- 0:21Welcome to Rogers for America.
- 0:24Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for joining me today.
- 0:27Well, as I quite often share with you, you never know where you're going to wake up to.
- 0:32And as each day passes by, it appears that more and more violence is spreading across our country.
- 0:40If they're not rioting for this reason, they're writing for that reason.
- 0:44If they're not writing for that reason, they're rioting to this reason.
- 0:48We have a few situations here in America that are truly, truly exploding.
- 0:53And it's not getting any better.
- 0:56The topic I'm talking about is the controversy regarding the position and the tactics that ICE has been using in order to round up illegal criminal aliens.
- 1:11Now, those are the words of the left.
- 1:15Those are the words of the anti-ICE people.
- 1:18Those are the words of those who are absolutely positively without any doubt opposed to any federal intervention in their towns, cities, or states across this nation.
- 1:31They're the ones who talk about, well, you know, it's ICE who's the enemy.
- 1:37It's the law enforcement officers who are causing the trouble.
- 1:41It is the president of the United States of America who has been creating an atmosphere of division.
- 1:48Really, folks, do you really believe that?
- 1:52Sooner or later, many have predicted, including myself, that there would be an unintended consequence that would be led to a tragedy, and that tragedy would lead to what we're facing today.
- 2:08Unrest, rioting, and in many, many cases, people across the country being victimized by those in this country who hate us.
- 2:19That's right, Americans who hate America, because that's what it boils down to.
- 2:25Now, I've been on the airwaves for the past few weeks, discussing with many, many people, the incident that happened in Minneapolis.
- 2:35And I gotta tell you, you look at the videotape over and over and over again, you can only come to one conclusion.
- 2:43That the ICE agent was doing his job.
- 2:46And in his mind, he believed that he was going to be run over by a car.
- 2:53Which, by the way, in my view, turned into a deadly weapon by its driver.
- 3:00Who created that problem?
- 3:02Who created that very, very tragic incident?
- 3:06You have people on television and radio and talking to the newsprint media that it is the ICE agent.
- 3:11It is the police that is creating the problem.
- 3:15So you have an incident where a woman is allegedly on the street, causing havoc, causing chaos, yelling and screaming all kinds of things, according to certain reports, gets in her car.
- 3:29We know she got her car, we saw that.
- 3:32And instead of complying with the police to get out of the car, she begins to resist.
- 3:40Haven't we said over and over and over again, none of these incidents would happen if the individuals who are being told by the police to get out of the car if those individuals simply complied.
- 3:53Why is it so hard to comply with a lawful order?
- 3:58The police are doing their job.
- 4:02But these people aren't there to help the police.
- 4:06They're not there to help our country.
- 4:08In my view, they're here to hurt this country.
- 4:11They're there to make a political statement that they hate America.
- 4:16Now, they'll argue that point.
- 4:18Oh, we love our country.
- 4:19If we didn't love our country, we wouldn't be out here protesting.
- 4:22If you loved your country, you would not be out there violently protesting, agitating police officers and innocent people.
- 4:32And unfortunately, in this particular incident in Minneapolis, woman's in a car, she decides not to comply, not at all to comply with the lawful orders of the police.
- 4:45And after she doesn't comply, uh you could see a police officer near her window.
- 4:51Uh, you see one uh pretty much near the front of her car, and you see others just about uh almost trying to surround her to get her out.
- 4:59And what does she decide to do?
- 5:01Instead of applying the brakes, right?
- 5:04She could have done that.
- 5:05We all see that she didn't uh uh uh apply the brakes, folks.
- 5:09What she did was put the car in gear and began to drive away.
- 5:15And there were police officers, I believe they were ICE agents on the side of her vehicle.
- 5:20I believe there was one officer on the side of the vehicle who I who I saw, who I looked at and thought, gee, this guy, you know, he's lucky he didn't get run over.
- 5:29And sure enough, a cop did get run over, and can you deny that that cop got ran over?
- 5:36I mean, you saw what I saw, right?
- 5:39So she decides to move forward.
- 5:41Of course, the uh left and others are arguing, well, she was trying to get away.
- 5:46Uh she didn't intend to kill anyone, she didn't intend to run anybody over.
- 5:50Well, you know what?
- 5:51Let's let's give her that.
- 5:52Let's say, well, maybe she didn't intend to intend to do that, but she did.
- 5:56She was reckless.
- 5:58So you got the left and those uh screaming, by the way, the armed trail generals, I call them.
- 6:03I call them the uh the expert police officers that get on the air and uh begin to argue against the cops.
- 6:11There was some sheriff out there in uh Minnesota who I believe is running for governor.
- 6:16I forgot his name, or I'd give it to you.
- 6:19I was appalled at this guy's statements on TV.
- 6:22As if he was there, as if he was actually there.
- 6:25He was able to tell us exactly what happened from A to Z.
- 6:29Was he in the mind of the officer?
- 6:31You get the sheriff on there defending the woman and condemning the cop.
- 6:37And then the cop is the sheriff's on the air talking about, well, I would have done this, I would have done that.
- 6:43Really, you would have done all these things in a split second.
- 6:47You don't know, folks, how I wish I could have jumped through the TV tube and just get on the air on that CNN network, which we'll talk about some other time, and debate that sheriff.
- 7:00What an embarrassment to law enforcement.
- 7:03But see, it's people like him who get on the air and then plant a lot of negative seeds in the minds of people, and then it inflames people.
- 7:13It actually brings people to a point where they become emboldened to go out and commit more criminal acts.
- 7:22So look at you saw what I saw, many of you listening may disagree, but I believe that that officer did everything in his power to prevent himself from being killed by an automobile, driven by the woman.
- 7:36Now, the woman who was killed, I agree, tragic.
- 7:40Tragic, folks.
- 7:41I mean, I I I pray for her family, she had a kid.
- 7:44I mean, all these things, very tragic, and and I just hope and pray to God that some way down the road the family will recover.
- 7:52But it was a tragic incident.
- 7:54How do you think the officer felt when it was all over?
- 7:59You think he was having a party?
- 8:01You think he was uh having some sort of a parade over the fact that he unfortunately shot and killed someone?
- 8:09That is the worst nightmare for a police officer.
- 8:12The worst nightmare is to take a life.
- 8:16But he did his job in his mind, and what I from what I saw, I would agree with him, his life and the life of others would be in danger.
- 8:25Now you hear these people say, well, you know, she she was trying to escape.
- 8:29Escape, nearly running over a couple of cops.
- 8:32So the cops are just to let her go.
- 8:34You go ahead, you go ahead, lady, you go speed down the street, don't worry about it.
- 8:38When police officers have done that in the past, usually the person in the car is losing control of their car and ran runs into somebody else and kills them or seriously injures them.
- 8:51You see, that's what you're not being told.
- 8:53That's what nobody's being told.
- 8:55So all the experts are on there, and they're saying, well, you know, what he did was illegally, and by the way, ICE is in the city of Minneapolis, um Minnesota illegally.
- 9:05Out of the state, says the mayor, the foul filthy mouth of that guy, the mayor of the city, using the language he did.
- 9:12My goodness, Mr.
- 9:13Mayor, children are watching television.
- 9:16You're the type of leader we need to keep our kids away from.
- 9:19That's right.
- 9:20The mayor of Minneapolis, I forget his name, Fry or something like that.
- 9:25He needs to be completely and totally without any question, defeated in the next election.
- 9:31If the people of Minneapolis smart enough.
- 9:34Hey, for all we know, he may be tied up in some of this scandal going on in that uh state.
- 9:40But the governor, right?
- 9:41What a governor that is.
- 9:43There's a guy that uh, I'll tell you, imagine all this scandal, all this uh corruption, fraud, waste going on, and he didn't know anything about it.
- 9:54The mayor, maybe he didn't know anything about it, maybe he did.
- 9:58Now, there are reports.
- 10:00That he, the mayor of Minneapolis, and the governor are not running for re-election.
- 10:05I wonder why.
- 10:07Hmm.
- 10:07That's something really to ponder.
- 10:09You gotta wonder why.
- 10:12But getting back to this incident, it'll go to a grand jury.
- 10:17And hopefully they'll use their heads and say, look, there's nothing here that that no criminal act that this cop committed.
- 10:24He actually believed in his mind, in his heart, his soul, in his spirit, that he was going to die.
- 10:31And he took the action necessary to protect himself and others.
- 10:35What would you do?
- 10:36That's what these people should be asked on a grand jury.
- 10:40What would you do in a split second?
- 10:42What would you do if you believed or saw a car coming towards you?
- 10:48And the driver of that car prior to that was helping cause chaos in the streets, according to a lot of reports, and then deciding not to comply and simply drive away.
- 11:04Tragic incident that should have never occurred.
- 11:06The officer did not cause that incident.
- 11:10ICE did not cause that incident.
- 11:12President Trump did not cause that incident.
- 11:15The woman driving the car caused that incident and the conditions that existed for that officer to fire that shot.
- 11:26Any argument with that, folks?
- 11:28Any argument at all?
- 11:30I don't see an argument.
- 11:32But let's see where all this ends up.
- 11:36We got to hope and pray to God that it doesn't end up before a group of liberals, liberal judges, because if it does, it's probably gonna end up in the Supreme Court, and I don't know what's gonna happen to this officer.
- 11:48So we need to pray for him.
- 11:50We need to pray for him.
- 11:52And as I said all along, what we need to do is to put term limits on some of these uh judges and these mayors and these governors that don't have term limits, they need term limits.
- 12:02We they gotta, they gotta, they gotta go.
- 12:04I mean, they they they gotta go.
- 12:06Some of the decisions that have come down from the courts and the parole boards and others, I also said that they should be held accountable.
- 12:14You know, these are the people talking about accountability.
- 12:17Well, if you release somebody, judge, and that somebody goes out and kills somebody else, you should be held accountable for that.
- 12:25So maybe immunity for judges, that ought to go away.
- 12:30Maybe immunity for parole board officers, all right.
- 12:35Uh, that ought to go away.
- 12:37Hmm.
- 12:38That's something they would never want to see happen, right?
- 12:42Because if it happened, they would have to really be fair.
- 12:46That's the way I feel about it.
- 12:48I don't know how you feel about it, folks, but I do.
- 12:51And yeah, I'm a little riled up over it.
- 12:53You know, you get sick and tired of seeing and hearing the same old story over and over and over again.
- 12:58I'll tell you, it's it's just unbelievable.
- 13:01But this is part of life now in the 21st century in the year 2026.
- 13:06We all have to live with it, but we don't have, we all don't have to tolerate it.
- 13:12And I've said all along, people could rally.
- 13:15Let me tell you something.
- 13:16Politicians don't care about rallies.
- 13:18They can care less.
- 13:20We could write letters, they don't care.
- 13:22Believe me, I know a lot of them, they just throw the stuff in the trash, they watch a rally, they say, that's gonna go away in about a week, maybe even a month, but by the time election day comes, it'll go away.
- 13:34They don't care what you have to say, other than the day that you go in to the voting booth, or you plan you uh cast your ballot by mail.
- 13:47They don't care about anything but that day.
- 13:51And leading up to that day, believe me, the photo ops, they'll tell you what you want to hear, they'll jump through hoops to get your vote because they know if they don't jump through those hoops and don't tell you what you want to hear, even if it's a lie, even it's there to deceive you, you won't vote for them.
- 14:12I've seen it over, over and over again.
- 14:17And I've seen it in a lot of states.
- 14:18In New Jersey, I've seen it.
- 14:20We just had a gubernatorial race, state assembly race, right?
- 14:24And uh, it is uh the majority of the Democrat Party under Phil Murphy, the former mayor, decimated this state.
- 14:32Our taxes are, I believe, one of some of the highest in the country.
- 14:36I mean, sales taxes high, gas taxes high.
- 14:39I mean, they they do all kinds of crazy stuff here, probably in other states.
- 14:43They spend our money like it's water.
- 14:45Gas, electric, it's just completely out of control.
- 14:48And for four years, people were whining, complaining, oh, I can't live here anymore.
- 14:53I can't afford food, I can't pay my mortgage, I can't do this, can't do that.
- 14:58But election day is coming.
- 14:59It's coming, and we're going to make change.
- 15:02So you hear that for four years.
- 15:04And over the four-year period, they're still, they the people are still paying a heavy price.
- 15:11But here's election day.
- 15:13Boy, are we ready?
- 15:14All right, election day comes.
- 15:16The election day comes and the election day goes.
- 15:19And guess who gets re-elected?
- 15:22The very people who are picking your pockets.
- 15:27The very people picking your pockets.
- 15:29What do you think of that?
- 15:30What in the world are they?
- 15:32I mean, it goes on everywhere.
- 15:34It's the same thing may happen in Minneapolis.
- 15:36They'll be whining, they'll be crying, they'll be, oh, they're thieves, they're crooks, they're this, they're that.
- 15:42And if they decide to run for re-election, they're gonna be your next mayor again.
- 15:47They're gonna be your next governor again.
- 15:51And on and on and on.
- 15:53Yeah, you know what I'm talking about, and you know I'm telling you the truth.
- 15:57That's what happens in the United States of America, because unfortunately, sadly to say, not like years ago when people got involved and they were very concerned about their quality of life.
- 16:11People today are so apathetic that a horse could run for office and get elected.
- 16:19In fact, no kidding now, I read a story some time ago where an individual, I believe it was in Texas, was running for office, and they could never find the individual.
- 16:31Just put press releases out, name, what his positions were, on and on and on, regular campaign, right?
- 16:39And then election day came, election day went, the guy got elected.
- 16:43So finally, finally, the guy produced himself.
- 16:49He was walking down a street near a farm with a horse.
- 16:55And he had called for a press conference.
- 16:57And some of the reporters allegedly went to the press conference to finally interview this guy, this mystery man.
- 17:05He comes to the mic and he introduces not himself, but the candidate, the horse.
- 17:14That's a true story, folks.
- 17:16I read about that a few years ago, and uh I didn't believe it until I did a little bit more research in it and said, could you imagine?
- 17:24That was an American citizen trying to prove a point.
- 17:28Trying to prove a point.
- 17:30But the fact of the matter is that that's a story about apathy.
- 17:35It's a story about people don't care.
- 17:37It's a story about people who just simply will follow anybody who promises them anything.
- 17:45Like they have, had taken place in the city of New York, right?
- 17:50I just mentioned that before.
- 17:52We have a socialist communist who is now mayor of the city of New York.
- 17:59And I understand this guy is now going in and out of court like a revolving door.
- 18:04We're going to tax white people.
- 18:06So he allegedly said, it was reported, whether he said it or not, I don't trust the press.
- 18:10Whether he said it in those terms or not, I'm always going to say allegedly, because I don't even trust the press.
- 18:16They like to fire people up on both sides.
- 18:19But I have had read reports where he's going after very wealthy people, very rich people.
- 18:25And people who are not rich are applauding him.
- 18:28Good.
- 18:29Get those rich people.
- 18:31Get into their bank accounts.
- 18:33Let them pay my way, not just their way.
- 18:38Free buses, free lunch, free breakfast, free rent, get a load of that, folks.
- 18:44Free housing, free education.
- 18:46Who's going to pay for it?
- 18:47Well, the rich people are going to pay for it.
- 18:50Now, what we're finding out is that, not hundreds, but thousands of wealthy people in New York are leaving the city.
- 18:58The tax base is going to be crushed.
- 19:00There's going to be nothing left in the treasury.
- 19:03Where's he going to get the money?
- 19:04Governor Hochel, governor of New York, has stated she ain't sending him the money.
- 19:10President Trump's not sending him the money.
- 19:12So where's he going to get all that money to pay for everything he promised the people?
- 19:18The people need to understand that they're not going to get what he promised because he ain't getting the money.
- 19:24But he got elected.
- 19:25Got to give the guy credit.
- 19:27He got elected.
- 19:29He's on this bandwagon of pretty much disbanding the police.
- 19:35Mental health workers will respond to domestic violence crimes where criminal acts will come out of an argument to the point where people could be murdered.
- 19:45But we're not going to send cops who have the weapons that they may need to defend life in limb.
- 19:52They're going to send mental health therapists with pens, papers, and maybe even recorders.
- 19:58And they'll be able to.
- 20:00Confront a violent, violent husband or a violent, violent wife with a gun or a knife, and calm that person down.
- 20:06That's what's gonna happen.
- 20:08We're just gonna calm them down.
- 20:09We are gonna de-escalate.
- 20:12I've been the hundreds of domestic violence calls.
- 20:16Many of them became violent.
- 20:18And there was no way that the greatest therapist on earth would be calming down, someone full of hate and rage.
- 20:26But that's what the mayor of New York's doing.
- 20:29Getting back to my point.
- 20:32The people of New York elected him.
- 20:35They had a chance to vote for a Republican.
- 20:38They had a chance to vote for a Democrat conservative.
- 20:41I think Cuomo is liberal, but I, you know, I don't believe he's so far gone that he would be a socialist or communist like this other guy.
- 20:50You would rather have Cuomo than have this guy.
- 20:54I'd rather have a Republican in office.
- 20:55I think it was Curtis Slee, who I know I don't think he was qualified at all to be mayor, but I'd rather have him in office, and maybe people like Giuliani would jump in and help him out.
- 21:07But the people decided to elect this guy to office.
- 21:16So that's what we have, folks.
- 21:18That is exactly what we have.
- 21:20That's what they're facing in the city of New York.
- 21:24And on top of all that, there is a war going on.
- 21:27And it is the war on drugs.
- 21:30Now, there's a war going on, and and it's been going on for many, many years.
- 21:35Recent studies reveal, folks, that over 649,000 people, aged 18 to 64, died from a drug overdose here in the United States of America.
- 21:47In the United States, folks, we spent just alone in the war on drugs, over two trillion dollars in the year 2023 alone.
- 21:58Imagine what it is now.
- 22:01Now, as we're fighting this war on drugs, are we really really at least I should say, do we really believe we're winning the war on drugs?
- 22:12Over the years, the government provided free needles for drug users, spending billions on failed anti-drug programs like their and all kinds of other so-called drug education programs for children in schools, providing chemicals to destroy drugs in foreign countries like Cambodia, and then arresting drug addicts and drug dealers, only to see them get released by the courts to go out and do what?
- 22:39To get on the front lines with the drug war.
- 22:43In five decades, get a load of this.
- 22:46Five decades since President Richard Nixon declared their war on drugs.
- 22:50We have not won one battle.
- 22:52In fact, we were never winning the war on drugs.
- 22:55We lost that war a long time ago.
- 22:58Now, what has been reported by the mainstream media and others are the ongoing debates between politicians on local, state, and federal levels about what?
- 23:07Get a load of this, folks, about the legality of United States military forces being used to take down the drug lords who have been responsible for millions of American deaths over several decades from the illegal and lethal drugs they have been transporting to the United States of America.
- 23:26This is not new.
- 23:28They have been, they, the drug lords, have been transporting drugs since the 1960s and 70s.
- 23:35They are the men and women who, for decades who have created this big, unbelievable problem that just won't go away in America because we have not really engaged them, the bad guys in a real war on drugs.
- 23:52And as I said, what has not been reported is the people who are actually dealing with the drugs from another perspective.
- 24:04I'm not talking about drug dealing.
- 24:06Dealing with the drugs, dealing with the drug war.
- 24:10Like cops, parents, grandparents, children, victims.
- 24:16Have you heard much from them on the mainstream media networks?
- 24:20I haven't.
- 24:22They are the men and women who for decades have been notifying parents that their child had died of a drug overdose.
- 24:29They are the men and women who have had to make notifications to a wife or husband, a child, or a family member that their mom, their dad, their brother, their sister, or whoever had died of a drug overdose.
- 24:43The victims are the parents, the sons, the daughters, and I'm sure you know many of them.
- 24:47And millions of other men, women, and children and their family members who suffered dearly for years as a result of illegal, lethal drugs being introduced into their lives.
- 24:59Not much media coverage about those people.
- 25:03Let me say this to you.
- 25:05I've served out as a police officer for 38 years in New Jersey.
- 25:09And over those four decades, I've seen nothing but talk talk talk and more talk from Washington, all the way to Main Street USA that there is a war on drugs that we need to address.
- 25:21That's right, four decades, maybe even five.
- 25:23And what was done?
- 25:25Politicians holding hearings, investigations, and eventually throwing millions of dollars into drug prevention programs that don't work, that have failed.
- 25:36So after speaking with many police officers, victims of the drug epidemic as well, I can conclude without a doubt that the debate, the debate between politicians should end, and we as a nation, not representing a political party or agenda, but representing the people of our country.
- 25:55That's you and me should fully support the U.S.
- 25:58government's actions against the drug cartel worldwide.
- 26:02And that includes in the area of Venezuela.
- 26:07Well, that's it, folks.
- 26:09That's it for today's broadcast.
- 26:11Hey, hang around.
- 26:12Come to part two, be coming up in a few minutes.
- 26:15God bless you.
- 26:16God bless the United States of America.
- 26:18And remember, a house divided cannot stand.
- 26:22We don't have to be divided.
- 26:23We can be united, but that's up to we, the people.
- 26:26See it round two.
- 26:28God bless you.
- 26:30God bless America.
- 26:32Let's get real.
- 26:33Let's get loud on America Out Loud Talk News.

- 31:01America Outloud.
- 31:19Welcome back to Rogers for America.
- 31:22This is the second half hour of a one-hour broadcast, Rogers for America.
- 31:26And thank you for joining me.
- 31:28The difference between the first half hour and this half hour is that during the first half hour, and I've explained this I know over and over again, but it's worth explaining what we're doing here because every single week we're getting new listeners.
- 31:42We're expanding our horizons.
- 31:45People are beginning to realize here at America Out Loud News that they're getting real credible, actionable, honest news.
- 31:53They know that with Rogers for America on the air, we are tackling some of these important issues and just telling it like it is.
- 32:00We're saying things that people would normally not say on the radio or on TV newscast.
- 32:08Why wouldn't they say it?
- 32:09Because they don't want to offend anybody.
- 32:11I'm not here, and I know many, many broadcasters on this network are not in the air, being concerned about offending anyone with the truth.
- 32:22That's the key.
- 32:23Tell people the truth.
- 32:25Talk with people, not to people.
- 32:28Let them know that they count.
- 32:30I want you to know that you count as a listener.
- 32:33I'm concerned about what you hear, especially what you hear out of my mouth.
- 32:38And I have to be very, very uh aware that those of us on the air, we influence a lot of people by what we say, and sometimes what we do.
- 32:50So during the first half, yep, we're going to tackle issues that are happening around the world, but during the second half, I like to tackle issues that are happening directly to you.
- 33:03That's right.
- 33:04And what resource I have with regard to this second half is not great newspapers, if there's any left, around the country, or radio or TV programs that are uh widely watched or heard, but from another place, and that's the Holy Bible, the Word of God, the living water, the fruit of the Spirit, food for your soul, not for just for your mind and not just for your uh stomach, but fruit for your soul and your spirit.
- 33:40And I like to share good news.
- 33:42That's what the Bible is.
- 33:43It's good news.
- 33:44Good news from the kingdom of heaven that will have, without a doubt, impact on you if you're willing to listen.
- 33:52Now, many individuals, in fact, I gotta tell you, maybe hundreds of individuals in my lifetime, have expressed to me their concerns regarding whether their prayers are being heard.
- 34:03Did you ever ask that question of God?
- 34:05Hey, Lord, are you hearing my prayers?
- 34:07Because I don't seem to be getting any answers here.
- 34:10Now it's not uncommon for people to report that, despite persistent and long-term prayer, and we've all been through that.
- 34:17They feel as though their request may be overlooked or unanswered by God.
- 34:23Faced with this uncertainty, and believe me, I've been there, done that.
- 34:28Some people may eventually become so discouraged, interpret the lack of a clear response from God is in fact an implicit answer that says, I don't have time for you.
- 34:40That's right, people have shared that with me.
- 34:43They become discouraged, they become upset, and then they stop praying.
- 34:47Now you may be an individual who has devoted considerable time to seeking guidance from God regarding a matter of personal significance to you.
- 34:57And now you find yourself contemplating discontinuing your prayers.
- 35:01Why?
- 35:02Because you're feeling that he isn't listening, that the Lord is not listening, that he has no time for you.
- 35:10And then you get this sense of resignation, and you give up.
- 35:29I mean, why on earth would God want to have anything to do with Steve Rogers?
- 35:35I used to say those things to him directly.
- 35:38Then I found out.
- 35:41We're all his children.
- 35:43Wouldn't you stop the world to help your child, your son, your daughter?
- 35:48Or how about your child, your mom or dad?
- 35:51Point is, wouldn't you stop everything, drop everything if a person you love, including a dog, a cat, an animal that you love, wouldn't you drop anything to save them from harm that could kill them?
- 36:07I learned that that's exactly what Jesus did.
- 36:11For all of us, no matter what sins we committed, no matter what we've done wrong, not only in the eyes of man, but in his eyes, where man will not forgive you, God does forgive you if you repent of those sins and ask him to forgive you.
- 36:29That's a prayer.
- 36:30That's right.
- 36:31That is a prayer, Lord forgive me for all my sins.
- 36:35Forgive me for ignoring you, for turning my back on you.
- 36:39Forgive me, and and and I now recognize you as my Lord and Savior as my God.
- 36:44Just like that.
- 36:44Boom.
- 36:45Just like that.
- 36:47Forgive him.
- 36:48He puts you on a new path.
- 36:49Whether you feel it or not, whether you know it or not, whether you believe it or not, you will be put on a new path.
- 36:55All you gotta do is to help yourself, make it grow, make the walks get bigger and bigger on a longer and longer road.
- 37:02And how do you do that?
- 37:04Through the word of God.
- 37:06The Bible.
- 37:07That's the word of God.
- 37:08Read those scriptures.
- 37:10Talk to people who know the Bible, a minister, a friend.
- 37:13Look, you know who's a Christian.
- 37:15You know who's faithful to Jesus Christ.
- 37:17We all do.
- 37:19Either you shy away from them or you embrace them.
- 37:23You don't have to hug them and go out with them and uh you know socialize with them, but if you want a good friend, I mean a real good friend.
- 37:34Talk to someone who knows Christ as their friend.
- 37:37Now don't trust just anybody who says that they love Christ and they walk with Christ.
- 37:42You know, you gotta test the waters.
- 37:44A lot of people out there that are false prophets.
- 37:46I want to caution you about that.
- 37:48But how do you prevent yourself from walking into that trap?
- 37:51You pray.
- 37:52Lord guide me, show me thy way, teach me thy path.
- 37:55I love that scripture.
- 37:56Show me thy way, teach me thy path.
- 38:01But what is prayer?
- 38:03People constantly ask me that question.
- 38:05What is prayer?
- 38:06Well, prayer refers to direct communication with God.
- 38:11It's not characterized by some formal script, by monologues, or repetitive phrases written on a piece of paper or contained in books, except for one specific directive from God, where prayer is very, very important in the terms that he put it, and I'll talk to you about that a little later.
- 38:30But for the most part, prayer is a conversation.
- 38:34It's a talk between you and God.
- 38:37We talk, he listens.
- 38:40We talk, he listens.
- 38:43See, like I'm talking to you, you're listening.
- 38:45Every day I talk to God.
- 38:47Early in the morning, I wake up, I'm having a cup of coffee, having a conversation with him, and then I wait.
- 38:56Here we go now.
- 38:56Listen carefully.
- 38:58I wait and wait and wait for him to talk back to me.
- 39:05Now you're thinking, did Steve Rogers lose his mind?
- 39:10No, I did not.
- 39:12It took me a long time to realize that God does in fact listen to the point where he will answer.
- 39:19And hear how he answers.
- 39:21I pray, have a sip of coffee.
- 39:24My prayer is what?
- 39:25Talking to him like I'm having a conversation with you.
- 39:27And then someone said to me a long time ago, when you're having a conversation with someone, and then you stop the conversation, your part of the conversation.
- 39:37Do you turn around and walk away?
- 39:39Or do you wait for a response?
- 39:40I said, Nah, you get I wait for a response.
- 39:42It's rude to walk away.
- 39:43Guess what?
- 39:44God, Jesus Christ is listening to you where you are.
- 39:48I don't care if you're in your car, he's in the passenger seat.
- 39:51I don't care if you're at work, he's not far away from you.
- 39:54You're never alone.
- 39:56The Holy Spirit of God is with you.
- 39:58Jesus through the Holy Spirit of God is.
- 40:00Is with you listening to every single word that comes out of your mouth.
- 40:06And why is it that you can't just wait a few minutes to keep quiet, even if you're at work behind a desk or in a car or you wait and you're alone somewhere, just wait.
- 40:16Wait for what?
- 40:18Wait for that whisper.
- 40:19You know what I'm talking about, that inner heart tug where the spirit of God is going to nudge you and gonna speak to your heart, speak to your spirit.
- 40:30Not an audible voice booming out of the heavens or an earthquake or a bolt of lightning, but you'll get the message.
- 40:38And 99.9% of the time, that message is gonna lead you to the Holy Bible, to the Word of God.
- 40:47I believe that the overwhelming majority, maybe close to 99.9% of the people in the United States have Bibles in their homes, and close to 90 point something, they haven't never opened it up.
- 41:00There it is.
- 41:02The road to salvation, the book of life, the book to prosperity.
- 41:07I'm not talking about just material prosperity.
- 41:10I'm talking about spiritual prosperity.
- 41:14When people ask me, gee, you're here, you're there, you're doing a lot of things.
- 41:18Man, you probably have one one heck of a treasure chest filled up.
- 41:22I said, I do.
- 41:24I do.
- 41:25And then they start asking me, Well, where do you invest?
- 41:28Where do you bank?
- 41:30I said, I invest in God Almighty.
- 41:34I invest in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 41:35I can actually tell them that.
- 41:36They start staring at me.
- 41:38My treasure is in the kingdom of heaven.
- 41:41I'm a rich person, folks.
- 41:43Money goes away.
- 41:46The riches of the earth goes away.
- 41:49All the years that I've been working very hard to where I am today, and I'm a middle class guy.
- 41:54I'm not a millionaire.
- 41:55I'm not, you know, involved with that crowd.
- 41:58A lot of friends I have in that crowd, but I'm not part of that.
- 42:01I've shared with you over and over again.
- 42:03I was born and raised on the other side of the tracks.
- 42:05And you know what side that is the poor side.
- 42:09But I've been able to make it in life through hard work, trusting God, prayer, talking with him, following his lead, and I've been pretty successful.
- 42:19But only with the treasure he's given me.
- 42:23Didn't take money, it didn't take jewels, it didn't take the riches and the politics and all the things people lean on here on earth that disappear, but it took me getting on my knees saying, Lord, I'm yours.
- 42:39A complete and total surrender to him got me to where I am today.
- 42:46So when we talk, he listens.
- 42:50And guess what?
- 42:51When he talks, do we listen?
- 42:54Hmm.
- 42:55Do we really listen when he talks?
- 42:57Are we willing to wait a few minutes to listen to what he has to say to us?
- 43:02Now I've got to tell you, it's very important that when you get together with the good Lord, I would recommend you get alone with him, make sure you have maybe a good half hour or an hour and have a conversation with him.
- 43:17And that's very important that you do that because he does want to get alone with you.
- 43:21No distractions, no radio or TV on, turn off the phone, get away from the iPad and computer, and just talk with him.
- 43:30I've got to tell you, folks, a lot of people talk to God.
- 43:36They have a monologue with regard to a conversation with God, meaning they do all the talking and don't allow him to even get a word in edgewise.
- 43:45So I've got to tell you.
- 43:47When I realized that I was doing that long, long time ago, I decided to stick around the place where I was praying to God, talking to God.
- 43:54I remained completely silent.
- 43:56In a few minutes, it took a few minutes, and boy, that whisper.
- 44:01And those of you who are Christians know what I'm talking about.
- 44:04That whisper came in loud and clear.
- 44:07It was that familiar voice, the familiar voice of the Holy Spirit of God that led me to reach for my Bible and go directly to a scripture verse that incredibly was showing me a pathway to find answers to my prayers.
- 44:24I don't know.
- 44:25I can't tell you, I can't explain to you how that happened.
- 44:27Other than I went to the Bible and I opened it up.
- 44:30I didn't know where I was headed, the book of Genesis, the book of Revelation, who knows?
- 44:34I opened it up a few pages, kind of scanned it, and bingo, my eyes hit on something in the book of Psalms.
- 44:42And that something was Romans 8 28.
- 44:45All things work together for those of you who love the Lord thy God according to his will.
- 44:55I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 44:58No man cometh to the Father but by me.
- 45:02And there are a lot more scriptures that came to me that day.
- 45:06So I realized that during the course of my lifetime, when God, at least in my view, remained silent, there was the answer.
- 45:15Some answers are yes, some are no.
- 45:18But answers they are.
- 45:19And let me tell you this, folks, that no answers came with a peace, a grace, and an understanding that God was looking out for my best interest.
- 45:30My point is, if you're praying for something to come your way, and the answer you really sense is no, and you haven't gotten to where you want to be, years from that point in time that you prayed for that, you're gonna look back and say, I thank God that prayer was not answered.
- 45:46Happens a lot.
- 45:48I remember a long time ago, someone once saying to me, be careful what you pray for.
- 45:52Be careful what you ask for.
- 45:55I've learned that by looking back at the times I wanted to hear God's yes, and he said no, I'm now glad that he answered no, because I would not be where I am today.
- 46:08And what I wanted was something that I saw that I wanted to see, but God knew that it was not good for me.
- 46:16You may be praying for a new job.
- 46:19You may be praying for some way somehow to increase your finances.
- 46:23You may be praying for a number of things that affect your life.
- 46:28And if it's out of the will of God, the answer is gonna be no.
- 46:34You may not know it's out of the will of God.
- 46:36That's why that scripture, Romans 8.28, all things work together for the good for those who love the Lord thy God according to his will.
- 46:43I've always fought God.
- 46:45Oh, even now sometimes.
- 46:47I don't want this to be your will.
- 46:49Come on, my will's a good will.
- 46:51So it isn't.
- 46:52It isn't.
- 46:53You know, yeah, that's right.
- 46:54I do that, so I have arguments with the guy.
- 46:56You think I win?
- 46:57Never.
- 46:58But I'm glad as I look back, I'm glad, thank God I never won that battle, I'd be in trouble.
- 47:04That's why count it joy.
- 47:06The scriptures in there say, count a joy one.
- 47:09Sometimes the answer is no.
- 47:10Right away, we panic.
- 47:11Oh my god, I'm not gonna get this and get that.
- 47:13What am I gonna do?
- 47:14He will find you a way to get through your difficulties and problems.
- 47:20Many people go through difficult marriage.
- 47:24Now it's in the will of God that you do everything you could to bring the marriage together.
- 47:28But if you can't, and it's impossible, then you pray that for the good Lord to guide you in the right direction to make sure that if the marriage ends, that it ends peacefully.
- 47:40It ends in the best interests of everybody, especially that if there are children involved.
- 47:46I mean that, folks.
- 47:48A lot of people are going through tough times in their marriages because of finances and this and that, but you may find out that when you pray and commit your prayers to Jesus Christ, to the good Lord, that he's gonna show you things that you could have never imagined were there, that may help heal the wounds of a marriage.
- 48:09Or may I add the wounds of a divorce?
- 48:11They're ugly divorces, they're terrible.
- 48:13As a police officer, I could tell you I've been into homes of so many people in domestic violence problems, saying things and doing things against each other in front of their children for goodness sakes.
- 48:26And then years later, because I was there 38 years.
- 48:29So if within a span of 38 years I was involved in helping people or responding to a domestic violence call that ended in a divorce, I was there when it all started.
- 48:40I was there when it all ended.
- 48:42And those who decided to make peace with each other and pray that their divorces went peacefully, and that God somehow, some way would just forgive everybody and give them a new start.
- 48:58Everybody won.
- 49:00Maybe the marriage didn't get back together, but everybody won.
- 49:04Meaning everyone walked away peacefully.
- 49:09Maybe not joyfully.
- 49:11I mean, who goes joyful when something like that happens?
- 49:14But that joy that man gives is temporary, but the joy of the Lord is for eternity.
- 49:23A lot involved there, right, folks.
- 49:24But my point is this have that talk with God, have that talk with him.
- 49:29Let the Holy Spirit know he's with you.
- 49:31Let him know you're hurting, you're in pain.
- 49:33Let him know.
- 49:34I gotta tell you, he's listening.
- 49:37Absolutely listening.
- 49:39You know, a lot of people go to different churches and they have different doctrines and they have different ways of praying.
- 49:46And I've said the most common way that I've learned in the Bible to pray is to have a conversation with God.
- 49:52Now I know there's some denominations that say it's okay to pray to saints and others, but I've got to tell you, and I'll share this with you folks.
- 49:59I respect.
- 50:00Everyone's religion.
- 50:01That's your business, your belief.
- 50:02But if I'm going to talk to you about religion and talk to you about Christ, I'm talking to you about his word.
- 50:11What came out of his mouth?
- 50:13What is his will?
- 50:14What is written in his Bible?
- 50:17And his Bible, I've got to tell you.
- 50:19There's nowhere in the Bible does God condone that we are to pray to anyone but to God the Father through his Son Jesus Christ.
- 50:30In fact, he condemns it.
- 50:32Consider the first commandment.
- 50:33Ye shall have no other gods before me.
- 50:36That's in Exodus 23.
- 50:38Now, this is a directive right from God.
- 50:42And it highlights the need to love the Lord your God completely with all your heart, soul, and strength.
- 50:48It is the core principle of Judeo Christian beliefs, encouraging everyone we know, every follower of Christ to put their relationship with God first.
- 50:58Avoid idolatry and seek a very meaningful connection.
- 51:02Meaningful connection means a very meaningful friendship with our creator.
- 51:10When people pray to statues or buildings or different deities and all kinds of things other than the Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, through his son Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 51:28Pray any other place to any other thing other than the person of Christ.
- 51:34Those prayers aren't going anywhere.
- 51:36Absolutely not going anywhere.
- 51:38And I believe it grieves the Lord.
- 51:42Now many people say, gee, you know, I was brought up that way, and and I understood that I had to pray to this person and that person.
- 51:51I mean, I didn't know better.
- 51:53That's right.
- 51:53God knows that.
- 51:54But at some point in time, he's going to lead you to the truth.
- 51:58I was raised, folks, in a church that we prayed to statues.
- 52:03We prayed to saints.
- 52:04We prayed to all kinds of people.
- 52:06And then as time went on, through the word of God, through the Bible, through the spoken word of God, I was led to those scriptures and found out, whoa, there's something wrong here.
- 52:20And I accepted the fact that I couldn't do those things anymore.
- 52:24And what did I do?
- 52:26I didn't leave my church.
- 52:27I didn't leave people that I love, that I work with and talk with.
- 52:31I still remain friends with them, but I let them know my best friend is Jesus Christ.
- 52:36And many of them actually came over.
- 52:39Yeah.
- 52:40Said, Wow, what do you think of this?
- 52:43We are to condemn and judge no one.
- 52:46But we are to share the truth.
- 52:49And I thank God every day, even though I was taught in a way that maybe was, well, that not maybe that wasn't really in line with the biblical principles that I learned to be truthful in my adult life.
- 53:02I thank God for my mother and father, giving me those strong roots, those strong roots to allow the Holy Spirit of God, the Son of God Jesus Christ, and God the Father to grow within me.
- 53:16Because many times there are denominations where people are led to pray one way, this way, that way to saints or whatever.
- 53:25And although it's wrong, although it is contrary to what the Bible says, they still talked about Jesus.
- 53:32They sure did.
- 53:34That counts.
- 53:35That counts.
- 53:37Your prayers are heard, but you gotta pray the right way.
- 53:42You gotta have a conversation with Christ, with God Almighty.
- 53:47He's there.
- 53:48There's not a word in the Bible that says you have, you know, to pray to camps or to pray to saints or to pray to this person or that person.
- 53:55They may be special people, a lot of special people in the Bible.
- 54:00You notice Moses, folks?
- 54:02Abraham, you talk about biblical heroes.
- 54:04If there's anyone that you would think that we should pray to because of the blessings that God brought upon them, including King David of all people, don't you think it would be them?
- 54:17Hmm.
- 54:18Pretty provoking thought.
- 54:21But God said very clearly, there'll be no other gods before him.
- 54:25You turn your life, your heart, your soul, your spirit over to him, and you give him all your love.
- 54:31Make that connection, and you do it through accepting Jesus as your Savior.
- 54:38And it's a very significant friendship, a very significant connection.
- 54:42Or more precisely, as I said earlier, it is a direct conversation between you and God.
- 54:49It's facilitated through prayer.
- 54:51And what is prayer?
- 54:52It goes back to those words, that conversation.
- 54:54The way I'm speaking with you, I speak with God.
- 54:58Simple as that.
- 55:00You're gonna find that prayer strengthens your relationship with God.
- 55:04And it will enable you to develop a closer relationship with him and gain a deeper understanding of his nature.
- 55:10Now, I I've been a Christian my whole life, right?
- 55:14Brought up this way, that way, but always focused on Christ, right?
- 55:18And all these years later, all these years, a lot of years, all these years later, I'm still learning about Jesus Christ.
- 55:26In fact, I am ordering books that I never thought existed, even now.
- 55:31The biography of Jesus, biography of Paul.
- 55:35I'm reading now a leadership book about Nehemiah.
- 55:39Now, why am I doing this?
- 55:40I am in a leadership position, and I sense and believe, and I've said this to people quite some time.
- 55:46For me, and for many people in their 70s and 80s, and some in their 90s, this is the last mile.
- 55:53I'm gonna make it count.
- 55:55Not for me, for him.
- 55:57And he's positioning me to do just that.
- 56:00I encourage you, make the last mile count.
- 56:04If you're up in those years, if you're in your 20s, all the way up to your 50s, 60s, make every mile count.
- 56:11I can't make those miles in the past count the way I'd like to do it now.
- 56:15Mm-hmm.
- 56:16Let's not go down that road.
- 56:17You know what I mean?
- 56:19But I'm gonna make the last one count.
- 56:21Oh, yes, I am.
- 56:24So keep this in mind, all right?
- 56:25Keep this in mind.
- 56:26Draw near to God, and he's gonna draw near to you.
- 56:29The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
- 56:36That's what the Psalms say.
- 56:38Stay close to him.
- 56:41In my distress, I call to the Lord.
- 56:43I cried to my God for help from his temple, he heard my voice.
- 56:49My cry came before him into his ears.
- 56:53As for me, I call to the God, and the Lord saves me.
- 56:57Evening, morning, and noon I cry out in distress.
- 57:00Here you go.
- 57:02This will bring tears to your eyes.
- 57:04And in my distress, he heard my voice.
- 57:10He answered, folks.
- 57:13He answered those prayers.
- 57:15That's it.
- 57:16Go and have a good cup of coffee with the king.
- 57:19Tell him I said hello.
- 57:22Maybe you don't mention my name, he'll be scratching his head.
- 57:24Oh, him again.
- 57:25All right.
- 57:26We should have a sense of you.
- 57:28God bless you.
- 57:28Have a blessed day.
- 57:30And uh salute you and God bless them.
