  Speaker 1: had like a really cold beginning of September here. And

  Speaker 1: was like not mentally ready for fall just yet. And

  Speaker 1: was hoping that we'd have a bit of a longer summer.

  Speaker 1: So yeah, I feel like it just threw me all off.

  Speaker 1: And then I was like, I don't want fall just yet.

  Speaker 1: Like don't give me fall yet. It's so true.

  Speaker 2: I feel like September, like the beginning of September was

  Speaker 2: giving like beginning of October weather.

  Speaker 2: It was almost like too fast of a transition of

  Speaker 2: like super hot to cold weather where it feel like

  Speaker 2: usually September is kind of like a little bit of

  Speaker 2: Where it like is like the perfect transition into fall,

  Speaker 2: But this year I feel like it's the reverse. Like

  Speaker 2: now it's been really warm this week specifically, which is

  Speaker 1: So it's like, okay. It feels like summer again. And

  Speaker 1: it's just, I'm like, what? We were tanning last weekend

  Speaker 1: and we're like, what? What season is it? Like we're

  Speaker 1: super confused.

  Speaker 2: But I personally feel like I'm like more in it now,

  Speaker 2: like going into the fall.

  Speaker 2: I kind of mentioned on the podcast that it's been

  Speaker 2: definitely weird this year just because like I'm not in

  Speaker 2: my house decorating for fall.

  Speaker 2: Or like decorating my front porch. Like Madison's bedroom is

  Speaker 2: like fully decorated for fall. It's so cute. She did

  Speaker 2: such a good job and we'll share some of the

  Speaker 2: things she did in her bedroom. But I just like,

  Speaker 2: I'm itching for that because I think that's what makes

  Speaker 2: me feel like when it's fall. But we also did

  Speaker 2: go apple picking this past weekend, which was so fun.

  Speaker 1: And very fall. Yeah. Like such a fall activity to do. Yeah, 100%.

  Speaker 2: It's the best to do like in the last few
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: weeks of September if you ever go apple picking. I

  Speaker 2: think it might be open this weekend too, but usually

  Speaker 2: by like beginning of October, it's then pumpkin time. picking,

  Speaker 2: like if you want to go to a pumpkin patch,

  Speaker 2: but it was so fun. It was such a fun

  Speaker 2: fall activity to do with your girlfriends.

  Speaker 1: went was like, we always go to the same place,

  Speaker 1: but the area we normally would go, it was closed off.

  Speaker 1: I'd say it was like so cute. Like it was

  Speaker 1: so like very fall, like Super cute. It was kind

  Speaker 1: of giving like something from Connecticut. Like we were talking

  Speaker 1: about how it didn't feel like Ottawa. We're like, why

  Speaker 1: do we not feel like we're in Ottawa right now?

  Speaker 2: Like it was just like the perfect fall aesthetic or

  Speaker 2: honestly something from like Vermont. Like it just was really,

  Speaker 2: really cozy and comforting. And like, again, just like diving

  Speaker 2: into those fall activities makes you feel so much more

  Speaker 2: like in the mindset for fall and gets you actually

  Speaker 2: excited for a season when you're actually doing fun things.

  Speaker 2: got all these apples, we're having a cute little fall

  Speaker 2: night with our friend Lori and we're doing like apple

  Speaker 2: crumble or like some type of apple dessert with all

  Speaker 2: the apples that we picked from the apple farm.

  Speaker 1: No, I think this weekend was when I was really like, okay,

  Speaker 1: I'm ready for fall. Yeah, yeah, 100%.

  Speaker 2: we purchased this past month. Okay, let's start off. with

  Speaker 2: some clothing pieces it kind of is all over the

  Speaker 2: map here we don't really have like specific categories we

  Speaker 2: kind of just like threw together a random list but

  Speaker 2: one thing that madison and i both agreed on that

  Speaker 2: we think is like super popular right now is anything

  Speaker 2: in the color navy plum kind of like a berry

  Speaker 2: beet color green or chocolate brown yeah i feel.

  Speaker 1: Like anything for like sweaters, accessories. Workout sets.

  Speaker 2: We just both got this navy mock neck sweater from

  Speaker 2: Aritzia that has like that funnel neck.

  Speaker 1: It's gorgeous. Yeah. And a navy workout set on top

  Speaker 1: of that and it's so, so nice. Yeah, I feel

  Speaker 1: like I've been loving the color navy a lot recently. Yeah.

  Speaker 1: just got the Navy sweater and now I'm like, I

  Speaker 2: You know what I find funny, though? I feel like

  Speaker 2: every fall season, there's, like, a new color that kind

  Speaker 2: of takes over. Like, I feel like last year, it

  Speaker 2: was burgundy. This year, I don't find– Yes, burgundy was

  Speaker 2: so big. Like, it's still popular, obviously, but I feel

  Speaker 2: like navy is, like, the one color that I feel

  Speaker 2: like is really popular or that, like, army green color.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, but I also feel like, too, with all these colors, it's, like,

  Speaker 1: each color is big in different ways. Like, I feel

  Speaker 1: like navy when it comes to clothing– is like really,

  Speaker 1: really big right now. Whereas like when we were talking

  Speaker 1: about like the color like plum or berry, like for example,

  Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of people do that nail color.

  Speaker 1: And even I actually got that nail color and I

  Speaker 1: was like inspired by so many people I saw on

  Speaker 1: like Instagram and TikTok.

  Speaker 2: I feel like just every season there's just going to

  Speaker 2: be a trending color and it's just going to like

  Speaker 2: take over the fashion industry specifically in like accessories or

  Speaker 2: like even through social media. Like Chocolate brown will always

  Speaker 2: be a staple in the fall, in my opinion.

  Speaker 1: I don't think that will ever go out. And, like,

  Speaker 1: obviously burgundy is still popular.

  Speaker 2: I just feel like burgundy, like, took over for clothing

  Speaker 2: last year, where I feel like this year everyone's, like,

  Speaker 2: going down more, like, the navy, dark green, and, like,

  Speaker 2: that plum color.

  Speaker 1: So, like, not, like, the red burgundy, but, like, the

  Speaker 1: plum beet color. Another fall must-have that I feel like

  Speaker 1: me and Kaylee both have been diving into, I guess

  Speaker 1: more so me because … I have my room all

  Speaker 1: set up and you're still waiting for your new house. Yeah.

  Speaker 1: But I feel like fall bedding and fall pillows, cozy

  Speaker 1: throw blankets. Like I really with my room this year

  Speaker 1: went like a whole new direction than I did last year.

  Speaker 1: I feel like last year was the first time I

  Speaker 1: really focused on decorating my room for fall. And I

  Speaker 1: liked what I did. Like I did like a chocolate

  Speaker 1: brown duvet and I feel like that's still in but

  Speaker 1: I kind of wanted to do something different this year

  Speaker 1: and as Kaylee mentioned for like fall clothing green I

  Speaker 1: feel like is really in this year especially when it
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: comes to like bedding and like pillows and just anything
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: I guess home decor wise um so I ended up
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: getting a bunch of green pillows And they look so good.

  Speaker 1: So good. Like I'm obsessed with it. And I never

  Speaker 1: like ever thought to dive into green for the fall.

  Speaker 1: Like yeah, it's obviously a fall color. But I don't know.

  Speaker 1: I guess I just always thought of like more burgundy

  Speaker 1: and browns. Like I never thought to make my room green.

  Speaker 1: But it actually looks really good. And then I got

  Speaker 1: like a green candle and like a green little pumpkin.

  Speaker 1: And I just feel like it looks so... put together

  Speaker 1: and so nice. And it's definitely giving fall. And I'm

  Speaker 1: like very happy with how it looks.

  Speaker 2: I think the best part about like the army green

  Speaker 2: color though, is that like, it's the perfect color for

  Speaker 2: a neutral room. So Madison has like a lot of white,

  Speaker 2: a lot of, she had like a lot of accents

  Speaker 2: of blue. So we were trying to remove like the
• 9:43
  Speaker 2: blue accents that was like more of like a coastal
• 9:46
  Speaker 2: feel and try and bring in fall tones. And sometimes

  Speaker 2: like dark brown, for an example, with white, I feel
• 9:51
  Speaker 2: like it's too harsh. It's like too aggressive. So it's
• 9:54
  Speaker 2: like we need to do a color that's more subtle.

  Speaker 2: So she could have done like beige or taupe, but
• 9:59
  Speaker 2: I feel like that's like, as you said, it's like

  Speaker 2: something that like you would typically do, but I feel

  Speaker 2: like the green was very different and still very fall.

  Speaker 1: Yeah. I also feel like too, cause I got a

  Speaker 1: bunch of green pillows and specifically I got these like

  Speaker 1: floral green pillows that I would say are more of

  Speaker 1: like a sage green than a deep green. And what

  Speaker 1: I love about them is that I feel like I

  Speaker 1: can use them all year round. And even if I

  Speaker 1: wanted to decorate it in a different way for maybe

  Speaker 1: summer next year and like tie in more brighter colors

  Speaker 1: color that I could kind of use all year round.

  Speaker 1: Like I plan to still use those pillows in the winter.

  Speaker 2: I feel like green is definitely like something that could

  Speaker 1: Instagram or on Pinterest, a girl style, a long cardigan.

  Speaker 1: And I showed it to Kaylee. I'm like, oh my God,

  Speaker 1: this is so, cute. Like I really want to get

  Speaker 1: a long cardigan for the fall season this year. And

  Speaker 1: Kaylee literally said to me like, oh my God, I

  Speaker 1: had this exact cardigan. Pretty sure I threw it away

  Speaker 1: because I thought I'm never going to wear this. It

  Speaker 1: was from Aritzia. And I almost thought about going in

  Speaker 1: our basement, going through our old clothes, trying to find it.

  Speaker 1: But that would have been a mission. I think it

  Speaker 2: And I'm so upset because it's like, This is why

  Speaker 1: to wear it again. It was cute too. Like why

  Speaker 2: midlife crisis at 25 and was like, Get rid of everything. Like, obviously, like,

  Speaker 2: But I've– honestly, I think as I've gotten older, I've

  Speaker 2: realized that it's, like, anything that I've spent a lot
