Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: I'm Teddy Mellencamp and this is Emily Simpson and you're listening.
- 0:05Speaker 2: To Popping Off. So we are recapping episode five. It
- 0:10Speaker 2: starts with Macy and Michaela telling their husbands that the
- 0:14Speaker 2: weekend was filled with drama. Whitney's telling her the mom
- 0:17Speaker 2: that the weekend sucked despite the social media pictures looking
- 0:20Speaker 2: like they all had a blast.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Isn't that social media or that one of those Instagram
- 0:26Speaker 1: versus reality right?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Yeah? Then Jen is telling Zach that a lot of
- 0:31Speaker 2: hurtful things were said. Taylor's questioning things about her friendship,
- 0:36Speaker 2: wondering if she wants to be friends with these people anymore.
- 0:38Speaker 2: She's telling this to Dakota and then she's like, maybe
- 0:41Speaker 2: you're my only friend and I'm like, oh, hell no, oll.
- 0:46Speaker 1: You need you need to rethink that one.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and then Demi calls it an absolute bloodbath. Whitney
- 0:53Speaker 2: claims Demi started attacking her out of nowhere and cries
- 0:56Speaker 2: to her mom about these girls. I think to myself,
- 1:00Speaker 2: can mom talk survive this at least twice a day now?
- 1:03Speaker 2: And I think it can't?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Do you think that a lot? Are you just driving
- 1:07Speaker 1: and You're like, I don't know, can mom talk survive this?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I don't drive, but when I'm being
- 1:13Speaker 2: driven by now Bella who has their permit, which is
- 1:17Speaker 2: so exciting, I'm like, she's like, I have to get
- 1:19Speaker 2: one hundred hours. I'm like, ah, you have to drive.
- 1:23Speaker 2: But yeah, I think about it. I think about it
- 1:26Speaker 2: a lot.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I don't understand why they constantly ask if mom talk
- 1:30Speaker 1: can survive, Like what does that fundamentally mean? Because they
- 1:35Speaker 1: clearly all make videos together, whether they hate each other
- 1:38Speaker 1: or not. I think they're very focused on the fact
- 1:41Speaker 1: that when they make videos together it does better, so
- 1:43Speaker 1: they put those whatever personal differences they have. I feel
- 1:47Speaker 1: like they don't care. They're just more about making social
- 1:49Speaker 1: media content.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they just want to get that bag. They're like,
- 1:54Speaker 2: whatever way we can get the money. Who cares that
- 1:56Speaker 2: we all hate each other? But also like, were you
- 1:59Speaker 2: even friends in the first place? And of course mom
- 2:01Speaker 2: talk can survive this. Mom talk was built because of this, right.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's why I don't understand the constant can mom talk
- 2:09Speaker 1: survive bomp bomb bomb? It's like, yeah, can because you all,
- 2:13Speaker 1: all you care and all you focus on is making
- 2:15Speaker 1: content together and you don't care about anything else.
- 2:18Speaker 2: About the repercussions right, anything else, of course it will well.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Then Jesse to me and Layla are getting swig Aka
- 2:25Speaker 2: they're Mormon crack, and there's a sign for fruity pebbles
- 2:30Speaker 2: rice crispies, and they joke that Whitney must have been
- 2:33Speaker 2: there to put the sign for them to me orders
- 2:36Speaker 2: a thirty two ounce Texas Tab which is doctor Pepper,
- 2:38Speaker 2: vanilla and coconut cream. Demi orders is very specific. She
- 2:42Speaker 2: gets forty four ounce Fighter, which is forty four ounces
- 2:45Speaker 2: of sparkling water with sugar free coconut, sugar free vanilla,
- 2:48Speaker 2: sugar free raspberry, sugar free pineapple, and coconut cream. That
- 2:51Speaker 2: sounds discussed, it does. And then Layla gets a forty
- 2:55Speaker 2: four ounce Bloody Wild, which is a mountain dew with
- 2:58Speaker 2: mango and strawberry pure. Plus she adds coconut cream.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I feel like that everybody has the coconut cream.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Listen. I feel like a glass of wine might be healthier.
- 3:09Speaker 1: With coconut cream. You know, hold the coconut cream.
- 3:16Speaker 2: But then Layla is having a divorce party and they're
- 3:19Speaker 2: wondering if Whitney will show up.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Do you think Whitney is as calculated as she looks
- 3:26Speaker 1: about when she shows up, how she shows up, not
- 3:29Speaker 1: showing up, showing up late, or do you think that's
- 3:31Speaker 1: more of production kind of molding her into the villain.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, I think we have to keep in mind that
- 3:37Speaker 2: Whitney officially left the mom Talk group message and blocked
- 3:42Speaker 2: dem on, TikTok and Instagram. So I think whenever you
- 3:48Speaker 2: leave a group chat like that in kind of a
- 3:50Speaker 2: dramatic fashion.
- 3:52Speaker 1: How is it traumatic when you leave a group chat?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Is it like because you it says like this person
- 3:57Speaker 2: has left the group?
- 3:58Speaker 1: How do you how do you make it? You can't
- 4:00Speaker 1: make it dramatic. It just is what it is. It
- 4:02Speaker 1: just says this person left.
- 4:04Speaker 2: No, it's dramatic because you're all filming a television show together,
- 4:08Speaker 2: all supposed to be talking about it. I mean I
- 4:13Speaker 2: think that it makes it seem like she's going away
- 4:15Speaker 2: and you guys should all panic because without her, I'm like,
- 4:19Speaker 2: don't worry. Without her, they'll, you know, bring somebody else
- 4:23Speaker 2: to the mud. It's fine, we get we'll get into
- 4:25Speaker 2: other relationships.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I mean, you're not going to get those you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: nick you RSV videos anymore? With her gone?
- 4:32Speaker 2: Are the farting and flipping over or once.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But then while they're talking about her leaving the group
- 4:42Speaker 2: chat and they're all discussing how you know she just
- 4:45Speaker 2: wants people to check on her and do this and that.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Uh.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Then Demi says she's refusing to cater to Whitney's victim
- 4:53Speaker 2: mentality and she obviously left the group chat to gain sympathy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: But then Jesse's like, well, with Whitney gone and Taylor
- 5:01Speaker 2: not really caring to me, are you going to be
- 5:04Speaker 2: the queen Bee? Could you imagine talking like this?
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's yeah, I know, I know the conversations right, that
- 5:11Speaker 1: these are actual real conversations.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Going on, Like this is worse than the drama and
- 5:16Speaker 2: like slate sixth grade class right escus which kids are
- 5:21Speaker 2: gonna wear what Halloween costumes and be in groups? And
- 5:25Speaker 2: like I can't see.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I know I'm going through that same conversation with Annabel
- 5:30Speaker 1: because she said that everybody is going to be like
- 5:33Speaker 1: a traffic cone and I'm like, well, you better make
- 5:35Speaker 1: sure everybody's a traffic cone because if they all decide
- 5:38Speaker 1: and don't tell you, you're going to show up as a
- 5:39Speaker 1: traffic code and everybody else is going to be like
- 5:42Speaker 1: a palorpuff girl or something, and you're a traffic cone,
- 5:45Speaker 1: so make sure you know what's going on, like.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Stay alert and then leaving certain kids out and all that.
- 5:52Speaker 2: And I'm like, Slate, you got to just go with
- 5:55Speaker 2: the flow, Like fine if you want to be a
- 5:56Speaker 2: Disney princess with all the girls, but it's not even
- 6:00Speaker 2: a Disney princess. Like I'm like, it's gonna be arial.
- 6:02Speaker 2: So I'm like, do I get a red wig? Should
- 6:04Speaker 2: we do this? Should we do that? Do you need
- 6:05Speaker 2: a mermaid to holl She's like, no, Mom, no wigs, sea
- 6:09Speaker 2: shells for the hair, a green skirt and then a
- 6:14Speaker 2: purple top from Addicted Addicted spelled e ed ik t.
- 6:18Speaker 1: D oh Adicted Addicted addicts sead And they're all wearing
- 6:24Speaker 1: the same shirt and different colors and different princesses.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I'm like, I.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Okay, it's better than traffic cone.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I mean, it is better until you have to go
- 6:33Speaker 2: to the grove and wait in line and addicted to
- 6:38Speaker 2: get a scratchy tank top for your daughter to wear
- 6:41Speaker 2: for Halloween costumes.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Can we just go back? Can I just say one thing?
- 6:54Speaker 1: I just want to point out how annoying Whitney is
- 6:57Speaker 1: that she left the group chat and then wanted everybody
- 6:59Speaker 1: to tech started to ask her why she left the
- 7:01Speaker 1: group chat. That's so Whitney.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It's so whitney. Also, Whitney explaining the story to her
- 7:07Speaker 2: mom is so whitney because everybody else is kind of
- 7:11Speaker 2: on point with where the story is, but then she's
- 7:14Speaker 2: explaining it. But Whitney and Connor are making homemade animal
- 7:17Speaker 2: crackers with their kids. Honestly, I'd rather cut my face
- 7:20Speaker 2: off than make homemade animal crackers.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I didn't even know that was the thing. I didn't
- 7:25Speaker 1: know you could make homemade animal crackers. Giving trad wife,
- 7:29Speaker 1: giving trad wife. Yeah, no, who doesn't give tradwife? Me
- 7:33Speaker 1: or you? I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I was planning on making some homemade animal crackers right
- 7:41Speaker 1: after this.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I was actually planning on planting my own grass growing up.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I mean, it's.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Let me tell you what I made Shane for dinner
- 7:52Speaker 1: last night. This is okay, this is tradwife right here.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Hamburger helper.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You know what I love? Hamburger helper. Was it the
- 8:01Speaker 2: creamy one or the red one?
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's like the creamy one. He loves it. It's his
- 8:05Speaker 1: favorite thing.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Ever.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I have like eight thousand boxes of hamburger helper in
- 8:08Speaker 1: my pantry because that's all he ever wants.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Can you make me hamburger helper?
- 8:12Speaker 1: I will make you hamburger helper.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I would like that.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I would like that, but only if we make like
- 8:18Speaker 1: a social media reel or something.
- 8:21Speaker 2: People how to make it. As if they were so difficult.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Right, we could tell people how to be a trad
- 8:26Speaker 1: wife and we could make hamburger helper.
- 8:29Speaker 3: So first what we do is we drive to the
- 8:31Speaker 3: grocery store and it can't be a Gelson's because they
- 8:35Speaker 3: don't carry such chemicals. So then we go over to
- 8:39Speaker 3: Ralph's and we pick up a hamburger helper creamy style. Yes,
- 8:43Speaker 3: Then you put it into.
- 8:44Speaker 2: A pan, add water, and then you add raw meat
- 8:47Speaker 2: and you just mix it together.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Then you feed it to said husband.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Tap the link for more hot tips from trad wives.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But Whitney's leveled. It's admirable, it's great. Macy thinks mom
- 9:04Speaker 2: Talk needs Whitney and they should all try to make amends.
- 9:07Speaker 2: But then Whitney openly states there wouldn't be a mom
- 9:11Speaker 2: Talk without her Okay, let.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Me ask who started the whole mom Talk idea of
- 9:15Speaker 1: bringing all these women together? Was it Taylor or was
- 9:17Speaker 1: it Whitney? Like where did the original idea?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Taylor?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Taylor? So why does she act like it wouldn't exist
- 9:24Speaker 1: without her?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Because I think she thought Taylor went off the rails. Well,
- 9:28Speaker 2: and the two girls that aren't even on the show,
- 9:30Speaker 2: the ones involved in the actual swinging legend, Yeah, they're
- 9:35Speaker 2: the ones that originally started it. But it's either way,
- 9:41Speaker 2: either do it or don't do it. It's like somebody's saying, like,
- 9:43Speaker 2: I'm not gonna I don't want to be on the
- 9:45Speaker 2: show anymore.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Then leave right because they say they don't want to
- 9:48Speaker 1: be on the show because they want everybody to say no,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but we want you on the show. You should be
- 9:53Speaker 1: on the show. Zip.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It either be on the show and cause some drama
- 9:57Speaker 2: like you naturally do.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Or go relief, I mean.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And then Taylor and Dakota show up to Jen and
- 10:07Speaker 2: Zach's house. Jen feels responsible for the divide within mom
- 10:10Speaker 2: Top because she didn't invite half the girls to the
- 10:13Speaker 2: baby blessing. To make amends, Jen and Zach are going
- 10:16Speaker 2: to give Dakota a crash course on how to be
- 10:20Speaker 2: a parent. They're showing him how to make a bottle,
- 10:23Speaker 2: change a diaper section, boogers out of a baby's nose.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Dakota tries all these things on Luca, who's maybe the
- 10:30Speaker 2: calmest baby ever. Right, Taylor would give him a bee
- 10:34Speaker 2: on his performance. And then Taylor refuses to be pressured
- 10:38Speaker 2: by anyone Dakota, her family, or her religion to get
- 10:41Speaker 2: married when she's not ready. Smart move, shouldn't get ready.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But here's my question, why didn't she use that same
- 10:48Speaker 1: like logic and putting her foot down as far as
- 10:51Speaker 1: getting pregnant.
- 10:56Speaker 2: That was a really dramatic side that I just had.
- 10:58Speaker 2: But it's yeah, I was thinking of it, like, I
- 11:01Speaker 2: don't know, because I've never really understood the concept of
- 11:05Speaker 2: like having a baby to save a relationship type mentality,
- 11:10Speaker 2: solely because I think having kids is hard.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But okay, so you think she got pregnant to try
- 11:15Speaker 1: to save the relationship, but she draws a line as
- 11:18Speaker 1: far as getting married like having a baby's fine.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I think there is in toxic relationships like this one.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I think there is a need to like want to
- 11:30Speaker 2: have that constant bond of something and so that's why
- 11:35Speaker 2: they were doing that, but ultimately she knew it wasn't
- 11:40Speaker 2: going to work.
- 11:41Speaker 1: But now, yeah, and I get that, And I think
- 11:44Speaker 1: that's what bothers me about having the baby is she
- 11:46Speaker 1: knows that he's not the best guy. She knows that
- 11:49Speaker 1: they probably aren't going to end up together. She won't
- 11:51Speaker 1: marry him, but she'll have a child with him. I
- 11:53Speaker 1: guess that's where I'm like, it doesn't make sense to.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Me, especially now that we know you can use birth
- 11:58Speaker 2: control in LDS. Yes, when I didn't know, when I
- 12:03Speaker 2: thought like maybe they were doing the pull up method
- 12:05Speaker 2: it didn't work, that I could maybe get my hand,
- 12:07Speaker 2: but like she had already had a like a topic pregnancy,
- 12:12Speaker 2: and then she's still doubled down and.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Got there again.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think he's I yes, we're only seeing the negative
- 12:20Speaker 2: parts of their relationship, but most of the time in narcissistic, toxic,
- 12:24Speaker 2: terrible relationships, there is an extreme high. And I think
- 12:28Speaker 2: during that extreme high is when they think they should
- 12:31Speaker 2: make a baby together. Then Layla brings Jen into me
- 12:34Speaker 2: with her to a tattoo parlor. She has a tattoo
- 12:37Speaker 2: that symbolizes her and her now ax, so she's decided
- 12:40Speaker 2: to get it covered. She got married at nineteen and
- 12:43Speaker 2: they had a shotgun wedding because they were pregnant. Jen
- 12:46Speaker 2: finds it very courageous of Layla to walk away from
- 12:50Speaker 2: a marriage, especially being LDS. Layla's going to get a
- 12:53Speaker 2: tattoo for her sister even though they aren't close. Then
- 12:58Speaker 2: Layla's not close with anyone her family, and she thinks
- 13:01Speaker 2: that's why she rushed into marriage with Clay. Demi admits
- 13:04Speaker 2: it's very common in the Mormon religion just stay in
- 13:07Speaker 2: an unhappy marriage just to try to make things work.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I kind of want to know why things didn't work.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I don't think we've really gotten into this information less
- 13:16Speaker 2: I miss something with Leila and her ex.
- 13:19Speaker 1: No, I don't. I don't think. I really feel like
- 13:22Speaker 1: with Layla there's there's a lot more there and we're
- 13:24Speaker 1: just not seeing it. I think she's not as open
- 13:26Speaker 1: as the other women. I think she's maybe they're not
- 13:28Speaker 1: showing her storyline yet. That's true too, I mean, obviously
- 13:32Speaker 1: there's going to be more. I can't imagine that there
- 13:34Speaker 1: isn't another season after this, so maybe they're going to
- 13:37Speaker 1: delve deeper into the personal stories.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but I do. I don't help me think back,
- 13:45Speaker 2: like if you are on Housewives, if your ex isn't
- 13:50Speaker 2: in it, Like could Shane talk about his ex as
- 13:54Speaker 2: much as he wants as long as he doesn't show
- 13:56Speaker 2: a picture of her?
- 13:58Speaker 1: You know, I do talk about his X and never
- 14:00Speaker 1: show it. So because she's not on the show, she's
- 14:04Speaker 1: not on the show. Yeah, I don't. I don't know. Yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but I mean they show Katie like saying stuff about
- 14:12Speaker 1: her ex, but she's also all.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Over the press, you know what I'm saying, Like her
- 14:18Speaker 2: stuff is all over the world.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I mean, so you're saying it's out there publicly already.
- 14:25Speaker 2: No, I'm saying there seems to be drama surrounding it
- 14:28Speaker 2: that is getting you know, it's contradictory. Like I mentioned
- 14:33Speaker 2: that when I was on Beverly Hills, I mentioned that
- 14:35Speaker 2: I was married before like the women had asked me,
- 14:38Speaker 2: I talked. There was nothing I hit about it, There's
- 14:40Speaker 2: nothing salacious about the story. It was like I got
- 14:42Speaker 2: married young. Yeah, and then we realized we were good
- 14:46Speaker 2: friends and that was kind of it. And I don't
- 14:48Speaker 2: think they ever showed that either. And then people were like, hey.
- 14:51Speaker 3: We saw that Teddy was on in style.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Weddings with her first husband, and she hid that she
- 14:56Speaker 2: was married. I'm like, right, no, I talked about it.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Shame of my game, right.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Well, And you know, sometimes I feel like they don't
- 15:03Speaker 1: use it because it's just not pertinent to what's going on.
- 15:06Speaker 1: You know, it's not like they're leaving it out for
- 15:09Speaker 1: some reason other than they have to cut things.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And also, if we're not ever going to see them, right,
- 15:15Speaker 2: and if.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You're not gonna if that's not like a real storyline,
- 15:18Speaker 1: you're not going to see that person. There's no drama there,
- 15:20Speaker 1: then what's the point.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah. But if there's no drama there, then why'd they
- 15:24Speaker 2: get the divorce?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Why did you get divorced?
- 15:27Speaker 2: I didn't have two kids?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah, see I got I was married before too, and
- 15:31Speaker 1: I got divorced just because it just didn't work out,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and that we had no nothing. We had no kids,
- 15:35Speaker 1: no assets, no nothing. It was easy.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But yeah, and there's still no hard feelings. I'm not
- 15:39Speaker 2: mad about it. Once, every like six years, I mean
- 15:42Speaker 2: to text Matt our producer, and then I accidentally text
- 15:46Speaker 2: my ex husband Matt, and I'm like, yeah, then I
- 15:51Speaker 2: just deleted his number from my phone. So I was like,
- 15:53Speaker 2: this can't happen. But I mean, I don't know, I
- 15:57Speaker 2: don't get it. But then they go to the race,
- 16:00Speaker 2: all of the mom Talk girls besides Whitney, Taylor, and Gin.
- 16:04Speaker 2: They get into jumpsuits and they spray paint all over
- 16:06Speaker 2: each other. Meanwhile Whitney is at home once again baking.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Bake your family. Why are all of Whitney's scenes baking?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Do you think they're all filmed in one day and
- 16:17Speaker 2: she's just changing outfits or this is no.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I think that's what she I think she wants to
- 16:22Speaker 1: come across that way, like she's this traditional wife that
- 16:27Speaker 1: takes care of her family and is a good mom.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Because I'm sure they're like, hey, we're going to come
- 16:32Speaker 1: over and film, you know, so make sure you're doing
- 16:36Speaker 1: something like you know, yeah, you can't just sit there.
- 16:38Speaker 1: So I think she always wants to bake.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, then she's but hurt because she wasn't invited
- 16:43Speaker 2: the paint splatter place. She assumes Taylor wasn't invited only
- 16:46Speaker 2: because she's pregnant, and then Whitney hints to Connor that
- 16:50Speaker 2: she would like to be pregnant too. Whitney thinks it's
- 16:53Speaker 2: so funny that after she left the group chap, no
- 16:55Speaker 2: one called her directly. They called Macia funny. Funny's an
- 16:58Speaker 2: interesting word to you.
- 17:00Speaker 1: And it's so funny.
- 17:02Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But why is she questioning that she didn't get invited
- 17:06Speaker 1: to the paint splatter thing when she left the group chat?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Like she's a nap chat you've been, You've told everyone
- 17:14Speaker 2: I no longer want to be a part of this group.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Exactly, but then she expects an invitation. That's what kills
- 17:19Speaker 1: me about her. She's so delusional.
- 17:22Speaker 2: This is like what the young kids say, but like
- 17:24Speaker 2: that she's a pick me.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yes.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Annabel says that all the time I had no idea
- 17:28Speaker 1: what it meant.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And then I started wondering, am I pick me? But
- 17:31Speaker 2: then nobody would pick me?
- 17:33Speaker 1: So you're here a wanna be pick me? Then?
- 17:45Speaker 2: Whitney claims if she saw someone else leave the group chat,
- 17:48Speaker 2: she would immediately call and ask them if they're okay.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I'm like, you're not even showing up to events, right,
- 17:53Speaker 2: You're so full of shit. She is so full of shit,
- 17:56Speaker 2: But she's not saying that's why she did it though,
- 17:58Speaker 2: mm hmm. She left the group chat because she needed space.
- 18:02Speaker 2: If you needed space and you're leaving a group chat,
- 18:04Speaker 2: I would send a message and say, hey, guys, I'm
- 18:07Speaker 2: not mad at anybody, I'm just going through a lot,
- 18:10Speaker 2: so I'm removing myself from the chat for a little bit.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I love you all. I'll be back once life settles down.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Or you could just not look at the group chat,
- 18:20Speaker 1: Like are you on group chats that you just never
- 18:22Speaker 1: look at I am. I'm on like some group chat
- 18:24Speaker 1: that has to do with like Annabel something that has
- 18:26Speaker 1: a bunch of moms or something on it. I never
- 18:28Speaker 1: look at it.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Like on my WhatsApp, I'm on like eighteen
- 18:31Speaker 2: school group chats where they're like who's going to do
- 18:33Speaker 2: the bake sale? And I'm like me to open this
- 18:37Speaker 2: or respond? But I did see it come in, but
- 18:41Speaker 2: yeah no. But also, if you're in my top six,
- 18:44Speaker 2: you know, do you have that on your phone? Like
- 18:45Speaker 2: the top six at the Yeah, sometimes I don't see
- 18:49Speaker 2: them come in if they're in the top six, I
- 18:51Speaker 2: have a top nine nine. But then you have no
- 18:54Speaker 2: room for text. That just makes me feel uncomfortable.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't make it, it's just like that. I
- 18:59Speaker 1: don't know. But there's a top in nine, but you're
- 19:01Speaker 1: not in there.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I was going to say, you're not online either.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Because you barely respond to my text. My text do
- 19:08Speaker 1: you you reply like forty eight hours later?
- 19:12Speaker 2: But if you DM me, how quick do I respond immediately?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Immediately?
- 19:17Speaker 2: My text give me so much anxiety because there's so
- 19:20Speaker 2: many of them that I honestly like, I looking at
- 19:25Speaker 2: my text messages gives me Rachel.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Now I know how to get a hold of you.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I got to get on Instagram and DM you to
- 19:31Speaker 1: get ahold.
- 19:31Speaker 2: And then you got Then you got me right back.
- 19:33Speaker 2: If you get a good meme, I'm your girl.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yep.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Then they talk about macy launching a business called Baby Mama.
- 19:40Speaker 2: It's a line of natal supplements for women who are
- 19:43Speaker 2: going through their motherhood journey. Macy's invited Taylor to her
- 19:47Speaker 2: photo shoot for Baby Mama, and Taylor brought Dakota.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I know, I thought this was so odd and I
- 19:54Speaker 1: really had to question did she bring him because she
- 19:57Speaker 1: really wanted to bring him? Or did production? I always
- 20:00Speaker 1: am questioning did production say, Hey, why don't you bring Dakota?
- 20:04Speaker 2: But then the weirdest part of it all wasn't even
- 20:06Speaker 2: that she just brought. You know, there are people that
- 20:09Speaker 2: bring their significant others, which yes, I'm not one of
- 20:12Speaker 2: those people.
- 20:13Speaker 4: But then to ask for the ignancy photo with no shirt,
- 20:21Speaker 4: I mean, granted, I have the most cringe.
- 20:24Speaker 2: First, Like when I was pregnant with slate photo shoot
- 20:27Speaker 2: with me and Edwin, he doesn't have a shirt on it.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'm wearing like a shirt that's like draped like this
- 20:31Speaker 2: with my boat and he's like holding underneath, and it's honestly,
- 20:35Speaker 2: I see it, and I get so embarrassed for myself.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Okay, but let me ask you, did you take those
- 20:40Speaker 1: photos at someone else's photo shoot business photo shoot? Right?
- 20:45Speaker 2: I do it in my own home with my friend
- 20:48Speaker 2: like and my husband.
- 20:50Speaker 1: So now so slightly less cringey, not, I mean a little.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Less, a little less I mean not great, I mean not.
- 20:59Speaker 2: I mean I don't have any of them framed in
- 21:02Speaker 2: my home.
- 21:05Speaker 1: You know they're gonna put one in here though, for
- 21:07Speaker 1: for a social media.
- 21:11Speaker 2: But that's to Emily's boolah shoot. Yes, apped with kids rabbits.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Oh could you not find like an adult themed wrapping.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Paper for the No? I couldn't I have. I clearly
- 21:24Speaker 1: have children, young children.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Here's my boot wash shoot.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And then spongebobs like some.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yes yeah I've died, or like little cars.
- 21:39Speaker 1: It was I think I think it was construction trucks.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It was so good. But either way, Macy doesn't trust Adakota,
- 21:51Speaker 2: considering there's been rumors that he's cheated on Taylor. Dakota
- 21:54Speaker 2: decides this is the perfect opportunity to get some free
- 21:56Speaker 2: professional photographs of him and Taylor. He takes off a
- 21:59Speaker 2: sh shirt and this all goes on. But then we're
- 22:04Speaker 2: done with this awkward exchange and it's time for Laylist
- 22:07Speaker 2: divorce party. Yes, would you like to go into the theme?
- 22:13Speaker 2: What is oh?
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's funeral themed, which I actually found amusing.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And isn't she the only one dressed in that theme? Well?
- 22:22Speaker 1: I don't even know what what is fud? All black
- 22:25Speaker 1: funeral themes? So everyone shows up and all black to celebrate.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Taylor isn't able to come because she isn't allowed in
- 22:31Speaker 1: a bar following her arrest.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I think that's perfectly love it, But why is.
- 22:36Speaker 1: A funeral theme at a bar? I would have been okay,
- 22:42Speaker 1: look if that was my theme, I'm all about themes
- 22:44Speaker 1: for parties. If that was my theme, I would have
- 22:46Speaker 1: that party at a funeral.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Funeral home absolutely, or at a cemetery.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Right, Like, if you're going to have a theme, go hard.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah, don't just half asset and be the only one
- 22:56Speaker 2: in like a black veil.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:59Speaker 2: But Whitney and Connor show up and everyone is shock
- 23:02Speaker 2: to see her. Connor looks like he may have thought
- 23:06Speaker 2: this was a gangster party.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Is this a new hairdoo for Connie Connor? This is
- 23:10Speaker 1: different Connie.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Now we're just constant Constance.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Is this Constance's new hairdoo?
- 23:17Speaker 2: Well? He tries to open a bottle of sparkling apple
- 23:19Speaker 2: cider and he's extremely unsuccessful, which I was like, that's sexy.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Then Layla makes her grand entrance wearing a lace dress
- 23:28Speaker 2: and a black veil. Jordan, Jesse's husband, brings his friend
- 23:31Speaker 2: over to Layla because he'd like to ask her out.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Then Whitney pulls Jesse aside. She wants to talk to
- 23:36Speaker 2: Jesse about the comment she made on the girls trip.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Jesse's heard from everyone in the group that Whitney used
- 23:43Speaker 2: them in one way or another.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I mean, aren't they all using each other? Like, let's
- 23:47Speaker 1: be honest.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Using each other. And then Jesse points out that Whitney's
- 23:50Speaker 2: having issues with everyone in the group. But Whitney immediately
- 23:54Speaker 2: denies this and gets defensive.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's her go to, that's her go to. That's
- 23:59Speaker 1: just like immediately defense mode, and it's never her fault,
- 24:03Speaker 1: zero accountability.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I need to talk to Whitney. I need to, like,
- 24:07Speaker 2: I need to see if it feels different when you're
- 24:10Speaker 2: actually communicating with her.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You mean, like okay, like, for example, the way we
- 24:15Speaker 1: felt about Janet when we were recapping the valley, but
- 24:19Speaker 1: then I met her at her and I was like, oh,
- 24:21Speaker 1: she's lovely, Yeah, like a lovely person.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You're like, actually, Janet's moving into my house, my Casio.
- 24:29Speaker 1: That's fine, She's great.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Then Whitney's drama with Demi started when Whitney told Jen
- 24:34Speaker 2: and dem about her being too Mormon?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Is that really an insult? I feel like that's like
- 24:40Speaker 1: if someone's like, you're too pretty.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You know what I mean? You are too rich?
- 24:47Speaker 1: You are too rich, and oh my god, I'm so offended, And.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Especially in a group of people that are doing cutamine bachelism,
- 24:57Speaker 2: uh laughing gas, Like, is being too Mormon? The worst
- 25:02Speaker 2: thing is that?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Like is that derogatory? Someone says you're too Mormon. I mean,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I don't really get that.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Maybe they meant like too Judgie. I don't know. But
- 25:14Speaker 2: then Jesse adds another thing people say about Whitney. She's
- 25:17Speaker 2: very quick to tell everyone what others have said behind
- 25:20Speaker 2: their back. Whitney's pissed that no one reached out to her.
- 25:23Speaker 2: We know, Whitney, and you shouldn't have left the chat.
- 25:26Speaker 2: You should have had individual conversations where you talk to
- 25:29Speaker 2: people about what you're upset about. Jesse tells her it
- 25:32Speaker 2: was passive aggressive for her to leave the chat and
- 25:34Speaker 2: ask if she wants if it was meant to be
- 25:37Speaker 2: a test.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Whitney look at her starting to cry when she learns
- 25:40Speaker 1: that every single girl besides Macey has said something about
- 25:44Speaker 1: her back. Is she really she's really that surprised?
- 25:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, but also Macy has two I think.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure she has. At some point. She does
- 25:55Speaker 1: defend her a lot, which kind of surprises me about Macy.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And this is one of those things that you know,
- 26:00Speaker 1: we did that interview with Macy, but we did it
- 26:02Speaker 1: before we watched the episodes. I wish that we could
- 26:05Speaker 1: have Macy back, because now I.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Know can questions can we have Macy back, but I
- 26:10Speaker 2: feel like, have you did you see Inside Out?
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 26:14Speaker 2: The new one, no, even the first one, but you
- 26:17Speaker 2: know how like everybody's in emotion. Yes, I feel like
- 26:20Speaker 2: Whitney is human form of like a sigh, like she's like.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what would she get?
- 26:26Speaker 2: Say?
- 26:29Speaker 1: The crazy anxiety one was like the yeah, like.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Er, yeah, definitely, what would you be?
- 26:35Speaker 1: I don't know. Is there a mean and aggressive one?
- 26:39Speaker 1: Just the red face like yeah?
- 26:42Speaker 2: But then Taylor invited Macey over so she and Dakota
- 26:45Speaker 2: can have a talk. Macy tells him that over time,
- 26:48Speaker 2: she's witnessed behavior from him that is similar to her
- 26:50Speaker 2: abusive ex boyfriend. Taylor starts to tell Dakota how she
- 26:54Speaker 2: feels and begins sobbing. She's not ready for marriage and
- 26:58Speaker 2: the lies he was telling her in the beginning of
- 26:59Speaker 2: the relationships. He'll scare her. He hooked up with someone
- 27:02Speaker 2: when he and Taylor were sleeping together but not dating yet.
- 27:05Speaker 2: He made her feel like she wasn't good enough. Dakota
- 27:09Speaker 2: feels like she's self sabotaging and isn't in the relationship.
- 27:14Speaker 2: And then meanwhile, Macy's sitting there witnessing the two of
- 27:17Speaker 2: them argue Macy's like, get me out of here. Taylor
- 27:21Speaker 2: tells Macy that Dakota was effing someone the day before
- 27:24Speaker 2: he met her, and then he efed her all week,
- 27:27Speaker 2: and then he eft someone else the day after, and.
- 27:30Speaker 1: This is the this is the man that she wants
- 27:32Speaker 1: to have a child with. This is where I get confused.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But also like, at.
- 27:37Speaker 2: What point was Macy like, can I leave this group chat?
- 27:40Speaker 1: Yes, there's too many as going on.
- 27:43Speaker 2: I'm all out, I'm affed out, and I want to go.
- 27:47Speaker 2: But that's how we end episode five. So you guys,
- 27:50Speaker 2: make sure that you keep listening and tune in for
- 27:53Speaker 2: our recap for episode six.
