- 0:00Speaker 1: The wood shot. All right, So what's the trashiest, most
- 0:06Speaker 1: redneck thing you've seen? Eight seven seven forty four. What
- 0:11Speaker 1: is the phone number? Text us over to two to
- 0:13Speaker 1: nine eight seven. I think me personally, I told my
- 0:17Speaker 1: wife's story about the Walmart the breastfeeding, but personally, I'm
- 0:22Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh. I'm at Kenny Wood Park and there's a
- 0:28Speaker 1: woman sitting there on a bench. Well, no, she's she's
- 0:31Speaker 1: sitting in between two benches on a rock wall. She
- 0:34Speaker 1: is a good eight months pregnant with a belly shirt on,
- 0:40Speaker 1: smoking a cigarette.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Hot.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I took a picture, Yeah, proof I did, because I
- 0:46Speaker 1: oh yeah, I'm like, wow, super super class. She's just fat. No, no, no,
- 0:51Speaker 1: she's she's met skinny, but she is a good eight
- 0:54Speaker 1: i'd say eight and a half months pregnant, Becky, and
- 0:58Speaker 1: she's just smoking away.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I have a feeling that's not the only thing she's smoking, but.
- 1:04Speaker 2: With some chick mega saying pregnant. But she did have
- 1:08Speaker 2: a head of tattoo in her belly, so just absolutely
- 1:12Speaker 2: sucking down on a j no.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Ye, hell yeah, yeah, trashest thing you've seen. Let's say
- 1:16Speaker 1: hi to h Kelly. What's up? Kelly? Kelly, is Kelly there?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Did she put us on hold? That's a first calls us.
- 1:35Speaker 4: We appreciate your cone and they put.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Us on hold. That's kind of Kelly. Hello, Hi, that's
- 1:44Speaker 1: all right. We held Were we on hold? Yeah? We
- 1:46Speaker 1: were on hold.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Yes, I've had a dog emergency. I'm so sorry.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That's okay. Is everything all right?
- 1:52Speaker 6: Everything is okay?
- 1:54Speaker 7: Yes, thank you so much.
- 1:55Speaker 5: We have a cat that's been heat around here.
- 1:56Speaker 6: It's so stupid whatever, all.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Right, So, Ally, what's the what's the trashiest thing You've
- 2:01Speaker 1: ever seen?
- 2:03Speaker 5: So the trashiest thing I've seen lately. My neighbor pulls
- 2:06Speaker 5: up last week and is beat down nineteen seventies RV.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I'm talking rusty and crusty.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Right, Oh, it's like a Christmas vacation.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Yeah, oh dude, totally.
- 2:17Speaker 5: He jumps the curb while he's backing it up into
- 2:20Speaker 5: his front yard, blows out both tires in the back
- 2:24Speaker 5: of this thing. He takes out his own plumeria in
- 2:27Speaker 5: his own yard, and he parks this beast in his
- 2:30Speaker 5: in his yard like it's a parking lot and leaves
- 2:34Speaker 5: it there like it's just, you know, a permanent fixture.
- 2:38Speaker 5: He does this kind of nonsense all the time, and
- 2:41Speaker 5: it's going to be there until the city busts him
- 2:44Speaker 5: out and makes him move it.
- 2:46Speaker 8: Okay, for the first time in my life, I'm like,
- 2:48Speaker 8: you know what, maybe I get why there's an hoa.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, your lawn. Greg's got a problem with the people
- 2:55Speaker 1: with the trash cans been there for well over. Greg
- 2:59Speaker 1: doesn't even like you when you park your own car
- 3:02Speaker 1: in your own driveway.
- 3:04Speaker 9: It's weird because you know, the houses have these things
- 3:06Speaker 9: called what they oh, garage.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but as long as it's in the drive I
- 3:11Speaker 1: don't like street parking in residential neighborhood unless it's a guest.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm saying, but when you live in the house and
- 3:16Speaker 1: you're still parking on the street, what would you do?
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's my favorite look.
- 3:19Speaker 9: You know, my former neighbor had an RV that had
- 3:23Speaker 9: weeds growing through the tires that had been there for
- 3:26Speaker 9: so long, and oh god, it's just a night depression,
- 3:29Speaker 9: so depressive. They never use it.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Captain W t up in here, I'm serious.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Crazy Well Kelly, Well, it's like Kelly, go Kelly, thank
- 3:40Speaker 1: you for the call. Appreciate you.
- 3:41Speaker 10: Look with the cats today, when I would drive to
- 3:45Speaker 10: work before I moved. There was somebody that had a
- 3:48Speaker 10: huge boat just parked out on the street in front
- 3:51Speaker 10: of the house.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, trailer boat.
- 3:54Speaker 10: Trailers you can often get towed, actually a massive boat.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Here's somebody who left because we actually leave. On the
- 4:00Speaker 1: after hours voice Molf, you had something like, what's the
- 4:02Speaker 1: tragediest thing you've ever seen?
- 4:03Speaker 11: Here's one, Hey Woody show. I was just listening to
- 4:06Speaker 11: the podcast and I heard you all asking for the
- 4:09Speaker 11: most rednecked thing we've ever seen. Mine is rather personal.
- 4:13Speaker 11: I returned home from work one day to find my
- 4:16Speaker 11: now husband in our backyard with a homemade flamethrower trying
- 4:21Speaker 11: to melt the paint off of a file cabinet. The
- 4:24Speaker 11: play dower was essentially a propane bottle with a hose
- 4:28Speaker 11: and a metal apparatus on it to direct the flanks.
- 4:31Speaker 11: When I asked him what it was he wanted to
- 4:34Speaker 11: do with this file cabinet or what his purpose was,
- 4:37Speaker 11: he said he wanted to make a smoker out of
- 4:40Speaker 11: the file the paint off of it. First, a smoker
- 4:44Speaker 11: as in meat, that is that you're going to eat
- 4:49Speaker 11: inside the file cabinet and cook it and then serve
- 4:53Speaker 11: it to your family. You love Woody show. I love
- 4:56Speaker 11: listening to you every day. Please keep doing what you do.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's not a homemade yeah, holding one, but the same
- 5:06Speaker 1: idea propane with a sure distributor on the end.
- 5:08Speaker 10: I've seen the file cabinet thing in the hood too.
- 5:12Speaker 1: That barrel is the hood move right and being homemade.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Somebody five year roo says, my brother in law's a redneck.
- 5:18Speaker 1: He traded labor for an enclosed motorcycle trailer. He pulled
- 5:21Speaker 1: the motorcycle stuff out of the window for a window
- 5:24Speaker 1: ac unit boom camping trailer. Then he made a canoe
- 5:28Speaker 1: at a plywood and fashion a propeller from his weed
- 5:31Speaker 1: eater boom fishing boat. With these guys took the family
- 5:36Speaker 1: camp into a state park. He got three tickets for
- 5:39Speaker 1: the non registered boat with no life preservers and got
- 5:42Speaker 1: kicked from the camp.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I like this guy's can do spirit.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yeah, he just he just makes it. See this one
- 5:50Speaker 1: was at a water park, said a woman in her
- 5:52Speaker 1: four maybe five year old came out of the kitty
- 5:55Speaker 1: area and to her table and chairs right in front
- 5:57Speaker 1: of me, like I could reach forward to touch them.
- 5:59Speaker 1: There were so close. Whipped out a makeshift toilet, the
- 6:03Speaker 1: little girl strip completely naked and then crapped in this box.
- 6:07Speaker 1: She then put the swimsuit back on through the box
- 6:10Speaker 1: in the trash, then proceeded to pull out a literal
- 6:13Speaker 1: butcher's knife to make sandwiches. And how that god passed security,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't know. But how can you say trashy?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Good God?
- 6:20Speaker 1: See best?
- 6:20Speaker 4: That just smacks of juggler behavior.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That smacks it really daughter's behavior. Well, my daughter was
- 6:25Speaker 1: like three, maybe two or three, wrapped on the sidewalk. Ye, yeah, yes,
- 6:31Speaker 1: she didn't make sandwiches after yeah, eight seven four Woodie,
- 6:35Speaker 1: let's go to uh Christy, Hey Christy, good morning. Hey,
- 6:41Speaker 1: how are you all right? So what's the trashiest thing
- 6:42Speaker 1: you've seen?
- 6:44Speaker 6: So a few years ago, my sister and I were
- 6:47Speaker 6: at a major amusement park in Orange County, YEP. And
- 6:51Speaker 6: we were on our way to the restrooms and to
- 6:54Speaker 6: the side of us there was a brick wall, not
- 6:56Speaker 6: one of the big six foot brick walls, but kind
- 6:59Speaker 6: of the little one, and there was a lady sitting
- 7:02Speaker 6: on the brick wall with her shirt up and her
- 7:05Speaker 6: kid was standing breastfeeding.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Oh so yeah, you can reach it.
- 7:10Speaker 4: The Walmart story you should be able to reach it.
- 7:12Speaker 12: On your The kid was five or six years old,
- 7:17Speaker 12: sixty was a palled and my sisters starts yelling, you
- 7:22Speaker 12: are a pig.
- 7:23Speaker 6: You're in a family park, You're a pig.
- 7:25Speaker 12: And I'm like, oh my god.
- 7:27Speaker 6: But yeah. She had burken.
- 7:28Speaker 12: Stocks on and a yeah yeah, you know, a T
- 7:32Speaker 12: shirt all tight. It was disgusting, but yeah, yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 1: See like when the when the kid's old enough to
- 7:36Speaker 1: come up and request it using words, you know.
- 7:39Speaker 3: What I mean, and goes to school.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Were two, that's yeah, that's that they have a Job's
- 7:46Speaker 1: the flow today?
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I want mommy's mail.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Christ thank you for the call. Here's another one of
- 7:50Speaker 1: the after hours voicemails. Trashiest thing you've seen?
- 7:53Speaker 10: What's up?
- 7:54Speaker 6: Whatny show?
- 7:54Speaker 7: I've got a trashiest thing that somebody did for you.
- 7:57Speaker 7: So my neighbor goes around to other people's trash every week.
- 8:01Speaker 6: He collects items.
- 8:02Speaker 7: And brings them home to sell, and he has yard sales,
- 8:05Speaker 7: garage sales or whatever. For some reason, he thinks old
- 8:07Speaker 7: wheelchairs and bedside and shower toilets are a hot item.
- 8:11Speaker 7: Of course, no one ever buys them, so he has
- 8:13Speaker 7: a backyard full of old used wheelchairs and portable commotes.
- 8:17Speaker 7: I swear to God, I can't make this ish U.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Dude is a d bag later.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Wheelchair graveyard.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Your backyard power toilets are the best shower seats.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Shower seats you can use?
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 9: There the best when you do it by choice, when
- 8:40Speaker 9: you have to because you're old. It's so depressive.
- 8:43Speaker 1: That's what I got from my place. That was awesome. Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 1: there was a there was a house on the way
- 8:48Speaker 1: to my grandma's place, and I told you the guy
- 8:51Speaker 1: he had a thing with with bowling balls. Yeah and
- 8:55Speaker 1: hundreds right, yeah, a ton of bowling balls and would
- 8:57Speaker 1: line both sides of his driveway and then the walkway
- 9:00Speaker 1: from the driveway up to the house. On TV, I
- 9:05Speaker 1: think it made. I think it made the pages of
- 9:07Speaker 1: remember those Weird Whatever book. This is like Weird New Jersey.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They have like Weird Whatever California.
- 9:15Speaker 9: As well, like America's Ugliest.
- 9:17Speaker 1: House, Central Jersey. Like just drive by this because there
- 9:22Speaker 1: was another guy not that far from this dude who
- 9:24Speaker 1: had just a ton of hobby horses all over the
- 9:27Speaker 1: front yard. Hundreds, got hundreds.
- 9:30Speaker 4: He's got to be on a watch list.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So weird we actually take.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Issue with one. There's somebody that texted in that I
- 9:36Speaker 4: actually they say is trashy. I think it's hot. So
- 9:39Speaker 4: I'm wondering if you guys agree. I think this guy
- 9:41Speaker 4: sounds badass. They said, we had a guy ride his
- 9:43Speaker 4: horse to a doctor's.
- 9:44Speaker 8: Appointment because his car broke down. He was on major
- 9:47Speaker 8: roads and on the side of an interstate, so effing trashy.
- 9:50Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I think it's kind of hot.
- 9:54Speaker 8: Yeah, Like he wrote, his car broke down and so
- 9:55Speaker 8: he like grabbed his horse and rode it to the appointment.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I've getting a little no.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Trashy.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I think it's cool.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Six six one says, going to my mom's cousin's house.
- 10:08Speaker 1: We were from Arkansas. The neighbor had a deck built
- 10:11Speaker 1: around an inflatable pool. That's crash persive.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Looks undergrad. That's funny.
- 10:24Speaker 1: We have a studio guest. His name is Flash Shelton,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and you're like, man, that name sounds familiar. Have you
- 10:30Speaker 1: heard the name squatter Hunter. Yeah, there's a show Squatters
- 10:35Speaker 1: that's on A and E. It's also on demand, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: it's all about the work that Flash is doing with
- 10:42Speaker 1: the help of a number of other people he's got
- 10:44Speaker 1: on his team now, and this is all across the country,
- 10:46Speaker 1: not just one particular place.
- 10:48Speaker 12: Uh.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And he goes in to people who are having issues
- 10:51Speaker 1: with squatters. People have just taken over a property they
- 10:53Speaker 1: decided it's just theirs now, and he becomes their roommate
- 10:56Speaker 1: and he just makes things uncomfortable for them until they
- 11:00Speaker 1: eventually give a believer or whatever. So a lot of
- 11:05Speaker 1: people are the same on on the text, a lot
- 11:07Speaker 1: of the same kind of questions like what if I
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't understand, like, you get home and you find people
- 11:12Speaker 1: in your house and you shoot them. Shooting intruders in
- 11:14Speaker 1: your own house should be fine, right, And that probably
- 11:18Speaker 1: depends on the state that you're in. Obviously there's uh,
- 11:22Speaker 1: you know the stand your ground castle law thing things
- 11:26Speaker 1: like that. I mean, so it's state by state, but
- 11:29Speaker 1: it should be that way. Someone's in your house so
- 11:31Speaker 1: you didn't invite there, Yeah, you should be you should
- 11:34Speaker 1: be able to shoot them. But from from like when
- 11:36Speaker 1: it comes to these squatters and stuff, like, what's the actual.
- 11:39Speaker 13: Well, the thing is that you know, if you fire,
- 11:42Speaker 13: if you shoot a firearm, your life is going to change,
- 11:45Speaker 13: and it's going to change a lot much worse than
- 11:48Speaker 13: having a squatter. So you got a weigh that and
- 11:51Speaker 13: most states, you know, not all states, but but the
- 11:53Speaker 13: stand yourd grounds require you being in an imminent threat.
- 11:58Speaker 13: Like so if you enter an they are already there
- 12:01Speaker 13: and you have the option to leave, the law requires
- 12:04Speaker 13: you to leave.
- 12:04Speaker 10: He was coming right for me though.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so a lot of people hear castle doctrine and
- 12:10Speaker 2: standard ground and they don't know what it actually means.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 10: But the main question should be, though, why aren't any
- 12:16Speaker 10: of these laws changing.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I think they are in some places.
- 12:20Speaker 13: So you know, I helped change the law in Florida,
- 12:22Speaker 13: and you know, but that law, you know, it was
- 12:26Speaker 13: great at the time, but there was there's you know,
- 12:31Speaker 13: the laws need to be changed properly, and I'm trying
- 12:34Speaker 13: to help, like, you know, word them properly and cover
- 12:38Speaker 13: all angles. For example, Florida, it was great. It said
- 12:41Speaker 13: that if they weren't paying a rent and they didn't
- 12:43Speaker 13: have a lease, that the sheriff can go out and
- 12:46Speaker 13: immediately remove them.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Cool.
- 12:48Speaker 13: The problem was it was great, yeah, right in all
- 12:51Speaker 13: the states to just do that.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 13: The problem is squatters took that and said, okay, so
- 12:56Speaker 13: now how can I manipulate the situation, get a but
- 13:00Speaker 13: never make a payment. Now I have one of those factors.
- 13:03Speaker 13: I'm a tenant. That law doesn't apply to me. The
- 13:06Speaker 13: other thing that we wanted that in that law was
- 13:09Speaker 13: we wanted leases to be treated like contracts. A lease
- 13:13Speaker 13: is a contract in every way except for how it's treated. Okay,
- 13:19Speaker 13: So a lease the end date creates civil process. Right,
- 13:23Speaker 13: a regular contract the end date the deal is over right, right,
- 13:27Speaker 13: everyone goes their separate way. Leases are not treated like that.
- 13:30Speaker 13: So we wanted these leases to have be notarized and
- 13:34Speaker 13: to be treated like real contracts, and that didn't pass.
- 13:38Speaker 13: In order to get the squatter law changed to pass,
- 13:42Speaker 13: they had to remove all of the lease factors completely
- 13:46Speaker 13: out of it or they wouldn't sign off on the bill.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Okay, so you can't shoot them. What else can you
- 13:51Speaker 1: not do if there's a squatter like and you are
- 13:55Speaker 1: the owner, I'm going to some other things you cannot do.
- 13:57Speaker 13: I'm going to make it very very clear, and owner
- 14:00Speaker 13: of a property cannot do anything with intent to get
- 14:05Speaker 13: their squatter to leave.
- 14:09Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Why sound they are not allowed to?
- 14:13Speaker 13: If it like literally, it can come down to if
- 14:16Speaker 13: you tell them to leave more than once.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It's harassment.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I don't understand that.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I mean, it is so crazy.
- 14:25Speaker 9: You can't change the locks, you can't turn up the path.
- 14:26Speaker 13: So yeah, you know, now you can change the locks,
- 14:30Speaker 13: but you have to give them a key. Wow, So
- 14:34Speaker 13: even when I changed the locks, I have to give
- 14:36Speaker 13: them a key.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Why?
- 14:37Speaker 13: Okay, so change the loss says that change we changed
- 14:40Speaker 13: the locks because they have changed the locks and kept
- 14:43Speaker 13: the homean around. Now, the law does say that all
- 14:46Speaker 13: parties deserve access. All parties must have a key. Now,
- 14:51Speaker 13: it isn't necessarily that they have a key, because you
- 14:53Speaker 13: can remove the lock and have the door have them
- 14:57Speaker 13: access and that's legal okay, but they can't have a
- 15:01Speaker 13: lock without you having a key. And it goes both ways.
- 15:05Speaker 4: So the homeowner gets their key back, but so does
- 15:07Speaker 4: everybody else.
- 15:08Speaker 13: Yeah, so you know a homeowner can do his inspections
- 15:11Speaker 13: and have access.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I thought, like the minute that you like, I was
- 15:14Speaker 1: under the impression even watching uh the show. I haven't
- 15:18Speaker 1: seen every episode, but I've seen enough in the I
- 15:21Speaker 1: was I was under the impression that, like, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you were kind of waiting for these people to leave
- 15:25Speaker 1: the house, right and then once they left the house,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you could change the locks and then now they can't
- 15:29Speaker 1: get back in the threshold. Kind of problem solved. But
- 15:32Speaker 1: that's give the key.
- 15:35Speaker 13: Every case in every state is different. So some situations
- 15:39Speaker 13: I can do that, others I can't. It just depends
- 15:43Speaker 13: on like have they established any kind of rights? Have
- 15:46Speaker 13: they established tenor rights are am I being contacted? Like
- 15:50Speaker 13: for example, in my original situation, if they wanted to
- 15:54Speaker 13: force it, they could prove that their furniture was in
- 15:56Speaker 13: the house and I would have had to let them
- 15:58Speaker 13: in back in, okay, But you know I was handling
- 16:01Speaker 13: it like, look, I'm not let I was telling them
- 16:05Speaker 13: I'm not letting you in. But you know, situations are
- 16:08Speaker 13: different to where I have to learn everything about who
- 16:12Speaker 13: they are, you know, try to plan out what their
- 16:15Speaker 13: moves are going to be. And if a situation allows me,
- 16:18Speaker 13: and that state allows me to, you know, go in,
- 16:22Speaker 13: lock them out, stay in there, take possession, and that's
- 16:25Speaker 13: what I do.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So what state? What state? Is there a state that
- 16:29Speaker 1: you just won't even deal with like like to it's
- 16:33Speaker 1: just too complicated, too much.
- 16:35Speaker 13: You know, that's an easy one for me, But it's
- 16:38Speaker 13: not as it's not that I won't deal with it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I will, and I've been successful there. But the most
- 16:44Speaker 3: complicated one is New York.
- 16:46Speaker 1: That's where friend, that's.
- 16:50Speaker 13: New York has this law that is so crazy and
- 16:53Speaker 13: I have no idea what they were smoking, but it's
- 16:58Speaker 13: a thirty day law. And it's the only state to
- 17:01Speaker 13: my knowledge right now, that has this strict law that says,
- 17:05Speaker 13: no matter how they enter, they can break into your house,
- 17:11Speaker 13: hide in the attic and managed to stay there for
- 17:14Speaker 13: thirty days and they are a full fledged tenant and
- 17:17Speaker 13: the next morning they're down eating your breakfast cereal.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That's crazy. I don't like what I don't telling people
- 17:22Speaker 1: get in a room and go, yeah, that sounds like
- 17:24Speaker 1: a good idea. Let's sign off on that.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Who are you protecting?
- 17:26Speaker 11: You know?
- 17:27Speaker 10: Now you brought a type of person, and that's what
- 17:30Speaker 10: I wanted to ask, like, who is this person?
- 17:35Speaker 3: Okay, so I'm going to.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Tell you there's a prison guard. Yeah, but I'm going
- 17:40Speaker 1: to tell you I guess that.
- 17:41Speaker 13: That when you see a squatter, you're right away gonna
- 17:45Speaker 13: be like most a lot of times, you know, because
- 17:48Speaker 13: people think they have in their head like a squatter
- 17:50Speaker 13: is a homeless person. And I'm going to tell you
- 17:51Speaker 13: right now, homeless people don't break into your home and
- 17:55Speaker 13: know what their rights are. They're homeless people. The reason
- 17:58Speaker 13: they're homeless is because they're living in a tent or
- 18:00Speaker 13: they're living in a park. They're staying within their realm.
- 18:03Speaker 13: A lot of them say, I'm not homeless, I'm off
- 18:05Speaker 13: the grid. Okay, They're not going out causing a bunch
- 18:09Speaker 13: of commotion in the neighborhood and breaking in people's homes.
- 18:13Speaker 13: Squatters typically right away know the rights right away. They
- 18:17Speaker 13: have attorneys, they have jobs. A lot of them work
- 18:19Speaker 13: for homes so they never have to leave the house.
- 18:21Speaker 13: They are your next door neighbor. I have had neighbors
- 18:25Speaker 13: that stand up for these people, and until I really
- 18:28Speaker 13: educate them, they they think that the squatters are the
- 18:32Speaker 13: victims because they want everyone to believe. And it's easy
- 18:35Speaker 13: to get to convince someone that a landlord is bad.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Okay, it's very easy to convince someone that.
- 18:41Speaker 13: So you know, squatters typically are you know, they they're entitled,
- 18:48Speaker 13: they're narcissistic, sociopaths. They they I have sat I have
- 18:52Speaker 13: a video on YouTube, okay, Squatter hunters on YouTube with
- 18:58Speaker 13: Adam Fleischman, who was the founder of Umami Burger originally,
- 19:02Speaker 13: and he was squatting in Hollywood Hills with an elderly
- 19:05Speaker 13: woman and he answered an ad for a room for rent,
- 19:08Speaker 13: and he went in with a backpack and hung his
- 19:10Speaker 13: clothes up and refused to leave. Okay, and reasonable doubt
- 19:15Speaker 13: law enforcement shows up.
- 19:16Speaker 11: Right.
- 19:16Speaker 13: I got this gentleman to talk to me for two hours.
- 19:20Speaker 13: And if you can get somebody, a narcissistic, entitled person
- 19:24Speaker 13: to talk, they just rambling. And I got him to
- 19:28Speaker 13: talk for two hours, and it's amazing how he justified everything.
- 19:33Speaker 13: And people actually watching it are like, oh, I actually
- 19:36Speaker 13: kind of felt sorry for him, because he can convince you.
- 19:40Speaker 13: They are master manipulators. They will convince you that they
- 19:44Speaker 13: have a right to do it. And the truth is
- 19:46Speaker 13: our system is messed up.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So the truth is they do Yeah, I mean we
- 19:51Speaker 1: still have.
- 19:52Speaker 3: A system that prevents it.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You describe what they have in New York. Yeah, it's
- 19:56Speaker 1: totally enabled.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 19:58Speaker 1: The fact that you said, as a homeowner, you can't
- 20:00Speaker 1: you can't even say twice you need to leave without
- 20:03Speaker 1: that being quote harassment.
- 20:05Speaker 13: Now, now I've had I've had homeowners go to court
- 20:11Speaker 13: a few times because I told them, and they've won
- 20:15Speaker 13: because I have a video that tells people how you
- 20:17Speaker 13: can turn off utilities. The law says you can't turn
- 20:21Speaker 13: it off. Okay, but what the law can't force you
- 20:26Speaker 13: to do is be able to afford them. So if
- 20:28Speaker 13: it is a financial burden on you and the utility
- 20:31Speaker 13: company turns it off, it's completely legal.
- 20:34Speaker 1: But you would have to prove it's a financial burden.
- 20:36Speaker 13: No, no, it I mean to me, it's a financial
- 20:39Speaker 13: burden all the time.
- 20:41Speaker 4: You know, I need to keep it on.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Who wants to.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Pay that thousand bucks? Who wants to pay that they're
- 20:46Speaker 3: running the air conditioning every day all day long.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 20:49Speaker 13: That's a burden to me. I'd rather spend that money
- 20:51Speaker 13: on Starbucks or something else.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Right, So, how do people like when it comes to
- 20:55Speaker 1: the show. Let's talk about the show for a second.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So squatters on an e and on demand? Like, how
- 21:01Speaker 1: how do you get involved? As cat is? Like, these
- 21:04Speaker 1: people obviously they call you, they got you know, uh
- 21:07Speaker 1: something on online. You were doing a bunch of interviews.
- 21:10Speaker 1: They reach out to you. Uh, now you have the show.
- 21:12Speaker 1: So I'm imagining it's even crazier. There's probably people hitting
- 21:15Speaker 1: me up all the time. How how do you decide
- 21:18Speaker 1: which ones you go and do?
- 21:21Speaker 11: So?
- 21:21Speaker 13: You know, I have a setup to where people can
- 21:23Speaker 13: anonymously send information through the website, sending a request to
- 21:28Speaker 13: consultation at squadhunters dot com. Okay, And it can be anonymous,
- 21:33Speaker 13: it can be a neighbor, it could be somebody just
- 21:36Speaker 13: to get me to look into the situation. I go
- 21:39Speaker 13: into every case neutral because I want to know both
- 21:42Speaker 13: sides of the of the story. I want to talk
- 21:44Speaker 13: to the tenants, get their you know, the squatter's tenants.
- 21:47Speaker 13: But at this point, I've got Sheriff's department, I've got DA's,
- 21:51Speaker 13: I've got you know, uh politicians, I've got you know,
- 21:55Speaker 13: people that are all referring these cases. Yeah, okay, So
- 21:59Speaker 13: now days it's a lot easier for me to go
- 22:01Speaker 13: in neutral because it isn't doesn't always have to be
- 22:05Speaker 13: the homeowner. Okay, And you know I want to I
- 22:08Speaker 13: want to go in completely normal. And if you I
- 22:12Speaker 13: mean not normal, I'm sorry. I want to go in
- 22:14Speaker 13: completely like neutral, and and I want to know what
- 22:18Speaker 13: the truth is. I have had landlords lie to me, okay,
- 22:22Speaker 13: and they just want to get out this tenant and
- 22:26Speaker 13: I will be coming out. I've got a series YouTube
- 22:29Speaker 13: that I'm going to be coming out with because I've
- 22:30Speaker 13: been compiling videos called Landlord's Gone Wrong because I want
- 22:34Speaker 13: to show that I will represent the truth sure, and
- 22:37Speaker 13: I will represent what's right. And I have represented tenants
- 22:41Speaker 13: as well as landlords, so I you know, but you know,
- 22:45Speaker 13: they have to prove to me, like first of all,
- 22:48Speaker 13: like there should be some sort of interaction that they
- 22:50Speaker 13: can prove text messages or whatever. They can prove ownership,
- 22:55Speaker 13: you know, if they're actually the owner or you know,
- 22:57Speaker 13: so there's certain things that I ask of them to
- 23:00Speaker 13: be able to prove that the situation I'm getting into
- 23:04Speaker 13: is legit. The other thing that I do to protect
- 23:06Speaker 13: myself is I have a zero phone call policy. Okay,
- 23:11Speaker 13: I will not I don't talk to anyone on the phone.
- 23:13Speaker 3: So if they if they google or they get a
- 23:17Speaker 3: phone number and they whatever, it's not mine.
- 23:19Speaker 13: Okay, So I don't talk to anyone on the phone
- 23:22Speaker 13: because talking on the phone, first of all, if I
- 23:25Speaker 13: was taking in all of the requests in the phone,
- 23:27Speaker 13: that's my whole day, I don't even be able to
- 23:28Speaker 13: do anything. So and it creates a liability so since
- 23:32Speaker 13: you cannot talk to me on the phone about it,
- 23:35Speaker 13: you also can't say that I told you gave you
- 23:38Speaker 13: some bad advice that caused you to kill your squad
- 23:40Speaker 13: right now.
- 23:41Speaker 3: And I'm up for like some sort of.
- 23:44Speaker 13: So everything has to be in writing, and every single
- 23:48Speaker 13: case I do a zoom and I want them. So
- 23:53Speaker 13: for TV, anything we do TV is free. And I
- 23:57Speaker 13: did nine months eight nine months of this was free.
- 24:01Speaker 13: I covered everything. I can't do that anymore, but a
- 24:04Speaker 13: lot of them. But so there are fees involved, but
- 24:08Speaker 13: I do raise money like my consultations, that's a donation
- 24:12Speaker 13: that they give and that money goes towards offsetting fees
- 24:15Speaker 13: for victims that are in need of financial help. I
- 24:19Speaker 13: sell hats on the get Out hats and that money,
- 24:23Speaker 13: that money goes out sold to help the victims as well.
- 24:27Speaker 13: And so I'm planning on doing other merchandising because in
- 24:30Speaker 13: other ways of donating, because you know, there are a
- 24:34Speaker 13: lot of times where both you know, you got homeowners
- 24:38Speaker 13: that have already paid a bunch of money, they've been
- 24:41Speaker 13: doing it for a long time. They're on the virgil
- 24:43Speaker 13: losing their home. But then there are an occasional there's
- 24:47Speaker 13: an occasional situation that are running into a squatter that
- 24:50Speaker 13: is not there by choice. So I want to recognize.
- 24:53Speaker 13: You know, I was homeless when I was young. My
- 24:56Speaker 13: family was homeless, So I think that that brings an
- 24:59Speaker 13: empathy to where I can go in and I can
- 25:02Speaker 13: I can look at the situation realistically and I can
- 25:05Speaker 13: help whoever needs help. So I do try to help,
- 25:08Speaker 13: and you'll see on the show where I've helped people
- 25:11Speaker 13: that I found were not legitimate like squatters. They were
- 25:15Speaker 13: in a bad situation and got caught up in something,
- 25:19Speaker 13: and I want to be able to help those people
- 25:22Speaker 13: as well.
- 25:22Speaker 1: So do people get to you through the website or
- 25:26Speaker 1: through social media? What's the best way to do?
- 25:28Speaker 13: So, you know, the best way is to go to
- 25:30Speaker 13: squatter hunters dot com okay, and you can click you know,
- 25:33Speaker 13: get help. There's a link right smack in the middle
- 25:35Speaker 13: of the page, or just bypass that and go to
- 25:39Speaker 13: you know, email consultation at squatter hunt hunters dot com.
- 25:43Speaker 13: If you want to be considered directly without talking to
- 25:46Speaker 13: me first, to be considered for the show. For free help,
- 25:50Speaker 13: you can go to squatterstvshow dot com.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:53Speaker 1: So a bunch of different ways. Squatters on A and
- 25:56Speaker 1: E Tuesdays, then also on demand. Uh flash Shelton squatter hunter. Dude.
- 26:03Speaker 1: This is uh, this is something that is as much
- 26:06Speaker 1: need unfortunately because there's stories all the time. But thank
- 26:11Speaker 1: you so much for coming in. Appreciate you being here.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And I see you have a steer, Yes, sir, go stealers.
- 26:18Speaker 1: That's right, we have a we have a game on
- 26:20Speaker 1: Thursday night. That's yes. Okay, it's game time, buddy, shut up.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Minutes more what he shows next second? Yeah, get out,
- 26:32Speaker 1: get the hell out of my house. In Jesus name,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I pray you'll get in the day with the Lord.
