- 0:14Speaker 1: Hi, guys, Welcome to another episode of Diamonds in the
- 0:17Speaker 1: Rough with myself Teddy Mellencamp.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Hey, I'm Erica Jane without my lashes. I had to
- 0:22Speaker 2: tear them off because my allergies.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I knew.
- 0:26Speaker 1: When I saw a little drip, I was like, yep,
- 0:28Speaker 1: she's gonna rip those off.
- 0:29Speaker 3: We both did that.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't take my allergy meds and just doing
- 0:34Speaker 2: her out. Yeah. So if you see me with puffy
- 0:37Speaker 2: eyes and lashes, it is what it is, y'all.
- 0:39Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So last episode we did a Q and A with me.
- 0:44Speaker 1: This episode we're doing a Q and A with Erica.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Okay, let me have it all right.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So the first question is what Broadway show, if you
- 0:54Speaker 1: could pick any, would you want to do next?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Fuck? Okay, okay, Cabaret. I don't know. Yeah, there's so
- 1:08Speaker 2: many I need to look, but that just like pops up.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But I don't know. I don't know that i'd be
- 1:12Speaker 2: right for it, do you know what I'm saying? But
- 1:14Speaker 2: I think I being on Broadways like a gift.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Know what? I think you would be so good at.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's not currently on Broadway, but
- 1:25Speaker 1: it's one of my favorite musicals.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Which gentlemen prefer blonde?
- 1:30Speaker 2: I mean, come on, does it get any better than that?
- 1:33Speaker 3: Now? Gentlemen prefer blondes? Or what's the one with tits?
- 1:38Speaker 3: And chorusline?
- 1:41Speaker 2: But myself a fancy pair tightened up the dairy. I
- 1:50Speaker 2: love she was great. I love that show. Chorus line
- 1:54Speaker 2: was amazing. That's such a good.
- 1:56Speaker 1: One because truth it's so good and all and you
- 1:59Speaker 1: got to really invest in all the case.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Don't pop the head or don't pop the hip? Oh yeah, honey,
- 2:07Speaker 2: she could not. She was a soloist.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that was a good one. Would you
- 2:14Speaker 1: go on the next season of Love Hotel?
- 2:17Speaker 3: We want to see you dating.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I want to date too, but not in Love Hotel?
- 2:20Speaker 3: But are you going to date on?
- 2:22Speaker 2: I would if I don't, I'm not opposed to it.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I'm not opposed to it. It's just a matter of
- 2:27Speaker 2: finding Here's what, guys, Just to be straight up truthful,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I don't mind dating and having fun with people. I
- 2:34Speaker 2: really don't. I'm not looking to get married. I'm not
- 2:36Speaker 2: looking to move him with someone or like anything like that.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I would like to go out, would like to have fun,
- 2:42Speaker 2: I would like to really, I've been married basically all
- 2:45Speaker 2: of my adult life. Here's here's the thing. I want
- 2:49Speaker 2: to spend time with people that I would actually spend
- 2:51Speaker 2: time with and not for television. Yeah, then that's that's
- 2:54Speaker 2: something that's really like. I have no problem doing it,
- 2:58Speaker 2: but it needs to be somebody that I find genuinely
- 3:00Speaker 2: interesting because I can't fake it. That's it. I can't
- 3:02Speaker 2: fake that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Well. Remember one of our most fun nights.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I don't think they showed it, but we were in
- 3:07Speaker 1: the Bahamas and we went to the nightclub afterwards, and
- 3:10Speaker 1: we're all like dancing and having fun.
- 3:13Speaker 3: That type of night or like then maybe some guy
- 3:16Speaker 3: was like flirting with you or something.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's a good way to tie it
- 3:19Speaker 1: in where you had to have a like it didn't
- 3:21Speaker 1: happen in a Bahamas and like we were all at
- 3:23Speaker 1: that point.
- 3:24Speaker 2: We were such a good time, and I think sometimes
- 3:27Speaker 2: you don't get to see that. And you know, they
- 3:28Speaker 2: say we want to see you dating. Yeah, I want
- 3:30Speaker 2: to see me dating too, But I want to also
- 3:33Speaker 2: spend time with people that I would actually spend time with. Yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 2: not and and and people that I find interesting And
- 3:40Speaker 2: I'm somebody that dates way out of like what you
- 3:44Speaker 2: may think I do like, I like nerds, I like
- 3:47Speaker 2: I like a lot of my I like I have
- 3:48Speaker 2: a wide breadth of people that I find interesting. But
- 3:53Speaker 2: it has to be like a genuine thing. I can't
- 3:55Speaker 2: go on.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You're not gonna go sit, You're not gonna go do
- 3:57Speaker 1: like some one of the shows, like I think it
- 3:59Speaker 1: was put or something they did like speed dating?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Well, actually that would actually be fun, because I don't
- 4:05Speaker 2: think I would. I'm also an odd.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Do I wonder how you do ut speed dating?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Probably not well because I like to get to know people.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I don't really I mean, yes, you judge people in
- 4:15Speaker 2: the first what millisecond that you meet them, but oftentimes
- 4:19Speaker 2: I can be wrong.
- 4:20Speaker 1: How long did it take for you to decide that
- 4:22Speaker 1: you would want to go on a day with Tom?
- 4:24Speaker 3: A year?
- 4:25Speaker 2: And Tom a year? I waited on Tom for a year.
- 4:27Speaker 3: But did you like him immediately?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Mister Girardi, which is how I met him? Obviously? He's
- 4:33Speaker 2: Tom to me. Was the kindest, nicest person to everyone,
- 4:38Speaker 2: from the valet to the bus boy, to the waiter
- 4:40Speaker 2: to the cocktail waitress. The owners loved him. He was
- 4:44Speaker 2: a solid guy all the way around. So I knew
- 4:46Speaker 2: him for a year before we ever went on a
- 4:48Speaker 2: dinner date. Yeah, so I'd actually watched this man for
- 4:52Speaker 2: a year.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And then how long did you wait to have sucks?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Months?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Months for Peters.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Sa doing that? Now, that was a different time in life.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Like now, I'm not waiting at all. And I have
- 5:05Speaker 2: no problem saying that because because bottom line is, I'm
- 5:08Speaker 2: in a different place in my life. So if I
- 5:10Speaker 2: like you and I want to have sex with you,
- 5:11Speaker 2: whether it's tonight, tomorrow, whenever, I'm going to be very
- 5:13Speaker 2: upfront with that. Yeah, And I have no shame in
- 5:16Speaker 2: saying that. And I'm I'm grown and I can do
- 5:20Speaker 2: whatever the fuck I want and I will do it.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And if something feels right, I will do that. Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 2: If I feel comfortable, Yeah, and he feels comfortable then.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And it seems like an enjoyable experience, then why not?
- 5:31Speaker 2: What are we waiting for? I mean, what what so
- 5:34Speaker 2: you can respect me? How about this? Don't need it?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Don't need it? You know, it's just it's not I'm
- 5:41Speaker 2: a really grown up. Well I hate to say this
- 5:44Speaker 2: because it sounds so trite, but it's like, what is
- 5:46Speaker 2: it that you're going to do? Marry me. That's not
- 5:49Speaker 2: in the cars. I don't want that looking for someone kids. Wait,
- 5:52Speaker 2: that's in the review. So we're here to have fun
- 5:56Speaker 2: and I love pleasure. I'm sure most men do too,
- 6:00Speaker 2: and so that's what I'm into, and that'll that's it'll
- 6:03Speaker 2: be what I was gonna.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But if you if you started hanging out with somebody
- 6:06Speaker 1: and you were enjoying them, would you ask them do
- 6:09Speaker 1: you come on Real House Lives?
- 6:11Speaker 2: That's a really difficult ask. And I'll tell you why.
- 6:16Speaker 2: It takes a specific person it. Listen, how many wives
- 6:21Speaker 2: have we seen fail?
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Do you know? Meaning that you think you know what this?
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't know that I could do that to somebody
- 6:28Speaker 2: that isn't already in the public eye. To take someone
- 6:31Speaker 2: that doesn't have any type of experience with being on
- 6:34Speaker 2: reality or being in a public forum to ask them
- 6:38Speaker 2: to come on a show like.
- 6:39Speaker 3: This, then it makes us seem a little phony.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But they don't do well, they're not themselves, and it's
- 6:44Speaker 2: not fair because then they receive like if you you
- 6:48Speaker 2: could ruin someone's business being on this show.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Within seconds, they can say one wrong thing and edit.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's my point. You could, honest, you could innocently bring
- 6:58Speaker 2: someone as a plug one to an event. They could
- 7:02Speaker 2: say something that and then really be harmed by it,
- 7:08Speaker 2: not really knowing what's going on. And I don't know
- 7:10Speaker 2: that about that. So if I brought someone on, it
- 7:13Speaker 2: would have to be somebody that gets the game. Only
- 7:16Speaker 2: into the game players, don't hit me up if you're
- 7:18Speaker 2: not in the game.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Yeah, to be on the show.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Well in life too, Like there's a certain game
- 7:23Speaker 2: that I'm playing that not everybody's playing. And it's not
- 7:26Speaker 2: about your money.
- 7:27Speaker 3: It's not about your money.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It's not about your money.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Is it about confidence, Yes, it is.
- 7:31Speaker 2: It's about in confidence, intelligence and accomplishment and kindness. Kind well, yes,
- 7:36Speaker 2: kindness too. But I mean, if you really want to
- 7:39Speaker 2: get down to it, it's about your life experience. You
- 7:41Speaker 2: gotta have some experience or you gotta have massive careers.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You can't be a lot of charisma.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Well that's called riz now.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yes, it is for the for the kids.
- 7:53Speaker 3: The riz theris you gotta have the risk. Sorry, slave's
- 7:57Speaker 3: best friend calls me the wrizzler.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I kind of like that for you, the rizzler.
- 8:02Speaker 3: How's the wrizzler? Okay?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Was there ever a moment you almost quit r h
- 8:07Speaker 1: obh And if so, what stopped you from quitting?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yes, I wanted to. I sincerely thought about quitting during
- 8:13Speaker 2: the worst of my legal troubles. And what made me
- 8:16Speaker 2: not quit was two things. I didn't want to be
- 8:18Speaker 2: a quitter. This is so wild, and I again, it's
- 8:23Speaker 2: one thing to watch the show, it's another thing to
- 8:25Speaker 2: be on the cast. It's a completely different thing. And
- 8:29Speaker 2: I didn't want to be a quitter. And I wasn't
- 8:30Speaker 2: going to be ran out of something that no matter
- 8:33Speaker 2: how tough it was or how hard they made it
- 8:35Speaker 2: on me, I didn't want them to be in control
- 8:38Speaker 2: of my life story, right, And that's something that I
- 8:41Speaker 2: wouldn't do.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah, what was the timeframe?
- 8:43Speaker 1: Right?
- 8:43Speaker 2: When it was during the worst of my legal troubles,
- 8:47Speaker 2: So it was probably right that season where I drank
- 8:51Speaker 2: a lot and blacked out a lot. Yeah, whenever that
- 8:54Speaker 2: was a couple of years ago.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that was like two seasons ago.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Okay, how much of Erica Jane is still
- 9:00Speaker 1: Erica Girardi when the cameras are off? And can you
- 9:03Speaker 1: explain this to people? Because I listen to your ted talk. Yeah,
- 9:09Speaker 1: so I feel like that's when honestly, like a lot
- 9:12Speaker 1: of the things that I learned was through that, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: I was able to connect with you in a different way.
- 9:17Speaker 1: But I think people get a little confused about this
- 9:19Speaker 1: Erica Jane versus Erica Gerard.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I think again, this comes down to performance persona and
- 9:23Speaker 2: like what but we could also say this, there's also
- 9:26Speaker 2: Teddy Mellencamp that's that I know, and Teddy Mellencamp that's
- 9:29Speaker 2: on here, right. So it's like when I used to
- 9:34Speaker 2: see my judge friends on the bench and they would
- 9:37Speaker 2: be tough as fuck and then they'd be like fun,
- 9:39Speaker 2: or my friends that are in law enforcement that are
- 9:42Speaker 2: tough as fuck, but then they're nice people. So Erica
- 9:46Speaker 2: Jane is a I'm not saying that there's our performance personas,
- 9:50Speaker 2: but in some way like we're different. You know, it's
- 9:53Speaker 2: a performance persona. It's an over the top caricature, no limits,
- 9:58Speaker 2: no boundaries. But I'm actually basically like a very calm,
- 10:04Speaker 2: sort of level headed person. Do you push that for shows?
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's called shows. Yeah, you do that for shows.
- 10:09Speaker 3: But I think when you're on Beverly Hills, you're Erica Girardi.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but this isn't of course I'm Erica. But you
- 10:16Speaker 2: know we're talking about an engineered reality, right, So the
- 10:19Speaker 2: show is based around our lives, and yes, it's all true.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I wish that mine wasn't true, Okay, whenever somebody says,
- 10:25Speaker 2: oh that's not true. I wish the ship I was
- 10:27Speaker 2: going through was not happening to me. But it is,
- 10:30Speaker 2: and it is very much reality. Now, I can't speak
- 10:32Speaker 2: for anybody else, right, I'm just talking about me. But
- 10:36Speaker 2: are there things that This is where the reality TV
- 10:40Speaker 2: has done such a beautiful job of blurring lines between
- 10:42Speaker 2: performance in real life?
- 10:43Speaker 3: Right? Yeah, that makes sense.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You know, is there a moment with Tom that you've
- 10:49Speaker 1: never discussed that still haunts you?
- 10:51Speaker 2: Yes? Yeah, but what but I can't because it's just
- 10:55Speaker 2: it's what about one on the show? No, the show
- 10:58Speaker 2: is nothing compared to what I've experienced in real life.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Okay, what about that scene where it was like you
- 11:04Speaker 1: and LVP and it's the first time you can tell
- 11:07Speaker 1: he's kind of.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Oh at home? Yeah? That I mean, you know, watching
- 11:12Speaker 2: that back is so funny because when you're in it,
- 11:14Speaker 2: you can't see it, and you watch it back now
- 11:15Speaker 2: and you're like, wow, I really lived like that yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 2: and that that that's that's hard because you go, wow,
- 11:20Speaker 2: I really lived like that. Yeah, I really lived like that.
- 11:24Speaker 1: There's some housewives that talk about how they have zero
- 11:27Speaker 1: relationships with the people that are on the show when
- 11:32Speaker 1: they're not filming. How's your relationship with the cast when
- 11:35Speaker 1: you're not filming.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I think it's pretty good. I think with the women
- 11:39Speaker 2: that I'm close with, you're not close with everybody in
- 11:42Speaker 2: the cast. You're just not. You have different you relate
- 11:45Speaker 2: differently with different women on the show, and you're closer
- 11:49Speaker 2: with some than others.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Who do you think you're closest with?
- 11:52Speaker 2: I see you every week.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I'm not on the show.
- 11:54Speaker 2: A fuck, see I'm not how about that, I'm not
- 11:58Speaker 2: on the show. I forgot you're not on the show.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I'm not on the show.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Fuck I totally forgot about that.
- 12:05Speaker 3: And you can't say running either.
- 12:07Speaker 2: And I talk to her every week. Well, sometimes we
- 12:10Speaker 2: mess up, but I text with Cobb and texting, but
- 12:13Speaker 2: I've been close with uh Derey and Kyle going through
- 12:17Speaker 2: all of these these their separations and whatever they're going
- 12:19Speaker 2: through in their lives. I text with Setting every now
- 12:21Speaker 2: and then. We send each other cat's stuff. Nothing heavy both.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I've you know, we're friendly. There have been some weeks
- 12:30Speaker 2: that I text her, some weeks that I don't. Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 2: but yeah, but.
- 12:35Speaker 1: If you were to get into trouble and you could
- 12:37Speaker 1: only call one of them, who would it be?
- 12:42Speaker 2: I can't call you because that's overwhelming.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You can't call me because I'm not on the show.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Oh on the show? I thought she meant in her agree, No, probably.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Bows she gets shipped done.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, she's tough, meaning that she's real clear.
- 12:59Speaker 3: She could get someone out of some trouble.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Or she's a really good critical thinker.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Yeah, she's a clear thinker.
- 13:09Speaker 3: You us have never met her. You need to.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you'd really like her.
- 13:25Speaker 3: If you could go back to when you were twenty
- 13:27Speaker 3: five years old, what advice would you give yourself?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Just keep going, it's going to work out. Well, let
- 13:35Speaker 2: me think what was I doing when I was twenty five?
- 13:37Speaker 2: I was already a mom, I was already divorced.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Does that haunt you at all? Are you like? No,
- 13:43Speaker 3: that happened just right?
- 13:44Speaker 2: I it is what it is. I think I would
- 13:49Speaker 2: say to myself, you're on the right path. But you know,
- 13:53Speaker 2: it's interesting because I don't really live my life with
- 13:56Speaker 2: regrets saying oh, that shouldn't have happened, or because you
- 13:59Speaker 2: gave something. I believe anyway, you gain something from everything
- 14:03Speaker 2: you go through, even like all this terrible shit with Tom,
- 14:05Speaker 2: I've learned a lot about myself, about others, about life.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I've come through a whole like thing. So do I
- 14:12Speaker 2: regret anything? The answer is no. But could I have
- 14:17Speaker 2: looked out for myself maybe differently? Yeah, Like when I
- 14:20Speaker 2: did the comment, I just said, Wow, I really lived
- 14:23Speaker 2: that way. Yeah, I really lived that way, like I
- 14:26Speaker 2: lived being talked to like that. And I guess you
- 14:31Speaker 2: don't know what you don't know.
- 14:32Speaker 1: So what would happen if somebody, if you started dating
- 14:36Speaker 1: somebody and they started talking to you that way?
- 14:37Speaker 2: Again, that's not gonna I can tell you right now.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I did kind of have that happen, and I revolted,
- 14:44Speaker 2: like I literally physically strong. It took me about thirty seconds.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Oh really, See, I mean I think that's the scary think.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It's one of the reasons why I'm not easily approachable either.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, because you know what you do definitely don't want.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And I don't think that I put out come talk
- 15:04Speaker 2: to me vibes. Yeah, and I think it's a problem.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I've talked to my therapist about it, like how do
- 15:09Speaker 2: I get past you know, I've been through a couple
- 15:11Speaker 2: of things post T post Tom, and I've been through
- 15:15Speaker 2: a couple of things, and I've I've had some adverse
- 15:17Speaker 2: reactions to people, like talking to me, I say a verse.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It's not dramatic, but just like inside where you're like, so, yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 2: I have to get past that.
- 15:28Speaker 3: But you say that, But that's I.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Think when it comes to complete strangers. But if it's
- 15:32Speaker 1: a friend of a friend or something, you're very warm
- 15:35Speaker 1: and open to them.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Yes, which I don't think people know about you.
- 15:39Speaker 2: If I feel safe like with someone that I'm very
- 15:43Speaker 2: sweet and very warm is if I don't know you.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I don't know you, and now you've given me a red.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Flat right, I don't know you. I don't trust you. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 2: I think everybody's I don't even want to put this
- 15:53Speaker 2: out because I think what you say carries weight. But
- 15:57Speaker 2: I think everybody's an enemy.
- 15:59Speaker 3: That's how it starts.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Everybody is an enemy, male or.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Female, all of them.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, anybody is out to get anybody. No one is friendly.
- 16:08Speaker 2: So but then when I get to trust people, and
- 16:12Speaker 2: like Teddy says, the Erica that they know is completely
- 16:16Speaker 2: different than the Erica that you'd be like, what, that's
- 16:18Speaker 2: not good.
- 16:18Speaker 1: That's like I've introduced you to a complete stranger before
- 16:21Speaker 1: of yours and you're warm and because I've said this
- 16:24Speaker 1: is somebody that I know, right, and I said, oh yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 1: like immediate and asking questions like something Erica is really
- 16:33Speaker 1: good at, which I would say a lot of people
- 16:35Speaker 1: in this industry are not.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Is asking questions, Yeah.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Because a lot of people are so self obsessed or absorbed.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Why my ticket to know others? And I will also
- 16:45Speaker 2: remember and I will say, oh I remember if I
- 16:48Speaker 2: see someone again, I remember we spoke about your apartment.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Do you remember how is your.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Daughter doing at college? I know you said that she
- 16:56Speaker 2: was at wherever. I listen to what people have to say.
- 17:01Speaker 1: So when we see on Beverly hillstar I've seen in
- 17:04Speaker 1: real life. Is like we could be driving past a
- 17:06Speaker 1: building and you'll know, like all of the information about it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Is that like something you studied or is that just
- 17:12Speaker 1: any time that you have a memory, your mind just
- 17:14Speaker 1: retains it.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Well, I don't want to go on record as saying
- 17:18Speaker 2: I remember everything because there are some people who do.
- 17:20Speaker 2: But if I'm interested in something, which I'm really interested
- 17:23Speaker 2: in architecture, I know that's why and history and shit
- 17:26Speaker 2: like that, then I can tell you, oh, you know
- 17:27Speaker 2: that building, da da da da, because I've probably looked
- 17:30Speaker 2: at it online. And then I'm just the things that
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm fascinated with. I just retain and people. When I
- 17:37Speaker 2: find somebody interesting or somebody that I think is kind
- 17:40Speaker 2: of cool, I just remember everything they say to me.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Can you remember people's names, because that's something I need
- 17:45Speaker 1: to work on.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I need to work on that. It depends I remember,
- 17:48Speaker 2: and I've said this many times, I don't really remember
- 17:50Speaker 2: what people look like. I remember the feeling I had
- 17:52Speaker 2: around them. So I remember whether somebody I thought they
- 17:56Speaker 2: felt smart to me or they felt kind to me,
- 18:00Speaker 2: meaning like they gave off an aura of kindness or
- 18:03Speaker 2: intelligence or capable or something like that.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, what's your favorite childhood memory?
- 18:10Speaker 2: My god, Okay, I'm three years old. I remember my
- 18:13Speaker 2: three year old birthday party. It's a very brief memory,
- 18:16Speaker 2: but my grandmother's holding me and she's like, Oh, there's
- 18:20Speaker 2: your grandfather, and now you're gonna ask me why do
- 18:22Speaker 2: you remember this because it's my father's father, and I
- 18:25Speaker 2: didn't know my dad.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Do you remember what he looks like and everything?
- 18:29Speaker 2: I can't. I can't only remember her holding me and
- 18:32Speaker 2: the gift he gave me, which was like a little carousel.
- 18:36Speaker 2: But I can't see him making me emotions. Oh no, no, no,
- 18:40Speaker 2: nont But I remember. I became conscious that this is
- 18:43Speaker 2: gonna sound crazy, But I remember when I was three.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I remember my three year old birthday party, and then
- 18:47Speaker 2: I remember three being great, and I remember kindergarten being fabulous.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I fucking loved kindergarten. Kindergarten was my favorite academic year.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Did you have like mini mouse ears and do all these? No?
- 19:02Speaker 2: But my I had a playdate with every little boy
- 19:05Speaker 2: in my kindergarten class, and we would ride bikes and
- 19:07Speaker 2: catch turtles and go on picnics. So my mom always
- 19:10Speaker 2: kept my bike in the trunk of her car because
- 19:12Speaker 2: I would go on a playdate with all my different friends.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And when it comes to things with your dad or
- 19:20Speaker 1: your grandpa, Yeah, those little memories that you do have,
- 19:23Speaker 1: do you save them in some capacity or like write
- 19:27Speaker 1: them down, or they just are always living in your mind.
- 19:30Speaker 2: They're living in my mind. But you know, my grandfather
- 19:33Speaker 2: gave I had a go car, an a b begun,
- 19:35Speaker 2: but he would you know, and used to ski. We
- 19:38Speaker 2: had a lakehouse, so he was constantly driving. He was
- 19:42Speaker 2: constantly pulling my ass around on skis or slaloming and
- 19:48Speaker 2: our lake house. And you know, he was the first
- 19:51Speaker 2: person to put a rifle in my hand. And yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 2: you know, like and I had to go car and
- 19:58Speaker 2: I was fishing. I was up like a like very
- 20:01Speaker 2: tom girl. Yeah something girl like you you know, just
- 20:04Speaker 2: southern girl. Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 1: And sorry, now now I'm now I'm asking my own
- 20:09Speaker 1: person questions. But when it comes to the stuff, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 1: with your dad or your grandpa is there do you
- 20:17Speaker 1: have any like resentment towards your mom or is it
- 20:19Speaker 1: all towards him.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I think it's a fifty to fifty thing. I don't
- 20:24Speaker 2: think that. Look people every but my mother was young,
- 20:29Speaker 2: so was he. But it's a fifty to fifty thing.
- 20:31Speaker 2: People do what they want to do, you know. I
- 20:33Speaker 2: think it's a fifty to fifty thing.
- 20:47Speaker 1: They asked if we'd ever go in a double date.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I for sure would me too, But I don't know
- 20:52Speaker 1: that we have the same type.
- 20:53Speaker 2: But I but a date. Let me just say something
- 20:56Speaker 2: going back to friends, right, dates, Dates do not mean
- 21:00Speaker 2: we're running off with them and getting married. Right Like,
- 21:03Speaker 2: if you're seeing somebody and you said it, come on,
- 21:06Speaker 2: let's go, Eric, I'd be like, of course, I'm actually
- 21:09Speaker 2: very easy to get along with that. I do a
- 21:11Speaker 2: lot of shit, So yeah, I'd love to do something
- 21:14Speaker 2: like that. I think that's cute.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I would do a.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Double day with you a million percent. But who do
- 21:18Speaker 1: you think should be the picker of the two guys?
- 21:21Speaker 3: You or me?
- 21:22Speaker 1: You?
- 21:23Speaker 2: And I'll tell you why, because you are far more
- 21:26Speaker 2: I can roll with the punches. We've seen she this one.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You need more control? Yeah, and you deserve the control
- 21:34Speaker 2: right now. I'm just along for the ride, like whatever, okay, perfect, well,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and we could have fun and it's not like there's
- 21:41Speaker 2: no pressure to like there's your dreams. Let me also
- 21:44Speaker 2: say this, when I talk about dating, I'm not talking
- 21:46Speaker 2: about somebody to come save me or rescue me. I'm
- 21:48Speaker 2: talking about I'm living my life in the present moment.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Let's have fun. Yeah, that's really what it all comes
- 21:54Speaker 2: down to.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Let's have fun.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And I mean I'm here to tell you like there
- 21:57Speaker 1: was I was recently at an event, but he was like, Oh, can.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We set you up with this this man?
- 22:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:04Speaker 1: And I mean maybe he had riz, but he had
- 22:08Speaker 1: none of the other things that I would enjoy.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And they're like, you don't understand how rich he is,
- 22:13Speaker 3: and I was.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Like, I don't.
- 22:15Speaker 3: At this point in my life. I couldn't care less.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Yeah I could. I would rather.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Hustle and slang every single thing that I can on
- 22:24Speaker 1: Instagram than do with somebody that I know is going
- 22:29Speaker 1: to have complete control over me and that I do
- 22:31Speaker 1: not find attractive and that.
- 22:33Speaker 2: There's a lot to be said there, and I think that.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So I've been totally on my own for almost five
- 22:40Speaker 2: years now, and while it's scary, there's something to that
- 22:44Speaker 2: that what you're saying about having complete And I don't
- 22:47Speaker 2: know that I could be talked to like that again
- 22:49Speaker 2: at that dinner you brought up. I don't know that
- 22:51Speaker 2: I could do that. I just don't know. I'd rather
- 22:54Speaker 2: get out here and stand up every day and work
- 22:57Speaker 2: than kind of be like taken back to that playing
- 23:00Speaker 2: to feel that, like to feel stall, to feel small,
- 23:03Speaker 2: and to feel like you owe someone something or you
- 23:07Speaker 2: or you're indebted to them, and yes you're married to them.
- 23:10Speaker 2: And guys, I'm not saying this, but you've been married
- 23:12Speaker 2: to one of these personalities. It's larger than life or whatever. Like,
- 23:16Speaker 2: it's a lot.
- 23:17Speaker 3: It's a lot. It's a lot trying to shrink yourself or.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Trying to or think.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Then when you're not trying, it's weird. It's like you're
- 23:25Speaker 3: trying to shrink yourself. But then you also need to
- 23:27Speaker 3: impress them.
- 23:28Speaker 2: You need to carry your weight, yes, but then you
- 23:31Speaker 2: need to not uh change on them. And then and
- 23:35Speaker 2: I'll never forget Doug Ross saying Doug.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Ross is one of the producers, used to be one
- 23:41Speaker 1: of the heads of Evolution, which he produces housewives.
- 23:46Speaker 2: This is years ago. Well, how has Tom taken to
- 23:48Speaker 2: you being on? I thought, you know, well, who's fine
- 23:52Speaker 2: with it? Well, sometimes men, you know their wives. I
- 23:55Speaker 2: was like, well, no, Tom's had a lot of a
- 23:57Speaker 2: lot of success and a lot of turns in the sun.
- 23:59Speaker 2: He would ever feel any type of way about me.
- 24:02Speaker 2: He would be so thrilled for me. Cut to nine
- 24:04Speaker 2: years later. That was not the case.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Of course, it wasn't the case. You felt that way.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You hadn't been in that situation before that's right, and
- 24:11Speaker 1: then the second that you were.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Well, it took took years. But then at the end,
- 24:15Speaker 2: like before I I mean, it was like there were
- 24:18Speaker 2: some things that came out of Tom's mouth that I
- 24:20Speaker 2: literally thought, My God, is that you in there?
- 24:26Speaker 3: And I wouldn't say this to my worst enemy.
- 24:28Speaker 2: My God, is that you in there? Like is this
- 24:30Speaker 2: how you've really felt about me the entire fucking time?
- 24:37Speaker 3: Gosh, guys.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Well, the thing that we can say in closing is
- 24:42Speaker 1: life can be really freaking hard, but it also can
- 24:45Speaker 1: be amazing. And I think the more that we open
- 24:47Speaker 1: up and the more that we talk about stuff, the good,
- 24:50Speaker 1: the bad, and the ugly, the better our lives are
- 24:52Speaker 1: gonna be.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I think also to no one in life does not
- 24:58Speaker 2: go through this with partners like on, so you may
- 25:00Speaker 2: not experience it the way we experienced it or you
- 25:02Speaker 2: experienced it. And yes, we had lived. We choose, we
- 25:05Speaker 2: choose to lead public lives, so obviously we're up for
- 25:08Speaker 2: whatever interpretation. But everybody goes through something like this, Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 2: we're just like, what what the fuck is going on?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Speaking of I want to know, Okay, whoever our listener
- 25:19Speaker 1: was that wrote in and said she wanted to go
- 25:22Speaker 1: to lunch with her best her ex boyfriend.
- 25:26Speaker 2: No, no, it wasn't a next boyfriend, it was a friend.
- 25:29Speaker 2: She was married to the controlling husband. She was going
- 25:32Speaker 2: to go see a friend. But is it worth it? Right?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Was it worth Did you go see him? I need
- 25:38Speaker 1: to know did you see him? And what happened and
- 25:40Speaker 1: give us all the We need some kind of follow
- 25:42Speaker 1: up on some of these things.
- 25:43Speaker 2: And I wanted to follow up by saying this. I
- 25:45Speaker 2: was watching our clips the other day. I'm not saying
- 25:47Speaker 2: you can't have friendships. I'm saying, underneath the conditions that
- 25:51Speaker 2: you said, I have a controlling husband, is it worth it?
- 25:54Speaker 2: And I said, no, it's not worth it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: And I'm curious if you have done it, and if so,
- 26:01Speaker 1: was it worth it?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Because maybe if you can get away with it, sure,
- 26:05Speaker 2: But do you want to be married to somebody controlling
- 26:07Speaker 2: as somebody?
- 26:08Speaker 3: But you have to get away with things?
- 26:09Speaker 2: That's point.
- 26:10Speaker 3: When you're doing nothing wrong.
- 26:11Speaker 2: That's my point. And you're going to be made to
- 26:14Speaker 2: feel like you were doing something wrong and all you
- 26:15Speaker 2: were doing was meeting with a friend. Yeah, life is
- 26:18Speaker 2: too short for this shit.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Life is too short, you guys. Life is short even
- 26:22Speaker 1: on its longest days, like my new tattoo, which.
- 26:24Speaker 2: By the way, I know that's such a beautiful thing.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Thanks guys, well, we appreciate you for tuning in.
- 26:29Speaker 1: We will be back next week if you have any questions, thoughts, concerns,
- 26:33Speaker 1: you want to leave it out for.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Us thoughts concerns. Oh wait, should we have that one
- 26:36Speaker 2: question that we were.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Like, eh, the question was where do you stand with
- 26:40Speaker 1: Denise and LVP. For me, Denise I have not spoken
- 26:46Speaker 1: to in a very long time. Apparently she was reaching
- 26:49Speaker 1: out to me when I was in the hospital, but
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I wasn't talking to anyone. But I
- 26:54Speaker 1: can say this is everything that I had thought about Denise,
- 26:57Speaker 1: and the person that she was in real life is
- 27:02Speaker 1: what we saw on her new show. So the persona
- 27:06Speaker 1: and that's what always drove.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I'm simply saying.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The part that irritated me so much about Denise was
- 27:14Speaker 1: she was performing to be.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Somebody that she really was.
- 27:18Speaker 1: On her new show, she seems to be more open
- 27:21Speaker 1: and relaxed in herself and not as worried about pretending
- 27:26Speaker 1: to be this Beverly Hills housewife, and that made me
- 27:30Speaker 1: go Okay, good, I'm glad she came around LVP. I've
- 27:34Speaker 1: not seen in the flesh in a couple of years.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I think the last time I saw her was the
- 27:39Speaker 1: night of the James Kennedy fiasco, the one, not the
- 27:46Speaker 1: most recent one, but a couple times ago. And I
- 27:50Speaker 1: was at Tom Thomas after the MTV Awards and I
- 27:53Speaker 1: walked by her and I said.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Hello, what did she say to you?
- 27:57Speaker 1: And we probably talked for like five minutes, but it
- 28:00Speaker 1: was it was whatever. Do I think she'll ever probably
- 28:03Speaker 1: say anything nice about me?
- 28:05Speaker 3: No? Do I need to say anything nice about her?
- 28:08Speaker 2: No?
- 28:08Speaker 1: No?
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, no, what about you?
- 28:11Speaker 2: I saw Denise because I did her show. Oh yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 2: it was cute and I had a nice time with Denise.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Denise can be for Denise. Her life is wild, Yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 2: it is wild. Her life is wild, like God bless
- 28:26Speaker 2: her because we couldn't do it. I can't do that. No,
- 28:29Speaker 2: And I'm not saying anything bad about it. It's just
- 28:31Speaker 2: I need a little bit more structure, just a little bit.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Lisa vander Pope, I have not seen in years.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Have you seen her since she didn't come on the
- 28:40Speaker 3: show anymore? No, I don't think so that I mean
- 28:43Speaker 3: because that's the thing.
- 28:44Speaker 1: They make Beverly Hill seem like it's such a small
- 28:46Speaker 1: town that we see everybody all the time, but we don't.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Well, I think she's moved on, right, Like she's moved
- 28:52Speaker 2: on and whatever. I will say this though, I saw
- 28:55Speaker 2: her because I get tagged, and shit, don't bring up
- 29:01Speaker 2: housewives if you don't want to be as you know, association.
- 29:05Speaker 2: She does bring it up a lot, and she.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Does bring up housewives to talk about negative negative.
- 29:11Speaker 2: There was a magician and you know, can you make
- 29:13Speaker 2: people disappear? Can you make some housewives disappear? I was like, bitch,
- 29:17Speaker 2: let's make you disappear. Why do you like I just leave.
- 29:20Speaker 3: It alone or come back on and fight it out.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Good luck to you all, right, guys, thank.
- 29:28Speaker 2: You here we are being nice. And then we ended
- 29:33Speaker 2: on that note. Yeah, come down, come on down.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Talk to y'all soon. Bye bye,
