- 0:26Speaker 1: Charlie Gasparino, How you doing good?
- 0:29Speaker 2: What's happening? Mark?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I don't know? You tell me? Uh that Go Woke,
- 0:33Speaker 1: Go Broke is a great book. Do we need to
- 0:35Speaker 1: send a copy to everybody in New York and remind
- 0:38Speaker 1: them of what could happen with Mom?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Donnie? Oh? I mean this is I mean Mondanni unfortunately
- 0:45Speaker 2: is beyond woke. I mean, this is pretty much hardline socialism, communism.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I don't you know, it sounds like it sounds like
- 0:54Speaker 2: overly uh you know, I'm I'm being like sort of
- 0:57Speaker 2: too much here when I call him a communist? What
- 1:00Speaker 2: I mean? Am I really? I mean? Am I am
- 1:02Speaker 2: I over? Am I gagerating this? What he's trying to
- 1:05Speaker 2: do here? What he says? How we how we promote
- 1:09Speaker 2: certain things is idiocy. With net Yahoo, he wants to
- 1:13Speaker 2: rest them. I mean, is this like this, this guy's
- 1:16Speaker 2: missed the third world is wrapped up in a smile
- 1:20Speaker 2: and it's it's actually quite scary.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But all the great business leaders of New York, you know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: all these guys, what is their strategy? Just wait them
- 1:27Speaker 1: out or just remember.
- 1:30Speaker 2: They're so rich and they're so diversified. You know, it
- 1:33Speaker 2: doesn't you know, what he does almost doesn't matter to
- 1:36Speaker 2: these guys, right, I mean when it comes to just
- 1:39Speaker 2: from a personal standpoint, they all have tons of security.
- 1:43Speaker 2: They don't rely on the cops that much. They have
- 1:45Speaker 2: homes in Florida, you know they they or wherever you know,
- 1:50Speaker 2: you know, Jackson Hole, you know they're there. So it
- 1:54Speaker 2: doesn't really matter. Their their companies have diversified a lot
- 1:59Speaker 2: out of New Yorker, so some of this is not
- 2:03Speaker 2: really they're they're sort of shielded from some of this. Obviously,
- 2:07Speaker 2: they have big presence here in New York. Still it
- 2:09Speaker 2: still is what it is. But you know, so they
- 2:14Speaker 2: look at this as playing a long game. I think
- 2:17Speaker 2: one of the problems they have is that they've been
- 2:19Speaker 2: playing the long game now for a long time. And
- 2:22Speaker 2: what they haven't realized is that the Democratic Socialists, the
- 2:25Speaker 2: communists have actually taken over government in many ways. You know,
- 2:28Speaker 2: they're all in Albany, you know, they control they control
- 2:32Speaker 2: the state legislature more more or less. They basically tell
- 2:35Speaker 2: Governor Hope, who's supposed to be a moderate, what to do,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and she does it. And now they have a perch
- 2:40Speaker 2: in New York City and it's you know, in the
- 2:43Speaker 2: mayor in Gracie mansion, and it's pretty scary. And I
- 2:49Speaker 2: don't know what to do because I don't think there's
- 2:53Speaker 2: a solution other than leaving, could be honest with you,
- 2:55Speaker 2: I just don't think when you import as many people
- 2:58Speaker 2: as we imported in this country, and that critically stated
- 3:02Speaker 2: that domicile here in New York from the Third World,
- 3:05Speaker 2: you know, socialism and communism is kind of you know,
- 3:09Speaker 2: what the what they're used to, and of course they
- 3:11Speaker 2: want benefits. And those people are start you know, are
- 3:14Speaker 2: now voting their citizens, and so they've changed the political
- 3:19Speaker 2: dynamic here. I mean, we have a lot of Third
- 3:21Speaker 2: World people in this city and that is the that
- 3:25Speaker 2: is and this is what they what they want. And
- 3:28Speaker 2: Mondami is preaching to them. If you combine them with
- 3:31Speaker 2: these uh you know white lefties that that come from
- 3:34Speaker 2: all over the country, it's the same, it's the same thing.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't talk about leaving. That's uh, I mean,
- 3:40Speaker 1: that's gonna make the whole thing worse that that's what happens.
- 3:43Speaker 1: If people leave, you got to stay and fight it.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Well, you know, listen, I've read some sue you don't
- 3:52Speaker 2: stay and fight when you're when you have you know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: astronomical odds against you, you cut and run and fight
- 3:58Speaker 2: for another day. The best way to fight this, I
- 4:00Speaker 2: think is to leave. I don't think it is to stay,
- 4:03Speaker 2: because I just think it's not that you're you're just again,
- 4:07Speaker 2: you're just you know, pushing against it an unmovable object
- 4:10Speaker 2: right now, which is an electorate that is so far
- 4:13Speaker 2: to the left that you know, we can sit here
- 4:16Speaker 2: and complain about it. And and by the way, it's
- 4:18Speaker 2: good for your ratings. You know, this is you know,
- 4:21Speaker 2: yo and Fox and and TV is often a niche
- 4:24Speaker 2: business that you want to you know, you want to
- 4:26Speaker 2: attract certain people, but you know, just the trend is
- 4:30Speaker 2: not your friend here. So I'm very typtomistic here and
- 4:36Speaker 2: on top of it all, you know, you do have
- 4:38Speaker 2: a propaganda machine at work here in most of the media,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I mean, Mondmi is proposing some of the real dumbest
- 4:45Speaker 2: stuff in the world, except in the New York Post,
- 4:47Speaker 2: my newspaper. What who's covering one?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the problem.
- 4:53Speaker 2: What is the Times doing? I mean, what is the
- 4:55Speaker 2: Times is kind of cheering them on? But you get
- 4:58Speaker 2: you did you read that softball interview? Yeah, I mean
- 5:04Speaker 2: it was the dumbest thing in the world. He couldn't
- 5:05Speaker 2: define middle working class. She barely pressed him on it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: He couldn't. He said he was going to arrest that. Yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 2: when he when it was a diplomatic immunity. I mean
- 5:14Speaker 2: even I know that, and I'm just in order and
- 5:18Speaker 2: just and then he then he talks about capital flight.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I found that very interesting. There hasn't been capital flight yet. Well,
- 5:24Speaker 2: if he knows anything about capital flight, it's like bankruptcy, right,
- 5:27Speaker 2: it happens gradually, then all of a sudden, and you know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: there is there is there are warning signs for capital
- 5:34Speaker 2: flight right now. Obviously capital is leaving. People are leaving.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Now you're going to rich it at some point it
- 5:40Speaker 2: gets so bad where there's a tipping point where you
- 5:42Speaker 2: can't pay your bills, and that could happen. You see
- 5:44Speaker 2: it in UNI bond prices. By what muni bond prices
- 5:47Speaker 2: of New York City UNI bonds should be going up
- 5:50Speaker 2: if there was a normal guy raising taxes and doing whatever,
- 5:53Speaker 2: you know, keeping New York City government big as it's been.
- 5:56Speaker 2: You know, there has been a socialist government. You know,
- 5:58Speaker 2: even when Rudy was running things, it wasn't exactly free
- 6:01Speaker 2: market capitalism, you know, but you should be. People should
- 6:06Speaker 2: be flocking to New York City bonds because they're triple
- 6:08Speaker 2: tax free. Right, We're not getting that. I'm looking at it.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Week by week. We're starting to get spikes and yields,
- 6:14Speaker 2: which means the prices are going down. That means less
- 6:16Speaker 2: people are buying these things. And that I listen, I
- 6:20Speaker 2: checked this week to week. Then you know, it's the
- 6:23Speaker 2: long term you got to look at. But you know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: since he's been off in office, bond prices, bond yields
- 6:28Speaker 2: have been up. They stabilized a little bit when he
- 6:30Speaker 2: bounced the budget, even if it was a you know,
- 6:32Speaker 2: crappy balance it with state aid and some gimmick with
- 6:36Speaker 2: the pension fund, but you know it's stabilized and now
- 6:40Speaker 2: it's back to you know, you see rising yields, lower prices.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Rising yields means people are demanding more return for their bonds.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That means the price is going down because they're worried
- 6:52Speaker 2: about you know, what this guy is doing. And again
- 6:55Speaker 2: it should be going up because he's raising taxes, but
- 6:58Speaker 2: they're worried about the other side. You know, what type
- 7:00Speaker 2: of governments is he doing? It will ultimately be able
- 7:04Speaker 2: to afford it? Is it worth lending the city money
- 7:06Speaker 2: for ten years? That's kind of the calculation that people
- 7:10Speaker 2: are doing because the trend in New York City politically
- 7:13Speaker 2: isn't just not good.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know, all who is.
- 7:18Speaker 2: The loyal Republican opposition to Mondamie right now?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Well, the best thing on the horizon Bruce Blakeman, who's
- 7:25Speaker 1: got a chance to be elected governor. Wouldn't that be
- 7:27Speaker 1: a turning point?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah? He would be great. He would be great. But
- 7:30Speaker 2: I you know, I was talking to Governor DeSantis about
- 7:34Speaker 2: this and we both agree, Bruce Brake Blakeman's a really
- 7:36Speaker 2: smart guy, and he's level headed. You know, he's clearly
- 7:39Speaker 2: not a far right winger or anything like that. He's
- 7:42Speaker 2: a typical conservative New York conservative and with DeSantis told me,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and it kind of brings true is a lot of
- 7:51Speaker 2: tax payer players. The payers have left and they're moving
- 7:54Speaker 2: to Florida, Carolina, And so his base he's been eroded
- 8:01Speaker 2: because of this nonsense. So I just he has an
- 8:03Speaker 2: uphill battle. Listen, I hope he wins. You know, I'm
- 8:07Speaker 2: praying for him to win. I know Bruce a little bit.
- 8:10Speaker 2: He's a smart guy. He'd be a great governor. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: and he'd be he'd be the loyal opposition to Mondomni.
- 8:16Speaker 2: But like on a city level, though, who do we
- 8:19Speaker 2: have we have nobody?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, you're speaking that. We're talking Charlie Gasprino's speaking
- 8:25Speaker 1: to Desantus. He's term limited out. Now what is his
- 8:27Speaker 1: next move? Where do you think he goes?
- 8:30Speaker 2: You know I did ask him that I interviewed him
- 8:32Speaker 2: at the Milken Conference back in May. Uh, you know,
- 8:38Speaker 2: everything's up in the air, you know, he you know,
- 8:41Speaker 2: he didn't rule out a presidential run. By the way,
- 8:45Speaker 2: the guy is such a great operational governor, right, he
- 8:50Speaker 2: knows how to run. You could see him being on
- 8:53Speaker 2: any board of any major company would watch this guy.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I mean, he can make a few bucks. He's in
- 8:58Speaker 2: government most of his life, most of his professional ef
- 9:01Speaker 2: I should say, but you know there's always rumors about
- 9:05Speaker 2: him being on the Supreme.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Court Supreme before.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Really so the guy. The guy's really smart. I mean
- 9:14Speaker 2: fit down with five minutes.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I mean he.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Question before even I mean, he just knows stuff. He's
- 9:21Speaker 2: really sharp. He's yeah, Supreme Court might not be for
- 9:24Speaker 2: him because you know, you can see his eyes. He's
- 9:26Speaker 2: incredibly ambitious. I mean I just saw a personness to
- 9:30Speaker 2: this guy. This guy is really ambitious. But you know,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I think everything's kind of on the table, including running
- 9:37Speaker 2: for president again. I you know, he didn't. The problem
- 9:41Speaker 2: with him is that you know, you know, he doesn't
- 9:44Speaker 2: get this stick. Although he's dead better at you know,
- 9:48Speaker 2: in Trump, So it's not easy. And this was his
- 9:52Speaker 2: first time before then in the national spotlight. But he
- 9:55Speaker 2: would make a great president, and just he knows how
- 9:59Speaker 2: to run things, and he's really smart. You know, I
- 10:03Speaker 2: think it's all on the table. And you know, the
- 10:05Speaker 2: world's is oyster. He's what forty five something was forty
- 10:09Speaker 2: isn't he?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah? So and what happens to Florida. You need a
- 10:16Speaker 1: good governor to continue the success they've had down there.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Well, I think they have. They have a good bench there.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I mean, you know, one of the interesting things that
- 10:25Speaker 2: all these Southerners complain about is that when Republicans, when
- 10:30Speaker 2: Northerners moved to the South, they turned the state more liberal. Yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 2: the opposite. Well, clearly in Florida, just the opposite happened, right,
- 10:40Speaker 2: It became more conservative when New Yorkers ran moved down there,
- 10:44Speaker 2: because these were the conservative New Yorkers that went down there.
- 10:47Speaker 2: So I think they do have a good bench and
- 10:50Speaker 2: they you know, Byron Donald is a smart guy. I
- 10:53Speaker 2: know him. I think he's running for governor. Yeah, I
- 10:56Speaker 2: don't know who who de Fantis is endorsed, you'd be honest,
- 11:00Speaker 2: but you haven't paid attention to it. But I know
- 11:03Speaker 2: Byron's a smart guy. He's a conservative, He's no wimp.
- 11:07Speaker 2: You know. I think he'd filled this anteis shoes just fine.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I think, all right, Well, Charlie Gasparino great stuff, has
- 11:15Speaker 1: always and hey, everybody get his book, Go Woke.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Go Broke.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite books. Go Woke, Go Broke.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Read his column, you'd be on these on Fox Business
- 11:24Speaker 1: Network all the time. Does great work there. And Charlie,
- 11:28Speaker 1: make sure you fall on Twitter. He's a great tweeter.
