1:19
SPEAKER_09: The chemistry is still there.
1:23
SPEAKER_10: That's a little scary.
1:24
SPEAKER_10: All the music today you have uh chosen.
1:27
SPEAKER_10: But I I'm gonna start typically I start with the intro, but I'm gonna start with this because this is a song that you wrote.
1:35
SPEAKER_10: I wrote this.
1:36
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, it's a great song.
1:37
SPEAKER_10: We're gonna talk about it after the in the in the middle here coming up.
1:40
SPEAKER_10: That's good tune.
1:43
SPEAKER_05: Not two years of time since her husband ran.
1:49
SPEAKER_05: She dug in and decided this was God's plan.
1:54
SPEAKER_05: She worked on herself and made a new last.
1:59
SPEAKER_05: She had much more to offer.
2:02
SPEAKER_05: She was She focused her efforts, built up her careers, not known that love.
2:18
SPEAKER_05: She had all she was the force.
4:27
SPEAKER_05: They had all their easters, all the next stars, all the fire, the birds had too far, the last made a moment, bitter and sweet.
4:42
SPEAKER_05: So they took one more chance, just all their feet.
4:47
SPEAKER_05: Now they're the moments.
6:36
SPEAKER_01: WC is making it even hotter with some great tonnage.
6:40
SPEAKER_01: Uh uh, I mean tonnage.
6:41
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, Dave, didn't mean to bring you into this.
6:44
SPEAKER_01: Sit back, grab a cup of something, and crank it up.
6:48
SPEAKER_01: WC is on the air exclusively on KSJE.
7:19
SPEAKER_05: No matter what you do, and I hope you understand me.
7:29
SPEAKER_05: Every word I say is true.
7:39
SPEAKER_05: Baby, I'm thinking of you trying to be more of a man for you.
7:52
SPEAKER_05: Don't have much of a chair, but we gonna see you through because I love you.
10:32
SPEAKER_05: And I told him, I said, you know, I'm having problems with the woman that I love.
10:37
SPEAKER_05: It seems that I call her on the phone and I I just can't get her to answer.
10:43
SPEAKER_05: And then I went to her house and I saw a car parked in the driveway.
10:47
SPEAKER_05: I knocked on the door, but still my knocks went unanswered.
10:51
SPEAKER_05: And then I went home and uh I watched television until television went off.
10:56
SPEAKER_05: And then I played my records until I just didn't want to hear them anymore.
11:00
SPEAKER_05: And finally I went to bed, but I found myself waking up a few hours later, and the tears were running down my face.
11:10
SPEAKER_05: And my friend told me, he said, Lenny, you just ought to forget about it.
11:15
SPEAKER_05: But I told my friend, I said, you know, maybe you've never been in love like I've been in love.
11:21
SPEAKER_05: And maybe you've never felt the things that I felt.
11:24
SPEAKER_05: But this is what I told my friend, I said that you know, sometimes you get alone.
11:31
SPEAKER_05: You get alone, you get alone.
13:51
SPEAKER_10: So what what did you just say before I opened the microphone?
13:54
SPEAKER_10: What did I just say?
13:55
SPEAKER_10: Oh, listen to the music, not the y'all.
13:58
SPEAKER_10: Absolutely.
14:00
SPEAKER_10: Well, listen, I am so glad that you took the time to uh did this coming um I don't know.
14:06
SPEAKER_10: I love this.
14:07
SPEAKER_10: Oh, good.
14:09
SPEAKER_10: You know, it's funny because we had a conversation.
14:11
SPEAKER_10: Oh, by the way, who was that that we just heard about it?
14:13
SPEAKER_10: Oh, that was Lenny, Lenny Williams.
14:15
SPEAKER_09: Isn't that your favorite uh that that as far as I'm concerned, that is the greatest love song ever.
14:24
SPEAKER_10: You don't think of the one that you wrote.
14:28
SPEAKER_09: That's difficult because yeah, the first one we listened to, that was my song.
14:32
SPEAKER_09: I wrote that song.
14:33
SPEAKER_10: Let's get that out too, because I when you sent it to me, you said, Can we play this?
14:37
SPEAKER_10: I said, dude, I can play whatever I want as long as we don't have any cursors.
14:43
SPEAKER_10: So and I and man, I I don't know.
14:45
SPEAKER_10: I was like, you were excited.
14:47
SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
14:48
SPEAKER_10: Did you get really excited?
14:49
SPEAKER_09: I mean, I kind of did.
14:52
SPEAKER_09: So what I'm more excited about is I know this is a plays on KSG, obviously.
14:58
SPEAKER_09: Absolutely.
14:59
SPEAKER_09: And so I can now tell Jerry who that song is about.
15:06
SPEAKER_09: Me and Jerry.
15:07
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
15:08
SPEAKER_09: I can now tell Jerry's son, who had a very popular band in Denver, local band, uh, that my song played on the radio.
15:20
SPEAKER_09: Not only that, it's on a worldwide podcast.
15:24
SPEAKER_10: It is.
15:25
SPEAKER_09: We're worldwide.
15:26
SPEAKER_09: You are.
15:27
SPEAKER_09: I've looked, I've seen the countries that listen to your show.
15:31
SPEAKER_10: It's a bunch.
15:31
SPEAKER_10: It's a bunch.
15:33
SPEAKER_10: And you know, and Ren is in Japan.
15:35
SPEAKER_10: I don't know whether we talked about that or first break, but uh and so she it's one of her favorite places.
15:41
SPEAKER_10: She's even tried to learn Japanese.
15:43
SPEAKER_10: Really?
15:44
SPEAKER_10: Oh my god, yeah.
15:45
SPEAKER_10: And she sent me the coordinates where she's at and all that kind of stuff.
15:49
SPEAKER_10: It's really, I mean, so excited.
15:51
SPEAKER_09: And you said we're gonna try and get her on the air from Japan.
15:54
SPEAKER_09: Right.
15:55
SPEAKER_10: Hopefully, I'm gonna have her on next week.
15:57
SPEAKER_10: That's fingers across, we're gonna try to work out all the technical difficulties.
16:01
SPEAKER_10: And we had some this morning that typically I would have just had Randy handling.
16:06
SPEAKER_10: But you screwed things up over here.
16:09
SPEAKER_10: Because you're kind of a techno guy too, right?
16:12
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
16:13
SPEAKER_10: Anyway, we we turned everything off, turned everything back on, and it worked.
16:18
SPEAKER_09: So the oldest daughter of my my latest ex-wife, she's in the Air Force.
16:25
SPEAKER_09: She got stationed at Okinawa.
16:28
SPEAKER_09: And recently back almost 30 years ago.
16:35
SPEAKER_09: And so she would always say because she got stationed in Japan, she's like, rain is now in the future.
16:45
SPEAKER_09: Because it's tomorrow.
16:47
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, it's seven hours.
16:48
SPEAKER_10: There's seven hours ahead of us.
16:49
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, yeah.
16:50
SPEAKER_10: So we're working out the time when we're gonna record and that kind of stuff.
16:53
SPEAKER_10: I have to do it at four o'clock, she's gonna do it at five in the morning, that kind of thing.
16:58
SPEAKER_10: That kind of thing.
16:59
SPEAKER_11: You have to go through the time continuum.
17:03
SPEAKER_11: You know, she's really sweet.
17:05
SPEAKER_11: She's working around me.
17:07
SPEAKER_11: You know, and I said, No, you're the one over there.
17:09
SPEAKER_11: I don't want you to be getting up at two, three o'clock.
17:12
SPEAKER_11: She's like, Oh, we'll probably be up.
17:15
SPEAKER_10: But yes, her friend also is in the armed forces as well.
17:20
SPEAKER_10: And she's a really cool cool lady as well.
17:22
SPEAKER_10: Anyway, I'm so excited about that.
17:24
SPEAKER_10: But this show we're doing um and I and you know, I I I I've known I I've I know Jerry.
17:31
SPEAKER_10: She is such a sweetheart.
17:33
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
17:33
SPEAKER_10: And uh I love her too.
17:35
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
17:35
SPEAKER_10: Um and so this now I've got to know you even better because we spent almost three years recording uh male encounters together at a bar.
17:45
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
17:46
SPEAKER_10: And um now that I'm getting to know you even better, I've fallen in love with even Jerry even more.
17:52
SPEAKER_10: And you too, of course.
17:54
SPEAKER_10: But uh this is all pretty much this music I can tell is you picked for her.
17:59
SPEAKER_09: So, Jerry, this show's for you, baby.
18:02
SPEAKER_09: Sort of.
18:03
SPEAKER_09: There's one uh one personal pain song in there for me.
18:06
SPEAKER_09: Okay.
18:08
SPEAKER_09: But I know I did notice I didn't even pay attention at first at first, but uh they're all love songs.
18:13
SPEAKER_10: Well, uh the thing is this next one I'm playing, I'm sure this is how you went into this relationship with her.
18:18
SPEAKER_10: For sure.
18:18
SPEAKER_10: Okay, yeah.
18:19
SPEAKER_10: You know which one I'm talking about.
18:22
SPEAKER_03: Introduced me to your family, watched my favorite shows on your TV.
18:31
SPEAKER_03: Maybe breakfast in the morning when you got home from work, making plans to travel around the world.
18:44
SPEAKER_03: Said we'd always put each other first.
18:48
SPEAKER_03: Oh love songs we used to play too.
18:52
SPEAKER_03: Funny now I hate you.
18:59
SPEAKER_03: Remember when you call me bad.
19:03
SPEAKER_03: I give you my hours good advice, just try to fix you all your days.
19:09
SPEAKER_03: But now I don't even fit you anymore.
19:14
SPEAKER_03: Oh I die.
19:16
SPEAKER_03: I want all the days back that I cried all the hours that give good advice.
19:25
SPEAKER_03: Oh you did prove me wrong.
19:36
SPEAKER_03: Shoulda paid attention to my friends.
19:40
SPEAKER_03: Tell me how bad it's gonna end.
19:45
SPEAKER_03: Always giving the opinion.
19:49
SPEAKER_03: Now I wish I would have listed.
19:53
SPEAKER_03: I could say I'm sorry, but I'm not You don't deserve the one thing that you love.
20:09
SPEAKER_03: I give you my house dead if I just try to fix you.
20:49
SPEAKER_04: Oh, when you said you loved me when you must have had your fingers crossed.
20:57
SPEAKER_03: I want all the tears back that I cried.
21:01
SPEAKER_03: All the hours spent giving advice on how to write your songs.
21:05
SPEAKER_03: All you did was prove me wrong.
21:08
SPEAKER_03: Wish you said you loved me when you didn't have your fingers cross.
21:13
SPEAKER_05: One, two, three.
21:34
SPEAKER_05: Somebody save me from myself has been so long living in hair.
21:51
SPEAKER_05: They say my lifestyle is bad for my hell.
22:00
SPEAKER_05: It's the only thing that seems to help All of this drinking and smoking is hopeless, but feel like it's all that I need.
22:58
SPEAKER_05: Something inside of me's broken.
23:01
SPEAKER_05: I hold on to anything that sets me free.
23:06
SPEAKER_05: I'm a loss, cause baby, don't waste your time on me.
23:15
SPEAKER_05: I'm so damaged beyond repair.
23:19
SPEAKER_05: Life is shattered, my hopes and my dreams.
23:24
SPEAKER_05: I'm a lost cause.
23:28
SPEAKER_05: Baby, don't waste your time on me.
23:32
SPEAKER_05: I'm so damaged beyond repair.
23:37
SPEAKER_05: Life is shattered, my hopes and my dreams.
24:06
SPEAKER_05: There was no shooting stars to use wishing on you all of my sorrows.
24:19
SPEAKER_05: I just washed them down.
24:24
SPEAKER_05: It's the only peace I've ever found.
24:34
SPEAKER_05: All of this drinking and smoking is hopeless, but feel like it's all that I need.
24:42
SPEAKER_05: Something inside of me's broken.
24:45
SPEAKER_05: I hold on to anything that sets me free.
24:55
SPEAKER_05: Don't waste your time on me.
24:59
SPEAKER_05: I'm so damaged beyond repair.
25:03
SPEAKER_05: Life is shattered, my hopes and my dreams.

25:16
SPEAKER_05: I'm so damaged beyond repair.
25:21
SPEAKER_05: Life is shattered, my hopes and my dreams.
25:51
SPEAKER_10: That was beautiful.
25:52
SPEAKER_10: That was absolutely gorgeous.
25:53
SPEAKER_09: That song makes me cry.
25:55
SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
25:56
SPEAKER_09: That song mimics my life.
25:59
SPEAKER_09: It's jelly roll, weirdly enough.
26:02
SPEAKER_09: Jelly Roll.
26:03
SPEAKER_09: Makes me cry.
26:08
SPEAKER_10: I've had jelly.
26:09
SPEAKER_10: Good jelly.
26:10
SPEAKER_10: My mom made some good, but it never made me cry.
26:17
SPEAKER_10: Who knows?
26:19
SPEAKER_10: Alright, well listen, um, we gotta get to another song right now because the break's coming up.
26:23
SPEAKER_10: I got some more.
26:24
SPEAKER_10: This is some another one of yours.
26:25
SPEAKER_10: This one comes to us from Vincent Boone.
26:29
SPEAKER_10: Beautiful thing.
26:35
SPEAKER_07: Oh, father who is rough.
26:37
SPEAKER_07: But lately I've been doing better than the last four cold December.
26:48
SPEAKER_07: And I see my family every month.
26:51
SPEAKER_07: I found a girl my parents love.
26:55
SPEAKER_07: She'll come and stay the night, and I think I might have it all.
27:02
SPEAKER_07: And I thank God every day for the girl he sent my way.
27:09
SPEAKER_07: But I know the things he gives he can take away.
27:15
SPEAKER_07: And I hold you every night.
27:18
SPEAKER_07: And that's a feeling I wanna get used to.
27:24
SPEAKER_07: But there's no man as terrified.
27:27
SPEAKER_07: It's the man who stands to lose you.
27:35
SPEAKER_07: Oh I hope I don't lose you.
27:41
SPEAKER_07: Please stay.
27:45
SPEAKER_07: I want you, I need you, oh God.
27:48
SPEAKER_04: Don't take these beautiful things that I've got.
27:59
SPEAKER_04: I want you to hold God These beautiful things that I've got I found my mind on feeling the same.
28:24
SPEAKER_07: It's been a while, but I'm finding my face.
28:27
SPEAKER_07: If everything is good and it's great, why do I sit and wait till it's gone?
28:33
SPEAKER_07: Oh, I tell ya I know I've got enough.
28:37
SPEAKER_07: I've got things and I've got a love.
28:41
SPEAKER_07: But I'm up and I think I just might lose it all.
29:14
SPEAKER_07: I want you and need you, oh God.
29:17
SPEAKER_07: I need these beautiful things that I've got.
29:23
SPEAKER_00: And now for something completely different.
29:26
SPEAKER_00: The wake-up call on KSJE.
29:44
SPEAKER_16: Just when I saw my god and I fall in love with Tennessee.
29:52
SPEAKER_16: Should've known better than taking him back to Abilene.
30:01
SPEAKER_16: Put him right back in her arms.
30:05
SPEAKER_16: I wasn't a match for that kind of spark.
30:09
SPEAKER_16: She's from Texas, I can tell by the way.
30:13
SPEAKER_16: He's two stepping round the room.
30:17
SPEAKER_16: And judging by the smile that's dritten on his face.
30:22
SPEAKER_16: There's nothing I can do.
30:26
SPEAKER_16: It doesn't take a crystal ball to see.
30:35
SPEAKER_16: Drinking jack on by myself.
30:39
SPEAKER_16: He's choosing Texas, I can tell.
30:50
SPEAKER_16: Well, I guess he fur gun the smoky mountain rain.
30:59
SPEAKER_16: The old Huntington.
31:01
SPEAKER_16: The mountains blues leave us to shine.
31:08
SPEAKER_16: He always loved in the morning by morning.
31:12
SPEAKER_16: I shouldn't take in that middle morning.
31:16
SPEAKER_16: She's from Texas, I can tell by the way.
31:20
SPEAKER_16: He's too stepping round the room.
31:24
SPEAKER_16: Judging by the smile that's written on his face.
31:29
SPEAKER_16: There's nothing I can do.
31:41
SPEAKER_16: Drinking jack all by myself.
31:51
SPEAKER_16: When I'm spent on it, can I help?
31:55
SPEAKER_16: Is that forty smaller with every mile?
32:00
SPEAKER_16: I don't know that his mind wasn't never gonna change.
32:04
SPEAKER_16: Cause his heart still belongs to the lost ours day.
32:11
SPEAKER_16: She's from Texas, I can tell by the way.
32:16
SPEAKER_16: He's too stepping round the room.
32:20
SPEAKER_16: And judging by the smile that's written on his face.
32:25
SPEAKER_16: There's nothing I can do.
32:33
SPEAKER_16: A cowboy always finds a way to leave drinking jackal mama cell.
32:41
SPEAKER_16: He's choosing Texas, I can tell Drinking Jack on Ba must.
32:51
SPEAKER_16: I can tell.
32:54
SPEAKER_16: Come on, baby.
33:03
SPEAKER_16: Just when I fall like I'm a fall in love with Tennessee.
33:14
SPEAKER_10: Is that it, kid?
33:17
SPEAKER_10: Oh my god.
33:17
SPEAKER_10: Oh, wait, I didn't I don't think I there you're on now.
33:20
SPEAKER_10: Oh my god.
33:21
SPEAKER_10: I and uh what were you saying about her again?
33:23
SPEAKER_10: She's kinda she is kind of a one-trick pony, you're right.
33:26
SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
33:27
SPEAKER_09: So I really like that song right there was the first song I ever heard of Ellen.
33:35
SPEAKER_09: And I liked the cleverness of the wording in it, which is not uncommon for country music.
33:43
SPEAKER_09: It's kind of why I'm a fan of country music.
33:45
SPEAKER_10: She's a newer country artist.
33:46
SPEAKER_10: Newer.
33:48
SPEAKER_10: But she has a classic country voice.
33:50
SPEAKER_10: She does like she kind of reminds me a little bit of Junior Nettles.
33:55
SPEAKER_10: I don't know if you know who that is, but I just adore her.
33:59
SPEAKER_10: She has that kind of same kind of style.
34:03
SPEAKER_10: You know, I like the fact that it's it's not.
34:05
SPEAKER_10: And that Jelly Roll song was okay too.
34:08
SPEAKER_10: There's some new country that I just can keep.
34:11
SPEAKER_10: I I am I am more of a fan of the older big Hank Williams Jr.
34:17
SPEAKER_10: fan Hank Williams Williams.
34:20
SPEAKER_10: Oh no, and then uh Wayland Jennings, Willie Nelson, all of those guys.
34:24
SPEAKER_10: And the funny thing about Willie Nelson, and you may not know this, but I defy you to find because I loved a two-step song.
34:30
SPEAKER_10: And and country music is that was a perfect two-step song.
34:33
SPEAKER_10: Or wall.
34:34
SPEAKER_10: All of that.
34:35
SPEAKER_10: Um that wasn't a wall song, but I mean it was.
34:38
SPEAKER_10: No, no, no, no.
34:39
SPEAKER_10: That was a two-step song.
34:41
SPEAKER_10: No, that isn't two-step.
34:43
SPEAKER_09: I love Waltes.
34:44
SPEAKER_10: That's the only song I'll dance to is a wall side.
34:47
SPEAKER_10: Um, but I defy you to find a Willie Nelson song that you can kind of two-step comfortably to.
34:53
SPEAKER_10: Interesting.
34:54
SPEAKER_10: He does not.
34:55
SPEAKER_10: He is he is the oddball mix.

SPEAKER_10: I haven't heard of them either.
37:46

37:50
SPEAKER_10: Right?
37:50
SPEAKER_10: You know, of course.
37:53
SPEAKER_10: That's not what this one is.

SPEAKER_13: I just want to strip.
42:03
SPEAKER_01: Whoever said you can't have your cake and eat it too has never listened to WUC exclusively on KSJE.
42:17
SPEAKER_13: I was distracted and in traffic.
42:21
SPEAKER_13: I didn't feel it when the earthquake happened, but it really got me thinking.
42:26
SPEAKER_13: Were you out drinking?
42:27
SPEAKER_13: Were you in the living room, chilling, watching television?
42:31
SPEAKER_13: It's been a year now.
42:32
SPEAKER_13: Think I figured out how to let you go and let communication die how I know you know, we know you weren't down for forever, and it's fine.
42:44
SPEAKER_13: I know you know, we know we weren't meant for each other, and it's fine.
42:50
SPEAKER_13: But if the world was ending, you come overright.
42:54
SPEAKER_13: You come over and you'd stay the night.
42:57
SPEAKER_13: Would you love me for that of it?
43:00
SPEAKER_13: All I fears would be irrelevant.
43:03
SPEAKER_13: If the world was ending, you come overright.
43:06
SPEAKER_13: The sky be falling while I hold you tight.
43:10
SPEAKER_13: No, there wouldn't be a reason why.
43:13
SPEAKER_13: We would even have to say goodbye.
43:16
SPEAKER_13: If the world was ending, you come overright.
43:20
SPEAKER_13: Right.
43:22
SPEAKER_13: If the world was ending, you come overright.
43:26
SPEAKER_13: Right.
43:29
SPEAKER_15: I tried to imagine your reaction.
43:33
SPEAKER_15: It didn't scare me when the earthquake happened, but it really got me thinking.
43:37
SPEAKER_15: The night we went drinking.
43:39
SPEAKER_15: Stumbled in the house and didn't make up as the kitchen.
43:42
SPEAKER_15: Ah, it's been a year now.
43:44
SPEAKER_15: Think I figured out how to think about you without it ripping my heart out.
43:49
SPEAKER_14: And I know you know, we know you aren't down for forever and it's fine.
43:56
SPEAKER_14: I know you know, we know we weren't meant for each other, and it's fine.
44:02
SPEAKER_14: But if the world was ending, you come overright.
44:06
SPEAKER_06: You come over and you stay the night.
44:09
SPEAKER_06: Would you love me for the hell of it?
44:12
SPEAKER_06: All our fears would be irrelevant.
44:15
SPEAKER_06: If the world was ending, you come over eye.
44:18
SPEAKER_06: Sky before them while I hold you tight.
44:22
SPEAKER_06: No, there wouldn't be a reason why.
44:25
SPEAKER_06: We would even have to say goodbye.
44:28
SPEAKER_06: If the war was end, then you come over eye.
44:31
SPEAKER_06: You come over eye, you come over, you come over, you come over eye.
44:42
SPEAKER_02: I know you know, I know you went out for forever and it's fine.
44:49
SPEAKER_02: I know you know, we know we weren't meant for each other and it's fine.
44:56
SPEAKER_06: But if the world was ending, you come over a you come over and you say the night.
45:03
SPEAKER_06: Would you love me for the hell of it?
45:06
SPEAKER_06: All I fears would be irrelevant.
45:09
SPEAKER_06: If the world was ending, you come over aye.
45:13
SPEAKER_06: Sky be falling while I hold you tight.
45:16
SPEAKER_06: Now there wouldn't be a reason why.
45:19
SPEAKER_06: We would even have to say goodbye.
45:22
SPEAKER_06: If the world was ending, you come over a you come over, you come over, you come over a if the wall was ending you come over, eh.
45:38
SPEAKER_10: Man, I got my fingers ain't fast enough, brother.
45:43
SPEAKER_10: Was that what a waltz was?
45:44
SPEAKER_10: I wasn't paying attention.
45:45
SPEAKER_10: We were talking about so much.
45:48
SPEAKER_10: There was one we were playing, though.
45:49
SPEAKER_10: The first the one before this one was had the was a waltz too.
45:53
SPEAKER_10: I think so.
45:53
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
45:53
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
45:54
SPEAKER_10: One, two, three.
45:55
SPEAKER_10: One, two, three.
45:56
SPEAKER_10: K S-J-E, that's uh Ken sitting over there next to me.
46:00
SPEAKER_10: And of course, uh I I I I like I used to go by the generals.
46:03
SPEAKER_10: I don't know if you knew that or not.
46:04
SPEAKER_10: I yeah, I do.
46:05
unknown: Yeah.
46:06
SPEAKER_09: I beat a general.
46:07
SPEAKER_09: You had to stop doing that because you were General Mills.
46:13
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
46:13
SPEAKER_10: Well, no, no, no.
46:14
SPEAKER_10: I could be duh General Mills.
46:16
SPEAKER_10: Duh General.
46:17
SPEAKER_10: But I could not be General Mills.
46:18
SPEAKER_10: That's why it changed to Du General.
46:20
SPEAKER_10: Exactly right.
46:22
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
46:23
SPEAKER_10: I'll never forget having the argument with the guy from General Mills.
46:25
SPEAKER_11: I I talked with a representative from General Mills.
46:29
SPEAKER_10: You gotta quit using that.
46:32
SPEAKER_10: No, we're not General Mills.
46:33
SPEAKER_10: We are.
46:34
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, that's exactly what he said.
46:36
SPEAKER_10: And it it was funny.
46:37
SPEAKER_10: I mean, you would think you might get a phone call, and because I got call I got a call from somebody claiming to be Wolfman Jack and told me how much he loved me, you know.
46:47
SPEAKER_10: But um, but this guy uh he came into the radio station.
46:51
SPEAKER_10: It was in Texas.
46:52
SPEAKER_10: We were on the main thoroughfrayer through Texas.
46:55
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
46:55
SPEAKER_10: Uh I 20, I think it was, and he came in.
46:59
SPEAKER_10: Uh, you can't use General Mills.
47:02
SPEAKER_10: I said, Well, that's my name.
47:04
SPEAKER_10: It's literally my name.
47:06
SPEAKER_10: I just got my driver's line, I'll show you.
47:07
SPEAKER_10: I didn't say General on there, he said.
47:10
SPEAKER_10: But yeah, he showed me his credentials.
47:12
SPEAKER_10: I had to show him mine, so I took it.
47:14
SPEAKER_10: I went from that to Dud General.
47:16
SPEAKER_10: Dud General.
47:17
SPEAKER_10: But that was after he left, which is D A, the first two letters of my middle name, which is what I normally go by here.
47:23
SPEAKER_10: Exactly.
47:23
SPEAKER_10: So yeah.
47:24
SPEAKER_10: But I I got away with using Dud General for years after.
47:28
SPEAKER_10: Nowadays they want you to do that because it's product recognition.
47:31
SPEAKER_10: It is.
47:32
SPEAKER_10: You know product recognition.
47:33
SPEAKER_10: Alright, so I'm getting ready to play a song, and you're going through this whole rigmarole about this song I'm getting ready to play.
47:39
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
47:40
SPEAKER_10: Dear Winter.
47:41
SPEAKER_09: Dear Winter.
47:42
SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
47:43
SPEAKER_09: So this is a song.
47:45
SPEAKER_09: This is not normal.
47:47
SPEAKER_09: This is a man singing about his child that has not been born.
47:53
SPEAKER_10: His unborn child.
47:54
SPEAKER_09: Not even conceived.
47:56
SPEAKER_09: Because he has to meet his mother.
47:59
SPEAKER_09: He hasn't even her mother.
48:00
SPEAKER_10: He hasn't done that yet.
48:01
SPEAKER_09: He hasn't met the mother yet.
48:04
SPEAKER_09: That's amazing to me.
48:06
SPEAKER_09: I love it.
48:07
SPEAKER_09: It's kind of cool.
48:07
SPEAKER_09: And the artist is AJR.
48:10
SPEAKER_09: I J AJ R.
48:11
SPEAKER_09: I have no idea who AJR is.
48:14
SPEAKER_09: It's too bad.
48:15
SPEAKER_09: I've just always loved this song.
48:16
SPEAKER_10: Sub Ben Ridd's not here because she would let us know.
48:19
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, she would.
48:20
SPEAKER_11: She would definitely.
48:22
SPEAKER_10: Alright, well, here is AJ, and I kind of check on time.
48:25
SPEAKER_10: Oh, we're good on time.
48:26
SPEAKER_10: Here's AJR and Dear Winter.
48:28
SPEAKER_10: I I think I'm gonna love this song anyway, too.
48:30
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
48:31
SPEAKER_10: I think it's here.
48:34
SPEAKER_12: I hope they don't make fun of you when you grow up and go to school, okay?
48:42
SPEAKER_12: Cause winter is a badass name.
48:46
SPEAKER_12: Dear Winter, I hope you talk to girls or boys or anyone you like.
48:54
SPEAKER_12: I just hope you don't stay in every night.
48:59
SPEAKER_12: Cause I wish I was out tonight.
49:08
SPEAKER_12: It really doesn't seem like there's anyone for me.
49:13
SPEAKER_12: But dear winter, I hope you like today.
49:17
SPEAKER_12: I'm hoping that someday I can meet you on this earth.
49:23
SPEAKER_12: But shit, I gotta meet your mom first.
49:28
SPEAKER_12: Dear Winter, I hope you like this song.
49:33
SPEAKER_12: And even when you're 13 and you scream at me for parenting you wrong.
49:41
SPEAKER_12: I hope it's still a badass song.
49:50
SPEAKER_12: It really doesn't seem like there's anyone for me.
49:55
SPEAKER_12: But dear Winter, I hope you like your name.
49:59
SPEAKER_12: You know I cannot wait to teach you how to curse.
50:05
SPEAKER_12: But shit, I gotta meet your mom first.
50:10
SPEAKER_12: Dear Winter, don't move too far away.
50:15
SPEAKER_12: And please don't say I'm hovering when I text you to ask about your day.
50:23
SPEAKER_12: I wanna hear about your day.
50:35
SPEAKER_12: When I'm no longer in charge, oh dear Winter.
50:39
SPEAKER_12: I hope you like your night.
50:41
SPEAKER_12: I hope you let me take a shot with you on your 21st.
50:47
SPEAKER_12: But shit, you gotta ask your mom first.
50:52
SPEAKER_12: Dear Winter, I'm looking for your mom.
50:57
SPEAKER_12: I gotta find a girl that doesn't mind that I'm inside my head a lot.
51:05
SPEAKER_12: Winter, it won't be too long.
51:10
SPEAKER_12: First, I just gotta find your mom.
51:29
SPEAKER_10: So he may have a girlfriend, we don't know.
51:38
SPEAKER_10: But he's still looking for the mother of his child.
51:41
SPEAKER_10: And he's singing to the child and the unborn child that he hasn't that hasn't even even been conceived yet.
51:50
SPEAKER_10: My head is blown.
51:56
SPEAKER_10: So you were talking about Jerry a little bit too.
51:59
SPEAKER_10: So she has a playlist that she uses.
52:05
SPEAKER_09: That's what Jerry's songs were.
52:08
SPEAKER_09: Seventies easy listening.
52:11
SPEAKER_09: That's her entire playlist.
52:14
SPEAKER_10: I like seventies easy listing stuff, but not making my entire playlist.
52:18
SPEAKER_09: No, not my entire listing.
52:20
SPEAKER_09: No.
52:21
SPEAKER_09: So anyway, that's always been her playlist.
52:24
SPEAKER_09: And I was cleaning the kitchen one time.
52:28
SPEAKER_09: And we were listening to Jerry's playlist, and this song happened to come up on the playlist.
52:35
SPEAKER_09: And I thought, ooh, that's a really good song.
52:39
SPEAKER_09: So I'm gonna add it to mine.
52:40
SPEAKER_09: So Jerry in all of our arguing about who has the play better playlist, which it's obvious it's me, obviously.
52:50
SPEAKER_09: Um I have to give her kudos because this song comes from Jerry.
52:58
SPEAKER_10: And it's by a guy by the name of Leon Bridges.
53:00
SPEAKER_10: Leon Bridges?
53:02
SPEAKER_10: Who uh I'm not familiar with either.
53:04
SPEAKER_10: No.
53:04
SPEAKER_10: I did hear part of the song and and you know, pulling putting all this stuff together.
53:09
SPEAKER_10: And uh I yeah, I kinda like it too.
53:11
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
53:12
SPEAKER_10: So alright, I guess uh we're we're about out of time anyway.
53:15
SPEAKER_10: Yeah.

53:22
SPEAKER_10: Um I'm excited to talk to Ren in Japan.
53:25
SPEAKER_10: Uh this is KSJE.
53:27
SPEAKER_10: It is the wake-up call, and it's exclusively in radio on KSJE, but it's worldwide at InterWestconcepts.com.
53:34
SPEAKER_10: That's all one word case.
53:36
SPEAKER_10: Who originally set that webpage up was a guy sitting over here with me.
53:41
SPEAKER_10: Who?
53:42
SPEAKER_10: Ken, yes indeed.
53:43
SPEAKER_10: I was all so upset when you sold out or gave up.
53:47
SPEAKER_10: You didn't sell out, you gave it away.
53:50
SPEAKER_10: But you may take it back.
53:51
SPEAKER_10: All right, well listen, Ken, thanks for taking time out of your Sunday reaction.
53:54
SPEAKER_10: Oh, I love it, man.
53:55
SPEAKER_10: A Sunday for a change.
53:56
SPEAKER_10: And uh, I hope to see you again soon.

SPEAKER_10: It's coming back, baby.
54:02

54:21
SPEAKER_05: Feeling things I'm never fell.
54:24
SPEAKER_05: It's kind of hard for me to explain her personality and everything bring it to my knee.
54:37
SPEAKER_05: She's shining it up like gold on my own.
54:40
SPEAKER_05: I wanna take it slow, but it's so hard.
54:43
SPEAKER_05: I love to see her face today like It's more than just a body than she's really tempting Do you think I'll be fooling to follow my feet?
