- 1:14Speaker 3: We're getting Noah's arch type rain today.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah we needed you know, yeah at what point? Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 4: I was gonna say, at what point do we need it?
- 1:21Speaker 4: I just like, it's it's just bad to not appear
- 1:24Speaker 4: to like on the same page.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Like who are these?
- 1:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:29Speaker 3: It's just it's just not good. It's not good to
- 1:32Speaker 3: have this.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Type of ruins to one. It's not been good. It's
- 1:36Speaker 4: not good right now, not good too.
- 1:38Speaker 3: If Fred wants Paul to have different clothes, shouldn't he
- 1:41Speaker 3: friding a clothing allowance to his employees?
- 1:45Speaker 4: Just a salary of anything.
- 1:46Speaker 5: I mean.
- 1:46Speaker 6: The hardest I've ever left on this show was Fred's
- 1:49Speaker 6: line about the side of the highway like little memorial.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Fred's like, you should do you should memorialize that where
- 1:56Speaker 4: you took that dumb Absolutely, he tasked us with going
- 2:00Speaker 4: to the dictionary. So I've done it. Our adjective right,
- 2:05Speaker 4: I'm going to play the pronunciation. Okay, you're ready hour.
- 2:10Speaker 3: That's wrong. You're relying on a dumb ai.
- 2:16Speaker 4: That makes me the happiest ever because as the resident
- 2:20Speaker 4: most stubborn person on the planet on the show, Fred
- 2:23Speaker 4: just says, I don't care.
- 2:24Speaker 3: It looked I'm not wrong.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Didn't you proved me wrong? I don't care. I'm still right.
- 2:29Speaker 3: I'm right. This is Patriots Unfiltered.

- 2:38Speaker 3: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 2:43Speaker 3: at Jillette Stadium, getting ready for the Arizona Cardinals. It's
- 2:47Speaker 3: gonna be nice out there, about sixty nine to seventy
- 2:49Speaker 3: degrees for the game, so I'm sure the players are
- 2:51Speaker 3: looking forward to that for that reason, but I hope
- 2:54Speaker 3: they're also looking forward to starting This used to be
- 2:58Speaker 3: the three quarter pole portion of the season four games left.
- 3:03Speaker 3: But now I don't know what it is. It's like
- 3:07Speaker 3: three point eight nine quarter pole or I don't know
- 3:10Speaker 3: what it's called. But anyway, there's four games left in
- 3:12Speaker 3: the season, and let's hope that the Patriots look forward
- 3:15Speaker 3: to that as an opportunity to finish out the season strong.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Alex, it's actually the three quarter pole because there's only
- 3:23Speaker 4: a quarter left. You've done three quarters.
- 3:25Speaker 3: We we that was an episode, you know, years ago
- 3:28Speaker 3: where we figured that often learns often media office says,
- 3:32Speaker 3: when there's four games, they're at the quarter pole.
- 3:34Speaker 4: At the quarter pole, played a quarter of the season, right,
- 3:38Speaker 4: there's still three quarters of the season.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Left, right, right, so they're at the like.
- 3:43Speaker 4: In horse racing parlance, it's the three quarter pole, right,
- 3:47Speaker 4: then the halfway mark, then the quarter pole, and then
- 3:51Speaker 4: the finish.
- 3:52Speaker 7: Great, when I'm at the Kentucky Derby when.
- 3:55Speaker 4: You're sipping on a mint ju yeah, some jargon. It
- 3:58Speaker 4: strike me as a Kentucky Derby type.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Get dressed up.
- 4:03Speaker 7: I would love that part of it. Ornamental of it, yes,
- 4:07Speaker 7: for sure.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Don't Alex. Like with with tom and and like a
- 4:11Speaker 4: mondola and.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Jewels them hell, yes, general admission.
- 4:15Speaker 4: No no, no, general mission no no, no. Our Alex
- 4:20Speaker 4: does not do general admission.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Yeah, you're with the vi p S, right, I would
- 4:24Speaker 7: hope so, because I.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Don't know, they're writing a story for the lifestyle page.
- 4:28Speaker 7: I think I'm too soft for horse racing, Like it
- 4:30Speaker 7: makes me shot. Have to put them down, they break
- 4:34Speaker 7: a leg.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Like these things happen.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you know that's but otherwise they have a pretty
- 4:41Speaker 3: good life. Yeah, afterwards they get put out the study.
- 4:45Speaker 8: It's you're a good one, right, Otherwise you just go
- 4:49Speaker 8: up for adoption and hopefully you end up somewhere.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Living's just gotta get through a few races without breaking
- 4:54Speaker 4: a leg. Yeah, anyway, No, it's it is brutal. I
- 4:58Speaker 4: agree with you. Imagine if like you tore an a
- 5:01Speaker 4: c L, well, we're gonna have to put you down.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Right like a broken leg. They're done, So I don't know.
- 5:07Speaker 3: It's sad anyway.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Wow, it didn't take us, It didn't take us long.
- 5:11Speaker 3: That's my fall obviously. Besides getting ready for the Arizona Cardinals.
- 5:17Speaker 3: The big news that broke yesterday, Bill Belichick is officially
- 5:21Speaker 3: going to be the head coach of the UH University
- 5:26Speaker 3: of North Carolina line of target.
- 5:28Speaker 4: You having a hard time speaking to that the u
- 5:30Speaker 4: n C car heels right, mm hmm. So what what
- 5:34Speaker 4: did chefter say? Chapel Bill?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Why everybody? It was a basketball school. But Bill is
- 5:42Speaker 3: going to turn it into a football school if he
- 5:44Speaker 3: has his way. We'll see he's bringing the putting the
- 5:48Speaker 3: gang back together. Mike Lombardi, your guy Paul is going
- 5:53Speaker 3: to be the GM big move.
- 5:57Speaker 4: You know what. He really got it on Merit too.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but you know, can you imagine, like you.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Know this guy, as Felder says, this guy.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Paul, it's your living room, and you know, hey, you
- 6:08Speaker 3: know North Carolina, we're really interested in TJ. You know,
- 6:11Speaker 3: we're going to be sending out, We're gonna we're gonna
- 6:13Speaker 3: be sending our top guy down there. You open the
- 6:16Speaker 3: door and it's Micha Lombardi and he comes in, and.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean Bill, I mean I would be obviously
- 6:22Speaker 4: be thrilled frohim to play for Bill, right, but yeah,
- 6:26Speaker 4: he's Lombardi's gonna persuade him to do that. He's the
- 6:29Speaker 4: one right in the checks one. No, no, no, he's
- 6:32Speaker 4: not going to be recruiting Bill but Lombardi might.
- 6:35Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying.
- 6:35Speaker 3: You think Lombardo, well BARTI is.
- 6:37Speaker 7: I feel like I don't know.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I shouldn't speak definitively. My guess is that Lombardi is
- 6:42Speaker 4: going to be like a handle, like a money guy.
- 6:45Speaker 4: He's not gonna be recruiting. I think he's got a
- 6:47Speaker 4: according to his manifesto, he's gonna have a whole separate staff.
- 6:50Speaker 3: But that Lombardi will oversee.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Yeah, like Nancy Meyer overseas, like you need to go
- 6:56Speaker 4: to Mississippi to look at this quarterback, you need to
- 7:01Speaker 4: go to Texas to look at that running back.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, absolutely, no date Lombardi.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Is going to the houses to recruit.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I think when it maybe you know, when it comes
- 7:08Speaker 3: down to the last one and you know you have
- 7:11Speaker 3: the dolls out, the money, you have the big recruit,
- 7:14Speaker 3: maybe you know you send the top Gun's not going
- 7:17Speaker 3: to be him to do the final you know, to
- 7:19Speaker 3: do the final push.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd be stunned if it was him.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I wouldn't. I wouldn't.
- 7:26Speaker 4: It's going to be football. Football guys, do that not
- 7:29Speaker 4: administrat get the.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Guy who can sell the best to be the last guy,
- 7:33Speaker 3: the final push the guy that can sell it, the closer.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I don't know how party is the closer.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I don't know how Nick Saban did it all those
- 7:41Speaker 4: years without Mike Lombardi closing for him.
- 7:45Speaker 3: He also had Alabama. He also had Alabama. Yeah, so
- 7:50Speaker 3: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 7:51Speaker 4: He's not going for the for the biggest He's not
- 7:53Speaker 4: going to Northeastern.
- 7:54Speaker 3: For the biggest fish. I could see the closer being Lombardi.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I think I don't think there's any chance that he
- 8:01Speaker 4: has anything to do with recruiting Lombardi other than giving
- 8:04Speaker 4: the guy the check that Bill tells him to give
- 8:05Speaker 4: a check to. Hey, Mike, that guy's worth a million dollars,
- 8:09Speaker 4: make sure we have a million in the nil for him.
- 8:11Speaker 4: That guy's worth two million, Mike, make sure he gets paid.
- 8:13Speaker 4: That's what Lombardi's role is going to be.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I think that recruiting and the closer anyway, I'm.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Just trying to pick a fight, and I don't appreciate it.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I heard, why are you so against that? You think
- 8:25Speaker 3: it's below Michae Lombardi to I.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Think it's way above him. It's the opposite. He's not
- 8:31Speaker 4: qualified for that.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And then uh, I heard. I don't know if this
- 8:36Speaker 3: is an AFICI. I heard Jack Easterby, who used to
- 8:39Speaker 3: be with the Patriots, will be joining the staff. We
- 8:42Speaker 3: heard Steve Belichick and now they won't make that official.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Hearing these things, by the way, I'm.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Just I'm hearing things. Don't you think he hit things?
- 8:50Speaker 3: Washington's not in the playoffs right the University of Washington,
- 8:53Speaker 3: so his season's over.
- 8:55Speaker 4: He has a bowl game, I'm sure.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think once the bowl game's over, probably.
- 8:58Speaker 4: That since everybody makes a bowl game, so that'll probably be.
- 9:02Speaker 3: He made a bowl game after that. Brian Belichick, you know,
- 9:07Speaker 3: had availability today and you know he didn't want to
- 9:11Speaker 3: talk about, you know, his future. Still four games left
- 9:14Speaker 3: in the Patriots season, so that's what he's focused on.
- 9:19Speaker 3: So you know, he was.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Really good though. I mean, obviously they do the assistant
- 9:23Speaker 4: coaches in small little rooms, and he filled that. His
- 9:26Speaker 4: was over you overcrowded for obvious reasons. I thought he
- 9:30Speaker 4: did a good job. It wasn't and I don't think
- 9:32Speaker 4: that was an easy, you know, ten minutes for him.
- 9:36Speaker 4: He talked a lot about his dad and his passion
- 9:38Speaker 4: for coaching, and you know, he's happy that he's getting
- 9:41Speaker 4: a chance to do it. I think he said at
- 9:43Speaker 4: one point, you know, if he wasn't coaching football, he
- 9:45Speaker 4: probably coached across or teaching something. I thought he did
- 9:49Speaker 4: a good job of just sort of understanding that the
- 9:52Speaker 4: questions were coming. It was no confrontational nature at all.
- 9:56Speaker 4: He started off with a good sort of dead pan,
- 9:59Speaker 4: like he walked in, sees everybody. He's like, hey, yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 4: so yeah, it's a big week this week. You know,
- 10:04Speaker 4: Kyler Murray, he's a problem. You know, we got to
- 10:06Speaker 4: get back on track out in Arizona. You know, we're
- 10:08Speaker 4: getting ready to go, you know, and obviously knowing and
- 10:11Speaker 4: then he kind of gave that dead pan smile that
- 10:14Speaker 4: I'm telling you fitting image of his dad. When he
- 10:18Speaker 4: gave the smile, it just had the little smirk, you know,
- 10:22Speaker 4: and one that I've seen Bill do many times when
- 10:25Speaker 4: he thinks he's given us a funny yeah, you know.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And I thought he did a good job. He was
- 10:31Speaker 4: asked directly if he would be joining his dad, if
- 10:34Speaker 4: he had any conversations about doing that, and he did
- 10:37Speaker 4: not decide to.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I think the percentage of the pages say hey, we
- 10:39Speaker 3: want you to stay. Well, we're going to make you
- 10:42Speaker 3: an offer.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I really don't have any idea.
- 10:45Speaker 3: So I mean the under contract, Well, that's that's I
- 10:49Speaker 3: think from what I heard, this was the last year.
- 10:52Speaker 4: He had one more year, Okay, so they'd have to
- 10:53Speaker 4: re up him. Yeah, then my guess is he's gone.
- 10:57Speaker 3: But you know, that's the thing. That's the disadvantage we
- 11:00Speaker 3: all have. When you talk about the court, we have
- 11:03Speaker 3: no idea. If we have no le coach. We know,
- 11:06Speaker 3: we know that what we see in the field, and
- 11:08Speaker 3: we can say, oh, they're not playing, well, that must
- 11:10Speaker 3: be the coaching. But you don't know that. So I
- 11:12Speaker 3: don't know when it comes to these position coaches, who's
- 11:16Speaker 3: good and who's not.
- 11:17Speaker 4: You've been watching the clips, the old clips of Bill
- 11:20Speaker 4: ranting on this topic.
- 11:21Speaker 3: No, yeah, why what did he say?
- 11:23Speaker 4: Like how offensive it was to listen to the media
- 11:26Speaker 4: ask if the offensive line is being coached properly? You know,
- 11:30Speaker 4: stuff like that. Well, I'm no kidding, Bill, Yeah, I mean,
- 11:33Speaker 4: you guys are coaches and we're not. Yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Well, but but at the same and no head coach
- 11:39Speaker 3: is gonna throw coaches under the bus say no, they're
- 11:42Speaker 3: not being coached, right, But they know and they all
- 11:47Speaker 3: get evaluated, just like the players get evaluated, and we'll
- 11:52Speaker 3: see from their actions at the end of the season
- 11:54Speaker 3: what they think of each of the position coaches. But
- 11:57Speaker 3: I have no idea, really.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I totally agree with you, you know, like you
- 12:02Speaker 4: don't know what the I always look at position coaches
- 12:06Speaker 4: as they're more like techniques in you know, the finer
- 12:11Speaker 4: points of their position, like wide receiver coaches. It's it's routes,
- 12:14Speaker 4: like you know, don't don't break off the route a
- 12:17Speaker 4: yard yard and a half early, you know, make sure
- 12:19Speaker 4: you run it this way when you make your fakes,
- 12:22Speaker 4: do it this way, you know, have you know, it's
- 12:24Speaker 4: it's physical, it's it's you know, a technique that you
- 12:27Speaker 4: want to do, you know, for for every position, I
- 12:31Speaker 4: don't know what the techniques are. You know, every finer
- 12:34Speaker 4: point of every position group. That was Bill's strength.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Bill did know.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Bill could teach every single position, no doubt, to an
- 12:42Speaker 4: unbelievable level of details.
- 12:44Speaker 3: On my team, I think I would expect my position
- 12:47Speaker 3: coaches to also be, you know, involved in the focus
- 12:51Speaker 3: of their unit. You know, like when you come to practice,
- 12:55Speaker 3: you know, are the offensive linemen all focused? Are they
- 12:57Speaker 3: always you know, busy or are they always doing something?
- 13:00Speaker 3: Are they making repeat mistakes? And part of that, I
- 13:04Speaker 3: think I want my position coaches to get these guys
- 13:07Speaker 3: in line. That's why, you know, of course, Dante.
- 13:09Speaker 4: I agree. It's such a leg of it.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You know, motive. You know, what's that room, like, what's
- 13:15Speaker 3: the wide receiver room? Like the position coaches in charge
- 13:18Speaker 3: of that room. Are guys involved, are they engaged? Are
- 13:21Speaker 3: they falling asleep? Are they late for meetings? You know,
- 13:25Speaker 3: that's part of the role I think of the position
- 13:27Speaker 3: coach as well. Yeah, and we don't know what what's
- 13:30Speaker 3: really going on behind the scenes, so but we'll find out.
- 13:35Speaker 4: No, I'm with you, and I think a lot of
- 13:37Speaker 4: that too is you know, it's mental. You know, the
- 13:41Speaker 4: physical part about the techniques, the mental part is what
- 13:44Speaker 4: you're talking about keeping guys, you know, like just to
- 13:48Speaker 4: bring it to the Patriots specifically. Okay, So Tyler Hughes
- 13:53Speaker 4: wide receiver coach, you know, part of his job is
- 13:56Speaker 4: keeping guys like Jalen Polk and Javon Baker mentally in it.
- 14:00Speaker 4: You know, they've got to be frustrated kids. They haven't
- 14:03Speaker 4: really had much of a chance to show what they
- 14:05Speaker 4: can do and when they have had it, they haven't
- 14:07Speaker 4: been able to do much. So that's part of a
- 14:10Speaker 4: position coach, good cop, you know, you know, the bad
- 14:13Speaker 4: cop head coach right now isn't given them opportunities or
- 14:17Speaker 4: offensive coordinator. So I got to keep these guys up.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I got to keep keep spirits up, I got to
- 14:21Speaker 4: keep them involved. I got to keep them in the program.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Or the OC says this, so and so had a
- 14:27Speaker 3: bad game. Here's why I go fix it. Yeah, and
- 14:29Speaker 3: now it's my job to go fix that. That's how
- 14:31Speaker 3: I look at position coaches.
- 14:33Speaker 4: And to your point, what you started this whole thing
- 14:35Speaker 4: is how do you know, Like how does me and
- 14:37Speaker 4: how do me and Alex figure out from watching a
- 14:39Speaker 4: game if they're doing a good job of that? Like
- 14:42Speaker 4: are they Is it just the players? Is it the
- 14:45Speaker 4: coaches telling them, well, you stink, you know, because everybody's
- 14:49Speaker 4: been on team with a negative, negative coaching, Yeah, and
- 14:52Speaker 4: they think that's how you motivate, you break them down,
- 14:54Speaker 4: and not everybody deals with that, yep, you know. So
- 14:58Speaker 4: it's hard to tell from the outside if a guy's
- 15:00Speaker 4: doing that well.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Especially because like the ways you would probably tell are
- 15:03Speaker 8: like body language stuff and conversationally between them and you
- 15:07Speaker 8: get to see that once a week on Sundays, but
- 15:09Speaker 8: they are practicing how many times a week?
- 15:11Speaker 7: Like that's the stuff we don't see, like you guys
- 15:13Speaker 7: are saying.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know, bench, you know, bench stuff can
- 15:18Speaker 3: give you some indication. You know, what's the interaction? How
- 15:21Speaker 3: involved are they? You know, when the defense is on
- 15:24Speaker 3: the field, I was involved in the offensive position. Coaches
- 15:27Speaker 3: with their units, what are they saying to them? What
- 15:30Speaker 3: are the players saying back to them? You can you
- 15:33Speaker 3: can get some indication on game day, I think. Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 3: So all right, a lot of emails, a lot of
- 15:40Speaker 3: them having to do with Bill. I'm sure people want
- 15:44Speaker 3: to weigh in on that. A couple of articles came
- 15:46Speaker 3: out today, one from Wickersham, which to me read like
- 15:51Speaker 3: a makeup you know to Bill, because Wickersham has been
- 15:56Speaker 3: the root of a lot of you know, behind the
- 15:58Speaker 3: scenes bad stuff. But I thought this one was you know,
- 16:02Speaker 3: the way I read it is, you know, Bill was like,
- 16:05Speaker 3: f you NFL. You know, yeah, I just want to
- 16:09Speaker 3: coach and if you're if you're not interested to find that,
- 16:11Speaker 3: f you.
- 16:11Speaker 4: And also if you can't fire me, I quit.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Exactly because with me, I break up with you.
- 16:19Speaker 4: You clearly had no interest in them, and that's why
- 16:21Speaker 4: you took this job.
- 16:22Speaker 3: But Jeff Howe had an article and Athletic, which is
- 16:26Speaker 3: more that vein of there just wasn't anyone interested, you know.
- 16:31Speaker 4: So Yeah, and that would be my guest because I
- 16:33Speaker 4: can't imagine Bill didn't want to return to the NFL. Right.
- 16:36Speaker 4: He must have been reading the tea leaves and felt
- 16:39Speaker 4: like that there's not a lot of people reaching out.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I don't. I don't know if I have a landing spot.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 8: And also the way that it's played out for him
- 16:46Speaker 8: the last year, like he's been a punching bag for
- 16:50Speaker 8: the meat.
- 16:50Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 16:50Speaker 8: I could see him at first being like, Okay, I'm
- 16:53Speaker 8: going to get back to the NFL, but then gradually
- 16:56Speaker 8: as it's all playing out and he's just getting bad
- 16:58Speaker 8: mouth by the whole league, there's stuff about him being
- 17:01Speaker 8: like blackballed by owners, like maybe he was just that
- 17:04Speaker 8: disenfranchised that he Oh.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I think that's a good point. I do think there's
- 17:09Speaker 4: some validity to that. That part of did you read
- 17:11Speaker 4: the Wickersham I did.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I didn't read how that part of.
- 17:14Speaker 4: The Wickersham piece I actually agree with that. He probably
- 17:17Speaker 4: if he gets together with these zoom calls with you,
- 17:20Speaker 4: with Patricia and McDaniels, and they probably looking at like,
- 17:23Speaker 4: do you believe the direction that this league is going?
- 17:25Speaker 4: I believe that a thousand percent.
- 17:27Speaker 3: House had an NFL executive saying that Bill burned a
- 17:31Speaker 3: lot of bridges and that might have been a contributing factory,
- 17:36Speaker 3: you know.
- 17:36Speaker 7: Which goes back to just like politics. Yeah, it's hard.
- 17:40Speaker 8: It's hard to like, you have all these guys with
- 17:42Speaker 8: all this money and all this ego, when you get
- 17:45Speaker 8: to that level of owners and executives and someone rubs
- 17:48Speaker 8: you the wrong way, like you're not used to having
- 17:50Speaker 8: to deal with personalities you don't want to, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 8: like you can just get a yes man in and it's.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Really easy to do that. So it's really easy to
- 17:59Speaker 7: see how that would happen.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's and I think there was a lot
- 18:02Speaker 3: of fear from a lot of owners about do I
- 18:06Speaker 3: really want to make that much of a drastic overhaul?
- 18:10Speaker 3: You know, I need to buy a house, but do
- 18:12Speaker 3: I need a castle? Because that's a lot more work
- 18:16Speaker 3: than just a house. And if you buy, if you
- 18:19Speaker 3: get Bill, yeah, he is going to want to do
- 18:22Speaker 3: it his way. Why would you not want to do
- 18:24Speaker 3: it your way.
- 18:25Speaker 8: That's why the Wickersham article was interesting to me because
- 18:27Speaker 8: he had a point that was like according to sources,
- 18:31Speaker 8: which I mean, you can take that with a grain
- 18:34Speaker 8: of salt. But Bill was like kind of walking it
- 18:37Speaker 8: back to teams like saying, hey, I don't need control, like,
- 18:40Speaker 8: I'll do it how you want it, I'll work with you.
- 18:42Speaker 7: Well he was saying that, but of course, exactly, it's all.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Once he gets in the building, he's not gonna suffer fools,
- 18:48Speaker 3: as we've said.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Well, yeah, it's all he said, she said, right now.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but I do think to you a point, Alex,
- 18:54Speaker 4: that Wickersham did a good job of presenting that. You know,
- 18:56Speaker 4: he had like two or three sentences explaining how Bill
- 18:59Speaker 4: has said to these teams that he doesn't need all
- 19:02Speaker 4: of that, and then he said, but I think it's
- 19:06Speaker 4: pretty apparent that the league didn't believe him, Yeah, that
- 19:09Speaker 4: he didn't need all that. To Fred's point, like he
- 19:12Speaker 4: needs he needs more than just a monicum of control,
- 19:15Speaker 4: I feel, and I think that's why.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, he could say that once he gets
- 19:19Speaker 3: in the door, he probably feels confident enough in himself that, Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna make the case and they're going to have
- 19:26Speaker 3: to do what I say because I'm smarter than that.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Does anyone Does anyone really believe.
- 19:33Speaker 8: That in some cases, like some teams, like you might
- 19:35Speaker 8: not want to give up control, but you're probably gonna
- 19:37Speaker 8: be better off if you did it, whether you want
- 19:38Speaker 8: to or not.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Oh, I think there's a good argument to be made
- 19:41Speaker 4: that the one guy, you just have to have the
- 19:43Speaker 4: right guy. But could you know, is it really is
- 19:49Speaker 4: it plausible that he's having zoom meetings with his his
- 19:54Speaker 4: minions and outcast Like the gist of these meetings is
- 19:59Speaker 4: to say how dumb everybody is around the league, which is,
- 20:02Speaker 4: by the way, not which by the way, now that's
- 20:05Speaker 4: my favorite punching bag Lombardy, which is being like it's
- 20:09Speaker 4: being illustrated every media thing by Lombardy himself with all
- 20:13Speaker 4: of these things that he rips every team for doing.
- 20:17Speaker 4: And you think that guy is going to want to
- 20:19Speaker 4: do it without having control. This is a guy who
- 20:22Speaker 4: thinks so little of everything that's going on in the
- 20:23Speaker 4: league that he's having zoom met with Patricia and McDaniels
- 20:27Speaker 4: and Lombardi to rip everybody in the league and tell
- 20:29Speaker 4: everybody how dumb they are. But I'm gonna get get
- 20:32Speaker 4: hired and let Mike do so be my boss. And
- 20:35Speaker 4: what he says ghost.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Didn't didn't doesn't that zoom calls smack more of a
- 20:38Speaker 3: support group.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Called their own Therapy Together Coaches anonymous.
- 20:44Speaker 6: How much time did the Patriots games take up on
- 20:46Speaker 6: those calls? I would imagine not quite a bit.
- 20:48Speaker 4: You see this guy no comment.
- 20:50Speaker 3: There must have been a lot of killing the Patriots
- 20:53Speaker 3: those calls. So, Mike, what's going on?
- 20:57Speaker 6: I'm back from the locker room, Back from the locker room.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Draw from what was the mood where the player's friendly
- 21:04Speaker 4: to that none of them looked like Devin Henry Hay, Mike,
- 21:08Speaker 4: what was it like?
- 21:13Speaker 3: What the lights?
- 21:18Speaker 4: We did? We did it yesterday.
- 21:20Speaker 6: It is one of those kind of songs that you
- 21:21Speaker 6: feel like that the lighters will come up, But I
- 21:23Speaker 6: don't think they do lighters anyway, right, it's all phone
- 21:25Speaker 6: phone phone lights.
- 21:26Speaker 4: My guess is the lighter and frowned upon. It's probably
- 21:31Speaker 4: frowned upon.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Is that.
- 21:33Speaker 8: I don't know people like that wouldn't allow people to Yeah,
- 21:36Speaker 8: but I can't you can't do it in the bowl.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Bring a lighter what Deuce does do his concert and
- 21:41Speaker 3: they get to that part of the concert where they
- 21:43Speaker 3: play this, everybody's.
- 21:44Speaker 6: Like, yes, I love the friends. Just when I get
- 21:49Speaker 6: to my concert, it's like it's gonna happen. We're manifesting it.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Manifested it yesterday on where was it Tuesday? And then
- 21:55Speaker 7: you said you want to get.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Serious about you want to get roots, use the next level.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I think you know, the next time, the next time
- 22:02Speaker 3: you have a platform, just make some YouTube. The next
- 22:05Speaker 3: time the Patriots make it to the super Bowl and
- 22:08Speaker 3: we have our rally out of the plaza there you
- 22:12Speaker 3: know that, So hit it.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Up for show. All right, Yeah, we're my weekend. Uh no,
- 22:18Speaker 6: I appreciate that, guys. Thanks that was great, Thanks of
- 22:20Speaker 6: course to Jill for that wonderful song. Uh know, it's
- 22:23Speaker 6: uh yeah, a little bit in the locker room today,
- 22:24Speaker 6: Kayden Wallace was I think the most interesting person just
- 22:27Speaker 6: because back in the mix. So I spoke with him,
- 22:31Speaker 6: Michael when you as well, So I don't know what
- 22:33Speaker 6: thing that stuck me with a WNU though, it's funny.
- 22:35Speaker 6: So Taylor Kyle's asked a question about you know, the
- 22:38Speaker 6: Scott Peters and the strike system and how's it all going,
- 22:40Speaker 6: how's it all coming along? And when she's like, no,
- 22:42Speaker 6: it's good, it's good, you know, I just I feel
- 22:44Speaker 6: like I've been a little wishy washy on it, like yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 6: wishy washy, Okay.
- 22:48Speaker 4: It's good, it's good consistent, So like I haven't really
- 22:51Speaker 4: taken to it. I'm not really committed to it now.
- 22:53Speaker 6: That's what's hard is I don't know if if the
- 22:55Speaker 6: bill has gotten beaten out of them now and they just.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Did anyone ask like, what does that X actually mean? No?
- 23:02Speaker 6: And that was I think it was like the last
- 23:03Speaker 6: question too, And I tapped tailor and I was like,
- 23:05Speaker 6: wishy washy, But I mean it kind of lines up
- 23:08Speaker 6: so hopefully.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Like to me, I don't know if that means like
- 23:11Speaker 3: he doesn't understand it or he just doesn't like it.
- 23:14Speaker 4: I think he's not all in. Yeah, that's how I
- 23:16Speaker 4: would take it.
- 23:17Speaker 7: Maybe he also just used wishy washy like a little
- 23:19Speaker 7: out of context.
- 23:20Speaker 6: I know they'll say.
- 23:22Speaker 7: A phrase or it's like.
- 23:23Speaker 6: They don't necessarily no a little bit of cliches.
- 23:26Speaker 7: But they're like just trying to come up.
- 23:28Speaker 4: To that happens a lot happens to me and Fred
- 23:30Speaker 4: all the time. We use words incorrectly.
- 23:32Speaker 6: Yeah, but those are some of the themes I think
- 23:34Speaker 6: that continue to pop up with some of these interviews
- 23:36Speaker 6: as you get down the stretch of poor communication. Sorry,
- 23:40Speaker 6: I hate when I go into a serious thought and
- 23:42Speaker 6: you're still but those, you know, those those recurrent themes
- 23:47Speaker 6: of like poor communication. That was something that's been talked about,
- 23:50Speaker 6: and you know, on the defensive side of the ball,
- 23:52Speaker 6: Covington said, we need to work on you know, everybody
- 23:54Speaker 6: communicating fast, you know, pointing a lot of just fingers
- 23:58Speaker 6: towards inconsistency, guys not being on the same page. And
- 24:02Speaker 6: you know, here we are with four games to go.
- 24:03Speaker 6: So I think they are very aware of those things
- 24:05Speaker 6: along with red zone that that need to be better.
- 24:08Speaker 6: So that that was a little bit of my takeaway.
- 24:10Speaker 6: A little quiet in the locker room. I didn't notice
- 24:12Speaker 6: as many masks today, so perhaps, oh, thank god, that
- 24:15Speaker 6: threat is passing thing. Perhaps I don't know. I guess
- 24:18Speaker 6: Evan might have a report.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Different days when you could be sick and you just
- 24:21Speaker 4: were sick.
- 24:21Speaker 6: Yeah, just stay away from me. But but uh, yeah,
- 24:26Speaker 6: that was about it. That was about it. Kind of
- 24:27Speaker 6: quiet day nothing. Christian Ellis, you know.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Yeah, were you with the coaches?
- 24:32Speaker 6: I was, I was, well, I went right to Brian
- 24:34Speaker 6: Belichick because we knew, we knew he was gonna the
- 24:36Speaker 6: big story. That the big story today. You know, I'm
- 24:39Speaker 6: sure Poulardy.
- 24:40Speaker 4: It was kind of a day off for the rest
- 24:42Speaker 4: of them. It didn't really look like there was many
- 24:44Speaker 4: people in most of the other rooms I saw High
- 24:47Speaker 4: Tower looked like he wrapped up quickly. And then a
- 24:49Speaker 4: couple of people I think got.
- 24:51Speaker 8: Him for a real That happened is there's no one
- 24:52Speaker 8: in High Tower's room except for like one or two people,
- 24:55Speaker 8: so he thought he was off the hook, and then
- 24:56Speaker 8: a couple of people caught him in a scrum at
- 24:58Speaker 8: the door.
- 24:58Speaker 6: So okay, yeah, yeah, And uh, I know, I haven't
- 25:03Speaker 6: talked to Pellegrino a little bit, and uh he was funny,
- 25:05Speaker 6: as you know, everybody a lot of the same questions
- 25:07Speaker 6: about Bill and about some of these defensive guys going
- 25:10Speaker 6: on to his staff. I think it's a well, especially
- 25:12Speaker 6: the guys.
- 25:13Speaker 4: That coached under Bill, like Pellegrino, and I think everyone
- 25:19Speaker 4: wanted to do something with Gonzales. But you know, understanding
- 25:22Speaker 4: and reading the room. He was like, yeah, you guys
- 25:25Speaker 4: get you can get your Belichick questions and I'll wait yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 4: you know yeah he.
- 25:29Speaker 6: Said, uh, he said, Pellegrino just you know, quickly dismissive of.
- 25:32Speaker 6: But I just what I was saying to Evan was
- 25:34Speaker 6: some of these guys they didn't want to really make
- 25:36Speaker 6: a lateral move, like to position coach at UNC right,
- 25:40Speaker 6: like like you have to be an. I mean, I
- 25:42Speaker 6: think Brian Belichick probably will go. I think he'll I
- 25:45Speaker 6: would guess why do.
- 25:46Speaker 4: You say that.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I just think it's an opportunity for him to.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Maybe renite, reunite with reunite with his family. But you know,
- 25:54Speaker 6: I just I don't know what he would go to.
- 25:55Speaker 6: He shouldn't go to be the safety's coaching.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Well that's what I mean, Like really the safeties coach
- 26:00Speaker 3: in the NFL probably better than Yeah, you know.
- 26:02Speaker 7: Also Brian was like a young.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Made more information on that.
- 26:05Speaker 8: Yeah, And if he was gonna leave, like I would
- 26:08Speaker 8: have thought it would be before this season, I don't.
- 26:10Speaker 6: Know unless maybe Bill I can see it go.
- 26:12Speaker 7: I could see it fifty to fifty.
- 26:13Speaker 4: No, it wasn't. There a lot of talk last year
- 26:16Speaker 4: that he had a newborn and that was a big
- 26:18Speaker 4: part of the reason. So you're not in that situation.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, But we were talking about Bears, Nigerian who's
- 26:23Speaker 3: at BC, and I know he's got his kids and
- 26:26Speaker 3: this is where he's set up. He lives locally, obviously,
- 26:28Speaker 3: and like does he want to be the chief of
- 26:31Speaker 3: staff down there or the chief of staff and.
- 26:34Speaker 4: See, and that's you know, and that is a little
- 26:36Speaker 4: different because he's you know, he's obviously at a much
- 26:40Speaker 4: different stage in life. His kids are older and you know,
- 26:44Speaker 4: well one's in college and I think one is graduating,
- 26:48Speaker 4: I think graduating this year in high school. I also
- 26:53Speaker 4: I talk to somebody who has spoken to him recently
- 26:57Speaker 4: and he said, like just how much he enjoys it.
- 27:00Speaker 4: It's like a ten minute drive, you know, to work
- 27:03Speaker 4: every day, right, you know, as opposed to coming here
- 27:05Speaker 4: every day from wherever he lives. So I think lifestyle
- 27:10Speaker 4: is probably a huge part of it. And if Brian stays,
- 27:13Speaker 4: then that's probably going to be why Brian stays is
- 27:16Speaker 4: you know, his family's here, you know, his his wife
- 27:19Speaker 4: and kids. So my guess is that he'll go. But
- 27:23Speaker 4: I need to know more information like the whole lateral thing,
- 27:25Speaker 4: like what are they getting paid? Right? Right? Maybe? I mean,
- 27:28Speaker 4: and I'm not privy to that information, maybe he's got
- 27:31Speaker 4: a chance to double his salary being a position coach
- 27:34Speaker 4: at North Carolina. I have no idea.
- 27:36Speaker 6: I'm so curious what the staff is gonna look like
- 27:38Speaker 6: down there, and is it Is it going to be
- 27:39Speaker 6: all the old guys? Do you think there'll be some
- 27:41Speaker 6: new faces?
- 27:42Speaker 4: Maybe he's going to have to have some He's gonna
- 27:45Speaker 4: have to have some new faces because I don't think
- 27:47Speaker 4: there's enough old guys Like Bill O'Brian's a head coach,
- 27:51Speaker 4: you know, somewhere else.
- 27:52Speaker 3: He might keep some of the existing staff.
- 27:54Speaker 4: From North Carolina. I doubt that because I think they're gone.
- 27:59Speaker 4: They're probably getting jobs somewhere else already. Like Matt Brown
- 28:03Speaker 4: got fired like a month ago. Kitchens see on that staff.
- 28:09Speaker 6: I think he was the Freddy Kittens. He was, he
- 28:11Speaker 6: was the interim coach after Okay fired. Yeah, I also
- 28:15Speaker 6: wonder if.
- 28:16Speaker 4: He could stay freddy, you can stay like was Bill
- 28:19Speaker 4: put Freddy Kittens.
- 28:20Speaker 6: I think Patricia will go like does he is the
- 28:22Speaker 6: offensive defense? You know he'll do both, I mean the offense,
- 28:28Speaker 6: like something with Brian though, could be maybe they put
- 28:31Speaker 6: them on the offensive side of the ball. I mean,
- 28:32Speaker 6: I think Bill really believes in that with his assistant coaches,
- 28:35Speaker 6: and maybe he sees that as an opportunity to you know,
- 28:37Speaker 6: then you can see what maybe the motivation is to
- 28:39Speaker 6: really round yourself out. And but I mean, I I
- 28:42Speaker 6: don't know how you guys feel about it, but it's
- 28:44Speaker 6: got to be hard if you're in the NFL to
- 28:46Speaker 6: leave the NFL as a young coach and these kind
- 28:48Speaker 6: of opportunities don't always pop up. I mean, his last
- 28:50Speaker 6: name will will help him get back into the NFL,
- 28:52Speaker 6: but I think it's hard to you know, go down
- 28:54Speaker 6: into UNC and go back to the college level and
- 28:57Speaker 6: you know you're kind of out of the mainstream NFL
- 29:00Speaker 6: of it all.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be, it'll be. It'll be fun to watch
- 29:04Speaker 3: how this story develops.

- 31:15Speaker 4: by and it was by the way, as I predicted
- 31:18Speaker 4: a good week in general for everyone, I didn't think
- 31:22Speaker 4: there were a ton of upsets last week. That's why
- 31:24Speaker 4: I figured everybody did be well.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Was tough for me, Yeah, I had some courageous picks
- 31:28Speaker 3: that could have been but.
- 31:31Speaker 7: Courageous.
- 31:32Speaker 3: We talked to yesterday about the evaluation of coaches, how
- 31:35Speaker 3: everyone gets evaluated. William from Gainesville, Florida rites in first
- 31:40Speaker 3: time emailing. Unfortunately only get to listen to the podcast
- 31:44Speaker 3: the next day. Always working the point I want to
- 31:46Speaker 3: make is everyone is evaluated in their jobs from year
- 31:49Speaker 3: to year. This way the employee can get feedback and
- 31:51Speaker 3: what they're doing well and what they need to improve,
- 31:53Speaker 3: just like you all. I don't believe Mayo will be
- 31:56Speaker 3: fired after one year. I've been a fan since seventy five,
- 31:59Speaker 3: and I'm glad I stumbled across your show a couple
- 32:02Speaker 3: of years ago. And I'm glad Eric went his own
- 32:04Speaker 3: way because I never thought he wanted to be there,
- 32:07Speaker 3: have a great show and we will rise from the ashes,
- 32:10Speaker 3: Go Patriots, that's a great. Well he really didn't.
- 32:16Speaker 4: He really just thought though.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Stain for us was dripping.
- 32:22Speaker 7: So how do you get on the radio to begin with?
- 32:24Speaker 7: You just thought it would be fun for him to.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Be the little I know fodder when I say.
- 32:29Speaker 7: Hell yeah, it went out.
- 32:31Speaker 4: It did work. We've said this many many times on
- 32:35Speaker 4: the show. But Alex, are you familiar with SpongeBob SquarePants?
- 32:38Speaker 4: Of Eric was squidward?
- 32:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he was down playing the clarinet.
- 32:44Speaker 4: He was better, He was better than everybody.
- 32:47Speaker 6: Yes, Fred was he always like that though from minutes Yes,
- 32:51Speaker 6: he never evolved. It was always just Eric was.
- 32:53Speaker 9: You know.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I think it started with the idea that he and
- 33:00Speaker 4: I went to the same college. I think that really
- 33:02Speaker 4: bugged him.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah, the fact that he was turned down to Brown,
- 33:07Speaker 3: that's one of the that's one of the regrets of
- 33:09Speaker 3: his life is not getting into.
- 33:12Speaker 4: And Andy went to a better at college, which really him.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Yep. Alex writes in uh emailing to get the newsletter,
- 33:25Speaker 3: but also to say, there's no way Fred could be
- 33:27Speaker 3: on the hot seat unless something came out, such as
- 33:30Speaker 3: he's been taking money under the table field queen.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Yeah, off field absolutely good email, some off failed scandal
- 33:37Speaker 4: could take down the boss man, that's it.
- 33:39Speaker 6: But otherwise is not hot Like, I don't really care
- 33:42Speaker 6: too much about this, but like in all honesty, like
- 33:44Speaker 6: there's a difference between like, yes, everyone's always being evaluated
- 33:47Speaker 6: and if you don't do a good job in the
- 33:49Speaker 6: next four weeks, you're gonna get fired. You know, there
- 33:51Speaker 6: is there is a line there.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, Dana. When Chicago wants to know if
- 33:57Speaker 3: it will help with you in C's upcoming Bowl game, it's.
- 34:01Speaker 4: A good questions right here at Fenway Park.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 4: I don't know if people are aware of that, but
- 34:05Speaker 4: North Carolina is Wasabia Fenway Bowl against Yukon.
- 34:10Speaker 6: You guys were off one. You guys were funny on
- 34:12Speaker 6: the wasabi They're like, how does like a wasabi sponsors? Like,
- 34:14Speaker 6: you know, it's a it's a company.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Just so you know. That wasn't me.
- 34:19Speaker 6: It's not like, you know, the sushi thing.
- 34:20Speaker 7: I thought it was like, Yeah, it's like.
- 34:22Speaker 4: A software or a cloud. I think it's a cloud
- 34:25Speaker 4: network or something like that cloud story, cloud storage. I
- 34:28Speaker 4: knew I would screw that Internet.
- 34:30Speaker 6: Nothing to do.
- 34:30Speaker 4: That's why Fred goes to Tennessee to speak at conventions.
- 34:35Speaker 3: I don't get those invites anymore. No, Yeah, I'm out
- 34:38Speaker 3: of that loop. I'm out of the circuit.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you asked for too much the last time.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I didn't really ask for I should have asked for
- 34:46Speaker 3: us something. You know, you get your little lanyard. It's like, oh,
- 34:48Speaker 3: that's great.
- 34:50Speaker 8: You should be asking for like honorary degrees everywhere you
- 34:52Speaker 8: go honorary.
- 34:53Speaker 3: I don't know if they tech companies hand out degrees.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Okay, Yeah, I wasn't.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Giving a convincement speech to ry some online college. Uh.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Todd writes in I find it interesting how many in
- 35:11Speaker 3: the media are critical of Bill for taking the UNC job,
- 35:14Speaker 3: apparently feeling that the job is somehow beneath him, or
- 35:17Speaker 3: there must be some hidden agenda. I always felt Bill
- 35:20Speaker 3: would coach football even if no one was watching. You
- 35:23Speaker 3: might even prefer that. My take is that he simply
- 35:26Speaker 3: loves football and this is an opportunity for him, and
- 35:29Speaker 3: he really doesn't care what we think about it.
- 35:31Speaker 4: I agree with that. Yeah, yeah, I don't think he
- 35:33Speaker 4: cares at all about what people think.
- 35:35Speaker 6: My question is that I'm very curious about, very curious.
- 35:38Speaker 6: What's the media coverage like in North Carolina? What's that
- 35:40Speaker 6: media contingent like? Is it gonna be as standoffish and
- 35:44Speaker 6: uncomfortable with them as it was here? Is he gonna
- 35:47Speaker 6: be a little bit more open because it's college kids
- 35:49Speaker 6: are more closed off, Like, how's that all gonna work?
- 35:51Speaker 6: That's what I'm curious about.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it'd be interesting. I think that some of those things,
- 35:57Speaker 4: like you might think it's all like Hooterville and you know,
- 36:01Speaker 4: like everybody's on board, but it's not always like that,
- 36:05Speaker 4: especially in the South. Now. I don't know how North
- 36:09Speaker 4: Carolina basketball, as an example, I don't think Bill would
- 36:12Speaker 4: do well like dealing with the media for that because
- 36:15Speaker 4: it's scrutiny because they expect to win national championships, and
- 36:18Speaker 4: when they fall short of that, there's a lot of
- 36:20Speaker 4: heat on the coach and there's a lot of contentiousness.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Even Shryzewsky, for all the winning, he used to have
- 36:26Speaker 4: battles with like student newspapers, you know.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Like Nick Saban in Alabama, Right, I mean.
- 36:32Speaker 4: That's I just don't know if the scrutiny at North
- 36:34Speaker 4: Carolina football would rise to that level, right, that it
- 36:37Speaker 4: would have basketball like friend's right, Like how many times
- 36:41Speaker 4: you see Saban snapping at somebody? Yeah?
- 36:42Speaker 6: Right, I don't picture of some poor unc journalism student
- 36:46Speaker 6: who writes for the school paper. What are we doing here?
- 36:48Speaker 6: What are we doing here?
- 36:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Right?
- 36:50Speaker 10: Right?
- 36:50Speaker 4: For the bugle.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Tyler from Ludlow. As a transplant from the Midwest Bourbonet, Illinois,
- 36:59Speaker 3: I noticed that people in New England pronounce some words differently.
- 37:03Speaker 3: You think. The most interesting to me is that people
- 37:06Speaker 3: say root route when taking a road like route ninety,
- 37:11Speaker 3: but will say route when talking about a wide receiver's
- 37:14Speaker 3: assignment on a play.
- 37:15Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Both essentially mean the same thing, but it said differently.
- 37:19Speaker 3: This all is coming from someone that is part of
- 37:21Speaker 3: the country that pronounces creek as crick and the Commander's
- 37:25Speaker 3: playing Washington.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's accurate. I think people around here would
- 37:31Speaker 4: say route ninety five, route ninety three, But but they
- 37:35Speaker 4: have problems running.
- 37:36Speaker 7: Around route or you're running an I guess route would
- 37:39Speaker 7: be never mind.
- 37:41Speaker 4: I don't know my point now, and the rest of
- 37:42Speaker 4: that I retract the rest of the country. Would they
- 37:45Speaker 4: say route, Well, you say route nine.
- 37:47Speaker 8: Would you say route ninety route said, I wouldn't.
- 37:51Speaker 3: I was, you know, I would say route I was
- 37:53Speaker 3: on Route ninety five, but I got re routed ninety
- 37:57Speaker 3: route via Route ninety Right, that's good, good Fred.
- 38:01Speaker 6: They lost in a route.
- 38:03Speaker 4: That's that's a whole different word.
- 38:04Speaker 3: That's a different, different definition.
- 38:06Speaker 4: That's kind of like our ari and our okay, no, no, no, no,
- 38:10Speaker 4: no no, there's a different words.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Brandon in North Carolina excited to see uh Bill coach
- 38:18Speaker 3: the tar Heels going forward. I actually live about fifteen
- 38:20Speaker 3: minutes from the college. Dougger was drafted from where I lived.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Tar Heels basketball to all the attention and not much
- 38:26Speaker 3: as said about the football program, and I think now
- 38:29Speaker 3: that Bill is there, he will draw a lot of
- 38:31Speaker 3: attention to the program. I personally don't think his style
- 38:34Speaker 3: of coaching will work in the NCAA. I believe this
- 38:37Speaker 3: was more of him paving the way for his son
- 38:40Speaker 3: to get a head coaching role. Either way, I think
- 38:43Speaker 3: it's a good thing for the program, and I might
- 38:45Speaker 3: try and go watch a game a year this year.
- 38:49Speaker 6: Well, so they're acc so they might play BC at
- 38:52Speaker 6: some point, right.
- 38:53Speaker 4: But they're not. I believe they're not scheduled to until
- 38:56Speaker 4: twenty eight. No, I forget, which means he probably will
- 39:01Speaker 4: not be the head coach with the next time they
- 39:02Speaker 4: play BC.
- 39:03Speaker 3: John and Clayton writes up writes in he says, I
- 39:06Speaker 3: live outside of Raleigh. I'm as amazed at everyone about
- 39:09Speaker 3: Belichick coming to UNC. Will certainly bring attention to the
- 39:13Speaker 3: situation all year. Do you think Belichick will prevent or
- 39:16Speaker 3: even have the power to prevent his likeness from being
- 39:20Speaker 3: used in the college equivalent of Madden College Football twenty five? Yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 3: he'll have the power to do that.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Why not, I don't know.
- 39:28Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:29Speaker 6: That was like a coach's union, yeah, right.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Like, Also, do you think he can have an immediate
- 39:33Speaker 3: impact on college kids football performance? I do absolutely.
- 39:38Speaker 4: He's a positive or negative positive? Yeah, I just want
- 39:43Speaker 4: wanted to get you on the class. I have no idea.
- 39:45Speaker 4: I don't think he coached young guys well in the pros,
- 39:48Speaker 4: to be honest with you, you know, certainly not recently.
- 39:52Speaker 4: So now he's got all young guys, I don't think
- 39:54Speaker 4: it's a given. I kind of agree with the email.
- 39:56Speaker 6: All those kids are, you know, kids inconsistent. Let me
- 39:58Speaker 6: talk about you know, not knowing what you're going to
- 40:00Speaker 6: get every day from college kids.
- 40:01Speaker 3: It's like, if you're going to ask.
- 40:02Speaker 8: You to you can't really choose where you're going all
- 40:05Speaker 8: the time unless you're a free agent. Whereas like kids
- 40:07Speaker 8: that are going to Chapel Hill are buying into him
- 40:10Speaker 8: being the coach.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Right, No, I have no Like he's a teacher at
- 40:14Speaker 3: I have no.
- 40:17Speaker 4: All these are all things that are given. Bill's if
- 40:20Speaker 4: not the very best, He's in a very small percentage
- 40:23Speaker 4: of the best to ever do that teach, come up
- 40:26Speaker 4: with schemes, game plan like. There's nobody that would argue,
- 40:30Speaker 4: even snarky Paul wouldn't argue that he's not the elite
- 40:33Speaker 4: of the elite, like he's in the top one percent
- 40:36Speaker 4: to ever do it in that regard. But I just
- 40:40Speaker 4: think it's easy to say, yeah, I know what I'm
- 40:41Speaker 4: getting into. I'm going to go there. This is kind
- 40:45Speaker 4: of not really fun. He really thinks that the guy
- 40:46Speaker 4: at you know, Spartanburg High School can be as good
- 40:49Speaker 4: as me is. I'm just going to go to another school.
- 40:51Speaker 4: It's so easy to.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Just leave it is.
- 40:54Speaker 4: But if so, does he get thirty guys that want
- 40:58Speaker 4: to do it that way, because that's what it takes.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Well, Listen, if football is important to you, you know
- 41:04Speaker 3: you'll love it.
- 41:05Speaker 7: And I think that's what he's going to attract.
- 41:07Speaker 8: I think he's going to kind of just sift out
- 41:09Speaker 8: the kids that are in it for the clout and
- 41:13Speaker 8: the intangibles that come along with being a high level
- 41:16Speaker 8: college football player, and he'll get kids that really want
- 41:19Speaker 8: to learn the game and really appreciate the value he
- 41:22Speaker 8: brings in being their coach. I think people are really
- 41:24Speaker 8: glossing over that there's a market for that, and this
- 41:27Speaker 8: isn't a responsible I mean.
- 41:28Speaker 4: That's what everything is based on. People wanting to people
- 41:31Speaker 4: knowing that he can prepare them for the NFL. That's
- 41:33Speaker 4: what this entire thing is based on.
- 41:34Speaker 8: That's part of his Like what do you what are
- 41:37Speaker 8: your motivations in playing college football, and if he sifts
- 41:41Speaker 8: out all those people that it's for other reasons, then
- 41:45Speaker 8: I don't know. I think and this isn't a response
- 41:47Speaker 8: to anything directly on this show, but the people who
- 41:50Speaker 8: say maybe his coaching style won't fit my whole life.
- 41:53Speaker 8: He was compared to Nick Saban Nick Saban. Nick Saban's
- 41:56Speaker 8: the Belichick of college and year after year Alabama put
- 42:00Speaker 8: out powerhouses and guys went to go play at Alabama.
- 42:03Speaker 3: So it's like, I don't know, but that was before
- 42:06Speaker 3: the NIL thinks a little bit.
- 42:07Speaker 4: But that's a really good point. Nick nick Saban was
- 42:11Speaker 4: a task paster and he had no problems attracting talent.
- 42:15Speaker 8: And with Nil now there's less of the emotion attached
- 42:19Speaker 8: to like the coach, and that probably.
- 42:21Speaker 7: Will work well with Bill. That's a really really good
- 42:24Speaker 7: counter six in money, I.
- 42:26Speaker 6: Just think about what going on.
- 42:27Speaker 4: I'm I'm skeptical, but I have no doubt that he's
- 42:33Speaker 4: gonna be He's gonna be better. Like whatever. They're probably
- 42:37Speaker 4: gonna win seven games, he's probably gonna win eight or nine,
- 42:40Speaker 4: like with the same team, just like Bill O'Brien did.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Bill O'Brien took a middling ACC team and made them
- 42:47Speaker 4: a little better than middling. And I think that Bill
- 42:49Speaker 4: will do that immediately because he's that good. But I
- 42:54Speaker 4: don't know if if I if this was like a
- 42:56Speaker 4: ten year thing, i'd say it's not gonna work. It'll work,
- 43:00Speaker 4: I think initially in a short term kind of a deal.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Alex, another person from Raleigh, North Carolina. I don't listen
- 43:07Speaker 3: to Mike Lombardi because I need people who have original thoughts,
- 43:10Speaker 3: not mouthpieces.
- 43:11Speaker 4: For Bill, Alex.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I saw the news and I said, oh, I can't
- 43:15Speaker 3: wait for Paul to talk about this, and it delivered. Paul,
- 43:19Speaker 3: you were spot on about Mike really earned the role
- 43:21Speaker 3: on merit Also, Paul flip side, I can't let that
- 43:25Speaker 3: even BC made a Bowl shot slide without saying what
- 43:28Speaker 3: bowl is Northwestern in? Well, it's Northeastern.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Actually, yeah, that's a shot at MOB.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Megan O'Brien, you're Northeastern. MOB was Northwestern.
- 43:39Speaker 4: My school is undefeated in football for I don't know decades.
- 43:43Speaker 6: Now, I thought the same thing. I thought the same
- 43:47Speaker 6: thing about it. I just wish I could see tass
- 43:48Speaker 6: reactions to and Michael Marty will be going with him.
- 43:51Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, and I wouldn't given to just see
- 43:52Speaker 6: his reaction.
- 43:54Speaker 7: Were you shocked when you saw it or were you not?
- 43:55Speaker 7: Did you laugh?
- 43:56Speaker 4: No?
- 43:56Speaker 3: I did.
- 43:57Speaker 4: One of my friends sent me the text with the
- 43:59Speaker 4: with the big picture of his face, and I was like,
- 44:02Speaker 4: this is just so perfect because I had just gotten
- 44:05Speaker 4: off Felger and Maz And that's kind of like when
- 44:08Speaker 4: I was leaving, is kind of when it got finalized,
- 44:13Speaker 4: the Chefter thing. Well, I knew he was going to
- 44:15Speaker 4: get the I mean like it. I mean, it was
- 44:16Speaker 4: all tracking. I mean like everybody kept saying they're just
- 44:21Speaker 4: kind of sort of hammering out the final details. It
- 44:23Speaker 4: seemed like it was gonna happen. And then by the
- 44:26Speaker 4: time I got home, I get the Lombardy thing and
- 44:28Speaker 4: go oh, because I still thought it was Bears, I did,
- 44:31Speaker 4: so I was wrong about that. But then I saw Lombardi.
- 44:35Speaker 4: I was like, because of course he is. Of course,
- 44:38Speaker 4: I just want to know what he had to be
- 44:39Speaker 4: bought out from.
- 44:41Speaker 6: Well that just makes you, like that reporting just makes
- 44:43Speaker 6: you wonder of like how much other stuff like the
- 44:46Speaker 6: Steve has to be the successor, like, you know, how
- 44:48Speaker 6: much of it wasn't actually really correct in the details.
- 44:51Speaker 4: So I think that that is very interesting, the Steve part.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I think that that is part of it. But I
- 44:58Speaker 4: can't imagine North Carolina like had that into a success.
- 45:02Speaker 4: Like well in writing, like, let's just say, forgments sake,
- 45:05Speaker 4: we're wrong, Like we think Bill is going to go
- 45:08Speaker 4: there and immediately make them better. He's gonna out coach
- 45:11Speaker 4: all of those shoemakers in the ACC. What if he doesn't.
- 45:16Speaker 4: What if the game is just passed him by and
- 45:18Speaker 4: he can't win and they go three and nine instead
- 45:21Speaker 4: of eight and four. You know, so he's done after
- 45:27Speaker 4: two years, and I got to hire his son now,
- 45:29Speaker 4: who's been the defensive coordinator of the last year, and
- 45:31Speaker 4: now I don't think that's gonna happen. I think they'll
- 45:33Speaker 4: have some success, but I can't imagine North Carolina set
- 45:38Speaker 4: this up that they have to like they're contractually obligated
- 45:42Speaker 4: to do that.
- 45:43Speaker 6: And Steve's a unique cat, like that's not you know,
- 45:46Speaker 6: an easy like yeah, he's clearly head coaching material. We
- 45:50Speaker 6: can't wait to get it. It's like, I mean, that's
- 45:52Speaker 6: he's been the defensive coordinator for one year in college.
- 45:55Speaker 6: I don't know that's It seems like a stretch.
- 45:58Speaker 3: The mullet just.
- 46:01Speaker 6: I mean it would fit in in North Carolina right
- 46:02Speaker 6: like they like, they're like, oh, he's got a mullet.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Nate in Northeast Pennsylvania writes in I went back and
- 46:08Speaker 3: forth for quite a while and whether or not I
- 46:09Speaker 3: should send this email due to embarrassment and shame. But
- 46:13Speaker 3: here it goes. About a year and a half ago,
- 46:16Speaker 3: haff I was the extremely lucky recipient of a put
- 46:20Speaker 3: shirt after answering one of your trivia questions about the show.
- 46:23Speaker 3: I was thrilled. This was around the time where Matt
- 46:25Speaker 3: and the crew were having some mailing issues, but after
- 46:28Speaker 3: many trips out to the mailbox, it arrived. My wife
- 46:32Speaker 3: is my witness. It instantly became my favorite T shirt.
- 46:35Speaker 3: I wore it constantly, and my ultimate hope was to
- 46:37Speaker 3: bump into someone out in public here in Pennsylvania who
- 46:40Speaker 3: would recognize it. This is where the story takes a turn.
- 46:43Speaker 4: No one ever did.
- 46:45Speaker 3: I brought it on vacation for a trip out to
- 46:47Speaker 3: west to Utah slash Arizona. I wore it one of
- 46:50Speaker 3: the days we hiked again, hoping it would turn some heads.
- 46:54Speaker 3: That was somehow the last day I recollect wearing the shirt.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Never in my life have I ever lost a shirt,
- 47:00Speaker 3: but it somehow did not make the trip back with me.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I'm ashamed and embarrassed, and I've tried to think of
- 47:05Speaker 3: every way I could find a replacement without having to
- 47:08Speaker 3: beg you guys. I even considered making my own shirt
- 47:11Speaker 3: on the black market, as Alex had mentioned was possibly happening.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Long story short, I'm in desperation mode. I thought of
- 47:19Speaker 3: the old Klon Klondike bar slogan, what would you do
- 47:23Speaker 3: for another PU T shirt? I'll do anything within reason.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Camer that's Nate from northeast Pennsylvania. I'll figure something.
- 47:34Speaker 4: Unfortunately, Matt stepped out of the Email of the Week.
- 47:37Speaker 7: We can make it happen.
- 47:38Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe that could be it.
- 47:39Speaker 4: That could is that in the running, could be to
- 47:41Speaker 4: forward this too.
- 47:42Speaker 7: We don't have a ton this week.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Alex and I were thinking that we put something in
- 47:52Speaker 3: the newsletter, like you guys stink this week. No Email
- 47:54Speaker 3: of the week. None of them were any good really.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Yeah, So speaking of the Email of the Week or
- 48:01Speaker 4: the story of the week, where did that come from?
- 48:03Speaker 3: Oh?
- 48:04Speaker 6: That was interesting? Yeah, yeah, that's the one about the
- 48:07Speaker 6: guy who saw in the shop.
- 48:10Speaker 3: It was an email. You don't remember that happening.
- 48:13Speaker 6: No, well you interact with you.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you interact with so many people.
- 48:20Speaker 4: I can tell you. I can tell you with certainty
- 48:23Speaker 4: that I do not, and Mike is my witness. I
- 48:25Speaker 4: do not big time people when they they introduced.
- 48:28Speaker 6: Not last night, for sure, had a great time.
- 48:31Speaker 4: It was Believe me, it was not easy last night.
- 48:33Speaker 3: What happened last night?
- 48:35Speaker 4: We did felgrin maz at Legacy place that wasn't dead him.
- 48:40Speaker 4: It wasn't even fun there that wasn't dead. There was
- 48:45Speaker 4: a meet and greet for Christmas in the city with
- 48:47Speaker 4: Mike and Tony, but a lot of people obviously, you know,
- 48:51Speaker 4: took the time to meet. Sure me, you know, the
- 48:54Speaker 4: sad holiday feeling, right.
- 48:55Speaker 7: I wish I knew I had some returns I.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Could have had you make for me, and you would
- 49:00Speaker 4: have trusted me with that without without Beth.
- 49:02Speaker 7: Why wouldn't I just got to walk into Mango and.
- 49:07Speaker 4: That would have gone. Well, I'm not sure I'm doing
- 49:10Speaker 4: this right.
- 49:13Speaker 6: Just take it.
- 49:14Speaker 3: So why was it a tough night?
- 49:17Speaker 4: I met a lot of interesting people.
- 49:19Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it was tough, tough, interesting, like, yeah, why
- 49:27Speaker 6: is that?
- 49:28Speaker 3: Why is that tough?
- 49:29Speaker 4: Can we move on?
- 49:29Speaker 3: Interesting? People should be it should be interesting night.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Some of them were interesting for not the right reasons.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Saying they were unwashed.
- 49:37Speaker 6: No, they just how about here, I'll just say this steerage.
- 49:42Speaker 6: Sometimes when like I feel like I'm out and someone
- 49:44Speaker 6: knows what you do, they want to talk a lot
- 49:46Speaker 6: about the Patriots, and you don't.
- 49:47Speaker 3: You're kind of.
- 49:49Speaker 6: If the clock. He's on the clock, and then they
- 49:52Speaker 6: start giving you opinions that you're not sure you agree with,
- 49:54Speaker 6: but you're not quite ready to get into a whole
- 49:56Speaker 6: thing with him about it, so you just kind of
- 49:58Speaker 6: have to laugh.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Andy behind the velvet rope.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Andy would not have interacted. That's why I'm wondering about
- 50:09Speaker 4: this story. I'm wondering if what it was Andy, because
- 50:11Speaker 4: that's Andy's emo real Yeah, and I'm not like Andy
- 50:16Speaker 4: was just very quiet.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Well, he didn't say that.
- 50:17Speaker 4: He was never rude. I want to I don't want
- 50:19Speaker 4: to make it out. He didn't say that big time
- 50:21Speaker 4: then No, no, no, but like I could see Andy, like,
- 50:24Speaker 4: what's put it this way? If this had like I
- 50:26Speaker 4: was in no way annoyed by any of Like I
- 50:29Speaker 4: was annoyed by someone last night.
- 50:32Speaker 3: I was that person, a frequent caller of the show,
- 50:36Speaker 3: not this show, No, no, Yes, of their show.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Oh I think I know who it was.
- 50:41Speaker 6: You know who it was?
- 50:43Speaker 3: Okay, I get it, Like it just and.
- 50:45Speaker 4: It wasn't even that he was a very nice guy
- 50:47Speaker 4: in all serious It was very nice, but like you're
- 50:50Speaker 4: getting on a break, like the people at at Kings
- 50:54Speaker 4: are like bringing stuff over for food, Like, yeah, so
- 50:58Speaker 4: people are trying to do this. Guys are trying to
- 51:00Speaker 4: do their live reads. You know, Jim Murray's got a
- 51:03Speaker 4: live read that he's trying to do, And like, now's
- 51:05Speaker 4: not the time to tell me what your thoughts are
- 51:07Speaker 4: on every aspect of the organization. I felt like I
- 51:11Speaker 4: was like bothering Mike and Jim because this guy's talking,
- 51:14Speaker 4: you know what I mean. It wasn't because the guy
- 51:16Speaker 4: was a bad guy, all right, Like it just was
- 51:19Speaker 4: it was tough wrong time timing, timing issue.
- 51:22Speaker 3: I saw this one on Twitter. I don't know the
- 51:24Speaker 3: deeps Jordan and Kansas writesim, what are your thoughts on
- 51:28Speaker 3: the Mark Gastonoa documentary confronting Brett Farv about taking a
- 51:32Speaker 3: sack to give Michael Strahand the sack record.
- 51:34Speaker 4: My first word was pathetic.
- 51:36Speaker 6: I like that word for it.
- 51:38Speaker 4: I am looking forward to that documentary. I think I
- 51:40Speaker 4: think it debuts tomorrow night the New York Sack Exchange.
- 51:44Speaker 6: I just saw the same clip as you.
- 51:45Speaker 4: I like those thirty for thirties. I saw the trailer
- 51:48Speaker 4: for the thirty for thirty like a month ago. It
- 51:50Speaker 4: looks good. You know, that's my wheelhouse, Like what is
- 51:52Speaker 4: eighties kind of? You know when you know Alex wasn't born?
- 51:56Speaker 4: What what?
- 51:57Speaker 5: What?
- 51:57Speaker 4: What?
- 51:57Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 51:58Speaker 4: So gat do you remember when straight hand broke? Gason
- 52:02Speaker 4: knows very well.
- 52:02Speaker 3: I was watching that game and it was very he took.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Highly highly in question. But not only did he took
- 52:07Speaker 4: a dive because a lot of quarterbacks take dies for sacks,
- 52:11Speaker 4: but it seemed to be orchestrated, like you come in,
- 52:14Speaker 4: I'm going to dive at your feet. We're going to
- 52:16Speaker 4: get you this sack right in the game. That's what
- 52:18Speaker 4: it kind of looked like. Like it was orchestrated. And
- 52:21Speaker 4: gasono evidently has never let it go no definite, and
- 52:24Speaker 4: he confronted far of at some like I don't know,
- 52:28Speaker 4: maybe a card show. He was like, hey, we never
- 52:30Speaker 4: we never met.
- 52:31Speaker 3: I thought we had met before, blah blah blah.
- 52:33Speaker 4: And he like Gaston got in his face and he's like,
- 52:36Speaker 4: you know what you did. You hurt me, you took that,
- 52:40Speaker 4: you took that dive in and like he was really
- 52:42Speaker 4: mad about it, and it was they had it all
- 52:45Speaker 4: on camera. It was uncomfortable. It was really uncomfortable. But
- 52:50Speaker 4: I thought it was pathetic on Gaston's pocket. It was
- 52:52Speaker 4: probably speaking of orchestrated. That was probably orchestrated to some extent,
- 52:56Speaker 4: but like a little w W E. But you haven't
- 52:59Speaker 4: you haven't seen any of Farv's Like he's put out
- 53:01Speaker 4: like a whole statement on it, like he never meant to,
- 53:04Speaker 4: you know, belittle the record. It had nothing to do
- 53:07Speaker 4: with Mark Gastinea.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Well, if anyone straight hands the one that should be apologized,
- 53:12Speaker 3: if anyone's going to apologize.
- 53:14Speaker 6: Was it like his last game though, I mean we
- 53:16Speaker 6: would have gotten it anyway, right, Like that was it?
- 53:18Speaker 3: That was that was this season?
- 53:19Speaker 5: That was it.
- 53:20Speaker 4: No, he wouldn't have gotten I didn't know and it
- 53:22Speaker 4: was late in the game. He wasn't going to get it.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, justin writes in first Off, loving the newsletter,
- 53:28Speaker 3: Congratulations on all the work, Alex fred I was thrilled
- 53:31Speaker 3: to see Buffalo made your top five hate list. Couldn't
- 53:34Speaker 3: agree more with your rationale. Also, I wanted to offer
- 53:37Speaker 3: an explanation behind the continued mystery of Deuce's picks record.
- 53:40Speaker 3: He is flawless at picking the underdogs to cover the spread,
- 53:44Speaker 3: but never picking them to win. This is why he
- 53:46Speaker 3: goes from first in the spread standings to last in
- 53:49Speaker 3: the straight up picks.
- 53:51Speaker 6: Okay, okay, yeah, I had a weird year, weird week
- 53:53Speaker 6: this week, but I'm definitely more invested in it now
- 53:56Speaker 6: with the newsletter in the poop emoji, like I'm just
- 53:58Speaker 6: I'm trying to drop that poop e moj.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Well, Mike, you are no longer first in the spread,
- 54:02Speaker 4: and you're no longer last time.
- 54:04Speaker 6: I'll take it in the middle, All right, in the middle,

- 56:04Speaker 4: Your baked.
- 56:07Speaker 13: Yeah, obviolustely, you know, you know, legendary coach, you know
- 56:10Speaker 13: in the excess he had here, and know what a
- 56:12Speaker 13: great place Chapel Hill is, So you know, anytime you
- 56:14Speaker 13: have a legendary you know, NFL coach going back to college,
- 56:17Speaker 13: I think it's it's cool. It's pretty interesting for me.
- 56:21Speaker 13: I think it's not official yet, so I think you
- 56:24Speaker 13: would love Chapel Hill and she was a great spot.
- 56:26Speaker 13: So KNT thinks, Yeah, I said, nothing official, but cool
- 56:30Speaker 13: thing for the Hall of Fame coach to go back
- 56:31Speaker 13: and coach college.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Kitch decision and have you recruited him with North Carolina
- 56:37Speaker 4: broof sweatshirts.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Or anything like that.
- 56:39Speaker 13: Yeah, no no contact, you know, worried about you know,
- 56:43Speaker 13: this weekend and you got my own games to worry about,
- 56:45Speaker 13: but you know, no insider info.
- 56:46Speaker 5: You spend so much time about Davy does with the Patriots.
- 56:49Speaker 5: You think you'll look good in Carolina Blue?
- 56:51Speaker 13: Yeah, I think aybody looks good kind of the special
- 56:53Speaker 13: color and North Caroline got the Navy in it as well.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Give a lot of friends back there. Do you have
- 56:57Speaker 4: any sense of what the locker room might want for
- 57:00Speaker 4: their next cook?
- 57:01Speaker 13: Yeah, no, not really, haven't really talked to you of
- 57:02Speaker 13: the guys, and most of the guys in my class
- 57:05Speaker 13: they'll be gone their seniors, so uh, they're not really
- 57:08Speaker 13: rapport with the young guys. And yeah, I'm sure they'll
- 57:10Speaker 13: be excited. And you know, I think anytime coach you know,
- 57:13Speaker 13: defensive defensive mind and show, you know, he'll get that
- 57:16Speaker 13: defense rolling. And it's a fun spot, you know. I
- 57:18Speaker 13: think it's a great spot, a great coaching Jaba. I
- 57:20Speaker 13: can't blame him with it. It's an awesome place.
- 57:23Speaker 3: How was your first five weekend?
- 57:24Speaker 4: How did you come straight?
- 57:25Speaker 13: The balance between one to get away from football and
- 57:27Speaker 13: kind of easy move it, but also reflect and trying
- 57:29Speaker 13: to prove. Yeah, I think we were here till till
- 57:33Speaker 13: Tuesday and got a practicing then and I'm away home
- 57:36Speaker 13: and and kind of reset and then, uh, you still
- 57:38Speaker 13: watch football kind of, you know, like a fan. You'll
- 57:40Speaker 13: watch some games and watch college you know those CONFCE
- 57:43Speaker 13: championshis pretty cool, and then watch some NFL games on Sunday.
- 57:46Speaker 13: But I really just kept, you know, looking on Arizona.
- 57:48Speaker 13: I think you can't get get by from You can't
- 57:51Speaker 13: go a week without at least caring, you know, a
- 57:53Speaker 13: little preview into what they do and kind of introduction.
- 57:56Speaker 13: So uh, you know, got back this past weekend and
- 57:58Speaker 13: you're looking forward to you know, getting out there.
- 58:00Speaker 4: What stands out by Arizona's defense for you? They fly around,
- 58:03Speaker 4: you know, I think they're flying around.
- 58:04Speaker 13: I think, uh it's hard time to see, you know,
- 58:06Speaker 13: go to bakerund film.
- 58:07Speaker 6: You know, he's flying around.
- 58:08Speaker 13: He's a great player, and they do a lot of
- 58:10Speaker 13: different stuff and and kind of different different fronts, you know,
- 58:12Speaker 13: mix up coverages. You know, place a man and you'll
- 58:15Speaker 13: bring all out on you. So now I got you
- 58:17Speaker 13: had a lot to prepare for, and we've got a
- 58:18Speaker 13: tough challenge.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Obviously you've grown great super both hundred and and Austin
- 58:23Speaker 3: said this.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Week that you're taking a sack on that third down
- 58:26Speaker 4: which led to the deal points.
- 58:28Speaker 3: It's kind of a growing thing for you to say,
- 58:30Speaker 3: not try to make a big, big play and I
- 58:32Speaker 3: turn the ball over out.
- 58:33Speaker 6: Can you see those little things that you learn, those
- 58:35Speaker 6: little things that.
- 58:35Speaker 13: You go about into no, no, yeah, trying to emphaize
- 58:37Speaker 13: those little things that you're protecting the football and not
- 58:39Speaker 13: putting in harm's way and to save points. I think,
- 58:42Speaker 13: you know, it's a tough balance because I want to
- 58:44Speaker 13: make plays. You want to, you know, put seven on
- 58:46Speaker 13: the board, especially in the red zone down there. So
- 58:47Speaker 13: it's definitely a tough balance. But I think, you know,
- 58:50Speaker 13: defense in the league are good. Sometimes defense wins the
- 58:52Speaker 13: play and you're kind of finding the best answer and
- 58:54Speaker 13: the best thing in doing that play is sometimes the
- 58:56Speaker 13: best decision for me and your coach TC and maybe
- 58:58Speaker 13: people done a good job kind of in our room
- 59:00Speaker 13: of going through those situations and kind of let me know,
- 59:03Speaker 13: you know, hey, there's a situation in the game on
- 59:05Speaker 13: the sideline if you have a timeout, and some some
- 59:07Speaker 13: scenarios like an end of the half stuff. But I
- 59:09Speaker 13: think they're definitely red zone emphasis needs to.
- 59:11Speaker 9: Be those games to sweep Kay as a band just observed,
- 59:16Speaker 9: is there anything in you that said this teas to
- 59:18Speaker 9: that high stakes of opportunities to put your off certifications
- 59:21Speaker 9: and there's probably a different level of intensity.
- 59:26Speaker 4: The games.
- 59:27Speaker 9: Was there that wraps it all?
- 59:30Speaker 13: To get at that, no doubt, especially when you haven't
- 59:35Speaker 13: you know, we haven't felt it. And you know, I
- 59:37Speaker 13: haven't really experienced a playoff game, and you always hear
- 59:39Speaker 13: about what it's been in the past year with the
- 59:41Speaker 13: playoff games in the environment. You know, hear in Jillette,
- 59:43Speaker 13: and you know the advantage of us, you know, bringing
- 59:46Speaker 13: you know, teams that may not be you know, more
- 59:48Speaker 13: accustomed to the cold and the cold weather, and you
- 59:50Speaker 13: know watching you know, Tom and those guys, uh, you know,
- 59:53Speaker 13: duke it out and and those runs they had special
- 59:55Speaker 13: and I think you want that feeling. And those guys
- 59:57Speaker 13: in the locker room, you know some of them had it,
- 59:58Speaker 13: but a lot of those young guys haven't. So I
- 59:59Speaker 13: think we're striving for that. And you can use these
- 1:00:02Speaker 13: last four games as a as a challenge and you know,
- 1:00:04Speaker 13: as a step to you know, hey, what we have
- 1:00:06Speaker 13: and what we got here on this team and you
- 1:00:09Speaker 13: know who can help us and who can make some plays.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: For you.
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: Does it create orgency play going into next year with
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: that type one, says stuself.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: But let.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: As fast as we can get.
- 1:00:24Speaker 13: Crud with those everybody's got an emergency you want to be.
- 1:00:27Speaker 13: Nobody wants the season like like this year again. You know,
- 1:00:29Speaker 13: I think it's you know, two years in a row
- 1:00:32Speaker 13: of you know, a season like this, and you know
- 1:00:33Speaker 13: you start to worry. So I think there's definitely emergency
- 1:00:35Speaker 13: in the You see it in those guys, and you
- 1:00:37Speaker 13: see it inspressing in the veterans, and especially me and
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: the quarterback. You know, as the quarterback, you know there's
- 1:00:41Speaker 13: an emergency to get to that point and you'll fix
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: these things or or work on them and get better
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: and use the last four games as a kind of
- 1:00:47Speaker 13: stepping stool.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: The most important thing for Dugery over the last four
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: games orgular seas you talked you over and you're like
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: kind of cutting down and turnovers stead here in the football?
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: Do you have a singular focus the forwards, the kind
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: of finished out of here.
- 1:00:59Speaker 13: I think it's a great opportunity to you'll continue that
- 1:01:01Speaker 13: next type of leadership. You have four games, the last
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: four games of you know, being you know, starting quarterback,
- 1:01:06Speaker 13: and it comes with a responsibility. But you'll take a
- 1:01:09Speaker 13: new step or getting in uncomfortable situations or doing some
- 1:01:12Speaker 13: things to the line of scrimmage that you know, little
- 1:01:14Speaker 13: things like that that can go a long way and
- 1:01:16Speaker 13: kind of getting experiences for the next year. And I think, uh,
- 1:01:18Speaker 13: anytime you're facing you know, we're facing the Bills twice,
- 1:01:22Speaker 13: we'll see them a lot down the road, I'm sure,
- 1:01:24Speaker 13: and we'll have a lot of Honestly, time you see,
- 1:01:26Speaker 13: you know, face a division opponent like that, get ready
- 1:01:28Speaker 13: for new years to come.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: You always start to communicate that sense of urgency you're
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: just describing to some of your receivers. You know, it's
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: an opportunity for them, young.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Guys, bubbs going to the first the second year their year,
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: like this is a chance here for four weeks.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: To kind of build something for us.
- 1:01:44Speaker 13: For sure, they know that too.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: I think they know that.
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: I think you know, those guys are you kind of
- 1:01:49Speaker 13: seeing you know, seeing their eyes and seeing the way
- 1:01:50Speaker 13: they're practicing that, Hey, this is kind of a step
- 1:01:52Speaker 13: for me to show shows what I can do those
- 1:01:55Speaker 13: guys in my class. You know, I think they're ready
- 1:01:56Speaker 13: for them. To give them some chances. That's all me too,
- 1:01:58Speaker 13: And to give some chances and you know, not force
- 1:02:00Speaker 13: the ball, but you know, you know, give some opportunities
- 1:02:02Speaker 13: to go make some players because you know, you see
- 1:02:04Speaker 13: in practice and you just want to see in the games.
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: Have been working at.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: The center on the turn and going back to the
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: first games of the training camp for you and justin
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: the U center, how would you describe the difficulty and
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: that what are the keys?
- 1:02:18Speaker 13: Yeah, anytime a new center, you know, just getting the snap.
- 1:02:20Speaker 13: You know, Jacobe always preaches that and you'll get the
- 1:02:22Speaker 13: snap and and good feet first, So getting the snap
- 1:02:24Speaker 13: is always different. So getting accustomed to you a new center.
- 1:02:27Speaker 13: You kind of you had a good feel with with
- 1:02:29Speaker 13: David throughout your camp a little bit because of the
- 1:02:31Speaker 13: starter and you want to you know, he's going to
- 1:02:33Speaker 13: be in there, and kind of when Ben came kind
- 1:02:35Speaker 13: of you know, you'll get a bit under there and
- 1:02:37Speaker 13: you're knock on wood. But I think that's the biggest
- 1:02:40Speaker 13: thing is just getting accustomed to him and and Cole's
- 1:02:42Speaker 13: you know, the nice job of you kind of gett
- 1:02:43Speaker 13: acclimated into practice and took a few you know, took
- 1:02:46Speaker 13: a few snaps of them from them the other day
- 1:02:48Speaker 13: and just kind of you getting that center quarterback, you know,
- 1:02:51Speaker 13: kind of bond. You need that in any football team
- 1:02:52Speaker 13: and it's special.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: So thank you, guys.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: And now great moments in.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: History.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: The girl talking about.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: What's the what's the update? What's the update, Diana. Let mean,
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: you know, we should probably take a break so we
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: can hear this breaking news. Her talking about Doug Marron's job.
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:03:11Speaker 14: I like her jumpsuit.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: She looks good. I'm glad, o.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: Brian, I'm glad we have female representation, furthering, Yeah, furthering
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: women in sports for generations to come. I like to
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: jump suit.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: That's another great moment.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: All right back here and Patriots son filtered eight five
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: five Pats five hundred is the TPX hotline.
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: And this MLB justice from Meg that was that was
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: good though, Like that was in the middle of a
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: rant and she's like, I like her to jump suit,
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: which was so out of character for her. Oh yeah,
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: I had a good talk with her yesterday. Yeah, MLB.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: Well the text exchange a little Garrett Crochet intel I needed.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Yeah, she's white white up the first. Let's get to
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: the phones. Patty's inn agawam. He starts us off. What's up, Patty?
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: Hey you good afternoon everyone.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: Hey, hey Patty.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: I don't know about you guys.
- 1:04:08Speaker 15: I know it was a different circumstance, but Bill signing
- 1:04:12Speaker 15: with North Carolina gave me vibes from back in the
- 1:04:14Speaker 15: early nineties when when Bill Walsh went to Stanford. I know,
- 1:04:18Speaker 15: he retired, and you know there was a mutual party
- 1:04:21Speaker 15: of ways and Bill was out of Uh Bill Walsh
- 1:04:23Speaker 15: was out of football for a few years. But still
- 1:04:26Speaker 15: I got those vibes.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: I men remember that.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Yeah, he didn't get fired, he stepped away. It was
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: not a mutual party of the ways, and he four
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: years later decided he was going to finish his career
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: coaching back where he stopped.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Long did he stay at stand for a few years?
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Did he?
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: Yep? Any good?
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: I think he did all right, But I think he
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: was out out of coaching for four years. Yeah, by choice.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: How long was Joe Gibbs out of coaching? Oh?
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: Long time?
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Yeah, long time?
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: But he did the NASCAR thing right?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Ye?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: All right, thanks Patty. Let's get to Riley in Phoenix.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: What's up, Riley? Hey good? What's the weather out there?
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: Like? Frightful?
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: It's great, it's nice and stunny. I'll get you a
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: bad answer.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: It is sixty sixty two. It's freezing.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I know it's a bone chilling winter. For sure.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: I'm going to be playing tennis out there Saturday, so
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: make sure it's warm for me.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: All right, I'll do my best. But anyways, I was
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: fortunate enough to visit the Seahawks Cardinals game with a
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: buddy last weekend and was able to do a little
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: bit of gabbing, and I just wanted to get to
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: your guys this thought because my two biggest concerns with
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: the Cardinals team, despite you know, them losing several games
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: in a round now and kind of falling off of
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: the outer part of the season, the most thing, or
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: excuse me, is the two things I'm raising upstabout is
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: a the defense, especially in the red zone. They obviously
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: didn't do too given in the first half versus Seattle,
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: but once they came out in the second half, it
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: was a completely different team out there, especially on the
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: defense that forted severals three and out. I think it
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: was like the first three drives that they were out
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: there on offense, so I'm definitely worried about that. But
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: as far as the offense goes, my main concern is
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: definitely James Cook in that running game, because he's very
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: explosive and had a couple of big runs during that game.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: And obviously our run defense is you know, strengthen up
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: a little in the last couple of weeks. But just
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: kind of wanted to get your guys' thoughts on that.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: And then finally, I just wanted to say that watching
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: Jackson Smith and the Gigbo takes over that game was
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: pretty cool to see, and it just really stresses the
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: importance of getting Drake a number one receiver next year.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: So thanks guys, Okay, thanks Riley.
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: I mean, i'd say James Connor and Trey McBride are
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: my two biggest concerns. I put Kyler Murray aside, but
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: you've had you know, subpar play at safety and coverage
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: and the linebackers really, you know, struggle. So you're talking
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: about Kyle Duggar's got to play well on Trey McBride,
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: Christian Ellis has got to play well on James Connor.
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: I mean, they're gonna get the ball to James Connor
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: twenty times in this game, one way or another. And
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: I think those two guys have the ability to really
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: exploit the problems. Like look Gonzales and you know you
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: have some pieces to compete against the receivers. But Trey McBride,
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: I think that's a problem. I mean, I was writing
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: up a thing. I was like, oh, well, you know,
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: where does Kyle I don't you know, I don't love PFF,
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: like I don't go by that a lot, but sometimes
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: I'm just curious, like what do they say Kyle Duga's
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: doing in coverage? And he was like ninety eighth in
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: among safeties or something crazy like that. So you know
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: that's that's a big matchup. I think for them, I
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: would I would say if I'm the Cardinals, I want
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: to try to get McBride involved early and often and
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: target those Patriots safeties that have had trouble cover in
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: this year.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: They're gonna have to get some pressure. They have to
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: compliment the cover with pressure somehow, and I know they
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: haven't done that a lot this year, but they're gonna
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: have to figure out how to hurry up that passing game.
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's just the discipline, you know. And I
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: said at the top, like they're talking about the communication
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: issues and all being on the same page. Well, you know,
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: this is the kind of quarterback where you all have
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: to be on the same page because if he's getting
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: out of the pocket and guys are running down the field,
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: he's he's gonna scramble, no problem. But I I just
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: think at the end of the day, stop James Connor
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: and and you probably are going to kind of be
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: in it. But if he if James Connor gets going.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: Because I don't think Murray is the kind of guy
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: that's going to drop back, you know three you know,
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: three straight times, you know, and consistently hurt you. It's
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: they want to run the ball, and they want to throw,
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: and they want to and they don't want him throwing
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: the ball forty plus times. I don't think they have
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: that sophisticated a passing attack. They have good players, they
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: have good receivers, and I think that Covington at one
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: point mentioned that they have the fewest drops or something
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: like that. They they do a good good job of
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: contested catches with with Harrison and Michael Wilson, and you know, McBride.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: McBride is really good. Yeah, he's a guy that I
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: don't think a lot of people talk about in terms
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: of the best tight ends. But eighty catches, that's good.
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: That's a good season.
- 1:09:33Speaker 6: He had eighty one last year, so he's you know,
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: right on pace. So he's really you know, establishing himself.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: As eighty for eight fifty one.
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: But no touchdown a rushing touchdown, actually though, that's so strange.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we had some players. Tim, our friend from Duncan says,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: I'm heading out to Phoenix tomorrow for the game and
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: around of golf. I think. I think this will be
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: an interesting game and we may find out a lot
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: about the team and the coaching staff after coming off
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: a tough loss and then the bye. I can easily
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: see this team not having the greatest effort and will
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: be a real test for the coaching staff to have
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: them mentally and physically prepared. I'm cautiously optimistic that'll be
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: a close game, but wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: get an early lead that it may be one of
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: those turnover and penalty filled games. What are your thoughts,
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: I mean, all of that could be true.
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: I hope not.
- 1:10:20Speaker 13: Man.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: I just they had a bad game in Arizona. I
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: don't want to know what the next week it's gonna
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: look like in Buffalo, because you've got a bad game
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: against this Arizona team and you're like, oh man, this
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: is we're just we don't even we didn't bring anything
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: out of the buy. And then you've got to go
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: up and face that Buffalo team, and we all know
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: what that can be like that environment, especially right now,
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: that team's playing well and they're gonna, you know, want
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: to keep pace at the top of the AFC. So
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: I think this is an important game at least just
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: to come out, show some renewed effort, renew enthusiasms, and
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: hopefully put it you know, just just just play a
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: solid football game. I don't need them to necessarily win it, but.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: I do play a solid, solid football I don't have
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: much fear of them not showing up though. No, No,
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: I know a lot of people talk about that. I
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: don't see a lot of examples of that around the league,
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: and I don't expect it here either. I just think
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: I think they'll show up and play.
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: I just worry with a team like this that it's
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: easy to get snowballed. You know, it's easy to like
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: a couple of bad plays to start it off, And
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: that could.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Happen the way the email said it you fall behind
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: early and all of a sudden the turnovers come. That
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: could happen like that's what happened in Miami. I don't
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: think Miami was because they didn't try. I think, you know,
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: they saw what road you're going down, and they struggled
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: defensively and they built a hole, and all of a
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: sudden they start turning the ball over and it goes
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: from you know, twenty four to thirty one, and you know,
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: game's over.
- 1:11:41Speaker 12: Ye.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: Boston Cream writes in first off, great fit and hair Day, Alex,
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: thank you you do a great job with the clean
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: girl esthetic.
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: Oh my god, I actually really you're a clean girl,
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: especially especially have to last TikTok term.
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: I don't think you guys are as opposed to.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: A dirty girl.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: It's clean girl aesthetic.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: It's like not too much makeup.
- 1:12:02Speaker 8: It's it's like a natural makeup look more more like conservative.
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: I don't know, like you put together. You're like more
- 1:12:09Speaker 8: classy and elegant.
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: That's what I think.
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: I'm like. Last week.
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: Yeah, oh, when you weren't camera ready?
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: Not camera ready? Wait a minute, oh Jesus, always camera ready.
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: If I had like a skincare mask on, I still
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: would have come on.
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: That would have I think that would have been gold.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: That would have been gold.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: Right, trivia and trying to stump Paul. Question. Drew Bledsoe
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: the third best quarterback in franchise history, behind the obvious
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: Drake may made made three Pro Bowls in his Patriots career.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Can you name the years.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Ninety seven?
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: Correct?
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Question?
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: Tom Brady has thirty six playoff wins in his career.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: How many do the Jets and Bill's franchise have combined?
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Have no idea?
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Thirty one? Wow, Tom Brady?
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: Is how it seem high for the Jets. I mean,
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: Buffalo had that good run when they were in Super
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: Bowls like they wanted.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: That's at least.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Kean White played another position primarily in high school.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: Can you name that position? Tight end? Is correct?
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: Played it in college too, good.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: Let's get back to the TPX outline. Christians in Virginia?
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: What's up? Christian good?
- 1:13:24Speaker 16: Paul was getting there with a take on Belichick. I
- 1:13:27Speaker 16: really think one of the big things about Belichick when
- 1:13:30Speaker 16: he was rolling out is everyone was saying he was
- 1:13:32Speaker 16: a little bit out of touch with the young guys.
- 1:13:34Speaker 16: And like I said, Paul was getting there with his opinion,
- 1:13:37Speaker 16: but he didn't quite finish what I thought he was
- 1:13:39Speaker 16: gonna say. This really gives him an opportunity to show
- 1:13:42Speaker 16: that he can still connect in that he gives him
- 1:13:46Speaker 16: an opportunity to put his foot in the door kind
- 1:13:47Speaker 16: of there with getting back into the NFL. And then
- 1:13:50Speaker 16: also it gives like his son Steve the benefit of
- 1:13:54Speaker 16: kind of getting a better job. So I really don't
- 1:13:57Speaker 16: see any negative with at least from Bill's side, of
- 1:14:03Speaker 16: trying to go to UNC or going to UNC now.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: I think it was his only option.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks Christian.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: Just so I think I don't ever say zero, because
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: every time I do as I said yesterday, I end
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: up with my foot in my mouth. There's a less
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: than one percent chance of him returning to the NFL
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: in my opinion. Yeah, at this point, I don't care
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: how good it goes. I mean, just to viscerated the
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: NFL in ESPN, Right, Yeah, Well, the NFL has told
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: you they're not interested in you. You just told them
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: this is a big few to the NFL. He's not
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: going back to.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: The The only way I could see that happening is
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: A if he has it out in his contract before
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: the five years is over, Oh he could do that's
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: and b if he just kills it like these first
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: two years and all of a sudden they win the
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: ACC And I know, but people, you know what, he
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: still got it? Bring him in.
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: Yeah, there's just so much to peel back. Like I
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: found myself as a caller saying that, like, you know,
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: his reliance on veterans, like you don't really have veterans
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: in college. You know, his his infatuation with special teams,
- 1:15:06Speaker 6: like can you really be infatuated with special teams in college?
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: I mean, I assume you guys watch more college, but
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: I that has less of an impact. And just the
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: degree that I've always said, turnovers, penalties, big plays that
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: defines college football to me. And those are all things
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: that he's like rail and tries to all.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: And my guess is he'll try to go the veteran route,
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: which is what the guy at Indiana did. They went
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: and got a bunch of transfers, the third and fourth
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: year players, and they turned it around overnight. I think
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: they were eleven and one. So I think a lot
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: of transfers, got a lot of transfers, but they were
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: people that that's with them. Yeah, and they were.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: No cut sport.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: What do you mean they can't just play?
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: No, But like they have one hundred people on the
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: roster right right, but the.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Guys that aren't on scholarship have to try out right
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: a cut Like didn't you watch Rudy No, it's wrong
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: with you.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: I don't remember. But like some high schools, football is.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: No cut, no in high school. But you would never
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: get this, You would never get a hundred players.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: And like colleges don't have junior varsity, like you can
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: always play.
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: On Yeah, the younger kids play JV and freshman.
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: I think Bryce Barringer got a couple of times from
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: Michigan State. Are you went? And he was like trying
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: to catch on as this photographer.
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: I think you're right, here's a team photography until he
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: won back the kicking job.
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: You were correct, I did, That's crazy? C did that story?
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: Alex is right.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: Kylon Pembroke has a little overrunder based on the game
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: this week, May passing yards two hundred and seventy five
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: point five overrunder, that's high under. What's his he had?
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: What to eighty something? Is his best game?
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I go wonder, but it'd be great
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: to see him.
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: If it goes over, that means that that guy's email
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: they're down and he's just checking it and chucking.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: It, or he's having a great game. Why do we
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: have to be negative?
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: Yeah, could just be a shootout and.
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: Just Murray passing yards to fifty and a half.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: That's a more realistic number. I'm going to say that's
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: pretty close.
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: I'll go respectfully under.
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: But yeah, i'll say under two slightly.
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: But if you know, if Connor gets going, then they
- 1:17:30Speaker 6: don't really.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: Yeah, two fifty, that's that's a good I think that's
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: a good Kyler Murray gain.
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: They want to run the ball combine QB rushing yards
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: one hundred and a hay.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: Oh I'll take the over.
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: Yeahs a number.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: Okay like that, I'm going to take the under. Chad
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: Ryland field goals two and a.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: Hay take the under on that.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, probably going so the defense doesn't do his job,
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: he's going to miss him.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: Well, why do you now? Why are you negative?
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: Because he's not gonna he's not going to kick three
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: field goals and you automatically, so that means the defense
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: didn't do its job. How about they didn't have three field.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: Goal attempts, were only punting?
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Well, I thought they had a punt seven times.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: No, they move the ball, but defense gets stout and
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: they don't let him in the end zone. They have
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: to settle for three.
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: But you're automatically assuming that they're going to move the ball.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: I am okay, you're probably right.
- 1:18:21Speaker 13: Uh.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: Patriot's turnovers one and a hay that they turned it over? Yeah,
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Patriots turnovers thunder?
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go under. Well, wait a minute, something.
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: They caused them or they committed.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Them, committed them come under under one and a hey?
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so they said they only do it once? Okay, pop,
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: maybe none at all? How's that all?
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Poke and Baker receiving yards twenty and a hay under
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: under and uh, John Baker's concussed.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: Apparently, what did I so, Mike?
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: You so this protocol?
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: This is true? Like, So Evan came in and did
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: his practice update yesterday and told us that Marcus Jones
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: and Javon Baker were the only two players not seen
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: at practice. He also talked about all the masks and
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: how this is clearly something running through the team. We
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: found out later that Marcus Jones is one of those
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: guys that's dealing with something. He was listed as as
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: an illness, Jayvon Baker, Mike was listed as having a concussion.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: He's supposedly in concussion protocol. Reportedly, Yeah, how do you
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: think that happened?
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: I don't know, That's what I like, you know, Friday,
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: how you get concussed in your week off? I don't know.
- 1:19:28Speaker 7: I don't see him on the slopes.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:19:30Speaker 6: I was wearing a helmet's hopefully you was too, But
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: It's weird.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: I just you know, and it's it's just not good,
- 1:19:36Speaker 6: like and I don't, you know, I don't want to speculate,
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: like maybe it happened at practice or you know, maybe
- 1:19:40Speaker 6: it was something here. But all season long we talked
- 1:19:42Speaker 6: about these receivers like, you know, get with the program,
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: guys like be a professional, and you know, you kind
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: of start to drift into territory of what was he
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: doing over the break, like you know, was he, you know,
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: put himself in harm's way or what. So maybe we'll
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: get some clarification on it. But it's just this last thing.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: That bakers stuff like this, I'm skiing, is wearing a
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: helmet mandatory? Now?
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: Not really, but I think most people did. I did it.
- 1:20:07Speaker 13: I did.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: I never wore it. Never, I never did. I wouldn't
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: if I did ski.
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: No I did, but it keeps your head worm though.
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: Now it was nice.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: I never wore a helmet. I did. I explained some things.
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: My mom just put the fear of good into me.
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: When the actress from the Parent Trap, Tasha Richardson is
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: my mom just drilled that story into my brain wrapped.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: And like the few times I ride a bike now
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: I don't wear a helmet.
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: No bike is different than skiing.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Well, yeah you're not going as fast, but yeah, I
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: just I just be a hero.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: I just wear even when I go for a ride with.
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: Because the last time I snowboarded, I was like, I
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: think that might have been my last time snowboard I.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: Felt good the last time I snowboarded. She thinks it
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: might have been the last time she snowboarded.
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: Because you were sure.
- 1:20:52Speaker 8: You're still years ago, but it was one of the
- 1:20:54Speaker 8: days where it's it had just rained, so you're you're
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: snowboarding on glass.
- 1:20:58Speaker 7: Fun and I had bruises all of myself, looked like
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: I got a hit biker.
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: I had a good time.
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: I just like the you know, the logic of that.
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: The last time I did something was I think the
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: last time.
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: I did it never again.
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: It was it was the last time.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: You're not gonna go anymore, right, I don't know if
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: snowboard forever, Okay, I apologize, Oh yeah.
- 1:21:21Speaker 7: Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying, Like, I don't know
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: if I can handle it anymore.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: I was with the kids the wo time, so I
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: was mostly on the smaller slopes just watching them and like,
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: you know, God, holding my breath every time they started
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: getting speed. But you know, we got to the end
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: of the day and my wife was like, do you
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: want to go and just you know, do a run yourself,
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: go on, you know, don't have to worry about And
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: I was like, you know what, I made it through
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: the day without getting hurt. I'm just gonna call it
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: right now, like that is where your brain goes.
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: Broke a rib playing beat up, playing playing catch all
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: beach fair enough, Like, like, I think I've had like
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: four or five major injuries in my life, and I
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: would say eighty.
- 1:21:51Speaker 6: Like at least three out of the five have just
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: been screwing around with my kids, not anything major injuries.
- 1:21:57Speaker 6: I tore my meniscus just screwing around them like on
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: the rug, like you know in twenty nineteen, Like that's painful.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: Oh, it was bad.
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: It was clicking around for like a year.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: Was that before broke for us?
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: Just before Yeah, twenty seventeen was right after we moved back,
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: screw around in the living room.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: I might have had an answers, but then you saw
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: me jumping on the beach. I like, I, did you
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: broke a rib my rib up?
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: Yeah, your friend?
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: That was on my watch.
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: Kids And even this shoulder thing, I had to go.
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: My kid had a had a magnet fishing. The magnet
- 1:22:23Speaker 6: fell off in the little brook and he's like all upsets.
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: A hockey player.
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: So Dad's got to crawl down.
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: Into like the brook to get the magnet, and like,
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: my shoulder got wrenched. So that was like six months.
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: So you know, you know how it is when you
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: get old, everything takes so much longer.
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: To heal.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: And I'm still feeling my ankle from Brady night when
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: I fell on the stairs before. Forget that I did.
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: It was bad.
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: I haven't laughed at me.
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: He just like went Evan can't be the one to laugh.
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: It was pretty Germany.
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: I don't know whenever somebody like falls or does something.
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: He fell off a scooter.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: Oh that's right, Yeah, that's right. I remember when.
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: Somebody like falls after looking at their phone. I feel
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: like it's you can make fun of them. For some reason,
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: it gives you the okay, like you were looking at
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: your phone, idiot, Like of course.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: You yeah, there's a saying in my faith, like that's
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: what you got.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: But he's had his helmet on when he got concuss
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: last year.
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: Skiing, really he goes hard. Though he goes hard, he's
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: probably trying to press the girl.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: Well, he's one of those rich kids, you know, like
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: he's probably like an excellent skier, you know, he like owns.
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: But he's only gone like three times.
- 1:23:21Speaker 8: People around here grew up going to like Killington and
- 1:23:24Speaker 8: he's like, oh, I'm an aspen in the French.
- 1:23:26Speaker 15: House was my entire life.
- 1:23:28Speaker 5: I've never used the helmet once.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: I can tell.
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it also explains a lot horror.
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: What's that in your head? Matt?
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: You should knock on wood right now, knock on wood
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: right now. I don't want to see you get hurt.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: I hope I get hurt.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Oh my god, let's see if it happens.
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: What is wrong with you?
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: Children? You have young children.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Evan's here taking off his jacket and from the cold
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: it was raining, okay, has turned.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: All right, Evan, As I thought you were vampid till
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: like late in.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: It was a little chill out there today. Yeah, little chili, windy, chilly, yeah, raw.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: That's how really?
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: So soon it rained like but it was sixty degrees yes.
- 1:24:21Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, no not today. But some good news my
- 1:24:25Speaker 14: Marcus Jones back at practice today. No mask less masks
- 1:24:30Speaker 14: around the locker room today. So Fred, if you want
- 1:24:35Speaker 14: to get back on the upset train. Looks like we're
- 1:24:38Speaker 14: we're heading the right direction from a health standpoint about
- 1:24:41Speaker 14: Jon Baker. So Marcus Jones, I'm getting there. Marcus Jones back.
- 1:24:46Speaker 14: Javon Baker is still absent from practice with that concussion.
- 1:24:50Speaker 14: We also did not see Jacquelin Roy and Jalen Hawkins.
- 1:24:55Speaker 14: Uh so two more new apps.
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: In the center.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: Yeah, although Roy is on the injured list right, Yeah, he.
- 1:25:02Speaker 14: Has a foot foot injury, Jaylen Hawkins and unknown So.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: Pat I mean shells today, I'm assuming yes. And did
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: you see anything more than just the stretching.
- 1:25:16Speaker 14: We did briefly see one period of positional drills, but
- 1:25:21Speaker 14: it was not interesting in the interesting There was no
- 1:25:25Speaker 14: thing going on.
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: There was no nothing schematical to break down.
- 1:25:30Speaker 14: No offensive line combinations were shown. They actually they caught
- 1:25:34Speaker 14: onto us. They moved the offensive line, by the way,
- 1:25:38Speaker 14: because on Monday they had them in the corner where
- 1:25:40Speaker 14: we were, and so people are literally taking cell phone
- 1:25:43Speaker 14: videos of the offensive line.
- 1:25:46Speaker 6: They shouldn't allow that from.
- 1:25:47Speaker 14: Like ten feet away. And this week they put the
- 1:25:52Speaker 14: offensive line back in the other corner where they normally are.
- 1:25:57Speaker 14: But the entrance is different now because of the construction.
- 1:26:01Speaker 14: So we were on the total opposite side of the
- 1:26:04Speaker 14: field now to the offensive line, so that there wasn't
- 1:26:08Speaker 14: a great advantage point to the line.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: Cold and windy. Yes, were there some media members who
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: were under dressed, and because of that not happy.
- 1:26:18Speaker 6: I would say.
- 1:26:18Speaker 14: The grousing today from that standpoint was that we had
- 1:26:22Speaker 14: to we went out for stretching, took attendance, then had
- 1:26:26Speaker 14: to go back out for the second period and then
- 1:26:30Speaker 14: back in for the third period, and it was it
- 1:26:34Speaker 14: was pretty chilly out there, so there was a lot
- 1:26:36Speaker 14: of people that were like, you know, can we streamline this?
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: We have to do all this and we don't even
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: get Chick fil A today, you know, So my thoughts exactly, Yes,
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: And what's the scuttle butt among your peers when it
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: comes to Bill Belichick to UNC? People happy for people
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: saying it's not gonna work, people surprised, what's the.
- 1:26:58Speaker 14: Tenor I wouldn't say anybody is happy or like in
- 1:27:03Speaker 14: any direction. I think people are pretty indifferent to it
- 1:27:06Speaker 14: from that perspective.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: But by thinking of changing and moving down to UNC
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: to cover the tart.
- 1:27:11Speaker 14: No, definitely not, but I definitely think that's how that works.
- 1:27:15Speaker 14: I think the number one thing that a lot of
- 1:27:18Speaker 14: people are just talking about now is who's he taking
- 1:27:20Speaker 14: with him, both you know, guys that are currently not
- 1:27:24Speaker 14: employed by the Patriots, but also people that are employed
- 1:27:27Speaker 14: by the Patriots. I'm sure you guys talked about already.
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: So probably trying to take players too.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: We know, it's not afraid, right, Yeah, Jugger has a
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: year of eligibility, come on back.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you for taking that the way it was meant.
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: Yeah, you never played d one a right.
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:27:47Speaker 14: So there was a lot of talk about that, and
- 1:27:49Speaker 14: you know what, will we all assume that Matt Patricia
- 1:27:52Speaker 14: will have a roll on the staff, So what will
- 1:27:55Speaker 14: the role be? Joe Judge, Uh, cam A Cord's name
- 1:28:00Speaker 14: even popped up. He's on the Giant staff, which was
- 1:28:03Speaker 14: news to me. And uh, and then the guys here,
- 1:28:07Speaker 14: you know, Brian Pellegrino, you know those guys.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: I mean, I I would think though that you're in
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: the NFL as a position coach, Why would you go
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: to college to be a position coach? Yeah?
- 1:28:19Speaker 14: I kind of feel the same way. I guess maybe
- 1:28:21Speaker 14: if you, you know, we were trying to kind of
- 1:28:23Speaker 14: talking about earlier, like if you were given a technically
- 1:28:26Speaker 14: a promotion, like let's say, Brian Belichick is the past
- 1:28:29Speaker 14: game coordinator at North Carolina as well as the safety's coach,
- 1:28:34Speaker 14: you know, maybe that would be the bump that would
- 1:28:38Speaker 14: draw you into that. But I agree, I think it is.
- 1:28:41Speaker 14: Actually I think it's kind of a demotion to go
- 1:28:43Speaker 14: from Patriots to New NC position.
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: Coach, right, So yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: I can I ask you a question of the group.
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: I just I noticed on AVP. I don't know how
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: you guys felt about AVP, but when asked about Cole Strange,
- 1:28:56Speaker 6: I felt a little bit more uncertain of how they're
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: gonna get Cole Strange involved. It seemed like he was
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: talking about the snaps and you know, some of the
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: stuff we talked about yesterday was strange. It's just I
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: got a vibe from Mayo yesterday that yeah, they're gonna
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: figure out a way to work them in this weekend.
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: But with AVP today, the vibe I got was like,
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: we're going to try to figure it out, but it
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: doesn't seem like they know exactly how they're going to
- 1:29:17Speaker 6: get him in and get him evolved.
- 1:29:19Speaker 14: Yeah, I would agree. I you know, we were talking
- 1:29:21Speaker 14: a little bit about it. I feel like the it's
- 1:29:25Speaker 14: kind of dicey to switch the center on a quarterback.
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: You hear a lot about that.
- 1:29:31Speaker 14: Sort of relationship and the exchange obviously, you know quarterback
- 1:29:35Speaker 14: center exchange and the communication. And I actually talked to
- 1:29:39Speaker 14: Cole Strange in the locker room a little bit today
- 1:29:41Speaker 14: and he said the hardest part is that he's got
- 1:29:43Speaker 14: to make all the line calls, you know, and that
- 1:29:45Speaker 14: that's been you know, he snapped, he said, in college
- 1:29:48Speaker 14: quite a bit, just as an emergency center in case
- 1:29:51Speaker 14: they needed him to play center at UT Chattanooga. But
- 1:29:55Speaker 14: now he has to know all the protections and know
- 1:29:57Speaker 14: all the calls and stuff like that. And he said
- 1:30:00Speaker 14: that that's been the hardest part, is studying and getting
- 1:30:03Speaker 14: up to speed on all of that. So I don't
- 1:30:05Speaker 14: necessarily think it's a great idea to be messing with
- 1:30:08Speaker 14: the center. It's not like Ben Brown's been horrible that
- 1:30:12Speaker 14: it's a move that it needs to be made out
- 1:30:14Speaker 14: of necessity.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: So is there a chance that he doesn't play?
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: I think so there is. I think there is. I
- 1:30:21Speaker 6: just wonder if they're kind of if they're kind of
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: have their shortening up Ben Brown's leaf, and they're like,
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: all right, if if he you know, if it starts
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: looking bad out there with him and he hits a rut,
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: let's let's get him in.
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: I know, like he's been there long enough. If it's
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: gonna look that bad, it already would have No. I
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: don't know enough. I don't know, all right, just before
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: we get to the pics. I just want to remind
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: everyone if you want to sign up for the newsletter,
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: there's a new way to do it. I'm still getting

- 1:31:39Speaker 10: We gotta little rock the week, we gotta wants to
- 1:31:43Speaker 10: spread again. This is the sound until chill makes a
- 1:31:50Speaker 10: real one.
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: It's that sun.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: Not bad.
- 1:32:01Speaker 7: I like that.
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: I think that's the best one, the best one.
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: So what is that genre?
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: Is that?
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: Like?
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Little classic rock?
- 1:32:07Speaker 6: Classic rock? All right?
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: Now, did you write the words good it's a little Aerosmith, Yeah,
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: You know who Aerosmith is? Did I use that right?
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: Do you know that the first time Aerosmith played at
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: U mass they get boot off the state?
- 1:32:25Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: Really well, I did not know that. Were you there,
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: little rock Trivia?
- 1:32:29Speaker 6: I figured it out.
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: Were you there?
- 1:32:31Speaker 5: No?
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: I wasn't. There could have been, but I wasn't. All right,
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: let's get into it, Paul, what happened last week? All right?
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: So pretty good for everybody. Mike and Evan eleven and two. Wow,
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: Alex and Paul ten and three, Fred nine and four,
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: So everybody was pretty good. Like I kind of figured
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: with the spread. Fred and Paul ten two and one, WOA,
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: Evan nine three and one, Mike and Alex six six
- 1:32:59Speaker 4: and one.
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: So the boys here we go.
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: Overall, Evan's lead just keeps growing every week one forty
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: four and sixty four, follow up by Alex one thirty
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: nine and sixty nine.
- 1:33:15Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: Nice, I am in third, one thirty six and seventy two,
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: Mike won thirty five and seventy three, and Fred one
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: thirty three and seventy five. However, when you separate the
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: men from the.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: Boards, that's right, that's right.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: Evan remains at the top one seventeen eighty seven and four,
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: followed by Mike and Fred one fifteen eighty nine and four,
- 1:33:44Speaker 4: Paul won fourteen ninety and four, and Alex one oh
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: nine ninety five and four. Okay, so just a quick
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: update on the quote, folks. This is your lock of
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: the week end quote pick in parentheses picks because he
- 1:34:02Speaker 4: made two this week. Fred was one and one last
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: week he accurately predicted that the Carolina Panthers would cover
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: the spread at Philadelphia, so he wins that one. And
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: despite his courageous pick, thank you, Paul, courage, courage, he
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: picked the Chargers to beat the Chiefs, and that did
- 1:34:25Speaker 4: not happen, outright, and that did not happen, So you
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: would now want you one and two was onto something? Right,
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: you're one and two. Since I've been began tracking your
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: lock of the weeks, that was onto something, Walks of
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: the week, I guess I should say.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: All right, all right, So we start with tonight on
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: Prime Video eight fifteen. The seven and six ROMs are
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: at the six and seven forty nine.
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: Ers Niners by three. Big game, Big, big, Big game
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: could be an elimination game. Yeah, certainly for the Niners.
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: Hard for me to go against the ROMs after watching
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: them just go up and down the field on the
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: Bills there last week. I just so impressed by pookin Akua,
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: Like I saw what he did here, and then he
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: just keeps doing it every week. Every week there's crazy catches.
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: He's such a load to bring down.
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: I love him.
- 1:35:11Speaker 6: I'll take the Rams and I'll take.
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: Those points please wow.
- 1:35:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I will also take the Rams upset.
- 1:35:20Speaker 14: I too, am gonna take the Rams to pull off
- 1:35:22Speaker 14: the upset tonight. I just think they're playing better football
- 1:35:24Speaker 14: right now than the n The Niners have been really
- 1:35:26Speaker 14: up and down.
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna pick the Rams just because I like
- 1:35:30Speaker 4: them and I don't like the Niners. I'm gonna I'm
- 1:35:33Speaker 4: gonna pick.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: The hard I'm gonna pick the Rams because I think
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: they're gonna win.
- 1:35:36Speaker 4: Uh come, Yeah, I gotta tell you I did not
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: see that coming really, that we all picked the Rams. Yeah,
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: Thursday night game, usually the home teams win those.
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: Yep, recently bias maybe probably Yeah. One o'clock on Sunday
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: on Fox, the five and eight Cowboys, fresh off a
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: win against the incorrect. They lost. The five and eight Cowboys,
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: fresh off of loss, are up against the three and
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: ten Panthers team nobody wants to play.
- 1:36:07Speaker 4: Uh, and evidently Vegas agrees with that notion, because the
- 1:36:10Speaker 4: Panthers are a three point favorite.
- 1:36:13Speaker 6: Wow?
- 1:36:13Speaker 11: Three?
- 1:36:14Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: What they in the big houses? They call this a
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: dog with a teeth, dog with teeth?
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: I would get that in the next updates definition for that.
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: It's a it's an underdog that is playing really well
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: and has the chance for the upset. It's a dog
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: with teeth.
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: So you know they're favored by three. I'm just gonna
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: repeat that.
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: What's that?
- 1:36:38Speaker 4: Carolina by three? I just thought I want you to
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: know what you're picking.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: Well, I think overall they're a bad a team with
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: a bad record. Yes, so they're called they're considered a
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: dog with teeth.
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: Okay, well this this is a game, you know, for
- 1:36:50Speaker 6: Patriots fans to watch with the draft order and everything.
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: Carolina and the Giants two teams above them. Uh, I'm
- 1:36:58Speaker 6: kind of torn on this one guy.
- 1:36:59Speaker 14: Carolina is not above them?
- 1:37:01Speaker 6: Oh sorry, did I misspeak?
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: Vegas and Vegas Giants? I thought above by they pick
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: after them. But you're probably sure, I did.
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: No, I just agree with you. You know, I'm gonna
- 1:37:17Speaker 6: go Dallas. I'm gonna go Dallas plus three.
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: Yeah, it's really hard to pick the Panthers.
- 1:37:26Speaker 6: So they got a little spice spies, did you guys?
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: See Zavier will get talking about hunting and dropping the touchdown,
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: hunting and cooking raccoon.
- 1:37:35Speaker 14: Oh no, if his play is as good as his talk,
- 1:37:40Speaker 14: then he's going to be an all pro.
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: So that guy.
- 1:37:43Speaker 14: I am hesitant to pick the Panthers as the favorite.
- 1:37:46Speaker 14: I think that we're weary of that a little bit,
- 1:37:49Speaker 14: but I'm gonna do it. I just that Cowboys team
- 1:37:53Speaker 14: is just in a tough spot right now with all
- 1:37:55Speaker 14: their injuries, So I'm going to take the Panthers.
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: I agree with Evan that it's hard to envision picking
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: up a team that's favored with three wins, but I'm
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: going to do it. I think they've played better. I
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: think they can keep it going. We'll take Carolina.
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: Listen to the Sharps. Carolina wins outright one o'clock at CBS.
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: The twelve and one Chiefs are at the three and
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: ten Browns.
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: Kansas City by four.
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: All right, I'm gonna finally do it. I'm gonna take
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: Kansas City to win, but I'm gonna take the points
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: for Cleveland. I haven't done it all year, and I'm
- 1:38:32Speaker 6: finally making the switch. I've been bitten too many times
- 1:38:35Speaker 6: on it. Hopefully Jameis Winston God grants him his wishes
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: stop throwing pick six It did not.
- 1:38:42Speaker 7: I'm gonna pick the Chiefs to win and to cover
- 1:38:45Speaker 7: their first spread in a minute.
- 1:38:49Speaker 14: Yeah, I feel like Vegas. So with this, lion is
- 1:38:51Speaker 14: catching up to the fact that the Chiefs are not covering.
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: You take the words out of it.
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: Were only favored by four last week, and they were
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: at home last and that.
- 1:38:59Speaker 14: Was a real game though they played the Chargers. He's
- 1:39:01Speaker 14: a good team, right, this is not I would say
- 1:39:04Speaker 14: the Chiefs both ways in this game. Jamis against that defense.
- 1:39:08Speaker 14: I think he's gonna throw three pick sixes and this
- 1:39:10Speaker 14: is going to be a round.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: And I have ridden the train for seven straight weeks
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: and I am jumping off because of Jamis Winston. I'm scared,
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: like I can't pick up any ground on Evan because
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: I keep agreeing with him. Kansas City both ways.
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Kansas City both ways, Like Kevin said, Las Vegas
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: finally gets the message. One o'clock CBS. Uh, the six
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: and seven Dolphins are at the eight and five Texans.
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: Sneaky good game here, Houston by three? Three are the
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: Texans a paper tiger, might be. They're struggling. They have
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: not had a good year. Their offense has not been
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: anywhere near as good as it was last year. Bobby
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: slowerk maybe the uh, maybe the pants are a little
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: too loose. They got to tighten up the pants a
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: little bit.
- 1:39:59Speaker 13: Uh.
- 1:40:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it was kind of I watched the end of
- 1:40:01Speaker 6: that Miami game. It was, you know, weird kind of
- 1:40:04Speaker 6: struggling and then at the end and overtime they just
- 1:40:05Speaker 6: kind of Uh so, I'm.
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: Gonna take you get johnno involved, Yeah exactly.
- 1:40:09Speaker 6: Can you believe, like what like this is so weird.
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: It's like a second in tight end receptions or something
- 1:40:15Speaker 6: this year?
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: Like, yeah, he was good everywhere he's been except.
- 1:40:20Speaker 6: He's got ty kicking himself. Give me Miami justice for
- 1:40:24Speaker 6: john Miami, Miami literation.
- 1:40:27Speaker 14: There where justice for Johnny.
- 1:40:31Speaker 6: It's good.
- 1:40:33Speaker 7: I'm going to take the Dolphins upset too. I don't
- 1:40:36Speaker 7: know why speaking to me, I don't know.
- 1:40:39Speaker 14: I agree with everything Paul said about the Texans and
- 1:40:43Speaker 14: Bobby Slowik, who I don't know if he would have
- 1:40:45Speaker 14: gotten a job last year, but he talked about it's
- 1:40:49Speaker 14: an example of like you strike when the iron's hot, right,
- 1:40:52Speaker 14: you know.
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: C J.
- 1:40:53Speaker 14: Strouds had a year or two slump a little bit.
- 1:40:55Speaker 14: But I'm still going to take the Texans in this game.
- 1:40:58Speaker 14: I just do not believe in the Miami Dolphins.
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:41:01Speaker 14: I don't believe in them yet. And I think that
- 1:41:03Speaker 14: the Texans pass rush is going to get after Tua
- 1:41:06Speaker 14: in this game.
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm taking the Texans too. Huge game from Miami.
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: They just their defense was absolutely wretched last week, and
- 1:41:15Speaker 4: I think this is a get right game for the Texans.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: Yea offense. I agree that Texans win the game. One
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: o'clock Fox three and ten Jets at the three and
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: ten Jaguars. So good to see the Jets losing overtime.
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: That was fun. The Jets are a road favorite by
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: three yikes.
- 1:41:39Speaker 6: Mac Jones trying to put up another win. This is
- 1:41:42Speaker 6: another tough one. It's like hard to get the end
- 1:41:43Speaker 6: of the season. These bad teams and you just don't.
- 1:41:45Speaker 4: Know what you don't know who's gonna play left, who's
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: gonna play Who's gonna sit out?
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: So that's what I'm gonna what's the term, fred in parlance?
- 1:41:53Speaker 6: Split the baby?
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: Is that what it is?
- 1:41:54Speaker 6: I think I'm gonna take you know, I'm gonna take
- 1:41:56Speaker 6: the Jets, but I'm gonna take the hook for Jacksonville.
- 1:41:58Speaker 6: I think it's a it's a close one Jets Jets.
- 1:42:05Speaker 14: I too, am going to take the Jets. I'm gonna
- 1:42:09Speaker 14: take the Jets both ways in this game. I think
- 1:42:11Speaker 14: this is one of those games where the Jets just,
- 1:42:14Speaker 14: you know, just have a good one for the Giffer,
- 1:42:16Speaker 14: you know, like a good, a good, feel feel good
- 1:42:20Speaker 14: win for the Jet happened.
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: I think they had that last week and Aaron Rodgers
- 1:42:25Speaker 4: and Avanta Adams screwed it up going outside and out
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: of bounds. I'm gonna take Jacksonville.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: I said last week that the Jags game was a
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: raw ra game, and that was right. What does that
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: mean that they played hard for you know, Lawrence like
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: he's out, we gotta we gotta come.
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: You think that was an example of that.
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: Yeah, they played hard.
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: They were awful. Did you see the game? No, it
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: was one of the worst games of the whole season
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: ten to six.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. It was awful, but they played defensively, they
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: played well.
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: It was a rob It was two bad teams playing.
- 1:42:58Speaker 4: It was a kind of hit each other with pillows.
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: They banded together. But I am going to pick the Jets.
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: I think, okay in a sorority house, but not so
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: much on the end.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: Has worn off. So the Jets went.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Wow, Yeah, strange bedfellows, Fred taking the Jets.
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: It's like, there's gonna be a Bill Belichick press conference
- 1:43:16Speaker 6: at two o'clock.
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: Time, and they're gonna carry it lives.
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: In all seriousness, you don't think they should. No, really no,
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: you don't think there's any interest in Boston carry it live.
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: You don't need there's any interest in Bill Belichick.
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: Oh but do they carry males press conferences live?
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: I will guarantee you they carried his introductory press conference live. Yeah,
- 1:43:42Speaker 4: but I mean, come on, they're not gonna do his
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: Thursday press conference like you know when they're playing Georgia
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: Tech or It's poor to me and I think you're
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: out of your mind? Do you have any like reporting
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: sense at all? News one o'clock on Fox the eighth unbelievable.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: The eight and five Commanders are at the five and
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: eight Saints.
- 1:44:02Speaker 4: Washington by seven and a half.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: That's poor to me.
- 1:44:07Speaker 6: Washington picked up kJ Osbourne, so.
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: Watch out championship, a little boost for their offense, said
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: Washington by seven, seven and a half, seven and a Hey.
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna take Washington. I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:44:17Speaker 6: I think they roll.
- 1:44:19Speaker 14: Wash Wash So this is not Derek Carr, right, because
- 1:44:22Speaker 14: he's like got seventeen injuries. Yeah, so that's why they
- 1:44:27Speaker 14: they The fact that they almost lost to the Giants
- 1:44:30Speaker 14: last week says it all to me for the New
- 1:44:32Speaker 14: Orleans sayings. So I'm taking Commanders both ways.
- 1:44:35Speaker 4: I will take Washington both ways. I was poised to
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: take the hook and Evan reminded me that Derek Carr
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: will be out, So I'll take Washington both ways.
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: Focus everybody else. Oh, it's a trap game. That's your
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: mouse trap, trap door coming down on Washington.
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: Is this a lock?
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: This is your underdog cover lock of the week. So Washington,
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: Washington wins, but New Orleans covers.
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: Okay, so there you go.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: Would you call that a courageous pick?
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: No. Seven and a half points spread not a not
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: as courageous as you know, ticking, you know, a division
- 1:45:14Speaker 4: team to beat another one, okay, but courageous the mouse,
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: courageous nonetheless, trap game, trap game, trap door. One o'clock CBS.
- 1:45:24Speaker 4: The eight and five ray Havens are at the two
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: and eleven Giants. So this is the biggest spread that
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: I can recall for a road favorite, Ravens by sixteen sixteen.
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: Tommy DeVito, right, it's back in there. Yeah, we'll definitely
- 1:45:41Speaker 6: gonna take Baltimore to win. And yeah, I don't think
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: Tommy Dvido's got it in him, but god do I
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: I'm so torn right now on this one. You know what,
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: I'm gonna lay the points sixteen sixteen, Craig, yep, lay
- 1:45:56Speaker 6: them all right.
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 1:45:58Speaker 14: You're getting that sharpie on the on the on the wood.
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: No, I'm just very like.
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: An O seven Patriots like spread sixteen.
- 1:46:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't like it. It's scary Ravens win.
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: Split the baby.
- 1:46:14Speaker 7: I'm split the baby.
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: I'm with her.
- 1:46:18Speaker 14: Yeah, I don't like picking spreads that big.
- 1:46:22Speaker 4: I don't either, and I don't like laying a lot
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: of points with Baltimore. The defense has been so bad.
- 1:46:26Speaker 4: But I'm gonna do it just because that Giants offense
- 1:46:28Speaker 4: has been so bad and if Devido's playing, it could
- 1:46:31Speaker 4: be even worse. I didn't know he was playing. But
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: I'll take Baltimore both ways.
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: All right. So this is obviously a spread to bring
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: in the New York money. Yeah, but the Sharps know
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: what they're talking about. The Ravens cover this game. I'm
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: not saying it's a lock. But the Ravens cover, and
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: you think, oh, sixteen, they're gonna have to generate a
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: lot of points, not necessarily if it's sixteen nothing. So
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: watch the Ravens cover. Watch uh one o'clock on Fox.
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: The five and eight Bengals are at the three and
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: ten Titans, Cincinnati by five.
- 1:47:08Speaker 6: Geez, I'm realizing here on my picks, I've picked all
- 1:47:10Speaker 6: road teams so far, and I can't I can't not
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: do it here too. I'm gonna take Cincinnati and I'm
- 1:47:16Speaker 6: gonna lay the six. So I got all road games
- 1:47:18Speaker 6: going here.
- 1:47:19Speaker 14: Yeah, since he I think they cover, Yeah, I got
- 1:47:24Speaker 14: Cincinnati both ways. There, there's gonna be a nice think
- 1:47:29Speaker 14: piece done on this Bengals team at the end of
- 1:47:31Speaker 14: the year of how Joe Burrow is probably the MVP
- 1:47:34Speaker 14: of the league on a crappy team, and I can't
- 1:47:36Speaker 14: wait to read that.
- 1:47:37Speaker 7: And he's gonna play mad this week.
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: Maybe I think the bigger piece is why does the
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: why do the Bengals start so slow? And what do
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: they need to do to over closed starts? Do they
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: need a coaching change? Yeah?
- 1:47:47Speaker 14: So it starts, bad defense, a bad offensive line play
- 1:47:52Speaker 14: a lot of the time to spend a week.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: Joe Burrow should ask for his immediate release.
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: There go, I will take Cincinnati as well.
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: Both ways, I am too. As much as I hated
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: Cincinnati is my most hated team.
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: He's taken Cincinnati and the Jets and the same and
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: I have to do it.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: I have to do it. This is crunch time coming down.
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: It's the three quarter pole on CBS. Oh no, yes, no, yes, okay,
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: so CBS. I get a little confused because people one
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: o'clock game, you.
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: Didn't skip over the Patriots and going to but you're
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: going to right? But you know, Paul, I did I could?
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: I could?
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: I sense the trepidation in your voice.
- 1:48:34Speaker 3: Yeah, the time change screwed me up.
- 1:48:37Speaker 14: Same, but it was a weird scene four twenty.
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it really was.
- 1:48:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:48:42Speaker 3: But for on CBS, the six and seven Colts are
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: where guess ware in Denver against the eight and five Broncos.
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: It's a holiday season, so Denver has to play at
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: home because the network's love seeing the rocky mountains with
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: the snow in December.
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: Do we have a lot of home games abnormally like
- 1:49:04Speaker 4: in October when the foliage.
- 1:49:06Speaker 6: Is oh good?
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: We know we we had like three home games this year.
- 1:49:13Speaker 4: Sorry, Denver is favored by four. This is an absolutely
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: huge game in the wildcard picture. By the way, Indianapolis
- 1:49:20Speaker 4: has a shot because they have a pretty bad schedule,
- 1:49:23Speaker 4: but they would have to win this game.
- 1:49:24Speaker 6: I think, Fred, how do you feel about them putting
- 1:49:26Speaker 6: the altitude on their helmets? You know it's like five thousand.
- 1:49:29Speaker 6: They got that little thing, and I would do that.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: Why not?
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: It's just a reminder.
- 1:49:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a weird flex.
- 1:49:33Speaker 6: It's really high, but it's.
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: Something it's a traditional flex that I think I would
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:49:39Speaker 4: We play up in the air that we were there
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: last year.
- 1:49:43Speaker 14: It's fine.
- 1:49:45Speaker 4: When you're walking like a helmet.
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: They should have like a picture of a rotary like
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: you might have to drive, So think about that.
- 1:49:53Speaker 6: Good luck.
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: Try to negotiate this. Forget about your altitude. We have rotaries,
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: uh and wicked bad draft.
- 1:50:01Speaker 6: Right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go bow Knicks at home.
- 1:50:04Speaker 6: There's a four and a half four four uh, and
- 1:50:06Speaker 6: I'll lay the four.
- 1:50:10Speaker 14: Yeah. I'm gonna take Denver both ways in this game
- 1:50:12Speaker 14: as well. Bo Nicks put his stats next to Mac
- 1:50:16Speaker 14: Jones's rookie year stats and they're like identical. It's very
- 1:50:19Speaker 14: interesting comparison.
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: Except he's actually contributing to the wins.
- 1:50:23Speaker 4: I think he stinks. I want take Denver to win,
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: much like I thought Mac Jonestock. I will take in
- 1:50:30Speaker 4: D two cover. He has played well in all seriousness,
- 1:50:32Speaker 4: Bonnicks is played, especially the last few weeks.
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna take Broncos both ways in this game.
- 1:50:37Speaker 3: Congratulations Sean Payton. Uh, CBS the ten and three Bills
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: against the twelve and one Lions.
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: So this we had how many one o'clock games in
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: a row, and now we get one four o'clock game
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: and we have playing opposite the two best games of
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: the week.
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: Good point.
- 1:50:59Speaker 4: Paul Buffalo is at Detroit and Detroit is favored by
- 1:51:02Speaker 4: two and a half.
- 1:51:05Speaker 6: I'm tempted. I'm tempted by Buffalo. I feel like Detroit
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: maybe could could use another loss here, but I'm gonna
- 1:51:10Speaker 6: stick with the home team. I'm going to take Detroit Lions,
- 1:51:13Speaker 6: and I will lay the two points two and a half.
- 1:51:15Speaker 7: Me too, playing it safe, home favorite Detroit, Detroit.
- 1:51:22Speaker 14: We're going to take the upset in this game. We're
- 1:51:23Speaker 14: gonna take the Buffalo Bills to win this game. I
- 1:51:27Speaker 14: think this is the game. Josh Allen, MVP. We really
- 1:51:30Speaker 14: cement the case this week, and when we go back
- 1:51:34Speaker 14: to the voting in January, we're going to say that
- 1:51:36Speaker 14: this was when it happened.
- 1:51:37Speaker 4: You really think I'm gonna take Buffalo two. I figured
- 1:51:41Speaker 4: i'd be by myself on this one. I do have
- 1:51:44Speaker 4: a fear that the Bills could get boat raced by
- 1:51:46Speaker 4: that running game, because I don't think the Bills defense
- 1:51:48Speaker 4: is all that good and I don't think they're good
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: at all against the run. But I think it's seven games.
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: How many games in a row is the Bills scored
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: thirty plus? I think they keep that going and Detroit
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: won't be able to keep up.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: This to me is the Super Bowl preview. Oh my
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: prediction is Bill's Lions in the Super Bowl in a
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: doozy of a game.
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: That's interesting that the window closed on his Super Bowl
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: prediction pick bold choice, I do you know what I
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: owe you an apology? That is a courageous pick.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: However, even though the Bills lose this game, they make
- 1:52:25Speaker 3: the Super Bowl. But the Lions. Yeah, the Lions win
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: the game. Like Paul said, I think they're, like, you worry,
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: we're twelve and one, but they're still like competing with
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: the Eagles for that top slot in the NFC, So
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: there's still a lot to play for for the Lions.
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: I think for both teams, it's a test, you know,
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: like you know, you consider each the medal of the league.
- 1:52:49Speaker 3: So both teams are going to be up for it.
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: But the Lions are at home. I think their defense,
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: like Paul said, is better than the Bills defense, so
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: they have some success keeping Josh Allen corraled. I think
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: the Lions pull it out.
- 1:53:05Speaker 6: Fair enough.
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: So that's what I'm saying right down. But no lock there.
- 1:53:10Speaker 4: Just to be clear, I didn't say the Bills defense
- 1:53:12Speaker 4: wasn't as good as Detroit's defense. I just worried about
- 1:53:15Speaker 4: Detroit's running game. Against the Bills defense.
- 1:53:17Speaker 14: The current defense is really banged up.
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like a mash year.
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: That's true, it is.
- 1:53:20Speaker 14: And Josh Allen last week had fifty one Fantasy points himself.
- 1:53:25Speaker 14: That's the most in NFL.
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: There's no doubt that Josh Allen is the MVP of
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: the league.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: He's good.
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: There's no doubt. Who's gonna argue? Am I right?
- 1:53:34Speaker 6: Steinfeld?
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: I mean it would be my pick, but I man,
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: I hear all kinds of people.
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: What team depends on any one person more darkly than
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: than the Bills will? Yeah, but see what, there's other
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: people on the Eagles, the.
- 1:53:46Speaker 4: Bills, plenty of people on them, the team, the Bill
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: about Josh Allen.
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: The Bills rely on Josh Allen more than any other
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: team relies on one person.
- 1:53:54Speaker 14: Yeah, I think Lamar is the only argument that you
- 1:53:56Speaker 14: could make for that, just because the style of offense
- 1:53:59Speaker 14: that they play, especially, but it's between those two guys
- 1:54:02Speaker 14: for me for MVP again, I would say this year,
- 1:54:05Speaker 14: I think both those guys carry their teams on their back.
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: All right. Four twenty five, the seven and six Buccaneers
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: are at the eight and five Chargers.
- 1:54:17Speaker 6: Black by three Black by three. Yeah, I like I
- 1:54:21Speaker 6: like the lack at home. I like the lack at home.
- 1:54:23Speaker 6: I'm gonna take them.
- 1:54:24Speaker 4: I will lay the points double lack.
- 1:54:28Speaker 14: Yeah, the lack proved a little bit of something to
- 1:54:30Speaker 14: me last week against the Chiefs, just some some toughness,
- 1:54:33Speaker 14: some ability to play in some you know elements like
- 1:54:36Speaker 14: things that you don't know.
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: And I knew they would. That's why I picked them.
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: It was you were a lot of courage, Yeah, involved.
- 1:54:41Speaker 14: In you were away Fred, Yeah, one bounce away. So
- 1:54:45Speaker 14: I'm going to take the Chargers both ways in this game.
- 1:54:47Speaker 14: I think that Jimmy Harbaugh was doing some some good
- 1:54:50Speaker 14: things there.
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to take the lack as well. And
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: I also think that Tampa isn't really necessarily the type
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: of team that would have a huge fan presence like
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: everybody else does when they play at so far sure,
- 1:55:03Speaker 4: I'm not sure that they would have as.
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: Big of a in other words, a lot of empty seats,
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: or maybe.
- 1:55:08Speaker 4: The Chargers people just keep the seats and don't sell
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: them to the visiting fans. I'll take the lack both ways.
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to take the lack both ways. Harbaugh
- 1:55:15Speaker 3: has his team bounced back from that disappointing loss that
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: would have been a big one for the franchise. But
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: maybe they win this game. Yeah, busy for twenty five
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: window on Fox. The ten and three Steelers are at
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: the eleven and two Eagles. Great, a great game.
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Eagles by five and a half.
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: That red zone four to twenty five is going to
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: be very, very beyond that.
- 1:55:37Speaker 4: That TV right there.
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: I need you to focus.
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: Unfortunately you won't be here. I need you to focus
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: on the pro post The postgame show is in all services.
- 1:55:45Speaker 4: The postgame show is better when when you're here to
- 1:55:47Speaker 4: antagonize me.
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: Okay, Mike better.
- 1:55:51Speaker 4: That's what all our focus groups say.
- 1:55:52Speaker 14: We need Fred to antagonize somewhere.
- 1:55:55Speaker 6: I know how to do it. I just I'm scared
- 1:55:57Speaker 6: of him.
- 1:56:00Speaker 4: That's not what he tells me after the show when
- 1:56:01Speaker 4: he says all those things that you said I agree with.
- 1:56:04Speaker 4: I just didn't want to say that.
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: Okay, we gotta hurry, Sorry, actually we don't.
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: I'm gonna take this. Yeah, it sounds games.
- 1:56:10Speaker 6: It sounds like around Monday, person Brown made up. That
- 1:56:12Speaker 6: makes all the difference to me. I'm going to take Philly,
- 1:56:17Speaker 6: but I'm going to ask for those points from the Steelers.
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: I think it's a close game me too.
- 1:56:24Speaker 14: I'm going to take Philly both ways in this game.
- 1:56:26Speaker 14: I still just don't believe in Pittsburgh. I just don't.
- 1:56:29Speaker 14: I don't believe this whole Russell Wilson resurgence and their
- 1:56:32Speaker 14: offense being viable. I think Philly's in a different weight class.
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of agree with you, but I am
- 1:56:38Speaker 4: worried about the spat they dealt with a lot of
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: nonsense this week, self inflicted. I will take Philly to
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: win the game, but I will take the points. And
- 1:56:47Speaker 4: I think I've been guilty of disrespecting Pittsburgh all year,
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: so I'll take the points me too.
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: Is this the Keystone Bowl? Is that what they call?
- 1:56:53Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:56:54Speaker 6: That's good.
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: Sure, Yeah, I'm gonna take Eagles both ways. But I
- 1:56:57Speaker 3: do have Mike Tomlin as my coach of the year.
- 1:56:59Speaker 14: It's a good pick.
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: Eight. So now we skip over the Patriots at four
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: to twenty five and we go to eight twenty Sunday Night,
- 1:57:07Speaker 3: NBC Universal Telexitos. The nine and four Packers are at
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: the eight and five Seahawks, m Peacock.
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: And Green Bay by three.
- 1:57:18Speaker 6: God, this feels like two very similar teams to me,
- 1:57:23Speaker 6: you know, I'm gonna go with Green Bay, though on
- 1:57:25Speaker 6: the road. Usually I'm a Seattle guy. Seattle, Seattle, you
- 1:57:28Speaker 6: say three yep, okay, yeah, I'll take Green Bay on
- 1:57:30Speaker 6: the road for the upset.
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: Now they're favored by three, just so oh their favorite? Sorry, yeah, play,
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: I'll pack pack pack pack pack.
- 1:57:39Speaker 14: It in does feel like the Seahawks defense is starting
- 1:57:42Speaker 14: to figure out this Mike McDonald's scheme. So I'm actually
- 1:57:45Speaker 14: really interested to watch this game on Tuesday because, you know,
- 1:57:49Speaker 14: really good play callers on both sides of the ball.
- 1:57:52Speaker 14: It's a tough one. I'm gonna go. I like the
- 1:57:55Speaker 14: Packers too in this game. I just like the Packers.
- 1:57:58Speaker 14: I just think that they they're well coached. I think
- 1:58:00Speaker 14: they're great quarterbacks. I'm gonna go Packers, Packers.
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: I just think the Packers are better. I know there's
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: only a one game difference. I'm gonna go with Green Bay.
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with green Bay as well. They played
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: well throughout the season. Monday night doubles header, Oh yeah,
- 1:58:15Speaker 3: it starts at eight o'clock the first one. See if
- 1:58:17Speaker 3: you're gonna have a doubleheader on Monday night, this first one.
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: Just start at seven.
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: Absolutely, I would agree with that.
- 1:58:22Speaker 3: Seven and ten, Yeah, well I'm not seven and ten,
- 1:58:25Speaker 3: seven and eight thirty.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: Seven and ten. I'm gonna watch them both.
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: You're gonna watch them both?
- 1:58:31Speaker 4: No, No, because they're gonna be playing at the same time. No,
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: I don't red zone.
- 1:58:37Speaker 3: But if it was seven and ten, you'd I was.
- 1:58:39Speaker 4: Interested in the ten o'clock game, Sure.
- 1:58:40Speaker 3: Stay all the way up to one o'clock to watch football.
- 1:58:43Speaker 4: Probably not. It's a good point. Good point, good point
- 1:58:45Speaker 4: by you. I wouldn't make it. I wouldn't make it
- 1:58:47Speaker 4: through the first quarter.
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: I was gonna say I could barely make it the
- 1:58:50Speaker 3: first quarter in the early game.
- 1:58:51Speaker 14: I fall asleep in the fourth eight o'clock and.
- 1:58:53Speaker 4: ABC have any interesting?
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: ABC and ESPN plus four nine bears at the eleven
- 1:58:59Speaker 3: and two Vikings.
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: This should be another one of those Vikings by six
- 1:59:02Speaker 4: and a half.
- 1:59:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna go Minnesota, Minnesota the games, think right
- 1:59:07Speaker 6: so out, There's no way I would watch one of
- 1:59:09Speaker 6: these games.
- 1:59:11Speaker 7: Vikings Vikings?
- 1:59:14Speaker 14: Was it Byron Murphy that said that we should start
- 1:59:16Speaker 14: talking about the Vikings more is one of their defensive
- 1:59:18Speaker 14: players said that we should start talking about the Vikings.
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: That's another one. Sam Donold should be getting MVP.
- 1:59:23Speaker 14: No, let's relaxbut that. But I do would think we
- 1:59:25Speaker 14: should be talking about the Vikings more. I got Vikings
- 1:59:28Speaker 14: both ways in this game. They're they're rolling. They no
- 1:59:30Speaker 14: one can stop them.
- 1:59:31Speaker 3: I don't know Laura's defensive coaches.
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: They're a better coach that doesn't get the credit than
- 1:59:36Speaker 4: Kevin o'ca.
- 1:59:37Speaker 14: Yeah, I think he's probably, you know, other than than Tomlin.
- 1:59:39Speaker 14: I would say he probably would have my vote.
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: A good point. Nobody expected this from the Vikings. I
- 1:59:44Speaker 3: mean Sam Darnold Donald after McCarthy got hurt off the mat.
- 1:59:47Speaker 4: Yeah, Donald, I'll take the Vikings both ways.
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: Also, I'm gonna take the Bears to cover this game
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: in this tough divisional matchup. Eight thirty ESPN, ESPN Deportes.
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: The six and seven Falcons are at the two and
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: eleven Raiders. Great game. Maybe maybereat game.
- 2:00:05Speaker 4: Maybe just and I will go see a movie or
- 2:00:07Speaker 4: Falcons by four man.
- 2:00:09Speaker 6: Somebody's got to win it. I'll take Falcons, but give
- 2:00:12Speaker 6: me the points for the Raiders. I'll split the baby
- 2:00:15Speaker 6: on this one. I think it'll be close.
- 2:00:17Speaker 7: Maybe I'm gonna do the same thing as Mike.
- 2:00:21Speaker 14: I'm gonna go Falcons, Falcons, but I will be rooting
- 2:00:23Speaker 14: for the Raiders in this game. Big draft implications. If
- 2:00:27Speaker 14: the Raiders can can get a win here.
- 2:00:30Speaker 4: I'll take the Falcons both ways. I don't have much
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: faith in it, but the Raiders are just miserable.
- 2:00:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I will take the Falcons as well, both ways.
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: Now we move back to four to twenty five on CBS.
- 2:00:41Speaker 3: We're back home on CBS three and ten. Patriots at
- 2:00:45Speaker 3: the six and seven, Cardinals.
- 2:00:49Speaker 4: Cards by six, Cards by six. Yeah.
- 2:00:53Speaker 6: I like Arizona and this one just at home, toughest
- 2:00:55Speaker 6: off the Pats coming off the by I'm gonna say
- 2:00:57Speaker 6: Arizona twenty four seventeen.
- 2:01:02Speaker 7: Cardinals thirty four Pat's twenty seven.
- 2:01:09Speaker 6: That sounds like an entertaining one.
- 2:01:11Speaker 14: So I'm gonna take the Cardinals to win this game,
- 2:01:13Speaker 14: but I'm gonna take the Patriots to cover in Arizona.
- 2:01:16Speaker 14: I'm gonna take Cardinals twenty eight to twenty four. I
- 2:01:19Speaker 14: see this game going pretty similar to the Colts game.
- 2:01:22Speaker 14: Patriots move the ball decent amount, some good moments, but
- 2:01:26Speaker 14: just can't get over the top.
- 2:01:28Speaker 4: I'm gonna take the Cardinals both ways. I think they'll
- 2:01:31Speaker 4: have too much offense and on the road, the Patriots
- 2:01:34Speaker 4: will have a hard time keeping up. So I'm gonna say,
- 2:01:38Speaker 4: do you remember.
- 2:01:39Speaker 3: What I picked?
- 2:01:41Speaker 4: Something like that? We were on the same Yeah, yeah,
- 2:01:44Speaker 4: I'll say twenty seven to twenty Arizona Uga Chaga.
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: I can't stop this feeling, Patriots. This is a lock,
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: outright win, underdog win thirty one twenty four.
- 2:01:58Speaker 4: Does this go down as your lock?
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: This is one of the lie I had another No,
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: I know, but I have to was an underdog. I
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: have to chart them for This is an underdog outright win.
- 2:02:07Speaker 4: I put the ass in the proper space. Don't worry
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: about it.
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: Yeah, this is an underdog, outright lock win for the Patriots.
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: I got a feeling. I got a feeling we're gonna
- 2:02:18Speaker 3: kick off these final four games.
- 2:02:20Speaker 4: Press Evan draft picks.
- 2:02:22Speaker 14: I know it's I'm torn about that, Paul, But in reality,
- 2:02:26Speaker 14: if we could score over thirty points in the game,
- 2:02:28Speaker 14: and I could watch the offensive tape where they actually
- 2:02:30Speaker 14: score some points, I'm all for it.
- 2:02:34Speaker 3: I'm all for it, Evan. This game's for you.
- 2:02:36Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 2:02:36Speaker 3: I dedicate this lock to Evan.
