- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:04Speaker 1: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:06Speaker 1: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:10Speaker 1: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:12Speaker 1: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:15Speaker 1: from that do not feature Misty and will probably be
- 0:17Speaker 1: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. With that having been said,
- 0:22Speaker 1: on with the show.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister, writer, star of Strangeland, radio, TV,
- 0:47Speaker 2: you know me.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah. This is our life.
- 0:54Speaker 4: This is our song.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It's showtime.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:30Speaker 3: More cooling in the containment chamber.
- 1:32Speaker 6: To your stations. We have a movie meltdown. Robot is online.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Reviewing primary directives.
- 1:47Speaker 4: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm Brian.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And I am Misty.
- 1:51Speaker 4: And we are coming to you live via digital recording
- 1:53Speaker 4: from Wonderfest here in Louisville.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Hell yeah we are.
- 1:56Speaker 4: And I specifically... This just the other day, I had
- 2:01Speaker 4: a listener telling me how much they missed the Misty episodes.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Some fucking awesome.
- 2:04Speaker 4: And I was like, hang in there, dude. I'm hooking
- 2:07Speaker 4: you up. You just wait. So, I bring to you
- 2:10Speaker 4: once again, Misty.
- 2:12Speaker 3: That's me. I'm kind of distracted because there are a
- 2:15Speaker 3: lot of flashy lights directly across from me and a
- 2:17Speaker 3: lot of shiny things.
- 2:18Speaker 4: We are sitting across from the robot from Lost in Space.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Hells yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And the fabulous airbrush backdrop that it has.
- 2:24Speaker 4: It is pretty fabulous. I'm sure we'll be taking pictures
- 2:27Speaker 4: of ourselves.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Hell, yeah, we will.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Plus that dewback. I'm still pretty excited about that giant dewback.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I haven't made it down there yet.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 2:33Speaker 4: It's like a life-size dewback. It's pretty awesome. Even though
- 2:35Speaker 4: it is sort of the spindly CGI legs, where I
- 2:38Speaker 4: like the more sturdy, heavy-duty legs from the original.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Functional ones.
- 2:42Speaker 4: That's just me.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Whatever.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Spindly, yeah. It's like they're going to break.
- 2:45Speaker 4: It's pretty awesome that there is a giant dewback sitting
- 2:48Speaker 4: in the same room as us right now.
- 2:50Speaker 6: So, you know.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Once again, the wonders of Wonderfest.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I see what you did there.
- 2:56Speaker 4: It wasn't really that clever.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:00Speaker 4: So now we've got you back. Misty, what's your geek
- 3:05Speaker 4: activities for? It's been a while. Go to town.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Should I start the most recent and work my way backwards?
- 3:09Speaker 4: You know you're all fired up for that one, so
- 3:11Speaker 4: go ahead.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Dude, I went and saw Star Trek last night, and
- 3:13Speaker 3: I don't care what anybody fucking says. The movie was awesome.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It was rowdy, and there was explosions and running, and
- 3:18Speaker 3: it was awesome. So, Fuck if you didn't like it.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I've heard some not-so-good things going in, but, you know,
- 3:26Speaker 4: it's a hard sell anyway trying to do that with
- 3:29Speaker 4: Star Trek.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It depends on what you're going to expect. If you're wanting, like,
- 3:33Speaker 3: plot and, like, a big old fancy storyline and a
- 3:36Speaker 3: lot of words, then why are you going to see
- 3:39Speaker 3: a Star Trek movie?
- 3:41Speaker 4: Well, especially new Star Trek. The new Star Trek versus
- 3:44Speaker 4: old Star Trek. Star Trek used to be very wordy
- 3:47Speaker 4: and very, like, theme oriented and it went into like
- 3:51Speaker 4: social issues of the time it really was a very
- 3:54Speaker 4: thinking person's kind of sci-fi but the reboot is not
- 3:57Speaker 4: that at all the reboot is like run and gun
- 3:59Speaker 4: sci-fi so i.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Thought it was fun like so there is there is
- 4:02Speaker 3: a plot and i'm sure there are plenty of holes
- 4:04Speaker 3: in it if you want to sit and pick it
- 4:05Speaker 3: apart but if you just go into it like hey
- 4:07Speaker 3: this is fun then it's fucking fun dude it is
- 4:10Speaker 3: it's fun and goddamn benedict cumberbatch batch with a b
- 4:14Speaker 3: because i keep wanting to say p i don't know why.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I probably say it wrong and i just.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Didn't even realize it's still closer than what boyfriend gets
- 4:20Speaker 3: boyfriend keeps wanting to call him benjamin cumberbatch which is
- 4:23Speaker 3: like more wronger than me i wonder.
- 4:25Speaker 4: How much he gets wrong names we need to get
- 4:28Speaker 4: him on and just ask him what his list of
- 4:30Speaker 4: wrong names.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Is who boyfriends or benedict i would totally be okay
- 4:35Speaker 3: with that only if i could sit in his lap
- 4:36Speaker 3: though although he does look kind of bony so it
- 4:39Speaker 3: might be uncomfortable I bet he has really bony knees.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I bet his left is really uncomfortable, but I think
- 4:43Speaker 3: I'd take one for the team and I'd sit there.
- 4:45Speaker 4: That's crazy British dudes. You never know.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Which drives me nuts because usually I hate British people.
- 4:50Speaker 4: No offense, British listeners.
- 4:51Speaker 3: No, I just mean it usually drives me nuts when
- 4:53Speaker 3: they talk, but I could listen to him go on
- 4:55Speaker 3: and on forever.
- 4:57Speaker 4: You were probably exposed to early old school BBC stuff,
- 5:01Speaker 4: which I was not a big fan of a lot
- 5:02Speaker 4: of it either, so I think you're rediscovering the new
- 5:05Speaker 4: version of BBC.
- 5:06Speaker 3: No, I still hate British comedy. I'm not leaning or
- 5:09Speaker 3: giving on that at all. I hate British comedy.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's pretty slapstick-y.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I hate that. But Sherlock is fucking amazing. Misfits is
- 5:18Speaker 3: fucking amazing. Any other stuff I've probably talked about before.
- 5:22Speaker 3: The Fades. Fades is awesome. I just watched The Last Enemy.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it's the name of it, which also
- 5:29Speaker 3: has been a dead cover batch, and I love him. But, yes,
- 5:33Speaker 3: back to Star Trek. It was awesome. And there were
- 5:36Speaker 3: a lot of explosions, and I'm okay with that. I mean,
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm not going to give away the plot because you
- 5:41Speaker 3: haven't seen it yet, but I mean, I don't think
- 5:43Speaker 3: I'm spoiling anything. I mean, they've built it up as
- 5:46Speaker 3: to who the main character, who Benedict Cumberbatch's character is.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I didn't know for a long time. I actually did
- 5:51Speaker 4: see somebody use the name in the last day or so,
- 5:54Speaker 4: and I was like, oh, okay. They made good on that.
- 5:57Speaker 3: They did because they gave him a different name. They've
- 5:59Speaker 3: given him this other name through the entire movie.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Hi, everybody.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's Beau.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Ronning.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Bo is running back and forth, and he has a
- 6:08Speaker 4: lot of work to do here. So we flagged him
- 6:10Speaker 4: down for a second. We'll see if we can get
- 6:11Speaker 4: him somewhere the rest of this weekend. But he has
- 6:14Speaker 4: a lot of work to do. He actually, like, helps
- 6:15Speaker 4: run this joint.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So, you know.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Fuck that miss.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Misty likes to not work.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a slacker. But I love the movie. I
- 6:25Speaker 3: love Chris Pine. Zachary Quinto was more tolerable in this one.
- 6:29Speaker 3: for the most part overall is he.
- 6:31Speaker 4: More tolerable or are you just getting used to.
- 6:33Speaker 3: It I think he's more tolerable although he could have
- 6:34Speaker 3: lost some weight because his face looked fat in this
- 6:36Speaker 3: movie like plump like plump well.
- 6:39Speaker 4: You know he's eating that Vulcan food it's high.
- 6:41Speaker 3: In calories I don't know dude I guess but I
- 6:44Speaker 3: mean he seemed a little bit less I'm probably gonna
- 6:47Speaker 3: offend people a little bit less femmy than he was
- 6:48Speaker 3: in the first one I don't care but there was
- 6:51Speaker 3: points where he was kind of whiny and just judgmental
- 6:53Speaker 3: I'm like dude shut the fuck up.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Was he like angry the whole time That was my
- 6:57Speaker 4: problem with the last time. He always seemed kind of pissed,
- 6:59Speaker 4: and I was just like, that's not Spock at all.
- 7:01Speaker 3: He seemed kind of judgy, and I didn't like that.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Spock was always so calm about it. Even when he
- 7:05Speaker 4: was putting up with Kirk's shenanigans on the series, he
- 7:08Speaker 4: was always like... He had more of a, what an
- 7:10Speaker 4: idiot kind of thing. But he wasn't angry. Quinto just
- 7:14Speaker 4: seemed angry the whole first movie.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Is it Quinto or Quinto? I've probably been saying it wrong.
- 7:18Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That one guy.
- 7:20Speaker 4: The guy from Heroes.
- 7:20Speaker 1: How about that?
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that works for me. But he was more tolerable
- 7:24Speaker 3: in this one, except for a couple scenes where he
- 7:26Speaker 3: gets very... uppity about morals and shit but uh.
- 7:30Speaker 4: That seems kind of vulcan like yeah i can.
- 7:32Speaker 3: See that even though he's he's defying direct orders.
- 7:36Speaker 4: He does that every like episode every movie but yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I mean there's a big old whole thing and if
- 7:42Speaker 3: you try to make too much sense out of it
- 7:43Speaker 3: yeah i'm sure you're gonna be annoyed you're gonna be
- 7:45Speaker 3: aggravated but if you just like enjoy it for what
- 7:48Speaker 3: it is which is a new star trek movie then
- 7:50Speaker 3: maybe you'll like it because like i said i loved
- 7:51Speaker 3: it and i'm more picky than most people We'll.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Be seeing it, or some of us will be seeing
- 7:56Speaker 4: it later this weekend. And I'm still waiting to see
- 8:01Speaker 4: if we're going to have time to sit down and
- 8:03Speaker 4: talk about it fully. So maybe we'll just touch on
- 8:05Speaker 4: it later, if I stay awake during it. Because they're
- 8:09Speaker 4: also showing it at like the middle of the night
- 8:11Speaker 4: or something, last I heard. It's like a 12.30 start time.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Are you seeing it? That guy's shirt is amazing. That
- 8:19Speaker 3: guy's shirt is amazing beyond words. I want that shirt.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I would wear that shirt everywhere I went. But not
- 8:26Speaker 3: the one specifically he's wearing because I'm wearing a shirt
- 8:28Speaker 3: that's going to be smelly.
- 8:30Speaker 4: I think it would be. Okay, now he's out of earshot.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Go ahead and describe that shirt, Misty.
- 8:34Speaker 3: It is a glorious wonder of a shirt here at Wonderfest.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I see what you did there.
- 8:39Speaker 3: It's pretty fancy, I know. I like the combination of
- 8:42Speaker 3: the outfit, though. I like the camouflage pants that go
- 8:44Speaker 3: with the Pegasus shirt. It ties the outfit together.
- 8:48Speaker 4: It's not just a regular Pegasus. It's like a... special
- 8:51Speaker 4: fading color kind of like purple and red fading.
- 8:55Speaker 3: We should just take a picture while he was taking
- 8:56Speaker 3: a picture of the.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Robot I think we need to actually if he comes
- 8:59Speaker 4: back you're pretty sneaky you can take stalker photos I'm.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Like mesmerized by that shirt it was glorious.
- 9:05Speaker 4: It's pretty epic I have to say.
- 9:07Speaker 3: And the way it rounds around his belly his beer
- 9:09Speaker 3: belly it gives it like another dimension it's like the
- 9:13Speaker 3: pegasus is flying directly at you back to 3D we
- 9:17Speaker 3: did see Star Trek in 3D Because I'm like, if
- 9:21Speaker 3: you're going to see this shit, you might as well
- 9:23Speaker 3: see it in 3D, you know. Because shit flying at you,
- 9:25Speaker 3: fuck yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Of course.
- 9:29Speaker 2: What's up?
- 9:32Speaker 4: We're yammering on as we do. Star Trek. Have you
- 9:38Speaker 4: seen Star Trek?
- 9:40Speaker 3: The new one?
- 9:41Speaker 6: No, we haven't.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Here's what happens at the end.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Hopefully I'll have.
- 9:46Speaker 8: A little bit of downtime here.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Have you seen Star Trek?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Uh, no.
- 9:51Speaker 8: I've worked it the other night.
- 9:53Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 9:53Speaker 7: Well.
- 9:53Speaker 4: That doesn't count at all.
- 9:55Speaker 6: You two are talking. I don't want to.
- 9:57Speaker 4: get involved. We've been distracted many a time.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm trying to not, because he hasn't seen it yet either.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Oh, you just recorded it?
- 10:02Speaker 10: No.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Oh.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yes, tonight we'll edit it.
- 10:04Speaker 4: You know how this goes. Nothing but nonsense. Editing magic,
- 10:10Speaker 4: ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Leave that part to him.
- 10:13Speaker 8: I could just get Paul Brokaw back and just sit
- 10:15Speaker 8: him at your table with you.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I don't know. You don't know, Paul. I don't think
- 10:20Speaker 4: you can handle Paul.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You can handle Paul if he's sober.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Probably, but Paul's a fascinating character and we're very glad
- 10:30Speaker 4: to have him on the show, but Misty might strangle him.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:34Speaker 8: You get him sober and he controls himself, but usually
- 10:37Speaker 8: it's like that constant loggeria. Well, of course, I guess
- 10:39Speaker 8: we're all guilty of that.
- 10:41Speaker 4: That's what the show is built around. Just constant talking.
- 10:46Speaker 8: The best quote ever is just, Well, are we supposed
- 10:48Speaker 8: to be talking about movies or something?
- 10:50Speaker 4: It's right up with, what was I, the genius with baloney?
- 10:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:55Speaker 8: The man is a genius when it comes to meat.
- 11:00Speaker 6: Baloney.
- 11:02Speaker 4: It was that and also the... I was watching a
- 11:04Speaker 4: lot of fun.
- 11:05Speaker 8: Michelle Obama climbed up.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Obama, get out of the boat.
- 11:08Speaker 7: Get out of the boat.
- 11:08Speaker 8: Get on my movie.
- 11:09Speaker 4: The Obama rant is classic.
- 11:10Speaker 8: And then it was like Obama showed up and I
- 11:12Speaker 8: was watching Lincoln and he dresses Frederick Douglass.
- 11:15Speaker 1: He's like, let my people go. And Lincoln's like, all right,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I got nothing going on tonight.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Sure.
- 11:19Speaker 4: The Frederick Douglass. I was listening to it again lately
- 11:22Speaker 4: and the Frederick Douglass part killed me. It comes out
- 11:24Speaker 4: of nowhere. I'm like... Where?
- 11:27Speaker 2: What?
- 11:27Speaker 4: Paul's like that all the time.
- 11:28Speaker 6: He'll just have these moments of sheer zany genius. And
- 11:32Speaker 6: it just cracks me up.
- 11:32Speaker 8: There was one time to where I was driving up
- 11:34Speaker 8: to Cincinnati with him, and I almost went off the
- 11:37Speaker 8: road laughing because he was talking about how he.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Was he going to just.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Sit and talk to the microphone at the same time?
- 11:43Speaker 4: I don't know. They already heard half that story. Am
- 11:49Speaker 4: I just telling the Paul story? I suppose. I guess
- 11:51Speaker 4: the flashback for the viewers who listened to Paul on.
- 11:55Speaker 4: The Oscar meltdown episode. I want to go see Academy Awards.
- 11:58Speaker 8: But no, Paul, he had that Obama rant. And those
- 12:02Speaker 8: are like the moments of genius that sort of define Paul.
- 12:05Speaker 8: Because I was explaining to Brian here, there was one
- 12:07Speaker 8: time I almost ran off the road driving up to
- 12:09Speaker 8: Cincinnati with him because Paul was talking about how he
- 12:11Speaker 8: tried to perfect his martini recipe. And so he said
- 12:14Speaker 8: he was at home alone. His wife was out with
- 12:17Speaker 8: the girls. And so he makes one and then two
- 12:21Speaker 8: and then three. And by his own... admission he's like
- 12:24Speaker 8: oh by the end it was just straight up gin
- 12:26Speaker 8: i was just drinking like a glass of gin that's
- 12:29Speaker 8: really what a martini is but you know you would
- 12:31Speaker 8: put some other stuff in there to pretend but i
- 12:33Speaker 8: was just drinking gin well i'm diabetic and my blood
- 12:35Speaker 8: sugar crashed so i got i got really hammered really
- 12:39Speaker 8: quick and and you know that then sharon comes home
- 12:43Speaker 8: and i'm wallowing on the floor i was like sharon
- 12:46Speaker 8: sharon and she's like my god paul what happened to
- 12:49Speaker 8: you oh god sharon i don't know something went wrong
- 12:53Speaker 8: The martinis went wrong, Sharon. And she's like, well, here,
- 12:57Speaker 8: I'll just get you some water.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Do you need some food?
- 12:58Speaker 8: And I was like, yes, macaroni and cheese. Make macaroni
- 13:02Speaker 8: and cheese. And she starts making it.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And I'm like, and ham.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Put ham in it.
- 13:08Speaker 8: And at that point, she came in and she helped
- 13:10Speaker 8: me get up off the floor and onto the couch,
- 13:11Speaker 8: which is a feat in and of itself. And then
- 13:14Speaker 8: she came by and she started spoon feeding me this
- 13:16Speaker 8: because I was just so gone. I couldn't pick up
- 13:20Speaker 8: a spoon or a fork or anything. And so she
- 13:22Speaker 8: was feeding me. And all of a sudden, I was like,
- 13:25Speaker 8: my God, Sharon, did you put ham in this?
- 13:29Speaker 4: She's like, you asked for it.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I was like, I'm a genius.
- 13:32Speaker 8: It's just the moment I rediscovered the ham. It was
- 13:36Speaker 8: one of the greatest moments of my life. I didn't
- 13:39Speaker 8: realize I'd asked for it. It's like, there it was,
- 13:42Speaker 8: as if by divine providence. It was just the most
- 13:45Speaker 8: wonderful night of my life. I felt horrible the next day,
- 13:47Speaker 8: but The moment I rediscovered that ham, that moment just
- 13:52Speaker 8: sticks out in my life as one of the greatest. Like,
- 13:54Speaker 8: he told that, and all of a sudden, I'm, like,
- 13:56Speaker 8: laughing so much, I'm, like, going over into the shoulder.
- 13:58Speaker 8: And I was like, God, you can't say something like
- 14:01Speaker 8: that when.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I'm driving, Paul. You really can't. He's a genius with ham.
- 14:05Speaker 8: Yeah, and that's why he appreciated you bringing the sweetmeats,
- 14:08Speaker 8: you know. The man loves his meat, and he loves
- 14:10Speaker 8: his booze, and so I think he was just at
- 14:12Speaker 8: home at our Oscar show.
- 14:14Speaker 4: He was certainly welcome.
- 14:15Speaker 3: I have no idea who this is, but after listening
- 14:18Speaker 3: to that story, I'm picturing a combination of Jimmy Stewart
- 14:21Speaker 3: and Ozzy Osbourne.
- 14:23Speaker 4: You might be onto something.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 14:26Speaker 11: Pretty good description.
- 14:27Speaker 9: Nice.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Maybe it was just the way he said Sharon. Sharon!
- 14:34Speaker 3: Maybe that's just where the Aussie part comes from. What's
- 14:37Speaker 3: in my head? I've never met this guy. I've never
- 14:39Speaker 3: seen him. I have no idea what this person actually.
- 14:41Speaker 8: He kind of looks like a backwoods militia man in
- 14:44Speaker 8: his own charming way.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I'm not sure if there's a charming way to take that.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Paul, if you're listening, we love you.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Love you, Paul.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I don't know you, so I can't share the sentiments.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Oh, wow. Alright, what was wandering off now?
- 15:01Speaker 6: Star Trek?
- 15:02Speaker 4: I don't remember.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I loved it. Boyfriend went so far as to say
- 15:06Speaker 3: that he liked this one better than the last one.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Which is pretty bold. I loved them both. But like
- 15:12Speaker 3: I said, I guess it depends on what you're expecting
- 15:14Speaker 3: and what you're wanting. If you just go in there
- 15:16Speaker 3: to have fun, yes. But if you're wanting to be
- 15:19Speaker 3: a picky little bitch, then I'm sure there's a lot
- 15:20Speaker 3: to be a picky little bitch about.
- 15:22Speaker 4: No offense, I'm a Star Trek fan to some extent,
- 15:25Speaker 4: but Star Trek fans in general can be picky little bitches.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I mean, I have a Star Trek tattoo. I mean,
- 15:30Speaker 3: I can be a picky little bitch, and I'm the
- 15:32Speaker 3: first one to pick shit apart if it pisses me off.
- 15:36Speaker 3: But like I said, I love this. Like I said,
- 15:38Speaker 3: I still love Chris Pine as Kirk. He's still amazing.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I still love Carl Urban. He is so dreamy.
- 15:46Speaker 4: He's pretty amazing.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I know, right?
- 15:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 3: They could have used a little bit more Carl Urban
- 15:52Speaker 3: in this, if you ask me.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Most movies could use a little more Carl Urban.
- 15:55Speaker 3: He should be in everything.
- 15:56Speaker 4: He really should.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I still love Simon Pegg because I was very leery
- 16:00Speaker 3: about Simon Pegg in this at first.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I was worried about Kumar.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah, dude. Seriously.
- 16:07Speaker 4: And he did a good job last time.
- 16:08Speaker 9: I was amazed.
- 16:10Speaker 3: He got to sit in the big chair. I don't
- 16:11Speaker 3: think I'm ruining anything, but he got to sit in
- 16:12Speaker 3: the big chair for a while.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Spoiler alert.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I know, right? Just for a little bit. And apparently
- 16:16Speaker 3: it was pretty exciting.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Well, I mean, that's flash forward. I mean, that will
- 16:22Speaker 4: eventually be where his character goes.
- 16:23Speaker 11: I know.
- 16:24Speaker 4: He's the only one of the crew that gets his
- 16:26Speaker 4: own ship aside from Kuro. I think, unless I'm missing
- 16:31Speaker 4: some loopholes in my Star Trek.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, I love Star Trek, but
- 16:34Speaker 3: I love the original series. And I've only seen, like,
- 16:37Speaker 3: one of the original movies. I've only seen Wrath of Khan.
- 16:41Speaker 4: You are so out of the loop.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I am.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 3: So it's like I have no idea what happens to them. But, yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 3: I was pretty excited. I loved it. Like I said,
- 16:51Speaker 3: 3D was fun. 3D was fun. It said it was
- 16:53Speaker 3: converted to 3D, so I don't know if it was
- 16:55Speaker 3: originally in 3D, but it seemed like it was shot
- 16:57Speaker 3: for 3D because everything, like all the effects seemed like
- 17:00Speaker 3: it was specifically for 3D. And there wasn't as much
- 17:07Speaker 3: lens flare in this one.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Thank God, because he needs to settle down on that.
- 17:11Speaker 3: The lens flare that they did do, you're like, holy shit,
- 17:13Speaker 3: is that necessary?
- 17:14Speaker 4: You're blinded.
- 17:15Speaker 3: It's the point where you can't even see half of
- 17:18Speaker 3: the character sometimes. It doesn't do it as often. But
- 17:21Speaker 3: when he does, he makes up for it.
- 17:23Speaker 4: JJ has issues. I don't know.
- 17:25Speaker 3: He does.
- 17:25Speaker 4: He seems like a cool guy and all, but I
- 17:27Speaker 4: don't get the lens flare thing.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It's out of control.
- 17:29Speaker 3: It's fancy shit, but it's just too much. I loved it.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I'm sure I'll get some slack for that, but whatever.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Fuck you guys. I love that movie. Like I said,
- 17:40Speaker 3: my biggest problem with the last one was Zachary Quinto. Quinto,
- 17:45Speaker 3: whatever the fuck his name is.
- 17:46Speaker 1: That dude.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that dude.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:48Speaker 3: The fake Spock.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Reboot Spock. Because technically they were both there last time, so.
- 17:56Speaker 3: No.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Are you okay?
- 17:57Speaker 3: I was going to say something, but then I'm like,
- 17:59Speaker 3: I don't know if that's a spoiler or not.
- 18:01Speaker 4: I can close my ears. Spoiler alert.
- 18:04Speaker 3: It's not really a spoiler, but he makes another cameo
- 18:07Speaker 3: in the movie.
- 18:09Speaker 5: What?
- 18:09Speaker 3: The Spock makes a cameo. Leonard Nimoy makes a cameo
- 18:12Speaker 3: in this one.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Now you've done it.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I know, right?
- 18:14Speaker 4: I'm not even going to go see the movie now.
- 18:16Speaker 4: You've ruined it all.
- 18:18Speaker 3: It's just like a brief thing. It's not even like
- 18:19Speaker 3: fucking life altering or anything.
- 18:21Speaker 4: How can they keep bringing it? It's so going to
- 18:23Speaker 4: make the entire universe collapse upon itself.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I know.
- 18:26Speaker 4: It's kind of getting ridiculous.
- 18:28Speaker 3: He even goes against his own shit this time. He's like,
- 18:31Speaker 3: I'm not supposed to tell you anything, but let me
- 18:34Speaker 3: tell you something.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Marty, on the night that you go back in the Enterprise...
- 18:39Speaker 4: I don't know. It seems like you're going to collapse
- 18:42Speaker 4: the universe upon itself.
- 18:44Speaker 3: That guy's awesome, too. I should take pictures of everybody.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I know, right? I thought it was awesome. They pissed
- 18:55Speaker 3: me off during the trailers. Because the very first trailer
- 18:58Speaker 3: they showed you in a theater was in 3D. Then
- 19:00Speaker 3: none of the rest of them were. So everybody's still
- 19:02Speaker 3: sitting there with their glasses on. But I'm like, this
- 19:04Speaker 3: shit's not in 3D. Stop it. Because usually they're like, alright,
- 19:07Speaker 3: put on your glasses now. But they did not do that.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So they threw you into the first trailer. And it's 3D.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And you're like, holy shit, I'm going to put my
- 19:14Speaker 3: glasses on. And you have them on for the rest
- 19:16Speaker 3: of the time. And they're not.
- 19:21Speaker 6: 3D. 3D.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 20:11Speaker 8: We are about to witness the takeoff of the first
- 20:13Speaker 8: manned rocket to outer space.
- 20:15Speaker 3: We pick up the count.
- 20:15Speaker 12: Seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero.
- 20:20Speaker 9: We're off to visit the planet that reached the Lord
- 20:23Speaker 9: of the Stars.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Venus is loaded with candy.
- 20:27Speaker 8: At the edge of the universe, 400 men and women
- 20:29Speaker 8: are probing the immeasurable.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Blackness of space.
- 20:54Speaker 7: Their leaders are an Earthman with no fear, and a
- 20:58Speaker 7: stranger with no heart. Travel beyond our time and solar
- 21:02Speaker 7: system into new galaxies, into worlds beyond your dreams. Star Trek,
- 21:08Speaker 7: every week, in color, on the NBC television network.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Hey kids, it's Brian.
- 21:17Speaker 4: So you're listening to this episode, and it sounds pretty good, right?
- 21:21Speaker 4: That's because we're using our new mics from the Doo-Wop shop.
- 21:25Speaker 4: We are using the VLH SM2000s that are made specifically
- 21:29Speaker 4: for the Doo-Wop shop. And if you want one, you
- 21:32Speaker 4: can go get one yourself. They are actually only $ 65
- 21:34Speaker 4: if you want to buy one, or they rent everything
- 21:37Speaker 4: in the Doo-Wop shop, so you can go there and
- 21:39Speaker 4: get it for as little as $ 5 a month. So
- 21:41Speaker 4: you too can be out there using your microphones to
- 21:44Speaker 4: record a show, or interview people, or, I don't know,
- 21:47Speaker 4: most people probably have, like, bands and, you know, rent
- 21:49Speaker 4: instruments and stuff, which they also do. They have a
- 21:51Speaker 4: huge selection of instruments, so... Anything you need for any
- 21:55Speaker 4: type of event, whether it's a music show or a
- 21:58Speaker 4: business meeting or whatever kind of occasion you've got, they've
- 22:01Speaker 4: pretty much got everything covered. So if they are located
- 22:04Speaker 4: in Louisville, you can go to the Highland Store at
- 22:07Speaker 4: 1587 Bartstown Road or in the East End at 2915
- 22:10Speaker 4: South Hurstburn Parkway. Even if you're not in the area,
- 22:13Speaker 4: they have the website like most businesses, but you go
- 22:16Speaker 4: to doo-wop.com. And specifically, they have a huge selection of
- 22:21Speaker 4: karaoke discs. So you can actually go to the website.
- 22:23Speaker 4: They have thousands of titles to choose from, and they're
- 22:26Speaker 4: only like $ 4. 99 a month. So whatever you need karaoke-wise,
- 22:30Speaker 4: they can hook you up through the internet, and you
- 22:32Speaker 4: don't even have to be in the area. So again,
- 22:34Speaker 4: that is doo-wop.com.
- 22:36Speaker 6: Go there.
- 22:37Speaker 4: They'll have whatever you need. They certainly did with us
- 22:39Speaker 4: for the mics. So yeah, go to doo-wop.com and check
- 22:42Speaker 4: it out.
- 22:42Speaker 11: It was a childhood corrupted by endless hours of VHS rentals.
- 22:50Speaker 11: In his most formative years, he had seen it all.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Action.
- 22:57Speaker 9: Horror.
- 22:58Speaker 5: And romance.
- 23:15Speaker 11: Now, he's decided it's time to go back. For just
- 23:21Speaker 11: one more adventure. Humans are such easy prey. Noel Mellor presents.

- 23:40Speaker 12: the people involved with making them about what the format
- 23:42Speaker 12: means to them.

- 24:56Speaker 10: You haven't seen enough movies.
- 24:58Speaker 1: All of life's riddles are answered.
- 25:00Speaker 4: In the movies.
- 25:02Speaker 3: And now, on with the show.
- 25:03Speaker 5: The End.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Whenever I'm at a convention, I find myself wondering whatever
- 25:46Speaker 3: happened to Jodi.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Actually, I was thinking that earlier today.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I wonder if he's out in the field flying a
- 25:52Speaker 3: remote-controlled airplane.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Because we were talking to the guy earlier, and he
- 25:55Speaker 4: was talking about planes, and I started thinking about Jody.
- 25:57Speaker 4: I was like, I wonder if in his world, this
- 26:00Speaker 4: guy we were talking to, I was like, if the
- 26:02Speaker 4: planes fight each other in a battle to the death
- 26:04Speaker 4: in a future world.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Jody was special.
- 26:06Speaker 4: With remote-controlled planes and kids.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but he was so excited about it.
- 26:09Speaker 4: He was really excited about it.
- 26:11Speaker 3: He was really excited about having me interview him, which
- 26:13Speaker 3: is odd, because I don't like people. He was very persistent,
- 26:16Speaker 3: but then I shocked and appalled him with my language.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Not at the time.
- 26:19Speaker 4: I'm sure everyone listening is also shocked and appalled by
- 26:21Speaker 4: your language. It's okay.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Everybody should know better by now. But Jody was a
- 26:26Speaker 3: certain kind of special, and I don't think he'd ever
- 26:28Speaker 3: been exposed to many of the words that I might
- 26:30Speaker 3: have said.
- 26:30Speaker 4: He seemed like he was a little sheltered, perhaps.
- 26:34Speaker 3: He lived in a special world. He did. He was
- 26:36Speaker 3: very happy.
- 26:37Speaker 1: That's why.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I just want to remind you that upstairs at 12 o'clock,
- 26:41Speaker 3: about half an hour, in Theater B, Lee Stringer is.
- 26:44Speaker 6: Going to be talking about from Firefly, Iron Sky.
- 26:47Speaker 5: I want to make sure you guys get upstairs to
- 26:49Speaker 5: Theater B.
- 26:50Speaker 4: I just recently watched Iron Sky, since they just mentioned
- 26:53Speaker 4: it on the overhead mic here. Have you seen it?
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw it a couple months ago, right after
- 26:57Speaker 3: it came out, I think. Or before it came out.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I don't remember.
- 27:00Speaker 4: We were going to talk to Lee, who did the
- 27:01Speaker 4: special effects, and that's my big thing on it. I
- 27:04Speaker 4: was just like, you know, the idea is awesome, but
- 27:07Speaker 4: the special effects were great. Especially for knowing that they
- 27:10Speaker 4: had a super limited budget putting that together. I thought
- 27:13Speaker 4: the effects on it looked really good.
- 27:16Speaker 3: That guy keeps touching that model, and I keep waiting
- 27:17Speaker 3: for somebody to yell at him, but I don't know
- 27:19Speaker 3: if anybody's going to yell at him.
- 27:20Speaker 11: They should.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Maybe they're his. You're not supposed to touch him. Maybe
- 27:23Speaker 3: it's his. That's why they're okay. He's touching everything. Maybe
- 27:25Speaker 3: it is his booth.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Let's go yell at him anyway. Sir!
- 27:28Speaker 3: A couple years ago, that guy yelled at us for
- 27:32Speaker 3: leaning too far over the line.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Yeah, we were trying to take pictures of the models
- 27:37Speaker 4: because they're awesome vinyl models here. You should come next
- 27:40Speaker 4: year if you can't be here now since it's already
- 27:42Speaker 4: over with by the time you're listening to this. But, yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 4: we were taking pictures of them, and they've got these.
- 27:46Speaker 4: And it's funny because most of the people working this
- 27:48Speaker 4: are like, most of them are high school kids. They're
- 27:52Speaker 4: like ROTC, I think. And, yeah, that kid was, what,
- 27:56Speaker 4: like 15 and just started yelling at you and me and, like,
- 27:59Speaker 4: some other people. Like, we were just getting too close
- 28:01Speaker 4: for his taste, and he was freaking out.
- 28:03Speaker 3: I'm like, kid, you need to calm the fuck down.
- 28:06Speaker 3: That's what you need to do right about now. You
- 28:08Speaker 3: need to not get your britches in a bunch.
- 28:10Speaker 4: What was he kept saying, though? He's like, don't lean
- 28:13Speaker 4: over the models. He was yelling something at everybody.
- 28:16Speaker 3: He was just irate.
- 28:17Speaker 4: He was out of control.
- 28:18Speaker 3: He needed to calm himself down is what he needed
- 28:20Speaker 3: to do. That guy over there kind of looks like
- 28:23Speaker 3: a tiny Ron Jeremy.
- 28:26Speaker 4: I'm sure he's thrilled. That's exactly what he wants to
- 28:29Speaker 4: look like.
- 28:29Speaker 3: And yes, I said Jeremy on purpose because I would
- 28:32Speaker 3: imagine that Ron Jeremy would be incredibly Jeremy.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Well, I would think that goes without saying.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I said it wrong accidentally. No, I call him Ron Jeremy.
- 28:43Speaker 2: No, no.
- 28:44Speaker 4: It's fitting, I'm sure.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Oh, Lord. Yep, love Star Trek.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Anything else you've seen? Any fun activities you need to
- 28:55Speaker 4: pass along?
- 28:58Speaker 3: We don't have cable anymore, so I kind of limited
- 29:01Speaker 3: what I got there.
- 29:02Speaker 4: It's a sad story.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I don't have any more sci-fi, so no more sci-fi originals.
- 29:06Speaker 3: That makes me sad. So we're limited to whatever's on
- 29:08Speaker 3: Netflix or already on our hard drive.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Well, they just pulled like 20,000 Netflix movies or whatever
- 29:13Speaker 4: that number was. It was a lot.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That wasn't cool.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I mean, I understand why everybody wants to do their
- 29:19Speaker 4: own thing. We should have all seen this coming, and
- 29:22Speaker 4: it's funny that people are still getting irate about it,
- 29:24Speaker 4: but I'm like, If I was Warner Brothers, I'd want
- 29:26Speaker 4: to be selling my own movies. You know, it's like,
- 29:28Speaker 4: why would I just hand my movies over to some
- 29:30Speaker 4: other company to make money off of it? So, I mean,
- 29:32Speaker 4: I understand it. It's just it's going to suck for
- 29:34Speaker 4: all of us now because you're going to have to
- 29:36Speaker 4: have five versions. Like by the time you pay for
- 29:38Speaker 4: Hulu Plus and Netflix. and warner brothers archives and all
- 29:41Speaker 4: these other ones it's like you'll just might as well
- 29:42Speaker 4: just get cable at that point you're back to the
- 29:45Speaker 4: same amount of money you're shelling out for cable every
- 29:47Speaker 4: time so i know oh well it's the the new
- 29:52Speaker 4: technology that's how it's gonna work i suppose i.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Know i have a blu-ray player now but I don't
- 29:57Speaker 3: have any Blu-ray discs, so I'm like, is there really
- 30:00Speaker 3: that much of a difference?
- 30:02Speaker 4: I don't know, because I got one specifically so I
- 30:04Speaker 4: could watch my Netflix on it, because the Goodwins actually
- 30:07Speaker 4: have that option.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Mine has that option. I won it. I didn't pay
- 30:10Speaker 3: anything for it. I won it in a contest. Because
- 30:13Speaker 3: I'm awesome.
- 30:14Speaker 4: I got it, and I bought a Blu-ray just because, again,
- 30:16Speaker 4: I got one that had cool special features, but I
- 30:19Speaker 4: still don't have a digital TV. I have a TV
- 30:21Speaker 4: from 25 years ago, so it's not going to make
- 30:24Speaker 4: much difference on my TV.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Mine does 3D, too, but I don't have a 3D TV, so.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Again, they keep upgrading this technology before the rest of
- 30:33Speaker 4: us can get on board with it, because we're poor.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Like I said, I had no intention of ever buying
- 30:37Speaker 3: a Blu-ray player, but then when, like, they gave it
- 30:41Speaker 3: to me, I'm like, I ain't gonna tell you no.
- 30:43Speaker 4: I just got it because I wanted to be able
- 30:45Speaker 4: to watch stuff on the TV, and, like, it was, like,
- 30:49Speaker 4: $ 10 more than the Roku box. I'm like, and I
- 30:51Speaker 4: can play Blu-rays if, for some reason, I want one
- 30:54Speaker 4: of these with special features, so... That was my thinking.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't think of anything else I've done. I mean,
- 30:59Speaker 3: I'm sure we've watched a bunch of stuff, but I
- 31:01Speaker 3: can't think of it right now. Like, we watched, oh,
- 31:06Speaker 3: what did I watch? Hemlock Grove? I watched that.
- 31:08Speaker 4: I want to see that.
- 31:09Speaker 3: That was pretty exciting.
- 31:11Speaker 4: I'm okay with that kid. It's the main wolf boy.
- 31:14Speaker 3: And I like the other guy because he's Eric from
- 31:17Speaker 3: True Blood's real life brother. I know it's Alexander Skarsgård,
- 31:22Speaker 3: but I can't think of the other guy's name, and
- 31:23Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure I just totally massacred Alexander Skarsgård' s name
- 31:26Speaker 3: because I just totally said it wrong. But, yeah, the
- 31:29Speaker 3: other guy who plays the wolf boy's friend in Hamlet
- 31:33Speaker 3: Grove is his brother, and I was so excited. And
- 31:36Speaker 3: it's like I'm really confused because at some angles he's
- 31:38Speaker 3: really adorable, and at some I'm like, ugh. Like from
- 31:41Speaker 3: some angles he almost has like Steve Buscemi eyes, which
- 31:43Speaker 3: is not hot on anybody.
- 31:45Speaker 4: This is such misty logic we're listening to right now.
- 31:48Speaker 3: And it had Famke, what's her name? Famke Jensen? Famke Jansen?
- 31:52Speaker 4: I think it's that one.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Famke, whatever the fuck her name is. She's such a bitch. Hello.
- 32:00Speaker 3: That was my nice voice.
- 32:02Speaker 4: It's so fake.
- 32:02Speaker 9: I know, right?
- 32:04Speaker 3: I think everybody can tell. But, Famke Jansen, she plays
- 32:07Speaker 3: such a cunt in this. I swear to God, she's
- 32:10Speaker 3: such a bitch. She is. You just want to punch
- 32:13Speaker 3: her in her face.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I just think it's funny. I don't know if he's
- 32:16Speaker 4: being typecast, but the main wolf boy in this new
- 32:18Speaker 4: show is the wolf boy from the Howling reboot. I'm like,
- 32:22Speaker 4: and that was just a couple years ago. I'm in
- 32:24Speaker 4: the middle of writing a review on that weird Howling reboot.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I don't read any of those anyway.
- 32:28Speaker 4: I'm just saying in general. I need to finish it
- 32:30Speaker 4: because it's funny because I singled him out as being
- 32:32Speaker 4: pretty good in it and then Yeah, it's odd that
- 32:35Speaker 4: he ends up being a wolf boy in the show.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Have you seen the transformation yet? Like, the actual process?
- 32:39Speaker 4: Some people were not thrilled with the transformation.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I'm like, that's just the most impractical transformation I have
- 32:43Speaker 3: seen in the history of ever.
- 32:45Speaker 4: I've also seen, I mean, that's kind of how Company
- 32:47Speaker 4: of Wolves transformation.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Goes, too.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I haven't seen that either, but it just seems.
- 32:50Speaker 4: It's very uncomfortable. Let's put it that way, if you're
- 32:52Speaker 4: not familiar with it.
- 32:53Speaker 3: It just seems very impractical. It just seems like it's
- 32:56Speaker 3: just a shitty way to do it. It just seems very.
- 32:58Speaker 4: It just seems horrific. Like, it's like, what's the most
- 33:02Speaker 4: horrible way we could make this transformation?
- 33:04Speaker 3: And it just seems impractical. Like, you're like, all right. What?
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:11Speaker 4: It seems painful. That's all I have.
- 33:13Speaker 3: And it just seems impractical. That's my main word for it,
- 33:16Speaker 3: is impractical. And, like, there could have been a much
- 33:19Speaker 3: more practical way to do it.
- 33:21Speaker 4: That's the impractical.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I know. That's just, I can't think of any other
- 33:26Speaker 3: words right now. My brain is stuck on that one.
- 33:28Speaker 3: So impractical is the main word. The only word you're
- 33:29Speaker 3: probably going to get out of me right now.
- 33:31Speaker 4: All righty.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Unnecessary. That's another word for you. break out my.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Thesaurus he's my favorite dinosaur i know right.
- 33:41Speaker 3: I have no idea what just happened i'm still not
- 33:43Speaker 3: sure what happened but uh um yes we watched hemlock
- 33:49Speaker 3: grove and i was gonna read the books but then
- 33:52Speaker 3: i got on amazon and i was looking at reviews
- 33:55Speaker 3: and from the reviews i've read on amazon i should
- 33:57Speaker 3: not fucking bother because apparently the book sucks actually there's
- 34:00Speaker 3: only one book so far Like, he's the person getting
- 34:03Speaker 3: ready to release his second book and they've got an
- 34:04Speaker 3: outline for the third. So I'm like, it's going to
- 34:07Speaker 3: be forever until the second season comes out.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Unless they just throw those out the window and do
- 34:12Speaker 4: whatever they want because it's their own show now.
- 34:14Speaker 3: I just ended up having a lot more questions than
- 34:16Speaker 3: they had answers.
- 34:18Speaker 4: That happens sometimes.
- 34:19Speaker 3: It happened a lot in this. I'm just like, what
- 34:21Speaker 3: the fuck did I just see? And why did I
- 34:23Speaker 3: see that? I don't know.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Anything else you've done that we need to pass along
- 34:27Speaker 4: to people?
- 34:28Speaker 3: I'm trying to think. Hurts a little bit. Hold on,
- 34:30Speaker 3: give me a second.
- 34:31Speaker 4: There's smoke coming out.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Of your ears right now. I think I mentioned that
- 34:37Speaker 3: I watched the... I'm pretty sure it's called The Last Enemy.
- 34:39Speaker 3: I could totally be wrong about that right now. It's
- 34:42Speaker 3: like a miniseries that has Benedict Cumberbatch in it, who
- 34:45Speaker 3: I adore. But it's set in, I guess, in the
- 34:48Speaker 3: future world a little bit. We're not too far, but we're...
- 34:53Speaker 3: You have no privacy. We're everything. They can... They know
- 34:57Speaker 3: where you are at all times. They trace your every movement.
- 35:01Speaker 3: They know where you are.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Pretty sneaky, sis.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I know, right? That girl has a lot of green
- 35:05Speaker 3: going on over there.
- 35:07Speaker 1: She kind of does.
- 35:08Speaker 4: She's got green hair and a green outfit.
- 35:11Speaker 3: And again, those shoes do not go with the outfit.
- 35:14Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 35:15Speaker 4: I'm having flashbacks to previous conventions.
- 35:17Speaker 5: I know.
- 35:17Speaker 3: I was thinking of Jodi. That made me think of it.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Didn't Jodi agree with my fashion assessment?
- 35:23Speaker 1: Probably. Probably. Probably.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I think he did. I think he said that he
- 35:26Speaker 3: was shocked and appalled by my language, but he agreed
- 35:29Speaker 3: with my fashion statements.
- 35:30Speaker 4: You two should get like your own fashion show.
- 35:33Speaker 3: That would be the awesomest show ever. The Misty and
- 35:35Speaker 3: Jody show.
- 35:36Speaker 4: I think somebody would be on board for that.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Jody would be so excited. Do you know how happy
- 35:40Speaker 3: he would be?
- 35:41Speaker 4: He would be very excited.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Oh my God. He's my new best friend. I felt
- 35:45Speaker 3: like we bonded.
- 35:46Speaker 4: You kind of did. I mean, it was, you know,
- 35:49Speaker 4: sort of your first solo interview. I first lasted only.
- 35:53Speaker 4: That was your only solo interview, so you were bonding.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Because he forced it on me. I didn't have a choice.
- 35:58Speaker 4: It was sort of pushy in that department.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I'll give him that. I don't.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Remember what we were talking about.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Give me a second. I've got to run through my
- 36:05Speaker 3: brain first. Benedict Cumberbatch being in a show, and it
- 36:11Speaker 3: was awesome. Boyfriend liked it.
- 36:13Speaker 4: I liked it.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Two thumbs up from me, and I would assume two
- 36:17Speaker 3: more from boyfriends. That would be four thumbs. I can
- 36:19Speaker 3: do my math. I'm smart. don't laugh at me i've
- 36:23Speaker 3: got some math skills i'll be spitting.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Numerologies at you you did say you were considering reading
- 36:29Speaker 4: a book earlier so i guess you are.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Quite nerdy yeah but i decided not to oh i know.
- 36:34Speaker 4: You came to your senses i try to talk people.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Out of reading a lot of books i do read
- 36:38Speaker 3: a lot of books and i usually like them i
- 36:40Speaker 3: like pop-up books and books that have pictures I like
- 36:44Speaker 3: the cupcake book. I read that one time that I
- 36:46Speaker 3: did for the show. It was pretty awesome.
- 36:47Speaker 4: We endorsed that thoroughly and wholeheartedly.
- 36:50Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 36:52Speaker 4: It had a Karloff tie-in, which we're going to be, hopefully,
- 36:55Speaker 4: we'll be talking to Sarah later this weekend.
- 36:58Speaker 3: That cop guy over there looks like Big Sandy. Not
- 37:02Speaker 3: just because he's big, but because his face looks like
- 37:04Speaker 3: Big Sandy. And he walks funny.
- 37:09Speaker 8: Anyway.
- 37:11Speaker 3: And soon... I'll be going to the Dukes of Hazzard fanfare,
- 37:14Speaker 3: and I'm super excited about that. And then I'll have
- 37:16Speaker 3: that to talk about.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Do I get to go along with that?
- 37:18Speaker 3: I don't know. There's a lot of people over there
- 37:20Speaker 3: having a car. I think we're good.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Because I want to talk to Roscoe. Nothing else. Like, again,
- 37:25Speaker 4: I don't really even have a tie-in for the Dukes
- 37:27Speaker 4: of Hazzard, but I'm like.
- 37:28Speaker 3: He was on some episodes of The Twilight Zone, and
- 37:29Speaker 3: he was so gorgeous back in the day, like a
- 37:32Speaker 3: long time ago.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Like, if I can get him to sit down and
- 37:34Speaker 4: talk about that, I will make the trip up there.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Down there. It's that way.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Then we'll get to see the Duke boys again.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Although I'm kind of leery because from recent pictures of
- 37:42Speaker 3: John Schneider that I've seen, he's growing a beard.
- 37:45Speaker 4: He's had one of those before.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I don't like it. I don't like him one bit.
- 37:49Speaker 4: He's a rugged mountain man.
- 37:50Speaker 7: What do you want?
- 37:51Speaker 3: He needs to not be a rugged mountain man. I
- 37:52Speaker 3: don't like beards. I don't one bit. And his doesn't
- 37:56Speaker 3: match his hair. It doesn't because his beard is all gray.
- 38:01Speaker 4: It happens as you get old.
- 38:02Speaker 3: But his rest of his hair on his head is
- 38:04Speaker 3: still Beaudouin colored.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 38:06Speaker 3: He's got a little bit of gray, but his face
- 38:08Speaker 3: is like a gray gray. And it's like, makes him
- 38:11Speaker 3: look old. Unless he's just doing it to make Tom
- 38:15Speaker 3: Wopat feel better about himself. Because Tom Wopat did not
- 38:18Speaker 3: age as well as John Schneider has.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Or Catherine Bach. He got to be in a Tarantino movie.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Which one?
- 38:24Speaker 4: He's in Django.
- 38:25Speaker 3: I've never seen it.
- 38:27Speaker 4: He's got a nice little bit part in Django.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Awesome sauce.
- 38:31Speaker 4: He's pretty cool. He plays a good cowboy. It's not
- 38:33Speaker 4: a stretch, I suppose.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Is he from Texas? Does he ride horses?
- 38:38Speaker 4: Not during, I don't think.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I have no desire to see that movie whatsoever.
- 38:44Speaker 4: It's pretty good, actually. As time went on, I'm more
- 38:50Speaker 4: and more impressed. It's written very well, according to me.
- 38:54Speaker 4: Fred disagreed. He posted something just tearing it apart.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I went to the museum. That's what I did.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 39:00Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 39:01Speaker 4: You suck because I didn't get to go.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Not my fault.
- 39:04Speaker 4: I blame you and Marlena for that one.
- 39:07Speaker 3: I blame Lucy. I don't know why.
- 39:09Speaker 4: I'll pass it along. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to
- 39:13Speaker 4: hear she's the scapegoat in this.
- 39:14Speaker 3: We were with Lucy, so it's her fault you weren't
- 39:16Speaker 3: at the museum.
- 39:17Speaker 4: We were recording the last episode.
- 39:18Speaker 3: But you could have recorded it in front of a
- 39:21Speaker 3: goddamn unicorn. You could have done it while riding on
- 39:24Speaker 3: the back of a unicorn. Because they had unicorn rides.
- 39:27Speaker 4: I was not invited before we were already signed on.
- 39:30Speaker 4: on to do that. It's Marlena.
- 39:33Speaker 3: I was barely invited and then I was forgotten until
- 39:35Speaker 3: I reminded her that she had invited me and she's like, oh, okay.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Anyone familiar with Marlena should be like, oh yeah, this
- 39:41Speaker 4: makes sense.
- 39:42Speaker 3: She was too busy sitting around thinking pictures of her cats. Cat, singular. Cross-eyed,
- 39:46Speaker 3: beady little fucker. Marlena's very special. She has the ugliest
- 39:50Speaker 3: cat and the ugliest dog.
- 39:51Speaker 4: I don't know if he's ugly, but he's a jerk.
- 39:53Speaker 4: I've told him his entire life he's a jerk.
- 39:54Speaker 3: He's got tiny little beady eyes.
- 39:56Speaker 4: He's a jerk.
- 39:57Speaker 3: But anyway, so yeah, I went and saw a unicorn.
- 39:59Speaker 3: But then they had unicorn rides. And I didn't get
- 40:01Speaker 3: to see the horses. Because Marlena said they were brown
- 40:05Speaker 3: horses with a horn taped to their head. And I'm like,
- 40:08Speaker 3: you can't have fucking brown horses be unicorns. Because unicorns
- 40:10Speaker 3: are fucking white. There's rules. And you must abide by
- 40:13Speaker 3: these rules. When even in the fucking unicorn world, unicorns
- 40:17Speaker 3: are white. If nothing else, I learned that from Legend.
- 40:21Speaker 3: I mean, in The Last Unicorn, which is a classic
- 40:25Speaker 3: and one of my favorite movies from when I was
- 40:26Speaker 3: a child.
- 40:27Speaker 4: It's sort of a basic unicorn thing. They're usually white.
- 40:30Speaker 3: They're usually white. And they usually have the little tufts
- 40:33Speaker 3: of things by their feet, like on the back of
- 40:35Speaker 3: their ankles. You know, the little tufts of fur. You
- 40:36Speaker 3: know what I'm talking about? Don't laugh at me. Like,
- 40:38Speaker 3: the little hair things.
- 40:39Speaker 4: You and your unicorn criteria.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Apparently they were brown. And I was like, what the fuck?
- 40:45Speaker 3: But I didn't see them. I missed the whole unicorn
- 40:47Speaker 3: ride thing.
- 40:48Speaker 4: We're still yammering on.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Now we're talking about unicorns.
- 40:51Speaker 6: Oh!
- 40:52Speaker 10: Did you hear a comment about unicorns?
- 40:55Speaker 3: I like them. Unicorns are nice. And what color would
- 40:59Speaker 3: you consider unicorns to be? White. Maybe some pink. A
- 41:03Speaker 3: teeny bit of sparkle is okay, too. See, we went
- 41:05Speaker 3: to the museum, and Marlena said that the... I didn't
- 41:10Speaker 3: see the horses because I missed it, but she said
- 41:12Speaker 3: they were brown with, like, horns on their head. But
- 41:17Speaker 3: I'm like, it's a unicorn. You can have that microphone.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Tell them the story.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Tell them the story about you going to see the
- 41:27Speaker 4: movie The Last Unicorn.
- 41:29Speaker 7: I love that movie!
- 41:31Speaker 10: It's actually a traumatic story, traumatic childhood experience. My parents
- 41:36Speaker 10: had to drag me kicking, screaming, and crying out of
- 41:39Speaker 10: the theater because she turned back into a unicorn and
- 41:41Speaker 10: didn't stay a princess and stay with the prince. I've
- 41:44Speaker 10: never watched it again.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Boiler alert.
- 41:46Speaker 3: I'm sorry. If they haven't fucking seen it by now,
- 41:50Speaker 3: throw them in.
- 41:51Speaker 10: I have a question, because when I saw that movie,
- 41:53Speaker 10: I thought all the unicorns went into the ocean and drowned.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Did they survive?
- 41:57Speaker 3: My parents told me they did. I don't remember. You
- 42:00Speaker 3: don't remember? Maybe it was so traumatic that I blocked
- 42:02Speaker 3: it out. It could be.
- 42:04Speaker 4: They all went to a special happy farm where they
- 42:06Speaker 4: run free together. Underwater?
- 42:09Speaker 3: They become unicorn seahorses?
- 42:12Speaker 5: Yes.
- 42:12Speaker 9: Narwhales.
- 42:13Speaker 3: They turn into narwhales.
- 42:14Speaker 1: There you go.
- 42:16Speaker 5: Oh, wow. Oh, lovely.
- 42:18Speaker 9: All right.
- 42:19Speaker 6: Come back and.
- 42:19Speaker 4: See you in a bit. What was your name since
- 42:21Speaker 4: we've gotten you on the show now?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Talk about chupacabras now.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Eddie.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Ben.
- 42:27Speaker 3: There was a chupacabra there, too.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Pulling in random passersby. That's how we operate.
- 42:33Speaker 3: But yeah, I went to the museum and had mystical
- 42:35Speaker 3: creatures and they tried to sucker me and Marlena into
- 42:38Speaker 3: getting our picture taken and charge her just money and
- 42:39Speaker 3: I'm like, fuck that shit. They're like, do you want
- 42:41Speaker 3: to get your picture taken? And I'm like, hell yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 3: They're like, oh, it's going to cost money.
- 42:43Speaker 6: No.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Try to charge me money. I got my own damn camera.
- 42:48Speaker 4: We are poor and stingy on this show.
- 42:50Speaker 3: I went on the first day because it was only
- 42:52Speaker 3: $ 5 instead of like $ 18. Fuck that mess.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Oh, I do need to see it, but now that
- 42:58Speaker 4: my so-called friends went without me, I don't know if
- 43:00Speaker 4: I'm going to have a reason to go, so never mind.
- 43:03Speaker 3: You could have went with us, but you were too
- 43:04Speaker 3: busy doing other stuff.
- 43:06Speaker 4: We were recording an awesome episode.
- 43:09Speaker 3: And we were looking at awesome Bigfoots and Pegasuses and
- 43:13Speaker 3: Unicorns and a Fiji Mermaid.
- 43:18Speaker 4: You guys suck. I think we need to go back
- 43:20Speaker 4: there and record, like, a whole, like, cryptid episode so
- 43:24Speaker 4: I don't know if they're on board to like sponsor
- 43:26Speaker 4: us for that but I mean we need to go
- 43:27Speaker 4: there and hang out next.
- 43:28Speaker 3: To the Bigfoot then we walked through the slave ship
- 43:30Speaker 3: and that was kind of depressing.
- 43:31Speaker 4: That one's been there a while that was there when.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I went years ago I've never been there before.
- 43:34Speaker 4: The only time I went was for that goofy thing I.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Think we got lost we were just wandering around we
- 43:39Speaker 3: ended up not in the mystic creatures area anymore and I'm.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Like the other stuff there is pretty cool I like
- 43:45Speaker 4: weaponry so you know there's.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Lots of guns I was pretty excited.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Guns and swords and whatnot but alright that's all we
- 43:51Speaker 4: need to go there and.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Hang out with Bigfoot It wasn't a very good Bigfoot.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Did you see a picture of it? It looked like
- 43:56Speaker 3: just a giant monkey.
- 43:58Speaker 4: There are those theories. We'll have to get Ben back
- 44:00Speaker 4: over here for that because he is the Bigfoot expert.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Or I don't know if he actually calls himself an expert,
- 44:05Speaker 4: but he has theories. Let's put it that way.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Most people have theories and most of them are full
- 44:10Speaker 3: of shit. There's no Bigfoots.
- 44:13Speaker 4: But there is... Big monkeys. A Bigfoot episode coming your
- 44:17Speaker 4: way before long. Because we will return to that one.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Everybody seems to have fun with the Bigfoot theme, so
- 44:22Speaker 4: we'll be back with that one.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Who'd you say the Bigfoot man is?
- 44:25Speaker 9: Ben.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Oh, that's okay.
- 44:27Speaker 4: And Dave, actually. Both of them are well-versed in Bigfoot.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Looking for the big monkey.
- 44:33Speaker 4: She is now showing me the picture of Bigfoot, and
- 44:35Speaker 4: he does kind of look like... It's this one over here,
- 44:37Speaker 4: not me. Oh, wait, that's you. You're the Bigfoot. Hold
- 44:41Speaker 4: on a minute.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Smartass.
- 44:43Speaker 4: No, he's like a mixture. He kind of looks like...
- 44:46Speaker 4: He's got hair sort of like a... And a face
- 44:49Speaker 4: more like an orangutan. But he's like and standing like
- 44:54Speaker 4: he's a gorilla. So I think they just mix the
- 44:56Speaker 4: monkeys together.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Look at the Fiji Mermaid. He's pretty awesome.
- 44:59Speaker 4: I have a Fiji Mermaid because I'm a freak.
- 45:03Speaker 3: They had a Kraken and we released.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Released the Kraken.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I totally said that too.
- 45:09Speaker 4: It's pretty awesome.
- 45:11Speaker 3: I do want to get my picture with that robot though.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I think I have a picture with that robot like
- 45:14Speaker 3: 10 years ago.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I have one of me from a long time ago.
- 45:18Speaker 4: But we did unveil the new t-shirt. T-shirt's awesome.
- 45:22Speaker 3: As excited as I normally get, I guess.
- 45:23Speaker 4: I'm posting pictures. You, yourself, if there's any left after
- 45:26Speaker 4: this weekend, they will be available via the website or
- 45:30Speaker 4: message us on Facebook and say, hey, that is an
- 45:33Speaker 4: awesome shirt with awesome artwork by Belle Dee and you
- 45:35Speaker 4: can get yourself one.
- 45:37Speaker 3: I forgot to mention that we saw a fake Feldman
- 45:39Speaker 3: wandering around the street the other day making duck sounds.
- 45:42Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Only the hardcore fans know that one. And basically the
- 45:46Speaker 4: ones that listen to your episodes.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Because those are the best episodes. Anyways, he was walking
- 45:51Speaker 3: down the street going to the store, I'm assuming. I
- 45:53Speaker 3: don't know if he had, like, a duck call or
- 45:54Speaker 3: he was just making them on his own. I couldn't tell.
- 45:57Speaker 3: I didn't, like, want to make eye contact because he, like,
- 45:59Speaker 3: might come talk. He seemed like he wanted to talk
- 46:01Speaker 3: to me, which threw me off because fake Billboards usually
- 46:03Speaker 3: just wander the neighborhood.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Yeah, he's usually afraid because you guys are so obsessed
- 46:07Speaker 4: with him.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I know. Oh, the lady was wearing socks and sandals. But, yeah,
- 46:12Speaker 3: he made eye contact and was like... And then he just.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Maybe he doesn't have the power of speech and all
- 46:19Speaker 4: he can do is make duck calls. I don't know.
- 46:21Speaker 11: Maybe.
- 46:22Speaker 3: But yeah, all I hear is this. I'm like, what
- 46:26Speaker 3: the fuck is that? Why is it in our neighborhood? Weird.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I hand washed the truck. And I look over and
- 46:33Speaker 3: there's fake film and wandering down the street. I just
- 46:37Speaker 3: had a more duck like than that. I don't have
- 46:39Speaker 3: a duck call, so I can't really make a duck sound.
- 46:41Speaker 4: You have a very special life.
- 46:43Speaker 3: They put Crazy June in a home. Crazy June.
- 46:46Speaker 4: Oh, the one on your street.
- 46:47Speaker 3: The one who walks down the street yelling at cars.
- 46:49Speaker 3: They put her in a nursing home because from what
- 46:52Speaker 3: she told Jay, she's full of cancer and they're going
- 46:55Speaker 3: to take her to the doctor and shoot her in
- 46:56Speaker 3: the head.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Is that how they operate? This is what she.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Told the neighbor because Jay was out talking to the
- 47:01Speaker 3: neighbor and she wandered up because that's what she does,
- 47:03Speaker 3: wanders about. I've got me all kinds of cancer and
- 47:07Speaker 3: they're going to take me to the doctor and shoot
- 47:09Speaker 3: me in the head. I'm like.
- 47:11Speaker 4: That's not what they did with Angelina Jolie. It's equally
- 47:15Speaker 4: as scary, I suppose.
- 47:18Speaker 3: And she didn't even have cancer. She thought she might
- 47:20Speaker 3: get it.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Yeah, because I was going through this yesterday that she
- 47:23Speaker 4: had cancerous cells is what I was told. I was like,
- 47:27Speaker 4: if she didn't have them at all, that's crazy. But
- 47:30Speaker 4: if she... Because apparently her mom... Yeah, her mom died.
- 47:33Speaker 4: But again, I'm like, okay, yeah, but her mom didn't
- 47:35Speaker 4: die from breast cancer. Her mom died from ovarian cancer.
- 47:39Speaker 3: She's getting her ovaries taken out too. I know.
- 47:40Speaker 4: I was like, how many things can you get rid
- 47:42Speaker 4: of here? Cancer sucks. It's a losing battle.
- 47:45Speaker 3: There's nothing you can do. With the genes she had,
- 47:47Speaker 3: she had an 85% chance of getting breast cancer. So
- 47:50Speaker 3: now that she's gotten removed and had reconstructive surgery, now
- 47:54Speaker 3: she's down to like a 5% chance.
- 47:57Speaker 4: I mean, she's got kids. She's got family to take
- 48:00Speaker 4: care of. I totally appreciate what she's doing, but I'm
- 48:02Speaker 4: just like, That's a lot to deal with. Like, all
- 48:05Speaker 4: of these surgeries. That's crazy.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Now she's getting ready to have both of her ovaries
- 48:08Speaker 3: taken out.
- 48:09Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 48:10Speaker 3: It's like, damn.
- 48:11Speaker 4: She needs to recover because we need a salt, too.
- 48:13Speaker 4: That's all I'm saying.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Didn't she die in the first one?
- 48:15Speaker 4: Come back, Angelina.
- 48:16Speaker 11: Come back.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Did she die in the first one? I've never seen it.
- 48:19Speaker 3: I heard she died.
- 48:19Speaker 4: I actually love salt.
- 48:20Speaker 3: I've never seen it.
- 48:21Speaker 4: I was probably one of the few people. I thought
- 48:23Speaker 4: it was a pretty entertaining action movie. It had a
- 48:26Speaker 4: fun little dynamic. It had Liev Schreiner. I like that guy.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Cotton Weary yeah Cotton Weary he's always going to be
- 48:34Speaker 3: Cotton Weary I know.
- 48:35Speaker 4: I still kind of think of him as Cotton Weary
- 48:37Speaker 4: we need to get him on the show too he
- 48:38Speaker 4: seems like a cool guy I can't think if.
- 48:41Speaker 3: I've watched anything else it's been so long since I've
- 48:43Speaker 3: done the show that I really don't remember what I've done.
- 48:47Speaker 4: We can round it out if you're out of ideas
- 48:48Speaker 4: I think I'm out of.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Ideas and I kind of have to pee I don't
- 48:53Speaker 3: want to take our audience with me on that.
- 48:55Speaker 4: Excursion no I still want to be able to use
- 48:57Speaker 4: these mics I'm not letting you take it.
- 48:59Speaker 3: With you okay good All right. I don't even think
- 49:03Speaker 3: my boyfriend texts me from the bathroom. I don't. I
- 49:06Speaker 3: don't do that.
- 49:07Speaker 1: It's inappropriate.
- 49:08Speaker 9: It is.
- 49:08Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 49:09Speaker 9: Stop.
- 49:11Speaker 5: All right.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Well, you guys have gotten your misty fix for a while,
- 49:14Speaker 4: until probably the next. I have decided, if nothing else,
- 49:17Speaker 4: now you're our, what was I calling it?
- 49:19Speaker 3: Road correspondence.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Our convention correspondent.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Hell, yeah.
- 49:23Speaker 4: That's usually when we see you. Every once in a while,
- 49:25Speaker 4: we'll drag everything to your house. That way, you don't
- 49:28Speaker 4: have to leave the house to record.
- 49:29Speaker 3: My house is a very comfortable temperature.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Yeah, compared to mine, it is. I think we've rounded
- 49:35Speaker 4: out our misty time. For now. I'm sure you will
- 49:38Speaker 4: be back in the near future, whether they like it
- 49:39Speaker 4: or not.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Who cares if they like it or not?
- 49:42Speaker 4: I like bringing you back on, so you're on as
- 49:44Speaker 4: far as I'm concerned. There's no escape from the meltdown.
- 49:47Speaker 3: All right.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I think we've rambled on.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Yep. Yep.
- 49:50Speaker 3: I need to go pee still.
- 49:52Speaker 4: I think we should round this one out. So say goodbye, Misty.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Until next time.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Goodbye, Misty.
- 49:57Speaker 4: You're not. To the listeners.
- 50:01Speaker 3: I'm still denying that anybody actually listens.
- 50:03Speaker 4: You've seen them. They walked up and said, you've met
- 50:06Speaker 4: several today.
- 50:06Speaker 3: You probably paid them.
- 50:08Speaker 4: No, no, no. I've seen them at the last show.
- 50:11Speaker 3: They've not listened to ones that I've been on. Therefore,
- 50:13Speaker 3: they are not one of my listeners.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Well, most people stop listening when they realize you're on
- 50:16Speaker 4: it because they're offended and appalled and what else were they?
- 50:20Speaker 5: Shocked.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Shocked.
- 50:21Speaker 4: They are shocked by your language.
- 50:23Speaker 3: That's why I'm not on very much. I figure you
- 50:26Speaker 3: got your smart people and your presentable people.
- 50:28Speaker 4: It's not me, but the other people are quite smart
- 50:31Speaker 4: that are on the show. So, you know. And then
- 50:34Speaker 4: I bring you on and we balance things out because
- 50:36Speaker 4: we're both dumb. So it's cool.
- 50:38Speaker 3: I'm not dumb. I'm just a bitch.
- 50:40Speaker 1: That too.
- 50:41Speaker 3: I speak my words and they're usually bad.
- 50:44Speaker 4: Can't argue that.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Chock full of profanities.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Yep.
- 50:48Speaker 3: If I can string together more than one fucking sentence
- 50:51Speaker 3: without a profanity, you're lucky.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Didn't work that time. I know, right?
- 50:54Speaker 3: That was a fragment, so it didn't really fucking count.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Even though there are small children wandering by. It's not
- 51:00Speaker 3: really that small.
- 51:00Speaker 4: It's not stopped you before.
- 51:01Speaker 3: I know it has not.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Tell them all goodbye.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Goodbye.
- 51:05Speaker 4: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Except for me, I probably won't return next week.
- 51:11Speaker 4: The show will. You are a slacker and you don't
- 51:14Speaker 4: leave the house. Okay. You can't argue that one. We
- 51:19Speaker 4: usually have to bring it to you. Convention correspondent.
- 51:23Speaker 6: That's all I'm saying.
- 51:24Speaker 5: Used to come from miles around, have dinner on the
- 51:26Speaker 5: ground underneath those old shaped trees. And sing the old
- 51:30Speaker 5: songs in shaped notes in four part harmony. Like he
- 51:36Speaker 5: set me free and he invited me and anywhere is home.
- 51:41Speaker 3: How long?
- 51:42Speaker 5: Has it been since you heard an old convention song?
- 51:46Speaker 1: I'd still, I'd still love to.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Hear, love to hear those old convention songs.
- 51:52Speaker 9: That I heard, that I heard as a child, as
- 51:55Speaker 9: I sang them all day long.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Like I'm a-gonna walk in just a little talk and
- 52:00Speaker 5: all the day long. How long has it been since
- 52:05Speaker 5: you heard an old convention song?
- 52:17Speaker 2: Gospel songs today have a lot to say. They lift
- 52:20Speaker 2: you up when you're feeling down. Some have a country flavor.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Some have a modern sound. They all serve the need
- 52:29Speaker 2: of planning seats, so I know they can't go wrong.
- 52:33Speaker 2: So there's none so dear as when I hear an
- 52:36Speaker 2: old convention song. I'd still love to hear those old
- 52:42Speaker 2: convention songs.
- 52:44Speaker 9: How long has it been since you heard an.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Old convention song?
- 52:47Speaker 5: How long has it been since you heard after a while?
- 52:51Speaker 6: How long since you heard?
- 53:08Speaker 5: Give the world a smile.
- 53:11Speaker 9: How long since you heard I'm winging my way back home?
- 53:16Speaker 9: How long has it been since you heard an old
- 53:20Speaker 9: condition song? How long has it been since you heard
- 53:25Speaker 9: an old condition song?
- 53:26Speaker 3: An old condition song.
