- 14:05Speaker 2: of Nashville's region, But I guess that is.
- 14:07Speaker 3: The closest or Nashville be part of Atlanta's region.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Fans are Brais fans in Nashville, I think, is that right?
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah? Probably because it's the closest team.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 6: Like and like a lot of they come from Georgia,
- 14:19Speaker 6: they come from all over around the South.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I could also a lot of people in Kentucky are
- 14:23Speaker 3: Reds fans. I guess Kentucky and Cincinnati right there. Oh yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 3: so I get it. But also Nashville has its own
- 14:29Speaker 3: professional sports teams already, yeah, with the Titans in the NFL,
- 14:32Speaker 3: with the Predators, So.
- 14:33Speaker 1: We deserve our own baseball team. Sure, I agree.
- 14:36Speaker 3: So I just heard that.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I just heard that. Don't know that.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, So there's a couple of things. I don't
- 14:44Speaker 3: want to take a break quite yet. I do get
- 14:45Speaker 3: to talking about Caitlin Clark. We also talked about the
- 14:49Speaker 3: Minnesota and that the game, that Western game, yeah, which
- 14:53Speaker 3: is also.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I guess game tonight. Yeah tonight.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Do you want to talk about Game one, last night Celtics,
- 14:58Speaker 3: Last night Celtics.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it was beautiful, Pacers, it was beautiful, exactly what
- 15:02Speaker 2: you wanted to see Kevin. Any bets at all, No,
- 15:04Speaker 2: because you hit you did not hit the Tatum over
- 15:08Speaker 2: Tatum thirty.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I think Tatum over thirty thirty point five, and he
- 15:11Speaker 3: had fifteen points in the fourth quarter at one point.
- 15:12Speaker 1: No, but he ended up going with like twenty four.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I think I hit late.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Yeah, he got a lot of points in the fourth quarter,
- 15:18Speaker 6: one of the garbage time. But Haliburton left again and
- 15:21Speaker 6: he was out.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And got hurt. Did you see the injury, Kevin.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Yeah, he like kicked his foot out to try to
- 15:25Speaker 6: block a passed and stretched in his hamstring, which you
- 15:29Speaker 6: already missed ten games earlier this year with that same handscreing.
- 15:32Speaker 2: We were there when he were when he injured that.
- 15:34Speaker 4: We were together for both of those.
- 15:36Speaker 2: And that was against the Celtics being together. If you're
- 15:39Speaker 2: watching on TV, what do you mean we already go
- 15:41Speaker 2: together though, oh us Yeah, Caliburton, Halliburton.
- 15:47Speaker 1: No.
- 15:47Speaker 2: The first one we were actually at, I was like,
- 15:48Speaker 2: that's not the same guy, that same room, dude.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Yeah, No, And ever since I mean he went out
- 15:53Speaker 6: in the what last half of the third quarter and
- 15:56Speaker 6: then the fourth quarter. It was just to be down
- 15:57Speaker 6: from there. They just the Pacers were just there. Their
- 16:00Speaker 6: win was out.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I wonder if he aggravated the same hamstring.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I think it was. I hit bed from what Woes said.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Here's what I did.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I missed Pacers plus nine because they got beat by fifteen.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I did. I bet seventy bucks on Miles Turner over
- 16:15Speaker 3: one point five to three pointers. He did hit two,
- 16:18Speaker 3: he hit two. Oice I lost seventy five bucks on
- 16:21Speaker 3: Jason Tatum oh Man over thirty and a half.
- 16:24Speaker 1: You did a single bet on that?
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I lost Miles Turner fifty bucks over sixteen
- 16:32Speaker 3: and a half points. I hit Kaitlyn Clark nineteen over that,
- 16:37Speaker 3: so I guess I.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Only won one ft.
- 16:40Speaker 3: You play hit four hundred dollars Kaitlin Clark bed. I'll
- 16:43Speaker 3: say this too, and you hear the Kaylin Clark stuff
- 16:44Speaker 3: in a second. I screenshot this. Kaitlin Clark through five games,
- 16:50Speaker 3: eighteen points, almost five rebounds, almost exists, and she's the
- 16:54Speaker 3: There's only her and one other player that's in the
- 16:58Speaker 3: top fifteen in both those categories only one of the players.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I don't know who the player is. I don't care
- 17:02Speaker 3: about anybody else in the league except Rebecca Lobo unless
- 17:05Speaker 3: she comes back. And its only because I know her name.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I did see is it Sabrinascuh? Yeah?
- 17:10Speaker 3: She shoots like crazy?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah she was the I saw her face. I'm like,
- 17:13Speaker 2: yeah she was.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I remember that in Oregon and she yes.
- 17:17Speaker 3: And she's shot against Steph this year in the three
- 17:18Speaker 3: point Oh yeah, they did one on one. Yeah, okay.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Do you want to go to the Scotty Scheffler situation.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Oh so, since we've.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Spoken last, we've now seen the video of the Scottie
- 17:28Speaker 3: Scheffler free.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Scottie Scheffler free. All right, that's right, but I do not.
- 17:33Speaker 3: See as right in the second the Chargers have been dropped.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I have not seen that yet.
- 17:36Speaker 3: No, okay, So with Scottie Scheffler, you know the story
- 17:41Speaker 3: he's going in. He drives around, cop says don't cop says.
- 17:44Speaker 1: He got dragged whatever.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Scotty Suffer, goes to jail, comes out, shoots six.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Under that round.
- 17:48Speaker 3: He said he got dragged like thirty feet. Yeah, I
- 17:50Speaker 3: think even that's I think he's said fifteen feet maybe okay,
- 17:53Speaker 3: maybe maybe maybe not, don't know.
- 17:54Speaker 1: For some reason, thirty in my head.
- 17:56Speaker 3: So on top of that, I think he lost the
- 18:00Speaker 3: tournament because of that situation.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Absolutely it was.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Dude, he's so tired because the dress the day he
- 18:06Speaker 3: went to jail, you're working on adrenaline.
- 18:08Speaker 1: The day after, you're exhausted, and he shot. I think
- 18:10Speaker 1: he went like plus he was plus.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Thirty plus fot that sixty six. That was the day
- 18:16Speaker 2: of That's what and that's what Bones is saying. You do,
- 18:17Speaker 2: you're fired up at that point.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Next day you're tired, yes, exactly.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So the video comes out, and you know, because like jail,
- 18:22Speaker 2: you got, Yeah, it takes it out of you.
- 18:25Speaker 3: So the neck the camera is not really super close,
- 18:30Speaker 3: but you can still see everything happening. The cop does
- 18:32Speaker 3: not get dragged at all. The cop basically runs up,
- 18:36Speaker 3: slams hits on the window twice.
- 18:38Speaker 1: He yelled. I guess if yelling was considered dragged that's
- 18:41Speaker 1: not though.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Because the whole time was yelling stocks.
- 18:44Speaker 1: He does not get dragged. That's bizarre.
- 18:48Speaker 3: And he pops the window twice. This fifth pulls Scheffler
- 18:51Speaker 3: and arrests him. I am so pro Scheffler. After watching
- 18:55Speaker 3: the video, Yep, that was really ridict and I'm very
- 19:00Speaker 3: pro law enforcement until I see that they do something
- 19:03Speaker 3: like this and it's I think it's specific.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Rotten people in there.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Yes, Sheffler did nothing wrong. He nobody got dragged. I
- 19:14Speaker 3: would even say maybe Sheffler didn't even hear him say stump,
- 19:17Speaker 3: because he only went up like stop and.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Once he realized that, you could tell once he realized
- 19:22Speaker 6: this guy was trying to stop him, like oh shoot, or.
- 19:24Speaker 3: That this guy was even yeah, yeah too. So we've
- 19:28Speaker 3: seen video footage now that further shows that Scottie Scheffler
- 19:33Speaker 3: is still the chill dude we thought he was.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yes, one good, good dude that we thought he was.
- 19:37Speaker 3: And when this comes out and it turns out they
- 19:39Speaker 3: drop the charges, he's Scheffler won't do it, but.
- 19:42Speaker 1: He gets in Louisville PD for he did not win.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I mean, they're definitely shaking right now. I saw the chief.
- 19:47Speaker 2: The chief is now turning the investigation onto that officer.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Versus Well, the problem was he didn't have his body
- 19:53Speaker 3: cam on h how convenient turns out there's a good
- 19:58Speaker 3: reason that even if he did, he probably hit that
- 20:01Speaker 3: control a which and.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Then delete delete.
- 20:06Speaker 3: So Scotti Scheffler, It's crazy, man.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 20:09Speaker 4: The cool thing is though he still got a mug
- 20:11Speaker 4: shot out of it.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Yeah, No matter what people his like, it's a good
- 20:15Speaker 6: mug shot. Usually you're you know, you look at that
- 20:17Speaker 6: and you're.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Like, oh, shoot, that was a bad time. But you're like,
- 20:19Speaker 4: that's epic.
- 20:20Speaker 3: It would be cool to have a mug shot with
- 20:22Speaker 3: no charge. Yeah, you did nothing wrong. Yes, and always
- 20:24Speaker 3: you're just like, what up?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Mother?
- 20:26Speaker 2: Can you make T shirts out of it?
- 20:28Speaker 1: Hey?
- 20:29Speaker 2: But also to like you, I think back now seeing
- 20:31Speaker 2: all this stuff, you think back at the press conference
- 20:33Speaker 2: and how cool he was about it, and just how
- 20:35Speaker 2: he's stuck with you know, is a big misunderstanding.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Uh, that's just it's not what I'm dealing with now.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm focusing on the match.
- 20:42Speaker 2: He's even nicer, even nicer because at that point you're
- 20:44Speaker 2: just like, dude, I didn't do crap.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That would be me on the stand. Go back and
- 20:48Speaker 1: look at video.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Camera somewhere around this. Yeah, Okay, we're going to take
- 20:53Speaker 3: a break. We're gonna come back. We'll do another current segment.
- 20:57Speaker 3: We'll then pitch to the old segment talking about Dallas
- 21:00Speaker 3: and Minnesota and Caitlin Clark next week, Jim Edmonds. Let's
- 21:06Speaker 3: do Jim Mdmons next week. Okay, yeah, because I mean
- 21:09Speaker 3: we're here. Let's get it on next week. Next week,
- 21:10Speaker 3: Jim Dmons, and we'll take a quick break. It's very sunny,
- 21:16Speaker 3: and if it wasn't for a little bit of wind,
- 21:18Speaker 3: I think we'll be in trouble. We're sitting right by
- 21:20Speaker 3: the Saint Louis Cardinals logo. That's right next to like
- 21:25Speaker 3: a fake field where there's a little bit of carf
- 21:29Speaker 3: green tarpet, carpet. Yeah, yeah, it's her fun concrete.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, there's no patting underneathing or anything.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I would.
- 21:35Speaker 3: It's really hot here. For some reason, we decided aesthetics
- 21:40Speaker 3: over comfortability. Correct, correct, the look is more important. I
- 21:45Speaker 3: like to run by you guys an idea I have.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I have it just in time. Yesterday I screwed up.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I think it would be a fun show. And I
- 21:54Speaker 3: think I've said it on this before. To go to
- 21:55Speaker 3: old school baseball players who are really cool, really great,
- 21:58Speaker 3: like at Jim Edmonds and take an open a box
- 22:00Speaker 3: of cards from what he played and just flipped through
- 22:03Speaker 3: and see if he has any stories about each guy.
- 22:04Speaker 1: That would have been a cool shot. Wish we'd have
- 22:06Speaker 1: done that.
- 22:06Speaker 3: I only remembered it as we were pulling into the
- 22:08Speaker 3: yard of Jim Edmonds. I was like, oh god, the way,
- 22:11Speaker 3: the perfect opportunity. By the way, he's got eight.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Gold gloves, I know, and we touched it.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Chilling.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Did you touch him? Boy?
- 22:18Speaker 2: I don't what's difference because it's not real. It's it's
- 22:21Speaker 2: not a trophy. It's an actual, real glove that's golden.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Wow. I wish what are it? Dude?
- 22:25Speaker 4: But you do you want to try it on?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I did, But it was a real glove.
- 22:29Speaker 2: It's a real glove, thought and just painted gold. Oh so,
- 22:33Speaker 2: and by the way, it's like a legit. Yeah, and
- 22:35Speaker 2: you excep me and he made We looked at that.
- 22:36Speaker 2: We made like sixty seventy million dollars. So obviously he
- 22:39Speaker 2: has a great Great.
- 22:40Speaker 4: House World series.
- 22:41Speaker 3: And down in the bottom he's got two bowling alley lanes. Yes,
- 22:45Speaker 3: all these video games. He's got a Papa Shot game.
- 22:48Speaker 3: He's got a bunch of jerseys. We went into like
- 22:50Speaker 3: his uh his garage base storage basement where he had
- 22:55Speaker 3: every jersey he's ever played with and on, which is cool.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It's cool that he saved all that stuff because I
- 23:01Speaker 2: don't think I think a lot of people don't save stuff.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Like that he had. And this is gonna be the idea.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Other idea that I came up with you some time.
- 23:06Speaker 3: He had stuff that people had also given him.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Through the years.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he had even when he played in like the
- 23:13Speaker 3: Pepsi softball tournament. He kept those jerseys and he was
- 23:17Speaker 3: a little bitter the fact that they traded him one year.
- 23:19Speaker 3: So we had to play for both sides of tho. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 3: so in sports, in football we see it a lot.
- 23:25Speaker 3: In basketball, we see it somewhere after the game they
- 23:27Speaker 3: both trade jerseys and they hold him up and they're like,
- 23:30Speaker 3: look at this. And Jim Edmon's had some pool host
- 23:32Speaker 3: cleats that poolosts have given him. He had like a
- 23:34Speaker 3: McGuire jersey that Martin McGuire had given him. And so
- 23:38Speaker 3: it would be cool to go into these athletes. And
- 23:40Speaker 3: my thought was, we're supposed to if scheduled, if something
- 23:44Speaker 3: doesn't happen. Talk to Paul Goldschmidt today, cardinal superstar, and
- 23:48Speaker 3: obviously I'm not gonna give him to the baseball but
- 23:50Speaker 3: at the end of the interview, I'm gonna ask if
- 23:53Speaker 3: we can trade stuff, and I'm gonna trade him on
- 23:54Speaker 3: microphone for something of his.
- 23:56Speaker 1: That's an awesome.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Idea because I've always thought that because like you know,
- 24:00Speaker 2: we go places and reads.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Always asking for autograph reads out of control. It makes
- 24:03Speaker 1: us look bad.
- 24:04Speaker 3: They get to baseball like read like opens up. He
- 24:08Speaker 3: doesn't even wear a trench coat, but he wears one
- 24:10Speaker 3: of these, so we can open it up and have
- 24:11Speaker 3: him signed everything.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I just feel like all these places that we go to,
- 24:15Speaker 2: they're just like, hey, here's this, take this, take this,
- 24:17Speaker 2: and we come back with a lot of really cool stuff,
- 24:18Speaker 2: but we don't ever give him anything.
- 24:19Speaker 3: So this is awesome and it's also that culture of
- 24:22Speaker 3: trade something yea. So if we like vibe with whom
- 24:26Speaker 3: if Goldman, hey, how much how much of these microphones?
- 24:28Speaker 2: They're not cheap, but can we give him like a replica?
- 24:31Speaker 2: We don't have any, I asked read. I was like,
- 24:33Speaker 2: because I had to buy.
- 24:33Speaker 3: All this and I was like, how much of these microphones?
- 24:36Speaker 3: They told me, and I said, okay, here's I'm gonna
- 24:37Speaker 3: do it.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Paul Golschman's cool or what do you mean if he's cool, Like,
- 24:41Speaker 6: what if he's not?
- 24:42Speaker 3: No, No, he might. There's a difference in like getting
- 24:46Speaker 3: ready for a game cool because you're focused and maybe
- 24:48Speaker 3: you're not like jovial, and different athletes have different personalities
- 24:52Speaker 3: on game day, so I have to respect that. Going
- 24:54Speaker 3: to talk to whomever we talk to. But I'm gonna
- 24:56Speaker 3: say I don't really have anything.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Sports y or jersey.
- 25:00Speaker 3: But what I'd like to just trade you one of
- 25:02Speaker 3: my things, personal things for one of your personal things.
- 25:04Speaker 3: So I will try. I will give him my mic
- 25:05Speaker 3: I'll just say him my microphone off my stand.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome.
- 25:08Speaker 3: We need to get a sharpie, like a gold sharpie,
- 25:10Speaker 3: and I'll sign the microphone and give it to him
- 25:12Speaker 3: and then hopefully he gives me something awesome of his Yeah.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Yeah, what if he's like, here's my hat?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that kind of sucks.
- 25:19Speaker 1: What would be awesome to be like a bat?
- 25:22Speaker 3: I don't know that anything. I think anything would be cool. Honestly,
- 25:25Speaker 3: it's for the bit. A pair of cleats would be
- 25:28Speaker 3: cool if he signed the lowest, like a ball would
- 25:33Speaker 3: be the low lowest helm, Oh, his helmet, helmet would
- 25:35Speaker 3: be cool.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Let let's let's Okay, on the bottom, I don't see
- 25:40Speaker 2: a lot of people with the helmets, dude, So.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Also can we still say.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't either.
- 25:45Speaker 3: We're talking about this never even thought, Hey, can you
- 25:47Speaker 3: would you look up and see if people get canceled for.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Talking about what's that for that? Yeah?
- 25:51Speaker 3: Go to will this get you canceled? Dot com? That's
- 25:55Speaker 3: not a real sight, kse, But see if see if
- 25:57Speaker 3: we can still talk about not being canceled.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Oh boy? So on the and we'll.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Bleep every single time we hit I hope if we
- 26:05Speaker 3: decide it's cancelable.
- 26:07Speaker 1: So stop saying that, dude.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Okay, so we're not able to use that's saying anymore.
- 26:13Speaker 3: We've now bleeped it. But what we were saying the
- 26:14Speaker 3: whole time is something that rhymes with botom pole.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Pole Hey, and we can rank them. We'll do a
- 26:20Speaker 2: ranking system of.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Lowest to coolest. I think a baseball would be the lowest.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Sure it's still cool, but the lowest because it's like,
- 26:29Speaker 1: that's kind.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Of what you do always.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Everybody's got a baseball?
- 26:32Speaker 3: And how often do you get a radio Hall of
- 26:34Speaker 3: Famers microphone?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Never? Right?
- 26:36Speaker 3: Youngest remember ever put in the Radio Hall of Fame microphone. Okay,
- 26:40Speaker 3: baseball be lowest. I think a batting glove would be
- 26:43Speaker 3: right above a baseball like still pretty low, Like you
- 26:46Speaker 3: didn't really try that hard, but we'll accept it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I think hat next.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Oh, I think hats before batting glove?
- 26:52Speaker 6: You do, I think, yeah, but you can get a
- 26:56Speaker 6: hat anywhere, but it's his hat, but you can't get
- 26:58Speaker 6: a batting like a batting you can only get that
- 27:01Speaker 6: in baseball.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Right here, that's true. We bought we bought some. Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 1: but but it's gonna be Paul's hat.
- 27:08Speaker 3: But we're gonna vote. I'm gonna vote hat better than
- 27:10Speaker 3: bating glove. I agree, whatever, lose one ball batting glove.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I have a different No, we don't say that word.
- 27:18Speaker 3: We didn't have a rhyme with that leap it's dumbo. Yeah, okay,
- 27:22Speaker 3: and then well then okay, jersey Jersey be awesome, Jersey
- 27:28Speaker 3: be awesome. Okay, where do we rank those things? Like
- 27:30Speaker 3: a jersey, a bat, a helmet, a glove.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I never see helmet. I see cleats,
- 27:36Speaker 2: but I never see a baseball helmet.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I do.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I've got a mini Paul got helmet him sign I'm
- 27:41Speaker 3: talking about like a player gave it to you.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so their helmet.
- 27:46Speaker 3: What if he gives me a glove, is it better
- 27:47Speaker 3: than helmet?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd say okay, because they don't give their gloves away. Dude.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Ever, what if he gives is what about cleats to
- 27:56Speaker 3: cleats versus helmet?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Which is better? I bet no?
- 27:59Speaker 4: I said the helmet helmet.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Okay, well you guys win.
- 28:02Speaker 2: We're voting, so then so and we're we're assuming game
- 28:05Speaker 2: warn right, so this is your game, this is your
- 28:06Speaker 2: game warn microphone? Yeah yeah, or it's like in his
- 28:09Speaker 2: locker or something.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, So cleats is next.
- 28:12Speaker 1: As we climb up.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Right, Yes, cleats are awesome. Okay, then helmet?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Or is jersey better than helmet?
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yes?
- 28:22Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, I think jersey is less than helmet,
- 28:24Speaker 2: So I go jersey next.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Okay, what do you think I would have thought jersey
- 28:27Speaker 3: was better than helmet? But I can be swayed on
- 28:29Speaker 3: this one.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I think helmets just unique.
- 28:32Speaker 2: A baseball bat in helmet, Okay, climbing climbing up the rankings,
- 28:37Speaker 2: So we go cleats, then jersey, then helmet, then glove.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Wait wait wait, where's bat did we skip over bat. No,
- 28:45Speaker 3: I think I think bad is not as cool as Jersey, right,
- 28:48Speaker 3: I think bad is not as cool as cleats. I
- 28:51Speaker 3: think bat is the is the least of all the
- 28:53Speaker 3: new ones.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Actually, I think hear me out, I think bat is
- 28:56Speaker 2: better than cleat's.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Oh I don't.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I think cleats because it's a specific to him.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Custom, A hundred bats. I bet he has hundreds of cleats.
- 29:08Speaker 4: You said gym yesterday.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Okay, which is better a bat or cleats?
- 29:12Speaker 1: I think better? Okay, then you can have it.
- 29:15Speaker 3: So it's cleats, then bat?
- 29:18Speaker 1: And then where what was what do we hill? Helmet?
- 29:24Speaker 1: It's glove?
- 29:24Speaker 3: The number one?
- 29:25Speaker 1: I think gloves of one, number one, because they do
- 29:26Speaker 1: not give.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Their gloves away because their personal.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's their glove, it's one sworn in.
- 29:31Speaker 3: It's like the even not their main glove.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Is cool.
- 29:34Speaker 3: If he has like a glove, he doesn't hardly ever use, that,
- 29:36Speaker 3: says Goldschmidt. That's number one.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah, is there anything like a top that let's think
- 29:41Speaker 2: about that.
- 29:42Speaker 3: There'll be anything whole uniform and the whole uniform. Is
- 29:46Speaker 3: there anything that would be cooler that he would probably
- 29:50Speaker 3: give than our number one? Right now?
- 29:55Speaker 4: What is a what if he gave you a base? Well,
- 29:59Speaker 4: that's that's it's not his Well, I'm just saying, I.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Mean, he can't do Has he ever slid into it?
- 30:03Speaker 3: Did he guarded?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Was he played first on top of it? He can't
- 30:06Speaker 1: do that though.
- 30:06Speaker 2: He can't grab a base like Ricky Henderson is the
- 30:09Speaker 2: only dude that I saw like steel bases and they so.
- 30:12Speaker 1: It is number one going to be glove? I think,
- 30:14Speaker 1: so what hey, what about what about pads?
- 30:17Speaker 5: No?
- 30:17Speaker 2: No, okay, like you know how they have elbow pads? Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 2: oh dude, I just thought of this.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Go ahead, the the freaking myth that they wear when
- 30:25Speaker 3: they slide.
- 30:28Speaker 2: No, okay, all right, okay, So I think that's our
- 30:31Speaker 2: that's our number one and our rankings.
- 30:33Speaker 3: And here it is for official. Number one is if
- 30:37Speaker 3: Paul Goldschmidt gives us.
- 30:38Speaker 1: His glove, that's awesome.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Number two is if Paul Goldsman gives us his helmet.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Number three is if Paul Goldschmate gives us his bat.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Yes.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Number four is if Paul Goldmate gives us his cleats.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Number five is if Paul Goldman gives us his jersey. Yes.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Number six is if Paul Goldschmidt gives us his batting gloves, right, yes,
- 31:08Speaker 3: and seven is baseball? Yeah that's what Hey, good job though, dude, Yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 3: I know. I was like, wait, sure, so seven is good?
- 31:18Speaker 1: Who cares?
- 31:19Speaker 3: It's in there somewhere.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Hey, you heard it just from.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Ball and basically the same thing.
- 31:22Speaker 3: No, that's better than ball, it is. But you know
- 31:25Speaker 3: I had this better than ball than batting glove than
- 31:27Speaker 3: had in my mind.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Okay, when you when you.
- 31:29Speaker 2: See a baseball player and they're like, let me get
- 31:30Speaker 2: you a ball, like that's the first thing.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 31:35Speaker 1: It's cool. Don't get me. All these things are cool.
- 31:37Speaker 3: What's radio in your opinion? What's the best? Glove's the best?
- 31:41Speaker 3: You think I've never seen somebody with the glove like.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Never never, are just very personal.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Multiple, I don't know what you say. Number one is glove? Okay, okay,
- 31:55Speaker 3: what's number two in you guys' mind? You guys both
- 31:58Speaker 3: go jersey. I think jersey's better than batting than helm helmet.
- 32:01Speaker 3: But you guys pick helmets were unique. I do you
- 32:04Speaker 3: think that's better than jersey helmet?
- 32:10Speaker 1: You guys are throwing helmet down the list, down the list.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I agree.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 32:14Speaker 3: It's just a hard hat. Yeah, it's a hard unless
- 32:18Speaker 3: it has one of those space.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Protectors some of the players have, like the pine tart
- 32:22Speaker 2: they put on top of you know, so, yeah, that
- 32:23Speaker 2: would be cool about dont no, you can go, you
- 32:28Speaker 2: can go to the donut that they warm up with.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I think that's the team's they just have, like, well,
- 32:35Speaker 3: we may get nothing. That's true, we may not even
- 32:37Speaker 3: talk with gold Schmidt, but that's that's our ranking.
- 32:40Speaker 2: That's funny how you think that way. I'm always just like,
- 32:42Speaker 2: can't wait to see Paul Goldschmidt, and you're like.
- 32:45Speaker 1: We may not meet him.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I've had a lot of letdowns in my life.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Oh boy, don't go down this road. Dark, don't go
- 32:51Speaker 1: down this road.
- 32:52Speaker 3: But also if somebody who takes a lot of big
- 32:55Speaker 3: cuts strikes out a lot, that's nature of the game.
- 32:57Speaker 1: You gotta tell my hitters of all time.
- 32:59Speaker 4: I like what you did there.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Absolutely it turned the greatest home hitters of all time
- 33:04Speaker 3: struck out a lot. Why because they're swinging really hard
- 33:07Speaker 3: And I think I've swung really hard through my career.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Although who's our guy that we saw with there, Reid Uh,
- 33:14Speaker 2: Sammy swifty. I think played in the twenties. He had
- 33:16Speaker 2: a batting average of four hundred. Okay, but who was
- 33:20Speaker 2: two seasons in a row. The plumber not his statues
- 33:23Speaker 2: in the front.
- 33:23Speaker 3: They had to get like a last plumber to come
- 33:24Speaker 3: pittrol c. It's like rec league.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Fill in.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Okay, we're gonna uh do we want to let's take
- 33:32Speaker 3: a break. We will come back when we come back.
- 33:34Speaker 3: We're gonna go to us yesterday. Okay, we're back and
- 33:39Speaker 3: we're in Saint Louis. Obviously we're gonna go to us yesterday.
- 33:41Speaker 3: This is a conversation we had in the studio in
- 33:43Speaker 3: Nashville before we flew out to Saint Louis.
- 33:46Speaker 1: All right, recording this part of the show Thursday.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Last night, I almost bought the w NBA Sunday ticket.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Oh my god, No I didn't.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 34:00Speaker 3: But the game wasn't on any television. I looked, because
- 34:04Speaker 3: I have ESPN plus, I watched.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Everything on my app.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Nothing, I have a YouTube, TV, nothing. I could not
- 34:09Speaker 3: find the game. It was the Seattle Super Liberty or
- 34:12Speaker 3: whatever storm Yep versus the Caitlin Clarks right in the
- 34:16Speaker 3: fever Yes, and I could not find it anywhere, And
- 34:20Speaker 3: I had bet four hundred bucks on Kaitlyn Clark over
- 34:23Speaker 3: nineteen and a half and she hit it, scored twenty.
- 34:26Speaker 5: One year fully invested.
- 34:27Speaker 1: She went twenty one, seven and seven.
- 34:30Speaker 3: And so I'm watching the game cast and everybody's been
- 34:35Speaker 3: like that before, where you can't get it, so you
- 34:37Speaker 3: have to watch every play updated with a little picture.
- 34:39Speaker 3: We've all been in that place. Basketball, baseball doesn't matter.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Football even you're watching the little cartoon and it's like dead,
- 34:47Speaker 3: I throw it's.
- 34:48Speaker 1: For eight yards, especially you're gambling like yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 3: And then they mess up and it's like thirty two
- 34:51Speaker 3: yard loss on penalty and you're like wait what and
- 34:53Speaker 3: then they catch up.
- 34:54Speaker 1: But the most stressful is baseball.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Whenever it so's the cause like it's like the green
- 34:59Speaker 2: is a stride or the red a strike, and the
- 35:01Speaker 2: game is a ball or something, and then it goes
- 35:03Speaker 2: yellow and that means it's in play.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Oh is that what it is? And you're just like waiting,
- 35:07Speaker 1: what did it do? Fly bet? That's a crazy one
- 35:10Speaker 1: when you have to wait, I play and you.
- 35:12Speaker 5: See the ball like tail off.
- 35:14Speaker 4: And you're like, oh, where's it going home run?
- 35:17Speaker 1: So that's what I bet last night.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I bet I think four hundred bucks on her over
- 35:22Speaker 3: nineteen and a half and she didn't hit it till late.
- 35:24Speaker 3: She played a much better second half according to the gamecast.
- 35:27Speaker 3: She didn't play that well the first half. But they
- 35:30Speaker 3: almost won the game last night. I think they lost
- 35:32Speaker 3: by two.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah at the end, how long is this going to last?
- 35:36Speaker 3: What part until people shut up about it? But I
- 35:39Speaker 3: just get so irritated.
- 35:40Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that it's her. It
- 35:42Speaker 1: does matter that it's her.
- 35:43Speaker 3: No, it could have been any player coming out of
- 35:46Speaker 3: college that the hole League ganged up on and was like, Wow,
- 35:49Speaker 3: she's nothing, and you're going, no, I'm watching everything transformed
- 35:52Speaker 3: because of this person.
- 35:53Speaker 1: You're just a hater.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I guess I'm naturally drawn to people who have a
- 35:57Speaker 3: lot of haters for no reason. Sure, because I feel
- 35:59Speaker 3: like I got a lot of haters.
- 36:00Speaker 1: For no reason.
- 36:01Speaker 3: But I think it's just because success and doing things different,
- 36:04Speaker 3: completely different, and people be like, we hate how you
- 36:07Speaker 3: do it, No, you just hate you didn't do it,
- 36:10Speaker 3: and you wouldn't wanted to do it the way I did,
- 36:11Speaker 3: the way it was. I would never want anyone to
- 36:13Speaker 3: do it this way. It was entirely difficult. It wasn't
- 36:14Speaker 3: even strategized to fall this way. I made some decisions
- 36:17Speaker 3: as it was going. So I just don't like to
- 36:20Speaker 3: see somebody get all this negative attention when they didn't
- 36:23Speaker 3: do anything to deserve it.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Except when is that American culture or is that just
- 36:27Speaker 2: human nature?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Now?
- 36:28Speaker 3: I've not seen the whole league gang up on Lebron
- 36:31Speaker 3: or Mike Trout or Otani or let's go through the
- 36:35Speaker 3: transcendent athletes. I've not seen the league gang up on
- 36:38Speaker 3: them and not even give them a chance at the
- 36:42Speaker 3: very beginning of their new career.
- 36:44Speaker 6: What about Like I guess Jordan wasn't this big when
- 36:47Speaker 6: he'd come out of hell.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Jordan was not big at all.
- 36:50Speaker 3: He lost a lot.
- 36:51Speaker 5: Because she's so transcendent.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yes, Jordan was not transcendent until he started winning championships.
- 36:57Speaker 3: He would do crazy cool things, but he was not
- 36:59Speaker 3: until he's to win. That only happened when he had
- 37:01Speaker 3: good players around him.
- 37:02Speaker 6: Lebron's got to be the closest right coming out of
- 37:04Speaker 6: high school. How that hype, I remember that hype that
- 37:06Speaker 6: was before social media.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Definitely Tiger too, but people love.
- 37:09Speaker 3: It and with no social media, it wasn't as hardcore
- 37:12Speaker 3: because they're only like four outlets to hear criticism or not.
- 37:15Speaker 3: This is a twenty four hour news cycle on every
- 37:17Speaker 3: platform all the time, and other players at I saw
- 37:22Speaker 3: Charles Barkley going on going on it yesterday and he
- 37:25Speaker 3: was like, you guys are out of your mind. Why
- 37:26Speaker 3: are you hating on her? She's the reason you get
- 37:28Speaker 3: private planes? He went heart Lebron did the same thing
- 37:31Speaker 3: with JJ Reddick. So I think I'm just invested now
- 37:36Speaker 3: because I don't want to be wrong either. But it's
- 37:40Speaker 3: fun for me. I've never cared about the WNBA didn't really,
- 37:43Speaker 3: I mean I don't. I know a llegis to Iowa
- 37:45Speaker 3: as the school and.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Another twenty point game. Did She's doing great twenty one
- 37:49Speaker 1: seven and seven.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Good for her so as a rookie on a terrible
- 37:53Speaker 3: team where that all they do is try to stop her. Yeah,
- 37:56Speaker 3: I ordered to Kaitlin clark Jerseys first hold on, I did,
- 38:01Speaker 3: Oh boy. I went over to the Fever site too. Yeah. Well,
- 38:05Speaker 3: because if I'm gonna go in, I'm gonna go in hard.
- 38:07Speaker 3: You know me, like home, I do well sort of.
- 38:11Speaker 3: If I do something, I'm gonna go a little overboard
- 38:14Speaker 3: with it. Gotta rather be over than underboard. I don't
- 38:16Speaker 3: mean to do it, but I do. And so I
- 38:19Speaker 3: go and I try to order an official one from
- 38:20Speaker 3: the site and they're sold out and they're like, we did,
- 38:24Speaker 3: we will not have other ones until August, so they're
- 38:26Speaker 3: sold o. I can't look hard jerseys. So then I
- 38:28Speaker 3: go to eBay and I bought one, but I was
- 38:29Speaker 3: like thirty nine bucks and I'm like, well, this can't
- 38:31Speaker 3: be that good on one.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Did somebody just draw it right?
- 38:35Speaker 3: So I bought one on eBay that looked good from
- 38:38Speaker 3: the picture and it was like, or it's a miniature.
- 38:41Speaker 3: I know where I can read to the description. So
- 38:45Speaker 3: I ended up buying two because I went to another
- 38:47Speaker 3: one as well, and I bought one medium one large
- 38:49Speaker 3: because I don't know the women's jerseys they meant for women,
- 38:51Speaker 3: so the sizest thing kind.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Of messed with me.
- 38:53Speaker 5: I didn't even think about that because I.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Didn't either when I bought my first one.
- 38:56Speaker 3: So if I go to eBay and I do purchases, okay,
- 39:01Speaker 3: I got Kaitlin Clark jersey Indiana all stitched blue Navy basketball.
- 39:09Speaker 1: It's got the AT and T on it. It's the
- 39:11Speaker 1: whole sea. Yeah, pictures look good. I mean that looks legit, right.
- 39:16Speaker 1: We'll see when it comes in though.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah, almost everything I order online is definitely not the
- 39:23Speaker 2: size that I think it's gonna be.
- 39:24Speaker 3: No, I know what they sold twenty four so far
- 39:27Speaker 3: and their reviews. When I look at their page, the
- 39:32Speaker 3: reviews are because it tells you a percentage of like
- 39:35Speaker 3: good reviews. I'm still new to eBay in general, which
- 39:39Speaker 3: is crazy, but they have ninety nine point four percent
- 39:42Speaker 3: positive feedback, so okay, I'm gonna believe that. And then
- 39:45Speaker 3: I went and bought a red wind that was large.
- 39:47Speaker 1: What's the red one? The red one is.
- 39:50Speaker 3: It says fever on the front with a Nike and
- 39:52Speaker 3: it says Clark Cool on the back. But there's no
- 39:59Speaker 3: AT and TNT even care about AT.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't want the AD and T.
- 40:02Speaker 3: But it says brand new Kate ln'clock Jersey Youth Men's
- 40:04Speaker 3: women's navy red stitched all size. So I did color
- 40:07Speaker 3: red men youth large. No, you can pick men women.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I thought they just said you okay ladies. Yeah, so
- 40:14Speaker 1: I did that. I have those two coming in.
- 40:16Speaker 5: When did they get in does it say, Well, eBay.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Kind of guesses more than anything, so tracking it says
- 40:25Speaker 3: time placed May, which is this morning. M hmm, it doesn't.
- 40:33Speaker 3: I'm haven't expected date.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Okay.
- 40:36Speaker 2: So anyway, then, how's all your shipping going for uh,
- 40:40Speaker 2: your memorabilia stuff?
- 40:41Speaker 1: It's great, red does it? Dude?
- 40:42Speaker 2: I shipped My wife sold the painting and I went
- 40:44Speaker 2: to go get it shipped.
- 40:45Speaker 1: It was eight hundred dollars.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Oh, that's a huge thing. And also are they the
- 40:50Speaker 3: shipping on eBay? They pay for in the purchase. So
- 40:52Speaker 3: it's like if I sell a sign football like on
- 40:55Speaker 3: my Eba page, I have, like Karen Williams from the
- 40:57Speaker 3: Rams sign football, so he buys up for sixty bucks.
- 40:59Speaker 3: It's sixty bucks plus shipping, which usually like seven eight
- 41:02Speaker 3: bucks for something that small, So it's not built into
- 41:08Speaker 3: the price, but it's built in that they're also going
- 41:09Speaker 3: to pay for shipping, so I'm not out they pay
- 41:11Speaker 3: you had no.
- 41:12Speaker 1: No, we didn't end up painting it.
- 41:14Speaker 2: We took it to FedEx and they're like, all right,
- 41:16Speaker 2: we want this this and want insurance on it, blah
- 41:18Speaker 2: blah blah. Eight hundred dollars what And I guess that's
- 41:22Speaker 2: the most expensive way to ship it because they don't
- 41:25Speaker 2: just rent a.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Car option where they give you the Yeah, like I
- 41:27Speaker 3: didn't know. I bought everything I didn't.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Need exactly like you want gas in it before you leave,
- 41:32Speaker 2: after after you get back. But I didn't realize that
- 41:34Speaker 2: they could box it for you. And that's what we were,
- 41:37Speaker 2: that's what we had selected. I didn't know that it
- 41:39Speaker 2: was already boxed, but if it wasn't boxed, they could
- 41:42Speaker 2: box it for you.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Don't have to worry about it.
- 41:44Speaker 2: And it's eight hundred dollars after we fixed everything, it
- 41:47Speaker 2: was a little under one hundred.
- 41:49Speaker 3: But still, wow, what a disparity. How different is that
- 41:52Speaker 3: huge day they were trying to get you guys with that, Well,
- 41:54Speaker 3: you're out air filter's a little dirty when you change
- 41:57Speaker 3: exactly need new windshield wipers.
- 41:59Speaker 2: But if you're not familiar with shipping, dude, they can
- 42:01Speaker 2: really get you any because it's not just weight what
- 42:05Speaker 2: I realized, it's size too, and mostly more size than
- 42:08Speaker 2: it is weight.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Really, because I ordered Waits a couple of years ago,
- 42:12Speaker 3: like a workout.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yeah, they we sound like a forty five.
- 42:15Speaker 3: It was like, how much doing it cost? Even ship this?
- 42:18Speaker 3: Because somebody has to that's in a box. Yeah, being carried.
- 42:22Speaker 3: But yeah, when I get them, I'm not jersey. I
- 42:25Speaker 3: don't really like to wear jerseys. I don't really wear jerseys. Yeah,
- 42:27Speaker 3: we're kind of a little older for that. Yeah, but
- 42:29Speaker 3: I wear a Can'tlyn talk one just be just because
- 42:32Speaker 3: I'm just supporting like crazy.
- 42:33Speaker 1: That's all I got in me.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Basketball jersey, wear an undershirt or no undershirt.
- 42:38Speaker 3: I don't wear them. But but if you were to
- 42:40Speaker 3: wear I guess it depends where. If I are wearing
- 42:43Speaker 3: a basketball.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Jersey, they do a game. But you're going to seek
- 42:48Speaker 2: going to Indiana, You're gonna go see Caitlin Clark. You're
- 42:50Speaker 2: wearing a jersey probably no undershirt, armpit, hair sticking out
- 42:54Speaker 2: and everything that's aggressive.
- 42:57Speaker 5: That's so aggressed, that's aggressive.
- 43:00Speaker 1: The basketball is so ugly like that. I agree.
- 43:03Speaker 3: That's why I don't wear them, because I will wear
- 43:04Speaker 3: a baseball jersey.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I don't know if I have no I have.
- 43:08Speaker 3: I bought the clowns from the old Negro leagues, and
- 43:11Speaker 3: so I bought a clowns jersey and I wore that
- 43:15Speaker 3: when we were doing our you know, doing breaks and
- 43:19Speaker 3: stuff at the house, like your shirt.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I like, no, I we're undershirt. Oh you did?
- 43:22Speaker 3: I wore it open, Oh that's right, yeah, un buttoned
- 43:25Speaker 3: and didn't feel that ridiculous. I have a couple like
- 43:28Speaker 3: jersey shirts that are Cubs, like practice jerseys or gifts
- 43:31Speaker 3: to me.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I wore one the other day.
- 43:32Speaker 3: It was just a Cubs shirt, likek a shirt, but
- 43:34Speaker 3: it's like a jersey shirt. I didn't feel weird than
- 43:36Speaker 3: that one.
- 43:37Speaker 6: I like the jersey shirts better, like the old school,
- 43:39Speaker 6: like the eighties. I think it was right when they
- 43:41Speaker 6: just it looks like a shirt, but it's a jersey.
- 43:42Speaker 1: It doesn't button up the middle. Yes, didn't you get
- 43:44Speaker 1: heckled by your wife when you wore a heckled by
- 43:47Speaker 1: my wife? When I wear anything, you say like, oh
- 43:49Speaker 1: you planned it?
- 43:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you can give her the ken Clarks like what
- 43:51Speaker 3: time is the game?
- 43:53Speaker 1: What game? Oh? Yeah, you're jersey and I thought you
- 43:55Speaker 1: were going out, So I love it.
- 43:58Speaker 3: I did watch the game last night, the Man game
- 44:02Speaker 3: one Minnesota and Dallas.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I will say that I have felt Minnesota felt they
- 44:07Speaker 1: felt a little tired to me, Anthony Edwards for sure
- 44:10Speaker 1: looked tired.
- 44:10Speaker 3: They felt a little tired, And I get it. They
- 44:12Speaker 3: just came off of game seven. Dallas didn't have to
- 44:14Speaker 3: go seven. They had some days off. I felt they
- 44:16Speaker 3: were a bit tired.
- 44:19Speaker 1: I noticed it specifically when gosh, who was it?
- 44:22Speaker 2: Somebody had brought the ball in and they were gonna
- 44:25Speaker 2: give it Anthony Edwards, he said.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I just keep it, just keep it.
- 44:28Speaker 3: So the end of the game, because I was back
- 44:31Speaker 3: and forth with watching the game cast and watching the game,
- 44:33Speaker 3: so I did miss some of it. Some of it
- 44:35Speaker 3: I was watching cartoon boxes of Caitlin Clark and some
- 44:39Speaker 3: of it was watching the actual game, but all on
- 44:41Speaker 3: my phone because my wife was kind of asleep next
- 44:43Speaker 3: to me, so I had my AirPods in that Karl
- 44:46Speaker 3: Anthony Towns he comes in, he dunks it off the
- 44:49Speaker 3: miss and they ended up calling like a like a
- 44:52Speaker 3: basket interference.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think was it goaltending.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Basket interference because they didn't stop it. He scored, but
- 44:57Speaker 3: the ball they they wouldn't reviewed it. I thought they
- 44:59Speaker 3: were gonna I thought they were going to reverse their call.
- 45:01Speaker 1: It didn't look like it was going in. It looked
- 45:03Speaker 1: off right, and.
- 45:04Speaker 3: It came out a little bit, but it was so
- 45:06Speaker 3: close that the call on the court is what mattered.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Did you watch it at all, Kevin, No, I didn't.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Good for you, Boston, You're not gonna watch that.
- 45:13Speaker 6: Don't even care in And I'm like, you know what,
- 45:15Speaker 6: I don't. Thursday is the next game, right, Okay?
- 45:17Speaker 4: Cool?
- 45:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:18Speaker 3: So there was a play at the end of the game.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Carl Anthony Towns comes uh running in Minnesota, missed a shot.
- 45:24Speaker 3: The ball looks like it bounced straight up and starts
- 45:26Speaker 3: to come off a little bit, but he grabs it
- 45:27Speaker 3: and dunks it. I was surprised at the call that
- 45:29Speaker 3: it was about. This is a major play in the game.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I was surprised that it was called as a basket interference.
- 45:34Speaker 3: And I watched the replay and it was so close
- 45:36Speaker 3: because it was coming away just a bit, but it
- 45:38Speaker 3: was so close that the call on the court I
- 45:40Speaker 3: think is what made the difference because they had already
- 45:42Speaker 3: called it and they couldn't overturn it that it was
- 45:44Speaker 3: absolutely out of the cylinder, like to the side.
- 45:48Speaker 1: So that was a big one. That was the turning point.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I believe this. Yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 3: They also the misfree throw by Mike Conley. So at
- 45:54Speaker 3: the very end of the game there was a there
- 45:57Speaker 3: was a stupid foul. And so Minnesota is they're going
- 46:02Speaker 3: they're down four, they have like eleven seconds left. My
- 46:05Speaker 3: seconds may be a little bit off. Conley's down, Conley
- 46:07Speaker 3: shoots the three, They foul Conley. It almost goes in
- 46:11Speaker 3: to begin with. They could have been a four point play. Really,
- 46:14Speaker 3: they foul commonly. So Conley's going to the line to
- 46:16Speaker 3: shoot three, down four, and so what the plan is
- 46:20Speaker 3: with like eleven seconds left, maybe six seconds whatever it was,
- 46:23Speaker 3: He's up and they're like, Okay, he's gonna make the
- 46:25Speaker 3: first one. He's gonna make the second one, and then
- 46:29Speaker 3: he's gonna miss the third one with like six eight
- 46:32Speaker 3: seconds maybe four whatever, and he's gonna miss it on purpose,
- 46:35Speaker 3: and they'll fight for the tip to get it in.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Yeah, go Bear, you got And.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I've been talking about how accurate he is, that he's
- 46:41Speaker 2: so accurate that he can do this successfully.
- 46:43Speaker 3: And obviously Dallas's front line is bigger with Lively and
- 46:46Speaker 3: Gafford and you can definitely tell last night. And so
- 46:49Speaker 3: Conley goes up, I mean, Conley's automatic goes up, Boom
- 46:51Speaker 3: shoots free throw. The first one makes it, goes second one,
- 46:53Speaker 3: Boom shot misses the second one.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Oh.
- 46:56Speaker 1: So now they're like, what do you do. He's like,
- 46:59Speaker 1: here's what you have to do. You have to miss it.
- 47:01Speaker 3: At this point, there had to be like three seconds left.
- 47:03Speaker 3: All this happened within like fifteen seconds. Everything is like,
- 47:08Speaker 3: so I've only seen this happened one time at junior college.
- 47:11Speaker 3: He was like, but it works once in junior college.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So they're down three. No, they're down, they're down third,
- 47:20Speaker 1: down three three.
- 47:21Speaker 3: And so he says what he has to do is
- 47:24Speaker 3: he has to miss it. The tip has to tip
- 47:26Speaker 3: it back to somebody behind the three point line, and
- 47:29Speaker 3: he has to shoot it immediately.
- 47:31Speaker 1: They were covering up the guards. So it never happened.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Oh dude, the guards were all smothering.
- 47:35Speaker 3: It never happened. But once in junior college, you saw it.
- 47:37Speaker 3: They lost the game, they had a chance to they
- 47:40Speaker 3: had a chance to win the game. They looked tired.
- 47:43Speaker 3: I hate that they lost in Minnesota, but they also
- 47:45Speaker 3: lost in Minnesota pretty much all their games.
- 47:47Speaker 1: The left time to eat.
- 47:48Speaker 6: I did that once. What I had I had to
- 47:51Speaker 6: miss it on purpose. I was in sixth grade. I
- 47:54Speaker 6: think I swear. But Eddie's looking at.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Me like I want to hear the story. Yeah, so
- 48:01Speaker 1: I think it.
- 48:01Speaker 5: Was maybe sixth grade something like that.
- 48:03Speaker 4: And we were down.
- 48:05Speaker 6: We were down three, and I got foul taken a
- 48:08Speaker 6: three and I pulled a calmly where I missed I
- 48:12Speaker 6: think the first and the second one actually, so I
- 48:14Speaker 6: had to miss the third one on purpose, get it
- 48:18Speaker 6: and then shoot it three.
- 48:18Speaker 3: I had to get your own. Were you playing one
- 48:20Speaker 3: on one.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Or maybe if somebody else got it from me, I
- 48:22Speaker 5: can't remember.
- 48:22Speaker 3: You don't remember the story, Brox, although I don't remember
- 48:25Speaker 3: the time on the clock last night.
- 48:27Speaker 6: No, somebody else got the rebound, threw it back out
- 48:29Speaker 6: to me the top of the key, and I'm not
- 48:30Speaker 6: kidding you. I hooked shot a three and it went in.
- 48:33Speaker 6: I swear, I swear, and it went in. We went
- 48:36Speaker 6: to overtime and won the game by one.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I just could shot there was like.
- 48:40Speaker 6: Dude, there was no time left. I just grabbed it.
- 48:42Speaker 6: It took a step and I just threw it up there.
- 48:45Speaker 6: I swear it went in.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I mean, why would he make that up?
- 48:47Speaker 3: Oh, my dad, I don't think he made it up.
- 48:49Speaker 3: I think that only happens in sixth grade though, No, no, no,
- 48:51Speaker 3: and junior college. Well, junior college d the tip bag
- 48:54Speaker 3: and nailed it. So Van Gunny wasn't not that game
- 48:56Speaker 3: obviously he didn't see me.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Hey, something's up with Luca and the like.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I don't know if it's just smart basketball player, but
- 49:03Speaker 2: Luca has relationships with these refs that he kind of like,
- 49:07Speaker 2: what do you call it, groom grooms them.
- 49:10Speaker 1: That's a wild to well.
- 49:11Speaker 2: It just seems like he makes friends with these refs
- 49:14Speaker 2: and starts talking to him, and after every single bilds
- 49:17Speaker 2: a relationship, builds a relationship, and then after every single
- 49:21Speaker 2: contest he just kind of goes up to him like
- 49:22Speaker 2: he did you just see that?
- 49:24Speaker 1: Like, where's the foul there? Okay? No? Oh right, good, good.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Good, And then he goes back another he gets fouled,
- 49:28Speaker 2: He looks at him, gives the thumbs up.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Good call. Good call on that one.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Because I every time there's he's he's part of any
- 49:35Speaker 2: kind of like controversial play, if it's a foul or whatever,
- 49:38Speaker 2: his eyes go straight to the ref.
- 49:39Speaker 1: They talk to each other. It's a weird thing, and
- 49:41Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Okay, So are you suggesting that something shady's going on? Yes, okay,
- 49:46Speaker 3: all I'm suggesting is he This is part of his game.
- 49:49Speaker 3: He creates relationships with people are making decisions and although
- 49:52Speaker 3: consciously these refs don't make decisions based on the relationships,
- 49:55Speaker 3: a lot of times we do things and even when
- 49:59Speaker 3: we don't know why we're doing it. It's like at
- 50:00Speaker 3: the crowd affecting a referee. I bet you, refs go it.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Crowd never affects me. But when a crowd screaming, jumping run,
- 50:07Speaker 3: that probably does a little bit human nature.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, did you see the foul where like
- 50:11Speaker 2: he gets fouled. Apparently he gets fouled, and they wait
- 50:14Speaker 2: for the ball to see if it's going to go in,
- 50:16Speaker 2: and then they love the whistle.
- 50:17Speaker 3: They've also been directed to to let the play finish
- 50:19Speaker 3: in college in the NBA in the last couple of years,
- 50:21Speaker 3: to not call it immediately, to let it finish.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It was two seconds later. I hear you.
- 50:26Speaker 3: But that is a new The league has kind of
- 50:29Speaker 3: instituted a new policy on letting things finish out before
- 50:31Speaker 3: you call it.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Sometimes.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I used to be a huge fan of Luca, Like
- 50:34Speaker 2: I was just I love that he didn't look like
- 50:36Speaker 2: a basketball player. I love that he just drops threes
- 50:39Speaker 2: from anywhere on the court. I mean, he's awesome, right,
- 50:41Speaker 2: I'm starting to hate the dude. Starting to hate the
- 50:43Speaker 2: dude Minnesota human nature. It's like, I can't stand all
- 50:49Speaker 2: the things he does. It's because he's rooting against him.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Anyways. Money is taught.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Yes, you didn't realize that.
- 50:54Speaker 1: That's whiny.
- 50:55Speaker 2: And he's building relationships with these refs. But Lebron does
- 50:58Speaker 2: the same thing.
- 50:59Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, yes on any superstar expects superstar treatment when
- 51:03Speaker 3: they don't get it. He is a bit more vocal. Also,
- 51:07Speaker 3: here's the thing about Luca, why does.
- 51:08Speaker 1: He he just looks like soft. That's what I liked
- 51:12Speaker 1: about him.
- 51:12Speaker 3: He just looks like a cat. He is belly, Like,
- 51:15Speaker 3: how do you run that much? And you're still well.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Look at his other dude, like Jokic, Like they both
- 51:21Speaker 2: look soft.
- 51:22Speaker 3: But yok. Here's the thing about Yoki. So he's not
- 51:24Speaker 3: the point guard. He's a naturally a big man, Like
- 51:28Speaker 3: he's playing the center. You're and yeah, uh, Lucas sixty
- 51:32Speaker 3: six sixty seven?
- 51:32Speaker 1: What out six? A avatoll? He is?
- 51:34Speaker 3: I expect big men to kind of be big. They
- 51:37Speaker 3: go and stand down there and they're kind of fat.
- 51:39Speaker 1: A point guard that moves pretty quick.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Always once and has the ball. I just he just
- 51:46Speaker 3: seems soft.
- 51:47Speaker 2: There's another guy to Kyle Anderson, the slowest guy in
- 51:50Speaker 2: an NBA. You watch him and it's like, how is
- 51:53Speaker 2: this guy in the NBA? He is I would say,
- 51:57Speaker 2: half speed of everyone else on the court.
- 51:59Speaker 1: But dude, he makes.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Shots and he played for a while.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he was drafted by the Spurs. I remember when
- 52:03Speaker 1: he played with the Spurs.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Dude, and his three point shot is the ugliest thing
- 52:06Speaker 2: I've ever seen in my life, but sometimes.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Five seconds to get it off.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I didn't realize Kyrie was a ninety percent free throw shooter.
- 52:15Speaker 3: So when he went up because he had to shoot
- 52:16Speaker 3: a couple last night in the back and forth with
- 52:18Speaker 3: their fouling, Kyrie goes up and they're like, he's the
- 52:19Speaker 3: most the best free throw shooter basically in the NBA
- 52:22Speaker 3: and one of all time, and like really, he's like
- 52:24Speaker 3: a ninety one percent free throw shooter forever, and so
- 52:26Speaker 3: I'm like, dang, that's awesome. And then I went look
- 52:28Speaker 3: to Kaitlyn Clark. She's also ninety Did you get a
- 52:31Speaker 3: Kyrie earlier? But he's also a little early in the
- 52:35Speaker 3: career ninety over. But I think even in.
- 52:37Speaker 2: College, No, but I think that whatever her average is
- 52:40Speaker 2: now started with her first game in the NBA.
- 52:42Speaker 1: But I think, let me like, hold four games in,
- 52:43Speaker 1: she's at the record. I think that's zip bones.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Caitlin Clark college free throw percentage. In college she ate
- 53:02Speaker 3: eighty one. Okay, that's really good, eight sixty eight sixty Yeah,
- 53:07Speaker 3: but she's ninety eight w four games.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Hey, dude, but that's what I do. When I go
- 53:11Speaker 1: to the y.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, one shot, I retired. You know what
- 53:17Speaker 2: I saw yesterday to the game too? My first travel
- 53:20Speaker 2: in the NBA.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Oh, they called one.
- 53:22Speaker 2: They called them, and I was like, wow, I've seventeen
- 53:24Speaker 2: one of those in the lane like where he's Lively.
- 53:27Speaker 1: I think, yeah, yeah, Lively got it and moved and
- 53:29Speaker 1: it was I mean it was two feet down yeah
- 53:33Speaker 1: yeah yeah, But it wasn't like that he had the ball.
- 53:34Speaker 3: He was making them.
- 53:35Speaker 1: They travel all the time with the ball. It is crazy.
- 53:37Speaker 3: And Carrie, Yeah, he caught a pass and then moved
- 53:39Speaker 3: a step too much.
- 53:40Speaker 1: I was like, we're were wind? That was that? They
- 53:42Speaker 1: call it travel?
- 53:43Speaker 3: Were you watching the game like that? Because you bet
- 53:45Speaker 3: on her? Would you have watched it anyway, because I
- 53:46Speaker 3: didn't bet on it.
- 53:47Speaker 2: No, dude, honestly, it's my son. It's my oldest, my
- 53:48Speaker 2: sixteen year old. I mean, he's been so invested in
- 53:50Speaker 2: the NBA this year. It's the first year that he
- 53:53Speaker 2: has been wanting to watch NBA every night. We fight
- 53:56Speaker 2: for the TV. And so now that the series is,
- 53:59Speaker 2: now that the you know, they're down to the final four,
- 54:00Speaker 2: he's all in.
- 54:01Speaker 1: You like it? Do you like it that he's so invested? Oh?
- 54:03Speaker 2: I love it because since he's into it, I'm into it.
- 54:06Speaker 2: And now that I'm into it, all the other kids
- 54:07Speaker 2: are into it. Even my wife said, down and watch
- 54:09Speaker 2: last night.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Nice. So that's cool.
- 54:10Speaker 3: I think the series will be great. I just felt
- 54:12Speaker 3: like Minnesota was hired. Yeah, and not a great Game
- 54:16Speaker 3: seven for Aunt and also not a great Game one
- 54:18Speaker 3: in this series.
- 54:19Speaker 1: No, So he's over the hills, Ant Hill, the ant Hill.
- 54:23Speaker 3: He's very good.
- 54:26Speaker 1: All right, let's just take a break.
- 54:29Speaker 3: All right. That's it from Saint Louis where the shade
- 54:31Speaker 3: has entered the picture.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Love it, The shade has entered the chat. This guy's
- 54:35Speaker 1: doing good.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Good, Hey guys, what's what's up? Go cards, Go go team.
- 54:43Speaker 3: Where we are fifteen minutes away from walking over to
- 54:45Speaker 3: the stadium and talking with the manager and talking with
- 54:49Speaker 3: a player or two.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Who is it? Okay, if I call him manager Skip, I.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Think that'd be hilarious. If you only call him Skip
- 54:54Speaker 3: during the.
- 54:55Speaker 4: Interview, you will call him anything else?
- 54:56Speaker 1: I will. I'll call him Skip.
- 54:58Speaker 3: But I don't think that'll be weird. Okay, out of
- 55:00Speaker 3: a bit, it'd be weird for him. It'd be funny
- 55:02Speaker 3: for me to hear you call him Every manager is
- 55:04Speaker 3: a skip now, Yeah.
- 55:06Speaker 2: I think old old school guys. Anyway, you got it,
- 55:08Speaker 2: it's done, done deal then.
- 55:10Speaker 3: So we're headed over. Thank you all for listening to
- 55:12Speaker 3: twenty five whistles. Let's give a final.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Thought, Eddie, dude, I'm just happy right now.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Like it's pretty fun.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I want to I want to live eventually in a
- 55:20Speaker 2: baseball town because like, I don't think about baseball a lot,
- 55:23Speaker 2: but when I'm around a ballpark, I'm in a happy place.
- 55:26Speaker 3: It's interesting because you know, baseball called the national past time.
- 55:30Speaker 3: Probably just could start it where in America's past time? Yeah,
- 55:32Speaker 3: national past time?
- 55:33Speaker 1: And then one ever said, like a baseball the national
- 55:35Speaker 1: past time?
- 55:36Speaker 3: Will you Google what pastime it is America's America America.
- 55:40Speaker 4: I think it's America fast time.
- 55:42Speaker 1: I mean, don't be silly.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Well, back back where I'm from, it's called national in Arkansas. Regardless,
- 55:49Speaker 3: Baseball is not the most popular sport America.
- 55:52Speaker 1: It's probably third.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:53Speaker 3: Part of that, though, is because it's one hundred and
- 55:55Speaker 3: sixty two games and nothing feels like it needs to
- 55:57Speaker 3: happen right now. Yep, you're always like, oh, I don't
- 55:59Speaker 3: even gotta watch this game. We got ten more coming
- 56:00Speaker 3: up tomorrow.
- 56:01Speaker 4: We don't have to worry about baseball till July.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 56:03Speaker 3: So, because the one hundred and six to two game schedule,
- 56:07Speaker 3: it doesn't feel as important as much. We're in a
- 56:11Speaker 3: national past time America.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Yeah, are you eighteenth century that I'm.
- 56:19Speaker 4: More of a national national?
- 56:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you can have it, Eddie.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Thanks man.
- 56:24Speaker 3: So, but when you come to a baseball town, because
- 56:27Speaker 3: baseball is not huge nationally, but the cities that do
- 56:30Speaker 3: have baseball teams like it's super Baseball culture really cool.
- 56:34Speaker 4: It's such a cool thing to do.
- 56:35Speaker 1: And did you know that? When I was.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Nine years old, I think it was nine, my dad
- 56:40Speaker 2: went on a business trip to Saint Louis came back,
- 56:42Speaker 2: brought me a Saint Louis Cardinal's hat, and that was
- 56:44Speaker 2: the first hat that I consistently wore every day, Like
- 56:48Speaker 2: that was my hat right now it looks like it,
- 56:51Speaker 2: But no, this is a little this is a little
- 56:52Speaker 2: newer and.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Like the bonding. Like my stepdad, massive Cubs fan, put
- 56:57Speaker 3: it onto me. I never would have picked that because
- 56:59Speaker 3: I oucked. I used to watch one hundred games a
- 57:02Speaker 3: year on w His dad was a Cubs fan, so
- 57:07Speaker 3: it was kind of forced upon me.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Did you love getting like if you ever had a
- 57:10Speaker 2: sick day and you were at home and like, oh, I.
- 57:12Speaker 3: Had been sick, but I went to school if I
- 57:13Speaker 3: was sick because I had work to do.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Oh okay, well that's the difference between you.
- 57:17Speaker 3: You got to show up.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I was like, yes, the Cubs are on.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Cubs and the Braves are always on.
- 57:22Speaker 1: What's the time that they play? What do you mean
- 57:24Speaker 1: the Cubs?
- 57:25Speaker 3: It's like, no, the Braves five after TBS always had
- 57:28Speaker 3: everything at five after.
- 57:29Speaker 2: Oh but no, I think the Cubs have like eleven
- 57:32Speaker 2: one or something. Oh man, you never heard this.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I don't think it's consistent. Google this one.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Katie This is like the Cubs have a certain time
- 57:40Speaker 2: that they past time for the Cubs when they start
- 57:42Speaker 2: their games during the day, and it's like a saying
- 57:44Speaker 2: that they say in Chicago.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Let's play two Ernie Banks.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Cubs saying about go start time, games start time.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I think Eddie's just making stuff.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Oh no, I promise, man. I went to a Cubs game.
- 57:55Speaker 2: I sat in the bleachers and they all told me
- 57:56Speaker 2: about this. Okay, maybe maybe like three of them eleven.
- 58:00Speaker 2: I know, wait, is the time of the day something
- 58:02Speaker 2: like that.
- 58:02Speaker 3: You could be right twice.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Maybe that'd be a record.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Yeah, baseball's cool, brings a lot of families together. Eddie,
- 58:10Speaker 3: good job, Thank you, dude.
- 58:11Speaker 1: I don't Katie's not saying the right. She can't find it.
- 58:15Speaker 3: There's nothing you possibly.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Go ten oh one, it's time to get it done,
- 58:19Speaker 1: something like that, You know what I mean?
- 58:21Speaker 3: Rhyme, rhyming saying to start getting to see Oh I
- 58:25Speaker 3: never heard that one.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That could be idiot.
- 58:27Speaker 3: I have to see it right, Kevin final thought.
- 58:29Speaker 6: Yeah, we talked about it a little bit earlier. But
- 58:32Speaker 6: coming to these stadiums and different teams, it's got to
- 58:36Speaker 6: be tough as a rival because Katie and.
- 58:38Speaker 4: I were talking about a breakfast breakfast this morning.
- 58:39Speaker 6: I was like, man, if we were to do the Yankees,
- 58:42Speaker 6: that would be tough for me to do the Yankees,
- 58:45Speaker 6: you know, So it's.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Tough for me to do the card Like.
- 58:46Speaker 4: I don't even think I can wear an n Y hat.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Yeah you really, you wouldn't.
- 58:51Speaker 4: I don't think I would have to I could.
- 58:54Speaker 3: I think I hated the Cardinals growing up, and I
- 58:55Speaker 3: tell Jim Evans that I hated him, not him personally.
- 58:58Speaker 3: I thought I was jssed we didn't have and then
- 59:01Speaker 3: we came to the cums like freaking awesome.
- 59:03Speaker 2: I think it's always funny when you tell players like,
- 59:04Speaker 2: did you guys destroyed us?
- 59:05Speaker 1: I hated you for.
- 59:08Speaker 3: That's always I think you could, though, and you would.
- 59:10Speaker 4: I would for for the show. For the sake of
- 59:12Speaker 4: the show, I would.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Wear a Longhorns uniform. And that's the hardest worst thing
- 59:16Speaker 3: I could ever possibly put on. Yeah, mine would be
- 59:18Speaker 3: an eagle, Like I dry I'd dry heap just saying that,
- 59:20Speaker 3: but I would do it.
- 59:22Speaker 1: But yes, I.
- 59:22Speaker 4: Would never be able to show my fansmunching the.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Cubs tonight play the Cardinals as a guest of the
- 59:27Speaker 3: Cardinals and.
- 59:28Speaker 2: We're gonna have a blast. It's gonna be that would
- 59:30Speaker 2: be the thing. It's gonna be so much fun for me.
- 59:34Speaker 3: It's cool when you'll hear the interview with Jim Dmans
- 59:36Speaker 3: and he like enjoyed talking about that stuff with people
- 59:38Speaker 3: who like are super interested. Because even he was like, my.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Kids don't care.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Yeah, he's like, you know kids nowadays they I'm older.
- 59:47Speaker 1: But for me, like that was when I was like.
- 59:49Speaker 3: Like young teens. I was in it. I could have
- 59:52Speaker 3: done that for two and a half hours or so.
- 59:53Speaker 3: But and even hearing like stories about other players and
- 59:58Speaker 3: like you're about Don Mattingly, how cool? What like that
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: to me is like he gets really cool. So it's
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: cool we get to do this because we only created
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: this podcast and too much access for us to have fun.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Let's be honest.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: That really was it.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: It was the only way we could get access at
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: all was to act like we had a show and
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: we're doing it, and we're doing it all right, thank
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: you guys. Twenty five whistles. We don't have a whistle. Also,
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: we make it go to jail if we blowut right
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: here in the middle of where we are, and we will.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: See you guys next week. By everybody,
