Residents in Midleton are stuck waiting for reimbursement after spending over $7,700 of their own money to repair flood damage from Storm Babet in October 2023. The county council blames the Office of Public Works, which is already managing a $58 million flood defense project, but both ministers Kevin Moran and James Browne say there’s no fund for citizen-led repairs.
