- 0:09Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome into another episode of Inside the Charge.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Maddie Glab here from Buffalo because somebody has to hold
- 0:17Speaker 1: it down when everybody is out in L.A. Like my man,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Ray Davis. California Ray, he's undeniable. Ray, what's going on,
- 0:28Speaker 1: my man?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Good. Enjoying this nice sunshine and got a chance to
- 0:34Speaker 2: sit by the pool. So that was pretty cool. Amazing.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Amazing. Uh, you got any fun plans while you're out
- 0:40Speaker 1: in LA? See family, do anything fun?
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Family, you know, I'm being from California, um, you know,
- 0:47Speaker 2: West coast, best coast, but I'm more of a NorCal guy,
- 0:51Speaker 2: but I got a lot of family out here, so
- 0:53Speaker 2: we'll probably grab some, some food and just kind of
- 0:55Speaker 2: enjoy just breaking bread and talking.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I love it. And also probably a chance for you
- 1:01Speaker 1: and your team to break bread. This is kind of
- 1:03Speaker 1: like a training camp part two. You don't get many
- 1:06Speaker 1: weeks in the middle of an NFL season where you
- 1:09Speaker 1: guys are together for an entire week. That's got to
- 1:11Speaker 1: be beneficial too, right?
- 1:12Speaker 4: 100%.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I mean, a lot of guys last night right after
- 1:15Speaker 2: the game, I mean, we all hopped in the car
- 1:17Speaker 2: and went to In-N-Out. So that was like another moment
- 1:20Speaker 2: for us to break bread and just kick it. Some
- 1:23Speaker 2: guys were just in the hotel lobby. A lot of
- 1:24Speaker 2: us were just sitting at the bar eating. So it
- 1:27Speaker 2: just gave us another chance to just hang out and
- 1:30Speaker 2: be with the boys.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Shout out In-N-Out. What's the In-N-Out order, Rae?
- 1:35Speaker 2: I mean, I've had In-N-Out my whole life, so I'm
- 1:38Speaker 2: not like too, too big on it. But you always
- 1:42Speaker 2: got to go to the secret menu, animal style fries.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Make sure you got the good double burger. You know,
- 1:51Speaker 2: it's a good order right there.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You a shake guy? Because they do some ice cream
- 1:54Speaker 1: shakes too. Yeah.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm more of a plain Jane, vanilla or Oreo
- 2:00Speaker 2: shake guy. That's pretty good.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I don't do chocolate or strawberry.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That sounds good. Sweet. Ray, a wild Week 5 finish
- 2:09Speaker 1: between the Bills and the Rams. Game goes into overtime.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Tyler Bass wins it thanks to a 45-yard field goal.
- 2:17Speaker 1: That's possible because outside linebacker Greg Rousseau blocks the Rams'
- 2:22Speaker 1: 48-yard field goal. What was the craziest part of that
- 2:27Speaker 1: game for you?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Oh, well, it wasn't crazy. I mean, just... Looking at
- 2:33Speaker 2: two explosive offenses going at it, right? Like you got
- 2:37Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford reigning MVP. Josh Allen also reigning MVP. So
- 2:42Speaker 2: you knew it was going to be a dogfight. But
- 2:45Speaker 2: just overall, like defense stepped up when we needed them
- 2:48Speaker 2: to step up. You know, obviously Jimbo had a good day.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Josh had a good day. So that part was crazy.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But their kicker missing it was insane. I honestly thought
- 3:02Speaker 2: he just kicked it bad. I didn't even know Greg
- 3:05Speaker 2: blocked it until I saw Instagram later that night. And
- 3:07Speaker 2: I was like, oh, Greg blocked it.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 2: But, hey, you know, T-Bass, ice in the veins, man.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You know, you got an opportunity to come back. And,
- 3:17Speaker 2: you know, what he missed one early on. And I
- 3:19Speaker 2: knew he wasn't going to let that, you know, stop
- 3:22Speaker 2: him for impacting the game and go out there and
- 3:25Speaker 2: get the game winner. So, shout out to T-Bass.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Shout out to T-Bass. Shout out to Josh Allen because
- 3:31Speaker 1: he gets his first overtime win in his career. When
- 3:35Speaker 1: I saw that, I was like, that is not real.
- 3:37Speaker 1: This has happened before in his nine-year career. But sometimes
- 3:41Speaker 1: things take a little bit of time. So glad that
- 3:44Speaker 1: Josh Allen now has that under his belt. But what
- 3:48Speaker 1: was the post-game celebration like knowing that you guys won
- 3:52Speaker 1: in overtime, Ray?
- 3:55Speaker 2: It was like any other celebration. You know, you get
- 3:57Speaker 2: into the locker room, guys are excited for each other.
- 4:00Speaker 2: You know, Grable, he stepped in for Spence, so that
- 4:03Speaker 2: was pretty cool to see that he got his shot
- 4:05Speaker 2: on Monday Night Football. A lot of people were around
- 4:07Speaker 2: him congratulating him, being excited for him. Then obviously congratulating
- 4:13Speaker 2: T-Bass and going crazy for there. But it was just
- 4:15Speaker 2: like a normal, you know, regular post-W locker room type
- 4:21Speaker 2: of celebration. But yeah, Obviously, Joe was big on putting
- 4:25Speaker 2: the ball down, and that was kind of like a huge,
- 4:28Speaker 2: huge put the ball down, and whatever happens, happens, and
- 4:31Speaker 2: you got a play us type of vibe, and that's
- 4:33Speaker 2: exactly how we felt at the end of the game.
- 4:36Speaker 1: After a win, who is the one guy in the
- 4:39Speaker 1: locker room that is going to be lit no matter
- 4:42Speaker 1: what a victory looks like? Ooh.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I feel like it's everybody. I can't think of one
- 4:52Speaker 2: person because everybody's going crazy in the locker room. But
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm going to say Sam Franklin.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Sam Franklin?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Sam Franklin.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Is he yelling? What is he doing?
- 5:05Speaker 3: Dancing?
- 5:06Speaker 2: I don't think Sam Franklin ever turns off being Sam Franklin.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So he's always enthusiastic, always yelling, always enjoying it. But
- 5:15Speaker 2: I'm going to say Sam.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I like it. Ray, you had a 70-yard kick return
- 5:21Speaker 1: to start the game. The Rams kick up the ball
- 5:24Speaker 1: your way, and you make them pay. Where did the
- 5:28Speaker 1: lanes open up for you to take advantage of?
- 5:31Speaker 4: You know, I've seen our, in my opinion, which I
- 5:37Speaker 4: hope he gets it this year, I've seen our all-pro
- 5:41Speaker 4: special teams guy, Joe Andreessen, he set up a great
- 5:44Speaker 4: block in the middle of the field.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I was able to cut off him and, um, you know,
- 5:49Speaker 2: I was, I didn't, I got caught by the kicker.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That's really upsetting. But outside of that, I seen Joe
- 5:55Speaker 2: Andreessen's block. A lot of guys on the outside were
- 5:57Speaker 2: taken care of what they had to take care of.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And well, as a collective unit, we were able to
- 6:01Speaker 2: get a 70 yard return to start the game.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Well, 70 yards sets up a field goal, the first
- 6:06Speaker 1: points of the game. So kudos to you. And then
- 6:10Speaker 1: later in the game, you show up again, one target
- 6:13Speaker 1: and a 31 yard play in the fourth quarter. to
- 6:16Speaker 1: set up a touchdown. Ray, you are so good at
- 6:19Speaker 1: slipping defenders. How does that happen?
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think just having the low center of gravity
- 6:26Speaker 2: that I have and kind of being the way I'm built,
- 6:28Speaker 2: a lot of guys kind of try to tackle me
- 6:32Speaker 2: lower on my legs, ankles, and things like that. So
- 6:35Speaker 2: when they do try to go upper body tackle, I
- 6:38Speaker 2: kind of just try to run through it and run
- 6:40Speaker 2: through home tackles as much as I can. But that's
- 6:42Speaker 2: something that we harp on as a running back group, man. Like,
- 6:45Speaker 2: you know, once you get in positions where it's a
- 6:47Speaker 2: one on one, you got you got to win that.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And however you win is however you win it. But
- 6:52Speaker 2: you got to get the job done.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It's now time to hand out some awards. I had
- 6:57Speaker 1: to give you kudos because I know you're not going
- 6:59Speaker 1: to be like, I win this award. So you win
- 7:03Speaker 1: my award and I gave it to you on the Maddie's.
- 7:06Speaker 1: On One Bills Live earlier today. So shout out Ray Davis.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Before we get into the other awards. We have Ray
- 7:14Speaker 1: Day's big plays. Hit them for us.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Ray Day's big play. First big play. Drum roll please.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It has to be.
- 7:22Speaker 6: Khalil's.
- 7:22Speaker 4: 21.9 miles per hour.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's a fast guy moving. But. He caught a choice route,
- 7:37Speaker 2: took it almost to the house. But that had to
- 7:41Speaker 2: be my first one. I think that gave us a
- 7:43Speaker 2: lot of energy, just seeing that. He was quiet all day,
- 7:46Speaker 2: but he stepped up pretty big in a big moment.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So I got to give it to Khalil. 1B obviously
- 7:52Speaker 2: has to go to T-Bass. Yeah. T-Bass, game winner. Kick.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Got the boys in the position to win. So that's 1A, 1B,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and 2A. this is hard this is hard because two
- 8:09Speaker 2: and three kind of go to my counterpart Jimbo Jimbo
- 8:14Speaker 2: has some really good runs like realistically I think.
- 8:18Speaker 5: What a 23 for 108 maybe 111 I think he
- 8:22Speaker 5: finishes with yeah and almost what three tugs maybe two
- 8:26Speaker 5: tugs so yeah Jimbo gets two and three he has
- 8:29Speaker 5: some really good runs the the I want to say
- 8:32Speaker 5: the first touchdown run He was able to break the
- 8:35Speaker 5: corner's tackle and get to the edge and score there,
- 8:38Speaker 5: and then obviously putting us in a position to take
- 8:41Speaker 5: the lead right before overtime.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So Jimbo kind of gets two and three because there
- 8:45Speaker 2: were some really good runs there.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Nice. And then do you have a three, or are
- 8:48Speaker 1: you just giving one two out? Three.
- 8:52Speaker 7: See, it was such a long game, so it's so
- 8:57Speaker 7: hard to pick, but Josh Allen's quarterback break where he
- 9:02Speaker 7: ran the guy over.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, when you got a guy like Josh Allen running
- 9:08Speaker 2: at you, you should probably get out the way. But,
- 9:11Speaker 2: you know, that's my suggestion.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's your suggestion. 107 scramble yards out of Josh Allen.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He took advantage of what the Rams defense was giving him.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And it was funny because you look back on a
- 9:22Speaker 1: game like that, the Rams defense cage rushed him, but
- 9:26Speaker 1: Allen did a good job of finding small creases to
- 9:29Speaker 1: take advantage of. Ray, when you see your starting quarterback
- 9:33Speaker 1: do things like that, slip defenders like you do, what
- 9:37Speaker 1: goes through the mind?
- 9:39Speaker 2: Again, that is a big boy who's running down the
- 9:42Speaker 2: field to get out the way. But what he does
- 9:48Speaker 2: in the pocket, man, you know, to be a pocket
- 9:50Speaker 2: passer but also to have that scramble dynamic ability to
- 9:55Speaker 2: you is scary as a defense just because do you
- 9:59Speaker 2: spy the corner? that means you're taking a guy out
- 10:03Speaker 2: of zone coverage potentially man coverage do you not spy
- 10:07Speaker 2: him now it depends on your four guys rushing can
- 10:11Speaker 2: they get home and if they don't get home that
- 10:14Speaker 2: means that middle of the field is wide open and
- 10:16Speaker 2: I think we saw that with Josh's yesterday where he
- 10:19Speaker 2: capitalized on a lot of those moments where the pass
- 10:22Speaker 2: runs went too far up the field or they made
- 10:24Speaker 2: a missed him and You know, he made them pay.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Josh Allen just another guy who's a part of the
- 10:30Speaker 1: running back room sometimes it was wild and awesome to
- 10:33Speaker 1: see him Scramble for that many yards It was the
- 10:36Speaker 1: first time in Bill's history right that a bills quarterback
- 10:39Speaker 1: and a bills running back goes off for at least
- 10:42Speaker 1: a hundred rushing yards So fun little tidbit there. We
- 10:46Speaker 1: got one more award for you. I Cape of the day.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Who is getting it?
- 10:53Speaker 2: I would like to take my cape off and give
- 10:55Speaker 2: this cape to someone who deserves the cape of the day.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And that goes to Tyler Bass. T-Bass, game-winning kick. Like
- 11:09Speaker 2: I said previously before that, missed one, barely missed it. Obviously,
- 11:14Speaker 2: as a kicker, you don't want to have that type
- 11:17Speaker 2: of feeling of missing a kick. And then, you know,
- 11:19Speaker 2: later on to get put in a position to win
- 11:22Speaker 2: the game, I think mentally that just shows that he's
- 11:26Speaker 2: a guy who believes in next play, next play mentality, right? Hey,
- 11:32Speaker 2: I may have missed a kick, but I'm going to
- 11:33Speaker 2: have plenty more opportunities after this. I can't let that dwell.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And in the biggest moment of the game, he had
- 11:40Speaker 2: ice in his veins. There was nothing that was going
- 11:44Speaker 2: to stop him from putting the ball between the goalposts.
- 11:47Speaker 2: My cape goes to T-Bass. Hey, I'm your kicking friend.
- 11:51Speaker 2: You know I kick a couple field goals too, so
- 11:54Speaker 2: I know how hard that was, and kudos to you.
- 11:58Speaker 2: My cape is for Tyler Bass today.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I love it. Kicking friends. You know exactly how tough
- 12:03Speaker 1: it is to kick a 45-yard game winner in overtime.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I do.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I've done it in high school.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Come on, Ray. Line up next to him. Let's see it.
- 12:14Speaker 1: A man of many talents, that is Ray Davis. Ray,
- 12:17Speaker 1: we have Joe Andreessen on the podcast this week. You
- 12:21Speaker 1: have any fun Joe Andreessen stories?
- 12:24Speaker 2: What I can say about Joe, and this is me
- 12:27Speaker 2: being completely honest, I don't think we would have had
- 12:31Speaker 2: a successful special teams outing, and I'm going to say
- 12:36Speaker 2: kickoff return and kickoff, without having Joe Andreessen. Just the
- 12:40Speaker 2: dedication that he brings to this team. The motivation, the
- 12:44Speaker 2: guy comes to work, grabs his hard hat, grabs his
- 12:47Speaker 2: lunch pail and just does what he has to do.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And when you look at his journey and everything that
- 12:52Speaker 2: he's been through to be where he's at today, it's inspirational.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Like I was a part of his rookie mini camp
- 12:58Speaker 2: where he got invited and tried out when he made it.
- 13:00Speaker 2: So to see somebody really come from the mud and
- 13:03Speaker 2: make it and got signed last week. So I got
- 13:08Speaker 2: a lot, a lot of respect for Joe. I love Joe.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I hope he continues to make this city proud. And
- 13:15Speaker 2: when we get it done and bring the ring home,
- 13:18Speaker 2: I hope that they have a statue of Joe Andreessen
- 13:20Speaker 2: somewhere because that is the real neighborhood hero. But love Joe,
- 13:26Speaker 2: love Joe, Joe, love Joe.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I love it. Everybody loves Buffalo Joe. And, man, thinking
- 13:31Speaker 1: about the Bills bringing home a Super Bowl ring and
- 13:35Speaker 1: what that would mean to Joe Andreessen gets me a
- 13:37Speaker 1: little bit emotional thinking about something like that. But you
- 13:41Speaker 1: guys enjoy that interview with Joe Andreessen. We'll be back
- 13:44Speaker 1: for more after. Joe, thanks for taking the time to
- 13:48Speaker 1: sit down and chat a little Buffalo, chat a little football,
- 13:51Speaker 1: and chat a little fun.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Thank you for having me, Matt.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You just signed a two-year contract extension, been here for
- 13:56Speaker 1: three years now. What did you do to put yourself
- 13:59Speaker 1: in the mix for a contract extension?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Oh, man. I don't think there's an easy answer to that.
- 14:05Speaker 3: You know, you come in here every year for training camp.
- 14:09Speaker 6: And especially my rookie year, you just see the level
- 14:12Speaker 6: of competition and, you know, people fighting for jobs out there.
- 14:15Speaker 6: So I think I just learned quickly that to be
- 14:19Speaker 6: able to stay in this league, you have to have
- 14:21Speaker 6: a process at a high level and be consistent every day.
- 14:24Speaker 6: And that's what I try to do. And, you know,
- 14:26Speaker 6: thankfully it led me here.
- 14:28Speaker 1: How did you learn to have a process at a
- 14:31Speaker 1: high level?
- 14:32Speaker 6: I give all the credit to, it was Mark and
- 14:34Speaker 6: Mark Carrier and Kelsey. It used to be Kelsey. It's
- 14:37Speaker 6: Amanda now. but Kelsey was it for my, my rookie year. And, uh,
- 14:42Speaker 6: you know, they made a big emphasis. So we had
- 14:44Speaker 6: rookie meetings, my whole rookie year, they made a big
- 14:45Speaker 6: emphasis of that. And, uh, coach McDermott, which was here
- 14:49Speaker 6: my rookie year, he made a big emphasis of that
- 14:51Speaker 6: as well. Um, and, you know, we had meetings all
- 14:54Speaker 6: the time, talked about stuff, talked about, you know, how
- 14:56Speaker 6: you can get help and, you know, to figure your
- 14:59Speaker 6: process out and, uh, you know, to lead you down
- 15:02Speaker 6: that road. And, uh, also I'd say just the vets
- 15:04Speaker 6: I had in the room, my rookie year too, uh,
- 15:07Speaker 6: Matt Milano, TB, and Nick Morrow, all those guys helped
- 15:10Speaker 6: me out a bunch.
- 15:12Speaker 1: How did the contract extension come together?
- 15:14Speaker 6: Ooh, I think it came together over the past couple
- 15:18Speaker 6: of weeks.
- 15:20Speaker 3: And yeah, it was kind of a, I wouldn't say
- 15:23Speaker 3: long process.
- 15:24Speaker 6: It went to a couple of weeks, but my agent
- 15:26Speaker 6: was on the phone with me and telling me we're
- 15:29Speaker 6: getting close, we're getting closer. And, you know, I was
- 15:31Speaker 6: just kind of like, whatever, I'm in like middle of
- 15:33Speaker 6: the season and everything, like it is what it is.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Whenever it happens, it happens. If it doesn't happen, it
- 15:37Speaker 3: doesn't happen.
- 15:38Speaker 6: And, uh, I remember him calling me Friday and he's like, Oh,
- 15:42Speaker 6: like we're really close. Like, I think we might be
- 15:44Speaker 6: able to get it done before the game. And, you know, again,
- 15:47Speaker 6: I was just kind of like, uh, yeah, we'll see.
- 15:48Speaker 6: He kind of said the same thing last week. We'll
- 15:50Speaker 6: see if we get it done before the game. And
- 15:52Speaker 6: then I got a walkthrough on Saturday and I had
- 15:55Speaker 6: a missed call from my agent, uh, called him back.
- 15:58Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, go upstairs. We got it. So, uh,
- 16:00Speaker 3: it all happened really fast. I remember going upstairs to
- 16:02Speaker 3: sign it.
- 16:03Speaker 6: And, um, you know, I didn't really know how to
- 16:05Speaker 6: feel it, you know, it kind of like, you know,
- 16:07Speaker 6: when you have that feeling where you don't know how
- 16:08Speaker 6: to feel, uh, ultimately I was, I was super happy
- 16:11Speaker 6: about it. And, uh, you know, when I got home,
- 16:13Speaker 6: my parents and, uh, uh, my girlfriend was, were very
- 16:17Speaker 6: happy too.
- 16:17Speaker 3: My fiance, I should say.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Joe, you're a Buffalo native. You grew up here going
- 16:22Speaker 1: to Bill's games. You make this team off of a tryout.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Now you sign a two year contract extension, which part
- 16:29Speaker 1: of your journey prepared you most for this moment?
- 16:32Speaker 6: Oh, um, I'd say, you know, just, I don't think
- 16:37Speaker 6: there's one specific, but kind of throughout my high school process,
- 16:42Speaker 6: my college process, that whole thing.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I think I was used to not.
- 16:47Speaker 6: Always being maybe like a five-star recruit or being, you know,
- 16:52Speaker 6: a big time wanted player in terms of that. In
- 16:55Speaker 6: high school, I had one division one offer. I got
- 16:59Speaker 6: offered like a week before the signing day and you know,
- 17:03Speaker 6: went there. I remember I entered the transfer portal my
- 17:07Speaker 6: last year at Bryant University and I had one FBS offer,
- 17:12Speaker 6: which was to UB and kind of same thing going
- 17:15Speaker 6: to the Bills. Bills, I had a rookie tryout and
- 17:19Speaker 6: got signed. And it's kind of like I was squeaking
- 17:22Speaker 6: through the cracks up a level every time, you know,
- 17:26Speaker 6: barely making it. And so I think I was used
- 17:29Speaker 6: to that. And I think it's also the mindset, whatever happens, happens.
- 17:34Speaker 6: I remember coming in my rookie year and I wasn't
- 17:37Speaker 6: sure what the NFL was like. I wasn't sure the
- 17:40Speaker 6: speed of the game, but I remember I was super
- 17:42Speaker 6: grateful for the opportunity. I remember going out there and saying,
- 17:45Speaker 6: whatever happens, happens. If I'm good enough to play at
- 17:48Speaker 6: this level, it'll happen. And, uh, you know, if it
- 17:52Speaker 6: didn't happen that way, you know, I'd have been grateful
- 17:54Speaker 6: for the opportunity and kept going.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So you're squeaking through the cracks, barely making it, but
- 17:59Speaker 1: you made it every step of the way. So many people. can,
- 18:03Speaker 1: can say that either they have or they haven't. I mean,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I think about a guy who was just behind us
- 18:09Speaker 1: right here in Josh Allen, who similar to you, not,
- 18:12Speaker 1: not a lot of offers coming out of high school
- 18:15Speaker 1: and you really have to work your way into getting
- 18:18Speaker 1: those offers and showing that I belong here. I think
- 18:22Speaker 1: you do that through your work ethic.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Where does your work ethic come from?
- 18:26Speaker 6: Um, my parents, I think, uh, like undoubtedly my parents,
- 18:31Speaker 6: me and my brother were instilled at a young age, uh,
- 18:34Speaker 6: what you want in life, you work for it. And, uh,
- 18:37Speaker 6: my dad is, I would say an extremist. He's like,
- 18:40Speaker 6: you know, whatever you want, you, you don't go a
- 18:42Speaker 6: hundred percent, you go like 200% into it. Um, so obviously, uh,
- 18:47Speaker 6: my parents like sports and me and my brother likes sports.
- 18:50Speaker 6: So kind of, you know, that's kind of the avenue we.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Took in life.
- 18:53Speaker 6: And, you know, my dad and my mom, we're going
- 18:56Speaker 6: to do everything in their possibility to make sure that
- 18:59Speaker 6: we had all the advantages that we could have going
- 19:02Speaker 6: into sports. And, uh, you know, I mean, I'm super
- 19:05Speaker 6: grateful for them and giving us the opportunity and, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 6: kind of instilled that work ethic and, you know, I
- 19:10Speaker 6: think it's stuck with me and, you know, uh, my
- 19:13Speaker 6: dad's still getting on me if I, if my work
- 19:14Speaker 6: ethic isn't where he thinks it needs to be.
- 19:16Speaker 1: So to this day, how does your dad still measure
- 19:19Speaker 1: your work ethic in the NFL?
- 19:20Speaker 3: Oh man.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Um, so my dad is, my dad was not, is, uh,
- 19:24Speaker 6: a big power lifter growing up.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 19:27Speaker 6: And, you know, big time venture and everything like that.
- 19:29Speaker 6: So me and my brother were working out at a
- 19:31Speaker 6: young age. You know, he had us in the weight room.
- 19:34Speaker 6: And so he's still during the offseason and everything. He
- 19:37Speaker 6: has a huge part in my training and in my
- 19:39Speaker 6: workout process and everything like that. And, you know, during
- 19:42Speaker 6: the season, it gets a little harder because, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 6: so we're busy. But, you know, he's making sure that
- 19:46Speaker 6: I'm staying on top of it and eating right and doing.
- 19:48Speaker 3: All that stuff.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You guys competing for squat max.
- 19:51Speaker 6: And bench max? No, my dad doesn't lift as much anymore.
- 19:57Speaker 6: He says his workout is putting the weights off and
- 19:58Speaker 6: taking the weights off.
- 20:00Speaker 3: That's what he says his workouts are.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Your parents have been there every step of the way.
- 20:04Speaker 1: They took you to Bills games as a kid. They
- 20:07Speaker 1: watched you try out for this team. Now they've watched
- 20:09Speaker 1: you on the field. What do they tell you about
- 20:14Speaker 1: your dreams coming true?
- 20:16Speaker 6: Uh, I think, um, you know, it's just something, I
- 20:21Speaker 6: don't even know if I can put into words, you know, it's, uh,
- 20:25Speaker 6: it makes me so happy. Cause I know how happy
- 20:27Speaker 6: it makes them. Uh, because kind of, like I said,
- 20:30Speaker 6: from a young age, you know, how much they put
- 20:32Speaker 6: into it. It's like, you know, it's not like me
- 20:34Speaker 6: accomplishing this dream. It's like, we accomplished the dream together
- 20:36Speaker 6: kind of in a way. And, um, you know, I
- 20:40Speaker 6: know my, my dad loves, you know, just like going
- 20:43Speaker 6: out and talking football and, you know, knowing that, you know,
- 20:46Speaker 6: I am where I am, you know, with, with his friends,
- 20:48Speaker 6: wherever it may be.
- 20:49Speaker 1: So, uh, yeah, it's just, he sounds like the most
- 20:52Speaker 1: proud dad ever. Like my kid, Joe Andreessen.
- 20:56Speaker 3: And, um, you know, it's, it's awesome.
- 20:59Speaker 6: And it's like, it was like, it was, it was
- 21:02Speaker 6: put into place at a very, um, early stage in
- 21:06Speaker 6: my life. And it's like, it all came to fruition. And, uh,
- 21:09Speaker 6: you know, like I said, my dad, you know, wants
- 21:11Speaker 6: even more. And so we're still, still pushing to make
- 21:13Speaker 6: more things happen.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I love that. Keep it in the family there.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Joe, you're a well-respected special teamer because of your physicality.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You also have a nose for the football. What does
- 21:22Speaker 1: it require to be an elite special teamer?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Um, so I got to first, again, I want to
- 21:28Speaker 6: give credit to coach Smiley and coach Hark, my rookie year, um,
- 21:33Speaker 6: our special teams coaches, uh, you know, they made a
- 21:36Speaker 6: huge emphasis, which I think everyone kind of kinds of
- 21:38Speaker 6: know coming in as a rookie, especially an undrafted rookie.
- 21:41Speaker 6: or maybe like if you're not a super high round
- 21:43Speaker 6: draft pick that, you know, special teams is a great
- 21:45Speaker 6: way to make the team first off and to, you know,
- 21:49Speaker 6: kind of set yourself up in the league. So, but they,
- 21:53Speaker 6: my coaches, my rookie year made an even bigger emphasis
- 21:56Speaker 6: on it. And, you know, they had us doing all
- 21:58Speaker 6: the rookies before and after practice, extra drills, because they
- 22:01Speaker 6: knew if our time was to come that on the
- 22:04Speaker 6: field that they wanted to be able to trust us. And,
- 22:07Speaker 6: you know, I think that was a huge part in
- 22:08Speaker 6: my success. You know, I remember going out there and,
- 22:13Speaker 6: you know, just feeling super comfortable because of that work
- 22:15Speaker 6: that we put in with them.
- 22:17Speaker 3: So I got to give all the credit to them.
- 22:18Speaker 6: And I mean, now it's just kind of more of
- 22:21Speaker 6: a mentality and confidence that I have when I go
- 22:24Speaker 6: out there and feel like, you know, a top special
- 22:28Speaker 6: team in this league.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I'm trying to be the best special team every time
- 22:30Speaker 3: I go out there.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You can see that confidence on the field. You're a
- 22:33Speaker 1: sure tackler. I mean, you're physical when you take guys
- 22:36Speaker 1: down on special teams. what have you done to perfect
- 22:39Speaker 1: your technique over the last couple of years?
- 22:42Speaker 6: I think another great point is, so I'm going on
- 22:44Speaker 6: to my third special teams coach this year, uh, coach.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Rogers, and we had a taper last year.
- 22:49Speaker 6: So I I've had, you know, a bunch of different
- 22:52Speaker 6: special teams coaches who had different views and I'm trying
- 22:55Speaker 6: to take, uh, something from every single one of them and,
- 22:59Speaker 6: you know, trying to fit it to my game.
- 23:01Speaker 3: And, uh, you know, I think, I have all the
- 23:03Speaker 3: talent in the world.
- 23:04Speaker 6: It's just going out there and, uh, being able to
- 23:06Speaker 6: put it on the field and using my technique and, uh,
- 23:09Speaker 6: you know, being in the right spot at the right time,
- 23:10Speaker 6: a little bit of luck, I think goes into it
- 23:12Speaker 6: as well.
- 23:12Speaker 1: So was there one coach who you really took a
- 23:15Speaker 1: lot from in terms of technique?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Um, I think a little bit, uh, from everybody.
- 23:21Speaker 6: I remember, uh, I think tape tapes last year helped
- 23:24Speaker 6: me a ton on kickoff and, uh, you know, helped
- 23:28Speaker 6: me excel at kickoff and made me a great special,
- 23:30Speaker 6: special teams player there. Uh, just, the way he schemed
- 23:33Speaker 6: it and, uh, you know, his love for it. And
- 23:37Speaker 6: I feel like I've always been a good blocker and stuff.
- 23:40Speaker 6: So that kind of helps, um, you know, I blocked
- 23:42Speaker 6: a lot in high school and stuff like that. So
- 23:44Speaker 6: I think it's just, uh, you know, trying to perfect
- 23:46Speaker 6: it from every day.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Buffalo Joe is your nickname. One of the best nicknames
- 23:51Speaker 1: on the team. Who was the first person to call
- 23:53Speaker 1: you Buffalo Joe?
- 23:54Speaker 3: Oh man, geez. I feel so long ago. Uh, so,
- 23:58Speaker 3: I don't know. I guess, I guess the story is
- 24:00Speaker 3: that like Josh said it after.
- 24:02Speaker 6: The, after the one preseason game that I had a
- 24:05Speaker 6: good game and mentioned that my name was Buffalo Joe.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I really think.
- 24:11Speaker 6: My linebacker coach, my first two years, Al Holcomb, he
- 24:14Speaker 6: would call me Buffalo, just Buffalo all the time. So
- 24:18Speaker 6: I think Al would probably be like the first guy
- 24:20Speaker 6: that just to call me like Buffalo. And then suppose
- 24:24Speaker 6: I've never even seen the interview, but people said that
- 24:26Speaker 6: Josh called me.
- 24:28Speaker 3: After the game.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 6: And, uh, once he said that, I think everyone just
- 24:33Speaker 6: calls me Buffalo Joe now around the building.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Uh, it's just Buffalo, Buffalo Joe.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I mean, how cool is it that you have your
- 24:39Speaker 1: town in front of your first name and that's what
- 24:41Speaker 1: you're called in this building?
- 24:42Speaker 3: It is cool. It is cool.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Um, I think, I think about that, uh, you know,
- 24:46Speaker 6: when people, um, outside the building call me Buffalo Joe,
- 24:49Speaker 6: it's like just to be associated where I grew up and, uh,
- 24:52Speaker 6: You know, it's an honor.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You're called that on like national broadcasts too. Everybody knows
- 24:58Speaker 1: you as Buffalo Joe. I mean, being from this area,
- 25:02Speaker 1: watching the Bills growing up, going to games, your parents
- 25:05Speaker 1: going to games as well. The Andreessen family must have
- 25:09Speaker 1: some really cool vintage Bills gear.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 1: So what's at home? What's in the closet? What are
- 25:14Speaker 1: the collectibles?
- 25:15Speaker 6: I think it makes me, not mad, but my grandpa, Jack,
- 25:20Speaker 6: so my mom's dad, he had all like the starter
- 25:23Speaker 6: jackets and cause he was like a big, like jacket guy.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Uh, he smoked cigarettes. So like, you know, he needed,
- 25:28Speaker 3: he needed all the, all the jackets to go out there. But, um,
- 25:32Speaker 3: you know, I don't think we have them anymore.
- 25:34Speaker 6: All the starter jackets and you know, like those are like,
- 25:36Speaker 6: you know, you go like thrift shopping or antique, whatever
- 25:39Speaker 6: you want to say, hunting and you know, they go
- 25:41Speaker 6: for a lot of money, you know, it's a, it's
- 25:42Speaker 6: hard to find them in good condition and stuff. But
- 25:44Speaker 6: I remember he had all of them and yeah, we
- 25:47Speaker 6: have a bunch of, uh, a bunch of jerseys and stuff. I, um,
- 25:50Speaker 6: I remember like Marshawn Lynch, CJ Spiller, uh, Lee Evans,
- 25:54Speaker 6: all those guys, um, from me and my brother when
- 25:56Speaker 6: we were young.
- 25:57Speaker 1: The bills announced that Kenny Chesney is coming to Highmark stadium.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I believe that's one of your favorite artists.
- 26:02Speaker 2: It is.
- 26:03Speaker 1: This is going to be like the best day ever.
- 26:05Speaker 1: You get to go watch Kenny Chesney in a Highmark
- 26:07Speaker 1: stadium this summer.
- 26:08Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 26:09Speaker 6: So my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, and we
- 26:13Speaker 6: already have tickets and me and my fiance, we already
- 26:15Speaker 6: have tickets to go to it.
- 26:17Speaker 3: So, uh, uh, yeah, we, we love Kenny Chesney. Um,
- 26:20Speaker 3: The good stuff is probably my favorite song.
- 26:22Speaker 5: Okay.
- 26:22Speaker 1: That's what I was going to ask. Have you seen
- 26:24Speaker 1: him in concert before?
- 26:25Speaker 3: I have not. Wow. My brother has.
- 26:28Speaker 6: So, cause he does stadiums like usually, and I just
- 26:32Speaker 6: haven't been able to, I just hasn't lined up.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Well, this is the best way that it's going to
- 26:36Speaker 1: line up.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Let's finish off with some rapid fire questions. It's one
- 26:40Speaker 1: thing that people don't know about Buffalo Joe.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I'm a big card collector. Collect. I have a big
- 26:46Speaker 3: card collection.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Best card you own.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Oh, best card. I own like most expensive or like.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Most expensive and then most obscure.
- 26:54Speaker 6: Um, so I have an Aaron judge, very expensive card, uh,
- 26:59Speaker 6: rookie auto. That's a very expensive card that I have.
- 27:01Speaker 6: And then most obscure, probably the one that like means
- 27:05Speaker 6: the most to me, uh, is a Tom Brady. I
- 27:08Speaker 6: know it's Tom Brady, but a Tom Brady, it's like
- 27:10Speaker 6: a bone. It's like him playing baseball. And I actually
- 27:13Speaker 6: opened that. It was a very expensive box when I
- 27:16Speaker 6: made the team, my rookie year.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Oh, that's cool.
- 27:18Speaker 6: That was, like, you know, I kind of remember, like,
- 27:20Speaker 6: telling myself, if I make the team, I'm going to
- 27:22Speaker 6: buy this box. You know, it's, like, a $ 1, 000 box, like,
- 27:25Speaker 6: a lot of money. And if I made the team,
- 27:28Speaker 6: I'm going to buy this box, made the team, bought
- 27:29Speaker 6: the box, and I pulled that. And it's, like, one of, like,
- 27:31Speaker 6: the chase cards in it. So that card has a
- 27:34Speaker 6: special place in my heart.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Very cool. What's the most unique part of your game
- 27:38Speaker 1: day routine?
- 27:39Speaker 6: Most unique part? I'm not too crazy. I think I
- 27:43Speaker 6: drink about, like, Three, four cups of coffee before the game.
- 27:47Speaker 6: I drank a lot of coffee before the game, caffeinated up.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Get ready to roll. How do you celebrate after a win?
- 27:54Speaker 1: What do you do for yourself?
- 27:57Speaker 3: For home, well, for away games, there's nothing. You kind
- 28:00Speaker 3: of get on the plane, come back.
- 28:01Speaker 6: For home games, usually me and the girl grab dinner
- 28:06Speaker 6: and go back and watch a movie.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Nothing too exciting.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Treat yourself.
- 28:12Speaker 3: A little downtime, but yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Since you're from Buffalo, you know all the great food spots.
- 28:18Speaker 1: What is your favorite food item in Buffalo? This could
- 28:21Speaker 1: be something you order from a restaurant. This could be
- 28:25Speaker 1: an item in a grocery store.
- 28:27Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Well, I love, I'm just going to say, I love scoops,
- 28:34Speaker 6: Carolina gold wings. Those are like my favorite wings. And
- 28:38Speaker 6: I also love, we go to Wu Chong's in, it's
- 28:42Speaker 6: like the Amherst area.
- 28:43Speaker 3: I don't know specifically.
- 28:45Speaker 6: And I'm Korean, so we get bulgogi from there. And
- 28:49Speaker 6: it's like a big Korean dish. And that's probably my
- 28:51Speaker 6: favorite food, I'd say.
- 28:52Speaker 1: That's awesome. Appreciate it, Joe. Thanks for coming on, talking
- 28:55Speaker 1: contract extension.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 28:57Speaker 1: And everything you've done here over the last couple of years.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 28:59Speaker 1: All right, Ray, we're back with some more. We got
- 29:02Speaker 1: to go over the best looks from a week five
- 29:05Speaker 1: game in L.A. You're in L.A., so you got to
- 29:08Speaker 1: bring the looks. Who stood out in your eyes?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Oh, best fit, fit, check. I'm going to have to
- 29:15Speaker 2: go IGB. IGB kind of had this all black fit on.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I liked it. It had some writing on it.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I don't know what the writing said. It said Dior
- 29:23Speaker 1: for my friends or something like that. So I think
- 29:25Speaker 1: it was a Dior shirt.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Okay.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'm all about the Dior brand.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He has the black leather pants. And I believe the
- 29:32Speaker 1: belt was Kith. It looks like it said Kith. But
- 29:37Speaker 1: I also cannot exactly make out the spelling. But it looks...
- 29:40Speaker 1: like a crazy name brand.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Wow, man. Who wears some leather pants when it's 95
- 29:47Speaker 2: degrees to 100 degrees in LA? Somebody need to talk
- 29:50Speaker 2: to his stylist. Or if he's his own stylist.
- 29:53Speaker 1: He also had a cool necklace rocking, too, like a
- 29:56Speaker 1: silver necklace. chain i liked it it all came together
- 29:59Speaker 1: very nicely and igb gets the start in the game
- 30:02Speaker 1: as well so look good and he's on the field
- 30:05Speaker 1: making some plays too.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Well what do you know the deon sanders saying let's
- 30:11Speaker 2: see if you know you know what the look.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Good feel good feel good play good yeah i've heard
- 30:19Speaker 1: that a time or two in my day all right
- 30:21Speaker 1: who else brought the looks on monday night football.
- 30:27Speaker 2: The big, big vet, man. First, first game back in
- 30:33Speaker 2: Buffalo came out blocking it off. I got to go.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Trent Shurfield. Trent had this like baby blue one piece
- 30:43Speaker 2: set on, um, fresh cut, cut the beer down to
- 30:48Speaker 2: the gold. I was like, who is it? Did we
- 30:50Speaker 2: just sign somebody? I didn't even know who it was.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, that's Trent.
- 30:54Speaker 2: So yeah, Trent, Trent came trim. So, uh, It's a
- 30:58Speaker 2: tie really between him and IDB, but Trent goes too.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Trent looked great in that all powder blue look. Ray,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I was going through the pictures that we posted, and again,
- 31:10Speaker 1: I didn't see you in the album. Did you sneak
- 31:14Speaker 1: in the back door? What were you wearing?
- 31:19Speaker 2: I was wearing some fire fit. I think I've just
- 31:22Speaker 2: been on the Instagram too much, so they had to
- 31:25Speaker 2: give other people an opportunity because, you know, my fits
- 31:27Speaker 2: are too top tier. But I had this brand called
- 31:31Speaker 2: Almost Someday. I had a nice little cut off with
- 31:34Speaker 2: some shorts. I had some Bottega Shoes.
- 31:37Speaker 3: You know, a little watch.
- 31:38Speaker 1: The Bottega Shoes. Like that.
- 31:42Speaker 2: They didn't want to get me yesterday.
- 31:43Speaker 1: You know what? Next time I'm going to have to
- 31:45Speaker 1: call our photographers and be like, hey, you guys need
- 31:48Speaker 1: to get Ray because we got to talk about this fit.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You know, I'm thinking you're out in L.A. Are you
- 31:52Speaker 1: going to do any shopping?
- 31:53Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure my financial advisor would hate that if
- 32:00Speaker 2: I went shopping. So, no, I will not go shopping. No, yes, no.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Okay, I can't wait to see what you buy. Okay,
- 32:11Speaker 1: let's finish it off with some fan questions. Our first
- 32:14Speaker 1: one is from Edith. She wants to know, Ray, if
- 32:17Speaker 1: you need a little pick-me-up, which teammate are you calling first?
- 32:22Speaker 2: I'm going to have to stay in the running back room,
- 32:25Speaker 2: but he's not on the team anymore, but he's very
- 32:29Speaker 2: important to me. Darrington Evans. I will always call it D-Ev.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Great vet, great guy that just talked to a bit
- 32:38Speaker 2: in the league for a while. He's a been through
- 32:40Speaker 2: a lot of things from practice squad active cut etc
- 32:43Speaker 2: etc so talking to him has been very very big
- 32:46Speaker 2: for me um outside of that ty ty is a
- 32:50Speaker 2: huge person i talked to and then the kentucky boys
- 32:53Speaker 2: you know but they they're they're still young so like
- 32:55Speaker 2: i don't really go to them for advice they they
- 32:58Speaker 2: more come to me for advice but i just talked to.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Them about a lot of that's awesome to see that
- 33:02Speaker 1: you speak to a guy like durrington evans who you
- 33:05Speaker 1: know He was on this team for a little while,
- 33:07Speaker 1: and like you said, has been around the NFL and
- 33:10Speaker 1: also now getting into coaching. So good for him. And, yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Ty Johnson, of course, too. Our last question is from Wilkins.
- 33:19Speaker 1: He says, how do you find the balance between sharpening
- 33:21Speaker 1: your skills and evolving as a player?
- 33:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I think that's a great question because how I look
- 33:32Speaker 2: at it, It's a different way for me because when
- 33:38Speaker 2: you sharpen your skills, I kind of relate that to practice. Like,
- 33:41Speaker 2: what are you doing on the field, right? Like, are
- 33:43Speaker 2: you getting better at pass pro, jump cuts, catching balls
- 33:46Speaker 2: after practice? You know, that's more on the field part
- 33:50Speaker 2: of it. And then I think what was the second
- 33:51Speaker 2: part of it?
- 33:52Speaker 1: Evolving as a player.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Um, and I think that's more off the field, right? Like,
- 33:58Speaker 2: what are you doing to your body?
- 33:59Speaker 7: Right?
- 33:59Speaker 2: Like, are we taking care of your body? Are we
- 34:01Speaker 2: making sure you're getting treatment, the massages and all those things?
- 34:06Speaker 2: And then what are you doing in the film room?
- 34:07Speaker 2: How are you evolving as a player in terms of
- 34:11Speaker 2: being able to learn coverages, learn blitz patterns, learning base
- 34:15Speaker 2: and nickel dime, like a lot of different formations that, um,
- 34:20Speaker 2: the defense can give you. So, um, Those are kind
- 34:24Speaker 2: of the ways that I kind of really pick apart
- 34:29Speaker 2: of like, okay, I'm getting better on the field, but
- 34:31Speaker 2: I'm also getting better as a player because I'm learning
- 34:34Speaker 2: the IQ of the game, not just the physical part,
- 34:37Speaker 2: but the mental part, the verbal and all things like that.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, you got to do both. You got
- 34:41Speaker 1: to sharpen those skills and you have to evolve. So
- 34:44Speaker 1: it's probably a balance that might be easy sometimes and
- 34:47Speaker 1: hard in other weeks when you feel like you have
- 34:50Speaker 1: to focus on one thing more than another. But Ray...
- 34:53Speaker 1: Thanks for the time. Thanks for taking part of your
- 34:57Speaker 1: off day in LA to come and do the podcast.
- 35:01Speaker 1: We appreciate it. You make this podcast sing and shine.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I feel lucky to have you as my co-host. And
- 35:06Speaker 1: it was so awesome watching you ball out there against
- 35:09Speaker 1: the Rams. Big things against the Raiders, my man.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, tell everybody that's listening to this, tell the.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Raiders to kick it to me.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Kick the ball to Ray Davis.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Probably a great idea. You should just have like a
- 35:22Speaker 1: wig on or something. Change your jersey number so it's like,
- 35:25Speaker 1: who is that guy out there? I'm just kidding.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they will kick it to me, but I
- 35:31Speaker 2: do appreciate you, Maddie. I love this podcast. I love
- 35:35Speaker 2: everybody that's a part of it. It's kind of like
- 35:38Speaker 2: special teams to me in a way. Like everybody does
- 35:40Speaker 2: their part, and when everybody does their part, We got
- 35:44Speaker 2: a kickoff return touchdown. So shout out to everybody that's
- 35:46Speaker 2: a part of this.
- 35:46Speaker 1: We're getting the kickoff return touchdown this year. I'm putting
- 35:50Speaker 1: it out there. It's going to happen, right? We will.
- 35:53Speaker 5: We will.
- 35:53Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Appreciate it. Enjoy LA, and we'll see you back here
- 35:57Speaker 1: next week.
