  Matthew 26, which says, "Peter replied,

  even if all fall away on account of you,

  I never will." But Peter declared, "Even

  if I have to die with you, I will never

  disown you." and all the other disciples

  said the same. Watch and pray so you

  will not fall into temptation. The

  spirit is willing, but the flesh is

  weak. I feel as committed to Jesus as

  Peter. I think most of us feel this way.

  We'll never fall away from Jesus or deny
• 0:41
  his name, even if suffering severe
• 0:44
  persecution. Yeah. How many times have
• 0:46
  we failed already? How many times have
• 0:48
  we remained silent among the pagans or
• 0:50
  entered into their sinful conversation
• 0:53
  or activity or opinion? How many times
• 0:55
  have we feared the opinion of men more
• 0:57
  than the opinion of God? Perhaps more

  importantly, are we even aware of the
• 1:02
  depths of sin in our hearts that so long
• 1:05
  to be loved, accepted, and adored by the
• 1:07
  world? Do we watch our souls, ensuring
• 1:10
  they are kept from running
• 1:12
  wholeheartedly toward the selfish
• 1:14
  indulgence they so long to fulfill? Do
• 1:17
  we measure our desires against the will
• 1:20
  of God by reading voraciously the word
• 1:22
  of God so that we're constantly
• 1:25
  corrected, instructed, and rebuked
• 1:27
  toward the things of God and not the
• 1:29
  desires of our flesh? Do we pray without
• 1:32
  ceasing for purity of heart and mind so
• 1:35
  that we do not gratify the desires of
• 1:37
  the sinful nature? Is prayer the place
• 1:40
  we go for power to live and to cleanse
• 1:43
  our souls from the evil we've seen in
• 1:45
  our hearts and secretly want in our
• 1:47
  lives? Talk is cheap. Everyone is a
• 1:50
  believer in God, but few are disciples.

  Few indeed are those who have taken up
• 1:56
  their cross, denied themselves, and
• 1:58
  followed Jesus in absolute obedience to
• 2:01
  every word the Father has spoken.
