- 1:26Speaker 2: So welcome to our show.
- 1:28Speaker 6: Thank you so much. I'm happy to be here. And
- 1:31Speaker 6: I love Jen. Jen is the best. Actually, when I'm
- 1:34Speaker 6: watching you guys do the show, I'm thinking I have
- 1:36Speaker 6: to move back to the East Coast because just like here,
- 1:38Speaker 6: you guys, I'm like, this is these are my people.
- 1:40Speaker 6: You know, I'm on the West Coast. And I was like, no, no,
- 1:43Speaker 6: the people on the East Coast, like the sense of humor,
- 1:46Speaker 6: everything doesn't translate. I feel like even when people watch
- 1:48Speaker 6: me on the show, you know, I'm very dead, pant sarcastic. Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 6: that's the East Coast style of being talking and everything.
- 1:55Speaker 6: And so I'm happy to be here with my people.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Oh you want to raise New Jersey, we'll part in Princeton.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Oh she's a real Jersey girl. You're a real Jersey girl.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Sorry I think I called it the redheaded step child.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I apologize.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Okay, I'm used to New Yorkers beating up on New Jersey.
- 2:13Speaker 4: You want to know something, I say that, but Actually,
- 2:16Speaker 4: I'm one of the few people that actually from New
- 2:19Speaker 4: York that I think Jersey is beautiful.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I love Jersey, I do.
- 2:23Speaker 6: No, I know I used to My dad's from Brooklyn,
- 2:25Speaker 6: and like my mom's family is all from Jersey. My
- 2:29Speaker 6: dad's side is from New York. So I'm used to
- 2:30Speaker 6: hearing you know, like, oh, I wouldn't be caught dead
- 2:32Speaker 6: in Jersey and all these kind of things. So no
- 2:35Speaker 6: offense taken. I know you guys secretly all have family
- 2:37Speaker 6: out there and coming to visit.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I have my brothers, both lived cousins. Yeah, so I
- 2:43Speaker 4: just I don't mind visiting their houses. So I'm actually
- 2:46Speaker 4: thinking about moving to Jersey. So really, yes, at some point.
- 2:49Speaker 4: So we'll see, we'll see.
- 2:51Speaker 2: What might be neat.
- 2:51Speaker 4: But I don't know about the movie is far out
- 2:53Speaker 4: of Princeton, Noyeah.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I know, I think I know your thoughts on it.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's it's a little too often.
- 2:59Speaker 3: How far is it from I always ask everybody how
- 3:01Speaker 3: far are you from the bridge?
- 3:03Speaker 5: Lady w and like an hour?
- 3:06Speaker 2: That's bad.
- 3:08Speaker 3: We went to red Hook, that was we would draw
- 3:11Speaker 3: it all the way down.
- 3:12Speaker 2: No, it's Red Bank.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Will We had from North Jersey to South Jersey is
- 3:17Speaker 4: a long ride.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You gotta remember, Jersey is a big state. We were
- 3:19Speaker 2: all we went. We went from north to south, that's true.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And it was rush hour. That's if we were the
- 3:26Speaker 2: rush hour probably would have took us an hour.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Name Oh my god, no, one's why. I told somebody
- 3:29Speaker 4: who was in Jersey. I said, oh, I was in
- 3:31Speaker 4: red Hook, Jersey. They were like, I never heard of that.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I said, new It's like new enough of combings. Red
- 3:38Speaker 3: Hook is in Brooklyn, I know, I got and I said,
- 3:42Speaker 3: there's one in Brooklyn too, not the one in Brooklyn,
- 3:45Speaker 3: the one in Jersey.
- 3:45Speaker 2: You know what was funny thing?
- 3:47Speaker 4: You were trying to tell me about Red Hook in
- 3:49Speaker 4: Jersey and I'm going, it's not red Hook, It's Red Bank.
- 3:52Speaker 4: So she was talking about Red Hook. I want to
- 3:55Speaker 4: go to this place. It's called I don't know what
- 3:57Speaker 4: the name Jersey.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Is. Yeah, he's that beautiful Jack And I sent you
- 4:02Speaker 2: the pictures. Yeah, oh my god. Oh I love it.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Comparatively to the ones you said me last night was
- 4:08Speaker 2: that was a hilarious picture of granting your.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I love that.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I love it too, So.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Okay, I'm enjoying cracking she's so funny.
- 4:20Speaker 4: So she's on this this show, which is like a phenomenon.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Everybody watches this show, very this show so much.
- 4:28Speaker 5: You know, I thought about that a lot.
- 4:30Speaker 6: It's like, when I got on the show, I didn't
- 4:32Speaker 6: realize how big it was because I don't watch reality TV,
- 4:34Speaker 6: or now I do, but I didn't watch it at
- 4:37Speaker 6: the time, and it wasn't as big of it. It
- 4:39Speaker 6: wasn't such a phenomenon at the time.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I mean, it's bigger than The Housewives. The people, like
- 4:44Speaker 4: four million people a week.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Watched the show, are you kidding?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, And that's a lot how many watched the Housewives.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Maybe maybe if they get a million of my what.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Housewives, all of them, all the house all of them,
- 4:56Speaker 4: their ratings actually fooling, you know what I mean?
- 4:58Speaker 5: You know what I think it is.
- 4:59Speaker 6: I think that people like to see real stories and
- 5:04Speaker 6: they think that they relate to it. I get so
- 5:06Speaker 6: many messages on social media and comments people that I
- 5:09Speaker 6: meet in real life are like, I watched your show
- 5:11Speaker 6: and I really related to you, or I related to
- 5:13Speaker 6: such and such a person and it helped me get
- 5:16Speaker 6: through COVID. It helped me get through you know, my divorce.
- 5:18Speaker 6: It helped me people just you know, one time I
- 5:21Speaker 6: was feeling kind of like I was kind of I
- 5:24Speaker 6: was talking to my dad and I was like, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 6: I don't know, I did the show, it's not a
- 5:28Speaker 6: big deal. And my dad said, you know, you help
- 5:29Speaker 6: a lot of people, you know, emotionally, people connect to
- 5:32Speaker 6: the show and and a lot of hard work goes
- 5:34Speaker 6: into it. I know, people think we just show up,
- 5:36Speaker 6: and but I mean there's a lot of people put
- 5:40Speaker 6: their heart and soul into whether it's us, the you know,
- 5:42Speaker 6: the cast that are on it, or the crew. And
- 5:45Speaker 6: I think it's a lot more there's it's a lot
- 5:48Speaker 6: more real than some other shows.
- 5:49Speaker 5: So I think that it will relate to actually get.
- 5:53Speaker 6: I saw an ad online and it was like, have
- 5:55Speaker 6: you fallen in love with the Foreigner?
- 5:56Speaker 3: And wait, wait, wait, you saw an ad online?
- 6:02Speaker 2: Where was the ad?
- 6:03Speaker 6: So the ad was on Craigslist and it was just
- 6:09Speaker 6: I think it was Craigslist.
- 6:10Speaker 5: There was a you know, one of those.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Like it was like one of the well I can't speak, sorry,
- 6:17Speaker 6: what do you call them? They're classified kind of class. Yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 6: So I said, oh, maybe they can help me, you know,
- 6:23Speaker 6: get a visa. I thought maybe it's you know, a
- 6:25Speaker 6: lawyer or some kind of law thing, you know, help
- 6:27Speaker 6: me get a visa from my then you know, boyfriend
- 6:31Speaker 6: and you were in love with a foreign Yeah, already
- 6:34Speaker 6: they don't pair you. You know, it's not like you
- 6:36Speaker 6: go and it's not like what love is blind or
- 6:37Speaker 6: something where they they did.
- 6:39Speaker 5: On the show.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So you come on with a boyfriend.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Yeah, So we knew each other beforehand, and obviously I
- 6:44Speaker 6: was pregnant at the time. And then you know, we
- 6:47Speaker 6: got on the show. I thought, oh, well, we'll try
- 6:50Speaker 6: this thing out. It'll be fun, and uh, you know,
- 6:53Speaker 6: it'll be something I tell people about one day that
- 6:55Speaker 6: I did this little show and and that'll be it.
- 6:58Speaker 6: And then here I am all these years later and
- 7:00Speaker 6: still airing, and how.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Many years you audit?
- 7:04Speaker 5: It's been what like five years them?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Could I ask you?
- 7:08Speaker 3: From being people always say in the act acting, oh
- 7:12Speaker 3: you got bit by the bug. Somebody go, I'm not
- 7:14Speaker 3: an actor. Then they do something and they get the
- 7:17Speaker 3: experience of being in front of a camera, people seeing them,
- 7:20Speaker 3: and you know, almost like it's like a quick started
- 7:24Speaker 3: or whatever. But how do you feel being a regular?
- 7:27Speaker 3: What did you do before this?
- 7:29Speaker 5: So I just worked as a freelance writer. I did.
- 7:32Speaker 6: I wrote articles, copy editing things like that. Okay, so
- 7:35Speaker 6: you're just.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Like almost like a nine to five. I'm just gonna say,
- 7:38Speaker 3: but artists you because you feel writing you have some
- 7:42Speaker 3: kind of art artistic ability.
- 7:45Speaker 2: How does that feel? How much longer will the show go?
- 7:51Speaker 6: I don't know, It's that's something I don't think anyone
- 7:55Speaker 6: really knows, because it's I mean when you once you
- 7:57Speaker 6: watch it, you'll kind of get the idea of like
- 7:59Speaker 6: how that is. But people who have been on a
- 8:03Speaker 6: season sometimes you know, are on it again if there's
- 8:07Speaker 6: you know, if their story continues or if they break up,
- 8:09Speaker 6: I guess they're not on it anymore. But but yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 6: the question I guess you're asking is what do you
- 8:17Speaker 6: do with Like, how does it feel to go from
- 8:19Speaker 6: just being like just a regular person. I mean, he's
- 8:22Speaker 6: still regular person obviously. It's kind of that crasing, but
- 8:24Speaker 6: you know what I mean, to all of a sudden
- 8:25Speaker 6: everyone knowing your life.
- 8:26Speaker 5: That has been crazy.
- 8:28Speaker 6: That's been very weird for me because I was always
- 8:30Speaker 6: a very private person. Yeah, and I thought, you know, okay,
- 8:33Speaker 6: well this will be an experience, and I thought that
- 8:37Speaker 6: that my husband, Viniam would get some he he's an artist,
- 8:40Speaker 6: he's a dancer, and he does all kinds of other
- 8:43Speaker 6: like martial arts and.
- 8:43Speaker 5: Things like that.
- 8:44Speaker 6: So I thought, oh, maybe someone will see him and
- 8:47Speaker 6: you know, he's dancing something, he'll get some attention for it.
- 8:49Speaker 6: And I said, they won't really focus on me because
- 8:51Speaker 6: he's really talented, and they'll just focus on him. And then,
- 8:53Speaker 6: you know, a little did I know they were really
- 8:55Speaker 6: focusing on the American because that's the experience that Americans
- 8:58Speaker 6: relate to another America and falling in love with with
- 9:01Speaker 6: the foreigner, right, And so for me, it's it's been weird.
- 9:05Speaker 6: It's even weird now. I think some of the side
- 9:06Speaker 6: effective being on the shows, I've become more shy. I
- 9:09Speaker 6: was always very outgoing, introverted about going. But now like
- 9:14Speaker 6: when I go outside, you know, put my hoodie up.
- 9:16Speaker 6: I'm kind of like, OK, I'm gonna go run into
- 9:18Speaker 6: the store, you know, didn't put on any makeup. Hope
- 9:20Speaker 6: nobody you know, recognizes me or anything. It's weird because
- 9:24Speaker 6: I never really wanted to be famous. I did like acting,
- 9:27Speaker 6: like in plays when I was a kid, but not
- 9:29Speaker 6: I never thought like, well, I'm going to be on
- 9:31Speaker 6: TV or something that was weird. So it's been it's
- 9:34Speaker 6: an experience. It's definitely strange. Or people feel like they
- 9:37Speaker 6: know you. And then so people come up to you
- 9:40Speaker 6: and sometimes say the funniest things, you know, and you're
- 9:43Speaker 6: just like, oh, okay, or I love when I hear
- 9:46Speaker 6: people are like, oh, you've helped me get through this
- 9:48Speaker 6: difficult time in my life. Nobody, barely anyone ever comes
- 9:52Speaker 6: up to says anything negative in real life on social media,
- 9:54Speaker 6: get all the negatives, Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 2: That's all.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the funniest thing someone's ever said to you?
- 10:00Speaker 6: The funniest experience I had? I think one of the funniest. Well,
- 10:04Speaker 6: I had two funny experiences that I could think of
- 10:05Speaker 6: off the top of my head. One was in Vegas.
- 10:07Speaker 6: I was outside a very nice restaurant. I was about
- 10:10Speaker 6: to go in and meet Vinnie and some friends and
- 10:12Speaker 6: this woman is like grabs me and she's like, I
- 10:15Speaker 6: need you to understand that you're too good for this guy,
- 10:17Speaker 6: and you just you know, you could do so much better.
- 10:21Speaker 5: And just you know, leave him. And it was so dramatic,
- 10:24Speaker 5: and she was so like, you know, because I.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Into your story.
- 10:29Speaker 6: I was like it's okay, Like, everything's fine. I'm gonna
- 10:31Speaker 6: go after dinner with him. Now, you know, you can
- 10:33Speaker 6: meet him if you want. It's okay, I'm fine, you know,
- 10:35Speaker 6: nothing happened to me. I'm okay. And she was just
- 10:38Speaker 6: very emotional. And the other the other funny thing also
- 10:41Speaker 6: in Vegas. Vegas, Vegas has got some crazy people. Yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 6: and also I guess people who are on vacation and drunk.
- 10:48Speaker 6: But is this lady she she's with her family. I
- 10:52Speaker 6: was with my family with my mom. You know, my
- 10:54Speaker 6: mom great mom, she's really fabulous. But my mom Vinnie,
- 10:59Speaker 6: and I don't if my son was there now probably,
- 11:02Speaker 6: And we're walking on the strip and this woman who's
- 11:06Speaker 6: with her family, I guess, comes up to me and
- 11:07Speaker 6: she was like, I love you, you know, you're amazing,
- 11:10Speaker 6: blah blah blah, and she gives me a hundred dollars
- 11:12Speaker 6: bill and I was like, I'm sorry, I can't. You know,
- 11:13Speaker 6: I can't take your money. I've always been raised that
- 11:16Speaker 6: you just don't take money from strangers or you know whatever.
- 11:20Speaker 6: So my mom is like, wow, this lady, you know,
- 11:23Speaker 6: really likes you. She's like, I guess, just take it.
- 11:25Speaker 6: I was like I don't know. And then she was like, no,
- 11:26Speaker 6: you have to take it, take it. And I was like, okay, fine,
- 11:29Speaker 6: you know it took the one hundred dollars and then
- 11:31Speaker 6: I said, I just started a charity. I said, I'll
- 11:33Speaker 6: donate it as my first you know, charitable donation.
- 11:35Speaker 5: She said no, it's money's for you.
- 11:38Speaker 6: And I'm like, okay, all right, and then she gave
- 11:40Speaker 6: me an extra ten bucks and I was like, funny, yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 6: And I was like, I really don't want it, so
- 11:45Speaker 6: comfortable taking this money, but okay, you know, maybe she
- 11:48Speaker 6: want it.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Do you think that if just let's have a fake scenario.
- 11:53Speaker 2: They call you, they say the show's done.
- 11:55Speaker 3: You're not on it anymore, it's done. Would you just
- 11:58Speaker 3: go back to writing and to the regular ordinary, you know,
- 12:01Speaker 3: behind the scenes kind of life.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I would you still be.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Looking for the camera and say what could I do next?
- 12:07Speaker 3: I'm used to this now.
- 12:08Speaker 6: I know a few people who are on the show
- 12:10Speaker 6: who who kind of feel that maybe they can use
- 12:13Speaker 6: it as a stepping stone to continue to be on
- 12:15Speaker 6: the camera, in front of the camera and stuff. I
- 12:17Speaker 6: would be more interested in being behind the camera. I
- 12:20Speaker 6: started working on a documentary, but to be honest, they
- 12:23Speaker 6: need more funding for it, so I'm not working on
- 12:25Speaker 6: it at the moment. But my life has really just
- 12:27Speaker 6: continued on. I'm still doing a lot of the ordinary,
- 12:30Speaker 6: boring stuff that I was doing. Like I'm in school
- 12:32Speaker 6: right now, and so for me, I'm doing I'm taking
- 12:36Speaker 6: some prerecs right now.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I don't want to.
- 12:39Speaker 6: I was thinking about doing nursing, but I'm not sure,
- 12:41Speaker 6: so I don't want to one hundred percent commitment. Yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 6: then someone listens to this and give her any say
- 12:46Speaker 6: how's that going, and I say, oh, change my mind? Yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 6: but yeah, basically, so for me, life it just continues on.
- 12:52Speaker 6: I know that I don't think, yeah, I don't think
- 12:55Speaker 6: I being in front of the camera is not so
- 12:58Speaker 6: interesting to me as The cool thing though, is you know,
- 13:01Speaker 6: being on a show like this, you get to see
- 13:02Speaker 6: behind the scenes, like the production aspect of it. You
- 13:05Speaker 6: learn about lighting and you know, operating a camera, and
- 13:09Speaker 6: you know all the little tiny things that you just
- 13:12Speaker 6: kind of pick up from all these years of working
- 13:14Speaker 6: with people who do that professionally.
- 13:16Speaker 3: So's I'm so fascinated by people who say, oh I learned,
- 13:20Speaker 3: Like even Rosella goes. I learned from being in front
- 13:23Speaker 3: of the camera. I learned how to work, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 3: how to use the camera. I learned about camera, you
- 13:28Speaker 3: said lighting. I'm an actress since nineteen ninety two. I
- 13:32Speaker 3: wouldn't know the first thing about the lighting. Somebody about
- 13:36Speaker 3: the camera. I don't even pay attention because I just
- 13:38Speaker 3: concentrate on my acting. But so many other actors concentrate
- 13:43Speaker 3: on that and sit and learn it while they're on
- 13:47Speaker 3: a set, and I have no I have interest, but
- 13:51Speaker 3: like I have to say, focus on my acting. So
- 13:54Speaker 3: I don't know how actors learn it.
- 13:56Speaker 6: I think some people like if you if you already
- 13:58Speaker 6: have an interest for it, you kind of lean into
- 14:00Speaker 6: it to learn more.
- 14:01Speaker 5: And also I.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Guess that's the word. Yeah, yeah, I mean I like
- 14:05Speaker 4: that too, part of it. So I like the back
- 14:07Speaker 4: to buying the scenes, like that's what I'm interested in.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I like directing. I could direct anybody. I think I'd
- 14:12Speaker 2: be a great director.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Well, and then you know, you have people that work
- 14:15Speaker 6: on the show that you end up meeting, right because
- 14:17Speaker 6: you're around them a lot, and uh, and they're around you,
- 14:19Speaker 6: especially in these vulnerable times, right, and you talk to
- 14:23Speaker 6: them and you know, I mean, I'm in contact with
- 14:26Speaker 6: some people that I've met through you know, just doing
- 14:28Speaker 6: the show and message them and ask them questions like, hey,
- 14:31Speaker 6: you know, if I want to light in this scenario,
- 14:34Speaker 6: like what would you buy?
- 14:35Speaker 5: What would you do? You know?
- 14:36Speaker 6: I guess it's more you take an interest in it,
- 14:38Speaker 6: but I could see how you wouldn't. You don't necessarily
- 14:41Speaker 6: get anything out of it if you're not focused on that.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, as an act, you have to be focused
- 14:45Speaker 3: on what you're doing. You have to believe in your
- 14:48Speaker 3: space and believe in the you know, imaginary circumstances that
- 14:53Speaker 3: are happening.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Well for me with the acting, I can I could
- 14:57Speaker 6: like dig into my emotions. That part I feel like
- 14:59Speaker 6: I could do, but I feel like to be an actor,
- 15:02Speaker 6: you know, you have to have some kind of like
- 15:04Speaker 6: internal charisma. You definitely have charisma. I mean, I met you,
- 15:07Speaker 6: you know, just now, but I feel that But like
- 15:10Speaker 6: for me, I especially now that I think I'm a
- 15:13Speaker 6: little bit more shy since so I feel like so
- 15:16Speaker 6: many people know my life, I feel like, oh, I
- 15:17Speaker 6: don't have that in me to be like, you know,
- 15:20Speaker 6: to walk into room and light it up. I'm kind
- 15:21Speaker 6: of like, oh, I hope no one notices me. You know,
- 15:23Speaker 6: that's more of my personality, which maybe it's a good thing,
- 15:26Speaker 6: you know, maybe it's a bad thing, maybe it's neutral.
- 15:28Speaker 5: I don't know, but wow. Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 6: I mean I if someone you know, saw me and said, oh,
- 15:33Speaker 6: you look like you know, you just fit right for
- 15:36Speaker 6: this part, I might, you know, I would consider it,
- 15:38Speaker 6: but I don't know if I'm going to actively like
- 15:39Speaker 6: search out roles or anything like that.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Did your husband get a screen caught?
- 15:43Speaker 5: Uh so he has a green card? Yes?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Good?
- 15:46Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 15:46Speaker 6: And uh oh my god, the process you know, after
- 15:49Speaker 6: COVID and everything, everything was backed up.
- 15:51Speaker 5: I think that's the other thing.
- 15:52Speaker 6: A lot of people are in these relationships, right whether
- 15:54Speaker 6: it would and then they relate to this process of
- 15:57Speaker 6: like what it takes to get a green card for
- 15:59Speaker 6: some one or I think also there was an article
- 16:02Speaker 6: I think it was it.
- 16:03Speaker 5: The Wall Street Journal or there there's two.
- 16:05Speaker 6: I think there's one in the Wall Street Journal one
- 16:07Speaker 6: in the New York Times about the show and they
- 16:09Speaker 6: talk about like how ninety Fiance is perfect, like the
- 16:12Speaker 6: perfect show for our times because it combines like the immigration,
- 16:16Speaker 6: which is such a hot topic. Yeah, and love and
- 16:20Speaker 6: you know, all these things and it just puts them
- 16:22Speaker 6: together into this like formula that it just works.
- 16:27Speaker 3: So is that how they advertise for nine y Dace
- 16:29Speaker 3: on Craigslist?
- 16:30Speaker 6: No, I mean, I don't know what they do nowadays.
- 16:32Speaker 6: I'm sure that they've got people that reach out to
- 16:35Speaker 6: them all the time.
- 16:35Speaker 4: They go through social media, they see what people are doing.
- 16:39Speaker 4: I mean, now, I think a lot of people try
- 16:41Speaker 4: to get on the show. They go, they go deliberately
- 16:43Speaker 4: find people. I feel like lately, because I.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Got on a little bit of trivees like we're a
- 16:48Speaker 6: little earlier, maybe even the early midpoint of the show.
- 16:52Speaker 6: So like now, I feel like there's got to be
- 16:54Speaker 6: tons of people who try to get on the show.
- 16:59Speaker 6: But it's fun, you know. I mean, I'm happy I
- 17:01Speaker 6: did a lot of it. People always ask me, oh,
- 17:03Speaker 6: are you happy that you that you went on the show,
- 17:05Speaker 6: And it's has been a great experience. It's been super
- 17:07Speaker 6: fun and I got to meet awesome people. I don't
- 17:10Speaker 6: think I would have ended up meeting you.
- 17:12Speaker 5: No.
- 17:12Speaker 4: So, I mean I I do a lot of I
- 17:15Speaker 4: do a lot of the you know, cast members on
- 17:18Speaker 4: your show. There are a lot of them come to
- 17:19Speaker 4: me to do botox and fills another.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Treatment I need. I need to come in for, they
- 17:24Speaker 5: come in for. That's because I go to gen She
- 17:32Speaker 5: did it enhance your relationship the show?
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you and your husband.
- 17:36Speaker 6: I think honestly having other people in your relationship, whether
- 17:40Speaker 6: that be an audience or whatever, never enhances it. I
- 17:43Speaker 6: feel like that's why people in Hollywood and stuff the
- 17:45Speaker 6: relationships number.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah. I feel like the less you.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Could put your personal stuff into the public, I probably
- 17:53Speaker 6: the better. And I heard what you guys were talking
- 17:54Speaker 6: about earlier with social media. I totally agreed that it's
- 17:57Speaker 6: has a really negative impact on society. And I've been
- 18:01Speaker 6: burnt down by myself lately. I haven't been posting and
- 18:03Speaker 6: stuff because I just feel like I don't know, like
- 18:06Speaker 6: some things, you know, some things it feels good to
- 18:09Speaker 6: keep private.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Yes, so.
- 18:11Speaker 6: And then the other thing is you see all these
- 18:12Speaker 6: people you think they're living this amazing life. And people
- 18:16Speaker 6: see I travel a lot and they always comment like,
- 18:18Speaker 6: you know, how do you How can you travel this much?
- 18:19Speaker 6: And stuff, and like I never want to make someone
- 18:21Speaker 6: else feel like, oh, my life is so much better
- 18:24Speaker 6: than theirs. I don't get any satisfaction out of anyone
- 18:26Speaker 6: thinking that, but I know that that's the whole goal
- 18:28Speaker 6: of an influencer.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Right to be like, this is my life, it's amazing
- 18:31Speaker 5: and you know.
- 18:34Speaker 6: But I just feel like it's a negative in general
- 18:36Speaker 6: for society to don't know, going by what you were
- 18:39Speaker 6: talking about before, with social media in general.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I agree with that.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I think I think, like I said before on Catherine,
- 18:46Speaker 4: I think it's a blessing and a curse.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I think it is.
- 18:49Speaker 4: I think it's some aspects it's a blessing and aspects
- 18:52Speaker 4: it's a curse. And I think that that now what's happening,
- 18:55Speaker 4: it's morphing into more of a curse, where it was
- 18:58Speaker 4: originally a blessing, you know, because then you could connect
- 19:01Speaker 4: to people, which is nice and blah blah blah. When
- 19:03Speaker 4: Facebook started, that was great. You could connect to your
- 19:05Speaker 4: high school people. Some people in high school.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I never liked them.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I don't want to connect to you, that's what it please,
- 19:10Speaker 4: don't reach out. So maybe that, you know, whatever. But
- 19:14Speaker 4: it became something nice and at first, and now I
- 19:17Speaker 4: feel like it's waffing into not so nice anymore.
- 19:21Speaker 2: The kids are more depressed, there's more people, you.
- 19:24Speaker 6: Know, it's funny that you say that about the high
- 19:26Speaker 6: school thing, because like, after I got on the show,
- 19:28Speaker 6: I had people like from high school reach out to
- 19:30Speaker 6: me on Facebook and stuff, and I was kind of
- 19:33Speaker 6: like a weird kid in high school. I'm probably still weird,
- 19:35Speaker 6: but I definitely am still weird. But I like it now.
- 19:39Speaker 6: And so I'm like, you know, you weren't nice to
- 19:41Speaker 6: me in high school. Man, I don't know, you know,
- 19:43Speaker 6: I don't really want to talk to you now. So
- 19:44Speaker 6: there's a positive and negative, but then there are it's weird.
- 19:48Speaker 6: I see a lot of things on social media, even
- 19:50Speaker 6: like you know, we talked about the negative comments. Yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 6: I had a woman like years ago send me a
- 19:55Speaker 6: negative comment or whatever. I almost never reply, but occasionally,
- 19:58Speaker 6: you know, if I'm having a bad nurs you know,
- 20:00Speaker 6: I'm human, it might get to me. So I replied
- 20:02Speaker 6: to this woman and I just said, really, you know,
- 20:04Speaker 6: you think that's a nice comment or something. And then
- 20:06Speaker 6: years later she messages me back. Recently the other day,
- 20:09Speaker 6: she says, I'm sorry for what I said. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 6: I'm sorry for that message I sent you years ago.
- 20:14Speaker 6: And I've had that happened a few times later.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Heart, you know, I heard something some kid.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I thought, this is really showed me about how negative
- 20:25Speaker 3: I'm not bashing social media.
- 20:26Speaker 2: It's great.
- 20:27Speaker 3: People make a living offer and now that's what it's become.
- 20:30Speaker 2: People make a living.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Okay, you advertise your business, you avertise your business, but
- 20:34Speaker 3: for kids. This kid was in an interview and he
- 20:38Speaker 3: was being It was about bullying, and he said he's
- 20:44Speaker 3: been bullied his whole life. Right, you can see he
- 20:46Speaker 3: had a little it was a little off but adorable,
- 20:49Speaker 3: beautiful kid, and he said, I've bullied my whole life.
- 20:52Speaker 3: He goes, but it's gotten so bad now as I'm
- 20:56Speaker 3: getting older and social media. Because when I got bullied,
- 21:00Speaker 3: when there was no social media, I would go home
- 21:03Speaker 3: and I'd have that eight.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Hour break, nine hour break.
- 21:06Speaker 3: He goes, Now I come home from school, I'm being
- 21:08Speaker 3: bullied on social media.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Still.
- 21:11Speaker 3: All the kids in my school are bullying me on
- 21:14Speaker 3: social media. And he attempted suicide and he said, I
- 21:19Speaker 3: never had a break. I could not get away from
- 21:21Speaker 3: the bullying. So even after school they were getting me
- 21:24Speaker 3: and torturing.
- 21:25Speaker 2: There was no reprieve.
- 21:26Speaker 3: So and I remember that really affected me, and it
- 21:28Speaker 3: made me realize how what a negative thing that it
- 21:32Speaker 3: could be, but it's also, like I said, a good thing.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I don't want to bash it.
- 21:36Speaker 4: I agree with that, but I think that at the
- 21:38Speaker 4: end of the day, maybe maybe people should be able
- 21:41Speaker 4: to put it down. I mean, I don't know, I do.
- 21:43Speaker 4: I think maybe TikTok should be taken away. Maybe that's
- 21:45Speaker 4: I think that TikTok is too much stimulation for the
- 21:48Speaker 4: kids to this information more than more than ascram. I
- 21:52Speaker 4: think it's too much stimulation and their intention span.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It's thirty seconds, yes, so it's like how much could
- 21:59Speaker 2: you process?
- 22:00Speaker 3: But it's also rewiring the bread to not have a
- 22:04Speaker 3: longer intention shortening.
- 22:07Speaker 2: It's like I'm over this, what's next? Next? Right, I'm
- 22:09Speaker 2: over this? What's the next thing?
- 22:10Speaker 4: And then they can't process it, and then they can't
- 22:13Speaker 4: like like they consume too much, and then they become
- 22:16Speaker 4: like they can't cope wort anything.
- 22:17Speaker 2: So that's what I think. It's a bad thing.
- 22:19Speaker 6: I mean, I think also social media. It's funny because
- 22:22Speaker 6: I feel like one of the reasons that the show
- 22:25Speaker 6: blew up in the first place, probably because clips of it,
- 22:27Speaker 6: you know, get so they're you know, obviously for me
- 22:31Speaker 6: that it's a positive, right that the show is so big,
- 22:33Speaker 6: and but it's I mean, I I know you're saying
- 22:36Speaker 6: you don't want to bash it, but at the same time,
- 22:38Speaker 6: it's like, you know, moderation. The problem is yeah, I mean,
- 22:42Speaker 6: the thing is also like as an adult, I get,
- 22:44Speaker 6: I'm an adult, so I get I'm on social media.
- 22:46Speaker 6: I get negative comments, I get positive comments, whatever. But
- 22:49Speaker 6: as an adult, I can say, well, these people don't
- 22:51Speaker 6: know me, they don't pay their bills, they don't you
- 22:52Speaker 6: know whatever.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Kid, it's even hard, that's right.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I mean, imagine going through that as a kid.
- 22:59Speaker 4: So like I mean, right now, with your your episodes
- 23:03Speaker 4: and your your your show is coming out now, are
- 23:05Speaker 4: you finding that a lot of people are commenting on
- 23:08Speaker 4: what's going on?
- 23:08Speaker 6: Like, oh, yeah, this is seems to be really popular
- 23:12Speaker 6: when people are messaging me and they like a lot
- 23:16Speaker 6: of positive comments I'm getting from people that, you know,
- 23:18Speaker 6: because they relate to my struggle because this particular show
- 23:23Speaker 6: is about marriage therapy and the struggle of like making
- 23:25Speaker 6: a relationship working. So I feel like that's something that
- 23:28Speaker 6: a lot of people can identify with, especially because what's
- 23:30Speaker 6: the divorce right now or something. You know, people and
- 23:33Speaker 6: more people are going to therapy than ever before. Right,
- 23:36Speaker 6: So so yeah, a lot of people reaching out and
- 23:40Speaker 6: and I appreciate that, Like when women reach out and say,
- 23:43Speaker 6: you know, I was in this, Uh, Like I'll get
- 23:46Speaker 6: some comments like I was in a toxic relationship and
- 23:49Speaker 6: you know, I'm seeing your your or I am in
- 23:53Speaker 6: a toxic relationship. I'm seeing your show, and I feel
- 23:55Speaker 6: like it's given me some strength to be able to
- 23:57Speaker 6: express my emotions or something.
- 23:59Speaker 5: So you know, it's weird, you don't think that.
- 24:01Speaker 6: So that's like, you know, positive, but in general, I
- 24:03Speaker 6: don't know, it's I'm going through the same thing.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Now.
- 24:05Speaker 6: I have a five year old son, he just turned
- 24:07Speaker 6: five this week, and I give it. I have a
- 24:10Speaker 6: tablet from when we travel, but I always I put
- 24:13Speaker 6: games on it. I'm expecting him to want to play games,
- 24:15Speaker 6: but he wants to go to YouTube shorts. Yeah, and
- 24:18Speaker 6: he wants to flip through it. And I tell him, no,
- 24:20Speaker 6: tablet is not that he's smart enough, you know, five
- 24:23Speaker 6: that he already knows how to go and he's watch
- 24:25Speaker 6: superheroes and stuff. But then weirdos put other weird videos
- 24:28Speaker 6: on there.
- 24:29Speaker 2: You got to be careful that.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I mean, it's it's it's it's rough, and it's so
- 24:35Speaker 4: let me ask you a question. I would love to
- 24:37Speaker 4: have you come back so we could talk more about
- 24:39Speaker 4: the show, because I know you really can't talk too much.
- 24:41Speaker 5: About I don't want to give anything anything.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Away because it is out right now. So tell everybody
- 24:46Speaker 4: what channel it's on.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Watch it.
- 24:48Speaker 6: It's on TLC and uh, you can watch it on
- 24:52Speaker 6: Discovery Plus. Uh it's HBO Max and I think there's
- 24:57Speaker 6: one more, but the big ones Discovery Plus, HBO Max
- 25:00Speaker 6: and or Prime Prime and I don't paramount, no, no,
- 25:04Speaker 6: it's yeah, sorry, I'm the worst.
- 25:05Speaker 5: Let me do that.
- 25:07Speaker 6: So it's HBO Max, Uh, possibly Prime, Amazon Prime. And
- 25:11Speaker 6: you can watch on Discovery Plus and.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Let them know where they can fund you on social media.
- 25:15Speaker 6: And my social media is just my name, Ariella Danielle.
- 25:19Speaker 6: That's d A N I E L L E. So
- 25:22Speaker 6: you can watch the show and send me some some funny.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Comments comments and we'll bring her back to talk about.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Those are the messages I like.
- 25:34Speaker 4: I will bring you back to talk about the show
- 25:36Speaker 4: in full force next time, so we'll maybe not And
- 25:38Speaker 4: when that's when it's all, when it's all it at all,
- 25:42Speaker 4: tell all and you'll tell it, will tell all when
- 25:44Speaker 4: she does a Harry, thank you so much for being
- 25:47Speaker 4: on the show today. I love you and you're wonderful guest.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Thank you so Muching Kitty, I love you. I love
- 25:52Speaker 2: you too. Everybody have a wonderful day
- 26:05Speaker 4: To be guilt
