- 0:00I'm Christina.
- 0:00And I'm Teef.
- 0:01And this is the Pretty in Pink Again podcast.
- 0:03Where motherhood meets rediscovery.
- 0:16Hello.
- 0:17Hello.
- 0:18Hi.
- 0:18What a day.
- 0:20What a day.
- 0:21We have little Pippas downstairs.
- 0:22We have It's, it's like communal over here.
- 0:25Communal parenting.
- 0:27Communal mothering, I should say.
- 0:30That's how it should be.
- 0:31I know.
- 0:31Honestly, how much easier is it?
- 0:34There's been a couple of times, probably over the last, like, six months, where we've just, combined efforts and, we put the kids together, and it is easier parenting the kids when they're together than it is solo.
- 0:46Yeah.
- 0:46I swear to God.
- 0:47I think that our generation is getting it wrong and we need to change things up again.
- 0:51For sure.
- 0:52I was, not to, go off on this whole tangent, I went for a walk with my girlfriend the other morning, and I, we were saying that, our boys are 13, and we're waiting for them to get in trouble.
- 1:00Go to a party and get in trouble.
- 1:03Or hang out with a friend.
- 1:04Do something wrong.
- 1:05Like go to a field.
- 1:07Not even get in trouble, but just do something with other kids.
- 1:11I'm like,"Do something.""No, because they're like on their phones- Right and they're also overscheduled." So then she sent me a meme later that day, and she was like,"Kids need to go back to, hanging out in fields." Yeah.
- 1:23Like us.
- 1:24The power line parties.
- 1:25That's what we used to call them.
- 1:26Hanging out in fields and not- On their phones or, at hockey tournaments, like- Yeah, but- all weekend long no one could get away with that anymore.
- 1:33Like, there's just too much.
- 1:34I know.
- 1:34That's my thing.
- 1:35We've done it wrong.
- 1:35Like, you can, like, track your kid's phone, and you can, like, there's cameras all over your house.
- 1:39Like, you can't sneak out.
- 1:40You can't do anything.
- 1:41Can't do a thing.
- 1:42So I think that we should definitely do an episode about, nostalgia- Mm-hmm and, things maybe that our kids would never be able to do that we were able to do or, like, something, we'll, like, play with that'cause I think that that might be a really fun convo and, a memory lane.
- 1:58So how was the weekend?
- 1:59Good.
- 2:00And we're prepping, this episode's gonna come out after our trip already because we're pre-recording- Mm-hmm before our Ireland trip.
- 2:08So it's gonna come out and we're already gonna be back- Mm-hmm or, like, just back.
- 2:12So, ask me next week how I'm doing.
- 2:16Okay.
- 2:16I can't believe I, like, sat on this podcast and was, like, debating traveling with my kids, and now we're taking, like, an international trip.
- 2:23They're gonna do great.
- 2:25God's in first.
- 2:26They're gonna do great.
- 2:26God's in first.
- 2:26Yeah.
- 2:26You guys- And we're taking a red-eye.
- 2:28I don't know how that's gonna go.
- 2:28They're g- they are gonna do great.
- 2:30Mm-hmm.
- 2:30And you are going to make sure you have a day to yourself when you return.
- 2:33Yes, absolutely.
- 2:34You're not gonna work.
- 2:35Absolutely.
- 2:35You're gonna have- I'm gonna just decompress and you're gonna have the sitter come- Yeah and you're gonna take a day.
- 2:41You're gonna be alone.
- 2:42So ask me next week when we shoot next week.
- 2:44I'm excited for you.
- 2:45Yeah, I am too.
- 2:46It's gonna be a great trip.
- 2:46How you feeling?
- 2:48Fine.
- 2:48Good.
- 2:48Fine.
- 2:49We were home this weekend.
- 2:50We had, like, things to do with the kids.
- 2:52We went to the little town carnival.
- 2:53Yeah.
- 2:53Did you go to that with your kids?
- 2:54Yep, we did.
- 2:55Yep.
- 2:55So Joseph and his friends, like, get dropped off, and Nick and I were like,"You know what?
- 3:00We're just gonna go,"'cause it was kinda late.
- 3:02Yeah.
- 3:02We had, like, all the kids had friends with them, so we were like,"We'll go and we'll stay, too," and just kinda like watch what goes down.
- 3:07Hang out.
- 3:08Yeah.
- 3:09Y- And it was just so funny.
- 3:10Like, the 13, 14-year-old boys are, like, starting to act a little bit more cool and mature, whereas, like, Vincent and his friends are, like, wild, rolling in the mud, in the grass, going on the rides.
- 3:24And then, like- Did they get a wristband to go on all the rides?
- 3:26They got a wristband- Yeah for the unlimited rides.
- 3:28Yeah.
- 3:28And Joseph wanted to hang out with me and Nick, and we were like,"You're being so lame.
- 3:32Go and hang out with your friends." And he's like, you know, like, trying to be cool.
- 3:36And then there was, like, packs of girls walking around.
- 3:39Like, I just- He's, like, too cool for school right now I just, like, fully observed these little preteens, and I was, like, right back in it.
- 3:46Yeah.
- 3:47Like, I remember being at the town carnival- Yes when I was that age.
- 3:49That is so fun.
- 3:50I know.
- 3:51I was getting nostalgic vibes, too, when I was thinking of it.
- 3:54But this one is tiny compared to what I grew up going to, so.
- 3:57Yes.
- 3:57Yeah.
- 3:58Yes.
- 3:58No, it is tiny.
- 3:59Which was great, because I have small kids, and there was, like, lots of small rides for them, and they were very cute.
- 4:05Aww.
- 4:05And Lei went on the Ferris wheel for the first time.
- 4:07She was, like, so brave.
- 4:08Stop it.
- 4:08Yep.
- 4:09You went on with her?
- 4:09I went on with her, and she wanted to go on it.
- 4:11And she loved it.
- 4:12Like, she saw it and wanted to go.
- 4:12Loved it.
- 4:13She had such a good time.
- 4:14What about Leo?
- 4:14We all went down the big slide.
- 4:16Like, I went- You went down the big slide?
- 4:18Yes, everybody did it.
- 4:18I know, I'm like, yeah, I have to go on with every- I have to go on for everything.
- 4:21We need to go together next year- Yeah because my kids can take your kids.
- 4:25Yes.
- 4:25I know.
- 4:26I know,'cause there was that little- The height the height thing- With my kids and it said,"With parent, without parent," and of course we had to go on everything.
- 4:33Aww.
- 4:33But it was still so cute.
- 4:35You're such a good mommy.
- 4:35Yeah, it was really fu- I'm a ride girl.
- 4:37Like, I- You are?
- 4:38Yeah.
- 4:38Like, I used to- Oh love roller coasters.
- 4:41Like, I went to- Cedar Point or some- Cedar something in Ohio.
- 4:46It used to be one of, like, the biggest rollercoaster parks in the country, and I, like, lived for that, which is very shocking.
- 4:53Are you serious?
- 4:54Yes.
- 4:54You little thrill-seeker.
- 4:55I love it.
- 4:56No, I will stand in line all day long.
- 4:58I'll hold everybody's bags and everybody's merch and I'll get everybody snacks- Mm-hmm and water.
- 5:02I do not like rides.
- 5:04Do you ever see the guy, he's, I, I hope everybody listening will get this on their Instagram algorithm now.
- 5:10There's a guy, I have to find him.
- 5:12He, like, lip syncs really epic songs while he's on a rollercoaster.
- 5:19And so it'll be, like, an Ariana Grande song or, like, a JoJo song like,"Get out right now." Yeah.
- 5:25Like, he sings it, and, like, it'll always be, like, the bridge where it's, like, slow motion.
- 5:29And, like, he also sings in the rain.
- 5:31If you see him, he is, like, the funniest creator.
- 5:33I'm obsessed with him right now.
- 5:35That, you should do that.
- 5:35And I was like,"I should have done that," like, while I was- You, it's not too late riding the mini rollercoaster with my kids.
- 5:40It's not too late.
- 5:41Yeah.
- 5:42I smell a trip to Disney coming up.
- 5:43I love it.
- 5:44I know.
- 5:45Maybe we're there.
- 5:46But okay, today we're gonna keep this really light,'cause we've had a lot of really great conversations the last couple of weeks, but sometimes we just like to lighten it up.
- 5:54I know.
- 5:54The one from last week with Mommy B.
- 5:56Well- Yeah with a- the postpartum depression- Mm-hmm anxiety- Mm-hmm psychosis.
- 6:01Mm-hmm.
- 6:02You know, that was a very informative and heavy episode.
- 6:06For sure.
- 6:06But I feel like that just goes to show, like, how much we need to talk about that.
- 6:11Mm-hmm.
- 6:11But I also love that we just have a big range on this podcast.
- 6:14Mm-hmm.
- 6:14And we can go deep into very tough conversations, and then we like to keep it light and laugh a little bit, and that's what we're gonna do today.
- 6:21Yes.
- 6:22So we thought we would do a little quickie episode, and we are gonna do a Would You Rather Millennial Mom edition.
- 6:30And we have some really- Love it funny Would You Rather questions.
- 6:34And what are the rules?
- 6:37You can't say neither Or both.
- 6:39Or both.
- 6:39Right?
- 6:40Like, you have to choose.
- 6:41Even though in life I never want two choices.
- 6:43I know, but, like, we're gonna- I'm always like,"What's in the bag?" It's not fun if we are, like, both or, like, neither'cause then it's it's, it really kills the vibe, so.
- 6:49All right.
- 6:50Okay.
- 6:50Let's do it.
- 6:50So kick us off.
- 6:52Okay.
- 6:53Let's start with mom life.
- 6:54Okay, we're gonna do them by category.
- 6:55Okay.
- 6:56Mm-hmm.
- 6:56Okay.
- 6:57Okay.
- 6:57Would you rather have a toddler tantrum on an airplane- or a teenager meltdown on vacation?
- 7:06Well, I don't know what a teenager meltdown is like, but my toddler meltdowns are epic, so I can't imagine what they're gonna be when they're a teenager.
- 7:15Okay.
- 7:15Do they relate?
- 7:16I would- is it like- I would choose the t- the toddler- What?
- 7:19tantrum because I feel like it's socially acceptable- That's true to have a two-year-old melting down.
- 7:24Like, I feel like that's normal.
- 7:26Right.
- 7:26And perhaps- Even though I wanna, like, crawl in a hole perhaps it's also socially acceptable to have a teenage meltdown, but, like, when my teen melts down- Mm-hmm like, I can't scoop him up and be like,"It's okay." I know.
- 7:39I-"Don't disrupt the person next to us." I feel like I've gotten to the point where the moms and parents you have that non-verbal communication when you're in the middle of a meltdown- Uh-huh where, like, another mom, there's obviously some looks and some side eyes, but then you'll, like, catch eyes with another mom.
- 7:56Yeah, that they're rooting for you.
- 7:57And they're like I know.
- 7:58I've been there.
- 7:59You got it," you know?
- 8:00Mm-hmm.
- 8:00Like, they just believe in you, and so I guess I'll choose that because I feel like you do get a little sympathy.
- 8:07Yeah.
- 8:07You know?
- 8:08No, a teenage meltdown is insufferable behavior.
- 8:10Ooh.
- 8:10Oh, man.
- 8:11Okay.
- 8:13Would you rather repeat the newborn sleep stage or potty train all over again?
- 8:18Potty train.
- 8:18I didn't think that- Same I didn't think potty training was that bad.
- 8:21Same.
- 8:21I agree.
- 8:22Sleep.
- 8:23No.
- 8:24We have a whole episode on that.
- 8:25No.
- 8:26Like, I- We, we did I think everyone would know our answers for that one.
- 8:30Would you rather have kids who wake up every day at 5:00 AM or won't go to bed until 10:00 PM?
- 8:35Well, I have kids that, like, won't go to bed till 9:00 PM.
- 8:38So I would choose that one.
- 8:40Okay.
- 8:40The 10- 10:00 PM is, like, one extra hour.
- 8:43I hate waking up early.
- 8:44Like- Yeah.
- 8:45Same and I feel like the day is, whenever we have an early start to the day, I just never can recover from it.
- 8:52Mm-hmm.
- 8:52So I would rather have a late night and, like, a late morning- same.
- 8:56Agreed if that makes sense.
- 8:57Although, kids that go to bed late normally wake up early, but my kids are, like, at the point where if they go to bed a little late, they'll still, they can sleep in a little bit.
- 9:05Yeah.
- 9:06So- I would say the same.
- 9:06Oh, that's a tough one, though.
- 9:08Okay.
- 9:09Would you rather have no babysitter for six months or no date night for a year?
- 9:13Sorry, Raj.
- 9:14Turn the mic down.
- 9:16I know what her answer's gonna be.
- 9:17I would rather have a no official date night for a year?
- 9:22That's That's what it says no, I get, like, really mad if it's been, like, a month and we haven't gone out to dinner or had any time.
- 9:29That is, But no babysitter?
- 9:32Okay, I suppose you can plead the fifth for one or two of these.
- 9:33No.
- 9:34No, no, no, no.
- 9:34We're, nope, we're not gonna do that.
- 9:36I think I'd still choose no date night, and we would just have to be, like, creative maybe we try to have, like, a dinner after the kids go to bed or something.
- 9:45But, like, I could not live without a babysitter for six months.
- 9:49I would go crazy.
- 9:50Right?
- 9:50What about you?
- 9:51Your kids, I feel like- I don't need a babysitter.
- 9:53Oh, that's very unfair.
- 9:54I don't need a babysitter anymore.
- 9:56But I mean, I shouldn't say I don't- Yeah'cause I, I, I do, actually.
- 9:59Yeah.
- 9:59But I don't, it's, I, they're not gonna, like- Yeah I'm not gonna get, like, arrested- Okay like you would if you left them home alone.
- 10:08Arrested.
- 10:09Okay, here's one.
- 10:10I feel like we've talked about this- Oh on the podcast.
- 10:12Would you rather host Thanksgiving or travel with all the kids for Thanksgiving?
- 10:19I don't know.
- 10:19I guess I could do both.
- 10:20Uh, neither one of those would be like a no for me.
- 10:22Okay.
- 10:23I would, I would happily host Thanksgiving and also happily travel with all the kids- I feel like- for Thanksgiving last year or the year before, I would've rather hosted just so that I could be in my house, the kids could nap, like, it wasn't throwing off our routine as much.
- 10:37But now, I think I'm more about, like, getting out- Mm-hmm and not having to, like, clean.
- 10:44You know what I mean?
- 10:44Mm-hmm.
- 10:44And like, just kind of being a guest, like, not that I'm a bad guest, but like, no, I know what you're saying.
- 10:49Like, it's so much work to host, and it's so much work to have kids and host.
- 10:53Like- Like, so I feel like it's just- Right, but you would've chosen having everybody come to you- Yes and doing that work- Yes versus the work of, like, packing up and going out.
- 11:00Yes.
- 11:00But now, like- And now you're like,"Actually- Now, uh, now there's less to pack up I wouldn't mind packing up and going out." Now there's, like, less to pack up.
- 11:05Both kids are potty-trained.
- 11:07We could skip a nap if we have to.
- 11:09It's not that big of a deal, so now I'd rather go out.
- 11:13Look at you.
- 11:13So much growth.
- 11:14All the things.
- 11:15Okay, this is for you.
- 11:17Would you rather- It's not just for me, honey Okay?
- 11:20Your kids are also in school.
- 11:21Would you rather deal with lice or the stomach bug that takes down the en- entire house one person at a time?
- 11:28Okay, I'm gonna say lice, and I know most- Yeah people would say the stomach bug, but we've had lice, and it actually wasn't that big of a deal.
- 11:34Really?
- 11:35No.
- 11:35W- we, people make such a big deal over it.
- 11:37The stomach bug is so much worse- I know first of all, if you get it all at once, it's the freaking worst because then, like, you can't really take care of yourself- I know, but I think- and then your kids one by one is the worst we ne- but then, but we, that never happens.
- 11:49Oh.
- 11:49We always get it one by one, and then the whole house is out for, like, forever, and you gotta bleach everything.
- 11:54Lice, you just comb that shit out of your hair- Or someone else and you do the treatment.
- 11:58You have the, the lady come.
- 11:59Yeah, I have the lice lady.
- 12:00Yeah.
- 12:00Now I could be the lice lady.
- 12:01Yeah.
- 12:02And- The lice lady then it's, then it, done.
- 12:04Actually, the other day, just this past weekend, my sister called me and she was like,"You better check the girls'.
- 12:09The soccer team had it," and like,"You better just keep checking," blah, blah, blah.
- 12:13And I said,"Honey, we've been doing lice checks- Yeah, you're like- and treatments like once a week" you're a pro now.
- 12:18So,'cause it, it happens.
- 12:20Okay.
- 12:20Well, we've...
- 12:21Oh, I don't even wanna say.
- 12:22If you get it, I'll get rid of it.
- 12:24Okay.
- 12:24Okay.
- 12:25Well, then that will be my answer without me even having to say it.
- 12:28Ugh.
- 12:29Okay.
- 12:29Would you rather spend four hours in an indoor trampoline park or at a kid's birthday party where you know no one?
- 12:35At a kid's birthday party where you know no one.
- 12:37I feel like I would choose that one.
- 12:38Birthday parties usually don't last that long.
- 12:40Four hours- That's true at a trampoline park is a long time.
- 12:42'Cause I don't mind the trampoline park, but I feel like- But four hours?
- 12:46Four hours sounds real- like, after one hour, I'm ready to get out of there.
- 12:50So I guess I'll take the birthday party, too.
- 12:52Would you rather your kid forget their entire sports bag or realize you drove to the wrong field?
- 12:58Either way I'd be like,"I'm out," so it doesn't matter.
- 13:01If we forgot the sports bag, I'm out, and if we drive to the wrong field, I'm out.
- 13:04So then there- we're just not going to sports that day.
- 13:07So Driving to the wrong field sucks.
- 13:13I've done that before.
- 13:16'Cause you know what, driving to the wrong field is like,"I messed up." Right.
- 13:20The kids forgetting their sports bag is like- Right they messed up.
- 13:22So I'm like,"Oh, you're just gonna have to-" Okay"sit out and learn a lesson on this one." Okay, that makes sense,'cause then you blame.
- 13:25But if you drive to the wrong field, you're like- Okay"Mom is-" Yes"scatterbrained and screwed up." You're, you're the ba- well, you're like, you're the villain in that scenario.
- 13:34Yeah, so I'm gonna choose the former.
- 13:35Okay, I like that.
- 13:36All right, so let's go on to Extremely Millennial Edition.
- 13:40Okay.
- 13:42Would you rather give up Target or Amazon Prime?
- 13:46She gasped.
- 13:47Okay, I g- I would rather give up Target, even though I love Target, and I love Target for shoes.
- 13:53I feel like that's the only thing I couldn't get myself on Amazon.
- 13:58I love Target shoes.
- 13:59Really?
- 14:00Yeah.
- 14:00Oh.
- 14:00I feel like they're always so comfortable.
- 14:02Okay.
- 14:03And, but that would be it,'cause everything else at Target, for the most part, I could get on Amazon.
- 14:08Yeah, I would think so- So with Target.
- 14:09Yeah.
- 14:10Okay.
- 14:10Would you rather give up Instagram or your group chats?
- 14:14Group chats,'cause I feel like my Instagram DM'ing of memes to my friends- Yes, true has, like, replaced- Yes, true my group chats.
- 14:22Okay.
- 14:22Sorry, girl.
- 14:23What about you?
- 14:24I'm, I can't give up Instagram or I don't have a job.
- 14:26So I can't that's, uh, we're not gonna be able to do that one.
- 14:30But I do love my group chats.
- 14:32Mm.
- 14:33But I agree, we could just move those over to Instagram would you rather have skinny jeans become mandatory again or low-rise jeans become mandatory again?
- 14:41Skinny jeans.
- 14:42I'm, I keep seeing skinny jeans everywhere.
- 14:44Well, they're coming back.
- 14:45I keep seeing them everywhere- Yep, yep and they look great.
- 14:48They are coming back.
- 14:49And I didn't hate them.
- 14:52But low-rise, I will n- I will never do low-rise again.
- 14:55Not the way that we did them.
- 14:57We talked about that in our Millennial Trend episode a couple weeks ago.
- 15:01Mm-hmm.
- 15:01And I just, I can't get on board with it.
- 15:03Would you rather wear your actual 2004 going out outfit to dinner tonight- or let your child style you for a week?
- 15:14If I could let Layla style me for a week, I would let Layla style me for a week Well, lucky for you, that's your child.
- 15:18Yeah.
- 15:19She- So I think you're good yeah, she's, she has good style.
- 15:21Yeah.
- 15:21And she picks out good things, so I would pro- But although I'm not, like, ashamed of what we wore back then.
- 15:27It's, like, in style now.
- 15:29Yeah.
- 15:31I have a picture of me wearing a white button-down- Mm-hmm like almost like a men's shirt- Mm-hmm with purple Adidas swoosh pants and sneakers the day after Christmas.
- 15:43And I wore it for, like, the entire Christmas break'cause I got that for, like, my Christmas gift- Oh, cute'cause that's what I wanted.
- 15:48Yeah.
- 15:48I wanted Adidas track pants in the color purple.
- 15:51And a button-down.
- 15:51And I wanted this, like, white like button-down, and I wore it the whole winter break.
- 15:57I was gonna style a white button-down today with track pants.
- 16:00There you go.
- 16:00'Cause that's, like, the look.
- 16:02Yeah, exactly.
- 16:02Yeah, so you wouldn't, it wouldn't be that embarrassing right now.
- 16:0510 years ago maybe, but, like, I feel like right now you would just- I feel like what I was wearing in 2004, though, when I was a senior in high school- 2004 I don't think I had good style that particularly year.
- 16:15I was probably wearing- I think I was very tan some sort of, like, tank top, layered tank top situation,'cause I always, like, layered- Mm-hmm lacy camis on top of each other.
- 16:23And then I would wear my low-rise jeans and UGG boots.
- 16:28That was, like, that's what I would go out.
- 16:30I don't think I like that style.
- 16:31Okay.
- 16:32So we're gonna let Layla style me.
- 16:34The low-rise jeans, like the muffin top pants?
- 16:35Oh, it's- I just don't think I loved that look.
- 16:37Okay.
- 16:38Okay.
- 16:38Final answer.
- 16:40Final answer.
- 16:41Okay.
- 16:42Oh, this is a sad one.
- 16:44Would you rather lose your entire camera roll or every text thread and group chat you've ever had?
- 16:50Oh, every group te- Ugh every group chat.
- 16:52I delete all my text messages.
- 16:54I just go through and delete them all.
- 16:55Okay.
- 16:56But I don't wanna lose my camera roll.
- 16:58Oh, I would not.
- 16:58I would still choose losing my group chat or, like, my text messages over the camera roll, but I just feel like I have, like, texts- You save your group chats?
- 17:08Not texts- Not so, not so much the group chats, but I have, like, texts from, like, my grandpa.
- 17:13You do?
- 17:13Mm-hmm.
- 17:14Your grandpa texts?
- 17:15He did.
- 17:16Aw.
- 17:16And so- What a doll yeah, like, I feel like, but I would rather have pictures.
- 17:22Yeah.
- 17:22Like, but- Well, make sure you screenshot those text messages that would be really sad.
- 17:25I know, that's true.
- 17:25That is so sweet you have text messages from your grandpa.
- 17:28I do.
- 17:28Yeah, I do.
- 17:29Aw.
- 17:29Would you rather accidentally like an ex's photo from 2012 Or send a screenshot of someone texts back to that person?
- 17:40Okay, well I've done- Wait, what does that mean?
- 17:42So like if you and I were texting and we were in a fight, and then I took a screenshot of that fight- and I sent it to you instead of like my sister.
- 17:52Yeah, but like who is it?
- 17:53Who's the person?
- 17:54Right like any screenshot of a conversation back to that person?
- 17:57Or do you want like...
- 17:58First of all, in 2012 I think I was married to Nick, right?
- 17:59I think I met him- Yeah, I was married to Raja in 2011, so that doesn't really apply.
- 18:06Yeah, but that still would be humiliating.
- 18:10I guess- I guess you can quickly unlike, right?
- 18:14They get that notice- But like sending a screenshot if they, if they get a notification shit.
- 18:20Sending a screenshot of a conversation back to that person.
- 18:25Oh, my God.
- 18:25I guess you could say that was an accident.
- 18:27I guess I'm trying to think of ways you would get out of either of these.
- 18:30There's no getting out of it.
- 18:31You sent the screenshot, you know what you're doing.
- 18:34Okay, I, I would probably choose that one.
- 18:36You might as well just follow up by being,"I'm sorry." You like-"I was sending it to my sister- Yeah.
- 18:39to help me unpack this bullshit." Right.
- 18:42Just being honest.
- 18:45Okay.
- 18:47Would you rather have your kids read your notes app or your husband read the group chat?
- 18:55I think if my husband read my group chat, he would have me institutionalized.
- 18:59Like, what?
- 19:01I will say that Raja probably knows a lot of what's going on in the group chat because- Yeah when I'm, like, laughing my ass off- Yeah he's u- I usually inform him of what's going on, and I'm, like, telling it, sorry girls, I'm, like, telling him, like, the play-by-play, like, while crying.
- 19:17And so he most likely knows what's going on, but the kids read my Notes app.
- 19:25I guess I don't really, like, say much about them in the Notes app, so probably that one.
- 19:30Okay.
- 19:30I don't think you're b- um, like, bothered by either one of these.
- 19:33No.
- 19:34Yeah.
- 19:35Okay.
- 19:35Would you rather give up online shopping for a year or take out food delivery for a year?
- 19:41Oh, Jesus.
- 19:44I don't- Honestly, this is one- I don't even know how to answer it I'd wanna say neither.
- 19:47You can't though.
- 19:47You can't.
- 19:47I do food delivery.
- 19:48I know, I'm just saying, I do food delivery so frequently, and honestly, stores do not make it easy to in-person shop anymore.
- 19:55No, like, there's no other option.
- 19:57They never have anything.
- 19:57They don't stock things.
- 19:57It's almost like they push you to want- Right to order online from, like, their warehouses- Right'cause it's easier for them'cause then they don't have to, like, stock the store.
- 20:05Right.
- 20:05There's, like, better incentives when you order things online.
- 20:07You, like, really can't give up online shopping because, like- Yeah what would we wear?
- 20:13I would, I'm gonna go with take out food del- food delivery.
- 20:16Oh, crap.
- 20:17Okay, no.
- 20:18That's like Instacart.
- 20:18Okay.
- 20:19Not just, like, Uber Eats, but that's, like, all food delivery.
- 20:22Okay.
- 20:22Whole Foods delivery.
- 20:22So we're gonna have to go shopping at the grocery store.
- 20:25Well, you've been doing that lately.
- 20:26But you can.
- 20:27Yeah, you can.
- 20:27You know what I mean?
- 20:28Versus, like, what you're saying, like, you can't really shop that much.
- 20:30Yeah, I think I would give up- Okay the online shopping for a year.
- 20:33Okay, same.
- 20:34Okay.
- 20:36Okay.
- 20:37Round three, marriage.
- 20:39Oh, geez.
- 20:40Would you rather hear,"What are we doing this weekend?" Or have to explain six times what's for dinner every night at 5:45?
- 20:52I would probably rather hear,"What are we doing this weekend?" Then what's for dinner?
- 20:58Yeah.
- 20:58'Cause sometimes my answer with what's for dinner is,"I don't know.
- 21:02What's for dinner?" If somebody asks me what's for dinner, it usually means I haven't made it yet.
- 21:09Which means I'm gonna be fucking pissed.
- 21:11Yeah.
- 21:13Which means my answer's not gonna be nice.
- 21:15I'd rather hear, what are we doing this weekend?
- 21:16That sounds like more fun.
- 21:18I swear some of these don't apply to my husband, but would you rather your husband load the dishwasher wrong forever or leave every cabinet door open forever?
- 21:26Like, I do that.
- 21:27Yeah, no, these apply to me.
- 21:29Yeah.
- 21:29Yeah.
- 21:29So Nick doesn't do any of this stuff.
- 21:31No.
- 21:31He, like- I do all this wrong perfectly lines the dishwasher correct.
- 21:35Mm-hmm.
- 21:35And he reloads it when I do it.
- 21:37Yeah.
- 21:38Also same.
- 21:39Ugh.
- 21:40Okay.
- 21:40Would you rather let your husband pack for a kids' vacation or buy every Christmas gift?
- 21:45Wait, like, he could do both of those, too.
- 21:47But I would probably rather him buy the Christmas gifts because I think of every scenario for packing, and so I feel like it wouldn't be completely, like, all the boxes wouldn't be checked.
- 22:02Mm-hmm.
- 22:03Like, he's, like, a minimalist when it comes to packing, and I need a little bit extra.
- 22:07Like, I'm like,"Okay, well, we need an extra pair of pajamas.
- 22:10What if it's cold?
- 22:11We need the coat." And he would eliminate those things.
- 22:14You know what I mean?
- 22:15I'm the minimalist in our relationship.
- 22:16Oh.
- 22:17And Nick is the extra, so I think I would say- The opposite I would do the Christmas shopping'cause he would have a truckload, like being ch- like, mm, mm, mm, being, like, dropped off of gifts.
- 22:30Um, I mean, except for the ones from Santa Claus, of course.
- 22:33And at least for vacation, like, we already own the stuff here- Right that I've bought.
- 22:38Right, right, right.
- 22:38So I- Yeah I think I would let him do the vacation.
- 22:39Okay.
- 22:40Would you rather let him plan every family vacation for a year or every date night for a year with zero input from you?
- 22:50I would rather him do date night.
- 22:51Yeah, same.
- 22:52I like to plan our vacations.
- 22:53Me too.
- 22:53I like to have input on vacations.
- 22:56Yeah.
- 22:57I like, yeah, I do all of our vacations now.
- 22:59Mm-hmm.
- 22:59All of our travel, all of our documents, all of our- Mm-hmm everything.
- 23:02And also, I don't like him to know how much the vacation cost because- then he doesn't enjoy it.
- 23:07If he knows, like, it costs X amount of dollars the bar for the vacation- Right like, goes up even higher.
- 23:13Right.
- 23:13Like, his expectation- Too much pressure of how awesome it has to be.
- 23:15Right.
- 23:15Right, right, right.
- 23:16So if he doesn't know the cost of it, then he can just go in blindly- and either be like,"This was awesome," or,"This sucked." Would you rather your husband have access to your Google searches or your Amazon order history?
- 23:29Well, we share an Amazon account.
- 23:31Oh, you do?
- 23:32Don't you guys share an Amazon account?
- 23:33We don't.
- 23:33You don't?
- 23:33No, because I don't.
- 23:34No, because mine is, um, for work.
- 23:38Oh.
- 23:38So, like, it's just too much.
- 23:40Okay.
- 23:41I don't think I want Nick to see my Google searches.
- 23:43Again, to my earlier point- I didn't think of Googling I feel like he would have me institutionalized.
- 23:47I think for me you would have to say would you rather have him have access to your chat searches- Oh or your Amazon order, and I would still say Amazon order because I feel like he knows most of the things that are showing up.
- 24:00But my favorite thing to do now, we said that we should make a reel of this because it's like you know now.
- 24:06It's like you're an influencer, you get PR packages, and so sometimes stuff will show up and I'll be like,"Oh, I don't know what this is.
- 24:13It must be from, you know, like the brand must have sent it." Mm-hmm.
- 24:16And like some- And there was a receipt inside.
- 24:19Exactly.
- 24:21Bill too.
- 24:21He was like,"We have to make a reel of this," because he's like,"I know you're lying sometimes." Every time.
- 24:27I'm like,"Oh, I don't know where that..." He just said, he goes there's something coming from Amika," like the hair brand, and truthfully it is a PR package, but the way I, like, responded was like, I was like,"Oh, I don't know.
- 24:39They must be sending me something." And he's like,"The way you, you went up like five octaves like,'Oh, I don't know.
- 24:45They must...'" Oh.
- 24:47He's like,"You look so guilty." Oh.
- 24:51So mine is gonna be Amazon order history.
- 24:55Okay.
- 24:58Okay.
- 24:59Round four, we're gonna do girlhood at 40.
- 25:02Would you rather have a girls' trip with a 5:00 AM flight or a girls' trip with a 10:30 PM reservation?
- 25:10Like, for dinner?
- 25:11Yes.
- 25:13I think I would go 5:00 AM flight because- 5:00 AM is early flight though.
- 25:17It is.
- 25:18I mean, then you're like literally getting up at like 3:00.
- 25:203:00.
- 25:20And then if, what if you have the 10:00 PM dinner that night?
- 25:23What a conundrum.
- 25:26Well, we wouldn't do that.
- 25:29But I think I'd choose the early flight.
- 25:31Yeah.
- 25:32'Cause then I feel like then we could have an early night and then semi-recover from the early morning.
- 25:37Okay.
- 25:37But like- This next one I feel like is very you and me.
- 25:40What?
- 25:41Because like one is for me and one's for you.
- 25:43Would you rather receive an 11-minute voice note text, voiced note text or a text that says,"Can you call me?" I mean, I would give you the 11-minute voice note and you would say,"Can you call me?" Right.
- 25:58"Can you talk right now?" Yeah.
- 26:00If I text you,"Can you call me?" I'm not calling for bad news.
- 26:04I'm calling- No, I know that though I'm calling because that's just my preferred method of communication.
- 26:08So if it was me and you, I would choose receive a text that says,"Can you call me?" Because I would know, actually, I would be like,"I don't know what the F she's gonna ask me," because it could be anything.
- 26:19It could be a story that she has to tell me or a quick question that could've been a text.
- 26:23This is true.
- 26:24This is true.
- 26:26But would you rather receive from me a can you call me text than my 11-minute voice note?
- 26:30No, I would worry that like something happened to the cats- Right.
- 26:33if you texted me,"Can you call me?" My, my palms would get sweaty.
- 26:38Would you rather- Would you rather your friend see your weekly screen time report or your monthly shopping total?
- 26:47Oh my God, both are wildly embarrassing.
- 26:50Yeah, I don't know what's worse.
- 26:51Oh my God, my screen time is atrocious.
- 26:54And you know what's unfair?
- 26:55But you can blame everything on work.
- 26:57You know what's really unfair?
- 26:59Tell me.
- 26:59Is that it counts when you're listening to like Audible or when you're listening to a podcast So do you want Apple to discriminate in things that are like- I do,'cause that's not like screen time.
- 27:11If I'm listening to something, I'm doing something else.
- 27:14I don't consider that screen time.
- 27:15Oh.
- 27:16So sometimes like I'll like fall asleep- Oh, I see.
- 27:19I see to like an Audible or something.
- 27:21Mm-hmm.
- 27:21And so then it will go a little, you know, until I like wake up, like sometimes it'll be like an extra 30 minutes or something.
- 27:26Do phone calls count as screen time?
- 27:27I don't know.
- 27:28Like if you're on the phone?
- 27:29I feel like anything with your phone counts as screen time.
- 27:31Like the Notes app.
- 27:32Sometimes it's...
- 27:32I remember one time, the reason I found out about this was because Raja and I were having kind of a dispute about how much screen time we have, and I went through and I said,"Wait a minute,"'cause mine was like ridiculous.
- 27:43I'm not even joking.
- 27:44It was like every minute you were awake for that day.
- 27:45It was literally like 10 hours, and I was like,"I'm not on my phone for 10 hours a day." And then it literally broke down and it said Audible and podcasts, and I was like first of all, I'm listening to my own podcast that we put out, and second of all, like some of that's like listening to a book.
- 28:01Yeah.
- 28:01Like, that doesn't count.
- 28:02Like- Right and so it's like if I listen to a book for an hour, it's counting as screen time, and so we had a whole debate over that.
- 28:08Okay.
- 28:09So it sounds like that's the one that you wouldn't want to see, people to see.
- 28:13Yes,'cause it's not reflective of real life.
- 28:15What about you?
- 28:17Honestly, I wouldn't mind somebody seeing my monthly shopping total because then maybe they would weigh in on theirs and I wouldn't feel so bad about mine.
- 28:27Would you rather never get Botox again or never color or highlight your hair again?
- 28:32Oh, shit.
- 28:33Well, I don't have grays yet.
- 28:34Right.
- 28:35And I'm brunette.
- 28:36So I think I would choose that one- I, my hair- over never getting Botox I don't know,'cause my hair has gotten so dark.
- 28:44My hair is getting darker as I'm getting older.
- 28:46Mm-hmm.
- 28:46My mom used to tell me that happened to her, too.
- 28:49Mm-hmm.
- 28:49And so n- and I'm like, I'm lightening it to, like, keep up this look.
- 28:53So I feel like when it's too dark I don't look like myself.
- 28:56Okay.
- 28:57So- So you would choose never getting Botox?
- 29:00I don't know.
- 29:01I'm at a loss, but I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say no Botox because I think Sam can, like, finagle something with my hair.
- 29:08Like, she could maybe, like, do something- Mm-hmm to, like, make it look- You say that now.
- 29:14Yeah.
- 29:15She's like,"No, I can't." Um, okay.
- 29:19Would you rather always be slightly overdressed or slightly underdressed?
- 29:23Over slightly overdressed.
- 29:25Over, same.
- 29:25Always.
- 29:26Always.
- 29:27Always.
- 29:27I feel like there's nothing worse than feeling underdressed somewhere.
- 29:31I know.
- 29:31We went to dinner with the kids on Sunday night and I was like,"Oh, I'm wearing sweats." And my girlfriend was like,"Yeah, me too." And then j- she was wearing jeans and a cardigan.
- 29:40And I was like,"Excuse you." You do that to me all the time.
- 29:42That is not dressing down.
- 29:43You do that to me all the time.
- 29:46I am actually in sweats.
- 29:46Like- You look cute.
- 29:48It, we have se- we've shared this behind the scenes, that we try to, like- Sam might know what we're wearing.
- 29:54It's not like we try to match, but it's like, what's the vibe today?
- 29:56Right, right.
- 29:57Just so that one of us isn't in sweats and one of us is in, like, a dress-up outfit.
- 30:02And so many times, T will tell me, she'll be like,"I'm wearing this," and then I show up and you're in a different outfit.
- 30:08Well, you ask me what I'm in, and I'm in a workout outfit'cause I was working out.
- 30:13That- Then I d- then I go home and I change into my podcast outfit.
- 30:16I'm not saying,"What are you in?" I'm saying,"What are you going to wear?" She will show up.
- 30:22Well, sometimes the literal text is,"What are you in?" Oh.
- 30:26So I tell you what I'm in.
- 30:28What are you in to record?
- 30:30Okay.
- 30:31That's gonna be how I phrase it.
- 30:32Well, you need to make an addendum to your- Uh-uh text messages to me because- Okay.
- 30:36So now we're gonna really get- into some unhinged ones.
- 30:40Would you rather have your kids hear everything you said about them in the group chat or have your husband hear everything you've said about him?
- 30:49Oof.
- 30:50I don't talk about Nick in my group chats.
- 30:52I don't have, like, a lot of good Nick content- But you- in group chats lately Everything I've said about Raja in a group chat, I've said to his face.
- 31:02Yeah.
- 31:03I would probably say Raja- Yeah'cause he could handle it.
- 31:05Oh, see, I don't think I want my kids to he- yeah, I wouldn't want my kids to hear- No what I have to say about them.
- 31:10No.
- 31:12Yeah, Nick can handle it.
- 31:14Would you rather have your current Google Search history projected at Thanksgiving or your Google Search history from age 21?
- 31:24Oh my God.
- 31:25I don't even know what I was googling at 21.
- 31:27Is this odor normal?
- 31:30Could I be pregnant?
- 31:31But I don't feel like we had our phones to, like, really- No.
- 31:39You know what I mean?
- 31:39Not at 21, actually.
- 31:41I feel like I would rather s- have it projected from 21, because now it's just, like, every time I think of something.
- 31:49You know what I mean?
- 31:49So it's, it would be like a journal- Mm-hmm now.
- 31:52And, like, then it would've been so random.
- 31:55So I'm gonna say from 21.
- 31:57Okay.
- 31:57What about you?
- 31:58Same.
- 31:59Okay.
- 31:59I would do the same.
- 32:00Okay.
- 32:02Would you rather have your child dress exactly like you did at age 16 or act exactly like you did at age 16?
- 32:13I hope the girls don't act like me when I was 16.
- 32:15I'm gonna say dress like me.
- 32:18Yeah.
- 32:22I think unfortunately for us, our daughters are going to dress and act very similar to us Would you rather, would you rather have a newborn again tomorrow or four teenagers at the same time?
- 32:33You're gonna kind of have a bunch of teenagers at one time, so.
- 32:36Yeah.
- 32:36I don't know if I want another newborn.
- 32:39No, I think I'm all set with a newborn.
- 32:41I think I'm gonna say four teenagers too.
- 32:43Yeah.
- 32:45Would you rather your child tell you that they're gonna have the same job as you or they wanna have the same job as your husband?
- 32:52Oh, as my husband.
- 32:53As your husband?
- 32:54Yeah.
- 32:54Okay.
- 32:55Well, obviously same.
- 32:58Obviously same.
- 32:59Why?
- 33:00Because I feel like my job is, like, it, I don't even know what it is.
- 33:05Like, influencers I feel like people, like, sneer at, right?
- 33:09Right.
- 33:10Podcasting, they're like,"What the actual F is that?
- 33:12You just talk shit about us all day." Like, Daddy's job is, like, well-respected- He has, like, a legit job.
- 33:17Yeah and, like, esteemed.
- 33:18I agree.
- 33:19I agree.
- 33:19However, my kids are like,"Ma, you got the cushiest job ever." Right.
- 33:24"You get to stay home-" Right in your pajamas.""Go to lunch with your friends." Like, they think my job is awesome.
- 33:30Okay.
- 33:30So- Which it is what's your answer?
- 33:32Your husband?
- 33:33Nick- Nick's job for sure.
- 33:33Okay, I'm gonna say mine too.
- 33:35Okay.
- 33:36Would you rather ne- oh, my God.
- 33:39This is awful.
- 33:41Would you rather never be alone in your house again or never sleep in again?
- 33:47Ugh.
- 33:48I suppose if I chose- never sleep in again, that would mean I could be alone in my house.
- 33:53In which ca- case, I could take a nap.
- 33:56Ooh.
- 33:56So I'm gonna choose that.
- 33:57I like that workaround.
- 33:59Right?
- 33:59You know what I mean?
- 34:00Okay.
- 34:00I'm gonna say I would rather never be alone in my house again.
- 34:06What?
- 34:07Yeah, I, like, long for, like, a day where I can just, like, sleep in and have a leisurely morning.
- 34:13That's just, like, not where I'm at right now, so- Okay the thought of never being able to do that again, it, like, keeps me going.
- 34:20You know what I mean?
- 34:21All right.
- 34:21Like, so that's gonna be my answer.
- 34:24Okay.
- 34:25Would you rather know everything your teenager's doing or know absolutely nothing?
- 34:31Unless they tell you.
- 34:32I'd rather know everything.
- 34:33Yeah?
- 34:35Yeah.
- 34:36I think I could handle it.
- 34:37Mm-hmm.
- 34:38What about you?
- 34:40Same.
- 34:42Tell me everything.
- 34:43Tell me all of the things.
- 34:44Tell me all the things.
- 34:46Yes.
- 34:46I, I need to know everything.
- 34:47I mean, I feel like that's a given about me.
- 34:51Okay.
- 34:52Let's end on this one.
- 34:53Okay.
- 34:54Would you rather go back and relive one day with your kids when they were little, knowing everything you know now- or jump ahead and spend one day with your family 20 years from now?
- 35:06That's, uh...
- 35:07I'm, like, at a loss.
- 35:08Do you know your answer?
- 35:12I don't know,'cause both sound fun, but I hope I get to do the, the day 20 years from now.
- 35:18So I think I would go back and spend- Right one day with, like, them little and squishy- Mm and know, like- you can just actually enjoy this day.
- 35:26Yeah.
- 35:27'Cause I don't remember a lot of days when they were little where I- Yeah like, fully enjoyed the day.
- 35:31Yeah, I think that now I would go back, I agree with you, like, I would go back especially, like, with both of them little, like, when they were- Little, little legit two under two.
- 35:41I was just, I was drowning, and so I would go back and I think just try to be very present in that moment.
- 35:49Yeah.
- 35:49Yeah.
- 35:50Oh, enjoy those little- Mm, mm-hmm squishy faces.
- 35:53Okay, so that was really fun.
- 35:55We are gonna close with our Pink Spotlight though.
- 35:59And our Pink Spotlight, in case you are new here, is our person, place, thing, tip, mantra of the week That's making our life a little bit better.
- 36:09Do you have one for us?
- 36:09I do.
- 36:10What is it?
- 36:10So I have a phone tip.
- 36:12A ph- I love your phone tips.
- 36:13So I feel like Christine might have shared this on our podcast- Okay'cause she was doing it.
- 36:18Mm-hmm.
- 36:18So I take the camera on my phone- Mm-hmm and I'll take a photo of, like, al- so, like, the kids are always getting, like, flyers and stuff sign up for this, do this, basketball, baseball, this, that, and the other thing, and a lot of things are, like, on paper flyers.
- 36:33Really?
- 36:34So I take photos of it- Mm-hmm and then I'll put it into Chat, and I say,"Add this onto my calendar," or,"Make me a reminder to sign up for this," or,"Do this or do that"- Great tip and it'll go onto my, it'll direct me right to a Google link- Mm-hmm for my, like, a Google Calendar invite, and it'll add it to that.
- 36:54So I actually, I put it to use last night because I had gotten an, a print home from Vincent's school, like, a month ago, like, m- in the first month of school that was like, sign up for ski club on October 6th.
- 37:06So I took a photo of it and I- Mm-hmm added a reminder and I- Mm-hmm set an alarm.
- 37:10Oh, smart.
- 37:11So at midnight I got woken up by an alarm waking me up to sign- To sign up?
- 37:15him up for ski club.
- 37:16Wow.
- 37:16And he got in, and I would always miss it because I would always miss it.
- 37:20You have to, like, be, like, one of the first ones to do it.
- 37:23Wow.
- 37:23So- Good tip.
- 37:24It's a great tip.
- 37:24I know, your phone tips have been amazing.
- 37:26It's a great tip.
- 37:27Everyone's loving them.
- 37:27They're going viral.
- 37:28You can just- You can just whip it out or- Yeah like, for instance, I got, what did I get another schedule for?
- 37:35Oh, I got, like, the CCD schedule on the- Right first day of CCD.
- 37:37Right.
- 37:37There was, like, 13 dates there.
- 37:40I took a picture of it, and I was like,"Make a Google Calendar invite for me"- Wow and it inputted them all into CCD.
- 37:46That is such a good tip.
- 37:47In there.
- 37:47And I have, I have to, like, give all of you moms and parents, like, a huge pat on the back because I feel like right now it is so, like, we always talk about the mental load of everything, but, like, you, there are handouts coming out and online and email and- Yeah text messages and God knows what else, like- Right apps and all this stuff.
- 38:07Some, some are- Like, there's so much to keep track of some overlap, some are different.
- 38:09Yeah.
- 38:10Yeah, and it's, like, yeah, some overlap.
- 38:11Like, you might get, like, a handout and it's on this calendar in the app, but it's, like, sometimes there's, like, one-offs of things, and it's, like, so much to keep track of.
- 38:20Like, you would think that having, a portal makes it easier, but it's, like, now you have to know the password for that, and are you logged in and all the...
- 38:27It is just so much to keep track of.
- 38:29Mm-hmm.
- 38:29It is a lot to keep track of.
- 38:30It's crazy.
- 38:30And now it's, like, online signups and stuff, so it's just, I've been in that position before where, like, you have to, like, literally be, like, woken up to sign your kid up for something- Mm-hmm and it's just ridiculous.
- 38:41Actually, even Vincent came into my room last night'cause he even got woken up by the alarm, and he's like,"Mom, did you do it?
- 38:47Did you do it?" And I'm like,"Yes, I got you a spot." Oh my God.
- 38:51"Go back to bed." Phew.
- 38:52You guys.
- 38:53But I understand the handouts because sometimes they want the kids to, like, see something- Yes to see if they, like, want to do it.
- 38:59Yes.
- 38:59You know, like,"Girl Scouts, do you wanna be a Girl Scout?" Right, right.
- 39:02"Do you wanna do basketball?
- 39:03Do you wanna do this?" And then there's other things that they, like, bypass the kids- Right and go right to the parents, like you know, faith formation- Yeah for their first communion.
- 39:11Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:12They're like,"We're not asking the kids." Right.
- 39:14"We're going straight to the mom." But it's just so much to keep track of, so I love that tip.
- 39:17So, yeah, so use that tip.
- 39:18That's so good.
- 39:19Yeah.
- 39:19Okay, love that.
- 39:20What about you?
- 39:21Okay, mine this week is the jeans that I'm wearing.
- 39:23I found these on Amazon.
- 39:25They are, like, the sweatpants- Ooh jeans that I think Frame had them last year.
- 39:30Who had them?
- 39:31Like, one of the designers had them.
- 39:32It looks- And I couldn't get my hands- They look like your Mother jeans.
- 39:33Yes, they do, and they are, they, here, feel them.
- 39:37Pull on them.
- 39:39They are so stretchy.
- 39:41They literally feel, they're like a wide leg.
- 39:44I like your top, too.
- 39:44Thank you.
- 39:45But they feel like legit sweatpants, and so I got them in two washes.
- 39:49They are an Amazon find, and I feel like Amazon is very hit or miss.
- 39:53So when I recommend something from Amazon, it's'cause I did the work.
- 39:56When you are, are shopping on Amazon and you are doing the work- Mm-hmm take me behind the scenes, a little bit of the work.
- 40:00How do you even know where to start?
- 40:02So a lot of it is just, like, trial and error.
- 40:05And and a lot of it is once I find a brand on Amazon, and this is kind of how I am in general, like, once I find a brand that fits me or that I like the quality of I don't, like, deviate a ton from that.
- 40:18So there's a shoe brand called, I think it's called Cutko or Cucco or something.
- 40:24Oh, Cont- I thought it was Contigo.
- 40:26So I know what you're talking about.
- 40:27Yeah.
- 40:28I- I can't think of the name right now.
- 40:28And I- We'll find it for you I found a pair of shoes from there.
- 40:32Mm-hmm.
- 40:32And they were, like, an A plus, and then I ordered the next pair, and they're, like, an A plus.
- 40:36And so then I'm not ordering another brand.
- 40:39Like, that's where I get my shoes from Amazon.
- 40:41And those are Amazon brands?
- 40:42For instance- They're not, no, they're not, like, an Amazon brand.
- 40:45They're just a brand on Amazon.
- 40:46Okay.
- 40:46But I feel like usually once you kind of are in with something and you're like,"This is working," it's usually pretty consistent.
- 40:54Okay.
- 40:55And so this these jeans I don't know, remember exactly how I found them, but it's, a lot of it's ordering.
- 41:02And, like, I had ordered a couple of pairs of jeans, and, like, what I didn't like, like, went back.
- 41:06So it's, a lot of it's trial and error, and now I know I like this brand.
- 41:10And I ordered another pair in, like, a different style, and they're the same.
- 41:13Okay.
- 41:13You know what I mean?
- 41:13Like, it's, so it's kind of, don't recreate the wheel all the time.
- 41:17Like, if you find something that works, go back to that brand and see what else they have.
- 41:23And then share it with your friends and family.
- 41:24Yes.
- 41:24Which is that would, that's what you're doing right now.
- 41:26Yes.
- 41:26You did the Lord's work for us.
- 41:27I did.
- 41:27So I found sweatpants jeans.
- 41:28They're, like, under, I think they were under$70, and, like, the designer ones were, like, 2 or$300.
- 41:34Like- Yeah.
- 41:35So, but they feel just like them'cause I had tried them on.
- 41:37Those are really cute.
- 41:37I like them a lot.
- 41:37They're so cute.
- 41:38Yeah.
- 41:38I'm actually gonna travel in them, too.
- 41:40I feel, that's how comfortable they are.
- 41:41Overnight you're gonna travel in them?
- 41:42Yes.
- 41:43I can- No way.
- 41:44Yeah, because when I wake up- I'm surprised you're not gonna be- I wanna be in, You wanna be ready to go.
- 41:47Yes, I wanna be ready to go,'cause we have, like, a whole day planned.
- 41:50And then also to that effect, I found a dupe for the Aritzia Lodge pants.
- 41:54That took me- No way trial and error, six different orders, and I found one.
- 41:59On Amazon?
- 41:59On Amazon.
- 42:00So they're, I think they're under 50, and the real ones are, like, 150 or something.
- 42:05In the which material?
- 42:06In, like, that crepe material?
- 42:07In the crepe material.
- 42:09And so some of it is just- you gotta take my word for it.
- 42:12Like, I've ordered, I've done it.
- 42:15These are the ones.
- 42:16Oh, I can't wait to see how that outfit check.
- 42:17Yeah.
- 42:17So I'll link both of those for you guys because they're both great dupes.
- 42:21Well, I love a dupe.
- 42:22And we love that.
- 42:23I love a dupe.
- 42:23So all right, guys.
- 42:24All right.
- 42:25Thank you so, so much.
- 42:26We will see you guys next week.
- 42:28Have a great trip.
- 42:29Bye.
- 42:30Oh, my goodness.
- 42:30Bye.
