- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This week on the show, you've seen entertainment on land,
- 0:10Speaker 1: but what about in water? That's right.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This week we're talking to the entertainers at sea World.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Bringing together a new and exciting slate of shows. These
- 0:22Speaker 3: performances will feature fish, people and the magic that exists
- 0:27Speaker 3: between the two.
- 0:28Speaker 4: These staff members are creators, choreographers, fish handlers, and most
- 0:33Speaker 4: importantly artists.
- 0:35Speaker 5: Now we know SeaWorld has run into some issues in
- 0:38Speaker 5: the past, but they are looking towards the future and
- 0:41Speaker 5: the present. Today we are moving past the issues. Let's
- 0:44Speaker 5: listen in.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Weep eyes up here, guys, beep eyes up here.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Weep eyes up here, guys, sit eyes up here.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Up up, up up, Shake, shake, were.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Gonna go ahead and start recording in three two what Hello everyone, Holly.
- 1:04Speaker 5: Guys, Hello everyone. Good to see you guys here in
- 1:08Speaker 5: this podcast studio. Usually we see each other around sea World,
- 1:14Speaker 5: and this is a nice change of pace. So I
- 1:17Speaker 5: think what we should do. So I think what we
- 1:20Speaker 5: should do right now is go around and introduce ourselves
- 1:23Speaker 5: to the lovely podcast listeners. Everybody say hi, podcast listeners, Hi.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Listeners.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I can't hear you? Come on, let them know that
- 1:32Speaker 5: you're here. Hi, podcast listeners.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Hi, podcast listeners.
- 1:37Speaker 5: That's great. Okay, so let's go around and introduce ourselves.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Well, okay, I guess I'll go ahead and get started.
- 1:47Speaker 2: My name is Melody Saint Harmony, and I run the
- 1:50Speaker 2: Working Hard with the Sea Lions show, and I, of
- 1:54Speaker 2: course am really excited to be here.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm having a blast. I of course brought my favorite
- 1:59Speaker 1: sea Lion was Edgar. Everyone saying Hi, Edgar, Hi.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I did bring a full sea line into this podcasting studio,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and I'm so happy.
- 2:07Speaker 1: To oh, oh Edgar.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I guess he has some opinions as well. Hear, what
- 2:16Speaker 2: do you think of a toxic masculinity? That's right, we
- 2:21Speaker 2: have a whole joke. We have a whole bit show
- 2:23Speaker 2: on the show. We have a whole bit where he
- 2:25Speaker 2: pretends to be Joe Rogan on a podcast. So he's
- 2:27Speaker 2: very well acquainted with a microphone.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Well, howdy everybody, how about you say hi Buddy, Hi, Buddy, Hi, everybody.
- 2:39Speaker 3: My name is Buddy Robinson. I have been on this
- 2:42Speaker 3: Sea World team since the opening. My god, why don't
- 2:47Speaker 3: you people say I'm a bit of a playboy, but
- 2:50Speaker 3: I think of it more as i'm hitting play on boy.
- 2:54Speaker 3: That was a good show. Can I get a high
- 2:56Speaker 3: five from my friend? And there we go?
- 3:01Speaker 5: Buddy?
- 3:02Speaker 3: Here, how about you have a sardine? Why don't you? Oh,
- 3:05Speaker 3: you guys, I'm so excited to talk about these new
- 3:08Speaker 3: slate of shows. I've taken kind of a backseat creatively
- 3:11Speaker 3: and just sat back and enjoy the ride. So I
- 3:14Speaker 3: am so excited to get back out there and get
- 3:17Speaker 3: down to talk of those darn fish. Why don't you, hey, y'all?
- 3:24Speaker 6: Can I get a hey, y'all? Hey, y'all, y'all, where'd
- 3:30Speaker 6: that fish go?
- 3:32Speaker 5: Up?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Listen that one more time, one more confident? Where that
- 3:39Speaker 6: fish go?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Oh?
- 3:42Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 3:42Speaker 5: Go up?
- 3:48Speaker 2: Hey?
- 3:48Speaker 3: I get to wait for people to see this show.
- 3:51Speaker 6: This is freaking awesome. Hey, guys, what's up?
- 3:53Speaker 4: I'm Sandy Magnesium, but we call me Geronimo here.
- 4:00Speaker 5: We don't start Sandy.
- 4:05Speaker 4: My nickname is Geramimo for sure, and I'm one of
- 4:09Speaker 4: our main treaders here that does stunts with our fishes
- 4:12Speaker 4: and whales.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Today. Where did that fish go?
- 4:15Speaker 5: Ah?
- 4:17Speaker 6: I was so excited to be here today, you guys,
- 4:18Speaker 6: love you all.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Sandy, of course is in charge of our Fish Defying
- 4:24Speaker 2: Gravity show, where we have all sorts of animals coming
- 4:27Speaker 2: from all sorts of different types of directions, and it's.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Really fun and it's really exciting. They can't wait to
- 4:31Speaker 1: talk about the rigging specifically for that show.
- 4:34Speaker 5: It's insane because she has figured out Geronimo here is
- 4:37Speaker 5: figure out a specific way to actually train fish to jump.
- 4:41Speaker 5: It's kind of the first for us, and we're excited
- 4:43Speaker 5: to get to it in our new slate. But fish
- 4:46Speaker 5: usually don't jump, as usually we use the mammalian species.
- 4:49Speaker 5: They are short enough. She has somehow figured out to
- 4:51Speaker 5: make fish go up.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's one sardines, cand frigg and jump. Let me tell you,
- 4:57Speaker 3: sardine jump like that.
- 4:59Speaker 1: That's right, buddy.
- 5:00Speaker 5: She gets about a thousand sardines to jump at once.
- 5:03Speaker 5: It is awe it's awe inspiring, it's awesome.
- 5:07Speaker 3: He can I say fearful? I am fearful.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Oh guys, what do you say when all those thousands
- 5:13Speaker 4: and thousands of sardines go up?
- 5:18Speaker 5: What we say? We say up?
- 5:23Speaker 3: Tell us what we say? I can't quite remember.
- 5:27Speaker 2: We're still in the first draft of the call and
- 5:29Speaker 2: Responses for Sandy's show. So we're gonna make you be
- 5:32Speaker 2: working chopping that a little bit here.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Sandy was always better at training the fish more than
- 5:36Speaker 5: trading the humans.
- 5:37Speaker 4: One can say, I'm basically thrown off the deep end
- 5:40Speaker 4: er runaway.
- 5:43Speaker 5: So that's what she says, not what we say. We'll
- 5:48Speaker 5: be going over all of this stuff soon, but before
- 5:52Speaker 5: we go over that, I would love to introduce myself.
- 5:55Speaker 5: My name is John Cross. You guys can call me
- 5:58Speaker 5: Cross for short, and I am the lead trainer of
- 6:01Speaker 5: the dolphins here at Sea World. I kind of am
- 6:04Speaker 5: in the water and I am doing the tricks and
- 6:06Speaker 5: flips with all the dolphins for our stunt shows and
- 6:09Speaker 5: for our fun shows. So everybody say Hi Cross Hi.
- 6:16Speaker 5: And as in tradition, just like we brought the giant
- 6:20Speaker 5: elephant's seal, I have brought one dolphin here to say hi.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Can you say Hi? Miriam? So high pitched we could
- 6:29Speaker 5: barely hear her. That is Miriam the Dolphin, our oldest dolphin.
- 6:32Speaker 5: She is eighty four and she is a wonderful, wonderful dolphin.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Cannot wait for you guys to get to know her soon.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Forgot I forgot to make my sardines, say Geronimo, Hey, sardines,
- 6:45Speaker 4: what's my name?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Awesome exactly, rely haunting. I gotta say, you so want
- 6:56Speaker 3: to hear it on a subliminal level. It comes from below.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Yes, that was the noise of a thousand sargines jumping
- 7:04Speaker 5: out of the water at once, and zoom.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Sort of muted it.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yeah, zoom for me put it underwater and it's fun.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So we're having a lot of fun at SeaWorld, c Diego.
- 7:16Speaker 2: We're having a really good time and really exciting for
- 7:18Speaker 2: you guys to come out and see our brand new shows.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Maybe we should go around and talk about how we
- 7:23Speaker 1: got involved.
- 7:24Speaker 2: It's such a wonderful, transparent, honest organization that is truly
- 7:30Speaker 2: a great place to be involved.
- 7:31Speaker 5: SeaWorld is about family, it's about values, it's about fun,
- 7:34Speaker 5: and those are the three things. But it's also about education,
- 7:36Speaker 5: and what we want to educate you on is how
- 7:39Speaker 5: to be a moral person in the world.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Yes, correct, you running all And that's why we're so
- 7:45Speaker 3: excited that this next sleight of shows is all centered
- 7:49Speaker 3: around morality tales. There is a lesson that you learn
- 7:52Speaker 3: at the end of each one, no matter what it is.
- 7:55Speaker 3: And I'm very excited because I think we could all
- 7:58Speaker 3: use some help telling right from wrong.
- 8:02Speaker 4: We gotta say I can say on behalf of this team, myself,
- 8:05Speaker 4: Geronimo Cross and Melody Saint Harmony. We've been ushered by
- 8:08Speaker 4: the old guard Buddy Robinson, who is a legend, a
- 8:11Speaker 4: legend in the SeaWorld space, and we are all coming
- 8:14Speaker 4: together as a new creative team to bring in the future.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Oh stop, well stop. I guess I could talk about
- 8:21Speaker 3: answer that question, why don't it? I about how how
- 8:23Speaker 3: I got into this thing. Well, it was the sixties
- 8:26Speaker 3: and SeaWorld was a little different. Back then. It was
- 8:30Speaker 3: a little bit swinging, it's a little bit rocking, and
- 8:33Speaker 3: there were not quite so many rules in place about
- 8:37Speaker 3: who you could and couldn't date. I know this time
- 8:40Speaker 3: they say, hey, co workers, try not to date each other,
- 8:45Speaker 3: especially not in front of the fish. It spooks him.
- 8:47Speaker 3: But back then it was the sixties and anything went,
- 8:51Speaker 3: and it did. I got into this because I followed
- 8:54Speaker 3: a young lady named Sarah Fina in here. She was
- 8:58Speaker 3: a dolphin tray and I didn't have a place to
- 9:03Speaker 3: be during there, so I would follow her to work
- 9:07Speaker 3: and well with invitation, of course, and I thought and
- 9:11Speaker 3: she was hanging out with these dolphins, and I thought,
- 9:13Speaker 3: you know what, that sounds like a pretty sweet gig.
- 9:16Speaker 3: And I charmed those dolphins. They took to me right away.
- 9:19Speaker 3: They were obsessed with me. I couldn't keep them away.
- 9:22Speaker 3: One of the scientists was saying it was something to
- 9:25Speaker 3: do with the relaxing nature of my voice. The dolphins
- 9:28Speaker 3: can't get enough of me. And so I was a
- 9:30Speaker 3: natural fit. And Sarafina and I broke up. She moved
- 9:34Speaker 3: to Wisconsin, but I stuck around right here in sunny
- 9:38Speaker 3: San Diego.
- 9:40Speaker 5: She does the lake shows right up in one of
- 9:42Speaker 5: the big lakes.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Yeah, up in Tahoe. She's doing lake shows with some bass.
- 9:47Speaker 3: They're trying to get that off the ground.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Yeah, she's doing They're too dirty for me.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Lake Universe, right, I believe they're called Lake Universe. They
- 9:53Speaker 2: get a lot of emails from them and reach outs
- 9:55Speaker 2: on LinkedIn for Lake Universe, not SeaWorld, not.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Us though they don't have the large amelia we are
- 10:01Speaker 5: interested in.
- 10:01Speaker 3: So we are trying to poach, but it's not gonna work.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Morole here is too good.
- 10:06Speaker 6: You're trying to know that we are contracted out.
- 10:09Speaker 2: That's correct, And they're trying to say that sturgeon can
- 10:11Speaker 2: do backflips, and I don't think that's true, and I'm
- 10:14Speaker 2: certainly not going to be the one to fix that.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I guess I can tell you guys my story Melody
- 10:21Speaker 2: sat Harmony. I started, of course, in a Christian university.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I was going to be a youth pastor, and I
- 10:29Speaker 2: was really excited. Young life has been really important to
- 10:32Speaker 2: me and my energy is. When I was twelve years old,
- 10:35Speaker 2: I was told you really should run some sort of
- 10:38Speaker 2: youth pastor program. You should be young life. I was
- 10:40Speaker 2: told that buy youth pastor, and I said, that's really interesting.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I just kind of always had that energy. And I
- 10:45Speaker 2: would do lock ins with my friends just for fun,
- 10:47Speaker 2: you know, instead of instead of just sleepovers. We would
- 10:49Speaker 2: do lock ins and I would bring my friends and
- 10:51Speaker 2: my parents would lock us in the house and they
- 10:53Speaker 2: leave for the weekend. They go to Vegas or wherever.
- 10:55Speaker 2: We lived in Reno, so it was close for them
- 10:56Speaker 2: to travel, and we would spend the whole weekend and
- 10:59Speaker 2: we'd make games. We'd put on little fake mustashes and
- 11:01Speaker 2: pretend to be reporters and stuff like that. We did
- 11:04Speaker 2: a lot of really fun games, and I quickly found
- 11:07Speaker 2: out that after my youth pastor program at my college,
- 11:12Speaker 2: I was unable to be a youth pastor because I
- 11:17Speaker 2: didn't like God anymore. I had an experience and it
- 11:20Speaker 2: changed for me. But I have the energy, and I realized, Wow,
- 11:23Speaker 2: where can I take this energy. It's with the sea
- 11:25Speaker 2: lions at fixing things with the sea lions at SeaWorld.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And I've realized that sea lions and elephant seals and
- 11:33Speaker 2: seals are a really great environment to talk about yourself
- 11:37Speaker 2: and to get things out because they're so supportive, just.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Like Edgar here, Edgar's heard all of the worst things
- 11:42Speaker 1: that I've ever experienced. Er, that's right, Edgar, don't tell
- 11:48Speaker 1: them everything.
- 11:53Speaker 4: You and your bond with Edgar is so transparent, even
- 11:57Speaker 4: off off screen and off the stage. You guys have
- 12:01Speaker 4: such a connection, and I really value that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Thank you so much, Sandy.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I really appreciate that, and I am really, really, really
- 12:11Speaker 2: grateful to be here with this crowd.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I think I think all of us are together.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Whether I hang out with you guys at a happy
- 12:17Speaker 2: hour or I see you guys at.
- 12:19Speaker 1: The park, it just feels like a really wonderful experience.
- 12:23Speaker 3: And can I give you a compliment melody? I would
- 12:26Speaker 3: longest emails emails I've ever seen. It could be that long.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I work really hard on them, and I'm really glad
- 12:35Speaker 2: to know that you like those because and you know,
- 12:38Speaker 2: I always put something at the very end. If you
- 12:39Speaker 2: read this whole thing, please respond to the subject with
- 12:43Speaker 2: it's going down, We're yelling Timber or some sort of
- 12:45Speaker 2: other Kesha lyric or something fun, just so I know
- 12:48Speaker 2: you've read them.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And I think it's fun that I do that.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's fun.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Thanks buddy.
- 12:55Speaker 3: It definitely doesn't feel like we're being held hostage in
- 12:58Speaker 3: any way. It's definitely fun thing. It's not a threat.
- 13:02Speaker 2: No one has held hostage with love. That's not hostage.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That's being presented with a positive experience.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Absolutely absolutely. I guess i'll go. So. My name is
- 13:16Speaker 5: John Cross. I kind of fell into this. I was
- 13:19Speaker 5: the child actor in Free Willie and I loved the
- 13:22Speaker 5: whale so much. After a couple of years in Hollywood
- 13:26Speaker 5: that I'd rather not get into I found myself at
- 13:31Speaker 5: a sea World, going I should get into this. This
- 13:33Speaker 5: was my first love, so now full circle moment. I
- 13:36Speaker 5: work at SeaWorld with a lot of the dolphins sometimes
- 13:39Speaker 5: the whales, and make things happen in a fun and
- 13:42Speaker 5: festive way. I love people, I love my animals, and
- 13:48Speaker 5: I love the fun that SeaWorld brings. The messages the
- 13:52Speaker 5: SeaWorld puts out and the possibilities are endless, you know.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I also wanted to mention John. It was incredible that
- 14:02Speaker 2: you were the boy and free Willie. That was so
- 14:04Speaker 2: inspiring for me constantly watching that when I was growing up.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I knew every single line, and more than that, I
- 14:11Speaker 2: could recite the moment where the whale went over your
- 14:13Speaker 2: head almost almost verbatim. You know, I know every single
- 14:16Speaker 2: thing would happened, and.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I know Keiko was the name of the whale and Willie.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Did you guys keep in touch?
- 14:23Speaker 5: No, so act. Actually, what happened there was accidentally we
- 14:27Speaker 5: did free that whale that one shot. We got a
- 14:29Speaker 5: one shot. The whale cleared the situation and then left,
- 14:33Speaker 5: and I was heartbroken. I was absolutely heartbroken. It was
- 14:36Speaker 5: one of my best friends at the time. Growing up
- 14:38Speaker 5: in Hollywood as a child actor, you don't actually make
- 14:41Speaker 5: a ton of friends, so the whale ended up being
- 14:44Speaker 5: one of the closest friends I had and then he
- 14:45Speaker 5: left me, and things kind of just smiled from there,
- 14:48Speaker 5: which I will not I would love to ignore, I
- 14:51Speaker 5: would love to not get into. So that is actually
- 14:55Speaker 5: how I ended up at Sea World. A little bit
- 14:56Speaker 5: of me wants to keep these things a little bit
- 14:59Speaker 5: more inside. Let accidents like Free Willy happen again.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Absolutely incredible inspiration, mister Cross. I'm so excited to be
- 15:07Speaker 4: around you guys. I'm the young and I joined a
- 15:10Speaker 4: couple of years after Melody and John. I have been
- 15:14Speaker 4: so so blessed to join this beautiful team of artists
- 15:17Speaker 4: and athletes.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I grew up in central athletes.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, someone finally called I'm telling you what. That's
- 15:24Speaker 3: the first time I've been called an athlete.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Oh buddy, you are too modest.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Speaking of athletes, I was a swimmer and a diver
- 15:33Speaker 4: in high school and went to college for diving competitive diving.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Didn't quite make it there, but found my way to
- 15:39Speaker 6: the beautiful Sea World.
- 15:40Speaker 4: And started working with the fish and working with the
- 15:43Speaker 4: dolphins and working with everybody there. I'm less animal driven,
- 15:47Speaker 4: more athletics driven. But we're gonna find a way to
- 15:51Speaker 4: handle that and climb.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Up up, you know, it's so nice to hear that
- 15:58Speaker 2: you're from Wyoming. That explains where you using Geronimo so
- 16:01Speaker 2: casually that's great to know.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Great, Yeah, but it's just been so exciting. I think
- 16:11Speaker 4: Melody you were the one that started training me, and
- 16:14Speaker 4: it's just been like absolutely incredible to have you guys
- 16:17Speaker 4: like just just such a People don't realize here that
- 16:20Speaker 4: even though we're at work like we are like work friends,
- 16:23Speaker 4: we also are a family.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Yeah, we're really the Sea World fan. They talk about it.
- 16:28Speaker 5: They call it the Sea World family, which I think
- 16:30Speaker 5: is just so fun and unique, so fun.
- 16:34Speaker 2: They actually bring you in when you when you become
- 16:36Speaker 2: part of the SeaWorld family, they assign you kind of
- 16:38Speaker 2: like the sorting hat. I'm a big fan of Harry
- 16:40Speaker 2: Potter currently and politically as well.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I well like that that.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Uh, they actually bring you in and it's kind of
- 16:51Speaker 2: like the sorting hat, like a littlely Harry Potter. They
- 16:53Speaker 2: tell you what type of person in the family you are.
- 16:56Speaker 2: So I came in and I was a daughter slash niece,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and I'm so happy to be that.
- 17:02Speaker 1: For everybody here.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Yes, just to go over you'd think that the Sordian
- 17:05Speaker 5: hat would sort you into you're working with dolphins, you're
- 17:08Speaker 5: working with the house. No, the sortie hat kind of
- 17:11Speaker 5: chooses how you are in this family, not the case.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was so exciting when this sorting hat decided
- 17:17Speaker 4: that I am a third removed cousin.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I thought that was a surprise, but it made a
- 17:22Speaker 2: lot of sense when when she started clicking with the family.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I got his uncle every single time.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And you tried a bunch of doper and.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Raise my blood pressure sometimes to throw off the scent
- 17:35Speaker 3: of the hat, but it kept smelling uncle, no matter
- 17:38Speaker 3: what the hell I did.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And what were you going for? Buddy? What did you want?
- 17:42Speaker 5: Well?
- 17:43Speaker 3: I wanted to be daddy. I always wanted a kid.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Of course you wanted to be daddy, buddy.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I just want to be daddy. My biggest dream is
- 17:52Speaker 3: to be a daddy someday. And I gotta say, time
- 17:55Speaker 3: is running out. I am, oh, what is it now?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Sixty six years old? And though I do alright with
- 18:03Speaker 3: the ladies. Nobody wants to be the mummy of the
- 18:06Speaker 3: kid that'll call me daddy. You could say that again,
- 18:12Speaker 3: to be the mommy of the kid that'll call me daddy.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Okay, one more time, just for the seal, just for Edgar.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Okay, ed girl, are you listening? Nobody wants to be
- 18:24Speaker 3: the mommy to the kid that'll call me daddy?
- 18:28Speaker 4: It felt like Edgar spoke on top of you. And
- 18:30Speaker 4: just for cleanliness, this is the podcast.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Can we get Yeah?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Absolutely, no problem. Nobody wants to be the mommy to
- 18:38Speaker 3: the kid that'll call me daddy. Did we get it?
- 18:43Speaker 1: I think we got it. Yay, yay.
- 18:46Speaker 5: And for reference, I always get older removed half brother.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Let's move on to the shows that we're doing on
- 18:52Speaker 5: our slate this year. We are so excited. It is
- 18:55Speaker 5: like we said, it's all based on morality. So we
- 18:57Speaker 5: have some of the hottest shows and I'm so excited.
- 19:00Speaker 5: One of my favorite shows coming out is an Eye
- 19:03Speaker 5: for an Eye makes the whole World Fish, and.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That one is so cute.
- 19:09Speaker 4: It is a beautiful, beautiful show start to finish.
- 19:13Speaker 3: That's such a great lesson for the kiddos.
- 19:15Speaker 5: It's sun.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We talked about it, it's morality. It's beautiful.
- 19:19Speaker 5: We get some big bass and some small tuna and
- 19:22Speaker 5: put them in sort of an arena to teach the
- 19:25Speaker 5: kids that war is bad.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Every one of our stages you can kind of describe
- 19:30Speaker 4: as sort of an arena.
- 19:32Speaker 2: And we put them in bumper balls, which are those
- 19:35Speaker 2: things where you can get inside them, and their boom balls.
- 19:38Speaker 1: And because we don't have the tuna or the best
- 19:40Speaker 1: to get hurt, no a little bit, and we push
- 19:42Speaker 1: them towards each other bumper.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Cars, water filled bumper balls with about two hundred fish each.
- 19:49Speaker 5: They are destined to not get hurt. The kids love it.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Some people have said our arenas kind of look like
- 19:56Speaker 5: Hunger Game sets, and they are kind of Hunger Game sets.
- 19:59Speaker 6: But say we were first, Yeah, we got that.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Oh we're competing. We're competing with all these new fangled
- 20:07Speaker 3: movies right now. We are trying to win the war
- 20:11Speaker 3: of attention against Marvel movies, against TikTok, against YouTube videos.
- 20:18Speaker 3: We have to keep the kids attention and sometimes you
- 20:21Speaker 3: can only do that with biblical fire and flame.
- 20:25Speaker 1: And it is well known actually, and you can look
- 20:27Speaker 1: this up.
- 20:27Speaker 2: It's on the Wikipedia. Suzanne Collins, who wrote The Hunger Games,
- 20:30Speaker 2: actually was We used to call her a sea rat
- 20:33Speaker 2: and she used to come.
- 20:34Speaker 1: All the time. She used to come all the time
- 20:36Speaker 1: to the.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Sea World in San Diego, and she used to sit
- 20:40Speaker 2: on the stands, and she used to write during all
- 20:43Speaker 2: the Orcan encounters, she would write notes about the layouts,
- 20:46Speaker 2: and we were actually told by the higher ups, we
- 20:49Speaker 2: know that that woman is trying to steal our ideas.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So if you can push the orcas to extend the
- 20:54Speaker 2: splash zone so that we can get the notebooks wet
- 20:56Speaker 2: so that you can't take the ideas home, that.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Would be great.
- 21:00Speaker 5: That took weeks, two weeks to figure out.
- 21:02Speaker 4: There was one time where they asked me to dive
- 21:04Speaker 4: quite literally to the edge of the pool in the
- 21:06Speaker 4: arena so I can create a big enough splash.
- 21:09Speaker 6: And you better believe it.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I yelled, Geronimo, you certainly did.
- 21:12Speaker 6: We w that moleskin to completion.
- 21:16Speaker 1: We did, and we actually were trying to get you.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Obviously, we're trying to get you, Sandy, to use the
- 21:22Speaker 2: orcs to get the splash, but we love that you
- 21:24Speaker 2: tried to get the splash as well.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I thought it was awesome.
- 21:28Speaker 2: So so we have a lot of really fun shows.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I'm obviously I'm doing working hard with the sea lions
- 21:35Speaker 2: and working hard with the elephant seals, and it is
- 21:38Speaker 2: been so fun. I get to wear these big, funny overalls,
- 21:42Speaker 2: and of course they come in and they throw some
- 21:44Speaker 2: stuff around. We actually we're fixing a house, and the
- 21:47Speaker 2: moral is a house is not a home unless it's
- 21:50Speaker 2: with people you love. So we really tried to build
- 21:52Speaker 2: the relationship that we make things. We screwed things up.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Maybe sometimes an otter will knock over a can that'll
- 21:58Speaker 2: send a two by four flying through the air. But
- 22:00Speaker 2: at the end of the day, if you're with the
- 22:02Speaker 2: people you love and of course your pure of heart,
- 22:05Speaker 2: then it doesn't matter where you live. And so it's
- 22:08Speaker 2: really nice.
- 22:09Speaker 5: I mean these shows also, you guys need to understand
- 22:11Speaker 5: there's a little bit of through because they aren't without
- 22:13Speaker 5: their hiccups. I mean talking about messes up. I heard
- 22:16Speaker 5: your elephants. You'll just threw a hammer at your head
- 22:19Speaker 5: the last show.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yeah, that was Dotty Dotty threw a hammer
- 22:23Speaker 1: at my head.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Going viral, right.
- 22:26Speaker 5: It's going viral.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going viral all over the internet right now.
- 22:30Speaker 2: It's really crazy and I'd never had something go viral before.
- 22:33Speaker 2: And I'm getting dms all over the place, and it's
- 22:37Speaker 2: very interesting. It's so hard to respond to all of
- 22:39Speaker 2: them and send so many they're all astome for pictures
- 22:42Speaker 2: and that I'm sending so many pictures.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm so tired.
- 22:45Speaker 2: But I yeah, So the dotty threw a hammer at
- 22:49Speaker 2: my head and it of course hit me in the
- 22:52Speaker 2: head and I fell into the water, and the otter
- 22:56Speaker 2: then knocked over a tarp and that wrapped me up
- 22:59Speaker 2: and I kind of ended up.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Water boding myself a little bit. And that was a
- 23:02Speaker 1: little difficult, and it was okay. At the end of
- 23:05Speaker 1: the day. We had a conversation and I talked to them.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I talked to the animals, and I sent them an email,
- 23:10Speaker 2: of course, and I said, we can't really do this again, guys,
- 23:12Speaker 2: this isn't the teamwork.
- 23:14Speaker 1: So so we're figuring it out.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And Edgar, I think I got through to you, right, Edgar,
- 23:18Speaker 2: you kind of understand we can't do that again.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I zoom.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Underwater, but you know, well, we won't hear that because
- 23:30Speaker 2: you're recorded locally.
- 23:31Speaker 1: But what I will tell you.
- 23:33Speaker 2: What I will tell you is that when Edgar makes
- 23:36Speaker 2: that noise, it does deeply unsettled me, and I know
- 23:41Speaker 2: that's something something.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Malicious is involved in that. But we're going to talk
- 23:45Speaker 1: about that. Off off.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Accidentally waterboarding myself as well, and it's a part of
- 23:52Speaker 4: our Newsleigh where I have all the fishes.
- 23:54Speaker 6: We do the five love language and the five attachment styles. Yeah,
- 23:57Speaker 6: we're trying to.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Teach you about morality, and this is actually a good
- 24:03Speaker 2: time to talk about this that we're unveiling. They actually
- 24:06Speaker 2: gave us the ability to unveil the fifth attachment style.
- 24:10Speaker 1: From what I knew, there were only four. It's fish,
- 24:13Speaker 1: it's fish, it's fish. You have anxious avoidance.
- 24:18Speaker 3: It's actually two because you have anxious fish and secure fish.
- 24:27Speaker 1: There's six.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so now there's anxious, there's avoidant, there's secure, and
- 24:34Speaker 2: there's anxious avoidant.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And now it's anxious fish and secure fish.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but not avoidant fish. A fish don't do that.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Fish. Fish inherently are avoidant, so but they are not
- 24:44Speaker 5: purposely avoidant.
- 24:45Speaker 4: You know, we're doing that part of It's a beautiful
- 24:48Speaker 4: show and it's all based within Grene Brown's Atlas of
- 24:51Speaker 4: the World.
- 24:51Speaker 6: That is the song that is playing. It's a song,
- 24:54Speaker 6: it is her doing her spoken word reading her book Atlas.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Of the World, and that it's actually incredible collab.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Brenne Brown and Fred again got together for this Sea
- 25:03Speaker 2: World exclusive.
- 25:06Speaker 6: And believe it or not. It's a night show.
- 25:08Speaker 5: It Brene Brown, ex fread again ex Fish and it
- 25:12Speaker 5: is unbelievable. At night. We paint each fish with a
- 25:17Speaker 5: beautiful glow in the dark color, so so these fish
- 25:21Speaker 5: pop in. They are not naturally by illuminescent, but for
- 25:25Speaker 5: this show, they are.
- 25:26Speaker 1: No toxic paint.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Man, I'll never get how you get fish to stick
- 25:30Speaker 3: to a paint. I can't believe that, buddy.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Say that again.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'll never get how you get fish to stick to
- 25:37Speaker 3: a paint. I'll never get it.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Well, buddy, Rather, we're getting paint sticking to fish, and
- 25:43Speaker 2: that's an interesting thing.
- 25:44Speaker 3: It's a little easier my mind even more.
- 25:46Speaker 4: And the best part of the whole thing is that
- 25:48Speaker 4: the last bit of our show, the five attachment styles
- 25:51Speaker 4: and the five level languages, the show ends and it
- 25:53Speaker 4: brings us straight into the safe for fish fireworks.
- 25:58Speaker 6: And it is all about love yourself and love others.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yes, so we are imploding fireworks underwater that are completely
- 26:05Speaker 5: safe for fish.
- 26:07Speaker 4: And it mirrors the sky, so when you're walking to
- 26:10Speaker 4: your car in the parking lot, you can see how
- 26:12Speaker 4: much you should love yourself so you can love others.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Hmm. It's beautiful. It's a wonderful show, and it teaches
- 26:18Speaker 5: you all about the five love languages and connection styles.
- 26:23Speaker 5: We are so proud of it.
- 26:24Speaker 2: We really, really really want you guys to come back
- 26:26Speaker 2: to Sea World and have a good.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Time with us. We've change everything up. We're morally good
- 26:30Speaker 1: and we really think you'd have a good time with us.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And tickets are really really cheap right now are There's
- 26:35Speaker 2: five dollars five dollars for everyone, And if you bring
- 26:38Speaker 2: a coke a coke can and you turn it in,
- 26:40Speaker 2: we actually give you twenty dollars.
- 26:42Speaker 1: So we love for you.
- 26:45Speaker 5: We would love for you to.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Come freakod I bring five coke cans during Christmas and
- 26:50Speaker 4: we'll give you a down payment on a home.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Mm hmm, yes, we'll give you a full down payment.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I don't really get the corporate strategy on that, but hey,
- 26:58Speaker 3: not my clown, not circus.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 3: All I can say is you gotta come check out
- 27:05Speaker 3: Me and the Dolphins. Me and the Dolphins. We're going
- 27:07Speaker 3: at two three twenty and five and we are doing
- 27:11Speaker 3: a Faustian bargain themed show where so we have three
- 27:16Speaker 3: dolphin siblings. One is offered unlimited money one is offered
- 27:20Speaker 3: eternal life and the other is offered nothing at all
- 27:23Speaker 3: except the chance to be a good person. And let's
- 27:27Speaker 3: just say, we'll see how things turn out for Dolphins
- 27:30Speaker 3: number one and two. But we try and keep it ling,
- 27:33Speaker 3: We try and keep it fun, We try and get
- 27:35Speaker 3: a lot of comedy in there.
- 27:36Speaker 6: And which Buddies show at two and five.
- 27:40Speaker 2: One thing you have to know too is that the
- 27:42Speaker 2: audience is really important because the audience gets to decide
- 27:45Speaker 2: which dolphin gets the devil's wish. So you have to vote,
- 27:49Speaker 2: and we use our audience interaction and you're you're kind
- 27:53Speaker 2: of a character.
- 27:54Speaker 5: You are a character. You're kind of playing the devil
- 27:56Speaker 5: in this thing, which is super fun and so unique.
- 28:00Speaker 6: You get fun for the kiddos. It's really fun for
- 28:03Speaker 6: the kid.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Poses the question what if you were the devil and
- 28:07Speaker 3: what if you had the power to cause pain or
- 28:10Speaker 3: inflict it.
- 28:11Speaker 5: I mean, we have gotten some complaints about, yes, this
- 28:14Speaker 5: maybe is too true of a metaphor people showing up
- 28:16Speaker 5: to see world asking for the dolphins to do things
- 28:18Speaker 5: specifically acting like the devil is too on the nose.
- 28:21Speaker 5: But to that, I say, you have yet to see
- 28:24Speaker 5: the show. You have yet to be a part of
- 28:25Speaker 5: the fun.
- 28:26Speaker 3: And you gotta meet these dolphins, man, they're a lot
- 28:29Speaker 3: of fun.
- 28:30Speaker 2: You can't and you can't be too on the nose
- 28:32Speaker 2: of the dolphins because their noses are very big. So
- 28:34Speaker 2: what's on the nose for us is barely on the
- 28:37Speaker 2: nose for dolphins.
- 28:38Speaker 6: Truly a whole fing.
- 28:40Speaker 3: I'm so DRUEA melody isn't an interesting thing.
- 28:43Speaker 1: To think about.
- 28:44Speaker 5: And we this slate that we are approaching, really we've
- 28:46Speaker 5: touched it before, but we are trying to move past
- 28:50Speaker 5: and learn from our mistakes in the past. That is
- 28:53Speaker 5: why we have the new Shamoo show, Shamou Still Learning.
- 28:56Speaker 5: It is a wonderful.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Show, an apology tour.
- 29:00Speaker 5: It's an apology tour for Shamoo and we're we're.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Because it was Shamoo's fault.
- 29:09Speaker 1: She's what we do.
- 29:10Speaker 5: This is the Yeah, the show is Shamoo taking a
- 29:12Speaker 5: stand in publicly apologizing. Finally.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Well, and here's what we.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Do with Shamoo gets the Shamo gets the floor and
- 29:19Speaker 2: then we listen. So the animal trainers we all get on. Uh,
- 29:23Speaker 2: we sit down, we kneel and we listen and all
- 29:25Speaker 2: that's all we're doing. Is we're listening show.
- 29:29Speaker 3: By the way, we're all in this.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Yeah, we're all absolutely incredible. Is that so we can
- 29:33Speaker 4: feel what it's like to be in the fish's shoes.
- 29:35Speaker 4: We are in full fish gear. We feel the weight
- 29:40Speaker 4: of the water and the fish flippers by putting on
- 29:43Speaker 4: heavy prosthetics.
- 29:45Speaker 2: And just to show how sorry we are, you guys
- 29:47Speaker 2: get to splash us. So we leave buckets of water
- 29:50Speaker 2: under the seat and you get to throw water.
- 29:53Speaker 5: At us, water and sardines. You guys gotta whip us
- 29:56Speaker 5: with these things. And I'll let you guys know with
- 30:00Speaker 5: the test audience. Some kids are into baseball.
- 30:04Speaker 3: And am Brahmavic performance are where she lines up a
- 30:08Speaker 3: bunch of things and lets you do things to her.
- 30:11Speaker 3: So we've taken a lot of inspiration from her.
- 30:13Speaker 1: And the trainers are present.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Yes, And though the show has not been open for
- 30:17Speaker 4: very long, the reactions and the responses we are seeing
- 30:20Speaker 4: are truly healing and cathartic. It's it's absolutely incredible that
- 30:24Speaker 4: we are healing past generations of white of what might
- 30:28Speaker 4: not have been a good a good company. And I
- 30:32Speaker 4: and I think all four of us are sitting down.
- 30:35Speaker 4: We're doing press finally, they've never let us do press.
- 30:37Speaker 4: And I think it's finally because we are an open
- 30:40Speaker 4: door company, right we are we and we're having these
- 30:44Speaker 4: conversations and we're talking about these difficult topics because we
- 30:47Speaker 4: are not scared.
- 30:48Speaker 5: And the conversation usually goes, are you gonna free the
- 30:52Speaker 5: big mammals? And we say no, and that is the
- 30:55Speaker 5: end of the conversation.
- 30:56Speaker 6: Say shut.
- 30:59Speaker 2: And what I would say me too, is I love,
- 31:01Speaker 2: as an employee who's only really been here five years,
- 31:04Speaker 2: being the face of the punishment. I think it's really
- 31:07Speaker 2: nice and I really like diving in pun intended head
- 31:11Speaker 2: on into the shit storm that the bosses and the
- 31:15Speaker 2: executives that haven't changed are responsible for.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's really fun for me to be the face of it.
- 31:20Speaker 5: And I'm enjoying it.
- 31:21Speaker 1: And I know that they see it. They and I
- 31:23Speaker 1: know that they're cann reward me in the future.
- 31:25Speaker 6: It reminds me of movies when the loved one takes
- 31:27Speaker 6: a bullet for his.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Other loved one, because exactly, we.
- 31:30Speaker 6: Don't work for our bosses. We work for the fish,
- 31:33Speaker 6: like that is my boss.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh yeah, we definitely work for the fish.
- 31:40Speaker 3: I love those guys. Those are my boys right there,
- 31:43Speaker 3: and I tell you they are some salty dogs. We
- 31:46Speaker 3: cannot let go of the bond that we have with
- 31:49Speaker 3: the fish. I tell you some of the things these
- 31:51Speaker 3: dolphins whisper to me. They are crass, they are rude,
- 31:54Speaker 3: and they are not to be repeated on air.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Okay, give us one. I know you have your drink
- 32:00Speaker 5: king dolphins that you guys, you play your craps and
- 32:02Speaker 5: you you drink. You drink your drinks with the.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Dolphins space, Yeah, buddy creates this space for the older
- 32:11Speaker 4: dolphins to feel really comfortable and saying whatever they want.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Well, you know, those dolphins have been around for a while.
- 32:19Speaker 3: They're dogs. They don't have a filter anymore. They just
- 32:21Speaker 3: want to hang with their boys. They need a guy's
- 32:25Speaker 3: space to be free to talk about it. You know,
- 32:28Speaker 3: one dolphin told me the dirtiest joke the other day.
- 32:31Speaker 3: He said, So, a wife walks into an ocean bar
- 32:37Speaker 3: and she says, I don't know how big my husband's noses.
- 32:43Speaker 3: And she goes to a a rabbi dolphin, a priest dolphin,
- 32:48Speaker 3: and a doctor dolphin, and then she asks her the question,
- 32:53Speaker 3: and then and then the priest dolphin says, well, what
- 32:56Speaker 3: about have you been to the bedroom? And then the Dolphin?
- 33:00Speaker 3: And you know, this joke goes on forever, and I
- 33:03Speaker 3: can't remember the punchline.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Really dirty, but only for Dolphins.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I was gonna say. It does feel like it's getting
- 33:08Speaker 2: a little lost in translation. You're translating it from Dolphin.
- 33:11Speaker 3: It was so funny when the Dolphin told it. No,
- 33:14Speaker 3: I remember the punchline. I just don't remember how we
- 33:16Speaker 3: got there. He says, well, honey, if you were looking
- 33:20Speaker 3: in the mirror, you know it's a whole. I don't remember.
- 33:25Speaker 3: There's a crucial middle part that I'm missing. But when
- 33:29Speaker 3: the Dolphins you told it, it.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Was so you kind of lost me. As a wife
- 33:33Speaker 5: goes into a bar, that's crazy. Didn't work. It is
- 33:39Speaker 5: a weird translation.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I think it could happen, John, Wives can go to
- 33:42Speaker 2: bars now.
- 33:43Speaker 5: I know. It's just funny to talk to say that
- 33:46Speaker 5: they're a wife, not a woman or anything. It's just
- 33:48Speaker 5: a wife straight too.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Anyway, listen, these are my boys. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Well I just wanted to mention too. You know, we
- 33:59Speaker 2: talked a lot of the shows, but see world. But
- 34:02Speaker 2: also let me scre up the notes will also let
- 34:05Speaker 2: me want me to let you know that there are
- 34:07Speaker 2: seven roller coasters as well that are very fun, and
- 34:11Speaker 2: you should check out the roller coasters. I don't really
- 34:13Speaker 2: I don't really like the roller coasters. None of us
- 34:15Speaker 2: here really like the roller coasters.
- 34:16Speaker 5: We don't get it.
- 34:17Speaker 2: We dunk on the roller coasters all the time. I
- 34:19Speaker 2: don't get it. That's not what you know. It doesn't
- 34:20Speaker 2: combined for me, doesn't create a show. You know, but
- 34:24Speaker 2: but but but but but but it's it's fine, you know,
- 34:28Speaker 2: I have some complaints.
- 34:30Speaker 1: The roller coasters rile up a lot of the animals.
- 34:32Speaker 5: For one, Yes, I mean it is so tough to
- 34:34Speaker 5: do a show. And then a roller coaster comes about
- 34:37Speaker 5: twenty feet from your shelter and the animals get spooked
- 34:41Speaker 5: and immediately start, you know, acting like wild animals, because
- 34:45Speaker 5: this is the thing. Even though they are in captivity
- 34:47Speaker 5: and raising captivity, they are still wild animals. You know,
- 34:51Speaker 5: these are not domesticated animals. So having the wave tycoons
- 34:56Speaker 5: sprint right by your head while you're dealing with a
- 34:59Speaker 5: giant whale or a couple of orcas, it's scary, it's traumatizing,
- 35:06Speaker 5: and it can go south quickly.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and I feel like they've made it. They've made
- 35:10Speaker 2: a decision, right, they kind of where they were choosing.
- 35:12Speaker 1: They could either.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Side with us, with the animal trainers, and they could
- 35:14Speaker 2: side with the roller coaster enthusiasts. And let's just say
- 35:17Speaker 2: there was a roller coaster that was built, and because
- 35:20Speaker 2: it was built, we could no longer do the Manateee Opera.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And I think that's very sad. I think I'm gonna
- 35:25Speaker 2: miss the man at the opera a lot. Those guys
- 35:27Speaker 2: were so really good, you know.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Part of the reason was the roller coaster. Part of
- 35:31Speaker 5: the reason was that they're an extremely endangered animal and
- 35:34Speaker 5: we had to return them to Florida. But yeah, most
- 35:38Speaker 5: but these manatees were so good at singing.
- 35:42Speaker 6: I mean it was the Christmas show where we had
- 35:45Speaker 6: the Christmas.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Carols when they sang the Christmas version of which wish
- 35:49Speaker 1: you well. It was so good.
- 35:52Speaker 3: And I'm gonna miss the ones that learned how to
- 35:54Speaker 3: smoke cigarettes.
- 35:57Speaker 6: But we should say what our new Christmas show is.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Octopuses OCTOPI making a movie. It is so fun.
- 36:07Speaker 3: So it's really high concept.
- 36:10Speaker 6: So high concept, and it's for Christmas and.
- 36:12Speaker 3: You're probably wondering what makes it Christmas? Well, yeah, it's
- 36:16Speaker 3: a Christmas movie and the octopus is Santa mm hmm.
- 36:21Speaker 1: And we let them write it.
- 36:23Speaker 2: To be honest, we let them write it and they're
- 36:24Speaker 2: gonna do their thing and they don't take notes very well,
- 36:26Speaker 2: so we're gonna let them do it.
- 36:28Speaker 5: So the octopus that was predicting the World Cup, we
- 36:31Speaker 5: have a bunch of octopus in different cages and they
- 36:35Speaker 5: kind of choose greener Red to choose a word or
- 36:37Speaker 5: a noun or an idea, and through that we write
- 36:40Speaker 5: a script. Then we get them all dressed up in
- 36:42Speaker 5: there cute Christmas outfits. We're putting felt, we're putting cotton,
- 36:47Speaker 5: We're putting a lot of clothing on these octopus and
- 36:49Speaker 5: we watch them make this movie absolutely incredible.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I can't wait for you guys to see it now.
- 36:59Speaker 3: I got a question, and a lot of our job
- 37:02Speaker 3: involves performing, you know, talking to the audience. Have you,
- 37:06Speaker 3: guys ever had something in a show go horribly wrong?
- 37:10Speaker 5: Have you?
- 37:11Speaker 3: And how do you deal with that as a.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Profetie Buddy, we said we weren't gonna talk about this, Well.
- 37:17Speaker 3: We don't have to get into anything no, Harry, I'm
- 37:20Speaker 3: just saying that sometimes people miss their cues. They missed
- 37:24Speaker 3: their lines, they missed their splash cues. I can't tell
- 37:28Speaker 3: you how many dolphins have missed the splash Q. And
- 37:31Speaker 3: you gotta recover. You gotta get your foot in there
- 37:34Speaker 3: so slyly and so stealthily that the audience doesn't notice
- 37:37Speaker 3: your kicking water out of them.
- 37:39Speaker 4: And Johnny Cross must remember that this is a now
- 37:42Speaker 4: open door policy.
- 37:44Speaker 6: So we say everything, We say everything.
- 37:48Speaker 3: But I think Melody's freaking out right now. I can
- 37:51Speaker 3: see her gripping all sides of the table. So you
- 37:54Speaker 3: don't stop me if I'm going too far.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Now, this is totally fight jo whoh Okay, Sandy, go ahead,
- 38:02Speaker 2: tell us a story, then tell us, tell us your experience.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Well, I've never done anything wrong, okay, And I've never
- 38:08Speaker 4: ever had to reprimand a fish or reprimand anything.
- 38:13Speaker 6: So that's why I'm.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Saying I'm not scared of the open door policy, because
- 38:18Speaker 4: I'm just telling you that nothing has ever happened to me.
- 38:20Speaker 5: Okay, Well, what about that time that you gave the
- 38:23Speaker 5: wrong upcue and the fish ten thousand fish jumped into
- 38:27Speaker 5: the stands?
- 38:27Speaker 1: How about that.
- 38:28Speaker 5: Do you want to talk about that or no?
- 38:33Speaker 4: I think you John Cross should address the time you
- 38:38Speaker 4: took a dolphin and asked it to give you a
- 38:41Speaker 4: ride home and you put a dolphin in your Toyota Corolla.
- 38:44Speaker 5: I was drunk. I needed somebody to drive me. I
- 38:47Speaker 5: needed somebody to drive me. Okay, hey, I'll back you
- 38:50Speaker 5: on that.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You gotta take a dolphin as a DD. They understand
- 38:55Speaker 3: the wheel, They understand the wheel. They'll never be able
- 38:57Speaker 3: to prove it, but I know they got it.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Okay, fine, I'll talk about my experience. So Yes, one
- 39:10Speaker 2: time I had to take an honor to planned parenthood.
- 39:14Speaker 2: I won't go farther than that. It was one of
- 39:17Speaker 2: the darkest days of both of our lives. It was
- 39:21Speaker 2: really hard, really hard, and I won't speak too much
- 39:27Speaker 2: on that, but things do go wrong.
- 39:29Speaker 4: I want to say the treatment that I have been
- 39:31Speaker 4: given because I just had a couple of fish going
- 39:33Speaker 4: to the audience me my melody brought a literal honor
- 39:37Speaker 4: to a planned parenthood for an unexplainable reason.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Is absolute batshit unfair?
- 39:42Speaker 3: Now this opens up a different question I have, which
- 39:45Speaker 3: is are there animal specific planned parenthoods?
- 39:50Speaker 1: No, there are not, No, they're not not.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Somebody had to take a job that they weren't sure about.
- 39:56Speaker 2: So that's we got a lot of stairs in the
- 39:59Speaker 2: waiting room. People in the waiting room were already having
- 40:01Speaker 2: one of the worst dates of their lives. And then
- 40:03Speaker 2: they look at me and they're like, what are they
- 40:05Speaker 2: doing with this honor who's sobbing in my hands? And
- 40:07Speaker 2: then of course we went into the doctor and that
- 40:09Speaker 2: was a really really specific situation. Again, I won't get
- 40:13Speaker 2: into the details because it's not my story to tell,
- 40:15Speaker 2: but yeah, this was a it was a human doctor.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Have you seen the have you seen the dick Talk
- 40:24Speaker 4: melody that's.
- 40:25Speaker 6: Going v roll of a girl following you.
- 40:28Speaker 4: And into a planned parent and she goes, you, guys,
- 40:32Speaker 4: I swear this person.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Is now because we were it was. It was me
- 40:38Speaker 1: and Skippy the hotter.
- 40:39Speaker 2: We were holding hands and I was the otter was
- 40:41Speaker 2: on on hind legs and we were holding hands walking
- 40:45Speaker 2: in I.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Think I actually did see this video. It was the
- 40:48Speaker 3: only thing that has ever stopped the anti abortion protesters
- 40:52Speaker 3: from being crazy. They all just stopped what.
- 40:55Speaker 5: They were doing.
- 40:56Speaker 3: They put down their signs and said, you know what,
- 40:58Speaker 3: that's actually really weird, and I I don't know.
- 41:02Speaker 5: This one. I think will allow whatever this is, We're
- 41:05Speaker 5: gonna let it happen.
- 41:11Speaker 6: And I want to know, Melody. I'm just gonna ask you.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Did you ask one of John Cross's dolphins to drive
- 41:16Speaker 4: the car for both of you to go to play
- 41:18Speaker 4: in Para?
- 41:19Speaker 2: Absolutely not. Those dolphins would not would not have understood
- 41:23Speaker 2: a single thing about what we were doing, and I
- 41:25Speaker 2: didn't want to have to deal with them.
- 41:28Speaker 3: You are right about that. I would trust behind the wheel.
- 41:31Speaker 5: I would not.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Trust them to handle a delicate emotional situation.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Are brass? They your dogs?
- 41:37Speaker 4: No, Honestly, we call the area where Buddy swims with
- 41:40Speaker 4: those old dolphins.
- 41:42Speaker 6: We call that the locker room underwater, because we do.
- 41:45Speaker 3: I'm saying, this is the locker room under the water,
- 41:49Speaker 3: and the dolphins have a word for it. They call
- 41:51Speaker 3: it the which translates to the boys house.
- 41:55Speaker 5: Absolutely, and the locker room underwater instead of the boys house.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Region old slang for both parties.
- 42:06Speaker 6: The translation is nearly the same.
- 42:08Speaker 3: God, I wish you guys could understand that joke. I
- 42:11Speaker 3: just remembered a different part of it. So the wife
- 42:13Speaker 3: says to the priest.
- 42:15Speaker 6: How do I know.
- 42:17Speaker 3: How do I know that my husband's knows is this long?
- 42:22Speaker 3: And then the priest hands her a magnifying glass and says,
- 42:26Speaker 3: take this to your husband and ask him to use it.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Oh my god, but I can't remember how that connects
- 42:32Speaker 3: to the lad Thank god, you guys, this joke is
- 42:35Speaker 3: so funny. I swear to God. I swear to God,
- 42:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna remember it. I'm not telling it right. I'm
- 42:40Speaker 3: not doing a justice.
- 42:41Speaker 5: No, I don't think you are well.
- 42:43Speaker 2: This has been fun, but Edgar is drying up and
- 42:45Speaker 2: he's gonna get mad at me. Yeah, okay, we're gonna
- 42:49Speaker 2: go soon. So so I just want to say, please

- 43:18Speaker 3: a skirt too short. Those dolphins will slide up below
- 43:22Speaker 3: and take a picture. They are dogs.
- 43:25Speaker 4: And if you think a dolphin could drive a car,
- 43:27Speaker 4: wait till you see a dolphin take a picture on
- 43:29Speaker 4: an iPhone.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Am I right? That's right?
