- 0:00Speaker 1: On NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Back to it, NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Billy from Butler on the war.
- 0:11Speaker 3: On the war, okay.
- 0:12Speaker 4: All right.
- 0:13Speaker 5: You know what?
- 0:14Speaker 6: I'm getting a little frustrated.
- 0:16Speaker 5: I mean, this is almost like the president, he's almost
- 0:20Speaker 5: like LBJ, you know, with all the bombing halts. I
- 0:25Speaker 5: don't go as far as Nick. I don't think we
- 0:27Speaker 5: should be using nuclear weapons, but I do think... We
- 0:30Speaker 5: should eliminate the electrical grid. We should drop every single bridge.
- 0:34Speaker 5: We should certainly take out that railroad where they're getting
- 0:37Speaker 5: some oil out of the country, you know, the head
- 0:40Speaker 5: east to China. I would just eliminate the oil industry.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Just take it off. Just take it off the map.
- 0:51Speaker 5: They don't have the oil money. They can't rebuild their military.
- 0:54Speaker 5: They certainly can't pursue nuclear weapons. They can't pay, you know,
- 0:58Speaker 5: export terrorism like Hamas, you know, and the rest of them.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Just shut it down. I believe Trump doesn't want to
- 1:06Speaker 5: do this because, you know, again, he's kind of a narcissist.
- 1:09Speaker 5: He wants everybody to love him, including the stupid Iranians.
- 1:16Speaker 5: I believe that if you take out their electrical grid,
- 1:18Speaker 5: they can't hide in their caves. You know, they need,
- 1:21Speaker 5: you know, they can only run their generator so long,
- 1:23Speaker 5: and then, you know, they have to come to the surface.
- 1:26Speaker 5: And they certainly can't build any more drones if they
- 1:28Speaker 5: don't have any electricity. Just shut the country down. Send
- 1:32Speaker 5: them back 100, 150 years and forget about them. That
- 1:37Speaker 5: would be my solution for the war. Now, I know
- 1:41Speaker 5: you and others have voiced, you know, fear about the
- 1:44Speaker 5: upcoming midterms. I think, you know, where they've done, you know,
- 1:49Speaker 5: the Republicans have done, some of the states have done
- 1:51Speaker 5: some redistricting. They've lost the Democrats and just population shifts.
- 1:55Speaker 5: They have lost a lot of seats. And plus, a
- 1:59Speaker 5: lot of these candidates, they're electing, you know, that they're
- 2:02Speaker 5: nominating to represent their party. They're nutballs, total nutballs. And I,
- 2:08Speaker 5: you know, it's, you know, you've said yourself, well, I'm upset,
- 2:12Speaker 5: I'm upset with Republicans, but there's no way I could
- 2:14Speaker 5: vote for a Democrat. Well, I don't think you're the
- 2:17Speaker 5: only one who thinks that way. The young, okay, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 5: they're just not very bright. They don't understand supply and demand.
- 2:26Speaker 5: They still think that, you know, they're mooches. They still
- 2:28Speaker 5: think they can get something for nothing. That's not going
- 2:30Speaker 5: to cost them. You know, it's okay to let the
- 2:33Speaker 5: looters take over, but socialism, communism never works. You know,
- 2:39Speaker 5: just for the simple reason you can't force people to
- 2:42Speaker 5: be altruistic.
- 2:43Speaker 6: But, you know, I'm optimistic.
- 2:45Speaker 5: You know, again, the price of gas, listen, when I
- 2:49Speaker 5: started driving, it was 35 cents. Back in 1967, 1968,
- 2:54Speaker 5: the difference today is the dollar is not worth as much.
- 3:00Speaker 5: We both know in the last five years it's lost
- 3:04Speaker 5: at least 25%, 30% of its value. It's kind of a... Gas,
- 3:09Speaker 5: I know you don't want to hear this, but it's
- 3:11Speaker 5: kind of a bargain. You know, if you look at
- 3:13Speaker 5: what you're paying for your hamburger from.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Are you out of your mind?
- 3:18Speaker 7: Now you sound like a Biden supporter. Come on, give
- 3:22Speaker 7: me a break.
- 3:22Speaker 5: No.
- 3:24Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. I can't give you a break
- 3:26Speaker 1: on that. You sound like a Biden supporter.
- 3:28Speaker 7: When I hear conservative Republicans try to run cover for $ 4,
- 3:35Speaker 7: or like I said at the Shell station, it was
- 3:38Speaker 7: $ 4. 50 when I was driving in, for $ 4. 50 a gallon gas,
- 3:41Speaker 7: and I hope it's a fluke and it'd be $ 4.
- 3:44Speaker 7: I had people calling me, the sign said $ 4. 50, and
- 3:47Speaker 7: they were happy to fill up for $ 3. 90. And it's
- 3:50Speaker 7: like if you think that people are saying, well, this
- 3:53Speaker 7: ain't so bad, you're totally out of your mind. Because
- 3:57Speaker 7: I go back to say it was about $ 2. 50 a
- 3:59Speaker 7: gallon before Trump started this war. Supply and demand works.
- 4:04Speaker 1: No, people voted it's not supply.
- 4:06Speaker 7: It is supply and demand in a negative fashion because
- 4:09Speaker 7: the straight is closed. The reality is that he created
- 4:15Speaker 7: a major problem. Gas prices are going up. And it
- 4:19Speaker 7: puts a hurt on everything. And diesel prices are even higher.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Whether that's the truck you're driving or whether that's the
- 4:27Speaker 7: farmer's machinery or that shipping fuel or jet airplane fuel,
- 4:32Speaker 7: all those prices have to go up because of how
- 4:35Speaker 7: much gas is costing. I'm not going to sit here
- 4:38Speaker 7: like some of these people try to say, oh, well,
- 4:41Speaker 7: it was high under Obama or it was high under Biden. Well,
- 4:44Speaker 7: we were bellyaching and bitching about it then. just as
- 4:48Speaker 7: we should be right now. But all of a sudden,
- 4:50Speaker 7: I'm starting to see some conservatives try to make excuses like, oh,
- 4:53Speaker 7: this is okay. Well, it was higher at this point,
- 4:56Speaker 7: and this isn't bad, and I'm willing to pay it.
- 4:58Speaker 1: No, you shouldn't be.
- 5:01Speaker 7: We don't have cheap energy, and we need cheap energy.
- 5:04Speaker 7: Electric prices have doubled. Gas and diesel are off the charts.
- 5:09Speaker 7: And that creates even more inflation and devalues your paycheck,
- 5:13Speaker 7: your savings, and your retirement even more.
- 5:16Speaker 1: There's nothing good about it at all.
- 5:19Speaker 7: Trump has created a situation that's unique to him, not
- 5:22Speaker 7: other presidents, because the Strait is closed and it remains closed.
- 5:26Speaker 7: And that's 20, 30 million barrels off the oil market
- 5:29Speaker 7: on a daily basis.
- 5:30Speaker 1: That's a huge deficit.
- 5:33Speaker 4: That will come back.
- 5:34Speaker 7: You know what? I don't necessarily know that I'll sit
- 5:38Speaker 7: there and say to come back. He's been talking a
- 5:40Speaker 7: long time. He's miscalculated this. He said they want to
- 5:44Speaker 7: reach an agreement. He said it time and time again.
- 5:46Speaker 7: They haven't reached an agreement. We did this 60-day pause.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It went nowhere. Then we were back at it, bombing
- 5:52Speaker 1: them again.
- 5:54Speaker 7: And they didn't give in that time either. Now they've
- 5:57Speaker 7: come back with their demands saying, here's what our demands are.
- 6:01Speaker 7: So this could just continue to drag on.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Have a little faith there, Moriari.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Nothing to negative vibes.
- 6:09Speaker 5: We're going to get through this.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't have as much faith as you do in this.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It's a mess.
- 6:15Speaker 7: All right.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Thanks. It is a mess. And it continues to be
- 6:19Speaker 1: a mess. You're on the air.
- 6:23Speaker 8: I didn't know our old buddy John Shepeloff passed away.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Our engineer? Yeah. He had passed away quite a while ago, yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 3: How long ago was that?
- 6:35Speaker 1: It's been a while.
- 6:37Speaker 8: No kidding. Hey, I heard that you came to work
- 6:39Speaker 8: today in the back of a Schwebel's bread truck. Is
- 6:41Speaker 8: that true?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Absolutely. Somebody said, you know, and I smell just like..
- 6:47Speaker 8: I don't know how you've seen the prices. You must
- 6:49Speaker 8: have been looking through the cab door there. But I
- 6:52Speaker 8: heard that you were hiding in the back where Schwebel
- 6:54Speaker 8: struck some war.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Guess what? Here's what I discovered. Are you ready for this?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Here was my big discovery.
- 7:00Speaker 8: I'll tell you what. Nowadays, I'm ready for anything the
- 7:03Speaker 8: way things sound.
- 7:04Speaker 9: Go ahead.
- 7:04Speaker 1: All right. Well, I would always buy Schwebel's honey wheat bread, right? Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 7: It was a staple. So then they were no longer there.
- 7:14Speaker 7: So now I'm at the shelf and I'm looking. And
- 7:17Speaker 7: I say to myself, hmm. Now I found one that
- 7:20Speaker 7: was comparable, but now I buy Nichols. I buy it
- 7:25Speaker 7: from Nichols. Listen to me, Nichols Bakery, because it's in Navarre.
- 7:28Speaker 7: It's somewhat local. I bought one from a bakery that's
- 7:35Speaker 7: owned by some big bakery in the country, and it
- 7:39Speaker 7: was god-awful. But the Nichols Honey Wheat Bread... It was
- 7:44Speaker 7: pretty good. It wasn't bad. It was Schwebel-like, so I
- 7:49Speaker 7: share that with you. But I'm going to buy Nichols
- 7:51Speaker 7: bread because at least it's made in.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Navarro, Ohio. It's close.
- 7:55Speaker 8: That's true. Well, they said that they had that Orlando
- 7:58Speaker 8: bread supposed to be making their big box store here,
- 8:02Speaker 8: their private label. I don't know how true that is,
- 8:04Speaker 8: but I heard that's going to happen too. I'm pleading
- 8:07Speaker 8: with them.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Okay, so what do you want, troublemaker?
- 8:12Speaker 8: What do I want? Well, I've got a list here.
- 8:16Speaker 8: Lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, not such an up-and-down
- 8:24Speaker 8: stock market and end of a war. How does that sound?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Is that all?
- 8:28Speaker 8: That's really dreaming, isn't it?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Well, you're not asking for too much.
- 8:37Speaker 8: No, not much. I've got to remember one thing, though.
- 8:41Speaker 8: saying that he's running the country like a business. And
- 8:45Speaker 8: I have an idea, too, about the national debt.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 8:48Speaker 8: Talking about the president. It's something that he's very familiar with.
- 8:52Speaker 8: Why does he file bankruptcy for the United States and
- 8:55Speaker 8: get out of it like he did many times?
- 8:59Speaker 7: Well, if we stay on this course, believe me... We're
- 9:03Speaker 7: in serious trouble. They're talking like if they raise interest rates,
- 9:06Speaker 7: do you realize what that does to the federal government
- 9:08Speaker 7: as we continue to see this debt increase?
- 9:11Speaker 8: Yeah, I do, but does he?
- 9:14Speaker 1: I certainly hope so.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Yeah, all right.
- 9:17Speaker 7: You don't sound like you're digging the Trump administration too much.
- 9:23Speaker 8: Not whatsoever.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Goodbye.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Why are you hanging up? I do the hanging up
- 9:30Speaker 7: around here, sir. You can't... I hang up on you.
- 9:33Speaker 7: You don't hang up on me.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Ronnie.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's the unknown caller.
- 9:40Speaker 9: Hey, what happened yesterday? You hung up on me or something?
- 9:44Speaker 1: I did not hang up on you.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Sometimes..
- 9:46Speaker 6: Everything is like..
- 9:49Speaker 1: The system.
- 9:50Speaker 9: You were talking about the baby boomers, which we.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Are, Ronnie, leaving the earth.
- 9:55Speaker 9: And all of a sudden, I didn't know if I
- 9:58Speaker 9: went or you went.
- 9:59Speaker 8: No.
- 10:00Speaker 9: God you're still.
- 10:00Speaker 8: Here, right?
- 10:02Speaker 7: What I said yesterday was all of these people that
- 10:05Speaker 7: are talking about housing being expensive and the housing shortage,
- 10:09Speaker 7: it is not going to be an issue because you're
- 10:12Speaker 7: just starting to see many of the baby boomers pass away,
- 10:16Speaker 7: and there's going to be a lot of houses available
- 10:19Speaker 7: for people to buy. There will be more houses than
- 10:23Speaker 7: there probably will be people, and I suspect housing prices
- 10:26Speaker 7: will come down, and you'll be able to– get a
- 10:30Speaker 7: decent deal on a house.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's just a matter of time.
- 10:35Speaker 9: Just like when you cut out, I'm like, which one
- 10:39Speaker 9: of us died?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Well, it's like, how much longer do you think you have?
- 10:44Speaker 6: Maybe not, not much longer, Ron.
- 10:49Speaker 8: So figure it out.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Well, okay.
- 10:52Speaker 7: So you would be at, at the end of the
- 10:56Speaker 7: baby boomer, uh, This is not my opinion. I'm just
- 11:00Speaker 7: telling you, when I was reading these people that were
- 11:03Speaker 7: saying that the idea of a housing shortage is nonsense.
- 11:08Speaker 7: The problem is going to solve itself because of the
- 11:13Speaker 7: passing of baby boomers that have so many homes. And
- 11:17Speaker 7: the younger generation will be able to... 25% of the
- 11:21Speaker 7: homes that are inherited, they will live in. And they
- 11:25Speaker 7: were even saying, even if that's higher, even if you
- 11:27Speaker 7: go up to 50%, many of the baby boomers will
- 11:31Speaker 7: live in the family home or own the family home.
- 11:35Speaker 7: And then that means 50% of the rest of the
- 11:38Speaker 7: homes will be on the marketplace, which would be plenty
- 11:40Speaker 7: of homes for the Gen X or whatever they are
- 11:45Speaker 7: to be able to buy at a decent price. That
- 11:49Speaker 7: it would be supply and demand will work. That's what
- 11:52Speaker 7: I was saying. I don't think you're going to die
- 11:56Speaker 7: anytime soon. I think you've got another good, let me
- 11:58Speaker 7: guess here.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I'm going to say.
- 12:00Speaker 9: Well, hopefully another 45 minutes until we get off the.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Show, Ronnie.
- 12:05Speaker 1: No, I think you've got it. I would hope. I'm
- 12:08Speaker 1: going to do some calculation here.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Uh-oh.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I would hope. I would hope at least a good 10,
- 12:15Speaker 1: if not 15 years of good health for you.
- 12:23Speaker 9: And you're just saying that because I am two months
- 12:25Speaker 9: older than you.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I get it.
- 12:28Speaker 1: No, I said for you. I didn't say for me.
- 12:31Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, you opened the show with the
- 12:35Speaker 9: gas prices at $ 4. 50 on South Avenue.
- 12:38Speaker 2: 224.
- 12:39Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 7: But wait a minute. Ted the Conservative sent me a picture.
- 12:46Speaker 7: I've got to bring it up. In Columbiana at BP.
- 12:53Speaker 7: It says Duchess BP or something. It's $ 449. You sent
- 12:56Speaker 7: me a picture of it.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I got it right here.
- 12:59Speaker 9: Well, I saw that on Route 14, Swiftmark, nearest Palestine,
- 13:07Speaker 9: was like $ 359 today. The Ohio Turnpike, I went past.
- 13:14Speaker 5: I drove.
- 13:15Speaker 9: I wasn't on the Turnpike, but you could see the sign.
- 13:18Speaker 9: And the sign on the turnpike, you know the turnpike
- 13:20Speaker 9: prices are always higher. It was only $ 4.
- 13:22Speaker 5: 09.
- 13:22Speaker 9: So I don't know what kind of, you know, they're
- 13:28Speaker 9: just dealing with the rich people that work in Boardman.
- 13:33Speaker 9: They've got good jobs in Boardman. They're trying to gouge them, Ronnie.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Ted sent me that from Columbiana. I don't know what's
- 13:41Speaker 7: going on. I'm the first guy to say... I'll say
- 13:45Speaker 7: it again, at $ 4. 50 a gallon, all of a sudden
- 13:47Speaker 7: people were happy to be able to pull in and
- 13:48Speaker 7: buy it for $ 3.
- 13:49Speaker 1: 90.
- 13:50Speaker 7: But it's like I hope it goes down to whatever,
- 13:55Speaker 7: goes down to at least $ 3.
- 13:57Speaker 1: 90 again.
- 13:59Speaker 7: Anytime you get over $ 4, it's a shock and an
- 14:02Speaker 7: eye-opening thing. But like I say, these oil analysts say
- 14:05Speaker 7: we've got big problems with the supply of oil and
- 14:08Speaker 7: that gas prices.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Will go up.
- 14:11Speaker 9: Well, I was listening to your show, and so I
- 14:15Speaker 9: called in, and I was wondering if it's going to
- 14:17Speaker 9: be Debbie Downer answering the phone. It's a pretty downer show, Ronnie.
- 14:23Speaker 9: You're just complaining about everything, the gas prices, everything's going down.
- 14:29Speaker 9: Don't you ever look towards the positive part of life?
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yes, I do. Yes, I do.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Mike tells you to, right?
- 14:39Speaker 7: No, I look at the positive. Like, I'm positively happy
- 14:42Speaker 7: that you called me today.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 7: But, I mean, I'm happy, and then when I'm on
- 14:49Speaker 7: this high, you always say the same thing to me.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Oh, I go to goal.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 9: Hey, was it Ted that said his wife doesn't talk
- 14:58Speaker 9: to him?
- 14:59Speaker 7: He says he reads a lot, too, because his wife
- 15:01Speaker 7: doesn't talk to him.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I think he was making a joke.
- 15:03Speaker 9: How did he do that, Ronnie? I've got to find out.
- 15:06Speaker 9: I had to get my wife to stop talking.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Well, I'll ask him next time. Maybe he can give
- 15:12Speaker 1: you some pointers.
- 15:13Speaker 9: Yeah, well, I mean, I think a lot of your
- 15:16Speaker 9: listeners could use some information.
- 15:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But wait, wait, wait.
- 15:23Speaker 8: Ted, didn't he, he was.
- 15:24Speaker 9: Like calling Frank names. Not really, but I got a
- 15:29Speaker 9: new nickname for Frank. You know, you always say Joe
- 15:32Speaker 9: Bag of Donuts.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:34Speaker 9: Okay, well, Frank is just, Joe Bagado.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Not bad. Not bad.
- 15:42Speaker 3: All right.
- 15:43Speaker 8: I got to go.
- 15:43Speaker 1: He's always got to go. You're on the air.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Mr.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Verb. Yes. How are you?
- 15:51Speaker 1: Fifth Avenue, I am fine. Nice to hear your voice.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I am, again, waiting. It's rainy outside. If it was
- 15:59Speaker 4: a nice day, I probably wouldn't be calling you, but
- 16:02Speaker 4: it's a rainy, kind of crummy day, so..
- 16:05Speaker 1: Remember that old song that was at Brook Benton? Who
- 16:07Speaker 1: did it? It's a rainy night in Georgia.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Rainy night in Georgia. Yes, you got it.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It should be raining all over the world.
- 16:13Speaker 4: I forget. I'm surprised you remember that. That's an oldie
- 16:17Speaker 4: but goodie.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Well, I'm an oldie but goodie.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Well, I don't know if you're that old, though.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You're an oldie. You're a real oldie but goodie.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Some of your callers that call in, just, I get...
- 16:34Speaker 4: What can I say? I get my stomach churns because
- 16:38Speaker 4: I just don't, the minute that you say anything that
- 16:47Speaker 4: is anti-Trump.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Stand by for me. Stand by.
- 16:54Speaker 7: I'm going to get back to Fifth Avenue and find
- 16:56Speaker 7: out why his belly's churning right after this.
- 16:58Speaker 6: I Heart Radio.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Back to News Radio 570 WKBN. All right, I'm like
- 17:07Speaker 1: a doctor. I've got to get back to Fifth Avenue.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Fifth Avenue?
- 17:10Speaker 4: I'm here.
- 17:10Speaker 1: All right, your stomach churns by some of the callers.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Explain to me.
- 17:14Speaker 4: A lot of your callers.
- 17:15Speaker 1: All right, explain, please. I'll listen.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Most of them are all pro-Trump. They're all pro-Trump.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Well, what's your analysis of what..
- 17:26Speaker 4: When you said about... You're talking about the gas situation and...
- 17:31Speaker 4: the invasion of Iran, that it should have never happened
- 17:36Speaker 4: in the first place, and it was $ 2. 50 a gallon
- 17:38Speaker 4: before that. I mean, all that stuff that you're all
- 17:42Speaker 4: talking about. And they come on and they jump on
- 17:48Speaker 4: you because what you're saying is absolutely 100% correct. But
- 17:55Speaker 4: yet they try to talk you down in that you're
- 17:58Speaker 4: not backing Trump and what he's doing right now. And
- 18:02Speaker 4: that to me is America. If that is America from
- 18:08Speaker 4: sea to shining sea, we're in big trouble. We're in
- 18:12Speaker 4: big trouble. Because I don't see us surviving with people
- 18:19Speaker 4: that cannot critically put together a situation and come out
- 18:25Speaker 4: of it with a logical solution. And if this was
- 18:30Speaker 4: John F. Kennedy that was sitting in that White House today,
- 18:35Speaker 4: if he was sitting there, in my opinion, he was
- 18:38Speaker 4: probably one of the best presidents in my generation. If
- 18:42Speaker 4: he was sitting there, I would be as adamantly against
- 18:47Speaker 4: his policies if he was doing what Trump is doing.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I would be 1,000% adamant about what he would be
- 18:58Speaker 4: doing in this Middle East situation, just his administration overall.
- 19:03Speaker 4: So don't tell me it's because it's a Republican. No,
- 19:07Speaker 4: it's not because it's a Republican. A lot of your
- 19:11Speaker 4: callers are not informed. They don't read. There's this knee-jerk reaction.
- 19:20Speaker 4: They want to put down the scientists. They want to
- 19:22Speaker 4: say that all of the intelligent people in this country
- 19:28Speaker 4: are not supposed to be believed anymore. This country is
- 19:34Speaker 4: in deep trouble if that's the line that these people
- 19:41Speaker 4: in this country want to follow. Trump's administration, Trump is
- 19:46Speaker 4: there for one reason and one reason only. He's there
- 19:49Speaker 4: to make money, period, for himself, his family, and his companies.
- 19:56Speaker 4: And damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. And that's Mr. Trump.
- 20:02Speaker 4: And that's what he's doing. It doesn't matter if there's
- 20:05Speaker 4: no checks and balances involved. It doesn't matter if there's
- 20:08Speaker 4: a Constitution involved. It doesn't matter that the Republicans are
- 20:12Speaker 4: sitting on their hands and putting up with this nonsense
- 20:17Speaker 4: that's coming out of this administration. How, in God's name,
- 20:22Speaker 4: your callers cannot see it is being... That's what makes
- 20:27Speaker 4: my stomach churn, because the... And a lot of these
- 20:32Speaker 4: people are not young people. They're older people. This guy
- 20:36Speaker 4: you just talked to, he was your age. And the
- 20:39Speaker 4: other ones, you know, they're 60s, 70s. So I just
- 20:44Speaker 4: say that the country is in deep trouble. Again, I'm
- 20:48Speaker 4: going to repeat myself. If this was Kennedy, I would
- 20:53Speaker 4: just be as much against him if he was doing
- 20:56Speaker 4: this nonsense that's going on in this country right now.
- 21:01Speaker 7: So basically, just to emphasize, it doesn't matter if the
- 21:04Speaker 7: person's a Democrat or Republican to you. It's based on
- 21:07Speaker 7: what they're doing, and you would be critical no matter
- 21:10Speaker 7: what party they're with. If a Democrat was doing the
- 21:13Speaker 7: same thing you say that Trump is doing right now,
- 21:16Speaker 7: you'd be critical.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Adamant, adamant. Yes, I would. We're very critical, just as
- 21:23Speaker 4: I'm critical against Trump. Trump is so far in over
- 21:30Speaker 4: his head. It is pathetic. He doesn't belong in that
- 21:35Speaker 4: position no more than I do. And I'm telling you,
- 21:39Speaker 4: he's in over his head. And they keep saying about
- 21:42Speaker 4: Biden and his declining. Have you seen pictures of Trump recently?
- 21:47Speaker 4: The guy looks like he can't even stand up straight.
- 21:50Speaker 4: And I'm not saying this because he's a sickened Republican.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I'm saying it because it's the truth. If you don't
- 22:00Speaker 4: believe your eyes, guess what? Your tongue is going to lie.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Your tongue will lie.
- 22:08Speaker 7: Do you think people like Trump and Biden are just
- 22:10Speaker 7: too old to be president anymore?
- 22:11Speaker 4: There should have been term limits.
- 22:16Speaker 7: I mean, if I said to you, I think it
- 22:18Speaker 7: was rather obvious, Reagan in his second term was definitely
- 22:21Speaker 7: suffering from dementia.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 22:24Speaker 7: I mean, and there are many people that say, obviously,
- 22:26Speaker 7: Biden had big problems. And then you got people saying, well, look,
- 22:29Speaker 7: Trump's falling asleep and that kind of stuff. But these
- 22:31Speaker 7: are all all of them are really old guys. Hang
- 22:35Speaker 7: on a second. I'm going to come back to him
- 22:37Speaker 7: and take more of your calls. Ron Verb from the
- 22:39Speaker 7: Kingdom of Mahoning here tonight till six.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Stay tuned. A tornado warning.
- 22:47Speaker 10: Has been issued for Hamilton and southwestern Butler County until
- 22:49Speaker 10: 345 with a storm near Ross moving southeast at 45 mph.
- 22:54Speaker 10: A severe thunderstorm warning is also in effect for several
- 22:56Speaker 10: counties north and east of Cincinnati with 60 mph wind
- 22:59Speaker 10: gusts possible through 4 p.m. Residents should take it to
- 23:02Speaker 10: a safe indoor location as damaging winds, flying debris, and
- 23:06Speaker 10: possible tornado activity threaten the area. Farther east, a flash
- 23:09Speaker 10: flood warning remains in effect until 6-15 for parts of
- 23:12Speaker 10: southern eastern Ohio after three to four inches of rain fell.
- 23:15Speaker 10: And in the meantime, state agents are investigating a fatal
- 23:18Speaker 10: officer-involved shooting in the city of Findlay. The incident happened
- 23:22Speaker 10: yesterday afternoon at a roadway inn on Broad Avenue. Authorities
- 23:27Speaker 10: say 37-year-old Holden Smith was waving a gun around in
- 23:31Speaker 10: the hotel's parking lot and was shot by police when
- 23:33Speaker 10: he raised the weapon.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I'm Brady High.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 23:40Speaker 2: and sports radio.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Podcast 2. Download the app.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Free.
- 23:44Speaker 5: Never sounded so good.
- 23:45Speaker 1: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 23:50Speaker 1: one-day baths. Looks like you're dealing with an accident.
- 23:53Speaker 11: I-80 eastbound just past the I-76-I-80 split. Also, stop-and-go traffic
- 23:58Speaker 11: on I-80 west in Trumbull County. That's between Salt Springs
- 24:01Speaker 11: Road and Route 46. See something we don't? Give our
- 24:04Speaker 11: tip line a call.
- 24:06Speaker 1: 330-305-1159. I'm Mike Ross from the Total Traffic Center. This
- 24:10Speaker 1: report is sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Now, Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. All right.
- 24:18Speaker 2: So I get it, Fifth Avenue. You're just..
- 24:24Speaker 4: It really upsets me. It really does. Why is it
- 24:27Speaker 4: that the Republican followers, why is it that they cannot
- 24:33Speaker 4: admit that there is a problem? Just as you admit
- 24:39Speaker 4: that there's a problem. And as soon as you do, Oh,
- 24:43Speaker 4: you're sounding Democrat. You're sounding like you're a liberal.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Well, because..
- 24:46Speaker 4: No, that's not the case. That's not the case. I
- 24:50Speaker 4: don't look at it like that. You know, it's either
- 24:53Speaker 4: the truth... Where were you born? Medina, right?
- 24:58Speaker 1: I was born on another planet.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Okay, I think so, too. So you're right up the
- 25:03Speaker 4: street from where I'm at, where I was born. You're
- 25:06Speaker 4: right up the street. Your upbringing was pretty much the
- 25:10Speaker 4: same as mine. You know, you had the same religious
- 25:16Speaker 4: beliefs and social beliefs. We're in the same part of
- 25:19Speaker 4: the country. But the point I'm trying to make is
- 25:24Speaker 4: when people are lying right in front of your face,
- 25:31Speaker 4: if you cannot realize, if you don't accept that, I
- 25:37Speaker 4: have no words for it. I have absolutely no words.
- 25:40Speaker 4: I don't know what to say. If you cannot figure
- 25:44Speaker 4: out that a person is lying to you, then you're
- 25:48Speaker 4: in trouble. We're in trouble.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Do you think Trump really got us into a huge
- 25:52Speaker 7: mess in Iran?
- 25:55Speaker 4: This is the biggest mistake of his 10 years that
- 25:59Speaker 4: he's been around. Well, besides COVID. He screwed up COVID
- 26:02Speaker 4: real good, too. But, yes, without a doubt, that should
- 26:06Speaker 4: have never happened. Obama, oh, God forsake, I said the word. Obama...
- 26:12Speaker 4: He had everything in place to keep Iran under control
- 26:18Speaker 4: as far as an atomic bomb was concerned. And our
- 26:21Speaker 4: gas was $ 2, $ 2.
- 26:22Speaker 8: 50, $ 2.
- 26:22Speaker 4: 25, $ 1.
- 26:23Speaker 6: 95.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Things were going along, but we had, and now... Trump
- 26:31Speaker 4: wants to initiate practically the same thing that Obama already
- 26:35Speaker 4: had in place. And in the meantime, we bomb them
- 26:39Speaker 4: over there. We bomb a school. They kill 140 kids.
- 26:43Speaker 4: We bomb this. We bomb that. None of this is necessary. Plus,
- 26:49Speaker 4: we've lost American soldiers. None of this was necessary. None
- 26:54Speaker 4: of it. None of it. That street would be open today.
- 26:58Speaker 4: We'd probably have... 250 gas, and we'd move on from
- 27:04Speaker 4: there and try to solve some of the world's problems.
- 27:08Speaker 4: But yes, that was a total mistake. And for that alone,
- 27:13Speaker 4: that alone, he should be impeached. Because did he even
- 27:16Speaker 4: ask Congress's permission? No. Where did he get the funding
- 27:22Speaker 4: for it? Did he ask Congress for the money? No.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Where's our checks and balances on this administration? This isn't
- 27:30Speaker 4: my world anymore, Mr. Virp. It's not my world. And
- 27:35Speaker 4: it's a world that, and I know your callers are
- 27:39Speaker 4: going to call, yeah, well, you're at the end of
- 27:41Speaker 4: your world, but this isn't the new wave. If this
- 27:46Speaker 4: is the new wave, your kids and your grandkids are
- 27:50Speaker 4: going to suffer. How much has he added to the
- 27:53Speaker 4: national debt? Two trillion? I don't know. Three trillion? because
- 27:58Speaker 4: of his taxing situation, he's added to the national debt.
- 28:03Speaker 4: I mean, I could go on and on and on.
- 28:04Speaker 4: You had a caller that called in, three or four
- 28:07Speaker 4: calls back, talked about the end of the world and
- 28:10Speaker 4: all that. Well, don't... Just recently, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and...
- 28:20Speaker 4: There's one more. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and they... Oh, Turkey.
- 28:26Speaker 4: They formed a... packed over there that if one is
- 28:33Speaker 4: bombed or attacked that's attacking all three of them so
- 28:37Speaker 4: all three would get involved this is the beginning and
- 28:43Speaker 4: one of those countries they have access to the atomic
- 28:46Speaker 4: bomb right now and I think that's Palestine not Palestine
- 28:54Speaker 4: Pakistan I think Pakistan has the atomic bomb right now
- 28:58Speaker 4: So if one of those countries is attacked, that's like
- 29:02Speaker 4: when we were in World War II. We had the
- 29:07Speaker 4: Allies and the Axis and all that. If one of
- 29:09Speaker 4: those countries is attacked and the other one uses the attack,
- 29:14Speaker 4: you better pay attention to what's going on over there
- 29:18Speaker 4: because it's truly becoming a powder keg that may swirl
- 29:25Speaker 4: out of control and it's going to be It's going
- 29:28Speaker 4: to be disastrous. I hope not. I hope people come
- 29:32Speaker 4: to their senses. I don't know. Again, this is not
- 29:37Speaker 4: my world anymore. This isn't what I want. I grew
- 29:40Speaker 4: up with.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Before I move along, what's for dinner?
- 29:43Speaker 4: What's for dinner? I made a pizza. But this wasn't
- 29:51Speaker 4: of my doing. So I added something to it, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 4: a little bit here and there. But I had a
- 29:55Speaker 4: pizza that I pulled out of the freezer. And that's
- 29:59Speaker 4: what we had. I put more cheese on it. I
- 30:01Speaker 4: had some homemade sauce that I put on top. When
- 30:03Speaker 4: I put peppers on it, I cut up some pepperoni
- 30:06Speaker 4: and blah, blah, blah.
- 30:07Speaker 1: So this was like a store-bought pizza, but you added
- 30:10Speaker 1: to it.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Exactly. Gotcha. And if you would, and you keep talking
- 30:16Speaker 4: about this Ohio, what is your electric bill?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I want to go back to, I have it right
- 30:24Speaker 4: in front of me. My 2022 bill. July 25th, 2022
- 30:32Speaker 4: was $ 94. 67. My August 3rd, 2026 bill was $ 136. 28. Now,
- 30:45Speaker 4: that's probably because that was during a hot month and
- 30:50Speaker 4: that air conditioning ran day and night. But so far,
- 30:54Speaker 4: that's the highest bill that I can take you back
- 30:56Speaker 4: four years. with other bills, and you're off by $ 20
- 31:00Speaker 4: or $ 30. I don't know where you're coming up with
- 31:05Speaker 4: this electric bill that's doubling and tripling in your home.
- 31:10Speaker 4: You've got me confused here. You cook with electric?
- 31:17Speaker 1: Yes, she has an electric stove. That is true.
- 31:20Speaker 4: There's a big one right there. How is your home air-conditioned? Gas?
- 31:24Speaker 8: Gas.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Oh, heated?
- 31:27Speaker 4: No, that's electric.
- 31:28Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 31:30Speaker 7: The stove is electric, the dryer's gas, and obviously there's
- 31:35Speaker 7: air conditioning. But it's all air conditioning. We cool to 72.
- 31:41Speaker 7: I have a couple of what they call roof vent
- 31:44Speaker 7: fans that run to keep the..
- 31:46Speaker 1: You have about 3,600 square footer, 4,500 square footer.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Can I ask what your square footage is? 2,400. You're
- 31:57Speaker 4: about 300 more than mine. I'm about 20, 21. Right. Okay.
- 32:05Speaker 1: And insulated well and all that kind of stuff. But it's... Okay.
- 32:09Speaker 4: For the life of me.
- 32:12Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Maybe you should start eating out more instead of cooking
- 32:15Speaker 4: at home.
- 32:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:17Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 32:18Speaker 4: I can't figure out why you're doing so high.
- 32:20Speaker 7: Maybe you should start dropping stuff over so that we
- 32:23Speaker 7: don't have to cook and I can just take it home.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Do you have parties every weekend?
- 32:28Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 32:29Speaker 1: It's kind of a constant party.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Do you have other people living there that you're not
- 32:33Speaker 4: aware of?
- 32:34Speaker 5: Yes.
- 32:35Speaker 7: I have some illegals living there, and it's like a
- 32:37Speaker 7: fraternity house with parties on the weekends.
- 32:41Speaker 1: All right. Have a good night, my friends. Good hearing
- 32:44Speaker 1: your voice. All right. You're on the air.
- 32:48Speaker 6: So what you're saying is.
- 32:50Speaker 7: I'm glad you called. The guru of Gerard. Michael, he
- 32:55Speaker 7: sent me, folks. You have officially become like, did you
- 33:00Speaker 7: buy this e-bike, e-trike?
- 33:03Speaker 6: I am right now. evaluating between those two to decide.
- 33:07Speaker 6: I think I'm going to go with electric and get
- 33:10Speaker 6: the extra battery and run one of those cool flags
- 33:16Speaker 6: on top. So what you're saying is you think if
- 33:19Speaker 6: I ride this that no longer attractive young women are
- 33:22Speaker 6: going to want to get with me?
- 33:23Speaker 7: Oh, there's no question in my mind about that. That
- 33:26Speaker 7: goes without saying. This is an electric e-bike.
- 33:31Speaker 1: It's a trike.
- 33:33Speaker 7: And, yeah, there is no question if you're on this,
- 33:37Speaker 7: your wife might even divorce you if you start riding this.
- 33:41Speaker 6: I offered to buy her one. She said, no way,
- 33:43Speaker 6: but I will ride with you on my regular bike.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh, my God, yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 6: She can do it, too. I mean, she runs like
- 33:50Speaker 6: half marathons.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Right, right. And you're going to put the orange flag
- 33:56Speaker 1: on it, too.
- 33:57Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 6: And the big oversized seat with the back on it
- 34:02Speaker 6: and the lights.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Now, what does this cost? What's the price tag?
- 34:09Speaker 6: $ 1, 700, I think. If I get the extra battery, I
- 34:14Speaker 6: think it's an extra $ 400 or something. But I'm not
- 34:17Speaker 6: going to do it all at once. We'll get 70
- 34:18Speaker 6: miles on a charge.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Where are you planning on taking it?
- 34:26Speaker 6: Well, so you said, you know, like, jib-jabs or my
- 34:30Speaker 6: grandniece and nephew's sports games, to go visit my dad,
- 34:34Speaker 6: to go up to speak to Giant Eagle, maybe around
- 34:38Speaker 6: Dollar General.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Now, would you be riding it on the road or
- 34:43Speaker 1: on the sidewalk?
- 34:45Speaker 6: Oh, I mean, you could do either, but, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 6: the road, but I'm not going to really, like, focus
- 34:50Speaker 6: on busy roads, you know? Even if I take it, like,
- 34:52Speaker 6: to YSU, for example, I was just looking at the map.
- 34:55Speaker 6: Do you realize I can get from Girard to YSU
- 34:57Speaker 6: without really, like, going on.
- 34:58Speaker 8: Any busy roads?
- 34:59Speaker 1: Where would you park it that it wouldn't get stolen?
- 35:03Speaker 6: No, you can't steal it. It's, like, got a key and,
- 35:05Speaker 6: you know.
- 35:07Speaker 1: You've got to lock it.
- 35:08Speaker 6: You could lock it.
- 35:09Speaker 1: You've got to lock it.
- 35:11Speaker 7: You've got to lock it down. Don't think it can't
- 35:13Speaker 7: be stolen because you've got a key. I mean, if
- 35:17Speaker 7: you don't chain that thing down, that would be gone.
- 35:18Speaker 6: Well, I'll bring a couple locks. Okay. You know, I'll
- 35:22Speaker 6: get a couple locks and lock it. Like, they've got
- 35:24Speaker 6: a parking garage. You know, park it right in front
- 35:26Speaker 6: of the camera. It's a parking garage. I don't know.
- 35:29Speaker 6: I mean, I'm only going to do it a few
- 35:30Speaker 6: days because once it gets cold.
- 35:32Speaker 4: They're going to do it a mile.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:34Speaker 6: I'm just thinking, you know, ever since I got my
- 35:35Speaker 6: zero-turn battery-powered mower, it's, like, changed my whole way of thinking.
- 35:41Speaker 4: Like, I'm bored.
- 35:41Speaker 6: I don't worry about going to get gas anymore. I just,
- 35:43Speaker 6: you know, charge it up and, hey, I got a car.
- 35:46Speaker 6: You know, and I like that. And I just want
- 35:50Speaker 6: something like that, you know, to have around. Like, if
- 35:52Speaker 6: I just want to go to my dad, I don't
- 35:55Speaker 6: want to think about going to buy gas or anything.
- 35:58Speaker 6: It's just, you know. Hop on it and go, and
- 36:01Speaker 6: it's got the two baskets on it, you know?
- 36:03Speaker 1: I know. I'm looking at the picture you sent me.
- 36:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'm looking at it.
- 36:06Speaker 6: I want to be functional. If I'm going to look
- 36:08Speaker 6: like an old geek, I want to really, you know,
- 36:10Speaker 6: be functional.
- 36:12Speaker 7: Do you think if you buy that bike and you
- 36:15Speaker 7: put that orange flag on it, okay, do you think
- 36:19Speaker 7: your wife will ever have sex with you again?
- 36:24Speaker 3: Sure. Sure.
- 36:26Speaker 1: You had to think about it. You paused. You paused.
- 36:30Speaker 7: Do you think that she would ever say as you're
- 36:32Speaker 7: riding down the sidewalk, that's my guy?
- 36:34Speaker 9: That's not the kind of girl she is.
- 36:42Speaker 6: She never cared that I had the old car. In fact,
- 36:45Speaker 6: when I met her, I was going through a phase
- 36:47Speaker 6: where I just didn't have it. I had a pretty
- 36:51Speaker 6: older car, and she didn't care.
- 36:52Speaker 7: Yeah, but you were performing. You were singing, and she
- 36:55Speaker 7: was attracted to the band.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Let's put it that way.
- 36:58Speaker 6: The Smoker Joker. me, man.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Right. Hey, incidentally, you sent me a good article yesterday.
- 37:05Speaker 7: Reiterate what you sent me about that guy that was
- 37:08Speaker 7: calling about fracking coming in Marietta, coming to the surface.
- 37:13Speaker 6: This is scary, man. So, yeah, I remember what was
- 37:17Speaker 6: happening here when they were injecting well water that we
- 37:22Speaker 6: got from Pennsylvania into the ground here because PA outlawed
- 37:27Speaker 6: it and we didn't.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:28Speaker 6: And And they put it, I mean, ideally what they
- 37:32Speaker 6: were saying is, hey, geology is a bunch of layers
- 37:37Speaker 6: on top of each other, right?
- 37:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 6: And certain layers are harder than each other. And as
- 37:41Speaker 6: time goes by, you know, there's a time span that
- 37:44Speaker 6: makes that layer.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:46Speaker 6: So they were, I'm not sure of the exact location.
- 37:50Speaker 6: It was in the Berea area. layer where the Marietta was.
- 37:59Speaker 6: But here, we were putting it down 9,000, 7,000 feet
- 38:03Speaker 6: to a place called the Mount Simon Formation. And so
- 38:07Speaker 6: they drill down, and they make these wells, and then
- 38:10Speaker 6: they go sideways.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Injection wells.
- 38:13Speaker 6: The hydraulic fracture.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Right, right, where they shoot the water in it. And
- 38:19Speaker 1: they shoot water.
- 38:20Speaker 6: And then it comes back up.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 38:22Speaker 6: With the oil and everything, right? It comes back up
- 38:24Speaker 6: first before the oil starts coming out. And then they
- 38:28Speaker 6: take that and that's the injection water, and they say, hey,
- 38:30Speaker 6: let's put this instead of... They used to put it
- 38:32Speaker 6: in ponds in Ohio, and now we just leach into
- 38:35Speaker 6: all the wells and everything. And it's radio... Oh, I
- 38:38Speaker 6: forgot to mention. Because it's down that far, it's often
- 38:41Speaker 6: radioactive material. So it's not like... It's not just going to...
- 38:44Speaker 6: It's not going to clean itself up. You know, it
- 38:46Speaker 6: takes a long time.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 38:47Speaker 3: So..
- 38:48Speaker 6: All right, so these injection wells, they said, all right,
- 38:50Speaker 6: you can go and put it in these old injection
- 38:53Speaker 6: wells that we used to put, we got oil out
- 38:57Speaker 6: of that was higher, up in, it wasn't 7,000 feet,
- 38:59Speaker 6: it was like 4,000 feet, but they were all empty
- 39:02Speaker 6: because we took all the natural gas and oil out
- 39:04Speaker 6: of there. So we'll put that water back in there. Well,
- 39:08Speaker 6: it turns out that didn't work so well because it
- 39:11Speaker 6: wasn't deep enough and it was going into the water table.
- 39:14Speaker 6: So they said, all right, well, why don't we put
- 39:15Speaker 6: it into the same level that we're putting it into
- 39:20Speaker 6: when we get the well out on these injections, like 9,000,
- 39:24Speaker 6: 7,000 feet down.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:26Speaker 7: They drilled these wells. And remember, the controversy was your tape.
- 39:30Speaker 7: the water and you're taking it out of the water cycle.
- 39:33Speaker 6: Oh, that's for sure, too.
- 39:35Speaker 1: It no longer.
- 39:36Speaker 7: Exists because you only have so much. And you're taking
- 39:39Speaker 7: it out of the water cycle and you're injecting it
- 39:42Speaker 7: in the ground, and that's the end of it. So
- 39:45Speaker 7: that's what they did. in Marietta, and now they thought
- 39:49Speaker 7: the problem's solved, it's in the injection well. Remember around
- 39:52Speaker 7: here we had earthquakes with it and that kind of stuff.
- 39:55Speaker 6: Well, there's one piece you're missing, though, Ron, on the
- 39:57Speaker 6: injection well. They made them cap it with, like, many
- 40:02Speaker 6: thousand feet of cement to keep it down at that
- 40:05Speaker 6: layer so they didn't come up layers and get into
- 40:08Speaker 6: the water table. And that's what's happening in Marietta. It's
- 40:12Speaker 6: coming through. It found another way out And, you know,
- 40:15Speaker 6: an earthquake or something can happen, anything that cracks, make
- 40:17Speaker 6: the crack in the ground, and you've got this stuff
- 40:20Speaker 6: in it, you know, it wants to come out. And
- 40:22Speaker 6: it's going to come out because the only other alternative,
- 40:24Speaker 6: the one thing we said out of the water table,
- 40:26Speaker 6: I'll only correct you on one thing. When you get
- 40:29Speaker 6: down so far into the earth, this liquid that's in there,
- 40:32Speaker 6: they expect and have proven in some ways that that
- 40:36Speaker 6: water flows within the earth, too. And that comes out,
- 40:39Speaker 6: but it often comes out so far down that it
- 40:41Speaker 6: comes out into the oceans.
- 40:43Speaker 7: So the bottom line is that this water was never
- 40:47Speaker 7: supposed to surface because they capped it with concrete in
- 40:50Speaker 7: these injection wells, and somehow it's leaching back up to
- 40:53Speaker 7: the surface, right?
- 40:55Speaker 6: Yep, that's what I was reading. I didn't even hear
- 40:58Speaker 6: about that until you said it yesterday, too, so thanks
- 41:00Speaker 6: for getting me up to speed.
- 41:01Speaker 7: I haven't been as— Well, I didn't hear about it
- 41:04Speaker 7: until that guy called about it yesterday, and then you
- 41:06Speaker 7: sent me that article in Son of a Gun. There
- 41:08Speaker 7: it is in Marietta where they're saying— They put the
- 41:12Speaker 7: wastewater from fracking into these injection wells, and now they've
- 41:17Speaker 7: got a problem because it isn't supposed to resurface, and
- 41:20Speaker 7: it is.
- 41:21Speaker 1: We'll have to talk more about it.
- 41:22Speaker 6: This is really scary.
- 41:24Speaker 1: It's of concern. It's of concern because of— Well, because.
- 41:27Speaker 6: If that gets in your drinking water, it's not going away.
- 41:30Speaker 6: If that got into meander, it could be done.
- 41:34Speaker 1: All right, old-timer. Talk to you later. See you. All right.
- 41:37Speaker 1: It's the guru of Gerard. Miguel, back in a minute.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Back to School is almost here.
- 41:47Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. And Ron Furby, you're on air.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Hello?
- 41:53Speaker 7: Yes.
- 41:55Speaker 12: Kelly from Youngstown?
- 41:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 41:57Speaker 12: So I just want to say the guy, Fifth Avenue,
- 41:59Speaker 12: that said it's all old people calling in, well.
- 42:02Speaker 6: I'm a young one.
- 42:03Speaker 12: I'm a boomer baby.
- 42:04Speaker 6: I'm Gen X.
- 42:06Speaker 12: And I voted for Donald Trump every single time. I'd
- 42:09Speaker 12: vote for him again in 2028. And that guy that
- 42:13Speaker 12: called about Iran... And I agree with him. Finish the job.
- 42:18Speaker 12: I voted for this. Finish the job. Because no other
- 42:22Speaker 12: president will have the guts to do it except him
- 42:25Speaker 12: in my lifetime.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Okay?
- 42:28Speaker 12: And the Fifth Avenue wants to talk about Obama. He
- 42:31Speaker 12: was the biggest divider of this country that this country
- 42:34Speaker 12: ever had. And send pallets of cash to Iran. That's
- 42:37Speaker 12: how you want to solve the problem? Send them money
- 42:40Speaker 12: to build the nuclear weapons? and Hillary with the Uranium One.
- 42:45Speaker 12: So I don't know what Fifth Avenue is thinking, but
- 42:49Speaker 12: I'm young, and I would vote for Donald Trump again.
- 42:52Speaker 12: And you got Obama supporting El-Sayed in Michigan, running for Senate.
- 42:57Speaker 8: The socialist.
- 42:59Speaker 12: Anyone see a pattern here of the socialism takeover of
- 43:03Speaker 12: this country? I don't want my grandkids to have a
- 43:05Speaker 12: socialist country. I don't want Sharia law to be implemented here.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Well stated. Well stated.
- 43:14Speaker 12: And you know what?
- 43:16Speaker 5: Okay.
- 43:16Speaker 12: Has he made some decisions about Iran? Trump has told
- 43:20Speaker 12: his administration they have all said his heart breaks when
- 43:24Speaker 12: a soldier dies. I totally believe that with him. There's
- 43:29Speaker 12: a side to Donald Trump that nobody knows because they're
- 43:32Speaker 12: watching all the lies on all the mainstream media that's
- 43:35Speaker 12: out about him.
- 43:36Speaker 5: Not all the good stuff.
- 43:38Speaker 12: They refuse to even report it. They won't even put
- 43:40Speaker 12: the State of the Union address up of a president.
- 43:44Speaker 12: Are you kidding me?
- 43:45Speaker 3: So, anyway.
- 43:49Speaker 7: Very impressive. I want you to call me more often.
- 43:51Speaker 7: We've got to hear more of what you have to say, okay?
- 43:54Speaker 5: Oh, sounds good.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Thank you. We really do. You're on the air.
- 43:59Speaker 8: Hello, Ron.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Thanks for taking my call. I'd like to share a
- 44:01Speaker 3: few quick articles. This is Wall Street Journal today. Gulf
- 44:05Speaker 3: states accept new normal in Hormuz. Iran is in control.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Persian Gulf energy producers are concluding that Iran's control of
- 44:14Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuz will become permanent, disrupting the oil
- 44:17Speaker 3: and gas exports and global energy supplies indefinitely. The problem
- 44:23Speaker 3: is a worthy alternative is going back to war would
- 44:25Speaker 3: be worse. So Iran kind of accepted that, uh, I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 3: other states around the Persian Gulf have kind of accepted
- 44:32Speaker 3: that Iran's called the shots now.
- 44:35Speaker 7: I tell you what, you need to call me tomorrow
- 44:38Speaker 7: when I start at 3 o'clock and pick it up.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I want to hear more of this. I'm out of time, okay?
- 44:43Speaker 1: I need to hear this. Thank you.
