Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 0:02Speaker 1: This is Gil and today is Sunday, October twentieth, and man,
- 0:05Speaker 1: I just had to take a little bit of time
- 0:07Speaker 1: because I read this article about how the unrivaled league,
- 0:12Speaker 1: the three on three Women's Basketball League, has been chasing
- 0:16Speaker 1: after Katelyn Clark. So far, she's distanced herself from that league,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and I believe that she should just completely distance herself
- 0:25Speaker 1: from it. There's no point in giving any other league
- 0:28Speaker 1: besides the WNBA validation, and without Caitlin Clark, that league is,
- 0:33Speaker 1: this is destined to fail. There might be some interest
- 0:37Speaker 1: right away because it'll be carried by T and T Sports,
- 0:40Speaker 1: but as far as star power, we need to really
- 0:44Speaker 1: understand something. In America, there is no women's basketball without
- 0:49Speaker 1: Katelin Clark. So that's just a bottom factual, bottom line
- 0:55Speaker 1: that no one can deny. She They went from a
- 0:58Speaker 1: one point two million viewers on the Fever games to
- 1:04Speaker 1: like three hundred thousand overnight. The league is there is
- 1:10Speaker 1: no league without it. Now, they have just stepped all
- 1:12Speaker 1: over this girl. They have lied, they have cheated, they
- 1:15Speaker 1: have gone out and targeted her.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It's just been a total.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Thunderstorm of ill will toward her because all of a sudden.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We've been here from the start, We've been doing this
- 1:29Speaker 1: for god knows how long, and now all of a sudden, Yes,
- 1:33Speaker 1: all of a sudden, they want to give somebody some credence.
- 1:36Speaker 2: This girl is a special talent. She's handling things on
- 1:39Speaker 2: the level that.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Has maturity to it that you don't see from people
- 1:46Speaker 1: like Angel Reaves, who I absolutely despise the ghetto barbie. Yes, bitch,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you are a ghetto barbie. But anyway, let's go through
- 1:54Speaker 1: what happens or why the league's challenges will have challenges.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So the unrival League is a competitive women's basketball platform.
- 2:04Speaker 1: They've gone an attention for just coming up and giving
- 2:07Speaker 1: an off season level of play so that the girls,
- 2:11Speaker 1: the women don't have to go overseas to China or
- 2:14Speaker 1: Russia and everywhere else Israel to play basketball. The problem
- 2:18Speaker 1: that I see with the league is that they're gonna
- 2:20Speaker 1: overprice themselves. They're gonna overpay the female talent. And typically
- 2:28Speaker 1: your league is pays people based on revenue. Now, if
- 2:31Speaker 1: there's not enough revenue, you can't pay people. The w
- 2:35Speaker 1: NBA will grow in their payment plan. I think it's
- 2:39Speaker 1: like seventy five thousand base salary that's going to grow,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and that's a part of the Caitlin Clark effect. But
- 2:46Speaker 1: with this unrivaled league, they are gonna put themselves in
- 2:49Speaker 1: the hole immediately. They're also gonna put themselves in the
- 2:53Speaker 1: hole when they roll the dice and don't get Caitlin Clark.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So the undeniable fact will remain that without Katelin Clark,
- 3:01Speaker 1: the league faces significant challenges. So I wanted to explore
- 3:07Speaker 1: many of the reasons why I feel the unrivaled league
- 3:10Speaker 1: will struggle to maintain the status and competitive edge without
- 3:13Speaker 1: Caitlin Clark. So Caitlyn Clark is just not a talented athlete.
- 3:16Speaker 1: She embodies the spirit of basketball. She has precision shooting,
- 3:20Speaker 1: exceptional passing, high basketball IQ. She has revolutionized the way
- 3:25Speaker 1: the game is played. She has literally changed the game
- 3:28Speaker 1: in the same manner that Steph Curry changed the NBA game,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and there's very few people in the history of basketball
- 3:37Speaker 1: who've been able to do that. She's been able to
- 3:40Speaker 1: perform under pressure, make clutch plays. She's one game. She's
- 3:44Speaker 1: also attractive fans and media attention to the w n
- 3:47Speaker 1: b A. That's something that the unrival league will not get.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The excitement she brings to the court as irreplaceable, making
- 3:54Speaker 1: her absence a substantial loss. The thing is with her
- 3:58Speaker 1: is that these young girls, white, black, Chinese, they're all
- 4:03Speaker 1: coming to see her. This is not a racial thing. She,
- 4:06Speaker 1: like many of these players, propose this is undeniable. She
- 4:09Speaker 1: is the bomb, She is the ship. So Katelin Clark
- 4:13Speaker 1: is essential to the marketability of the Sports League. Without Clark,
- 4:17Speaker 1: the unrival league risk losing its top tier appeal. Fans
- 4:20Speaker 1: will often come to watch star players perform, and there
- 4:22Speaker 1: is no bigger star than her. Her absence would lead
- 4:25Speaker 1: to lawer attendance at games and highly diminished viewer ratings,
- 4:30Speaker 1: which is where a lot of their money's gonna come from.
- 4:32Speaker 1: The League's ability to sell merchandise, secure sponsorship, and grow
- 4:35Speaker 1: its brand will all be adversely affected by her departure. Now,
- 4:39Speaker 1: Clark's influence extends beyond her individual performance.
- 4:42Speaker 2: She serves as a leader on and off the court.
- 4:44Speaker 1: She has a high work ethic and competitive drive that
- 4:47Speaker 1: inspires her teammates. She elevates the overall performance of any
- 4:50Speaker 1: team she's on. Now, without her, other players may struggle
- 4:54Speaker 1: to step into that leadership role. There would be a
- 4:57Speaker 1: potential decline and team cohesion and performance. The unrivaled league
- 5:01Speaker 1: relies on strong team dynamics to foster competitive games, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: losing their key player like Clark would disrupt this balance.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Caitlyn Clark consistently showcases a high level of skill and
- 5:12Speaker 1: intelligence that sets her apart from other players, so her
- 5:16Speaker 1: presence in the league would raise the level of competition.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Her absence would create a risk a larger gap in
- 5:22Speaker 1: talent among teams. This disparity could lead to less exciting games,
- 5:26Speaker 1: ultimately diminishing the league's appeal in competitive integrity. Clark's contributions
- 5:31Speaker 1: to the game would extend well beyond her on court performance,
- 5:34Speaker 1: now her persona and her relatability to young girls and
- 5:39Speaker 1: to women and to men. Because I love watching her play.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I love watching the Fever play. I mean, Kelsey Mitchell
- 5:45Speaker 1: is a goddamn gangster. I love that chick. I love
- 5:49Speaker 1: their whole team. That team just gritty, and to go
- 5:53Speaker 1: from one in eight or one in nine to where
- 5:55Speaker 1: they were that was just an incredible performance. Their coach
- 6:01Speaker 1: did a great job. I just man, look, they just
- 6:04Speaker 1: did great. But a person like her who has that
- 6:08Speaker 1: persona and that relatability off the court, they cultivate a
- 6:14Speaker 1: strong fan base. Now that helps foster community support for
- 6:17Speaker 1: the Unrival League, because that's another important aspect is community
- 6:22Speaker 1: support in each team that would be in this league.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So without her, there's a potential loss and fan engagement
- 6:29Speaker 1: that would lead to decreased loyalty from fans, and that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: a fact. So basically, what I'm saying at this point
- 6:35Speaker 1: is that without Caitlin Clark, there is no chance for
- 6:38Speaker 1: this league to survive. So in conclusion, I feel the
- 6:41Speaker 1: Unrival League will face considerable hurdles without Caitlin Clark. So
- 6:46Speaker 1: we can always talk about her talent, her leadership, her
- 6:48Speaker 1: star power, and that all would play a crucial role
- 6:51Speaker 1: in the league's identity and the success of the league.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So as the league seeks to maintain this competitive edge
- 6:57Speaker 1: and attract fans, everybody must find ways. All these teams
- 7:01Speaker 1: will find ways to develop stars and enhance their appeal. However,
- 7:06Speaker 1: the impact of Kitland Clark or the loss of Caitlin
- 7:09Speaker 1: Clark would illustrate all those challenges that they have both
- 7:13Speaker 1: on and off the court. So in essence, while Unrivaled
- 7:16Speaker 1: has potential, it has a rise should the occasionally field
- 7:19Speaker 1: of void left by one of the most dynamic players
- 7:23Speaker 1: in women's basketball history. Without her, that league has no
- 7:27Speaker 1: chance to survive.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And that is a fact. That is an unrivaled fact.
- 7:34Speaker 1: As we would say. However, I love watching her play.
- 7:40Speaker 1: The US team lost. There are a lot of Olympic sponsorships.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Are never gained those Olympic sponsorships because they were petty
- 7:47Speaker 1: and didn't bring her on when she should have been
- 7:49Speaker 1: on the team. However, she did get some revenge so
- 7:55Speaker 1: to speak, when she was named first Team All WNBA.
- 7:57Speaker 1: So I like that for a fact, and Angel was
- 8:00Speaker 1: nowhere on the list, so thank God Almighty. But anyway,
- 8:04Speaker 1: so that is why I feel that the UNRIVA League
- 8:07Speaker 1: has no way to succeed without Caitlin Clark.
- 8:10Speaker 2: This is Gil. Thanks for listening. Please like, subscribe, and share.
