Nine Hours Beside a Stranger
On a nine-hour flight, I found myself sitting incredibly close to a person I had never met, sharing an armrest, meals, sleeping space, and the same journey across thousands of kilometres. Yet we didn't exchange a single word. It made me think about how unusual air travel really is and how physically close we can be to another human being while knowing absolutely nothing about their life. Every stranger has a story, and sometimes an entire life can sit just centimetres away from ours before landing, standing up, and disappearing in a completely different direction.
