- 0:08Speaker 1: morning morning.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Now you've been sampling already itself.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Frozen treats here. Uh.
- 0:16Speaker 3: These are sort of popsicles. They're called paletas, Is that right?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 0:22Speaker 4: So I brought you in ice cream for breakfast.
- 0:25Speaker 5: I mean, I am not a responsible adult today, but
- 0:29Speaker 5: enjoy because I love ice cream for breakfast, especially when
- 0:32Speaker 5: it is high quality, like fruit dance like these politas.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Now this they're both good, but let me start with
- 0:38Speaker 1: the fruit one. What is this? Do you know?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Okay, so that polata is a raspberry mint limeade.
- 0:47Speaker 3: It's really delicious and it's an icy pop.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Yes, So I brought in Joy popsicles or Joy pops.
- 0:55Speaker 4: She's a sandy location.
- 0:57Speaker 5: And truthfully, the first time I her pops, I thought,
- 1:02Speaker 5: oh yeah, I've had those like grocery store, Costco whatever,
- 1:05Speaker 5: and you get them at the end of barbecues and
- 1:07Speaker 5: you're like, sure, whatever, I'll have a little bit of
- 1:08Speaker 5: a sugar pop.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I ate that and I was blown away.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, these are amazing. I got the best one
- 1:15Speaker 1: I've ever had. So what makes them different from those?
- 1:18Speaker 5: So you know, Pauletta's in general are different just because
- 1:21Speaker 5: they are really dense in fruit and super creamy. Where
- 1:25Speaker 5: is it, you know, like the usual American pop, super sugary,
- 1:28Speaker 5: super icy. And that's what makes it different is the
- 1:32Speaker 5: fruit content. It really tastes like you're just eating a
- 1:36Speaker 5: bunch of dense fruit, which is so delicious.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So this is a strawberry mango and it's it's like
- 1:42Speaker 2: biting a piece of fruit. Now, it's just delicious.
- 1:45Speaker 5: This one that was the berry cheesecake.
- 1:49Speaker 1: This is an ice cream bar.
- 1:51Speaker 4: These are creamy area yep.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Ice cream bar, and then the other ones are like
- 1:55Speaker 1: it's like a popsicle pop yep.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So she does two different varieties. One is the creamy,
- 1:59Speaker 4: so you're holding the cookies and cream.
- 2:04Speaker 2: O there right in the middle.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I've almost completely finished.
- 2:09Speaker 5: They had so dense too. Yeah you can see how
- 2:11Speaker 5: much cookie is in there. But yes, So there's the
- 2:13Speaker 5: cream based and that's the cookies and cream that's the cheesecake.
- 2:16Speaker 5: They have a creamy strawberry, which is my favorite. It's
- 2:19Speaker 5: like strawberry ice cream. And then then they have the
- 2:23Speaker 5: fruity ones, which, like you said, the strawberry mango, raspberry
- 2:27Speaker 5: mint I made. So people have already tuned in on
- 2:29Speaker 5: my Instagram. I posted this morning on my stories and
- 2:32Speaker 5: I've had several people already say they love them and
- 2:35Speaker 5: they can't wait to get them again to you know,
- 2:37Speaker 5: it's it's summertime, it's still hot.
- 2:39Speaker 4: You got to go out and get them now.
- 2:40Speaker 1: They also have soft rice cream.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Yeah, so they have saus serve ice cream, and then
- 2:45Speaker 5: they actually have a make your own poletta bar, so
- 2:48Speaker 5: you can do a base and then they have toppings
- 2:51Speaker 5: you can dip them in chocolate.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It truly is an experience.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Again, I've seen these, you know, these shops and I
- 2:57Speaker 5: just passed by them because I think.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Oh, it's just a pop sicle shop.
- 3:01Speaker 5: But the first time I ate Joy popsicles, it was intense.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And they also have one of my favorite beverages, hort
- 3:08Speaker 2: Chatta yep.
- 3:09Speaker 5: So, so she started it about six years years ago.
- 3:13Speaker 5: It's Latina owned and so you know, she knows Pauletta's
- 3:17Speaker 5: and she knows Orchata. She's been doing it for about
- 3:19Speaker 5: six years and she was her name is Callie LeBaron
- 3:24Speaker 5: and she actually was at my Sugar High show. That's
- 3:28Speaker 5: how I first found out about her. And it really
- 3:31Speaker 5: was that first taste that I thought, Oh, we have
- 3:34Speaker 5: to get you in and we have to get the
- 3:36Speaker 5: state tasting this, and that is a reaction Almost every
- 3:40Speaker 5: time I have somebody try these is wow, like I
- 3:43Speaker 5: need another one, And.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I feel like the hor chatta I've had around town is.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Like some mix that. Yeah, you know, does this tastes fresh?
- 3:51Speaker 4: Oh, it's totally fresh.
- 3:53Speaker 5: And again she understands it, and you'll see in all
- 3:56Speaker 5: of her drinks there. She does iced coffees and hot
- 3:58Speaker 5: coffees and other a lottaese and whatnot.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So the fruit based one she has are tropical Mohido, raspberry, strawberry, mango,
- 4:08Speaker 2: which is the one I had, watermelon. Oh, I would
- 4:10Speaker 2: have liked to be good at the watermelon, pineapple and
- 4:13Speaker 2: mango Kiwi. The cream based ones Cookies and Cream, Delicious,
- 4:18Speaker 2: berry cheesecake, Delicious, coconut, chocolate, brownie, vanilla, strawberry, banana, cookie, butter,
- 4:28Speaker 2: fruit bites.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Oh, there's cookie butter. It's so good. But it's so good.
- 4:33Speaker 2: There's peanut butter, Delcha delech cinnamon toast. All these Macha
- 4:42Speaker 2: Marzapan peeb and Jay also sold out.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 4:46Speaker 5: Yeah, the peeb and Jay is the only one I
- 4:48Speaker 5: haven't tried that. I'm so excited to try, so I
- 4:50Speaker 5: just had to pop in when she has that one
- 4:52Speaker 5: made by so many flavors, so fresh, and like I said,
- 4:57Speaker 5: you can go in and mix and match that. She
- 4:58Speaker 5: has a bunch of toppings that you can put on it,
- 5:00Speaker 5: cookies or the cookie butter is so legit, it's it's
- 5:05Speaker 5: the best form.
- 5:06Speaker 4: You can eat it all, eat cookie butter or anything.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Now, how well would these travel?
- 5:11Speaker 5: So I traveled up from here and I put them
- 5:14Speaker 5: in a little cooler. I think since they are so dense,
- 5:17Speaker 5: they do travel pretty well. I mean, obviously you're gonna
- 5:20Speaker 5: put them on ice or you want to eat them immediately.
- 5:22Speaker 5: But if you have a cooler with ice, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 5: you can get them home easily and put them back
- 5:27Speaker 5: in the freezer.
