- 0:02Speaker 1: On Skyans Australia. This is the winder Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Paney Show. We've
- 0:11Speaker 2: got a massive program for you. Joining me tonight is
- 0:14Speaker 2: the great Douglas Murray and my word he has come
- 0:17Speaker 2: back in top four.
- 0:18Speaker 3: We do not want to miss that interview.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Also tonight Gary Hargrave will tell us about the enormous
- 0:24Speaker 2: luxury travel bill, Former Victorian Treasurer Tim Palace racked up
- 0:29Speaker 2: and Josh Hammer will have the latest from the US
- 0:32Speaker 2: and another extended edition of Left is Losing It featuring
- 0:36Speaker 2: the leader of the Free World lying shamelessly and incoherently.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Look, let's catch up my mind a border. When I
- 0:45Speaker 4: became president, the numbers came way down Ama.
- 0:48Speaker 2: But first, with the inaugurration of President Donald Trump just
- 0:51Speaker 2: days away, there are growing concerns surrounding this strength of
- 0:55Speaker 2: Australia's relationship with the US and how it's been undermined
- 0:58Speaker 2: by not just the policy of the Albanezy government but
- 1:01Speaker 2: also the very unwise anti Trump commentary we've heard from
- 1:06Speaker 2: a number of senior ministers over the years. Joining me
- 1:09Speaker 2: now for more on this, the Sky News contributor Gary
- 1:13Speaker 2: Hardgrave Gary. How does the Prime minister fix this issue?
- 1:18Speaker 2: Guessing Kevin Rudd isn't going to be a great deal
- 1:21Speaker 2: of help.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I mean Albo is not one of the
- 1:25Speaker 5: twelve world leaders invited to the inauguration, so there's that.
- 1:30Speaker 5: The only way we've got an invite there is that.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I think Kevin Rudd is helping with the catering core,
- 1:36Speaker 5: and Penny wan is there obviously to keep an eye
- 1:41Speaker 5: on Kevin Rudd. Look, I think we're going along purely
- 1:44Speaker 5: because we're one of the quad countries. So was it
- 1:47Speaker 5: kind of they had to invite them along? But look,
- 1:49Speaker 5: it's embarrassing, but the American people have made their decision,
- 1:54Speaker 5: and I think the world is going to be a
- 1:55Speaker 5: safer and better place a week or so from now.
- 1:58Speaker 5: I actually think there's going to be a liber day
- 2:00Speaker 5: for a lot of people and a lot of big companies.
- 2:02Speaker 5: And unfortunately read it, there's a lot of companies in
- 2:05Speaker 5: this country who are now still being now forced by
- 2:09Speaker 5: government to do the things that this government wants them
- 2:13Speaker 5: to do. And we're seeing all this stuff out of
- 2:14Speaker 5: California about you can't do this and you can't say that,
- 2:17Speaker 5: and indeed, you look at where Zuckerberg were landed with Meta.
- 2:22Speaker 5: You know, suddenly Biden's going and now he's a liberated,
- 2:25Speaker 5: so free free speech guy. I think the same thing's
- 2:28Speaker 5: going to happen in Australia a few months from now.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Albow is going and people can't wait to see the
- 2:34Speaker 5: back end of him. He's not relevant, and I actually
- 2:37Speaker 5: don't even think he needs to go to the inauguration
- 2:39Speaker 5: because you've got you've got Biden there, and Albow is
- 2:42Speaker 5: our Biden. We've got a few state and municipal leaders
- 2:46Speaker 5: around this country who are our Gavin Newsom's. But you know,
- 2:50Speaker 5: there are people in this country who are fed up
- 2:52Speaker 5: to the back teeth see Trump as a liberator for
- 2:55Speaker 5: this nation as well, and Albow is just well, we're
- 2:58Speaker 5: putting up with him for a few more months. That's
- 3:01Speaker 5: what I pray and I think is the case.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Now, what do you think about former Foreign Minister Julie
- 3:08Speaker 2: Bishop saying that Kevin Rudd stays as ambassador may be numbered.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It was an interesting commentary from Bishop.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Do you share that point of view?
- 3:21Speaker 5: Well, I suspect it's true, and it's not up for
- 3:24Speaker 5: Donald Trump to tell us who he will accept as
- 3:26Speaker 5: our ambassador, but the Prime minister, this prime Minister Albanese,
- 3:30Speaker 5: he cannot read any room he's in. He's chosen the
- 3:34Speaker 5: wrong side of every argument. Did not know what to
- 3:37Speaker 5: do after what happened in October of twenty three in Israel,
- 3:42Speaker 5: did not know really what to do after the synagogue
- 3:45Speaker 5: fire in Melbourne. The guy has got no leadership understanding
- 3:49Speaker 5: about how the world is now operating in the post
- 3:51Speaker 5: Trump president or in the Trump presidency era that we're
- 3:55Speaker 5: about to go into. So I suspect he'll hang in
- 3:59Speaker 5: there with Kevin for a little while longer. But I
- 4:01Speaker 5: think Kevin will have what we used to say in politics,
- 4:03Speaker 5: a coughing fit, and he'll probably have to come home.
- 4:06Speaker 5: He came to Queensland over the summer months to look
- 4:09Speaker 5: at his beachside apartment up on the Sunny coast. As
- 4:12Speaker 5: I understand it, and good luck to him, But I
- 4:15Speaker 5: just think that Albow can't read any room he's in
- 4:18Speaker 5: in this country, so how can he actually read a
- 4:21Speaker 5: room in another country? The guy just doesn't understand it.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Now, let's go to revelations that former Victorian Treasurer ty
- 4:30Speaker 2: in Palace racked up over six hundred and fifty thousand
- 4:34Speaker 2: dollars in taxpayer under luxury travel, including over seventy two
- 4:39Speaker 2: thousand dollars GARY in travel and accommodation costs for his
- 4:44Speaker 2: farewell tour, which included the UK, France, Italy, Spain all
- 4:48Speaker 2: the nice spots. This was in October, shortly before he
- 4:52Speaker 2: quit politics. I mean, how can he possibly justify that?
- 4:56Speaker 2: And let's not forget he's a man who bears a
- 5:01Speaker 2: great deal of responsibility for sending this state broke. Victoria's
- 5:05Speaker 2: got the biggest state debt of any state in this country.
- 5:11Speaker 5: And I was in Melbourne for a couple of days
- 5:13Speaker 5: in the last weekend and read I got to tell
- 5:16Speaker 5: you the great city of Melbourne is in a palace
- 5:19Speaker 5: state because of Palace And I think that's really his name,
- 5:22Speaker 5: Dim Palas. I mean, it's just the problem with all
- 5:26Speaker 5: of these provincial leaders. They think that they are uber important,
- 5:31Speaker 5: that there's supermen when it comes to anything, and that
- 5:35Speaker 5: their view of the world must prevail. But what we
- 5:38Speaker 5: need is for Victoria to be punched back into the
- 5:41Speaker 5: success that Australia needs it to have. A complete change
- 5:45Speaker 5: of focus has got to come. I don't think there's
- 5:47Speaker 5: the capacity within the latest premiere that the Labor Party
- 5:51Speaker 5: have thrown up because the inbuilt attitude of too many
- 5:56Speaker 5: Victorians is that it's doom and gloom. I think it's
- 5:59Speaker 5: really sad. You know, there was a big rainstorm you
- 6:01Speaker 5: might record it on Sunday morning as I was walking
- 6:04Speaker 5: up Burke Street and even the eves of inner city
- 6:08Speaker 5: shops were leaking. There's no basic maintenance being done. You
- 6:13Speaker 5: just know, reader, that there is a genuine lethargy in
- 6:17Speaker 5: Victoria that Australia desperately needs an end to. And Tim
- 6:20Speaker 5: Palace should hang his head in shame. And any opportunity
- 6:24Speaker 5: Victorians have to tell a Labor Party so in a
- 6:26Speaker 5: ballot box they should take.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Well, we had the new Opposition leader, Brad Batten on
- 6:33Speaker 2: Sky News yesterday. He was interviewed by Peter Kredlin. I'm
- 6:38Speaker 2: interested in your thoughts on him.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Could he pull a Chris of.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Foley and get the Coalition back into power.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Well, what he needs to do is to actually stand
- 6:51Speaker 5: for stuff, be common sense, be value based, and actually
- 6:53Speaker 5: offer an alternative viewpoint. I mean, reader, why is it
- 6:57Speaker 5: that senior public servants in governments all around this country
- 7:00Speaker 5: are being paid more than their ministers. You know, so
- 7:03Speaker 5: ministers come and go, premiers come and go, but their
- 7:05Speaker 5: senior public servants are getting paid much more than the
- 7:08Speaker 5: politicians that are meant to be in charge on behalf
- 7:11Speaker 5: of us. You know, They're meant to be working for us,
- 7:14Speaker 5: we the people, but instead they become the masters of
- 7:17Speaker 5: us with their policy settings. So what Batman has got
- 7:20Speaker 5: to do is the goat role and bring Victorians with him,
- 7:23Speaker 5: and if he does, then he's deserving him.
- 7:25Speaker 2: You've got to tackle the bureaucracy, Marry, You're so right.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He's got to tackle that bureaucracy that is at of control.
- 7:32Speaker 3: We've run out of time. Thank you so much for
- 7:34Speaker 3: your time tonight, Gary. Thanks Now, I'm.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Thrilled to have my next guest on the Rita Pattery
- 7:40Speaker 2: Show every week for another year. He is one of
- 7:43Speaker 2: the finest thinkers of his generation, the author of international.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Best sellers including The Madness.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Of Crowds, The Strange Death of Europe, and The War
- 7:51Speaker 2: on the West. Douglas Murray, welcome back. We've got plenty
- 7:55Speaker 2: to discuss. Let's start in the US. We're a week
- 7:58Speaker 2: away from the second Trump term. What do you say
- 8:02Speaker 2: as the greatest priority of the president elect.
- 8:06Speaker 3: He has quite a mystic cleanup.
- 8:10Speaker 1: He does.
- 8:10Speaker 6: I mean, I think the priorities are obviously going to
- 8:12Speaker 6: be what he said on the campaign trail. The priorities
- 8:15Speaker 6: had to be have to be securing the southern borders,
- 8:18Speaker 6: securing the borders of the United States of America, preventing
- 8:22Speaker 6: the illegal migration that's gone on so extraordinarily in recent years.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Secondly, of course, there'll be.
- 8:30Speaker 6: The whole issue of the economy, of.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Rebuilding the American economy.
- 8:35Speaker 6: And as it was, the third thing, and as you say,
- 8:37Speaker 6: it's a pretty big intray that he's got is going
- 8:41Speaker 6: to be a world affairs. There's a lot that's gone
- 8:44Speaker 6: on in the world in the last four years that
- 8:46Speaker 6: Trump said would not have gone on if he'd been
- 8:49Speaker 6: in the White House. Now he's going to be back
- 8:50Speaker 6: in the White House, and it's his chance to show.
- 8:53Speaker 1: The difference between Trump and Biden.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Now, in many ways, California serves as a warning to
- 9:02Speaker 2: much of the US of what can happen when the
- 9:04Speaker 2: Democrats enjoy one party rule, when they can run a mark.
- 9:09Speaker 2: It is the bluest of blue states and is embraced
- 9:11Speaker 2: just about every far left policy, including DEI madness even
- 9:16Speaker 2: in the fire department. Let's have a listen here to
- 9:20Speaker 2: the Los Angeles Fire Department Assistant Chief Kristen Larsen talking
- 9:25Speaker 2: about the.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 9:29Speaker 7: You want to see somebody that responds to your house,
- 9:32Speaker 7: your emergency, whether it's a medical call or a fire call,
- 9:35Speaker 7: that looks like you. It gives that person a little
- 9:37Speaker 7: bit more ease knowing that somebody might understand their situation better.
- 9:41Speaker 7: Is she strong enough to do this? Or you couldn't
- 9:43Speaker 7: carry my husband out of a fire, which my response
- 9:46Speaker 7: is he got himself from the wrong place. If I
- 9:48Speaker 7: have to carry him out of a fire.
- 9:50Speaker 3: He got himself in the wrong place.
- 9:52Speaker 2: That would be funny, Douglas if it was a Babylon
- 9:56Speaker 2: b sketch, But sadly it's all too real.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Absolutely, and that's including at the very top of the
- 10:03Speaker 6: fire department in LA, the head of the LA Fire Department.
- 10:08Speaker 6: If you even now look at the website that she
- 10:11Speaker 6: has her bio, it's all about the fact that she's
- 10:14Speaker 6: a diverse woman, that she's a proud member of the
- 10:18Speaker 6: LGBTQYA plus community, and that her priority is diversity and
- 10:24Speaker 6: the numscu. We just heard from there also in the
- 10:28Speaker 6: fire department. I mean, I hope very much that LA
- 10:32Speaker 6: voters and others take note of this.
- 10:36Speaker 1: In the end, these people who talked for the diversity.
- 10:39Speaker 6: Talk didn't know what they were doing in the real world. Actually,
- 10:44Speaker 6: it's not about somebody who looks like you coming to
- 10:48Speaker 6: your house. It's about somebody coming to your house. It's
- 10:52Speaker 6: about somebody saving your house from burning down. I spoke
- 10:56Speaker 6: to residents of LA earlier this week whose home and
- 11:01Speaker 6: all their belongings had been burnt to nothing, as had
- 11:05Speaker 6: their whole neighborhood, and they said to me, not one fire.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Truck showed up, not one reta.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Now, if I was a resident there, and I'd heard
- 11:17Speaker 6: this guff for years about how important it is that
- 11:21Speaker 6: a diverse woman of color should come and how empowering
- 11:24Speaker 6: it is that a lesbian is head of a No. No,
- 11:28Speaker 6: you just want competent fire authorities. And that is exactly
- 11:33Speaker 6: what LA has not had. And we'll see if the
- 11:39Speaker 6: appropriate lessons are learned from that or not. But this
- 11:42Speaker 6: goes right up to the top. It's Governor Nuisance who
- 11:45Speaker 6: is doing this nonsense. It's the local mayor who is
- 11:49Speaker 6: doing this nonsense, heads of the fire service who are
- 11:52Speaker 6: doing this nonsense. And in the end, somebody has to
- 11:55Speaker 6: be responsible for the fact that there was no water.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Somebody has to be responsible for the fact that there's
- 12:00Speaker 6: no water coming out of the fire hydrants.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Somebody has to be responsible for all this.
- 12:04Speaker 6: And Governor Newsom has been standing intermittently, as we can
- 12:09Speaker 6: see there in front of these fires, in front of
- 12:11Speaker 6: these burned out buildings, talking about how we can all
- 12:14Speaker 6: pull together and go forward, and all of the usual
- 12:17Speaker 6: inane nonsense, and the whole neighborhood's burned down and is
- 12:21Speaker 6: still burning.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I hope very much.
- 12:25Speaker 6: The residents who suffered from this realize that this stuff
- 12:30Speaker 6: is not a joke, and things were always too late
- 12:33Speaker 6: for this nonsense, and they're certainly too late for it now.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Now. For many years under the Biden administration, we've seen
- 12:43Speaker 3: white supremacy spoken of as the greatest threat facing America.
- 12:48Speaker 4: We single out as the most dangerous terrorist about to
- 12:52Speaker 4: our homeland.
- 12:53Speaker 2: There's white supremacy, and that divorce from reality worldview has
- 12:59Speaker 2: for many many years infected institutions like a Department of Justice,
- 13:03Speaker 2: the FBI.
- 13:04Speaker 3: How do you see that.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Changing under Trump, particularly after the shock of the New
- 13:10Speaker 2: Orleans terror attack on New Year's Day.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Well, you know, a counter terrorism and counter extremism policy
- 13:18Speaker 6: should be one of the most evidence based policies in government.
- 13:23Speaker 6: It should not be about pushing an ideology. It shouldn't
- 13:26Speaker 6: be standing in front of a particular demographic and an
- 13:29Speaker 6: electorate and saying I've decided that X is the biggest threat.
- 13:33Speaker 1: It should be based on what the biggest threats are.
- 13:37Speaker 6: And you know this whole thing of you know that
- 13:41Speaker 6: people people like Biden for years have known that they'd
- 13:44Speaker 6: get a sort of Democrat round of applause if they
- 13:47Speaker 6: started talking about being against white supremacy. I mean, like
- 13:52Speaker 6: white supremacy is this thing where like everyone's agreed that
- 13:56Speaker 6: they don't want it or like it, and nobody in
- 13:59Speaker 6: the mainstream in politics or anything like that is pushing
- 14:02Speaker 6: for the KKK to.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Have a resurgence.
- 14:06Speaker 6: When there is the occasional whacko white supremacist, everybody's joined
- 14:10Speaker 6: in condemnation of them. But what's different, of course, is
- 14:13Speaker 6: that when it's somebody who's an Islamist, as we had
- 14:17Speaker 6: a number of attacks in America Europe over Christmas carried
- 14:20Speaker 6: out by people who appear to be driven by Islamic extremism.
- 14:24Speaker 6: Oh well, those same people stop being evidence based. In
- 14:28Speaker 6: fact that they run away from evidence. They don't want
- 14:32Speaker 6: to talk about that, or we always get the thing
- 14:35Speaker 6: of this isn't the time to talk about it, and
- 14:38Speaker 6: further down the line also.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Isn't the time to talk about it? And actually it
- 14:41Speaker 1: turns out there's no time to talk about it.
- 14:44Speaker 6: And I would just hope that there'll be a realistic
- 14:47Speaker 6: weighing up of the threats the American homeland under the
- 14:51Speaker 6: new administration and weighing up those threats wherever they come
- 14:54Speaker 6: from and dealing with them wherever they come from. But
- 14:58Speaker 6: we'll see. I mean, there's one of the things is
- 15:01Speaker 6: that residues of administrations can last an awfully long time,
- 15:05Speaker 6: particularly if they're of the left. They remain effectively in
- 15:09Speaker 6: the trees and forests left behind by the retreating administration.
- 15:14Speaker 6: And there will be whole structures in CIA, FBI, the DHS,
- 15:23Speaker 6: and others who will still be following the Democrat lead
- 15:28Speaker 6: on this even once the Republicans are back in. And
- 15:33Speaker 6: that's one to really look out for, because it's one
- 15:36Speaker 6: thing to have the policy, it's another thing to actually
- 15:39Speaker 6: have departments and institutions of government that actually see it through.
- 15:45Speaker 2: That of course, happened during Trump's first term, so I
- 15:47Speaker 2: think he's hopefully learned from that.
- 15:50Speaker 3: I'm going to go scorched.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Earth from day one, and if cash Patel is there
- 15:54Speaker 2: heading the FBI, I think you're going to see a
- 15:56Speaker 2: little bit of that. But let's switch to the UK,
- 15:59Speaker 2: where the kiirs starmer government seems to be more perturbed
- 16:02Speaker 2: by the world's richest man, Elon Musk shining a light
- 16:06Speaker 2: on the grooming gang scandal, then the fact that thousands
- 16:09Speaker 2: of vulnerable girls were assaulted, were raped by mainly Pakistani
- 16:14Speaker 2: Muslim men who were allowed for years to act with
- 16:18Speaker 2: impunity due to political correctness. Douglas, we saw the rule
- 16:22Speaker 2: of law. We saw common decency sacrificed in the name
- 16:28Speaker 2: of community cohesion and cultural sensitivity. Has the UK now
- 16:35Speaker 2: learned its lesson? Could the Grooming gang scandal happen again?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Oh?
- 16:41Speaker 6: Of course it could happen again, because UK hasn't learned
- 16:44Speaker 6: any lessons from it. And that's because, again, just like
- 16:47Speaker 6: I was saying about the institutions in America, in Britain,
- 16:51Speaker 6: it's not just the two tier policing system that kir
- 16:53Speaker 6: Starmer has overseen since coming into office. It's the fact
- 16:57Speaker 6: that the police, local counselor, local councils.
- 17:01Speaker 1: MPs and others have all overseen this.
- 17:04Speaker 6: And they all they've all overseen this. And actually it
- 17:08Speaker 6: required perhaps Elon Musk and a few other high profile
- 17:14Speaker 6: accounts in America to pick up on this and say,
- 17:16Speaker 6: hang on, guys, what is it you've allowed to go
- 17:18Speaker 6: on here for people to actually realize again in Britain
- 17:23Speaker 6: what this was, which was the biggest sexual crime carried
- 17:28Speaker 6: out in modern British history, all not just under the
- 17:32Speaker 6: noses of but in front of the faces of all
- 17:35Speaker 6: the relevant authorities.
- 17:37Speaker 1: And you know, at the.
- 17:39Speaker 6: Moment the big grand standing thing to do is to
- 17:42Speaker 6: call for a full public inquiry into this. The truth
- 17:45Speaker 6: is there are plenty of public inquiries that have been
- 17:47Speaker 6: taken place that have taken place into these these these
- 17:50Speaker 6: rape gangs, and nothing ever really changes that much because
- 17:55Speaker 6: nobody nobody asks answers which.
- 17:57Speaker 1: They don't want.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Sorry, nobody asks questions rather that they don't want answers to.
- 18:02Speaker 6: And the answers to this are, as I said in
- 18:06Speaker 6: the Spectator this week, pretty straightforward. Actually there that if
- 18:10Speaker 6: a man is found to have been a grooming raping,
- 18:14Speaker 6: gang raping, molesting women or underage girls, that person should
- 18:19Speaker 6: go to a prison for a very long time. And
- 18:22Speaker 6: if they have dual nationality, they should be chucked out
- 18:24Speaker 6: of the UK. They should have their British nationality withdrawn
- 18:28Speaker 6: and they should be deported. Now, most of these men
- 18:30Speaker 6: should be deported back to Pakistan, but the immigration system
- 18:35Speaker 6: in Britain is so rotten that, as I mentioned again
- 18:38Speaker 6: in the Spectator this week, a number of the men
- 18:40Speaker 6: were released from prison early, use the time to appeal
- 18:43Speaker 6: against their deportation and use that time to give up
- 18:46Speaker 6: their Pakistani citizenship so they could stay.
- 18:50Speaker 1: In the UK.
- 18:51Speaker 6: Because it takes so long to get people out of
- 18:53Speaker 6: the UK, and in the end nobody does get sent
- 18:55Speaker 6: out of the UK. Oh and then a couple of
- 18:57Speaker 6: cases where people.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Actually were able to be turned to Pakistan.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Shock and horror. The Pakistani government didn't want more gang
- 19:04Speaker 6: rapists in Pakistan, so they didn't receive them back. Well,
- 19:09Speaker 6: any sensible government should say, you know what, Pakistan, we
- 19:12Speaker 6: give you millions of pounds a year in foreign aid,
- 19:15Speaker 6: as does our ally the United States of America, you'll
- 19:18Speaker 6: take your citizens back. You'll take them back. Otherwise you
- 19:21Speaker 6: can say bye by to any foreign aid or anything else.
- 19:25Speaker 6: But you know, none of that is coming from the government,
- 19:28Speaker 6: and too little of it, in my view, is coming
- 19:30Speaker 6: from the opposition either. They're all fixated on this. Let's
- 19:33Speaker 6: have years of inquiries. Inquiries don't matter a damn when
- 19:38Speaker 6: what happens is at the end of it, the inquiry
- 19:41Speaker 6: is shelved, the person who's done the inquiry is thanked
- 19:44Speaker 6: and nothing changes.
- 19:48Speaker 2: It is just so shocking, and I'm glad at least
- 19:52Speaker 2: the American attention is saying the British public look at
- 19:55Speaker 2: this again, because I was shocked. I wrote a lot
- 19:58Speaker 2: about it at the time, seven eight years ago. This
- 20:01Speaker 2: is in my mind, the greatest scandal in modern British.
- 20:05Speaker 3: History, and people treated it like it was nothing.
- 20:10Speaker 2: It was something that was worthy of a few headlines
- 20:13Speaker 2: and when we get on with life, and I don't
- 20:17Speaker 2: think they've really examined how this happened, what it says
- 20:21Speaker 2: about modern British culture and.
- 20:25Speaker 1: There absolutely you're quite right. I mean, it's just astonishing.
- 20:31Speaker 6: And as I say, it's partly because this is one
- 20:34Speaker 6: of those stories that runs straight against the credo of
- 20:41Speaker 6: our time in countries like Britain, and i'd argue Australia,
- 20:45Speaker 6: most of Europe and Canada and other places as well,
- 20:49Speaker 6: and the credo is diversity is our strength, Diversity is
- 20:53Speaker 6: our strength. The more diverse we are, the better we are.
- 20:56Speaker 6: And the societies were in were desperately born, boring, bland
- 21:00Speaker 6: places until we brought some diversity into it. And you know,
- 21:04Speaker 6: there's something to be said for the diversity argument, but
- 21:06Speaker 6: not everything to be said for it. In fact, there
- 21:08Speaker 6: are some things to be said against it. There are
- 21:10Speaker 6: sometimes when you don't want to be more diverse.
- 21:13Speaker 1: There are certain.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Bits of diversity you don't really need, you don't really want.
- 21:17Speaker 6: I would argue hundreds of thousands of people potentially who
- 21:22Speaker 6: have seventh century attitudes towards women being imported into your
- 21:27Speaker 6: society and being told to just get on with it
- 21:29Speaker 6: and being allowed to get on with it. And that's
- 21:33Speaker 6: the problem for the authorities in all of this is
- 21:36Speaker 6: that you know, for all of the police awareness diversity
- 21:40Speaker 6: days and all the council diversity is our strength days,
- 21:43Speaker 6: the rape gang's case showed there are actually downsides the diversity.
- 21:49Speaker 6: There are negatives to it as well, and they didn't
- 21:53Speaker 6: want to admit to that. They couldn't admit to it
- 21:55Speaker 6: because there'd be a follow up question which would be
- 21:57Speaker 6: what are you going to do about it?
- 21:59Speaker 1: And so they just ducked it.
- 22:01Speaker 6: They just ducked it, and they hoped in the immortal
- 22:04Speaker 6: words of that queet that labor MP Naz Shah briefly
- 22:08Speaker 6: retweeted and then took down. But the raped girls of
- 22:12Speaker 6: Rotherham should quote shut up for the sake of diversity.
- 22:16Speaker 6: They should shut up for the sake of diversity. No,
- 22:19Speaker 6: some of us, like you and me Rita, always said
- 22:22Speaker 6: that was wrong. These girls should have been listened to
- 22:26Speaker 6: and their complaints should have been acted upon. If anyone
- 22:29Speaker 6: doubts that there is a double standard in modern Britain,
- 22:31Speaker 6: as in many other Western liberal democracies these days, you
- 22:36Speaker 6: just need to ask one question, what would have happened
- 22:39Speaker 6: if it had.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Have been the other way round? What would have been
- 22:43Speaker 1: the result.
- 22:44Speaker 6: If gangs of white working class men had been singling
- 22:48Speaker 6: out underage Muslim Pakistani girls and gang raping them. Would
- 22:53Speaker 6: we have passed it over? Would we have said that's
- 22:56Speaker 6: a bit too awkward to talk about it? Would the
- 22:58Speaker 6: police have just allowed it, Would the local councils have
- 23:01Speaker 6: allowed it? Would that Pakistani community in Britain have allowed it.
- 23:05Speaker 6: The answer to all of these things is, of course not.
- 23:08Speaker 6: You just need to turn it the other way round.
- 23:10Speaker 6: And you see the two tier system in Britain at
- 23:13Speaker 6: the moment, as in so many countries, because we cannot
- 23:17Speaker 6: cope with the situation that generations of politicians have handed us.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Douglas Murray, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Great to see Rita.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Coming out another extended edition of Lefty's Losing It.
- 23:33Speaker 3: You might want to miss it.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Welcome back. Now it's time for Lefty's Losing It. And
- 23:47Speaker 2: I think it's high time we checked in.
- 23:49Speaker 3: On the leader of the free world.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yes him, Potus, that man the media told you was
- 23:55Speaker 2: cognitively sound and a decent and honest and competent commander
- 23:59Speaker 2: in check. If you can now add dangerously delusional to
- 24:03Speaker 2: President Joe Biden's long list of ailments.
- 24:07Speaker 4: I would have beaten Trump, could have beaten Trump, and
- 24:10Speaker 4: I think that Carmen could have beaten Trump.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Would have been Trump.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Say what now, you could have beaten Trump?
- 24:18Speaker 2: No amount of fortifying elections could have seen you beat Trump,
- 24:23Speaker 2: and as we saw, Kamala didn't come close either. So
- 24:26Speaker 2: why is the president saying that now?
- 24:30Speaker 3: That's beyond me.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Also beyond me is why he'd be uttering a sentence
- 24:34Speaker 2: like this. Listen here as he speaks about the California
- 24:38Speaker 2: wildfire victims losing their homes before switching to his own
- 24:43Speaker 2: happy personal news.
- 24:45Speaker 8: He got notification you're spend their home product today.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Parents that maybe still standing, I assure with the good
- 24:54Speaker 1: news is I'm a pretty fanfile dead.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Their homes are gone, but yeay for me, I'm a
- 25:02Speaker 3: great grandfather. Everyone clap, And if you.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Thought that was bad, listen here as the cognitive decline
- 25:09Speaker 2: and compulsive line combine to see the President claim with
- 25:13Speaker 2: a straight face that illegal border crossings came down when
- 25:18Speaker 2: he became president.
- 25:20Speaker 3: This is next level lefty losing at lunacy.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Look, let's catch something in mind of a border. When
- 25:28Speaker 4: I became president, the numbers came way down, number one,
- 25:31Speaker 4: number two. We had a circumstance where I pushed very
- 25:35Speaker 4: hard from buy a partnersal agreement to put more people
- 25:39Speaker 4: on the borders, more more, more secret services. And guess
- 25:43Speaker 4: what he's on the phone saying, don't do it. Don't
- 25:46Speaker 4: do it? Make me look that.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Did he just claim to have put more Secret Service agents.
- 25:52Speaker 3: On the border. He has cooked folks.
- 25:54Speaker 2: The truth is, are the numbers exploded to record highs
- 25:59Speaker 2: during his president agencies? The record numbers crossed illegally after
- 26:03Speaker 2: Trump had overseen a sharp reduction in legal entries. And
- 26:07Speaker 2: let's not forget this statement from Biden after Jimmy Carter's death.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Will you use the occasion to you guessed it, attack
- 26:16Speaker 2: Donald Trumps from President.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Carter deccy decency. Everybody deserves a shop, everybody. Can you
- 26:35Speaker 4: imagine Jimmy Carter walking by someone who needs something to
- 26:39Speaker 4: just keep walking.
- 26:40Speaker 2: It's from a man who doesn't even acknowledge his own granddaughter,
- 26:45Speaker 2: Hunter's love child down in Arkansas, who the Biden's to
- 26:49Speaker 2: this day refused to acknowledge, whose mother had to take
- 26:52Speaker 2: legal action just to get some financial support for her.
- 26:56Speaker 2: This is a man who wants to lecture us about decency. Okay,
- 27:00Speaker 2: but whatever you may say about old Joe, at least he's.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Not Kamala here is the Veep and want.
- 27:06Speaker 2: To be president giving these words of advice to the
- 27:09Speaker 2: victims of Californian wildfires, and so it's critically important that
- 27:15Speaker 2: to the extent you can find anything that gives you
- 27:18Speaker 2: an ability.
- 27:19Speaker 8: To be patient in this extremely.
- 27:23Speaker 9: Dangerous and unprecedented crisis that you do there.
- 27:29Speaker 2: You go basically amounts to sit down and calm down.
- 27:33Speaker 3: As authorities value.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Again, now this time with the inauguration days away, one
- 27:39Speaker 2: must not forget the lengths the leftist media went to
- 27:43Speaker 2: to cover up President Biden's and Vice President Harris's many deficiencies,
- 27:50Speaker 2: though some of them are trying to rewrite history.
- 27:53Speaker 3: One of the things we also do in the year
- 27:54Speaker 3: end correspondence round Tbile is dig into what was undercovered
- 27:59Speaker 3: or under report.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Jim undercovered, underreported. That would be to me, Joe Biden's
- 28:06Speaker 9: obvious cognizant decline that became undeniable in the televised.
- 28:11Speaker 1: At the presidential debate.
- 28:11Speaker 9: With unquestioned and you know, it's starting to emerge now
- 28:15Speaker 9: that his advisors kind of managed his limitations been reported
- 28:20Speaker 9: in the Wall Street Journal for four years, and yet
- 28:23Speaker 9: he insisted that he could still run for president.
- 28:26Speaker 3: We should have much more.
- 28:27Speaker 9: Forcefully questioned whether he was fit for office for another
- 28:31Speaker 9: four years, which could have led to a primary for
- 28:33Speaker 9: the Democrats. It could have changed the scope of the
- 28:36Speaker 9: entire election.
- 28:37Speaker 2: It's starting to emerge now place it was obvious to
- 28:43Speaker 2: anyone with eyes and ears that the president could barely function.
- 28:46Speaker 2: We reported it here, and we were attacked for it
- 28:49Speaker 2: over and over again. Let me quote Congressman Byron Donald,
- 28:53Speaker 2: so had this to say for those in the media
- 28:56Speaker 2: who have now decided to discuss Biden's mental condition. They
- 29:00Speaker 2: decided to discuss it when it no longer mattered. They
- 29:04Speaker 2: blamed it on a stutter. They blamed it on Russian disinfo.
- 29:07Speaker 2: They blamed it on cheap fakes. They hit him at
- 29:10Speaker 2: every opportunity, They scripted every public event, They denied her
- 29:14Speaker 2: report findings, They sent him on vacation for five hundred
- 29:18Speaker 2: and seventy days. They brazenly lied to.
- 29:20Speaker 3: You for years.
- 29:22Speaker 2: This could be the biggest presidential cover up in American history,
- 29:25Speaker 2: and the media defended it all until they got exposed
- 29:29Speaker 2: at the debate. Don't let the media gaslight you. This
- 29:33Speaker 2: story existed for years and they avoided it on purpose.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Here here, I couldn't have said it better myself. Every
- 29:40Speaker 2: single word there is true, and one of the very
- 29:43Speaker 2: worst in the media. Don Lemon had this recent meltdown
- 29:48Speaker 2: about Maga. He seems to have forgotten that Donald Trump
- 29:51Speaker 2: actually won the election in a landslide.
- 29:54Speaker 3: He's I don't know. He thinks it's all fallen apart
- 29:58Speaker 3: for Maga.
- 29:59Speaker 8: Dom idiots. Now you're just figuring this out. You're so
- 30:04Speaker 8: stupid and you deserve it. You deserve it because you're
- 30:08Speaker 8: so dumb.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Jim. It's hypocrisy. So go with me here.
- 30:12Speaker 8: Yes, I am gloating over your stupidity and how you
- 30:15Speaker 8: were taken con.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I'm cracking. I'm cackling in Kamala.
- 30:20Speaker 8: You know what they're saying about the anti immigrant stuff, right,
- 30:26Speaker 8: who's in to say that one of the jobs you
- 30:28Speaker 8: might be seeking won't be one of those white jobs.
- 30:33Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh
- 30:36Speaker 8: my gosh ah.
- 30:37Speaker 2: It can only be a matter of time before the
- 30:40Speaker 2: men in white coats come and take Don away to
- 30:42Speaker 2: a nice paddned room. Good lord, And here is Jim
- 30:46Speaker 2: Acosta with a human potato, where they both, surprise, surprise,
- 30:50Speaker 2: believe the Biden White House should be censoring for a speech.
- 30:54Speaker 10: Meta has a lot of business before the US government,
- 30:57Speaker 10: and I think that's als really what this is all about.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah, he's complaining.
- 31:00Speaker 10: About the Biden administration, you know, yelling at them to say,
- 31:03Speaker 10: you know, get some of this COVID misinformation off of
- 31:05Speaker 10: their platforms.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I mean, isn't that.
- 31:07Speaker 8: That's sort of what the White House should be.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Doing, right dar Sticking with the media, here is sixty
- 31:12Speaker 2: minutes Leslie.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Stone claiming the economy Trump.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Is inheriting is great, and trying again and again to
- 31:21Speaker 2: get the CEO of JB. Morgan Chase to criticize Donald
- 31:25Speaker 2: Trump's policies.
- 31:27Speaker 11: He is inheriting a pretty good economy despite what people feel.
- 31:32Speaker 11: All these metrics that you see, But what about advice
- 31:36Speaker 11: to him on some of the policies that he's threatening
- 31:40Speaker 11: to do that could hurt the economy? For instance, tariffs.
- 31:43Speaker 11: Have you talked to him about tariffs? If you could
- 31:46Speaker 11: talk to him right now, what would you say.
- 31:48Speaker 10: I have not spoken about tariffs. I think you should
- 31:51Speaker 10: be the art of the deal. He's the negotiator. He
- 31:54Speaker 10: lays out some very tough things and sometimes it works.
- 31:57Speaker 10: We have to worry more about now security resilience. The
- 32:00Speaker 10: first fight supply chains and we didn't. And also we
- 32:04Speaker 10: should worry more about who would hurt Tariff's ary way,
- 32:07Speaker 10: every tool proper used that can help get some of
- 32:11Speaker 10: those Isians result.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Oh, she wasn't done yet. She was going to try again.
- 32:15Speaker 11: Your relationship with him story. We all read that you
- 32:19Speaker 11: called her, congratulated him, and he wouldn't take the call.
- 32:22Speaker 10: That wasn't true.
- 32:23Speaker 3: It was no, No, it wasn't true. Leslie should be
- 32:26Speaker 3: used to that.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Remember when she claimed to President Trump's face that the
- 32:31Speaker 2: Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation, that there was
- 32:35Speaker 2: no evidence of Joe Biden being the recipient of financial
- 32:39Speaker 2: benefits from his son's dodgy business dealings. She also claimed
- 32:43Speaker 2: there was no evidence that they spied on Donald Trump's campaign.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Don't forget this.
- 32:48Speaker 12: The biggest scandal was when they spied in my campaign.
- 32:52Speaker 3: They spied in my campaign.
- 32:53Speaker 11: There's no real evidence of that.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Of course there is.
- 32:56Speaker 4: It's all over the place, Leslie, they spied on my
- 32:59Speaker 4: campaign again?
- 33:00Speaker 11: Can I say something? You know, this is sixty minutes
- 33:04Speaker 11: and we can't put on things we can't verify.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Because it's Biden.
- 33:09Speaker 3: We can't put on things.
- 33:10Speaker 11: We can't verify my camp, we can't verify it totally verified.
- 33:15Speaker 3: And now that same journalist is upset that trust in
- 33:19Speaker 3: the media is that his story glows. People do not
- 33:22Speaker 3: trust these lifty active as masquerading as journalists.
- 33:25Speaker 11: I'm shocked if you watch the opinion of us, how
- 33:30Speaker 11: many people trust the press anymore. I mean, we're way
- 33:34Speaker 11: down there with the lawyers. This is really rough. As
- 33:37Speaker 11: you know, your way down there with Congress exactly. I mean,
- 33:41Speaker 11: we're way down there with Congress. But we're way down there,
- 33:44Speaker 11: and I despair, seriously. I worry greatly, and I think
- 33:50Speaker 11: there are other institutions that have been suffering. And you're
- 33:53Speaker 11: right not to blame Donald Trump one hundred percent. Obviously
- 33:57Speaker 11: started many years before. But we're at a point where
- 34:01Speaker 11: if the President of the United States is going to
- 34:04Speaker 11: say legacy media is dead, well, I guess Musk said
- 34:08Speaker 11: that legacy media is dead, and.
- 34:11Speaker 1: He wants it dead. He wants other media.
- 34:13Speaker 11: But it is kind of sort of hobbling right now,
- 34:18Speaker 11: and I don't know how it recovers. I'm very just
- 34:23Speaker 11: I'm very dark about it.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Ooh, she's very dark about it. The kids call that
- 34:27Speaker 2: faffo fafo. Google it, Leslie. What you're saying is.
- 34:32Speaker 3: The consequences of your actions here is another grown man
- 34:36Speaker 3: telling vulnerable kids that powerful drugs and irreversible surgeries are
- 34:40Speaker 3: perfectly safe. Everything you're about to hear is a lie,
- 34:45Speaker 3: a dangerous lie. And I've got to add this clown
- 34:48Speaker 3: as a TV.
- 34:48Speaker 13: Host gender affirming here in maners. First of all, puberty blockers.
- 34:53Speaker 13: Puberty blockers are safe, and interestingly, puberty blockers are given
- 34:57Speaker 13: to cisgender kids.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Now when little girls are little.
- 34:59Speaker 13: Boys EXPERI it's precocious puberty, meaning puberty very early, around
- 35:02Speaker 13: like four, five, six seven, they'll be given puberty blockers
- 35:06Speaker 13: to delay puberty, not prevent it, so that when they're
- 35:09Speaker 13: closer to like, you know, twelve thirteen, they can get
- 35:10Speaker 13: off the puberty blockers and then puberty happens. As typical
- 35:13Speaker 13: as far as long term fertility issues, puberty blockers have
- 35:16Speaker 13: no link to long term fertility issues. And trans young
- 35:20Speaker 13: people are not getting gender reassignment surgery. They're not getting
- 35:23Speaker 13: top surgery. They're not getting bottom surgery until they are
- 35:26Speaker 13: seventeen eighteen, sometimes sixteen for top surgery, but they have
- 35:30Speaker 13: to have parental consent.
- 35:31Speaker 3: That's clearized. Jonathan van Ness another celebrity gender propagandas who
- 35:36Speaker 3: kin'd even stick to his own nonsense.
- 35:39Speaker 2: He says, kids aren't getting these top surgeries and bottom
- 35:42Speaker 2: surgeries except when they're what's sixteen? That's under at eight
- 35:46Speaker 2: in my book, if with parental consent, as if that
- 35:48Speaker 2: makes it okay. And we're talking here about mutilating confused kids,
- 35:53Speaker 2: removing healthy breasts at sixteen, perhaps a penis, and thinking
- 35:58Speaker 2: it's justifiable. Goodness, me now saved the best for last.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Have a look at these absolute simpletons, these leftist agitators
- 36:07Speaker 2: who think a member of her Mass and Islamus terror
- 36:11Speaker 2: group would be more LGBT friendly than a typical Trump supporter.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Just when you think that the left can't get any
- 36:19Speaker 2: more stupid, that can't surprise you.
- 36:22Speaker 14: Between these two choices, who would you say is more
- 36:24Speaker 14: likely to be supportive of the LGBTQ community? Okay, why
- 36:28Speaker 14: would you.
- 36:28Speaker 9: Say that because he's a brown person and he's not
- 36:31Speaker 9: for Trump?
- 36:32Speaker 14: Do you think the fact that he's part of how
- 36:33Speaker 14: Mass would stop him from supporting that community.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Not at all?
- 36:36Speaker 5: Probably number one?
- 36:37Speaker 14: Number one? Why would you say that? Because Trump supporters
- 36:41Speaker 14: are typically anti lgbt Do you think so somebody that's
- 36:45Speaker 14: a member of how Mass would they support the LGBTQ community.
- 36:50Speaker 14: You know, I'm not sure number one. Okay, what makes
- 36:54Speaker 14: you say that they're just the kind of kinder Do
- 36:58Speaker 14: you think that, you know, somebody that's saying them of
- 37:00Speaker 14: hamas would be supportive of the gear community. Yeah, what
- 37:04Speaker 14: do you think?
- 37:04Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 37:05Speaker 3: Maybe Hans number one, he lets all a friendly.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Still to come, more lefties losing at content, including California
- 37:14Speaker 2: approving funding to fight Trump instead of relief for its
- 37:18Speaker 2: wildfire victims.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Josh Hammer has the latest welcome back.
- 37:32Speaker 2: We've got plenty more lefties losing at content with my
- 37:35Speaker 2: next guest, including some exciting developments for Judge Merchant.
- 37:39Speaker 3: You know that guy.
- 37:40Speaker 2: He oversaw Trump's sham trial in New York. But let's
- 37:45Speaker 2: start with California, where you'd think they'd be focused on
- 37:48Speaker 2: approving disaster relief, fixing their hopelessly inept fire response. But no, instead,
- 37:54Speaker 2: they've just held a special session to prepare for Donald Trump,
- 37:59Speaker 2: and they've.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Approved a twenty five million.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Dollar war chest for any potential legal battles with the
- 38:05Speaker 2: Trump administration.
- 38:07Speaker 15: Despite several empty seats in the chamber because of the
- 38:10Speaker 15: LA wildfires, the Democratic State Assembly gaveled into its special
- 38:14Speaker 15: legislative session to prepare for incoming President Donald Trump.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I'd asked that you keep in mind.
- 38:19Speaker 15: Governor Newsom called the special session shortly after the election.
- 38:23Speaker 15: As fires raged in southern California. State lawmakers still prioritized
- 38:27Speaker 15: their anti Trump work. They established a committee and set
- 38:31Speaker 15: a hearing for the legislation that sets aside twenty five
- 38:34Speaker 15: million dollars to prepare for legal battles with the incoming administration.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Of course, Rainbow Flags Everywhere.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Joining me now is Newsweek's senior editor at Large and
- 38:43Speaker 2: Article three projects Senior Council Josh Hammer. Josh, what can
- 38:48Speaker 2: be done about California? And I do wonder whether this
- 38:53Speaker 2: disastrous inept fire response is going to act as a
- 38:58Speaker 2: red pill for for the state for so many who've
- 39:03Speaker 2: just voted Democrat without him and thinking about.
- 39:05Speaker 16: It, well read a great to be back with you
- 39:08Speaker 16: happy twenty twenty five. You know, look, I would propose
- 39:11Speaker 16: a trade to the country of Denmark, to the Kingdom
- 39:14Speaker 16: of Denmark here, why don't we trade you guys California,
- 39:17Speaker 16: and in exchange you give us bad Greenland? Seems like
- 39:19Speaker 16: a win win from my perspective there, I mean, Donald
- 39:21Speaker 16: Trump seems to really want Greenland. I mean, California has
- 39:24Speaker 16: been going down the tubes for decades now, but it
- 39:27Speaker 16: is really accelerated under Governor Gavin Newsom's tenure. He's the
- 39:30Speaker 16: first governor in the entire history of the state of California.
- 39:33Speaker 16: California became a state in the eighteen fifties, and literally
- 39:36Speaker 16: from then until the twenty twenty United States Census, California
- 39:40Speaker 16: always gained seats in the representation in the US Congress.
- 39:44Speaker 16: This is the first time they lost seats. That happened
- 39:47Speaker 16: under Gavin Newsom's tenure there. It's the highest cost of
- 39:50Speaker 16: living in the state there. But look as it pertains
- 39:52Speaker 16: to this recent special session, Rita, he's been too busy
- 39:55Speaker 16: trump proofing the state. He forgot to fireproof this state.
- 39:58Speaker 16: I mean, look at what they've been doing in Sacramento.
- 40:01Speaker 16: He forgot to put water in the water hydrants there.
- 40:03Speaker 16: But No, in a media interview just a few days ago,
- 40:06Speaker 16: now he says, Oh, you know what's it's the local
- 40:08Speaker 16: person's problem. They're going to figure it out there. It's
- 40:10Speaker 16: a problem for the people on the spot. No, sir,
- 40:12Speaker 16: you are the governor of the nation's largest state, the
- 40:15Speaker 16: most populous state, the state that still has the largest
- 40:18Speaker 16: GDP and so forth and so forth. There you are
- 40:21Speaker 16: ultimately where the buck stops there. And I don't know
- 40:24Speaker 16: what's going to happen to the state of California. I
- 40:26Speaker 16: wish I could come on your program read and say
- 40:28Speaker 16: to you that I think California is going to be
- 40:30Speaker 16: red pilled as a result of this, maybe on the margins,
- 40:33Speaker 16: but I would be remiss if I made a confident
- 40:35Speaker 16: prediction that that state is going to start voting for
- 40:37Speaker 16: Donald Trump and Republicans anytime soon. But even a marginal
- 40:40Speaker 16: shift away from just being a totalitarian one party state,
- 40:43Speaker 16: I think will be something quite beneficial.
- 40:47Speaker 3: I think you're right.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I think by the time they're going to go back
- 40:51Speaker 2: to the polls, this will sadly be forgotten. And so
- 40:55Speaker 2: much more the fact that you've got a exodus of people.
- 40:59Speaker 2: California is so blessed. It's just the most beautiful state.
- 41:03Speaker 2: You've got the beach, you've got the mountains, you've got
- 41:06Speaker 2: everything going for you, and yet you've got people leaving
- 41:09Speaker 2: in record numbers, going to states like Texas and Florida
- 41:12Speaker 2: and Tennessee Republican states because it is so difficult to
- 41:17Speaker 2: live there unless you're uber wealthy. Now, this is an
- 41:20Speaker 2: important development. Incoming FBI Director Cash Battel has promised to
- 41:25Speaker 2: investigate a progressive political consulting firm owned by Lauren Merchant,
- 41:31Speaker 2: the daughter of one Merchant, the judge in Trump's hush
- 41:36Speaker 2: money case. Here is a Cash Battel on Fox News earlier.
- 41:40Speaker 12: I'm calling for the subpoenas to be issued to judg
- 41:42Speaker 12: Merchant's daughter's company, who made fifteen plus million dollars from
- 41:46Speaker 12: the illicit information pouring out of her father's courtroom. I
- 41:49Speaker 12: want to know all the bank records, because money doesn't lie.
- 41:52Speaker 12: I want to know how deep it is and how
- 41:54Speaker 12: much of it went to the family, and how much
- 41:55Speaker 12: of it is going to the family after this false conviction.
- 41:59Speaker 12: And then we need to investigate the FBC actual violations
- 42:02Speaker 12: that this judge and his family conducted because he should
- 42:05Speaker 12: never have been overseeing this trial to begin with, because
- 42:08Speaker 12: of the illicit campaign money that was flowing through there.
- 42:10Speaker 12: And the unconstitutional due process violations are only the beginning.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Josh, what do we know about the money she was
- 42:18Speaker 3: able to raise? Is it true she used.
- 42:21Speaker 2: The case her father was overseeing an email's soliciting donations.
- 42:28Speaker 16: So, first of all, this is exactly why cash Bettel
- 42:30Speaker 16: is a perfect pit to lead the nation's FBI, and
- 42:32Speaker 16: they try to bring the FBI back to a modicum
- 42:34Speaker 16: of respectability because he cares about getting to the bottom
- 42:37Speaker 16: of blatantly corrupt scandals, which the FBI has been ground
- 42:40Speaker 16: zero of for the past seven eight nine years, going
- 42:43Speaker 16: back all the way to the first Trump campaign in
- 42:44Speaker 16: twenty sixteen. To your question, though, yes, yes, a thousand
- 42:48Speaker 16: times yes. Lauren Mrshan is her name. She she works
- 42:51Speaker 16: for a company called Authentic Campaigns. It is a Democratic
- 42:54Speaker 16: Party aligned progressive fundraising vehicle. They distribute money to Democratic
- 42:58Speaker 16: officials and left wing causes. There she was absolutely fundraising
- 43:02Speaker 16: on her day job based on the fact that her
- 43:05Speaker 16: daddy was to become the first judge to sentence a
- 43:08Speaker 16: former and now soon to be president President President of
- 43:11Speaker 16: the United States, Walmreshan himself. By the way, let's not
- 43:14Speaker 16: let him off the hook easily. It's not just his daughter.
- 43:16Speaker 16: Wan more Shon himself donated twenty dollars to the Biden
- 43:20Speaker 16: Harris campaign in twenty twenty. Seems like a small sum,
- 43:22Speaker 16: but the fact that he donating in the first place
- 43:24Speaker 16: he specifically earmarked that donation incidentally to the cause get Trump.
- 43:29Speaker 16: This guy never in a million years should have been
- 43:31Speaker 16: on this case. In the first case there, he had
- 43:34Speaker 16: a million opportunities to accuse himself. He rejected it over
- 43:37Speaker 16: and over and over again. He should have declared a
- 43:39Speaker 16: mistrial after the Trump versus the United States case at
- 43:41Speaker 16: the United States Supreme Court in light of the presidential
- 43:44Speaker 16: Meni decision there. He's done everything wrong since day one there.
- 43:48Speaker 16: But ultimately he's an egomaniac. That's why he put in
- 43:51Speaker 16: audio recording on sentencing day on Friday, because he wanted
- 43:54Speaker 16: the history books readA to remember that he was the
- 43:56Speaker 16: first guy who sentenced a former president of the United
- 43:59Speaker 16: States for one rashan. This thing is going to get
- 44:01Speaker 16: tossed on a plasapp So this whole stupid convicted felon thing,
- 44:05Speaker 16: unconditional discharge. Let them get their day in the sun.
- 44:08Speaker 16: It's gonna last a matter of weeks, maybe even shorter
- 44:10Speaker 16: than that.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I remember speaking to legal experts who observed some of
- 44:17Speaker 2: this case, and they said it was an absolute sham.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It was a travesty that this was happening in a
- 44:25Speaker 2: first world nation, sort of thing you'd expect to see
- 44:27Speaker 2: in some sort of banana republic. Now we've seen Mark Zuckerberg,
- 44:32Speaker 2: the CEO of Meta, deal away with the leftist activists
- 44:39Speaker 2: masquerading as fact checkers on sites like Facebook and Instagram.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Zuckerberg is now pretending to be some sort of defender
- 44:47Speaker 2: of free speech. Well, he is now that Americans have
- 44:50Speaker 2: reelected Donald Trump. But should we trust him, Josh, because
- 44:56Speaker 2: when it mattered, he was complicit in set answering and
- 45:00Speaker 2: suppressing free speech. He donated hundreds of millions of dollars
- 45:04Speaker 2: of his own money, I'd argue to fortify the twenty
- 45:08Speaker 2: twenty election. I can't don't trust this guy as far
- 45:11Speaker 2: as I can throw him. But I'm seeing a lot
- 45:14Speaker 2: of people be receptive to this backflip of his. What
- 45:20Speaker 2: are your feelings about Meta and Zuckerberg in particular, because
- 45:27Speaker 2: I'm just feel like he just goes with whoever's holding power.
- 45:31Speaker 2: If Kamala Harris had won, none of this would be happening.
- 45:37Speaker 16: Yeah, I mean, let's off again, Mark Zuckerberg. You know,
- 45:39Speaker 16: to your points about using this kind of tongue in
- 45:41Speaker 16: cheek euphemism about Fortify and the twenty twenty election, you
- 45:43Speaker 16: know he spent four hundred million dollars four hundred million
- 45:46Speaker 16: dollars in so called Zucker Box. He did probably more
- 45:49Speaker 16: than any individual in the world other than possibly George
- 45:54Speaker 16: Soros himself to tip that election to Joe Biden and
- 45:57Speaker 16: Kamala Harris. So a little bit of a Johnny completely
- 45:59Speaker 16: thing here to put him mildly. Nonetheless, he is on
- 46:02Speaker 16: this grand elaborate Maya culpla tour at started this past August.
- 46:05Speaker 16: He wrote this letter to Jim Jordan on House Judiciary Committee,
- 46:08Speaker 16: finally fessing up for the first time to the fact
- 46:10Speaker 16: that they censored COVID nineteen information, censored the Hunter Biden laptop.
- 46:13Speaker 16: Now he's doing Joe Rogan's podcast, he's flying to mar
- 46:15Speaker 16: A Lago. I'm not buying it. I'm with you. I
- 46:17Speaker 16: don't think this guy is sincere whatsoever. I guess the
- 46:20Speaker 16: only additional points I would make is if he's actually
- 46:23Speaker 16: making concrete changes, and he just made This guy Joel
- 46:26Speaker 16: Kaplan a former George W. Bush White House attorney, a
- 46:29Speaker 16: longtime DC Republican. He is now the head of Global
- 46:32Speaker 16: Affairs of METAF. I have his title right there. So
- 46:35Speaker 16: he's positioning he's trying to position his company well for
- 46:37Speaker 16: the second Donald Trump term. He's basically just trying to
- 46:40Speaker 16: make sure that Donald Trump's anti trust cops don't start
- 46:43Speaker 16: busting on Meta forcing them to divest Instagram, WhatsApp for
- 46:46Speaker 16: the various other assets there. That's what's actually going on here.
- 46:49Speaker 16: But as long as he's actually doing real steps to
- 46:52Speaker 16: get free speech back on Facebook, Instagram, And to be clear,
- 46:55Speaker 16: I have a distrust but still verify approach to this.
- 46:57Speaker 16: I don't trust him for a second, but less I
- 47:00Speaker 16: guess let's take the progress.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Absolutely it's a positive move.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Ann You look at the numbers of people who use
- 47:08Speaker 2: Facebook every day, you use Instagram. If these changes are
- 47:13Speaker 2: going to be implemented properly, then it is going to
- 47:17Speaker 2: make a huge difference.
- 47:19Speaker 3: But yeah, I do not trust Mark Zuckerberg, not yet.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Now the musical lineup for Donald Trump's inauguration has been revealed.
- 47:28Speaker 2: We've got country music superstar carry On Underwood taking part
- 47:33Speaker 2: the Village People. We know he loves the Village People,
- 47:36Speaker 2: as well as a couple of Trump's favorite country singer
- 47:40Speaker 2: League Greenwood, opera singer Christopher Marcio.
- 47:43Speaker 3: They're all going to be performing.
- 47:45Speaker 2: I'm particularly excited Josh about Kerry Underwood, and it's pretty
- 47:49Speaker 2: brave of her to do this. She is a mainstream star,
- 47:53Speaker 2: she is a superstar, and we know how intolerant and
- 47:57Speaker 2: far left entertainment industry has become. So is she going
- 48:02Speaker 2: to get some blowback over this?
- 48:05Speaker 16: Well, I'm actually a country music mega fan. That's basically
- 48:07Speaker 16: all I listened to. So let me just real quick
- 48:09Speaker 16: say that Toby Keith should have been here performing for
- 48:12Speaker 16: Donald Trump on his on his second inauguration. He performed
- 48:15Speaker 16: back in twenty sixteen, but unfortunately Toby Keith Salley passed
- 48:18Speaker 16: aways to come to stomach cancer far too young, back
- 48:20Speaker 16: in September twenty twenty three, so made his memory be
- 48:23Speaker 16: a blessing. I am very happy that carry Underwood is
- 48:25Speaker 16: performing here. I mean, she is an absolute megastar. I'll
- 48:28Speaker 16: be honest with you. I had no idea that she
- 48:29Speaker 16: was right leaning. I had no idea what her politics were.
- 48:31Speaker 16: She hasn't really previously revealed them at all here. You know,
- 48:34Speaker 16: country music as an institution based in Nashville, Tennessee, it's
- 48:37Speaker 16: still based in the South. Their fan base is still
- 48:40Speaker 16: by and large right of center. The kind of people
- 48:42Speaker 16: that are salt of the Earth, go to church on Sundays.
- 48:45Speaker 16: But you've had a lot of woke stuff still emerging
- 48:48Speaker 16: from the country music industry. So between Carrie Underwood here,
- 48:51Speaker 16: Jason al Dean his hit Try That in a Small Town,
- 48:54Speaker 16: his wife going on Tucker Carlson's old show on Fox News,
- 48:57Speaker 16: You're starting to see some of the mega stars kind
- 48:59Speaker 16: of come home to their own fan base there and again.
- 49:01Speaker 16: As a longtime country music diehard fan, I'm loving it.
- 49:06Speaker 3: I'm with you one hundred percent, Josh.
- 49:08Speaker 2: I'm a huge country fan too, and it's good to
- 49:10Speaker 2: be reclaiming the genre from the pretenders.
- 49:14Speaker 3: That's all the time we've got, folks.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I'll be going off to the inauguration tomorrow, but I'll
- 49:19Speaker 2: see you Friday for LEFTI is Losing and don't miss that.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Up next is Newsnight,
