Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority Life with
• 0:04
Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler. Hi, guys, welcome to another
• 0:14
Speaker 2: episode of Dirty Rush. Today we are diving into one
• 0:18
Speaker 2: of the wildest and most unforgettable parts of Greek life.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: We're talking about date parties, from epic themes and chaotic
• 0:28
Speaker 2: nights to the awkward pairings and unexpected drama. We are
• 0:31
Speaker 2: breaking down the good, the bad, and everything in between.
• 0:34
Speaker 2: So we're going to have some callers on this episode.
• 0:38
Speaker 2: So now we are bringing in the lovely grace. So
• 0:42
Speaker 2: I'm thinking you were a sorority girl.
• 0:44
  Speaker 3: Yes, I was.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: Where did you go to school?
• 0:47
Speaker 4: I went to UCLA.
• 0:48
Speaker 2: So we are talking today about date parties, and we're
• 0:53
Speaker 2: just talking about kind of sometimes the chaos of them,
• 0:56
Speaker 2: the themes of them. You know, was there pressure if
• 0:59
Speaker 2: you didn't have a date, you know, trying to find
• 1:02
Speaker 2: one or getting asked to one. How are your experiences
• 1:06
  Speaker 2: with date parties?
• 1:07
Speaker 4: So I feel like in terms of finding a date,
• 1:09
Speaker 4: it was kind of well rounded, which I feel like
• 1:13
Speaker 4: isn't very normal at other schools, but at UCLA it
• 1:17
Speaker 4: was kind of like in the Beginning like freshman and
• 1:19
Speaker 4: sophomore year, you everybody was like fighting a date because
• 1:24
Speaker 4: everybody wanted to be taking like a cute frat boy
• 1:27
Speaker 4: that they just knew of or thought was cute or whatever.
• 1:32
Speaker 4: And then as time went on and you get older
• 1:36
Speaker 4: into like your junior and your senior year, everybody stops
• 1:39
Speaker 4: caring about like who to take because at UCLA Greek
• 1:43
Speaker 4: life is so small, So like by the time you
• 1:47
Speaker 4: reach your junior and senior year, you kind of already
• 1:50
Speaker 4: know everybody. But there is this one date party that
• 1:56
Speaker 4: is pretty crazy that I feel like is very you know,
• 2:00
Speaker 4: to UCLA, which is called Crush. But basically, you get
• 2:05
Speaker 4: to choose three dates that you want to invite, and
• 2:09
Speaker 4: you like list them from like one to three, of
• 2:12
Speaker 4: like one being you want to take them the most
• 2:14
Speaker 4: three is like the person you want to take the
• 2:16
Speaker 4: least out of your three options. And then this committee
• 2:21
Speaker 4: appointed by this alreaty called the Crush Committee, basically calls
• 2:25
Speaker 4: the list of guys and they go from number one
• 2:29
Speaker 4: down to number three, and they start with number one
• 2:31
Speaker 4: and they're like a girl as requested for you to
• 2:35
Speaker 4: be her date. She wants you to come to Crush
• 2:37
Speaker 4: do you accept and you have no idea who invited you?
• 2:41
Speaker 2: The guys don't know who have okay, So they don't
• 2:43
Speaker 2: know who asked them exactly.
• 2:45
Speaker 4: Okay, I have no idea who them.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: They just know that somebody asks, okay.
• 2:48
Speaker 4: And then every grade addresses to a different theme. So
• 2:52
Speaker 4: like like one year or theme was like goes under
• 2:57
Speaker 4: and so it was like one grade was under the sheet,
• 3:00
Speaker 4: so everybody were like pajamas. One grade was like under
• 3:03
Speaker 4: the sea, so everybody was like c themed and everybody
• 3:06
Speaker 4: had a different grade. So like when they call your date,
• 3:08
Speaker 4: they're like, all you get to know is the theme,
• 3:12
Speaker 4: So you get to know what grade of the person
• 3:15
  Speaker 4: that invited you.
• 3:16
  Speaker 5: That's it?
• 3:16
Speaker 2: Okay, And do they also dress to theme?
• 3:19
Speaker 3: Yes, so they have to.
• 3:21
Speaker 4: So basically, like all the girls all get ready together.
• 3:24
Speaker 4: Everybody's like so excited, and like everybody picks out really
• 3:29
Speaker 4: cute outfits and whatever, and we all take one bus
• 3:33
Speaker 4: and then all the guys have to meet at like
• 3:37
Speaker 4: a set location and they all have to take a
• 3:39
  Speaker 4: bus together.
• 3:40
Speaker 3: But like they don't know who invited them.
• 3:43
Speaker 4: All they know is like the theme of what they're
• 3:47
Speaker 4: dressing to. But they just get on this bus with
• 3:49
Speaker 4: a bunch of random guys going to a venue that
• 3:51
Speaker 4: they don't know to meet a bunch of girls and
• 3:54
Speaker 4: they have no idea who they're like technically going there
• 3:57
  Speaker 4: to meet.
• 3:57
Speaker 2: That actually sounds like so much much fun. I think
• 4:01
Speaker 2: that's hilarious. Yeah, what happens to the guys that get
• 4:04
Speaker 2: like like two girls had them on the list and
• 4:06
Speaker 2: one is a freshman and one is a sophomore, and
• 4:09
Speaker 2: they have to do under the sea and under the sheet? Like,
• 4:11
Speaker 2: how do you then just the guy get to choose?
• 4:14
Speaker 2: Is there a competitive like that?
• 4:17
Speaker 4: I think in that case it would probably go based
• 4:21
Speaker 4: off of like seniority, Like whoever is in the higher
• 4:25
Speaker 4: grade probably gets a priority of ranking. But I don't
• 4:28
Speaker 4: know how often that happens, but it does happen occasionally,
• 4:32
Speaker 4: where like the same guy gets invited by two girls
• 4:35
Speaker 4: in the same grade and then the girls don't really
• 4:39
Speaker 4: know which of their dates out of like the list
• 4:41
Speaker 4: of three get asked, so like both girls could have
• 4:45
Speaker 4: ranked a guy number one, and then he shows up
• 4:47
Speaker 4: and both girls are like I ranked him number one,
• 4:50
Speaker 4: Like I want to hang out with him.
• 4:51
Speaker 2: They all three get invited that you rank no.
• 4:54
Speaker 4: So basically your top pick gets invited, but like let's
• 4:58
Speaker 4: say you're top pick is already invited by somebody else,
• 5:03
Speaker 4: then your number two pick could get invited. But you
• 5:07
Speaker 4: could have the same number two pick because you chose
• 5:09
Speaker 4: like your guy best friend as like four other girls
• 5:12
Speaker 4: who also picked him because he.
• 5:14
Speaker 2: Was Oh my god, I'm getting such a any day. Yeah,
• 5:17
Speaker 2: like in a good way.
• 5:19
Speaker 4: It's crazy. It's literally crazy. So everybody's kind of like
• 5:22
Speaker 4: who's here for who? What's going on? And yeah, it's
• 5:26
  Speaker 4: a crazy concept.
• 5:28
Speaker 2: So do you ever tell the guy you were my
• 5:29
Speaker 2: first pick? You were my Like how does it? Does
• 5:31
Speaker 2: it ever sort of like come out? Is it? You
• 5:35
Speaker 2: keep it kind of wrapped?
• 5:37
Speaker 4: Or if you want to reveal it you can, or
• 5:40
Speaker 4: you could just go about everything saying nothing, like it's
• 5:43
Speaker 4: really up to you and then but it'll never come
• 5:46
Speaker 4: out if you don't want me to come out.
• 5:48
Speaker 2: So your friends don't even know, like you write it
• 5:50
Speaker 2: down unless you tell them.
• 5:52
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 5:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, most people will like tell each other or be
• 5:56
Speaker 4: like let's invite or like plot to like invite a
• 5:59
Speaker 4: certain group of guys. But like if you don't tell
• 6:02
Speaker 4: your friends, they wouldn't know either.
• 6:05
Speaker 2: I mean sounds actually sounds really fun. So you did this?
• 6:07
Speaker 2: This happens every year.
• 6:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, so you did this every year and it's like
• 6:11
Speaker 4: the most coveted event, like girls will literally pay dues
• 6:15
Speaker 4: senior year only like for the really going to crush.
• 6:21
Speaker 2: Yes, And did you ever either meet a guy there
• 6:24
Speaker 2: end up hanging out with a guy that you didn't
• 6:26
Speaker 2: expect to Was it a way for you to get
• 6:29
Speaker 2: to know guys that you kind of wanted to get
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: to know.
• 6:32
Speaker 4: One one time, when I was a freshman, there was
• 6:38
Speaker 4: this boy that I really really liked. We later on
• 6:43
Speaker 4: we started dating, actually, but before we were dating, we
• 6:46
Speaker 4: just really liked each other whatever, And so I invited
• 6:48
Speaker 4: him to crush and one of my older brother's best
• 6:54
Speaker 4: friends happened to also go to UCLA at the same
• 6:58
Speaker 4: time and get invited to rush. And I was a freshman,
• 7:02
Speaker 4: Like I was like, I wouldn't do this now, but
• 7:06
Speaker 4: at the time, I had like started making out with
• 7:11
Speaker 4: my the guy that I liked at the venue, and
• 7:15
Speaker 4: it happened to be right in front of my older
• 7:17
Speaker 4: brother's best friend and my older brother's best friend like
• 7:20
Speaker 4: texts my brother and he's like, what is going on?
• 7:23
  Speaker 3: This is horrible?
• 7:24
Speaker 4: Like why my route for this even mortified.
• 7:28
Speaker 2: Oh my god, that is hilarious. I have to say
• 7:32
Speaker 2: the whole thing, and I really shouldn't feel this way.
• 7:34
Speaker 2: It's and appropriate. Makes you want to go back in
• 7:36
Speaker 2: time to UCLA and a crush party. So don't tell
• 7:40
Speaker 2: my husband, but I love it. It sounds like it was
• 7:42
  Speaker 2: so much fun.
• 7:43
Speaker 3: It was. It was really fun.
• 7:44
Speaker 2: Thanks Grace. This is my offspring, Rachie. So my girl
• 8:03
Speaker 2: was in a sorority at the University of Delaware. I
• 8:07
Speaker 2: don't know if you want to share the sorority, rachel.
• 8:10
Speaker 5: I don't mind. I was in alphathy at the University
• 8:13
  Speaker 5: of Delaware.
• 8:13
Speaker 2: You were, and so you had a pretty good experience
• 8:16
Speaker 2: as a sorority girl at Delaware.
• 8:19
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 8:19
  Speaker 5: I loved it.
• 8:20
Speaker 2: This episode, we are talking about date parties, and I
• 8:26
Speaker 2: know you had quite a few of those.
• 8:29
Speaker 5: Yes, every like three months.
• 8:31
Speaker 2: And I just just so I kind of know, but
• 8:34
Speaker 2: like you had to What is a date party exactly?
• 8:39
Speaker 6: It's basically they call it like formals or they call
• 8:43
Speaker 6: it crush and you pick a date. Everyone puts their
• 8:47
Speaker 6: name on a date doc and you have to have
• 8:50
Speaker 6: a certain amount of points in your sorority to be
• 8:52
Speaker 6: able to go. So if you're not going to like
• 8:55
Speaker 6: all the chapters, all all the events and stuff, you
• 8:59
Speaker 6: won't be able to go.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: Really yeah, and is it that big of a deal.
• 9:02
Speaker 2: They that much fun?
• 9:03
Speaker 5: They're fun. It's like some are better than others.
• 9:06
Speaker 1: I personally liked, like frat formals better than sorority formals.
• 9:10
Speaker 2: Okay, so but date parties? Was it hard to find
• 9:13
  Speaker 2: a date?
• 9:15
Speaker 1: Sometimes a lot of people would just bring like girls
• 9:18
  Speaker 1: from another sorority.
• 9:19
Speaker 5: I also realized you could go alone. Oh you could, Yeah,
• 9:24
Speaker 5: you could definitely go alone.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: You weren't You aren't a loser if you went alone.
• 9:28
Speaker 5: Was this more fun for me? I think when you
• 9:31
Speaker 5: brought a guy that you were interested in.
• 9:33
  Speaker 1: Really, yeah, it's just like I don't know, you're bringing
• 9:36
Speaker 1: them to your date party. Everyone else has their dates.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: You'll like get together before drink, the bus ride, and
• 9:43
Speaker 1: then I feel like it also was a lot of like, Okay,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: he brought me to my frat formal to his frat formal,
• 9:50
Speaker 1: so I'm going to bring him to mind.
• 9:51
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I remember that, Like you had like kind
• 9:54
  Speaker 2: of an obligation.
• 9:56
  Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: I don't know why, but I just remember before them
• 9:59
Speaker 2: for you, it was like, oh, well, for me, it
• 10:02
Speaker 2: was always torture who to bring, Like he brought me
• 10:06
Speaker 2: to his, but I really don't want to bring him
• 10:08
Speaker 2: to mine. It was like all these politics or you
• 10:11
Speaker 2: would get invited to a couple of them or something
• 10:13
Speaker 2: and you didn't know which.
• 10:14
Speaker 5: That would always happen when sometimes they would bring me
• 10:17
Speaker 5: that there's something I don't want to bring me to mine.
• 10:19
Speaker 2: Really just get all this good problem to have, I suppose.
• 10:23
Speaker 1: And then sometimes there were like themes for the date nights,
• 10:26
Speaker 1: which a lot of the times there were off campus
• 10:28
Speaker 1: date nights. They're called like off campus mixers, so it
• 10:31
Speaker 1: would be like two frats and two sororities, and then
• 10:34
Speaker 1: there'd be a theme, so you didn't have to bring
• 10:37
Speaker 1: date to those. It was just kind of like an
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: off campus party.
• 10:43
Speaker 5: One of the themes I remember though, we had like
• 10:45
  Speaker 5: Y two K, so.
• 10:46
Speaker 2: Like you dress up for them. A lot of the
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: date parties Like.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, I liked the off campus ones because they were
• 10:51
Speaker 1: just they were more fun by less rules.
• 10:54
Speaker 2: So do you have any like crazy stories from any
• 10:56
Speaker 2: of them, like on the bus or anything that happened.
• 11:00
Speaker 5: Well, one time I brought a lunatic date just got
• 11:05
Speaker 5: was so drunk the whole time.
• 11:06
Speaker 1: It's also a thing like if you bring a date
• 11:08
Speaker 1: and they get wasted, then you can get a jaboard.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: So like, let's say I brought someone and they like
• 11:15
Speaker 1: made a flo out of themselves, then I get in trouble.
• 11:17
Speaker 2: So a jboard is when you get like disciplinary action
• 11:21
  Speaker 2: or something.
• 11:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I feel like I always loved the before
• 11:24
Speaker 1: and after the day parties. Like actually being at the
• 11:27
Speaker 1: day party was kind of just like you were drinking
• 11:30
Speaker 1: before and then you've just sit on a bus for
• 11:32
Speaker 1: like an hour and a half because we usually go
• 11:34
Speaker 1: to Philly and you have to pee, you're like drunk.
• 11:37
Speaker 1: It's just kind of annoying. And then you get there
• 11:39
Speaker 1: and goes by in like five seconds. But you go
• 11:42
Speaker 1: back and it's like a whole postgame situation. I always
• 11:44
Speaker 1: loved that, especially being in the BABS.
• 11:47
Speaker 5: We call it the face. What's the fous Alpha fi House?
• 11:50
Speaker 2: Oh wait, so hold on, So you bring this guy
• 11:52
Speaker 2: and he's wait, he gets wasted. He's a lunatic. What
• 11:54
  Speaker 2: do you do?
• 11:56
Speaker 5: He's yeah, he just got like really wasted. It's just
• 11:59
Speaker 5: kind of making full of himself.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Actually, I didn't get in trouble when he was there,
• 12:03
Speaker 1: but then I brought him. We all usually bring our
• 12:05
Speaker 1: dates back to the Fouls after just to like hang out.
• 12:09
Speaker 1: And I brought him back and he and we had
• 12:13
Speaker 1: a ring like a ring camera, and he ended up
• 12:15
Speaker 1: going on the porch and peeing off the porch and
• 12:19
Speaker 1: I got a jboard. They're like, your date was peeing
• 12:22
Speaker 1: off the porch at three A.
• 12:23
Speaker 2: We see somebody you were interested in before. Was he
• 12:25
  Speaker 2: just a friend?
• 12:27
Speaker 5: He was just like a friend.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, sometimes it was better bringing a friend because
• 12:32
Speaker 1: you were like, Okay, I don't need to have that pressure.
• 12:36
Speaker 2: Did you ever feel pressure when you would bring dates
• 12:39
Speaker 2: that weren't your boyfriend?
• 12:40
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 12:41
Speaker 1: Probably just that they would have fun get along with
• 12:44
Speaker 1: that brought some bad.
• 12:46
Speaker 2: Dates he did, what do you mean.
• 12:50
Speaker 5: Picky boys? Soles? Maybe if I went back, I would
• 12:54
  Speaker 5: bring a girlfriend.
• 12:56
Speaker 2: So you're there and everybody's drinking and people because I'm
• 13:01
Speaker 2: just I'm trying to remember. I kind of do like
• 13:03
Speaker 2: I don't remember a lot of nights where you come
• 13:06
Speaker 2: the next day. You were like thrilled after a date party,
• 13:09
Speaker 2: whether or not he was it, or you kind of
• 13:10
Speaker 2: like someone else and your date would get mad at
• 13:12
Speaker 2: you or there was always like something I feel like
• 13:16
  Speaker 2: with them.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: I was also annoying because if you weren't twenty one
• 13:19
Speaker 1: at these day parties, like you couldn't drink there. So
• 13:22
Speaker 1: it was I thought when we turned twenty one, it
• 13:24
Speaker 1: was more fun because we'd be able to.
• 13:25
Speaker 5: Be at the bar and stuff. Right, But yeah, I
• 13:29
Speaker 5: don't know. They were never like my favorite.
• 13:31
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 13:32
Speaker 5: I always feel like something always ended up happening to
• 13:35
Speaker 5: You're right, like there was just like drama, right. Yeah.
• 13:38
Speaker 5: I also do you remember when I told you the story?
• 13:41
Speaker 1: I we had a date night and afterwards we were
• 13:44
Speaker 1: all on the bus and I like dropped my.
• 13:46
Speaker 5: Phone and I just like walked off the bus. Yes,
• 13:49
Speaker 5: And it was like two weeks before school ended. Yes,
• 13:54
  Speaker 5: And I knew I.
• 13:56
Speaker 1: Dropped my phone like it was it was all on
• 13:58
Speaker 1: the floor. I just I guess I walked out about it.
• 14:00
Speaker 1: Where you waste it today? I mean probably?
• 14:04
Speaker 2: All right, Rachel, you are the love of my life,
• 14:07
Speaker 2: and now we say goodbye. All right, guys, now we're
• 14:26
Speaker 2: bringing in Michelle. So Michelle, you may already know, but
• 14:30
Speaker 2: we are talking about date parties. And so you were
• 14:34
  Speaker 2: in a sorority.
• 14:35
Speaker 3: I was a Sigma capa got it.
• 14:38
Speaker 2: And I'm assuming that you guys had date parties there.
• 14:41
Speaker 2: I mean, you know, Greek life is pretty big.
• 14:43
Speaker 3: Yes, it is super big, and it's been growing too.
• 14:46
Speaker 3: They add like a new sorority every few years.
• 14:49
Speaker 2: Really, wow, about how many girls in your sorority just
• 14:52
  Speaker 2: had of curiosity?
• 14:53
Speaker 3: Around three hundred? So are PC's in the beginning, we're
• 14:56
Speaker 3: like ninety people each.
• 14:58
Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah that's a lot. All right. Yeah, so I
• 15:03
Speaker 2: want you to tell me a little bit about what
• 15:05
Speaker 2: date parties were like there.
• 15:07
Speaker 3: So date parties are very frequent. They have been every
• 15:12
Speaker 3: single weekend, and there's always a mix of different frats
• 15:15
Speaker 3: and sororities. People have kind of their brother frats that
• 15:19
Speaker 3: they do a ton of events with and then there's
• 15:21
Speaker 3: some random mixes, but they're always super fun. They get
• 15:25
Speaker 3: some crazy DJs and rent some venues. And the themes
• 15:29
Speaker 3: are honestly my favorite part.
• 15:31
Speaker 2: Why why is that there's just.
• 15:32
Speaker 3: Such funny themes and some will have like the same
• 15:36
Speaker 3: theme every year, so everyone is anticipating it and excited.
• 15:40
Speaker 2: What was your favorite?
• 15:41
Speaker 3: I love the Kentucky Derby theme.
• 15:44
Speaker 2: Oh that's so fun.
• 15:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, that was always a really fun one.
• 15:51
Speaker 2: I love that. So you said you had them.
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 15:54
Speaker 2: I'm think in all schools don't work like this, but
• 15:56
Speaker 2: you have them every weekend, so where you had to
• 15:59
Speaker 2: have a date, you always were either getting invited or
• 16:04
Speaker 2: inviting someone to yours.
• 16:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, so there's always one happening every weekend. Not my
• 16:11
Speaker 3: sorority having one every weekend, but there's always something.
• 16:14
Speaker 2: Oh got it? Okay? And did the girls ever invite
• 16:17
Speaker 2: like friends from other sororities.
• 16:19
Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, that happened all the time. I definitely did
• 16:21
Speaker 3: that a few times.
• 16:22
Speaker 2: You did, because I feel like it'd be kind of
• 16:24
Speaker 2: like pressure if you don't have a boyfriends, like find
• 16:26
Speaker 2: a date every weekend?
• 16:28
Speaker 3: Right, And honestly, sometimes it's more fun if you bring
• 16:31
Speaker 3: a friend yeah than a boy right.
• 16:33
Speaker 2: I have heard that. Do you have any crazy stories
• 16:35
Speaker 2: from any of the parties?
• 16:36
Speaker 3: Well, honestly, now that Kentucky Derby's on my mind, there
• 16:41
Speaker 3: was this one time when this frat called Lambda did
• 16:46
Speaker 3: the Kentucky Derby party and they partnered with Sigath, which
• 16:49
Speaker 3: they usually don't do. It's usually a solo date party,
• 16:53
Speaker 3: but in this instance they partnered together and the boys
• 16:58
Speaker 3: made all of the freshmen where Potato sacks and do
• 17:02
Speaker 3: a race as if they were horses, and they bet
• 17:04
Speaker 3: on them and everything, and the decor was crazy. All
• 17:08
Speaker 3: of the floor was.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: Hey, well, I'm thinking they didn't want you have potato
• 17:11
Speaker 2: sacks the whole time.
• 17:13
Speaker 3: No, yeah, just for the race, Okay, for the race, Okay,
• 17:17
Speaker 3: but at the end there was a fight about who
• 17:19
Speaker 3: won and who crossed the finish line first, and so
• 17:23
Speaker 3: they started physically fighting and it was the craziest thing ever.
• 17:26
Speaker 2: Okay, that's what happens when you mix prap boys and
• 17:29
  Speaker 2: too much alcohol.
• 17:30
Speaker 3: I'm thinking absolutely. And then the rest of the party
• 17:32
Speaker 3: there was like a side for each fraternity and it
• 17:34
  Speaker 3: was so funny.
• 17:35
Speaker 2: Oh my god. Okay, so that sounds sort of fun
• 17:39
  Speaker 2: also crazy.
• 17:40
  Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely.
• 17:42
Speaker 2: Did you ever like meet a boy at one of
• 17:44
Speaker 2: these parties and start dating or like somebody else's date.
• 17:47
Speaker 3: Yeah. I definitely met a few boys at the date parties,
• 17:51
Speaker 3: but nothing that really lasted.
• 17:53
Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, So, but was it it was did you
• 17:56
Speaker 2: sometimes feel the pressure of finding someone for them?
• 18:00
  Speaker 5: Was it more?
• 18:01
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 18:01
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 18:02
Speaker 3: I was in a friend group of like eight girls,
• 18:05
Speaker 3: and so if they were bringing boys, like if the
• 18:07
Speaker 3: majority was bringing boys, then we would all find boys
• 18:10
Speaker 3: to go, but sometimes we would just make it like
• 18:13
Speaker 3: a girl's night and that would be super fun too.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: But yeah, there's definitely pressure if your friends are also
• 18:17
  Speaker 3: bringing boy dates.
• 18:18
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I remember that with my daughter, you know,
• 18:21
Speaker 2: having to sort of like figure out who and I
• 18:23
Speaker 2: don't know because now I'm, you know, an old mother type,
• 18:27
Speaker 2: and so I always feel like, what if you can't
• 18:29
  Speaker 2: find a date?
• 18:30
Speaker 5: That must be all.
• 18:32
Speaker 3: You know, it's so stressful for no reason because at
• 18:35
Speaker 3: the end of the day, your sorority is there or
• 18:37
Speaker 3: like you know people there anyways, and it ends up
• 18:40
  Speaker 3: being fun.
• 18:40
  Speaker 5: Good.
• 18:41
Speaker 2: I love that. Okay, well, I really appreciate your joining us, Michelle. Listen,
• 18:46
Speaker 2: you guys, there are so many callers that want to
• 18:49
Speaker 2: talk to us about date parties, so it's just like,
• 18:53
Speaker 2: put a pin in it. We'll do another episode. Who
• 18:56
Speaker 2: knew that day parties were so exciting and so salacious,
• 19:00
