- 0:09happen to be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30OK, so we are talking today about Law of Attraction and
- 0:34we've talked about this a lot on so many levels in so many
- 0:36different ways. But there's some a concept of
- 0:39this that I want to make sure I'm very clear on teaching
- 0:44because I think it can become some somewhat confusing unless
- 0:48you really focus your attention on it.
- 0:50So when you try to control other people, when you are working on
- 0:56either influencing them, controlling them, coercing them,
- 0:59whatever it might be, moving them towards what you want more
- 1:04than what they might want because it's what they're doing
- 1:08is not right for you, they're annoying you or whatever your
- 1:12attention is on that annoyance. That's the root cause of it.
- 1:17Your attention is on that annoyance.
- 1:19So what ends up happening is that by you trying to move away
- 1:23from that thing that's an annoyance, and attempting to
- 1:26feel good by moving them away from it, you're still staying
- 1:29focused on what's annoying you. And guess what?
- 1:31You're actually attracting more of what's annoying you.
- 1:34Because that's the crazy thing about law of attraction.
- 1:38It is very literal and you attract more of what you focus
- 1:43on. And if you're focused on the
- 1:45problem while you're trying to influence somebody in a way,
- 1:48there is a high probability of attracting more of the problem.
- 1:52That's why, you know, we say when it rains, it pours because
- 1:55you get focused on something going wrong and boom, you
- 1:58attract more of it. I I can't express how quickly
- 2:03this can happen. It it shows up in my own life.
- 2:06If I don't control it, where I can get focused on one thing, I
- 2:09can get frustrated that my son is dragging his feet doing
- 2:12assignments in school and I get like, oh, I got to get a moving.
- 2:15I got to get a moving, But guess what?
- 2:18My attention is clearly on the fact that he's not moving.
- 2:22I can, my words can say I've got to get him moving, but my
- 2:25emotion is on the fact that he's being slow and pokey and he's
- 2:28taking his time and he's not doing his work.
- 2:30And then I get frustrated just thinking about it, even just
- 2:33talking about it, It frustrates me.
- 2:35And then guess what? I attract more of the
- 2:36frustration. And the next day he's pokey.
- 2:38And then that afternoon he's even more pokey.
- 2:41And I'm just sitting there going, oh, for the love of God.
- 2:43And I, I feel myself. I can feel my emotions going up,
- 2:46up, up about it. And I recognize, wait, I have to
- 2:49stop that. I have to move away from that
- 2:52behavior. I have to see him as successful.
- 2:55I have to think of it differently so I can attract
- 2:58what I'm looking for, not what I'm annoyed by, because clearly
- 3:02that's happening. I'm attracting more of what I'm
- 3:05annoyed by. So as you decide how you're
- 3:09going to influence somebody, it's critically important that
- 3:13you get in the right headspace before you do it.
- 3:15Like most things, you use the frustration, the irritation, the
- 3:20aggravation, all the shuns. You use those to let you know
- 3:25you have to do something, but you don't stay in those to make
- 3:28it happen. Very important distinction.
- 3:32Very important distinction. And by recognizing it, you can
- 3:36get through something pretty quickly.
- 3:37So think about where those aggravations are coming up and
- 3:43how you handle them. This is actually a really good
- 3:45space to Monday morning quarterback your choices.
- 3:48So often times I try to avoid doing that and I said let's not
- 3:51go back, let's not think about it because there's no point in
- 3:55it and it's not going to do you any good.
- 3:56But the challenge is in this case, you actually do need to
- 4:00know what emotion you were in, not just what was aggravating,
- 4:04but what was the emotion you were in.
- 4:06So you can decide, OK, was that the right one for me to be in?
- 4:10And most likely it was not. And that's why you have to know,
- 4:14most likely it was just the one that was the byproduct of the
- 4:18situation that's stuck around. It lingered and it it became the
- 4:22sticky one, the hard 1 to get rid of.
- 4:25And until you recognize that you have to move through that, it
- 4:30will continue to linger and you have to choose something bigger
- 4:33and better and more, you know, productive for the outcome.
- 4:38So it helps to actually write down what is the outcome you
- 4:41want. And if it was already, when you
- 4:44look at the outcome and say, this is what I want, what would
- 4:47it look like if you already had it?
- 4:49Then you can start to say, okay, if I already had it, I would
- 4:51feel this way and this way and this way.
- 4:53So then you just start feeling that way.
- 4:55You tell yourself, I choose to feel this way.
- 4:58I choose to, to, to have this energy in my body.
- 5:01I choose to emanate this energy. And then all of a sudden, the
- 5:06feeling switches. Now you will have to do this
- 5:08multiple times because you may still be dealing with all the
- 5:11shuns and be in that place of aggravation, all those things.
- 5:15But you can easily switch it around when you choose the
- 5:18focus. So give that a try.
- 5:22Work on that because I promise you, it's a massive shift in law
- 5:25of attraction. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:27you have a blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 5:30Bye.
