- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous in Depth. Hello, everyone,
- 0:05Speaker 1: welcome to the Almost of His podcast. Today is a
- 0:08Speaker 1: very special edition because we have Aaron on Aaron Clancy
- 0:15Speaker 1: to discuss this time in Paradise and all the rumors
- 0:18Speaker 1: that are going around via reality Steve so Um, Ben,
- 0:23Speaker 1: would you like to do the honors of bringing Aaron
- 0:26Speaker 1: into the room. I would love to Aaron. Welcome to
- 0:30Speaker 1: the Almost Famous podcast. Thank you for having me. Aaron,
- 0:36Speaker 1: you're here today. You've been pretty quiet since Paradise. Is
- 0:40Speaker 1: this your first interview? This is yeah, this is my
- 0:43Speaker 1: first interview since Paradise. Well, the elephant in the room
- 0:47Speaker 1: is obviously that Genevieve was just on UM last week,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and uh, you know, our theme, especially coming off a Paradise,
- 0:55Speaker 1: there's been a lot of wild storylines, uh, coming post
- 0:59Speaker 1: Paradise ice that we didn't necessarily get to watch during
- 1:01Speaker 1: Paradise has been this Aaron. Just let you know, Ah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: there's always three versions of the truth. There's my truth,
- 1:08Speaker 1: there's your truth, and then there's the truth. And so
- 1:11Speaker 1: our goal, uh is just to hear your story, to
- 1:16Speaker 1: hear um and to also ask you some of the
- 1:19Speaker 1: questions that were obviously brought up during the interview with Genevieve,
- 1:22Speaker 1: and then some of the questions have been brought up
- 1:24Speaker 1: post show from Reality Steve and other UM networks. Those
- 1:29Speaker 1: things need to be confronted or they just sit out
- 1:31Speaker 1: there and people assume their own things. And so thanks
- 1:35Speaker 1: for joining us, Thanks for letting this be your first interview. Yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 1: of course, that's why I'm here definitely to uh to
- 1:41Speaker 1: you know, you know, share my share my truth here
- 1:44Speaker 1: for sure. Should we just start with Paradise for a sect,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I guess I, um, yeah, let's let's talk about the moment,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the the itch versus moments, because that was like, well,
- 1:59Speaker 1: that was a big fight that kind of led to
- 2:02Speaker 1: the end. Right, We've looked it up, Aaron and An
- 2:06Speaker 1: apparently is not pained, So so okay, yes, and I
- 2:11Speaker 1: looked it up like six months ago, right as well. Um,
- 2:15Speaker 1: so all the people bombarding me via social media like
- 2:19Speaker 1: I know, okay, I was wrong, I I So that's
- 2:23Speaker 1: something I learned in school. Now the thing is behind
- 2:26Speaker 1: the scenes, obviously, there's a lot of interactions people don't see. Um,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm allergic to bug bites, like mosquito bites. I got
- 2:33Speaker 1: bit by a spider. Um, my legs swelled up. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: was on antibiotics and I was also pad on paradise. Yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I was. I was taking a la sick medication to
- 2:43Speaker 1: like drain my ankle. It's like a water pill. Um.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So I was seeing the doctor every day and I
- 2:49Speaker 1: was itching incredibly right, and then I just my mind
- 2:53Speaker 1: was on that because it was it was to the
- 2:55Speaker 1: point where it was so it was itching so much
- 2:58Speaker 1: was painful. I remembered back, Okay, now we have more context,
- 3:04Speaker 1: well my earlier days in school. Um and and uh
- 3:09Speaker 1: I brought that up seemingly super random obviously archaic research
- 3:14Speaker 1: at this point, but um, but you know that's why. Essentially,
- 3:18Speaker 1: so it wasn't the best mood. I was hobbling around
- 3:20Speaker 1: on a on a one good leg. But um, yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I regret the whole thing. Obviously. It was just so dumb. So,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I mean, Paradise seems like the worst place for you,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and you've done it twice now, right, it does not
- 3:33Speaker 1: seem like a very good place for me now. Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But bugs everywhere, I mean, all actually talks about when
- 3:39Speaker 1: we get into the nitty gritty of Paradise is the
- 3:41Speaker 1: bugs flying around the creatures that exist in your bed,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you go down there allergic to this, It makes sense
- 3:48Speaker 1: now that you got what kind of bug bite was it? Dude?
- 3:53Speaker 1: So I don't know, Um they So the first bug
- 3:56Speaker 1: bite I got was on my leg and it got
- 3:58Speaker 1: so big it was like as big as a tennis
- 4:01Speaker 1: ball around and it was black, and then my whole
- 4:04Speaker 1: leg swung up though. Yeah, so the doctor was like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: this is a spider. And they were actually worried about
- 4:10Speaker 1: it because the center of it got really like soft
- 4:12Speaker 1: and like just disgusting. So they were like, yo, if
- 4:15Speaker 1: this was like a really dangerous spider and your flesh
- 4:18Speaker 1: is going to chrotic, you gotta, you know, leave right
- 4:21Speaker 1: and so um they put me on a bunch of
- 4:23Speaker 1: antibiotics kind of right away, and and and and it helps.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So that's why I didn't leave. But I grew up
- 4:30Speaker 1: in southern California. There's not a lot of bugs, so
- 4:32Speaker 1: I didn't know I was allergic till my first time
- 4:35Speaker 1: in Paradise. Man. That see, context is important here. So
- 4:39Speaker 1: you were experiencing pain from a bite. It just isn't
- 4:44Speaker 1: necessarily defined by the itching is pain. But you were
- 4:47Speaker 1: experiencing pain from a bite from an itch. Yeah, well
- 4:51Speaker 1: like like thirteen bites at that point. Yeah, because I
- 4:54Speaker 1: have Type O positive blood and like I run super
- 4:57Speaker 1: hot at night, so apparently I was just you could
- 5:00Speaker 1: like Johnny was my bed, my bunk mate, so I
- 5:03Speaker 1: would I would absolutely cut myself in bug spright before
- 5:05Speaker 1: I went to sleep, plus the sweat. So I'm glucky
- 5:08Speaker 1: I didn't break out in a bunch of acting. But yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I was disgusting just every once in a while when
- 5:17Speaker 1: I hear these stories, I'm like, I was so glad
- 5:19Speaker 1: that they asked me to lead this show for a season,
- 5:21Speaker 1: so I never well, I guess that doesn't always discount
- 5:24Speaker 1: somebody from going on, but I'm just glad that that
- 5:26Speaker 1: never existed for me because I would not have done well. Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and my mom's from the Caribbean too, which is uh,
- 5:33Speaker 1: turned out to Bago a bunch of bugs out there. Um,
- 5:36Speaker 1: so you wouldn't think you would think I'd be resistant
- 5:39Speaker 1: or something penetically, but but no, it's I can't handle
- 5:42Speaker 1: spicy food. I got that from my dad and apparently
- 5:45Speaker 1: allergic to mosquito bites, so not built for it. Goodness,
- 5:50Speaker 1: just what a start to the podcast, I mean, just
- 5:52Speaker 1: learning new things every day about you, Aaron. Um, I
- 5:56Speaker 1: mean I felt like I was maybe silly bringing up
- 5:58Speaker 1: that argument first, and we have like a lot more
- 5:59Speaker 1: serire these things. I was like, you know what, this
- 6:01Speaker 1: will be fun everything, so I have I don't react
- 6:04Speaker 1: the best. Sometimes my behavior can be up and down,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but I'm always honest, so I'll tell you what you
- 6:09Speaker 1: want to hear. Okay, well, let's talk about just your
- 6:12Speaker 1: relationship in general. Genevieve in Paradise was tumultuous, was always
- 6:16Speaker 1: up and down. Why did you stick it through till
- 6:20Speaker 1: the end, Because I'll just say it, when you come
- 6:23Speaker 1: out and you hear that you've had girls back at
- 6:26Speaker 1: home and then you you kind of have this up
- 6:29Speaker 1: and down, not so fun relationship with Genevieve. It looks
- 6:33Speaker 1: to an outsider as if maybe you were hanging around
- 6:37Speaker 1: just to the very last day so that you could
- 6:39Speaker 1: get as much screen time as possible instead of just
- 6:42Speaker 1: breaking up with her when it was bad, or you
- 6:44Speaker 1: guys breaking up in general. I guess when it's bad,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but I get how it can look like that. Like
- 6:50Speaker 1: and that's why I went on this podcast, because I
- 6:52Speaker 1: see things like that on the internet and it's just
- 6:55Speaker 1: simply not the case. Like realistically, Genevieve and I, you know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: we connected on a lot of levels and and I
- 7:03Speaker 1: know they show the ups and downs and and people
- 7:05Speaker 1: kind of focus on the down, but we really had, um,
- 7:09Speaker 1: this very strong connection. And and you know, if you
- 7:12Speaker 1: you kinda when we're not focusing on the fights on
- 7:15Speaker 1: the on camera, like you see little b roll clips
- 7:18Speaker 1: of her sitting on me, we're kissing, We're always hanging out,
- 7:21Speaker 1: like floating around the pool whatever. Um, And that's because
- 7:24Speaker 1: of those real feelings now like essentially at the end
- 7:29Speaker 1: of the day, Um, we didn't have any moral like
- 7:33Speaker 1: issues like I wasn't pro choice, she was pro life
- 7:36Speaker 1: or something. We didn't have any like, Um, there weren't
- 7:40Speaker 1: any fundamental issues in our person that led us to
- 7:44Speaker 1: those fights. They were always um like they were always
- 7:49Speaker 1: miscommunication or or just um, you know, the beach can
- 7:53Speaker 1: get the better sometimes, you know, and and it can
- 7:56Speaker 1: whether it's you know, for her like she she like
- 7:59Speaker 1: a you see it's hot like bug bites myself included, UM,
- 8:03Speaker 1: we're just more irritable in general, and so we would
- 8:07Speaker 1: I was, at least I can say I was, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: so it would let leads to um like, uh, interactions
- 8:12Speaker 1: that were just that we're dumb miscommunications and so in
- 8:16Speaker 1: my experience, the best way to get over misscommunications is
- 8:21Speaker 1: to get to know someone better, learn how to communicate
- 8:24Speaker 1: with them better. And for me, that's like the one
- 8:26Speaker 1: thing we don't have in Paradise, which is time. So
- 8:28Speaker 1: for me it was like, okay, it's versus pain. That's
- 8:31Speaker 1: not worth uh ending this relationship for so I want
- 8:36Speaker 1: to fix this and then spend more time with her
- 8:39Speaker 1: and try to learn how to communicate with her better.
- 8:41Speaker 1: There's some very like i'd say, simple straightforward questions. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: think it's the best way to get to you know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: you explaining your side of the story, or you explaining
- 8:53Speaker 1: the truth to the story, even if it's not pretty
- 8:55Speaker 1: and good. UM. I just want to take two off
- 8:58Speaker 1: the top here. One is, you know last year during Paradise,
- 9:01Speaker 1: the big thing that you confronted this year during Paradise
- 9:04Speaker 1: was that you were quick tempered, uh, that you get
- 9:07Speaker 1: upset easily. That was something that was brought up I
- 9:10Speaker 1: think once this year, but it was also maybe the
- 9:12Speaker 1: biggest hit on you last year that you were working through.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I'm assuming over the last twelve months before this season
- 9:19Speaker 1: of Paradise, can you walk us through that journey? And
- 9:23Speaker 1: do you still consider yourself quick tempered? Is it something
- 9:26Speaker 1: that is a weakness of yours? And then you know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: how are you dealing with that? Yeah? You know what?
- 9:33Speaker 1: In real life, I don't get mad very often. UM.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm someone that like will leave the room as opposed
- 9:42Speaker 1: to UM a confrontation. Now I don't in Paradise. You
- 9:46Speaker 1: don't really have that option. So I can get um,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I can't. I can't get riled up pretty pretty pretty easily. UM.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So it you know, in these circumstances with her, like
- 9:59Speaker 1: she you know, her and I both get riled up
- 10:01Speaker 1: pretty easy. And and if you watched the season back,
- 10:05Speaker 1: like there are times where she's emotionally very um like
- 10:10Speaker 1: charged and and I've calmed it down and there and
- 10:14Speaker 1: then there are emotionally there are times where I'm emotionally
- 10:16Speaker 1: charged and and and then she gets emotionally charged because
- 10:21Speaker 1: I'm mostly charged. But there's never really a moment where
- 10:24Speaker 1: like I was upset and she calmed me down, because
- 10:28Speaker 1: that was not really the dynamic we had and I
- 10:31Speaker 1: really needed sometimes like an emotional safe space, and like
- 10:35Speaker 1: what I would do in that scenario would be to
- 10:38Speaker 1: leave and and try to Um, Like, once Justin came
- 10:41Speaker 1: down and I and I got upset, I would want
- 10:44Speaker 1: to leave and kind of deal with it myself, which
- 10:46Speaker 1: which isn't the best way and in fact a bad way,
- 10:49Speaker 1: because what I would end up doing is is kind
- 10:51Speaker 1: of bottling it up. Um. And then and then I
- 10:54Speaker 1: really seen paradise one. At one point I was brought
- 10:57Speaker 1: to tears, um, and I was really sad, and the
- 10:59Speaker 1: very next day I was very mad, right, so the
- 11:02Speaker 1: matt the sad turned to mad really quick. I was
- 11:04Speaker 1: bottling it up, um, and I just needed to be
- 11:07Speaker 1: able to communicate in a more healthy way and not
- 11:09Speaker 1: bottle up my emotions and just be able to communicate
- 11:13Speaker 1: my concerns at the time. Yeah, So it was is all.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I mean, it was on me, like when I whenever
- 11:17Speaker 1: I get like upset to I can be kind of condescending.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I could be a dick, you know, And that's something
- 11:23Speaker 1: I definitely need to change for sure. Um. And that's
- 11:25Speaker 1: something you saw on screen. You said that you guys
- 11:39Speaker 1: didn't really have any big like value or personality differences
- 11:45Speaker 1: that made you clash. But I hear you saying this,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and I think that maybe the fact that you guys
- 11:50Speaker 1: both deal with frustration in similar ways, getting all riled up,
- 11:55Speaker 1: like you said, perhaps was a big red flag that
- 11:59Speaker 1: you as wouldn't be compatible long term. So why did
- 12:02Speaker 1: it take so long for you to make that decision
- 12:04Speaker 1: to split? You know what? UM, I'm honestly, I had
- 12:07Speaker 1: never thought about it that way, not even until you
- 12:10Speaker 1: just said that right now, UM, Like I had never
- 12:13Speaker 1: once thought about that. In particular, it was always, UM,
- 12:18Speaker 1: if if we learned how to communicate or speak to
- 12:22Speaker 1: each other and we got out of this um, these
- 12:26Speaker 1: these little little things that blew up like, we would
- 12:30Speaker 1: be better. But I never thought about it that way
- 12:32Speaker 1: until just now. So you were under the assumption that
- 12:35Speaker 1: these arguments, um, disagreements would make you stronger as a couple.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You would learn from each other from the way you reacted. Yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I mean no, I was. I view that not the
- 12:48Speaker 1: argument itself had a beneficial but but that it could
- 12:51Speaker 1: have been avoided if we knew each other better. Essentially,
- 12:56Speaker 1: so it's like we spent some more time together, we
- 12:58Speaker 1: we understood each other's love languages. Like realistically we have
- 13:02Speaker 1: three weeks and UM worth throwing like you know how
- 13:06Speaker 1: how it works, like you're the producer, study curveballs as
- 13:09Speaker 1: much as many obstacles as you can as you can
- 13:11Speaker 1: have and handle, and so UM realistically like I was,
- 13:16Speaker 1: I was, I was hoping that UM, we would just
- 13:19Speaker 1: be able to communicate better and things would get better
- 13:21Speaker 1: towards the end. It's UH. Actually asked the question UM
- 13:26Speaker 1: a few questions ago that UM is assuming the probably
- 13:33Speaker 1: the heaviest topic thing coming off of the show for you,
- 13:36Speaker 1: which was that you were dating somebody else coming on
- 13:38Speaker 1: the show. I don't know if you've had a chance
- 13:41Speaker 1: to listen to the Genevieve interview that we did UM,
- 13:44Speaker 1: but UH, she spoke that it was actually two people
- 13:47Speaker 1: that you were dating. Uh. One person, UM decided to
- 13:51Speaker 1: not continue the relationship with you. The other person did
- 13:55Speaker 1: UM when you went on the show, and it was
- 13:57Speaker 1: kind of a waiting game to see how the show
- 13:59Speaker 1: went for you. You on if that relationship would continue.
- 14:03Speaker 1: With that question being asked, I think we have to
- 14:05Speaker 1: ask you were you dating somebody coming onto the show?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Were you dating multiple people coming onto the show? No? No,
- 14:11Speaker 1: So that so that's the main reason I went on
- 14:13Speaker 1: this podcast is to address that that's just simply not
- 14:17Speaker 1: true at all. Right, So, like I'll just walk you
- 14:20Speaker 1: through the timeline. So essentially, like I was dating this
- 14:24Speaker 1: last year. First off, I went on, I was dating
- 14:28Speaker 1: two separate people, right, and one person in particular, the
- 14:32Speaker 1: person that's releasing text messages are saying, um, certain things
- 14:38Speaker 1: about me that that relationship ended. Um, that ended almost
- 14:43Speaker 1: a year ago, right, Um, a little bit less. But
- 14:47Speaker 1: but then and then, and then essentially I started dating
- 14:49Speaker 1: someone else. Now the other person, Like I get where
- 14:53Speaker 1: the anger comes in, and we and I have text
- 14:55Speaker 1: messages and all sorts of stuff with this girl. But um,
- 14:58Speaker 1: the other person, the the next person was one of
- 15:01Speaker 1: my best friends for four years. Right, There's there's a
- 15:03Speaker 1: lot of history there. She had another boyfriend vast majority
- 15:06Speaker 1: of our relationship. Um, it became romantic at the end,
- 15:09Speaker 1: but we we really got along. So there was a
- 15:12Speaker 1: there was a certain element of like, we can move
- 15:15Speaker 1: quicker because we had so many so much history as friends. Right.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The relationship ended the very next month. I was dating
- 15:22Speaker 1: someone else. Right Now, that right there is a little
- 15:25Speaker 1: bit close for comfort for anyone. I get it. But
- 15:28Speaker 1: there was no cross over there now any sort of
- 15:32Speaker 1: and and that girl, that previous girl like that that
- 15:35Speaker 1: was upset by this me moving on so quickly. Um,
- 15:38Speaker 1: because just just for clarity's sake, Yeah, this might be disrespectful,
- 15:42Speaker 1: but I think it's just just to not use the names.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Can we say, like girl a girl? Yeah, yeah, that
- 15:49Speaker 1: makes sense. So girl A UM was upset that I
- 15:53Speaker 1: moved on so quickly to girl B. Right. Girl B
- 15:55Speaker 1: was in my life for four plus years. Um, great
- 15:59Speaker 1: friend mine. Right. I had a boyfriend, um, you know,
- 16:04Speaker 1: most of the relationship, but we were great friends. Now
- 16:07Speaker 1: girl A um was upset by that me moving on
- 16:10Speaker 1: so quickly, right, but she and she lashed out at
- 16:14Speaker 1: me over it, right. Um. And and you know this
- 16:17Speaker 1: is a little piece of anecdote evidence to what type
- 16:19Speaker 1: of person this is, because I never want to speak
- 16:21Speaker 1: ill on anyone. But I saw her at a bar
- 16:23Speaker 1: and heard her friends. Uh, she started rumored that I
- 16:26Speaker 1: was gay because I left with James, and they all
- 16:29Speaker 1: screamed homophobic slurs at me in the bar, right, Um
- 16:33Speaker 1: to bully me essentially, right, So I've moved you know, whatever,
- 16:36Speaker 1: move on whatever. Now this girl, um, that girl be right,
- 16:42Speaker 1: we're we're seeing each other. Um. But we're we're great friends,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but we were not really like that compatible relationship wise,
- 16:51Speaker 1: especially at that time. Um, so we we have blow out,
- 16:55Speaker 1: a couple of blowout fights. We we don't talk for
- 16:57Speaker 1: months right now, Girl A um thinks we're just in
- 17:01Speaker 1: a happy relationship the whole time, because she's not involved
- 17:04Speaker 1: in our in my life whatsoever, or at least she
- 17:07Speaker 1: or at least she that's what she says. So essentially,
- 17:10Speaker 1: all those texts you see are her reaching out Girl
- 17:14Speaker 1: AID to Girl B and saying that I was like
- 17:18Speaker 1: seeing both of them simultaneously right now. That is something
- 17:23Speaker 1: that played on girl bees in securities at the time,
- 17:26Speaker 1: like etcetera. Um, they riled each other up in a conversation.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You're seeing a little bits of that in the screenshots.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And then when I essentially talked to girl Be again,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I give her my phone. I'm like, hey, look at
- 17:39Speaker 1: the look at the receipts right, look at all the
- 17:41Speaker 1: text look at whatever. She sees that. Girl A is like,
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm not over you. I wanna you know, I wanna
- 17:46Speaker 1: I want to see you, blah blah blah, and sees
- 17:47Speaker 1: that it was all kind of bullshit and the situation
- 17:50Speaker 1: was resolved right, and it was resolved months ago, and
- 17:53Speaker 1: and that was good enough for her. It should be
- 17:55Speaker 1: good enough for everyone else because at the end of
- 17:57Speaker 1: the day, there was no crossover. I was not dating
- 18:00Speaker 1: multiple people. I was not in a committed relationship with
- 18:03Speaker 1: like either one of them at any point. Um. And realistically,
- 18:07Speaker 1: going into Paradise with a girlfriend like that is something
- 18:12Speaker 1: that like is is I want to say, a rookie
- 18:16Speaker 1: mistake because of like the people that do it. But
- 18:18Speaker 1: this is my second time on the beach, and the
- 18:21Speaker 1: producers are my friends. Like they, like I told, going
- 18:25Speaker 1: into paradise, they call you, they're asking you who you've
- 18:29Speaker 1: been dating, are you single? Whatever? I listed out these
- 18:31Speaker 1: people's names. They know exactly who these people are. Um,
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm best friends with producers as well, like they they
- 18:37Speaker 1: were they were aware of my dating history. Um, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: they know exactly who these people are in the timeline.
- 18:44Speaker 1: So that's why it's like not it's just it's just
- 18:47Speaker 1: not even realistic. Um. And it's and it's and it's upsetting.
- 18:52Speaker 1: So this this person, girl A who called me homophobic
- 18:55Speaker 1: slurs in the bar um took to reality Steve and
- 19:00Speaker 1: essentially uh gave him like some sort of fake story
- 19:05Speaker 1: to bully me online. Like the credibility of this person
- 19:09Speaker 1: is ridiculous and it's so vicious it actually makes me
- 19:11Speaker 1: sick to my stomach because like, the one thing I
- 19:13Speaker 1: do is I don't lie to people. I don't play people.
- 19:16Speaker 1: When I was younger, uh, late teens, very early twenties, like,
- 19:20Speaker 1: there was a situation where I wasn't super honest in
- 19:23Speaker 1: a relationship and I ended up hurting people I truly love,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and so I will never do that again. Um. And
- 19:29Speaker 1: and this situation itself is just fabricated completely, and and
- 19:34Speaker 1: it's and it's quite upsetting. A little confused about the
- 19:38Speaker 1: timeline because from what I believe, from what I've heard
- 19:44Speaker 1: from the sources and realities even all that there was
- 19:48Speaker 1: the friend that you had for many years, she broke
- 19:51Speaker 1: up with her boyfriend, and then there was some sort
- 19:53Speaker 1: of romance, but then there was also another girl involved
- 19:56Speaker 1: at the time, and you you just said that that
- 19:59Speaker 1: really and ship had been over. Girl A. You're saying, girl,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I think you said that girl A was it's been
- 20:07Speaker 1: over for over a year. But from what I've heard,
- 20:11Speaker 1: it sounded like it was just about this time last
- 20:14Speaker 1: year that you started things with girl A and then
- 20:16Speaker 1: things started to sort of cool down in April, like
- 20:19Speaker 1: a month and a half before Paradise. I get what
- 20:21Speaker 1: you're saying. So realistically, no, that timeline is shifted and
- 20:25Speaker 1: it's wrong. Um, there is blurred lines with if you
- 20:28Speaker 1: count like texting, like there was communication to its texting
- 20:31Speaker 1: with this person. Um. But like realistically, the relationship with
- 20:36Speaker 1: girl A started about September because she attended my birthday
- 20:41Speaker 1: see see yeah yeah, over over a year ago, right,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and then the relationship I don't remember exactly when I
- 20:48Speaker 1: have to double check, but um, around January is when?
- 20:52Speaker 1: Is when that when that changed? Right? Now? There was
- 20:55Speaker 1: there was texting involved right that she was communicating I
- 20:59Speaker 1: was in this girl, be I wasn't. It's not like
- 21:02Speaker 1: immediately that girl's my girlfriend now like we're we're starting
- 21:05Speaker 1: to hang out. You know that other girl screamed like
- 21:08Speaker 1: her friends bullied me in a bar, like I can't
- 21:10Speaker 1: get over that. Um, So I didn't want to see her.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I was quite angry, uh, and so but I would
- 21:16Speaker 1: text her back, right and I didn't feel any Um,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I didn't feel guilty about texting her while I was
- 21:22Speaker 1: seeing someone else because that to me is like I'm
- 21:26Speaker 1: not in a committed relationship, Like I can do whatever.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I can do whatever I want. Like,
- 21:31Speaker 1: but I wasn't texting her in that way. Um, it
- 21:35Speaker 1: was more of like communicating because there were still leftover
- 21:37Speaker 1: feelings there, but there was never any there was, Like
- 21:41Speaker 1: the whole thing was I was super transparent with everyone.
- 21:45Speaker 1: So then you started with girl B. Yeah, it feels
- 21:50Speaker 1: weird to categorize them this way, but I don't even
- 21:55Speaker 1: know their names, so I guess it's easier for me.
- 21:57Speaker 1: But so then girl BE and you start kind of
- 22:01Speaker 1: hanging out. You were friends, you start hanging out, the
- 22:03Speaker 1: romance starts. Win, Um, it starts. So we take a
- 22:08Speaker 1: trip to to Loom. The romance was there were there
- 22:12Speaker 1: were feelings there or like like there was the potential
- 22:16Speaker 1: of feelings that we're always riding that line throughout our
- 22:19Speaker 1: whole friendship. So the romance like started like January. I
- 22:25Speaker 1: say that's when we really took or or or or
- 22:28Speaker 1: or one was the trip because there's pictures. One was
- 22:32Speaker 1: exactly what I'm addressing it. Um, I believe it was January.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And so then that relationship ended when Um, that dude,
- 22:42Speaker 1: that ended like we we had to blowout fight into loom,
- 22:45Speaker 1: like it was too much, too fast, like essentially, so
- 22:48Speaker 1: uh it was. It was. We didn't talk for a
- 22:52Speaker 1: few months, like in March April, and then I was
- 22:56Speaker 1: asked back to Paradise essentially, and then I at dinner
- 23:00Speaker 1: with her and told her I was going to Paradise
- 23:03Speaker 1: on in May um and she was like, I'm fine
- 23:06Speaker 1: with that. So that's the thing too. If you look
- 23:08Speaker 1: at the screenshots, which is what like, I'm so annoyed by.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But if you read them, it says I'm not dating Aaron.
- 23:16Speaker 1: We're not I'm not his girlfriend, right, that's what girl?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Where does it say that? It says in the screenshots
- 23:21Speaker 1: in the first article he posted. It literally says that.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And then and this is from girl a girl. But
- 23:30Speaker 1: perhaps this was after you guys started cooling down. No,
- 23:35Speaker 1: this was I mean, well this was when. So the
- 23:38Speaker 1: text messages happened when I was in Paradise, Okay, yes, yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: so the text message happened when I was in Paradise.
- 23:45Speaker 1: The girl girl A reached out and said like something
- 23:48Speaker 1: about us me seeing both of them at the same time.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I don't know. And then the girl was like, I'm
- 23:53Speaker 1: not dating him, he's not my boyfriend, right, And then
- 23:57Speaker 1: reality Steve pivoted for me having a girlfriend's meet, playing
- 24:00Speaker 1: two girls at once. I'm just a piece of right, um,
- 24:03Speaker 1: which which I get to salvage his story or whatever.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But regardless, not neither one of those was true. The
- 24:09Speaker 1: first one is disproven by that text messages. The second
- 24:12Speaker 1: one is disproven by the fact of everything I just
- 24:14Speaker 1: said and the list out the timelines. I have my
- 24:16Speaker 1: own receipts for everything too, and like I don't. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: don't like to share text messages without consent of both parties,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and to me, it's just like lighting more of a fire.
- 24:25Speaker 1: But realistically, neither one of those things was true. So
- 24:29Speaker 1: then when was the last time you saw a girl
- 24:31Speaker 1: A in person? Literally like like, um, oh, I actually
- 24:36Speaker 1: did see her at a festival. She's she's dated two
- 24:39Speaker 1: people since and she had a boyfriend and I saw
- 24:42Speaker 1: he at a festival like walked by, but that was
- 24:44Speaker 1: in um, that was after that was realist um a
- 24:47Speaker 1: few months ago. Let me like at the straight So
- 25:01Speaker 1: it sounds like girl A maybe wasn't in a relationship
- 25:05Speaker 1: with you while you went into Paradise, So she's not
- 25:08Speaker 1: so much annoyed at the fact that you went to
- 25:10Speaker 1: Paradise as much as it was like you were dating
- 25:13Speaker 1: somebody at the same time, and it wasn't dating someone
- 25:17Speaker 1: at the same time, but what she was. But that's
- 25:20Speaker 1: what she said. Yes, she was. She was mad because
- 25:25Speaker 1: she wasn't over it and I moved on and she
- 25:29Speaker 1: what she did was essentially just lash out of me.
- 25:32Speaker 1: What brought on the breakup conversation that you had with
- 25:36Speaker 1: girl A, I, Well, I said it like essentially, there
- 25:39Speaker 1: was a few things, but she's young, she's twenty three, right, Um,
- 25:42Speaker 1: and the main issue I had was when she didn't
- 25:45Speaker 1: get something she wanted or we had a disagreement. What
- 25:48Speaker 1: she did was she she started rumor I was gay,
- 25:50Speaker 1: and she bullied me in a in a bar like
- 25:52Speaker 1: like she was screaming like they was screaming that I
- 25:54Speaker 1: was a homophobic slayers like that's not something that's acceptable.
- 25:59Speaker 1: UM's specially because she apologized to me. I would use
- 26:02Speaker 1: a long apology text too, because it was something that
- 26:06Speaker 1: was just like literally a rumor she started because she
- 26:08Speaker 1: was upset with me. So you had an ending conversation, Um, yeah, yeah,
- 26:16Speaker 1: we definitely did. We. I literally have screenshots with that
- 26:19Speaker 1: as well. I have everything in my computer. You should
- 26:21Speaker 1: send us the screenshots. I don't. Yeah, I can send you. Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 1: let's not. I don't need to get involved in. You
- 26:28Speaker 1: can send Ashley like I can send. I know, I
- 26:31Speaker 1: know you're you're playing Devil's Advocate a little bit here.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I can send you screenshots, but I just don't want
- 26:36Speaker 1: them like out necessarily. Well I won't. I won't put
- 26:38Speaker 1: them out there, but I would like to see for
- 26:40Speaker 1: proof for myself actually loves this. Well. Um, okay, so
- 26:45Speaker 1: the timeline makes sense to me what you're telling us.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Just to recap it for everybody listening, you were dating
- 26:52Speaker 1: um girl A. Uh that ended Uh let's say close
- 26:57Speaker 1: in January. You and girl B had already been friends.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You guys start romantically like being interested in each other
- 27:06Speaker 1: following that relationship with the girl A. That girl relationship
- 27:09Speaker 1: with a girl A just to confirm had been over.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's done. You removed this. There was no crossover. You're
- 27:15Speaker 1: saying there was no crossover now and also, uh, like again,
- 27:21Speaker 1: no crossover just because I wanted to avoid bad negative feelings,
- 27:25Speaker 1: but realistically I wasn't we were never in a relationship
- 27:28Speaker 1: as well with anyone. I was never in a relationship
- 27:30Speaker 1: with anyone. It's it's just like, how do you define
- 27:33Speaker 1: a relate? How do you define a relationship? Like do
- 27:36Speaker 1: you like to have the conversation like we're girlfriend and boyfriend? Yes,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and also um, like there has to be communication about
- 27:44Speaker 1: um where we are like, so yes, I would like
- 27:47Speaker 1: to have the conversation. But also there is always a
- 27:50Speaker 1: conversation about if we're seeing other people who were like
- 27:54Speaker 1: communicating with etcetera. This girl a when we were seeing
- 27:58Speaker 1: each other, she went to a loom with um, a
- 28:01Speaker 1: whole group of of guys and girls. And I wasn't there.
- 28:05Speaker 1: And I wasn't even at her birthday dinner. I wasn't
- 28:07Speaker 1: invited by her friends. Like I'm we weren't We weren't
- 28:10Speaker 1: even far along at all. For like, it just doesn't
- 28:14Speaker 1: it just doesn't make It doesn't make sense. So Aaron
- 28:18Speaker 1: within all of this because the timeline doesn't make sense.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You guys, girl be that relationship did not last long.
- 28:25Speaker 1: It doesn't sound um at all. Well, no, girl be, no,
- 28:30Speaker 1: haven't you been seen with her recently at your birthday
- 28:33Speaker 1: party over the fall? So my birthday party was in September. Yes,
- 28:38Speaker 1: so I um, I coming so coming back, Like I said,
- 28:43Speaker 1: she's been my friend for four years. Um, she is
- 28:46Speaker 1: in the same friend group in a lot of respects.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Initially when I came back, she didn't want to talk
- 28:54Speaker 1: to me because, um of the text messages you all
- 28:57Speaker 1: saw when you know I happened to see her because
- 29:01Speaker 1: we're all in the same friend group. Let me just say,
- 29:04Speaker 1: in the text messages that are posted to Reality Steve,
- 29:07Speaker 1: she says, um, like something along the lines of like
- 29:11Speaker 1: oh I won't be talking to him when he returned
- 29:13Speaker 1: or something like that. Yeah, yeah, exactly. So it was
- 29:17Speaker 1: I mean, like at the end of the day, like
- 29:19Speaker 1: it played on the insecurities that were already existing. Um,
- 29:23Speaker 1: so she she didn't essentially want to see me because
- 29:27Speaker 1: it was just believed blindly. Um. And and then when
- 29:31Speaker 1: I did see her, I've I realized how like what
- 29:35Speaker 1: was happening. I showed her my own receipts, and then
- 29:39Speaker 1: it fixed the situation, Like the whole thing was manipulated
- 29:43Speaker 1: to to destroy that relationship. And girl A was texting
- 29:48Speaker 1: me saying she's not over it, wants to see me.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Let's get coffee. And so it's like, realistically, she was
- 29:55Speaker 1: trying to destroy relationship with Girl B and then slide
- 29:59Speaker 1: in probably I don't know, but but the whole thing
- 30:01Speaker 1: is just manipulation. And and then once that was seen,
- 30:04Speaker 1: the like we were cool again, you know. So where
- 30:07Speaker 1: does the relationship exist now with girl Be? Um? So
- 30:12Speaker 1: that's really complicated. I'm not gonna lie. Um, and it's
- 30:15Speaker 1: something I don't necessarily want to put out there in
- 30:18Speaker 1: the public right now. Um, because there's been like she's
- 30:23Speaker 1: not on the show. I made a choice, even though
- 30:25Speaker 1: I didn't know exactly what the guy was doing, to
- 30:27Speaker 1: put myself in the public eye by going on this show. Um,
- 30:31Speaker 1: she didn't and this has been a huge violation of
- 30:33Speaker 1: her privacy already. UM, and I don't I don't want
- 30:37Speaker 1: to continue that. And so what we can take from
- 30:41Speaker 1: this is that, Um, Girl Be, I knew you were
- 30:47Speaker 1: going on the show. You guys had dinner. Uh, she
- 30:50Speaker 1: was okay with you going on Paradise. Um, you came
- 30:54Speaker 1: back from Paradise, she was really upset with you. Doesn't
- 30:56Speaker 1: want to talk to you. You guys have reconciled that,
- 30:58Speaker 1: and at least today you on speaking terms can we
- 31:01Speaker 1: say that is that fair? Yeah, I mean we're beyond
- 31:03Speaker 1: speaking terms. Where like we when we had dinner about
- 31:06Speaker 1: going to Paradise, she obviously want to hear that there
- 31:08Speaker 1: are feelings there, but we're friends and we're not. Like
- 31:12Speaker 1: there's a shelf life in this, in this whole thing.
- 31:14Speaker 1: And uh, they wanted me on Paradise, you know, they
- 31:17Speaker 1: try to sweeten the pot, you know, make it very
- 31:19Speaker 1: appealing for me to go. Um and and with her
- 31:23Speaker 1: like there we were barely talking for again after a
- 31:27Speaker 1: huge blowout fight for like like a couple of days.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Like that's not something like you can sacrifice the opportunity
- 31:34Speaker 1: for in my in my opinion, and she agreed with that. Um,
- 31:38Speaker 1: And then I went to give it a shot because
- 31:42Speaker 1: dating is very hard once you leave the show. I've found, um, like,
- 31:47Speaker 1: there's there's thousands of girls that message you or you
- 31:50Speaker 1: know that insecurity that can arise from people. You don't
- 31:54Speaker 1: ever know what people's true intentions are. So getting someone
- 31:58Speaker 1: in a in a relationship with someone that understands from
- 32:01Speaker 1: that unique perspective and going on the show was like
- 32:04Speaker 1: it was just so appealing to me, Like I really
- 32:06Speaker 1: really wanted to make it work with someone that was
- 32:09Speaker 1: in the same world, because I just felt like that
- 32:11Speaker 1: would be that was the answer to finding someone to
- 32:15Speaker 1: have a long term relationship with. Well, you called Genevieve
- 32:19Speaker 1: a friend. When you broke up with her, he said,
- 32:21Speaker 1: I see you was a really good friend and now
- 32:23Speaker 1: you're I said, well, that's not exactly what I said.
- 32:26Speaker 1: What I said was first and foremost, you're a great friend.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Because what I wanted to do was like she we
- 32:34Speaker 1: she's a she was a good girl. Like I viewed
- 32:36Speaker 1: her as a good person, and like, you can see
- 32:39Speaker 1: this girl's support people, Like, like, we didn't get along
- 32:43Speaker 1: that well, but from a support perspective, she's amazing. She
- 32:48Speaker 1: was helping everyone out. You know, she's a great friend
- 32:52Speaker 1: to people. And I didn't want her to I didn't
- 32:56Speaker 1: want it to be like negative, like like the bra cup.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I didn't want it to be a negative thing. I
- 33:02Speaker 1: just felt like it had gotten to the very end
- 33:04Speaker 1: and we still couldn't communicate, and so I wanted to
- 33:08Speaker 1: address the things that I saw in her that I
- 33:12Speaker 1: was really that that part of the reason why I
- 33:15Speaker 1: loved her so much, because it was like she is
- 33:18Speaker 1: kind and she's sweet, and she is a great friend
- 33:21Speaker 1: to people, and she supports myself included in a in
- 33:24Speaker 1: a lot of situations. So that's what I That's what
- 33:27Speaker 1: I was saying. I feel like maybe you use the
- 33:30Speaker 1: term friend sometimes with people who it's more than friends
- 33:34Speaker 1: with UM pretend I mean, potentially I can be guilty
- 33:39Speaker 1: of that. I'm not gonna I don't necessarily have a situation. UM.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Well that I guess that would mean like they have
- 33:46Speaker 1: another label, right, I don't know, like what you would
- 33:49Speaker 1: what you would use it, what you would say. Then
- 33:51Speaker 1: I guess I I use that as someone that UM
- 33:55Speaker 1: is close to me in in some sort of like connection.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I don't know. So possibly the girls did think that
- 34:02Speaker 1: you were more than friends when you were well, they
- 34:04Speaker 1: knew we were more than friends. For sure, you were
- 34:07Speaker 1: more than friends, Like we were romantic, you know, Um,
- 34:10Speaker 1: there was never a miscommunication there, um in terms of
- 34:14Speaker 1: where we stood. It wasn't like I was calling one
- 34:17Speaker 1: of friends. So I could like feel less guilty about
- 34:21Speaker 1: seeing someone else, like realistically we were romantic and then
- 34:26Speaker 1: we weren't at girlfriend boyfriend. We weren't committed at all.
- 34:29Speaker 1: You know. She has dated multiple people since, Like she
- 34:33Speaker 1: went to tuloom with the guy while we were seeing
- 34:35Speaker 1: each other that she saw afterwards. Um, so you know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: obviously I could have been something there, but that's not
- 34:40Speaker 1: something I was ever dwelling on because it was just
- 34:43Speaker 1: not where we were when you had dinner with girl,
- 34:46Speaker 1: um be talking about how you were going to paradise
- 34:49Speaker 1: and how she obviously was upset, Because yes, it does.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Even if you're not in a committed relationship. It's still
- 34:54Speaker 1: like hard but you're like crush you or like your
- 34:56Speaker 1: person with complicated feelings goes to paradise. I certainly had
- 35:00Speaker 1: a moment with high school girlfriends when I was the bachelor,
- 35:03Speaker 1: be like this is so odd, Like I don't think
- 35:06Speaker 1: it's like in ten years. Yeah, I totally understand that.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I'm glad we're finding some common ground. Yeah. Um, but
- 35:16Speaker 1: when when you had that conversation, was there like intention
- 35:19Speaker 1: to possibly rekindle things when you got back. No, No,
- 35:23Speaker 1: there wasn't like I've made up my decision, Like I
- 35:26Speaker 1: just felt just since she was so close to me, Um,
- 35:31Speaker 1: I had to keep that communication open. I just thought
- 35:34Speaker 1: it was inappropriate for her to find out with the
- 35:37Speaker 1: rest of America, you know, or whatever. So I wanted to.
- 35:41Speaker 1: There was no intention of rekindling. Um. There was the
- 35:45Speaker 1: intention of purely just open communication so that she wouldn't
- 35:50Speaker 1: be super upset when she saw me on the beach. Aaron,
- 36:05Speaker 1: there's one thing I have a massive problem with, sure,
- 36:09Speaker 1: And I just want to tell you because now, at
- 36:11Speaker 1: the time, because we're virtually talking to each other this
- 36:16Speaker 1: whole thing, right, it's impossible to um understand the emotions
- 36:21Speaker 1: and the feelings and how somebody felt about somebody and
- 36:24Speaker 1: what they were still holding onto and not holding onto. Right,
- 36:27Speaker 1: but giving your timeline, it makes sense to me, right
- 36:30Speaker 1: that that there laying out according to what you told us.
- 36:33Speaker 1: That makes sense on how this all existed. But then
- 36:36Speaker 1: this story gets released, UM, I don't know if you're
- 36:40Speaker 1: still paradise was airing when it gets released. It's obviously
- 36:44Speaker 1: hurtful for you, it's hurtful for the two other girls
- 36:47Speaker 1: involved them, assuming maybe not for the one that released them, Um,
- 36:50Speaker 1: but it's especially hurtful for Genevieve, who gave you her heart.
- 36:55Speaker 1: You know where you're going, I know where you're gone, Yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 1: go ahead. And she gave you her heart and she
- 37:00Speaker 1: believed in this. She was on the podcast there was
- 37:03Speaker 1: obviously deep feelings that she had for you, real feelings
- 37:05Speaker 1: that she had for you. She believed this was a
- 37:08Speaker 1: real thing and that she wanted it to be a
- 37:09Speaker 1: real thing, and I would argue strongly that that is
- 37:14Speaker 1: how she felt. Um, so this gets done. And then
- 37:17Speaker 1: she tells us you haven't even spoken to her, like
- 37:20Speaker 1: you didn't pick up the phone and or that you
- 37:23Speaker 1: didn't call her, You didn't text her, you didn't say, hey, Genevieve,
- 37:27Speaker 1: I know this stuff's out here. Can I explain myself?
- 37:29Speaker 1: Can we meet up? Can I see you? Can I
- 37:32Speaker 1: try to calm the storm, not for my own to
- 37:35Speaker 1: save face, but for your heart and for your mind.
- 37:39Speaker 1: And so you haven't done that, and I don't know why.
- 37:42Speaker 1: So I'll stop you right here. I did. I did
- 37:44Speaker 1: do that. Actually, I'll send you the text. I that
- 37:48Speaker 1: she's the keeper of the text. That's fair. You're saying
- 37:51Speaker 1: that you texted her after the show. No, yes, I did,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and I said I heard that you heard enough. She
- 37:57Speaker 1: heard nothing from you until the union read. I'll read
- 38:01Speaker 1: exactly what I wrote her, and then I won't read
- 38:04Speaker 1: exactly what she told me back, because that's just I
- 38:08Speaker 1: don't want that. Yeah, I need the date on this though,
- 38:13Speaker 1: is it so, Aaron? What Ashley saying is that she's
- 38:16Speaker 1: in an understanding this happened after the reunion show, so
- 38:20Speaker 1: that it didn't happen after okay. So but you didn't
- 38:23Speaker 1: talk to her for okay, you didn't talk to her
- 38:25Speaker 1: from there was there was no like we we had
- 38:29Speaker 1: left um and I didn't talk. I didn't. I wasn't
- 38:33Speaker 1: hoping to rekindle. Uh. So I didn't talk to her
- 38:36Speaker 1: until reunion, and then at reunion we were fine. Um.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Like the whole thing is I reached out to her
- 38:44Speaker 1: um because I wanted to I at first. So at
- 38:48Speaker 1: first what I was told was when this rumor got released,
- 38:53Speaker 1: the first thing that producers do is like they kind
- 38:55Speaker 1: of reach out, and so they reached out essentially, and
- 38:58Speaker 1: they told me she didn't care about it, So I didn't.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I didn't really care. But they did reach out after
- 39:03Speaker 1: the reunion, so it was kind of too late for everything, right,
- 39:05Speaker 1: I mean, I would I honestly wish this came out
- 39:07Speaker 1: before the reunion, like to certain degrees, so I could
- 39:10Speaker 1: like I have addressed it and not have have gone
- 39:12Speaker 1: through this whole process. Like the thing that like the
- 39:16Speaker 1: truth will set you free, right and and like, at
- 39:19Speaker 1: the end of the day, it's completely d s and
- 39:21Speaker 1: so I'm more than happy talking about at length with
- 39:24Speaker 1: anyone that wants to. Um, I do want to move
- 39:26Speaker 1: on with my life to a large extent, so I
- 39:29Speaker 1: don't want to necessarily dwell on this. I don't want
- 39:31Speaker 1: to shoot shots at anyone. Um. I get hurt people,
- 39:34Speaker 1: hurt people. So I get a lot of what like
- 39:37Speaker 1: is coming from from her targeted at me could be
- 39:40Speaker 1: just because she's upset with me, because she believes it, right,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I get that, And like I did want to give
- 39:46Speaker 1: her a call and talk about it one on one
- 39:50Speaker 1: versus social media or a podcast, right when she she
- 39:54Speaker 1: told me at the end of that text that she
- 39:56Speaker 1: doesn't want to listen to me on a call and
- 39:57Speaker 1: she doesn't want to talk to me. Right, unfortunate. I
- 40:01Speaker 1: did what I could. Um But so that's why I'm
- 40:04Speaker 1: going on this podcast to kind of set the record straight.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But um but I did one reach out to her.
- 40:10Speaker 1: But the angle but okay, but the angle there was,
- 40:13Speaker 1: you know, your upset with Genevieve for bad mouth in you.
- 40:15Speaker 1: That's fair. Like, I don't like that. I don't want
- 40:17Speaker 1: anybody bad mouthing me. Actually knows how upset I get
- 40:19Speaker 1: when people say bad things. Yeah, I get, I get distraught,
- 40:24Speaker 1: I lose myself. Um, But the tone of even your
- 40:30Speaker 1: message to her, I would say, if we were buddies
- 40:32Speaker 1: and we were sitting in the same room and you're like, hey,
- 40:34Speaker 1: I need a text, gene Vive, I need to explain
- 40:36Speaker 1: this to her, And I'm gonna say, Okay, what do
- 40:38Speaker 1: you want to tell her? And you're like, this is
- 40:40Speaker 1: the text I'm gonna send. I would have said no,
- 40:42Speaker 1: because that's not the purpose. The purpose is that she
- 40:45Speaker 1: believes this story, and so of course she's gonna be her.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Of course she's going to be upset. It's it's it's
- 40:52Speaker 1: if you want to really reach out to her. It's Genevieve,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I care about you. We broke up on a beach, um,
- 40:57Speaker 1: but I know this is real to you. I know
- 40:59Speaker 1: you leave this story. How can I like, how can
- 41:02Speaker 1: I help make sense of this for you? And not, Hey,
- 41:05Speaker 1: stop badmouthing me. Yeah, I mean you're super right. Like
- 41:08Speaker 1: at the end of the day, Like, I guess that
- 41:10Speaker 1: text was um A bit charged up because the reason
- 41:14Speaker 1: I like, I was just I felt a little bit
- 41:17Speaker 1: blindsided by like some tweets she sent out um and
- 41:21Speaker 1: and uh, and I got upset. I got hurt by that,
- 41:27Speaker 1: and because it was like I was told she didn't
- 41:30Speaker 1: necessarily care about it. To me, it was hard for
- 41:32Speaker 1: me to believe anyone actually believed it UM, because like
- 41:37Speaker 1: everyone is so into soft or hard launching relationships social media,
- 41:41Speaker 1: Like I had never had a relationship, and so I
- 41:44Speaker 1: and I thought everyone would. It was just like stupid.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I just thought. I was like, this is like, no,
- 41:48Speaker 1: there's no white people believe this. UM. But then when
- 41:51Speaker 1: she did that, I reached out because I was also
- 41:53Speaker 1: kind of upset because she didn't even um like like
- 41:58Speaker 1: like she knew me very well, like I'm not that guy.
- 42:00Speaker 1: So it's like it was hard for me to believe
- 42:02Speaker 1: that she wouldn't um like even even give me the
- 42:06Speaker 1: benefit of the doubt a little bit. I don't know,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I just got upset. Yeah, so you're upset that she
- 42:10Speaker 1: was tweeting things, and you're like, you know me, why
- 42:13Speaker 1: do you, like, why are you out here to make
- 42:15Speaker 1: this harder on me? And you de text out of
- 42:18Speaker 1: reaction and not necessarily out of like a place of
- 42:22Speaker 1: understanding the holistic side of the story. Yeah, especially because
- 42:27Speaker 1: I get kind of like a little bit weird about
- 42:30Speaker 1: contestants bash and contestants online because she was getting quite
- 42:35Speaker 1: a bit of hate at the beginning, and so and
- 42:38Speaker 1: I've gotten hate, and so I like, we're very familiar
- 42:40Speaker 1: with how bad that feels. So I was very like,
- 42:44Speaker 1: why would you consciously send hate towards someone knowing how
- 42:48Speaker 1: bad it feels, especially because I mean, if I deserved it,
- 42:53Speaker 1: like that would be one thing, it would be much
- 42:54Speaker 1: easier for me to try to like put my head down.
- 42:56Speaker 1: But like, realistically, after everything that has been and said
- 43:00Speaker 1: to me and what what has been deemed as true
- 43:03Speaker 1: by people online, I don't deserve it, and that's not true, right,
- 43:07Speaker 1: So it just pissed me off. Do you think that
- 43:10Speaker 1: maybe she was like harboring feelings of annoyance towards you
- 43:14Speaker 1: for a while because of the way that you broke
- 43:16Speaker 1: up with her? Was just like so like one side
- 43:20Speaker 1: of the abrupt Yeah, I think so. I mean, like
- 43:23Speaker 1: I had heard, I didn't watch the podcast uh with
- 43:27Speaker 1: her with you guys, because it's kind of difficult for
- 43:30Speaker 1: me to watch these things, uh emotionally Uh. But essentially
- 43:36Speaker 1: I heard that she regrets not leaving the second time,
- 43:41Speaker 1: and it was confusing for me because like, if that's
- 43:46Speaker 1: the case, if she wanted to break up with me
- 43:48Speaker 1: that day, um, like why did she Why did she
- 43:53Speaker 1: care that we were finally on the same page on
- 43:55Speaker 1: breakup day? Right? UM? I guess it was unless unless
- 43:59Speaker 1: her mindset completely shifted in those three days after its
- 44:02Speaker 1: versus pain um or or she wanted to do it
- 44:05Speaker 1: kind of more on her terms. I don't know why
- 44:08Speaker 1: she was so upset by it, because she she told
- 44:12Speaker 1: she told everyone she wanted to break up with me earlier. Um,
- 44:16Speaker 1: So realistically, I mean, if I was to go back,
- 44:18Speaker 1: I would I would, let you know, let her leave
- 44:21Speaker 1: on or let her break up with me, like I
- 44:23Speaker 1: don't know, like that the result then result was the same.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I don't understand why she was so annoyed with me
- 44:29Speaker 1: unless she wanted to do it and not me, or
- 44:32Speaker 1: she viewed it as that I was trying to kind
- 44:35Speaker 1: of list out what I had issues with in like
- 44:39Speaker 1: a in like a way that wasn't attacking, so that
- 44:43Speaker 1: we can create like an open dialogue, have that conversation,
- 44:46Speaker 1: leave on good terms. Um. I was I was not
- 44:49Speaker 1: trying to attack. Um, And and I know it came
- 44:53Speaker 1: off that way or the way they edited too, is
- 44:55Speaker 1: like she she didn't say anything at all, which is
- 44:58Speaker 1: she definitely said things. She said that she'd didn't say
- 45:00Speaker 1: anything on our product. Now, trust me, she definitely did.
- 45:02Speaker 1: That's not that's literally not how it went like. But regardless, um,
- 45:07Speaker 1: the end results Like at the end of the day,
- 45:10Speaker 1: I thought we were on the same page, and according
- 45:13Speaker 1: to the podcast she's been giving, we were. So I
- 45:16Speaker 1: don't understand really, So when you when you just when
- 45:20Speaker 1: you went down to the beach knowing a breakup was happening, Um,
- 45:25Speaker 1: did you have any idea? I mean, and and we
- 45:28Speaker 1: just have to take Genevieve's word for what she's telling
- 45:31Speaker 1: us and telling others and so in her mind, like
- 45:34Speaker 1: she was potentially getting engaged to you, like this was
- 45:36Speaker 1: a real thing to her. Did you have any idea
- 45:39Speaker 1: that that's how she was feeling? No? Literally none, I mean,
- 45:44Speaker 1: like a couple of days earlier, she wanted to leave,
- 45:46Speaker 1: Like I like, looking back, Um, if if I was
- 45:53Speaker 1: if I proposed were like, should she have said yes
- 45:56Speaker 1: if she felt like that a couple of days earlier,
- 45:58Speaker 1: like no, probably not. I was you know, I don't
- 46:01Speaker 1: want to get engaged and break up and be another
- 46:04Speaker 1: bachelor statistic, you know, Um so I I I don't know.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I just thought of the most plausible scenario that would
- 46:14Speaker 1: work out for us, and and like realistic, I mean, like,
- 46:18Speaker 1: obviously it would be nice to stay with her, like, um,
- 46:20Speaker 1: it would be nice if everything fixed after Paradise. I
- 46:23Speaker 1: just didn't think that would happen, and so I wanted to,
- 46:27Speaker 1: um voice my honest opinion to her. Essentially, we'll stop
- 46:32Speaker 1: grilling you soon, but I do have one more question
- 46:34Speaker 1: on my side. So I just want you to picture yourself.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You're Genevieve, you got broken up with in Paradise, and
- 46:44Speaker 1: then you see and you were with this person for
- 46:47Speaker 1: the majority of Paradise. You're sticking it out through a
- 46:50Speaker 1: lot of fights, but the the last day, the decision
- 46:52Speaker 1: making day, basically you are dumped. And then you see
- 46:57Speaker 1: months later, these exchange between two girls who basically it
- 47:04Speaker 1: looks like we're still involved with you, or at least
- 47:07Speaker 1: one was still involved with you when you went to Paradise.
- 47:10Speaker 1: So don't you think that that, like, how would you
- 47:14Speaker 1: respond to that? I mean do you Yeah, just like
- 47:17Speaker 1: what what would your actions have been? Yeah, Like it's
- 47:24Speaker 1: it's something that I should have empathized with more. I
- 47:26Speaker 1: can't lie. Um, like when you listed out like that,
- 47:30Speaker 1: or if if you don't even meet thinking about it
- 47:32Speaker 1: like that. Uh, it feels like if that's true, it's humiliating.
- 47:38Speaker 1: You know, it feels like it's uh, um, you know
- 47:43Speaker 1: you wasted a lot of time. Uh, you know, things
- 47:47Speaker 1: that are the opposite of what anyone wants to feel. Right,
- 47:50Speaker 1: You're basically like lied to the entire post. That's what
- 47:53Speaker 1: it feels like. Yeah, like it was all fake. It
- 47:55Speaker 1: was all for show, like legit a show. Yeah, and
- 47:58Speaker 1: realistically like I'm not that good of an actor. Um,
- 48:03Speaker 1: or I wouldn't have gotten fights so often. But UM,
- 48:07Speaker 1: like I get I can get where she's coming from completely. Um.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I just I you know, it's like it goes down to, um,
- 48:15Speaker 1: we we both kind of have this issue where we
- 48:17Speaker 1: can be a little bit reactionary. Um. And you know
- 48:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna own that first and foremost for myself and
- 48:24Speaker 1: and at the reunion, you know, when we did talk
- 48:26Speaker 1: and we did kind of um show each other in
- 48:29Speaker 1: that mutual respect that was she apologized for as well. Um,
- 48:34Speaker 1: so at the end of the day, this is exactly
- 48:37Speaker 1: what that is. And I wish that I guess I
- 48:40Speaker 1: wasn't so reactionary when I sent that text, you know. Um, uh,
- 48:45Speaker 1: you know, thanks for for listening that out Ben as well.
- 48:48Speaker 1: But um but uh, but like I wish she wasn't
- 48:52Speaker 1: so reactionary just believing it right away as well. So
- 48:56Speaker 1: because we I'm so confident, like if we were oh
- 49:00Speaker 1: been to having that conversation, this would never have been
- 49:02Speaker 1: a thing. Yeah. Well, Aaron, I know this isn't easy.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I know this isn't fun. I can imagine the last
- 49:14Speaker 1: few weeks or however long this has been going on. Um,
- 49:19Speaker 1: it's been exhausting. And uh, you know, like you said,
- 49:24Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's a fair wish everybody can
- 49:26Speaker 1: now move on with their lives. Um, move forward with
- 49:29Speaker 1: your life. Is there anything else that you'd want to
- 49:32Speaker 1: tell our listeners that we didn't ask, that we didn't
- 49:36Speaker 1: touch on, um, that you'd want them to hear and
- 49:38Speaker 1: for others to hear. Um. You know, obviously this is
- 49:42Speaker 1: going to be spread out. People will hear this, they'll
- 49:44Speaker 1: see headlines of it. Um. What would you like people
- 49:47Speaker 1: to know, um, moving forward for you, I guess, uh,
- 49:54Speaker 1: A big thing, I know, I don't, I don't know.
- 49:58Speaker 1: It's it's kind of hard to put in the word.
- 50:00Speaker 1: But a big thing is you know, you look at
- 50:02Speaker 1: my activity via social media, like I never tried to
- 50:05Speaker 1: spread hate or attack right anyone ever, just not something idea,
- 50:09Speaker 1: whether it's Twitter. Twitter's an evil place, you know, so
- 50:13Speaker 1: denly not Twitter or anything right, It's it's I do
- 50:16Speaker 1: want to focus on bringing positive kind of energy. And
- 50:18Speaker 1: I know, um it's hard sometimes, but like when when
- 50:23Speaker 1: these when these rumors or or whatever are released, um,
- 50:28Speaker 1: like they are a lot of times just rumors or
- 50:32Speaker 1: you know, there might be some truth to them. But
- 50:34Speaker 1: the things that I've have people have been said, that
- 50:38Speaker 1: have said to me, um, like the last few weeks,
- 50:42Speaker 1: you know. And and this even for Genevieve, is she
- 50:44Speaker 1: listening like like you know, you really don't want like
- 50:49Speaker 1: that's to be said to anyone, right And and you
- 50:53Speaker 1: know whether she's you know, someone's mad at similar or not.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Like the like sending like hate these social media or
- 51:00Speaker 1: or or or texting someone or demning someone these these
- 51:05Speaker 1: crazy things like has has a huge effect on someone's
- 51:09Speaker 1: mental well being and at the end of the day,
- 51:11Speaker 1: like she's a good person. Of confident that I am
- 51:14Speaker 1: as well. I'm confident that as well the things I
- 51:16Speaker 1: have done. Um, I am confident that I was a
- 51:19Speaker 1: good man before Paradise, after Paradise. When I was on Paradise, Uh,
- 51:24Speaker 1: there was miscommunications a lot of times, but I'm not
- 51:27Speaker 1: like this, this horrible villain, right, And it's just disturbing
- 51:32Speaker 1: when I see people, um like, not even just myself, Like,
- 51:36Speaker 1: just spread this crazy hatred um towards contestants because they
- 51:40Speaker 1: are real people, you know, and at the end of
- 51:42Speaker 1: the day and you never really know what's happening. So
- 51:45Speaker 1: just um yeah, just spread positivity. And if you don't
- 51:49Speaker 1: have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Right,
- 51:52Speaker 1: how would you feel if we invited Genevieve on this
- 51:56Speaker 1: podcast to talk to you m a zoom, I mean
- 52:01Speaker 1: like like I'll be yeah, I'll be down. I mean
- 52:04Speaker 1: I would rather do it in private, obviously. Um, I
- 52:07Speaker 1: definitely don't want to get yelled at on on camera.
- 52:11Speaker 1: You know it before you know, I know, I can
- 52:15Speaker 1: see the smiles, like you know, I'm just thinking about Paradise.
- 52:17Speaker 1: I just think about all the paradise scenes in my
- 52:20Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, No, I mean like I want to.
- 52:25Speaker 1: I mean I'm super open having a conversation. I want to.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I like to deal with things in private. You know.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I'm definitely not someone that's doing everything in the forefront
- 52:34Speaker 1: of of of you know, the public eye, and and
- 52:37Speaker 1: posting on social media every two seconds about what I'm
- 52:39Speaker 1: doing in my life. So more private person as weird
- 52:43Speaker 1: as it is going on this show, but um, yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I mean for sure, although I would rather I talk
- 52:49Speaker 1: in private and then this and then we can move
- 52:52Speaker 1: on with our lives. You know. That's that's that's that's fine.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Well hopefully you can feel that way after this podcast.
- 52:59Speaker 1: But I'm just you know, playing, just haven't asked some
- 53:02Speaker 1: fun with the questions. It's funny because when this was happening,
- 53:05Speaker 1: this is really my first kind of the most hate
- 53:09Speaker 1: I've felt from from the fan base. And apparently I
- 53:13Speaker 1: gave a lot of girls uh or women PTSD about
- 53:16Speaker 1: their past relationships in those arguments, So a lot of
- 53:20Speaker 1: projecting like run from Aaron, He's belongs in jail whatever,
- 53:24Speaker 1: um which is which is? You know, apparently they know
- 53:26Speaker 1: me completely as a human being. But uh, but I
- 53:30Speaker 1: was asking advice from other contestants, et cetera. That I've
- 53:33Speaker 1: been through. There's not not you know, no one knowing crazy.
- 53:36Speaker 1: But they were all just like, don't say anything at all.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Just like everyone almost unanimously was like, don't say anything.
- 53:42Speaker 1: But it got to the point where I was like, dude,
- 53:43Speaker 1: I feel like I have to say something, like like
- 53:46Speaker 1: getting repeatedly kind of bashed on social media, um by
- 53:51Speaker 1: something that's not factual, and people like might as well
- 53:53Speaker 1: take it as factual? Is is uh something it's really
- 53:56Speaker 1: hard to like, look at stomach. Yeah, both piece of
- 54:00Speaker 1: advice or good advice. You don't say anything. It always
- 54:03Speaker 1: sits there. You're always known for it. Now, the thing
- 54:06Speaker 1: that the benefit of that is you can just like
- 54:08Speaker 1: kind of walk off into you know, the silence and
- 54:13Speaker 1: be forgotten. And but when somebody hears your name, they're like, yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 1: Aaron's associated with this saying something. Um, You're not as
- 54:20Speaker 1: capable of walking off into the silence. But at least
- 54:22Speaker 1: now there is that, um, that team of people who
- 54:26Speaker 1: will be like I heard this podcast and this is
- 54:28Speaker 1: what he was saying happened, and now it's nuanced and
- 54:32Speaker 1: it's complex and I don't know maybe what to believe,
- 54:35Speaker 1: or maybe they know what to believe and they're confident
- 54:37Speaker 1: in it. Both sides work. UM, but we're glad you
- 54:40Speaker 1: came on. So thank you for coming on, Aaron, Thank you,
- 54:43Speaker 1: UM for sharing your side of this story. Um, thanks
- 54:48Speaker 1: for playing along again. I know it's not always fun.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I know it's not easy, and uh, I know it
- 54:53Speaker 1: would feel a lot easier just to not say anything,
- 54:56Speaker 1: but sometimes we don't have that option. And Aaron, next time,
- 55:00Speaker 1: you're always invited here and we'd love to play some
- 55:02Speaker 1: fun games with you. It's a little rapid fire something
- 55:06Speaker 1: like this, because I bet you it will never be
- 55:08Speaker 1: this serious again. I know I was gonna say Benna,
- 55:12Speaker 1: we haven't met in person, but Ashley, when I met her,
- 55:14Speaker 1: she was like a light on the beach. You're the sweetest.
- 55:18Speaker 1: That's what I say before every episode I introduced actually,
- 55:21Speaker 1: and I say my amazing, beautiful co host Ashley because
- 55:24Speaker 1: she's always like, oh my gosh, Ben with the compliments.
- 55:27Speaker 1: But I tell people on this podcast all the time,
- 55:30Speaker 1: I was like on TV, I kept saying, like this guy,
- 55:33Speaker 1: he just loves fighting, like he's like I'm being angry,
- 55:36Speaker 1: I'm angry, and then I'm like, but in person, he's
- 55:39Speaker 1: so fun to get along with and joke with, and
- 55:42Speaker 1: you got a great sense of humor. Yeah, that was
- 55:44Speaker 1: one of my favorite things you said, was like, how
- 55:46Speaker 1: I surprised you at my actual personality versus what was portrayed,
- 55:52Speaker 1: because yeah, I mean, I keep you not like, I'm
- 55:54Speaker 1: just like a goofy guy almost all the time. So
- 55:58Speaker 1: it's it's not always the easiest with pople think I'm
- 56:00Speaker 1: like raging, like the hulky you know. But well he
- 56:04Speaker 1: seemed to more hokey when you're on Katie season and
- 56:06Speaker 1: you've softened up through time. But I was always yeah,
- 56:09Speaker 1: you're right, but it wasn't up. They just showed more.
- 56:12Speaker 1: So yeah, I got it. I got it. All right. Well,
- 56:15Speaker 1: this is our sign off. I've been Ashley, I've been
