- 0:10Speaker 1: Hello, Welcome to the Inside the Birds postgame show. Jeff Mosher,
- 0:14Speaker 1: Adam Kaplan, and Man the Eagles. In Week twelve, they
- 0:19Speaker 1: lose to the Dallas Cowboys twenty four to twenty one
- 0:22Speaker 1: in a game that they were dominating and pulverizing the
- 0:26Speaker 1: Cowboys for about fifteen minutes as they built a twenty
- 0:30Speaker 1: one nothing lead, And Adam, I know throughout the week
- 0:34Speaker 1: on Monday Tuesday, people are gonna look at the turnovers,
- 0:37Speaker 1: the fumble by Saquon Barkley, the fumble by Xavier Gibson.
- 0:41Speaker 1: They're gonna say, if the Eagles don't fumble, they don't
- 0:44Speaker 1: lose the game. And maybe they're right. But they lost
- 0:47Speaker 1: the game not because of those two fumbles. They lost
- 0:50Speaker 1: the game because they can't sustain an offense and it
- 0:54Speaker 1: finally caught up to them in a bad way. They
- 0:57Speaker 1: did not score a single point after going up twenty
- 1:00Speaker 1: one nothing. They had three and outs, they had turnovers,
- 1:02Speaker 1: they had penalties, and this is a repetitive team.
- 1:06Speaker 2: The reason why the offense collapsed in the second half
- 1:09Speaker 2: simple penalties. This is how scary it is when you
- 1:13Speaker 2: look at penalties. Say's seventeen accepted penalties seventeen. And it's
- 1:18Speaker 2: funny because I was charting this, it was at one
- 1:20Speaker 2: point it was like it was like eight to four
- 1:23Speaker 2: cas seven to four Cowboys. I'm like, all right, some
- 1:27Speaker 2: kind of odd penalties, and then they just one thing
- 1:29Speaker 2: after another. Then the Xavier Gibson bonehead decision. Unfortunately heard
- 1:33Speaker 2: a shoulder by the way in that play. But yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 2: it was a comedy of ours. But Petula caught a
- 1:37Speaker 2: very good game, very aggressive love. I loved it. Got
- 1:40Speaker 2: Hurts involved early with the short passing game, with the
- 1:43Speaker 2: play action passes to the flat to flat pass, which
- 1:47Speaker 2: we've talked about before, got them involved early, got them comfortable,
- 1:51Speaker 2: got him accurate. Protection early was excellent. They had twenty
- 1:54Speaker 2: one points. They scored fourteen. Just a small correction. They
- 1:57Speaker 2: scored fourteen in the first quarter. They scored seven in
- 1:59Speaker 2: a second. Yeah, like you said, they're up, they're up
- 2:02Speaker 2: twenty one. Nothing. Dallas did score late in the second quarter.
- 2:07Speaker 2: But it was kind of like, Okay, well, they're they're
- 2:10Speaker 2: doing fine. Their defense isn't bad, and the defense is
- 2:13Speaker 2: hanging in there because Dallas is the thrower. They're getting crushed. Then, uh,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and I can't believe I'm saying this, But at Joriye
- 2:20Speaker 2: Jackson getting hurt, you know he had you know he
- 2:23Speaker 2: had a head injury. He was being checked for concussion.
- 2:26Speaker 2: They didn't say he had one, but you would think
- 2:28Speaker 2: he had one because he didn't. We didn't see him
- 2:29Speaker 2: come back as we suspected what happened. Coop went to corner.
- 2:34Speaker 2: We've talked about this before. That's probably gonna be what
- 2:36Speaker 2: they're gonna do. And it isn't ironic. The one play
- 2:39Speaker 2: that Ringo plays, he gets a penalty. Poor guy. Overall, Look,
- 2:44Speaker 2: this is one that they're gonna they're gonna be embarrassed about. Upset.
- 2:49Speaker 2: The playing home can't be fun. But they're gonna have
- 2:51Speaker 2: to put it behind them rather quickly because they play
- 2:53Speaker 2: the Bears somehow have the same record as the Eagles
- 2:57Speaker 2: in eight three.
- 2:59Speaker 1: They do, and maybe these injuries that they suffered in
- 3:02Speaker 1: the game will play apart because it's a short turnaround.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We'll have to see what happens there. But the one
- 3:07Speaker 1: thing that I just can't get past is I think
- 3:10Speaker 1: what it shows you is the without a run game
- 3:13Speaker 1: and without an offense that is sustaining, their margin of
- 3:17Speaker 1: error is very small, and they for eleven weeks. They've
- 3:21Speaker 1: done a great job of protecting the ball, not turning
- 3:24Speaker 1: it over a run game. If they were had converted
- 3:33Speaker 1: maybe on two or three more third downs from the
- 3:36Speaker 1: second quarter on, they might win this game going away.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But they can't, and they really haven't been able. This
- 3:42Speaker 1: looked like the Rams game. It looked like the Broncos game,
- 3:45Speaker 1: certainly the Broncos game because they lost that after being
- 3:48Speaker 1: up I think seventeen nothing.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And by the way, the Bucks game. Yeah, just we're
- 3:51Speaker 2: gonna say you mentioned the Bucks. The Broncos game. So
- 3:55Speaker 2: hurts this season. This is the most Archie he's thrown
- 4:00Speaker 2: the season in the first half and most attempts other
- 4:04Speaker 2: than that Denver game, nineteen attempts, and I think he
- 4:06Speaker 2: had like one to sixty four in the first half.
- 4:09Speaker 2: The man penalties were terrible. Fred Johnson's one was bad.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Look at see here's the thing you say, like second half, Yes,
- 4:15Speaker 2: they didn't score that to fact self inflict the wounds
- 4:18Speaker 2: where protection was good, penalty penalty her held on the ball.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So we can't see without coaching tap, we don't know.
- 4:25Speaker 2: We tape inside the tape tomorrow, so I'll talk to
- 4:28Speaker 2: Greg about it. But comedy of errors in the second half.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It funny. My friend was a Cowboys family texted me.
- 4:34Speaker 2: He goes, man, I guess we're giving this away to
- 4:35Speaker 2: Philly and go, well, Eagles have outplayed him, but you're right,
- 4:38Speaker 2: stupid crap happened. Then Eagles took that over in the
- 4:41Speaker 2: second half. It's just it's incredible. I mean it's like
- 4:44Speaker 2: you could see you could see it happening. But yet
- 4:46Speaker 2: the defense of the first half and points a third
- 4:50Speaker 2: quarter saved the day. Like they Eagles turn it over
- 4:53Speaker 2: or they punt, and the defense would handle themselves really well.
- 4:57Speaker 2: And then the dam broke when Jackson came out and
- 5:01Speaker 2: Coop did not play well at outside corner. We'll have
- 5:03Speaker 2: to see how many arts he gave up. But he
- 5:05Speaker 2: got handed a little bit. It's tough to do that.
- 5:07Speaker 2: We know in base when they play it, which is
- 5:09Speaker 2: very little. He does play that, but he did play
- 5:12Speaker 2: outside and he got got a little bit big plays.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he did. I's so let's start with the offense, right,
- 5:19Speaker 1: And it wasn't just second half. It was really about
- 5:20Speaker 1: the last forty two minutes of the game that they
- 5:23Speaker 1: were unable to score. I have trouble. I agree with
- 5:27Speaker 1: you in that they did stay aggressive as far as
- 5:30Speaker 1: taking shots downfield trying to get the ball to a J.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Brown.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I guess my larger issue is I have just a
- 5:36Speaker 1: tough time crediting anybody involved with this offensive staff or
- 5:40Speaker 1: this offense as players of giving too much credit because
- 5:43Speaker 1: it's the same thing week after It's the same route
- 5:47Speaker 1: the ball right, and they've been on and I have
- 5:51Speaker 1: to say they've been unable to figure it out. And
- 5:53Speaker 1: to me, that's a reflection of coaching. And I listen,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we've praised his coaching staff. They're a good coaching staff,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but they're in a rut, can't figure it out.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I'm Stout, Look, he's it. Not every run game coordinator
- 6:06Speaker 2: actually is response for the run game, believe it or not.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Sometimes it's just the title give somebody more money. But
- 6:10Speaker 2: that's not the case here. Stout designs the run games,
- 6:13Speaker 2: his decision on a lot of this stuff, and it's
- 6:16Speaker 2: been a disaster. People want to point to Barkley not
- 6:19Speaker 2: as good as last year. I'm not going to argue
- 6:20Speaker 2: against it. Tape shows it a little bit, but they
- 6:23Speaker 2: on your what you're you're you're talking about this the sustainability.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It's clearly the run game. The past game was mostly
- 6:29Speaker 2: really good. But we're going to have to find out
- 6:31Speaker 2: what happened in the second half of hurtz was holding
- 6:33Speaker 2: on the ballt along where guy's not getting open, where
- 6:35Speaker 2: they're getting open. Was he hold on the ball to line?
- 6:36Speaker 2: We won't know till the tape shows the table tell
- 6:38Speaker 2: us everything. There are a couple of interesting developments. I
- 6:42Speaker 2: got to see what the snapcounts look like look like
- 6:44Speaker 2: in the first half or parts of the game, Cooper
- 6:46Speaker 2: was playing over Dotson and Cooper did have two catches
- 6:49Speaker 2: of the game. They weren't for very much, but it
- 6:51Speaker 2: was just interesting that that happened. I mean, Goddard had
- 6:54Speaker 2: they got Goddard has again they it wasn't him. It
- 6:58Speaker 2: was another penalty passing the flat play. Action passed to
- 7:01Speaker 2: the flat perfect play would have been a first down
- 7:03Speaker 2: gets called back. They had a bunch of players called
- 7:06Speaker 2: back of this game. I just it was embarrassing. It
- 7:08Speaker 2: was you can't lose games like this. You want to
- 7:10Speaker 2: blame two injuries. Second half, Yes, that hurt that they
- 7:13Speaker 2: had their that crushed their defense, no, no doubt, no doubt.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And then the pass rush. There are individual times where
- 7:20Speaker 2: they got to to Prescott, but overall it was not there.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And but the big story we didn't mention it yet.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Their run defense was atrocious. I thought. I'm just telling
- 7:30Speaker 2: you as someone who was a DeVante Gavanti Williams huge
- 7:34Speaker 2: fan when it came out of North Carolina. He's never
- 7:36Speaker 2: been the same since the knee injury. I know that
- 7:38Speaker 2: he gets a lot of touchdowns, It's not what I'm
- 7:40Speaker 2: talking about. He's not explosive at all. He's decisive downhill.
- 7:44Speaker 2: A little bit of wiggle they had so he had
- 7:47Speaker 2: so much room to run. I'm stunned by that. Malie
- 7:50Speaker 2: Davis had that run up the middle. Okay, who was
- 7:53Speaker 2: Who's more of a change that we came in in
- 7:55Speaker 2: back of them. Their run defense is another thing which
- 7:58Speaker 2: was really stung to me because we were saying for
- 8:00Speaker 2: weeks while they got the run defense really going well
- 8:02Speaker 2: here oops, not so much.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I mean, I thought Dallas would run
- 8:07Speaker 1: the ball better against the Eagles than most because their
- 8:10Speaker 1: offensive line was fully healthy. They have some really good
- 8:13Speaker 1: road graders in the middle. I thought that they would
- 8:15Speaker 1: have a respectable run game to try to work their
- 8:18Speaker 1: play action. They wound up having more than I don't
- 8:22Speaker 1: want to call it backbreaking, but it really did compliment
- 8:26Speaker 1: what they did basically from the second quarter on offensively,
- 8:29Speaker 1: being able to get the ball to George Pickens, who
- 8:32Speaker 1: was murder of the secondary.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Oh and by the way, CD has now six drops
- 8:37Speaker 2: against the Eagles. I mean, geez, I don't know what
- 8:41Speaker 2: it is. He doesn't like to get the Kelly Green
- 8:43Speaker 2: in this one. I don't know, but yeah, Turpin had
- 8:45Speaker 2: the big forty eight yard play. They just Ferguson had
- 8:49Speaker 2: a backbreaking play the nineteen yard are in the second half.
- 8:52Speaker 2: They just it's really surprising. I mean, let's summon up
- 8:55Speaker 2: defensively since we're there. The defense just didn't bring it.
- 8:59Speaker 2: There's no doubt that they certainly in the first half
- 9:01Speaker 2: for like a quarter and a half, they're really good,
- 9:03Speaker 2: really good, and then it run defense. It's not total yards, folks,
- 9:07Speaker 2: look at you. Use your eyes. People bring Oh they
- 9:09Speaker 2: only gave on a hundred nine years. I'n on the
- 9:11Speaker 2: top of the folks, use your damn eyes. Too many
- 9:13Speaker 2: runs up the middle. I know Jomo left with that
- 9:16Speaker 2: wrist injury, but they got they got them before that happened. Uh,
- 9:21Speaker 2: Ty Robinson didn't play today, So that that was that's
- 9:24Speaker 2: disappointed that he's not playing. We haven't really talked about
- 9:26Speaker 2: that much. He did play, he's had a couple of
- 9:28Speaker 2: decent snaps when he's played, but he's barely played. But
- 9:30Speaker 2: that the run defense was a problem, pass rushers a problem. Uh.
- 9:35Speaker 2: That which surprised me because Booker's not I mean a guidance.
- 9:42Speaker 2: He had penalties, he's not that good as a left tackle,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and Timon Steele we've talked about his beat a ball.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I was just kind of surprised. Look at you're never
- 9:48Speaker 2: gonna be perfect. The Eagles were really good in a
- 9:52Speaker 2: year that it's wide open, but defensively, as we go
- 9:56Speaker 2: a little bit more in depth here now now I'm
- 9:59Speaker 2: not I'm not saying Jack to save the day. He
- 10:02Speaker 2: also got B two. Okay, to be clear, if you
- 10:04Speaker 2: want to put stuff that comes, what are you told
- 10:05Speaker 2: me he sucked? He'd to give the stuff at times
- 10:08Speaker 2: he was okay, But the problem is it's what happened
- 10:11Speaker 2: after he left. Coop didn't play well. That that was
- 10:14Speaker 2: a surprise and they just don't have it. I we'll
- 10:16Speaker 2: see if the staf couchs show it tomorrow whether he's
- 10:19Speaker 2: actually on defense. I didn't see Bennett. I saw Amos
- 10:22Speaker 2: special teams. I did not see him on defense.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Hey it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family

- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 1: No, I'm a little perplexed man. You know, you could
- 13:10Speaker 1: have told me the Eagles weren't going to play a
- 13:12Speaker 1: great game, but the way the game started, so many
- 13:16Speaker 1: things wrong had to happen for them to lose that,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and they did, you know. I mean, like you think
- 13:22Speaker 1: about all the penalties, the deep shots that they have
- 13:25Speaker 1: three different the Cowboys have three different receivers, catch up
- 13:28Speaker 1: ball for forty three or longer yards right, and then
- 13:31Speaker 1: of course the fumbles at the end, the missfield goal
- 13:34Speaker 1: by Jake Elliott. It felt like a game of hold
- 13:37Speaker 1: my beer. I mean it really did. Like, oh, the
- 13:40Speaker 1: Dallas had the worst start they could and then the
- 13:42Speaker 1: Eagles are like, no, we can match that.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Aubrey the kicker for Dallas, I couldn't believe you missed
- 13:46Speaker 2: one right. That was aw It was a very odd game.
- 13:49Speaker 2: It was definitely odd. But this as we stay on defense,
- 13:54Speaker 2: it will get over to offense at a minute. Look
- 13:57Speaker 2: the the promic corner Mitchell. I know, Mitchell up a play,
- 14:00Speaker 2: but he's human. He showed he's human. But overall that
- 14:04Speaker 2: that corner opposite Mitchell is a problem. They're not good there.
- 14:07Speaker 2: They knew that coming in. They tried with jy R. Alexander,
- 14:10Speaker 2: who's semi retired. He's on the retired list. I wonder
- 14:14Speaker 2: if he came out of retirement, if he said I
- 14:16Speaker 2: want to play. I mean, they have to take that.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You have to be put on the roster within twenty
- 14:19Speaker 2: four hours. I just wonder if they'd want him to play.
- 14:21Speaker 2: But anyway, they have a problem. I mean it's a problem,
- 14:24Speaker 2: and it showed it. When you don't have a past rush,
- 14:26Speaker 2: consistent past rush with with Pickens, with Lamb Turpens, Vikes,
- 14:32Speaker 2: well so Jalen Tolbert, by the way, was a healthy
- 14:33Speaker 2: inactive That surprised me. It was really odd he.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Was not on the We talked about FLORINOI tak yeah he's.
- 14:40Speaker 2: He's but they were kind of sharing he Tolbert's a
- 14:43Speaker 2: bigger guy. They didn't. Yeah, they had him an actor
- 14:45Speaker 2: because they I guess they felt they only needed four.
- 14:48Speaker 2: And that Brent that that span Ford guy, funny Scootmaker
- 14:52Speaker 2: had a drop. I thought it was a schoolmaker. Nope,
- 14:54Speaker 2: it was eighty nine span Ford with a touchdown.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah. So what is a big picture takeaway from this?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Do you think this is a very concerning loss or
- 15:04Speaker 1: are you just thinking that's it's the Eagles. They played
- 15:06Speaker 1: an inconsistent game and this time they turned the ball
- 15:08Speaker 1: over and lost. Like, how do you after some two
- 15:11Speaker 1: impressive wins that they had against the Lions and the Backers,
- 15:13Speaker 1: where do you see this now? Well?
- 15:15Speaker 2: I would be concerned defensively with the offense shortly, but
- 15:19Speaker 2: i'd be I'd be concerned with the injuries. You've got
- 15:23Speaker 2: the left thigh injury for Blanket Ship. I should have
- 15:28Speaker 2: mentioned that earlier. You could see what happened after Sidney Brown.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I mean Honestly, the more I think about this, it
- 15:34Speaker 2: wasn't just Jackson getting hurt because they're they're Coop didn't
- 15:38Speaker 2: play well. We didn't know he wouldn't play well at corner,
- 15:40Speaker 2: but he didn't. He gave up too many plays and
- 15:42Speaker 2: the well, it was funny Pikett's last big play that
- 15:46Speaker 2: they didn't call it all. He clearly made contact before that,
- 15:48Speaker 2: but they didn't call it him. It's just he was
- 15:50Speaker 2: It just didn't happen. That's a major that. Look, we
- 15:52Speaker 2: came in thinking Jackson would be a problem. They went
- 15:56Speaker 2: after him. He had made some plays, he gave up
- 15:58Speaker 2: some plays that was bad. You see now it's obvious
- 16:02Speaker 2: now and we've been saying this all season about Jackson.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Why aren't teams going after him or not? Not that
- 16:08Speaker 2: we're telling teams to do this, but we're like saying,
- 16:10Speaker 2: this is pathetic that they don't. It's so obvious. How
- 16:12Speaker 2: you beat the Eagles, you go after Drry Jackson, And
- 16:16Speaker 2: I wonder, had he not gotten hurt, how bad it
- 16:18Speaker 2: would have gotten. But Coop, we'll see that that's a problem.
- 16:21Speaker 2: To answer your question, and you made a fair point.
- 16:24Speaker 2: They can't sustain anything on offense. Because they can't run
- 16:26Speaker 2: the football. I can't. We could talk all we want
- 16:30Speaker 2: about my lot is not the same player as last year.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Jefferson clearly is not. Okay, he's getting healthier, but he's
- 16:35Speaker 2: not clearly the same Jurgons. He had a number of
- 16:37Speaker 2: plays in the game that we're not great. Dean is
- 16:41Speaker 2: on the job training right. This is thirty year as
- 16:42Speaker 2: a guard. He was a left tackle in college and
- 16:44Speaker 2: lane out Fred Johnson. Lane Is was pretty good this season,
- 16:50Speaker 2: very good, but was the elite that's debatable. So obviously
- 16:52Speaker 2: the line is performing well under their standard, not remotely
- 16:56Speaker 2: close to what So you want to know what's happened
- 16:58Speaker 2: with with Barkley. Yes, we just gave the Answest to
- 17:02Speaker 2: the test. Now you want to blame Stout, Okay, it's
- 17:06Speaker 2: just and the problem that I have and I still
- 17:09Speaker 2: don't understand this before we move to defense, as we're
- 17:13Speaker 2: on offense, but you're talking about what are the issues are?
- 17:15Speaker 2: I don't know why the insistent keep running inside. It's
- 17:18Speaker 2: like you see the guy, the inside penetration. The guy
- 17:21Speaker 2: gets there, you know, it's like you it's a premonition,
- 17:24Speaker 2: self filling prophecy. It's going to happen. Where the hell
- 17:28Speaker 2: the outside runs, whatever the clung gap or zone. But
- 17:34Speaker 2: whatever the hell it is, whatever scheme they're using in
- 17:37Speaker 2: particular game or for whatever the hell they're doing, it's
- 17:41Speaker 2: not working. I'm this is like, who could have seen this?
- 17:44Speaker 2: We all thought he'd lose five or six hundred yards
- 17:47Speaker 2: because you couldn't keep There's no way you're going to
- 17:48Speaker 2: run for over two thousand yards in consecutive seasons. I
- 17:50Speaker 2: thought fourteen to fifteen hundred is reasonable. Is you're going
- 17:54Speaker 2: to reach one thousand yards? Probably not Barkley.
- 18:00Speaker 1: He'll probably get it on volume, but certainly not because
- 18:03Speaker 1: of a high yards for carry average. I mean, they
- 18:05Speaker 1: keep giving him the ball and it just keeps really
- 18:08Speaker 1: not manifesting. They want.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got to get a thousand thousand yards now,
- 18:16Speaker 2: is like is like, like who cares? The norm should
- 18:22Speaker 2: be fourteen hundred yards, but hey, it is what it is.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Hey, Philly fans game day is stressful enough. Parking traffic,
- 18:29Speaker 1: long lines, We've all been there. But when it comes
- 18:32Speaker 1: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 18:36Speaker 1: the dispensary for sports fans just minutes outside of Philly
- 18:41Speaker 1: with plenty of free parking, you'll be in and out fast,
- 18:44Speaker 1: no hassle, no waiting, and they don't just care about convenience.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Camden Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their staff
- 18:52Speaker 1: makes sure you feel taken care of every time you

- 19:02Speaker 1: the tailgate, the watch party, or celebrating a big win,

- 19:10Speaker 1: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 19:14Speaker 1: service members, and healthcare pros. Camed inn Apothecary, top quality cannabis,
- 19:20Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 19:23Speaker 1: one and up. Yeah, so that on the same vein.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I've sort of given up thinking that it's gonna come
- 19:31Speaker 1: like the running I wrote this no way, Yeah, I mean,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and I honestly think there's no one person that can
- 19:41Speaker 1: be accountable for all of this. I think the offensive
- 19:44Speaker 1: line is the number one issue, and I just don't know.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I mean, we'll see if they can do it and
- 19:51Speaker 1: win it all with this offensive line and lack of
- 19:53Speaker 1: running game. But if not, I have a feeling that
- 19:55Speaker 1: that's gonna be the area that gets the biggest or
- 19:57Speaker 1: needs the biggest upgrade. Just help better, help.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Well, next year, we've talked about this, they're going to
- 20:03Speaker 2: have to spend as high as a third round pick
- 20:05Speaker 2: on interior lineman. Obviously draft lanes replacement sooner or later,
- 20:10Speaker 2: you know, sooner rather than later. Dickerson, it's just got
- 20:13Speaker 2: to be. He's just got to get in better shape.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Like he's just got I know he had two surgeries,
- 20:18Speaker 2: but this is tough man. He's got he's got to
- 20:20Speaker 2: be better. Guys that have a football player, but he's
- 20:25Speaker 2: it just it just it's bad. It's their offensive line
- 20:28Speaker 2: is it's not good. It's it's I know Greg coas
- 20:33Speaker 2: Huttles and ranked on Liones. I would think they're no
- 20:35Speaker 2: better than average this season, and that's probably being charitable.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Although pass pro for the most part, they were pretty
- 20:40Speaker 2: good run blocking. I mean, do you want to say
- 20:42Speaker 2: atrocious as easy?
- 20:44Speaker 1: No, I think that. I think it's so weird. The
- 20:46Speaker 1: pass pro has been great, well, if not great, it's
- 20:50Speaker 1: been really really good. Yeah, jimn. Hurts was sacked one time.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It was the last it was on that last drive,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and he held on to the ball for quite a while.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Maybe there was nobody opened, but that he had plenty
- 21:00Speaker 1: of time to throw the ball for most of the game.
- 21:02Speaker 1: That wasn't an issue.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, And by the way, look, if they didn't
- 21:05Speaker 2: have all those penalties on offense in the second half,
- 21:07Speaker 2: I want to he might he had a good game.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean's that's that's yes, I agree, Yeah, yeah, he
- 21:15Speaker 2: overall he played well. Now did they have some players
- 21:18Speaker 2: where he didn't get to play on great enough on time?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah they had that. They had a call time out
- 21:22Speaker 2: for one of those. But overall, he threw the ball,
- 21:25Speaker 2: by the way, and I got this is what I
- 21:26Speaker 2: liked about Patool, as much as I've been crushing lately
- 21:29Speaker 2: for the Vanilla game plans and not helping us quarterback.
- 21:31Speaker 2: They got the slants back. In fact this we'll have
- 21:34Speaker 2: to check the number, but they had at least seemed
- 21:36Speaker 2: like three or four slants it to Brown inside the
- 21:39Speaker 2: number throws two. They got to be in the offense.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It's pathetic that they weren't. It's bad coaching, but the
- 21:43Speaker 2: sure as hell were in this game. Uh, they were
- 21:46Speaker 2: aggressive coming out, but it's hard to be aggressive in
- 21:50Speaker 2: the second half. When you can't stop getting penalties, that's
- 21:53Speaker 2: a coaching problem. By the way, I'm sorry that I
- 21:57Speaker 2: start with coaching. If it's happening, it's coaching when you
- 22:01Speaker 2: have these They've had a number of games they have
- 22:03Speaker 2: bad penalty numbers, and this is we've lauded Sirianni's a
- 22:07Speaker 2: great coach, but he's got to do a better job.
- 22:10Speaker 2: This is this can't happen. This is just embarrassing.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and then flipping the defense at him. You just
- 22:15Speaker 1: mentioned a run game. Not great. You're going to face
- 22:18Speaker 1: the Bears, who are a very good running team coming up.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I can see the Eagles bouncing back. They tend to
- 22:23Speaker 1: do that. But you've got to be able to stop
- 22:25Speaker 1: that to let your pass rush, you know, be able
- 22:27Speaker 1: to tee off. But the pass rush didn't. The Bears
- 22:30Speaker 1: are a different story. They don't have the tackles at
- 22:32Speaker 1: the end. We're pretty good, but they don't have what
- 22:34Speaker 1: the Cowboys have up front. But you got to worry
- 22:36Speaker 1: about the injuries now in the secondary.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, blanket ship with the left thigh. Oh, then Macoba
- 22:45Speaker 2: hurt his right ankle. I don't know what it is.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You can friendly fire teammate went into that ankle that
- 22:52Speaker 2: to hope it's only an ankle, not achilles. I don't,
- 22:54Speaker 2: I will see. And yeah, here's the problem when you
- 22:58Speaker 2: when you got to play City Browns happened. He he's
- 23:01Speaker 2: he's a for safety at best, That's what he is.
- 23:03Speaker 2: He's a great special teams player. But what he does
- 23:05Speaker 2: have penalties. But that's yeah, that's it. That's all he is.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Call it like it is, no no doubt about it.
- 23:11Speaker 1: So a lot for the Eagles to work on. A
- 23:14Speaker 1: disappointing win for them, for sure. They had this thing
- 23:17Speaker 1: in the bag. They found every single way they could
- 23:19Speaker 1: to lose it. But we've seen the Eagles kind of
- 23:21Speaker 1: have these stinkers and be able to rebound. So we'll
- 23:24Speaker 1: see how they pick up the pieces. This is a
- 23:26Speaker 1: short week, it's a Thanksgiving week. We'll still have a
- 23:28Speaker 1: lot of inside the Birds content. We'll still have our
- 23:31Speaker 1: tape breakdowns with Greg Cosel and Birds Weekly with Gunner
- 23:34Speaker 1: and Ray Diddy, but obviously the injuries will take the
- 23:37Speaker 1: forefront over the next two days. And Andrew decheco, Adam
- 23:41Speaker 1: Kaplan myself, Well, everybody will continue to get keep you informed.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And give you all the best Eagles coverage here on
- 23:47Speaker 1: Inside the Birds. That's going to do it for the
- 23:48Speaker 1: Inside the Birds post game show for Adam Kaplan. I'm
- 23:51Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher. Thanks for watching. Catch you on the next one.
