- 0:02I absolutely love where my friend is. I remember being on a
- 0:05conversation six months ago. I was driving to DC for work and
- 0:13just stopped in traffic talking to a friend, and she was telling
- 0:17me about an event she had done and did content creation for
- 0:22just recording some reels, and she is really good at content
- 0:26creation, like really good, and it lights her soul up. So I love
- 0:29it whenever she was able to do things like that, and that's how
- 0:34her and I had met because I was opening a local mocktail lounge,
- 0:39and she absolutely loved the idea, and said, "Let me help you
- 0:43with this." And we quickly found out how much we had aligned in
- 0:48what we thought about the world and how thought things work. And
- 0:52so we kind of talked to each other pretty frequently to just
- 0:57check in and encourage the other. We knew that, like
- 1:01manifesting with others increased our our
- 1:06manifestations. So we would constantly talk and share how
- 1:10things were working for us because we were both seeing like
- 1:13gigantic growth. And she was telling me that she didn't think
- 1:17she wanted to do the content creation anymore. She didn't
- 1:21think people wanted it. They weren't going to pay her for it,
- 1:24and she was also. I knew she had mentioned it was winter time,
- 1:31and there had just been like a higher heat bill and needing
- 1:36extra money. And I had just opened up our like Facebook. I
- 1:41was just like stopped and listening to her, and I opened
- 1:43it up. And the very first post was from our local community
- 1:47group, where a lot of people like put in requests and shared
- 1:51our businesses. And there was a lady looking for a videographer
- 1:56for her wedding, and the videographer had like the
- 2:00wedding was in a week, and the videographer had broken her or
- 2:02their ankle, and she was like, "This is like I have some money.
- 2:07I don't have like a lot of money, but I I will pay. I just
- 2:11need somebody who can do this." And so I told my friend, I was
- 2:15like, "Hey, here's a post on everything, Frederick. I want
- 2:18you to go and post in there that you're the chick for this, and I
- 2:23had already like put, hey, this is your chick, and my friend was
- 2:27like, I don't think, and I don't do weddings, and I was like, you
- 2:31you take video, and I was like, there's only one way to find
- 2:35out, and I just wanted to like take her and shake her and be
- 2:38like, but what if it works for you and you need money. Like
- 2:43this is something you love to do, and I said, "Look, it takes
- 2:46you 30 seconds. Just jump on, say I'm your chick." And she's
- 2:50like, "Okay, fine, fine." And because she, I love that about
- 2:55us because like we actually took each other's advice, and we did
- 3:00very well at encouraging each other to what if the
- 3:05possibilities, like the positive possibilities. And so she's
- 3:09like, "Okay, let me get off here. I'm gonna go do this." And
- 3:1310 minutes later, she calls me back and she is screaming, "I
- 3:18got it! I got it!" And she's paying me way more than she, my
- 3:23friend, had thought that she would be paid for, and so now
- 3:27it's just amazing. To like six months ago, she was saying maybe
- 3:31this isn't for me, and now, not only did she do well there, she
- 3:38started picking up a lot more content creation, and she has
- 3:42her own very popular podcast. Remember, I said six months ago,
- 3:48very popular local podcast. She has been paid for several
- 3:54projects. She is absolutely loving it. She got into a local
- 3:59content creation group, so she's like really finding her people,
- 4:04and that's exactly what we're talking about today. Hey, hey, I
- 4:08am Ginger, and welcome back to Wild Soul Alchemy. Last episode,
- 4:14I said there's one thing you'll hear me say over and over, only
- 4:17one way to find out. Today, we're going to talk about why I
- 4:20say it, why it might change how you look at every idea you've
- 4:24been sitting on, and how to change your perspective to
- 4:28actually take action on these things. So we always say there's
- 4:32things that we want to do. I've always wanted to learn guitar.
- 4:37I've always wanted to go see very specific waterfalls, and
- 4:42I've always wanted to start a podcast. It's actually been
- 4:44about three years in the making, and instead of doing the things
- 4:50that we want, we sit here and we go off onto what if tangents,
- 4:56and we what if the hell out of it. What if I'm bad? What if it
- 5:01fails? What if I spend money and I hate it? Or we start beating
- 5:04ourselves up and we're like, oh, what if people think I'm
- 5:07ridiculous or they don't agree and I'm just wasting my time?
- 5:10And so let me ask you this: How's that working out for you?
- 5:15Of course, all of our what ifs could go wrong, but I want to
- 5:19ask you: What if it actually fucking worked, we don't sit
- 5:22here and spend much airtime with that thought. And I used to
- 5:26think that planning for every way it could go wrong was what
- 5:31mature, responsible people did. Now that we're adults, we have
- 5:35to plan and be prepared for everything. They tell us that we
- 5:38have to have a savings with so many months of mortgage and
- 5:42bills, or we have to the life insurance and the car insurance
- 5:46and the health insurance. Even if you're healthy, or we are
- 5:50just conditioned to think about all of the the possibilities
- 5:55that could go wrong. And when we go into these tangents, what if
- 6:00it doesn't work out? What if you fucking love it, and what if it
- 6:04makes you feel alive again? It could be a whole new chapter in
- 6:08your life. And there are other things that we're in situations
- 6:11where we don't like it, and but we think like we have to be
- 6:16stuck in this permanent situation, and then you get out
- 6:20of it, and years down the road, you're like, "Oh my God, I
- 6:24remember! Like I thought, what if this didn't make, or what if
- 6:28this didn't work out?" And look at me now. So fear is just a
- 6:31spotlight where more love is needed. It's not a stop sign.
- 6:35It's pointing at something that actually matters to you, or you
- 6:39wouldn't be scared of it, so why don't we take these what ifs and
- 6:44turn it into like instead of what if it doesn't work, and say
- 6:47what if it actually fucking works? And that's why I always
- 6:51say there is only one way to find out. And when you change
- 6:55this perspective, it helps you take action. So you ask yourself
- 7:04only one way to find out, and what if it actually fucking
- 7:06works? And you go and you do the thing, and so now we have more
- 7:12data. You know whether or not it works, whether or not you failed
- 7:17at it, whether or not people loved you, and so you just
- 7:21fucked around and you found out. Great. If it's not your thing,
- 7:24cross it off. You don't have to give any more airtime to it. Or
- 7:29what if? And this is my favorite what if game. What if it is your
- 7:33favorite fucking thing now? And you wouldn't have known that if
- 7:36you didn't try it. And that's the part that nobody tells you.
- 7:40Like every time you try something, you find out whether
- 7:44or not you like it, and you also get to take that data now and
- 7:49use it as more discernment into knowing how to make better or
- 7:55sorry future decisions on whether it's something you want
- 7:59to try or not. So the more I went and like tried to find like
- 8:06the only one way to find out, I started noticing that the things
- 8:11that I didn't like or that ended up going terribly wrong, I
- 8:17always had like this crampy feeling before doing it, and so
- 8:22I started taking note of that, and then I also started
- 8:26analyzing, and I was like, "Oh, well, what does it feel like
- 8:29when I was like that nervous before doing something, and then
- 8:34I did it, and I loved it, and then I like started noticing
- 8:38those signs were something totally different. So I'm
- 8:42sacral. If you're into human design, I'm a sacral authority,
- 8:46and so I get pings or like my intuition is what it is in my
- 8:51gut.
- 8:52And so I started noticing like I would get stomach cramps or like
- 8:58just my stomach didn't feel great before doing something or
- 9:01doing something that I didn't think should be happening, like
- 9:05about to go out on a date with a guy that the date ended up being
- 9:09horribly wrong, and I always recognized there was this
- 9:13feeling, and I started looking back through my life at all
- 9:16these like major bad decisions I made and how I felt prior to
- 9:20going, and I started noticing this pattern. And so, when you
- 9:24go and you do these things, you get to find out like your body's
- 9:29intuition telling you whether or not something is going to be
- 9:33bad. And so now I'm so good at it that if I get this feeling in
- 9:37my gut, I just listen to it, and I don't care how crazy it makes
- 9:40me seem I have learned the hard way, way too many times, and I
- 9:45listen to it, and I don't care anymore. Even if it like if I'm
- 9:48wrong, if I like think something's bad that's gonna
- 9:51happen, and I get this gut, and I don't do it, and then it ended
- 9:54up being something that would have been okay. That's fine. I
- 9:58am. I have been so right on. This that the like 2% I might
- 10:02fail I'm fine with that so I encourage you because the more
- 10:07you find the more you practice this the more you will have
- 10:11better discernment and you can journal these things so that you
- 10:14don't have to like have it in the front center just get a very
- 10:18specific journal and before you go do something new, write down
- 10:23like how you're feeling, and then afterwards write down how
- 10:26you're feeling, how it went, and then you get more data. Because
- 10:30fear gives us nothing to work with; it keeps you standing
- 10:34still. And life is just one big experiment and noticing the
- 10:39patterns. When we take action, it gives us something to build
- 10:42from, and even a wrong decision is a step. Now you know which
- 10:46way not to go. That choice that went sideways, it still counts
- 10:49because you're moving forward. So I want to encourage you to
- 10:53start catching yourself whenever a scary what if or a negative
- 10:58what if comes, and write it down, and then right next to it,
- 11:02write the other version. What if it actually fucking works? What
- 11:07if I love it? And what if this is the thing that changes my
- 11:12life, my chapter, my week? You don't have to believe it. Just
- 11:16give it some airtime. And in addition to that, start noticing
- 11:20where in your body we all have different intuition centers.
- 11:23Start noticing these things and write these down on this piece
- 11:29of paper. The next episode, we're going to talk about what
- 11:32to do when the thing you want feels way too big or scary to
- 11:37start, and this is like the big mountain thing. Stay curious,
- 11:42wild soul. Toodles.
