Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am Sherri Mackey and it's time right now for
- 0:05Speaker 2: today's word.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Even this is part of the plan.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Psalms 119.91 says, Your faithfulness extends to every generation like
- 0:16Speaker 2: the earth you created. It endures by your decree for
- 0:20Speaker 2: everything serves your plan. Have you ever looked at your
- 0:25Speaker 2: life and wondered, God, what are you doing here? This
- 0:28Speaker 2: is not how I planned it. This is not where
- 0:30Speaker 2: I thought I'd be. And honestly, none of this makes sense. Well,
- 0:34Speaker 2: let me encourage you today. Just because you don't understand
- 0:37Speaker 2: what God is doing doesn't mean he's not working. Life
- 0:40Speaker 2: doesn't always move in a straight line. Sometimes there are detours,
- 0:44Speaker 2: unexpected delays, closed doors and disappointments that leave us questioning
- 0:48Speaker 2: our next move. You thought the relationship would last. You
- 0:52Speaker 2: thought the opportunity was yours. You prayed for one outcome,
- 0:55Speaker 2: but life took a completely different turn. And when things
- 0:58Speaker 2: don't go according to plan, it's easy to become frustrated
- 1:02Speaker 2: and assume that someone has done you wrong or something
- 1:06Speaker 2: has gone wrong. But what if the setback you're upset
- 1:09Speaker 2: about is the very thing God will use to redirect
- 1:13Speaker 2: your steps? Psalms 119.91 reminds us that everything serves God's plan.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That doesn't mean everything that happens is good or that
- 1:24Speaker 2: God approves of every wrong done to us. It means
- 1:28Speaker 2: that even in a broken, unpredictable world, nothing is beyond
- 1:33Speaker 2: his ability to redeem and use for his purpose.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Sometimes a closed.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Door protects you from what you can't see. Sometimes a
- 1:43Speaker 2: delay protects develops the patience and the wisdom you need
- 1:47Speaker 2: for the next season. And sometimes when life pushes you
- 1:50Speaker 2: out of your comfort zone, God uses that uncomfortable place
- 1:54Speaker 2: to prepare you for something you never would have pursued
- 1:57Speaker 2: on your own.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I want you to think about it.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You may be calling it a setback while God is
- 2:02Speaker 2: using it to teach you, strengthen you, and redirect you.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You may feel like you're moving backward, but this season
- 2:08Speaker 2: could be preparing you for a different way forward. So,
- 2:13Speaker 2: What do you do when you don't understand?
- 2:15Speaker 1: You keep praying. You keep obeying.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You keep doing what is right and you refuse to
- 2:19Speaker 2: let uncertainty steal your peace. You don't have to know
- 2:23Speaker 2: every detail of the plan to trust the one who
- 2:25Speaker 2: holds your future. Your responsibility is to remain faithful. God's
- 2:30Speaker 2: responsibility is to lead you. Today, stop exhausting yourself trying
- 2:36Speaker 2: to figure out every twist and turn. Trust God in
- 2:39Speaker 2: the unanswered questions, the unexpected changes, and the seasons that
- 2:43Speaker 2: don't make sense. The story isn't over just because the
- 2:47Speaker 2: chapter is difficult. You may not understand the process, but
- 2:51Speaker 2: you can trust the God.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Who is walking you through it. Oh, Father God, thank
- 2:55Speaker 1: you that.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Even when we can't understand what's happening, we can trust
- 2:59Speaker 2: your wisdom and faithfulness. Help us, God, to release the
- 3:03Speaker 2: need to control every outcome. God, give us peace in
- 3:06Speaker 2: the waiting, strength in the setbacks, and discernment to recognize
- 3:10Speaker 2: when you're redirecting our steps. Heal our disappointments, God, and
- 3:14Speaker 2: keep our heart strong. from growing weary. God, we believe
- 3:18Speaker 2: you can redeem what has hurt us and guide us
- 3:21Speaker 2: toward your purpose in Jesus' name.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Hey, now that's your word for today.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Take it, apply it to your everyday life, and you
- 3:28Speaker 2: continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's your early morning
- 3:31Speaker 2: praise party. I am Sherri Mackey.
